Rising Star of the Week

Drake Armstrong

This week’s Rising Star of the Week was Drake Armstrong! Drake Armstrong competed on Super Showdown in a match against Ms. Extreme, and this would turn out to be a match with a very shocking outcome! Following interference from Kennedy Street that’d not only affect the result, but determine it, Drake Armstrong would pick up possibly the biggest victory of his career, defeating a former World Champion in Ms. Extreme. This was a huge win for Drake despite the circumstances, especially given the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation, which made this match even more dangerous! Congratulations to Drake Armstrong! 

Beef of the Week

Miku Sakai vs Donovan Duke vs Joso

This week’s Beef of the Week would be between Miku Sakai, Donovan Duke and Joso! On Super Showdown these three were scheduled to face off in a Cash in the Vault preview, and thanks to that, they ended up putting on a great match with an entire week filled with great promos! These three are all amazing talents and throughout their times on their respective brands they’ve proved this. This week was another week where they were at their best, creating a fantastic back and forth as they looked to build momentum ahead of the Cash in the Vault ladder match! 

Show of the Week

Super Showdown: A-Day

The Show of the Week for this week is Super Showdown’s A-Day! This show had a lot to offer with great matches such as the Cash in the Vault preview triple threat, the Falls Count Anywhere match between Drake Armstrong and Ms. Extreme, and the trios tag team match! That’s not all the show had to offer either as there were some fantastic confrontations and promos such as the one between Adam Lucas and Jake Smith, and some surprises such as doctors deciding that Kassidy Heart is unfit to compete and Impact taking Kennedy Street’s spot at Pain for Pride! This was such a great show, one that makes Pain for Pride so much more exciting than it already is!

Match of the Week

Methuselah vs Hikari Kanno

This week’s Match of the Week was the match between Methuselah and the Hardcore Champion, Hikari Kanno! On Voltage, these two competed in a fantastic match, one that was a rematch of their previous encounter at Shock Value 2022. Once again these two managed to deliver, and while this match may not have ended decisively thanks to both Drake King and TLA, both Elitists still managed to put on great performances and make this match more than worthwhile. These two are some of the best in EAW, let alone Voltage, and matches like this help prove that.

Promoer of the Week

Miku Sakai

This week’s Promoer of the Week was Miku Sakai! On Super Showdown the former Specialists Champion took on two of her Cash in the Vault opponents Donovan Duke and Joso, and Miku throughout the week delivered some fantastic promos in preparation for that match at Pain for Pride! Miku’s style of promoing has always revolved around insulting her opponents and showing them disrespect, and throughout this week she definitely didn’t hold back against either of her two opponents. Miku Sakai has proven to be a very talented Elitist that’s a threat to anyone she faces, and this was another week that perfectly showcased that fact.

Champion of the Week

Caroline

The Champion of the Week for this week was the New Breed Champion, Caroline! On Dynasty, Caroline competed against the Empress of Elite winner Serenity Valdez! This was a good match, and while there were some controversies involved thanks to the Specialists Champion Milli Banks, Caroline was ultimately able to pick up a big victory as she managed to defeat Serenity. On top of this, Caroline’s Pain for Pride fate would be decided as she ultimately accepted Hans Grayson’s challenge, making him her New Breed Champion challenger! This was absolutely a big night for the New Breed Champion! 

Most Valuable Elitist

Jake Smith & POTARA (Holly Arrow & Harper Lee)

This week’s Most Valuable Elitists are the Answers World Champion Jake Smith, as well as the Unified Tag Team Champions POTARA! On Super Showdown, these three competed in a huge trios tag in the final match of the night, taking on Cash in the Vault competitor Alex Myers, Hans Grayson, and Jake’s own Pain for Pride opponent, Adam Lucas! This was a fantastic match as Dominion watched on commentary, and it’d become controversial thanks to the appearance of the New Breed Champion, Caroline! In the end, the team consisting of Champions would pick up the victory heading towards Pain for Pride!
