(EAW intro plays.)
(Instead of the usual festivities to kick off the show, the camera quickly opens to a shot of the outside of the Coliseo Eduardo Dibós in Lima, Peru. There’s a loud commotion heard in the parking lot area leading into the arena. With there seeming to be a brawl going on before the show can get started. Mr. Wrestling XIX and Korey Gaines are seen trying to fend off a sudden attack by four figures who hound them like a pack of wolves. Although they put up a formidable fight, having already been taken off guard by all of this, along with the numbers game that had ensued, it was made apparent just how much of a corner they were in.)
(Before long it’s revealed to be the members of La Familia, who have had eyes on them these past couple of weeks and certainly have more on them now seeing the type of statement they have not wasted any time making. Roberto and Luis are seen beating down Mr. Wrestling, while Brianna and Valerie are picking apart Gaines. They’re both equally bloody, and are adamant on taking them down one after another, as Brianna quickly grabs Gaines and picks him up to his feet, turning him around and shoving him into the direction of Valerie who delivers a stern Superkick to his jaw! He then turns around, as Brianna grabs a hold of him and hooks the arms, before planting him face first onto the concrete with a Pedigree! With the team’s ‘Nueva Vida’ having connected, Roberto dusts himself and looks toward the rest of the team, quick to bark orders and command what is next.)
Roberto De La Rosa: Finish this off.
(Both Luis and Valerie grab a hold of an unconscious Mr. Wrestling, taking him and placing him on the hood of the rental car. Brianna quickly climbs up on top of it, taking him for herself, before then proceeding to heave him off of the ground…)
(CRASH!)
(And drive Mr. Wrestling straight onto the car windshield with the ‘Crush Culture’ Lifting Rolling Cutter! Blood is seen splattering all over the car and Brianna, as she looks down at him with a disgusted expression on her face before getting off the car, grabbing him by the wrist and pulling him off of it as well and onto the concrete. She makes sure to side his body with his fellow victim, Korey, as she steps back and La Familia takes the time to admire their work. Roberto after a moment, picks up his Hardcore Championship that he left in safe keeping and puts it over his shoulder, leaning down toward the two of them.)
Roberto De La Rosa: Feliz año nuevo.
(Roberto smirks as he looks to the other members of his group, Valerie, Luis, and Brianna, all equally satisfied with what has been done. Before they turn around and leave the bloodied messes that were once Mr. Wrestling XIX and Korey Gaines are dead. It’s not long after that officials quickly run out to check on them, but are unfortunately too late to catch the culprits, as Sunday Night Voltage transitions to regularly scheduled programming.)
(A recap is shown from the Road To Redemption Marquee Event and the adjacent Noche De Violencia: Prince Tohru wins the Extreme Enigma Battle Royale. Donovan Duke, Mia Santoro, and NICHOLISM defeat Princess Candice Blair, Delilah Rose, Miku Sakai, and Caroline in a Voltage versus Showdown brand supremacy tag team match. Dr. Bethany Blue beats Harper Lee under No Holds Barred rules. Charlie Marr wins the Cash in The Vault tournament finals against Shinzo Sasaki making him Mr. CITV. The Jaded Hearts retained their Unified Tag Team Championships against Roberto De La Rosa and Valerie Hellstorm of La Familia. Bea Valentine retains her Specialists Championship inside the Specialists Chamber. Minerva becomes the new Universal Women’s Champion beating Kassidy Heart. And lastly, in the Voltage Extreme Elimination Chamber TWO title changes occur. With Roberto De La Rosa cashing in his 24/7 Contract to become the new Hardcore Champion after TLA was eliminated from the match. And Charlie Marr cashing in his CITV and pinning both Rex McAllister and Drake King to become a two-time EAW World Champion.)
(Meanwhile, on Noche De Violencia: Fire & Ice get a tag team victory against Luis De La Rosa and Valerie Hellstorm of La Familia. In a Championship showcase triple threat match, thanks to interference by Albert Hitchman, Interwire Champion Ronan Malosi gets the win over Hardcore Champion Roberto De La Rosa and Specialists Champion Bea Valentine. Drake King, Jake Smith, and the EAW World Heavyweight Champion Myles get a tag team victory over EAW New Breed Champion Michael Machina, Hans Grayson, and Drake Armstrong. And lastly, to close off the show, Drake Armstrong costs Cy Henderson his match against Jamie O’Hara. Afterward, Jamie and Cy would both team up to take down Drake, the two legends showing their respect toward one another in the end.)
(Sunday Night Voltage then goes to a panaround shot of Coliseo Eduardo Dibós, with the crowd in Lima, Peru on their feet for what is bound to be an exciting show tonight. Although still a bit shaken by what happened before it started, the energy is still through the roof as pyro shoots out and ‘33rd Blakk Glass’ by Sosmula & Zillakami is heard playing. The camera then goes over to the commentary booth where Rich Russillo, James Peters, and Persephone are seen standing by.)
Persephone: WELCOME TO SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE! OH MY GOD I’M SO FUCKING EXCITED FOR THIS!
Rich Russillo: Let me guess…
Persephone: LUIS DE LA ROSA KICKED OFF THE SHOW SO THIS ONLY MEANS GOOD THINGS! LET’S GO VOLTAGE!
Rich Russillo: :francis: Alright. We are just at the tailend of 2023 heading into 2024, and we’re going to end it off with a bang because what a show we have in store for you! The aftermath of Road To Redemption and Noche De Violencia is still underway! And with that we look forward as King of Elite is quickly approaching, and we are just getting underway the King of Elite tournament to see who will represent Voltage in the finals!
James Peters: Luis De La Rosa and Alex Myers face in the first round! Korey Gaines and Mr. Wrestling XIX… well, I guess we’ll have to find out. But on the other hand we have matches between Ruler and Roberto De La Rosa, along with our main event with Donovan Duke facing Lt. Colonel Michael Scott Connor to look toward on the other hand! It’s an exciting feeling, and why waste any time? Let’s get right to it!
(Sunday Night Voltage then transitions over from the commentary desk to a panaround shot of the arena as ‘When Darkness Falls’ by Killswitch Engage begins to blast through the speakers. The crowd begins to give a loud reaction as the camera quickly goes over to reveal a very serious looking, steadfast Drake King making his way out from the backstage area. He does not waste any time beginning to make his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… EAW Hall of Famer… DRAKE KING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Well we know someone who was definitely not happy with how Road To Redemption went down. Drake King walked into Extreme Elimination Chamber with the expectation that he was still walking out your EAW World Champion. What he didn’t expect was for Charlie Marr, someone who had won the Cash in The Vault briefcase earlier in the night, to come out to the ring and cash in his briefcase to win his second EAW World Championship. We heard a tidbit from Drake during the buildup to Noche De Violencia, but I don’t think he really acknowledges what happened at all.
Persephone: Knowing him he’s going to find some stupid loophole so that he can make himself believe it never happened.
James Peters: Admittingly, that’s probably true. If we’re looking at it from an objective standpoint though, Drake probably has his eyes set on getting a rematch for the Championship against Charlie. I don’t think he’s going to be moving on from this anytime soon, and is going to be adamant on getting back what I am certain he believes that he deserves. That starts tonight inside the ring with a live microphone.
(Drake made his way up the steel steps and onto the apron, entering into the ring as he quickly makes his way over and snatches a microphone.)
Drake King: Cut my music.
(Drake signals for ‘When Darkness Falls’ to come to a close as he looks up at the fans. They’re still supportive of him… for some reason… and although he lost his title they’ve grown a new appreciation for him and what he’s been able to do. Drake doesn’t seem to reciprocate any of that though as he shakes his head in frustration.)
Drake King: What we were not going to do was start this Sunday Night Voltage off with lies and deceit. We were not going to kick this show off with whatever stupid celebration Charlie Marr was going to end up having for an EAW World Championship that he DID NOT WIN. I don’t need to explain why, I don’t need to explain how, you can see it for yourself through what happened at Road To Redemption. Charlie’s “victory” is not something that happened, and although there will be plenty of nonbelievers that try and say otherwise, and if they think they have all the answers for something they far from know the truth of? Well I’m God and God says Road to Redemption… DOESN’T COUNT!
(Drake maintains a serious expression, even though he is being an absolute hypocrite right now as many would have expected in a situation like this.)
Drake King: I could go on and on about the number of reasons as to why that is the case. From the fact that the bell had already rung by the time he had “entered” the match, therefore making me the defending Champion by forfeit. Even if you didn’t want to believe that, we can also talk about Charlie interjecting himself into a match that he himself was not a part of. Or maybe if that hasn’t persuaded you enough we can go ahead and say the fact that Rex McAllister was eliminated before me so that automatically makes me the winner because I was the last person in the match. All these reasons, and those devils in the top brass of Elite Answers Wrestling still want to recognize Charlie Marr as the EAW World Champion? I’ve been through a fair share of conspiracies in the past, many against me for simply living and breathing, but this is on a whole new level. What we’re doing here on Sunday Night Voltage is something that we should not be proud about. This is heresy, blasphemy, anything that you can think of in terms of disrespect toward God. I see that, you should see that, and what should be understood is that Charlie Marr STOLE the EAW World Championship from its rightful owner, ME.
(Drake is practically seething now, the crowd murmuring as they listen in to what he has to say. It is apparent that he is very passionate about this topic and is making it known that he’s not going to go quietly in terms of what happened at Road To Redemption. He takes a moment before continuing on with what he has to say.)
Drake King: And I-
(But it isn’t long after that quickly, and expectedly, ‘It Ain’t Safe’ by Skepta begins to blast through the speakers of the arena. The crowd erupts into absolutely thunderous boos as Drake quickly turns to the stage, eyeing the NEW EAW World Champion Charlie Marr as he makes his way out. He’s dressed for the occasion, not competing tonight, but rather celebrating such a momentous victory and his rise back to the top of the totem pole. He is, in fact, in VERY high spirits as he makes his way down the ramp and toward the ring, showing off the title that is wrapped firmly around his waist while he does so.)
Persephone: Oh brother, I have a good feeling of what this guy is going to waffle on about.
Rich Russillo: Well it’s very deserved regardless, Seph. We know what Charlie has done to get to this point, and Road To Redemption was the culmination of such when he not only won the Cash in The Vault briefcase, but on the same night cashed it in to win his second EAW World Championship. Charlie has been looking to take back his position in the company and he did exactly that in the Extreme Elimination Chamber.
James Peters: As much as I hate to say it, Voltage is under his watchful eye now, and Drake King doesn’t seem all that pleased about that. But at the same time, I think Charlie could care even less about his opinion on the matter. Drake, I’m sure, would be eager to have a rematch against the “Champion” in his eyes, but are we even sure that Charlie is going to entertain the idea of facing him? I guess we’ll have to find out.
(Charlie makes his way up the steel steps and onto the apron, entering into the ring as he heads over and takes a microphone for himself from the ringside area. ‘It Ain’t Safe’ from there begins to come to a close, the Champion circling around a stationary Drake King with an amused expression on his face. Once he finds his place inside the ring, across from him, he then begins to speak, not at all in the serious tone that Drake is.)
Charlie Marr: I promised from the very beginning that things would be different around here. Sunday Night Voltage without Charlie Marr at the top for however many years it has been has found itself stopping sharply in its tracks, with the common denominator being your presence having been in my place most of the time, jarring, and that we were going to bring it back to its former glory. I’ll admit that we’re not doing a very good job having you of all people kick off the show, spewing your lies and make-believe about my victory at Road To Redemption.
(Charlie shakes his head in disappointment, a small smirk showing.)
Charlie Marr: You should be thankful, Drake. You should be very thankful actually that it was me that took the title away from you. If it was Rex McAllister, of all people, I’d have a feeling you’d be even more disrespected by the fact. If it was what’s her name that was Ms. Cash in The Vault before me, I’d feel even the slightest pity for you knowing that you were a segway for letting that incompetent whore take an undeserving place at the top of the company. I gave you a way out that works well for both of us. You bear less embarrassment from the fact that you are the start of Charlie Marr’s meteoric rise to greatness once more, and I hold the title that I, quite frankly, should have never lost, a lot more than you.
(Drake does not seem happy about what Charlie is saying, his stance presumably unwavering from what it was previously. But Charlie isn’t here to congratulate him or anything, he’s here to gloat about his own success and will happily make it known.)
Charlie Marr: But if that’s not the route that we want to take then so be it. Frankly it’s taken everything in me not to laugh at the sourpuss mood that you’re in tonight, and I bet that it just grinds your gears knowing that I was able to get the better of not just you, but also that idiot Rex McAllister at the same time. Say what you want about me not being apart of the match or whatever, trying to give yourself credit for whatever hard work you did in that Chamber match beforehand which I could give even less of a fuck about, if you weren’t worried about the Cash in The Vault briefcase holder then you’re stupid as fuck and that’s your fault. You already got cashed in on before, what was going to stop it from happening again dumbass?
(Charlie reminding Drake of what happened with Myles at the same event two years ago doesn’t exactly reassure him all that much, or calm him down. It does the opposite.)
Charlie Marr: Right now, I have what I deserve and now once again, and thank fucking God by the way, Sunday Night Voltage is my show. We finally get to get rid of you and what was an absolutely awful EAW World Championship reign on your behalf because now that it’s finally over… your services are not needed anymore. Charlie Marr being on top of the world once again was going to happen sooner or later, so Drakey, you shouldn’t even be surprised that this came at your expense, and even less surprised that this is my title now.
(Charlie lowers his microphone, as Drake does not waste time beginning to speak.)
Drake King: No, no, this is NOT how we’re going to do things, Charlie. You can’t just make the rules as you go, IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT. That is NOT your title, this is NOT your brand, and this is NOT your company. If anything the last thing that we need is another Charlie Marr title reign that does nothing but waste everyone’s time because the only thing you’re running off is nostalgia fumes and a lucky loophole. You may be credited as the Champion in their books, but you’re far from one in mine. You have done NOTHING to warrant taking that title from me and until you have then I refuse to acknowledge you.
(Charlie chuckles.)
Charlie Marr: A little aggressive now are we, Drake? Let’s take a moment to calm down, take a few deep breaths, because I can understand how hard it is to cope with something like this. You may not want to acknowledge me as a Champion, but it’s not like you had much of a choice to begin with. Because even Gods have to bend at my will, and that is proven right now because this is my title and not yours. Maybe if it was yours you would’ve found a way to stop what I did at Road To Redemption, but unfortunately…
Drake King: Well God and everyone else does not believe in what you have to say, Charlie. There is no reason for ANYONE to believe that is YOUR title and I will prove that any given day of the week. If you really think that it’s yours, then you beat me for it. You beat me for that title. But you haven’t. You think you did, but the reality is that you stole it. And your EAW World Championship reign will forever have an asterisk knowing that you didn’t get the job done, and it’s been nothing but a lie.
Charlie Marr: Is this leading to what I think it’s leading to?
Drake King: I’m challenging you to a match for MY title at King of Elite. And when I successfully defend it you’re going to give it back to me and acknowledge God for the Champion that he is.
(Charlie at this point can’t help but break down in laughter. He takes a painfully long time laughing at Drake’s challenge, to which the challenger looks in confusion at. After sometime, he looks back up at Drake.)
Charlie Marr: :mjlol2: No. :mjlol2:
(Charlie drops his microphone, continuing to laugh as he turns around and makes his way out of the ring. With the interaction done, ‘It Ain’t Safe’ by Skepta begins to play up again. The crowd gives thunderous boos toward Charlie as he makes his way up the ramp and away from the scene, leaving Drake King absolutely flabbergasted inside of the ring. It’s the last shot seen before Sunday Night Voltage begins to fade out from there.)
(Promotional ad for the King of Elite tournament, featuring some of the matches that have already taken place.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘From Now On’ by BAND-MAID can be heard throughout the speakers as subtle reactions are echoed among the audience, with AJ Redding making his way out from the back to the ramp. He has a smile on his face as he’s looking toward the crowd, maintaining his friendly gesture as he walks down the ramp.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! From Auckland, New Zealand, weighing in at 213 pounds… AJ, REDDING!!!
James Peters: AJ Redding looks to continue his momentum from his Fight Grid victory, today could prove to be that day as he can secure his first victory here on Voltage!
Rich Russillo: Well, not exactly clamoring for the man, but he does have quite the big opportunity tonight in a much grander stage that he’s experiencing for the first time in his career. This is the big time, sport. Make the most of the match that you’ve been selected for and the world can see what you’re made of.
Persephone: I’d say something that exerted the slightest effort but.. I just… *really* don’t care.
(‘Insane In The Brain’ by Cypress Hill can be heard throughout the speakers now, as a similar reaction is brought out from the audience in attendance tonight with Piff Fumador making his way out to the ramp. He has an energetic stance, nodding to himself and to the crowd before walking down the ramp.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing his opponent! From Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, weighing in at 165 pounds… PIFF, FUMADOR!!!
James Peters: And here we have Piff Fumador, who has the distinction of being a former New Breed Champion here in EAW. He has experience of championship gold, but tonight will be an indication of how well Piff can do in the current landscape of professional wrestling as we know it. A victory over AJ, could be the momentum starter for Piff that he needs.
Rich Russillo: Well considering Piff has been a champion here at all compared to AJ, who hasn’t, he’s already got the edge of experience and accolades. That should be even more indication for AJ to prove himself here tonight against a man who understands what it’s like to be champion, and stamp his name as a newcomer to follow in the new year.
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: Here we go! AJ and Piff do not waste any time with the more courteous way of starting a match off, as Piff extends his hand out for a handshake, with AJ not hesitating to shake his hand. Very good sportsmanship here from both men tonight as they now begin to circle the ring, this looks to be a great matchup among two newcomers who have much to prove!
Persephone: This is the worst of this job… no bad blood, no fun…
Rich Russillo: Now both men are beginning to step toward one another, as Piff remains light on his feet when he maneuvers right behind AJ and wraps his arms around his waist. The waist lock here being applied, as AJ’s trying to pry Piff’s hands from being interlocked around his waist.. and slowly but surely.. AJ is showcasing that he can play the strength game anytime! AJ’s prying away Piff’s hands slowly but surely… before thinking quickly and catching Piff off guard with a hip toss!! Now Piff’s rolling back up to his feet as he’s rushing back toward AJ with a clothesline, but AJ thinks ahead once more as he ducks the clothesline and Piff turns around RIGHT into a step-up enziguri!!
James Peters: AJ Redding showing that he can be quick with his head all the while applying the pressure! Piff collapses into the mat as he’s crawling about now, and AJ continues to apply this pressure through dragging Piff upward to his feet and shoving him into the corner! AJ now makes the attempt to rush right toward Piff and aim for a running elbow in the corner.. but Piff with a desperate boot across AJ’s jaw that sends AJ stumbling backward here! Now Piff’s getting himself up onto the second turnbuckle here as he’s now switching his positioning as well! Piff may be aiming for the moonsault!
Rich Russillo: NOPE! AJ with a clobbering blow right over the lower back of Piff as now Piff is in a bad spot! His back is turned from AJ completely as he doesn’t seem to have another direction that’ll lead him to the advantage! Now AJ has his arms wrapped around Piff’s waist, and here is AJ using his strength in full display to carry Piff away from the corner and toward the middle of the ring here!! Piff is reaching out for something, but nowhere to go as a GERMAN SUPLEX from AJ plants Piff downward onto the back of his neck!!! Now AJ pins Piff with the hook of the leg for the cover!
ONE!!!
TWO!!!!
James Peters: Kickout from Piff!! AJ nods to the call from the referee, maintaining a far more calm demeanor as he’s dragging Piff right back up to his feet, and he delivers another irish whip that sends Piff reeling into the corner, prone to any attack while he’s leaning against the turnbuckle. AJ rushes toward the ring and he’s able to connect with the running clothesline this time, leaving Piff in a daze as AJ now has Piff in a bad way here! Piff drags AJ away from the corner and situated back to the middle of the ring, before delivering another strong irish whip that sends Piff across the ropes and rebounding back, as AJ aims for a vicious lariat to take Piff back off of his feet!
Rich Russillo: But Piff ducks the lariat!!! He’s able to duck the lariat while rushing the ropes and now rebounding back toward AJ as this is all of momentum in this rush for Piff that’s guiding him, but AJ seems to have another answer as he is aiming for another attempt with the lariat on Piff’s return… BUT PIFF DUCKS AGAIN and his speed is only picking up further!!! AJ is unable to turn his body in time as Piff is rushing toward him, BEFORE NAILING A BICYCLE KICK THAT STAGGERS AJ IMMENSELY! AJ’s stunned as he’s moving backward against the ropes behind him, before stumbling back toward Piff… as ANOTHER bicycle kick is able to knock AJ down!!! With AJ down, Piff is able to keep this newfound momentum going, moving back up toward the second turnbuckle as AJ’s laid out for Piff… AS THE MOONSAULT CONNECTS!! THE COVER!!
ONE!!!!
TWO!!!!
Persephone: Andddd kickout, yep. The routine follows!
James Peters: Piff’s got his eyes set on AJ still, as he’s now looking to get AJ back up to his feet, and as soon as he manages to do so, Piff sends a knife-edge chop right across AJ’s chest without avail! The chop echoes throughout the entire arena as AJ’s feeling the heat of the moment here, but remains headstrong! AJ returns the fire with a CHOP of his own right across Piff’s chest that makes Piff inhale deeply from the impact! But neither man is willing to keep themselves suppressed! Piff with a chop of his own once again across AJ’s chest! AJ does all that he can to keep the pain of the chop dismal before sending another chop of his own right toward Piff’s chest!!!
Rich Russillo: Piff wants to send a third chop for good measure—but AJ stops the chop as he kicks his arm away! Piff clutches his arm as AJ takes advantage by going for his own chop… but Piff with the kick right to his own arm! These two men seem to have an answer for each other’s offense no matter what they do! Piff is rushing the ropes and now running toward AJ—ONLY TO BE DROPPED BY A SUDDEN LARIAT FROM AJ REDDING!!! PIFF IS TURNED INSIDE OUT AS HE’S SQUIRMING AROUND THE RING!
James Peters: AJ sees that Piff is not exactly down just yet however! Piff is stumbling back over onto his feet as he’s using the ropes to bring himself up, now AJ has Piff directly in his sights here… rushing toward Piff as he’s looking to knock Piff over the ropes and onto the ringside area! BUT PIFF THINKS FAST! HE TOSSES AJ RIGHT OVER THE TOP ROPE AS AJ COLLAPSES ONTO THE FLOOR OUTSIDE! Now AJ is in a very bad position himself, he will need to figure his way out of this predicament quickly if he wants to be the man with the momentum! BUT ITS NOT LOOKING GOOD ‘CAUSE PIFF IS RUSHING TOWARD THE ROPES.. AND SPRINGS HIMSELF THROUGH THE ROPES WITH A TOPE SUICIDA!!
Persephone: Well that’s something to get the crowd interested. How fortunate for them!
Rich Russillo: One hell of a tope from Piff tonight as he’s able to knock AJ down! Now he’s getting himself back up to his feet and eyeing up at the referee, understanding that he needs to be incredibly mindful of the count that will enact itself here! Piff is dragging AJ back up to his feet, and he’s making sure that he drags AJ right into the ring! He wants to put away AJ through his own merit rather than a potential count-out victory! Piff gets back into the ring, seeing that AJ is incredibly groggy while stumbling upward to his own two feet… AS AJ TURNS RIGHT INTO A ‘DDTHC’ FROM PIFF!!! STANDING TORNADO DDT LANDS AS THE COVER IS MADE!
ONEEEE!!!!
TWOOO!!!!
THR—
James Peters: AJ with the kickout!!! Piff is looking at the referee in bewilderment, but he doesn’t let this get into his head for long! Piff’s now dragging AJ back toward the corner, and he has him lined up in the perfect position as there’s a great moment for Piff to make a triumphant return to the EAW ring with this victory! He’s up on the top turnbuckle and with AJ looking to be down… Piff aims for the ‘420 SPLASH’!!!!! FOR THE WIN!!!
Rich Russillo: BUT AJ IS ABLE TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY IN TIME!!! Piff lands right on his feet before rolling through after being unable to connect with the maneuver, as Piff quickly turns himself around looking to rush back toward AJ and take him off his feet—BUT AJ WITH A HUGE JUMPING KNEE THAT STAGGERS THE DAYLIGHTS WITHIN PIFF FUMADOR!!! PIFF IS STILL STANDING BUT ABSOLUTELY IN NO PLACE TO FIGHT BACK, AJ CONTINUES THE PRESSURE WITH A SUPERKICK!! FOLLOWED BY QUICKLY DRAGGING PIFF INTO HIS OWNS—WITH A SUDDEN BRAINBUSTER!!! ‘BRAIN DAMAGE’ CONNECTS AS AJ MAKES THE COVER!!!
ONEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOO!!!
THRE—
James Peters: NO ONE THERE! KICKOUT! AJ IS WIDE-EYED AS HE EYES DIRECTLY TOWARD THE REFEREE! AJ DOESN’T WANT TO LINGER ON THE KICKOUT FOR LONG, HE ROLLS HIMSELF UNDER THE ROPES AND ONTO THE APRON! HE SEES PIFF SLOWLY RISING TO HIS OWN FEET AS THERE’S HIS MOMENT TO PUT HIS OPPONENT AWAY! NOW AJ IS LEAPING UPWARD ONTO THE ROPES AS PIFF IS MAKING HIS TURN TOWARD AJ… AJ GOES FOR THE ‘HAKAI’ SPRINGBOARD METEORA TO PUT PIFF AWA—
Rich Russillo: SUPERKICK!!! CATCHES AJ IN MID AIR AS AJ FOLDS LIKE AN ACCORDION! PIFF IS NOW DRAGGING AJ OVER TO THE CORNER IN A HURRY ONCE MORE, HE’S CLIMBING RIGHT UP TO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE AND… THAT’S IT!!!! ‘420 SPLASH’!!!!! ‘420 SPLASH’ CONNECTS AS PIFF HAS THE LEG HOOKED FOR THE PIN!!
ONEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNER… PIFF, FUMADOR!!!
Persephone: That went by much quicker than I anticipated. :notbad:
James Peters: A great win for Piff Fumador tonight as he gets the win over AJ Redding, AJ had a great showing here in his own right as well, but the former New Breed Champion is proving that he has what it takes to be a competitor here in EAW all together.
Rich Russillo: Can’t deny that, Piff set out to secure this victory here tonight and did exactly that. AJ couldn’t continue with back-to-back wins, but this was a very good showing from both men here tonight regardless of that. Congratulations to Piff Fumador.
(‘Inside The Brain’ begins to play once again as Piff returns to his feet. The referee raises Piff’s hand, as Piff has an ecstatic expression with his return to the EAW ring as he’s raising his fists in the air while the referee checks on a disappointed AJ Redding before the scene fades.)
(Commercial for season 3 of anime series Jujutsu Kaisen.)
(The camera cuts back to ringside where Bella Braxton is shown in the ring with a microphone.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the NEW EAW Hardcore Champion Roberto De La Rosa alongside Luis De La Rosa, Valerie Hellstorm, and Brianna Hill… LA FAMILIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
(‘Peligro’ by Peso Pluma hits to boos from the crowd as La Familia makes their entrance.)
Rich Russillo: At Road to Redemption we were all shooken when Roberto De La Rosa out of nowhere cashed in during the Extreme Elimination Chamber to defeat TLA for the Hardcore Championship.
Persephone: Don’t forget that Luis is also champion. :100:
James Peters: The crowd definitely is not sure what to think about the way Roberto went about winning the championship but he was fully within his rights to cash in whenever he wanted.
(La Familia makes their way down to the ring with Roberto De La Rosa leading the way with the EAW Hardcore Championship held high above his head. Luis De La Rosa is shown trying to hold it as well as they eventually make their way into the ring. Bella hands the microphone over to Roberto as the music quiets down.)
Roberto De La Rosa: ¡Es verdad, mi gente! ¡El gran luchador Roberto De La Rosa es ahora su campeón!
(The crowd gives off a mixed reaction as Roberto De La Rosa stands on the top turnbuckle celebrating with the championship.)
Roberto De La Rosa: I may be El Campeón De México and Mexico’s Savior but we aren’t exactly in Mexico anymore are we? I mean I can tell by the way you people are responding to me but that’s okay. We can’t always perform in front of crowds as hot and as great as those in Mexico. I’m sure that wherever we are is great too. Uhh you know here in Vene… I mean Guata… hold up mi raza hold up.
(Valerie Hellstorm is shown whispering into Roberto’s ear to remind him where they are currently as the insulted crowd begins to boo loudly.)
Roberto De La Rosa: You know that El Padrino has all the love in the world for his Peruvian hermanos!
(The crowd continues to boo clearly not believing the amount of love that Roberto claims to have for them. Luis De La Rosa is shown snatching the microphone away from Roberto.)
Luis De La Rosa: ¡Callate pendejos! As one half of the EAW Hardcore Champions I demand that you show us some respect! Not only that but you are looking at the next King of Elite! At Road to Redemption we shocked the world by winning this campeonato fair and square! And we should be the tag team champions too but just like Ronan at the Christmas show those putas cheated! And soon we will have even more gol-
(The crowd is booing so loudly that Luis De La Rosa cannot even be heard. Eventually Valerie Hellstorm rips the mic away from Luis.)
Valerie Hellstorm: Calm down, amigos. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves here. Yes, we can talk about the Christmas show and Road To Redemption, but what I’m looking forward to the most is 2024 and the future of La Familia… and I think it’s safe to say that the future of La Familia is right here.
(Valerie looks over to Brianna, who has her arms crossed with a big smirk on her face. The crowd continues to show their displeasure with what she did to get into the group in the first place and that was brutally attack TLA.)
Valerie Hellstorm: Not only do we have a new Championship to our name, but we also have a new member. I’ve made it my personal mission to help Brianna Hill to the promised land here in EAW, and seeing as I’ve already had my share of success as a member of La Familia, I’d figure that I’d share the wealth with my protege here and have her join our ranks to become even stronger than we were before. This is a monumental inclusion and I do believe that this is the move that was necessary to make in order to grow.
(Roberto chuckles as he himself looks at Brianna as well, a nod of acknowledgement from the Hardcore Champion toward her as he continues to speak himself.)
Roberto De La Rosa: With this Hardcore Championship around our waist we look to bring prestige, honor, and glory to a division that has long forgotten its values. While I never meant for TLA to have been a victim of our goals and ambitions, what we did was proof that we are willing to do anything in order to get ahead in this company. That it is all business when it comes to the four of us and that will continue to be the case as we head into the Año Nuevo. Now we look toward King of Elite, and what we are going to be able to do there in order to further our status in Elite Answers Wrestling. And with what is in store for Valerie and Brianna, va a quedar perfecto.
(“Ambitionz az a Ridah” by Tupac hits as the crowd explodes into cheers and TLA walks out onto the stage holding a microphone. TLA has an angry look on his face as he glares down at La Familia in the ring but it soon turns into a smile once he sees the crowd and the warm reception he is getting from the Lima fans. TLA stands up on the stage as he addresses La Familia in the ring.)
TLA: Tranquilo tranquilo down there hermanos. Imma let y’all have yo moment for real. Get that fiesta in. Get yo celebration on n shit. Even if shit be at my expense. Nah nah y’all said it is just business tho? Estoy muy aliviado. I’m real glad to hear that yo that y’all mugging my ass and taking my championship just business out here. I was worried shit was personal. I might have to get upset otherwise.
(La Familia is shown inviting TLA down to the ring most likely to continue where they left off from Road to Redemption but TLA isn’t going to fall for that.)
TLA: Nah imma stay up here vatos where it is nice and safe. Con mi gente. But if y’all wanna get that gang warfare on you know that I am all game. Pero like I said I ain’t here to ruin yo moment. Imma let you get that in real quick cuz if I am being for real y’all done did me a favor.
(La Familia is shown looking confused in the ring as TLA continues to talk.)
TLA: Por favor compréndalo… when I was the EAW Hardcore Champion I was all in on that motherfucker. I went all out to make that shit the best championship on Voltage and in EAW as a whole. Despite people telling me the whole way through that it was a futile effort. Everyone telling me nah TLA you just wasting yo time in the midcard you should be competing for that World Title. Despite everyone saying nah you ain’t El Campeon, Drake is the real champion on Voltage. You gotta get back up in that main event game. I stay hustling all year long doing some of my best work pumping out them classic matches semana tras semana. I ain’t even got nominated for none of them EAW Awards cuz apparently the Hardcore Champion ain’t even qualify for none of that. Nah I done went all in and I turned that championship that you are carrying now Roberto into the most must-see piece of gold on this entire roster and I ain’t got no appreciation for it aside from these great fans who been rollin’ with yo boi since day one. And the thing is Roberto I was addicted. I woulda kept on keeping on doing that shit until I went straight loco or I retired with that championship. Cuz I just ain’t had it in me to give it up.
(TLA points to the championship on Roberto’s shoulder.)
TLA: Pero you done decided to cash in and jack that shit from a vato. You took that shit away from me. You freed me and unlike everyone else around here who spends all they time bitching and moaning and blaming other people for their failures… I am built differently. These people know who the fuck I be and they know what I be about. When shit is down I hop right back on up into the game and I get mine. So gracias Roberto cuz you and y’all Familia done set me free from that championship and now imma get right back to where I left off when I first came here to Voltage in the first place. Sliding right on back into that main event scene like I ain’t never left and imma put errybody in this company on notice. I don’t give a damn who you are or how good y’all think you are. The past year you have all been on borrowed time. I’m done taking a back seat. You all on the list and imma run through all of y’all and become that World Champion like everybody around here already knows that I should be.
(The crowd cheers as TLA hypes them up with the revelation that he is now gunning for the EAW World Championship in 2024.)
TLA: Y’all know I just luv to see Latinos succeed in this business Roberto so you take that championship and become a real champion with it. Y’all got my full endorsement. But you going to have to do a lot better than being the guy who won a strap off jumping a beaten hombre with he gang and then in his first night as champion lost to Ronan Malosi. Nah you got a long way to go and don’t you go forgetting about me neither. Cuz I might be looking a different direction but I ain’t forgetting about what y’all done did. I ain’t scurred to throw down. You dealing with the vato loco who done stepped to New Eden all by himself so I ain’t afraid to take you and yo homies on neither. You using all these others to get ahead ese you know that we can just as easily have ourselves some gang warfare up in these calles if you feel me.
(Roberto and Luis look at one another, not really taking the threats that TLA is putting out there very seriously. Dismissing any sort of threat that the former Champion is putting out right now.)
Luis De La Rosa: While it would be nice to entertain whatever revenge plot you have for La Familia heading into King of Elite, unfortunately the Hardcore Champions are going to have our hands full. It’s a shame because I think I speak for all of us when I say that we wouldn’t mind beating you again just like we did at Road To Redemption. It’s a shame, because you didn’t put up a fight then, what makes us think that you’re going to put up a fight now?
(Luis chuckles to himself as the crowd continues to boo, both them and TLA know it was completely circumstantial how it came about. With him having already gone through a hellacious Extreme Elimination Chamber and being attacked from behind and pummeled down with a pair of brass knuckles, he wasn’t exactly in the best position to fight back. But none of La Familia were going to tell you that themselves.)
Roberto De La Rosa: TLA, in case it wasn’t made apparent before, soy el campeón ahora. I man the ship and unfortunately for you, you run on our time. We tell you when you face me for the Hardcore Championship and unfortunately for you that will not be anytime soon. You have to earn another opportunity just as I did when I won the 24/7 Battle Royale at Pain For Pride, and until then you are far from the criteria required to even be considered for a match against Roberto De La Rosa. That’s not me saying it from a subjective standpoint at all. That’s just facts, and those facts are ones that you are unwilling to accept for yourself. So much so that you are out here tonight trying to justify coming at us for your unfortunate luck at Road To Redemption. Eso no es culpa nuestra, señor.
TLA: Believe it or not I don’t care what none of y’all pendejos got to say. You can run and hide all you want deny me any rematches you want. But you best not forget that you the ones who started all of this. You can decide if you wanna be a fighting champion or not. But you ain’t going to be the ones who decide when I come for yo culos. I don’t care if it was personal or just business y’all come for el rey you best be prepared for them consequences. But I can tell y’all ain’t got the cojones right now. So don’t worry cobardes imma real patient vato. I’ll be there when y’all decide to settle things. Tho maybe the question y’all should be asking yo selves is much more important. Donde estaras? Where will you be when I decide I wanna settle things?
(TLA drops the microphone and goes backstage as the camera fades into a commercial.)
(Commercial for Fortnite and their new feature, “Fortnite: Festival” featuring Ronan Malosi.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! And it is a first round match in the King of Elite tournament;
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(PA’ ROMPERLA by Bad Bunny and Don Omar has been playing, and that’s because Luis De La Rosa is still in the ring after La Familia’s promo earlier. As he waits in the ring, Bella begins to speak.)
Bella Braxton: Already in the ring… From Hidalgo, Mexico weighing in at 170 pounds he is LUISSSSSSSSSSSSSS DE LA ROSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa claims to be the EAW Hardcore Champion which I think is up for debate but I guess he can call himself whatever he wants.
Persephone: And you will show mi amor some respect! These Latino fans here in Peru are just jealous that Luis is so much better and more successful than they are. But they should be worshipping him as a hero!
James Peters: Well Luis might not be officially the Hardcore Champion but if he can win this tournament he will officially be the King of Elite. We will see if he can make it happen. Let’s goooo!!!
(‘Soundtrack 2 My Life’ – Kid Cudi hits to cheers from the crowd.)
Bella Braxton: And their opponent from Seattle, Washington weighing in at 180 pounds they are the “Guardian Angel” ALEXXXXXXXXXXXXXX MYERRRSSSS!!!
(Alex Myers makes their way down to the ring looking very morose and serious. While the fans were loudly cheering Alex, Alex is clearly all focused on winning tonight and care little about anything else. Before long, they begin walking down the ramp, heading towards the ring.)
Rich Russillo: This match should be great. It is always great to see Alex Myers in action.
James Peters: Alex and NICHOLISM got a big victory at Road to Redemption and I can tell they are hoping to carry on the momentum here tonight.
Rich Russillo: Well there is no better way to do so than by winning the King of Elite tournament! Alex’s journey starts tonight!
Persephone: Or more likely ends tonight! Against Luis this creepo has no shot! We already saw what La Familia could do earlier because of Luis. With those two losers Gaines and Mr. Wrestling out of the way, this tournament is HIS!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: We are underway as the Voltage crowd is hyped up for this clash between Luis De La Rosa and Alex Myers. Luis is getting all up in Alex’s face talking smack but Alex doesn’t seem phased by it. Alex just laughs it off as they return to their corner and pace around the ring methodically stalking their opponent waiting for an opening. Alex appears to be filled with a lot of confidence here tonight and that doesn’t seem to make Luis very happy as they charge in lunging at Alex-
James Peters: But Alex moves out of the way and Luis stumbles into the corner. Luis looks enraged but then runs up to the top rope and raises his hands high in the air as if to celebrate a victory that he has not yet obtained. Alex mockingly claps for Luis and his celebration but he is the only one in attendance who seems to be doing so as the crowd just rains down boos on Luis who looks even more annoyed by that. Luis needs to get his head back into the game and gets down from the turnbuckle and turns back towards Alex once more.
Rich Russillo: Alex Myers is shown reclining in the corner just waiting for Luis De La Rosa to get the posing out of his system. Alex is not in any rush to get this thing started knowing Luis will inevitably make a mistake. Luis approaches Alex in the ring and looks to lock up. They do so and Alex quickly traps Luis into a Side Headlock. Alex taking control of this matchup in the opening moments but Luis throws Alex back first up against the ropes. The referee counts Alex off and they eventually release the hold. Luis walks away from Alex with a hard slap to the face before flexing in the ring to celebrate the disrespect. Alex remains calm, not bothered whatsoever by Luis and his constant taunting.
James Peters: Luis De La Rosa yells at Alex Myers to come at him as Alex looks to lock up in the ring once again. But as soon as Luis comes charging in he switches it up and goes for a Roundhouse Kick! But Alex ducks beneath it and grabs the leg of Luis twisting it around with a takedown putting Luis on his back! Alex now pointing out the cheers from the crowd as Luis slaps the mat enraged. Things are clearly not going as Luis had hoped for.
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa back up and charges at Alex, quickly delivering a knee to the midsection in anger. Luis is dispensing with the lockups and technical wrestling as he begins to unleash an all out assault on Alex just throwing punch after punch. Alex back up and eats a hard kick to the gut from Luis. Luis punching Alex in the face as they stagger backwards against the ropes nearly falling through them. Luis punching away at Alex before putting them neck first on the middle ropes and choking them out.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! Enough Luis let them go!
Persephone: Don’t you dare disqualify Luis!
Rich Russillo: But then the match would be over faster.
Persephone: But who would want that?
James Peters: Luis De La Rosa releases the illegal rope choke just in time as the referee lets him off with a stern warning. Luis charges in grabbing Alex and lifts them up into a Suplex position before throwing them forward. Stun Gun across the top rope! Alex goes gut first into the top rope before tumbling back down into the ring. Alex is slowly back up now and eats a series of hard right hands from Luis laying into his opponent. Luis goes to whip Alex across the ring-
Rich Russillo: But Alex Myers reverses it! Alex reversing that Irish Whip and sending Luis De La Rosa across the ring instead. Alex catches Luis and spins him around into a devastating Spinebuster down to the mat! Alex grabs the hair of Luis yanking him up and begins slugging at him repeatedly! Luis falls into the corner but Alex won’t stop their assault and they are getting some payback against Luis for the shots he took a few moments earlier in this match. The referee counting Alex off Luis in the corner forcing them to back off and Luis falls down to his knees in front of Alex. Alex hooks the head of Luis and falls backwards with a standard DDT! Alex planting Luis and they slide into the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
James Peters: Quick kickout there from Luis De La Rosa! Alex Myers staying on Luis as they roll on top of him and begin bashing his face in with forearm shots to the skull. Alex whips Luis hard across the ring sending him flipping upwards onto the top rope before Luis flips back downwards landing hard on the back of his neck. Alex grabs the leg of Luis yanking him into the middle of the ring and goes for another cover.
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!-
Rich Russillo: Another kickout by Luis De La Rosa! Luis pulls himself up by the ropes as Alex Myers grabs him and they whip Luis across the ring. Luis back across the ring… Alex with a big Superkick to the face!!!-
James Peters: No! Luis De La Rosa grabs the ropes and pulls himself under the bottom rope to the outside of the ring looking to escape. Luis getting a breather as Alex looks annoyed at Luis’ evasive actions getting out of the ring. Alex now doing stretches in the ring and daring Luis to come fight them.
Persephone: Don’t take that Luis! Alex is insulting your bravery! You are tougher than they ever could be!
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa charges back into the ring at full speed looking to lay out Alex Myers with a Running Clothesline! But Alex ducks beneath! Alex grabs Luis from behind and hooks in a Sleeper Hold! Alex going to put Luis to sleep here tonight!
Persephone: Don’t go to sleep Luis! That’s what my bed is for later tonight!
Rich Russillo: Ayo. But Luis De La Rosa throws himself backwards violently throwing both himself and Alex Myers into the corner. Luis with hard back elbows as he thrashes and tries to break free of the Sleeper Hold. Luis is all up in the ropes now as Alex ultimately is forced to release the hold.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
James Peters: As soon as Alex Myers releases the hold Luis De La Rosa begins to kick hard at his gut with repeated strikes eventually knocking Alex down in the corner. Now the boot to the neck of Alex and they are being choked out here. The referee has to reprimand Luis who backs off before charging back across the ring with a Double Running Knee Strike to the face.
Rich Russillo: Luis De La Rosa soaking in the boos of the crowd before turning back to Alex Myers and yanking their leg out into the middle of the ring. Alex shoves Luis away with their feet before getting back up-
James Peters: SUPERKICK TO THE HEAD OF ALEX MYERS! Alex whirls around as Luis De La Rosa gets in position for another!
Persephone: Kick their head right off Luis mi amor!
Rich Russillo: Double Superkick from Luis De La Rosa lands on Alex Myers! Luis falls into the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
James Peters: Kickout by Alex Myers at two! They stay alive here! Luis De La Rosa back up to his feet as he kicks at Alex who slowly gets back up to their hands and knees. Alex crawling back up but Luis grabs their head and throws a hard right hand. But Alex gets up anyway almost ignoring the pain of that shot. Another one from Luis batters Alex back up against the ropes. Alex whipped across the ring… But Luis is waiting for them!
Rich Russillo: A THIRD SUPERKICK TO THE FACE FROM LUIS DE LA ROSA! DOWN GOES ALEX MYERS! LUIS INTO ANOTHER COVER AND THIS COULD BE IT!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
James Peters: Kickout again by Alex Myers! Luis De La Rosa slapping the mat now in rage and cussing out Alex but the audio didn’t quite pick that up. We would have probably had to bleep it out anyway.
Persephone: Yes! Show Alex some of that passionate anger! Let it all out! He’s so sexy when he’s mad! I’d let him-
Rich Russillo: We don’t need to hear the details… But Luis De La Rosa now applying a Sleeper Hold on the downed Alex Myers. Alex in a seated position so can’t break out of it as easily as Luis did before. Alex might be fading here and their chances of staying awake in this match fading just as quickly! Alex is not moving much as the referee checks the arm lifting it to see if Alex has passed out from the Sleeper. But Luis falls backwards dragging Alex down to the mat with the Sleeper still applied in. Alex lifts up a leg trying to swing back up to a seated position. It looks like there is still some life left! Alex manages to swing around and get back up to their knees! And soon enough Alex is back up to their feet and lifts Luis up onto their shoulders! Alex breaks free of the Sleeper Hold! Alex lifts up Luis!!! FINAL SYMPHONY!!!
James Peters: No! Luis De La Rosa slips down onto the back of Alex Myers and falls behind them! Luis grabs Alex and runs them towards the ropes tossing Alex up over the top rope and to the outside! Alex goes flying to the outside of the ring as Luis catches a breather inside the ring. Luis looks to go after Alex on the outside but the referee is blocking this and instead begins the ten count.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Rich Russillo: Alex Myers is stirring on the outside of the ring and Luis De La Rosa is not at all interested in waiting for the count. Luis rolls to the outside of the ring as Alex is back up to their feet. Several shots to the face from Luis before slamming Alex’s head into the barricade at ringside. Alex falls up against the barricade as Luis lights up their chest with repeated back chops. Luis then tosses Alex back into the ring looking to finish them off.
James Peters: The crowd continues to boo Luis De La Rosa despite Persephone’s anger with them. Luis up to the top rope now looking to finish Alex off here tonight…
Rich Russillo: LUIS DE LA ROSA WITH A MOONSAULT FROM THE TOP ROPE LANDING ON ALEX MYERS! THE COVER AND THIS HAS TO BE IT!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
James Peters: The kickout from Alex Myers! What will it take to put Alex away here tonight? Luis De La Rosa has to be getting frustrated with the resilience of his opponent! Luis grabs Alex and rolls them back up to their feet. Luis slugs Alex hard sending them back up into the ropes. Luis now using the ropes to choke away at Alex by putting pressure on the neck. But suddenly Alex retaliates with a hard back kick to the gut out of nowhere. Luis lunges towards Alex who moves out of the way causing Luis to run into the ropes. Alex then runs off the opposite side of the ropes-
Rich Russillo: And runs right into a Running Shin Kick from Luis De La Rosa!!! Alex collapses once more to the mat and just can’t seem to catch a break as Luis continues to control this contest. Luis grabs the skull of Alex and pulls them into a Suplex position. He lifts Alex up before dropping them with a Snap Suplex right in the middle of the ring. Alex rolls back up but Luis runs the ropes springboarding off the middle rope and landing on Alex’s shoulders. Hurricanrana connects tossing Alex across the ring and stumbling into the corner. Luis then charges in to follow up with a Running Dropkick to the face sending Alex staggering back out to land on his back in the middle of the ring. Luis now going up top and what does he have planned here?!?!?
James Peters: DESTRIPADA!!! DESTRIPADA FROM THE TOP ROPE AS LUIS DE LA ROSA COMES CRASHING DOWN ON TOP OF ALEX MYERS!-
Rich Russillo: No! Alex Myers moved out of the way!!! Luis De La Rosa lands on his feet as Alex rolls back up to their feet. Alex charges in at Luis knocking him down with a Running Clothesline. Luis back up as Alex grabs him and kicks him in the gut. Alex with a Snap DDT dropping Luis down to the mat. Alex now going up to the top rope… Flying Elbow Drop off the top from Alex! Alex slides into the cover!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Persephone: NO!
James Peters: Luis De La Rosa kicks out at two! Alex Myers staggers back up against the ropes as they get up the toll from the match clearly taking here as both competitors meet in the middle of the ring. They begin exchanging punches in the ring. LUIS! ALEX! LUIS! ALEX! LUIS! ALEX! ALEX! ALEX! Alex eventually getting the upperhand knocking Luis down on his ass in the ring. But Luis back up as he goes up towards the ropes and gets pummeled on repeatedly from shots from Alex sending him against the ropes. Alex whips Luis across the ring Luis comes running back across.
Rich Russillo: And Luis De La Rosa eats a big Superkick to the face from Alex Myers! Alex is rolling now as both competitors slowly back up to their feet. Alex takes Luis down with a Clothesline but Luis keeps getting back up. Alex grabs Luis from behind with a Twisting Neckbreaker dropping him down to the mat as Luis desperately crawls into the corner trying to get away from this series of maneuvers that Alex is laying into him with.
James Peters: Luis De La Rosa pulls himself up in the corner but Alex Myers comes charging in! Running Knee Strike into the corner with authority leveling Luis who I think was just knocked out right then and there with that blow! Alex grabs the arm of Luis yanking him backwards into the middle of the ring before dropping him with an Armbreaker. Alex now going up to the top rope once again…
Rich Russillo: Alex Myers off the top with the Doctor Sleep! Alex driving their knees right into the skull of Luis! Alex now picking Luis up…
James Peters: ALEX MYERS CONNECTS WITH THE FINAL SYMPHONY!!! THE COVER!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… ALEXXX MYERRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
( ‘Soundtrack 2 My Life’ – Kid Cudi hits to cheers from the crowd. The crowd is happy to see Luis De La Rosa lose a match here tonight. Alex pulls themself off of Luis and return to their feet.)
Persephone: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! FUCK YOU ALEX! FUCK MY LIFE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
(Alex Myers has their arm raised in victory by the referee as the loud cheers continue, meanwhile Luis rolls out of the ring in pain.)
Rich Russillo: Well tonight was a bad night for Luis and apparently Persephone as well. But a great night for Alex Myers who continues to rise here on Voltage to being one of the biggest superstars of the future!
James Peters: Alex Myers might already be a superstar Rich. Especially if they keep on racking up Ws like this!
(The camera cuts to a commercial for the Eclipse Diemos biopic and the raging debate on Twitter as to whether it should be made or not.)
(The camera finds its way backstage where Hayley Morrow is walking. Hayley is minding her own business and lost in her own thoughts as she prepares for her match later tonight with Mia Santoro. She looks thoughtful and focused, and does not see the man she’s been interacting with for the past few weeks standing off to the side. As she meanders past him, he gently calls her name.)
???: Hayley.
(The sound of his voice stops Hayley in her tracks and snaps her out of her thoughts. She turns and looks, coming face to face with none other than Ruler. Ruler steps out of the shadows and in front of Hayley and she gazes up at him.)
(The last few times these two have interacted, it has been Hayley pursuing Ruler, but she does not want to read too much into the fact he has stepped into her path tonight. She hesitates, deciding whether or not she wants to speak, or if there is anything more they could say to one another. After a moment, she lets out a small sigh.)
Hayley Morrow: Ruler. To what do I owe this pleasure?
Ruler: Before I answer, you looked deep in thought. I’m not interrupting, am I?
(Hayley shook her head.)
Hayley Morrow: Of course not.
(Ruler expected as much. He took a moment to look at Hayley, who clearly wasn’t confident as she stood before him. She looks as if there are a million and one things she wants to say to him, but she doesn’t know how to express herself. Ruler schooled his features into a look that he felt would put her at ease.)
Ruler: Very well. I was opening to steal a few moments of your time, as you have been doing of me recently.
Hayley Morrow: Alright, that’s fair, although I am not sure what there is to talk about.
(Ruler looks her in the eyes before he speaks.)
Ruler: I just stopped you because I wanted to tell you that I thought you did a nice job in the Extreme Enigma Battle Royal a few weeks ago at Road to Redemption.
(Hayley has been doing a good job of keeping a stoic look on her face before the thought of the Battle Royal in her mind leads to a more prominent frown taking over her face and she looks down at the floor for a moment before looking back up at Ruler.)
Hayley Morrow: Yeah. Yeah. Sure I did. It was the highlight of my career. Road to Redemption was a complete flop for me. I didn’t do well at all. Hell, I was taken out of the match early. It wasn’t much to go off of or base an opinion on if you ask me.
Ruler: You don’t need to be so hard on yourself. I think you did fine. Yeah, you didn’t win at Road to Redemption, but you showed in that match that you are a very strong competitor who no doubt has a bright future in this company.
(That remark certainly broke the stone expression Hayley had on her face. She was certainly NOT expecting Ruler of all people to say that. Is he legitimately trying to help her out.)
Ruler: Face it. Battle royales are very tricky and even when you train the best you can, the numbers game is sometimes unavoidable. You just need to develop the head on a swivel mentality in matches like that.
(Hayley has an unreadable expression on her face once again as she listens to what Ruler has to say. It is almost like she is absorbing the information given to her from a competitor who is a former New Breed Champion and also knows what it takes to be successful in EAW. A few weeks ago, Ruler was trying to do the same thing, but it was different this time. On the last Voltage, Hayley declared she was going to win the Extreme Enigma Battle Royal, but she didn’t.)
Ruler: Believe me, When you get a little more experience around here, the better it will benefit you. You have all the potential in the world. You just need to develop your skills and your arsenal to turn yourself into the competitor that you know and that I know you can be.
Hayley Morrow: Since we’re speaking about Road to Redemption, I mean you had an amazing victory yourself at Road to Redemption in that tag team match. You guys just completely destroyed Showdown and showed what Voltage was all about.
Ruler: Did anybody have any doubts about us? Especially when you have NICHOLISM on one team. Not only did we win, NICHOLISM picked up the fall. Showed those four losers what happens when you choose to sneak attack and doubt the capabilities that NICHOLISM has… and the other two as well, I guess.
Hayley Morrow: The other two… you guess?
Ruler: You know exactly who I’m talking about.
(Ruler rolls his eyes at the thought of Donovan and Mia. They held up their end of the bargain but their alliance was over… and he wasn’t entirely heartbroken at that thought.
Ruler: Look, it’s not a mystery that I don’t like Donovan Duke. I also don’t care much for your opponent later tonight in Mia Santoro. But sometimes the ends justify the means. If NICHOLISM teaming with those two nutcases means that NICHOLISM is getting closer to their goals, then I will “play nice” long enough to get the job done and then it’s back to normal. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Hayley Morrow: What are your goals? What is the future for NICHOLISM?
Ruler: The goals for NICHOLISM aren’t any different than anybody else’s goals around here, but we are willing to do whatever it takes to reach those goals. That’s what differentiates NICHOLISM from many others around here.
Ruler: We want to be the best and we know we can be the best. Sure we’ve both had numerous opportunities this season and things haven’t worked out for us this season doesn’t take away from what we can do in the ring. That’s why either Alex Myers or myself are going to win the King of Elite tournament. Alexis and myself? We’ve been where you are right now and it sucks.
Hayley Morrow: It does suck. No need to remind me about that.
Ruler: Look. The frustrations you are feeling isn’t because of anything you’ve done. You are lost, but in time, you will find your way.
Hayley Morrow: What do you mean by that?
Ruler: What I mean is that even though things haven’t exactly been going exactly how you’ve wanted. In due time, you’ll get exactly what you want. It will happen.
(Hayley takes a moment to think about what Ruler just said. Yes, she’s frustrated, but at the end of the day, if she keeps working at this then she’ll get the success she wants.)
Hayley Morrow: I understand, and I appreciate you saying this to me. I wasn’t sure if I was overstepping by approaching you or whatever, but I do know that I want to be successful here. I want to make the most of my time on Voltage. I’ll get what I want and that journey starts tonight. And who knows? Maybe we will both end up getting what we want in the most unexpected ways.
(Hayley turns around and walks away and as she walks away, she walks past Alex Myers. Alex is looking a little surprised at the conversation and interaction between Hayley and Ruler. Alex shrugs it off as they walk over to Ruler, curious about what went down between their tag team partner and Hayley Morrow.)
Alex Myers: Hey, Hunter.
Ruler: Hey.
Alex Myers: Hunter, what in the world was that all about? I mean what are you doing with her?
(Ruler gets a smile on his face as he pats his friend on the shoulder.)
Ruler: Oh, Alexis. It’s nothing to worry about. All I am doing is planting the seeds.
Alex Myers: Planting the seeds?
Ruler: Exactly. Planting the seeds.
Alex Myers: You’re gonna have to give me a little bit more to go on, Hunter. What exactly are you planting the seeds for?
(Ruler pats Alex on the shoulder once more, trying to convene reassurance.)
Ruler: Alexis. I am planting the seeds because I believe that Miss Hayley Morrow will be very useful for us in the future.
Alex Myers: How will she be useful?
Ruler: Trust me. She’ll be very beneficial to NICHOLISM in the future. I guarantee it.
(The final shot has Ruler walking away from Alex to go about business. Alex is still a little confused, but they look the same the way that Ruler walked as they still wondered what in the world Ruler was talking about. Alex then shrugs it off and chooses to trust the plan Ruler has in mind for now before walking the same way Ruler did as the camera cuts to a commercial break.)
(Commercial for Marvel’s Deadpool 3, releasing in 2024.)
( Voltage fades back from a commercial break with Bella Braxton standing tall and looking at the camera with a smile on her face, excited to announce the upcoming competition. )
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS THE FIRST ROUND OF KING OF ELITE 2024 TOURNAMENT AND IT’S SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
( ‘Prices’ by Lil Uzi Vert plays as Ruler slowly walks out, exuding confidence for his match tonight. He keeps his eyes focused straight ahead while heading down towards the ring, maintaining his poise as he continues to walk and make his entrance. )
INTRODUCING FIRST!… FROM BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS!… WEIGHING IN AT 220 POUNDS!… HE’S THE RULER!… OF!… EVERYTHINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
( Once Ruler arrives in the ring and slowly begins sitting cross-legged while waiting for his opponent, ‘El Gavilan’ by Luis R Conriquez (Feat. Peso Pluma & Tony Aguirre) comes into play as Roberto De La Rosa makes his way out all alone this time. He stops by the center of the ring, strips the EAW Hardcore Championship off his waist, and raises it high into the air to embrace it. He nods in happiness while Ruler looks down at him with a calm and collected look. Roberto puts the title over his shoulder, then makes his swagging entrance towards the ring. )
Bella Braxton: AND HIS OPPONENT!… FROM HIDALGO, MEXICO!… WEIGHING IN AT 225 POUNDS!…. HE’S THE EAW HARDCORE CHAMPION!… EL PADRASTRO!…. ROBERTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…. DEEEEEEEEEEE LAAAAAAAAAAAA ROSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
( DING DING DING! )
James Peters: Former New Breed Champion is here to face the current Hardcore Champion in the first round of Voltage’s King of Elite Tournament! Ruler clashes with Roberto De La Rosa! These two have been basking in an impressive run leading up to this moment, and here tonight, on the last episode of Voltage in 2023, they have come to face each other for one last time in 2023 as well! The crowd here has been on high alert, catching up with the tournament, and this is one of the matches nobody should overlook!
Rich Russillo: Two have great experiences and qualities of being an elitist here. Not only accomplishments have proven both men but the same can be said for the performances these men have every match. I’m sure this match is going to be a great performance once again.
James Peters:Here, Ruler makes his way out of the corner, and so does Roberto, making his own way towards his opposition. Both men ensure they are set far away at a suitable distance; it seems like we are going to start this match at a slow pace here.
Persephone: I don’t wish for anybody here to win. What I wish for more is for his brother to stand in the ring right now and show what a real wrestler actually looks like. Truthfully, they both SUCK.
James Peters: Ruler here finally makes contact, and so does Roberto! The Revolutionizer is making his first move against El Padrino as both men lock in a collar and elbow tie-up first! Ruler executes a skillful move, seizing the wrist, and now Roberto is twisted in his grasp!
Rich Russillo: Ruler utilizes some professionalism just there to maintain Roberto in the position that he needs. Roberto tries not to panic sooner and makes sure he stays focused. Ruler begins to twist the wrist harder, causing Roberto to drop to one knee a little just there, not looking to back away from it at all, given the tense look on Ruler’s face at the moment.
Persephone: Look at this creep going, EAW securities seriously need to get to work. Who let this rat run around?
Rich Russillo: Roberto seems to have found a way around against Ruler just there a little. He rolls to the ground, executes a handstand flip back to his feet, and now seizes Ruler instead, quickly going for a Snapmare, sending Ruler rolling into a seated position… A DROPKICK ATTEMPTS TO CONNECT!
James Peters: That one fails to connect! Ruler is able to roll to the side, letting Roberto drive himself towards the air. Roberto slides to the ground, rolls to the side as well, and comes back to his feet as he charges towards Ruler! Ruler is able to halt the moment with a right elbow to the jaw, now sending a chop across his chest as a follow-up!
Rich Russillo: Two striking maneuvers applying just there, an elbow stunning Roberto down a little. Roberto is trying to gain some composure, while Ruler looks forward to a better opportunity before snatching Roberto right in and wastes no time… TRYING TO DROP ROBERTO EARLY ON WITH WILL OF NICHOLAS DDT!
James Peters: Roberto astutely foresees it and ensures both feet firmly adhere to the ground like glue! Ruler is strenuously struggling to push him down, and now he’s being forcefully pushed towards the corner as Ruler’s back crashes into those unforgiving turnbuckles! Roberto moves back away from Ruler, with his shoulder aiming for the second turn… ANOTHER SHOULDER TACKLE SIMMERS DOWN THE REVOLUTIONIZER!
Rich Russillo: The Hardcore Champion is still going all out in the average competition so far, but to be the king, it comes with struggles in exchange. Both men are showing that at the moment. Roberto is methodically placing Ruler atop his sturdy right shoulder, carefully aiming before launching into a powerful leap!…. A DROPKICK TO RULER, SENDING HIM FALLING DOWN TO THE APRON!
James Peters: That’s one hell of a takedown that Roberto executes here. Energy is blasting all the way out right now for Roberto De La Rosa! Look at the performance right now! Roberto is really feeling it tonight, and the crowd begins clapping in admiration! Roberto smacks the canvas on repeat, and he’s charging for it!
Rich Russillo: Ruler just manages to get back to both feet barely, but Roberto is already looking to launch once more! Here comes the Hardcore Champion!… EL REVÓLVER DORADO! ROBERTO’S OWN SUICIDE DIVE TAKES OUT RULER!
( Roberto regains his footing which elicits tremendous energy from the enthusiastic crowd. He nods in approval to the cheering crowd before glancing down at Ruler, poised to seize him and forcefully propel him back into the ring. )
Persephone: These idiots really are fickle. They must’ve forgotten Roberto caused two peope to get injured earlier.
Rich Russillo: Didn’t Luis help though?
Persephone: That’s different. Nothing he does is wrong.
James Peters: Roberto makes his way up to the apron and ascends to the top rope, while Ruler starts to rise to his feet and slowly turns back around to where Roberto is standing tall! He’s poised to soar high once again!… A BEAUTIFUL MOONSAULT TOPPLES STANDING RULER! RIGHT INTO A COVER!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rich Russillo: A KICK OUT DONE BY RULER!
Persephone: By now, Luis would have finished the match and beat this homeless punchline by now. The level of ridiculousness is certainly high right now.
James Peters: Ruler is not looking to leave any blunders in this competition, and that kick out has just proven that he won’t be down so early in the match. Roberto rolls away and regains his footing in the corner.
Rich Russillo: Ruler also starts rolling to his feet slowly, but that moonsault surely gives him some time to recover. Roberto shows he aims straight for the target, and Ruler falls under his scope with everything locked in! Roberto is going to make a run, and here he goes!…
James Peters: ROBERTO IS LOOKING FOR A SPEAR!
Rich Russillo: TALON DE ÁGUILA LEAPS INTO A SUDDEN KNEE LIFT FROM RULER!
James Peters: Ouch! That’s definitely not looking good for Roberto there at all! Ruler drops to one knee after delivering a blow to his face with the knee! Roberto holds down his face and tries to get back to shifting on his feet. Ruler wastes no time, swiftly intercepting the recovery, and now he’s expertly getting Roberto securely hooked up!….. A FALCON ARROW CONNECTS! RULER HOOKS THE LEG AS WELL!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Rich Russillo: A KICK OUT THIS TIME BY ROBERTO DE LA ROSA!
Persephone: Oh, you have to be kidding me! Are we really going to watch this match for extended hours? Let me go home and celebrate the vibrant new year with Luis already. I’m not here to watch his shitty brother being so lackluster in the ring.
James Peters: Ruler is now taking some time to heal himself after a quick and effective maneuver to keep Roberto down against the ground. Ruler reaches both feet slowly again, still nursing a bit of pain in his back. Now, he starts making a move towards Roberto, who is crawling towards the middle rope to pull himself back to his feet.Ruler delivers a powerful right elbow, forcefully dropping down on Roberto’s vulnerable arm and swiftly raining down relentless punishment on the same arm!
Rich Russillo: The recklessness has been put on display just there, and the cry of agony is growing louder! Roberto is in no place to be feeling so great right now!
Persephone: He should never feel great, realizing he’s one of the worst Hardcore Champions to ever exist in this company. Hopeful for his imminent downfall and wishing that one day Luis will show what a genuine champion should truly look like.
James Peters: Ruler makes his way back to his feet and starts using his forceful right boot, trampling on the same arm once more, adding pain and pressure! He’s surely been damaging the arm to ensure Roberto won’t be able to use both arms to execute a big move later on in this competition!
Rich Russillo: Before you play big, you have to play smart first, as Ruler is demonstrating at the moment. It seems like Roberto’s arm is broken enough for Ruler to push his advantage. Ruler confidently rises to his feet and seizes the opportune moment, firmly grabbing hold of Roberto from behind. Roberto is helplessly seized as Ruler looks to execute a powerful German Suplex!
James Peters: Roberto, using his left arm, blinds Ruler with a sharp elbow connecting! Ruler faints and stumbles a little. Roberto holds down his right arm and now initiates a move toward the ropes to make a rebound back to Ruler!… AN UPPERCUT PUTS A STOP SIGN ON ROBERTO!
Rich Russillo: That uppercut gets Roberto to one knee, Ruler slowly shakes his arm and now heads down towards the ropes this time… RETURNS TO A BIG BOOT ACROSS HIS OWN JAW FROM ROBERTO!… TURNING HIM AROUND BEFORE A PELE KICK CONNECTING BY RULER!
James Peters: That’s a great exchange just there before Roberto is now seen falling down into the corner, right into a seated position, still holding down his injured arm that has taken a lot of damage earlier.
Rich Russillo: Ruler regains his footing, carefully adjusting his jaw, and then swiftly makes a determined run down to Roberto!… CORNER SEATED CATCH THE RAINBOW! A METEORA PERFECTLY EXECUTED BY RULER! Pulling him out down to the canvas, Ruler drops into a cover!
Persephone: NOW END IT!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THRE-
James Peters: CLOSE CALL! ROBERTO IS ABLE TO LIFT HIS SHOULDER UP HIGH!
Persephone: FUCK!
Rich Russillo: Roberto remains on the ground while Ruler appears a bit stressed, realizing he’s not coming close to putting down the Hardcore Champion to advance to the next round of the tournament. Ruler may have to exert more determined effort here to reach for glory sooner. He rolls away, shakes his head with a hint of frustration, slowly turning around, and now patiently awaits for Roberto to authentically make a comeback.
Ruler: (Off-Mic) Get up.
Persephone: Who the fuck he thinks he is?
Rich Russillo: Ruler is showing his determination in putting down his opponent, not looking to step back from this competition until he declares this match with a legitimate victory over the champion in the first round. The Revolutionizer holds nothing back. Roberto finally reaches for both feet, and there, Ruler just simply waits for the right moment to serve him…
James Peters: REVOLUTIONIZER BY RULER!
Rich Russillo: He was going for the Spinning Back Heel Kick to seal the fate, but destiny was far from arriving! Roberto manages to dodge the bullet and now runs down to the ropes, rebounds back, and heads towards him!… A HURRICANRANA SENDS RULER ROLLING TO THE GROUND!
James Peters: Roberto mounts a comeback, causing Ruler to drop to the ground before rolling back to his feet and collapsing into the corner. Ruler leans back, while Roberto keeps his focus sharp and now springs towards Ruler… A CORNER CLOTHESLINE FROM THE CHAMP! Roberto is able to connect with that clothesline shot and now pulls him all the way out of there… INTO A BACKBREAKER!
Rich Russillo: A skillful combination of moves executed by Roberto just there, and he’s not finished yet! Ruler can be seen grimacing, holding down his aching back and dropping to both knees, not entirely grounded!
James Peters: Roberto is not looking to let that slide either, popping back and now taking precise aim this time!… OH! CPR! CURB STOMP SENDS RULER OUT! ROBERTO QUICKLY TRIES TO SCORE A PIN!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THRE-
Rich Russillo: RULER KICKS OUT AT TWO!
Persephone: NO! IT’S THREE! YES IT’S OVER!
James Peters: Rich has already got it right! That’s two! Ruler is still in this competition, and the match is looking forward to keep rolling until we determine a true winner!
Rich Russillo: Roberto, seeing a great opportunity, wastes no time. Now, he’s back to his feet once more and sending himself over the ropes. Seizing the rope and taking aim, Ruler, who is just getting back up, has now become a target of his own prey! Roberto is looking to fly!… BORDER CRASHER!
James Peters: A Springboard Knee Strike has Roberto springing off the ropes into the air, trying to connect, but Ruler is able to foresee it and moves out of the way just before things go downhill! Ruler refocuses on his opponent, and Roberto, landing deftly, has himself rolling to both feet. Roberto makes a run, but Ruler quickly seizes him to catch!… BLOODRAYNE MAK-
Rich Russillo: Roberto is not letting that go down for him just yet, pulling himself back together and managing to push Ruler out of sight in time!
James Peters: Ruler fails to connect, now turning all the way around and running towards Roberto this time!… ROBERTO DROPS DOWN TO BEHIND RULER AND REAR NAKED CHOKE APPLIES! CARTEL EXECUTION LOOKING TO PUT RULER TO SLEEP!
Rich Russillo: Just as the hold was about to come to fruition, Ruler manages to avoid it, sending Roberto rolling to the ground instead! Roberto has been forcefully pushed back, and Ruler, swiftly rising to his feet from both knees, braces himself as Roberto charges towards him! Ruler had that move prepared beforehand!…
James Peters: REVOLUTIONIZER!
Rich Russillo: NO! ROBERTO DUCKS UNDERNEATH IN ORDER TO HIT THE SPEAR! TALON DE ÁGUILA CUTS RULER IN HALF!
James Peters: ROBERTO HAS FINALLY BEEN ABLE TO EXECUTE THE MOVE PERFECTLY THIS TIME, AND NOW HE’S ROLLING RULER OVER INTO A COVER! ROBERTO IS GOING TO ADVANCE! HE’S MOVING ON TO THE NEXT ROUND AFTER THE MASSIVE SPEAR THAT HAS BEEN DELIVERED!
Persephone: OH SHIT THE MATCH IS GOING TO OVER SOON! YES!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
Persephone: LET’S FUCKING GO-
James Peters: NOT YET! NOT YET! RULER KICKS OUT AT THE NICK OF TIME! WOW!
Persephone: Wow! Yay! Give me a fucking break.
Rich Russillo: Roberto is surely coming close to winning the match, and after the kickout, Roberto becomes all fired up! HE FORCEFULLY PICKS RULER TO HIS FEET IMMEDIATELY, AND NOW HE’S DETERMINEDLY GOING TO SET HIM UP FOR THE SECOND ATTEMPT AT THE REAR NAKED CHOKE! HE STRIDES FORWARD TO EXPERTLY LOCK IT IN THIS TIME!
James Peters: RULER IS HERE TO RESIST THE MOVE, AND HE’S TRYING TO SHAKE ROBERTO AWAY! RULER IS ATTEMPTING TO GET THE HOLD LOCKED IN TIGHT ONE MORE TIME… RULER SHOVES HIM AND ROBERTO JUST ACCIDENTALLY CRASHES WITH THE REFEREE!
Rich Russillo: Ruler drops to the ground, still feeling pain around his gut. Roberto quickly goes to check on the referee, but it’s not going to work soon, and Roberto is trying to get the referee back to work again-
( CRACK! )
James Peters: OH! SOMEONE JUST GOT INTO THE RING AND HITS ROBERTO TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD WITH A WEAPON!
Persephone: What the fuck is this bitch doing here?
James Peters: THAT’S HAYLEY MORROW! SHE MAKES HER UNEXPECTED APPEARANCE OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A MENACING KENDO STICK AND BRUTALLY KNOCKS ROBERTO OUT WITH IT! WHAT’S HER BUSINESS????
Rich Russillo: THERE’S NO TIME TO BE WONDERING ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW! RULER MAKES HIS WAY TO HIS FEET AND IMMEDIATELY PULLS ROBERTO RIGHT BACK FROM THE GROUND! SEIZING HIM UP INSTANTLY…
James Peters: BLOODRAYNE MAKER CONNECTS! SWINGING REVERSE STO PUTS DOWN THE CHAMP AND RULER GOES FOR A COVER! NOT THIS WAY!
Persephone: YES WAY!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
( DING DING DING! )
Bella Braxton: HERE IS YOUR WINNER, WHO WILL BE ADVANCING TO THE NEXT ROUND OF VOLTAGE’S KING OF ELITE TOURNAMENT!…. RULER!
James Peters: All thanks to Hayley Morrow, who cracked the skull of Roberto De La Rosa with the Kendo Stick, Ruler was able to reach the ending, picking up this sweet victory to savor the taste of it!
Rich Russillo: That’s surely unexpected to see Hayley Morrow making an appearance during the match and leading Ruler to the victory that he has been craving for. Which now, it’s official, Ruler is the winner, and he’s going to the next round to fight for the finals spot!
Persephone: Well, it doesn’t matter what has just occurred here; all that matters is his older brother proved to be a fraud even when he’s the champion. This is why we need Luis on the show more often than we have his older brother.
( ‘Prices’ by Lil Uzi Vert hits as Ruler rises back to his feet and ignores Roberto entirely to celebrate his victory. The camera cuts back to Roberto, holding down his head and looking down at Hayley Morrow, who slowly walks backward up to the stage before waving goodbye to him and heading through the curtain to the back. This leaves insult to injury as Roberto snatches the Hardcore Championship away from the referee and immediately walks down into the back with frustration. Cutting back to Ruler, he raises both hands up high and continues celebrating his victory before the scene fades to elsewhere. )
(Commercial for Popeyes featuring Jake Smith.)
( Sunday Night Voltage continues on as the crowd here tonight has seen some exciting first round matchups in the King of Elite tournament. ‘Bewitched’ by Frank Sinatra would blast through the P.A System as it is none other than our EAW Specialist Champion, Bea Valentine! She goes through the curtain, and poses on the stage with her prize possession she calls “Gloria”. She has an exquisite smirk on her face, accompanied with a ravishing look as always. Cornelius would be by her side as Bea shows her precious gold around before she makes her way down the aisle. )
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…PLEASE WELCOME AT THIS TIME… THE EAW SPECIALISTS CHAMPION… “THE QUEEN BEA”… BEA VALENTINEEE!!!
Rich Russillo: As insane Bea Valentine is right now, there is no denying she has had a remarkable year here in EAW and successfully retaining her title in the Specialist Chamber is just the icing on the cake for this incredible Elitist.
James Peters: You said it best Rich, Bea is operating on a whole different level. Albeit while she may be over the top with the theatrics, having a ravishing outfit for the occasion here tonight… she somewhat earned the way to act like what she’s doing right now. She defied the odds at Road to Redemption against the likes of Rory Slate, Kasai, Nikki Kumura, Ashlynn Quinn, and Sally. She walked out of that chamber with her title reign intact, and sure she may not have been successful in that triple threat match at Noche De Violencia but by the looks of it, it isn’t bothering her too much.
Persephone: She still has the Specialists Championship that she gave a name to, she could lose millions non title matches and she wouldn’t care because what matters is she has that ugly looking baby Gloria around her waist and around her arms.
James Peters: Now wait a minute, if that title was my baby would it still be ugly looking Persephone?
Persephone: Would have to find another word to describe what your hideous baby would look like.
James Peters: *Insert Kurt Angle Stare Meme*
Rich Russillo: :mjlol~1:
( Bea continues making her way down the ramp as the crowd in the arena would boo her entrance. Bea would do a flicker motion with her hand, ignoring the so called “critics” of her work. She would head to the ring steps as she hands her precious Gloria to Cornelius. She would climb up the steel steps and enter the ring and be more magnificent as if she was on the stage. She tells Cornelius to hand her title back as she drapes it over her shoulder. She gets a microphone as her theme simmers down. Bea would begin to speak… )
Bea Valentine: Do you hear that Cornelius? Do you hear that? That is the sound of my critics once again being proven… WRONG!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
( Bea would laugh in cartoony style fashion as the crowd continued to boo the EAW Specialist Champion. Bea continues to speak what she was saying. )
Bea Valentine: I am the star of the show darling, I am the headline of the big glamorous production, of course I wasn’t going to lose my precious little baby. The soul of my universe, we weren’t going to get separated because we are meant for life and I mean it! With all due respect to my adversaries, they never had a real chance of taking my princess away from my hands, my beautiful looking Gloria away from my vicinity. It just wasn’t going to be possible and Gloria can agree with me. She can agree that SHE didn’t want a new home yet, she didn’t wanna pack her bags away and move away from mother Bea to some unnurtured individuals… isn’t that right darling???
Gloria: …
Bea Valentine: Yes, yes of course. You only want to be with me and just me and that is going to stay that way from now until the end of time. We have so many more blockbuster pictures to be in my dear, we are just getting started and Road to Redemption was just the start to my marvelous and stunning filmography! We are going to be timeless, forever remembered in HISTORY! Like seriously, my first title defense was an amazing start, its highs and lows, and the satisfying conclusion that everyone here tonight LOVED to see happen!
(The crowd would boo Bea even more as Bea makes an “hmmm please” expression. Bea continues to talk )
Bea Valentine: Enough dillydallying on my behalf, let’s discuss my next picture shall we? King of Elite. Many stars are made on this particular night and for me it will be a shining example as to why Gloria and myself will remain intact, bonded forever from love and care. It appears someone from Showdown wants my precious Gloria, and has gotten a shot at her taking her away from me and that person is Candice Blair. She calls herself a princess, and despite the royalty that theoretically be bestowed to her name… not even that royalty is going to be enough for me to lose my sweet, stunning, precious baby girl, Gloria. Candice is not worthy of separating my baby from me, she is not the woman to ruin my life and take her away from me and I bloody mean it and-
( Suddenly, ‘Rhapsody in Pink’ by Stela Cole would blast through the arena as Princess Candice Blair arrived here on Voltage. Coming over from Showdown, Bea looks very surprised and shocked that Candice has made an appearance here on Voltage. Candice makes her entrance as she grabs a microphone that was placed on the steps, climbs up them, and enters the ring. Her music would begin to fade as she begins speaking towards Bea Valentine. )
Princess Candice: I think you’re getting a little too over confident there Bea. Overconfidence that could cost you come, King of Elite. While I am a Disney princess, I have never been a champion but I have shown time and time again that I am very capable of bringing the fight, pushing anyone that gets in this ring with me. I said on Showdown that I have made an impact this year, in our godforsaken year of 2023. Plenty of high points, plenty of lows but no matter what, Princess Candice made an impact and in 2024 I am going to make an even better impact. It’s going be my year Bea, that is a better picture than whatever your next one is.
( Bea makes a gasp expression, as if she felt offended that Candice would suggest her “picture” was gonna be better than hers. Candice would continue to talk. )
Princess Candice: I got this opportunity because I knew it was time for me to finally get some gold around my perfect waist. This opportunity, this chance, I am not going to take this for granted. As much as you love and adore “Gloria” she’ll eventually have to find a new home, nothing lasts forever Bea and I’m certainly not gonna waste this chance myself. So be prepared to pack her things, be prepared for her to say goodbye to you and find another co-star to be in your pictures because EAW Specialist Championship is gonna come home to me.
Bea Valentine: Oh Darling, you are so VERY wrong. You expect me to be separated from my lovely Gloria? My sweet baby?
Princess Candice: Yeah because I’m going to take her away from you, but don’t worry a Princess like me is gonna take good care of her..
Bea Valentine: NONSENSE! You are speaking gibberish right now, no one can take care of Gloria quite like me. No one’s gonna shower her with love like me, because we are bonded forever. That bond isn’t gonna end by your hands and you trying to insinuate that you want to break up two people that love each other dearly makes you a MONSTER! After all I did to retain her inside the Elimination Chamber, nothing can tear us apart. Princess, you could never defeat a champion that loves her baby like it’s the most important thing in the world!
Princess Candice: Well I’m not a monster sweetie, I’m just being honest with you. Bringing you back down to earth and letting you know what’s gonna happen real, real soon. Your time is gonna be up at King of Elite in South Africa. I plan on taking that championship to Showdown as the New Specialist Champion because “Gloria” and I will be happy together!
( Bea had heard enough from Candice as she clocks her with a cheap shot with her right hand! She starts laying some shots while she’s on top of her but Candice would get the upper hand! Cornelius would retrieve Gloria and bring it with him on the outside as Candice then lays a few shots to Bea! Cornelius would roll Bea out the ring as he carries her away from the ring in his arms. Candice bad mouths Bea as Bea looks distraught as one can be. )
Rich Russillo: I guess the message was sent wide and clear from Princess Candice Blair, Bea’s next challenger for the Specialist Championship.
James Peters: You’re right on that Rich
( Cornelius carries Bea to the back while still holding onto Gloria as Sunday Voltage would fade out into our next segment of the night. )
(Sunday Night Voltage fades to the backstage area, and the camera pans to Hall of Famers Cameron Ella Ava and Jamie O’Hara. The fans begin to loudly cheer once the two are seen on screen, and as they walk through the hallway, Sofia Clarke is seen rushing over to catch up to them. Sofia is holding a microphone, and once Cameron and Jamie notice her, they stop as she begins to speak.)
Sofia Clarke: Cameron, Jamie, if you two don’t mind, I’d like to ask the two of you a few questions.
(The two look at each other for a moment, before answering Sofia.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Sure, go ahead.
Jamie O’Hara: Ask away.
Sofia Clarke: Well with 2023 coming to an end we’re coming off of two major events in a row. You two had some big matches of your own there, so I wanted to hear your thoughts on them and what’s next.
Jamie O’Hara: Well, I can’t say I appreciated having someone like Drake Armstrong using my match against Cy Henderson to try and make an impact, but that’s far from the only issue I’ve had to deal with over the last few months. First it was Andre Walker, and now Andre’s out injured. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to focus on what I wanted to without having to deal with someone else’s interference, but heading into 2024 I’m sure I’ve made myself as clear as I could. If you want to make a name for yourself, think twice before entering the ring with me. I’m not in such an early stage of my career that I need to constantly get in the ring for the sake of proving myself. Everyone knows who I am and what I’m capable of. Whether or not they’re okay with taking the risk of challenging me is entirely on them. As for what I plan to do next, you’ll have to wait and see.
Sofia Clarke: Thank you. What about you, Cameron?
Cameron Ella Ava: I want to be the EAW World Champion. There’s a reason I didn’t back down and I was willing to enter the Extreme Elimination Chamber even after Wicked Games, but I can admit that Road to Redemption didn’t go my way. I’m not really pleased with the outcome, either. Charlie Marr isn’t much of an improvement for the EAW World Championship, and it’s a shame he managed to get away with that back there. It’s only a matter of time, though. Sooner or later I’m going to fight for that Championship again. I’m tired of letting the worst EAW has to offer run around with-
???: Haven’t you been through this enough already??
(Cameron turns around, and the fans immediately begin to boo. Before long, Harper Lee begins to walk into the camera’s view, and from the annoyed look on her face she still has not gotten over Road to Redemption. As Harper walks towards Jamie and Cameron, Cameron doesn’t look too impressed. While the two were allies a few months ago heading into Territorial Invasion, things have since changed with Harper’s change in attitude following Wicked Games.)
Jamie O’Hara: I’ve had enough of these interruptions. If you’re just here to dig your own grave, I hope you know that you can leave.
Harper Lee: I’m just here to speak to your wife, because from the looks of it, she’s a complete idiot.
(Harper turns towards Cameron.)
Harper Lee: How many World title matches do you need before you realize you’re just not good enough? There’s other people that deserve a shot, you know.
Cameron Ella Ava: And you’re supposed to be one of them? I hope you realize that nobody forgot about all of your promises. We all saw what happened. You destroyed POTARA insisting that Holly was the weak link, just to spend your next marquee match being put through a flaming table and losing to the same woman that defeated you at the start of the year. Are you sure you’re not regretting betraying another one of your partners?
(Hearing this frustrates Harper, who immediately responds.)
Harper Lee: Shut up. I did what I had to. I’ve already made myself clear a thousand times. Holly was deadweight and if I kept teaming up with her things were only gonna get worse. I get you and everyone else around here really liked Holly but I have more to worry about besides making friends. I want to get my career back on track, and thanks to Road to Redemption I have a lot of work to do if I wanna do that. You know how good I am, Cameron. We worked together just a few months ago and in case you forgot, I was the sole survivor of your team that night. I should be doing more than losing to the Jaded Hearts, so don’t try to shame me for what I did to my partner, because it already pisses me off that even after Wicked Games things aren’t going how they should. It’s bad enough that I couldn’t go a week before having to deal with more disrespect, now I have to deal with the fact that Bethany somehow got lucky. I finally dropped the deadweight and started focusing on myself, and all I have to show for that is another loss to Dr. Bethany Blue of all people. It’s unbelievable.
(A smirk appears on Cameron’s face as she just shakes her head.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Have you ever thought that maybe, Holly wasn’t the problem? You’re too confident for your own good, and that cost you against Bethany. You thought that because you betrayed one of the few people who were still willing to team up with you things were going to be different this time around, but they weren’t. Now things aren’t going your way, and this time you can’t pin the blame on your friends because you already got rid of them. That honestly should tell you everything you need to hear, but because you’re you, you refuse to listen. I don’t like Bethany, but I’m not going to listen to your rants after she beat you just as she promised. I’m above getting involved with petty situations like this. I have my own problems to take care of and just like you I want to end this season on a high note, so if you’re going to interrupt me again, make sure it’s worth my time. I’m not interested in hearing about your “struggles” right now. You did it all to yourself, anyway.
Harper Lee: Right, you’d rather try and get another World title match after already losing two in a row.
Cameron Ella Ava: Immediately after losing your Tag Titles, you lost a match against someone you hate. Has your season really been going much better than mine?
Harper Lee: No, but that’s gonna change, and if you want to be part of that that’s perfectly fine with me.
(Cameron glances towards Sofia Clarke before extending her hand out towards her. Sofia hands Cameron the microphone, and Cameron continues.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Alright Harper, since you ruined my interview I’ll go ahead and ask you a few questions of my own, starting with this. Do you know what you’re getting yourself into right now?
(Not wanting to play into this, Harper remains silent. This doesn’t bother Cameron though, as she continues to speak.)
Cameron Ella Ava: I didn’t think so. Here’s another question. There’s so many people here on the Voltage roster, and even with them aside I’m sure there’s other people whose time you could waste right now. Why would you go out of your way to pick a fight with someone like me?
(As soon as Cameron finishes speaking, Harper snatches the microphone from her hand.)
Harper Lee: I’ll ask you a question, Cameron. Like you said, there’s a ton of people on the roster, so why do you think you need to be the one at the top? Do you really think you’re still good enough to be the face of Voltage? You had multiple shots and you did nothing but come up short. Why should you keep getting these opportunities when I’ve spent these last few months waiting for the chance to prove that I deserve better?
Cameron Ella Ava: Because I can actually make the most out of these opportunities. I don’t have anything to prove to you Harper, but you clearly have a chip on your shoulder and that’s something you need to deal with on your own time. Right now you’re interrupting two Hall of Famers, and in case you still don’t get it, I’m not the kind of woman you want to try and challenge. You’re already salty over your loss to Dr. Bethany Blue. All you’d gain from this is yet another loss to your record, and I’m not sure how much more of those you can take before you run out of people to blame. The best thing you can do right now is just walk away and pretend this conversation never happened, because I don’t plan to put up with this any longer than I already have. I don’t need to explain myself to you or anybody else. I said what I wanted to do, and whether you like it or not, you’ll just have to sit and watch me become World Champion again. Like I told Sofia, it’s only a matter of time.
Harper Lee: How much time? I’m tired of letting other people get the opportunities that I deserve, and I’m tired of my efforts not paying off when I know I’m better than everyone I get in the ring with. I don’t care if you mean at King of Elite, Grand Rampage, Pain for Pride or even next season, there’s no reason you need to be anywhere near a World Championship before I get a shot. If you wanted to prove me wrong you had every opportunity to but you went and you screwed them all up. You’re part of the reason we even lost back in the Brand Warfare match, but now you think my decision to give up on others was a mistake? All you guys ever do is disappoint while I’ve been putting you all on my back, trying as hard as I can to carry others to success they don’t even deserve. You really aren’t who you think you are Cameron, so why don’t you just step aside?
Cameron Ella Ava: Even if I did, what do you actually think would happen? Even if you were given the opportunities you wanted there’s a good chance you’d come up short just like you did against Bethany, because you’re not as self aware as you think you are. It doesn’t matter what you think your reasons to betray Holly were if the results aren’t any different than they were before Wicked Games. All you did was make yourself more miserable and in the process show us that all you’re capable of is lying to yourself. You’re not like me, Harper. I had a ton of respect for you a few months ago and even now I understand that you accomplished a lot, but I’m one of the most important names in this business and you don’t reach that status for no reason. We can settle this however you want but I can guarantee it won’t end well for you, so be careful about what you say to me.
(Harper’s clearly been angered by Cameron’s comments, and can’t seem to argue back. Instead she looks towards Jamie, who has been watching the situation unfold. Jamie just laughs, before beginning to speak.)
Jamie O’Hara: You really must have a death wish.
(This obviously bothers Harper even more, and she just looks back at Cameron before beginning to speak towards Jamie.)
Harper Lee: Go get a life.
(Harper turns around before beginning to storm away from the area. This leaves Cameron, Jamie, and Sofia Clarke. Neither Cameron nor Jamie look too bothered about the argument that just took place, and the two would begin walking away afterwards. This leaves Sofia Clarke, who had the interview ruined thanks to all of this. As she looks towards the camera, Voltage fades away from the area and into a commercial break.)
(Promotional ad for Friday night Dynasty, where Jake Smith and Bronson Daniels fight for a shot at Myles’ World Heavyweight Championship.)
(Voltage returns from break and cuts to the ring. ‘Self Help Tape’ by Moses Sumney plays in the background as Captain Charisma stands in the ring with a microphone in hand, and a smile on his face, pointing out to various fans he notices in the crowd. Alongside him, there is a mini table with black cloth over it that hosts a golden tumbler, which has multiple plastic balls inside, presumably with names.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Voltage Commissioner… CAPTAIN CHARISMA!!!
(‘Self Help Tape’ by Moses Sumney fades in the background before Captain Charisma decides to speak up.)
Captain Charisma: First off, thank you for the introduction, Bella, I appreciate it. But onto business, because ladies and gentlemen, tonight, the clock will strike twelve, marking the end of 2023, and another year with me as your Voltage commissioner. Now, I’d say that I’ve done a pretty good job this year, but tell me yourselves, Lima. Did I do a good job this year?!
(Captain Charisma holds the microphone out to the crowd, picking up their reaction, which is extremely positive, causing Captain Charisma to proudly nod before continuing on with his speech.)
Captain Charisma:  I’ll take that as a yes. So, you’re probably wondering why I’m out here, and no, it’s not just to pat myself on the back, but it does relate to next week, the very first Voltage of the new year, because we’re not kicking things off with a whimper, were kicking things off with a bang. To be more specific, a title match.
(Captain Charisma pauses briefly, giving the crowd time to react with cheers, and even “yes” chants before continuing.)
Captain Charisma: Now, what kind of title match? More specifically, who is receiving said title match? Well, that will all be revealed shortly after I draw from this little machine right here.
(Captain Charisma gestures toward the tumbler, which the camera zooms in on.)
James Peters: And just like that, things just got interesting!
Rich Russillo: Oh, who’s it gonna be, James?!
James Peters: It could be anyone! It could be Donovan Duke, it could be Harper Lee, it could be-
Persephone: Luis!!! 😍
James Peters: Well… yeah, him too.
Persephone: Fingers crossed!!! 🤞
(The camera cuts back to Captain Charisma.)
Captain Charisma: Inside it, there are names of everyone on the Voltage roster, who can consider this a late Christmas present, courtesy of the Commissioner. Because to be honest with you guys, Christmas passed, but I am still feeling festive! I am looking forward to the new year, and I am looking forward to finding out exactly who will be walking out of here tonight with the opportunity of a lifetime. So, without further ado, the Elitist getting a title opportunity is…
(A drumroll begins to play as Captain Charisma starts rolling the tumbler before stopping to pull a ball out from inside it. Captain Charisma pops open the plastic ball, and pulls out a piece of paper, which he reads as the drumroll dies down.)
Captain Charisma: …HAYLEY MORROW!
(Captain Charisma shows the paper with her name on it off, letting everyone catch a good glimpse to show it’s legit before said piece of paper down on the table.)
Captain Charisma: Congratulations, Hayley! Next week, you’ll be facing Roberto De La Rosa for the Hardcore Championship!
(The crowd cheers, looking forward to that match, Captain Charisma included, also looking forward to that match himself. But his, and everyone else’s attention gets diverted towards the stage area as “Cellar Door” by Spiritbox plays out Hayley Morrow herself, who saunters down the ramp with a devilish grin on her face, clearly happy with the news.)
Persephone: Oh, for fucks sake! Of course this broad gets it, but not Luis.
James Peters: Luck of the draw, Persephone, and as a result, Hayley finds herself with a match against Roberto De La Rosa next week for the Hardcore Championship. If that’s not motive to tune in, I don’t know what is.
Rich Russillo: Also, when you consider what went down earlier tonight when Ruler faced Roberto, Hayley now getting a shot at Roberto’s championship is very interesting.
Persephone: Considering the dumb bitch cost Luis’ brother a chance to advance in the King of Elite tournament, I guess it is ‘interesting’.
James Peters: Well, next week, both competitors have an opportunity to prove themselves and settle the score for what happened earlier tonight. Yes, even Roberto De La Rosa, who has an opportunity to prove himself as a legitimate champion by defending that title against a worthy challenger.
Persephone: Worthy? All she did was win some dumb raffle!
Rich Russillo: Still, I think Hayley’s worthy in the sense that she’s been proving herself as someone to watch out for lately.
Persephone: Whatever.
(Hayley enters the ring, and Captain Charisma claps for her as she reaches through the middle rope, receiving a microphone from a stagehand before “Cellar Door” by Spiritbox fades in the background, giving Hayley the room to speak.)
Hayley Morrow: So, next week, I have a match against Roberto De La Rosa for the Hardcore Title? Well, next week can’t come soon enough, now can it? Because it’s the opportunity I’ve been looking for since stepping through the doors of Elite Answers Wrestling, an opportunity to become champion, and an opportunity to prove myself as a star. So, understand that I’m taking this match very, very seriously, and I don’t intend on letting it slip through my fingertips. Not by a long shot. So, if that means putting my body through hell in order to secure the crown, and taking my place at the throne, then so be it.
(Captain Charisma nods, impressed.)
Captain Charisma: Wow. I can tell you’re focused, but focused is what you’re gonna have to be if you want to walk out as Champion next week. You talked about proving yourself as a star? Well, next week, the lights’ll be the brightest.
Hayley Morrow: You’re right. Next week, the lights will be the brightest, but I prefer it that way, because it’s not just an opportunity to prove myself as a star without the help of my father, but it’s an opportunity to prove myself in general here. Because let’s face it, there are still plenty out there that doubt me, and what I’m capable of inside this ring. But to that crowd, all I ask of you is to watch. Watch as my hand gets raised in victory next week. But don’t get it twisted, the Hardcore Title? That’s just the beginning of a long list of accomplishments I plan to mount here-
(‘El Gavilan’ by Luis R Conriquez, Peso Pluma, y Tony Aguirre interrupts Hayley Morrow, who turns her attention to the stage area, alongside Captain Charisma, who does the same. Roberto De La Rosa, who is wearing a bandage thanks to the kendo stick shot he took earlier thanks to Hayley, walks onto the stage, a microphone already in hand, and him wearing a suit, having cleaned up from his match earlier in the night. Around his shoulder, there is the EAW Hardcore Championship that Hayley’ll have a shot at next week.)
James Peters: Things just got even more interesting. Roberto doesn’t look happy at all and rightfully so.
Persephone: Great, it’s the inferior De La Rosa…
Rich Russillo: Well, I wouldn’t say inferior. But Roberto De La Rosa is here, and looks to address his challenger it seems like.
(‘El Gavilan’ by Luis R Conriquez, Peso Pluma, y Tony Aguirre fades in the background, and Roberto has an annoyed look on his face before raising the microphone to his lips.)
Roberto De La Rosa: Sorry for the interruption, amiga, but hearing you refer to my Hardcore Title as the beginning? Well, I couldn’t sit back there, and let that stand, because you’re talking as if things are already a foregone conclusion. But the truth is: regardless of who Captain Charisma picked out that tumbler, and considering what happened earlier tonight, it’s MIGHTY convenient it’s your name, the result would have remained the same next week, which is me standing over them, my title being raised high.
(Roberto raises the title up before placing it back on his shoulder.)
Roberto De La Rosa: So, Hayley, while most would consider you lucky, I don’t. I just consider you… an example. You’re an example of what’ll happen to any, and every perro in the back that tries to take this title from me. And if you doubt that, look what happened to Korey Gaines and Mr. Wrestling earlier tonight. Innocent bystanders but La Familia has a point to prove. Despite that, you still felt the need to meddle in my business and allowed that idiota Ruler to advance in the tournament. You won’t get away with that, punta, mark my words. Sorry to ruin what’ll be your first Championship match here in Elite Answers Wrestling. But if it makes you feel any better, it took a lot of setbacks to get where I am today. So, maybe after I destroy to set an example to anyone who wants to get involved in La Familia business, you can recover and get your career back on track.
(Hayley leans forward on the ropes, staring directly at Roberto while she speaks into the microphone.)
Hayley Morrow: Thanks, Roberto, but if there’s anyone I’m not out to follow in the footsteps of, it’s you. Because unlike you, I won’t need to cash in a contract, and blindside the champion to win my first title here. I’ll just beat you straight up.
Roberto De La Rosa: At Road to Redemption, I took advantage of an opportunity. Now, whether you agree with my actions or not, even you have to admit that they were successful, which is all that matters. At Road to Redemption, I executed a game plan to perfection, and instead of downplaying my victory, you should be worried as to what other plans I have up my sleeve.
Hayley Morrow: Was that meant to be some sort of threat, because if so, I’m not scared.
Roberto De La Rosa: Take it as you want it. I’m just bracing you for what’s ahead, because you are severely out of your depth. And you screwed up tonight in a major way.
Hayley Morrow: Out of my depth, huh? Well, keep thinking that, keep underestimating me, because I’ll easily make you regret it next week, then we’ll see who’s out of their depth. That title may mean a lot to you, but winning that title means a lot to me as well, and I am determined to do it by any means necessary, even if that means sacrificing, or better yet, sacrificing your career.
(The crowd cheers, the anticipation for their match growing with every minute these two verbally joust one another. Roberto thinks on what Hayley just said, and decides to speak up after a while.)
Roberto De La Rosa: …whatever. Anyone can run their mouth, including you, doesn’t change the fact that, next week, you become just the first in a long list of title defenses.
(‘El Gavilan’ by Luis R Conriquez, Peso Pluma, y Tony Aguirre plays, and the arrogance is gone, in its place, focus by Roberto as he means everything he just said to Hayley, planning to make an example out of her next week as he turns around, and heads to the back.)
James Peters: A heated war of words between champion, and challenger tonight.
Rich Russillo: But who will back their words up, and who will be forced to eat them? All will be proven next week!
Persephone: Remind me to call in sick, because no way I wanna sit through that scarefest… actually, seeing these two possibly maim each other? Count me in!
(Hayley stares at the stage area, and the camera zooms in on the determination in her eyes as well before the camera fades into a commercial break.)
(Commercial for the upcoming Hardcore Championship match between Roberto De La Rosa and Hayley Morrow.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring. ‘Cellar Door’ by Spiritbox can be heard blaring throughout the speakers of the arena, the mixed reactions throughout the audience would quickly follow as Hayley Morrow is seen waiting inside of the ring for her opponent.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
Bella Braxton: Already in the ring! From Manhattan, New York, weighing in at 120 pounds… HAYLEYYYYY MORROW!!!
James Peters: Hayley Morrow is quite the interesting figure here in EAW, a newcomer that has a level of potential much of the audience is waiting to explore. With her Hardcore Championship opportunity on the horizon, this match can be an indicator of what Hayley can do against a competitor like Mia Santoro.
Rich Russillo: Perhaps I don’t view Hayley as highly, but tonight can surely shift the tides in that regard as this is a good night for both elitists here to prove themselves further. Mia has been placed in matches against some of the biggest competitors here, her experience is amplified compared to Hayley. But Hayley may be full of surprises herself?
(‘21ST CENTURY BITCH’ by Holy Wars can be heard throughout the arena to a rowdy reaction from the audience, as Mia Santoro makes her way out to the ramp with even more reactions that follow. Sporting a confident expression, Mia proceeds to walk down the ramp with her eyes looking outward to the crowd.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing her opponent! From Key West, Florida, weighing in at 115 pounds… MIAAAA SANTORO!!!
James Peters: Mia Santoro is here to move her momentum upward with a victory over Hayley Morrow tonight, she’s surely gonna try to represent for herself and Donovan to the best of her abilities here as well. With her eyes set on Jaded Hearts alongside Donovan on that note. You think she’s up to date with the Hayley Morrow lore?
Persephone: Are you? :jr:
Rich Russillo: I sure am… not. But I won’t intrude on this little connection that she’s formed with Ruler by any stretch of the imagination, they seem inclined to shoot for the stars together! And hey! All of the power to them, but increased momentum from a win tonight could expand in beliefs that they’re truly capable as individual competitors, which Mia will need to do in living color!
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: Here we go! Mia Santoro taking on Hayley Morrow right here on Voltage! Both women are beginning to circle the mat, as Hayley’s looking to move forward to Mia as her arms are steadily raised and positioned accordingly. Mia decides to entertain the motion as she’s raising her own arms here, and both women decide to apply the collar & elbow tie-up! They’re trying to apply as much as pressure as possible to one another, but now Mia is managing to overpower Hayley here as she’s able to push Hayley right onto the ropes. Now Hayley’s struggling considerably to get Mia off of herself, and the referee is counting down here!
Rich Russillo: Before the five count, Mia is raising her hands and slowly backing away from Hayley now. Hayley is keeping her eyes glared toward Mia, and she emerges from her corner once more as the two women begin to circle once more. Now Hayley seems to be engaging with another test of strength against Mia as her own arms are extended upward. Before Mia could accept this test, Hayley quickly moves right behind her and wraps her arm around her neck! The headlock’s applied as Hayley is wrenching her arm around Mia’s neck as much as she can, and Mia’s dropping to a knee as Hayley is doing all she can to keep Mia suppressed!
Persephone: And of course there will always be moments like these, where I’d like to be anywhere else.
James Peters: Mia is able to get back to both of her feet now, and she’s imposing her own strength as she’s able to push Hayley against the ropes once more, just before keeping a hand placed behind her back and making Hayley rebound off the ropes and shoving her off toward the opposite side of the ring! Now Hayley’s running toward the ropes and rebounding back toward Mia—but Mia with a sudden boot that drops Hayley off of her feet and onto the mat! Now Hayley is eagerly trying to get back up to her feet, with a hand on the ropes.. but Mia kicks her arm away from the ropes as well!!
Rich Russillo: Hayley’s not in the greatest position, she had a good start going for herself before! Now Mia is looking to maintain this control as Hayley’s trying to crawl over to the corner of the ring. Mia shoves Hayley with a foot as she’s pushed against the bottom turnbuckle, and now Mia’s shoving her foot right across Hayley’s jaw as Hayley’s squirming with plenty of persistence to this pressure, but Mia’s strength continues to overpower Hayley! Now the referee is beginning to count down as a disqualification loss wouldn’t be the best look on Santoro’s record right here!
James Peters: Mia thinks quickly and walks off from the corner before the referee could complete his count! Now Mia’s glaring over at the referee with quite the stern look here, not exactly what you want to be looking at after having to make a close call. Now Mia’s turning herself toward Hayley’s direction and—HAYLEY LEAPS RIGHT ONTO SANTORO AND TAKES HER DOWN! Now she’s laying in the barrage of rights and lefts upon Mia as her opponent is doing all that she can to get back into this fight!!
Rich Russillo: Mia is able to push Hayley away as both women are shooting right upward to their feet respectively, Mia aims to take Hayley down and return the favor back to herself with a swift forearm—but Morrow’s able to kick her arm away, causing Mia to clutch her own arm and turn… a bad move for Santoro, as Hayley is swift enough to grab Mia’s waist from behind with her arms wrapped around Santoro, and she aims for the German Suplex to take Mia down!!!
James Peters: NOPE! Mia with a desperate back elbow right across Hayley’s temple that causes Hayley to let go of Mia, and now she’s clutching on her own head with a hand while Santoro is back on her feet! Mia now sees another opportunity to take advantage here as she’s rushing toward Hayley—taking her down with a step-up enziguri that puts Morrow down onto the mat!!! Now Mia rushes to the cover, as she hooks the leg while the referee slides into the count!
ONE!!!!
TWO!!!!!
Persephone: Ugh, trauma dumping bitch kicks out. Here for a long one, huh?
Rich Russillo: Hayley’s presenting far more fight than I may have anticipated, but Mia’s not allowing the kickout to linger on for much longer. She gets back up to her feet and wastes no time stomping down right onto Hayley’s back with precision! Each stomp as precise as the next, keeping this control on the mainstay capacity. Morrow’s not in a good spot, her expression of undeniable struggle remaining prominent! Now she’s shifting herself toward the ropes, with Mia delivering another riveting stomp right over Hayley’s back!!! Hayley groans out in pain as she’s now leaned herself right over the middle rope, her head and arms situated above the apron itself…
James Peters: Mia doesn’t waste another second to press her knee against Hayley’s upper back, as she’s causing Hayley to choke with her neck being pressured right onto the middle rope!! Hayley can be heard coughing up quite the storm here, as the referee begins to count down! Mia has her hands gripping onto the top rope while she’s keeping her knee pressed against Hayley for as long as she can! However, Mia has no choice but to let go and step away from Hayley as the referee proceeds to give quite the scolding.
Persephone: I would too, they’re gonna go 5 minutes too long at this rate.
Rich Russillo: Hayley’s still coughing after Mia let go, and while Morrow has some time to recover so she can get back into this, Santoro’s already looking to continue her onslaught here! Mia now walks right back over to Hayley, as she’s ready to deliver more punishment that’ll keep Morrow—BUT HAYLEY THINKS FAST AND KICKS MIA’S KNEE! Mia’s knee buckles and her own neck collides with the middle rope as now she’s clutching onto her neck!!
James Peters: The quick thinking of Hayley Morrow may have just saved her from impending disaster there! Now Santoro’s squirming around the ring as she’s coughing here, with Hayley able to get herself back up to her feet! Mia is turning away while on a knee, not in a good spot as the coughing persists further. Hayley is able to take advantage here… WITH A FOREARM RIGHT TO THE BACK OF MIA’S HEAD! Santoro is holding onto the back of her own head as Hayley now runs the ropes, and back right onto Santoro WITH A DOUBLE FOOT STOMP THAT SENDS SANTORO BACK FIRST ONTO THE MAT! Hayley eagerly hooks the leg as the referee counts!
ONE!!! TWO!!!!
Rich Russillo: MIA with a kick out!!!! Hayley’s in a seated position and the frustration is already beginning to get to her, not the best place you’d like to be in as you need to stay focused here! Hayley’s not gonna ponder on this for long, as she’s back up to her feet before Mia, whose crawling around trying to get back into this match. Mia is up to a knee, but Hayley with a fierce forearm is able to keep Mia stunned for the moment! Hayley gets Santoro in position now with her arm around her neck and as she has a hold of her.. hoisting her up before planting her back down just as quickly with a snap suplex!!!! Santoro doesn’t seem to be able to rebound here as Morrow looks to keep this momentum going, now taking herself up to the top!
James Peters: That’s exactly what she intends to do here! Hayley is making her rapid climb upward to the top turnbuckle, all while Mia Santoro is still down and out as this has not been shaping up well for her since the desperate kick to the knee! Hayley is finding the proper footing, all the while Santoro is down and out as Morrow is prepared to take flight of her own!!!
Rich Russillo: BUT MIA SPROUTS TO HER FEET AND SHOVES HAYLEY OFF OF THE TOP! HAYLEY CRASHES AGAINST THE BARRICADE TO STOP HER FROM A DISASTROUS FALL! Now Hayley’s in a bad way here as she’s situated at ringside, the barricade stopped much of her impact but she still felt every bit of the force that comes with the collapse!
Persephone: Should’ve broken her arm doing all that. Would’ve preferred that too.
James Peters: The referee could proceed with the count, but he sees Mia Santoro sliding out of the ring now! Santoro walks over toward Hayley with quite the eagerness as she’s dragging Morrow over to the apron while she’s still trying to get herself in check! Mia has her arm around Hayley’s waist, and soon LIFTS HER UP… WITH A BACK BODY DROP RIGHT ONTO THE UNFORGIVING APRON!! Hayley felt all of that as she’s arching outward in immense pain!!!
Rich Russillo: Now the referee is restarting the count, but doesn’t get much time to do exactly that as Mia is pushing Hayley back into the ring! Santoro slides back into the ring herself, in quite the hurry to close off this match with Morrow as she hooks the leg! Victory on the horizon!
ONEEEE!!!
TWOOO!!!!
THRE—
James Peters: ITS A KICKOUT!! Hayley Morrow refuses to stay down as Mia can simply shake her head at the thought of this bout persisting on.
Persephone: Wow! We have something in common then!
Rich Russillo: Now Mia’s very eagerly dragging Hayley over to the nearest corner that she possibly can! Morrow still hasn’t been able to get back up, and Santoro wants to take every advantage available while they remain present! Mia now climbs up to the top turnbuckle, with her eyes set directly on Hayley as Mia is finding her balance… BUT NOT BEFORE HAYLEY SPROUTS UP HERSELF AND DELIVER A FOREARM RIGHT ACROSS MIA’S CHEST! Now Mia is in a vicarious position that can turn for the worst against Hayley!
James Peters: Hayley is now making the attempt to get Mia back into the worst spot possible, as she gets herself up to the middle turnbuckle, delivering repeated forearms as Mia is trying to shield herself the best she can! Hayley now gets her arm around Santoro… wait a second, I believe Hayley Morrow is aiming for one hell of a maneuver here!!! SHE IS!! SHE’S GOING FOR THE AVALANCHE SPANISH FL—
Rich Russillo: MIA WITH A THROAT CHOP! Hayley’s coughing up a storm once more as now Mia is able to position herself accordingly, and she leaps off as—SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB SENDS HAYLEY MORROW CRASHING DOWNWARD RIGHT ONTO THE BACK OF HER NECK!!! MIA MAINTAINS THE PIN ATTEMPT AS THE REFEREE MAKES THE COUNT!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEE—
James Peters: NOT ENOUGH! KICK OUT! Santoro sees her opportunity here to put Hayley away, even still she is reaffirming her actions as she’s dragging Hayley back toward the corner! Mia is moving up to the top yet again, and this time there’s no Hayley Morrow to stop her as her opponent is laid out on the mat without any avenue to evade what’s gonna occur next!! MIA SANTORO LEAPS OFF WITH THE SHOOTING STAR!!!!
Rich Russillo: NO ONE HOME!!! HAYLEY IS ABLE TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!!! But Mia Santoro had the necessary wherewithal to land right on her feet and roll through! Santoro evades potential catastrophe for now as she quickly turns herself around to face Morrow—ONLY FOR HAYLEY TO CONNECT WITH A FIERCE SUPERKICK FOR GOOD MEASURE!! Now Santoro is immensely stunned, Mia still feels confident in her abilities through the impairment as she goes for a forearm.. BUT HAYLEY DUCKS THE FOREARM & MOVES BEHIND MIA BEFORE NAILING A SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX!!! MIA LANDING ON THE BACK OF HER NECK AS SHE’S LAID OUT ON THE CANVAS!!
Persephone: Don’t tell me she’s got a genuine shot…
James Peters: Now Hayley Morrow’s got herself a statement to make here!! Mia is laid out after the snap dragon suplex, and Hayley is eyeing up toward the turnbuckle! Morrow gets herself underneath the ropes and onto the apron, before using the ropes to will herself back up to her feet before moving up to the top turnbuckle! Hayley has her sights set directly on Santoro, with every reason in the world to throw all caution to the wind, HAYLEY LEAPS OFF—AND THE SHOOTING STAR PRESS IS SUCCESSFUL!!! THE COVER!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEE—
Rich Russillo: KICKOUT FROM MIA SANTORO!!! Hayley is now feeling the frustrations set in, but she’s still maintaining a high degree of her own focus as she’s looking to put Mia through a rather strenuous effort here! Hayley rolls herself away from Mia and to the apron, now eagerly laying in wait for Santoro to get back up to her own feet. Mia is groggy on both legs, perhaps having no idea where she may be as she slowly turns to Hayley… with Hayley leaping right up onto the top rope, and now LEAPING TOWARD MIA WITH THE ‘FEAST OF FIRE’—
James Peters: SUPERKICK!!!! SUPERKICK WHILE HAYLEY WAS IN FLIGHT IMMEDIATELY SENDS MORROW CRASHING DOWN! Now Mia’s got Hayley where she could possibly want her as she’s dragging her opponent right back to her feet! With Hayley utterly dazed and nowhere else to go… Santoro wastes time with the ‘BLACKEST HOUR’!!! SWINGING FISHERMAN NECKBREAKER IS SUCCESSFUL AS MIA HOOKS THE LEG!!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEE—
Persephone: Oh my god STOP kicking out!!! Enough!!! Where the hell is Luis when I need him!???!?
Rich Russillo: HAYLEY INDEED KICKS OUT AS MIA HAS QUITE THE LOOK OF SURPRISE! But this doesn’t deter Santoro for long, as now she’s quick to get Hayley back in position for what can surely end this match!! Mia has Hayley exactly where she wants her, getting herself up to the top rope while Morrow remains down and out… this is it!!! ‘CHASE THE FEELING’ TO SECURE VICTORY!!!
James Peters: NO ONE THERE! HAYLEY AT THE NICK OF TIME AVOIDS DISASTER AS MIA SANTORO SHARPLY LANDS ON HER TAILBONE! Santoro’s in a world of hurt at the moment as this would be a severe miscalculation!!! Hayley rolled herself onto the apron while evading disaster! With Mia stumbling up to her own feet, SHE’S NOT ABLE TO PREPARE FOR THE ‘FEAST OF FIRE’ THIS TIME!!! SPRINGBOARD FOREARM SMASH CONNECTS AS MIA IS DOWN!!! HAYLEY WITH THE COVER!!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEE—
Persephone: UGHHHH ANOTHER KICKOUT!
Rich Russillo: NOW HAYLEY’S DRAGGING MIA BACK UP, NO MOTION WASTED!!! SHE’S GETTING READY FOR THE ‘BLACKWATER PARK’—BUT MIA TACKLES HAYLEY THROUGH THE ROPES AND OUT OF THE RING! NOW BOTH WOMEN ARE ON THE OUTSIDE, AND THEY’RE THROWING THE RIGHTS WITH NO ONE WILLING TO BACK DOWN!!! THE REFEREE IS COUNTING!!!
ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
James Peters: HAYLEY WITH A FOREARM! MIA WITH A FOREARM! HAYLEY RETURNS FIRE WITH A SUPERKICK! MIA’S DAZED, BUT NOT BEFORE DELIVERING A SUPERKICK OF HER OWN!! BOTH WOMEN STAGGERED AS THE COUNT IS STILL PERSISTING!!!
FIVE! SIX! SEVEN!
Rich Russillo: MIA’S SOON RUSHING TOWARD HAYLEY WITH A HUGE ENZIGURI THAT ROCKS MORROW TO HER CORE!! HAYLEY IS STAGGERING… BUT SHE’S ABLE TO FIND THE WILLPOWER TO SEND A DISCUS ELBOW STRIKE ACROSS MIA’S JAW!!! BOTH WOMEN HAVE BEEN BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF EACH OTHER!!!
EIGHT! NINE!
James Peters: THE COUNT!!! THE REFEREE IS GONNA COUNT TO TEN…..
Rich Russillo: BUT BOTH WOMEN ARE BACK TO SPARRING ONCE MORE!!! THE REFEREE HAS NO CHOICE!!!!
TEN!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, as a result of a double count-out, this match has been declared a NO CONTEST!!!
Persephone: Well they’re still fucking each other up!! Someone tell them it’s over!!!
James Peters: THE TWO WOMEN WERE DOING ALL THAT THEY COULD! THEIR STRIKES CONTINUE TO ECHO ACROSS THE ARENA AS THE REFEREE IS NOW SLIDING THROUGH TOWARD THEM TO SEPARATE THEM!! EACH WOMAN HAS IMMENSE OPPORTUNITIES ON THE HORIZON—AS MIA SENDS A STRONG ELBOW RIGHT ACROSS MORROW’S TEMPLE OVER THE REFEREE’S BACK!
(A few more officials run out to separate the two. Mia would get herself up onto the announce desk, with an adrenaline induced glare of determination as the referees keep Hayley away. The crowd responds in waves of immense reaction toward Santoro as she raises her arms in the air, glaring outward toward the audience with an affirmed grin.)
Mia Santoro: (off-mic) WE WILL NOT BE UNDERESTIMATED! THE WAKE UP CALL… IS BRINGING THOSE TAG TITLES HOME WITH US!!
James Peters: Wow!! Mia Santoro with strong words as she’s garnering quite the reaction from the audience tonight! Both women may have not garnered a win here, but they’ve proven that they have all of the heart in the world to be the best!
Rich Russillo: Santoro’s especially shown she’s more than ready for her impending Unified Tag Team Championship match alongside Donovan Duke against the Jaded Hearts! And with Hayley’s eyes set on gold herself, we’re looking at one hell of a future if they continue this trajectory!
(Santoro remains standing on the announce desk with immense fire in her eyes & the crowd continuing to react highly, as the referee keeps Hayley away from Mia while she slowly sports a small grin herself before the scene fades.)
(As Voltage fades from the chaos at ringside, a screen at flashes across the video tron.)
[SCREENBAR – Noche De Violencia]
(The camera fades to the backstage area of the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, the location of Noche De Violencia. This is where Dr. Bethany Blue is seen, and her appearance causes boos to come from the fans in attendance tonight. Bethany is seen staring at one of the monitors backstage, watching as Molly Waters begins to announce one of the final awards of the night. As Bethany continues to watch, Molly’s voice could be heard through the screen.)
Molly Waters: Welcome back, everyone! It’s been an exciting night and we are down to the final two awards of the night. Up first… ‘Female Elitist of the Year’! Here are your nominees!
(Bethany continues to watch, and she’s not alone. Adam Lucas is with her, understanding how much this means to Bethany. The two remain silent, watching as the nominees flash on the screen.)
Molly Waters: And your winner…
(A smile begins to appear on Bethany’s face as Molly continues.)
Molly Waters: KASSIDY HEART!!!
Dr. Bethany Blue: … What?
(Dr. Bethany Blue continues to stare at the screen, only now she’s in complete disbelief. However, it wouldn’t take long for Kassidy’s music to hit as she walked out to accept what would be many awards. Seeing this would turn Bethany’s disbelief into anger.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: No… No. No no no, this isn’t right. What do you mean she won? Are you serious?? After everything I did for this place?? I was just the Universal Women’s Champion..
Adam Lucas: Beth, it’s oka-
Dr. Bethany Blue: NO, it’s NOT! It’s bad enough that I was screwed out of awards that I deserve, but of all people, WHY’D IT HAVE TO BE HER!?
(*CRACK!*)
(As Bethany says this, she slams her fist into the monitor, cracking the screen. She doesn’t stop there though, grabbing the monitor and slamming it onto the floor as she continues yelling, throwing whatever other objects she finds near her.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: WHAT’S SHE EVER DONE FOR THIS PLACE??? FIRST SHE STOLE MY CHAMPIONSHIP, NOW SHE’S STEALING THIS FROM ME, TOO??? WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING? WHY IS IT ALWAYS HER, WHY IS SHE STILL HERE???
(Bethany paces around for a moment, but just before Adam Lucas could try and calm her down, she stops in her tracks.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: That’s it. I’m not letting her get away with this.
(Bethany tries to storm out to the stage, but Adam quickly gets in front of her.)
Adam Lucas: :whoa: What are you doing?
Dr. Bethany Blue: What do you think!? I’m going out there and I’m ruining that stupid celebration! She doesn’t deserve any of those awards and I’m going to make sure she understands that.
Adam Lucas: Don’t go out there, you’re just going to cause a bigger problem.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Bigger than THIS? I doubt it.
(Bethany tries to walk past Adam, but Adam quickly stops Bethany once again. While he understands that Bethany is upset, he knows that attempting to ruin Kassidy’s acceptance speech is a bad idea, and would only make things worse.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: Get out of the way.
Adam Lucas: Beth, you don’t need to go out there. You’re going to get yourself into trouble.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Does that matter? Kassidy has gotten in my way too many times now, and I’m sick and tired of people stopping me from giving her what she ACTUALLY deserves. Just move!
(The two continue to speak, but before anything could happen, a few security guards begin to walk over to the area, having heard the commotion when Bethany broke the monitor. After this, the camera begins fading out, transitioning away from the unseen footage from Noche De Violencia.)
(After this, the camera fades to the backstage area of Coliseo Eduardo Dibós in Lima, Peru. Here, Sofia Clarke is seen holding a microphone in her hand, and she’s not alone. Standing beside her is Hall of Famer Rex McAllister, and the fans begin cheering loudly as Rex is seen standing next to her. As the cheers quiet down, Sofia begins to speak.)
Sofia Clarke: Ladies and gentlemen, right now I’m here with Rex McAllister to talk about the last few weeks of 2023. This month has been very significant Rex, and to start things off I’d actually like to talk about the return of your wife Raven Roberts, who’d win at Road to Redemption before teaming up with you just one week later. How does it feel knowing that she’s back in EAW?
Rex McAllister: It’s great, honestly. We all saw how well we worked together a few weeks ago, but more importantly I’m happy for her. It’s been a while since Raven’s been in the ring, and now that she’s back she hasn’t lost a step. Her and Madison Kaline took on the British Invasion and were able to win at Road to Redemption in a great return match, and the two of us were able to overcome La Familia. We’ve all seen how good she is. She’s a former World Champion for good reason, and I’m glad I had the opportunity to team up with her again at the Christmas show. While she’s back in EAW, we are on two different brands, so there wasn’t a guarantee that I’d get that kind of opportunity anytime soon. Needless to say, that was a great night for us, and I’m glad that Raven’s back.
Sofia Clarke: I’m glad to hear. While on the topic of these last few weeks, I’d like to ask about your own Road to Redemption match. We all know that things ended in very controversial fashion, so how do you feel about what happened there?
(Rex loses the smile on his face as he thinks about what happened at Road to Redemption, taking a few seconds before beginning to answer.)
Rex McAllister: Well, at the end of the day I lost, and I’m not too happy about that. I planned to leave Road to Redemption with the EAW World Championship but instead I left empty handed. I can’t change the fact that I lost so I don’t want to be the kind of person that dwells on that kind of thing for too long, but as you said the ending of that match was controversial, and it’s something I don’t think any of the participants in that Chamber anticipated, myself included. In the end it didn’t come down to any of us in the match from the start, it was all Charlie Marr. While Charlie won the tournament to be crowned the new Cash in the Vault holder we didn’t expect him to cash in immediately, though looking back maybe we should have. Charlie is calculating and in the end he got the better of us. I’ve had weeks to think about that loss, and I can definitely say this. I’m not satisfied. I still want to hold the EAW World Championship, and it’d be wrong if circumstances like this were enough to stop me from chasing after that title again. I know I’m capable of winning that Championship, and given the fact that I already defeated the current Champion back at Wicked Games, there shouldn’t be anything stopping me from eventually taking Charlie down.
Sofia Clarke: I know you and Charlie have a lot of history, and I’m sure Charlie’s actions at Wicked Games only added to it. I know you said you want to fight for the EAW Championship again, but does revenge have anything to do with it?
Rex McAllister: It’s definitely not the main reason I’m doing this. At the end of the day, I entered the Extreme Elimination Chamber because I wanted to hold that title, so it didn’t matter if it was Charlie or anyone else that cashed in that night. I’d still want to do what I failed to do back at Road to Redemption and I’d still work to make sure I’m able to become Champion. However, I can’t say I’ve forgotten about what Charlie’s done. He lied to not just me, but everyone who put their trust in him when he said he was retiring. It wasn’t right, and ultimately Charlie showed us back at Wicked Games that someone like him really doesn’t change. If he is still the Champion when I go after that title, I’ll make sure he realizes where he went wrong. It may not be payback, or the desperate attempt at revenge you may see from others, but I did defeat Charlie before he attacked me that night. I beat him once, and if given the opportunity, I’ll beat him again.
Sofia Clarke: Thank you, Rex. The next thing I’d like to ask you about is-
???: What are you doing?
(As this question is asked, Dr. Bethany Blue is seen walking into the camera’s view. This causes loud boos to come from the crowd, meanwhile both Rex McAllister and Sofia Clarke look confused.)
Sofia Clarke: I was having an interview with R-
Dr. Bethany Blue: Yeah, obviously, but why would you interview Rex? Wouldn’t you rather speak with me?
(Sofia doesn’t speak, instead just looking over to Rex, who is just as confused as she is.)
Sofia Clarke: Well, I-
Dr. Bethany Blue: No, it’s okay. I get it. You made a mistake, so let’s just clear things up. If there’s anyone you should be interviewing here, it’s me! After all, unlike Rex here I actually had a good year. I successfully cashed in my Empress of Elite crown, I held a World Championship, I main evented Pain for Pride, and I ended my year with a win at Road to Redemption even with Captain Charisma trying to screw me over with an unfair stipulation! Even with all of the adversity I’ve had to deal with, I managed to reach the top and prove that I am undoubtedly this company’s biggest asset. I reached my greatest heights this year and instead of crashing down to the bottom after my World Championship loss, I kept proving that I am the best EAW has to offer. I’m a role model for everyone else in this business and everyone watching from the sidelines, so don’t you think I’m the kind of person you should be asking these questions to? Why don’t you ask me how *my* Road to Redemption went? I’m sure you’d rather hear about my win than listen to Rex talk about his loss.
Sofia Clarke: …
Dr. Bethany Blue: Nothing? You know Sofia, I hope you understand you’re not just speaking to any member of the roster right now. I get there’s a lot of other people on the roster who’d love to have their voice heard, but if there’s anyone who deserves the chance to speak their mind, it’s me. Some would say that I had the best year of any Elitist on the roster, and honestly I should have been the one that left that Christmas show with the Elitist of the Year award, not Kassidy! The fact that I didn’t win is absurd, but Kassidy holding trophies she doesn’t deserve doesn’t change the fact that I’m the real Elitist of the Year. I deserved that award more than anyone else, and everyone that’s actually been watching over this past year knows it. I had the best 2023 of anybody on this roster, so why not focus on interviewing someone like me?
Rex McAllister: Are you done? :francis:
(Bethany turns towards Rex, seemingly confused by his response. Rex is clearly annoyed having to put up with this, but Bethany doesn’t seem to realize it yet.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: Is something wrong?
Rex McAllister: I’ve just had enough of crazy for one season.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Really, Rex?
(Rex doesn’t respond, though. Instead, he turns around and begins walking away from the area. This leaves Bethany and Sofia in the area, but Bethany just stares towards Rex, not happy with his response just now. From there, Voltage fades away from the area.)
(Promotional ad for King of Elite, where the King of Elite tournament concludes.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades back in as a panaround is seen of the Coliseo Eduardo Dibós before the sounds of ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ by White Zombie are heard playing through the speakers. The crowd roars in approval as out from the backstage area emerges the NEW Universal Women’s Champion Minerva through a fog of smoke. With an orange rose gritted between her teeth, she shows off the new accessory that she has in the form of the Universal Women’s Championship, to which she raises in the air from there beginning to make her way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… the NEW EAW UNIVERSAL WOMEN’S CHAMPION!!!!!!!! ‘THE BLACK ROSE’… MINERVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Well if there is anyone that is in high spirits tonight, it’s Minerva, who is coming off of the biggest win of her career against Kassidy Heart, winning the Universal Women’s Championship and successfully cashing in her Iconic Cup for the second time. We know how much something like this means for her, and now that she’s Universal Women’s Champion we can only expect her game to be elevated from there.
James Peters: If I could predict, we haven’t seen anything yet. I am pretty certain myself that an Elitist like Minerva has high expectations for herself especially now in the position that she is in. And I’m sure that she’s not going to waste any time going to work which seems to be why she is out here tonight, looking to speak her mind inside of the ring!
Persephone: Her AND Myles as World Champions? This is the bad timeline…
(Minerva makes her way up the steel steps and onto the apron, quickly heading toward the center of the ring as she poses with her title to the loud cheers of the crowd. From there, ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ begins to come to a close and Minerva makes her way over to get a microphone from the ringside area. And after sometime, she begins to speak to the crowd in attendance.)
Minerva: Even now it’s hard to formulate words to describe this feeling that I have with this title in my possession. But what I can say is that this feels special, special in a way that exceeds anything else that I have been able to do in my career. That’s something that I knew from the very beginning would be true, knowing the type of match that I was stepping into at Road To Redemption, knowing the type of opponent that I will be facing. It goes without saying just how good someone like Kassidy Heart is, mostly because she won’t let you hear the end of it. She is a once in a lifetime Elitist that I will continue to give credit for in regards to presence and impact in this company. I always considered myself to be great, comparable amongst some of the best in the EAW, and while most could say that I was one of the best female Elitists currently, I knew in my mind that wouldn’t be true if I didn’t accomplish what had eluded me all of this time. It wouldn’t be remotely close if I couldn’t beat Kassidy Heart. What happened during my rookie year is still embedded into my mind, but with that the distance that continued to place itself in between then and now has only continued to fuel my fire, my passion, my resolve. I knew that as soon as I got the opportunity, I would take her down, and I would do everything that I possibly could in order to do it. I gave my all, I gave more than I could have ever given in order to do it. And I find myself rewarded for my blood, sweat, and tears with the one thing that matters most to me. That is the Universal Women’s Championship.
(Minerva takes the title and raises it into the air, as the crowd continues to cheer loudly for the Champion while she does.)
Minerva: This marks the second time that I’ve successfully cashed in the Iconic Cup, and the second time that I’ve done so and won this Championship. While I could compare it to that, this time, things are so much different than they were in 2020. I can’t compare something like that when the Minerva that you see now is so much stronger than the one she was before. The fact that I straight up defeated Kassidy Heart when nobody else could this Season is proof of that. But what I can say is that I maintain the same goals and ambitions that I did all those years ago. With this title around my waist it reminds me of what I’ve had to sacrifice to get here, and the meaning of this reign and how it started. It is not something that I take for granted whatsoever even after all of the time that I have spent in this company already. I’ve shown in the past that I have been willing to be a fighting Champion no matter the circumstance, and this time around I do not intend to be any less, in fact, I plan to be more. If you think you have me all sorted out, that you think that you have all the answers, well then I recommend you think again. Because I not only plan to elevate this title, but I also plan to elevate myself higher than I have ever been before, and I promise that when it is all said and done, this will be the greatest reign that I’ve had yet in the EAW. And I dare anyone to try and prove me wrong-
(To the surprise of many, the sounds of ‘A Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ by Yoko Takahashi is heard blaring through the speakers of the arena, interrupting the Universal Women’s Champion in what she has to say. This certainly catches Minerva’s attention as she looks toward the stage to see Saturday Night Showdown’s Usagi Senshi begin to make her way out from the backstage area and toward the stage. She has a smirk on her face as she’s welcomed back to the Voltage brand which she was just a part of last Season. She eyes the Champion inside of the ring, her intentions already made very clear as to why she’s out here tonight, before then beginning to make her way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Rich Russillo: Well this is a welcome surprise, it seems that Usagi Senshi is the one to come out to the ring and accept what seems to be a challenge from Minerva to anyone to face her. We know her and Usagi have some history dating back to earlier this year, where Minerva got a victory against her at the Tempest Marquee Event. But right now it looks like Usagi is coming out to right some wrongs knowing what happened, and what better way to do that then not only beat her but also take a Women’s Championship into her possession as well?
James Peters: Road To Redemption saw Usagi beat ARIA in a match that was a long time in the making between the two former friends. And now that it’s been put in the past, she was very quick to have moved on and looked toward the future, and the future lies in taking her career to the next level in this company.
Persephone: MAN! I thought we were through with seeing her! What the fuck happened that allowed her to come back here?! BOOOOOOO! TOMATO! TOMATO!
(Usagi climbs up onto the apron and enters into the ring, making her way over and taking a microphone from the ringside area. ‘A Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ from there begins to come to a close as she and Minerva find themselves face-to-face. Usagi takes a moment, before raising her microphone and beginning to speak.)
Usagi Senshi: I’m so glad that bitch is off of my back so we can move onto having moments like this. It’s funny, ARIA spent so much of my time trying to take my spotlight, my moments, and what I had worked so hard to gain, that I for the longest time had lost sight of what truly matters. Now with her completely behind me, having beaten her at Road To Redemption exactly as I foresaw and having gotten rid of her from my career forever, I can finally see clearly. I can understand now just what I need to do, and what I need to do is finally get my career back on track. Focus on taking what I have done to the very next level in terms of accomplishments and competition. And what I prioritize the most is doing something that I have failed to do countless times in the past, and that is win a Championship.
(The crowd gives a loud reaction to this, Usagi quickly eyeing the Universal Women’s Championship that is over the shoulder of Minerva before batting her eyes back up to the Champion’s. After a moment she then proceeds to continue.)
Usagi Senshi: We’ve faced each other before, Minerva, I am certain that was the first thing that was on your mind as soon as I made your way out. Just last Season, you and I were at the Tempest Marquee Event, and it’s safe to say that we both gave our all that night. You had pushed me to my absolute limit, and gave me the tools that I needed to continue on with what I had already been doing on the Voltage brand. And while I lost back then, what you see before you is the aftermath of such. As I find myself in a completely different stage in my career, the level of competition that I am able to beat also continues to widen, and I find myself having reached the threshold for what it takes to hold a Championship just like the one that you have around your waist right now. I plan to be your first and last challenger for the Universal Women’s Championship, because the Usagi Senshi you faced earlier in the year is absolutely nothing compared to the one that is standing in front of you now.
(The passion in Usagi’s voice is heard loud and clear, and that is something that Minerva is quick to acknowledge with a simple nod of the head. She lets the crowd get their reactions in before then proceeding to speak herself.)
Minerva: I don’t think I need to say that I’m not the type to back down from a challenge, especially being at the very top of the women’s division here in the EAW. Let me remind you that I have accepted challenges from anyone no matter if they were the very best in the company or the very worst, but regardless of that gauge in terms of skill it’s not often that those who challenge Minerva actually win. I see that you’ve changed, I see that you’re a completely different person than the one that I stood across the ring from at Tempest, but I also don’t see why you’d be the exception to the rule solely because of that. That doesn’t mean at all that you don’t warrant a shot at my title though, if this is the kind of fight that you really want, to truly test your skill, to do something that you have never done before, so be it. I’ll be more than happy to give you an opportunity at my Universal Women’s Championship.
(Minerva drops her microphone down to the ground, leaving it at that, as ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ would begin to play through the speakers again. She raises her title in the air one more time to the cheers of the crowd before she then turns around and begins to make her way out of the ring, having said all that needs to be said. Meanwhile inside of the ring, having heard all that she needs to hear, a satisfied Usagi Senshi is seen eyeing the Champion as she anticipates the future match that the two of them are going to have now that it has been made official by Minerva herself. The last shot seen is Minerva making her way up the ramp as the camera from there begins to come to a close and Sunday Night Voltage fades to the final commercial break of the night.)
(Commercial for Marvel’s What If Season 2.)
(Voltage returns to ringside, and Bella Braxton is seen with a microphone in her hand.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen… The following contest is a King of Elite tournament first round match, AND IT IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!
(‘Won’t Back Down’, by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers hits, and loud cheers follow. Michael S. Connor begins walking out to the stage, and he has a focused look heading into this match. After all, it’s a King of Elite first round match and he knows how big of an opportunity this is. With that in mind, he begins walking down the ramp, ready for his opponent.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first… From London, Ohio… Weighing in at 210 pounds… MIIIICHHAAEELLLL S. CONNNOORRRR!!!!!
James Peters: Michael S. Connor is here and ready for this match. We all know this one will be nothing personal, but even so there’s a lot on the line. The King of Elite tournament has started, who will win?
Rich Russillo: That’s what we’re all waiting to find out, and I for one can’t wait to see this match play out. We’ve already had some great matches tonight, I’m looking forward to seeing what Michael and Donovan bring to the table.
Persephone: I’m not.
(‘I Rise’ by Cory Marks hits, and this causes more cheers to come from the fans. Donovan Duke begins walking out to the stage, and much like Michael, Donovan looks focused heading into this. Donovan doesn’t spend too much time on the stage and begins heading down the ramp, but he does have a smile on his face seeing the positive reception being given to him tonight. As he makes it to ringside however, his attention is entirely on his opponent.)
Bella Braxton: And his opponent… From Stillwater, Oklahoma… Weighing in at 212 pounds… DOOONNNOOOVVAAANNNN DDUUUUKKEE!!!!!!!
James Peters: Donovan Duke is on his way out here, and we know he and Mia had some business with the Unified Tag Team Champions recently. I wonder if that at all will affect his mindset tonight.
Rich Russillo: I’d hope not. Having multiple options is good, but you don’t want to lose focus because of it. The King of Elite tournament is a big deal, and Donovan is one of those Elitists who has a good shot at winning it.
Persephone: Is he? He’s never been that impressive to me.
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: AND THIS MATCH IS UNDERWAY! Donovan and Michael quickly lock up in the center of the ring, and now Donovan looks to take control with a side headlock! Michael lifts Donovan up, but Donovan flips out of it before transitioning into a waistlock! Michael is able to power out of it though, and he grabs Donovan by the arm before going for a hammerlock! Both men seemingly trading holds at the start of this match, struggling for control early on in what I am sure will be a far more respectful match than what you’d see with many other members of the roster!
Rich Russillo: Donovan rolls out of the hammerlock before pulling Michael into a grounded headlock, and Michael is able to escape with headscissors! Both men return to their feet as Donovan escapes the headscissors, and now once again both men lock up, only this time it looks more like a power struggle than an attempt to transition into another hold! These are two very skilled wrestlers and we know that they both have a pretty technical style, so it’s interesting seeing how this one plays out! It looks like Donovan may be overpowering Michael- SO MICHAEL RELEASES THE LOCK UP BEFORE SLIPPING BEHIND DONOVAN, LOOKING FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX!
Persephone: But instead of getting dropped on his neck, Donovan somehow flips out of yet another suplex attempt. Yay… :francis:
James Peters: Donovan now grabbing Michael’s arm from behind before looking for a ripcord lariat, BUT MICHAEL DUCKS UNDER IT! Michael grabs Donovan before rushing into the corner, AND NOW MICHAEL ATTEMPTS TO TRANSITION TO AN O’CONNOR ROLL, BUT DONOVAN CONTINUES TO ROLL, TAKING CONTROL AS HE TRANSITIONS INTO AN O’CONNOR ROLL GERMAN SUPLEX- WHICH DOESN’T CONNECT THANKS TO MICHAEL CONNECTING WITH A BACK ELBOW!
Rich Russillo: MICHAEL NOW LOOKING TO SWEEP DONOVAN’S LEGS, BUT DONOVAN JUMPS OVER MICHAEL’S LEG BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A SHOOT KICK! DONOVAN NOW PULLING MICHAEL IN, AND HE CONNECTS WITH A SNAP SUPLEX! Donovan now with a quick cover!
ONE!
Rich Russillo: Just a one count as Michael kicks out! Donovan knows that’s not enough to keep him down and attempts to keep Michael on the mat with a rear chinlock, but Michael turns to his side before using his arm to sweep Donovan’s legs! Donovan is dropped to the mat and tries rushing back to his feet, BUT MICHAEL IS ABLE TO GET UP FIRST, AND HE USES THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH THE GERMAN SUPLEX!
Persephone: I’m praying Donovan landed badly.
James Peters: Well unfortunately for you, Donovan is already getting back up. That might not be good for Donovan though, AS MICHAEL KICKS HIM IN THE MIDSECTION AND PULLS HIM IN FOR TAPS- NO! DONOVAN GRABS MICHAEL AND LIFTS HIM UP, DROPPING HIM ONTO THE MAT WITH A NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX!!!! THESE TWO ARE JUST GOING BACK AND FORTH HERE, BUT DONOVAN LOOKS TO CHANGE THAT WITH A STANDING SHOOTING STAR PRESS TO MICHAEL S. CONNOR!!!
Rich Russillo: IT DOESN’T CONNECT, THOUGH! MICHAEL WAS ABLE TO GET THE KNEES UP, CAUSING DONOVAN TO ROLL OFF OF HIM IN PAIN! Both men slowly return to their feet, AND NOW MICHAEL DROPS HIM WITH A CLOTHESLINE! Donovan stumbles back to his feet, but I don’t think he even knows where he is! MICHAEL CONNECTS WITH A SECOND CLOTHESLINE, AND THIS TIME DONOVAN STUMBLES INTO THE CORNER OF THE RING! MICHAEL NOW RUNNING IN, AND HE DELIVERS A FOREARM SMASH!!! MICHAEL NOW RUNNING THE ROPES AS DONOVAN STUMBLES OUT OF THE CORNER-
Persephone: :mjlol: BUT DONOVAN DUCKED DOWN AND LIFTED MICHAEL OVER THE TOP ROPE! Michael just looked so stupid! The only way that could’ve gone better is if Michael got injured from that fall!
James Peters: Well he didn’t, and Donovan knows that! He sees Michael getting back to his feet, BUT HE DOESN’T GIVE HIM ANY TIME TO RECOVER! DONOVAN QUICKLY RUNS THE ROPES, AND BEFORE MICHAEL EVEN REALIZES WHAT’S GOING ON, DONOVAN TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! This has been a great match so far, and it looks like Donovan Duke has taken control of this one as he rolls Michael back into the ring!
Rich Russillo: Donovan now beginning to head up to the top rope while Michael is down and out inside of the ring, and ladies and gentlemen this is all to advance to the second round of the King of Elite tournament! Huge opportunity here for both men and Donovan knows this very well, AS HE DIVES ON MICHAEL FOR STACK THE DECK- NO! BAD MOVE! DONOVAN WENT FOR THE PHOENIX SPLASH BUT IT DIDN’T CONNECT! INSTEAD MICHAEL MANAGED TO GET OUT OF THE WAY, AND AS SOON AS DONOVAN GETS BACK UP, MICHAEL DROPS HIM TO THE MAT WITH A PICTURE PERFECT DROPKICK!
Persephone: Michael quickly grabs Donovan by the leg before transitioning into a single leg Boston crab, and I’m gonna need Donovan to tap out right now! I didn’t ask for thirty minute snoozefest matches between two bums that can’t win any matches that actually matter.
James Peters: I don’t think you need to be so rude-
Persephone: WAIT, WAIT A SECOND, SHUT UP! DONOVAN IS TAPPING, LOOK AT HIS HAND!
James Peters: No he’s not! He’s trying to reach towards the ropes, but they’re in the center of the ring so it’s not possible!
Persephone: :mjcry:
James Peters: Donovan doesn’t give up there, though! He begins to slowly push himself to his side, BEFORE TURNING AROUND ONTO HIS BACK, KICKING MICHAEL AWAY FROM HIM AS MICHAEL RELEASES THE HOLD! Both men now returning to their feet- AND DONOVAN NEARLY CONNECTED WITH DEALER’S CHOICE, BUT MICHAEL BARELY DUCKED UNDER IT BEFORE HOOKING DONOVAN’S ARM, PULLING HIM INTO THE DOUBLE UNDERHOOK FOR TAPS!!! MICHAEL WENT FOR THE DOUBLE UNDERHOOK DDT, BUT JUST BEFORE HE COULD PULL DONOVAN DOWN, DONOVAN RUSHED INTO THE CORNER, SENDING MICHAEL BACK FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLES! Donovan backpedals out of the corner as Michael stumbles out-
Rich Russillo: AND MICHAEL STUMBLES RIGHT INTO DONOVAN’S GRASP!!! DRAWING DEAD!!! DRAWING DEAD CONNECTS, AND MICHAEL S. CONNOR MIGHT JUST BE OUT OF THIS ONE! DONOVAN WASTES NO TIME HOOKING THE LEG, AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE MAY BE MOVING ON TO THE NEXT ROUND!
ONE!
TWO!!
THR-
James Peters: NO! MICHAEL STAYS IN THIS ONE, GETTING THE SHOULDER UP JUST BEFORE THREE! Donovan doesn’t waste any time though, AS HE QUICKLY TRANSITIONS INTO A TRIANGLE CHOKE, LOOKING TO FORCE MICHAEL TO EITHER TAP OUT OR PASS OUT! I think Donovan knows Michael can’t have much left after that!
Persephone: GOOD! That means Michael should be tapping out soon! Either that or he can be stubborn and be forced to pass out. Either way this match is gonna be ending soon, because there’s just no way a bum like him can escape that submission after already getting hit with a big move. I know Donovan sucks, but surely his moves aren’t THAT ineffective. I’m telling you guys right now, very soon we’re gonna hear that bell ring and this match is gonna be over. Took way too long for this to happen, but it is what it is.
James Peters: Well Michael isn’t giving up that easily! He’s trying his best to push himself back to his feet, but the longer he stays in this submission, the weaker he’ll become! Michael doesn’t have much time to make a move, and if there’s anyone who knows this, it’s definitely Michael himself! This was a great move on Donovan’s part! Will Michael be able to find his way out of this, or will Donovan be advancing to the next round of the King of Elite tournament!? I have to admit, right now it’s starting to look like the latter!
Rich Russillo: WAIT, NO! LOOK! MICHAEL HAD DROPPED BACK DOWN TO THE MAT, BUT NOW HE PUSHES HIMSELF BACK TO HIS FEET BEFORE SLOWLY POWERING DONOVAN DUKE UP! MICHAEL IS LIFTING DONOVAN UP INTO A POWERBOMB CARRY, AND NOW HE RUSHES INTO THE CORNER OF THE RING BEFORE THROWING DONOVAN INTO THE TURNBUCKLES, CONNECTING WITH A BUCKLE BOMB TO SAVE HIMSELF AND DO SOME MUCH NEEDED DAMAGE TO DONOVAN IN THE PROCESS! WHAT A MOVE BY MICHAEL! DONOVAN STUMBLES OUT OF THE CORNER, AND I DON’T THINK HE EVEN KNOWS WHERE HE IS RIGHT NOW-
James Peters: TAPS!!! DONOVAN FELL OUT OF THE CORNER, AND THIS ALLOWED MICHAEL TO CONNECT WITH TAPS, THE DOUBLE UNDERHOOK DDT!!! DONOVAN WAS JUST DROPPED ON HIS HEAD IMMEDIATELY AFTER BEING THROWN INTO THE TURNBUCKLES, AND I THINK THAT MAY HAVE TAKEN DONOVAN OUT! MICHAEL NOW HOOKING THE LEGS, AND WE MAY SEE MICHAEL S. CONNOR ADVANCE TO THE NEXT ROUND OF THIS TOURNAMENT!
ONE!
TWO!!
THRE-
Rich Russillo: NO! THIS ONE ISN’T OVER YET!!!
Persephone: WHY NOT???? Why does everyone think they have to prove how tough they are?? We don’t care, just go away! I’m tired of all these kickouts, just let the match end already!
James Peters: Michael S. Connor sits up, and I think he’s taking some time to think about what it’ll take to keep Donovan down. Michael doesn’t have an easy match in front of him and he knows that, but him knowing this won’t mean anything if he can’t do anything about it. Donovan is resilient and has a lot of heart, so Michael will have to throw everything he can at Donovan before Donovan has a chance to start fighting back! If Donovan gets back into this, that could mean bad news for Michael!
Rich Russillo: Michael knows this though, and now he’s lifting Donovan up before placing him on the top rope! Michael seems to have some sort of big move on his mind, and whatever it is, it may just be what he needs! No move from the top rope goes without doing a ton of damage to the opponent, and it looks like Michael is serious about this, as he’s making his way up to the middle rope! We don’t see this very often from Michael S. Connor, but this is the King of Elite tournament! If there’s any time for him to bring out moves he doesn’t normally do, it’s now!
James Peters: That’s right, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE DONOVAN ISN’T DOWN AND OUT JUST YET! DONOVAN TRIES TO THROW A RIGHT HAND AT MICHAEL, BUT MICHAEL BLOCKS IT BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A FOREARM! Michael continues to deliver more forearms, wearing Donovan down and making sure he doesn’t have enough in him to keep fighting back! Donovan looks like he’s done, and that means Michael now has the chance to go for whatever he was looking for without any interruptions! Donovan may have just lost his chance to win the King of Elite tournament!
Rich Russillo: Michael now pulling Donovan into a front facelock, AND IT LOOKS LIKE MICHAEL IS SETTLING FOR A SUPERPLEX! IT’S NOTHING FLASHY, BUT IT DOES ALL THE DAMAGE NECESSARY TO TAKE THE OPPONENT OUT OF THIS MATCH! MICHAEL GETS DONOVAN IN POSITION BEFORE LIFTING HIM OFF OF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE, AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE ABOUT TO SEE A SUPERPLEX!
Persephone: Nope. Even after all those forearms, Donovan is able to find a counter. Michael’s attacks must feel like getting hit with pillows for Donovan to still be in this match. Why can’t anyone wrestle good? :francis:
James Peters: WELL THE ONE THING THAT WAS CORRECT ABOUT PERSEPHONE’S WORDS WAS THE FACT THAT DONOVAN FOUND A COUNTER! DONOVAN WAS ABLE TO LAND BACK ON HIS FEET WITH A SUNSET FLIP TRANSITION, AND NOW HE PULLS MICHAEL OFF OF THE MIDDLE ROPE, BEFORE DROPPING HIM ONTO THE MAT WITH A SIT-OUT POWERBOMB!!!! THE SIT-OUT POWERBOMB CONNECTS, AND NOW DONOVAN HOLDS MICHAEL IN PLACE FOR THE PIN!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE-
James Peters: NO, ONCE AGAIN MICHAEL IS ABLE TO KICK OUT! BOTH MEN ARE REFUSING TO QUIT RIGHT NOW! WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR THEM TO WIN THIS MATCH!?
Rich Russillo: Donovan grabs the ropes and pulls himself back to his feet, and I think he knows he doesn’t have many options left! Donovan drags Michael back up before lifting him up onto his shoulders- AND WAIT A SECOND! DONOVAN ISN’T JUST LOOKING FOR A FIREMAN’S CARRY! IF I’M NOT MISTAKEN, I BELIEVE DONOVAN IS LOOKING FOR HIS FINISHING MOVE, THE DUKE OF HAZARD! DONOVAN IS LOOKING TO PUT THIS ONE AWAY- BUT LOOK AT MICHAEL S. CONNOR! MICHAEL IS ABLE TO SLIP OUT OF DONOVAN’S GRASP, BEFORE APPLYING A SLEEPER HOLD! WHAT A COUNTER BY MICHAEL S. CONNOR!
James Peters: DONOVAN DUKE IS STUCK IN THIS SLEEPER HOLD, BUT FORTUNATELY FOR HIM, MICHAEL HASN’T TAKEN HIM DOWN TO THE MAT YET! AS LONG AS DONOVAN REMAINS ON HIS FEET HE STILL HAS A CHANCE, BUT IF MICHAEL IS ABLE TO DRAG HIM DOWN ONTO THE MAT, THIS ONE MIGHT JUST BE OVER! DONOVAN IS IN A TOUGH SITUATION RIGHT NOW, AND IT MAY ALL BE DECIDED WITHIN THESE NEXT FEW MOMENTS! DONOVAN IS TRYING HIS HARDEST TO FIGHT OUT OF THE SUBMISSION, BUT IT MIGHT NOT MEAN ANYTHING SOON ENOUGH! WILL THIS MATCH COME TO AN END THANKS TO THIS SUBMISSION!?
Rich Russillo: Michael S. Connor and Donovan Duke are both very skilled when it comes to these holds, but so much time has passed and these two have hit each other with so much that Donovan may not have it in him to find a counter as easily as he would earlier! Michael is using Donovan’s fatigue to his advantage, using a simple submission that may just be enough to take Donovan out! Donovan is starting to have trouble standing, and I think this is starting to look really bad for him! We may be seeing the end of this match right now!
Persephone: About time. I can’t believe we let a match like this last this long. This is actually making me sick.
James Peters: I think Donovan is starting to lose whatever strength he had left! At this point I think the match is just about over! All that’s left is for the referee to check whether or not he’s out, and we’ll have our winner moving on to the second round of this tournament! Donovan is only standing thanks to Michael S. Connor- AND NOW THERE IT IS! MICHAEL FALLS BACKWARDS, TAKING DONOVAN TO THE MAT-
Rich Russillo: BUT LOOK AT THIS! DONOVAN HAD SOME FIGHT LEFT IN HIM AFTER ALL, AND AS SOON AS MICHAEL WENT TO THE MAT, DONOVAN WAS ABLE TO ROLL OVER MICHAEL’S SHOULDERS AND HOLD HIM DOWN FOR A PIN!
ONE!
TWO!!
Rich Russillo: MICHAEL S. CONNOR KICKS OUT, AND NOW BOTH MEN STUMBLE BACK TO THEIR FEET BEFORE-
James Peters: DEALER’S CHOICE!!!! DONOVAN CONNECTS WITH THE SPINNING BACKFIST, AND NOW BOTH MEN ARE DOWN AND OUT ON THE MAT! WHAT A MOVE BY DONOVAN, AND JUST LIKE THAT, HE IS BACK IN THIS MATCH! NEITHER ONE OF THESE MEN ARE WILLING TO GO DOWN!
Persephone: This sucks. Nobody asked for them to do all this.
James Peters: Donovan is slowly powering himself back up to his feet, and I think now is his chance to put Michael S. Connor away! Both of these men have really pushed each other, but after that spinning backfist, Michael may have reached his limit! He hasn’t even moved after getting hit with it, and seeing that speed that doesn’t come as a surprise! Donovan grabs Michael S. Connor, and I think he’s about to finish this match! He pulls him up before-
(Suddenly, ‘Partition (Smearcase Trap Remix)’ by Beyoncé hits. This causes a loud, and mostly negative response to come from the fans in attendance. Donovan Duke immediately drops Michael after hearing this, and the referee watches as one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions Kassidy Heart begins walking out to the stage.)
James Peters: WAIT, WHAT IS KASSIDY HEART DOING HERE ON VOLTAGE!?
Rich Russillo: Donovan Duke was about to put Michael S. Connor away, but now Kassidy Heart is here! What is she doing, is she trying to distract Donovan or did she want to watch and see what he’s capable of!?
(Kassidy Heart walks down to ringside, carrying her Unified Tag Team Championship on her shoulder. As soon as she gets to ringside the referee rushes out of the ring, looking to make sure that she doesn’t get involved with the match. While Kassidy isn’t known to care too much about what officials say to her, she doesn’t look bothered by the referee, instead staring directly towards Donovan with a smirk on her face. Donovan on the other hand isn’t happy at all, but seeing that Kassidy is staying at ringside, he turns back to his opponent.)
James Peters: The referee is trying to deal with Kassidy at ringside, and it looks like that leaves Donovan and- WAIT, WAIT A SECOND! LOOK OUT DONOVAN!
Rich Russillo: RAW SIENNA!!!
James Peters: SIENNA JADE JUST RUSHED UP ONTO THE RING APRON FROM THE CROWD, AND AS SOON AS DONOVAN TURNED AROUND, SHE JUMPED ON THE TOP ROPE AND CONNECTED WITH HER FAMOUS SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK, KNOWN AS RAW SIENNA!!!!! SIENNA JADE JUST TOOK OUT DONOVAN DUKE, AND THE REFEREE DIDN’T SEE ANY OF IT BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO BUSY DEALING WITH KASSIDY HEART!!!!!
(Sienna Jade rolls out of the ring, leaving Michael S. Connor and Donovan Duke. Michael slowly begins to stir, and as he wakes back up, he sees Donovan down on the mat. He’s not sure why he is still down ever since the spinning backfist, but he doesn’t have the energy to worry about that right now. He begins crawling to Donovan, and only then does Kassidy point towards the ring, reminding the referee of what they should be focused on.)
Rich Russillo: MICHAEL S. CONNOR GETS HIS ARM ON TOP OF DONOVAN DUKE, AND HE DOESN’T EVEN REALIZE WHAT JUST WENT DOWN! EVEN SO, THERE’S THE REFEREE WITH THE COVER!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner, advancing to the next round of the King of Elite tournament… MIIICHAAAEELLLL S. COOONNOORRRR!!!!
(The fans aren’t happy that the Jaded Hearts got involved in that match and ruined it the way they did, so loud boos are heard coming from the fans in attendance. Michael S. Connor slowly pulls himself off of Donovan Duke, but as he tries to get up, Kassidy Heart and Sienna Jade enter the ring, still focused on Donovan Duke.)
James Peters: These two already got involved in the match, and it looks like they’re not done!
(Michael S. Connor initially has a confused look on his face as he sees the two, but on the stage is the titantron, and a replay of the ending of that match is being shown as always. Michael sees this, and he isn’t happy.)
Rich Russillo: Michael gets back to his feet as Sienna Jade goes after Donovan Duke, AND LOOK AT THIS! MICHAEL SHOVES SIENNA AWAY FROM DONOVAN! MICHAEL SAW WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END OF THE MATCH, AND NOW HE’S TRYING TO STOP THE JADED HEARTS FROM DOING ANY FURTHER DAMAGE! MICHAEL NOW SWINGING AT SIENNA-
James Peters: BUT SIENNA DUCKS UNDER IT, AND KASSIDY HEART DROPS MICHAEL WITH A SHOT TO THE FACE WITH HER UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!! MICHAEL S. CONNOR IS DOWN AND OUT, FORCED TO ROLL OUT OF THE RING IN PAIN AS THE JADED HEARTS HAVE DONOVAN TO THEMSELVES!
(The loud boos continue as the Jaded Hearts begin to turn their attention to Donovan, but before they get the chance to act, a more positive reaction comes from the crowd.)
Rich Russillo: WAIT, LOOK! MIA SANTORO IS RUNNING DOWN THE RAMP! MIA ISN’T ABOUT TO LET THE JADED HEARTS HURT DONOVAN ANY FURTHER!
James Peters: MIA SLIDES INTO THE RING, AND NOW SHE GOES AFTER KASSIDY HEART! MIA IS TRYING TO FIGHT KASSIDY, BUT NOT ONLY IS KASSIDY FIGHTING BACK, BUT SIENNA JADE IS THERE TO HELP HER!
Rich Russillo: MIA CONTINUES TRYING TO THROW PUNCHES AT KASSIDY, BUT KASSIDY LANDS SHOTS TO THE RIBS BEFORE SIENNA PULLS MIA AWAY FROM KASSIDY- AND STRIKING MIA WITH HER OWN UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! MIA SANTORO IS DOWN, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE JADED HEARTS ARE STANDING TALL TONIGHT AS THEY’VE JUST SENT A MESSAGE TO THEIR CHALLENGERS!!!!
(The boos now grow louder as Sienna Jade and Kassidy Heart stand over Mia Santoro and Donovan Duke, who are now both down and out inside of the ring. They both have smirks on their faces, and they raise their Unified Tag Team Championships together. After this, Voltage begins to fade to black.)
