(RECAP–Last week, the Elitists of Showdown participated in the Special Super Showdown called A-Day! The event took place from the Auburn Arena in Auburn, Alabama. Adam Lucas starts off the show talking about what Jake Smith said the week before and he is not happy about it before Jake Smith comes out and talks before Adam gives chase to Jake before holding back for the main event.The first match of the evening had the debuting Rain Kasey defeating Jamie Kazuki in singles action. The next match saw Michael Machina outlasting Harley Lewis, Scotty Connor, Lucas Johnson, Komatsu Ogawa, and Nyx in an Over the Top Rope Challenge to continue his undefeated streak. Then, Mikaela Street is backstage and gives the fans a special look at the Cross Brand Triple Threat Specialists Championship Contenders Match at Pain for Pride between Lexi, Jamie Cross, and Usagi Senshi.)
(The recap plays on as Jon Kelton defeats Dynasty’s Jamie Cross after a miscue from Lexi. After the match, Jon attacks Jack Ripley after Jack throws Londyn into the ring steps and then Lexi, Jamie, and Usagi Senshi start brawling. Next, Kyra Philips gives us a Cash in the Vault Spotlight while breaking down the Showdown participants in the Cash in the Vault Ladder match, Alex Myers and Donovan Duke, and their chances of winning the match.The next match had Drake Armstrong picking up the upset victory in a Falls Count Anywhere match after Kennedy Street pushed the competitors off the stage before she made herself the referee and delivered a quick count. Then Mikaela Street is backstage and she is interviewing Impact. They talk about his season and what has gone on before talking about his plans for Pain for Pride. The next match has Miku Sakai defeating Donovan Duke and Joso in a Cash in the Vault Preview Match. )
(The recap continues with a recap of what went down between Bethany and Kassidy on last week’s Voltage before Kass issued the challenge for a Glass Wallz match. Then it cuts to the panel of doctors and psychiatrists who start talking to and interview Kassidy. The Doctors ultimately rule not to clear Kassidy before Kassidy loses it and attacks the Doctors before being restrained by police. The next match was supposed to be Kassidy Heart vs. Veena Adams, but Kassidy Heart was hauled away in a police car. So, Veena and Ashlynn talk about how Veena was going to win anyway and how Veena will end the season with gold around her waist, but Jack Ripley comes from out of nowhere and superkicks both Veena and Ashlynn before posing with the National Elite Championship. The main event of the evening had Answers World Champion Jake Smith and the Unified Tag Team Champions POTARA defeating Alex Myers, Hans Grayson, and Adam Lucas when Holly pinned Hans after New Breed Champion Caroline appeared and struck Hans with the title belt. Finally, Kennedy Street is in the ring to make their match official with Ms. Extreme before Ms. Extreme comes to the ring and attacks Kennedy again before trying to force Kennedy to sign the contract. Then Impact comes out and attacks Ms. Extreme and signs the contract for himself as Kennedy reveals the fine print of the contract as she makes it Impact vs. Ms. Extreme at Pain for Pride. The final shot shows a hurting Kennedy Street holding up Impact’s arm as they stand over Ms. Extreme as the recap ends.)
(“Brick Wall” by A Day to Remember starts playing as Showdown is coming live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The crowd in the sold out arena are standing on their feet cheering for another exciting edition of Showdown. The crowd is going crazy with excitement for Showdown to begin as the camera pans around the arena showing as many fans as possible with their signs and merchandise before finishing at the commentary table where Deadprez, Eve, and Gavin Kirkland are sitting and ready to call the action. )
Deadprez: WE ARE TWO WEEKS AWAY FROM THE EXTRAVAGANZA KNOWN AS PAIN FOR PRIDE! But tonight, we welcome you to SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN! We are live from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. As always, I am Deadprez and alongside Eve and Gavin Kirkland, we will be calling all the action that the blue brand has to offer. How excited are you guys for tonight?
Eve: Let me tell you that excited isn’t the word for it. It is more than that. Like tonight, we will be hearing from Impact about what he did last week at the end of the last Showdown. I can’t wait to hear that explanation.
Gavin Kirkland: WOOOOOOOO! I LOVE SHOWDOWN!!! Always so much action. Like tonight we are going to hear from Lexi about her match at Pain for Pride.
Deadprez: She is very determined to win at Pain for Pride. Also tonight, Mikaela Street will sit down with Hans Grayson about his New Breed Title match at Pain for Pride. I am excited to hear what Hans has to say.
Eve: Me too, but tonight we will find out if Kassidy Heart will get her title match at Pain for Pride. Her analysis didn’t go that well last week, so we will see if her match with Dr. Bethany Blue will go on.
Deadprez: Finally, I heard that Jake Smith will be calling out Adam Lucas tonight. The last two weeks, these two have ended up brawling. Will it be three in a row or will cooler heads prevail? That will be tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: IT’S TIME TO TALK ABOUT THE MESSAGES, PREZZY!!! I LOVE THIS PART! Like tonight, we have a special tag team attraction. Opponents last week and tag team partners this week! It’s Jamie Kazuki and Rain Kasey team up to take on former partners Lucas Johnson and Komatsu Ogawa.
Eve: We also have a special interbrand match on tap for tonight. Triple threat action that will be a preview of the 24/7 Battle Royal. Voltage’s Korey Gaines will take on Dynasty’s Delilah Rose and Showdown’s Michael Machina. Who will get that extra momentum heading into Pain for Pride? We’ll find out tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: Also tonight, we have Jack Ripley taking on Ashlynn Quinn. Jack takes on Veena Adams at Pain for Pride, but will he be able to take out her bestie on the way to Nashville or will Ashlynn send Jack’s momentum crashing and burning?
Eve: We also have one half of the Tag Team Champions in action. Holly Arrow with Harper Lee in her corner takes on Ryan Joseph Wilson with Xander Payne in his corner. We also heard that the Queen Bees and Off-Brand Amphetamines will be at ringside, so this will be very interesting.
Deadprez: Interesting indeed. What’s also interesting tonight is our main event. We have a Special Pain for Pride rematch. It is going to be Ms. Extreme taking on Chris Elite. Last year, Chris Elite picked up the victory, but tonight Ms. Extreme is looking for retribution and momentum. Or will Chris Elite make it twice in a row against Camille? That will be tonight. Right now, let’s send it to the ring with the lovely Gina Romano to kick off Saturday Night Showdown!!
( How do you suck the atmosphere out of a room after such a fire opening? By pushing “M3tamorphosis” by Playboi Carti through the speakers, naturally. The excitement in the State Farm Arena turns off at the snap of the fingers, thunderous boos cracking through the air like a whip as Impact’s entrance music hits. Nobody in Atlanta, Georgia wants this — but like London buses, the disappointment and gut-punches come two at a time. Trailing behind the ten-time World Champion is none other than Kennedy Street, Showdown’s General Manager who has been engulfed in a bitter feud with Ms. Extreme. The aura, the vibe in Atlanta tonight? It’s deafening and negative. Like Stalin himself has risen from the grave, put on a blonde wig and red-bottomed heels and trotted on out here before the American faithful. )
( Last week, we saw a fiery back-and-forth between Kennedy and Ms. Extreme culminate with Impact taking out Ms. Extreme from behind, knocking her out and signing the unsanctioned match contract in Kennedy’s place. Since then, the match has been officialised. In two short, short weeks from now we’ll see Impact and Ms. Extreme go one-on-one! What a war that’ll be but we still are unsure why Impact, of all people, has taken Kennedy’s side! Neither Impact or Kennedy seem phased by the negative reception they’re receiving tonight. Almost as if it was expected on their half. Impact as a matter-of-fact is smirking as he rolls beneath the bottom rope and enters the ring, while Kennedy totters up steel steps and slides through the middle rope. Impact’s entrance theme dies down, but the crowd does not. I cannot even repeat some of the things I’m hearing right now. They’re not Disney friendly! But, with some time and patience, the crowd simmers and Impact gestures for a pair of microphones. Kennedy begins to speak. )
Kennedy Street: What a wonderful reception you’re giving me, Georgia. I’m touched! It’s clear to me you care oh-so much about me, while I haven’t given any of you a single thought in my life. Actually, that’s a lie. That’s a lie because casting our minds way, way back. Some fifteen years ago, I debuted in this very state. Judging from the sad, filled-out, grey-haired trollops sitting in the front row, I’m sure some of you remember that. A bushy-tailed, fresh-faced Kennedy Street looking to make a, pardon the pun, impact on this business. And what did I get? Hatred. Jealousy and hatred from a state that couldn’t put themselves behind one of their own. Trash thrown at me, people chanting vile things about me all because I wanted to chase a dream.
Kennedy Street: I wasn’t able to maintain my dreams. I didn’t grow up and become the very thing I sought to be, an Elite Answers Wrestling superstar. No, no. No World Championships for this little girl who saw her dreams dashed. But, me and the wrestling business have always been aligned and that’s shown. That’s shown through the hard work I’ve put into making Saturday Night Showdown the place to be since being put into power by Heidi Huxley. While I wasn’t able to be a consistent feature under the bright lights, the man standing next to me has. Impact has been the main name associated with this company for a long, long time. I mean, nobody has done what he’s been able to do. Be that this season or any season, really.
Kennedy Street: When I arrived in this company, Impact held the Answers World Championship and unlike names such as Alex Myers and Adam Lucas, he understood what that signalled. He understood holding a championship of that caliber, it’s not a simple man’s game. It’s about representing your brand and those in power on said brand. As far as I am concerned, himself and Kassidy Heart are the two biggest stars in this company and they’re both a huge part of why Showdown has been the undisputed number one brand this season. Because they’re not selfish and they play the game for their brand. This leads me into my next point, why did Impact show up last week and attack Ms. Extreme? Why did Impact seemingly have my back and sign himself on to take on Ms. Extreme at Pain for Pride, in a wrestling match for the ages?
( Loud jeers ring out around the State Farm Arena. It’d appear that the Georgia faithful have taken quite a liking to Ms. Extreme! Albeit, that could be to Kennedy’s insults and general attitude. Street tuts, shaking head from left-to-right, she persists once things have calmed own and she can continue to address those in attendance tonight. )
Kennedy Street: For a start, the match between Ms. Extreme and I? It was /NEVER/ going to happen. It was never sanctioned. So you all need to wake up, smell the coffee and realize you were dumb for believing otherwise and for putting your faith into someone like Ms. Extreme.
Kennedy Street: You only have yourselves to blame for ever thinking you’d see me in an official match here in Elite Answers Wrestling. I am a very, /VERY/ busy businesswoman. I’m practically at the helm of a multi-billion corporation, a machine. And you’d think I’d take time out of my busy schedule to teach Ms. Extreme a lesson? The burden of doing so doesn’t fall on me. Don’t misinterpret me here, I’m fully capable of wrestling a match. Putting on some old gear, any old thing really and wowing the mainstream media by kicking someone like Ms. Extreme around like the frail dog that she is. Honey, please. Let’s get real. Whyever would I reward her subordination and her constant verbal and physical attacks by giving her what she wants? That isn’t how the world works but truth be told, I didn’t even need to ask Impact to intervene.
( Kennedy stops talking with a grin on her face. She passes a glance over to Impact. Kennedy takes a few steps back as the camera slowly focuses in on Impact, he raises the microphone up from his side to before his lips and starts addressing his reasoning for helping Kennedy. )
Impact: Kennedy said something that I know stuck with you all. That I have been the face of Elite Answers Wrestling long before the Jake Smith’s and the Adam Lucas’ of the world arrived in this business. I’ve been here since the beginning, seeing building blocs formed and dismantled over-and-over again. But one thing has been ever present in this company’s footprints. My dominance. My championship reigns, my legacy. I’ve done it against so many different generations, I’ve thrived where everybody was writing me off. How am I thanked for giving my body to this company for fifteen-plus years? I’m cheated, I’m cast out. I’m ostracized and excluded from Pain for Pride, I’m plotted against and seen as enemy number one.
Impact: However, Kennedy has always held me in high regard. She didn’t toss me out into the cold when this promotion and its stupid rules allowed Jake Smith to cheat me of my Answers World Championship. She understood that hard work and consistency shouldn’t be allowed to be stripped out from under me. The Cash in the Vault allows people to take advantage, people who otherwise wouldn’t know the first thing about winning a World Championship. I should still be holding that belt, we all know it. Jake Smith was saved by a returning Chris Elite and then he was saved by Adam Lucas fluking a victory against me at Grand Rampage.
Impact: So what does this have to do with Ms. Extreme? Well, for me it’s personal. You see, before Kennedy Street came to Showdown, things were run by Hurricane Hawk. Hawk was senile, living in the glory days. He was too focused on keeping the peace, and in the process he was running Showdown into the ground. Ms. Extreme, she came back and she ran with the angle she did. Not appreciating Kennedy, her vision, coming in with the typical “screw the authority” attitude we’ve seen in abundance in the past. She took six months off, not having a clue what Showdown was going through, and came back to stir up headlines. She didn’t put in the work like myself, Kassidy and others did. She returned feeling privileged, taking up issue with whoever if it meant she got on the front pages and in the conversation.
Impact: Ms. Extreme cares about the attention she gets when she riles Kennedy up. She cares about the crowd liking her, about her social media following going up — she’s a fake. What issue does she really have with Disney? What has this company done to her that makes her do the things she does, week-in and week-out? While I kept my head down, ruled with the Answers World Championship and made defence-upon-defence, she was nowhere to be seen. Then she wants to run on in and tell us Hurricane Hawk was right, he should return, and that Kennedy is doing a bad job? Screw that. I want to rid Ms. Extreme because she represents that last little remnant of Hurricane Hawk. She’s got the wrong mind-set to swim with the sharks here on Showdown and I’m going to prove that when I beat her into the canvas—
( “They Call Me A God” by NEFFEX screams through the arena bringing an end to Impact’s monologue and raising a roar from the crowd! Ms. Extreme is here! The orange-haired scarlet walks out onto the stage, she has a microphone in hand! Impact scowls, throwing hands up in frustration while Kennedy Street looks on, laser-focused on a woman who has caused her much hassle over the last couple of months here on Showdown. Ms. Extreme doesn’t look all-too pleased with the situation at hand, a fair reaction given last week’s events. Camille waits for the crowd to stop serenading her appearance, raising the microphone now to her lips. )
Ms. Extreme: Let’s give a well-deserved round of applause for Kennedy Street. For proving us all right by finding whatever loophole she could to get herself out of the ass-kicking of a lifetime! But you know what? Shame on me, shame on me for not seeing this coming. Because I should’ve known. Just like a leopard not changing its spots, a rat doesn’t change its appearance either and Kennedy, that’s what you are. You’re a rat, who makes false promises, who abuses the people working under her who want to make this brand the best — who doesn’t know the meaning of actions having consequences as upper management coddles her. Plain and simple, you’re a bitch, Kennedy, and be it two weeks or two decades, I’ll one day get my hands on you.
Ms. Extreme: Impact, I don’t know what your problem is with me. We’ve had the odd run-in here and there since I made my return, my issues with Kassidy being at the forefront of that. But I really didn’t see this coming. Then again, having lost to Jake Smith and then Adam Lucas, I suppose you had no other option. Sitting out at Pain for Pride wasn’t an option for you, and I get it. Like it or not, I am a fighter. I’m the dictionary definition of a fighter, I have more heart than anybody on this roster and that includes you, too. It was never my intention to fight you, especially at Pain for Pride of all events. But, I’ll do what I have to do. To give these people a showing and to show Kennedy that she can throw mountains between us, I will find a way.
Ms. Extreme: So at Pain for Pride.. We’ll fight. Unsanctioned, sanctioned, I don’t care. I don’t care about what the contract says, or who is put before me. Because there’s one thing on my mind and that’s getting to you, Kennedy. It’s about getting my hands around your throat and beating the every-living sh*t out of you. But, I suppose, these fans want Showdown to start off with a bang. They want some action, right? I may not be able to get my hand on you in that ring at Pain for Pride, but as far as I’m concerned — there’s no reason I can’t kick your ass tonight!
( Tossing microphone to the side, Ms. Extreme slides off her jacket and sprints down towards the ring! The State Farm Arena has come unglued! Kennedy Street, predictably, is quick to vacate the ring, leaving Impact and Ms. Extreme to settle their differences and brawl! Ms. Extreme slides under the bottom rope and attempts to get to her feet — Impact, not one to back down from a fight, meets her! Impact laying into Ms. Extreme with kicks and punts, but Ms. Extreme is able to pull Impact’s weight out from beneath her. The two roll around, trading punches and forearms as security rushes down to ringside. What’s going to happen here? )
Deadprez: Ms. Extreme and Impact rise to their feet, trading forearm-on-forearm with one another and ensuring their faces will be bruised-and-battered heading into Pain for Pride!
Gavin Kirkland: Camille wobbles “The Quintessential Champion” with a hard right! She brings him in close and looks for the Swinging Neckbreaker! Kennedy looks mortified at ringside!
Eve: It connects! Twist of Fate lays Impact out, who is quick to roll to the outside with Kennedy’s assistance, pulling him out as Ms. Extreme takes in the crowd’s adulation. “The Red Queen” sends a message to both her opponent at Pain for Pride, and Kennedy Street, the Showdown General Manager who looks oh-so displeased! This isn’t what she had planned tonight.
( Kennedy Street helps Impact to the back, with Ms. Extreme keen to hold the ring. Impact, conscious after briefly being stunned by that Swinging Neckbreaker, is shouting at Ms. Extreme who merely shrugs her shoulders, taunting the ten-time World Champion. “That Bitch” turns her attention to the Atlanta faithful, gesturing for them to make some noise, which draws the ire of Impact and a noticeable scowl to illustrate across Kennedy’s facial features! We transition elsewhere to an ad for Pain for Pride, following a bombshell start to tonight’s episode of Saturday Night Showdown. )
(As Showdown returns from the ad, Ready to Die’ by the Notorious B.I.G. hits as Lucas Johnson comes out of the entrance stage, focused and determined as ever. He is met with boos from the audience who are against him compared to the somewhat fan favorites on the other end. He pays no mind, though, as he walks down the entrance ramp and heads inside the ring.)
(‘Get Going’ by the Muddy Apes plays as Komatsu Ogawa walks out with his manager, Yoshiaki Tanaka. Ogawa proceeds to make his way down the ramp and into the ring, locking eyes with Lucas before heading into his corner.)
Gina Romano: THIS MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL WITH A TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT! INTRODUCING FIRST, THE TEAM OF LUCAS JOHNSON AND KOMATSU OGAWA!
(‘Nxde- (G)I-DLE Ft. Steve Aoki’ plays through the speakers as the crowd goes with boos. Rain Kasey comes out and proceeds with a smile on her face. They proceed to boo her as she makes her way down the ramp and into the ring, where she stares down both Komatsu and Lucas. )
(“Metamorphosis” by Blue Stahli plays as Jamie Kazuki comes out to cheers. She high fives some of the fans before she runs to the ring, focused and determined. As she enters the ring, she stares down her competitors before shaking hands with Rain.)
Gina Romano: AND THEIR OPPONENTS, THE COMBINED TEAM OF JAMIE KAZUKI AND RAIN KASEY!
DING! DING! DING!
Eve: Here we go! Both of these competitors and tag teams are extremely locked in here tonight, as Komatsu and Lucas decide that Lucas will take the first opportunity! Jamie does so for the other team, and both Lucas and Jamie are circling the ring! It’s clear that Lucas is the more aggressive competitor, grabbing Jamie as he throws her overhead with a shoulder throw!
Gavin Kirkland: And Lucas comes in with rapid fire kicks to different parts of her body! Left, right and center as Lucas is coming in and making sure she doesn’t get any rest! It’s clear that Jamie might be messed up from the jump here, as Lucas pulls Jamie into the ropes, causing her to rebound as he puts her down with a chop! He’s looking over at Ogawa and nodding, as he tosses her into an empty corner!
Deadprez: This is starting to get incredibly violent here, and I’m all for it! Lucas repeatedly strikes her with body shots, and he immediately goes for a devastating knee to the gut! Jamie is down, as Lucas pulls her up and throws her overhead! BACK BODY DROP puts Jamie down and Lucas is feeling it! Rain wants to do something but she can’t! It’s clear that Lucas is having full control of this match!
Eve: And it seems like Lucas wants to tag Komatsu in! If this wasn’t insult to injury enough, he wants to make this even more of a mismatch than it is! Komatsu is bowing his head down and he’s smiling! Jamie tries to go towards Rain, but Komatsu grabs her and he begins brutally slamming her head against the concrete! Dude is showing zero chill here! Komatsu lifts her up with a German Suplex, before throwing her right on her head! He’s screaming at the top of his lungs now, and Rain is disappointed!
Gavin Kirkland: Komatsu goes for repeated stomps to her chest, and it seems like he wants to break her for good! Rain is mouthing off to Komatsu, enough for Jamie to get up and slam her elbow against Komatsu’s back! Big mistake, though! He just shrugs that off and smiles! Jamie might’ve bit off more than she could chew here and perhaps it’s time to consider a different career! Komatsu turns around and he grabs ahold of her neck with one hand before lifting her up!
Deadprez: And Rain has to watch as Komatsu throws Jamie right out of the ring with ease! Rain jumps down and she runs to the aid of her tag team partner, before throwing her back inside the ring! She knows that she has to try something here, but Komatsu takes ahold of Jamie first, before lifting her up and slamming her head against the turnbuckle, causing her to stagger back right into another German Suplex! Komatsu is feeling it right here and Rain has no choice but to run inside the ring and try something against Komatsu!
Referee: HEY! HEY! HEY! THAT’S A WARNING! BACK TO YOUR CORNER!
Eve: And Rain is forced to go back to her corner, as Komatsu continues to brutalize Jamie! Komatsu lifts Jamie up and throws her right against the turnbuckle with a Buckle Bomb! Rain is looking for that tag, and it’s clear that Komatsu is not going to let her get it! Jamie has to try something here, and as Komatsu tries a powerbomb, Jamie manages to reverse it into a frankensteiner! What the hell? Jamie runs towards Rain for the tag, and she’s in!
Deadprez: Is this really going to make that big of a difference, though? It’s Komatsu Ogawa, a 6’4 Japanese tank that takes shots for fun! Rain steps in, and she’s stomping on Ogawa’s ribs! She wants to make sure she keeps him on the ground, as Rain pushes him right out of the ring! She rebounds off the ropes and goes for a SUICIDE DIVE! RAIN JUST TOOK OGAWA OUT and Komatsu is leaning against the commentary table! Rain pushes her whole body into Komatsu’s, making him stumble over with ease! It’s clear what’s she’s aiming for here, and that’s to redeem herself!
Eve: If she can’t rely on her partner, she has to do it herself, and considering how Jamie is looking on the other end? Perhaps she HAS to do it all by herself, no cap. Rain comes in and tosses Komatsu into the ring, and leaps over the top rope for a Frog Splash! She isn’t able to pin Komatsu, though— which disappoints her and leads her to unload heavy shots right into Komatsu’s face! Rain is doing whatever she can to win here, no matter what this may bring! Komatsu pushes her off with ease, but Rain is not backing down! She wants to keep on going, no matter what!
Gavin Kirkland: And Rain continues going with shots to Komatsu’s body, which eventually wears him down! Rain turns around and hits him with a clothesline, but Komatsu ducks under and lifts her up for a Uranage! This is interesting here, as Rain is really starting to see what Komatsu is capable of! That man is a legitimate animal in the field of professional wrestling, even if the stats don’t show it! Komatsu grabs Rain by the throat and slams her down onto the mat, proceeding to tag in Lucas Johnson! Mind you, Lucas is still very much fresh!
Deadprez: Indeed he is, Gavin, as Lucas comes in and he’s targeting everything! He’s going for Rain’s leg, which is one of her best traits and twists it like a pretzel! Lucas is really making her pay, and Rain is gasping for air! She’s feeling it and grunting, but Lucas will not let go! Rain tries to go for the ropes, but this forces Lucas to grab her arm and transition into a Bow and Arrow! Oh, that just hurts! She wanted to free herself but indirectly put herself into a much worse position! Oof. Not good.
Eve: You have to wonder, is Jamie going to be anywhere near useful in this match? It seems like she’s doing nothing, and she’s getting a breather! Rain is looking at her like WTF?, and this might lead to some tension! Jamie rises to the occasion, as she jumps up on the top turnbuckle and jumps down for an elbow drop, causing Lucas to free her! Komatsu runs in and immediately rams Jamie right outside the ring, but Rain throws Komatsu outside as well! What strength is coming from her! Komatsu and Jamie are brawling on the outside, as Jamie tries to land a few shots but Komatsu blocks them!
Gavin Kirkland: And now it’s both Rain and Lucas back in the middle of the ring! Lucas is coming in with repeated kicks to Rain’s legs, but so is Rain! She’s following up and giving Lucas a taste of his own medicine! Rain pushes Lucas as he rolls back, but is immediately me with a front dropkick! What the hell? Rain seems like she wants to get them out of this hole all by herself, but Jamie is keeping Ogawa busy! Ogawa ducks under as Jamie tries an underhook, and he throws her backfirst against the railing! Jamie is thrown back inside, as Komatsu runs around, before hitting her with a big boot!
Deadprez: And Rain is distracted! Lucas comes in and he immediately hits her with a clothesline, but Rain turns around and puts Lucas down with a Knee Lift! She’s starting to get the hang of it here, and it doesn’t seem like Jamie is doing the same here! Lucas recovers, as he sends a right hook into Rain’s jaw! It’s clear that one landed flush, as she’s starting to question herself! Jamie tags herself in and maybe that was not a very good move on her end!
Eve: ???? Why the hell is she doing this? She’s not in the best shape and she’s going to put her team at risk here, but oh well, some people just have to learn the hard way, I guess. Jamie comes in and she tries to send a few shots into Lucas’ face, but it’s clear that her conditioning and well, lack thereof, is showing as these shots have zero power and do not connect at all! Lucas is taking these shots and making them seem like nothing, as he transitions immediately into a devastating RKO! THAT JUST TOOK OUT JAMIE! HE’S GOING FOR THE COVER HERE, THE FIRST OF THE MATCH!

(‘Ready to Die’ by the Notorious B.I.G. hits as Lucas and Komatsu shake hands. They walk out of the ring their separate ways, as Jamie and Rain are being escorted to the back. Rain is struggling to breathe, as medical assists her. Lucas walks off towards the titantron, whereas Komatsu goes through the back as the camera transitions elsewhere.)
(We cut to the back, where Kyra Phillips stood by, waiting for her cue. A nod from the cameraman gives her what she needs, and she starts to speak, obviously just as excited as everyone else that Pain for Pride is only a couple of weeks away.)
Kyra Phillips: Ladies and Gentlemen, if you don’t know me, my name is Kyra Phillips, and where have you been? I hope you have been enjoying the show thus far, and I am sorry to interrupt the action, but my guest at this time is none other than Showdown’s representative in the Number one Contenders Match for the Specialist Championship at Pain for Pride. Lexi, thank you for joining me.
Lexi: The pleasure is all mine Kyra, thank you for having me.
(This is a far more respectful Lexi than Kyra is used to, Lexi known in the past for her tricks, rather than her ability. That had all changed however over the last few months, as Lexi rebuilt her reputation and a name for herself.)
Kyra Phillips: Lexi, you have worked hard this year to have people respect you for the competitor you are, and with many you have achieved that. However, last week we say you cost Jamie Cross her match against Jon Kelton…
(Lexi holds up her hand.)
Lexi: Don’t want to be rude, but if you would allow me to explain?
Kyra Phillips: Of course.
Lexi: I know that many people will say that this is Lexi reverting to ‘type’, and many others will say that they told you so, but this is most certainly not the case. Look at some of the most loved competitors on this roster and they will tell you without guilt that sometimes to make an omelet, you’ve got to break a few eggs. Look at it this way, Jamie wasn’t slow at getting her revenge on Voltage was she?
Kyra Phillips: No, I guess not.
Lexi: And that simply because of what is on the line. She wants to succeed, I want to succeed, and the two of us are willing to do what it takes to achieve it. This is EAW, and things like this happen all the time. It’s how you adapt to them, that deems how successful you are. This is where I have failed in the past because I haven’t seen the situation occurring, and then moved to control it. This time, I like to think that I am controlling the narrative, and not my opponents. Having the right answers is what it is all about, and like I showed Jamie, I have the answers.
Kyra Phillips: And this is all because of the opportunity you have been given?
(Lexi nods her head enthusiastically.)
Lexi: There you go, you get it Kyra. You’ve seen my career and how it has evolved. For the first time in my life, I have been given a chance to do something huge at Pain for Pride, and even better, it doesn’t involve mud.
(She smirks, causing Kyra to chuckle.)
Lexi: I refuse to let this chance go by without a fight, and so if this is the way I have to be to get what I want, then bring it on. I want to win this match, and I want the Specialist Championship, and if I got to play the game to make it happen, then that’s what I am going to do.
Kyra Phillips: Is part of that because you know it won’t be easy.
Lexi: Of course. The ‘old’ Lexi would probably have claimed that Jamie Cross and Usagi Senshi are not even in my league. I’d probably tell anyone who would listen to me that my victory was inevitable or something like that. That was the reason I was never taken seriously, because I didn’t back up my words. But now I know Jamie and Usagi are amazing competitors. I know I am going to have to be at my absolute best, but that doesn’t scare me.
Kyra Phillips: It doesn’t?
Lexi: No, it excites me, because no matter how great they are, at Pain for Pride I am going to be better. Nothing is going to stop me from going out there and representing Showdown, allowing me to kick off Season seventeen with a shot at the Specialist Champion whoever that may be. I didn’t understand how lucky I was to have a contract in Elite Answers Wrestling, and I have consistently taken it for granted. I know I can’t do that anymore, and that it’s time to live up to the family name. I am done being the butt of the locker room, and it’s time for me to show everyone that the joke is on them.
Kyra Phillips: And I hope you can, but I know what everyone will be thinking.
Lexi: I think I know too, but I’ll humor you.
Kyra Phillips: Well, there have been many moments just like this Lexi, why should people believe that this is any different.
(Lexi smiles, she knew that was exactly what Kyra was going to say, yet more evidence of her growth. She places a hand on Kyra’s shoulder, looks at her and then looks directly down the camera lens.)
Lexi: Because when you have hit rock bottom, there is no other way to go but up.
(She smiles again, and then walks off camera, the scene slowly fading back to the ring.)

( Korey slowly strides into the ring, taunting the crowd with a cheeky attitude, but they respond with the same mixed reaction, unaffected by his antics. Suddenly, ‘On The Top’ by Jinjer replaces Korey’s theme music as Delilah Rose makes her entrance. She emerges through the smoke that filled up the stage, revealing herself as the representative of the Dynasty for this match. Delilah smiles confidently and proceeds down the stairs to the ring, with a mindset determined to win. )

( Delilah steps into the ring with a cheeky smile aimed at Korey, who is simply standing there, chilling and not doing much else. ‘Position of Power’ by 50 Cent continues to blast through the arena as Michael Machina confidently walks down to the ring, exuding his signature swagger. He pays little attention to the two individuals already in the ring and the crowd’s reaction towards him. He simply keeps walking, his focus solely on his desire to tear them to pieces together. )

Gavin Kirkland: The match starts rolling and here we go, three brands are coming across each other! Korey targets the elephant in the room first as he runs off, charging at Michael and quickly clotheslining him over the ropes, down to the outside of the ring! Michael falls as Korey follows up… SUICIDE DIVE! Flying through the ropes and taking down Michael with a Suicide Dive! What a move by Korey Gaines! Korey rolls back inside the ring, turning back around and quickly charging at Delilah, but Delilah sidesteps, going behind and connecting with a German Suplex, but both feet land on the ground by Korey!
Eve: Korey pushes Delilah towards the ropes. Delilah runs forward with herself rebounding off back to Korey… STEP-UP JUMPING KNEE BY KOREY!… A REVERSE FRANKENSTEINER TAKING HER DOWN IN ORDER! Delilah is being taken down by Gaines before rolling down to the corner and giving herself a break. Michael finally comes back to the match, charging at Korey, looking to pay him back for what he just did to him at the beginning of this match. But Korey ducks underneath the arm, pushing Michael back to the ropes and looking to catch him with a Frankensteiner!…. BLACK HOLE SLAM COUNTERS! DOWN GOES KOREY GAINES!
Deadprez: Delilah steps out of the corner and walks towards Michael, but Michael was already prepared for her. He quickly hoists her up on his shoulder and sends her back into the corner, continuing to batter her with multiple shoulder tackles while he still has her under his control! Michael goes all out with each shoulder shot, going right at her gut, then stopping and sizing her up in the corner and shifting to the opposite side. Delilah’s back hits the corner with force, slowly walking out and holding her own spine, but Michael…. greets her this time with a Big Boot!
Gavin Kirkland: Delilah fires back at Michael with a Bicycle Kick. Michael comes with a solid tackle, pushing her back to the ropes, but she rebounds off and goes for another one, aiming to wash his face off with her boot. But Michael catches her leg, grabs her arm and goes for a Short Arm Clothesline! Delilah ducks under and goes behind, trying to lift Michael and dropping him with a Dragon Suplex!
Eve: Korey returns to this match with a Back Heel Kick across the face of Delilah Rose! Korey then steps in and hits Michael this time with a Spin Kick, knocking his jaw off his mouth! Korey manages to take both competitors down with kicks and now shifts his target, aiming for Delilah and waiting for her to recover. Delilah pushes herself off the ground with Korey stepping in, seizing the opportunity and connecting with a Superkick to her knee!…. goes for another one instantly, this time aiming for her jaw!… spinning back around and hitting rising Michael with a Roundhouse Kick!
Deadprez: Michael ducks the kick, quickly pushing Korey toward the ropes. Korey rebounds and Michael scoops him up in the air, letting him crash down to the ground with a Back Body Drop! Korey fails to land on both feet superhero-style this time and ends up rolling down to the outside of the ring. Michael isn’t waiting and keeps his offense going! He rolls out to the outside, grabbing Korey and sending him crashing into the barricade!
Gavin Kirkland: Michael is not going to let Korey live up to his potential in winning this match any longer. He picks him up off the ground this time before sending his face crashing into the ring post! Korey’s face takes a hard hit and his body flies around in the air like crazy! That’s some incredible display of strength by Michael for throwing Korey around like that, like a goddamn ragdoll! What has this man been eating to possess such incredible power?!
Eve: Let’s not forget that Delilah Rose is still in this contest, as she rolls down to the outside of the ring. She seizes the opportunity, sneaking up behind Michael and attempting to send his face crashing into the ring post. But Michael catches the post, driving a back elbow into her gut and sending her right into the post instead!
Gavin Kirkland: Michael has been handling both competitors in this match all by himself, and now he grabs Delilah and sends her back into the ring. KOREY!… A FRANKENSTEINER OFF THE STEEL STEPS TAKING DOWN MICHAEL, SENDING HIM CRASHING TO THE GROUND!
Deadprez: This brother Korey is back at it again, and now he’s perched on the apron, patiently waiting for Delilah to rise to her feet. Korey sees the opportunity and takes her down, jumping over the ropes and connecting with a Slingshot Dropkick, sending Delilah biting the dust once again!
Gavin Kirkland: SHE CATCHES… TAKING DOWN AND A HEEL HOOK APPLYING! Delilah has him right where she wants him, and now the heel hook is torturing him! Korey is not going to go anywhere soon! He’s under the control of Delilah Rose! Delilah puts all the pressure into the heel hook, making sure that Korey is going to be tapping out right there in the middle of her ring!
Eve: Korey was expecting himself to hit the dropkick, but things are going downhill! Delilah has become a smarter opponent and now she’s using her great intellect to beat up Korey! Korey is in big trouble there! He might be tapping out soon if he doesn’t get out of there faster!
Deadprez: Korey moves down to the ropes in front of him, crawling down and using his weight to shift his balance, finding his own way to get to the ropes as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Delilah keeps the hold locked up tightly, not letting Korey get away that easily! Korey… MAKES IT TO THE BOTTOM ROPE! HE ESCAPES-
Gavin Kirkland: MICHAEL IS BACK!…. PICKING DELIAH AND PLANTING AT THE CENTRE OF THE RING WITH A MASSIVE POWERSLAM! MICAHEL DROPS INTO A COVER!

Deadprez: Delilah Rose is still in this match, showing incredible resilience after enduring that devastating powerslam that could have broken her momentarily. Michael is a madman in this match, showing no mercy to anybody! Korey starts grabbing his legs and manages to remove himself from the heel hook, catching Michael’s attention in the process. Michael gets back to his feet, stepping in and taking Korey down with a kick to his gut. He follows it up by striking the back of Korey’s head with a double axe handle. Then, Michael seizes Korey and heads toward the corner of the ring.
Deadprez: Michael turns around, looking to connect with a big clothesline, but Korey ducks underneath, slides under him, and comes back with a Superkick driving into the back of Michael’s head!
Gavin Kirkland: Korey runs up to the ropes… FLYING OFF AND A SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY TAKING DOWN MICHAEL! Korey quickly uses this moment to gain an advantage in the match, picking up Michael to both feet….. seizing him in a suplex position, and then sending him up to the third rope, swinging and connecting with a Rope Hung Swinging Neckbreaker!
Eve: Delilah Rose quickly gets back to her feet right after the neckbreaker delivered by Korey. She retaliates by rolling him up, attempting to secure a surprise victory! Delilah is using her cunning strategy to steal the win just like that!

A WHEELBARROW DOUBLE FOOT STOMP BY DELIAH ROSE!
Eve: Korey holds his own gut after taking a stomp from Delilah, while Delilah quickly gets back to both feet, showing she’s not done with Korey yet. She picks him up to both knees, positioning him for her signature move. Delilah sees the perfect opportunity and runs towards the ropes, aiming to set Korey up for her ‘Kiss Goodnight’ Shining Wizard to the back of his head!
Deadprez: Micahe reaches both feet and connects a hard forearm to the back of Delilah’s head when she’s just about to turn for the ropes, sending her down towards the apron and now running down to pick up Korey by his feet, lifting him off the ground and dropping Korey to the canvas instead with a Gorilla Press Slam!
Gavin Kirkland: Delilah quickly goes behind Michael, grabbing him from behind and quickly hitting him with a German Suplex! Michael lands on the back of his neck, but Delilah swiftly scoops him back up to his feet once more!… ‘TASTE OF INK’ INVERTED HEADLOCK BACKBREAKER BY DELILAH ROSE! MICHAEL FAINTS! Delilah picks him off the ground and now throws him into the corner. She runs down and delivers a running Rope-Run Uppercut while Korey is down in the corner, pulling him out of the corner onto her shoulders and looking to execute ‘The Finishing Touches’ Combination by hitting the Death Valley Driver!
Deadprez: Korey manages to slip right behind Delilah and quickly pushes her away. Delilah pulls a stop right before she could hit the ropes and turns around, but Korey runs in, jumping over and dropping Delilah to the ground with a Tilt-a-whirl into an inverted headlock elbow drop! Down goes Delilah by such a crazy move from Korey Gaines there!
Eve: Michael holds his spine and starts coming back from it, but Korey is at it again, picking up Michael and quickly delivering a forearm smash across his face. He steps back around and looks to knock Michael right back down to the ground with the ‘Detonation Kick’ ! A spinning roundhouse kick from Korey!
Gavin Kirkland: Michael catches the legs and quickly hoists Korey up. He’s looking for the ‘.50 Cal’ Sit-Out Powerbomb that could put an end to his opponent right there, but Korey starts pushing Michael’s head, trying to let himself free from the hold. Delilah is already standing, ready for Korey, then she grabs him and sends him flying over her head with a German Suplex, but Korey lands on both feet on the mat again!
Deadprez: Korey manages to stay alive there, using Delilah as a platform to jump over her like in parkour, and meet Michael down there!… ‘OKIE CUTTER’ !!!! Eve: SUPERKICK BY KOREY GAINES TO MICHAEL! Michael falls and drops down to the mat, and now Korey quickly grabs Delilah, lifting her up to her feet. Korey then pops up to the middle rope, taking flight and CONNECTING WITH A 720° CORKSCREW SPRINGBOARD TORNADO DDT ON DELILAH!
Deadprez: Korey isn’t done just yet while dealing with Delilah. He rolls her over, having her facing the arena ceiling while he makes his way up to the top corner! Delilah is still down, and Korey is already on the top turnbuckle, setting things up with himself standing on both feet at the top!…. ‘405 CHIROPACTOR’ DOUBLE ROTATION MOONSAULT ON DELILAH! Gavin Kirkland: Korey is resilient to being put down easily! Korey manages to struggle and applies a sudden hurricanrana to counter the move that Michael was already boasting in. He’s not going anywhere and now keeps Korey under his control, lifting him upon his shoulders once again and going for another attempt at the ’50 Cal’ Sit-Out Powerbomb!

(After the commercial break, the camera cuts to Kennedy Street’s office, where she is sitting behind her desk speaking with Drake Armstrong. Both seem relaxed with the situation, Kennedy having taken back control where it seemed like she was losing it to Ms. Extreme, and if Kennedy is happy, then Drake Armstrong is happy.)
Kennedy Street: To think that she thought she could get one over on me. Not Kennie’s first rodeo, and Kennie is not the one who ends up being ridden.
(Drake smiles, showing his appreciation for all that she had done. Serving her could have been a thankless job, and yet he had enjoyed it immensely. And it had nothing to do with the fact his EAW career seemed to be taking off because of that service.)
Drake Armstrong: Your enemies should know better than to mess with you. You always find the answers.
Kennedy Street: That I do honey, and I look forward to Karl showing Camille precisely where her position is on MY brand.
Drake Armstrong: I’m sure he will.
(Kennedy realizes that she is thinking of only others at the moment, when actually Drake had been more than a help over the past couple of months. What had started as him merely being a plaything to her ego had evolved into something else.)
Kennedy Street: I surround myself with the best honey, and that includes you.
Drake Armstrong: It does?
Kennedy Street: Of course, it does. I’m so proud of what you did last week…
Drake Armstrong: It didn’t seem that way, I mean you kinda pushed me off.
Kennedy Street: I’m sorry you feel that way, but we all make sacrifices honey, and ultimately the job was done. I don’t want you to think that I don’t appreciate everything you have done for me, because I do, just as much as I’ll appreciate Karl when he destroys Ms. Extreme in front of the eyes of the world.
Drake Armstrong: Well then, it is my pleasure to serve you.
(Kennedy nods her head and takes a sip from her water. She had no doubt that when Drake said that he meant it.)
Kennedy Street: Well, your servitude period has now officially ended so you are free to do as you please. You’ve done your time.
Drake Armstrong: Wasn’t actually a punishment was it?
Kennedy Street: No, there are many men who would have loved to have put their hands where you have had the opportunity to. But Kennie has more class than that honey.
Drake Armstrong: That you do.
Kennedy Street: I really appreciate the massages when I have been stressed, and everything else you have done. Your willingness to work with me, and your obedience to the cause will take you far in EAW, and has been more than recognised.

Kennedy Street: But now honey you need to think about your future. You need to concentrate on winning the 24/7 Battle Royal so that you can then win a title next season. I’d love to see that. But as far as I’m concerned, I thank you.

(Drake gets to his feet, and the look on Kennedy’s face says that she is disappointed that this is all coming to an end.)
Drake Armstrong: …but, although my servitude has come to an end, I’m not done being your loyal right hand.
(Kennedy scowls, not sure what Drake is seeing. Drake however walks behind her, and massages her neck as he has so many times in the past, Kennedy closing her eyes.)
Drake Armstrong: It never felt like servitude. I wanted to be here by your side, and if you allow me to, I will continue to do so.
Kennedy Street: Yes…YES. That is exactly what I want.
(Under the desk her feet curl, enjoying every single moment, forgetting that millions of people are watching.)
Kennedy Street: You are SO good with those hands honey. I will make sure you continue putting them to good use. Kennie gets so stressed sometimes.
Drake Armstrong: I know, but I’ll always be here to help you relax. I promise.
(Drake stops, and sits on the edge of the desk, Kennedy not even admonishing him for the act. She knew that in the coming months, she would need her most trusted soldiers, and Drake had more than earned his place by his side.)
Kennedy Street: And Pain for Pride, we can watch as Impact humbles Ms. Extreme at my request, and finally rids me of that ache in my side.

Deadprez: Here comes one of the newest inductees to the EAW Hall of Fame! Already locked in for Pain for Pride with a shot at the National Elite Championship, Jack seems to have been granted a shot at sending a message to the Champion!
Gavin Kirkland: I hate this! Ashlynn didn’t need to be what seems like a sacrificial lamb against a more experienced and Championship-winning opponent! Jack doesn’t need this match! Ashlynn needs it even less!
( ‘Without You’ by Halsey ft. Juice Wrld plays after Jack’s music stops, the fan still boos but less as Quinn makes her way to the ring, with Veena Adams siding with her. )
Gina Romano: AAAAAND HIS OPPONENT!! Accompanied to the ring by the National Elite Champion, Veena Adams! From Los Angeles, California! Weighing in at 115 pounds! ASHLYNN QUIIIIIIIIIINN!!!!!!
Deadprez: Is that a face mask that Veena’s wearing?
Gavin Kirkland: Are you surprised?? She is doing what she must in order to protect her broken nose! That perfect nose of hers she has to protect herself! Ashlynn will be doing her best against Jack tonight I am sure! You Got This GIRL!!!!

Deadprez: AND HERE WE GO! THIS FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY!! Jack is looking on with a look of confidence, a predatory glance as he looks at Ashlynn while she looks like she is ready to try her best. This will be an interesting match-up between an up-and-coming young star versus soon to be Hall of Famer!
Gavin Kirkland: Ashlynn looks like she wants to be anywhere but inside that right right now while outside of the ring we see Veena hugging her Championship in front of her.
Eve: Looks like she is holding it like a protective shield somehow, another way to try and protect her nose along with that face mask of hers.
Deadprez: Jack stands in the middle of the ring, obviously waiting on his opponent who ends up moving up to him and getting up in his face! Showing bravado, wanting to step up for her mentor the National Elite Champion AND SHE SHOVES A HAND AT JACK’S FACE WHICH HE TURNS INTO AN ARMBAR!! JACK IS TRYING TO END THIS EARLY but Ashlynn slips out of the move with haste and almost throws herself outside of the ring!
Gavin Kirkland: Smart move!! Jack looked like he was about to break her arm right there! Who wouldn’t want to go to safety? She is trying to make her way to Veena BUT JACK GRABS HER BY THE HAIR FROM INSIDE THE RING! He’s trying to pull her back in BUT VEENA THROWS HER SAY INTO THE MATTER AND THROWS A STIFF RIGHT HAND AT RIPLEY WHO loses HIS GRIP!
Eve: Luckily for her, somehow the official didn’t see it as he stood behind Jack who shakes his face looking angry. Ashlynn slips inside the ring and the two now circle each other. A clinch ensues, both strains trying to gain the upper hand but Jack easily shoves Quinn away! She ends up in a corner with Jack taunting her with a tap of his lead wrist, he doesn’t have all day apparently and he makes his way towards her but she slips under his arms.
Deadprez: Against the ropes goes Quinn who ducks under Ripley’s attempt at a clothesline! Into the ropes, she goes and bounces towards Jack WHO GOES FOR YOU’LL FLOAT TOO!!!! HIS PATENTED SUPERKICK BUT QUINN BASEBALL SLIDES RIGHT UNDER IT!!! She shifts and throws a leg sweep to Jack who stood on one leg. Down he goes! Ashlynn with an axe kick but Jack rolls away and BOTH gets back up to a vertical base with a kip-up and a fighting stance!
Gavin Kirkland: Atta girl Ashlynn!! Show him you are not a sidekick! This is an interesting start of the match and Jack ALMOST had a shot at ending it quickly but Quinn showed us her agility and catlike reflexes! That was a highlight right there!! Now she is grinning, gaining some confidence as the two of them lock horns in the center of the ring.
Eve: Ashlynn tries her best to gain the upper hand over the bigger opponent, Ripley being 90 pounds heavier and he reverses her attempt at a headlock with a wristlock SHE THROWS AN ELBOW TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD freeing herself! She rushes to the ropes, bouncing with momentum ONLY TO BE TAKEN DOWN WITH A STIFF SHOULDER BLOCK!
Deadprez: Ripley doesn’t appear to want to mess around now as he rolls his shoulders and picks Ashlynn up, moving for a snap suplex WHICH SHE REVERSES WITH ONE OF HER OWN!! SHE HAD LANDED ON HER FEET AND THEN CAUGHT JACK WITH A SNAP SUPLEX RIGHT BACK AT HIM!
Gavin Kirkland: YAS girl! Veena looks happy and Jack was shocked by this but he quickly gets back to his feet. He charges at her and she hopscotch over him! Into the ropes goes Jack WHO GETS CLIPPED BY A DROPKICK!! DOWN HE GOES!!
Eve: Veena with strong words of encouragement from the outside of the ring which brings a massive smile to her face. She drops on Jack and throws punches at him before grabbing his head and bashing the back of it against the ring floor! The official is yanking her away from him though which has her go mad and yell at the official!
Deadprez: AND JACK CAPITALIZES WITH A TORNADO DDT!!!
Gavin Kirkland: NOOO!!!!!!!
Eve: Quinn should’ve kept her focus rather than letting her emotions flare!
Deadprez: Jack is in command of the match now following some back and forth with Ashlynn, holding her in a move where he has some joint manipulation he seems to be looking to put some hurt on Ashlynn right now. The official looks on while Quinn is groaning in pain before she gets forced to the ground with a Japanese arm drag!
Gavin Kirkland: She gets forced back to her feet only to be taken down once again with a harsh Judo throw! AND JACK FOLLOWS WITH AN ARMBAR!!! QUINN IS FLAILING LIKE A DEMON IN HOLY WATER AND luckily for her manages to grab onto the ropes nearby causing referee stoppage!
Eve: Feels like Ashlynn is in survival mode at the moment and who can blame her when facing someone like Jack Ripley? She suffers through a series of kicks, stiff ones, to the ribs by Jack forcing her into a corner AND HE BEGINS TO STOMP A MUDHOLE IN HER UNTIL VEENA REACHES IN AND DRAGS HER PROTÉGÉ OUTSIDE OF THE RING! The crowd boos the move and Jack smirks looking down on his opponent both tonight and the Champion at Pain for Pride.
Deadprez: Both Jack and Veena are exchanging words I’d rather not say on Disney programming as Jack arrogantly does some push-ups showing how confident he is! Ashlynn tries to slip in the ring quickly to get a strike of opportunity BUT JACK GRABS HER INTO A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX!!! DOWN GOES QUINN!!
Gavin Kirkland: I feel all sorts of bad for Ashlynn right now, Jack is now in a half-mounted position dropping hard strikes with punches and elbows down on Quinn who tries to block however she can! Jack goes to his feet, Quinn is grabbed by the neck by Jack and gets Irish whipped into a corner FOLLOWED WITH A FOREARM SMASH!!
Eve: AND THEN SOME ELBOWS to the side of the face and Jack isn’t going easy on Quinn at all! Quinn to the ropes, Jack is near the opposite ones AND GETS TRIPPED BY VEENA!! He turns around staring at her AND GETS DROPKICKED OUTSIDE OF THE RING BY QUINN!! The crowd ain’t happy as Ashlynn begins to argue with the official AND VEENA TAKES ADVANTAGE BY THROWING JACK INTO A DDT SQUARE ON THE ARENA FLOOR!!
Deadprez: Only the protective mat separates Jack’s head from the concrete of State Farm Arena, here in Atlanta Georgia folks and Veena quickly throws Ripley inside the ring screaming at Quinn to pin the man! And she tries!
Gavin Kirkland: BUT JACK KICKS OUT BEFORE THE OFFICIAL BEGINS COUNTING!!! Both Quinn and Adams look shocked they have the same face and Jack is looking mad! Quinn tries to put in some offense BUT SHE GETS BACK BODY DROPPED FOR HER EFFORTS!! She goes to her knees AND BEGINS TO RECIEVE SEVERAL HARD KICKS FROM THE STRAIGHT SHOOTER!!
Crowd: YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
Gavin Kirkland: This is so strange to hear the fans cheer on someone they hate! Stupid fans!
Eve: They do enjoy what they see, so who cares who’s doing it, no? Jack moves Ashlynn to her feet now before delivering a crisp snap suplex punishing Quinn’s back! Jack is not pulling any punches tonight as he sets his opponent up for the next maneuver A DOUBLE KNEE BACKBREAKER!! He then goes for a cover!!

DOWN GOES ASHLYNN!!
Gavin Kirkland: She’ll be needing a protective mask as well if things keep going the way they do! Poor girl! What is that bully doing now? Going topside oh no! He’s going for his Moonsault off the top rope!! He flies! BUT LANDS AGAINST QUINN’S KNEES!!!! DOWN HE GOES AND NOW SHE GOES TOPSIDE HERSELF!!!
Eve: SHE GOES FOR A MOONSAULT OF HER OWN!! QUINN WANTS TO SEND A MESSAGE TO RIPLEY!! AND IT CONNECTS!! COVER BY HER!!

Deadprez: The Straight Shooter drops to a knee and Quinn quickly runs to the ropes again, bouncing with momentum SHE STRIKES HIM WITH A STEP-UP ENZIGURI!! COVER!!

Mikaela Street: Hello everyone! EAW Universe! I am so happy to bring you today, none other than one of the great new talents that has come to the EAW and the Showdown brand this year, Hans Grayson!
(The camera pans to Hans Grayson who smiles and nods.)
Mikaela Street: Thank you so much for joining me here today, how are you!?
Hans Grayson: I’m doing great Mikaela, thanks for having me!
Mikaela Street: First question, how would you assess your time in EAW so far?
Hans Grayson: Personally, I think it’s gone alright, I think I should be somewhat proud of my progression here in Elite Answers Wrestling. With that said, it could be better, of course it can be better. With my fair share of wins I’ve had here, I’ve also had my fair share of losses, It’s a mixed bag for sure. Some of those losses are still in my head haunting me, telling myself that I should have been better, that I should have considered this scenario or that scenario and what not. Regardless of that, I always keep improving, working on myself to be the best version of me every single day. I want to be the best this company has one day, it’s a process for sure and I’m going to get to that point with the best of my abilities. I have shown I can hang with the top elitists of this brand, I have shown I can hang with Hall of Famers. I need to reach that next level, and I’ll keep on working until I’m there.

Mikaela Street: What has been your favorite match? Even an opponent?
Hans Grayson: I’ve been grateful for all the opportunities I have had here in EAW and here on Showdown. I have faced elite level wrestlers, some of the best the world has to offer and I kept up with every single one of them at an elite level. I have had the privilege of competing for the National Elite Championship on a Free-Per-View, competed in my first Grand Rampage, amazing opportunities to show off what I can do but If I were to choose my favorite match, the one that has stuck to me the most it has to be my match against Karl Impact all the way back in January, in his hometown of Seattle. It was my first main event and I had only just been in EAW for a short amount of time but yet I was put in a spotlight that anybody else would have crumbled. I almost had the win but came up just short but it was a great experience to have wrestled somebody many may consider one of the greats of this company. I know one day, Impact and I are going to share that ring again and I’ll make sure the result is the other way around.
(Smiling, Mikaela proceeds to the next question.)
Mikaela Street: We all saw what Caroline did last week, this all stems after your challenge for the New Breed Championship was accepted, your thoughts?
Hans Grayson: I think Caroline is trying to get inside my head, trying to make me lose focus, ultimately trying to derail any type of momentum of mine heading towards Pain for Pride. I had that Burning Shot Lariat and ready to fire on Hollow Arrow and she swooped right in and nailed me with that title. My thoughts on all of that is if this is Caroline’s way of mind games, costing me matches that I’m in, it just further proves my point that she’s even more afraid that title reign of hers has an expiration date and it is going to end at Pain for Pride.
Mikaela Street: This is your first Pain for Pride, what can we see from Hans Grayson?
Hans Grayson: Expect to see “Fireheart” go 100% at Pain for Pride. This is my first Pain for Pride like you said Mikaela, I want to make my mark here in EAW at the biggest event of the entire year. Everybody wants to have their Pain for Pride moment, their chance of being immortalized forever into the history books. I have those same intentions, I have that same desire to make a moment at this event so expect Hans Grayson to lay it out all on the line in front of that jam-packed crowd in Nashville. I am going to pull out everything that’s in my arsenal for what must be my biggest match here in EAW so far, a title that’s been on my radar the moment I signed my contract.
(Impressed, Mikaela breaks a smile, leading into her last question.)
Mikaela Street: Last question…. What do you want to say to Caroline heading into the biggest event of the year?
Hans Grayson: Caroline, I hope you’re listening to this, I really hope you are. You can try every tactic in the book to mess me up, you can try and break my spirit by saying that you were expecting more from her Pain for Pride opponent, and that I didn’t deserve a title shot. You can try and cost me my matches, you can do everything you can but It won’t work. I am coming to take that title away from your hands, take you off that pedestal that you put yourself, and become the new EAW New Breed Champion. “Fireheart” is going to burn your whole world apart.

Revealing Off-Brand Amphetamines, Solomon Stane and Kirk Redwood, sitting in the crowd area. They watch the show with bored expressions, seemingly unaffected by the atmosphere of the arena. Despite the crowd booing and hating on them, they show little concern or interest. )

( After that, the scene fades to the opposite side from where OBA is seated, showing the Queen Bees, Mei Sasaki and Sierra Bradford, sitting there and watching with joy and happiness. They feel good to be here on Saturday Night Showdown, even as the crowd’s reaction is mixed, with some booing and some cheering for them. The boos are slightly louder, but they remain unfazed and continue to enjoy the show. )

Xander walks behind him, as always, with a calm demeanor. Both men make their way down to the ring as Ryan tags with Xander, then enters the ring while Xander stands there, watching the match and trying not to engage with the two teams surrounding them. )

( Ryan leans against the corner, waiting, as ‘Lapdance’ by N.E.R.D replaces his theme music. Holly Arrow makes her entrance, with the EAW Tag Team Championship title around her waist, and Harper Lee follows closely behind with the tag team title on her shoulder. Both women walk down together, and when they reach the front of the ring, Harper tags Holly on the shoulder, wishing her good luck. Holly enters the ring, unstraps the title from her waist, and raises it high in the air.)

These two managed to defeat Soul Food Sunday at Grand Rampage earlier this year and claim those tag team titles, solidifying themselves as one of the best teams in EAW! Tonight, it’s Holly on a roll again, facing off against Ryan Joseph Wilson! Will Ryan take another loss and allow POTARA to continue their sweeping streak, or will this be the night where Ryan can prove people wrong? Let’s find out!

Gavin Kirkland: The most beautiful woman in the Showdown Roster takes on the biggest babyface of Saturday Night Showdown, and this is about to be an exciting match, even if I was just kidding about Ryan’s part! Holly and Ryan step out of their corners, their eyes locked on each other, never breaking their gaze. Ryan looks incredibly focused, just like one-half of the EAW Unified Tag Team champions, Holly Arrow herself. Ryan starts stepping forward, and now he joins Holly in a collar and elbow tie-up, but Holly quickly maneuvers behind him and swiftly puts Ryan into a waistlock, keeping him under pressure!
Eve: Holly quickly lifts Ryan off the ground and takes him down, transitioning and going for a headlock, still keeping Ryan under pressure. Ryan grabs Holly’s arm, trying to break free, but Holly isn’t making it easy for him, making it more difficult and now Ryan is stuck.
Deadprez: Ryan starts returning to his feet and pushes Holly back towards the ropes, releasing her as she runs off to the opposite side of the ring, bouncing off and going for a running forearm to take down Ryan! Ryan sidesteps and quickly moves out of harm’s way, but Holly turns back around and pushes Ryan down to the corner. Holly follows Ryan to where she just pushed him and swiftly hits him with a corner forearm smash instead! She pulls him out of the corner, quickly snatches him, lifts him off the ground, and plants Ryan with a Half and Half Suplex!
Gavin Kirkland: Ryan is being relentlessly grounded by Holly’s strength, and now he’s rolling down to the outside, trying to catch a little break before getting back inside. Holly points at him, trying to call him back, and eventually, Ryan rolls back in. Holly charges in and quickly keeps him prone on the ground with a couple of mudhole stomps, not giving him a chance to recover just yet.
Eve: Ryan rolls away and retreats to the corner as Holly continues to brush him off, raining down more and more stomps. Ryan reaches a dead end, finding himself stuck in the corner while Holly relentlessly beats the hell out of him! Holly then pauses the beatdown, grabbing Ryan and sending him to the opposite corner. She tracks him down and leaps for a corner hip attack aimed at Ryan’s face, but Ryan manages to move out of the way!
Eve: Holly ends up seated on the middle turnbuckle while Ryan springs into action, leaping off the ground and smashing Holly’s face with a Codebreaker!
Deadprez: I told you, that boy isn’t going to play around with Holly tonight! Ryan starts picking Holly back to her feet before sending her to the ropes. Holly bounces off, but Ryan drops her with a running clothesline! Holly rolls back to her feet, and Ryan connects with another one! Holly gets back to her feet once more, but Ryan drives a kick to her gut, hooking her and lifting her off the ground…. planting her at the center of the squared circle with a Brainbuster!
Eve: Ryan manages to take Holly down to the ground and quickly picks up the pieces, seizing the opportunity from behind and using his right arm to wrap around Holly’s neck, keeping her under pressure with a headlock! We’re going back to basics once again because in the beginning, Holly was putting Ryan down with a few basic moves, but now it’s Ryan’s time to shine as he fires back with his own.
Gavin Kirkland: Ryan comes back to his feet while keeping Holly locked up in the hold, standing both of them together before going under her armpit, lifting her off the ground and looking to plant her back on the back of her head with a Belly to Back Suplex! Holly struggles and squirms, driving her elbows into the eyes of Ryan Joseph Wilson, causing him to release her and send him through the ropes down to the outside, but Ryan manages to crash onto the apron, apparently!
Deadprez: Holly sees an opportunity as she runs off, trying to send Ryan crashing down off the apron to the ground, but Ryan pulls the ropes, causing Holly to miss her target. In that split second, Ryan catches her with an Enzuigiri from the apron, sending Holly staggering back down to the mat. Ryan then pulls the ropes, flies off, and goes for a Phenomenal Forearm! A flying forearm from the air takes down Holly Arrow!
Eve: Holly quickly evades as Ryan’s face meets the ground. She swiftly jumps back into the match, immediately seizing Ryan’s arm, stepping over him, and turning him into a Strangle Hold Gamma submission hold! It’s quite an interesting move by Holly, and she’s currently torturing Ryan’s arm with this maneuver! The submission maneuver is putting immense pressure on his arm, and Ryan has no choice but to cry out loud in pain and agony!
Gavin Kirkland: Holly continues to twist Ryan’s arm, inflicting more pain and pressure on him as he desperately tries to find a way out. He reaches out with his free hand, aiming to make it to the middle rope and break free. Ryan is having a difficult time dealing with Holly at the moment, but with Xander’s eyes of faith watching over him from a distance, he is determined to ensure that he won’t embarrass himself!
Deadprez: Ryan puts in a tremendous effort, struggling to make his way to the ropes. The crowd is watching with anticipation and excitement, even though Queen Bees and OBA may not actually exist for this occasion! The audience is fully behind these two competitors! Holly is determined to make Ryan submit and be done with it, but Ryan fights with everything he’s got…
Deadprez: …And oh! He manages to make it! Ryan escapes the hold, with his hand thrown up on the middle rope, breaking free from Holly’s clutches!
Eve: Holly appears to be frustrated by her failed attempt to take down Ryan, but she decides to let him go for now. She starts walking around, thinking of a new plan to come up with, while Ryan takes a moment to recover from the pressure he just endured, still holding onto his arm. Ryan manages to scramble his way back up just as Holly approaches him, but she quickly grabs him and lifts him off the ground. Holly sets up Ryan once again, this time going for an Exploder Suplex to finally put him down!
Gavin Kirkland: Ryan delivers a back elbow to the side of Holly’s head, repeating the move to keep her under pressure and prevent her from applying the Exploder Suplex. He continues the assault, like a looped song on repeat, causing Holly to drop down to both knees. Ryan now grabs Holly’s head and relentlessly drives his right knee into her face, over and over again! Ryan goes absolutely ballistic with these knee strikes as Holly starts to fade under the relentless onslaught!
Deadprez: Ryan decides to switch tactics and lifts Holly up, tossing her towards the ropes with the intention of executing a back body drop. However, Holly quickly jumps over him, turning the tables on Ryan with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb! This sudden counter puts a stop to Ryan’s momentum, and Holly seizes the opportunity to go for a pinfall attempt! Holly might be able to secure a quick victory over Ryan Joseph Wilson!

I’ll be there, seated and watching, witnessing yet another pinnacle of all pinnacles, the peak of all peaks of the cinematic experience. I’ll be there, no matter if my boss threatens to fire me. I’ll still be there, sitting and enjoying the event with a bag of sweet popcorn in my hand.

Deadprez: Unreal.
Gavin Kirkland: Hey, what’s the matter? Let’s focus on the match, guys! Don’t let distractions get to you, jeez. We have a great match to watch! Now, back to the action. Holly is still bringing her A-game as she picks Ryan up to his feet, tossing him into the corner and closing in on him, looking to deliver a lariat. But Ryan counters, catching Holly off guard with a knee strike and following it up with a back elbow smash to her face!
Deadprez: Holly is momentarily stunned, stepping back, while Ryan quickly climbs to the top corner! What?! Where is he getting all this energy from?! And what does he have in store?!
Gavin Kirkland: WHISPER IN THE WIND! Ryan leaps off the top corner and connects with a breathtaking move, hitting Holly right in the face with his legs! Both competitors drop to the mat, but Ryan, the resilient attacker, quickly gets back on his feet after delivering the Whisper in the Wind. He sees an opportunity and knows he’s not done yet. Ryan now positions himself in the corner, preparing for what could be the final blow against Holly Arrow! Please don’t, I wasn’t born for this!
Deadprez: Holly shows resilience as she starts to recover from the impact of the Whisper in the Wind. Ryan charges at her, preparing for his signature move, the ‘Superman Punch 2.0,’ with his knee lifted high. However, Holly quickly reacts, catching Ryan in mid-air during his display of speed and agility. She turns the tables, suspending him, before quickly driving him down to the mat with a Swinging Neckbreaker! What a counter by Holly Arrow!
Eve: Ryan is dropped to the ground by the quick and impactful Swinging Neckbreaker from Holly. She rolls away from Ryan, making her way to the corner, ready to unleash another devastating move. Meanwhile, Ryan holds the back of his neck, feeling the effects of the previous attack. But he shows resilience and slowly rises to his feet, determined to fight back. Holly has positioned Ryan exactly where she wants him. She takes off, building momentum, and prepares to deliver her signature move, the King Kong Gun Axe Bomber that could turn Ryan inside out and send him on a wild ride through the shockwaves of impact!
Gavin Kirkland: Ryan proves his intelligence by avoiding taking such a devastating blow to his heart, quickly seizing Holly’s arm and swinging himself around, connecting with an Enzuigiri kick to the side of her head! Ryan wastes no time and rolls back to his feet, sprinting towards her and taking her down with a Dropkick! The impact sends Holly tumbling to the outside of the ring, clutching her chest and the side of her head as she tries to recover from the dropkick!
Eve: Ryan feels the momentum shifting in his favor, and his adrenaline is pumping through his veins. His sporting spirit kicks into high gear as he seizes this opportunity. Ryan takes off, ready to capitalize on his advantage!… SUICIDE DIVE! SENDING HOLLY CRASH AND BURN DOWN TO THE BARRICADE!
Deadprez: Ryan is unstoppable at this moment, showing incredible agility and determination. He quickly picks himself up to his feet and grabs Holly, rolling her back into the ring after the suicide dive. Ryan then positions himself on the apron, making his way up to the top corner. The crowd is buzzing with anticipation as Ryan has Holly right where he wants her! Ryan takes flight off the top corner!…. FROG SPLASH ON HOLLY! HE DOES IT! RYAN DROPS INTO A COVER ON HER!

Holly is the strongest woman in your brand, and if you think you can get away like that, too bad, buddy. It’s not on her watch, so try harder and actually manage to beat someone credible here for once rather than taking a shortcut and attempting to win in the worst way possible!
Deadprez: Did someone hurt you or?
Eve: Well, it’s way more obvious than that.
Deadprez: Oh.. oh nevermind.
Eve: Ryan’s frog splash isn’t doing anything but giving him another failed attempt at winning this match. But Ryan is going to try harder here, and it becomes more evident after the frog splash failed to put down Holly! Ryan now starts grabbing Holly, who is just about to take some time to recover from the move. But Ryan isn’t giving her any prep time to do so. He has her standing on both feet and now seizes her, looking to drop her with his classic ‘La Bombe Bleu’ Blue Thunder Bomb that could increase his chances of winning this match!
Gavin Kirkland: Holly isn’t going to let that happen just yet, and you better know that. Ryan’s stupid hair is really making me mad for some reason right now, and not just because he hurt my girl, but because he’s delusional to think that he could level up his chances and beat Holly! Now Holly is fighting back! Yeah, let’s go! Show this supposed fraud of a Canadian what POTARA is all about! Holly starts throwing more and more punches at Ryan while he tries to lift her up! Don’t let him do it! Fight back!
Deadprez: Ryan starts slowing down and begins dropping Holly to the ground as Holly aligns both feet in front of Ryan. She quickly seizes Ryan and drops him!…. ‘SECTUMSEMPRA’ BURNING HAMMER! RYAN IS DOWN! HOLLY HOOKS THE LEG FOR ANOTHER PINFALL ATTEMPT!

Eve: That’s quite a kick out from Ryan that leaves Holly becoming even more frustrated there. Holly is just about to finish this match off on her own, but the guess is wrong. She still has to put more effort into beating Ryan, coming to this match with all the challengers of POTARA surrounding around the ring, watching this match.
Gavin Kirkland: We all know that Holly isn’t worrying about that at all, somehow. Holly focuses on the matter at hand and what’s important here in this match, and that’s beating the hell out of Ryan Joseph Wilson and gaining their #POTARASweep point on the scoreboard! Now Holly picks up Ryan’s lifeless body off the ground and lifts him onto her shoulder, setting him up for the ‘Romance Dawn’ Tombstone Piledriver that could put an end to the match here!
Deadprez: Ryan is here to stay! Ryan struggles and refuses to let Holly finish him off so easily. Holly tries to force Ryan to quit and resists by holding him tight, but nothing seems to be working, not letting Ryan off the hook. Ryan falls to his knees as Holly charges in, but Ryan sidesteps, quickly seizing Holly and hitting her from behind with a Northern Lariat!
Eve: Holly is being attacked from the back of her head, causing her to drop to both knees and hold her head. Ryan persists from behind, picking Holly back up to her feet and hoisting her up!… ‘LA BOMBE BLEU’ !!!!!!! BLUE THUNDER BOMB CONNECTS BUT BOTH COMPETITORS FAINT! THEY ALL DOWN!
( On the outside, Xander Payne turns around upon hearing Sierra and Mei engaging in a little gossip about him being a terrible Hall of Famer or something. Xander steps forward and confronts them, crossing his arms. Sierra is about to stand up and approach him herself, but Mei stops her and approaches Xander herself instead. )
Mei Sasaki: (Off-Mic) The hell are you looking at, creep?
( SLAP! )
Mei Sasaki: (Off-Mic) ANSWER THE DAMN QUESTION-
Gavin Kirkland: AND XANDER ISN’T TAKING THAT LIGHTLY! All hell is breaking loose right here, right now! Xander retaliates by grabbing Mei over the barricade and starts fighting with her, while Sierra jumps over and joins in, jumping on Xander! The Queen’s Bees are two-on-one against Xander right now… here comes OBA! They are joining the fight like another Smash character coming into the game!
Eve: They are a fight going on the outside right now while Harper Lee!….. oh well.
( Harper stands there, observing the chaos while holding the EAW Tag Team title on her shoulder. A smile forms on her face as she begins to laugh, somewhat embarrassed by the sight of these people fighting like children in the ringside area. )
Harper Lee: (Off-Mic) Yawn. So boring-
Gavin Kirkland: WOAH! A BIG BOOT FROM STANE DROPS ONE-HALF OF THE EAW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS TO THE GROUND! The fight continues with the two teams going at each other! Holly’s attention is drawn to the fight, seeing her partner in trouble, and she tries to go check on her after fully recovering from ‘La Bombe Bleu’ she took earlier!….
Eve: HELLUVA KICK! Ryan knocks Holly out cold when she’s trying to head to the outside with a forceful boot shove right across her face! Holly faints as Ryan quickly pulls her back down to the middle of the ring!…. ‘CHEMIN DE CROIX’ CRUCIFIX POWERBOMB! HOLLY’S DOWN AND RYAN GOES FOR A COVER! THE FIGHT IS STILL GOING ON THE OUTSIDE BUT THE MATCH CONTINUES! THE REFEREE STARTS COUNTING!

Gavin Kirkland: OH! Not even giving time for Gina to finish the line, Kirk just slides into the ring and clobbers Ryan from behind with a hard right hand, and now he starts jumping on him! Solomon Stand goes into the ring, and now OBA starts jumping on Ryan too! The Queen’s Bees throw Xander into the ring with them as they go in! Sierra and Mei team up, and now they start beating up Xander together! Nobody’s safe!
Eve: HARPER LEE IS BACK!… ‘DRAGON FIST’ RIGHT HOOK TO KIRK REDWOOD!…. ANOTHER ONE TO SOLOMON STANE! Sierra attempts to hit the ‘Electric Feel’ Rolling Koppu Kick, but Harper Lee catches her, swiftly flipping her into a kneeling position!…. ‘THE RUMBLING’ SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB PLANTS!

( Everybody is down. OBA’s Kirk Redwood and Solomon Stane, the Queen Bees’ Sierra Bradford and Mei Sasaki, they’re all done, and there’s no difference to tell with the EAW Unified Tag Team Champions, like POTARA, who have just been taken down by Dominion. ‘The Only Thing They Fear Is You’ by Mick Gordon begins playing throughout the arena, with Ryan Joseph Wilson and Xander Payne standing tall. They both start picking up those EAW Unified Tag Team titles from the ground before lifting them high in the air. The final shot shows everybody lying down on the ground while Xander and Ryan stand tall with the titles in their hands, and then the scene fades into a commercial break. )
( A commercial break is shown for Shin Kamen Rider, still in theaters, featuring DOMINION’s Ryan Wilson and Xander Payne talking about it. They discuss how it’s not a bad movie, but they urge everyone to go watch it regardless. )
(As Showdown fades back from the commercial break, “Partition” by Beyonce starts to play throughout the arena as a mix reaction erupts in Atlanta. Kassidy Heart slowly walks out in her street clothes, jeans, heels and a red blouse, the determination on her face can be seen a mile away. There are no smiles, not even the arrogance that exudes from the Hall of Fame Elitist and Grand Rampage winner. The decorated Kassidy Heart slowly walks to the ring.)
Deadprez: We had heard that Kassidy was here today. She was bailed out by Methuselah last week after Kassidy completely lost it against the three Psychiatrists that were in the ring with her, Dr. Angela Crawford, Dr. Heinrich Strasburg, and Dr. Kyle Sabol. They were making the prognosis and Kassidy didn’t like the way things had gone. She attacked them and that is when security and even the police were involved.
Eve: This stemmed from the attack a few weeks ago on Voltage against Dr. Bethany Blue where Kassidy mauled and almost annihilated her to the point that she has been out of action since, and we know after the footage we watched from the brutal attack where Bethany confronted Captain Charisma and demanded that Kassidy get a psychiatric evaluation, or she would not follow through with match and outright refused.
Gavin Kirkland: And can you blame her after what happened. While Bethany may have been the one to initially attack Kassidy, that led to one of the most horrific scenes we have ever seen and after last week, I think we can all agree that she has a point, Kassidy is a little cray-cray.
(Kassidy gets in the ring, she grabs a mic and stands there for a second as she soaks in the reaction of the crowd. After a few moments her music dies down and she looks right into the camera with nothing but pure intent.)
Kassidy Heart: I’m pretty sure that nobody expected me here tonight after what happened last week in my Psychiatric Evaluation that was nothing more than a farce. I’m not going to stand here and make any excuses, everyone saw what happened, I didn’t exactly fit their mold of a sane person, but let’s be honest here, what happened last week was nothing more than a setup by Dr. Bethany Blue. Who started this? All I did was claim my stake at the Universal Women’s Championship and yes, I chose to announce it in her hometown, in front of her own people. That’s just the way I like to do things, no fucks to give because this is my world. But when the Private Investigator came out and told me the truth behind the attack that put me on the shelf for a whole month and cost me a match against lo’ and behold, her husband of all people, Adam Lucas? Well… I took issue with that. Then Bethany decided to attack me yet again and lay me out in front of her family and friends, have her moment…. And well…. I took issue with that too.
(Kassidy pauses for a second as the mixed reaction grows louder and louder.)
Kassidy Heart: I really do not talk about my private business, but Methuselah didn’t want me to go on Voltage and compromise the Universal Women’s Championship match. The more I thought about it though, the more it angered me. Here is this bitch trying to end MY career because of something that happened in 2020 and I’m just supposed to let that slide? I’m expected to sit back on Showdown and not in any way retaliate because this bitch decided to take the law into her own hands and try to end MY career? I wasn’t about to do that, let alone her prying at me with my CTE scans and abortion, yes I had one, it was common knowledge but in this climate of the world today, you want to expose me because of it just to get a rise out of me and the fans knowing that I wouldn’t do anything about it? That Bethany was your first mistake.
(She turns to the camera.)
Kassidy Heart: So, I took it upon myself to disregard any limitations that were put on me and decided to show up at Voltage, I even let her beat Ronan Malosi to her hearts content and did NOT attack her from behind and instead charged right in and basically bludgeon her to my heart’s content, throwing her thru pane after pane of glass, even biting her neck which I must admit, she takes very good care of her skin and finally drop the Glass Wallz stipulation right on her while she lied unconscious in a heap full of blood and shattered glass. Did she not deserve this? Damn right she did!
(This gets the crowd to cheer, though there are plenty of boos by those that do not like Heart. She doesn’t care though, smirking for a second but that is quickly wiped off.)
Kassidy Heart: Then? I saw what she had to say, all covered in her own blood, barely able to stay conscious, asking Captain Charisma for this Psychological Evaluation and both her and the board fell for it. I know the Captain is not a huge fan of mine after the things I have done and frankly speaking, I don’t give a shit. Yet everyone on the board agreed to go through this farce and I obliged and went through it, didn’t even hesitate once and yet here I was sitting there listening to these crooked psychiatrists with an already predetermined prognosis of my “mental Health”, especially Dr. Kyle Sabol. I sat there and listened to them tear me down like I was not fit to compete in this sport that has seen hundreds of Elitists do worse than me and no one blinks an eye. Then, when they were deciding my fate, I was done listening to this peanut gallery and was arrested for it. But I am here now, and I have talked to the EAW, so instead of coming out guns blazing and tearing Bethany’s head off? I’m going to give her a chance. Bethany, I will give you one opportunity to rescind all of this and go on with the match at Pain For Pride. I’m not the type of woman that gives very many chances. So, I am asking you nicely, one time, drop this now and let’s have our match at Pain For Pride, then you can finally get the opportunity to finish me off.
(The crowd cheers as Kassidy is about to put the mic down when suddenly “Somebody Get Me A Doctor” by Van Halen starts to play throughout the arena as the crowd erupts in boos, some cheers. Ten security guards walk out and stand five on each side of the entrance way, when Dr. Bethany Blue walks out in jeans, a halter top, leather jacket and heels, the Universal Women’s Championship is around her waist, still covered in bruises and some wounds, a mic in hand as the theme fades.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: You didn’t think I was here tonight, but I showed up because I wanted to make sure that these lemmings that run the EAW especially your husband would go through with the findings of the Psychiatric Evaluation last week and call this who match off especially after what you did to me a few weeks ago on Voltage and I have not been able to compete since. I should have known though that you would show up and even go against your husband’s ruling. So, that is why you’re going to pay. It was bad enough that you stole my spotlight and one of the most important nights in my career. It was bad enough that you invaded my home almost three years ago, that you forced me to compete when I was still hurt, where you embarrassed me and threw me off my path for months, hell even years while you went on to become a Hall of Famer. For once Kassidy, things are not going your way. The Doctor’s found you unable to compete because you are not mentally fit! Which means that the match is off. I don’t care what I have done, truth be told, you drove me to those actions, YOU were the one at fault for all of this not me!
(The crowd boos, Kassidy just stares at her for a moment, shaking her head.)
Kassidy Heart: So, what you are telling me is that you’re not budging. I am giving you the opportunity to fight me as a champion at Pain For Pride, this is just as much your opportunity to finally put me away as it is me to win that title. Is that what I am hearing? I am giving you one last chance.
(Bethany starts to chuckle, shaking her head.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: The Doctors found you insane and you should be locked up, this match is not happening!
(Again, louder boos when Kassidy shrugs her shoulders.)
Kassidy Heart: Fine… I gave you a chance. So, I guess you forgot to tell the board and the EAW in general that Dr. Kyle Sabol was not only your mother’s ex, but he is also the man that signed and gave you a grant to attend the University of Miami, right?
Dr. Bethany Blue: Excuse me?
Kassidy Heart: You are excused. It’s funny what you find on old Social Media posts, like this one here.
(Kassidy points to the Tron, which shows a picture of Bethany when she graduated Medical School next to Dr. Kyle Sabol. Bethany looks on, her eyes narrowing some, turning around slowly glaring at Kassidy.)
Kassidy Heart: It’s nice to see that he was at your graduation. It’s funny too that Dr. Angela Crawford was on the board that voted your mother to be the Surgeon General. I guess that was a coincidence too. Or maybe Dr. Heinrich Strasburg, who just so happened to sign off on your first residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, right? So basically, all three of these Doctors have ties to you Bethany, so would you say they are compromised?
(Kassidy points at the Tron again, this time showing a picture of Bethany smiling with a picture of all three Doctors out at dinner.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: ENOUGH! That proves nothing! The medical industry is a tight knit community, Kassidy! This doesn’t mean a damn thing!
Kassidy Heart: I thought you would say that, but as you can see, I did give you the chance to save some face, you decided not to take it but unlike your assessment or that of the Doctors? The EAW Board sees it differently and they have indeed thrown this evaluation out due to your relationship with them, so what am I saying? The match is still on!
(Bethany’s eyes grow wider as she grits her teeth, glaring at Kassidy.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: No, it is not!
Kassidy Heart: Yes…. It is and I will see you tomorrow night on Voltage.
Dr. Bethany Blue: For what?
(Kassidy Smiles.)
Kassidy Heart: The Contract signing.
(The crowd erupts in cheers as Kassidy drops the mic and Bethany looks on, furious, not able to believe what is happening right now. “Partition” starts to play throughout the arena as Dr. Bethany Blue throws the mic and storms off followed by security to the back Kassidy stands in the middle of the ring with a smile on her face.)
Deadprez: They will make the match official tomorrow night! Glass Wallz for the Universal Women’s Championship is happening at Pain For Pride!
Eve: We almost didn’t get it! But Dr. Bethany Blue got too careless, and Kassidy was able to uncover it! This match is happening, and it could steal the show!
Gavin Kirkland: This is completely unfair to Bethany!
(Kassidy continues to stand in the middle of the ring with a huge smirk on her face as the camera fades to a commercial break.)
(The camera returns to the ring where Gina Romano is standing in the center of the ring with a microphone in hand ready to make the introductions for tonight’s main event match.)
Gina Romano: The following contest has a THIRTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT and it is a special PAIN FOR PRIDE REMATCH scheduled for ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘They Call Me a God’ by NEFFEX immediately starts playing as Ms. Extreme enters the arena to loud cheers from the crowd. She is in a horrible mood and she immediately heads to the ring with a purpose.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first and making her way to the ring! From Calabasas, California! Weighing in at 140 pounds. Here is “THE PROBLEM CHILD” MS. EXTREME!
Deadprez: Here comes Ms. Extreme and she is NOT in a good mood right now. Earlier tonight on Showdown, she managed to run off Impact and Kennedy Street. But because of the devious nature of Kennedy Street, Camille lost her chance to get Kennedy one on one in the ring and now she has to fight Impact at Pain for Pride.
Eve: Ever since she came back, Ms. Extreme has wanted to get her hands on Kennedy Street in a match in the worst way possible because of all the stuff Kennedy has done to make her life a living nightmare. Add to that the fact that she got beat by Drake Armstrong last week because of her butting in and taking over. Right now, her opponent has no association with Kennedy in Chris Elite and these two have some history.
Gavin Kirkland: Last year at Pain for Pride, Ms. Extreme lost to Chris Elite and she is looking to rectify that loss with a win here tonight. Not only that, she would absolutely love to get some momentum for her match against Impact. But will her focus be diverted thanks to what happened earlier tonight. If so, then Ms. Extreme will be in for a long night and a mess of trouble.
(Camille gets in the ring and takes her corner as her entrance music fades off. There are a few moments of silence before “Invincible” by Pop Smoke starts playing and Chris Elite enters the arena. He has a look of determination as he heads immediately to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing her opponent! He is from Brooklyn, New York. Weighing in at 210 pounds. Here is “GAWD GIVEN GREATNESS” CHRIS ELITE!!
Gavin Kirkland: Here comes the opposition and Chris Elite has had matters of his own ever since Fighting Spirit with Voltage’s Theron Nikolas. That will also come to a boiling point with their match at Pain for Pride.
Eve: Chris Elite has been doing whatever he could to finish this Season on a high note and a victory of Theron Nikolas at Pain for Pride would do it.
Deadprez: He needs to be on the top of his game and put Theron out of his mind for the time being as Ms. Extreme is someone who will take advantage of a mistake very quickly. But who will win this rematch? We are about to find out.
(Chris Elite enters the ring and takes his corner as his entrance music fades off. The referee checks both competitors before calling for the bell.)

Deadprez: Here we go! Main event match is underway! Camille and Elite meet up in the center of the ring and there is no feeling out process here. Two immediately go to lock up, but it is the Chris Elite who gets the early advantage.
Eve: Elite with a side headlock before quickly transitioning into a hammerlock. Camille tries to fire off an elbow, but Elite ducks it. HOLD ON! ELITE LOCKS CAMILLE’S ARM AND LIFTS HER INTO A BACK SUPLEX–
Gavin Kirkland: BUT CAMILLE FALLS BACK AND LANDS BEHIND ELITE BEFORE FIRING OFF A FOREARM TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! Elite stumbles forward and CAMILLE IS STILL FIRING FOREARMS THAT DROP ELITE TO A KNEE!
Eve: Now Camille hits the ropes before rebounding AND CHRIS ELITE SPRINGS RIGHT BACK TO HIS FEET AND CLOBBERS MS. EXTREME WITH A POWERFUL CLOTHESLINE! THAT TURNED CAMILLE INSIDE OUT!
Gavin Kirkland: These two veterans are very skilled and have a huge bag of tricks, so it will be hard early on for either one of them to keep the advantage for too long. Right now, it’s Chris Elite who has the advantage and he right now just pounding the crap out of Ms. Extreme.
Deadprez: The referee is admonishing Chris to open up his fists and break the punches and he finally listens on four in order to not risk disqualification on five. He brings Camille back to her feet and whips her to the ropes.
Gavin Kirkland: Camille comes back and Chris grabs her for a backbreaker or a sidewalk slam, BUT CAMILLE GETS HER LEGS AROUND ELITE’S NECK AND COUNTERS IT WITH A HEADSCISSOR TAKEOVER!
Deadprez: Chris Elite sent for the ride there and all the way to the corner. Elite is in the corner AND HERE COMES CAMILLE AT FULL SPEED! SHE JUMPS ON CHRIS ELITE AND LOOKS TO GO FOR A MONKEY FLIP–
Eve: CHRIS ELITE MUSTERS UP THE POWER AND WALKS HER OUT OF THE CORNER AND OVER TO THE ROPES! Elite sits Ms. Extreme on the top rope and rears back a right hand–
Deadprez: MS. EXTREME GETS HER LEGS AROUND ELITE’S HEAD ONCE AGAIN AND COUNTERS WITH A FRANKENSTEINER THAT TAKES CHRIS ELITE OVER THE TOP ROPE AND CRASHING TO THE FLOOR!!
Eve: Camille held onto the ropes to keep her balance and she landed on the apron before getting back to the ring. Elite is starting to get back to his feet as Camille hits the ropes again and she once again runs at full speed–
Gavin Kirkland: MS. EXTREME DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES AND TAKES CHRIS ELITE DOWN WITH A BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE DIVE! ELITE CRASHES AND HITS THE FLOOR ONCE AGAIN AS THE CROWD GOES WILD!
(The camera cuts back to the General Manager’s office where Kennedy Street is watching the match when she turns and Theron Nikolas is there in front of her. She cracks a smile and tilts her head.)
Kennedy Street: I am surprised that you are here, honey.
Theron Nikolas: I came here to make sure that the challenge between Chris Elite and I was accepted for Pain for Pride.
Kennedy Street: Silly me, totally forgot about that. So, tell me more.
(Theron’s eyebrow arches as it slowly cuts back to the action in the ring.)
Eve: That was an interesting look back to Kennedy Street’s office and we know that she doesn’t want Ms. Extreme to win this match, so she is probably rooting for Chris Elite to win. Right now Chris Elite is on the ropes in this match as Ms. Extreme brings him back to his feet–
Gavin Kirkland: AND MS. EXTREME SLAMS CHRIS ELITE ON THE RINGSIDE FLOOR! Ms. Extreme is really taking it to Chris Elite in this match right now. Elite has been pulled to his feet once again and slides him back into the ring as she quickly follows.
Deadprez: Camille drags Elite to the corner as she makes her way to the second rope. She doesn’t waste a second when she gets up there AND SHE JUMPS BEFORE DROPPING THE LEG ACROSS ELITE’S THROAT!
Gavin Kirkland: What a leg drop from the second rope as Camille got all of it and she quickly scrambles into the cover and hooks the leg.

Deadprez: ELITE POWERS OUT AT TWO! It’s still too early in the match to finish Chris Elite off and Ms. Extreme pulls Chris back up to his feet and kicks him in the gut. Elite doubled over as CAMILLE PICKS HIM UP FOR A SUPLEX–
Eve: CHRIS ELITE FIRING ELBOW AFTER ELBOW INTO THE SIDE OF CAMILLE’S HEAD AND THAT FORCES CAMILLE TO LET HIM GO! Elite is free and ELITE FIRES A RIGHT HAND AND THAT CAUGHT CAMILLE IN THE JAW!!
Deadprez: That was a Mike Tyson style uppercut that Chris Elite calls the… well for Disney censors, it’s called “The Stopper” and Chris Elite stopped Camille right in her tracks. Camille’s jaw might have been knocked off the hinges with that shot.
Eve: Now Elite grabs Camille and quickly snaps her over with the snap suplex. Turnabout is fair play and Elite hits the move that Extreme was going for and now the tide has turned into the favor of Gawd Given Greatness.
Gavin Kirkland: Elite pulls Camille back to her feet and whips her into the turnbuckle. Elite quickly follows AND SPLASHES CAMILLE IN THE CORNER! NOW ELITE IS FIRING THOSE MARTIAL ARTS STYLE KICKS INTO THE STOMACH AND RIBS OF MS. EXTREME!
Eve: The referee once again admonishes Elite and he finally backs off. Now Elite locks up Ms. Extreme’s head and lifts her up before sitting her on the top turnbuckle before climbing up there himself.
Gavin Kirkland: Now he locks her up once again to take her off the top turnbuckle, BUT CAMILLE IS FIGHTING BACK AND BLOCKING IT BEFORE CHRIS ELITE CATCHES HER WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT KNOCKING CAMILLE LOOPY!
Deadprez: He was looking for a superplex the first time and how he has a different lock on Camille BEFORE BACKFLIPPING THEM BOTH DOWN TO THE MAT AND CAMILLE CRASHES ONTO THE MAT WITH THAT SPANISH FLY!
Gavin Kirkland: Brooklyn High by Chris Elite and both competitors are down for the moment, but Elite is quickly scrambling into the cover and he does as he hooks the leg.

Eve: Camille is holding her lower back after that landing of the Spanish Fly, but Elite pulls her right back to her feet AND HE JUST FIRES OFF A SLAP RIGHT TO THE FACE! I’LL SMACK THE… CRAP… OUT OF YOU!
Deadprez: I don’t think that hurt as much as it fired Camille up. LOOK AT HER EYES! SHE DOES NOT LOOK HAPPY! SHE WASN’T HAPPY GOING INTO THIS MATCH AND THAT SLAP JUST FIRED HER UP EVEN MORE!
Eve: Ms. Extreme is trying to do whatever she can to reign in her temper, BUT SHE LOST HER TEMPER AND SHE FIRES BACK WITH A SLAP OF HER OWN RIGHT ACROSS THE FACE! HOLY CRAP! LOOK AT THE HAND PRINT ON ELITE’S FACE!
Gavin Kirkland: Elite comes back AND HE THROWS A RIGHT HAND! Camille reels back AND SHE FIRES A RIGHT HAND IN RETURN AND CHRIS ELITE IS… LAUGHING? WHAT MAKES THIS SO FUNNY?
Eve: It’s like getting punched in the face is very amusing for Chris Elite as he FIRES ANOTHER RIGHT HAND IN CAMILLE’S FACE AND NOW SHE HAS A SMILE ON HER FACE! SHE DOESN’T HAVE THE NAME MS. EXTREME FOR NOTHING!
Gavin Kirkland: She loves this hardcore environment and I guess that means getting punched in the face AND NOW THINGS HAVE BROKEN DOWN IN THIS MATCH AND WE HAVE A BRAWL BETWEEN THE TWO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!
Deadprez: Both competitors have been dealing with a whole bunch of stuff the last month or so and their frustrations have come to a head and now these two are just in the middle of a fight right now. Fists are flying in the ring with one trying to get the advantage over the other.
Gavin Kirkland: And it’s Chris Elite who manages to get the advantage over in the brawl over Ms. Extreme and he is still firing those right hands in Camille’s face and she is backed up against the ropes.
Deadprez: Elite whips her to the ropes, but Camille manages to counter and sends Elite for the ride. Elite comes back AND CAMILLE FIRES A CLOTHESLINE THAT ELITE DUCKS! Now Elite hits the other side before jumping up to the middle rope and diving forward–
Eve: AND CHRIS ELITE WITH A SPRINGBOARD NECKBREAKER THAT TAKES MS. EXTREME DOWN! BEAUTIFUL MOVE BY CHRIS ELITE! Ms. Extreme is down and Elite is looking to go up to the high rent district once again.
Deadprez: Elite is back up to the top rope and he gets in position BEFORE FLYING OFF THE TOP ROPE LOOKING FOR THE FROG SPLASH, BUT CAMILLE ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY AND CHRIS ELITE CRASHES AND BURNS CHEST FIRST ONTO THE MAT!
Eve: Elite looks like he had the wind knocked out of him as Ms. Extreme gets back to her feet and quickly pulls Elite up BEFORE DROPPING HIM WITH A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! THAT ALMOST LOOKED LIKE A MODIFIED SPINEBUSTER!
Gavin Kirkland: Call it whatever you want, the back of Chris Elite’s head just snapped back and cracked against the mat on impact. Now Camille gets back to her feet and brings Elite with her AND SHE TAKES ELITE DOWN WITH A BEAUTIFUL NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX WITH A BRIDGE AND SHOULDERS ARE DOWN!

(The camera cuts once again back to General Manager Kennedy Street’s office as she is sitting in the front of the desk, legs crossed tapping Theron on the chest and he is a bit confused about what is going on.)
Kennedy Street: You were a big time on Showdown last season, so Kennie gets it. I’m going to be honest, I totally forgot that Chris was actually going to have the balls to go on Voltage and do something about it. You must understand that Kennie loves winners.
Theron Nikolas: Then you must hate Chris Elite.
Kennedy Street: Precisely. What was it again that you wanted? Oh right, a match at Pain For Pride with Chris. Let’s discuss it a little more.
Theron Nikolas: Uh…..

Deadprez: We can only wonder how happy Kennedy is at the moment now that Camille managed to change things in her favor once more and now Camille is ready to fly.

(The camera once again cuts back to General Manager Kennedy Street’s office where this time Theron is standing there arms folded and he seems to be losing patience.)
Theron Nikolas: All I need is a yes or a no.
Kennedy Street: Honey, everyone knows that no means yes and vice versa. It is not very often I have visitors from other promotions come to my office, so give me a minute to soak it up.
Theron Nikolas: I want him in the ring. That is all! Give him to me!
Kennedy Street: Forceful, I like it. Tell you what, yes. You can have him at Pain For Pride. Tell the Captain to call me honey and we can chat. Now, sit down and let’s watch the rest of this match.
(Theron nods and is happy to have been given his match, at least on Kennedy’s side. He does sit and start to watch the match as Kennedy winks at him before it transitions back to the action.)
Deadprez: Will you stop that? You need to be nicer to some of these Elitists… or less creepy, but that’s another story for another time.
Eve: That’s right, but right now, Camille is still down and Chris Elite drags Camille over to the corner before heading to the top rope one more time.
Deadprez: Elite is up on the top rope and he is trying to find his balance, BUT WAIT A SECOND! LOOK AT THIS!
Eve: EITHER ELITE USED UP TOO MUCH TIME OR SHE WAS PLAYING POSSUM BECAUSE CAMILLE IS BACK UP TO HER FEET AND SHE RUNS RIGHT TO THE CORNER AND CATCHES ELITE IN THE LEG!
Gavin Kirkland: ELITE LOSES HIS BALANCE AND HE HAS AN UGLY LANDING ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! OUCH! That never feels good considering the looks I see on everybody’s faces whenever it happens.
Eve: You hit the nail on the head on that one. Very astute observation right there, Gavin.

(“They Call Me a God” starts playing again as Ms. Extreme rolls off of Chris Elite as Gina Romano starts to announce the final decision.)
Gina Romano: Here is your winner! MS. EXTREME!
Deadprez: What a great match we witnessed between two former World Champions. They both showed why they have been successful throughout their careers. Chris won the match last year at Pain for Pride and tonight Ms. Extreme evens the score.
(The referee raises Ms. Extreme’s arm in victory as the crowd cheers loudly for Ms. Extreme as the referee goes back to check on a still down Chris Elite as she leaves the ring and heads up the entrance ramp.)
Gavin Kirkland: Both fought hard and Ms. Extreme got some much needed momentum towards Impact and Pain for Pride. I can only wonder what Kennedy Street thinks about Camille pulling off the victory. She’s probably not too thrilled.
Eve: I really don’t think that Camille really cares about Kennedy in any way except for her and Impact’s ultimate demise at Pain for Pride. Tonight was a good start to that.
Gavin Kirkland: We also have to give Chris Elite a lot of credit for his performance in this match. He worked his butt off to put Camille down and give himself some momentum towards Theron Nikolas. He almost had the match won on a few occasions, but unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be.
Eve: Sometimes things happen, but both Chris and Camille are no doubt looking good for their matches in just a few weeks.
Deadprez: They are certainly two of the many amazing matches that will be on tap at Pain for Pride. Extreme vs. Impact and Elite vs. Nikolas and those matches are going to be amazing. But tonight belongs to the one and only Ms. Extreme. Congratulations on your victory once again tonight on Showdown!
(The final shot shows Ms. Extreme at the top of the entrance ramp with a satisfied, but still determined look on her face before cutting to Chris Elite who is sitting in the center of the ring with a frustrated look on his face as the camera cuts to the final commercial break.)
(As Showdown returns from commercial break, ‘WAR’ by grandson hits over the PA system, the fans immediately jumping to their feet to greet the Answers World Champion Jake Smith. The reaction is loud, and not surprising considering that in just a couple of weeks’ time, the season will end, Jake looking to end the season still in pole position and atop the Showdown brand. After a few seconds, Jake Smith walks out onto the stage, the championship belt draped over his shoulder, which he lifts aloft to another huge ovation. He then starts his way down the ramp, talking to many of the fans and high-fiving others, enjoying the moment.)
Deadprez: What a moment for the Champion, sharing it with these fans.
Eve: Not a reaction he would have always got
Gavin Kirkland: You have to bring up his past don’t you?
Eve: Yes, Gavin I do, because it gives you an indication of just how far he has come.
(Jake steps up onto the apron, and stands there with a grin on his face, before stepping through the strands. He reaches over the ropes and grabs a microphone from one of the crew, before walking back into the center of the ring and taking in the ovation.)
Eve: This is off the chart, perhaps the noisiest I have heard the fans this year and that’s saying something.
Deadprez: You cannot deny that Jake Smith has done a lot for that Championship and may well do so going forwards if he can get past Adam Lucas at Pain for Pride.
Gavin Kirkland: Easier said than done.
Deadprez: We have said that with everyone, from Impact through Chris Elite and Alex Myers and all the way to Donovan Duke but Jake has always found a way. I am not going to doubt him here that’s for sure.
(The camera pans back to Jake, who holds up his hand, asking for his music to cut which it does. A ‘Jake Smith’ chant breaks out, Jake nodding along with it until he decides to lift the mic to his lips.)
Jake Smith: Thank you for that… believe it or not it means everything to me. You know, I’ve never said that I am the morality police around this place, I leave that to others. What I have always said is that this company means everything to me. So, imagine what it means to me to be this brand’s champion. It doesn’t matter what you have thought of me as an individual, I have always had this companies’ best interests at heart, and regardless of what happens at Pain for Pride, that is never going to change.
(A cheer goes up from the crowd, clearly buying into his words as he paces the ring whilst still talking.)
Jake Smith: I’ve spoken before about how becoming World Champion was inevitable, my journey is one that will make one heck of a blockbuster movie one day. But even when I was not the World Champion, I was still the pinnacle of professional wrestling, and the standard bearer for everyone to look up. Back in my Pure Championship days, when I reigned that division supreme, I was the epitome of that that champion was, and what that championship meant… unlike Adam Lucas. You think DEDEDE changed that title by accident? No, he changed it because Adam Lucas could never be a symbol of ‘pure wrestling’, he simply didn’t have the skills. Looking back, that is a precursor of what comes next at Pain for Pride. It will just be another example of Adam not having the necessary skills or indeed having what it takes to be what this company needs. This company needs a strong champion, Adam Lucas wont be. And that is not his fault… it’s just facts.
Deadprez: Jake Smith making it clear that he believes he’s walking away from Pain for Pride still champion and continuing with his digs at Adam in the process.
Eve: It’s the way he is, like him or hate him he isn’t going to change what is a winning formula. This is precisely the way he got to Donovan Duke, and he’s doing the same thing here to Adam Lucas.
(We cut back to Jake who is once again stood still.)
Jake Smith: No matter where you go, I am a man who is respected by all in wrestling circles for what I have achieved in this industry. I am known as someone who is scrappy and who doesn’t give up, but more than anything I am known as a man of the people. A man who understands people. That’s why, and I know you are listening in the back Adam, I’m going to do you a favour. Even though you are my opponent, I am going to be big enough to still give you some of the best advice you will even be given. Adam, listen very carefully, because by the time I’m through, you will know how to have an healthy relationship not only with other Elitists, but also, especially, with your wife.
(A grin forms on Jakes face, as the camera pans in. An ‘Oooo’ is heard around the arena, as the crowd recognise where this is going.)
Gavin Kirkland: Oh my, I hope Adam isn’t listening.
Eve: You can bet he is Gavin.
Jake Smith: First the Elitists… I can understand why not many people like you in the back, hardly noticing you are there. To be the Champion, you need to be a role model, and not some vanilla little bitch that doesn’t stand up for himself…
Deadprez: Here we go…
Jake Smith: To be a champion, you need to look towards ME, to understand what a locker room leader is. Instead of being someone like even our General Manager doesn’t have any faith in. With regards to relationships…
(The grin grows even wider, and his eyes narrow a little.)
Jake Smith: Look to what I have with Holly, how special our bond is that we can fight in that ring, but it has no bearing on our feelings towards. How I treat her like a Queen, but hold her responsible for her actions, in a way you could never understand. I mean, let’s face it Adam, I know full well you cannot make Bethany’s toes curl like I did back in 2020…
Eve: Oh, come on, that is uncalled for
Jake Smith: You don’t have her scream your name like a banshee. Imagine Adam, what she would say to you if you asked her to wrestle topless in mud. THAT was true love, not this soap-opera we have had to endure….
(‘You know my name’ by Chris Cornell hits over the PA, and the reaction is something else as Adam Lucas steps through the curtain and immediately makes his way towards the ramp.)
Deadprez: Unsurprisingly, the Number One contender has heard enough
Eve: Surprised it took this long.
(In the ring, Jake rolls his eyes at Adam predictability, but does take a step back as Adam rolls under the bottom rope and makes a beeline for him, deviating to instead grab a microphone. He’s not waiting for his music to die down, or the crowd to hush, he wants to speak. Now.)
Adam Lucas: That’s ENOUGH!!!
(Adam’s voice booms through the arena, taking a lot of people by surprise. Officials start making their way down the ramp, expecting trouble.)
Jake Smith: Whoa there fella, cool those jets. I don’t expect a fee bro, that advice was gratis.
Adam Lucas: You know exactly where you can stick that advice right?
Jake Smith: Yeah, I got a good idea. Some folk you just can’t help right guys?
(He looks out over the fans, some cheering, but others booing as the arena picks sides.)
Adam Lucas: I warned you Jake, I was quite clear that you were making this personal. I told you, categorically, not to go there.
Jake Smith: Sorry, I kind of ignored you.
Adam Lucas: Yes, you did. You wanted this personal, so let’s talk about you huh? Let’s talk a little about Jake Smith the ‘locker room’ leader shall we? A leader who NO ONE believed should be world champion in the first place. A leader who NO ONE has respected as champion, but the guy standing opposite you in the ring.
Jake Smith: I…
(Adam lifts his hand.)
Adam Lucas: Shut the hell up Jake… I’m speaking now.
(Another ‘Oooo’ from the crowd is quickly drowned out by Adam continuing.)
Adam Lucas: You’ve changed that narrative now for sure, and yes you have one heck of a reign with that belt, a reign that is almost over by the way, but you have been a worthy champion for sure. But let us not gloss over the fact that there wasn’t a single person in this industry who respected you until you got that title. Let’s not ignore the fact that once you lose it, you’ll just go back to being the person that everyone laughed at, you once again having to try and win a one-off match so that you can claim a title via a cash in, instead of fighting ALL YEAR for the opportunity. ALL of that, raw sewage from the mouth who knows that his time is numbered, and I am right in everything I have said. But none of it more damning, than rather than make Beth’s toe’s ‘curl’, she had barely gotten moist by the time you had prematurely shot your load. Did you know Jake that she called you the ‘five second wonder’? And four seconds of that was your feeble attempts at foreplay. You know what bro, I feel for Holly, I really do. Perhaps her and Harper are more than just a tag team huh?
(A cheer from the crowd brings a smile to Adam’s face, Jake nodding, apparently somewhat impressed.)
Jake Smith: There he is, there is the Adam I have been looking for
Adam Lucas: Nah Jake because I’m not like you. I don’t have to play these childish games to get my point across. Once again, I reiterate, I’m not here because I’ve lost control. Angry? Yeah. Do I want to snap your head off your shoulders? Sure. But when it all comes down to it, all I want is that title draped over your shoulder. And I AM going to take it Jake, I promise you. Then you can go back to being the guy who puts together pointless stables for his own elevation. You can go back to being the Jake Smith that everyone laughed at.
(Adam turns away, and looks like he is about to leave, but Jake puts a hand on his shoulder spinning him around. On the outside, security steps up onto the apron, Jake seeing them, Adam as well.)
Jake Smith: That’s all you have?
Adam Lucas: It’s all I need Jake, you’ll get the rest at Pain for Pride.
Jake Smith: OK then, let me leave you with this. No matter what you say or do Adam, you and I, we will always be Eskimo brothers…
Deadprez: Why do I believe this isn’t going to end well, dawg?
Jake Smith: And although you won’t be taking this title, I’ll gladly let you have my sloppy seconds.
Eve: Oh no… look at Adam’s face!
(Adam’s face contorts into a sneer, Jake just staring him dead in the eyes.)
Deadprez: HUGE RIGHT FROM ADAM LUCAS!!!
(Lucas catches Jake off guard, knocking the belt to the floor, but Jake retaliates with a shot of his own, the two hammering away at each other, but not for long as officials quickly swarm the ring, pulling the two of them apart. The fans in the arena boo and jeer, as Jake Smith grabs his belt and slides under the bottom rope.)
Fans: LET THEM FIGHT. LET THEM FIGHT!!!
(Jake Smith holds up the belt, laughing at Adam who is held back by the officials.)
Eve: The fans want them to go now, but you can bet Kennedy Street doesn’t want her main event ruined.
Gavin Kirkland: For sure, but look at Jake, he’s really trying to get under Adam’s skin!
(Adam nods, as an official tells him to calm down, seemingly doing so as Jake continues with his antics. Suddenly, Adam breaks free, and pushes the official to the floor, before sling-shotting over the top rope, and crashing down on Jake Smith. Adam mounts him, and starts pounding him with a flurry of right hands, Jake trying to cover up.)
Deadprez: Adam Lucas getting himself some of Jake Smith. Jake wanted this to get personal, well there you are Jake.
Eve: Adam has had enough. Is Jake Smith going to come to regret his actions!?
Gavin Kirkland: Jake’s been here before, he knows what he is doing. He said he wanted Adam incensed, and he’s got what he wanted. Only at Pain for Pride will we find out if that was the right course of action!
Deadprez: We’re out of time folks, join us next time out for the penultimate Showdown before Pain for Pride. I literally cannot wait!
Gavin Kirkland: I think a little wee just came out.

(We cut back to Adam who is still pummelling away, until finally he is pulled off Jake who backs up the ramp. It is in that scene, that the picture fades.)
