(Showdown opens up with a recap of everything that happened in Road to Redemption from Showdown’s side. Usagi Senshi defeats ARIA in Trip to Purgatory after getting some help from Pandora. Team Showdown is unsuccessful in beating Team Voltage in the four people tag team match. After a very heated and tough battle, Veena Adams is able to get one over Jon Kelton and regain the National Elite Championship to her name. Adam Lucas is able to overcome the odds and come out the EEC still the Answers World Champion. Raven Roberts and Madison Kaline are able to defeat Halsey Neel and Pandora Paisley after ARIA interferes as well to get revenge on Pandora.)
(The recap ends, and it is replaced with the song “Brick Wall” by a Day to Remember, as the camera pans around the inside of Coliseo Eduardo Dibós in Lima, Peru. Blue fireworks are shooting out of the stage and the Showdown crowd can be seen cheering in excitement. The camera ends up panning over to the commentary table with Deadprez, Eve and Gavin Kirkland as the commentators.)
Eve: Welcome everybody…TO SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN!!!
Gavin Kirkland: BIENVENIDOS AS THEY SAY HERE IN PERU!
Deadprez: WE ARE COMING OFF AN INCREDIBLY INSANE ROAD TO REDEMPTION, AS WE NOW HEAD INTO THE NEW YEAR OF 2024 AND WE FORMERLY START THINGS OFF FOR KING OF ELITE!
Eve: Just as Deadprez said, we have a lot of things planned here for tonight! We got a battle of rookies as Daniella Atlas fights off against Zaraguzen, Solomon Stane faces Damien Kutcher in the 1st Round of the King of Elite Tournament, as well as Madison Kaline fighting against Clayton Golde.
Deadprez: We also got a fatal four way for a N1C at the National Elite Championship, Kasai vs Delilah Rose vs Nikki Kimura vs Ashlynn Quinn! And in the main event, Jon Kelton facing off against Kirk Redwood in another 1st Round of the King of Elite Tournament.

Deadprez: SOMETHING IS HAPPENING IN THE PARKING LOT!
Eve: Quick, tune into the cameraman in the scene!
(The feed of Showdown suddenly changed in an abrupt manner towards a cameraman rushing through the hallways of the arena before pushing through some doors and arriving at the parking lot, quickly turning toward two women brawling between each other!)
Eve: IT IS ARIA AND PANDORA PAISLEY! THE TWO WOMEN ARE BRAWLING OUT HERE IN THE PARKING LOT JUST BEFORE THE SHOW IS EVEN ABLE TO START!
Deadprez: After everything that has happened between these two women since the start of season, it would be surprising if they weren’t doing this kind of thing!
Gavin Kirkland: NOOOO, DON’T MAKE ME CHOOSE BETWEEN MY DETECTIVE AND MY HELLCAT!
Eve: THE TWO OF THEM ARE PULLING AT EACH OTHER’S HAIR AND THROWING FISTS AND FOREARMS! THEY ARE SLAMMING EACH OTHER INTO WALLS AND CARS IN THE PARKING LOT!
Gavin Kirkland: PANDEMONIUM IS GOING DOWN RIGHT NOW AS THEY JUST KNOCK EVERYTHING OVER AND START THROWING EACH OTHER ANYTHING THEY CAN FIND! TRASH CANS, BASEBALL BATS LYING AROUND, EVEN A TIRE IRON???
Eve: IT WAS THEN THAT ARIA GOES FOR AN OPENING, RUNNING AND TRYING TO HIT PANDORA IN THE FACE WITH A SUPERKICK!
Deadprez: PANDORA MOVES TO THE SIDE AND THEN SHE TRIES TO SCRATCH RIGHT AT ARIA’S FACE!
Eve: BUT ARIA GOES LOW, DUCKING AND GRABBING ONTO PANDORA, LIFTING HER UP AND THEN HITTING A SPINEBUSTER ON HER INTO THE HOOD OF ONE OF THE CARS!
Gavin Kirkland: AND NOW MY DETECTIVE IS JUST STARTING TO SLAM PANDORA’S HEAD INTO THE HOOD REPEATEDLY, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! SHE IS SHOWING NO MERCY AT ALL AS SOUNDS OF MY HELLCAT’S HEAD BEING SMASHED AGAINST THE CAR CONTINUE TO BE HEARD AROUND THE PARKING LOT!
Deadprez: ARIA PULLS PANDORA OFF AND THEN GRABS ONTO HER HAIR, AND SHE LINES HER HEAD UP… CLOSE TO ONE OF THE CAR WINDOWS?! ARIA IS GOING TO SMASH PANDORA’S HEAD RIGHT THROUGH THE CAR WINDOW! WHAT HAS GOTTEN INTO ARIA?!
Eve: SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAT WE HAVE SEEN FROM HER EVER SINCE WHAT HAPPENED WITH USAGI SENSHI! SHE PULLS PANDORA FORWARD AND IS GOING TO-
Gavin Kirkland: NO, WAIT, LUCKILY THE REFEREES AND SECURITY GUARDS ARRIVE JUST IN TIME BEFORE ARIA IS ABLE TO SMASH PANDORA’S HEAD THROUGH THE WINDOW! They rush over and try her best to calm her down, and prevent her from doing something stupid and that she will regret!
Eve: It seems that the words are able to get towards ARIA, as she ends up throwing Pandora a bit further down, slamming her back into the car door instead while ARIA takes some time to raise her voice and shout directly at Pandora something!
ARIA: (off-mic) You want to interfere in something that doesn’t involve you? You want to interfere in MY LIFE?! THEN I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE YOU FORGET WHAT LIVING IN PEACE IS FROM NOW ON, YOU BITCH!
(ARIA is pushed away a bit by the referees and she backs up a bit as her expression is just completely full of anger and no signs of regret in her eyes, as one referee in particular kneels down to check on Pandora, as she winces from the pain in the back of her head, but it doesn’t stop her at all from still throwing a comment back towards ARIA.)
Pandora Paisley: (off-mic) Piss off, flower-
Eve: ARIA RUNS BACK AND PUSHES THE REFEREE OUT OF THE WAY, GRABBING ONTO PANDORA ONCE MORE AND PULLING HER TOWARDS HER, AS SHE SUDDENLY LIFTS PANDORA UP ONTO HER SHOULDERS-
Deadprez: AND THEN ARIA POWERBOMBS PANDORA DIRECTLY ONTO THE GLASS WINDSHIELD OF THE CAR!!!
Gavin Kirkland: THAT WAS REAL GLASS FROM A CAR RIGHT THERE!!!
Eve: PANDORA’S FACE TURNS INTO ONE OF COMPLETE PAIN AS SHE BITES HER TONGUE AND GRITS HER TEETH FROM FEELING ALL OF THE SHARDS OF GLASS DIG INTO HER BACK!
Gavin Kirkland: AND ARIA DOESN’T CARE A SINGLE BIT, EVEN IF PANDORA WOULD CRY A RIVER RIGHT NOW!
Eve: And it seems she pushed a bit too far, as security guards quickly surround her now and force her to leave the premises for now, with ARIA finally relenting after achieving what she needed to do and quickly turning her back on everyone, walking away from what happened.
Deadprez: Several referees slowly pull Pandora away from the windshield and try to help her up to her feet, but she pushes them away and tells them she can walk herself.
(Pandora’s expression is full of anger and frustration as well due to what just happened right now, and seeing ARIA just walk away like nothing happened at all, something that she would never expect for ARIA to do, despite that, she still let out her usual Cheshire smile once it settled for her what happened. This would be very interesting.)
Eve: It seems now that Pandora and some referees head back inside to go and check on her wounds to make sure she is alright.
Deadprez: What a chaotic start to open things up for Showdown, huh?
Gavin Kirkland: Sure it was! Now, where was I? LET’S GET RIGHT ON WITH THE SHO-
Deadprez: We have been right on with the show already, Gavin.
Gavin Kirland: Oh. :mjcry:
Eve: But let’s kick off with the first match of the night at least!
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING IS THE OPENING CONTEST OF SATURDAY SHOWDOWN AND IS SET FOR ONE FALL!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
(“Bloodline” by Northlane begins to play over the speakers as Daniella Atlas makes her way out of the curtain. She takes a moment to look over the crowd as the music continues to play. As she surveys the scene Gina chimes in.)
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST….HAILING FROM DUNKIRK, FRANCE…WEIGHING IN AT 121 POUNDS….SHE IS “THE BLACK FLAME”…..DAAAAAAANIELLLLLAAAAAA AAAAAAAAATTTLAAAAASSSS!
(A loud roar for the resident anti-hero overtakes the once hushed murmurs of the crowd. Daniella marches towards the ring, never taking her eyes off of the squared-circle. She enters the ring and strikes one last post as “Bloodline” is quickly replaced by “Spanish Flea” By Herb Alpert.)
(Zaraguzen enters the arena and the crowd becomes unglued. Zaraguzen takes a moment to look around the crowd as the music continues to play. As the oddly endearing Elitist makes their way to the ring, Gina can be heard with her introduction.)
Gina Romano: AND HER OPPONENT….HAILING FROM SHADOW REALM, OHIO…WEIGHING IN AT 200 POUNDS….HE IS “VERY SPOOKY, VERY SANE”….HE IS ZAAAAAAAARRRRRRRAAAAAAGUUUUZZZEEEENNNN!!!!
(The crowd’s cheers billow out as Zaraguzen enters the ring and strikes one last pose. The lights return to the arena and both competitors return to their corners.)

Eve: Here we go! Zaraguzen vs Daniella Atlas is underway!
Gavin Kirkland: Tie-up between both of these eccentric Elitists. Looks like Zaraguzen may have the upperhand with a headlock… Atlas backing the “Spooky” one into the ropes, sending him across the ring….
Deadprez: SHE FOLLOWED UP WITH A BICYCLE KICK TO THE FACE!
Eve: Atlas pulling Zaraguzen to the middle of the ring looking for a suplex of some kind… perhaps a falcon arrow…
Gavin Kirkland: Zaraguzen slips out the back, dropkick to the back sends Daniella stumbling… Zaraguzen may be looking for something big… SNAP POWER— NO!!! Daniella stopped in her tracks and the “Very Sane” one hits the canvas.
Deadprez: OH! Zarguzen hits an uppercut to the jaw of Daniella as she bent down to grab him. Smart move!
Eve: Zaraguzen back to his feet, looking to get some kind of advantage… looking to grab Daniella by the head…
Gavin Kirkland: She ducks and delivers a Scorpion Kick to the dome of Zaraguzen… might have just birthed a new voice in this man’s head.
Eve: Zaraguzen is rocked, BICYCLE KICK BY ATLAS… ZARAGUZEN GOING FOR A PUNCH… MISS… NORTHERN LIGHTS!
Deadprez: Tossing that boy like he’s yesterday’s garbage!
Gavin Kirkland: Now she’s following up… pulling Zaraguzen to his feet… Go behind… Tiger Su— NO!
Eve: Reversal by Zaraguzen going for a German Suplex… Atlas holds her ground, taking a swing but Zaraguzen keeps the upperhand, SUPLEX DRIVES DANIELLA TO THE CANVAS…
Gavin: Now this psychopath is back to his feet, strikes a pose and delivers an elbow drop to the chest… and another… and another… maybe he’s looking for a fourth… BUT ATLAS WITH AN UPKICK TO THE BASE OF THE ELBOW! ZARAGUZEN ROLLING OUT OF THE RING, CLUTCHING HIS ARM…

Eve: The striking proficiency and accuracy of Daniella Atlas is on full display tonight, and that counter showed it.
Gavin Kirkland: Atlas is measuring her opponent… off the ropes… Baseball Sli— WHAT THE HELL! ZARAGUZEN JUST DELIVERED THAT NASTY RIGHT HAND TO THE FACE OF DANIELLA ATLAS!!!!

Deadprez: Zaraguzen pulling her up but he’s struggling.
Gavin Kirkland: Daniella is dead weight…Zaraguzen gets her back in the ring following up… COVER!!!

Eve: Dropkick to the chest of Daniella… followed up by a suplex… and he’s measuring…
Gavin Kirkland: Pulling her onto his shoulders… going for Very Stupid, Very Delusional… but Daniella slips out the back… forearm… another… and a spinning back elbow… towards the ropes but Zaraguzen has a hold of her attire…

Deadprez: Double knees to the face… hooking the legs…

Eve: Atlas is reaching for the ropes… trying desperately to get the entirety of Zaraguzen’s weight and her own all the way across the ring… Zaraguzen is cranking as hard as he possibly can but Daniella is still dragging both of them towards the ropes…
Deadprez: REAAAAAAAAACHING… ATLAS MAKES IT TO THE ROPES! BUT ZARAGUZEN ISN’T BREAKING!

Eve: Bouncing Daniella like a basketball and looking to get her weakened enough for any of his big moves…

Deadprez: Apparently they got clips the same size as most action movies!
Gavin Kirkland: Zaraguzen looks to pull Atlas back to her feet, up onto the shoulders… looking for Very Stupid, Very Delusional… but Daniella just caught his knee and delivered a kick straight to the inner thigh… stepping back… SHE GOT A BICYCLE!
Eve: The bicycle kick connects once again by “The Angel of Dunkirk” sending her opponent stumbling into the ropes… he rebounds right into a spinning back elbow… and another grab… FALCON ARROW!!! DRIVING ZARAGUZEN DOWN TO THE MAT WITH AUTHORITY! ZARAGUZEN IS IN TROUBLE BUT ATLAS ISN’T GOING FOR THE PIN!
Gavin Kirkland: It might not be enough… both of these competitors have proven that the only way this match is going to end is when one of these two put their opponent away with their finisher.

Eve: You’ve got that right Prez, but even that might not stop these two.
Gavin Kirkland: Daniella is getting up to the top rope… looking for that Missile Dropkick again… but Zaraguzen is out of the way, wringing the arm… LA MAGISTRAL!!!!

Eve: Zaraguzen collapses behind the apron and the referee is up to a count of 5 already.
Gavin Kirkland: Daniella doing the smart thing, rolling back into the ring to break the count. Now she’s going to pull Zaraguzen out from under the ring… but she’s met with an up-kick from “Very Spooky, Very Sane,” he’s getting back to his feet and delivers a suplex on the floor to Atlas, driving the air out of “The Black Flame!”
Eve: Another shift in momentum here as Zaraguzan tosses Daniella back into the ring… Attempting to get this match over with.
Deadprez: He may not be fully done Daniella is back to her feet… but Zaraguzen doesn’t hold back as he delivers a kick to the stomach… Dropping to his back… SLAP!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Back to his feet now… ENZUIGIRI!!! NOW HE HAS HER BY THE THROAT… CHOKESLAM!

(Backstage transitions to Kennedy Street’s office as she stands there with Alana Starr, her second in command and taking over while Heidi Huxley recovers from being blinded by Caroline. Kennedy admires the Showdown brackets for the King of Elite with the gorgeous Alana Starr.)
Alana Starr: I must admit, Kennie, you really outdid yourself this time, the mix of wrestlers that you have for this King of Elite bracket is pretty amaze balls. I mean, this is a GOOD bracket.
Kennedy Street: Well honey, after being at this for over a year, Kennie would definitely get it right. I mean, look at this bracket and you can see that we have some serious contenders here. Last year I brought the crown home to Showdown and Kennie plans on doing it again, but this year we needed a little mix here, some incredible main event talent mixed in with the newer blood to give them the chance to shine and see who could be the representative for Showdown.
(Kennedy and Alana admire the bracket somewhat, we see AJAX standing in the corner. Kennedy looks over Alana as they both smile. She turns around and faces the camera.)
Kennedy Street: So, Kennie guesses that the fans of the EAW and Showdown would like to know the bracket for the Showdown portion of the King of Elite and once again the Blue brand will definitely have the Elitist who will be the one wearing the crown! Now, I have already announced two matches that will happen tonight, matter of fact, the first one is right after this. So here are the matches. Alana, Kennie will give you the honors.
Alana Starr: Oh…. Kennie thank you so much! Okay so anyway! Here are the brackets. In the first round we have Jon Kelton versus Kirk Redwood which is the Main Event tonight! The winner of this match will then go on to face the winner of next week’s match between Daryl Kinkade and Mattias Burke! Then right after the reveal here in just a few minutes, we have none other than the very dangerous Solomon Stane taking on the talented newcomer, Damien Kutcher! The winner of that match will then have to face next week’s main event match between PJ Hendrx and Scott Diamond! This is an amazing tournament, and we are soooo excited!

Gina Romano: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH… SOOOOOLOOOOOMAAAAAAAAN!! STANE!
DeadPrez: That was an amazing back-and-forth between these two elitists. At various moments throughout it seemed as if either one could have walked away with the victory. Despite the outcome of this match, absolutely no one has anything to hang their head down about. This one genuinely seemed as if it could go either way, and although its Solomon Stane advancing on to the next round, I’d be remiss if I didn’t say the future is very bright for Damien Kutcher.
Eve: I couldn’t agree with you more, ‘Prez. Both elitists left it all in the ring here tonight and in the end, only one of them could win. Tonight was simply Solomon’s night. Congratulations to him and good luck in the next round.
Gavin Kirkland: I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY ROBBED MY BOY BLIND! THIS IS UNJUST AND EVERYONE INVOLVED WILL BE PERSECUTED ACCORDINGLY. THE KUTCH-FAM DOESN’T FORGET OR FORGIVE!
( The final shot is of Solomon Stane standing atop the ramp with a smirk on his face before the camera fades elsewhere. )
(Kyra Phillips appears backstage, as the show moved on from elsewhere, clenching a microphone in her hand. She began to speak.)
Kyra Phillips: Ladies and gentlemen, I am here conducting an interview with a team that had quite the eventful Road To Redemption, in whatever circumstances you wanna put it, IDOL-Gun!
(IDOL-Gun appeared on the screen next to Kyra, Hikari Kanno and Miku Sakai didn’t look exactly enthusiastic about things. Kyra acknowledged that, and wanted to get the hard questions out quickly.)
Kyra Phillips: Well, Road To Redemption could have gone better for you guys, especially Hikari, who was on the outside looking in. But I want to ask Miku first, after a tumultuous time you have had, coming in second place repeatedly, what do you think you can change?
Miku Sakai: Man, shit just isn’t going my fucking way right now, I have been finding that success, but it’s also being ripped away from me. It actually psychically makes my stomach hurt like.
(Miku held her stomach, as if it was grumbling in pain, before she went back to speaking.)
Miku Sakai: But I’m not giving up yet, because I still think that I can’t keep coming in second place over and over again, cause damn that would just be unlucky as shit. I think that Road To Redemption was good grounding for me to get my shit back together. For us to get back on track, as well. Looking ahead at better horizons; we got this Kyra.
Kyra Phillips: Well those are well spoken words, Miku. But Hikari, things haven’t been as special for you. Did it hurt knowing that an opportunity to get IDOL-Gun back on track was missed, with you on the outside looking in?
Hikari Kanno: So, I can’t say I didn’t feel a bit down, missing out on Road To Redemption, an event as big as it? Hurts. It’s definitely a kick to my ego, as I wanted to do a whole lot more in terms of that event. I found myself with time to recoup however, and I just wanna make sure Miku knows, as we dawn onto the new year, my weight is going to be pulled a whole lot more, from now on. I want to make that a promise, my failures will be left in 2023. As I swear anew.
(Hikari raised her hand in the air, as she was swearing under oath, rewriting her prior mistakes, and making sure her leaf was turned. Kyra nodded her head.)
Kyra Phillips: Well, that is good in order to get back on track, but-
(As Kyra was speaking. Miku would then interrupt her, as she had a heavy look of concern on her face, coming to Hikari, her arms crossed.)
Miku Sakai: Actually, I really wanted to talk about this, cause shit hasn’t been rolling well with IDOL-Gun, and it’s like what the fuck?? Ever since we agreed to get shit back on track after all that went down, we were supposed to be going full throttle to the moon. But yet, we sound like broken fucking records everytime we fail.
Hikari Kanno: Yes, look. I do realize how bad it sounds, but optimism shouldn’t be entirely lost, you are too quick to be discouraged, and give up on things a little bit too quickly. You have to just be patient, I know that we’ll get back on top shortly. We are entering a new atmosphere next year, everything starts with a cleanslate. There’s room for improvement these past couple months, but now it gets better.
Miku Sakai: I wanna give myself that assurance but like, what the fuck? life comes at you fast, and then we’re having conversations with Candice Blair, trying to find a spot on Road To Redemption? I was JUST facing Minerva in the iconic cup finals, this shit is kinda depressing motherfucker, reassurance is nice, but do you know it is easier to reassure, than actually change things?
Hikari Kanno: Look, I have a question Miku, is some of the stuff that you’re saying only resorted to your own selfishness? It seems as if a lot of what your concerns happen to be, is focused on where you are headed. Are you really in this game for IDOL-Gun? Or are you just in it, wanting to secure a few more accolades to your name, so you can go down in the history books more than you already have. I really want to believe you’re in this for IDOL-Gun, Miku.
Miku Sakai: HEY WOAH, WOAH, you’re overstepping the boundaries here, you need to just calm down man, because what the he-
Hikari Kanno: With the concern in your voice, it’s telling me enough of what I already need to hear. Not all the blame can be shifted towards me anyways, when I wasn’t even present, you still failed at completing the task ahead of you. Come on Miku, be sensible for just a moment, alright? Can you do that for me?
Miku Sakai: Nah, don’t try to turn this shit around on me, chill out now. Look, I want us to THRIVE. Like legit, I have bet half of my career on this tag team, you really think I’m about to back out? I want individual success, just as much as I want IDOL-Gun to succeed as well. I want to be coming up in first place as well, but I also want the Hikari Kanno that came in first place too! You’re not rolling with the punches like you once were, you kinda went soft. You aren’t making these people know what the fuck is up! Where’s the old Hikari at?!?!?
(Miku asked the question, but Hikari didn’t have an answer she wanted to give her. With the tension at an all time high, Hikari just walked off. Miku looked at Kyra.)
Miku Sakai: What the fuck!??! It’s not even 2024 yet, and shit is already going to shit!
(Miku stormed off angry as well, as the scene fades to ringside after an ad for King of Elite 2024.)
(As Showdown came back from commercials, ‘Old Scars/Future Hearts’ by All Time Low started playing on the speakers and the audience came unglued out of their seats, all of them starting to cheer loudly for the music of the woman that was about to come out at this moment, the titantron glowing a dark purple for a moment and the lights dimming for a bit before Raven Roberts came out with a confident and determined smile and the lights around the arena shined bright once she made her presence known.)
Eve: And we are here once again welcomed by the presence of Raven Roberts! I am still shocked by her still coming back after all these years and doing what she always does best, wrestle! A former New Breed Champion, Tag Team Champion, Cash in the Vault Holder and Universal Women’s Champion, for the new viewers that aren’t very familiar with her, that is what this woman has been able to accomplish here in EAW.
Deadprez: She has been away for a long time and she came back to help out Madison Kaline deal with the British Invasion and then defeat Halsey Neel and Pandora Paisley at Road to Redemption, of course, something else completely different as well in that match that brought the win to Madison and Raven, but the two of them were able to prosper either way and Raven came back with a successful win both in this match and at the Christmas Show as well, as now we are going to hear about what she is going to do now in her future.
(Raven didn’t waste any time walking down the ramp and she took in all of the support and cheers of the crowd, she was even kind enough to high five a few people in the front row as she came down, she quickly went up the steel steps and passed through the ropes, turning around and standing in the center of the ring with a small smile on her face, her theme song finally dies down and the crowd continues to cheer loudly for her, as she quickly motions with her hand to tell the people to calm down so she can talk, and then slowly speaks into the microphone.)
Raven Roberts: Coming out here and getting welcomed by all of you will never get tiring, that is for sure.
(The crowd cheers for a bit as Raven nods a bit with a smile still on her face as she continues talking.)
Raven Roberts: I still feel a bit in disbelief standing in an EAW ring once more, I never thought that I would stand here and be able to have the opportunity to talk with all of you one more time, it brings a lot of joy to my heart to say the least, it has been a very wild past few weeks and it is still a bit hard for everything to process right away, but I am very confident in saying that me and my partner were able to succeed in our mission and be able to knock Devolution down a peg, sadly, I know how these types of groups go and it is inevitable that they aren’t going to go away just because of one loss, they already took a huge one at The Last Stand and somehow, they are still here, but I think me and Madison did a good enough job to leave a message towards them, that you don’t FUCK with someone like Raven Roberts.
Raven Roberts: Now, you are probably wondering to yourselves, well, I ended up achieving what I wanted to do, I ended up helping out Madison and we ended up taking the victory against Devolution, that all of you probably expect me to suddenly disappear once more and go back into a nest somewhere up in the mountains where none of you will ever hear of me once more, so let me be as honest as I can be towards this… I ended up leaving EAW because I wanted a break, I wanted to just step away and simply reevaluate how I would go at my life going forward without wrestling, my husband ended up taking that break alongside me and I just went on life living as a normal person would, not sacrificing your body and almost killing yourself in the process for a championship, it felt boring at times, it felt like I was just forced to kill time, but that is how life always worked and I went through it that way, my life always had many ups and downs, many horrible things happen to me since I was very young so finally having a peaceful life with a stable income, it felt new but weird, but then after seeing Rex come back, after seeing what was happening with Madison, ever since I first arrived, ever since the Beating Hearts of Voltage, ever since I stood side to side by my husband, I always stood up against injustice and abuse of power, I said enough was enough and I came back to remind everyone who I truly am.
Raven Roberts: And it feels like in that journey back here, I regained something back, the passion to get up on this stage and fight for yourself and the people that you love every single day, so if you think that this is the last you are going to see of Raven Roberts then you are absolutely wrong. I AM STAYING IN EAW!
(The crowd lets out incredibly loud cheers once Raven states that she isn’t leaving just yet and her smile grows a bit more seeing all of the support as she quickly follows up.)
Raven Roberts: That victory over The British Invasion was very meaningful to me, because there was a tiny part inside of me that I would have lost a step, that I would have let ring rust get to me and that I would not be able to live up to the expectations of everybody but I came out of that match completely confident on the fact that none of what makes Raven Roberts the woman that she is has been lost, as well as being able to get inside of that ring with the love of my life, and go all out with him to be able to beat La Familia, I didn’t really know what to feel at first when I came back here but being able to wrestle in those two matches made me feel alive, that the rush of adrenaline coursing through my veins and the fight that was brought to me was just too much to walk away from, that is what got me to wrestling in the first place and it ended up getting me back in once again! And even though all of you might not expect this from me, I want to give thanks as well especially towards Pandora and Halsey for giving me that feeling back, I said several times throughout the whole week that in the future the both of you could be champions and I meant it, but you weren’t going to make those words come true by doing the things you have done since the beginning and using me as a stepping stone to get to it, and I proved the two of you wrong in that!
Raven Roberts: But I know damn well this isn’t going to over just yet, and the fight to make sure everything in Showdown deserves justice won’t stop, that is why-
(Suddenly, ‘O Fortuna’ by Carl Orff starts playing on the speakers and Raven turns curious towards the stage as she sees Madison Kaline come out as well with an unusual smile that you usually don’t see in her face while she got welcomed by a mixed reaction instead from the crowd.)
Eve: And here comes Raven’s partner, Madison Kaline! She has had a very rough year in 2023 having to deal with various losses and uh, people not really being able to do a good job with the things she requested, in her own words of course, so she wanted to step up to Kennedy Street to get better treatment for what she has gone through, and that has lead to them butting heads, Devolution getting involved and Raven making her return to help her, and she was luckily able to end 2023 off in a good note, but what is she doing out here interrupting Raven?
(Madison moves down quickly down the ramp, going up the steel steps and entering through the ropes, as she walks over towards Raven to give her a hug which Raven accepts, before Madison pulls away and her theme song dies down as she starts speaking into her microphone.)
Madison Kaline: I am not here to interrupt your cute speech at all for a bad reason, Raven, I actually wanted to say something that, even I have to admit, it is very uncharacteristic of me, and I am here to say…. tha….thaaaaaa…
(Madison chokes on her words for a bit not being used to saying those words before letting out an annoyed sigh and just letting them out.)
Madison Kaline: Thank you for your help, Bird Brain.
(Madison put her hand on her chest feeling like that was the hardest thing she did in her life while Raven giggled a bit at the sight.)
Raven Roberts: No problem Madison, I am glad I was able to help you out. But knowing you I assume you aren’t here just for that.
Madison Kaline: You are very much correct on that, because I have been sitting and thinking, still kind of shocked that you of all people came out and helped me, and it made me think of the fact that it has genuinely been years since we got together in the ring and wrestled against each other, and the match we had all those years ago ended up in a… very messy ending. That is why we need to finish what we started a long time ago.
(Madison quickly extends her hand out at Raven for a handshake.)
Madison Kaline: I want to face you straight up in a one on one, a friendly match, and I will make sure it is on a huge stage like King of Elite, what do you say?
(Raven’s eyes widened slightly when she heard that request from Madison, she actually didn’t expect Madison to actually want to re-do what happened between them all those years ago but it didn’t take long before Raven extended out her hand and shook it with the crowd cheering in response.)
Raven Roberts: I accept!
(The two women quickly stand there shaking their hands and with a small smile on their faces, as after everything they have been through together, they were going to run it back once more, with the two of them growing a lot since their first match all of those years ago, it would be a very exciting match up between the two to see who came out on top, and on that note, Showdown faded away to commercials.)
(“Betty (Get Money)!” by Yung Gravy begins as golden smoke begins to flow out onto the stage. Clayton Golde enters the ring with a model and kisses her. Then he simply pushes her away as a spotlight comes down on him. He strikes a pose, bathing in the boos from the crowd before he finally heads down towards the ring.)
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST….HAILING FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION IN ROMANIA…WEIGHING IN AT 210 POUNDS….THE SELF-PROCLAIMED “GOSPEL”…..CLAYTON GOLDE!
Gavin Kirkland: WOO! It is the host of my favorite podcast on Rumble! The Rational Male himself has arrived here on Showdown and he is looking to make a statement! He was not successful at Road to Redemption, but he certainly got some eyes on him. He believes that any attention is good attention, but think of what happens if he manages to bump off his opponent tonight!
(As Golde gets into the ring he holds up a bottle of Liquid Golde up for the camera. He then hands it the referee, alongside some brochures for life-improvement courses. The referee seems annoyed at this but Golde doesn’t care. Soon, “Betty (Get Money)!” by Yung Gravy is replaced by ‘O Fortuna’ by Carl Orff. Madison Kaline comes out, also to booing. She seems extremely confident and even waves to the crowd. As she makes her way down the ramp she makes sure to get in the face of audience members.)
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT….FROM TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA….WEIGHING IN AT 120 POUNDS….SHE IS “THE MISTRESS OF DEATH”….MADISONNNNN KAALLIINNNEEEE!!!!
Deadprez: Easier said than done! Madison Kaline is never one to be underestimated. You would be a fool to not take her seriously! In fact, her and Raven Roberts just snagged a massive victory at Road to Redemption. You have to be think she is here to carry on the momentum that came with beating The British Invasion. Golde may be looking for some clout, but she is not here to give him anything but a beating!
(She gets inside the ring and takes the merchandise from the ref. She walks over to the announce table and just throws it in a trash can. Golde is trying to hide his anger as she gets back inside the ring and gives him a wave.)
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Gavin Kirkland: We are underway here! It looks like things are starting off with…Clayton Golde refusing to do anything? In fact, he’s calling for the ref to talk to him! The Clout Shark is telling the referee that he refuses to hit a woman! A true gentleman! No one loves women more than this man right here! Madison just sort of shrugs, she has no problem taking a win here tonight by default! Golde walks up to her and tells her that he doesn’t want to fight her…BEFORE SLAPPING HER RIGHT ACROSS THE FACE! BIG BRAIN PLAY BY THE GIGACHAD AS MADISON IS STUNNED! Golde rams a knee right into her stomach before just shoving her to the ground!
Deadprez: That was some despicable stuff right there! Golde is now celebrating like he’s already won! This guy is either crazy, stupid or the most confident man in wrestling! Madison Kaline is getting to his feet as I speak! SHE SLAPS GOLDE! There’s a look of shock on his face that quickly turns to rage! HE SLAPS HER! SHE SLAPS HIM! HE SLAPS HER AGAIN! These two competitors have turned this professional wrestling match into a slap fight as they go back and forth! Finally Golde switches for a right hook, but Madison slips behind him! She drops him on his head with a german suplex! Clayton tries to scramble back to his feet, but Madison nails him with the dropkick!
Eve: Look at her! Now she’s celebrating! I think the ring might crumble underneath the weight of these two egos! Madison now brings her opponent back to his feet, not wanting to make the mistake of over celebrating! She looks for another suplex but instead finds an elbow to the forehead! Clayton takes advantage with an irish whip…looking for an armdrag off the rebound! MADISON LANDS ON HER FEET! She kicks him right right in the side of the head, sending Golde reeling into the corner! SHE FOLLOWS UP WITH A SPEAR! Clayton Golde is driven into the turnbuckle! I think right about now he’s thinking that he really shouldn’t have hit this woman in particular! Kaline drags him back towards the center of the ring and sets up for the M.O.D!
Gavin Kirkland: BUT CLAYTON HEAVES HER UP INTO THE AIR FOR A POWERBOMB! BUT MADISON WITH THE HURRICANRANA! The Mistress of Death is looking to collect a soul tonight! Somehow she is managing to stay ahead of The Golden God himself! This is impossible…I’ve listened to every episode of The Golden Gospel! There is no one smarter than this man right here! Oh no…it looks like Madison has made her way out onto the apron! She looks to take flight with a crossbody…NO! GOLDE BOOTS HER RIGHT IN THE STOMACH! THIS IS ALL PART OF HIS MASTER PLAN! I knew it! Golde immediately grabs Madison and hits the stun gun right onto the apron!
Deadprez: This man ain’t messing around! He throws Madison back inside the ring! He starts with the standing elbow drops! One after another, he just drives his elbow right into the chest of Madison Kaline! He stops for a minute to look out to the crowd who seem to simply not vibe with him at all! He lets out a smile as he makes a climb to the top rope! HE LOOKS TO SHOW OFF WITH A DIVING 450 LEG DROP! MADISON MANAGES TO DODGE OUT OF THE WAY! Golde has the air knocked right out of him as he collides with the mat! Kaline leaps back to her feet and heads to the ropes…SHE LOOKS FOR THE LIONSAULT! IT CONNECTS AND SHE LOOKS FOR A COVER!

He doesn’t even care that he could’ve ended this right now! He brings Madison back to her feet but she catches him by surprise with a belly-to-belly!
Gavin Kirkland: NO! He refuses to leave his feet! Golde shoves her into the corner! He looks to follow up with a clothesline, but she ducks right under! SHE LOOKS ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX! Golde clings onto the ropes, again simply refusing to be moved! SHE DROP KICKS IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD INSTEAD! SHE FOLLOWS UP WITH ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX! It already seems like she’s ready to end this one! She stalks her opponent…looking for the Afterlife! GOLDE GETS ON HIS KNEES AND STARTS PLEADING WITH HER! Have a heart Madison! Madison is now back in control here and she knows it! She brings her opponent back to his feet and sends him back to the mat with a suplex! Madison now makes her way to the top rope! She’s looking for some high risk and higher reward! MADDIE BOMB! SHE CRASHES DOWN ONTO GOLDE…WHO GETS HIS KNEES UP! He recovers and picks up for THE TEARDROP SUPLEX! The tables have turned yet again!
Eve: The self-proclaimed Gigachad now grabs Madison from behind and locks in the sleeper hold! There is a ninety pound difference between these two, he is lifting her up into the air swinging her around with all the force all he can! Kaline begins to fight back! She manages to push backwards and these two bump into the ref knocking him down! SHE BRINGS THE BACK OF HER LEG INTO THE GOLDEN GOD’S GOLDEN ROD! He releases the hold and hits the floor! She looks to cover but Golde rolls to the outside! That man is as slippery as an eel!
Gavin Kirkland: This is a mastermind at work Eve! He always finds a way to stay in the game! It’s that survival instinct that puts the win in Wincel! Madison of course is not dumb enough to give him any time to breathe! She follows him to the outside and suplexes him right onto the floor! Golde might have just opened himself up to even more punishment! She picks him up and spears him into the barricade! You have to give Madison her props, she is ruthless! She drives into the barricade one more time! Now he is crawling away from his opponent! Golde is committed to a tactical retreat it seems!
Deadprez: I think you mean to say that he’s running away! If you can’t take the heat, then you gotta stay out of the kitchen! It is clear right now that Madison is heating things too much for Golde to handle! He starts making his way up the ramp but Madison is in hot pursuit! She doesn’t want a count-out, now she wants to kick his behind! As she approaches he turns around looking for a sucker punch! Madison saw that one coming from a mile away AND COUNTERS BY SLAPPING THE TASTE OUT OF HIS MOUTH! This guy is so hateable that the crowd seems to be cheering on Madison Kaline! She looks for another suplex BUT GOLDE HITS THE ATOMIC DROP! HE FOLLOWS IT UP WITH THE ONE-INCH PUNCH!
Eve: HE IMMEDIATELY STARTS BOOKING IT BACKS TOWARDS THE RING! Golde is telling the ref to hurry up and count Madison out! She’s slowly recovering back on the ramp but that’s a long distance to make in a short amount of time! The ref has reached the count and she is getting back up! Golde is telling him to count even faster and starting to get frustrated! That’s the seven count and Madison has finally gotten back to her feet! GOLDE IS NOW SCREAMING AT THE REF! The referee stops the count entirely to let Golde know who’s in charge! Madison comes sliding back inside the ring and TAKES DOWN GOLDE! She’s lefts and rights, scratching and clawing at him! He makes a narrow escapes once again, shoving Madison to the side! He goes to the ropes and looks for THE BRAND DEAL!
Gavin Kirkland: It almost connects BUT MADISON TURNS THE SPRINGBOARD STUNNER INTO A GERMAN SUPLEX! Wow, Golde has had any sense suplexed right out of him! Madison knows opportunity when it rears it’s head and she makes her way to the top rope! MADDIE BOMB! IT CONNECTS!

Again, this would be a perfect opportunity for Golde to cover, but he can’t bring himself to do it! He wants the spotlight…he wants to do something that everyone in the audience will watch and say “I’ll subscribe to his podcast.” He drags her into the center of the ring and starts with the leg drops! He hits one…and another! ANOTHER! HE GETS TO FIVE MAKING A SHOW OF ALL OF THEM! GOLDE RUSH! Now he covers!

He drags her over the corner and smashes her head right off the turnbuckle! She looks for a forearm…BUT HE GETS HER WITH A REGALPLEX! Clayton Golde is firmly in control here and should be scary for any woman! He brings her back to the turnbuckle and places her on the top rope facing the audience! He climbs up after her, continuing to the taunt the crowd so the whole world can see! HE LOOKS FOR THE INVERTED FRANKENSTEINER OFF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! SOMEHOW MADISON LANDS ON HER FEET INSTEAD, ROLLING THROUGH TO PREVENT A FATAL BLOW! Golde thinks he hits it, he’s still taunting the crowd!
Gavin Kirkland: He is blinded by his own greatness! Madison takes advantage of a distracted…TORNADO DDT! Golde’s head is spiked into the mat with great force! He hops onto the mid rope here…SWANTON BOMB! I think we might be heading towards the beginning of the end for Golde! Madison waits for him to start getting back up and SHE LOOKS FOR ANOTHER M.O.D! GOLDE WITH THE POWERBOMB FOR A COUNTER! You can tell it was an act of desperation! Exhausted and wounded, The Modern Day Midas looks for a cover…HOLY CRAP! MADISON LOCKS IN THE DEATH’S GRASP! Deadprez: Golde manages to get a leg on the bottom rope! It seems like the referee is taking a suspiciously long time to break it up! Maybe Golde shouldn’t have screamed at him earlier in the match! After a few moments, he finally breaks it up but the damage has already been done! Madison releases then refocuses her efforts and pulls him away from the ropes! She starts building momentum, running off the ropes looking for a spear! GOLDE LEAPS OVER IT! HE LOOKS FOR THE DEMONETIZED OFF THE REBOUND! MADISON GETS MID TURN WITH THE DROP KICK! Golde stumbles back into the ropes and Kaline is in hot pursuit! With an irish whip she sends him to the other side of the ring…SPEAR OFF THE REBOUND!
Eve: Golde rolls right over and looks for the school boy roll-up! WAIT HE PICKS UP HER! SCHOOL BOY POWERBOMB! I think he’s done playing games here, now he just to finish the job! He picks up her up the powerslam position…HE’S LOOKING FOR THE GOLDE PILL! MADISON SLIPS BEHIND HIM! SHE LOOKS FOR ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX…BUT GOLDE LANDS ON HIS FEET! Instead of capitalizing he simply strolls on over to the corner and sits down! He’s calling for a time-out! This guy is unbelievable! The ref is now screaming at Golde and telling him that there are no time-outs during a wrestling match! And what’s Madison doing…she’s now on the ropes…celebrating? There’s a massive smile stretched across her face!
Gavid Kirkland: She’s just ignoring the Golden God! She might have been smart enough to see through whatever ruse he might be planning here! Golde does not like being ignored like this and he makes a sprint towards his opponent! Madison was lying in wait…CROSSBODY OFF THE TOP ROPE! SHE CRASHES DOWN UPON GOLDE BUT HE CATCHES! He rolls backwards and gets back to his feet, holding her in the powerslam position! She starts fighting back with elbows, but he stills looks for the GOLDE PILL! SHE LANDS ON HER FEET INSTEAD! There’s a stunned look on his face before Madison drives a knee into his stomach!
Deadprez: M! O! D! That famouser finally connects and drives Golde face first into the mat! All she has to do is cover and this one could be over! Instead she gets him back to a vertical base and slaps him across the face! She keeps going, clearly going rapid-fire here! Clayton finally shoves her back but she just smirks at him! There is a lot of confidence radiating off of her right now, maybe too much! Madison Kaline tells him to bring his best shot…AND HE DOES! He looks for a boot but Madison simply ducks under and runs to the ropes…AFTERLIFE! THE CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL CONNECTS AND GOLDE CRUMPLES INTO DUST! Cover by The Mistress of Death!

(Madison continues to celebrate as we see Clayton Golde leaning on the announcers table looking frustrated.)
(The scene opens on Princess Candice, and she is sitting on a regal looking chair, a tiara in her hair and her best Princess dress hanging all the way to the floor. On the TV screen by her right, plays Cinderella, and Candice seems totally enchanted by it, and only after a few moments does she realize that she has a camera on her. She pauses the movie, not wanting to miss a single moment, and then turns herself slightly to face the camera. She then starts to speak, quietly and as ‘princessy’ as she can muster.)
Princess Candice: I think that it goes without saying that wherever I have been in 2023, I have made an impact. Whether it was on Voltage, with my Disney Besties, who literally stole the show every single week. Or more recently on Showdown, where I have been a symbol of good in what has become a really dark place, it has been my name that has been on everyone’s lips. And rightfully so. The world needs hope right now, and every single week this year, I have provided that light. And yet, I haven’t once been rewarded. Look at who it was who took control of Caroline when she threatened to blanket the company in darkness forever. It was me. Look who it was who has stood for the Disney name throughout, when even our World Champion has used some dubious tactics to get ahead. I have been in this company on and off since 2019. That’s four years… and yet I am still missing gold. And whilst other, lesser individuals have been given their opportunities, I have been left to continue the good fight. Alone.
(She seems to wipe a tear from her eye, or was it the glitter irritating her. Either way she continues, knowing that having been given this time she had to get her point across.)
Princess Candice: I may be a princess, something that many people will never attain, but I am yet to be a champion. Never mind all the people I have beaten, I have never been given my dues, or the opportunities that I have earned. I look at Road to Redemption, and at Team Showdown who couldn’t get along at Territorial Invasion, and I feel like I am being punished for events that were simply NOT my fault.
(Her emotions have changed, and now instead of being matter of fact, she seems irritated by the situation.)
Princess Candice: I have a bitter taste in my mouth, and you know something. I want to get rid of it. And the only way to do that, is to become a champion… and that is what I am going to do.
(At that point, Alana Starr steps into the room. Alanda had become second in command to Kennedy after what happened to Heidi Huxley, and seemingly she had been listening from outside the door. Princess Candice seems more than a little frustrated by the interruption, but is also aware that Alana is the one who has Kennedy’s ear now. And with that in mind, she is polite when she reacts.)
Princess Candice: Alana isn’t it?
Alana Starr: Yes, that is correct. And I am one of Kennedy’s best friends in all the world.
Princess Candice: I didn’t know Kennedy was capable of friendship
Alana Starr: Oh, you’d be surprised Candice. You’d be surprised just how GOOD friends we are. Kennedy and I have dealt with more bullsugar that you could possibly imagine, and have always taken care of barstools that haven’t agreed with us. And you know what Candice, I was listening at the other side of the door, and you are right. The way you have been treated isn’t GOOD. It isn’t GOOD at all.
Princess Candice: So, what are you saying?
Alana Starr: I’m saying that you are right, Candice, and you should be rewarded. Now that I have replaced Heidi, at least for the foreseeable anyway though between you and me, a Heidi with perfect vision wasn’t a GOOD partner for Kennedy at all. So yes, I made a few calls, had a chat with Kennedy, and we have decided that you will indeed be given an opportunity…
Princess Candice: And?
Alana Starr: All in GOOD time Candice, Alana is building up the tension here.
(They wait a few moments, until finally Alana continues.)
Alana Starr: And there is no better opportunity than the Specialist Championship. So what do you say to that?
(Candice gets to her feet, a huge smile on her face. Her smile makes Alana smile, and it seems that right now the whole room has a GOOD energy.)
Princess Candice: I won’t let you or Disney, or even Kennedy down Alana, I promise you. Thank you. Thank you so very much.
Alana Starr: My pleasure, now if you would excuse me, I have some of those barstools to deal with.
(Alana leaves with a smile, leaving Princess Candice to jump on the spot, clapping her hands together with real joy not often seen on EAW programming. She turns to the television screen, that is paused on Cinderella in all her glory.)
Princess Candice: This is it, Cinders…
(She unpauses the movie, and goes back to watching it, as the scene slowly fades to a different area backstage.)
(Backstage. After a tumultuous beginning and two huge matches coming up for both Jon Kelton and Delilah Rose. The Devolution stand together as Kyra Phillips is standing right in front of them with mic in hand.)
Kyra Phillips: Hello Showdown fans! In just a few moments we will see Delilah Rose in a Fatal Four-Way vying to get the first crack at the National Elite Championship held by Veena Adams at King of Elite. Then later tonight Jon Kelton will face Kirk Redwood who is destined to have a breakout 2024 much like we have seen Solomon Stane. But Devolution did not have a great night at Road to Redemption, all four members lost their respective matches. I…..
(Delilah stops her right there.)
Delilah Rose: I see what you are doing love and if this interview is going to continue, I’m going to need you to pipe down. By no means am I the spokesperson for Devolution but I do have something to say. Yes, we have not been on track lately, I certainly have failed in my chances to make something happen, that is on me, but what happened at Road to Redemption is not what will define us. See, tonight I have the opportunity to get a title shot against the woman that took away the title from Jon and bring it back to the fold, that is exactly what I will do. This isn’t some paint by number strategy, this is what we are capable of doing, is that clear?
Kyra Phillips: Yes, it is. And Jon Kelton, after losing the National Elite Championship, you get to do something bigger, that is go on to win the King of Elite tournament and get an Answers World Championship match at any time you wish, a huge upgrade.
(Jon now walks up to Kyra.)
Jon Kelton: See, you saved yourself right there, because that is exactly what I plan to do, an upgrade. See, there are times that people need to understand that things will not go their way. We have learned that in a very short span, but when they do, people want to call it a fluke. Nah ah. It doesn’t work that way Kyra, because the truth is, I am the best in this business, and I will prove it by becoming King Kelton. Now, Veena Adams has my championship, but what better way to throw it back in her face with me being as the Answers World Champion and her KING? Doesn’t it just slip right off the tongue Kyra? KING KELTON…. Say it with me….
Kyra Phillips: King Kelton.
Jon Kelton: Exactly. See, I am surrounded by beautiful, strong, dangerous, and powerful women, the kind that would rip you apart, and that is what makes the Devolution strong. You saw what happened earlier tonight. ARIA attacks Pandora and then the Hellcat throws her all over the parking lot, not to mention what happened at Road to Redemption where there is absolutely no doubt that The British Invasion defeated those two old tramps. But tonight, Delilah will face Veena, I will go on to the next round and then win the whole damn thing.
(As Kyra Phillips is about to say something, Halsey Neel steps up.)
Halsey Neel: Everyone knows that was our match to win, the fact that Madison Kaline is running around bragging is sickening. But you see Kyra, Pandora and I are not going to allow t5his to be our legacy, that was their one mulligan. Instead, this is what will elevate the British Invasion and we WILL become the Unified Tag Team Champions. This is by far over between us and the old bitties, that’s for sure, we will get the last laugh, but it seems like some little girls want to get involved with us because let’s face it, we are exactly what everyone believes we are not and that is the top of the mountain, we run Showdown!
(Pandora Paisley takes the mic….)
Pandora Paisley: WE ARE TIRED! DO YOU BLOODY HERE ME!? WE ARE DONE PLAYING THESE GAMES, WE ARE NOT HERE TO BE THE STEPPINGSTONES OF ANYONE! ARIA, YOU COST US ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MATCHES OF THE YEAR AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THAT! VICTORY WILL BE OURS!
(She calms herself some, then turns back to the camera.)
Pandora Paisley: The Devolution and The British Invasion in 2024 is going to dominate. What happened earlier tonight is nothing compared to what is going to happen in 2024. Now Kyra, you can bugger off.
(Kyra quickly grabs her mic and leaves and the Devolution stand there for a moment before they walk off, and Delilah heads to the ring.)
(Showdown fades to the skybox as ‘7 Rings’ by Ariana Grande is playing in the background. Veena Adams is sitting on the skybox as she waves to the camera, who had panned to her. She is all pretty as she awaits to find out who will face her for the National Elite Championship.)
Eve: Now, there’s Veena Adams, who is more than ready to see which of these women will face her for her title.
Gavin Kirkland: She looks so flawless.
Deadprez: Keep yourself together, Gav. We need to get through this match.
(Cypher’ by Northlane begins to play through the speakers. The crowd showering Delilah Rose with a negative reception. Delilah mocking the crowd a bit before making her way down the ramp, more than ready for this match up.)
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS A FATAL-4-WAY MATCH TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER FOR THE NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! AND, IT’S SCHEDULE FOR ONE FALL!!!

Gavin Kirkland: Delilah Rose would love to take the initiative by reclaiming the National Elite Championship for The Devolution. Delilah found herself being pinned during the 8 Elitist Tag Team match on the Road to Redemption pre-show and that must have lit a fire underneath her ass to make sure that she walks out as the winner tonight!
Eve: Delilah Rose is someone who knows a thing or two about championship matches as she faced Milli Banks at House of Glass in a fatal-4-way as well. While on the receiving end of the loss, perhaps, Delilah learned what she did from the match to make sure that she does not fall short tonight.
Deadprez: Delilah Rose has grown into a wonderful wrestler. She’s someone with all of the potential to be a future champion in 2024. She is something that you ought to be on a look out for. She and The Devolution are looking to make 2024 their year.

Gavin Kirkland: Here is one of the women who fell short in capturing the Specialists Championship at Road to Redemption. But, that doesn’t seem like it’s stopped Nikki Kimura’s hope of making 2024 her year. Over the past several weeks, we have been aware of the demise of the Cosmic Captains as Kasai seems like she might have taken a bit of a personality change. But, Nikki is trying not to let it hold her down.
Eve: It seems like this has always been Kasai, but with Nikki Kimura, she is passionate about the world of professional wrestling. I am looking forward to see how she grows as a wrestler. I do believe that she has untapped potential. I still look back in her match against Kasai from back at The Last Stand. One of her best performances to date, so I think her versus Veena could be a banger.
Deadprez: Nikki Kimura and Delilah Rose would both be intriguing challenges for Veena Adams. As for Nikki, I think that she needs that big moment to break out and be a title contender. Could this be it? I guess, we’ll see.
(‘Dance The Night’ by Dua Lipa begins to replace ‘Vroom’ as the crowd gives a mixed ovation for Ashlynn Quinn, who is looking as glamorous as ever. She blows a kiss to Veena Adams, who is at the skybox as Veena blows a kiss in return.)

Gavin Kirkland: Do you think that there’s a bit of pressure from Ashlynn Quinn to perform her best in front of Veena Adams?
Eve: I would think so. Not only is it an opportunity for the National Elite Championship, but Veena Adams is the champion. We have seen the bond of Ashlynn and Veena just blossoming in 2023. I wouldn’t be sure what happens if Ashlynn wins this match.
Deadprez: How would Veena Adams feel about the entire thing? She’s an Adams after all, so I don’t think that Veena will have any guilt with putting Ashlynn down like she puts anyone down, but could their bond make it past a potential match between these two?
(‘KARATE’ by BABYMETAL begins to play as the crowd gives Kasai a mixed reception as she comes out, looking all menacing. Now, she wears the faceprint to hide her scars from Road to Redemption.)
Gina Romano: AND LASTLY… FROM AMANI, KAGOSHIMA, JAPAN… SHE IS ‘THE HUNTRESS’…KASAI!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Now, if there is someone that Veena Adams should not want to face, it’s Kasai. The faceprint just makes her look ten times more terrifying. But, over the past several weeks, we have seen Kasai develop herself. She’s a lot more uncaring about the aspirations of everyone else. She only cares about herself.
Eve: She made it to the final two against Bea Valentine in the Specialists Chamber, but fell short of the prize. She is someone who has a ton of potential and I think that 2024 could be a growing year for her. I think that winning this match can catapult her to the next level.
Deadprez: All of these women would benefit from winning this match. But, who will be the one to face Veena Adams for the National Elite Championship? We’re going to see…RIGHT NOW!

Gavin Kirkland: Delilah Rose rolls out of the ring and the crowd just hates that! But, it seems like Ashlynn Quinn is taking a page out of her playbook! She rolls out of the ring on the opposite side of the ring! Both women with similar approaches to begin with match! We’re left with Nikki Kimura and Kasai exchanging looks at each other. Are these two going to have to wrestle each other? We all know the instances that these two have clashed, it’s been Kasai who has come out on top! These two were once partners, but stand on the opposite side of the ring towards each other! Could we be seeing a bit of a temporary alliance here?
Eve: I DON’T THINK THIS WAS SOMETHING THAT EITHER WERE EXPECTING, BUT KASAI AND NIKKI KIMURA SIMULTANEOUSLY LAUNCH THEMSELVES THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND CONNECT WITH SUICIDE DIVES TO THE OUTSIDE! KASAI LANDS ON ASHLYNN QUINN! NIKKI LANDS ON DELILAH ROSE! Nikki is hyped up. Kasai is staring daggers as she looks around. They turn their attentions towards the women that they just launched themselves too! Nikki and Kasai get Delilah and Ashlynn and roll them back inside the ring! Both of them battery ram them to opposite corners! We see the former tandem known as the Cosmic Captains taking control on the early parts of this match up!
(The camera pans to Veena Adams at the skybox, getting her champagne glass refilled by a butler. The National Elite Championship is placed perfectly on her lap as her eyes are focused on the match that’s happening at the moment.)
Deadprez: Veena Adams paying close attention to the match up, which will determine her next opponent! As we pan back to Nikki Kimura and Kasai we see a bit of teamwork from the former group! Both of them are connecting with shoulder thrusts to the ribs of Ashlynn Quinn and Delilah Rose! We see that Nikki Kimura sits Delilah on the top turnbuckle and it seems like Nikki might be looking to utilize the top turnbuckle! BUT, DELILAH DELIVERS A KICK THAT TAKES NIKKI BACK A BIT! BUT, NIKKI RUNS TOWARDS DELILAH, CONNECTING WITH A PALM STRIKE TO HER CHEST! DELILAH’S MOUTH GOES AJAR AT THE PAIN OF THAT PALM STRIKE! Meanwhile, we see that Kasai looks to get Ashlynn by her wrist, looking to whip her to the corner diagonally from them! But, Ashlynn counters the whip, sending Kasai to the corner! Ashlynn connects with a handspring before connecting with a shotgun dropkick to the gut of Kasai!
Gavin Kirkland: Now, that was quite neat of Ashlynn Quinn to do! I have been so glad to see the bond her and Veena Adams have established these past several months! It’s been beautiful to see blossoms! Ashlynn gets her leg and places her foot on the throat of Kasai! The high extended corner foot choke on Kasai! The referee might need to intervene here!
Referee: (off-mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Eve: Ashlynn Quinn getting her foot out of the throat of Kasai at five, but there’s not much that the referee can do in this situation. It’s a fatal-4-way. There are no disqualifications and no count outs. The only way to win is by pinfall and submission! Ashlynn jumps with a double knee and sends Kasai back with a monkey flip — BUT, LOOK AT THIS! KASAI MANAGES TO LAND DIRECTLY ON HER FEET! BUT, DELILAH ROSE MANAGES TO CONNECT WITH A CLUB TO THE BACK OF KASAI’S HEAD, KNOCKING HER DOWN IN THE PROCESS! We see that Nikki Kimura is trying to come to the aid of Kasai, but Ashlynn connects with a superkick! This drops both Kasai and Nikki down! Now, we see that Ashlynn and Delilah are stomping on them! Has hell frozen over to see a member of The Devolution and ‘Anti-Devolution’ working together?
(Veena Adams with an eyebrow raised, telling Ashlynn Quinn to just drop Delilah Rose before Delilah goes right after her.)
Deadprez: I think that you spoke too soon, Eve! It seems like Ashlynn Quinn should have listened to ‘Mother.’ Delilah Rose just dropped Ashlynn Quinn with an elbow smash out of nowhere! This causes Ashlynn to stumble back! Ashlynn tries to keep her balance as she runs towards Delilah, looking to connect with a forearm smash! But, Delilah blocks the forearm! She grabs Ashlynn by her fist and looks at this — she’s heading for the top turnbuckle! I think that we’re going to be seeing a Mexican arm drag as she sends Ashlynn sliding across the ring! It was none other than the current National Elite Champion, Veena Adams, she sat there wearing an outfit as expensive as the suite she was at, and of course, holding the National Elite Championship in one of her arms, she was drinking a bit of champagne and just relishing in her immense victory at Road to Redemption, after all of the hoops that she had to go through to get there in the first place, she deserved to sit there with as a two time National Elite Champion, and holding the belt that she worked so hard for.)
(She continued sipping the champagne before she suddenly heard a knock on the door and she immediately got her guard up, quickly turning around and getting in a fighting stance, knowing well how someone knocking on the door of her suite ended last time.)
Veena Adams: WHO IS IT?!
Mikaela Street: Ittttttssssssssssssssssssss Mikaelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
(Veena let out an annoyed sigh, she knew that incredibly cheery voice from anywhere. She quickly lowered her guard down and then sat down once more in the couch.)
Veena Adams: Come on in, it’s open!
(Mikaela quickly opens the door and pops her head in with a smile, quickly rushing inside and being followed by a cameraman right behind her, she moved towards the other side of the couch and sat down while holding a microphone.)
Mikaela Street: Hello there, Veena! How are you doing?
(Surprisingly, Veena was in a good mood for once and she really wasn’t going to chew out Mikaela, she crossed her legs and held her championship close to her arm as she responded with a confident smile.)
Veena Adams: Couldn’t be any better, a few pounds heavier but a lot more prettier, that is for sure.
Mikaela Street: That is amazing to hear, now, of course, we just have to get in your words right now after everything that has happened after Road to Redemption, how does it feel to be a 2 time National Elite Champion?
Veena Adams: It feels amazing, Mikaela, I don’t want to give one of those rah-rah speeches or try and make it seem like this whole journey was an incredibly impossible obstacle that no one expected me to overcome, because it really wasn’t if we get down to the basics of it, but I GENUINELY, and I mean this with all of my heart, I earned this championship on my hands. I actually shed blood, sweat and tears for being able to be called a 2 time National Elite Champion, this championship belongs to me because I worked hard to the spot I am at right now, and yes, I know it is very shocking that this is coming from my mouth, that this is coming from the rich and egOtIstIcAl niece of the owner of this company, from the one who whined when she didn’t get what she wanted, from the one who tried to usurp power for herself at whatever cost and taking shortcuts from whichever place I could find, that Veena is a 2 time National Elite Champion and it really says a lot how far I have come as a wrestler, and I might throw myself off a window when looking back at this part of the broadcast for saying this, but I will even say as a person.
Veena Adams: The journey to get here was very tough, incredibly annoying to deal with and I wish I didn’t have to deal with that bullshit in the first place but eventually, whatever Gawd exists in the universe, it gave me the opportunity to right some wrongs that another person committed upon me and I regained back my championship. Because I will continue to repeat this until my voice disappears, I never lost this championship fair and square in the first place, I was wrongly screwed over by Devolution Version 1.0 and then the championship was given to none other than, who guessed it? Jon Kelton, as if he didn’t get enough opportunities to achieve something like this already, and he gets so desperate he has to resort to screwing me of all people, and then you see what happens afterward? I am not given my championship rematch despite what happened, and I am forced to climb from the bottom alll the way to the tippy top once again just because of a stupid loophole that Kelton made up as if it even made sense in the first place, but you know, aside from having to face filler in the name of a Karen at the start of the season? This journey to get here taught me a lot, I ended up creating a genuine friendship with someone I consider a friend now, Ashlynn Quinn, I formed a kick ass team with other women to beat the ass of Devolution Version 2.0, and then I ended off the year by being able to wipe the floor of Devolution Version 3.0, the worst version of them all despite the fact of the last two members they had on that group. :mjlol:
Veena Adams: But you know what? I am going to be humble, I am going to actually open up my heart and be nice to my enemies, this just happens every once blue moon, and I am actually going to give flowers to someone who deserved it after the performance that they gave year all around, we butted heads a lot since the season started and despite their horrible personality, despite them making my life a living hell ever since I lost my National Elite Championship, I gotta give them props for everything they gave at Road to Redemption…
Veena Adams: And that person is- My personal choffer that always brings me to the arenas! He started making me arrive super late to the shows ever since I lost my championship and I was this close to firing him but he actually got me in time at Road to Redemption and redeemed himself.
Mikaela Street: Oh! I thought you were talking about… Jon Kelton-
(Veena immediately burts out into very loud laughter once Mikaela says that, taking almost a few seconds as she wipes the tears of laughter away from her eyes before speaking up once more.)
Veena Adams: Who the fuck do you think I am, Mikaela? Of course I am not going to give that man anything, did you not see how many people he had at ringside and everything he pulled in that match against me? He needed to basically be held by his hand from 10 different people and he STILL lost! He needed to cheat so many times to keep me down and I kept getting back up! That was the passion of a woman unreasonably scorned by assholes like him who didn’t deserve to be on the top and you know what I did? I made him pay for everything that he had done upon me, I overcame one million stupid odds and then I sent him back into the spot where he truly belongs, beneath me, and now he is acting like a depressed bitch as if everything that happened to him wasn’t brought to him because of his own fault, gawd, I love being myself.
Veena Adams: But yeah point is, fuck Jon Kelton, fuck Pandora Paisley, fuck Halsey Neel, fuck Delilah Rose, fuck the CTE ridden bitch, fuck the Turkey Sandwich, fuck Devolution, VEENA ALWAYS STANDS ON TOP!
Mikaela Street: Glad to know you are feeling incredible then, Veena. Now, as you have already seen a few minutes ago, there was a fatal four way match for a number one contendership for your National Elite Championship, and the woman who won it was your best friend, Ashlynn Quinn! What do you think about it?
Veena Adams: Oh Mikaela, if you think I am going to be mad about being forced to fight my friend, then you are totally wrong, in fact, I am very happy and proud that I am able to face Ashlynn! She has come a long way ever since we paired together months ago and she showed me all the progress when she won that match, but the real test for her will be her going up against me and I am very much looking forward to it.
Mikaela Street: Any last words that you want to give to all of the people watching?
Veena Adams: No matter what you say towards me, no matter what you try to throw at me, I am always going to come back from it ten times stronger, if you think I haven’t gone through anything in life, if you think you can try and predict what kind of wrestler and person I truly am, then you are going to crash and completely burn. Chase your dreams, blah blah blah, other bullshit like that, and most importantly of all. No one is taking this from me. Period. Toodles!

Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT….FROM BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS….WEIGHING IN AT 210 POUNDS….”UNLIKABLE”….KIIIRRRKKKK REEEDDDWOOOODDDDD!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Eve: The two of them circle the ring now waiting for the other to make the first move, and then finally after a few moments both of them lock up in the center of the ring in a collar and elbow tie-up! Kirk shoves Jon back before running and clotheslining him over the top rope right out of the gate! Jon looks a little bit taken off guard with how quick that happened as he is telling the referee to back Kirk up before getting back in the ring.
Deadprez: The referee does back away Kirk a few feet as even Kirk is giving Jon all the room he wants inviting him back in the ring. Jon Kelton manages to step inside the ring. He holds his hand in a halting position, making sure that the referee does his job in making sure Kirk is backed away. The two Elitists are standing across from each other as the referee steps aside, letting this match officially get underway once again — AND THEN KIRK RUNS TOWARDS JON TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A DROPKICK TO HIS GUT! KIRK BEGINS TO FIRE AWAY WITH SOME PUNCHES TO THE FACE OF THE FORMER NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION LOOKING TO START THIS MATCH STRING AND DAMAGE JON EARLY! KIRK LOOKS TO KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING AS HE PLACES HIS FOOT ON THE NECK OF JON!
Deadprez: Kirk looks at the referee as he tries creating a little separation between the two of them after the referee did his five count before turning his attention back to Jon. He picks up Jon by underneath the chin and pushes him against the ropes! Kirk swings forward, connecting with a knife edge chop to the chest of Jon now Kirk connects with another chop to the chest! He gets Jon by his arm before whipping him to the ropes across from them! BUT JON COUNTERS THE WHIP, SENDING KIRK TO THE ROPES AS JON RUNS RIGHT AFTER HIM BUT KIRK MANAGES TO LIFT HIS FOOT UP BLOCKING HIM BUT JON MANAGES TO GRAB HIS FOOT AS HE CONNECTS WITH A DRAGON SCREW LEG WHIP! KIRK GETS TURNED AROUND AS HE FINDS HIMSELF INTO A CRAWLING POSITION! Jon finds his way up to his feet as he lifts one of Kirk’s arms up and looks at this — he does the magistral cradle as he has Kirk’s shoulder’s down!

Gavin Kirkland: Kirk manages to get himself out of the cradle as he rolls himself to his knees as Jon Kelton gets to his feet once more as Jon looks to connect with a penalty kick to Kirk’s face, but Kirk sidesteps out of the way just in the nick of time as Jon misses that just barely as he stumbles forward and Kirk uses this window of opportunity and manages to grab Jon by his foot and pulls it back twisting it as hard as he can! Jon drops to one knee, but look at this…Kirk still has Jon’s leg in his possession! More like he has him by the ankle as he rolls up to his feet as Kirk has that ankle lock sibked in…but it’s not as secure as he would like it as Jon manages to scurry and clutch to the bottom rope quickly! Kirk releases his ankle as he backs away! HE RUNS TOWARDS THE FORMER NATIONAL ELITE CHAMPION WITH A KNEE STRIKE TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! THEN HE PLACES HIS CHIN ON THE SECOND ROPE AS HE BEGINS TO CONNECT WITH A ROPE CHOKE!
Referee: (no mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! COME ON KIRK BACK IT UP!!
Deadprez: After a few moments, Kirk backs off Jon Kelton as Jon is trying to grasp for some oxygen as he finds himself back to his feet! Not for long though as Kirk Redwood goes over as she sees that Jon is rising back to his feet and he quickly goes to retrieve Jon, but Jon manages to connect with a punch to his face as that takes him back knocking him backwards a few feet! Kirk returns the favor by connecting with a punch to Jon, but Jon connects with a knee to her gut! He bends forward in response as Jon picks him up and rolling him up and then slamming him to the mat! Kirk’s spine contorts as Jon picks him up once more as Jon points to one of the corners and goes for it! He places his foot on the turnbuckle before throwing Kirk head first there! Kirk stumbles back, but Jon manages to get his grasp on him before throwing him to the turnbuckle! Jon manages to keep him there before connecting with some shoulder thrusts to the ribs of Kirk! Jon backs up a few feet before running and DRIVES BOTH KNEES INTO HIS CHEST BEFORE FOLLOWING IT UP WITH A MONKEY FLIP! JON FOLLOWS IT UP BY GOING UP TO THE TOP – AND JON CONNECTS WITH A FROG SPLASH!! AND HERE’S THE HOOK OF THE LEG FROM JON!!

Jon gets him up by picking him up from the front, but look at Kirk trying his best to fight out from his grip with shots to the ribs, but Jon puts a stop to that as he drives the knee into the gut before placing him between the legs and picking him up in a powerbomb position and looks to go for a buckle bomb in the corner..BUT KIRK COUNTERS IT TRANSITIONING INTO A HURRICANRANA AND JON HITS THE SECOND TURNBUCKLE FACE FIRST!
Eve: Jon might be in a vulnerable spot here as he stands up in the corner….AND KIRK RUNS AND DELIVERS A RUNNING BIG BOOT STRAIGHT TO THE FACE!! Jon might not have a clue on where he is at the moment as Kirk drags him back to the middle of the ring and jumps up locking in a triangle choke!! Kirk has the triangle choke applied as Jon drops down to a knee with Kirk squeezing the breath out of him. Jon is like a fish out of water trying to find a way out of this! Jon continues trying to get out of this as he is just squirming trying to escape. But look at this….JON JUST DEADLIFTED KIRK OFF THE MAT AND GOES FOR THE BUCKLE BOMB AGAIN WHICH CONNECTS AS KIRK’S HEAD WHIPLASHES OFF THE TURNBUCKLE! Kirk steps out from the corner and then right into the arms of Jon – AND JON WITH A KICK TO THE MIDSECTION….JON HITS “EGO TRIP!!!” THE FUTURE SHOCK DDT DRILLS KIRK’S HEAD INTO THE MAT BEFORE TURNING HIM ON HIS BACK AND GOES FOR ANOTHER COVER!!

Jon looks to the corner before walking over and climbs up to the top rope and balances himself up high….AND JON LEAPS OFF AND GOES FOR A SECOND FROG SPLASH…BUT KIRK GOT THE KNEES UP JUST IN TIME! Kirk saves himself and his tournament hopes as Jon took a huge risk there and it backfired this time!
Deadprez: They both crawl to opposite ends of the ring before stirring back to their feet and turning around to face one another…AND KIRK HITS HIM WITH A STIFF FOREARM AS JON STUMBLE BACK AROUND AND LUCAS HOOKS THE ARMS LOOKING TO GO FOR A BUTTERFLY SUPLEX – BUT JON DROPS DOWN AS KIRK ROLLS BACK UP TO HIS FEET….AND JON RUNS LOOKING TO GO FOR HIS “ONE HIT WONDER” SUPERKICK…..BUT KIRK CATCHES HIS FOOT AND LOCKS HIM IN THE ANKLE LOCK! Deadprez: Kirk just twisting that ankle and you can hear it cracking as Jon is trying anything he can to drag himself to that bottom rope! Again Kirk drags him back to the middle of the ring and Jon…..JON ROLLS THROUGH SENDING KIRK FACE FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLE!! Jon runs after him and connects with a ‘One Hit Wonder’ as Kirk falls to his back! Kirk finds himself a bit dizzy as Jon gets on top of him and connecting with a series of punches to his face as Kirk is trying his best to cover up! Kirk is trying to grab Jon’s face, so that he can shove him away! BUT, JON MANAGES TO GRAB KIRK BY ONE OF HIS ARMS AND IT SEEMS LIKE JON IS LOOKING TO APPLY AN ARM BAR ON HIM! BUT KIRK IS SCRAMBLING HIMSELF OUT OF THE WAY! He manages to get some distance between him and Jon as Kirk realizes that he is in for a fight as he gets himself to his feet! Jon gets to his feet shortly after and you can see the confidence on his face!
Eve: Kirk Redwood charges after Jon here, but Jon Kelton manages to duck underneath before he manages to get Kirk by his wrist and applies a wrist lock on him! Jon wrenches back the wrist lock, applying more pressure and getting a yelp on Kirk who is trying to use his other hand to pull himself away, but she needs to be careful not to sprain his wrist in the process. But Jon manages to go to the ropes as he manages to get himself on the top turnbuckle! Now, this is going to be quite interesting…oh he begins to tightrope walk on the top turnbuckle and he manages to make it across the rope! He gets to the middle before jumping off and connecting with a Japanese arm drag, sending Kirk flying across the ring! KIRK IS TRYING TO SHAKE SOME FEELING BACK TO HIS ARM AS JON RUNS AFTER HIM AND CLOTHESLINING HIM TO THE CORNER! HE SWINGS TOWARDS HIM LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP…. BUT KIRK MANAGES TO GET HIMSELF OUT OF THE WAY!
Deadprez: Kirk Redwood using his bit of opening manages to shove Jon to the corner and he rolls him up! The rollup from behind!! Is Kirk going to punch his ticket to the next round??

Gavin Kirkland: No not yet at least as Jon manages to get himself out of the roll up at the last second!! Kirk rolls himself to his feet as he manages to get Jon Kelton by the nape of his neck and he pulls him in a front headlock position as he manages to lift him on the top horizontal rope! Jon lands on his stomach as he finds himself laying stomach on the rope and…IT’S ALMOST LIKE HE’S SEESAWING LEFT AND RIGHT AS KIRK HAS JON IN A FRONT HEADLOCK AND CONNECTS WITH A CORKSCREW NECK BREAKER! Kirk takes him down and does the atop there as he begins to measure Jon begging for him to get back to his feet as Jon begins to stir before finally standing up and turning around – BUT INSTEAD KIRK RUNS UP BEHIND HIM AND DELIVERS HIS “BASTARDPLEX!!!” JON LANDED HARD ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD THERE AS KIRK QUICKLY CRAWLS OVER AND JUMPS ON TOP FOR THE COVER!!!

Gavin Kirkland: Jon gets the shoulder up at two and three quarters!!! Kirk doesn’t waste any time in going back on the attack once more mounting over him and repeatedly driving his forearm into his face as Jon tries his best to cover up but it’s having little to no effect. Kirk now picks him up by the head, but Kelton begins to fight back as he delivers several shots to the ribs before hitting a European uppercut that drives Kirk back a few feet. Kirk then runs full speed at Job, but Kelton counters with a flapjack as Kirk lands face first on the top turnbuckle!
Deadprez: Jon doesn’t waste any time looking to take advantage of this window of opportunity running up behind Kirk and hits a snap german suplex! Kirk landed hard on the back of the head now this time as Jon stands up, shaking the cobwebs from damage he was put through a moment ago.
Eve: Kirk stands up holding his head in pain and here’s Kelton who delivers a stiff right hand to the face, and then another one as Kirk falls back into the corner! Jon then runs and drives both knees into his chest before following it up with a monkey flip toward the center of the ring yet again, BUT KIRK SOMEHOW JUST LANDED ON HIS FEET!! Jon stands up and turns around before walking right into an enzuigiri kick to the side of the head as he falls back into the corner now. Momentum is just shifting back and forth between these two incredible athletes making the other earn everything they have gotten so far as they both are wanting to punch their ticket to the next round of King Of Elite.
Deadprez: Kirk right away approaches him in the corner and it’s him up on the top turnbuckle and this can’t be good oid as he goes up with him – AND HE TRIES GOING FOR THE SUPERPLEX!! BUT THE CHAMPION IS TRYING HIS BEST TO FIGHT OUT OF THIS WITH SHOTS TO THE RIBCAGE AND NOW BOTH OF THEM ARE EXCHANGING BLOWS ON THAT TOP ROPE BATTLING FOR CONTROL OVER THE OTHER… AND A THUMB TO THE EYE FROM KELTON! Referee didn’t see that as Jon looks to take advantage now…JON DELIVERS A SUNSET FLIP BOMB FROM THE TOP ROPE AND STACKS KIRK UP FOR THE PIN!! IS HE GOING TO ADVANCE??

Eve: BUT KIRK REFUSES TO LET IT HAPPEN AS HE CONTINUES TO FIGHT BACK AS HE DRIVES JON BACK FIRST INTO THE CORNER! Shoulder thrust after shoulder thrust from Kirk now before delivering a hip toss from the corner! Kirk falls back into the ropes to keep his balance as he regains a little bit of his energy back. He runs up behind Kelton now and runs him chest first into the corner before trying to roll him up, but Jon held on to the turnbuckle as Kirk rolls through back to his feet and here comes Kelton charging at him with a full head of steam looking for “One Hit Wonder” again….BUT KIRK JUST DUCKED IT AND JON TIRNS AROUND ONLY TO WALK INTO A HARD FOREARM TO THE FACE THAT NEARLY KNOCKS HIM OUT, AND NOW KIRK….KIRK RUNS OFF THE ROPES AMD HITS “BLITZKRIEG BOP!!!” THE RUNNING KNEE RIGHT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD AS KIRK HOOKS THE LEG HERE AGAIN FOR THE WIN!!

Gavin Kirkland: What a battle this has been between two unbelievable athletes so far as they are throwing everything out there for the right to move on and now it’s just the question of who wants it more. Both of them crawl to opposite ends of the ring after several moments before standing up and turning around to face each other…AND A RIGHT HAND FROM KIRK! AND KELTON RESPONDS WITH A RIGHT OF HIS OWN! BOTH MEN ARE GOING BACK BACK AND FORTH UNTIL…AN ENZIGURI FROM KELTON….BUT THEN KIRK RESPONDS WITH A VICIOUS HEADBUTT TO THE HEAD!! AND NOW KIRK RUNS OFF THE ROPES –

KIRK MIGHT HAVE JON EXACTLY WHERE HE WANTS HIM AS HE RUNS OFF THE ROPES….AND HE LOOKS TO BE GOING FOR .50 CAL!!!” KIRK GOES FOR HIS SPRINGBOARD SUPERMAN PUNCH – BUT OH MY GOD!!! (‘Paint it Black’ by The Rolling Stones plays as Jon Kelton stands and gets his hand raised high in the air with a look of pure focus and hunger on his face, almost like he’s ready for round two already.)
Gina Romano: HERE IS YOUR WINNER AND MOVING ON THE KING OF ELITE TOURNAMENT ….JOONNNN KEELLLTOOONNNN!!!
Eve: Jon picks up the hard fought victory and you gotta give the self named Devil his due, he took everything and then some from Kirk here tonight and the ball could have bounced rather way, but Jon found a way ro pull it off as he rebounds nicely from how Road to Redemption went and now is one step closer to that King Of Elite crown.
Deadprez: Looks like he was out for a statement tonight winning g without any help from the Devolution at all also.
(The final shot is of Jon celebrating his win posing on the second rope while Kirk looks on sitting against the barricade at ringside, disappointed with how the match ended and coming up just a bit short cutting tot he last commercial break.)
(As the commercial break ends, ‘Be Legendary’ by Pop Evil hits over the PA system and immediately the fans jump to their feet, ready to great the Answers World Champion for the very last time in 2023.)
Deadprez: Can you hear that ovation? This man has done things this year that I’m sure he only dreamed over. And even after the Extreme Elimination Chamber, he still sits top of the pile.
(Adam steps out onto the stage with the Championship belt over his shoulder, and nods his appreciation for the noise the fans are making. He then lifts his hands and applauds them which brings an even louder roar.)
Eve: One of the most popular men in Elite Answers Wrestling without a shadow of a doubt.
Gavin Kirkland: I know, it kind of sticks in the throat doesn’t it?
Deadprez: You need to drop this now Gavin. Adam has proven himself ten times over.
Gavin Kirkland: Just an opinion, I just think there are people much more suited. Like Females who would look far better carrying that belt.
Eve: So Basically, you are thinking with what resides between your legs again?
Deadprez: When does Gavin do anything else?
(By name, Adam has reached the ring and he steps up onto the apron, looking out over the fans again with a huge grin on his face. He then steps through the ropes, and asks for a mic, before then lifting his hand and his music dying down. He waits, as an ‘Adam’ chant replaces his music, and again his grin widens. Eventually the noise dies down enough for him to lift the mic and start to speak.)
Adam Lucas: Thank you.
(Even those two simple words brings another huge reaction, but Adam carries on this time regardless.)
Adam Lucas: You cannot understand just how much a reaction like that means to me. It’s everything, it really is.
Gavin Kirkland: And here we have Adam Lucas dropping into ‘suck up’ mode.
Eve: Give the man a break Gavin
Gavin Kirkland: I give him a break when he gives me a go on Beth.
Eve: Yep, as crass as ever Gavin.
Adam Lucas: I promised myself after the Extreme Elimination Chamber last year that 2023 was going to be MY year. I’d failed, on so many occasions to break through that glass ceiling. I’d let all of you down, as you patiently waited for me to find that success that eluded me. I thought I’d given it my all, but I found another ‘level’ pardon the pun. And I did that by winning the King of Elite tournament. Obstacles were thrown in my way; families were placed in my path. But I came through it all, and arrived at the King of Elite finals once again, knowing that this time I couldn’t fail. And I didn’t. I gave EAW the moment they all voted for, driving a crucifix between the shoulder blades of Drake King, and then pinning Bronson Daniels, confirming that I would be in the Main event of Pain for Pride. A main event that saw me face Jake Smith in a match I will remember forever. A night that I became the Answers World Champion.
(Cheers go up again and this time Adam pauses, visibly emotional. After composing himself for a few seconds, he lifts the mic again.)
Deadprez: There, that’s how much it means to him Gavin, and yet you mock him. Pathetic.
Gavin Kirkland: Hey, I’m only saying what others are thinking.
Adam Lucas: But I knew I wasn’t through. Even then I knew I had to validate my title reign so that it would be remembered forever. Daryl Kinkade was a good start. Scott Diamond a decent continuation. ARIA was a challenge I needed to show I could defeat ANY wrestler of any style. But it was the Extreme Elimination Chamber where I knew that I HAD to win, or it would all be for nothing. There were those, even on the announce team… yeah I’m looking at you Gavin, who didn’t believe I could come through.
(Camera pans to Gavin for a few moments, as he looks for somewhere to hide, and then goes back to the ring.)
Adam Lucas: And even though I was crucified by Solomon Stane, I won’t forget that by the way Solomon. Even though I was put through hell and back by my five opponents. I came through against PJ Hendrix, someone who will no doubt one day wear a world championship around his waist. ANY questions about my title reign WERE answered at Road to Redemption. And if you still think differently… well Gavin, I can’t do anything for you bro.
(He grins over at Gavin, but continued the narrative.)
Adam Lucas: That steel structure was the scene for two of my biggest life lessons. I removed that particular monkey off my back EMPHATICALLY. And winning the Answers World Champion of the year after everything Jake Smith did with his reign, that shows that the more knowledgeable fans, the majority of the EAW Universe, recognize what I have done this year. And you know what guys, I’m STILL not finished. See, King of Elite is coming around again, and I won’t get the chance to defend that particular title. But I WILL be defending the Answers World Championship at the King of Elite event, that is a certainty. Who will it be, well that is anyone’s guess, but I assure you all. Right here, right now. (Before Adam can finish, ‘5 Milli’ by Icewear Vezzo kicks in over the speakers, Adam turning to the rampway as the grin returns to his face. Chef Viz appears at the top of the ramp, to a reaction that equals the champions, but Viz doesn’t hang around for the niceties. He walks down the ramp, and with a purpose.)
Gavin Kirkland: YES!!! Here is the real Champion of our brand. COOK VIZ COOK!!!
Eve: Not going to lie, he would probably be Champion anywhere else.
Deadprez: And he wasn’t actually eliminated at Road to Redemption don’t forget that.
(As Viz reaches the ring, he walks up the steps, and Adam sits on the middle rope, respectfully giving Viz the opportunity to enter. Viz nods his head, and steps inside without fear, knowing that Adam wouldn’t resort to a cheap shot. He then asks for a mic which he immediately gets.)
Chef Viz: First of all Nephew, at Road to Redemption, you COOKED. No question about it. You showed the world why I knew it was you I would have to take the belt from.
Adam Lucas: Thank you, that means a lot.
Chef Viz: Hey, credit where it’s due, but let’s get one thing straight here. If we are talking about who the next challenger should be. You my friend are looking at him, because I am the ONLY one other than yourself who wasn’t pinned or submitted. I’m not going to say the medics didn’t do their job, because they did. Thanks to Stane and his cheap shot, I was taken out good, and I accept that. But you know, and these fans know. You and I have a dance to complete, and that I deserve my one on one shot. I’ll take care of Solomon in good time, but first, you need to stop ducking me and give me my chance. So what do you say Adam, you ready for the big time?
(The crowd roars, as Adam looks out over them. He’d listened to Viz, and the fact was, he agreed with everything he had said. He lifts the mic as the crowd hush a little.)
Deadprez: Adam about to give his response… if he says yes, the roof will blow off this place.
Adam Lucas: Viz, I cannot disagree with a single word you have just said. Well, except for the ‘ducking’ part, because that’s just crap and you know it. YOU are the match I have wanted in forever, because when I talk of status in this company, YOU are someone with the highest. So you know what Viz, I’m pretty sure Kennedy will go for it, so you’re damn straight, you can have your shot. You, Me, King of Elite… Answers World Championship on the line.
(The place erupts as expected, Viz nodding as a grin forms on his face.)
Chef Viz: Nice to see you finally seeing sense. But Adam… your reign ends at King of Elite.
(Adam holds his hand out, he’s still smiling as well.)
Adam Lucas: We’ll see Viz. We’ll see.
(Viz takes Adam’s hand and they shake, for a few moments, then part into a stare down, neither taking their eyes off the other.)
Deadprez: There we have it folks… at King of Elite, it’s going to be Adam Lucas, defending agaisnt Chef Viz in what has to be one of the most eagerly anticipated matches of the year.
Gavin Kirkland: Finally, we will get a champion we can be proud.
Deadprez: I don’t know Gavin… this is a lot more evenly matched that you think. And if Adam pulls this victory off… well, who knows how long he can go.
Eve: It’s going to be one heck of a match, and that’s all that matters. Good luck to both.
Deadprez: Agreed. We are out of time, for Eve and Gavin Kirkland…. We are out of time, THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING 2023 and now we head into 2024! GOODNIGHT EVERYONE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
(The camera cuts back to the ring, where the two are still talking to each other, but the mic no quite picking up what they are saying. It is on that image that the scene slowly fades.)
