Rising Star of the Week

Joso

This week’s Rising Star of the Week was the winner of the New Era Classic, Joso! Joso has had a great rise in EAW with his fantastic performance throughout this tournament, and in the end all his improvement paid off as he defeated Harley Lewis in the finals of this tournament at Pain for Pride! Joso has become a really talented competitor and will no doubt only get better, and this win at his first ever Pain for Pride is a phenomenal achievement for a newcomer like him. It wasn’t easy by any means winning a tournament with so many talented Elitists, but in the end he was able to pull it off. Congratulations Joso!

Beef of the Week

Jake Smith vs Jay Jerry Johnson vs Adam Lucas vs Ronan Malosi vs Jon Kelton vs SOSA Henderson

The Beef of the Week for Pain for Pride week has to go to a match that tends to be extremely competitive nearly every single year, the Cash in the Vault ladder match! This match is very much capable of bringing the best out of all the competitors involved, and that’s what was seen during Pain for Pride week as all six Elitists in this match put out tons of fantastic promos. In a match with varying types of competitors from newcomers to former World Champions, everyone in this match delivered and did not disappoint at the biggest show of the year.

Show of the Week

Pain for Pride XV

The Show of the Week for this week was Pain for Pride XV! This shouldn’t come as a surprise at all, but there’s actually many reasons for that. One of those is the fact that this Pain for Pride gave everyone tons of huge moments and fantastic matches. Every single year Pain for Pride has delivered and exceeded all expectations and this year was no exception, featuring historic matches such as Andrea Valentine versus Kassidy Heart and Andre Walker versus the Visual Prophet, as well as the ending of amazing feuds such as what was seen in the EAW Championship triple threat. This show also saw Impact win his tenth ever World Championship in an incredible victory, and so much more such as the end of the New Era Classic and Iconic Cup tournaments. Pain for Pride once again showcased how far EAW has come and how talented everyone involved continues to be!

Match of the Week

Minerva vs Myles vs Drake King

With a show as incredible as Pain for Pride there was bound to be tons of great options for this, but in the end the Match of the Week has to go to the triple threat between the former EAW World Champion Myles, Drake King, and the NEW EAW World Champion Minerva. This was the culmination of a story that started at the start of 2021, and with such a brutal match along with a beautiful ending as Myles proposed to the new World Champion, this match had so much to offer and was such a great way to end night one, as well as finally end things between New Eden once and for all.

Promoer of the Week

Jake Smith

The Promoer of the Week for this week was Jake Smith! Jake Smith has been an Elitist to showcase a lot of growth this season, and if there was any place for Jake to show how far he’s come, it was Pain for Pride! In the end Jake Smith delivered, as all of his many promos throughout the week were fantastic, which was to be expected as this was one of Jake’s biggest opportunities yet. Jake Smith absolutely showed how different he is as an Elitist now compared to the start of the season. The new Mr. Cash in the Vault did such a fantastic job for the biggest show of the year!

Champion of the Week

Andrea Valentine

This week’s Champion of the Week was the Universal Women’s Champion, Andrea Valentine! At Pain for Pride, Andrea Valentine was the only World Champion to retain their title at the show! Not only that, but Andrea retained her title in a huge match as she took on a member from the same Hall of Fame class as her, Kassidy Heart! Andrea Valentine managed to win the incredible match between two of the very best in EAW history, showcasing just how great of a wrestler, and how great of a Champion Andrea Valentine has been.

Most Valuable Elitist

Andre Walker

The Most Valuable Elitist for this week has to be the man that ended Pain for Pride with TWO Championships, that man being Andre Walker! It can’t be said enough how incredible of an accomplishment it is holding both the Interwire and World Heavyweight Championship, and this is really something that can only be done by the best of the best. Andre Walker managed to pull this off by defeating the Visual Prophet in a Winner Takes All match, closing out Pain for Pride night three in historic fashion. Andre Walker’s rise to the top in EAW has been unlike any other, establishing himself as one of the most dominant Elitists there is today. Congratulations to the new World Heavyweight Champion!
