(EAW intro plays.)
(As usual, a highlight video plays recapping last week’s exciting show, focusing heavily on the action, as well as the build for Tempest. Samael would cash in his 24/7 contract to challenge the new EAW World Champion, Myles, at Tempest. Yhwach O’Hara would pick his next target, which looks to be none other than Drake King. The brand new Universal Women’s Champion, Dr. Bethany Blue, would welcome anyone to step up and challenge her, and reveal that a number one contender’s match featuring Usagi Senshi and Harper Lee, would be taking place next week. To end the show, Theron Nikolas would call out Methuselah, but Methuselah would be content to continue playing around with Theron and not reveal his true intentions.)
(Once the recap ends, Voltage fades to the stage, and ‘Self Help Tape’ by Moses Sumney hits, causing extremely loud cheers to come from the crowd. Before long, the Voltage commissioner Captain Charisma begins walking out to the stage. He has a smile on his face as he looks out at all of the cheering fans in attendance, and he is seen holding a microphone in his hand. After a little while Captain Charisma begins walking down the ramp, headed towards the ring as the cheers continue.)
James Peters: It looks like Captain Charisma himself is here to open the show, and I’m interested in seeing what it is he has to say! King of Elite was an exciting event and the Voltage afterwards was just as great, so I could see why Captain Charisma is in such a good mood. It also just makes me even more curious to hear his announcement.
Rich Russillo: I’m with you on that. We know Tempest is coming soon, and knowing Captain Charisma he probably has a lot of surprises waiting for us, some of which he’s probably planning to announce right now!
Persephone: Do you think one of the announcements will be Rex McAllister’s return?
James Peters: I’m honestly not too sure.
(Captain Charisma enters the ring, and he watches on as the fans continue to cheer. After a little while they start quieting down, and this gives Captain Charisma the opportunity to begin speaking.)
Captain Charisma: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Voltage! You all know that there’s a big show ahead of us tonight, but soon enough we’ll be getting even bigger as we head towards not just Tempest, but Super Voltage II!
(This causes another explosion of cheers from the crowd, which Captain Charisma takes note of as he speaks.)
Captain Charisma: That’s right, I’m honestly just as excited as you are. This is always an important time of the year as we’re getting closer and closer to Pain for Pride, and these two shows will give Elitists some great opportunities leading up to the biggest event of the year. We already have two confirmed matches for Tempest, and I shouldn’t even have to explain just how huge those matches are. The first is Theron Nikolas versus Methuselah, a match not many people would have predicted would happen anytime soon. Methuselah made such a surprising return back at King of Elite, and it looks like he may have just started a war between himself and Theron, one that’ll definitely result in a fantastic match! The second is the EAW World Championship match, as the former 24/7 Contract Holder Samael chose to cash in upfront for an opportunity at the newly crowned EAW World Champion, Myles! This is a match we have never seen in EAW and at King of Elite these two will face off in a match with a lot on the line as Myles looks to have a successful first World Championship defense, and Samael looks to have a successful cash in! This is all happening at Tempest, and these are only the first two matches coming up!
(The cheers continue as Captain Charisma keeps speaking, moving on from Tempest.)
Captain Charisma: That brings me to Super Voltage, which will be happening the week before Tempest! There’s still a lot more to come, but there is one thing I can tell you for sure! Last week I revealed the opportunities that were won by Candice Blair and Daryl Kinkade, which were World Championship opportunities! Well, at Grand Rampage the winner of the match between Candice Blair and Daryl Kinkade will receive that Championship match, and I can confirm that this match between the two will main event Super Voltage II! At that show we’ll see if Daryl Kinkade can earn another World Championship match after an excellent performance in his first one this season, or if Candice Blair could pick up the victory, potentially bringing a World Championship to Team Eden!
(After saying this, the look on Captain Charisma’s face changes.)
Captain Charisma: Speaking of Team Eden, there’s some news that I have for you all, and if I were them I’d be listening to this.
(The fans immediately quiet down, eager to hear what Captain Charisma has to say.)
Captain Charisma: As we all know, Eden Sinclair recently took a vacation, and almost entirely disappeared from EAW television. It’s been a while and I have an update for you all, the update being that we’ll no longer be seeing Eden here on Voltage.
(This causes extremely loud cheers, even louder cheers than for any of the other announcements as the fans explode for the reveal that she won’t be part of Voltage any longer.)
Captain Charisma:  The reason Eden will not be returning is that she’s taken up a new job. She will now be in the marketing department for Disneyland Paris, so she’ll be unable to remain in EAW. Honestly, this is fine with me. I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels this way, but Voltage will be perfectly fine without her presence. Honestly, we’ll even be better off. Eden Sinclair made a lot of decisions that I didn’t agree with, and I firmly believe that with her away from this place, we can get back to *actually* making Voltage the best show possible! King of Elite was a major success, and it’s only going to get better from here!
(The cheers continue, but they don’t last very long as ‘Rhapsody in Pink’ by Stela Cole (Clean Version) hits. There’s far more boos now as Candice Blair walks out with a microphone, and Candice doesn’t pay any attention to the reaction whatsoever as she walks down the ramp. She doesn’t look happy at all, which isn’t a surprise whatsoever thanks to what she just learned about Eden Sinclair.)
James Peters: Well one half of the Super Voltage II main event is here, but I don’t think it’s the match that Candice is focused on right now.
Rich Russillo: Yeah, she just learned that Eden Sinclair isn’t going to be around any longer. For a group that’s literally named after her, this can’t be great news!
Persephone: So… Does this mean Rex isn’t one of the announcements?
(Candice enters the ring, immediately beginning to speak.)
Candice Blair: Captain Charisma, bestie, listen to me. Eden Sinclair was amazing. She did so much to help Voltage, and I just don’t think you gave her enough of a chance. Disney has been so beneficial to EAW and Eden Sinclair had the perfect vision for Voltage! As the Face of Disney, I’m personally grateful for all that Eden has done for this brand. I wish that she could have stayed, but I wish her the best of luck because I know that she’s going to excel at everything she does going forward. She’s great at what she does, and Disney is just as great. I couldn’t have been blessed with a greater opportunity and I don’t appreciate all of the hard work that’s been put in for the sake of making this brand a better place being treated this way. A lot of effort was put into Voltage, and I believe Eden deserves so much better than to have her work treated as a problem.
(Captain Charisma isn’t very amused by where the conversation is going, but before he gets the chance to respond, ‘Kamikaze’ by RedHook hits. Daryl Kinkade walks out as Candice Blair turns to the stage, and Daryl is holding a microphone of his own as he walks out to the stage. Daryl begins walking down the ramp, and he begins to speak on his way towards the ring.)
Daryl Kinkade: Candice, don’t you think you’d be better off focusing on your upcoming World Championship contenders match than whatever’s going on between your group and Disney? Opportunities like this don’t come around often, and I don’t plan to take this match lightly.
(Daryl Kinkade gets a far more positive reaction than Candice did, and as the cheers continue Daryl walks up the steel steps, entering the ring while speaking.)
Daryl Kinkade: It’s been a while since my last World Championship opportunity, and I believe that I can do far greater now than I did back when I was facing Minerva. If you want to take an opportunity like this from me, an opportunity to prove all of the people who believed I couldn’t make it this far wrong, you’ll need your head in the game and so much more.
Candice Blair: You don’t have to worry about me. I’ll be ready for Super Voltage, you’re not the only one that’d like the chance to show just how much they’ve grown since their last World Championship match, and now I’m fighting for a lot more than myself. I have to be a role model now and set a good example especially now that Eden Sinclair isn’t around to make sure things go the right way, so I’m not going to let a match that’d give me a World title opportunity go to waste. You’ve caught me at a bad time, that’s all. I just learned some awful news that’s going to affect Voltage as a whole and I’ll need some time to process this, but by the time Super Voltage comes around I’ll do what’s necessary.
Daryl Kinkade: Will you? To be honest, I don’t have the attachment to Disney or Eden Sinclair or any of that other stuff that you clearly do. I’m not even sure why you’d dedicate your career to Disney rather than your own wrestling ability and growth as a performer. I’m not here to change the entirety of this brand or to be the face of Disney or anything of the sort. I’m just here for the sake of my own career. I’m here so I can one day call myself World Champion and reach heights so many others thought I never could. I hope you’re telling the truth when you say that you’ll be focused come Super Voltage, because when I enter the ring that night, I won’t have a care in the world for whatever it is you’re going through. This situation with Eden won’t matter to me whatsoever. All that’ll matter to me is what’s going on inside of the ring, and if you’re not careful, what’ll happen is me pinning you to earn a shot at winning my first World Championship in EAW.
(There’s loud cheers from the fans, and there’s a brief staredown between Candice and Daryl. This doesn’t last long, as Candice would begin to speak.)
Candice Blair: There’s nothing wrong with what I chose to do with my career. Eden Sinclair gave me an opportunity and I took her up on the offer. I’m grateful that she’d do that for me, and for the last few months I’ve wanted what was best for this brand but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been giving every match my all and making sure I’m at the top of my game. I’d have a lot of trouble representing Disney if I couldn’t even do my job, don’t you think?
(Daryl doesn’t respond, and Candice continues.)
Candice Blair: I can see just how big of an opportunity this is, so I’m going to make sure that I leave Super Voltage with the victory so I can go on to do what’s best for this brand. We need a World Champion that’ll help take Voltage in the right direction, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be you.
Daryl Kinkade: Maybe not. I’m not a representative of Disney, but I’d like to think I’m fighting for what really matters here. If you believe you have what it takes to defeat me we’ll have all the time in the world to find out at Super Voltage, but know this. I’ve never been the type to go down easily, and once that bell rings and our match begins, I’m not stopping until I get the chance to become World Champion.
(Daryl stops speaking, and after this, ‘Kamikaze’ begins to play once again as the fans cheer.)
James Peters: Daryl seems to be focused on what’s to come at Super Voltage II, letting out a warning to Candice Blair as she clearly has a lot on her mind thanks to the departure of Eden Sinclair!
Rich Russillo: There’s no telling whether or not all of this is actually going to leave an impact on her performance, but if we’re to take her word for it then she’ll be bringing her best!
Persephone: Yep. Can’t wait for the match… Should be great, even if Rex isn’t back after all. 😃
James Peters: It’ll be interesting seeing where Team Eden goes from here. They just lost Eden Sinclair herself, just weeks away from Super Voltage II and Tempest!
(Daryl Kinkade finally walks out of the ring, leaving Candice Blair and Captain Charisma, who had watched the back and forth between the two Elitists. As Daryl makes his way up the ramp, Voltage fades away from ringside.)
(A commercial is shown for Indeed, with Ronan Malosi desperately searching for a job following Eden Sinclair’s departure.)
(The camera cuts backstage to both Sierra Everett and Candice Blair, who are sitting next to each other on a staircase, clearly despondent after the news announced earlier, regarding Eden Sinclair and her status with EAW. Neither woman can believe it, and are still having a hard time wrapping their hands around things. Candice is wearing an elegant black dress, but her hair looks a bit ruffled, possibly after running her hands through it as a result of stress. The news about Eden, coupled with her upcoming Super Voltage II main event against Daryl Kinkade, is weighing pretty heavily on her even though she didn’t admit that when she was in the ring a few minutes ago. Sierra wears a leather black top and leggings, and appears more calm about the situation than Candice, but is visibly upset herself.)
Candice Blair: I just… I don’t get why she wouldn’t tell us, tell ME. I thought we were besties.
(Candice can’t help but shake her head at this unfortunate turn of events. All season, she had been working with Eden, Ronan, and Sierra for the greater good of Voltage, and now it just seemed like all that work was down the drain.)
Sierra Everett: Neither do I. I thought things were going great. I thought she’d come back, I thought we could be on the same page again, the same page we were when I first joined. She saw the potential in me, she saw that I should be sharing the ring with better people than an unsafe worker like Hikari Kanno. She also saw the potential in you, that you’d be a great representative for Disney, and that you’d be a great role model for little girls around the world.
Candice Blair: Yeah…
Sierra Everett: I felt Team Eden was gonna take over at one point, but… are we even Team Eden now?
Candice Blair: I- I don’t know.
(Sierra shakes her head briefly.)
Sierra Everett: Enough of this. Look, we can’t keep crying over spilt milk. Eden’s gone, and we’ve gotta start thinking about our future’s in all this. With the recent… changes of plans, we can’t keep fighting for Disney as much anymore, and we’ve gotta start fighting for ourselves.
(Candice takes a deep breath, and refocuses herself.)
Candice Blair: You’re right. I’ve gotta focus on my future, which… could be a Universal Women’s Championship match at Grand Rampage, all I’ve gotta do is make it through Daryl Kinkade.
Sierra Everett: I have plans of my own which I will make known soon . Things will be fine for us. You WILL make it through Daryl Kinkade, and I’ll be proud when you do. You know what? Even though she’s down in Paris, I’m sure Eden will be proud to see us succeed as well, and show that she wasn’t wrong in her belief.
(Sierra places her hand on Candice’s back, and Candice begins to nod while hanging her head low, but lifts her head up, as both women’s attention is diverted by a voice heard off screen.)
???: Girls.
(The arena erupts with boos as Ronan enters the frame, appearing beside the staircase, sporting a smug grin on his face, and expensive olive green suit with white undershirt, evidently not phased by the Eden news as much as Candice and Sierra are.)
Ronan Malosi: I’ve been looking all over for you two, didn’t know you’d be moping here at this staircase. Speaking of, why the long faces?
Candice Blair: Why do you think?
Sierra Everett: Yeah, you didn’t hear the news earlier? Eden’s gone.
Ronan Malosi: :ahh: Ohhh, right. Ya know, I almost forgot all about that, because if we’re being honest, we don’t need Eden. You guys have me now!
(Ronan spreads his arm wide with a smile, expecting a better reaction from the two than one he gets, which is annoying, feeling now isn’t the time for this.)
Ronan Malosi: Cmon, I can make decisions, which will have not just my, but your best interests in mind too. Believe me, you have nothing to worry about. Eden’s departure is “sad”, but a blessing in disguise.
(Sierra and Candice look at one another, almost asking themselves “is this guy forreal?” before standing up off the staircase, and positioning themselves in front of Malosi, going face-to-face. Ronan nods, unaware that the duo aren’t happy with him at the moment.)
Ronan Malosi: Ah, I see, you guys are coming around. But look, if we’re gonna be a unit going forward, I think we need a new team name. After all, Eden’s gone, so I recommend Team… Malosi.
(Ronan takes a moment to acknowledge the resounding boos from fans before shrugging them off, and focusing his attention back on Candice and Sierra, who are extremely irritated, something Malosi continues not to pick up on.)
Ronan Malosi: You guys aren’t feeling that? How about Team Ronan?
Sierra Everett: Team Ronan, Team Malosi, both names SUCK, just like the man behind them.
(Ronan’s mood takes a turn as his smile goes away, being more confused than smug, questioning where this is coming from, but taking some clear offense to Sierra’s words as well.)
Ronan Malosi: What? Sierra, where is this coming from?
Candice Blair: She isn’t saying anything neither of us haven’t thought for months.
Sierra Everett: I mean, you have Eden’s job, congratulations. That doesn’t mean you won’t be completely incompetent like your ex-buddy, Ryan Wilson.
Candice Blair: That’ll be two things he’s incompetent at doing, let’s not get started on his wrestling.
Sierra Everett: You’re right, I mean, we could bring up how he’s embarrassed Team Eden on multiple occasions. You’ve lost match after match after match, so much so, Eden had to bench you.
Candice Blair: Because she’s so kind, you’re lucky she didn’t fire you. But bless her heart, she had optimism, she had belief in Ronan Malosi, and thought that you’d come back to the ring a new man, but here you are, the same one.
Sierra Everett: Ya know what, Candice? He’s probably the reason why Eden didn’t want to return in the first place, not you, not me, HIM!
Candice Blair: She probably thought this team was a lost cause with you on it.
Sierra Everett: Let’s not forget, he’s the reason why we lost the chance to have the Hardcore Championship in our possession.
Candice Blair: Right. You just HAD to cost Halsey.
(Ronan chuckles to himself, in disbelief of what he’s hearing, but begins to retort back.)
Ronan Malosi: Ya know, you can do a lot for someone, but… silly me, I guess that won’t make them grateful. After everything I did for this team, you wanna sit here, and act as if I embarrassed it? When you two had matches, who was there ringside in support? Me, taking unnecessary bullets in the process. Need I mention, I’m a founding father of Team Eden, so I deserve a lot more respect than what I’m getting, especially because I haven’t left you two high and dry, and offered to keep this partnership alive after Eden’s departure. As usual, I’m doing what’s best for the team, which is why I cost Halsey at King of Elite.
Candice Blair: What’s best for the team, or what’s best for yourself?
Ronan Malosi: Obviously, what’s best for the team, alright? And Candice, your record hasn’t been too stellar either.
Sierra Everett: At least she follows up on opportunities like she got at King of Elite.
Ronan Malosi: You’re one to talk, Sierra, because you’ve yet to capitalize on an opportunity yourself. You’ve yet to even beat me, so I don’t why you’re in my face, talking all tough like I won’t drop your skinny ass right here, right now.
(Both Sierra and Candice look toward each other, and back away, which leaves Ronan confident.)
Ronan Malosi: Yeah, walk away.
(Ronan shakes his head before turning around, and into a forearm smash from Halsey Neel.)
James Peters: OOH! HALSEY NEEL JUST TAGGED RONAN MALOSI WITH A FOREARM SMASH, AND BEGINS TO UNLOAD WITH MULTIPLE!
Persephone: AH, THIS ISN’T RIGHT, RONAN’S IN A SUIT! :mjgrinmask:
Rich Russillo: I DON’T THINK HALSEY NEEL CARES- BUT RONAN STARTS TO BATTLE BACK WITH FOREARMS OF HIS OWN, ATTEMPTING TO PUT UP A FIGHT, DESPITE BEING BLINDSIDED!
James Peters: RONAN GRABS HALSEY BY THE THROAT, AND BRINGS HER BY A PRODUCTION CRATE FOR A CHOKESLAM! BUT HALSEY FINDS HER FOOTING ON THE CRATE ITSELF, AND TURNS MALOSI AROUND WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK THAT BREAKS HIS GRIP FROM AROUND HER NECK!
Rich Russillo: SPINNING WHEEL KICK BY CANDICE BLAIR!
Persephone: I THOUGHT THOSE TWO WALKED AWAY!
Rich Russillo: YEAH, BUT I GUESS BECAUSE THEY SAW HALSEY COMING BEHIND RONAN, GIVING HER SPACE TO DO SO!
(Halsey hops off the production crate, and gestures toward Candice and Sierra that Ronan is all theirs as he tries to recover on his knee.)
James Peters: MALOSI IS DOWN TO A KNEE, AND SIERRA AIDS CANDICE IN SENDING RONAN SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE PRODUCTION CRATE!
(Ronan goes down to the floor, favoring his shoulder as he writhes in pain.)
Rich Russillo: NEEL ISN’T DONE YET, AND STARTS TO REIGN DOWN WITH STOMPS ON MALOSI, WHO IS COMPLETELY DEFENSELESS AT THIS POINT!
James Peters: THIS HAS BECOME AN ALL OUT MUGGING FROM THE THREE WOMEN, WHO HAVE REACHED PEAK FRUSTRATION WITH MALOSI!
(Halsey finally stops stomping a downed Malosi, and looks around to both Candice and Sierra, noticing that both women have begun to flank her on either side, forming a new alliance of sorts, of course, with no Malosi in it as they stare down at him.)
Halsey Neel: Super Voltage II, I do what should’ve been done a long time ago, and end Ronan Malosi for good.
(Halsey delivers one last punt kick into the midsection of Malosi, who continues to writhe in pain as the three women walk off, and the camera fades elsewhere.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!!
(Blackway & Black Caviar – “What’s Up Danger” hits!!!!)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma weighing in at 170 pounds he is “The Extreme” KORRRRRRRRRRRRRRREY GAINESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
(Korey Gaines makes his way out to the ring taking in the mixed reaction from the crowd. Korey has an arrogant smirk on his face as he makes his way into the ring and reclines across the top rope in the turnbuckle. He makes a yawning motion with his hand as it is clear he is not taking this match very seriously from his demeanor.)
James Peters: last week we saw Korey Gaines and Mercer McKay fight to a no contest. So you have to imagine Korey would really like to get a win here tonight, especially knowing he has a New Breed Championship match coming up.
Rich Russillo: Agreed. Last week can’t have sat well with him. He prides himself on being a winner and tonight he has a chance to get back on that level of track to do exactly that.
(“Do What I Want” by Lil Uzi Vert hits to cheers from the crowd.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent from Chicago, Illinois weighing in at 212 pounds he is “The Windy City Warrior” JUSTIN THORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSON!!!!
(Justin Thorson makes his way out to the ring looking serious. He does stretches in the ring and doesn’t appear to be phased at all by Korey Gaines’ cocky demeanor. It is clear Justin is taking this match very seriously and has come very well prepared for the task ahead of him. He stares across the ring at Korey awaiting the opening bell.)
James Peters: It’s been some time since we’ve seen Justin Thorson in action so he has had plenty of time to prepare for this match. Do you think that gives him an advantage up against Korey Gaines here tonight?
Rich Russillo: After Korey’s brutal no contest with Mercer that might prove the difference maker here as Justin Thorson may be the fresher competitor and can really get into Korey’s head tonight.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: We are underway as Korey Gaines and Justin Thorson square off in the ring. They are getting ready to lock up in this match here tonight. Korey squatting in the corner as Justin approaches him carefully, not even sure what he is planning. They go to lock up but Korey springs out of the way causing Justin to miss with the lockup. Korey mocking Justin but Justin plays it off with a shrug. Korey looks annoyed that he did not get the reaction he was looking for there. Both men go to lock up in the ring once more and this time they get it in. Fighting for position they are going back and forth out here. Not sure which guy is even stronger. It appears to be quite an even match indeed. Eventually Justin manages to fall backwards with Korey rolling over on top of him as they are still locked up on the floor. Justin tries to transition into a Headlock but Korey rolls through and both men are back up and still locked up!
James Peters: They are really going at it. They are really going at it indeed. Suddenly Korey Gaines with a big burst of energy as he charges Justin Thorson back first into the ring ropes really pressing on him but Justin is fighting back with the intensity! The referee now counting down and forcing the breakup. Forcing Justin off Gaines who is all up in the ropes. But Korey uses the break to immediately transition Justin into a Headlock! Korey has that headlock locked in tightly in the ring and Justin has nowhere to go! Justin uses all his force to run Korey back first into the ropes and then off the momentum manages to shove him off breaking the headlock. No! Korey drops to one knee as he runs back preventing the headlock from being broken and now Justin is in an even worse predicament! Korey trying to keep Justin in control but Justin is fighting back up to his feet and breaking free of the headlock!
Rich Russillo: Justin Thorson leaps up into the air using his legs in a modified Headscissors like maneuver to whip Korey Gaines back first down to the ring with his legs around the neck to keep him locked in between his legs. Justin with a great counter but Korey manages to kick up and to his feet to get out of it. Korey blows a kiss to the crowd really taking in the appreciation for that athletic maneuver here tonight! But Korey might be taking a bit too long playing to the crowd! He turns around and Justin is already back up and whips him down with a swift Arm Drag! Justin keeps the armbar applied with Korey on the ground just wrenching away at that doing some real damage to his limb here tonight. But Korey manages to get his legs around the neck of Justin who quickly rolls out of it back up to his feet not going to allow himself to get captured this early in the match.
James Peters: Both men back up and they have each had a counter for what the other has been doing thus far in the match. But how long will that keep up for?!? Justin Thorson keeping an eye on Korey Gaines as he gets back up in the ring. They go to collide in the ring but Korey goes low to the gut on Justin, shoving him back first up against the ropes. Korey sends Justin off the ropes and catches him with a clothesline on the rebound! No! Justin ducks beneath! Justin runs off the ropes and ducks under yet another clothesline! What speed from Justin on display tonight Korey can’t catch him he’s like a blur! Justin off the ropes and he slides beneath the legs of Korey! Justin up behind Korey and he shoves him from behind sending Korey off the ropes! Justin leaps up to the middle ropes and lands on the shoulders of Korey throwing him back with a perfect form Hurricanrana! What great high flying offense from Justin on display here tonight as Korey is at a loss for how to even deal with him!
Persephone: When in doubt you must deal with your opponent in the Disney way. :wow:
Rich Russillo: Korey Gaines is now flailing wildly before he suddenly eats a big kick to the face from Justin Thorson! Jumping Enzuigiri connects! Big blow right to the face of Korey who is now reeling something fierce here tonight. Justin puts one finger up in the air indicating that he is going up to the top rope! Justin making his way up to the top now and he has something sinister planned here tonigh-
James Peters: No! Korey Gaines grabs the arm of Justin Thorson yanking him down off the top rope into the ring! Smart thinking by Korey who now has Justin at his mercy!
Rich Russillo: Korey Gaines holding the arm of Justin Thorson as both men are slowly back up in the ring. Korey whips Justin across the ring with the speed. Athletic looking leapfrog by Korey over top of Justin! Justin off the ropes… but he eats a big Dropkick to the chest from Korey!
James Peters: Korey Gaines turning things around here tonight in Canada as he plays to the crowd once more holding his arms out in an arrogant fashion but only receives boos from the audience. The reaction for Korey is always mixed when he comes out here, and stuff like this doesn’t help his case.
Persephone: What a disrespectful crowd. You hate to see it. Korey Gaines is a star!
Rich Russillo: Korey Gaines never seems to learn his ego tends to cost him in these matches! Justin Thorson up in the corner as Korey cartwheels across the ring with a Back Elbow into the corner! No! Korey waited too long taunting the crowd and Justin moved out the way! Justin leaps up over to the apron and runs off it as Korey bounces off back into the ring! Justin up to the top rope and leaps off it dragging Korey over the top rope to the outside as Justin himself lands on the apron! Korey tumbles down to the outside of the ring but manages to land on his feet staggering around on the outside! But Justin is not done just yet! Justin runs off the ropes… TOPE CON HILO TO THE OUTSIDE! NO! KOREY GAINES WALKS AWAY AVOIDING THE FLYING ATTACK FROM INSIDE THE RING! WATCH OUT JUSTIN!
James Peters: But Justin Thorson smartly catches the top rope and lands on the apron! Korey Gaines turns around… Justin with an Asai Moonsault! He gets all of it too!
Rich Russillo: Both men crash and burn on the outside! What a phenomenal move there from Justin Thorson who has been firing on all cylinders here tonight! But Justin will have to get Korey Gaines back into the ring if he wants to win this match! He picks Korey up and throws him into the ring! But Korey rolls under the ropes and immediately gets back up to his feet! Korey throws himself over the top rope with a Flying Crossbody to Justin on the outside! That came out of nowhere where did Korey even get the energy to do that? I guess it doesn’t matter as now Korey has suddenly turned this thing around in his favor!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
James Peters: Both men now being counted out outside the ring as Korey Gaines continues to taunt the crowd for an extended period of time before eventually tossing Justin Thorson back into the ring.
Persephone: Extended period is right? Maybe he could make it less extended?
Referee: SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT!
Rich Russillo: Korey Gaines playing with fire as he finally tosses Justin Thorson back into the ring and makes it in himself before the referee reaches nine! Justin pulls himself up in the corner and eats a hard back chop to the chest from Korey!
James Peters: Justin pulls himself up on his hands and knees in the ring as Korey leaps up into the air with a Double Foot Stomp right to the back of Justin! Korey crushing Justin down hard in the ring as he shoves Justin over and falls down next to him. Korey with repeated right hands to the face of Justin just taking advantage now and really pummeling into his opponent here tonight!
Rich Russillo: The referee warning Korey Gaines for those punches as Korey climbs off Justin Thorson and begins kicking at his chest repeatedly as he gets back up. But Justin is powering through! Justin back up as Korey readies himself for an even bigger kick! Korey goes in with a Superkick!-
James Peters: No! Justin Thorson grabs the leg of Korey Gaines and twists it preventing the Superkick from occurring! Justin twists Korey down to his back on the mat before grasping the leg and twisting him around into a Sharpshooter! The deadly hold has been applied and Korey has nowhere to go!
Persephone: KOREY GAINES TAPS OUT IMMEDIATELY! THE MATCH IS OVER!
Rich Russillo: It isn’t actually! Korey Gaines did not tap out! Korey is struggling and trying to get across the ring to reach the ropes! But Justin Thorson manages to sit down harder on the Sharpshooter, really trying to crush the back of his opponent. But Korey is not giving him! He continues to scratch and crawl to get to the ropes! Trying really hard to reach the ropes and can he get there?!?!
James Peters: KOREY GAINES THRUSTS HIS ARM OUT! HE GRASPS THE BOTTOM ROPE! HE GETS IT! KOREY SURVIVES AND THE HOLD IS BROKEN UP! JUSTIN THORSON RELUCTANTLY LETS IT GO AND KOREY LIVES TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY!
Rich Russillo: Justin Thorson was hoping to put Korey Gaines away with that but he is going to have to try something else now! The damage has been done as Korey pulls himself up in the corner and gets a series of hard overhand chops to the shoulders from Justin. Justin whips Korey across the ring… no, the reversal! Justin is sent into the corner as Korey charges in … but he eats a boot to the face from Justin! Korey staggers back as Justin runs in with a Flying Crossbody! But Korey catches Justin and twirls him around in midair! SPINNING SIDE SLAM CONNECTS WITH AUTHORITY!
James Peters: Korey Gaines immediately leaps up to the top rope and flips off with a Diving Shooting Star Press! BAH GAWD ALMIGHTY KOREY GAINES WITH SUCH ATHLETICISM HE JUST FLATTENED JUSTIN THORSON THERE!!! And Korey follows it up with a Standing Shooting Star Press!
Persephone: How has there not even been a single cover in this match yet? It is almost like they don’t want the match to be over. But that can’t be the case right?
Rich Russillo: Korey Gaines now measuring Justin Thorson as he sits back up… RUNNING KNEE STRIKE TO THE HEAD OF JUSTIN!!! Korey just knocked Justin out as Justin is prone in the middle of the ring. Korey makes his way up to the top rope and Justin remains motionless!
James Peters: Korey Gaines is going for it all here! He measures the distance between himself and Justin Thorson before taking the plunge! But Korey takes a moment to play to the crowd! Korey blows kisses to the crowd and screams out about how good he is! Don’t do this Korey! Don’t waste time like this! It’s not going to pay off!!!
Rich Russillo: KOREY GAINES FLIES THROUGH THE AIR!!! OKIE DOKIE!!
Rich Russillo: It connects! Despite the ego display on the top rope Justin Thorson was not able to move out of the way! Korey Gaines gets all of that 450 Splash! Korey slides into the first cover of this entire match!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… KORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREY GAINES!!!
(Korey is seen climbing up to the top rope, spreading his arms out and reaping the benefits of a glorious victory, while the crowd respond to him with a mix of cheers and boos. He looks toward the camera and smirks, making a Championship gesture around his waist signaling that he’s coming for the New Breed Championship. He jumps off of the turnbuckle and down to the canvas and looks to leave the ring, but before he can… ‘Complete Collapse’ by Sleeping With Sirens begins to play through the speakers of the arena.)
Rich Russillo: Oh my, we knew this was coming…
(The crowd responds with a mixed reaction primarily dominated by cheers with the camera panning around from the ring to the stage to show Caroline, who pushes her way out from the backstage area and toward the stage. She had the New Breed Championship wrapped firmly around her waist, with an all-black casual attire over her tonight. Korey can’t help but give a smirk seeing Caroline accept his invitation for Voltage here tonight, leaning against the ropes while Caroline eyes him from the stage. Her look doesn’t reciprocate his, it’s cold, and does not mean any sort of good for her future challenger inside the ring. She already has a microphone in hand while she slowly makes her way down the ramp, taking her time and allowing the moment to soak in especially for Korey.)
James Peters: On Dynasty this week we saw Caroline receive an… interesting note to say the very least from one Korey Gaines. Looking past the way he worded it, he invited ‘The Queen of Shadows’ down to Voltage tonight and it seems like she answered his prayers. But if we know Caroline for certain, if we know her for the type of woman she’s become since her return to Elite Answers Wrestling back at Road To Redemption, we know that this could very well mean no good for Korey inside the ring.
Persephone: Oh c’mon James, be optimistic about all this! I’m sure Caroline will thank Korey for the nice letter that he gave her and they’ll handshake and hug and wish each other good luck heading into their title match! What’s the worst that could happen???
Rich Russillo & James Peters: :lupe:!!!
(Caroline twirls her microphone in her hand and begins to circle around the ring, around Korey, while ‘Complete Collapse’ comes to a close. From there she brings the microphone up to her mouth and begins to speak from there.)
Caroline: I’ll give you one thing, you got my attention. Whether that be in a way good or bad… that’s not even a question. When I learned that my first title defense would be against you I audibly gagged, not just because you’re Korey Gaines, though that already explains much, but the type of Elitist that you’re classified under. I hate Hunter, I hope he’s rotting in the fiery depths exactly where he belongs, but beating him for the title at King of Elite came with a standard for the challengers that followed. Unlike many of our previous Champions, I am by no means a pushover, Tyrone Montgomery can’t just make a few calls and throw whatever challenger he wants against me. I deserve the best, or whatever may be close to that, of what the New Breed division has to offer in terms of talent. To be frank, I don’t think you fit the mold when talking about that. You’re a weirdo who should’ve been forgotten along with the rest of the laughing stocks that roamed this company at some point, but you couldn’t get enough. You came back for more, and thus you’ve made yourself even more of one, who was better off focusing on his petty rivalries with the Ronan Malosi’s of the world… instead of even trying to challenge me. For the past few days I’ve been trying to wrap my mind around why you would even entertain the idea of putting up a good fight against myself, but then it clicked, you’re stupid. All the concussions and comas got to your head. You’re a walking vegetable. So at Tempest if no one will do it, I will, and maybe then you can be with the rest of your family… at most, certainly not a problem for me.
(Caroline comes to a stop and jumps up from the ringside area onto the apron. Korey, ignoring what Caroline had to say about his personal life out of respect, nods his head, impressed at what she had to say tonight, before pushing himself away from the ropes and toward the center of the ring. Caroline slips through the ropes and makes her way over to Korey, who is eyeing the New Breed Championship around her waist.)
Korey Gaines: (Off-Mic) Say what you want about me, Caroline. At Tempest, that title is mine.
(Caroline only responds the same way that she’s had whenever Korey engages her, with a cold blank stare. This doesn’t affect ‘The Extreme’ all that much though, no matter how she may have thought about what he’s pulled off these past few days, he’s still very confident about his chances and how he fares fighting for the New Breed Championship. He doesn’t look to get off on the wrong foot though, holding his hands up before then offering a handshake to Caroline, a sign of respect between the two.)
Rich Russillo: Certainly an interesting approach from Korey heading into this. We know what these two are capable of when all bets are off, and given what they’ve been able to accomplish in their EAW careers so far this is bound to be a hard hitting affair and rightfully so with the New Breed Championship on the line.
(Caroline looks down at the hand, before up at Korey. She unbuckles the New Breed Championship off of her waist, bringing it into her hands and looking down at it… before dropping it down to the ground, leaving Korey confused at what she has in mind.)
James Peters: WELL CAROLINE HAS CERTAINLY RESPONDED TO THAT SIGN OF RESPECT FROM KOREY! CLOCKING HIM RIGHT AGAINST THE FACE BEFORE GRABBING AROUND THE WAIST AND TAKING HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND, CLOBBERING HIM WITH FOREARM AFTER FOREARM TO THE FACE! BEING TAKEN BY SURPRISE COMBINED WITH THE OVERALL FATIGUE THAT HIS MATCH AGAINST JUSTIN THORSON GAVE TO HIM, I DON’T THINK KOREY IS GOING TO BE GIVEN ANY SORT OF CHANCE TO RESPOND RIGHT NOW!
Persephone: What a great ending! Ouch, just look at those shots, is she transitioning into elbow strikes now? Let’s hope our production crew censors this in time!
Rich Russillo: CAROLINE KEEPS KOREY GROUNDED AND HAS HIM BY THE HEAD, USING SHARP ELBOW STRIKES TO SMASH AGAINST HIS SKULL REPEATEDLY! OVER AND OVER AGAIN! LOOK AT THE BLOOD JUST BEGINNING TO POUR OUT RIGHT NOW! I THINK KOREY HAS LEARNED NOT TO MESS AROUND WITH CAROLINE AFTER THIS!
(Caroline drops Korey and pulls herself back up to her feet, wiping her arms off while it immediately cuts to a black and white feed, transitioning over to a bloodied Korey on the ground clutching at his head, looking at his hand and seeing the crimson splattered all over it. Despite all the pain that he’s going through right now, he tries to grab a hold of the bottom rope and pull himself toward it, trying to soften the blow before it can happen.)
James Peters: Caroline is slowly inching closer and closer to her prey, right now Korey is absolutely defenseless! There’s nothing that he can do! She knows that and it’s time for her to pick up the pieces and make a statement heading into their match once and for all. She seizes him by the head and drags him toward the center of the ring…
Rich Russillo: ‘A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE’! HEADLOCK DRIVER SPIKES POOR KOREY GAINES DOWN TO THE CANVAS AND LEAVES IT PAINTED IN HIS OWN BLOOD! THE NEW BREED CHAMPION HAS ARRIVED AND SHE IS TAKING NO PRISONERS HERE ON SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE!
(Caroline slowly rises back up to her feet, eyeing the hard camera while ‘Complete Collapse’ begins to play through the speakers again. An official is seen sliding into the ring, checking on Korey who is knocked out cold, but Caroline ignores it, scooping up her New Breed Championship and raising it over his body. She looks down, before taking her hand and digging something out of her pocket.)
Persephone: Aw, that’s cute, she still has the note that Korey gave him.
(She takes out the crumbled up note, before tossing it down onto the body of Korey and letting it soak up his blood. She turns around and takes her leave while the feed completely focuses on her allowing it to go back to normal. The last shot seen is Caroline disappearing through the backstage area with the New Breed Championship without a second glance while Sunday Night Voltage begins to fade to elsewhere from there.)
(The camera fades into the Voltage parking lot where a number of long black limousines are shown pulling up into the parking lot.)
Rich Russillo: What is going on backstage? It looks like someone important is arriving.
(The doors to the limousines open as a number of men and women wearing suits emerge from the limousines. The driver then opens the doors to the other side of the limousine as a number of scantily clad women wearing feather boas emerge and put their arms around the business officials as they begin to make their way towards the arena.)
James Peters: Umm I’m not sure who these people are but it looks like we are about to find out!
Persephone: Those women don’t look like Disney princesses to me! Should we even be letting them inside the arena?!?
(The officials present backstage passes to the guards at the door before entering into the backstage area of the Scotiabank Saddledome.)
(Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(A commercial is shown for next week’s episode of Friday Night Dynasty, with the headliner being Sienna Jade facing off against Madison Kaline.)
(Voltage returns to ringside, and after a few seconds, ‘Brooklyn The Hole’, a song created by the former Unified Tag Team and Specialists Champion Miku Sakai, begins to play. Only the instrumental of the song is heard, and that’s because as Miku Sakai who made her surprising return last week walks out, she is seen holding a microphone. She has a grin on her face as she walks out to the stage, and before long she begins to sing the lyrics to her own theme. She doesn’t care about any of the boos coming from the fans in attendance, making a performance out of her very first entrance in nearly an entire year.)
James Peters: Miku Sakai is back, and it looks like she’s planning to make a spectacle out of her return to EAW as she’s singing her own song down to the ring! Last week she returned to Voltage after nearly a year away, taking out the Hardcore Champion Hikari Kanno in a very surprising event!
Rich Russillo: We can’t forget though, Miku Sakai didn’t do this all for no reason. Miku’s last appearance in EAW was at Grand Rampage last year, and on that night Hikari betrayed Miku, leaving her injured and unable to compete. Now Miku is back, and it looks like she’s here for revenge.
Persephone: Wow, back before Disney showed up and rui- I mean… Fixed EAW! EAW before Disney was a very dangerous place and I’m glad everything is safer now!
(Miku steps into the ring, and she stops singing as the music goes out. The fans in attendance are loud, but that doesn’t bother her in the slightest. She begins to speak, letting out only two words.)
Miku Sakai: I’m back!
(This causes the fans to grow even louder, most of those fans booing, but still Miku couldn’t care less. In fact, she has a smirk on her face as she continues to speak.)
Miku Sakai: :mjlol2: You all thought it wouldn’t happen, huh? I know Hikari didn’t! She thought that she could stab me in the back, betray me, injure me, just toss me aside like a piece of trash and actually get away with it! She thought that I was just gonna sit in a hospital bed forever and allow the lasting images of my career to be my embarrassment at the hands of someone I THOUGHT was my best friend! She thought that she could ruin everything that we built together without ever having to think about the day I come back, but guess what??? I’M BACK! I’m back in EAW and this time I’m not letting any stupid [BLEEP] get in my way. I trusted Hikari more than anybody else and she paid me back by taking away nearly an entire year of my career. She’s the reason I couldn’t get back in the ring. She’s the reason I couldn’t become Champion again. She took an entire year away from me, and last week she just got a taste of what I’ll be willing to do in return. The EAW roster is gonna learn that I’m not the one you want to try and mess with, and that includes Hikari Kanno, someone I thought knew me more than anybody else! Turns out she’s not anywhere near as smart as I thought, and she’s just like the rest of you.
(The fans in attendance begin booing loudly, but Miku doesn’t seem to care. Instead, she just continues to speak, ignoring the negative reaction of the crowd.)
Miku Sakai: To think, at first I was actually heartbroken! My own best friend stabbed me in the back and injured me. The person I cared about more than anyone else in the world is the one that tried to take my career from me. I couldn’t believe it back then. I couldn’t believe that someone like Hikari was a snake. I didn’t take her betrayal well at all, and at one point there was a chance that I didn’t return after all. I was going through so much even besides the injury that wrestling was the last thing on my mind. I could have just kept focusing on my own health and left wrestling behind after what happened to me.. But Hikari didn’t get that lucky. While I was away I decided that I was going to start doing what’d make me happy, and you know what’d make me happier than anything else right now? Beating the [BLEEP] out of Hikari Kanno, taking the Hardcore Championship away from her, and making her regret ruining the best thing to ever happen to her! Hikari tried to ruin my life, so now I’m returning the favor.
(The fans continue booing, but this suddenly changes as ‘As Long As I Love’ by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure hits. The crowd’s reaction is more mixed now, but it’s far more positive than when Miku Sakai made her entrance. Miku turns to the stage, and before long the Hardcore Champion Hikari Kanno begins walking out, wearing her Championship around her waist. She has a microphone in her hand, and she’s staring directly at Miku Sakai. Hikari doesn’t look very happy, though this doesn’t come as a surprise to the fans, or even Miku Sakai herself who looks proud of what she did last week.)
James Peters: Hikari Kanno is out here now, and you’d have to imagine that she wasn’t going to sit there and let Miku Sakai walk all over her. Miku attacked Hikari last week in her return to EAW, not many people would allow Miku to get away with that!
Rich Russillo: It looks like we’re about to see what Hikari has to say, though with Miku’s current attitude I’m not even sure that she cares. Miku clearly isn’t very remorseful over what she did last week, in fact it sounds like she wants to do a lot more, including taking the Hardcore Championship from her former best friend!
(Hikari Kanno enters the ring, and there is a staredown between the two former Unified Tag Team Champions and IDOL-GUN members. After a little while, Hikari finally begins to speak.)
Hikari Kanno: Honestly, I thought that you of all people would understand the decision I made back at Grand Rampage one year ago. When I injured you, and at the time ended your wrestling career, I did so because I needed the opportunity to succeed and if I were to reach the heights I wanted to, I couldn’t allow myself to be dragged down by what simply wasn’t working anymore. You knew how I felt about you Miku, because I was never anything but honest to you. Yes, you were my best friend. Yes, I loved you, I loved IDOL-GUN, I loved the time that we spent together, but it was time to move on. It was time for me to move forward and seeing the state you were in following our match with Ms. Extreme and Dr. Bethany Blue, there was just no way I could move forward with you at my side. If that makes me a snake, or a traitor, or whatever else you believe I am then so be it. The fact remains that if I wanted to be where I am right now, if I ever wanted to call myself the Hardcore Champion, sacrifices needed to be made. IDOL-GUN was one of those sacrifices.
(Miku Sakai just yawns after hearing Hikari’s explanation, which doesn’t surprise Hikari considering how well they know each other.)
Miku Sakai: Mhm. Right, so you were being serious when you said all that a year ago? I thought it was just some sick joke honestly, because why the hell would I understand you?? Why would I be okay with you ruining my career just to get ahead and find success on your own?? I won the Specialists Championship and made it to the Empress of Elite finals, and I didn’t have to injure you to do that! I didn’t have to stab you in the back and get rid of you for an entire year! When you were injured I kept moving forward, but I did all that while waiting for you to come back! Clearly that was a mistake, though. I would’ve been better off just forgetting about you and pretending IDOL-GUN didn’t exist. It would’ve saved me a year of my career.
Hikari Kanno: It doesn’t have to be like this Miku, and you know that. I explained my actions a long time ago. Whether you like the reason or not, it was the truth. Clearly I was wrong to believe that you’d understand, but I won’t apologize for that. I won’t apologize for doing what was necessary for my own career, because you’re an opportunist in your own right. You’ll do whatever you feel is necessary. You’ll do whatever will make you feel better about yourself, and if I had known how you really felt it wouldn’t have ever surprised me that you decided to attack me last week.
(Miku doesn’t look impressed, but Hikari continues.)
Hikari Kanno: Miku, if you’re here to make me regret my actions one year ago, you’re wasting your time. I can accept that you hate me. I can accept that you won’t forgive me, but I’m not going to have any more of my career taken away from me, nor will I allow you to be the one that takes this Hardcore Championship away from me. I’ll give you the fight you’re clearly looking for Miku. If you want the opportunity to take the Championship from me and make good on your promises then you can have it all at Tempest, as long as you realize that I won’t be the one sided beating you’re clearly hoping for. Tempest won’t be the stage for you to ruin my Hardcore Championship reign and get your revenge for my actions at Grand Rampage 2022. Tempest will be where I reach my second successful Hardcore Championship defense, and unfortunately that accolade will have to come at your expense.
(The crowd cheers hearing Hikari’s challenge, and a grin appears on Miku’s face.)
Miku Sakai: Tempest it is. I hope you’re ready to lose that title, Hikari. It’s about time you got what you deserved.
(Miku is about to start walking out of the ring, but before she could even take a step, Hikari begins to speak once more.)
Hikari Kanno: If this is what you want, so be it. Just know, this is a fight that you asked for.
James Peters: WOAH!!! HIKARI KANNO JUST RAN AT MIKU BEFORE HITTING HER WITH A BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE!!! HIKARI KANNO NOW JUST PUNCHING AWAY AT HER FORMER TAG TEAM PARTNER, AND NOW THAT THEY’VE DECIDED THE ONLY WAY TO SETTLE THIS IS WITH A MATCH AT TEMPEST, HIKARI IS LOOKING TO GET REVENGE FOR MIKU’S ATTACK LAST WEEK!
Rich Russillo: MIKU SAKAI PUSHES HIKARI OFF OF HER BEFORE TAKING THE HARDCORE CHAMPION DOWN WITH A DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN, AND NOW BOTH WOMEN ARE STRUGGLING FOR CONTROL AS THEY HIT EACH OTHER WITH PUNCHES AND ELBOWS!
Persephone: Hikari just pushed Miku off of her and Miku was just sent rolling out of the ring! Miku just grabbed Hikari’s leg and pulled her out as well though!
James Peters: Hikari manages to capitalize though, GRABBING MIKU AND RAMMING HER BACK FIRST INTO THE BARRICADE!!! HIKARI GRABBING HER FORMER BEST FRIEND, AND SHE LOOKS TOWARDS THE STEEL STEPS-
Rich Russillo: BUT MIKU TURNS AND SENDS HIKARI CRASHING STOMACH FIRST INTO THE STEPS!!! Miku Sakai runs in, BUT HIKARI LANDS A BACK ELBOW WHICH FORCES HER TO STUMBLE BACK TO A KNEE!!! Hikari Kanno taking a bit of time to catch her breath after hitting those steps, and now she turns around-
James Peters: WAIT A SECOND!!!! MIKU JUST TOOK HER KNEE BRACE AND HIT HIKARI KANNO WITH IT!!!! HIKARI NEEDED TIME TO RECOVER AFTER GETTING THROWN INTO THE STEPS, AND THAT GAVE MIKU TIME TO GET THE KNEE BRACE!!! MIKU NOW GRABBING THE HARDCORE CHAMPION, BEFORE DROPPING HER ONTO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR WITH STARFALL!!!!
Rich Russillo: What a sight this is! Miku Sakai lays out Hikari Kanno with some help from that knee brace, something she only ever needed because of Hikari’s actions last year at Grand Rampage! Is Miku going to be the one to end Hikari’s Hardcore Championship reign!?
(‘Brooklyn The Hole’ begins playing once more as Miku Sakai stands over Hikari Kanno. Miku picks up the Hardcore Championship, raising it as she stands over her former tag team partner. From there, Voltage fades away from ringside.)
(Voltage faded to show the backstage area while the camera headed to the locker rooms. Just like last time, it was an odd and weird feeling as it slowly panned into the Ice Aces locker room, obviously due to what happened last week, the mood was considerably down. Usagi Senshi was inside, alone at the moment, simply preparing herself for her match against Harper Lee later on in the night. She still remembered and looked back at what happened last week, at how Ayu continued to blame herself for all of the setbacks and problems that they suffered, it was a different kind of thing to experience, the worst kind to be exact. Having to hear your loved one put themselves down and you weren’t able to do anything at all to help them. It sucked, but she couldn’t focus on that, not tonight, she had a very important match to look forward to.)
(Usagi was simply stretching and making sure everything was correct before she ended up hearing the door opening from behind her, it was probably ARIA who forgot something or… Ayu. And just as she turned, the person who entered was made pretty obvious, Ayu. The two simply gave a glance at each other, their eyes meeting for just a few seconds and they looked away toward the floor, of course, why would they even talk again after what happened? Ayu without saying anything at all simply walked over, trying to not distract Usagi from preparing, and grabbed something from her bag. The awkwardness of the silence simply grew more and more with Ayu taking a moment to grab what she needed. Finally, she was able to pull out her Nintendo Switch, turning around and walking toward the door again.)
(Usagi couldn’t let Ayu go like that again, not like that. She immediately turned over and she suddenly raised her voice.)
Usagi Senshi: Ayu-chan, please!
(Ayu immediately stopped in her tracks just before grabbing the handle of the door, she still had her back turned to Usagi but she was listening as Usagi simply tried to gather her thoughts for a moment before she slowly spoke up.)
Usagi Senshi: I couldn’t change your mind before and by this point I don’t think I will again, maybe I need to give you some time to think it over, I don’t know. But the fact that you want to do this, that you don’t want us to be together as a team… is it because of another reason?
(Usagi asked as genuinely as she could, Ayu was confused for a moment before she quickly understood what Usagi meant by that, and she turned over with a worried look on her face.)
Ayu Megumi: H-huh?! No, no, that isn’t what I mean at all Usagi-chan! I just… it is only because of me, but I do not want to stop because of you. All of those years ago when we met through wrestling, and our relationship grew to the point where one day we both agreed we wanted to be in love forever? I am never going to forget that day in my life, I promised I would cherish it for as long as I lived and now that we have reached here? That kind of feeling that we both felt that day? It has never left, I assure you.
(Usagi was thinking and feeling a lot of things, and she was worried that Ayu stopped loving her, but hearing those words calmed her down considerably. She took a deep breath and she did her best to let out a genuine smile as she looked directly at Ayu.)
Usagi Senshi: I love you Ayumu.
(Ayu tried her best to muster up enough strength to move her head, or even smile, but she slowly turned her head up and locked eyes with Usagi, as she slowly let out a weak smile that had something hidden behind it.)
Ayu Megumi: I love you too, Usagi…
(And Usagi could see easily that something else was wrong, she knew Ayu long enough to notice that there was another thing bothering her. The smile that she had slowly disappeared for a moment with Usagi only being able to let out a small sigh.)
Usagi Senshi: I can see it from your expression Ayumu, there is something else bothering you, isn’t it?
(Ayu’s smile slowly disappeared as well when Usagi asked her that, yeah, she knew she couldn’t hide much from Usagi. The two finally walked over and sat down once again, and Usagi looked focused on wanting to hear Ayu out and figure out what else is wrong, Ayu taking some time to think on it before responding.)
Ayu Megumi: I know what I said last week, I know how much it affected both of us with what happened. After everything that we have gone through, all of the setbacks, all of the failures that we suffered, having to continue to try again and again, having to fight for something that maybe didn’t have any meaning at all, that kind of thing just stressed me out. It made me feel like we weren’t going anywhere, that there was something wrong, and at that point… I thought I was the thing that was wrong, so that is why I wanted to simply walk away, have some time to think about it, to figure out if what I said before was right or it wasn’t. I just didn’t want to be the reason you weren’t able to succeed here, you weren’t able to finally have any success, maybe it was better I didn’t team up with you, I just simply wanted you to pursue your own goals. But just after that conversation that we had, I ended up finding out that before we had it… you already had an opportunity to do that with the number one contendership match that you have tonight.
(It took Usagi a few seconds to process what Ayu just told her and she simply felt like letting out a bigger sigh than before and just look down at the floor again, why were things not able to be solved so simply? Why did they have to get more complicated? Usagi’s expression turned into one of worry but also had a tint of sadness and annoyance to it.)
Usagi Senshi: Ayu-chan…
Ayu Megumi: Yes, yes, I know…Okay, Usagi-chan, but I shouldn’t have had to find out about your opportunity in a segment. And Bethany shouldn’t have been the only reason I knew about the match in the first place, that I had to know that you already had that opportunity from another person that wasn’t you. I don’t know, it just felt weird that you didn’t tell me about that-
(Usagi quickly grabbed her hands before Ayu said anything else and she just simply stared at her eyes one more time, hoping that having one moment of silence would be able to calm things down and make Ayu focus for a moment. Ayu sat there staring back at Usagi once again and after a few seconds, she was finally able to stop talking and listen in for a moment before Usagi said it straight.)
Usagi Senshi: I was going to tell you about it before you ended up leaving Ayu-chan. I never even had a chance to say anything in the first place. Last week you walked out on me and because of that I never got the chance to bring up that match.
Ayu Megumi: …oh.
Usagi Senshi: And besides, after the talk that we had I knew it wasn’t the time and place to let you know, and I just focused on wanting to make sure you were okay, that is all.
(Ayu now felt like a dummy overthinking something like that, it was a simple misunderstanding that she ended up blowing out of the water because she wasn’t in the best headspace, that was all… right?)
Ayu Megumi: Are you sure about that, Usagi?
Usagi Senshi: I am absolutely and positively sure about it, there is no reason for me to lie about it and I have no desire or need to. It is just as you said before, we ended up falling in love because we knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives simply being together, and I feel incredibly happy being alive with you.
(Usagi leaned over and she gave Ayu a hug that had all of the care in the world for her, it took a bit for Ayu to process it but she slowly extended her arms and she gave Usagi a hug back. The two pulled back and Usagi gave Ayu a little kiss on the cheek to cheer her up a bit.)
Usagi Senshi: I am going to continue practicing for my match later, alright?
Ayu Megumi: Alright, I know you can do it, I believe in you.
(Usagi gave a reassuring nod to Ayu and got up, she quickly walked over and continued stretching in the corner as Ayu got up as well and left the locker room. When she closed the door behind her, a tint of worry appeared back on her face and she still felt uneasy about something. Ayu simply looked down at the floor again thinking it over and just continued walking down the hallway as Sunday Night Voltage faded away from backstage and into a commercial break.)
(A commercial is shown for next week’s episode of Saturday Night Showdown, headlined by Kassidy Heart facing off against Xander Payne.)
(Voltage returns to ringside.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
( ‘Show Me Your God’ by The Amity Affliction starts playing as Theron Nikolas makes his entrance alone to extremely loud cheers from the Canadian crowd. Theron looks calm and collected, showing little emotion and a determined focus on picking up a win tonight. With all that’s happened he’s made his thoughts on this match clear, planning to use this match to send a message. )
Bella Braxton: INTRODUCING FIRST, FROM EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA!… WEIGHING 224 POUNDS!… ‘GHOST’… THERONNNNNNNNNNN!!!…. NIKOLASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
James Peters: Theron has a huge match coming up in the days to come against Methuselah, following a misunderstanding that led to his match against Yhwach O’Hara. Tonight, he is focused on making an example out of Halsey Neel first.
Rich Russillo: You know,I can’t help but feel bad for Theron, having to deal with two cryptic and scary individuals he doesn’t deserve. Although he doesn’t seem scared of them, it’s hard to understand what he did to deserve this.
( Theron takes off his leather jacket and waits in the corner as ‘Seek and Destroy’ by Metallica replaces his theme music. Halsey Neel enters the arena to a chorus of boos, showing no regard for the crowd’s reaction as usual. She keeps her eyes fixed on Theron, who is waiting for her in the ring. Halsey continues to walk down the ramp, her gaze still fixed on Theron, while Theron looks down at the ground, deep in thought. )
AND HIS OPPONENT!… FROM BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND!…. WEIGHING IN AT 140 POUNDS!… ‘THE RIPPER’!… HALSEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!….. NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLL!!!!
James Peters: Halsey’s career in EAW has been up and down ever since she joined the company. Tonight is her big opportunity to prove herself once again against none other than Theron Nikolas. If Halsey can pull off the win, it will be a huge moment for her and could shake things up in Voltage.
Rich Russillo: While Halsey’s career in EAW has had its ups and downs, it’s hard to deny her talent. Despite not having the best luck when it comes to winning matches, Halsey is still a skilled wrestler who excels in many areas! It’s possible that she could pick up a win tonight – anything can happen in the ring!
( DING DING DING! )
James Peters: Theron Nikolas is taking on Halsey Neel, and the match is underway, ladies and gentlemen. Theron and Halsey step forward to meet each other in the middle of the ring, and both competitors join in with a basic collar and elbow tie-up. Halsey goes behind, looking for a wrist lock on Theron. Theron swiftly scoops Halsey with a headlock takedown from the front, attempting to gain control, but Halsey counters with a Scissors lock on Theron, not giving him any chance to escape.
Rich Russillo: Theron bounces himself off as Halsey is forced to release Theron from underneath her legs. Both competitors rise back to their feet, ready to continue their fight. Theron quickly trips Halsey by her legs, aiming to get the upper hand. He goes for a cover on Halsey, but she kicks out just in time.
James Peters Theron doesn’t let this discourage him, and he pops back to his feet, ready to keep going. Halsey takes Theron down this time, hoping to gain an advantage. She goes for a cover, but Theron manages to kick out quickly, showing that he’s just as determined as she is.
Rich Russillo: These two are clearly evenly matched, and it’s unclear who will come out on top. It seems that they’re both giving it their all, using all the tricks in their book to try to win. Halsey runs in, but Theron is ready for her and catches her, looking for a Spinning Uranage!
James Peters: Halsey manages to land safely on her feet and quickly takes control, pushing Theron towards the ropes. Theron bounces off the ropes, and Halsey takes advantage of the situation, going for a lariat!
Rich Russillo: Theron quickly ducks underneath Halsey’s attempted lariat and lifts her high up on his shoulders, clearly looking to bring her down to the ground with an Ushigoroshi!
James Peters: Halsey slips down from his shoulders and manages to get behind him. Theron doesn’t waste any time, quickly pushing Halsey towards the ropes. Theron bounces off the ropes, but Halsey is ready for him this time, hitting him with a Knee Strike across his face!
Rich Russillo: Theron stumbles back, clearly disoriented from the powerful Knee Strike that Halsey delivered. He backs up into the corner and holds his chin in pain, looking up to Halsey. Halsey, taking advantage of Theron’s vulnerable state, runs towards him, looking to deliver a Spear while he’s still in the corner!
Persephone: Yessssssssssss!
James Peters: Theron, sensing the danger, quickly moves down through the ropes and onto the apron, letting Halsey crash herself into the corner! Halsey runs full force towards Theron, but he manages to evade her attack, causing her to drive her head into the middle turnbuckle.
Rich Russillo: Halsey stumbles back away from the turnbuckles, looking dazed and confused. Theron sees this as an opportunity and quickly takes action, going up to the top rope…. A DIVING METEORA ON HALSEY!
James Peters: Halsey manages to roll underneath the ropes and down to the corner, narrowly avoiding Theron’s high-risk move. Theron lands on the mat and quickly rolls back to his feet, just in time to see Halsey retreating to the corner. Theron quickly shifts his focus back to Halsey, determined to keep up the pressure. He runs towards her…
Persephone: HALSEY CATCHES THERON AND DRIVES HIM INTO THE CORNER WITH A SUDDEN NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX!
Rich Russillo: Theron is now in trouble, and Halsey has the upper hand against him. Theron holds the back of his neck and his spine, clearly in pain and trying to regain his footing. Halsey sees an opening and runs toward him from behind… DRIVING HIM TO THE MAT WITH A DEVASTATING GERMAN SUPLEX!
James Peters: Halsey isn’t going for a pin yet, and Theron is still down on the ground, trying to find a way to recover from the brutal German Suplex. Before Theron can regain his bearings, Halsey takes him down by both legs, using her hands to lock him up with a Heel Hook!
Rich Russillo: Theron quickly pulls Halsey in, using her head to try and transition into a chin lock. Halsey manages to push herself off the mat and move towards the ropes in front of her, getting back to both feet. Theron slowly gets back to his feet, holding his chin and spine in obvious pain. Halsey seizes the opportunity and attempts to throw a Single Leg Dropkick into Theron’s face!
Persephone: Theron takes Halsey down by the leg that was coming towards his face. He quickly pulls her up into a seated position… KNOCKS HER RIGHT BACK DOWN TO THE GROUND WITH A SWINGING ENZIGURI!
James Peters: Theron crawls away from Halsey, taking a moment to catch his breath and collect himself. He moves towards the ropes behind him and starts using the middle rope to pull himself up to his feet. Halsey holds her face and struggles to get back up to her feet. Theron senses an opportunity and starts walking towards her.
Rich Russillo: Theron grabs her and pulls her up to her feet, driving a right knee into her gut. Halsey doubles over in pain as Theron looks to follow up with another devastating move…. SPINNING URANAGE SIDESLAM TAKES HER DOWN!
James Peters: Halsey sees an opening and delivers a right elbow to the side of Theron’s head, causing him to release her and stumble back. Halsey quickly leans against the ropes, trying to regain her composure and capitalize on the situation!
Persephone: Theron shakes his head, trying to clear the cobwebs, but Halsey isn’t giving him a moment to rest. She charges towards him, looking to take him down with a Bicycle Pump Kick!
Rich Russillo: Theron catches her leg, and spins her around AS HALSEY COMES BACK WITH A STEP-UP ENZUIGIRI KICK TO THERON’S FACE! Theron falls back down to the ropes. He bounces off the ropes behind him… HALSEY CATCHES HIM, LIFTING HIM UP HIGH AND A URANAGE BACKBREAKER SNAPPING THERON IN HALF!
James Peters: Theron lies on the mat, wincing in pain as Halsey grabs hold of his left leg and twists it into a Single Leg Boston Crab! Theron grits his teeth and tries to crawl towards the ropes to break the hold, but Halsey is not giving up easily. She leans back and applies more pressure on Theron’s leg!
Persephone: Theron’s face contorts in pain as he inches closer and closer to the ropes. Theron grits his teeth and tries to crawl his way towards the ropes, inch by inch. The agony in his left leg is almost unbearable, but he refuses to give up. Halsey continues to apply the pressure, determined to make him submit!
Rich Russillo: THERON REACHES OUT AND FINALLY MANAGES TO GRAB ONTO THE BOTTOM ROPE, CAUSING THE REFEREE TO INTERVENE AND ORDER HALSEY TO LET HIM OFF GO!
James Peters: Halsey releases Theron from her grasp and pulls him back towards the center of the ring. She’s relentless on his legs, fully aware that they’re his greatest weapons. Halsey seizes Theron’s right leg and locks him up in a vicious Heel Hook. Theron is trapped, and there’s no escape from Halsey’s grip!
Rich Russillo: Halsey continues to crank up the pressure on Theron’s leg, putting him in excruciating pain. Theron is caught between a rock and a hard place, and Halsey has him right where she wants him!
Persephone: Theron attempts to fight back by hammering Halsey’s legs with his right hand, but his efforts are futile. Halsey’s grip is too strong, and Theron can’t seem to break free. Theron tries to crawl towards the ropes, but it’s a Herculean task!
James Peters: Halsey has him locked up tight, and every movement is agony for Theron. Theron refuses to give up. He begins to rise to his feet, even as Halsey continues to torture his right leg…. THERON SHIFTS HIS STRATEGY, ABANDONING HIS ATTEMPTS TO ESCAPE AND INSTEAD OPTING TO FIGHT BACK. HE USES HIS RIGHT HAND TO LAUNCH A FLURRY OF STRAIGHT PUNCHES STRAIGHT AT HALSEY’S FACE, HOPING TO CATCH HER OFF GUARD!
Rich Russillo: Halsey is forced to release Theron’s legs, and she tries to get back to her feet. Theron rushes in, throwing a flurry of punches at her everywhere! Halsey is caught off guard, and she’s unable to defend herself against Theron’s assault. She’s completely defenseless, and each blow lands with sickening force!
James Peters: Theron capitalizes on his advantage, taking control of the match. He grabs Halsey and pulls her in close, then hoists her high into the air……. DOUBLE KNEE LUNGBLOWER TAKING HER OUT! Theron pushes her off his knees, a hook to her leg for a cover!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Persephone: Halsey gets her shoulder off the mat before the count of three!
Rich Russillo: Theron doesn’t waste any time in pressing his advantage. He pulls Halsey back down to her knees, then uses his own strength to propel himself off the mat! Theron launches a right kick straight at Halsey’s chest! Theron doesn’t let up for a moment, and he quickly follows up the kick with a right elbow strike to the side of Halsey’s head!
James Peters: Theron steps back, creating some space between himself and Halsey, before rushing back in and hitting her with another kick in the same spot as before. Halsey is clearly hurt, and she’s struggling to stay on her feet.
Rich Russillo Theron takes advantage of Halsey’s weakened state, grabbing her by the arm and helping her back up to her feet. Halsey refuses to back down, and she glares defiantly at Theron….
Persephone: Theron has something else in mind. He quickly moves behind Halsey, positioning her in a suplex hold….. TWISTING BRAINBUSTER DRIVING HALSEY TO THE GROUND!
Rich Russillo: Halsey crashes down to the mat after the brainbuster, and Theron doesn’t seem content to leave it at that. He has something else up his sleeve. Theron moves towards the corner of the ring, looking determined and focused.
James Peters: He waits patiently for Halsey to start to get back to her feet, biding his time as he prepares for his next move. Theron readies himself, his eyes fixed intently on Halsey. Halsey starts rising to both feet…. ‘HEAD HUNTER’ !!!!!!! BUSAIKU KNEE STRIKE BY THERON NIKOLAS!

Rich Russillo: THERON KICKS OUT AT 2.9! HE MANAGES TO GET HIS SHOULDER OFF THE MAT JUST IN TIME!
James Peters: Theron is off-balanced! Halsey takes the opportunity to unleash a flurry of mounted elbow strikes to his face! She strikes him again and again, each blow connecting with precision and power!
Rich Russillo: Theron tries to block the blows, but Halsey is too quick and too determined. She continues her assault, driving Theron backward and weakening him with every blow!
Persephone: Halsey wastes no time in taking control of the match. She quickly picks Theron up to his feet and hoists him up onto her shoulders…. LOOKING FOR ‘BLOOD ON THE LEA-

James Peters: Theron refuses to stay down for long. He quickly rolls out of the way of her follow-up attack and comes up to the side of her body! Theron reaches out and grabs Halsey with his right arm, using her momentum against her and driving her down with a quick Reverse STO as Halsey crashes to the mat face-first….
Rich Russillo: THERON GOING BEHIND, PROCEEDING WITH LIFTING HER UP HIGH, AND A DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX SPIKING THE BACK OF HALSEY’S NECK TO THE GROUND!
James Peters: Halsey appears to be in a tight spot, down on the mat and struggling to get back up. Theron remains steadfast in his approach, refusing to take the easy way out! It’s clear that he knows the previous moves weren’t enough to take Halsey down, and he’s ready to up the ante with even more aggressive attacks.
Rich Russillo: Theron seems to have a few tricks up his sleeve and is not afraid to use them, as he relentlessly advances toward Halsey. Theron stalks back towards Halsey with a look of grim determination on his face, seeming to draw strength from his opponent’s weariness. Theron doesn’t give her a moment’s rest, pressing forward with renewed intensity. Theron picks her back to both knees and grabs both wrists…. ‘DIVINE SUNDERER ‘!!!!!!! KAMIGOYE KNEE STRIKE TO HALSEY!
Persephone: OHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! HALSEY PULLS HER BACK TO BOTH FEET INSTEAD AND KNOCKS THERON OUT COLD WITH A STIFF HEADBUTT! HALSEY GRABS HIS WRIST INSTEAD!…. A ROUNDHOUSE KICK CUTTING THERON’S HEAD OFF! DOWN GOES THERON ONCE AGAIN!
James Peters: Guys, It seems that the tide has turned in Halsey’s favor! Halsey seizes the opportunity to take control of the match, leaving Theron in a vulnerable position. Halsey’s eyes light up with determination as she revels in the prospect of victory. It’s clear that she’s not going to let this opportunity slip away!
Rich Russillo: Halsey channels her inner warrior spirit and begins to lift Theron back up to his feet…. LOOKING TO END THERON WITH ‘THE FALL’ !!!!!!!!! ADJUSTMENT PILEDRIVER SENDS THERON OUT!!!!!!!!
James Peters: Look! Theron manages to slip out of her grasp and quickly moves behind her! It’s a sudden and unexpected turn of events, and Halsey is momentarily caught off guard!… ‘TOUCH OF HEROINE’ FINALLY CONNECTS! HALSEY IS DOWN!
Persephone: It seems like Theron may have the match in the bag! Halsey, now in a vulnerable position, struggles to regain her footing as Theron stands over her, looking confident and in control! It’s clear that Theron has Halsey right where he wants her. Theron quickly moves to pick Halsey back up to her feet….
James Peters: ‘CARPE DIEM’ !!!!!!!!!! A RICORD SPINNING BACK ELBOW TO THE TEMPLE TO HALSEY! SHE’S OUT! THERON DROPS DOWN INTO A COVER ON HALSEY!

( DING DING DING! )
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner!…. THERON NIKOLAS!
( ‘Show Me Your God’ by The Amity Affliction plays as Theron Nikolas slowly pulls himself off of Halsey and rises to his feet, raising his hands in victory. He shows no reaction to the lifeless body of Halsey, instead leaning against the ropes and gazing up at the sky, lost in thought. It’s clear that he’s already focused on his next opponent, Methuselah, and is determined to destroy him.)
James Peters: What a match I just witnessed! It had twists and turns, everything you’d expect from a great wrestling match like the ones we see in EAW! Halsey put up a hell of a fight tonight, but Theron still managed to gain the upper hand and beat her!
Rich Russillo: These two proved to have great in-ring chemistry, and we may see them fight each other again in the future. For now, Theron’s focus shifts back to Methuselah, and we can’t wait to see them go at each other soon at Tempest!
Persephone: Yes! Can’t wait!
(Halsey slowly pulls herself back up as Theron makes his way up the ramp.)
James Peters: Halsey didn’t leave Voltage with the victory, but she definitely had a great performance that she- OH WAIT!? WHAT THE HELL!?
Rich Russillo: DEATH BLOW!!!! RONAN MALOSI JUST SLID IN THE RING AND DROPPED HALSEY WITH THE DEATH BLOW, WHICH IS A NORTHERN LARIAT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!!!! RONAN MALOSI JUST TOOK OUT HALSEY NEEL, AND HE’S NOT DONE!!!
James Peters: HE JUST PULLED HALSEY NEEL INTO HIS ARM, BEFORE DROPPING HER FACE FIRST ONTO THE MAT WITH DEATH-RO!!!! HALSEY NEEL IS OUT, AND LOOK AT THE STAGE!!!!
(Candice Blair and Sierra Everett are seen running out, charging down the ramp in an attempt to help their newly found ally Halsey Neel. However, Ronan Malosi would notice them and roll out of the ring before they even reach ringside, hopping over the barricade.)
James Peters: Earlier in the night the former Team Eden members turned their back on Ronan Malosi. It looks like Ronan just got some payback!
Rich Russillo: There’s three people who won’t be too happy about that, and all three of them are right there at ringside! Candice and Sierra slid into the ring to check on Halsey, and it looks like Ronan is going to get the last laugh tonight!
(Candice and Sierra stare at Ronan, not happy with what just happened. Ronan on the other hand has a huge grin on his face, and he talks trash while slowly backpedaling away through the crowd. As the former allies stare at each other, Voltage fades away from ringside.)
(The camera opens backstage into Voltage Commissioner Captain Charisma’s office who is seen talking on his phone, before being interrupted by a loud knock on the door before it opens. That spooked Captain Charisma a little bit as he turned around and looked in that direction.)
Captain Charisma: I’ll have to call you back.
(Captain Charisma hangs up as Mercer McKay slowly steps into the frame to a negative reaction from the crowd. Mercer towers over the commissioner a bit as Captain Charisma looks up at him and begins to speak.)
Captain Charisma: Just the man I wanted to see. Look Mercer, I understand how talented you are and just what you bring to the table, but I needed to have a little chat with you on your…way you do things as of late. You seem to do things in a vicious and violent manner and I am here to tell you that it needs to stop, or just be toned down a little bit because I don’t need Disney on my back even more after the stuff you have been pulling lately. Eden Sinclair is finally gone, so there will be no more micromanaging of Voltage, and I don’t want Disney to have any reason to visit this brand or appoint a successor to Eden. We all know I’m the person who should understand about violence in the workplace considering the many things I’ve seen throughout my career and the stuff I’ve seen on Voltage throughout my time in charge of the brand…but you need to calm it down a little bit Mercer because even though I don’t like it as much as you do, the times have changed. Your actions as of late like attacking people after the bell have been too much and unnecessary, and most recently what you did at King Of Elite when you pretty much ended Trish Edwardson’s career when you launched her high off the scaffold to the outside floor breaking many bones, and for what reason? You could have easily just tossed her down or done something less severe, but because of what you did, I am the one who got a lot of heat for it from the higher ups at Disney, it was unacceptable and just flat out unnecessary. What you have been pulling has been dangerous and we just can’t have that here anymore.
(Mercer gives a tiny chuckle before shaking his head almost as if he’s not taking these words from the commissioner seriously.)
Mercer McKay: Are you kidding me right now? You are seriously wasting my time by scolding me for doing something in order to win a match and it ended up costing Trish her career in the process? Give me a break. This is coming from the same guy who reinstated the Hardcore Championship rules even though you have Disney breathing down your neck. This is wrestling, not ballet and if Disney has a problem with it, they made the wrong investment. This is nothing more than a waste of my time and I’m going to continue to do whatever I want. I am not the guy you can just tell to stop or try to change. Whoever gets in my way gets wrecked, it’s that simple.
Captain Charisma: So you don’t have any sympathy at all for what you did to Trish?
Mercer McKay: Save the morality lessons. Trish was nothing more than a girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and most importantly, with the wrong guy, nothing more and nothing less. I was trying to win a match so no I don’t feel bad about anything and I would do it again if I had the chance. She got in my way and it ended up costing the girl her career, it is what it is and I don’t wanna keep looking back at King Of Elite because it ended with me coming up short in the end which is all that I feel any regret about. I don’t care if I’m “too dangerous” or “too violent” because if someone willingly steps in the ring with me, they signed up for it and know the risks they are taking. This is professional wrestling and I want to be the very best I can be, and toning things down will only slow me down. I told you once and I’m going to tell you one more time, which is I’m going to continue to do what I want and nothing will stand in my way of that.
Captain Charisma: Listen, I understand your motivations, but you need to know that things don’t work like that here anymore. What you did to Trish back at King Of Elite to Trish ended up on my hands and everything happening with Disney, I can’t afford to push things even further than I already have and we need to tone things down a little bit Mercer. You are such a talented wrestler and a force to be reckoned with and I want you on my roster. I see you as a huge asset to our brand’s future, but there needs to be a line drawn at some point as I can’t keep taking the heat for your actions anymore. Please listen to me when I ask you to just please be more careful going forward because if you don’t, there will be some serious consequences, and I don’t want that to happen. I don’t like asking this of you or forcing this upon you, but it’s just something I have to do and I need you to think before you do anything that you’re going to regret in the near future.
(The crowd boos at those words, and Mercer isn’t too pleased with this as he looks as if this is personal to him and he’s about to snap. After a moment of pacing, he knocks the lamp off Captain Charisma’s desk before looking him in the eye.)
Captain Charisma: Think before you do something that you are going to regret, Mercer.
Mercer McKay: Nobody will ever control me, ever.
(Mercer gets out of the face of the Voltage Commissioner and storms out of the office. Captain Charisma takes a deep breath of relief as that intensified quickly and goes to pick the lamp up that Mercer knocked down. The camera quickly switches to Mercer outside of the office who isn’t pleased with what he was just told by the commissioner before switching to around the corner where the Specialists Champion ARIA is seen with her Ice Aces sister Ayu Megumi who is still very down on herself. ARIA is just trying her best to cheer her up and be a good friend.)
ARIA: Come on now you can’t keep beating yourself up for how King Of Elite went down. Everybody knows that you guys will eventually become Tag Champions. I had to overcome so much to win the Specialists Championship but I wouldn’t change any of it because it made me a better competitor and made the moment all the more satisfying for me. It’s just a rough patch and I promise you that it’s nobody’s fault and you guys will stand tall as champs eventually.
Ayu Megumi: No, it’s all my fault. You’re just feeding me more lies to try and make me feel better and blind myself from the reality that I’m the anchor holding this team down. Usagi deserves so much better than me as a tag team partner. I’ve let her down and I’ve let you down.
ARIA: Please stop talking like that! You could never let me down and you know that is the exact case with Usagi. We all stand together no matter how many obstacles trip us up, it’s what we do and it won’t start now. I’m begging you to please stop talking like this because you’re not to blame.
Ayu Megumi: It’s the truth, I’m the reason that we haven’t captured the tag team gold yet and I’m the one who has dragged our team down. What else am I supposed to say?
ARIA: Well for starters –
(Mercer McKay pops back in the scene as he turns the corner still angry from his meeting with Captain Charisma just moments ago and accidentally knocks into ARIA, knocking her down face first into the concrete. Mercer looks down at her and just shrugs it off and continues walking before being stopped in his tracks as Ayu gets up and isn’t happy about what she just saw.)
Ayu Megumi: Hey, are you not going to apologize for what you just did? That was completely rude just knocking her down and not at least saying sorry.
(Mercer grabs Ayu by the throat and slams her back first against the wall. Ayu was just trying to stand up for her friend and she sees in the moment that might not have been the best decision on the mood that Mercer is in right now.)
Mercer McKay: Nobody controls me or tells me what I can and can’t do.
(Mercer looks as if he’s about to do something very bad to Ayu. But then he stops, remembering the warning that Captain Charisma gave him a moment ago in his office about toning down his violent actions or otherwise there would be serious consequences. His face turns from angry to annoyed as he tosses Ayu down to the floor letting go of her throat. He angrily walks out if the scene as Ayu and ARIA check on one another before the camera fades elsewhere.)
(The camera fades to another backstage hallway where a number of suit-wearing business officials are shown walking with scantily clad women backstage. A number of EAW wrestlers are shown looking on in confusion or disgust as they pass. One Disney official is shown frantically grabbing their cell phone and making a call to the proper authorities to report what they have seen.)
Thong Wearing Woman: Ooooh look! That door says “Women’s Locker Room” I guess this is the place for us to set up shop! Let’s head on in girls!
(The women remove their feather boas as they begin to enter the door but are stopped by the officials.)
Businessman: Oh no it is probably for the best you don’t head on in there. We are here for a simple meeting and don’t need to cause more of a stir than we already are. I am told that the Disney suits can be a little sensitive so we don’t want to ruffle any feathers.
Woman Spinning Boobie Tassels: I always wanted to be a professional wrestler. Do you think they would hire me? I mean I don’t really want to do the wrestling stuff that much but maybe they could hire me for something like a reality TV show or something. Gurrl you know I’m all about that drama!
Businesswoman: There will be no drama. Am I making myself clear? Do I have to remind you what happens if you act out again?
(The stern looking woman raises a hand as the smiling women begin to frown and slowly back away from the women’s locker room.)
Sofia Clarke: Ummm excuse me? I hope I am not interrupting… but I just have to ask what is going on back here?
Businessman: We are here for a business meeting. Could you direct us to the office area?
Sofia Clarke: Umm I believe that Captain Charisma’s office is that way. But who are you people and what are you even doing here backstage on Voltage?
Businesswomen: We are investors. We are simply here to do business. We traveled all the way here from Nevada to Canada after being told of a very lucrative investment opportunity. But this wrestling show is not quite what we expected. I hope that we have not been misled.
Sofia Clarke: Investment? What sort of investment?
TLA: Orale! ¡Qué onda mis amigos inversores! I hope that the flight on up to Canada was real tranquilo for all y’all! I been lookin’ forward to this all week long if ya feel me!
(Suddenly TLA enters the scene accompanied by Steroid Dawg and a number of Poons as suddenly Sofia Clarke finds herself in between the two groups in the backstage hallway having packed the entire area up so nobody is even able to get by.)
Sofia Clarke: TLA? What is going on? What is this?
TLA: It ain’t no thang mami Sofia. This is just business. You ain’t even gotta involve yo self in none of that. We just be doing some big dinero type things out here you know how it be.
Investor: TLA I presume? I am glad to meet you. We are here on behalf of the Moonlite BunnyRanch to talk business. We hear that you are looking to expand?
TLA: You know how it be. La Pantera Sexual ain’t never stop. Always expanding 24/7 you know I ain’t stop that grind ain’t stop that hustle. I got a lot of people that rely on me and that includes the Poon Palace and you know I ain’t going to neglect them mamis none. These mamis some real fine mamis and you know that they deserve only the best. So we be looking to get all kinds of investment in looking to expand and turn the Poon Palace into the next Moonlite BunnyRanch for real for real!
(Sofia Clarke facepalms having realized what she has just gotten in the middle of and now regretting it realizing this doesn’t have anything at all to do with her job as a professional wrestling interviewer. However, due to the sheer number of individuals crowding the hallway she is forced to continue to stand there and conduct the impromptu interview.)
Sofia Clarke: Uhhh so–
TLA: Yo we gotta get right down to it. You know that if we going to seriously consider this investment things we gotta make sure we doing it right you know what I mean?
Investor: Of course TLA. We are a serious business that has operated since 1955. A legal establishment based out of Nevada. Our great founder Dennis Hof may he rest in peace unfortunately passed away before he could take his seat in politics and really expand our influence. However, with an asset like the Poon Palace, TLA, EAW, and Disney we can expand our reach worldwide. It seems like a very worthwhile investment to us.
TLA: Of course of course. As the owner of all three of those companies I can assure you that you are making a smart choice. But you know we gotta make sure these chicas be treated right. I ain’t know how y’all be doing your business but at the Poon Palace we treat everyone with all kinds of respect.
Investor: Of course. I am not sure what you mean by respect? We have developed very strict methods of discipline at our establishment when it comes to our assets. Entirely legal of course.
TLA: Of course. Of course.
Investor: So can we assume that you have been operating on a similar level of legality at the Poon Palace as well?
TLA: You can assume that yes.
Investor: Good good. I think we will have much to discuss. Now did you know that our founder called himself the “Trump from Pahrump”? Pretty clever don’t you think? Oh he would have done great things in office.
TLA: Oh for real? Nah-
Investor: Is there a problem?
TLA: Oh my bad of course not. That’s really super clever! Estos gringos estúpidos me van a dar mucho dinero. Voy a jugar esto muy tranquilo.
Investor: I’m sorry I didn’t catch that. Unfortunately we couldn’t bring any of the Spanish speaking ladies after the immigration and sex trafficking crackdown a few years ago. Really shameful they would do something like that to our proud business don’t you agree?
Sofia Clarke: I’m sorry the what crackdown now?
Investor: Wait are you filming this? That was a joke of course…
Sofia Clarke: No of course not. Just having a friendly conversation.
(Sofia Clarke gestures stealthily to the cameraman who cuts the feed as the conversation between TLA and the investors continues backstage unheard by the broadcast audience.)
(On that note, Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(A commercial is shown for Tempest featuring the EAW World Champion Myles.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades back into the arena with the crowd being met by the sounds of “Spaceship II” by Alex Wiley and Chance The Rapper blasting through the speakers, immediately raining down boos on the woman that was coming out. Sierra Everett made her way to the stage with confidence in her step, simply taking in the boos like it gave her energy. She laughed at people’s faces while a mischievous grin kept on her face, very much in a good mood considering she looked like she was ready to go out and party. Not to mention earlier in the night, the former Team Eden got rid of what they considered to be their biggest hindrance in Ronan Malosi. But seeing the microphone in her hand, it was clear she had something to say, no matter how much Canada didn’t want to hear her speak.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… SIERRA EVERETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: I know we’re in a country that is very cold, but the reception for Sierra Everett is nothing less than incredibly hot… for the wrong reasons, of course.
Persephone: Well duh, of course Sierra Everett is going to get one of the best receptions here on the Voltage roster, she is The Crown Jewel after all, along with being one of the most promising wrestlers and individuals in all of EAW. And I assure you I am not being forced to say this due to comments from a third party, it is simply a fact! 😌
James Peters: … Alright then. So what happened last week could be considered an incredible upset, as Sierra Everett was able to slip away with a win against the Specialists Champion, ARIA. Sierra must be over the moon due to what she’s been able to do and considering what kind of person she is, she will let the whole world know what she did.
(Sierra walked down the ramp, mocking a few people in the front row while she made her way down to the ring, quickly getting up onto the apron and entering through the ropes. She took in the reaction from the crowd a little bit more before her music died down, the boos grew louder and Sierra could only laugh in response as she immediately spoke up.)
Sierra Everett: Ohhhh, Canadaaaa! Are all of you here in the crowd such good comedians? Because the little joke of booing me is hilarious, you are supposed to cheer for me after all. They say that all of the people in Canada are very nice, so let’s try this again, hello Canada!
Crowd: SHUT THE (BLEEP) UP! SHUT THE (BLEEP) UP! SHUT THE (BLEEP) UP! SHUT THE (BLEEP) UP! SHUT THE (BLEEP) UP!
Sierra Everett: HEY NOW! The F word isn’t supposed to be said in our Disney-led EAW! You should all be saying “Please keep talking Sierra!”
(The crowd booed even louder than before, just letting their thoughts be known and rebelling against her as the smile on her face faded away a little seeing they weren’t following what she said, but it was still fun seeing the crowd get angry.)
Sierra Everett: Oh well, I don’t need your approval and claps from your sticky maple syrup hands. All the approval that I need is from ME and ME ONLY, and of course, Candice and our new best friend, Halsey!!! I am the fastest rising star currently in EAW simply because I can take my time with it. Why go all out at the start and end the thrill of the chase so early? Being on the top for soooo long 24/7 will get boring eventually with nobody being able to beat me. So I simply want to enjoy the road ahead and then when I believe it is time for me to show how all of you can’t compare to me, I shine as bright as a diamond and break necks in the process. I don’t need moments, I make them, I make history just like that, that is why last week when I thought it was maybe time to finally show you how it is done, seeing everyone get all arrogant because of one bad day at King of Elite and complaining about my total proof training regime? And you know what I did the week after that happened? I did the thing that I said I would, I beat the Specialists Champion!
Sierra Everett: I mean, come on, even the people here booing me have to be on my side for this one, ARIA ended up deserving the loss that I handed to her. Now I know I might be a… controversial person, I am not very well-liked, and to that, I say if you can’t accept me at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best. Anyway though, ARIA wasn’t anybody different, of course, but I knew there was something more to it than just simple dislike. She wasn’t taking me seriously at all, you could say she… ”underestimated” me, huh? And where did that bring her? Me making her look like a bozo. So now that we are in this situation, if I can beat her like I did last week, why shouldn’t I be the one being called here right now in this very ring Specialists Champion? ARIA shouldn’t be holding that title right now, and as far as I am concerned, I should be the one walking into Tempest with the Specialists Championship in my hands-
(“DESTINY” by Saori Yoshida hits through the speakers next and the crowd gives bigger support towards the Specialists Champion, ARIA, as they cheered her over Sierra when she interrupted her. She came out obviously angry and upset, her expression was one full of anger and disappointment, simply staring down at Sierra who was the only one enjoying the moment.)
Persephone: And there she goes! The woman who wrongly accused our Disney representative and one-third of the vile group the Ice Aces!
Rich Russillo: Weren’t the accusations true-
Persephone: I am being told- I MEAN, it has been shown it was for a good cause either way! Well good thing the Crown Jewel was there to bring her karma and show how much of a fraud she truly is!
Rich Russillo: Well, actually-
James Peters: You aren’t winning this Rich, let’s just continue. Finally, the Specialists Champion makes her appearance after she suffered the sudden upset at the hands of Sierra Everett. ARIA is a woman who always said she would defend herself no matter the circumstance and no matter the costs, so it is clear she isn’t going to hold back from revealing the truth here.
(ARIA walked down the ramp without wasting any time, the Specialists Championship shining brightly wrapped around her waist. Sierra simply began to brag while ARIA made her entrance.)
Sierra Everett: And there she goes ladies and gentlemen, there goes your failure of a detective, what are you going to do this time, huh? Search around the arena in every nook and cranny for your broken dignity?
(ARIA meanwhile got closer and closer, already getting to the ring and entering through the ropes.)
Sierra Everett: Are you going to join up with Scooby Doo and the gang and try to rip away my face-
(Before Sierra could finish her joke, ARIA got right up in her face and stared her right down, a death glare that you don’t usually see from someone like ARIA as she spoke directly to Sierra.)
ARIA: And you think cheating me out of a match makes you God incarnate?
(The crowd oooohhh’ed when ARIA said that as in their actual match, Sierra pulled a dirty tactic, pushing her thumb into ARIA’s eye at one point while the referee was unaware of it just before Sierra got the surprise victory over ARIA. Sierra simply looked away as her smile was totally gone, she looked down at her nails with a neutral expression as ARIA pushed on.)
ARIA: Well then?
Sierra Everett: It was just a slip of the hand, because of one accident I’m going to get crucified?
(Sure, an accident, ARIA didn’t believe that at all. But instead of doing anything else drastic, ARIA simply let out a smile and slowly backed off, but it was a smile with a bit of frustration in it.)
ARIA: Sure, you know what? Cool, let’s pretend to go down this route Sierra so you can have an actual good reason for what I am about to propose next. Yeah, what a surprise, you ended up catching me off guard last week with your “accident” and thanks to that you actually managed to defeat me. Bad things happen every day, nobody is perfect, and sometimes you are going to slip and the crown you wear will end up falling to the ground every once in a while, either by accident…or intentionally. I mean, after all, Sierra, the best thing you have done your entire time here was that upset win over me, so I am sure you are very familiar with slipping and falling yourself.
ARIA: Am I proud of what ended up happening? I am obviously not, I am supposed to be in tip-top shape when holding this championship here in my hands, but the last thing that I am going to do is let that kind of loss define my title reign. I have suffered over 100 losses and despite all of that, I overcame them. I came back from them and became a Champion. You think I can’t come back from one mistake that I ended up doing? And if your answer is no, it is clear you don’t know anything about me at all. You want a rematch, Sierra? You actually want to prove yourself and not let little accidents plague your performance? I’ll happily give you a rematch!
(The crowd cheered loudly for ARIA’s response on wanting another match against Sierra. Sierra simply looked on with a neutral expression still on her face as she spoke up.)
Sierra Everett: Of course I want another match, genius, but I am not interested in just facing you again… what I want is the Specialists Championship-
ARIA: I knew you would say that Sierra, I was just getting to that. I mean, I have been thinking about my future as Champion and who could be my next challenger following King of Elite, and considering what happened last week with you literally getting a win against me, it is hard to say that you aren’t deserving of an opportunity, even though there is a little bit of baggage stuck to that. You want the Specialists Championship? I have no problem putting it on the line, but if you want to get it, then you are going to have to beat me fair and square for it at Tempest!
(The crowd exploded in cheers hearing ARIA accept Sierra’s demands and the match being made official for Tempest, as ARIA stared down at Sierra again and slowly spoke up to the microphone.)
ARIA: One last thing, that thing you said about me underestimating you? No, I brought 100 percent effort to our match, just sometimes the machine bugs out and it makes an error. But I promise to you that at Tempest, I am doubling that effort.
(ARIA threw the microphone away and “DESTINY” began playing on the speakers again. ARIA was going to raise her hand for a handshake but she immediately stopped when she thought about it for a few seconds.)
ARIA: (off-mic) You aren’t going to accept the handshake, are you?
(Sierra could only let out a crap-eating grin at the question.)
Sierra Everett: (off-mic) What do you think?
(ARIA pulled her hand back and simply took a few steps back, slowly leaving the ring and keeping an eye on Sierra as she left.)
Rich Russillo: And it is official, ARIA versus Sierra Everett at Tempest for the Specialists Championship! An exciting rematch between two young stars of EAW with a lot of stakes behind it!
Persephone: Exactly what everyone at Disney needed! A true Specialists Champion that can hold that belt with prestige and honor, a shining beacon of hope and the true redemption for both Team Eden and Voltage as a whole! I am such a fan I swear to Gawd! 😤
James Peters: I think myself that after what happened last week, ARIA isn’t going to back down at all. She has shown multiple times her greatest strength is her determination to not back down at all and get things done, she promised she isn’t going to be taken by surprise like that again and she will do her all to make that come true, either way, I am sure these two ladies will have an incredible match between each other once again!
(The two women simply stared down at each other as ARIA backed down up the ramp and Sierra stood in the ring, with ARIA’s expression being full of pure anger while Sierra’s expression was one of a smile pure of joy and confidence. With that, Voltage faded away to commercials.)
(A commercial is shown for Red Lobster featuring Answers World Champion Jake Smith.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades back into the arena where Bella Braxton is seen standing at the center of the ring with a microphone in hand.)
Bella Braxton: The following is a NUMBER ONE CONTENDERSHIP MATCH for the UNIVERSAL WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP!!! And it is a singles bout scheduled for…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘A Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ by Yoko Takahashi is heard playing through the speakers of the arena with the crowd responding with loud cheers, the camera going over to the stage to show Usagi Senshi begin to make her way out from the backstage area. The stakes are high for her tonight and she knows it, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, allowing the moment to soak in while the crowd show their support, before then beginning to make her way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first… from Okinawa, Japan… weighing in at 115 pounds… ‘The Master of Excellence’… USAGI SENSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Persephone: Oh boy, now this is a wrestler I am SO interested in! She’s so talented and her voice definitely does not sound like nails on a chalkboard. If there’s anyone who can win the title it’s… her!
Rich Russillo: Despite the issues that Usagi has had as of late with her Ice Aces teammate and girlfriend Ayu Megumi, which look to be somewhat reconciled to say the least, Usagi steps into this match with possibly one of the biggest opportunities of her life tonight. A shot at the Universal Women’s Championship is on the line and I’m sure she’s going to lay it all on the line tonight if she wants to win.
(‘Sweet Dreams’ by Eurythmics, Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart is then heard blasting through the speakers to a mixed reaction with the camera panning around from the ring to the stage to reveal Harper Lee, who makes her way out with a confident grin on her face. She too knows what’s on the line and especially with what she has under her belt is of the firm belief that she has what it takes to accomplish it. She takes a moment to scan the crowd before then beginning to make her way to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent… from Charlotte, North Carolina… weighing in at 118 pounds… ‘CAPTAIN’… HARPER LEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: As for Harper she’s someone who is familiar with that exact title, having held it just a few months ago to start the Season. If there’s one thing we know it’s that she looks to capture it again, and she’s going to make sure to lay it all on the line here tonight just as Usagi is, which is going to make for a great match!
Persephone: The last time she faced a Voltage Elitist she got dogwalked by Sheridan Müller, showing a little bit of brand pride here because I love Voltage, I don’t think this brand is made for her. :periodt: But let’s just see.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: We are underway as these two talented professional wrestlers square off in the ring. Usagi Senshi goes to lock up! But Harper Lee with a hard kick to the side of her thigh! She got all of it there as Usagi shakes it off and retains her balance in the ring. Usagi and Harper are going to lock up again! Harper with another kick! But Usagi jumps over it! Usagi maneuvers herself around behind Harper grabbing her behind the waist. But Harper with a hard back elbow to the jaw of Usagi knocking her down on her back on the mat. Usagi rolls back up and immediately charges in at high speed, locking back on up with Harper. Usagi showing some aggression here but Harper manages to twist her around, throwing Usagi back first into the corner. Usagi ducks under the ropes as the referee demands the break up.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! BREAK IT UP LADIES!
James Peters: Harper Lee puts her hands up indicating she is properly breaking up the attack on Usagi Senshi. Usagi walks out of the corner but suddenly Harper sweeps the leg! Usagi falls down on her back hitting the back of her head on the bottom turnbuckle. The referee is warning Harper but technically she did break it up!
Rich Russillo: Harper Lee charges in as Usagi Senshi gets back up holding the back of her head. Running Pump Kick from Harper! But Usagi rolls out of the way! Usagi catches the flailing arm of Harper and sends her into the corner. Harper stops herself by holding the ropes as she reaches the corner! But Usagi from behind with a Rollup! Usagi for the win!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
James Peters: Quick kickout by Harper Lee! Harper not allowing Usagi Senshi to steal one here tonight! Harper immediately back up as she charges forward at Usagi. But Usagi drops to the mat in front of her and grabs the leg, yanking her down face first as Harper slams against the mat. Usagi whips her leg high up in the air bringing it down over the neck of Harper. Scissors Kick!!!
Persephone: Ohs nos! She missed! How tragic!
Rich Russillo: Usagi Senshi did indeed miss and Harper Lee moves out of the way! Usagi turns around and eats a hard Superkick to the jaw causing her to fall to the ground with a thud. Harper into the cover!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: Quick kickout by Usagi Senshi this time! But Harper Lee immediately locks Usagi into a Triangle Choke; she is strangling her in the ring as punishment for that kickout! Maybe she is reconsidering kicking out of that pinfall now! Usagi is struggling and thrashing and manages to get the tip of her boot on the rope forcing the break!
Rich Russillo: Harper Lee reluctantly releases the Triangle Choke as she gets back up followed soon after by Usagi Senshi! Usagi charges in but Harper with a Shoulder Block! No! Usagi moves out of the way! Usagi rolls to the side as Harper rushes her with a forearm but Usagi blocks it! Usagi with a series of hard forearms crushing into the forehead of Harper! Harper reeling back now up against the ropes as Usagi runs in! Usagi with a Clothesline to Harper over the top!
James Peters: But Harper Lee flips over the ropes and lands feet first on the apron! Usagi Senshi eats a Jumping Enzuigiri over the top rope kicking her back in the face! Harper re-enters the ring and charges forward, tackling down Usagi with a Running Spear! Harper just planted Usagi with authority!
Persephone: Not with enough authority. Look. She’s starting to get back up again.
Rich Russillo: That she is. Usagi is back to her feet and Harper is ready to strike with that discus lariat, BUT USAGI AVOIDS IT AND USAGI COUNTERS WITH AN ELBOW TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!
James Peters: Harper Lee staggered after that shot as she stumbles forward and USAGI WITH A DISCUS CLOTHESLINE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! LEE SENT TO THE MAT! Now Usagi rolls Harper over and mounts her before THROWING REPEATED FOREARMS INTO HARPER’S FACE!
Rich Russillo: Harper blocking most of the shots and Harper manages to shove Usagi off of her to get some distance between the two. Harper backs herself into the corner while Usagi is right there. Usagi goes to pull Harper back to her feet–
Persephone: Harper grabs Usagi’s top and pulls her face first into the middle turnbuckle. I mean that’s one of the oldest tricks in the book. I thought someone of Usagi’s skill would have seen that one coming. But that’s just me.
James Peters: Usagi is still facing the corner as Harper Lee backs up before running full speed AND HITTING DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! THAT SENDS USAGI FACE FIRST AGAIN INTO THE TURNBUCKLE!
Rich Russillo: Usagi is getting up close and personal with the turnbuckle, but now Harper pulls her back to her feet and pushes her back into the corner and starts delivering kick after kick to Usagi’s ribs.
James Peters: The referee once again admonishes Harper Lee to let Usagi out of the corner. Harper goes to fire a shot, BUT IS MET WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE! Harper is out of the corner and Usagi looks to go for a bulldog–
Persephone: But Harper slides through and counters with a full nelson. I love it when they keep countering like this. It just means the fun gets to keep going longer and longer.
Rich Russillo: Full Nelson applied and Harper pulls Usagi away from the corner AND SNAPS HER BACK WITH THE DRAGON SUPLEX! HARPER KEEPS THE HOLD AND BRIDGES UP FOR A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOO-
Persephone: Usagi kicks out! Yay! That means the match still goes on. I’m so excited that I almost can’t stand it. Really.
James Peters: Harper is starting to build some momentum and if she gets on a roll, Usagi will find out exactly why Harper is a former Universal Women’s Champion. Harper brings Usagi back to her feet and whips her to the ropes.
Rich Russillo: Usagi comes back and Harper catches her for a backbreaker, BUT USAGI WRAPS THE LEGS AND COUNTERS WITH A HEADSCISSORS THAT SENDS HARPER FOR THE RIDE! Harper comes back, but Usagi catches her with a forearm to the face.
James Peters: A couple more forearms from Usagi before a boot to the gut doubles Harper over. Usagi pulls her in and grabs her waist before LIFTING HER UP FOR A SITOUT POWERBOMB–
Persephone: But Harper manages to counter once again in this match by sliding down Usagi’s back. Now Harper is looking for a sunset flip. Usagi is trying to keep her balance, but she eventually loses her balance and falls into the cover. About time.
Rich Russillo: But Usagi immediately rolls through and back to her feet AND GOES FOR A DROPKICK, BUT HARPER AVOIDS IT! Usagi crashes onto the mat. Harper gets back to her feet and grabs her legs AND HARPER GOES FOR A JACKKNIFE COVER!
James Peters: The ref is down for the cover, BUT GETS FREE BEFORE BOTH LADIES BRIDGE UP! WHAT POWER BEING SHOWN BY BOTH WOMEN! Usagi rolls through and hooks Harper’s arms AND TAKES HER DOWN FOR A BACKSLIDE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEE!
Persephone: Harper Lee kicks out again! Oh this match is so exciting that it is positively overwhelming. They are both back to their feet as Usagi tries to fire off a roundhouse kick-
Rich Russillo: HARPER CATCHES THE FOOT! HARPER STOPS THE ROUNDHOUSE KICK AND WALKS HER OVER TO THE CORNER AND COUNTERS WITH AN EXPLODER SUPLEX RIGHT INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!
James Peters: That was a double ugly landing for Usagi. First into the turnbuckles and then crashing into the floor afterwards. Harper Lee back in control as she brings Usagi back to her feet AND SLAMS HER HARD TO THE MAT!
Rich Russillo: Now Harper decides to take the match up to the high rent district as she climbs up to the top rope. Harper is perched and Harper is ready to fly. She’s calling for Usagi to get back to her feet.
Persephone: If she was smart, she would stay down or roll away or something. When she gets back up, she’s in a huge mess of trouble.
James Peters: That remains to be seen as Usagi is slowly getting back to her feet after those ugly landings earlier and Harper is more than ready to pounce at the perfect moment. She might get that moment now as Usagi is up AND HARPER JUMPS FOR THE METEORA–
Rich Russillo: USAGI MANAGES TO BLOCK IT BY CATCHING HARPER! USAGI has a hold of Harper’s legs and Usagi walks over to the closest set of ropes AND USAGI JUST DUMPS HARPER OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE FLOOR!
Persephone: Then again, I could have told you that it probably wasn’t going to work. Most of these high risk moves from the top rope almost never work. Harper got what she deserves when she cracked the ring apron on landing.
James Peters: She landed out in front of us. She crashed to the floor, but she managed to grab the ring skirt on the way down so she is starting to do whatever she can to get back to her feet.
Persephone: You just gotta love the tenacity and the creativity these two competitors are showing in this match. It is the second most amazing thing ever because Rex McAllister will always be first.
Rich Russillo: Of course he is. Anyways, Harper is finishing the climb back to her feet, BUT USAGI WAS WAITING FOR IT! As soon as she saw Harper’s head start to show, she goes full speed to the ropes and comes back BEFORE TAKING HARPER DOWN WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! THEY ARE BOTH DOWN IN FRONT OF US!
James Peters: Usagi is the first to begin stirring, and picks Harper back up, rolling her onto the ring. Usagi is noticeably a bit sluggish in her efforts, exhausted after partaking in such a grueling match thus far. Harper gets up to all fours, and Usagi needs to act fast as she slides back inside the ring. Harper sees her opposition coming, and powers back to her feet, hoping to defend herself, and have a chance at regaining the upper hand.
Rich Russillo: SENSHI CHARGES LEE! BUT HARPER DUCKS UNDERNEATH THE CLOTHESLINE, AND BOTH COMPETITORS RUN OFF OPPOSITE ROPES TO ONE ANOTHER, COLLIDING INTO EACH OTHER WITH DOUBLE CROSSBODIES! BUT ALMOST RUNNING OFF INSTINCT OR ADRENALINE, BOTH COMPETITORS RUSH BACK TO THEIR FEET, AND TAKE EACH OTHER DOWN WITH DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!
James Peters: That collision seemed to do the trick, and put both women down. But the question is: for how long? Which woman can make it back to their feet? Lee or Usagi? Whoever does would garner a massive advantage over the other. Harper Lee is showing signs of life, but so is Usagi.
Rich Russillo: Welp, it appears neither will get that clear cut advantage over the other just yet as both women struggle back to their feet at the same time. Harper unloads first with a forearm smash on Usagi, allowing bone to meet jaw. That did some damage to Senshi, who is about to be on the receiving end of another one as Harper cocks that arm back- BUT USAGI CUTS HER OFF WITH A FOREARM SMASH OF HER OWN!
James Peters: Lee staggers back, being caught off guard, but returns fire with a second forearm! Usagi does the same! HARPER! USAGI! HARPER! USAGI! BOTH WOMEN ARE TRADING FOREARMS, BUT SENSHI GETS THE BETTER OF THE EXCHANGE, FOLLOWING UP WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! SPINNING BACKFIST PLACES LEE ON WOBBLY LEGS! USAGI GOES FOR THE ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO FINISH OFF THE ELITE COMBO!
Rich Russillo: BUT LEE DUCKS UNDERNEATH, AND SCORES WITH RAGNAROK! THE OLYMPIC SLAM! HARPER HOOKS THE LEG FOR A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHRRRRRRRREEEEEE-
Persephone: SHOULDER UP! HOW EXCITING, THE MATCH GETS TO CONTINUE!!!
James Peters: Harper Lee is visibly upset that didn’t get the job done, but knows she has to refocus, recalibrate, and already start thinking of her next game plan.
Rich Russillo: Lee stands herself up, and starts encouraging Usagi to do the same thing! Lee waits til Senshi regains her footing to SPRINGBOARD OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE IN FRONT OF HE- WAIT! USAGI SPRUNG ON THE MIDDLE ROPE WITH HARPER, AND BROUGHT HER BACK DOWN TO THE CANVAS WITH A RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! LEE LANDED HIGH ON HER HEAD AND NECK, ROLLING THROUGH TO A PRONE POSITION!
James Peters: SHES DOWN, BUT IS SHE OUT AS USAGI SHOOTS THE HALF FOR A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
James Peters: KICKOUT AT TWO! But did the kickout cause more harm than good? Usagi has a look of intensity in her eyes not like any other she’s displayed in this matchup thus far, and begins pulling Lee to her by the hair.
Rich Russillo: Harper gets placed between her legs, and hoisted up for LOST IN THE FIRE! NO! LEE FLOATS OVER, AND COUNTERS WITH A FRONT FLIP BACKSTABBER! MODIFIED VERSION OF HOUSE OF BALLOONS! IT MIGHT HAVE KNOCKED USAGI UNCONSCIOUS!
James Peters: LEE ROLLS HER OVER FOR THE COVER, HOOKING THE LEG!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘Sweet Dreams’ begins to play up again while Harper Lee pulls herself up and immediately raises her hands in the air, signaling that she is the victor. She’s excited that this has happened and she has another chance to become the Universal Women’s Champion, as she gets back up to her feet and has her hands raised in the air by the referee. Harper then jumps up to the top rope and spreads her arms out while continuing her celebration from there.)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… HARPER LEE!!!
Rich Russillo: Harper has done it! She stamped her ticket and now she has plans for a Universal Women’s Championship match against the one and the only Dr. Bethany Blue. Bethany beat Sienna at King of Elite who was the Champion who beat Harper for the title, so I think she is more than excited to see what she is made of heading into their highly anticipated match.
James Peters: They are no strangers to one another and it’s going to make for one hell of a match. Congratulations to Harper Lee, will she be able to become a two-time Universal Women’s Champion soon?
(Harper jumps down onto the canvas before then dropping down and rolling out of the ring, the camera going briefly to a disappointed and saddened Usagi Senshi in the corner. Harper is then seen making her way up the ramp as it’s the last shot seen before Sunday Night Voltage fades to elsewhere.)
(The camera fades backstage where TLA is shown meeting with the investors from the Moonlite BunnyRanch in a private conference room. One of the investors is shown stepping out of the room to grab a soda from a nearby vending machine.)
Investor: Whew… things are getting really heated in there. This TLA guy plays it hard. Sometimes I think he is just out to get all of our money and run. But that can’t be the case at all. I mean our name and brand has a lot of value. Certainly he wants a long and prosperous business relationship with us.
(The investor is shown strolling the hallways backstage drinking their Mountain Dew Pitch Black as they walk into an ongoing photoshoot. They quickly step out of frame to avoid interrupting it as they stand back to watch what is going on.)
Photographer: Okay. Looks like we are getting some very fine renders here tonight people. Great work. You know we just love these renders. Gotta get some more of them. Real quality renders you know that one wasn’t so great but we will just crop it and make it work. Put some filters on it. Call it good. We are very professional. Alright next on the list… Uhhh Sheridan! How about you?
(Sheridan Müeller enters with an emotionless expression on her face as she stands in place in front of the screen for the photoshoot. She just stands there looking at the camera and waiting.)
Photographer: Well Sheridan we are going to need a little more than that. Can you give us a nice pose?
(Sheridan Müeller raises up her arms in a fighting stance as she scowls at the camera.)
Photographer: Yeah I suppose that will work. But could we get something a little sexier maybe?
(Sheridan Müller ignores this as she just glares harder at the photographer who decides to allow the pose she is using for the photoshoot.)
Investor: Sexier? I mean yo… how could it be any more sexy than that?
(The investor is shown drooling with their tongue out of their mouth as Sheridan completes her photoshoot.)
Investor: TLA said that his girls were fine. I didn’t realize that he had set up personal photoshoots for all of his Poons as well. I mean it’s almost hard to believe. Is this guy really the owner of EAW? I’ve been in the industry for awhile and never heard of them. It is very strange to run a brothel out of an arena during a professional wrestling show I must say. Very creative tho.
(The photoshoot comes to an end as the photographer packs up and leaves and the rest of the participants begin to take their leave as well. The camera cuts to a nearby hallway where Sheridan is shown looking at a print copy of one of her photos.)
Sheridan Müller: Hmm. I suppose this photo is quite sufficient. It does not need to be anything too fancy so long as it efficiently promotes my future professional wrestling contests.
Investor: Hey baby. How’s it goin’?
Sheridan Müller: Hmm?
(The investor who was watching Sheridan’s photoshoot suddenly approaches with a lecherous smile on his face and making grabbing motions with his hands.)
Investor: You know I was starting to have doubts about this TLA guy. I thought he might be tricking us but… man after seeing you… after seeing all of that!!! You know I am ready to go all in!
Sheridan Müller: What are you talking about? Who are you? Did you say TLA?
Investor: Don’t worry about TLA. I’m going to purchase you personally. Oh lawd am I smitten! I just gotta get me some! I apologize for my lack of professionalism… BUT DAYUM!
Sheridan Müller: Hmm it does appear you lack proper decorum and professionalism. I cannot say that I approve.
Investor: What? You mean you don’t want to come work for me? I would pay you very generously. I mean you don’t even have to do all that. Just lemme get some of that a-
Sheridan Müller: Sir I have no interest in anything to do with you. I am starting to become very disturbed by your advances. I must warn you of course that any further advances will not be tolerated. You have been warned.
Investor: Oh yeah… I have to say I really like it when you talk down to me like that. So authoritative! Have you ever considered using a whip?
(Sheridan couldn’t stop a look of disgust from crossing her face.)
Sheridan Müller: I don’t really have much use for weapons. I find that my body is sufficient.
Investor: OH YES! NOW THAT WE CAN AGREE ON!
(Suddenly the investor lunges at Sheridan in the middle of the hallway tackling her down to the floor. However, Sheridan immediately transitions the clumsy lunge into a Triangle Choke leaving the investor struggling in pain. Sheridan releases the hold as the man begins to desperately crawl away.)
Investor: No… Why…
(However, as the investor crawls off Sheridan Müller grabs him by the collar lifting him back up and palms his face directly into the wall leaving a bloody smear on it as his nose cracks. Sheridan then pulls him back up and grabs him from behind before dropping him with the Sherplex on the cold hard unprotected floor backstage.)
Sheridan Müeller: I am afraid I did warn you.
Other Investor: Oh my god? What the hell is going on here?
(Sheridan is shown on top of the investor punching him repeatedly in the face as the nearby meeting room empties out. TLA and the other investors from the Moonlite BunnyRanch enter the scene with a look of shock on their face.)
Other Investor: What is this? TLA you have clearly lost control of one of your female assets! You must punish her immediately!
TLA: I mean… about that…
Other Investor: Perhaps we were wrong to entrust you with that check TLA. Perhaps we should cancel it immediately before you can cash it.
TLA: :whoa:
(TLA rushes over and pulls Sheridan off the investor who is barely conscious at this point and a pool of blood has formed around his head.)
Sheridan Müller: TLA what is going on here? I demand an explanation immediately. This man attacked me out of nowhere.
TLA: Oh nah this lil weirdo be doin’ all that? Lo siento chica you know I ain’t be looking to cause none of that. I just be having a little business meeting is all ain’t mean to get y’all involved in none of that.
(TLA turns back to the investors with an angry look on his face.)
TLA: Yo is this the kind of business y’all are running? You want to try and come at a vato for a lack of discipline but then you be pulling things like this?
Investor: TLA I must warn you that if you do not get your whore in line we will have no choice but to terminate our business relationship.
Sheridan Müller: Get your what now?
(Sheridan suddenly looks enraged as she grabs TLA from behind and whirls him around before punching him hard in the face. TLA collapses to the ground as Sheridan storms off angrily. The other investors are shown helping both TLA and the fallen investor up from the floor.)
TLA: Ayyy what is with that hostility? Why can’t errybody just be a lil more tranquilo around here frfr?
(The camera cuts to a commercial for chicken tenders for no reason at all.)
(The camera cuts to a darker and more secluded portion of the backstage area. Seconds later, Dr. Doyle is shown sitting next to Samael. He could also be Michael at the moment because it seems like Dr. Doyal is having a peaceful conversation at the moment.)
Dr. Doyle: Look. I saw what you did last week on Voltage and I was stunned to say the least. I knew that you were wanting to cash in the 24/7 Contract soon, but I wasn’t expecting you to cash in up front like that.
Michael: What do you mean?
Dr. Doyle: I mean I know what you thought you were doing was the best move, but if you ask me, I think that it would have been a much safer option to have waited for the right opportunity. I mean why would you go and do what you did last week?
Michael: Because I felt like what I did was the best option. Come on, Dr. Doyle. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be just fine. After Tempest is over, I am going to be the new EAW World Champion.
(Dr. Doyle has a look on his face that is apparent that isn’t as sure as Michael is that Micheal will leave Tempest with the EAW World Championship. He shakes his head and takes a deep breath since he knows he is walking a fine line before he continues to talk.)
Dr: Doyle: I mean I just see how big of a match this is for you. This is for the EAW World Championship. This match isn’t against some random person off the street. You are taking on Myles.
Michael: So what? Myles is a normal human being and he can easily be defeated like any other person in EAW. I am more than capable of beating Myles.
Dr. Doyle: You certainly have the capability to do that, but you can’t take Myles lightly. Myles is a two-time EAW World Champion. He’s been in this business for a long time.
Michael: I know that, but what I can do can match up with the experience Myles has. I know I can beat him.
Dr. Doyle: I know you can, but I just believe that this match at Tempest could be much more of a challenge than you expect it to be. I just want you to be careful.
(Michael still has a content aura about him, but it is starting to get more obvious that Michael is starting to get annoyed at all the doubt that Dr. Doyle has for his upcoming title match.)
Michael: Why in the world are you so worried about all this? I know what I am doing is right and I know I made the right choice, so I don’t know why you can’t just support what I am doing and enjoy the fact that I am bringing the EAW World Championship back with me.
Dr. Doyle: I am worried becau–
(Before Dr. Doyle could start his explanation, his words getting caught in his throat because he catches Michael seemingly transforming right before his very eyes. The peaceful demeanor of Michaels has seemingly turned demonic. The peaceful eyes have almost turned red with anger and rage. Dr. Doyle knows what just happened. The line has been crossed. Dr. Doyle was NOT talking to Michael anymore. He was now talking to Caine.)
Caine: Nothing to say now, huh? You’re silent now, huh?
(Dr. Doyle takes a big gulp and he is speechless at the moment. He can’t find the right words.)
Caine: I am starting to get really sick of all this doubt. I really don’t like the fact that you are questioning each and every choice that I made last week while you are gone. I am not stupid. I am not an idiot.
Dr. Doyle: I never said that you were an i–
(Dr. Doyle was immediately cut off when Caine grabs the Doctor by the shirt collar and gets right in his face.)
Caine: SHUT UP! You’ve said your peace and I am done listening to it. So right now, it would be in your very best interest if you would back the hell off.
Dr. Doyle: Bu… But why?
(The question came out very hoarse because Caine still has a strong grasp on Dr. Doyle’s collar to the point that it is almost choking him. Caine realizes that and slowly lets Dr. Doyle free, but is still glaring at him silently letting him know that he is walking on thin ice.)
Caine: Because I am sick of your doubt. I am tired of it. I am fed up with it and I have had it with your doubt. So I am going to tell you this ONE. MORE. TIME! Dr. Doyle, it would be best for you personally and professionally if you mind your own business and stop worrying about me.
Dr. Doyle: Bu–
Caine: NO BUTS! NO! MORE! BUTS! Stop worrying about me and I mean it. I know what I am doing and you will see firsthand at Tempest that my choices were the perfect choices.
(The fire in Caine’s eyes is very obvious. Dr. Doyle once again takes a breath before saying the last thing on his mind because he knows that if it comes out wrong in Caine’s eyes, the end result could be very detrimental.)
Dr. Doyle: *sighs* I shouldn’t doubt you, but I can’t help it. It’s not because I don’t think you can’t get the job done. It’s just that I think that you might be getting yourself into more trouble than you are wanting to acknowledge with Myles.
(Dr. Doyle stops for a second and looks at Caine, who hasn’t changed his stance or appearance before he finishes what he has to say.
Dr. Doyle: I just think that you might be making a big mistake with how you went about thi—
(Just like that, Caine has his big hand around Dr. Doyle’s throat. The Doctor’s eyes go wide in fright as Caine has seemingly had enough with everything right now.)
Caine: What did you say? WHAT DID YOU SAY?!
(Before Dr. Doyle could answer, Caine has just snapped and punched Dr. Doyle right in the side of the head as he lets Dr. Doyle out of the choke and he falls backwards and slams against the wall before hitting the floor..)
Caine: I told you, Doyle. I TOLD YOU, BUT YOU JUST WOULDN’T QUIT!! Now? Now I’m going to make you quit. NO! QUESTIONS! ASKED!
(Dr. Doyle is trying to do anything he can to back away from this psychotic and crazed monster that is stalking him.)
Dr. Doyle: Pl.. Please. Have mercy.
(Dr. Doyle wasn’t fast enough as Caine catches him and hoists him back to his feet and glares at him with almost blackened eyes.)
Caine: Mercy is for people who don’t doubt Caine. Mercy is not for you.
(When Caine finishes his statement, he just throws Dr. Doyle with all his might and he crashes and goes through a wooden table. Caine quickly follows his prey and picks him back up to his feet.)
Caine: Do you doubt me now? DO YOU DOUBT ME NOW?
(Caine now takes the Doctor and sends him head first into a fire extinguisher case before pulling him up and takes Doyle over to a production crate and opens it up.)
Caine: Remember. This is all because of YOU!
(Caine puts Dr. Doyle throat first on the crate before he quickly SLAMS THE LID ON HIS THROAT. Dr. Doyle is slowly moving and Caine throws him to the floor and then puts his back to the camera so we can’t see what he is doing to the Doctor now.)
Caine: HAVE NOTHING TO SAY NOW, HUH? HAVE NO COMEBACK WHEN SOMEBODY STOPS YOUR LINES OF CRAP, HUH?
(Caine has finally finished unleashing his assault on Dr. Doyle who is not moving on the concrete floor. We can see that he is thankfully still breathing somehow after the attack. Caine drops to a knee and pulls Dr. Doyle up by the hair. We see the back of Dr. Doyle’s head because his face is facing away from the camera so we can’t see the true damage that Caine caused.)
Caine: Let me make this perfectly clear for you. You are either with me or you are against me and the way you have been talking it seems like you are against me. Right now, I can see that you are against me and I don’t want that. Due to your own apprehensions, you’re trying to get in my way. Let this be a lesson to you. When you get in my way…
(Caine gets his face really close to Dr. Doyle and whispers something in his ear.)
Caine: I! DON’T! NEED! YOU!
(The final shot shows Caine tossing Dr. Doyle’s unconscious figure back down to the ground before he stomps away to who knows where. After a few moments of being on the ground, we can see a pool of blood starting to form around his head thanks to all the damage Caine caused to him as the camera cuts back to the ring.)
(The camera pans to Candice Blair at the commentary table with ‘Rhapsody in Pink’ by Stela Cole (Clean Version) playing in the background.)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, PLEASE WELCOME… CANDICE BLAIR!
Candice Blair: I need to thank Bella for such a warm introduction.
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR…ONE FALL!!
(‘Primrose’ by Dream State plays to a mixed reaction from fans, but Daryl doesn’t let that affect his focus as he walks down the ramp, staring directly at bethany blue, knowing what a big win this could be for him, but also keeps an eye out fot Candife Blair ringside, who waves at him.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! Hailing out of Norwich, England, weighing in at 225 pounds…HE IS THE KINK OF ELITE…DARYL KINKADE!!
James Peters: You and Daryl have a major match coming up at Super Voltage. Are you ready for it?
Candice Blair: I am. I said all I needed to earlier, but now I’ll get a nice opportunity for Daryl to show what he can do against a World Champion.
(“Somebody Get Me A Doctor” by Van Halen plays as Blue comes out to a mixed reaction from fans, but raises her champion high in the air while standing on the stage, slinging it back on her shoulder as she walks down to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent! Residing out of Boca Raton, Florida, weighing in at 125 pounds…SHE IS THE UNIVERSAL WOMEN CHAMPION…DOCTOR BETHANY BLUE!!
James Peters: Dr. Bethany Blue is here, and it’s clear that the new Universal Women’s Champion is focused going into her match with Daryl.
Rich Russillo: She should be, he’s no slouch in that ring. He’s had a lot of good performances this season.
James Peters: Last thing a champion wants is to have his or her opponent’s name trending at their expense.
DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: The bell has rung, and we are underway. Bethany Blue versus Daryl Kinkade. As of right now, Bethany Blue is Universal Women’s Champion, could we be seeing Daryl match her when it comes to championship gold soon?
Candice Blair: Sure, I could see Daryl as a Hardcore Champion, or something along those lines in the near future, but if you’re talking about him being World Champion, sorry to disappoint, that’s me. I’ll be the one fighting for a World title at Grand Rampage, not him.
James Peters: Those are confident words-
Persephone: She should be nothing but confident going into her match with Daryl, because if you don’t believe you’re gonna win a match, why should anybody else?
Candice Blair: Well said, Percy. 😌
James Peters: I can’t argue there, just don’t get overconfident.
Candice Blair: Oh, I won’t. That’s why I’m here to scout, so I know exactly what to expect when we do square off.
James Peters: Fair point.
Rich Russillo: Well, Candice, you’re not finding much out at this moment as both competitors circle one another, but you’re about to as they finally lock up in the center of the ring, jockeying for position. Daryl has the power advantage, and uses over Bethany Blue, who he backs into a corner, keeping her pinned there, which causes the referee to intervene with a five count.
Referee: ONE! TWO!
James Peters: Daryl tried to score a right hand on Bethany Blue, but she ducked underneath, and backs away from Kinkade, who slowly turns around to face Blue again.
Rich Russillo: She outmaneuvered him there, but Daryl looks for a chance at redemption, circling Bethany Blue for a second collar and elbow tie-up. This time, Bethany gets the early advantage with a standing side headlock, going down to a knee, and bringing Kinkade down to his as well.
James Peters: Daryl powers back to a vertical base, and bounces Bethany Blue off the ropes to escape! Daryl leapfrogs over, and drops down, CATCHING BETHANY BLUE WITH A DROPKICK! Bethany Blue is feeling the effects as she rushes back to her feet, but charges at Kinkade, RUNNING RIGHT INTO AN ARM DRAG! Bethany is back to her feet again, and runs right into ANOTHER arm drag!
Rich Russillo: Bethany Blue pops back to her feet, and goes to charge at Daryl a third time, not sure how wise this i- ooh! I stand corrected as Daryl went for a third arm drag, and Bethany faked that she’d run right into another, causing the back of his head to whiplash off the canvas. Daryl favors the back of his head, and Bethany Blue tries to maintain control, bouncing off the ropes for an elbow drop.
James Peters: No water in the pool for Bethany as Kinkade avoids it! Both competitors get to their feet, Daryl making it to his first, and Bethany second, clutching at her elbow. This distraction allows for Daryl to grab her in a standing side headlock, and continues to tighten the hold, wrenching further and further as time goes on.
Persephone: Are you feeling somewhat impressed right about now, Candice? I sure am! 😃
Candice Blair: It’ll take much more than a few arm drags, and headlocks to do that for me.
Rich Russillo: Understandable. Meanwhile, in the ring, Bethany Blue follows Daryl’s approach, and bounces him off the ropes to escape a standing side headlock. CLOTHESLINE ATTEMPT BY BETH- DUCKED UNDERNEATH! Daryl stops himself short behind Bethany, who turns around, and gets placed into a side headlock for a second time!
James Peters: Bethany Blue seeks alternative methods, and hoists Daryl high for a back sup- lands on his feet! Daryl backflipped onto his feet behind Bethany, who spins around, and goes to deliver a TJD! BUT THE SUPERKICK IS CAUGHT BY KINKADE, WHOS SPINS BETHANY AROUND, AND SCORES WITH A BACKSLIDE!
ONNN-
Rich Russillo: Bethany quickly rolls through to all fours, and gets pulled up to a vertical base by Kinkade, who grabs her in a front facelock. He’s setting up for A Beautiful Lie, that cross-legged fisherman’s buster! But before Daryl could get hold of that leg, Bethany twirled out the front facelock, AND DELIVERED A ROLLING ELBOW TO THE JAW, STUNNING KINKADE MOMENTARILY, AND DOUBLING HIM OVER!
James Peters: BETHANY HAS A DANGEROUS LOOK IN HER EYES, AND RUNS OFF THE ROPES FOR CONCUSSION PROTO- DARYL SIDESTEPPED THE CURB STOMP! BETHANY SPINS AROUND- AND HALTS ANY POSSIBLE MOMENTUM WITH A KICK TO THE GUT! Daryl is doubled over once more, and Bethany staggers him back against the ropes with a forearm strike!
Rich Russillo: Blue takes control of the wrist, and bounces him off for an irish whip! But Daryl Kinkade doesn’t come rebounding back as he slides underneath the bottom rope!
Candice Blair: To his credit, he’s very agile.
Rich Russillo: Daryl beckons Bethany Blue to meet him on the outside, and she takes him up on the offer, rushing out through the middle rope! But Daryl Kinkade slides back in the ring as she does so, almost playing a game of cat and mouse! Bethany Blue goes to get on the apron, but Daryl knocks her off with a right hand. Bethany remains standing, albeit a bit staggered, clutching at her jaw, but might not want to turn around.
Persephone: Daryl slingshots himself over the top rope! :lupe:
James Peters: Bethany gets out of the way, but Daryl catches himself on the apron! Bethany tries to trip him up, swiping at his feet with her arm, but Daryl Kinkade leaps over it! Bethany Blue spins around- AND INTO A RUNNING PENALTY KICK FROM DARYL! Bethany goes down, and Daryl drops off the apron, grabbing hold of Blue, and rolling her back into the ring. Bethany is sprawled out in the center, lying prone and motionless.
Rich Russillo: Daryl gets up on the apron, and SPRINGBOARDS OFF THE TOP ROPE FOR A SHOOTING STAR PR- KNEES UP! BETHANY GOT THE KNEES UP, AND DARYL WRITHES IN PAIN, FAVORING HIS RIBS!
Candice Blair: It appears as if he got the wind knocked out of him!
James Peters: He came crashing down hard onto the knees of Bethany, who starts to stir, which spells out more bad news for Daryl than he already has, gasping desperately for air.
Rich Russillo: Daryl might be starting to stir himself, getting to all fours, BUT QUICKLY GETS KNOCKED ONTO HIS BACK BY BETHANY, WHO CHARGES IN WITH A PUNT KICK TO THE RIBCAGE! This is where being a doctor comes into play, she knows how to pick apart the body, and that’s what she’s doing right now to Daryl Kinkade, picking apart his body. From the looks of things, picking apart his ribs, which took the brunt of those knees.
James Peters: Bethany hooks the leg for a cover on Daryl!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
James Peters: Kickout at one! That doesn’t mean Bethany’s offense was ineffective however, as that kickout forced Daryl to expend energy, something he needs to do less of at the moment as it’s only going to wear him down.
Rich Russillo: Bethany Blue has no wasted motion, pulling Daryl back to his feet, BUT DARYL EXPLODES WITH A FOREARM SMASH! FOLLOWED BY A KNIFE EDGE CHOP! FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER FOREARM SMASH! Bethany is on wobbly legs, and Kinkade may have just regained the advantage as he whips Bethany toward the ropes! HIP TO- NO! Bethany Blue blocks, and tries to switch roles for one of her own, but Daryl holds his weight down, not allowing Bethany to get him up.
James Peters: BLUE! Blue just tagged Daryl with a knee to the rib cage, doubling him over briefly, and whips him towards the ropes for a kitchen sink! Daryl is at a seated position now, still favoring those ribs, and Bethany tacks on a seated abdominal stretch, which puts a lot of pressure on the ribs.
Rich Russillo: As if the submission hold wasn’t enough, Bethany continues inflicting more punishment on Daryl with elbows to the ribs while he’s locked in that submission hold.
Candice Blair: That must be a terrible position to be in.
James Peters: But Daryl grits through the pain, powering back to his feet, causing Blue to transition into an armbar, but Daryl fights her off with a hard forearm smash to the face, staggering her back a bit! Bethany tries for a kick to the midsection, but gets taken down with a dragon screw! Bethany gets to all fours, but Daryl lies on his side, still clutching those injured ribs. Who will be the first to their feet?
Persephone: That’s who’ll gain the upper hand.
Rich Russillo: Daryl gets to all fours, and crawls over to the ropes, using them for assistance in getting to his feet. Bethany Blue stands herself up in the center, and Daryl marches over, looking to capitalize, BUT WALKS RIGHT INTO A MICHINOKU DRIVER FROM BLUE! SHE HOOKS THE LEG FOR A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
James Peters: Kickout! Daryl gets the shoulder up, and rolls away from a seated Bethany Blue, creating separation. Blue must be thinking up her next game plan as she watches Kinkade crawl over to the corner, seating himself there. Bethany Blue gets back to her feet, and removes the separation between herself and Kinkade, tagging him with multiple stomps to the sternum!
Rich Russillo: Bethany Blue feels almost unrelenting in her attack, so much so, the referee has to intervene with a five count.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE!
Rich Russillo: The referee intervenes further, grabbing hold of Bethany Blue’s waist, and dragging her away from Kinkade, who’s beginning to stir with the small window of opportunity he has, getting to all fours. But Bethany nips that in the bud with another punt kick to the ribs that knocked him onto his back. Bethany Blue grabs hold of the top rope for assisted knee drops to the ribs of Kinkade. Again, the referee has to interject with a five count.
Referee: ONE TWO! THREE! FOUR!
James Peters: Bethany Blue brings Daryl Kinkade back to his feet in the center of the ring, BUT HE FIGHTS BACK WITH A STEP-UP ENZIGURI! However, he can’t quite capitalize as both him and Blue are down… at least momentarily. Both competitors are up to all fours, and Bethany Blue uses the corner to stand herself up. Daryl gets to his feet, and notices Blue propped up in the corner, so builds a full head of steam!
Rich Russillo: OOH! Bethany Blue sidestepped whatever Daryl had planned, and he went shoulder first into the ringpost! Bethany pulls him out from between the ropes, and spins him around for a suplex it seems like. BUT DARYL SHOWS SOME FIGHT, BLOCKING IT, REFUSING TO LET BLUE GET HIM UP! BETHANY TRIES FOR A SECOND TIME, BUT DARYL ONCE AGAIN BLOCKS IT, AND SHIFTS THE MOMENTUM FOR A SNAP SUPLEX IN THE CORNER! THE LOWER BACK OF BLUE COLLIDED INTO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE!
James Peters: Daryl Kinkade gets to his feet, favoring that shoulder, which could be another spot for Bethany to target down the line. But as of right now, she’s clearly out of it following that suplex, and Daryl drags her away from the corner, so he can mount her with punches to the head! Daryl is very methodical at first, still trying to get his bearings after the attack he’s been on the receiving end of, BUT STARTS TO RAMP UP THE INTENSITY, REIGNING DOWN WITH MORE AND MORE PUNCHES TO THE HEAD!
Rich Russillo: Bethany Blue is doing her best to cover up, and Candice, if you’re on the receiving end of these, you may not be so disney hot.
Candice Blair: :picard: You’re lucky I’m a professional, or else I’d leave after a statement so ridiculous.
Rich Russillo: I apologize if I may have offended yo-
Candice Blair: No need. The damage is done. :mjpls:
James Peters: Daryl finally tires out from hammering Bethany Blue with rights, and starts pulling her back to a vertical base. BUT A SNAP ARM WRENCH BY BETHANY BLUE DOES MORE DAMAGE TO THAT SHOULDER OF KINKADE AS IT GOT DRIVEN INTO THE CANVAS HARD! Daryl writhes in pain, clutching that shoulder.
Rich Russillo: When it isn’t the ribs, it’s the shoulder which causes Daryl some pain. Bethany Blue pulls him up to a seated position, and drives her knee in between his shoulder blades to pull back on the arms for a bow and arrow stretch! You can hear Daryl screaming in pain, but tries to grit through it as he powers back to his feet. Those arms are still being pulled behind him by Bethany Blue.
James Peters: DARYL DELIVERS A STOMP TO THE FOOT, CAUSING BLUE TO RELEASE THE HOLD, AND DARYL GOES FOR A PELE KICK! BUT BETHANY BLUE STEPS OUT OF THE WAY, LEAVING NO WATER IN THE POOL FOR KINKADE! BETHANY TRIES SETTING UP FOR SAY AHHHH! BUT BEFORE SHE COULD HOOK THE OTHER ARM OF DARYL, HE GOT TO A KNEE, AND ROLLED HER THROUGH TO A KNEE!
Rich Russillo: DARYL WANTS THE CROSS-LEGGED FISHERMANS BUSTER, BUT CANT THAT LEGGED HOOKED, SIMILAR TO EARLIER, BUT BETHANY REVERSES WITH A FUJIWARA ARMBAR, TRYING TO TEAR THAT SHOULDER OUT OF ITS SOCKET! BLUE WRENCHES FURTHER AND FURTHER! YOU CAN SEE THE LOOK OF PURE INTENSITY IN HER EYES!
Persephone: DARYL MAY NEED TO TAP! YA KNOW, FOR HIS OWN SAFETY!
James Peters: NO! DARYL KINKADE GETS HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE, FORCING A BREAK! Candice, are you happy knowing that Daryl could go into your match not being one-hundred percent?
Candice Blair: I mean, it’d make things easier, that’s for certain. 😅
James Peters: Very true. But focusing our attention back to the ring, Daryl rolls out underneath the bottom rope, and pulls himself back to his feet on the apron. Bethany notices this, and runs off the opposite set! BLUE TRIED TO KNOCK HIM OFF WITH A RUNNING SHOULDER THRUST, BUT DARYL SIDESTEPPED, AND WITH HER HEAD STICKING OUT BETWEEN THE MIDDLE ROPE, CAUGHT HER WITH A PENALTY KICK TO THE CHEST!
Rich Russillo: Bethany Blue removes her head out from the middle rope, but is groggy, which Daryl takes advantage off, SLINGSHOTTING HIMSELF OVER THE ROPE FOR A DDT! Bethany Blue rolls away from Daryl, possibly out of instinct. She didn’t want to be pinned, and Kinkade is in no position to do so as he slowly sits himself up.
James Peters: Daryl proceeds to shake the cobwebs out of his head as he gets back to his feet, and steps over Bethany, climbing to the top rope.
Rich Russillo: I question if it was a wise move by Daryl to not try for a cover.
James Peters: He knows some time has passed, and if you give an opponent time after a move, even a sliver, that’ll make it easier for them to recover, and get the shoulder up.
Rich Russillo: Daryl is on the top turnbuckle, but gets cut off by Bethany Blue with a right hand! Bethany climbs to the middle rope, and hooks him up for a superplex off rhe top! BUT DARYL FIGHTS BACK WITH SHOTS TO THE RIB CAGE OF BLUE, AND SLAMS HER DOWN FACE FIRST ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Daryl clubs her back before connecting with a SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB!
James Peters: NO! BETHANY HANGS ON TO THE TOP ROPE, AND DARYL LANDS ON HIS FEET, TRYING TO PEEL HER OFF FOR A POWERBOMB, BUT BLUE IS HANGING ON FOR DEAR LIFE! DARYL FINALLY POWERS BETHANY OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE, AND DRIVES HER DOWN IN THE CENTER OF THE RING WITH A RUNNING SIT OUT POWERBOMB! HE HOLDS IT FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHH-
Rich Russillo: KICKOUT! Bethany Blue rolls over to her stomach, and Daryl gets to his feet, grabbing a handful of hair, and pulling her up to her feet. Daryl hoists Bethany up in a fireman’s carry, but Bethany fights her way out of it with sharp elbows to the jaw. Blue slips off Kinkade’s shoulders, grabbing him in a front facelock as she does so, AND LANDS A FISHERMANS NECKBREAKER! BETHANY BLUE HURRIEDLY CRAWLS INTO A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHH-
James Peters: SHOULDER UP! Bethany Blue sits up, visibly starting to get frustrated. If there’s one thing you’re learning, it’s that Daryl can be very resilient, Candice.
Candice Blair: You can say that for many talents on Voltage, including myself.
James Peters: Both competitors are back to their feet, and Daryl’s a bit groggier than Bethany. Blue delivers a forearm smash, Daryl is so stunned, he’s left over for a second forearm smash. Bethany Blue charges for a clothesline, but Daryl ducks underneath it, AND BETHANY REBOUNDS WITH THE FRONT OF HER BODY OFF THE ROPES INTO A REBOUND GERMAN SUPLEX FROM KINKADE!
Rich Russillo: BETHANY BLUE GOT DUMPED HIGH ON HER NECK AND SHOULDERS, AND DARYL KINKADE IS SIGNALING FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE END!
Persephone: Can- HEY, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!
James Peters: CANDICE HAS LEFT OUR BROADCASTING AREA, AND HAS GOTTEN UP ON THE APRON TO DISTRACT DARYL! BLUE COMES FROM BEHIND WITH A SCHOOL GIRL!
ONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEEEE-
James Peters: NO! DARYL KICKS OUT, AND ROLLS THROUGH TO HIS FEET, TAGGING A KNEELING BETHANY WITH A ROUNDHOUSE! CANDICE IS IN SHOCK, BUT DARYL SOARS THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE WITH A SUICIDE DIVE, WIPING HER OUT!
Rich Russillo: WAIT! HE ISNT DONE YET, AND PLACES CANDICE BETWEEN HIS LEGS, POWERBOMBING HER THROUGH THE SPANISH ANNOUNCE TABLE!
James Peters: OH MY GOD! CANDICE IS OUT, AND BETHANY COMES FROM BEHIND, SENDING DARYL FACE FIRST INTO THE RINGPOST BEFORE ROLLING HIM BACK IN THE RING! DARYL IS GETTING TO HIS FEET, LOOKING AS IF HE DOESN’T KNOW WHERE HES AT, AND TURNS AROUND INTO SAY AHHH! THE MANDIBLE CLAW IS LOCKED IN!
Rich Russillo: BETHANY WRESTLES DARYL DOWN TO THE CANVAS, AND SLAMS THE BACK OF HIS HEAD OFF THE MAT REPEATEDLY, CAUSING HIS LIGHTS TO GO OUT! SHE HAS THE HOLD LOCKED IN STILL, BUT DARYL IS OUT!!! THIS ONE IS OVER!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: HERES YOUR WINNER… DOCTOR BETHANY BLUE!
(“Somebody Get Me A Doctor” by Van Halen plays to a mixed reaction, knowing Daryl got cheated out of that match by Candice, who still lies motionless on the outside. Bethany removes her hand out of Daryl’s mouth, and is handed her Championship, so begins to celebrate.)
James Peters: What a match between these two, but in the end, Bethany Blue reigns supreme.
Rich Russillo: I can’t help but feel Daryl was cheated as Candice interfered in the match. Bethany Blue wins, but there is definitely a giant asterix behind it.
Persephone: Great match! Wooo!!! Go Voltage!
(Bethany exits the ring, and raises her Championship high on the ramp as the camera fades elsewhere.)
(Commercial for TikTok, where Ronan Malosi promotes the upcoming Voltage event, Tempest.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades back in from the commercial break to show a shot of the arena, with the crowd excited to know what’s next after what was an exciting match they just got the opportunity to witness. Their hype was absolutely soured in record timing after hearing ‘Low of Solipsism II’ by Yoshihisa Hirano play through the speakers. Thunderous boos erupt almost immediately, with the camera quickly panning over to the stage to show none other than the despicable Drake King, who is making just way out from the backstage area and toward the stage. As always, he bears a displeased look on his face, now more than ever, especially after the events that occurred last week on Voltage. He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes and bowing his head down, before then beginning to make his way down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… DRAKE KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Last week, Drake King made his “return” to the Sunday Night Voltage brand after a “hiatus” after Road To Redemption, where he questioned why people thought he participated in the finals of the King of Elite tournament at the King of Elite tournament.
Persephone: Hold on, I think he’s onto something. Is there a slight possibility… Drake is telling the truth?
Rich Russillo: :francis: Absolutely not.
James Peters: Regardless of what his calendar was like in the past, it seems someone has marked a date for the future, and that’s Yhwach O’Hara. He attacked Drake while he was leaving and laid him out, making a statement heard around the world, and that was that he was next. Now he’s coming out to the ring and it seems he’s going to respond to all of this, could we possibly be seeing a response from the perpetrator following it?
(Drake makes his way up the steps and onto the apron, entering through the ropes before taking a microphone from the timekeeper’s area. He makes his way toward the center of the ring, taking a look around while ‘Low of Solipsism II’ begins to come to a close and the only thing that’s heard is the loud boos of the crowd. Drake can only shake his head, turning around and making his way toward a corner, taking a seat on top of the turnbuckle padding, and crossing his legs with one hand to his lap and the other bringing his microphone up to his mouth.)
Drake King: I don’t get it.
(The crowd boos loudly at this, as expected whenever Drake opens his microphone.)
Drake King: No, no, let’s not start this just yet. How about you hear my side of the story instead of jumping to conclusions like you always do. For months after months after months the only thing I’ve ever done is cater to all of you, that’s what was established right? I did what was right for this company, I did everything that I could to make it better, and the only thing I got for my troubles is spit on, stepped on, and disrespected. Even to this day, when I have done nothing, NOTHING, freshly returned, I get attacked from behind and laid out, for what??? What inclined Jamie O’Hara to do any of what he did last week on Voltage? Because that’s another thing I have to try and wrap my mind around on top of everything else. And I know a lot of people are going to be saying shame on me for causing all of this, shame on me for getting Jamie to attack me over nothing. But I shouldn’t be the one saying shame on myself, no, I should be saying shame on YOU. Shame on ALL OF YOU. You know what you did while I was getting attacked for no apparent reason??? You CHEERED. You CHEERED for that God awful O’Hara, and thus I have the right to point the finger of accusation toward YOU, not the other way around in case you wondered.
Drake King: I’m not here to ask for forgiveness, I would never degrade myself to the point of pleading for something that pointless. All I want, and it won’t be out of your accusatory mouths, is an explanation. I want Jamie, and I want him to come out here to the ring and give an explanation for what compelled him to attack me after I’ve done nothing to him. It could be a number or things, but the answer that I point to is the same I could say for all of you here in Canada tonight. He couldn’t stomach the truth, he couldn’t stomach admitting that I was right in what I was saying. Different time, same story, that’s always the case when it comes to these conflicts that I find myself being wrongfully brought into. Well I’m here to tell you right now that I’m through, I’m sick of having to comprehend this sign language that you’re trying to put out to me, I want Jamie to come out to the ring NOW-
(Answering his prayers, ‘SUN//EATER’ by Lorna Shore is heard playing through the speakers. The crowd goes silent with the camera going from Drake inside the ring who quickly turns upon hearing the theme to the stage, where Yhwach O’Hara is seen making his way out from the backstage area and toward the stage. Yhwach has his usual calm yet threatening presence to him while he grips a microphone in his hand, slowly beginning to make his way down the ramp and toward the ring. While he heads toward Drake, ‘SUN//EATER’ begins to come to a close and he brings his microphone up to his mouth.)
Yhwach O’Hara: Call me by my name.
(Drake rolls his eyes at this, how he would focus on that instead of giving him an ‘explanation’ as to why he did what he did last week on Voltage.)
Drake King: Where are my manners? Excuse me, Yhwach is it? Why am I next?
(Yhwach does not take kindly to Drake’s sarcasm toward him.)
Yhwach O’Hara: You’re a child. A poor child clouded by a number of sins on his name, whether that be delusion, narcissism, greed, any of which you can pick out of a hat amongst many others. I look at you and I feel nothing but disgust because of this constant attempt at playing God by you, never once taking into consideration just how much of an insult that would mean to me. You’re a fool and the only gold that you bathe in is one of your own namesake, and that’s the only way I can see you, Drake. I can’t help but peel back the layers and see you as who you are… not what you want to be. You’re a man who wants full control over every facet of his life, have all his pawns laid out in front of him so he can play it to his heart’s desire. You pull the strings, you manipulate the people around you, you do all of this just for that feeling of complete and total dominance… I focus on one word, feeling. While stripping this world of Jamie O’Hara and replacing it with Yhwach is something I look at as a blessing, I look at that moment of weakness and it’s unsettling. I told Myles when I first came back that I did not forget what he and his associates had done to me, and it was inevitable that at some point everything would come back around to the ringleader, the one who was pulling the strings, the one who was manipulating the people around him, all for that feeling of complete dominance. Do you get it now, Icarus?
Yhwach O’Hara: You think I just forgot, you thought that you could get off scot free unlike your poor friend because of the distance that you’ve created between him. It will always come back to you Drake, the sins of your past, and I’m glad to see that you are just the same as you were before… because it’ll bring me all the more satisfaction putting you down once and for all. I feel no pity for you, even with your attempt at trying to make yourself the victim in this situation, I’m not a God trained to feel sympathy for the weak, I’m one that does not feel mercy, allows you to feel my wrath regardless of right or wrong. Your words, your disgusting words, will not help you for what’s to come, because as I said and I will reiterate… you’re next. Plea all you want, delay the inevitable if need be, nothing will stop me from doing what I vowed to do from the very beginning… correct history.
(Yhwach makes his way up the steps and onto the apron, slipping through the ropes and into the ring, continuing to keep his complete focus on Drake while he does so.)
Yhwach O’Hara: The crime is treason. The verdict is war. The sentence… is execution.
(Yhwach lowers his microphone while Drake thinks about what he had to say, letting it all sink in for a moment while still seated on the top turnbuckle, eyeing the ‘Omnipotent’ while he inches closer and closer to him. The crowd is dead silent, waiting in bated breath for what’s to come next. Drake jumps down from the turnbuckle to the canvas, making his way over to Yhwach scarily nonchalantly. He continues to ponder before bringing his microphone up to his mouth and looking to respond.)
Drake King: What are you even talking about?
(The crowd boos loudly while Yhwach keeps that same, cold blank stare. It’s hard to tell how he feels right now in front of someone like Drake, but it’s apparent that his patience is dwindling. He brings his microphone back up, looking to say some more…)
Rich Russillo: YHWACH TAKES HIS MICROPHONE AND SMASHES IT AGAINST THE HEAD OF DRAKE! DRAKE STAGGERS BACK WHILE YHWACH ENGAGES AND BEGINS TO SEND BLOW AFTER BLOW TO HIS FACE! DRAKE SENDS SOME BACK, AND WE ARE NOW IN A FULL FLEDGED BRAWL FOLKS!
Persephone: Poor Drake, because of how sick in the head he is, he has no clue what’s going on.
Rich Russillo: He knows very well what he’s done Persephone, and in fact he’s had this coming for a very long time!
James Peters: DRAKE AND YHWACH ARE TEEING OFF ON ONE ANOTHER RIGHT NOW! JUST HAMMERING AWAY! WE KNEW IT WAS GOING TO REACH THIS LEVEL OF ANIMOSITY AT SOME POINT, WE JUST DIDN’T KNOW WHEN! THAT POINT IS NOW! YHWACH HAS DRAKE BACKED UP IN THE CORNER, AND IS JUST GOING OFF WITH SHOT AFTER SHOT, UNRELENTING WHILE DRAKE IS FORCED TO GET ON DEFENSE!
Rich Russillo: DRAKE SHOVES YHWACH AWAY, CREATING DISTANCE BETWEEN THE TWO! DRAKE THEN STEPS FORWARD AND CONNECTS WITH A SUPERKICK TO THE ABDOMEN! DRAKE THEN PULLS YHWACH IN AND CONNECTS WITH ‘ASCENSION’! PEDIGREE CONNECTS!
(Drake stumbles backward into the corner while Yhwach slowly tries to get back up to his feet, eyeing his opposition and setting him up…)
James Peters: ‘JUDGMENT DAY’! CURB STOMP!
Rich Russillo: BUT YHWACH MOVES HIS HEAD LEAVING DRAKE WITH NOBODY HOME! HE STUMBLES FORWARD AND TURNS AROUND!
James Peters: ‘IN EXCELSIS’! RUNNING BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE TAKES DRAKE OUT!
(Drake drops down like a sack of bricks while Yhwach looks over him, with not a single sign of fatigue or even emotion coming out of him. Drake is out cold, and this scene looks just the same as it was last week, and Yhwach simply just steps over him before leaving the ring. It’s the last shot seen before Sunday Night Voltage fades into a screen bar.)
[SCREEN BAR – EARLIER THIS WEEK]
(The scene opens with a beautiful home in the deep forest and swamps of the Everglades, the older home with a large front patio is where we see Minerva sitting down in jean shorts, halter top and flip flops, there is a glass jug of lime-aid, Molly Waters also in comfortable summer like clothing sits next to her. The Orange-Haired vixen who has it popped up in pigtails crosses her legs and glances over at Molly Waters.)
Molly Waters: Thanks for allowing us to track you down here. Why the Everglades? What kind of reflection have you been able to do since King of Elite?
Minerva: First off, my door is always open for you Molly for there is nothing I have to hide here. I did disappear after King of Elite, felt like for the first time in over four years I needed a break, to step away for a second and really reflect back at everything that has been going on. I’m going to be totally transparent with you, I feel like a hypocrite and a liar, it didn’t sit well with me and the Everglades, most people see it as swamps, gators, snakes, mosquitoes, the whole works, but I see the beauty in it, if you really look at the peacefulness it brings and the chance to get away from the grind. Myles and I actually had moved in elsewhere, but I always kept this place because I like to spend time out here. Since King of Elite though, I made a promise when the season started, to carry this title to Pain for Pride and beyond, to have a better 2023 than I did 2022 and now I feel like I am right back where I was in the beginning of last year.
(Molly nods, but can see the frustration yet sincerity in Minerva’s face as she sips her drink.)
Molly Waters: Understandable. If you had to put your EAW Championship reign into perspective, how would you describe it? Where do you think it ranks all time?
Minerva: I mean looking back, I’m proud of what I accomplished, for sure. I defeated some of the top athletes that Voltage had to offer and the apex of my reign happened at the Elimination Chamber where I survived against the best of the best, the only World champion to walk out of a chamber unscathed. Winning at Pain For Pride to this day is a great accomplishment of mine, but the road that led to my eventual loss of the Championship I must admit was even better. As for ranking of all time? I can’t really judge on that, I’ll let you, the fans and those in charge make the assumption, I just know that I was really proud of what I did, just wish it would have been longer, for long as I waited for that moment, it went too quick even if it was seven months.
Molly Waters: I’m sure talking about your relationship isn’t high on your priority list, but I have to ask, where do you and Myles stand right now?
(Minerva adjusted in her seat, uncrossing her legs and sitting forward, looking a bit more uncomfortable but vowing to answer every question truthfully and honestly. Her voice though seems a little more despondent.)
Minerva: I’m hurt, hence one of the reasons I needed to get away, to be alone for a while, have some me time. I am happy that he has granted me that and isn’t at my door trying to knock it down, but where is our relationship? I don’t know Molly. I want to think I know but every time that I have answers more questions pop up. I saw a different side of him, he wants to convince himself that I have always known that side, have I? No, there was a lot of anger there and it was pointed toward me. Look, I am happy that he became the World Champion, I never said that it was about the belt, I always expected him to come after it, just not with so much vitriol, so I need some time to think about things, wonder if this is what I really want in my life or if I need to move on. I heard what he had to say on Voltage and on his promotional video toward Methuselah or whatever he is calling himself these days. I believe Myles, I really do, I just don’t know if he is capable of it. If he is ready to fight for it, then fight. We will see.
(She was obviously hurt and upset talking about it, her voice trailed away while sipping her lime-aid before turning back to Molly and forcing a smile before she asks her next question.)
Molly Waters: Moving forward, what’s next for you in EAW? A lot of people look at you as one of the pillars of this company and a true face of it. What does that mean to you?
Minerva: One of the pillars of this company and the face of it? I am really flattered, never really looking at myself as that all I ever wanted to do was win a World title and now that I tasted it, I want to do it again and I will. But it means the world to me that so many see me that way, but honestly right now that is not how I feel, letting people down including myself, really needing to take a moment to look back at everything and find a way to move forward. Molly, what is next for me? Simple, I compete, I go out there and set myself up for another World Championship run down the road, I was never pinned for the title, so I know that I am already at that level, but there are people out there I want to face that maybe I did so early in my career and were not ready, but am now, I want to beat the best and remind everyone just who the hell Minerva is. Then maybe, I can live up to those high expectations of being a pillar in this company and the face of it.
(A little more fired up, her icy blue eyes narrow toward Molly as she waits for the next question.)
Molly Waters: Is there anything you haven’t done yet that you would like to do?
Minerva: There are a few things Molly. I’d like to win a Grand Rampage. Maybe even a Cash in the Vault, win the World Heavyweight and Answers World Championships. My story is far from over, if anything it has just begun but there are so many types of matches and events that I want to be a part of, I want it all…. But my most precious one is to never lose at Pain For Pride. I’m undefeated in four years, won titles in three of them, defended successfully in the fourth. I want to continue that and maybe one day go into the Hall of Fame, but right now that is not really important. I want to be the best. I want those matches with Kassidy Heart, Ywhach O’Hara, Methuselah, The Visual Prophet, and so many others that are on my bucket list. I want one on one with Drake King, I have a slew of opponents that I would love to finally step in the ring with once again, at least the ones who are still around.
(Molly nods and smiles, appreciative of her answer.)
Molly Waters: When can we expect to see you back on Voltage?
(Minerva though doesn’t know how to answer this one.)
Minerva: Molly, I don’t know. It could be next week, next month or longer. I need to be ready, I need to have my heart and head in the right place. I need to move forward and not look back, dwelling on the mistakes and what has happened, why I am no longer the EAW World Champion and why I sit here alone without Myles. I need to be ready to tackle all of that and then? I’ll be back on Voltage, because when I do, you will know that I found my way and I am ready to continue the next steps in my career until I reach the pinnacle of being a pillar here in the EAW.
Molly Waters: Anything else you want to say?
Minerva: Just one thing Molly, it is time for Minerva to…. REFOCUS…. REBUILD…. RECLAIM.
(The two ladies toast their lemonade.)
Molly Waters: Thank you for your time.
(The scene slowly fades away into a commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Love & Marriage: EAW. Sadly, this does not star Myles and Minerva, instead focusing on power couple Ronan Malosi… and himself??)
(Voltage returns to ringside, where Bella Braxton is seen with a microphone.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen…. The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!
(The camera fades to the stage as the stage is slowly filled with smoke, and ‘Blackstar’ by David Bowie hits. There’s a loud reaction from the fans, who are still a bit unsure of what to think with the surprising return that took place at King of Elite. After a little while, Methuselah steps out for his first match since the return. He’s staring directly at the ring, and a blue spotlight is shining on him. He begins walking down to the ring, not taking his eyes off of the ring on his way down the ramp.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first… From the Solitary Candle in The Villa of Ormen… Weighing in at 220 pounds… MMMEEEETTHHHUUUUUUUSSSEELLLLAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: Methuselah… What can we even say? He’s the man Natasha Agnello saw in her visions, and if those visions weren’t enough to tell you how dangerous he is, what he actually did to Natasha at King of Elite should be.
Rich Russillo: Methuselah is actually about to have a match here on Voltage, and I can’t say I expected this last week. There’s been so many surprises in the past few months, and everything revolving this man just shocks me.
Persephone: Yeah, me too! I wonder if he’ll surprise us again by squashing Myles tonight… 🤔
(‘Enemy Strike’ by Yuki Hayashi follows, and there’s loud cheers from the fans as the EAW World Champion Myles begins to make his way out to the stage. As Myles walks out, he looks directly at his opponent, Methuselah. Despite everything that’s already going on with Myles, he knows just how significant of a match this is, and the last thing he can do right now is allow himself to be distracted by everything else going on. Before long, Myles begins heading down the ramp.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent… From Melbourne, Australia… Weighing in at 215 pounds… HE IS THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION… MMYYYYYYYYYLLLLEESSSS!!!!
James Peters: Myles has faced Mr. DEDEDE in the past, but I think it’s obvious that a lot has changed since that match. For starters, his opponent tonight is Methuselah. Myles on the other hand? He’s not the same man he was as a member of New Eden. These two might just be better than ever.
Rich Russillo: I think it’s safe to say Myles is, but with Methuselah.. I guess we’re about to find out. Remember, it’s been a very long time since we’ve seen him wrestle, especially for a match this big!
Persephone: True… I wonder if Myles will squash Methuselah… 🤔
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: AND THE MAIN EVENT IS UNDERWAY AS THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION IS READY FOR METHUSELAH! Myles wastes no time heading towards Methuselah, but Methuselah is able to force a lock up as the two Elitists have engaged in a collar and elbow tie up! Methuselah is the larger Elitist and is able to use this to his advantage as he slowly powers Myles into the corner- BEFORE IRISH WHIPPING HIM INTO THE OPPOSITE CORNER AND CHARGING IN! RAPTURE- NO! MYLES PULLS HIMSELF OUT OF THE WAY JUST BEFORE METHUSELAH COULD CONNECT WITH RAPTURE, AND INSTEAD OF THINKING ABOUT HOW CLOSE HE COULD HAVE BEEN TO LOSING HIS HEAD, MYLES STARTS TO PICK METHUSELAH UP FOR A CANADIAN RACK!
Rich Russillo: THAT’S THE SETUP NEEDED FOR WRATH OF PANDORA, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE HE’S NOT GONNA GET A CHANCE TO DELIVER THE MOVE AS METHUSELAH SLIPS OUT OF MYLES’ GRASP BEFORE SHOVING THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION AWAY FROM HIM! That shove sent Myles into the ropes, AND AT THE SAME TIME METHUSELAH BACKPEDALS AND BOUNCES OFF OF THE OPPOSITE PAIR! METHUSELAH NOW RUNNING DIRECTLY AT MYLES AS MYLES REBOUNDS OFF OF THE ROPES, AND HE GOES TO HIT THE CHAMPION WITH A SPEAR!
Persephone: MYLES JUST JUMPED OVER HIM!!!! MYLES MANAGED TO LEAP OVER METHUSELAH’S SPEAR BEFORE ROLLING BACK TO HIS FEET, AND ONCE METHUSELAH GETS BACK UP MYLES HITS HIM WITH A SUPERKICK, CAUSING HIM TO STUMBLE BACK INTO THE CORNER! Myles runs in, AND HE DELIVERS AN ELBOW STRIKE! Myles now climbing up to the middle turnbuckle, AND HE BEGINS TO PUNCH AT METHUSELAH! THERE’S THE FIRST! NOW TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX- WAIT NO! METHUSELAH MANAGES TO SHOVE MYLES AWAY AS MYLES IS FORCED TO ROLL BACK TO HIS FEET- RIGHT INTO A BIG BOOT!
James Peters: Myles stumbles back to his feet, AND METHUSELAH SCOOPS HIM UP BEFORE DROPPING HIM ONTO THE MAT WITH A SCOOP SLAM! Methuselah immediately running the ropes before Myles could even think of getting back up, AND THERE’S A TWISTING ELBOW DROP! Classic offense by Methuselah here as he goes for the first cover of the match!
ONE!
TW-
James Peters: AND MYLES KICKS OUT! Methuselah just shakes his head seeing that Myles is still in this, AND METHUSELAH PULLS MYLES’ HEAD UP BEFORE BEGINNING TO RAPIDLY ELBOW HIM IN THE FACE! METHUSELAH NOW, SLAMMING THE BACK OF MYLES’ HEAD INTO THE MAT!
Rich Russillo: Methuselah dragging Myles back up to his feet now, AND THERE’S A KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION BY METHUSELAH! Methuselah is in firm control of this match right now, and Myles is going to have to pull off something huge if he wants to stop this from being a one sided main event! Methuselah now with an Irish whip- WAIT NO! Myles turns it around, and he manages to send Methuselah over the top rope instead! Methuselah landing on the ring apron, AND MYLES IMMEDIATELY RUNS IN BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A BICYCLE KICK, KNOCKING METHUSELAH OFF OF THE APRON!
Persephone: Methuselah drops down to ringside, but it doesn’t look like he’s gonna be off his feet for very long!
James Peters: You’re right about that one! He’s already getting back up, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE MYLES EXPECTED THAT, WHICH IS WHY HE’S ALREADY RUNNING THE ROPES- BEFORE SOARING OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A TOPE CON HILO!!!!! MYLES TAKES METHUSELAH OUT WITH THE TOPE CON HILO, AND NOW MYLES WASTES NO TIME SENDING HIM BACK INTO THE RING BEFORE QUICKLY HEADING BACK TO THE TOP ROPE! METHUSELAH IS ALREADY GETTING BACK UP THOUGH, AND HE RUSHES RIGHT TO THE TURNBUCKLES!
Rich Russillo: MYLES JUMPS OVER METHUSELAH THOUGH, ROLLING BACK TO HIS FEET AS BOTH ELITISTS TURN AND CHARGE AT EACH OTHER! SHOTGUN DROPKICK BY MYLES, SENDING METHUSELAH INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!!!!! MYLES IMMEDIATELY GETS BACK UP AS METHUSELAH STUMBLES OUT OF THE CORNER, AND MYLES DROPS METHUSELAH WITH A MICHINOKU DRIVER!!!! MYLES HOOKS THE LEGS!!!!!
ONE-
James Peters: :lupe: Oh…
Persephone: I forgot he does that. :lupe:
Rich Russillo: Wow.. After an amazing streak of offense by Myles, Methuselah is able to kick out… But… Was that even a one count? I don’t think it was.
James Peters: Myles gets back to his feet, and I don’t even know what he could be thinking after what we just saw. For Myles to have connected with all of those moves and not even get a two count, Methuselah clearly has A LOT more in the tank tonight. It looks like Myles is going to try and change that though, as he slowly pulls Methuselah up before lifting him onto his shoulder. Myles now headed to the corner, and I think he’s gonna try for snake eyes- BUT METHUSELAH SLIPS DOWN BEHIND MYLES BEFORE SLAMMING MYLES’ FACE INTO THE TURNBUCKLE!
Rich Russillo: Myles stumbles out of the corner as Methuselah runs the ropes, AND THERE’S A JUMPING FOREARM SMASH BY METHUSELAH! MYLES GETS BACK UP, BUT HE’S IMMEDIATELY DROPPED WITH A SECOND ONE! MYLES UP ONCE AGAIN, AND METHUSELAH SENDS HIM INTO THE CORNER BEFORE RUNNING IN AND DELIVERING A RUNNING CLOTHESLINE IN THE CORNER! Methuselah sends Myles into the opposite corner now before charging in, BUT MYLES FINALLY MANAGES TO GET THE BOOT UP, CAUSING METHUSELAH TO FINALLY BACK OFF! Myles now grabbing Methuselah from behind, BEFORE SPINNING HIM AROUND AND DELIVERING A RIPCORD KNEE STRIKE!
Persephone: Myles pulls Methuselah into a front facelock before lifting him up into a suplex position, AND I THINK MYLES MAY HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A FALCON ARROW BUT METHUSELAH MANAGED TO SLIP OUT OF IT AND LAND ON HIS FEET! METHUSELAH WITH A REVERSE ROUNDHOUSE KICK, DROPPING THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION AS METHUSELAH TAKES A FEW STEPS BACK! Myles uses the ropes to pull himself back up, AND METHUSELAH RUNS IN BEFORE SENDING HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!! MYLES IS OUT AT RINGSIDE, AND IT LOOKS LIKE MYLES MAY BE THINKING OF TAKING A PAGE OUT OF MYLES’ BOOK WITH AN OUTSIDE DIVE OF HIS OWN!
James Peters: METHUSELAH RUNS THE ROPES AS MYLES GETS BACK UP!!! VINTAGE- NO! MYLES JUST SLID INTO THE RING BEFORE METHUSELAH COULD DIVE, GRABBING HIM BY THE LEGS AND PULLING HIM UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE! MYLES NOW WITH A KNEE TO METHUSELAH’S MIDSECTION, BEFORE SENDING HIM CRASHING INTO THE BARRICADE! Methuselah is still standing and is able to stumble away, SO MYLES GETS ON TOP OF THE APRON BEFORE RUNNING TO THE EDGE OF IT, DIVING OFF AND DROPPING METHUSELAH WITH A DIVING KNEE STRIKE!!! What a dive by Myles!
Rich Russillo: Myles has faced “Mr. DEDEDE” in the past, and we all know how that match ended. I wish I could say he has experience since then and that his growth since that match will help him tonight… But he might as well be fighting a different match entirely tonight! Methuselah is already using the steel steps to get back up, BUT MYLES GRABS METHUSELAH’S HEAD BEFORE SLAMMING HIS FACE ONTO THE TOP OF THE STEPS! Myles now grabbing Methuselah before sending him into the ring, and now Myles climbs up onto the ring apron as Methuselah is already getting back up!
Persephone: MYLES GOES FOR A SPRINGBOARD- NO! METHUSELAH MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND MYLES LANDS ON HIS FEET, BUT AS SOON AS MYLES TURNS AROUND HE’S MET WITH A KICK TO THE MIDSECTION! HELLFIR- NO! MYLES QUICKLY RUNNING INTO THE CORNER WHILE IN THE FRONT FACELOCK, CAUSING METHUSELAH TO BE SENT BACK FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLES! METHUSELAH WITH AN ELBOW TO THE BACK OF MYLES’ HEAD THOUGH, CAUSING MYLES TO BACK OFF A BIT! METHUSELAH CHARGES AT MYLES- BUT MYLES TAKES METHUSELAH DOWN WITH A SNAPMARE BEFORE RUNNING THE ROPES AND CONNECTING WITH A LOW ANGLE KNEE STRIKE! MYLES WITH ANOTHER COVER!
ONE!
James Peters: And still only a one count! Myles definitely has to be annoyed by now, although one thing we’ve always known about him is that he loves to fight. I’m sure this will just motivate Myles to hit even harder, even if it’s Methuselah he’s up against. Myles is pulling Methuselah up, AND IT LOOKS LIKE MYLES IS AIMING TO SET UP FOR A POWERBOMB, BUT METHUSELAH IS ABLE TO STAND HIS GROUND, DROPPING TO A KNEE AND HITTING MYLES WITH A PUNCH TO THE SIDE! METHUSELAH WITH A SECOND PUNCH, AND THE THIRD FINALLY FORCED MYLES TO LET GO!
Rich Russillo: METHUSELAH PULLS MYLES IN BY THE ARM, BUT MYLES SPINS AROUND AND GAINS CONTROL, PULLING METHUSELAH INTO A FRONT FACELOCK BEFORE HOOKING THE ARM OVER HIS HEAD! MYLES POTENTIALLY LOOKING FOR A SUPLEX OR A BRAINBUSTER- WAIT NO! METHUSELAH QUICKLY PUSHED MYLES’ ARM OFF OF HIS NECK, LIFTING BOTH ARMS INTO A DOUBLE UNDERHOOK BEFORE CATCHING MYLES OFF GUARD WITH THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT!!! The EAW World Champion is down, but Methuselah doesn’t go for the cover just yet, he seems to have something else in mind as he’s picking Myles up!
Persephone: Methuselah just put Myles on the top rope, and now he’s climbing up to the middle rope! I’m not sure what he’s got planned, but Myles has definitely lost whatever upper hand he may have had a little while ago!
James Peters: Wait a second, METHUSELAH IS SETTING UP FOR A SUPER BUTTERFLY EFFECT!!! HE’S HOOKING BOTH OF MYLES’ ARMS, AND NOW HE- WAIT WAIT WAIT!! MYLES MANAGES TO FREE ONE OF HIS ARMS BEFORE HITTING METHUSELAH WITH AN ELBOW!! MYLES MANAGES TO SLIP DOWN THE TURNBUCKLES UNDER METHUSELAH, AND IN THE PROCESS MYLES PULLED METHUSELAH BY THE HEAD!!! MYLES NOW WITH A SUPERKICK, NEARLY CAUSING METHUSELAH TO FALL OFF THE TURNBUCKLES COMPLETELY! MYLES GETS HIM IN A POWERBOMB POSITION THOUGH, AND I THINK IT’S OBVIOUS WHAT HE’S GOING FOR!
Rich Russillo: YEAH, SO OBVIOUS THAT METHUSELAH WAS ABLE TO DROP A HARD HITTING ELBOW ON TOP OF MYLES’ HEAD BEFORE PULLING HIMSELF BACK DOWN TO HIS FEET! IN THE SAME MOTION METHUSELAH WAS ABLE TO GRAB MYLES BY THE NECK AND HOOK THE ARM, AND NOW METHUSELAH LIFTS HIM UP, DROPPING THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION ON THE MAT WITH THE EGO DEATH DRIVER!!! EGO DEATH DRIVER CONNECTS, AND METHUSELAH HOOKS THE LEG!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE-
Persephone: 😀 MYLES GETS THE SHOULDER UP!!! That should- I mean could have been the end of the match right there, but somehow Myles actually managed to kick out right before three! Methuselah isn’t taking too kindly to it though. He just grabbed Myles and pushed him into the corner, STOMPING AWAY AT THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION!!! MYLES WAS JUST FORCED INTO A SEATED POSITION AND METHUSELAH JUST CONTINUES STOMPING AT HIS FACE AND CHEST! METHUSELAH HAS BEEN IN THE CORNER FOR A LITTLE WHILE THOUGH, AND THE REFEREE NOW STARTS TO COUNT-
James Peters: Or not! Methuselah gives the referee a glare that tells him everything he needs to know! The referee clearly not wanting to risk losing his job, so he just watches on as Methuselah throws a few more kicks and stomps to Myles’ jaw! Methuselah finally pulling Myles out of the corner, AND THERE’S A PUNCH TO THE MIDSECTION! AND A SECOND ONE! AND A THIRD! THE PUNCHES JUST KEEP COMING AS MYLES CAN BARELY DEFEND HIMSELF! METHUSELAH KNEES MYLES IN THE MIDSECTION NOW, AND NOW I THINK METHUSELAH IS PLANNING TO JUST FINISH THIS AS HE PULLS MYLES INTO THE FRONT FACELOCK! HELLFI-
Rich Russillo: WAIT, MYLES SHOVES METHUSELAH OFF OF HIM!!! MYLES RUNS IN, BUT METHUSELAH DUCKS UNDER THE CLOTHESLINE ATTEMPT BEFORE LIFTING MYLES INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY! MYLES SLIPS BEHIND METHUSELAH BEFORE PUSHING HIM INTO THE ROPES- WAIT!!! VICTORIA!!! VICTORIA CONNECTS, AND METHUSELAH FALLS BACK INTO THE ROPES, ALLOWING MYLES TO TANGLE METHUSELAH’S ARMS IN THE ROPES!!! THIS IS THE KIND OF OPENING MYLES NEEDED!!!! MYLES RUNS THE ROPES, BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A RUNNING KNEE STRIKE!!! MYLES RUNS THE ROPES AGAIN, AND HE HITS ANOTHER KNEE STRIKE!!!! MYLES RUNNING THE ROPES AGAIN, AND THERE’S A THIRD!!!!
James Peters: Myles can keep this up for as long as he wants, Methuselah can’t escape as long as his arms are trapped! Myles runs the ropes again, AND THERE’S A FOURTH RUNNING KNEE IN A ROW!!! MYLES RUNS THE ROPES ONCE MORE, AND THERE’S A FIFTH!!!! IT LOOKS LIKE MYLES HAS ONE MORE IN MIND- BUT HE DOESN’T GET IT????
Rich Russillo: LOOK!!! METHUSELAH MANAGED TO FREE ONE OF HIS ARMS, AND THANKS TO THIS HE WAS ABLE TO LIFT MYLES OVER THE TOP ROPE!!! MYLES MANAGED TO LAND ON THE APRON THOUGH, RIGHT BEHIND METHUSELAH!!!
Persephone: METHUSELAH LANDS A BACK ELBOW, STOPPING MYLES FROM CAPITALIZING OFF OF LANDING ON THE APRON! Methuselah now trying to free his arm, BUT MYLES GRABS THE ARM BEFORE BEGINNING TO ELBOW THE SIDE OF METHUSELAH’S HEAD!! THE REFEREE STARTS COUNTING FOR MYLES THANKS TO THE ROPE BREAK- BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S NOT GOING TO MATTER AS METHUSELAH MANAGES TO HIT MYLES WITH A BACK HEADBUTT, SENDING THE BACK OF HIS OWN HEAD INTO MYLES’ FOREHEAD!! MYLES IS BARELY HANGING ONTO THE TOP ROPE, AND NOW METHUSELAH FINALLY FREES HIS ARM BEFORE TURNING AROUND AND HITTING MYLES WITH A FOREARM!
James Peters: Methuselah getting Myles into a suplex position, BUT MYLES MANAGES TO FREE HIS RIGHT ARM AND PUNCH METHUSELAH, ALLOWING MYLES TO LAND ON THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE! Methuselah runs in, but Myles manages to kick him away before pulling himself up to the top rope! Myles now seemingly prepared for a diving maneuver, AND MYLES GOES FOR A DIVING CLOTHESLINE- BUT METHUSELAH CATCHES HIM WITH A SPINEBUSTER!! MYLES IS DOWN, AND NOW IS METHUSELAH’S CHANCE TO CAPITALIZE!!! I’d say I’m not sure how Methuselah is even in this match after that insane barrage of knee strikes, but look who we’re talking about right now!
Rich Russillo: Methuselah pulls Myles up into a double underhook, AND I DON’T THINK HE’S LOOKING FOR THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT THIS TIME AROUND!!! METHUSELAH LIFTS MYLES UP FOR THE MK DRIVER- BUT MYLES MANAGES TO PULL HIMSELF DOWN, TAKING METHUSELAH DOWN WITH AN ARM DRAG! METHUSELAH IS BACK UP IMMEDIATELY, BUT MYLES POPS UP, HITTING A DROPKICK THAT CAUSES METHUSELAH TO STUMBLE TOWARDS THE ROPES!!! MYLES NOW RUNNING IN AS HE LOOKS TO TAKE METHUSELAH OUT WITH A CLOTHESLINE OF HIS OWN- BUT METHUSELAH DUCKS UNDER IT, CAUSING MYLES TO BOUNCE OFF OF THE ROPES RIGHT INTO HIS GRASP!
Persephone: METHUSELAH GRABS MYLES FROM BEHIND AND HOOKS HIS ARM OVER HIS HEAD! METHUSELAH WITH A BACK SUPLEX- NO! MYLES FLIPS OVER HIM AND ONTO HIS FEET! MYLES WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX, BUT HE DOESN’T STOP THERE!!! HE HOLDS ONTO METHUSELAH WHILE GETTING BACK TO HIS FEET, AND HE SPINS HIM AROUND IN A RIPCORD MOTION BEFORE PULLING HIM INTO A FRONT FACELOCK, LIFTING HIM UP AND DROPPING HIM ONTO THE MAT WITH A BRAINBUSTER!!!! WAIT… WAIT WHAT?!?! MYLES STILL ISN’T FINISHED!!!! HE JUST ROLLED BACK TO HIS FEET AND NOW PULLS METHUSELAH UP WITH HIS HEAD BETWEEN MYLES’ LEGS, BEFORE LIFTING HIM UP AND PLANTING HIM WITH A POWERBOMB!!!! MYLES FINALLY WITH THE COVER!!!
ONE!
TW-
James Peters: METHUSELAH KICKS OUT BEFORE TWO- BUT MYLES MANAGES TO ROLL METHUSELAH OVER ONTO A KNEE BEFORE HE COULD FALL!! MYLES NOW WITH A KNEE STRIKE- WAIT NO!! METHUSELAH MOVED OUT OF THE WAY, AND NOW HE GRABS MYLES BY THE HEAD BEFORE DROPPING HIM WITH DEMOLITION!!!! I THINK METHUSELAH IS SLOWLY STARTING TO FEEL THE EFFECTS OF THIS MATCH AS THAT COUNT WAS MUCH CLOSER TO TWO THAN ANYTHING HE’S DEALT WITH UP TO THIS POINT, BUT IT MIGHT NOT MEAN ANYTHING NOW AS HE HOOKS THE LEGS TO DEFEAT THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION!!!!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!-
Rich Russillo: AND SOMEHOW, MYLES IS ABLE TO BARELY GET THE SHOULDER UP!!!! Surely both Elitists have to be beyond exhausted at this point! These two have thrown everything at each other, going for as many of their major moves as possible in an attempt to pick up the victory. Methuselah is just terrifying in a way we really don’t see very often, meanwhile Myles knows very well that he needs to throw everything he can at him if he wants the win.
Persephone: Methuselah is getting back to his feet, waiting in the corner of the ring for Myles to get back up to his feet. I think Methuselah might be setting up for his running spear, and with Myles’ condition there’s just no way he could really know that right now. In fact, he probably doesn’t even know where he is. Have we thought about stopping the match yet I get that this is supposed to be the main event and all but I think we should prioritize the wellbeing of our Voltage roster, which is exactly why I say-
James Peters: Just stop. Myles has finally made it to all fours, and it seems like he’s slowly forcing himself back up to his feet! That can’t be an easy task for him at this point in the match, but if there’s one thing Myles has always been, it’s resilient. He obviously doesn’t want to leave this match with a loss, especially with everything else that must be going through his head when it comes to both Minerva and his Tempest opponent, Samael! Myles has made it to a knee, though I have to say… I honestly think Myles should stay down, for his own sake!
Rich Russillo: MYLES GETS BACK TO HIS FEET!!
James Peters: AND METHUSELAH CHARGES IN!!! SPEEEEAAAARRRRRR!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: WAIT, NO!!!! ONCE AGAIN MYLES LEAPS OVER METHUSELAH, ONLY THIS TIME MYLES MANAGED TO PULL METHUSELAH DOWN INTO A SCHOOL BOY PIN!!!! MYLES DOESN’T KEEP THE PIN THOUGH, INSTEAD USING IT AS A TRANSITION AS HE SOMEHOW HAS CONTROL OVER METHUSELAH NOW!!!! MYLES GETS HIM IN THE PUMPHANDLE POSITION, AND NOW HE LIFTS HIM UP!!! DE FACTO!!!! DE FACTO CONNECTS, AND THAT’S GOTTA BE IT!!!! THAT’S GOTTA BE IT FOR METHUSELAH!!!! MYLES WASTES NO TIME GOING FOR THE COVER!!!!
ONE!
TWO!!
T-
Persephone: WHAT????
James Peters: METHUSELAH KICKS OUT!!!! METHUSELAH ISN’T FINISHED JUST YET!!!!! SOMEHOW METHUSELAH IS STILL IN THIS MATCH, SOMEHOW HE MANAGED TO SURVIVE DE FACTO, AND BECAUSE OF THAT THIS MATCH IS STILL ON!!!!
Rich Russillo: You’re right, but there’s one thing we really need to take note of, and it’s the fact that Methuselah only kicked out just after two! Myles has had such huge bursts of offense throughout this match, and if that continues he might just be able to pick up one of the biggest victories of his entire career!
Persephone: Well, Myles just got back up, and I’m not even sure what more he could do at this point, to be honest. Isn’t De Facto like his main finishing move? Any time he wins a match it’s with that, what else could he go for now that he knows Methuselah could take that and still kick out?
Rich Russillo: That’s a really good question… Wait a second. Myles just backed up into the corner, and now he’s the one waiting for Methuselah to get back up! I really don’t know what Myles could be thinking about here, but he’s clearly focused which tells me that he does have SOME kind of plan!
James Peters: Methuselah is using the turnbuckles to start pulling himself up, and I think you were right, Rich. This match is definitely starting to take its toll on him, and the fact that he had to use those turnbuckles to get up just shows the kind of damage that De Facto has clearly done! Methuselah can’t possibly have that much left in him after all that. He’s gotta be running on empty, AND NOW AS SOON AS HE GETS OUT OF THE CORNER, MYLES CHARGES IN BEFORE GOING FOR A SPEAR OF HIS OWN!!!!!
Rich Russillo: IF ANYONE WOULD KNOW THAT MOVE IT’S METHUSELAH THOUGH, WHICH MEANS THAT HE KNOWS EXACTLY HOW TO COUNTER IT!!! MYLES TRIED TO CATCH METHUSELAH WITH HIS OWN MOVE, BUT METHUSELAH AT THE LAST SECOND GOT OUT OF THE WAY, SENDING MYLES SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RING POST IN BETWEEN THE TURNBUCKLES! Myles definitely had a plan there, but it looks like it didn’t go exactly how it was supposed to! Methuselah now lifting Myles up, AND THERE’S THE SNAKE EYES, DROPPING MYLES FACE FIRST ONTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE AS HE’S BARELY EVEN CAPABLE OF STANDING AT THIS POINT!
Persephone: Well unfortunately for him, Methuselah doesn’t look like he’s finished! He just placed Myles on the top rope once again, only this time it doesn’t look like Myles is going to be able to fight out of it the same way he did last time these two were up there! Methuselah is on the middle rope once again, AND JUST TO MAKE SURE MYLES DOESN’T FIGHT OUT OF IT, HE BEGINS ELBOWING MYLES REPEATEDLY, BASICALLY BEATING HIM UNTIL HE CAN’T EVEN THINK OF FIGHTING BACK! METHUSELAH ISN’T EVEN STOPPING!!!
James Peters: WAIT A SECOND, LOOK!!! METHUSELAH IS HOOKING THE ARMS ONE MORE TIME, AND LIKE PERSEPHONE SAID, METHUSELAH DID ALL OF THAT SO MYLES WOULDN’T HAVE THE STRENGTH TO FIGHT BACK THE WAY HE DID IN THE PAST! METHUSELAH HAS THE DOUBLE UNDERHOOK APPLIED, AND THERE IT IS!!! THE SUPER BUTTERFLY EFFECT CONNECTS, AND METHUSELAH ROLLS THROUGH BEFORE LIFTING MYLES UP AND DROPPING HIM WITH THE EGO DEATH DRIVER FOR THE SECOND TIME!!!! METHUSELAH SLOWLY PULLS HIMSELF TOWARDS MYLES, GETTING HIS ARMS OVER THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION FOR THE COVER!!! I THINK THAT’S GOTTA BE IT, THERE’S JUST NO WAY ANYONE COULD KICK OUT OF ALL THAT!!!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
Rich Russillo: Wait.. Did he, HE DID!!!! MYLES JUST BARELY PUSHED HIS SHOULDER OFF OF THE MAT!!!! THE REFEREE WAS JUST ABOUT TO HIT THE MAT FOR THE THIRD TIME BUT MYLES GOT HIS SHOULDER PROBABLY ONLY TWO INCHES OFF OF THE MAT!!! MYLES IS STILL IN THIS MATCH, IT’S SOMEHOW GOING TO TAKE EVEN MORE THAN THAT TO PUT MYLES DOWN TONIGHT!!! This is insane! Somehow Myles has managed to keep fighting through major move after major move, now two of them back to back! What a performance by the Champion!
James Peters: Yeah, but that performance may be getting cut short! Methuselah slowly rolls off of Myles, but with that look on his face, I’m not exactly sure what he’s thinking. It doesn’t look like anger or joy, instead he has an almost blank expression on his face as he starts getting back to his feet! Methuselah grabs Myles by the arms, AND NOW HE JUST BEGINS STOMPING ON HIM!!!! METHUSELAH DELIVERING REPEATED STOMPS TO THE FACE AND THE MIDSECTION, AND WITH EVERYTHING ELSE METHUSELAH HAS GONE FOR IN THIS MATCH, HE HAS TO BE DOING THIS FOR A REASON!
Rich Russillo: OF COURSE IT’S FOR A REASON, HE’S DOING THIS TO MAKE SURE MYLES CAN’T GET BACK UP ON HIS OWN!!! METHUSELAH CONTINUING TO STOMP ON MYLES, ONLY NOW ALL OF THE STOMPS SEEM TO BE DIRECTED TOWARDS MYLES’ MIDSECTION!!!! METHUSELAH SLOWLY PULLS MYLES UP- BUT MYLES SOMEHOW USES WHATEVER’S LEFT IN HIM TO THROW A RIGHT HAND, HITTING METHUSELAH! Methuselah stumbles back for a bit.. AND NOW HE KICKS MYLES IN THE MIDSECTION! MYLES NOW WITH AN UPPERCUT, BUT METHUSELAH RESPONDS WITH A KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION NOW! METHUSELAH NOW SHOVING MYLES INTO THE ROPES, BEFORE BOUNCING OFF OF THE OPPOSITE PAIR AND GOING FOR A-
Persephone: WOAH!!!
James Peters: WHAT THE HELL!?!?
Rich Russillo: SOMEONE JUST SLID IN THE RING AND LAID OUT BOTH MEN WITH A DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!!! IS THAT….? IT IS!!!! IT’S THERON NIKOLAS!!!!! THERON NIKOLAS IS HERE!!!
James Peters: THERON NIKOLAS IS HERE, AND HE JUST RUINED THIS MAIN EVENT MATCH!!!! THERON NIKOLAS NOW TURNING HIS ATTENTION TO METHUSELAH AS HE DROPS DOWN AND STARTS SENDING LEFTS AND RIGHTS!!! THE REFEREE WAS JUST CAUGHT OFF GUARD BY THIS WHOLE SITUATION, BUT NOW THEY FINALLY CALL FOR THE BELL!!! THIS MATCH IS OVER!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: THIS MATCH HAS ENDED IN A NO CONTEST, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THAT DOESN’T SEEM TO BE WHAT WE SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT RIGHT NOW!! THERON NIKOLAS IS BEATING THE HELL OUT OF METHUSELAH AFTER SUCH A GRUELING MATCH- BUT METHUSELAH IS ABLE TO FIGHT BACK, GETTING ON TOP OF THERON BEFORE CONNECTING WITH PUNCHES OF HIS OWN!
Rich Russillo: THERON NIKOLAS PUSHES METHUSELAH OFF OF HIM, LANDING A KICK TO THE HEAD THAT SENDS METHUSELAH ROLLING UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE!!! METHUSELAH IS ABLE TO QUICKLY GRAB THERON BY THE LEG THOUGH, PULLING HIM OUT OF THE RING BEFORE PUNCHING HIM IN THE FACE! THINGS HAVE BECOME HEATED BETWEEN THESE TWO IN RECORD TIME, AND THIS HAS ALL BLOWN UP IN OUR VOLTAGE MAIN EVENT!
Persephone: METHUSELAH HITS THERON WITH ANOTHER PUNCH, BUT THERON RUNS IN AND RAMS METHUSELAH INTO THE RING POST!
James Peters: Methuselah uses the apron to get back up, AND THERON KICKS HIM IN THE MIDSECTION, CAUSING HIM TO STUMBLE BACK!!! THERON GOES FOR A RIGHT HAND- BUT METHUSELAH CATCHES IT BEFORE GRABBING THERON AND SENDING HIM INTO THE BARRICADE NEAR THE RAMP!!! These two are just brawling around the arena at this point!
Rich Russillo: METHUSELAH RUNS AT THERON- AND THERON LANDS A BACK ELBOW TO THE MIDSECTION BEFORE SLAMMING METHUSELAH’S FACE ONTO THE TOP OF THE BARRICADE! THERON STARTS TO DO IT REPEATEDLY- BUT METHUSELAH FINALLY BREAKS FREE BEFORE LANDING A HUGE RIGHT HAND!
James Peters: Theron stumbles up the ramp, BUT HE RUSHES BACK BEFORE HITTING METHUSELAH WITH A FOREARM SMASH! THERON NOW WITH A KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION! THERON WITH A LEFT NOW, AND HE GOES FOR ANOTHER RIGHT- BUT METHUSELAH DUCKS UNDER IT BEFORE HITTING THERON WITH A HEADBUTT!! THESE TWO ARE STILL GOING AT IT SOMEHOW!
(While the brawl continues, Myles uses the ropes to pull himself back up. He’s still exhausted after the match, but as he sees the ongoing brawl between Methuselah and Theron Nikolas, he just shakes his head.)
James Peters: It’s a shame that the main event had to end like that. This was a fantastic match by Myles and Methuselah, and-
Rich Russillo: WOAH WOAH WOAH!!! LOOK OUT MYLES!!!
(The fans immediately grow louder, many of them starting to boo. The camera cuts to Myles, and it becomes apparent that there’s somebody behind him. Very quickly, he turns around.)
James Peters: MYLES IS GRABBED BY THE THROAT, AND HE’S DROPPED WITH A CHOKESLAM BY SAMAEL!!!
Rich Russillo: SAMAEL IS HERE, AND HE JUST DROPPED MYLES WITH A CHOKESLAM!!! THESE TWO ARE SET TO FACE OFF AT TEMPEST, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE SAMAEL IS AIMING TO SEND A MESSAGE HEADING INTO IT!!!!
James Peters: SAMAEL GRABS MYLES AND PULLS HIM UP BEFORE GETTING HIM IN POSITION!!! R.I.P!!!!!! R.I.P CONNECTS, AND MYLES IS DOWN AND OUT!!!!
Rich Russillo: Samael just made his presence known in a major way, and these are the four competitors involved in the first two matches confirmed for Tempest! Just how are these matches going to end!?
James Peters: That’s a good question, especially with what just happened tonight. Will we see a new EAW World Champion!?
(Samael stands over his Tempest opponent and the EAW World Champion Myles as all of the fans in the arena continue to boo. The boos are completely ignored as the former 24/7 Contract Holder only looks down at Myles, before slowly beginning to look up, staring directly at the camera. This is the last image shown for the night, as Voltage begins to fade to black for the final time.)
(EAW logo buzzes.)
