(EAW intro plays.)
(The camera opens up as usual and a recap of last week’s Voltage begins to play. It starts off with Captain Charisma going out with the Wicked Games Roulette and inviting anybody to spin it, and the EAW Champion Minerva steps up first. She spins it and the stipulation for her match is revealed to be a Hardcore Match. Charlie Marr comes out laughing, confident because Minerva was now on his turf, although Minerva does not flinch a bit from the result, since she won the title in one of the most brutal matches in EAW’s existence. The two Champions go back and forth before they start brawling, with Charlie just barely escaping Minerva.)
(The Ice Aces successfully beat the Off-Brand Amphetamines, but after the match Candice Blair comes out with an objective, getting #FreeAyu trending and continuing to call out Usagi as an abuser. Ayu finally steps up and defends Usagi, saying that she is anything but that and that the two love each other dearly. Candice doesn’t budge and Usagi can’t take anymore, quickly getting out of the ring and rushing at Candice. She is stopped by security and Eden comes out saying that she can’t let Usagi continue to hurt people with her actions. She declares that Usagi will need to undergo mandatory anger management and sensitivity training and she has security escort Usagi from the building.)
(SHOHEI is able to take the victory against Ronan Malosi.)
Halsey Neel, Haruka Kashimashi and Kylie Grace find out the stipulation for their match, and after some bickering Kylie spins the Wicked Games Roulette. In a fun twist, the wheel lands on ‘Falls Count Anywhere’. Each girl gives their reason to fight to win this match, as Halsey and Haruka start bickering once again and start brawling between each other. Kylie gets taken out in the middle of it by accident before they are broken up by security.)
(Delilah Everett gets invited to Captain Charisma’s office. Captain Charisma, who is there with Hikari Kanno, lets Delilah know that they know Sierra is faking her injuries. Whether Sierra wants it or not, she will face Hikari at Wicked Games. Delilah tries to come up with more excuses for her sister, but Captain Charisma isn’t having it, and Delilah is forced to go and deliver the news to Sierra. Sierra is not thrilled and takes her frustration out on Delilah.)
(PJ Hendrx from Dynasty beats Hunnid Honcho and Kylie Grace in a Bragging Rights Steel Cage Match after Halsey interferes and costs Kylie the win.)
(Daryl Kinkade comes out to spin the wheel and find out his stipulation for his match against Ronan, which turns out to be ‘Fans Bring The Weapons’. Daryl doubles down on what he said about Ronan, promises that Ronan made a mistake with targeting him, and encourages the fans to bring what they wanna see him beat up Ronan with.)
(Candice Blair defeats ARIA after Ayu Megumi interferes in the match and she accidentally hits ARIA with a steel chair.)
(Earlier in the night, Ronan arrives with a bouquet of flowers to Eden’s office, trying to work together with her and make her listen to what he has to say. After a few minutes of talking, Eden gives in and listens to Ronan, who has a great idea for Wicked Games he wants to tell her about.)
(Drake comes out to the ring, tired of having to deal with TLA and his shenanigans. He wants to press charges against TLA for destroying his home in Israel since TLA won’t back out of the Wicked Games match, but he is interrupted by Captain Charisma. Captain Charisma tells Drake he bought all those problems to himself. He can’t back out now since he was the one who started it. Drake tries to defend himself, but he is taken down by TLA, who states that Drake isn’t escaping out of the lucha, he already spun the wheel and he announces that their match will be a Disney Fun House Match.)
(Theron Nikolas beats the Hardcore Champion, Charlie Marr, in a clean, well fought match.)
(Ronan comes out with Eden and announces his great idea for Wicked Games. He makes Dr. Bethany Blue versus Sheridan Muller official for Wicked Games. Bethany and Sheridan come out, obviously enraged since they know what Ronan is trying to do, but Eden says that her decision is final and the match stays.)
(Finally, Minerva faces off against Hikari in an exciting main event. Charlie tries to cost Minerva the match but he ends up costing Hikari by accident and Minerva takes advantage of that to take the victory. Charlie tries to attack Minerva once more, but Minerva knows what he is doing this time, being able to avoid him and drop him down with the Atlas Falls, as the closing shot of the show is Minerva standing tall.)
(The recap ends and Sunday Night Voltage fades away to show a shot of the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia. An edited version of ‘33rd Blakk Glass’ by ZilaKami & SosMula is played through the speakers as spotlights are panning around and golden pyro is shooting out from the stage. The crowd cheers wildly as the camera then goes over to show the broadcasting team of Rich Russillo, James Peters, and Persephone.)
Rich Russillo: Welcome ladies and gentlemen…to SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE!!! And to the go-home show for Wicked Games! Tensions are rising high between our competitors and those tensions are only being fueled by the stipulations of their matches. Which of those tensions will explode at Wicked Games or even tonight?
James Peters: We will have to see Rich, but we can’t ignore either the matches that are happening tonight. We have SHOHEI versus Sierra Everett and in our main event, Daryl Kinkade and Ronan Malosi will take on Halsey Neel and Haruka Kashimash! Can they co-exist?! It will depend on the competitors, either way, we are looking forward to watching these exciting matches!
Persephone: Yes, just as I am looking forward to definitely staying and watching this whole show and not leaving here as soon as possible, I really love my job after all! Anyway, happy early Halloween everybody! Let’s get on with the show! 😄
James Peters: To kick us off tonight, we’re going to show you footage of a scene that went down earlier today. The number one contender for the EAW World Championship and reigning Hardcore Champion, Charlie Marr, arrived to the building and went looking for the man that defeated him last week, Theron Nikolas. Let’s take a look at what happened.
[SCREEN BAR – EARLIER IN THE DAY]
(The camera cuts to the parking lot of Qudos Bank Arena, as a black Cadillac SUV pulls up. From the back, out steps Charlie Marr, bringing along his suitcase, and Hardcore Title, which he places on his shoulder. Marr’s sporting a sleeveless EAW shirt of his, and jeans. Obviously, having just arrived, and not scheduled for a match tonight. As he wheels the suitcase along, it’s clear Marr is in a bad mood, having lost to Theron Nikolas clean, and getting laid out by Minerva to close the show last week. Once getting deeper into the backstage area, Marr notices a group of stagehands talking off to his side, and gets their attention.)
Charlie Marr: Hey! Any of you seen Theron Nikolas around here?
Stagehands: No, sorry, man!
(Getting a collective no from the stagehands, Marr shakes his head briefly, and continues walking, looking around for Theron Nikolas. Once again, he finds another stagehand backstage, staring down at his phone, and Marr approaches him.)
Charlie Marr: Have you seen Theron Nikolas anywhere?
(It’s clear the stagehand isn’t paying too much attention to Charlie, too preoccupied with his phone.)
Stagehand: Uh, have I seen who?
(Growing irritated, Charlie snatches the phone out his hands, prompting the stagehand to look up.)
Stagehand: Hey, that’s my- o-oh. Hey, Charlie, I didn’t know it was you.
Charlie Marr: Spare me. I said, have you seen Theron Nikolas around here?
Stagehand: Y-Y-Yes, I think I saw him go into his locker room a few minutes ago.
Charlie Marr: “Thanks.”
(Charlie holds the phone out for him to grab, and when going to reach for it, Charlie drops the stagehand’s phone on the floor, causing him to drop to a knee, and check on it, seeing it broken. Meanwhile, Marr just continues on with his search for Theron, and a smirk forms on his face at seeing his locker room door. Marr stops wheeling the suitcase, and just marches to the door with his title, repeatedly banging on the door.)
???: Looking for someone?
(Marr stops knocking, and turns around to face the voice, which turns out to be Theron Nikolas, who comes face to face with Charlie. The two staring one another down, tension still in the air from their match last week, anger mostly held by Marr.)
Charlie Marr: Finally. I’ve been looking all over, about time you stopped hiding.
Theron Nikolas: Hiding? Believe me, I haven’t been hiding, but I’m not shocked you think that, given your delusion, which has plagued you for a while now.
Charlie Marr: Delusion? No, Theron, delusion is thinking you beat me last week. If anything, you got lucky.
Theron Nikolas: Lucky? We must have different definitions of the word, because I didn’t see Minerva interfere in our match last week. In fact, I didn’t see anyone interfere, but what I did see- matter of fact, what I remember is me blasting you across the head with my elbow. And if you come knocking on my door, or asking around, searching for me some more, I have no problem doing it again.
Charlie Marr: You think I’m scared of your empty threats? Fact is, you heard me. Last week, you got lucky, whether anyone interfered or not. The better man doesn’t always win, and you’re a living example of it.
(Theron rubs his forehead, growing frustrated with Charlie. Dealing with him was not on Theron’s bingo card for tonight.)
Theron Nikolas: Look. Wicked Games is coming up, and in case you haven’t noticed, I’ve already got a lot on my plate, having to deal with Samael, Michael, whatever he wants to call himself. I don’t have time to go back and forth with you, all because you can’t accept a single loss. I was the better man last week. Instead of focusing on me, maybe focus on Minerva. Ya know, your opponent for Wicked Games, although, that relies on you being smart.
(Charlie Marr chuckles to himself, slightly to the confusion of Theron.)
Charlie Marr: Focus on Minerva? I’ve already got Minerva’s title won. I’m focused on being a double champion, and how I’m gonna celebrate after Wicked Games.
Theron Nikolas: You’ve already got the title won? It didn’t look that way last week, because if my memory serves me correct, to close out the show, it was her standing over you.
(Charlie Marr gives an utter look of disdain, playing that moment back in his head.)
Charlie Marr: You’re right, she did lay me out to close the show last week. But just like you, she got lucky. Besides, it’s not about the battle, it’s about the war, and I will win ours at Wicked Games. Minerva can lay me out a thousand times before the show, doesn’t change the outcome that’s gonna happen, which’ll be me standing over her with my Hardcore Title, AND my EAW World Title hoisted in the air.
Theron Nikolas: And if that happens, good for you. I don’t care though. Now, if you’ll please get out of my way, I said I don’t have time to waste, and I meant it.
(Theron goes to walk in his locker room, but Charlie Marr blocks his path, which only frustrates Nikolas even more.)
Charlie Marr: Don’t walk away from me, I’m not done with you yet.
Theron Nikolas: Well, I’m done with you. It’s one loss, yet over it.
Charlie Marr: One loss?
(Charlie Marr cracks a smirk, almost amused by Theron calling it “one loss”.)
Charlie Marr: One loss? It’s one loss I shouldn’t even have on my record. I’m the biggest star on Voltage, and that’s a fact. Head and shoulders above the rest here, including you, so there’s a reason I’m bothered by that supposed “one loss”. Alright? It shouldn’t have happened plain and simple. Minerva may be my opponent, but don’t think she’s the only one I have a problem with.
Theron Nikolas: Noted, and as I said earlier, I don’t care. I’m not afraid of you, especially with the child-like behavior you got going right now. So, I’m gonna head into my locker room, and recommend you don’t get in my way aga-
(Charlie Marr suddenly headbutts Theron, cutting his speech off, and staggering Nikolas back slightly. From there, Charlie lightly tosses his Hardcore Title off to the side, and clubs down on Theron’s back, maintaining control in the fight before Nikolas double legs him to the floor, reigning down with punches to the face of Marr, who’s doing his best to cover up.)
(Charlie tries to get back to a vertical base, grabbing Theron in a front facelock as he does so, bringing him along with. Marr delivers shots to the rib cage, and goes to hook Nikolas up for The Queen is Dead, wanting to spike him head first with the double arm DDT on concrete, but Theron battles back, driving Marr back first into his locker room door, which budges slightly, but remains on his hinges. Still not free from the clutches of Marr, Theron drives him back first into the locker room door again. The door remains on its hinges, but budges once more.)
(Marr releases his hold on Nikolas, and drops to a knee, favoring his back while grimacing in pain. Theron crawls away from Marr slightly, creating separation while getting back to his feet. Charlie takes notice of this, and charges Theron, looking to take him down with a spear, but Nikolas holds his ground, grabbing Charlie in a front facelock, and clubbing him on the back while Marr lands shots to the rib cage. A knee to the midsection staggers Marr backward before he drops to a knee.)
(Theron goes after him, but walks right into a punch to the gut, doubling him over. Marr grabs the back of his head, and scores a hard right to the face. Theron spins around, and clutches his jaw while stumbling over to a production crate, falling to a knee while resting his arm on top of it. Charlie comes over, looking to inflict more damage on Theron, who reaches around Charlie’s back with one hand, and grabs him by the belt with the other for leverage, pulling him gut first into the crate.)
(Theron slams Charlie down onto the crate face first multiple times. Marr slumps down, and seats himself up against the production crate, looking almost out of it, having been slammed down so many times. Theron goes to walk away, declaring the fight finished after seeing Charlie’s state, but from behind, Marr gets a second wind, charging at Nikolas, and shoving him face first into a wall. Theron stumbles right into Marr for a snap version of The Queen is Dead. Theron lies sprawled on the concrete floor, and Charlie gets a knee, hovering over Nikolas, who’s completely out of it right now.)
Charlie Marr: Next time we go face to face, Theron, you won’t be so lucky.
???: Alright, that’s enough, Charlie!
(Officials rush in, and pull Charlie away from a downed Theron. Help is called for as the video footage fades out.)
(The shot returns to the broadcast booth.)
James Peters: We hope to catch up with Theron later on tonight, or at the very least make sure he’s alright to compete next weekend. Right now we have to head to break. Stick around folks. We’ll be right back.
(Sunday Night Voltage goes to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Frtios scoops and spinach dip! The combination is one of the many snacks Terry Cheeseburger likes to eat during football season!)
(Voltage opens up backstage where we see a large being roaming through the halls. It’s hard to pinpoint who this person is until he turns his head and reveals that he’s none other than Samael. This draws quite the confusion since Dr. Doyle has already expressed how he didn’t want Samael in action, and it was assumed that Samael would take the week off and not even be present for tonight’s Voltage episode due to his upcoming match against Theron Nikolas at Wicked Games being a week away. However, the monster is here tonight, and when we get a closer look, it doesn’t seem like the person that the camera is focused on is Samael. Actually, it’s one of his other personalities, Michael. We can tell this based on how he’s now skipping through the halls, and singing a childhood melody without a single care in the world.)
Michael: “F” is for friends who do stuff together! “U” is for you and me!!! “N” is for anywhere and anytime at all!! Down here in the deep blue sea!!!
(Michael immediately stops singing, then scratches his head.)
Michael: Hmmm.. Speaking of fun with friends.. Where’s Kylie?!?
(From here, Michael begins to search for his close friend, Kylie Grace. It has been quite some time since the two have interacted. Most of that is due to the fact that Kylie has been preparing herself for her upcoming number one contenders match at Wicked Games.)
Michael: Oh Kylie?!? Are you here?!
(Michael crouches down, and begins to look under the staff food table, but there’s no Kylie. He then walks past a row of lockers, and opens every single one with the hope of finding her, but unfortunately that isn’t the case. Michael then drops down to the ground, and sits up against the wall. He’s starting to look upset, as he can’t seem to find his friend.)
???: Michael?!
(Michael raises his head up after hearing his name, and immediately his eyes light up, as a smile forms on his face. There’s no question why he looks so excited, because the person calling his name was none other than Kylie Grace herself.)
Michael: KYLIE!!!!!
(Michael quickly bursts up to his feet and pumps his arms hard as he rushes towards Kylie Grace. From here, Michael has his arms extended out, and gives Kylie a huge hug! Kylie responds with a nice and warm hug of her own, as the two friends reunite for the first time in a few weeks.)
Michael: Kylie!! I learned some new fingerboard tricks!! Oh and I drew a dinosaur the other day! He has blue eyes and I named him Bingo!! Oh! Oh! And Mister Doyle said he’ll show me how to tie my shoes!!
Kylie Grace: That’s awesome!!! But are you sure that you’re supposed to be here? By yourself? I thought Dr. Doyle didn’t want you in the arena tonight.
(Kylie was happy to see Michael, but she understands the situation he’s in. With everything that’s gone on with Michael, Caine, Justin, and Samael, she knows that there is a major risk of some form of chaos unfolding with Michael wandering off backstage all by himself.)
Kylie Grace: Michael, I think you should go find Dr. Doyle. We can talk another time.
Michael: Okay..
(Suddenly, the bright smile that was just seen on Michael’s face turns into a disappointed and sad one. He doesn’t understand Kylie’s reasoning for cutting their reunion short, and takes her words as if she doesn’t want him there. Michael begins to pout, turns around, and begins to walk away. After a few steps, Kylie quietly says a few words to herself.)
Kylie Grace: Hmm.. Maybe that was a little mean. I didn’t want to hurt his feelings… MICHAEL!! COME BACK!!!
(Kylie tries to call Michael back, but he’s really far down the backstage hallway. He doesn’t hear her, and instead, he turns the corner. Instantly, Michael’s eyes widen after he walks by and gets a glimpse inside of the trainers room and sees none other than Theron Nikolas sitting on a medical bench while being checked on and treated by the medical trainer for a follow up from his encounter with Marr earlier in the night. Theron is unaware of Michael standing out in the hallway, as he continues to get treated. However, the sight of Theron Nikolas causes Michael to clench his fists, and eventually things start to seem different. A sudden growl can be heard, and it’s clear that the innocent child that we were following is no longer there. Instead, it’s Samael who has taken over the body, and he does not look happy.)
Rich Russillo: Oh no.. This does not look good at all!!! Samael!! What are you doing?!? HE RUSHES IN!!! BIG BOOT TO THERON’S FACE!!! SAMAEL JUST KNOCKED THERON OFF OF THE MEDICAL TABLE, AND NOW HE’S DOWN ON THE FLOOR!!!
Trainer: AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
James Peters: The trainer is screaming at the top of her lungs, and Samael turns to her… AND SHOVES HER OFF TO THE SIDE!!!! Samael now reaches over and grabs Theron by the head and hair! He brings him up to his feet… THEN BIEL TOSSES HIM RIGHT AGAINST THE WALL!!!!
Persephone: Theron is pinned against the wall, as Samael begins delivering monstrous right and left handed punches that land everywhere against Theron’s body!!! Nikolas tries to defend against them, but his body is still in horrible condition after his brawl with Charlie Marr, and the beating that Samael is giving him is proving to be too much!!!
Rich Russillo: Oh no.. Samael just grabbed a steel chair and folded it up!! He has it in both of his hands and.. HE CHUCKS IT RIGHT AT THERON’S FACE!!! AND NOW GHOST DROPS DOWN INTO A SEATED POSITION UP AGAINST THE WALL!!!
James Peters: This doesn’t look good for Theron, as Samael now stands over him and.. HE BEGINS STOMPING AWAY AT THE HEAD, BODY, AND ALL OF THE ABOVE WHILE THERON SITS AGAINST THE WALL!!! All Theron can do is try to cover himself against these brutal stomps, but even so, the damage is definitely being made!!!
(Suddenly, Kylie Grace walks by the trainers room, and sees what’s going on. She instantly runs inside and begins to yell out.)
Kylie Grace: MICHAEL!!! STOP!!! PLEASE STOP!!!!!
(Unfortunately, Samael doesn’t hear Kylie, as he is in the heat of the moment and continues his beat down on Theron! Kylie takes a step forward, as she’s about to take matters into her own hands, then hesitates. She remembers what Kenn Kenn told her about these situations with Samael, and how it’s best to leave them alone due to the risk she’s putting herself in by getting involved. She also remembers that she has a number one contenders match in just a week, and can’t afford to be seriously hurt beforehand. At this moment, Kylie turns around, exits the trainers room, and begins yelling out for help.)
Kylie Grace: HELP!! WE NEED SECURITY IN THE TRAINER’S ROOM!! HELP!! HELP!!!
Rich Russillo: BACK IN THE TRAINER’S ROOM… IT’S SAMAEL WITH THE MEDICAL TABLE!!! OH MY!!! HE HAS IT RAISES HIGH ABOVE HIS HEAD!!! THIS DOESN’T LOOK GOOD!!!
James Peters: NO NOT AT ALL!!!
Persephone: And he.. TOSSES THE MEDICAL TABLE RIGHT DOWN ONTO THERON’S BODY!!!! THERON FALLS FLAT TO THE GROUND, AS SAMAEL NOW GRABS THE TABLE, AND TOSSES IT OFF TO THE SIDE!!! THE GRIM REAPER THEN MOUNTS ON TOP OF THERON AND.. HE BEGINS DELIVERING POWERFUL PUNCHES LEFT AND RIGHT WITH NO SIGN OF STOPPING!!!!
Rich Russillo: LOOK!! THE HELP HAS ARRIVED!!
(We then see multiple security guards rushing into the trainer’s room. There are roughly about ten of them, as they immediately swarm the situation, and grab Samael! They attempt to pull him off of Theron, however, Samael is able to shove off two of them. The numbers game does play a role here though, as the remaining eight security guards manage to take Samael down. They have him pinned to the ground, and eventually they begin to pull Samael away and towards the door.)
Michael: OW!!! OW YOU’RE HURTING ME!!! OW!!! WHY ARE YOU HURTING ME!!!
(Samael has just reverted back to Michael, and this sudden response from Michael draws a lot of confusion for the security guards. Michael is crying and shedding numerous tears. This causes the guards to loosen their grip on Michael, and instead of pulling him out, they then begin to walk him out of the Trainer’s Room. As they exit, we can see Kylie Grace looking worried about the entire situation, as she stayed outside of the room while the guards took care of Samael. We then get a look inside of the trainer’s room once again where we see Theron Nikolas trying to get up to his hands and knees, but ultimately collapsing back down in tremendous pain. He’s clutching his ribs and his head, as he breathes heavily, and looks out towards the backstage hallway from the ground. Voltage eventually fades elsewhere.)
(The camera cuts to Sierra Everett backstage, of course, sporting ring gear ahead of her match, but also wearing her EAW t-shirt over it. Everett receives loud boos from the audience, who’ve grown to be quite annoyed with her since arriving on the scene. However, she pays no attention to this, staring down at her phone, and scrolling. Suddenly, Sofia Clarke walks into frame, looking for an interview.)
Sofia Clarke: Excuse me, Sierra! Sierra, I’m looking to get a word…
(Sierra pays Sofia no mind, continuing to stare at her phone.)
Sofia Clarke: …Sierra, if I could just have a moment of your time-
(Everett puts her finger up, signaling to Sofia that she has to wait, and continues staring at her phone momentarily before finally setting it to the side on a production crate.)
Sierra Everett: NOW you can have some of my time, but make it quick, I’ve got a match coming up. So, please, no stupid questions.
Sofia Clarke: Okay… I just wanted to get your thoughts on facing Hikari Kanno at Wicked Games.
(At hearing this, Sierra looks toward Sofia, giving her a look of utter disdain mixed with anger, clearly not happy about the decision one bit still.)
Sierra Everett: I said no stupid questions, but here you are, asking stupid questions right out the gate. You want my thoughts? My thoughts are that this is an injustice, possibly the greatest injustice in EAW history. Because at Wicked Games, I have to face Hikari Kanno, who, let’s not forget, is the same woman who injured me. And with that, I thought Captain Charisma would’ve learned, I thought Eden Sinclair would’ve learned, I thought every neckbeard who tunes into EAW would’ve learned, Hikari is too dangerous to be around. So dangerous, I’d say she doesn’t even belong in a wrestling ring.
Sofia Clarke: But-
Sierra Everett: No, buts. The woman is unstable, and if you can’t see that, I’m sorry, but you’re just blind, and probably another one of her simps. Now, it goes without saying that, as it stands, I’m the biggest star on Voltage right now, aka the brand’s hottest commodity, and I think it’s time Captain Charisma starts to value it, cherish it, and starts to protect it. Because as we saw a few weeks ago with Hikari’s reckless actions, it’s possible he could lose it.
(Sierra takes a deep breath, attempting to calm herself down.)
Sierra Everett: Sorry if I seem a little hot, but if you were placed in the same ring as someone who tried to take you out of action, or worse… end your career. Wouldn’t you be, Sofia?
Sofia Clarke: I- I guess.
Sierra Everett: Exactly.
Sofia Clarke: Well, Sierra, if I may ask, what do you think the case of action should be instead of a match at Wicked Games?
Sierra Everett: :Cmon: Sofia, right when I started to think you had some brains up there. I’m disappointed, because the answer is obvious at what should be done. Hikari? Instead of getting what she wants, that being a match with me, I mean, who doesn’t? And instead of getting main event matches with the WORLD CHAMPION, undeserved, might I add. I think the woman should be punished. I’m thinking… suspension, a firing, perhaps competing in a three-on-one handicap match, so she understands what it’s like to have her career endangered. Now, that’d be fun to watch. Keyword: watch. Like, from my couch, because if you ask me, for Wicked Games, I should be given the opportunity to sit back, and properly recover from my injuries. But tonight, I’m booked against SHOHEI, which’ll probably only exasperate them even more. Granted, a ninety percent Sierra Everett is better than the roster’s one-hundred, but I just think the entire situation is unfair.
(Sierra’s speech is cut off as she squints, seeing something, or someone off camera, making her grow even more annoyed.)
Sierra Everett: Oh, speaking of-
(SHOHEI walks into frame, standing on the opposite side of Sofia to Sierra, placing Clarke in between the two as she keeps the mic up for both of them to speak into. SHOHEI receives a huge pop for his intrusion, the crowd tired of hearing Sierra’s whining, and SHOHEI looks to share the same sentiment, looking quite unimpressed by his opponent for tonight. Meanwhile, Everett simply rolls her eyes at this intrusion from her opponent for tonight, honestly, not in the mood for anyone to pester her.)
SHOHEI: Ya know, if you keep up with the excuses long enough, someone might believe you.
Sierra Everett: I’m not even gonna entertain you by getting out of character. No one’s making excuses here, you idiot. I’m giving very valid reasons as to why I cannot, and should not face Hikari Kanno next week. I shouldn’t even be facing you tonight.
SHOHEI: Is that so?
Sierra Everett: Yeah, because what have you done here really besides beat Alex Matthews and Kenn Kenn, aka two relative unknowns.
SHOHEI: Well, last week, I did exactly as I promised, and beat Ronan Malosi, something you haven’t gotten around to yet.
(Sierra gives a glance toward Sofia briefly, giving a “tell me he didn’t just say that” look.)
Sierra Everett: Yeah, and you know why? Because of Diamond Dixon, a problem I easily dealt with at Territorial Invasion.
(Sierra smirks at SHOHEI, her arrogance bleeding back through, but SHOHEI remains unimpressed by it all.)
SHOHEI: Whatever you say. I’m not here to debate with you, I’d be here for hours if I did. But I’m here to give some advice.
Sierra Everett: Advice? What advice could you possibly offer me? :mjlol: I’m a better wrestler, and a better entertainer than you’ll ever be.
(SHOHEI keeps his composure, not even getting annoyed like many others who have encountered Sierra in the past, and continuing on with what he had to say previously.)
SHOHEI: Look, I get it, you’re just like Ronan, thinking the world revolves around you, thinking you have nothing to learn from anybody else, and thinking you’re already this established star. I’d love to say I’ll put your ego in check tonight, but you’ll probably go back to being the same Sierra Everett, regardless of the outcome. So, I’m probably wasting my time, and my breath, even offering you advice, but just a simple rule of thumb. Any self-respecting wrestler should look for any, and every chance to prove themselves instead of running away, and backing out of matches like you’re doing. If you’re serious about EAW, and if you’re serious about your career, I recommend you be glad at the opportunity given to compete at such a major event for the brand.
(The words go in and out the ears of Sierra Everett, as expected from SHOHEI, who gets a stare from Sierra, looking at him as if he’s dumb.)
Sierra Everett: THAT’S your major advice for me? Really? I mean, who’s running away from a fight? Who’s backing out of matches? Not me, because if I was, I wouldn’t be facing you tonight. I wouldn’t have my gear on, ready to EMBARRASS you tonight. I knew taking advice from you was a waste of time anyway, you have the personality of sandpaper, and a style I’ve seen one-thousand times in the ring. I shouldn’t be taking advice from you. You should be taking advice from me, and have no problem giving said advice right here, right now. Don’t ever, and I mean EVER interrupt one of my interviews again. Actually, the next time you see me in these halls, I recommend turning the other way.
(Sierra gets into SHOHEI’s face a bit, but he remains unintimidated by her threat.)
SHOHEI: So, it’s fine when you’re interrupting the interviews, but when I do it, then something’s wrong?
Sierra Everett: Uh, yes! At least I have something valuable to say, at least I’m not wasting people’s and TV time, spouting out whatever gibberish I can think of like the rest of everybody on this show, who- if we’re being honest, have no future. In fact, I’d say you fit right in on the Voltage roster, new guy. So, since it’s your first time, I’ll give you a pass for interrupting me, and not hurt you too bad out there. But that doesn’t mean I won’t make you regret this little intrusion! Because while you’ve faced Kenn Kenn, while you’ve faced Alex Matthews, while you’ve faced Ronan Malosi. You’ve never faced someone like me.
(Sierra grabs her phone off the crate, and storms off, made even more upset through this interaction with SHOHEI, who watches her as she walks off, and knocks stuff over off screen. SHOHEI shakes his head at the immature actions of Sierra, and turns to face Sofia.)
SHOHEI: Sierra has no idea the kind of fight I’m going to put up against her tonight.
(The crowd roars in anticipation, ready to see the match between those two as the camera zooms in on the determined face of SHOHEI before fading into a commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Kindle Deals, exclusively found on Amazon. With monthly, weekly, and daily deals, stock up your Kindle with new books to get through the long winter months!)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is scheduled for…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
( “Spaceship II” by Alex Wiley and Chance the Rapper hits to loud boos from the crowd. Sierra Everett comes out to the ring as the crowd boos heavily and hates on her the whole way down to her match. Sierra looks confident, but she doesn’t like what she sees when she gets to ringside, as she notices Hikari Kanno at ringside. )
Bella Braxton: Introducing first from Charlotte, North Carolina weighing in at 132 pounds she is “The Crown Jewel” SIERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRA EVERETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!
Persephone: We stan a queen. Everyone loves Sierra!
James Peters: Well that is audibly untrue. But I for one am looking forward to her match against Hikari Kanno at Wicked Games. Earlier we saw some stuff go down backstage and it is clear Sierra is in a bad mood.
Rich Russillo: She is upset but holding herself together. But she will definitely have a chance to take some aggression out in the ring here tonight. So that is good for her.
( Sierra gets in the ring before yelling at the referee. )
Sierra Everett: (off-mic) NO! She can’t be out here! Get her out right now!
Hikari Kanno: (off-mic) I just wanted to watch. Calm down.
Sierra Everett: (off-mic) Official! Security! Do something! Now!
( “Mayonaka No Door/Stay With Me” by Miki Matsubara hits to cheers from the crowd. SHOHEI makes his way out to the ring looking chill and serious as he is ready to take on tonight’s challenge. SHOHEI isn’t a fan of the way Sierra is acting, but he remains focused solely on the match ahead of him. )
Bella Braxton: And her opponent from Sendai, Japan weighing in at 195 pounds he is “The Spider” SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Earlier tonight we saw SHOHEI confront Sierra and he was saying he would bring all kinds of fight to her here tonight. Now he has the chance to back all of that up and we will see if he is capable of doing so.
Persephone: I don’t get why he has to get involved in her business. Leave Sierra alone!
James Peters: I mean he is her opponent this week. They have a match. It is literally his business as in it is literally his job.
Persephone: I don’t even know what you are talking about.
Sierra Everett: (off-mic) Please remove her. I am a bit unsettled by her being out here. I am restraining myself for now but it would probably be better if-
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: We are underway as Sierra Everett is visibly seething at the presence of Hikari Kanno here at ringside. It seems she is demanding that the referee eject her from ringside.
James Peters: I guess Sierra will not be getting her way here tonight! Hikari seems to think that is pretty funny as she begins laughing audibly at ringside. But SHOHEI appears ready to throw down as he approaches Sierra looking to lock up in the ring. Sierra shrugs realizing that she has no choice and begins to engage SHOHEI in the middle of the ring.
Rich Russillo: But Sierra Everett sidesteps the attempt at a lockup from SHOHEI. She smirks as SHOHEI nearly loses his balance and it looks like Everett is not interested in starting this match off in such a traditional way. Sierra sees the opening now as she charges in at SHOHEI and begins to light him up with repeated strikes to every part of the body just really going in.
James Peters: Sierra Everett trying to force SHOHEI to lose his balance as she begins to kick away at the legs and thighs of her opponent. SHOHEI tries to block the sudden onslaught from Sierra but she is determined to make each and every strike land on her opponent here tonight. But despite all of that SHOHEI is preserving and Sierra’s strikes really don’t seem to be doing much. SHOHEI is taking those strikes but those strikes are not effective! Everett can’t even begin to comprehend why nothing she is doing is working but she is just gonna keep on hitting him until it all works out in the end. But SHOHEI is smiling! It looks like he wasn’t impressed by that!
Rich Russillo: Sierra Everett slaps the taste out of the mouth of SHOHEI! Sierra bringing all that disrespect! And another slap from Sierra! No! SHOHEI raises his arm up and blocks the shot! Sierra is shaken as SHOHEI is finally fighting back! Her attack has been blocked and he has hold of her wrist! SHOHEI twists Sierra’s wrist around, and suddenly he yanks her arm and pulls her right into a devastating headbutt!
James Peters: SHOHEI just dazed Sierra nearly knocking her down and out with his headbutt but SHOHEI himself is unphased! SHOHEI showing incredible fortitude and durability being able to stay on his feet after that headbutt which should have hurt him as well. Sierra staggers back but SHOHEI continues to hold onto her arm not letting her fall over. He yanks her back in… SHOHEI WITH A HARD FOREARM TO THE SKULL OF SIERRA AS HE LETS GO OF HER ARM SENDING HER FLYING BACK OFF THE ROPES! SIERRA BOUNCES BACK OFF THE ROPES AS SHE COLLAPSES FACE FIRST RIGHT INTO A STUNNING SPINNING LARIAT FROM SHOHEI!
Rich Russillo: SHOHEI just dominating Sierra Everett out here so far and he is not done yet! SHOHEI mounts on top of Sierra and begins throwing repeated forearms to the face and he is just bashing her brains in and Sierra is helpless before this devastation! The referee forces SHOHEI off her before checking on Sierra but she shoves him away and gets back up to continue fighting! She must have that dog in her! But as soon as she gets back up SHOHEI begins to hammer on her with repeated elbow strikes bashing her head further. SHOHEI might just win this match entirely one sided.
James Peters: You may have spoken too soon! Sierra Everett fires off with a Spinning Forearm to the skull of SHOHEI and she manages to stagger him back a bit! The force there actually had an effect on SHOHEI! Sierra making some progress! You have to be inhuman to withstand that kind of force to your head. Which after all contains your brain within. Sierra runs off the ropes and connects with a Flying Clothesline to SHOHEI and she gets all of it! But somehow it isn’t enough to knock him down! SHOHEI picks Sierra back up and slaps her chest hard with an overhand chop! Sierra grimaces in pain from the impact of SHOHEI’s hand but no time to suffer as he quickly pulls her in into a Headlock. He is wrenching back her neck really pulling on that as he recovers with this early match rest hold. But he is making such a simple move look devastating somehow.
Rich Russillo: Sierra Everett shoves SHOHEI off of her sending him off the ropes. Sierra catches him as he returns… no! SHOHEI jumps up over Sierra landing behind her and takes her to Suplex City with a German Suplex, but Sierra gets back up right away! Apparently he is going to have to deliver to her further punishment now! Hikari Kanno is clearly enjoying the match so far.
James Peters: But Sierra Everett quickly kicks up at him! Sierra out of nowhere with that kick! Sierra runs in and drives her knee up hard into the gut of SHOHEI! Sierra has had enough and she hooks the arm of SHOHEI pulling him up into a Suplex! It connects! Sierra now with a cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-
Rich Russillo: KICKOUT BY SHOHEI! Sierra now slowly picking him up, AND SIERRA HITS SHOHEI WITH A HUGE FOREARM! AND ANOTHER! AND ANOTHER! SIERRA NOW WITH AN IRISH WHIP- BUT SHOHEI RESPONDS WITH A FOREARM SMASH OF HIS OWN!
James Peters: Sierra Everett uses the corner to get back up, and SHOHEI tries to go after her but Sierra holds onto SHOHEI and spins around throwing him into the corner instead! And now Sierra is lighting SHOHEI up with repeated strikes punches and kicks in the corner! Sierra managing to get right back to her same strategy from when this match started and she is making progress! You can see that her attacks are definitely beginning to impact SHOHEI a lot more here tonight as this match continues to wear on and fatigue continues to set in.
Rich Russillo: Suddenly SHOHEI falls down to one knee! Sierra Everett with a Running Knee Strike to the head knocking SHOHEI’s back of his head into the turnbuckle padding! Sierra then grabs the arms of SHOHEI and drags him back into the ring right into her knees as she yanks the arms as hard as she can in a torturous looking maneuver snapping him right back. SHOHEI collapses down to the mat as Sierra goes in to get that pinfall in with much swiftness.
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: SHOHEI gets the shoulder up! He powers out with authority tossing Sierra Everett off him but she is right back on the attack like a rabid dog. The momentum beginning to swing back around into Sierra’s favor, but surprisingly Hikari Kanno isn’t too bothered by it. SHOHEI is back up as Sierra rocks him backwards with a European Uppercut staggering him backwards against the ropes. But SHOHEI is still standing! He bounces off the ropes and charges in knocking Sierra down with a Clothesline straight out of hell! But Sierra immediately rolls back up from the Clothesline and charges in with a Rushing Forearm Strike! But SHOHEI fires back with a forearm of his own! And both of them trade blows back and forth looking to gain the advantage out here. SHOHEI! SIERRA! SHOHEI! SIERRA! SHOHEI! SIERRA! SIERRA! SIERRA! SIERRA! SIERRA!
Rich Russillo: It looks like Sierra Everett now is gaining the advantage and begins firing off rapidly with forearms to the skull before SHOHEI can even begin to respond! Sierra is absolutely delivering all kinds of blows repeatedly staggering SHOHEI back. He falls backwards against the ropes before coming back out towards Sierra who flips him off her into the air. Sierra catches SHOHEI with the Aphrodite’s Kiss!!! Sierra with that Rolling Cutter just straight up planting SHOHEI in the ring! Sierra to the cover and this match may come to a conclusion real quick here tonight!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
James Peters: It doesn’t happen tho! SHOHEI kicks out!!! Sierra Everett grabs SHOHEI and is looking to twist him into the Rope Hung Octopus Stretch! But SHOHEI manages to slip out of that one and charges at Sierra with a Running Bicycle Kick! She dodges it as SHOHEI nearly took out the referee there! But luckily our fine official is safe and sound! But SHOHEI turns right around into a Running Bicycle Kick this time from Sierra! SHOHEI just got his head kicked right off! Sierra slides right back to where she came from with yet another cover as she looks to wear down here tonight with repeated covers!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
Rich Russillo: Kickout this time from SHOHEI yet again! Sierra Everett has to be beginning to wonder just what it will take to put her opponent away! Hikari Kanno seems glad SHOHEI kicked out as well as she most definitely secretly hopes he will make a comeback and crush her rival here on Voltage. SHOHEI kicking out again and again. He is the monster stalking Sierra that just will not go away! Sierra is frustrated as she goes for yet another Rolling Cutter on SHOHEI!!! But he shoves her off him! SHOHEI shoves Sierra and she goes flying across the ring landing back first! Sierra back up as SHOHEI kicks her in the gut and grabs her arms spinning her around into a Killswitch! Sierra driven face first and this time it is SHOHEI going for the cover instead!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
James Peters: The kickout! Sierra Everett finds the will within to kick out! SHOHEI yanks her up but Sierra flips around twisting and grabbing the arm of SHOHEI! She yanks him down to the mat and locks her legs around his arm! A Cross Armbreaker has been applied in the middle of the ring! She is yanking on that arm trying to rip it out of the socket! SHOHEI is going to have no choice but to tap out here tonight! This could be the end for SHOHEI as Sierra is looking to win this match by submission! SHOHEI desperately trying to get closer to the ropes to free himself but Sierra just keeps wrenching on the arm as he screams out in pain and suffering! Can he make it?!?!?!?!
Rich Russillo: He does somehow! He manages to make it to the ropes and grabs the rope right in front of where Hikari Kanno is seen! SHOHEI rolls to the corner and he is favoring his arm as Sierra come flying in with a Corner Senton crushing SHOHEI into dust! No! SHOHEI moves out of the way and Sierra crashes and burns going back first into the corner!
James Peters: SHOHEI grabs Sierra Everett by the hair and yanks her back up before grabbing her from behind and pulling her down into a Rear Naked Choke! SHOHEI is choking and strangling the life out of Sierra in the middle of the ring! Now it is her turn to see if she will tap out! Or can she do what SHOHEI did and find a way to make it to the ring ropes?!?!?
Rich Russillo: Hikari Kanno has a smirk on her face watching this as Sierra can see her very clearly, adding further suffering to Sierra Everett in the ring as she has to deal with a lot of trauma at the moment! But she isn’t tapping! Sierra refusing to hold onto and grasp that L firmly in her hands!
James Peters: SOMEHOW SOMEWAY!!! Sierra Everett makes it to the bottom rope and breaks the hold! Sierra just lived to fight another day! Both Elitists slowly get back up, AND THEY BOTH HAD THE SAME IDEA AS THEY CONNECT WITH FOREARM SHOTS AT THE SAME TIME! SHOHEI DROPS DOWN AFTER THE FORCE OF THAT SHOT, MEANWHILE SIERRA GRABS ONTO THE ROPES!! Sierra trying to approach SHOHEI- but I think she’s worn herself out far more than she thought as she suddenly drops to a knee! Sierra just lost her footing!
(Sierra pushes herself back to her feet, before turning towards Hikari Kanno.)
Hikari Kanno: (off-mic) You’re sure struggling. You can barely stand.
Sierra Everett: (off-mic) What? No, no that was you wasn’t it?? I’m fine, you just tripped me!
Rich Russillo: Hikari Kanno is looking confused. I didn’t see anything I don’t think Hikari grabbed her leg or anything. Can we get a replay on that?
Referee: I don’t think she got involved, please don’t exit the ring
Sierra Everett: (off-mic) No, I can’t do this. If you’re not going to remove her I’ll do it myself, because I TOLD YOU that she’d throw me off!
(Sierra turns to Hikari, but before Sierra could reach through the ropes, SHOHEI attacks.)
James Peters: Buzzsaw Kick to the back of Sierra Everett’s head! SHOHEI WITH THE YARE YARE DAZE!!! He got all of it! And now the cover!!!
Referee: ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!
( “Mayonaka No Door/Stay With Me” by Miki Matsubara hits to cheers from the crowd but SHOHEI appears somewhat reluctant to have his arm raised in victory as the replay of what happened airs on screen.)
James Peters: Well we know that SHOHEI is a very honorable man. I don’t think he wanted to win this way. Of course he didn’t actually do anything wrong. Sierra got distracted by Hikari and let her guard down. So she was really asking for it I guess.
Persephone: Hikari Kanno shouldn’t have even been out here in the first place! I mean supposedly she didn’t even interfere. But her even being at ringside should count as interference. It is clear Sierra couldn’t really focus on the match.
Rich Russillo: Well it is clear from the look on the recovering Sierra’s face she is not happy with this result either. I think that there just may be hell to pay for Hikari Kanno come Wicked Games. These two are going to throw down and will Sierra be more successful there than she was tonight? Tune in and find out!
(Hikari stands up from where she’s seated, shaking her head and beginning to take her leave. She’s seen all she needs to see, and she leaves a distraught Sierra inside the ring over what just happened.)
James Peters: OH! I THINK SIERRA HAS HAD ENOUGH! SHE JUST SLID OUT OF THE RING AND LUNGED HERSELF TOWARD HIKARI! AND NOW THE TWO OF THEM HAVE ENGAGED IN A BRAWL! THIS HAS BOILED OVER TO THE MAX AND BOTH OF THESE ELITISTS HAVE JUST BEEN WAITING TO GET THEIR HANDS ON ONE ANOTHER AS SEEN RIGHT NOW!
Rich Russillo: SIERRA’S RAGE INDUCED ATTACK IS GETTING THE BETTER OF HIKARI WHO GOT TAKEN BY SURPRISE COURTESY OF THE WHOLE ORDEAL! SIERRA HAS BEEN COWERING AWAY FROM HER FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS SO IT MUST COME AS SOME SURPRISE THAT SHE’S FIRING BACK NOW AND SHE’S FIRING BACK RIGHT NOW-
(CRACK!)
Persephone: :comeagain:!!! Is that a leather strap???
James Peters: THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT IT IS! HIKARI JUST TOOK A STRAP OUT FROM OUT OF NOWHERE AND IS VIOLENTLY BEATING AWAY AT SIERRA! SIERRA IS BLOCKING AND TRYING HER BEST TO FIGHT BACK, BUT ULTIMATELY SHE’S FORCED TO RETREAT!
(Sierra stumbles backward in pure shock while Hikari with a smirk on her face gets a microphone from the timekeeper’s area and looks toward Sierra.)
Hikari Kanno: Didn’t know you had it in you, Sierra. But thanks for that, because you just reminded me to tell you something. I spun the wheel earlier… I’ll see you at Wicked Games in a STRAP MATCH.
(Hikari slams her microphone down to the ground while Sierra looks absolutely irate backpedaling up the ramp. ‘As Long As I Love’ begins to play up while the crowd goes absolutely berserk at this match announcement. Hikari raises the strap up as it’s the last shot seen before Voltage fades to a commercial break.)
(Voltage fades into a promotional ad for the upcoming event, Wicked Games. See Usagi Senshi, ARIA, and Ayu Megumi battle it out for a spot in the Specialists Chamber with Candice Blair as the special guest referee!)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades back into a pan around of the Qudos Bank Arena, with the crowd tonight being met with the theme of ‘Demeanor (ft. Dua Lipa)’ by Pop Smoke, which blasts through the speakers to the sounds of loud boos which follow. The camera then goes over to the stage to reveal the Specialists Champion Serenity Valdez making her way out from the backstage area, being flanked by Sierra Bradford and Mei Sasaki. The three of them stand united, with Serenity looking confidently around while adjusting her Championship meanwhile Sierra and Mei are stone-faced looking ready for business. Before long the trio then begin to make their way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… the team of SIERRA BRADFORD, MEI SASAKI, AND THE EAW SPECIALISTS CHAMPION SERENITY VALDEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Well it’s certainly a pleasant surprise to see this newly formed group of females show up from the Friday Night Dynasty brand, but it’s justified considering the circumstances. At Wicked Games next week there are going to be two Specialists Chamber contendership matches between six competitors, with only two coming out with the victory to qualify for the Road To Redemption match type. Of course, Serenity being the Champion naturally is the first confirmed person in the match, and she looks to send a warning to those who stand in her way tonight.
James Peters: Serenity isn’t new to the Voltage brand, having defended the Championship that she holds now against the Ice Aces’ Ayu Megumi during the build to Territorial Invasion. After that I 100% bet she walks in with the confidence of knowing that, and thus forth I don’t think she looks at the competition on this brand very highly. Being a sucker for brand supremacy, I hope she’s proven wrong 😌; but nonetheless, it’ll be interesting to see what develops tonight.
Persephone: Wow! I just love seeing these three on Voltage! Two people who have shown absolutely astounding work on this brand before and a person I don’t even know but who is sure to be interesting herself! I just adore the additional company to an already PACKED brand and can’t wait to hear what they have to say tonight as well! WOO HOO! LET’S GO VOLTAGE!
(Serenity makes her way up the steel steps while Sierra and Mei jump onto the apron and enter the ring in unison. The three of them then make their way over to the center of the ring, with Serenity having already snatched a microphone for herself. ‘Demeanor (ft. Dua Lipa)’ then begins to come to a close from there, and with the crowd booing louder than ever, Serenity brings her microphone up to her mouth and begins to speak.)
Serenity Valdez: Please, save your applause! I get Voltage hasn’t seen talented Elitists since… the last time I was here! But I politely ask that you shut up so I can speak!
(The crowd boos even louder while a smirk begins to creep up on the face of Serenity, knowing that she’s getting under their skin right now barely even saying anything.)
Serenity Valdez: I didn’t want to come here tonight and give a certain group of Elitists some attention they don’t deserve, I already do enough of that whenever I defend my Championship. But unfortunately, that’s the case today, and I have to shed some light on six people who find themselves in a very unfortunate situation. The issue of Milli Banks is one that still needs to be handled, and will be when Mei beats her next week and ruins her chances at any sort of rematch for my Championship. But that doesn’t mean I’m just going to forget about the impending issue and that’s the match itself, which is the Specialists Chamber at Road To Redemption, which is going to have four other people including myself and Mei. Now, I don’t mean to toot my horn when I say it, but I have experience in matches like those. Yes, in case you forgot, at the very start of my career, I showed my first spark of brilliance when I stepped into the Universal Women’s Championship Chamber. While I, unfortunately, was defeated, I was a standout and my rise to stardom was inevitable. Lo and behold, here I am. Here WE are, with two other Elitists that complement my abilities with their own in so many ways, and we’re here to dominate and be the stars that we know we are! No competition, none whatsoever.
Serenity Valdez: That means yes, not even the potential competition that is also going to be added into the Chamber over the next couple of weeks. Now, what piqued my interest, and is of course the reason that I’m out here tonight, which is what’s going to be happening next week. At Wicked Games there are two triple threat matches that are going to determine who the next two participants in the Chamber are going to be, consisting of… well, I don’t know, they’re just a bunch of nobodies. I know the Ice Aces, but quite frankly I don’t like the Ice Aces, and I love to see them implode in a match like the one that they’re having next week. Though Candice Blair as referee…? Eh… just tell me the result and I can live without seeing whatever’s in between. Well, how about the other one? Hmm… maybe not that either. I don’t even know a Halsey, or a Haruka, or heaven forbid a Kylie. Just irrelevance after irrelevance after irrelevance, and you’d think at the level that I’m at as an Elitist they’d consider some tougher competition for me to actually give me a run for my money. But no, apparently not, instead we’re going to subject Serenity to the same torture she’s already had to go through on Dynasty, horrible.
Serenity Valdez: When I think of my Championship and big-time competition, I CERTAINLY don’t think about any of those sheep. And sure, while the two best out of the six are going to move on to face me, that’s not much of a low bar to surpass considering the level of competition they’re going to be facing to get there. Contrary to what people believe, I don’t think that the Chamber is going to be the ultimate test of my skills, and most definitely not the toughest challenge that I’ve had yet. No, the Chamber will quite literally be a mauling for everyone involved, and all I ask is for some better competition. I get if I’m not going to get that this time around at Road To Redemption, but I hope at the very least that match serves as a reminder either way to the potential challengers that are going to end up making a mistake going after my Championship later on. Let’s look toward the future though and see what’s going to happen next year when my defense is over with. 2023 I’m looking to do more, I’m looking to accomplish more, and I’m looking to become more. One way or another I will establish myself as a threat so these pitiful defenses that I’m happening won’t continue in the future. But regardless no matter who decides to fight that losing fight, I am going to make sure that I take no prisoners when you have the pleasure of seeing me back in the ring again that’s for sure-
(Before Serenity could finish what she was saying, ‘Seek and Destroy’ by Metallica is heard playing up with boos accompanying it as well. The camera goes from an annoyed Serenity, Sierra, and Mei at this interruption to the stage where Halsey Neel is seen making her way out with a scowl present on her face. It’s clear that she’s unhappy about what has been said toward her and looks to respond while she has the chance. ‘Seek and Destroy’ begins to come to a close while Halsey flips the microphone that she has in her hand before bringing it up to her mouth, slowly making her way down the ramp and toward the ring while she does so.)
Halsey Neel: If there was someone that needed to be shut up, it’s you Serenity. I think it’s safe to say that we’ve heard enough from you for the rest of your career, and if nobody is going to call you out for it, then I’ll gladly do so myself.
(Halsey steps up onto the apron and enters the ring, staring down Serenity. The Specialists Champion looks toward Sierra and Mei, indicating that she had backup which clearly does not faze Halsey in the slightest.)
Serenity Valdez: I’m so scared. 🙄
Halsey Neel: You don’t need to be scared, but you certainly have to prepare yourself mentally and physically for what’s going to happen after I win at Wicked Games next week. Because while I may agree the rest of the competition isn’t up to par, I sure hope you didn’t mean to include me in that conversation. Because you’re not just going to be facing anyone when you’re across the ring from me, no, you’re going to be facing the Ripper, and that’s not just a name for show. I’m going to absolutely tear you apart, and make sure that I leave with what I want when I want it. That means your Specialists Championship, and I take zero issues in having to get through you in order to do it. Wake up and smell the roses, Serenity, you wanted the best competition possible? You’re going to get that when you’re across the ring with Halsey Neel, and she’s going to give you a run for your money more than anyone else you can name in this company. In my eyes, you want challengers, and now you’re going to face your biggest one yet.
(Serenity rolls her eyes upon hearing that, shaking her head in disappointment before looking to respond… but before she could, ‘W-B-X ~W-Boiled Extreme~ (ft. TAKUYA)’ by Aya Kamiki hits the speakers. Serenity gives an audible groan out of annoyance with Haruka Kashimashi immediately bursting out from the backstage area. She has a microphone in hand as she begins to make her way down the ramp and toward the ring. ‘W-B-X ~W-Boiled Extreme~ (ft. TAKUYA)’ quickly fades out as Haruka slides into the ring and immediately meets Halsey face to face, making the problems that they already had more apparent than they already were. Haruka breaks her gaze though, turning to look at Serenity with Sierra and Mei beginning to step forward seeing the ring beginning to get even more crowded than before. Haruka, with a microphone in her hand, begins to speak to Halsey and Serenity.)
Haruka Kashimashi: I came out here for the same reason as Halsey, albeit with a stronger case, and that was that I simply do not appreciate the disrespect on my name. I know, I may not seem like an impressionable face, but I don’t blame you for immediately counting me out before I could say anything. But there is nobody in any of these matches that have worked as hard as I have for as long as I have now in EAW. For so long now I’ve walked into the ring, no matter the opponent, having to prove myself. While there have been roadblocks along the way, every week I get one step closer to that and I feel Wicked Games next week is the point where I break out. I don’t care what Halsey has to say, I definitely don’t care what you have to say, Serenity; this is my time, and I believe that I have what it takes to win not only that triple threat match but at Road To Redemption as well in the Specialists Chamber.
(Serenity raises an eyebrow while Halsey leans in the corner, unimpressed by all of this. Haruka is unrelenting, refusing to back down and that causes Serenity to once again roll her eyes. She brings her microphone up, pausing for a moment to make sure there are no interruptions, before beginning to speak… only for ‘Unbreakable’ by Fireflight to be heard following that! The camera goes over to show an energetic Kylie Grace making her way out, as she has a smile on her face looking around the arena while the crowd shows their support for her in the process. She looks toward the ring, greeted by the five people already inside, as her face turns serious, pretty unhappy about what happened the previous week, as she makes her way down the ramp and toward the ring. She slides inside and meets everyone, while ‘Unbreakable’ begins to come to a close before Kylie brings her microphone up and begins to speak.)
Kylie Grace: Sorry to have to be the one to interrupt you, Serenity, but with everyone else out here I had to join in, didn’t I? Wicked Games is a huge night for me, and especially considering how far I’ve gone this is undoubtedly the biggest match that I’ve had yet. I’ve done everything to make sure that I’m the one that wins, but unfortunately, that hasn’t been met without some adversity. I want to look at my opponents and say that we’re going to have a great match with one another, and give them the respect that they deserve; but I can only say that for one person because just like Haruka, Halsey Neel is someone I can’t find it in my heart to respect after everything that she’s done. This is why I’m especially driven heading into next week because I look to shut her up and show why her words don’t affect me and they shouldn’t affect anyone. You’re nothing more than a bully, Halsey, and you deserve everything that’s coming to you.
Halsey Neel: Really? You have “THE” Specialists Champion right here, and suddenly I’m the target? That really shows where your priorities lie, getting revenge on me just because of some little comments. I didn’t expect the two of you to be this soft, but here we are. If you think I see either of you as some sort of threat then you’re absolutely mistaken, you shouldn’t be wasting your time trying to convince people of something they’re not going to believe.
Haruka Kashimashi: I could say the same for you, Halsey. You’re not as good as you say you are either and if you don’t realize it, then you’re going to be in for one big surprise when we face each other in that triple threat. I promised that I would become the Specialists Champion and I’m not going to fall short of that promise just like all the other times before that, I am going to succeed and I am going to get past you and beat you. You had this coming to you from the day you started causing trouble toward me, and I don’t care if you want to call it petty or not, I am going to get my revenge, especially after what you did last week.
Halsey Neel: If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. I don’t know what’s suddenly making you believe that you can handle what I’m going to bring to the table, but it didn’t work last time for you and it definitely won’t this time around, you haven’t shown anything to prove why it’s going to change anyway.
Kylie Grace: Count Haruka out all you want, but I know you know better than to count me out. I could say the same for you when I got the better of you the last time we were in the ring with one another, and I’ll be happy to do the same to you. It’s like Haruka said, after what you did last week starting that brawl, I’m not going to let you run free thinking that you can leave this sort of situation without any sort of consequences. If there’s one thing I fully intend to do, is make sure that you don’t win and even have the slightest chance of having the Specialists Championship in your possession.
(Sooner rather than later, the chatter starts to become foggy between the three Wicked Games opponents as it dissolves into an explosive argument. The three of them speak back and forth with one another at the same time, making it hard to hear what they’re saying. Meanwhile, the Dynasty trio is standing by, with Serenity at her absolute wit’s end right now. Ultimately, she steps forward and begins to shout.)
Serenity Valdez: CAN THE THREE OF YOU SHUT THE HECK UP?!
(The argument begins to die down while Serenity scrunches her face momentarily before continuing to speak toward the three of them once again.)
Serenity Valdez: It doesn’t help that all THREE OF YOU decided to come out here and interrupt me, trying to take up time that I don’t have out of my important schedule showing up to this stupid brand. I’m not going to be here for this pointless argument, and if you’re really adamant about proving yourselves, then you’re going to have to do that on your own time… not when the Champ is in your presence, who doesn’t have the time, or quite frankly the patience, for this. Regardless, I’ll tell you all right now, it’s all going to end the same way no matter which one of you wins. At some point, you’re going to have to come to terms with the fact that no matter who’s going to be facing me out of you three, though I’d rather it be none of you, I’m going to still be your Specialists Champion once Road To Redemption is over with. Despite that, I will say that I find myself quite interested in the festivities later in the night. Who knows, you three might have the chance to see me again, the three of us might just stick around for the tag match later in the night. But if there’s one thing I can say for certain, I am definitely NOT going to stick around for this. Let’s go.
(Serenity slams her microphone down to the ground and begins to take her leave alongside Sierra and Mei while ‘Demeanor (ft. Dua Lipa)’ begins to blast through the speakers of the arena. The trio leaves while Halsey, Haruka, and Kylie have stopped their disagreements to watch them take their leave, with all of them visually angered by the cold shoulder that the Specialists Champion just gave them. The scene is the last shot seen before Sunday Night Voltage ultimately begins to fade out elsewhere from there.)
(The next shot is of Molly Waters sitting in a chair and fixing up the microphone on her. She was ready to interview and get the chance to check in with Usagi Senshi via satellite. By Eden Sinclair’s orders, Usagi was forced to go through anger management and sensitivity training, and she didn’t leave the happiest person in the world as she was escorted out of the building by security. Either way, Molly was positive the interview would go well as she waited for a few seconds for the satellite feed to connect. After a moment, Usagi Senshi appeared. She tried her best to let out a gentle smile as she was now on air, being on the other side of the world in New Jersey at her house.)
Molly Waters: Hey there Usagi, it is good to see you! How are you doing?
Usagi Senshi: Hello Molly, it is a pleasure to see you as well. As for my answer to that question…I guess you could say I have been better in other instances, but I am mostly fine, thank you for asking.
Molly Waters: I am glad to hear that. Now the reason for doing this interview is very clear, it is to ask you-…uhhhh, what is that?
(Molly pointed over in a confused manner as she saw on the corner in Usagi’s room a pile of stress relief toys all broken into pieces obviously in a fit of rage.)
Usagi Senshi: What is what- OH!
(Usagi quickly pulls away the camera for a moment. The feed cuts for a few seconds before it returns back to normal and Usagi is sat back once again in front of the camera with a very fake happy grin, the pile of stress relief toys gone.)
Usagi Senshi: Very sorry you had to see that. I think that already answered the question you wanted to ask.
Molly Waters: Well…I still want to hear it from your own words. Aside from what we saw, how do you believe your anger management has gone?
(Usagi can only let out a sigh in response.)
Usagi Senshi: That whole thing with the stress relief toys was just the first day of the week, so progress has been made since that. At first, my main motivation was being told by my sensitivity training teacher that if I did excellent, I would be able to see Pandy the Panda once again. For context Pandy is a mascot ARIA hired for my birthday party and as a panda lover, I knew I had to protect him with my life. Sadly, we lost him in the “Ball Pit Accident”.
Molly Waters: The…Ball Pit Accident?
Usagi Senshi: …You wouldn’t want to know what happened. What’s worse is as a reward for behaving for…an hour, I got to talk to him for 5 minutes and it wasn’t even the real Pandy :francis:! It was an impersonator trying to be him! He had a Disney logo stitched on his body and he kept calling himself Po the Panda, and I am pretty sure that character isn’t even from Disney! I knew I had to set things straight!
Molly Waters: What did you do then?
Usagi Senshi: I kicked him right in the face and broke more stress relief toys in retaliation.
Molly Waters: …Oh! :roman:
Usagi Senshi: That was only the second day so luckily things actually got better. All in all, I’m still pretty unhappy about having to go through all of this. I mean, I really haven’t learned anything that is useless. I didn’t go through anything outright bad, aside from being tricked into meeting fake Pandy the Panda, and I guess I admit there are…sometimes my anger goes out of control, but the last time I had a good reason for letting it out. The only reason I am still feeling unhappy is because I am only doing this under duress. I was basically forced to do this even though all of my actions have been justified. I wasn’t going to let someone else drag my name through the mud. I am not the kind of person to just sit there and take it without saying anything, that is why I rushed over to take the situation into my own hands…and now I am back in New Jersey all alone. It’s annoying and very frustrating.
Usagi Senshi: It…kills me as well having to be away from Ayu and Aria, all that distance away without being able to be there to support them physically, not being able to help them out, especially during this whole mess with Eden Sinclair. I know what they will try to do. I know that Eden and Candice Blair will be walking around with all that power that they don’t deserve and doing whatever they want. They are only punishing me because they know what kind of threat I am and they know what I would do if I had the chance to get my hands on them and give them what they deserve. I am tired of having to continue being manipulated, being taken advantage of, being forced to fight my friends in a sick twisted game that only someone like Eden Sinclair would enjoy. I guess there is a bright side to this whole situation. My program will be completed before Wicked Games so I plan to compete.
Molly Waters: That is some amazing news for everyone who supports the Ice Aces. But if you don’t mind me asking, do you feel okay having to face your teammates in a match?
(A small worried expression appears on Usagi’s face as she of course shakes her head in denial.)
Usagi Senshi: Is it okay having to face my teammates in a match? No, it is obviously not. I feel uncomfortable being forced into a fight that I didn’t even want to take part in in the first place and I still don’t want to go through with it after all this time. There’s obviously nothing okay about this entire situation. This is just another ploy of Eden’s to split us up, to break our friendship and make us turn on each other, but Eden is going to continue failing at this. She clearly doesn’t believe us when we say we have pushed through every obstacle that comes our way. We beat a few and we fell down on others but we continued fighting because no matter what happens, the Ice Aces are Forever Alive. Forever Alive because of the bond that we have between each other. An unbreakable bond that no matter what happens to it, it will continue to stay alive for as long as it wants, for as long as we want. Eden is just trying to make our lives a living hell. She brought Candice into it to torment me, ARIA and Ayu. She made her a special referee so she is confident enough to be in full control of the match, and she put me, Ayu and ARIA against each other thinking we would tear each other apart because of an opportunity like that, and as I have said various times and shown you all, it is the stupidest decision she could have made.
Usagi Senshi: I assure you, we can face one another fairly without a problem and we will prove that inside of the ring. We have known each other for various years now and we have reached the point that we aren’t letting a wrestling match tear us apart so easily. We know what is happening, we know what we are doing, and I assure you that at Wicked Games you will see one of the best matches out of us three because we always give it our all to win a match, no matter the falls or the damage. The best woman will win and we will get out of there still being the Ice Aces, that is all. But the real problem will be Candice Blair being the referee in our match. I am not stupid. I wasn’t born yesterday. I know Candice will do something to try and mess with us even more. She has pulled out all the stops to get rid of me and insult my own image, and I will make sure all that Candice did to me is thrown back to her. The only thing that bothers me is that with everything they have tried I am not sure just yet what Candice has planned but I plan to prepare myself for the worst. If Candice was smart, she would think twice about getting involved with this match.
Molly Waters: Interesting words from Usage Senshi! Well, I am happy you will be able to come back in time just for Wicked Games! All my questions have been answered but do you have any last words to say?
Usagi Senshi: …You know what? No, not this time. I think I will let my actions speak for myself this time. Thank you for the interview Molly.
Molly Waters: Thank you as well for taking it! See you at Wicked Games, Usagi!
(Molly and Usagi wave goodbye at each other before the broadcast ends and the interview is over.)
(Voltage fades to commercial break.)
(Commercial break for California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas. Xander Payne was supposed to star in this ad, but when he found out it was for gluten free pies and cauliflower crusts, he promptly breached his contract and decided to do ads for Pizza Hut instead.)
(As Voltage returns, ‘Rhapsody in Pink’ by Stela Cole begins to play through the speakers as the crowd has nothing, but mixed reactions to ‘The Face of Disney’ Candice Blair, who poses on top of the ramp. Then, she gestures behind her where a bunch of security is helping out with the Wicked Games roulette wheel before all of them make their way down to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN…PLEASE WELCOME AT THIS TIME… ‘THE FACE OF DISNEY’…CANDICE BLAIR!!!!!!!!
James Peters: As Candice Blair announced two weeks ago, she will be the special guest referee in The Ice Aces triple-threat match at Wicked Games. And, by the looks of the wheel behind her, it seems like we’re going to figure out the stipulation for that match-up!
Rich Russillo: Since returning, it seems like Candice Blair has created three enemies among the members of The Ice Aces. Candice has made her target of taking care of the “violent and abusive” Usagi Senshi, who is back in the United States for some anger management and sensitivity training.
Persephone: It’s so nice of Candice Blair to be looking out for Ayu Megumi like that! It does not make things annoying whatsoever! 😀
James Peters: I would hope that Candice Blair would elaborate more on the situation along with finding out the stipulation for the triple-threat match.
(‘Rhapsody in Pink’ fades with Candice Blair standing in the middle of the ring, taking in the negative reception of the crowd.)
Candice Blair: Omg, can all of you feel the excitement in the air? 😁
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Candice Blair: It seems like you’re all excited and I feel that energy! I also felt like Vanna White on Wheel of Fortune when I touched that roulette wheel for the first time. I knew that I had to come out in the best evening gown that I owned. This one made me feel a bit like Rapunzel too. 😌
(Candice Blair twirls around in her Rapunzel-inspired bodice mesh gown totally feeling like a princess at the moment.)
Candice Blair: I may be switching this gorgeous gown for a black and white striped referee shirt next week, but I will make sure to give all of you lovely faces the best Disney representation that you all deserve. At the end of the day, it’s about Disney and EAW coming together and making this partnership work, so it was truly an honor that Eden Sinclair entrusted me with being the special guest referee in this match. Now, this looks like a difficult task to keep three wonderful and talented women like The Ice Aces in check, but there are quite a few alarming aspects in the match that have me concerned. With Usagi Senshi back in the United States, I am presented with the opportunity to talk to ARIA and Ayu Megumi and hopefully, they are able to see where I’m coming from, so ARIA, Ayu, please come out.
(‘Pinky! Pinky! by the Idol Formally Known As LADYBABY begins to play through the speakers. The members of the EAW Universe in Sydney, Australia rise to their feet as two-thirds of The Ice Aces — ARIA and Ayu Megumi come out. ARIA looks like she’s more than ready to get this whole entire situation over with. Meanwhile, Ayu looks a little calmer, but upset at the fact that Candice Blair is one of the reasons why Usagi got sent back to the United States.)
James Peters: Oh boy, I’m not sure about The Ice Aces being out here. Candice Blair trying to reason with them, but it seems like The Ices Aces are in no mood for discussion tonight.
Rich Russillo: Can you blame them? Usagi Senshi is back in the United States thanks to Candice Blair. Since returning, Candice Blair has done whatever she can to make things difficult for The Ice Aces and Candice is expecting them to go easy on her.
Persephone: Candice Blair was being a good representative and doing what is best for Voltage. Sadly, The Ice Aces don’t see that. 😞
(The entrance music of The Ice Aces dies down as Ayu Megumi and ARIA stand across the ring from Candice Blair. In between these women, the Wicked Games Roulette Wheel has determined the fate of a couple of matches within the past two weeks.)
Candice Blair: Now, before I spin this pretty wheel, I figured that I should take this opportunity to talk to you about the big elephant in the room — or not in the room.
(Obviously, Candice Blair is referring to the lack of Usagi Senshi inside the ring.)
Candice Blair: I know that you’re angry and upset about the decision that was made to send Usagi back to the United States to take some anger management and sensitivity training courses, but I was looking out for your guys’ best interest.
(The Ice Aces aren’t buying it, but Candice Blair continues.)
Candice Blair: I tried to go further with my explanation last week, but I felt uncomfortable saying it with Usagi in the same room. All I could see when I looked into her eyes was that she was angry. She was ready to attack and if it wasn’t going to be me, it was to be you, ARIA, or you, Ayu. Look, I don’t want to beat around the bush about it because I’ve never been afraid of speaking my mind and having my voice be heard. I’ve thought of multiple ways to say this without the two of you feeling hurt or having Ayu cry because no one wants to see Ayu cry. 😔
Candice Blair: So, rather than lie to you, ladies, because you don’t deserve that I am going to be blunt — Usagi is horrible.
(The crowd begins to boo at the statement, but Candice Blair pays them no attention as she continues to drive her point.)
Candice Blair: Usagi Senshi is horrible. She’s violent, stubborn, and doesn’t listen. I’m not a relationship expert, but those three traits are giant red flags. With those types of unpredictable qualities, it confuses me why the two of you would trust someone like Usagi. Make it make sense, besties because none of this makes sense.
ARIA: Are we STILL on this whole “Usagi is violent” argument? Really, Candice?
Candice Blair: This isn’t an argument, ARIA. This is an actual concern from a concerned roster member. The fact that you’re glossing over this idea, almost makes it seem like you’re okay with having someone like Usagi as a stablemate. Is that right, ARIA? If you were a real friend, you wouldn’t need to think about stepping in and preventing Ayu from getting abused. Instead, you stand there each and every week, next to Usagi, and let the abuse happen. You, ARIA, for someone being a ‘detective’ should have been able to figure all of this out for yourself and you should be turning your energy on finding a way for Ayu to get safely away from Usagi rather than trying to tell me that I’m wrong.
ARIA: You, Candice, haven’t spent the amount of time that I have with Ayu and Usagi. You are being told things by Eden Sinclair. You are being told a warped up narrative about this pure and wholesome relationship between Ayu and Usagi. But, guess what? No one believes it. I don’t believe it, Ayu doesn’t believe it and all the fans in the Qudos Bank Arena don’t believe it.
(The crowd pop at the arena being named dropped, but most importantly, they are cheering for ARIA basically telling Candice Blair what they are all thinking.)
ARIA: Usagi Senshi is a warrior inside this ring. She leaves it all out there. She does whatever she can to get the victory; no one is as hungry or determined as her. She’s the most ruthless out of the three of us, but she gets the results that she wants. She is a better wrestler because of it. What happens between her and Ayu behind closed doors is none of my business, just like it’s none of your business to speculate. Usagi Senshi cares about Ayu Megumi. Usagi Senshi has done everything in her power to make Ayu into a better wrestler and while her teaching methods may not be conventional in the United States, in Japan, she is no different from any of the wrestling teachers there. It’s just a matter of what people are able to get across to each other and with Usagi, who knows Ayu more than me, she knows what is going to better Ayu.
Candice Blair: It’s great that you’re sticking up for Usagi and in a sense, Ayu, but I can’t help, but still feel worried about you, Ayu.
(Candice Blair turns her attention from ARIA to Ayu Megumi, who has been more than observant of the exchange between Candice and ARIA. )
Candice Blair: I have tons of respect for you, Ayu. Even if your respect for me has diminished, the need to look out for you has not. I only have your best interest at heart, so when I tell you all of these things about Usagi, it’s not because I want to hurt you, but because I feel like you need to hear things from an outsider. Usagi Senshi has been nothing, but a bad influence on you. I’ve seen abusive relationships in the workplace. Heck, I’ve seen it in my family, Ayu, so you can see how passionate I am about trying to help the abused out of their situation. When Usagi first arrived in EAW, I was happy for you. You were never going to be alone again. You had someone who was going to help you on this road to becoming the best wrestler in the world. The two of you were wholesome, but over time, all of that changes. It goes from wholesome to violent and in the process, people change. Usagi’s changed and most importantly, you have changed, Ayu. I look into your eyes and I don’t see that sweet-eyed girl who arrived in this company, hoping for championships, fame, and fortune. I just see you developing the same temper as Usagi.
(The crowd begins to boo louder, but this causes Candice Blair to project her voice louder.)
Candice Blair: At first, I didn’t want to believe it, but when I saw my match with ARIA last week and it was confirmed the moment you hit ARIA with the steel chair to the skull.
(The camera pans to Ayu Megumi looking at ARIA, but ARIA insists that the whole thing was okay and nothing more than an accident.)
Candice Blair: Your own friend, Ayu. You HURT ARIA as she could have walked away with the victory. She could have walked away with the momentum heading toward Wicked Games, but you took that away from her. You gave the victory to muah, at least 🥰 —but, that’s beside the point. The point is that you decided to retaliate by bringing out a violent side of yourself that was never a part of you until this season when things got rocky between you and Usagi. That, last week, was nothing more than Usagi’s bad influence rubbing off on you, Ayu. And ARIA, if you’re not careful, a lot worse can happen by standing with them.
ARIA: The steel chair shot from Ayu last week was nothing more than an accident. Ayu apologized multiple times when we reached backstage and was by my side all night just to see that I don’t have a concussion. That, plus the concussion protocol by the medical physician, determined me medically cleared to compete the next week if it needed to be. Of course, that’s something that you didn’t see, but that’s something that no one is obligated to see, so I’m just going to spin this wheel and get this whole thing over with.
(ARIA gets her hand on the Wicked Games roulette wheel and gives it a powerful spin. The anticipation slowly builds between all three women inside the ring. They cannot get their eyes off the wheel as it slowly begins to stop before landing on…)
Candice Blair: And…It’s a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match!
(The crowd begins to cheer for the stipulation. To see the Ice Aces facing each other in a match that defines heights and risk is something that’s intriguing to the fans. That, combined with Candice Blair as the special guest referee, makes the entire match more interesting.)
Candice Blair: That’s good for you, Ayu since you’re so good with chairs!
(Ayu Megumi, who tried to remain calm and quiet about the situation is immediately set off by the comment that Candice Blair knew was going to get underneath her skin. She grabs the microphone by ARIA before placing the microphone close to her lips.)
Ayu Megumi: Candice, for a second…PLEASE SHUT UP!
(The crowd pops as Candice Blair slowly has her jaw dropped, feeling taken aback about the bluntness of Ayu Megumi.)
Ayu Megumi: I am completely tired of you trying to come between us and accusing me and Usagi of having a dangerous anger problem. There are no anger problems within The Ice Aces and there’s no abuse going on in my relationship with Usagi. Usagi is not abusive. She has never laid a hand on me in a violent manner. If anything, the only sense of violence that she likes to inflict is on her opponents inside the ring and you should be REALLY happy that Usagi is not here tonight because she would have given you the beating that you clearly deserve. Maybe, that would be enough to knock some sense into you —
(Ayu Megumi tries to jump closer to Candice Blair’s personal space, but ARIA gets in between Candice and Ayu, trying to moderate the situation without getting herself into the potential violence that could occur with this altercation.)
Candice Blair: If there is someone that needs sense knocked into, it’s you, Ayu. I don’t say this in a malicious manner, but I am saying that in a way that is showing you tough love, because, at the end of the day, I am looking out for you. Usagi can claim that I am this horrible person that sent her back to the United States for no reason at all, but while she is not able to see the signs within herself, I am and I see how it’s terribly impacting you and your mental health. Deep inside, I know it’s breaking you down. I know that you find yourself in a situation that you cannot get yourself out of and I am here to help you find a way out. Here, take my hand…
Crowd: NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!
(Ayu Megumi is looking at the hand that Candice Blair extends at her direction, ARIA decides to stand on the side of the three of them, knowing that Ayu is a grown woman and can make her own decisions at the end of the day, but ARIA is hoping that Ayu denies Candice’s handshake. Candice is telling Ayu to accept her handshakes as the crowd begins to get rowdy, not wanting Ayu to accept that handshake. ARIA slowly begins to exit the ring behind Candice, curious to see how this thing unfolds.)
James Peters: What in the world is Ayu Megumi going to do? Is she going to accept Candice Blair’s handshake?
Rich Russillo: AND…AYU ACCEPTS CANDICE BLAIR’S HANDSHAKE! You can see the relieved look on Candice’s face! She knew that Ayu Megumi was going to come around and look for Candice’s help! Just look at ARIA, who looks down and has her head shaking!
(The crowd is completely outraged and begins to boo. Ayu Megumi forms a small smile on her face as she still holds onto the handshake before she goes to a serious and cold stare, not looking away from Candice Blair who realizes that she is in a terrible position to be.)
Persephone: RIPCORD KNEE STRIKE BY AYU MEGUMI AS THAT TAKES CANDICE BLAIR DOWN TO HER KNEES! AYU BEGINS TO UNLOAD ON CANDICE WITH PUNCHES AS THE CROWD IS COMPLETELY GOING WILD! CANDICE IS SCREAMING OUT OF HER LUNGS AT THE PUNCHES FROM AYU! CANDICE IS TRYING TO GET HERSELF OUT OF SPACE AYU AS SHE MANAGES TO KICK AYU AWAY FROM HER, CREATING SOME SPACE BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM! THIS IS GETTING CRAZY!
James Peters: Ayu Megumi finds herself to her feet first as Candice Blair is slowly finding herself to her feet, but Ayu goes to swing a giant punch to Candice’s face!
Rich Russillo: CANDICE BLAIR DUCKS THE PUNCH!
Persephone: AYU MEGUMI NAILS ARIA IN THE FACE, KNOCKING HER TO THE GROUND! FOR THE SECOND WEEK IN A ROW, AYU DROPS ARIA TO THE MAT!
(Ayu Megumi is in complete shock at ARIA being dropped to the ground for the second week in a row. ARIA has said nothing at all, completely stunned at what happened again. Meanwhile, Candice Blair shakes her head, not shocked, but disappointed.)
Candice Blair: This is what I thought was going to happen. 😔
James Peters: AYU MEGUMI BEGINS TO LAUNCH HERSELF AT CANDICE BLAIR, LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH THAT PUNCH THAT WAS MEANT FOR HER, BUT CANDICE ROLLS OUT OF THE RING BEFORE AYU CAN CONTINUE HER ATTACK ON ‘THE FACE OF DISNEY!’
(The crowd is booing Candice Blair escaping more punishment. She begins to walk up the ramp, her eyes never leaving ARIA and Ayu Megumi inside the ring. Once Candice is completely out of the picture, we are left with two-thirds of The Ice Aces inside the ring. Ayu walks over to ARIA, looking to help ARIA back, but ARIA holds her hand in a halting position, not wanting Ayu to help her up. Ayu’s heart drops at ARIA declining her help, but you can see a sense of hurt on ARIA’s face. Instead of taking Ayu’s help, ARIA rolls underneath the bottom rope and begins to walk up the ramp by herself. )
Rich Russillo: This is not the typical unity that we’ve seen from The Ice Aces. It seems like ARIA being knocked down by Ayu Megumi for the second week in a row, brought some emotions out of her as she decided to walk up the ramp by herself. Perhaps, she’s going to reflect and figure out how she’s going to approach this triple-threat TLC match at Wicked Games.
Persephone: You got Usagi Senshi back in the United States and the moment she returns to the ring, she’s going to be upset. Then, you have ARIA, who is probably thinking about how she should approach things next week.
(The last shot is of Ayu Megumi all alone inside the ring with an upset, but serious look on her face.)
James Peters: The most interesting situation is with that young woman inside the ring and what she must be feeling with everything that’s occurred since the beginning of the season.
(The crowd continues to buzz as the shot of Ayu Megumi alone in the ring fades out.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades in to show the backstage area of Qudos Bank Arena, where the camera pans over to show the Unified Tag Team Champions The Prescription, causing the crowd to absolutely erupt into cheers in response to this. Dr. Bethany Blue and Sheridan Müller are seen alongside one another against a wall, with Bethany on her phone and Sheridan, with a disgruntled look on her face, backed against the wall in deep thought. Their Championships are propped on a production crate while the two of them are in dead silence for a moment. Despite the resolution they were drawn to after last week’s episode of Voltage in response to the situation they found themselves in, it’s clear that they were still uneasy about the circumstances of the entire ordeal. Sheridan makes that more apparent than anything else, as she finally sighs before tilting her head up, turning over to Bethany as she begins to speak.)
Sheridan Müller: As good of a match on paper as the two of us at Wicked Games sounds, especially in a 30 Minute Iron-Woman, at some point we’re going to have to address the elephant in the room.
(Bethany responds with a sigh of her own before nodding in response.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: And we will, but we’ll worry about confronting Ronan another time; not a good move to make right now considering the position of power he’s in and what he could further do. I’m not opposed to it though, you’re right, this match will be amazing, but I can’t say I’m happy about the circumstances leading up to it.
Sheridan Müller: Captain Charisma did say that this would be the perfect chance to stick it to him and Eden by having a great match, but at the same time, I’d find a whole lot more satisfaction sticking it to him by ripping his arm out of its socket. Only Ronan would think of a match like this solely out of spite, and who knows what else he might do once Wicked Games is over with. Nonetheless, I know we’re not going to let him win in that regard. The great thing about a tag team is none of them really have an opportunity like the one we have, to truly prove our unity and bond with one another. If anything, this match is going to further that point and prove that we’re unbreakable, nothing will take us down. This won’t do anything to get in the way of our friendship or The Prescription.
(A small smile begins to grow on Bethany’s face, as she holds out her hand.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: At Wicked Games, may the best woman win.
(Sheridan gives a slight smile as well as she shakes Bethany’s hand in agreement.)
Sheridan Müller: May the best woman win.
(Both Bethany and Sheridan take their respective Championships into their possession, as the two of them look to leave the scene and head somewhere else having gotten on the same page just a week before what should be an interesting, yet highly anticipated, Wicked Games match. They don’t make it very far though, as the two of them pause and look back to see Sofia Clarke trailing them quickly, presumably trying to chase after them as Bethany and Sheridan turn around to face her.)
Sofia Clarke: Hi. 😄
Dr. Bethany Blue and Sheridan Müller: Hi.
Sofia Clarke: Do you mind?
(Bethany and Sheridan look toward one another, really not in a rush for anything tonight considering there’s no match to prepare for, as Bethany shrugs her shoulders and looks at Sofia.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: Go ahead.
Sofia Clarke: Well, I just wanted to ask you two a few questions; it has been an interesting past couple of weeks for the both of you. As we already know, last week Ronan Malosi and Eden Sinclair made a match official, where at Wicked Games it would be the two of you against one another furthermore in a 30 Minute Iron-Woman Match which was confirmed after the show. That didn’t come without its controversy though, and I think it goes without saying that you’re both unhappy about it. Knowing that match is looming around the corner, that has to change both of your trajectories, right? What is the future looking like for The Prescription?
Sheridan Müller: While Elite Answers Wrestling has seen in the past many tag teams implode in situations like the one that we’re in next week, I guarantee you, that is the least of our concerns knowing where our allegiances lie. So we’re not worried at all about what’s going to happen, but… the only people that should be worried are Ronan Malosi and Eden Sinclair, because let me say that the two of us are going to be watching them really closely after they pulled a stunt like the one they did last week.
Dr. Bethany Blue: The one thing they forgot to take into consideration was the fact that it doesn’t really matter what happens in this match, at all; regardless of how our match ends, The Prescription will continue reigning as the Unified Tag Team Champions and furthermore the best tag team on the roster. If Ronan thinks that he can even come close to embarrassing us, even if that means making us face one another, then he’s stupider than he looks. He hasn’t done a thing, and after Wicked Games we’ll get back to doing what really matters with our time and that’s defending our titles. Because we know that there’s a lot of teams lined up for a shot at them, and personally, I’m thrilled.
Sofia Clarke: Speaking of new challengers for your Championships, it’s been made apparent that one has already stepped up to the plate. As you may have seen, on Friday Night Dynasty this week, Soul Food Sunday, more specifically The Visual Prophet and SOSA Henderson of the trio, made their intentions loud and clear. They were coming after the Unified Tag Team Championships, and all they needed were The Prescription to accept the challenge put forth by the two of them. Obviously, this is a huge challenge, considering the accolades that they have to their name. If you accept their match, you will be facing two former World Champions and surefire Hall of Fame candidates, what are your thoughts about all of this?
(Sheridan and Bethany pause for a moment, acknowledging the looming presence of Soul Food Sunday on the horizon.)
Sheridan Müller: It’s interesting, isn’t it? I know people believe that if, and at this point when, that match happens they’ll be one of our biggest challengers yet. But the fact is that The Prescription have never backed away from a challenge no matter who it may be that issued it, and if time serves me well, no team has been able to defeat us in the past. Soul Food Sunday may very well be one of the toughest matches that we’ll have as a team, but at the same time, I’m of the belief that nothing is going to change about our luck regardless.
Dr. Bethany Blue: I’ll repeat what I said if it wasn’t made apparent enough, The Prescription are the best tag team in this division, bar none. If that wasn’t the case then we wouldn’t be Champions, we wouldn’t be anywhere near the position that we’re in right now, but that’s not the case. We’re far and away the best that EAW has to offer whether that be individually or together, we’re at the top of our game and things are going to stay that way after Wicked Games. If Soul Food Sunday wants to be the first team to prove them right, then we’ll be glad to give them the opportunity to do so. But be warned, because Viz and SOSA are just going to end up being another addition to the growing list of names that The Prescription has defeated.
Sofia Clarke: Bethany, Sheridan, thank you for your time.
(The Prescription take their leave while Sofia is left by herself, then turning toward the camera and greeting the viewing audience with a big smile on her face.)
Sofia Clarke: Well, there you have it folks. The challenge was put out by Soul Food Sunday and The Prescription have responded, saying that they’re not going to back down and are going to remain as Champions regardless of who the challenger may be. The prospect of four of EAW’s best colliding in tag team action is something that excites me just talking about it, and whenever that match for the Unified Tag Team Championship happens I’m sure the anticipation is going to be cranked up to the max! I hope all of you are just as excited as I am, and we’ll see for ourselves what happens in the next few weeks as this story develops.
(Sofia waves toward the camera as its the last shot seen before Sunday Night Voltage from there fades to a commercial break.)
(Commercial break for Dr. Pepper featuring TLA and the poons. TLA does a keg stand and guzzles down the soda, as a voiceover announces that Dr. Pepper is what the fans deserve! It’s also now the official soda of the Poon Palace.)
(‘Ambitionz az a Ridah’ by Tupac hits as Voltage returns, and the crowd cheers loudly as TLA begins to make his way out to the ring with a microphone in his hand. He has a smirk on his face as he walks out to thousands of cheering fans, and he has a confident look on his face only a week away from his match against Drake King at Wicked Games. TLA doesn’t spend too much time on the stage, making his way to the ring as he seems to have something to say.)
James Peters: It looks like TLA has something he wants to say ahead of his Disney Fun House match against Drake King, whatever that is! We know that things have been heated between these two for a very long time, and now TLA is taking the time to speak!
Rich Russillo: I look forward to seeing what he has to say, although I’m sure a certain someone won’t be too happy seeing as not only is this match going to happen, but a mystery stipulation has been attached to it!
Persephone: Well I’m sure it’ll be really fun and not boring at all, because everyone on Voltage is extremely talented! 😄
(TLA enters the ring, and after the fans quiet down he begins to speak.)
TLA: Yoyoyo we be out here and we straight up causing a ruckus. Orale this city ours and we taking over up in here. We on our Australia grind and we looking for a fight. We got that Disney Fun House at Wicked Games and you know that we finna throw down. Drake King about to get that beating he about to get it all delivered right to him all express like. Getting these manos delivered you know that we going to make sure that Drake give the deliveryman them props. Get that promotion cuz you know we always be delivering on time. This is our time tho and you know that mi raza taking over the whole world taking over EAW with the quickness. You know that Drake be lurking. He be scheming. Pero we ain’t let him take us down. Somos demasiado fuertes para ser derrotados.
(TLA pauses as the crowd cheers before continuing.)
TLA: We entering all up in that Disney Fun House and you know it gonna be all kinds of fun for a vato. We going to make this be like some childhood wish fulfillment type thang out here. We going to go all in with all kinds of them movies n cartoons up in here. Going to just be hammering on Drake with some kind of Mulan army type grind then we going to set the lions on him and have the mermaids drown him in the ocean. He going to drink so much salt up in that ocean he going to necrofy he throat up in here. Prolly for the best he ain’t talk no more. He open he mouth you know that the hate just spill out. I be wondering why he be hating. Been riding me since he entered this company. You know that he my number one fan the way he stalking me like that. He be more invested than the average hater. You know that this is advanced hatred. Drake scurred you know he hiding in the byke he ain’t going to say or do sh-
(‘Cold War’ by Hans Zimmer hits to loud booing from the crowd as Drake King comes out carrying a microphone. Drake doesn’t look happy at all with any of the things TLA had to say, and he begins making his way down the ramp. He yells at the production to turn his music off as he begins to speak.)
Drake King: No no no, you stop that right now! This should NOT be happening! It’s bad enough that this match is happening at all, we do not need to see you waste everyone’s time after what you did last week! You attacked me like a coward, and Captain Charisma was literally right here on the stage watching the entire thing, but of course he wouldn’t do anything about it! I knew he had his favorites, and he proved me right letting you do what you did last week. Captain Charisma may let you get away with whatever you want, but I’m not going to sit here and listen to you go on and on about a match that shouldn’t have been made in the first place.
(By this point Drake has made it to the bottom of the ramp, and as the crowd boos Drake walks up the steel steps.)
James Peters: Well it looks like someone wasn’t too happy to hear what TLA had to say.
Rich Russillo: Well, what can you expect? We all know Drake isn’t happy about this match happening especially after all these two have done to each other.
(Drake King enters the ring, and he continues to speak.)
Drake King: I don’t want any part of a “Disney Fun House match”, whatever that is. I’ve been in full support of the changes that have been made this season, but the fact that this match is even being allowed to happen is unbelievable. Not only am I being forced to face you after all of the horrible things you’ve done to me and to Voltage, but we’re being given a complete mystery of a stipulation that I probably won’t get to learn anything about until it’s already too late! The only reason you don’t see the problem with this is because it favors you. You have Captain Charisma on your side giving you whatever you want, including permission to spin the Wicked Games wheel without me even knowing anything about it! You know this isn’t fair, TLA. You know that I’m being mistreated and that Captain Charisma is messing with me. The odds are purposefully being stacked against me even after I gave you the chance to make things right without us having to resort to violence!
(TLA is shown laughing as he balls up his fist and punches in the air in order to demonstrate such violence. TLA also throws in a knife shanking gesture for good measure to really hammer the point home.)
TLA: Well that is where you are wrong ese. We are going to have this lucha and it is going to be a good lucha. You can cry and moan all you want but it is happening regardless. The Disney Fun House Match! Isn’t this what you and yo good amiga Eden wanted? Y’all been breathing down my neck tryna get me to embrace that Disney vida. Tryna convert me to that life. And I been resisting cuz I be staying true to the streets. I stay true to la cultura. Pero now we gots an opportunity to compromise. We hoppin’ all up inside the Disney Fun House and we bringing that violencia all up into Disney and we going to be straight up embracing all of it. Y’all should be proud. Y’all should be jumping for joy. I ain’t even said none of them offensive words y’all be hating so much. At least not on camera you know I am integrating with the quickness. Don’t you agree Drake? No? Por que weyito? Nah how about all of you? Do you think that TLA is really getting a hang on this whole Disney thing?
(TLA holds the microphone up to loud cheers from the crowd who seem to approve. The camera cuts to a young child who is shown holding a poster with a drawing of TLA in the classic hand drawn Disney animation style as she celebrates her new Disney hero.)
TLA: I ain’t even know Drake. Creo que ahora podría ser un príncipe de Disney. Y’all know one day I finna be el rey tho. Captain Charisma ain’t got nothing to do with it Drake. You know he is just doing what is best for business. Gotta have the best luchadores if you wanna give these great fans what they be deserving. Y’all know that I stay spinning that wheel y’all ain’t even catch me I catch you lackin’. They lucky that they let me spin the wheel or you know I just be slipping in and slipping out straight taking the whole wheel. Drake thinks he being mistreated but it looks a whole lot like equality from where I am standing. Drake ain’t get to sit in the back doing nothing but meddle and try to destroy the career of an hombre out of spite and not expect the war that finna follow. You fired the first shots Drake now you gots to live with all of them consequences. You say you didn’t want this but your actions say otherwise. We stepping out and into a real dangerous type of match. You want to end my career well now you got a chance to do that with your own bare hands. Ain’t gotta bring none of those backstage politics and conspiracies out here. You want some and you going to get some. But if you ain’t real careful cabrón… it gonna be your career that gets put to an end at Wicked Games!
(TLA stops talking as the crowd cheers and he points with the microphone to the recently released match graphics for Wicked Games. The animated image featuring the demonic Mickey Mouse gives all a foreboding feeling about what this match is going to entail.)
Drake King: TLA, the only thing that I want, and have ever wanted when it comes to you, is for you to get out of this company. You’re a cancer, and I’ve tried multiple times to get rid of you yet you’re somehow always lucky enough to find your way back. Eden Sinclair was kind enough to give you multiple chances to redeem yourself even when she knew you weren’t fit to be in this company and you failed this brand every single time, so there’s no reason why I should have to put up with this right now. You had all season to clean things up before Eden and I decided to get rid of you at Rise of the Resistance. You had months to get used to the way things work around here now and instead you chose to constantly retaliate, so I shouldn’t have to be put in this spot because I did the right thing and held you accountable for your actions. Captain Charisma has no idea what he’s doing, but I’m not going to sit back and allow you to keep doing the exact same thing you’ve been doing for years at the expense of this brand actually getting the chance to move forward and become better than ever. I know you by now TLA. Unless you’re forced out of this company, you’re not going to change.
(TLA doesn’t look bothered by Drake’s comments, mockingly shrugging his shoulders at them as Drake continues.)
Drake King: We do this every single year and I’m tired of it. If I was concerned about being the one to get rid of you then I would’ve challenged you to a match a long time ago, but I didn’t. I didn’t challenge you because this is about more than a wrestling match to me. This is about Voltage becoming the exact same show it was the last time you were on this brand, down to history literally being repeated with this very match. I don’t even want anything to do with you. It’s you and Captain Charisma that keep allowing these matches to happen when I’m just trying to help this place. You know that I’m not going to sit back and just let you ruin this company and maybe this is my best shot at doing that, but do you really think giving me a chance like that is smart? You’re making a huge mistake forcing me into a position where I have to fight, because it’s not going to work out the way you want it to. This is your last chance, TLA. Just back out of the match!
(TLA crosses his arms for a moment and brings a hand up beneath his chin to show that he is thinking about Drake’s offer in a mocking manner. However, he quickly shrugs his shoulders and laughs before bringing the microphone back up to speak again.)
TLA: Escuchame homie… y’all said that you know me by now? If you know me so well then what makes you think for a single second that I would ever back out of a fight? Don’t be saying that you know me dawg when you ain’t know nothing at all! You ain’t know about the hustle. You ain’t know about the never say die. You ain’t know about the sangre that flow through these veins and powers the very electricity that charges Voltage itself. You ain’t know about the motto. About that Anyone. Anytime. Anywhere. You ain’t about that life. You want out of the match? You want me to give it up? Nah ain’t never going to happen cobarde. You picked a fight with the wrong one and now you gotta see it through. You called me a cancer and you better hope that is not the case. Cuz if it is, you know that ain’t nobody ever found the cure. I’m unstoppable Drake. You can’t stop me. You never could.
(TLA pauses for a second smiling in Drake’s face as the crowd briefly chants his name before continuing.)
TLA: Now you want to get rid of me but the truth is Drake I know you by now too. And I know that I am the only thing you have left. You lost your oro you lost your compadres. You lost your fans. You lost everything and I’m all you have left. Just an old unsettled grudge and that’s it. You come out here and you see TLA you see La Pantera Sexual and he ain’t lost nada. Ain’t lost no steps. Winning titles. Main eventing Pain for Pride. I be doing it all and doing it all through my own merit which is something you have never been able to do. Because you are mid Drake. You were never able to make it in this business on your own. You needed everyone else to prop you up. You needed New Eden but now both of them have gone on to become bigger stars than you ever were. You needed The Visual Prophet because we all know your boring monotone charisma-lacking trasero ain’t had what it takes to get over on your own. Now like the desperate corporate sellout you are, you latch onto Disney and Eden Sinclair. But just like Disney it’s just been endless reboots and remakes of the same old crap that no one cares about. This is EAW. We about creativity. We about pushing professional wrestling forward as an artform. But nah we really milking the Drake King franchise until it is dead at this point but what else can you expect from a guy who’s greatest “creative” solo achievement was running around and yelling “OK” at the top of his lungs. You ain’t making this brand better Drake. You are making it MID just like you.
(The crowd cheers loudly, but Drake doesn’t have the same happiness on his face that’s seen on the fans in the arena. Instead he looks furious over the whole situation, but chooses not to say anything back to TLA.)
James Peters: DRAKE JUST SLAMMED HIS MICROPHONE INTO TLA’S FACE!!! TLA STUMBLES INTO THE ROPES AND DRAKE CHARGES AT HIM, AND A LARIAT FROM DRAKE KING SENDS BOTH ELITISTS OVER THE TOP ROPE AS DRAKE KING HAS SEEMINGLY HEARD ENOUGH FROM HIS WICKED GAMES OPPONENT!!!
Rich Russillo: BOTH MEN GET BACK UP, AND TLA IS ABLE TO LAND A RIGHT HAND, BUT DRAKE KNEES TLA IN THE MIDSECTION BEFORE SENDING HIM INTO THE STEEL STEPS!!! WE KNEW THE HATRED THESE TWO HAD FOR EACH OTHER HEADING INTO THIS MATCH, BUT IT SEEMS LIKE DRAKE MAY BE TRYING TO HURT TLA JUST A WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT!
Persephone: :lupe: TLA WAS TRYING TO SIT UP AND DRAKE HIT A KNEE TO THE HEAD, CRUSHING TLA’S HEAD ONCE AGAIN ON THE STEEL STEPS!!!! Drake is now just kicking and stomping at TLA! He sure isn’t happy.
James Peters: Yeah, is he ever?
Rich Russillo: TLA slowly getting up to all fours, AND NOW DRAKE RUNS IN BEFORE CONNECTING WITH JUDGEMENT DAY!!!
(The crowd boos extremely loudly after the curb stomp, and with TLA laid out, Drake King begins to look under the ring. It takes a few seconds, but the boos only grow much louder once Drake finds the weapon he was looking for.)
James Peters: Oh no…
Rich Russillo: :lupe: The branding iron. We haven’t seen that in a while!
(Drake turns to TLA, before holding the branding iron up and staring at it.)
Drake King: (off-mic) Darcy.. Minerva.. TLA.
(Finally, Drake slams down the branding iron onto TLA and holds it there, causing TLA to scream out in pain as the crowd boos as loud as they can.)
James Peters: Oh I can’t watch this! Drake King is branding TLA the same way he’s done with his opponents in the past, and this is just awful!
Rich Russillo: It’s never easy seeing anyone go through that, and right before Wicked Games this could be really bad for TLA! Drake just gave himself a really big opening heading into the event, and now officials are running down to check on TLA after he was just branded!
James Peters: This is just disgusting. TLA doesn’t deserve this!
Rich Russillo: You’re right, but at this point the damage was done!
(As Drake stands over TLA with the branding iron, a bunch of officials run down to the area as the crowd boos loudly. Drake finally begins to leave the area as the officials check on TLA, and from there Voltage fades away from ringside and into another Wicked Games promotional ad.)
(A promotional ad for Wicked Games airs featuring Haruka Kashimashi, Halsey Neel, and Kylie Grace. Watch these three women duke it out in a ‘Falls Count Anywhere’ match for the right to compete at Road to Redemption inside the Specialists Chamber!)
(Voltage returns to ringside, where Bella Braxton is seen holding a microphone.)
Bella Braxton: The following contest is a tag team match set for!!!
Crowd: One fall!!!!
(‘Mo Money’ by Ben McLusky hits, as the crowd instantly boos. Out steps Ronan Malosi who walks out in what looks to be a warmup suit. Like an actual fancy suit that he’s wearing to warm up in. He continues down the entrance ramp and towards the ring as Amaya begins to speak.)
Amaya: Introducing first!! From Tribeca New York City, New York!! Weighing 285lbs!!! HE HAS MORE MONEY THAN YOU, RONAN MALOSI!!!
James Peters: And here we go!! Ronan Malosi is coming out sporting a unique entrance attire in a suit.
Rich Russillo: Well when your nickname is “Has more money Than you”, you need to come out stylish I guess.
(‘Primrose’ by Dream State hits, as the crowd erupts into a mostly positive reaction!! Daryl Kinkade then steps out, and looks directly at Ronan. The two definitely aren’t getting along from even a distance, but how could they be after everything they’ve been through these past few weeks.)
Bella Braxton: And his partner.. from Norwich, England!! Weighing 225lbs!! DARYL KINKADE!!!
Rich Russillo: Well the main reason for this match is to put two unlikely teams together. These teams consist of Wicked Games opponents, and wow have these past few weeks been crazy for this team of Ronan and Daryl.
Persephone: It all started with Ronan demanding more respect for what happened at Territorial Invasion, but then it spiraled in numerous attacks towards one another. Will they be able to put everything aside and make this work?
(‘Seek and Destroy’ by Metallica hits, as the crowd boos heavily. Out steps Halsey Neel who looks ready to go to battle in that ring.)
Bella Braxton: And their opponent!! From Birmingham, England!! Weighing 140lbs!! HALSEY NEEL!!
Rich Russillo: Now when talking about the Chamber qualifier that includes Haruka Kashimashi, Halsey Neel, and Kylie Grace, it’s not a bad take to say that Halsey is likely the most confident out of the bunch.
James Peters: She’s confident, but arrogant at the same time. However, you need to have that type of mean streak to yourself in order to make it here in EAW.
(‘W-B-X W-Boiled Extreme’ by Aya Kamiki featuring TAKUYA hits, as the crowd erupts into cheers. Haruka Kashimashi makes her way out onto the stage, as she waves out to the crowd on her way to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And her partner!! From Sapporo Hokkaido!! Weighing 128lbs!!! HARUKA KASHIMASHI!!!
James Peters: This is going to be good. Seeing how these two have a falls count anywhere match together with Kylie Grace next week, I wonder how they’ll be able to work together.
Rich Russillo: If it was Haruka and Kylie, I could see it working, but with Halsey? I don’t know. We’ll have to see how this turns out!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: There’s the bell, and this one is underway. At one end of the ring, we can see Haruka Kashimashi starting it off for her team, as Ronan Malosi insists on Daryl starting it off for theirs. Daryl rolls his eyes at Ronan, as Ronan makes his way to their team’s corner.
James Peters: Daryl Kinkade turns his attention over to Haruka Kashimashi now, as both Elitists ho right at one another and tie up!! Daryl quickly slips in a standing side headlock, and looks to go for his headlock driver right out of the gate, however, it’s Haruka who shoves him off and sends him running towards the side ropes!
Persephone: Daryl hits the ropes hard, then springs back.. ROUNDHOUSE KICK BY HARUKA KASHIMASHI!!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!! Daryl Kinkade ducks underneath the leg there, and continues towards the far ropes! He springs back towards Haruka who is just not regaining her balance.. RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT MY KINKADE!!!
James Peters: NO!! Haruka steps out of the way, as Kinkade goes right past her! Normally he has his opponents against the corner or ropes before he attempts that uppercut, but this time he went for a normal one, and Haruka managed to evade it! She now leaps up.. DROPKICK TO THE SIDE OF THE BODY BY HARUKA!! AND THAT ONE SENDS DARYL KINKADE DOWN TO THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!
Persephone: Daryl isn’t slow to get up though, as he quickly gets back up to his feet. Meanwhile, Haruka looks like she’s trying to keep the pressure on Kinkade, as grabs him by the head.. AND DELIVERS A KNEE TO THE ABDOMEN!! ANOTHER!! AND ANOTHER!! Haruka now grabs Daryl by the arm, and whips him towards the side ropes! He hits the ropes and rebounds back! LARIAT BY HARUKA!!
James Peters: BUT DARYL DUCKS THE ARM!! He gets from behind Haruka, and locks in a full nelson!! What’s this?!? SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX BY DARYL KINKADE!! WHAT A MOVE, AS THAT ONE COULD HAVE BROKEN KASHIMASHI’S NECK JUST NOW!!!
Rich Russillo: Haruka is down and clutching at her head and neck in pain. Daryl steps over to Haruka now, and stomps down onto her midsection! He then grabs her by the head and hair, and brings her to her feet. He kicks her in the midsection, then pulls her in with a front facelock.
James Peters: Aren’t they kind of close to that corner?
Rich Russillo: They definitely are, James!! BUT THAT DOESN’T STOP DARYL FROM CONNECTING A SNAP SUPLEX ON HARUKA, AND HAVING CRASH UPSIDE DOWN AGAINST THE CORNER TURNBUCKLES!!! HARUKA’S LEGS HOOK ONTO THE TOP ROPE, AS SHE NOW HANGS UPSIDE DOWN IN THE CORNER!!
Persephone: And just like that, the first tag is made!
(TAG!)
Rich Russillo: That is absolutely right, Persephone! Daryl has just tagged Ronan in, as Ronan gives him a look indicating that what Daryl did was somewhat impressive. Obviously Malosi doesn’t believe Daryl’s efforts were up to the Malosi standards, but it was a somewhat decent effort to him nonetheless.
James Peters: I’m getting some anything you can do I can do better vibes here, Rich. Ronan wants the whole world to see what he’s got planned next, as he sets himself up right in the center of the ring. He’s staring right at Haruka who is hanging upside down in the corner, and.. HE RUSHES IN AT HER WITH A SHOULDER STRIKE AGAINST THE TURNBUCKLES!!!
Persephone: NO!! HARUKA DOES A SIT UP IN THE CORNER, AS NOW SHE’S SEATED ON THE TOP ROPE!! AND AS A RESULT, RONAN JUST RAN SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!!
Rich Russillo: While Ronan was impressed with Daryl’s work moments ago, Daryl doesn’t look impressed at all with Ronan’s first 20 seconds into this match.
James Peters: And now Ronan is working his way out of the corner. He’s holding his shoulder in pain, as Haruka Kashimashi begins to work her way up to her feet on the top rope. Daryl doesn’t even bother to disrupt Haruka, as he has his hands up and lets her be. She stands up on that top turnbuckle, as Ronan looks up!!! MISSILE DROPKICK FROM THE TOP ROPE!!! IT CONNECTS, AND HARUKA JUST BLASTED RONAN IN THE CHEST WITH HER BOOTS!!! MALOSI IS DOWN, AND KASHIMASHI COVERS
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!
TWWWWW-
Rich Russillo: But Ronan powers out after just a one count!
James Peters: Haruka rises to her feet as Ronan turns onto his stomach and works up to his hands and knees. KICK TO THE ABDOMEN BY HARUKA!!!
Rich Russillo: WOW!! She kicked his stomach like it was a soccer ball!! Malosi clutches at his stomach in pain, as he slowly works up to a knee..
James Peters: SPINNING HEEL KICK TO THE FACE BY HARUKA KASHIMASHI!!!
Rich Russillo: NO!! RONAN BLOCKS THE BOOT TO THE FACE WITH HIS FOREARM!!! And wait, did he?!? Yes!! Yes he did!! Ronan kept a tight grip on the boot, and shoved Haruka down to her
forearms!! He twists around and.. ELEVATED SINGLE LEG BOSTON CRAB BY RONAN MALOSI!!!!
Persephone: Haruka begins to scream out in pain, as Ronan sits back and uses his weight to his advantage against Kashimashi!!
Rich Russillo: Malosi likes where he’s at right now, as he continues to pressure into Haruka!! Kashimashi extends her arms out and tries to reach the ropes, but it’s no use!! Ronan is too big for her to move, and she’s quite a ways away from getting a rope break!
James Peters: Maybe she doesn’t need one, Rich!! Look!! Haruka works up onto her forearms, then up to what looks like a plank position with her arms extended out!! Malosi is still sitting back, as he tries to keep the pressure on Haruka’s lower back, but.. HARUKA WHIPS HER ARM HARD AND TUCKS IT UNDER HER BODY, AS HER SHOULDER DROPS RIGHT TO THE MAT IN AN INSTANT!! THIS SUDDEN MOVEMENT MADE RONAN FALL BACK, AS HE LOST HIS BALANCE!!!
Rich Russillo: And not only that, James, but Haruka continues to twist around, as she locks in.. No way!! SQUID GAME!!! THE OCTOPUS HOLD IS LOCKED IN ON RONAN MALOSI!!! HE’S FREAKING OUT AND YELLING IN PAIN!!! HARUKA CONTINUES TO STRETCH RONAN’S SHOULDERS AND ARMS.. She pulls back harder… AND BOTH HER AND RONAN DROP TO THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!!
Persephone: She remains keeping this lock tight!!! Ronan has nowhere to go!! He’s being stretched out with no way to escape this submission hold!!!
James Peters: And look!!! Ronan Malosi leans back into Haruka!!! And in doing so, He gets her shoulders pinned down to the mat!!!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THRR-
Rich Russillo: And Haruka kicks out!! She has to release the octopus hold in order to do so, but she kicks out!! Smart move by Ronan to turn his situation into a chance to win. Ultimately putting himself in a better position.
James Peters: Both Ronan and Haruka scramble to their feet! Ronan is able to grab Haruka by the arm and whips her to the side ropes! Kashimashi hits the ropes hard, then rebounds back towards Malosi!! RUNNING LARIAT BY RONAN!!
Persephone: NO!!! HARUKA DUCKS THE ARM!!!
Rich Russillo: And she continues running towards the far ropes, as Ronan tries to regain his footing! Malosi turns around, as Haruka rebounds back towards him!!! SLINGBLADE BY HARUKA!!! SHE JUST TOOK DOWN THE MUCH LARGER MALOSI, AS HIS ENTIRE BODY SNAPPED RIGHT DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!!
James Peters: Haruka gets to her feet, and makes her way over to her corner in order to make the tag!
(TAG!)
Rich Russillo: Halsey Neel has just entered this match, as she makes her way over to Ronan Malosi! Stomp to the midsection by Halsey!!! ANOTHER!! AND ANOTHER!! This last stomp forces Ronan into a seated position, as he clutches at his midsection in pain!
Persephone: Changing his position definitely might backfire on him, because Halsey grabs at his head! What’s this?!? HEADBUTT!!! HALSEY NEEL JUST BLASTED HER HEAD AGAINST RONAN’S, AND HE FALLS BACK AGAINST THE CANVAS OF THE RING!!!
James Peters: From here, Halsey Neel mounts on top of Ronan, and begins to deliver some strong right and left handed punches to the face!! one! Two! Three! Four!! Five!! Six punches by Halsey Neel!!!
Rich Russillo: She gets to her feet, and kicks Ronan Malosi over. She then wraps her arms around his body, then looks over at Haruka Kashimashi!!! No way!! She’s actually going for it!!! DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX!!!!
Persephone: But Ronan isn’t moving!! He’s too big for her to lift up!!! He’s.. wait.. he’s actually coming off of the ground!!!
Rich Russillo: But it’s not by Halsey’s doing, Persephone!!! Ronan is working up to his feet, while Halsey Neel still has her arms wrapped around his body!!! Ronan is now standing and.. BACK ELBOW TO THE FACE BY RONAN!!! ANOTHER!!! AND ANOTHER!!!
James Peters: That last shot forces Halsey Neel to release her grip on Ronan, as she clutches at her jaw!!
Rich Russillo: But that leaves an opening for Ronan Malosi, as he kicks Halsey in the midsection!! He then pulls her in, then lifts her high in the air in a powerbomb position!!! Ronan turns towards his team’s corner, and.. BUCKLE BOMB!!! HE JUST TOSSED HALSEY NEEL RIGHT INTO THE CORNER, AND NEARLY KNOCKED DARYL KINKADE OFF OF THE RING APRON!!!
James Peters: Daryl definitely didn’t like that one one bit! Ronan Malosi doesn’t care though, as he has Halsey leaned up against the corner. Malosi looks at Halsey, takes a few steps back, then charges right at her with a corner lariat!!! And it connects!! Ronan just crushed Neel in the corner!!!
(TAG!)
Rich Russillo: And look at this!! Daryl just smacked Ronan in the back in order to tag himself in!!
James Peters: Ronan looks pretty upset about this, but I can see where Daryl is coming from. Ronan is being reckless by tossing Halsey into the corner while not keeping in mind that Daryl is standing in the corner as well. It’s much safer for Daryl to be in this match than for him to be on the ring apron when Ronan Malosi is wrestling this way!
Persephone: Daryl steps inside of the ring now, as he makes his way over to Halsey. Knee strike to the abdomen by Daryl!! That one knocked the wind out of Neel, but Daryl isn’t done yet! He takes a few steps back towards the center of the ring, then charges right at Halsey!!
Rich Russillo: RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT BY DARYL KINKADE ONTO HALSEY NEEL IN THE CORNER!!!!
James Peters: AND THIS TIME THE RUNNING UPPERCUT CONNECTS!! HALSEY’S HEAD JUST SNAPPED BACK AFTER THAT POWERFUL PUNCH FROM DARYL!!
Rich Russillo: Kinkade now grabs Neel by the back of the head, and tosses her out of the corner, and near the center of the ring where she falls to her knees. From here, Kinkade scales up the top rope! He positions himself, as he watches Halsey Neel slowly work up to her feet!!! Kinkade leaps into the air!!! DIVING METEORA BY KINKADE!!! IT CONNECTS!!! HE JUST DRILLED HIS KNEES RIGHT INTO THE FACE OF HALSEY NEEL!!! NEEL’S HEAD SNAPS RIGHT DOWN TO THE CANVAS OF THE RING AND NOW IT’S KINKADE WHO GOES FOR THE PIN!!!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THHHHHHHHR-
Persephone: And there’s the kickout!!!
James Peters: Daryl rises up to his feet pretty quick, and stomps down onto Halsey’s stomach before kicking her over!! He then drops an elbow right down onto the back of her shoulder before grabbing her arm!! What is he doing here?!? He leaps over her body while still holding onto that arm.. That’s!! That’s!!!
Rich Russillo: CATCH 22!!! THE BRIDGING FUJIWARA ARMBAR BY DARYL KINKADE IS LOCKED IN!!!! DARYL WRENCHES ON THAT ARM AND PULLS ON IT!! IT MUST FEEL LIKE HER ARM IS GETTING RIPPED RIGHT OUT OF ITS SOCKET THE WAY THAT HE’S TUGGING AND PULLING ON IT!!
Persephone: This definitely does not look comfortable. She almost looks like she’s in as much pain as I am.
James Peters: :comeagain:
Persephone: The wrestling on display tonight is so good that it hurts!!!
Rich Russillo: The wrestling surely has been good, and with Daryl showcasing his technical ability, this match is only getting better!! Neel screams out in pain, as Daryl continues to pull on that arm!! She may need to tap out in all honesty!! Remember, she has a number one contenders match next week, and if her arm is ripped out of its socket, I don’t know if she’ll be able to compete! She already doesn’t like Haruka Kashimashi, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she gave up on this match and tapped out right here!!
James Peters: You got it all wrong, Stew!! Halsey is a warrior, and as much as she dislikes Haruka, she’s trying to pick up the win here tonight!! Look at her right now!! She manages to get her knees underneath herself!! Kinkade continues to wrench on that arm, but Neel continues fighting her way up!! She’s gotten her feet underneath herself, and begins to stand up with her arm still in Daryl’s grasp!!! Neel twists around, and unwinds her arm before.. CONNECTING WITH A RIPCORD KNEE STRIKE TO THE FACE!!! DARYL RELEASES HIS GRIP ON HALSEY AFTER SHE BLASTED HIM RIGHT IN THE NOSE WITH HER KNEE!!!!
Rich Russillo: And now it’s Halsey Neel with a knife edge chop!! Another!! And another!! Each strike smacks up against Daryl’s chest, as the sound echoes throughout this arena!! Kinkade’s chest looks beat red after those chops! He grabs his chest, but Halsey grabs his head!!! SNAPMARE!!! She just brought Kinkade down to the mat in a seated position!! Neel stands behind Kinkade and.. PENALTY KICK!!! SHE JUST BLASTED KINKADE RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF HIS BACK WITH THAT PENALTY KICK!! WHAT A MOVE BY HALSEY NEEL!!!
Persephone: Daryl Kinkade is arching his back in tremendous pain right now. He is absolutely hurting, as Halsey stomps down onto his midsection!! She then kicks Daryl over..
Rich Russillo: Oh no!! What is she thinking?!? CURB STOMP!!! SHE JUST DROVE DARYL’S FACE RIGHT INTO THE RING MAT WITH THAT ONE!! WAIT!! SHE JUST DID ANOTHER ONE!! AND ANOTHER ONE!!! HALSEY NEEL IS SHOWING ABSOLUTELY NO MERCY, AS SHE REPEATEDLY DROPS HER BOOT RIGHT DOWN ONTO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD!!! OVER AND OVER AGAIN IT’S HALSEY NEEL WHO CONTINUES THESE STOMPS!!!
James Peters: And i think that might have been enough to get the pinfall! Neel definitely believes that’s the case, as she covers Daryl Kinkade for the pin!!!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-
Rich Russillo: But Kinkade kicks out!! This match continues!!!
Persephone: Halsey wasn’t happy about not getting the pinfall, and rises up to her feet. She then makes her way over to the corner where she tags in Haruka!
(TAG!)
James Peters: And now Kashimashi is in this one again!! She scales her way up to the top rope, as Daryl Kinkade is still down on the canvas of the ring, as Haruka sets herself up on the top rope!! She leaps!!! DIVING ELBOW DROP BY HARUKA KASHIMASHI!!! SHE JUST PIERCED HER ELBOW RIGHT THROUGH THE STERNUM OF KINKADE, AND ALL OF THE WIND WAS KNOCKED RIGHT OUT OF HIM!!!
Rich Russillo: Haruka rises up to her feet, then grabs Daryl by the head. She brings him up to his feet as well, as she connects with a kick to the stomach-
Persephone: No!! Kinkade caught the boot!! He tosses the boot down, then delivers a forearm smash across the face!! Daryl then grabs Haruka by the shoulder and.. JUMPING REVERSE STO BY DARYL KINKADE-
James Peters: AND AS SOON AS DARYL GETS BACK UP RONAN TAGS HIMSELF IN!
(Ronan enters the ring as the crowd boos loudly, and he and Daryl get into an argument.)
Ronan Malosi: (off-mic) Just get out! I don’t need you! I can do this on my own!
Daryl Kinkade: (off-mic) Really? Okay then.,
(After a few seconds Ronan shoves Daryl and tells him to leave, and in return Daryl hits Ronan with a superkick, before connecting with the Monkē Flip!)
James Peters: Ronan was just dropped by his own partner, and now it looks like Daryl is leaving Ronan to fend for himself after the argument the two just had! It looks like this team was the first to fall apart, as Daryl heads up the ramp and Ronan is on his own!
Rich Russillo: Ronan Malosi slowly works up to his feet in the corner with the help of the corner turnbuckles and ropes. He looks out towards Daryl…
James Peters: But his focus should be on Haruka, because she’s just gotten herself up to her feet!!! Haruka makes her way over to Ronan Malosi, and pulls him out of the corner abruptly!! Malosi nearly loses his balance, as he is tired and desperately needs a breather!!
Rich Russillo: LOW DROPKICK TO THE KNEE BY HARUKA KASHIMASHI!!! That forces Ronan to drop to his knee, and that’s the last position he wants to be in, as Haruka follows up that low dropkick with a spinning back hook kick that catches Ronan right across the face!!! Ronan instantly falls down to the canvas of the ring, and faces the ceiling!!
Persephone: And from here look at what Haruka is doing! She makes her way over to the corner turnbuckles, and climbs her way up to the top rope! Haruka Kashimashi gets herself set up, as Ronan is too tired and in too much pain to move!! Haruka faces out towards the crowd, and leaps towards Ronan!!! PRODIGIOUS LANDING!!! PHOENIX SPLASH BY HARUK KASHIMASHI CONNECTS!!! SHE JUST FLATTENED RONAN MALOSI AND IS NOW GOING FOR THE PIN!!!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘W-B-X W-Boiled Extreme’by Aya Kamiki Featuring TAKUYA hits, as the crowd goes wild for Haruka Kashimashi. Halsey Neel enters the ring and the referee raises both of their arms. Neel gives Haruka a mean look, as Haruka continues to celebrate.)
James Peters: What a match that was! We had two teams who we couldn’t tell would be able to work together, and tonight it looks like we found our answer.
Rich Russillo: You’ve got that right. Ronan and Daryl couldn’t see eye to eye here due to what could be seen as a misunderstanding, while Haruka and Halsey stuck it out and stayed focused on getting the victory.
Persephone: And then we see all four of these Elitists next week. How exciting.
James Peters: You’ve got that right! With a slot in the specialist on the line, I doubt this tag team victory will ease the tension between both Halsey and Haruka.
Rich Russillo: I believe this is only fueling Ronan and Daryl’s fire heading into their match at Wicked Games! Overall we have many matches to look forward to, and I can’t wait until the event is here!
(The screen shows Ronan Malosi being laughed at by Daryl Kinkade from a distance. We then see Haruka stopping her celebration, as Halsey and her go face to face in the center of the ring before Voltage fades elsewhere.)
(The camera cuts to a commercial featuring Jake Smith eating a saltsicle. A treat that is sure to be popular with the entire world!)
(Voltage fades to the ring, which has seemingly been decorated in preparation for a contract signing. In the middle of the ring is a table with a chair on both sides of it, and on top of the table is a match contract, as well as a pen and microphone on each side of it. The fans cheer, but it’s not just because of the upcoming contract signing. It’s also because of the fact that the Voltage commissioner Captain Charisma is standing right next to the table, there to host the signing himself.)
Captain Charisma: Ladies and gentlemen, WHO’S READY FOR WICKED GAMES??
(The crowd explodes with even more cheers, causing a smile to appear on the commissioner’s face as he continues.)
Captain Charisma: I know, you’re all just as excited as I am, and now that we know all of the matches that’ll be happening at this event there’s no doubt that Voltage is gonna have one hell of a show. This roster is going to deliver once again just like we’ve been doing for years, and with that being said I think now’s the right time to do what I’m sure you’ve all been waiting for, and make the main event for this show official with a contract signing. There shouldn’t be any questioning just how big this match really is. Two of the most accomplished Elitists on the Voltage roster will be facing off in the main event of our first brand free-per-view of the season in a Hardcore match for the EAW Championship! The EAW Champion and the Hardcore Champion, both of which have dominated throughout their reigns with their respective titles, will now be going head to head to see who’s capable of returning to Voltage either with the World Championship, whether it’s in their third successful defense or the start of a reign as double Champion. So without any further adieu, I think it’s time to get this contract signing started!
(The crowd explodes into cheers one more time, and before long Captain Charisma begins introducing the two competitors.)
Captain Charisma: First off, we have the man that was Voltage’s team Captain in the Brand Warfare match, using his favor to get this match in the first place! He’s been on a roll all year, and love him or hate him it’s undeniable just how big of a threat he can be, especially in a match where he’ll have access to whatever weapons are in the arena. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Hardcore Champion, Charlie Marr!!!
(‘Praise The Lord’ by Bandokay hits, and any positivity coming from the crowd disappears as Charlie Marr begins to walk out with the Hardcore Championship on his shoulder. Despite the leg injury, Charlie only stares at the ring, not paying any attention to his knee problem as he makes his way down the ramp. Just from the look on his face, it’s clear that Charlie Marr is extremely confident in his chances heading into this match.)
James Peters: Here comes the Hardcore Champion, Charlie Marr!! Captain Charisma said nearly everything, but there’s one thing he forgot to mention. Charlie has held the EAW Championship already, and this is his chance to become World Champion for a second time!
(Charlie enters the ring, and as he takes a seat in the chair, he wastes no time picking up a microphone and looking at Captain Charisma.)
Charlie Marr: Now before you continue to go on and on and bore everyone about your feelings on the match, just know that I don’t care. Nobody’s here for any other reason but to watch me sign the contract and leave, so let’s just get to that. There’s no point in dragging this out any longer than it needs to be. You’ve already made some huge mistakes in your introduction for me, since you clearly forgot that I’m the next EAW World Champion and the man that’s been carrying this show on my back all season long. Wicked Games is going to end with me holding the EAW World Championship in one hand and the Hardcore Championship in the other, and as far as I’m concerned this contract signing is just a nice little waste of time to hold me over until then, because we both know that Minerva’s not getting out of this match. Not at this point. Now unless you plan to redo your announcement and give me the respect that I deserve for being the biggest star on your show and the only one around here that’s actually watchable, hurry and get this over with so I can get out of here.
(Captain Charisma looks a bit annoyed, but he’s able to just shake his head and continue with his introductions.)
Captain Charisma: Now, that brings me to Charlie’s opponent. This woman has won every single match she’s been part of since Pain for Pride, and that alone should tell you what kind of competitor she is! This woman is also very dangerous and she’s accomplished just as much as Charlie, making this a really huge match that both Elitists will have to bring their very best to! Ladies and gentlemen.. Please welcome the EAW World Champion, Minerva!!!
(As Charlie turns to the stage, ‘Blood, Milk & Sky’ by White Zombie starts to play. Charlie doesn’t look impressed, but all of the fans are cheering as Minerva walks out with the EAW World Championship. Minerva and Charlie stare at one another, but the staredown doesn’t last long as Minerva begins making her way towards the ring, not giving her challenger any more attention than needed as she also looks ready for Wicked Games.)
Rich Russillo: And now the EAW Champion is here, and that title is going to be on the line in one week’s time! I personally can’t wait to see how this is going to go, as Minerva’s incredible streak of offense may very well continue knowing the level she’s at right now!
(Minerva enters the ring and walks over to her side of the table. She picks up the microphone on her side, and before even taking a seat begins to speak.)
Minerva: Before I proceed with this contract signing, I want to make one thing very clear.
(Minerva turns her attention to Captain Charisma before continuing.)
Minerva: I understand that new rules have been added to Hardcore matches this season, but I hope you of all people understand that I don’t want this match reduced to a ten minutes. I want the time limit removed.
(The fans begin cheering hearing this from Minerva, knowing that this would open up the possibility of a far longer and even greater match in the Wicked Games main event despite the hardcore rules. Captain Charisma looks interested in the idea, and turns towards Charlie Marr after hearing this to see what his thoughts are on the situation.)
Charlie Marr: Really? You want to face me in a hardcore match *and* you want the time limit removed? You already dug your own grave when you spun the wheel, are you really ready to humiliate yourself without anything to bail you out?
Minerva: I’m not so sure that I’m the one being humiliated here. After all, I’d be surprised that you even showed your face tonight after what happened last week, but we all know how you operate by now.
(Charlie is annoyed by Minerva’s words, which isn’t helped by the fans cheers.)
Charlie Marr: Alright, then. Since you’re so confident, get rid of the time limit. In the end it won’t matter anyway, because it won’t take me more than ten minutes to beat you.
(The two opponents stare at each other, and seeing the approval from both of them, Captain Charisma just nods.)
Captain Charisma: Alright, then. Since it’s a free-per-view main event and both of you want it, we can forgo the time limit for this match.
(The crowd explodes with cheers, but Minerva and Charlie have not taken their eyes off of each other.)
Charlie Marr: You’re really stupid, you know that? I’m not Ronan Malosi or Daryl Kinkade. I’m not some joke for you to make fun of. You know why I held that title back when you were basically an afterthought around here? I held it because I was the best on the Voltage roster, and nothing’s changed. I’m still the best this brand has, and that Championship is the only thing stopping you from going back to being the nobody you used to be. Believe it or not this brand doesn’t need you. We’d be perfectly fine without you around here, because Voltage has me! I’m the only person on this entire roster that people pay to see, and after Wicked Games I’ll be holding BOTH of Voltage’s singles titles because not even the “best” this brand has to offer can hold a candle to me. That Championship doesn’t belong on your shoulder, and honestly I’d be ashamed of Captain Charisma for even letting you make it this far if he hadn’t spent the past few years since my departure from Voltage letting any bum on the roster hold the title. You’ve all made a mockery of the EAW Championship, and I’m gonna clean up your mess by ending this joke of a title reign.
(The crowd boos, but Minerva doesn’t look any more bothered by what Charlie had to say. Instead, Minerva finally takes a seat, before looking at the contract for the EAW Championship match.)
Minerva: I have to admit Charlie, I really do wonder how you’re able to show up every week with the attitude that you do, knowing that you’re far from the best that this brand has. You’ve been bested time and time again, forced to eat your words, or when it comes to Theron Nikolas pick a fight because you couldn’t accept defeat, and yet you continue wasting everyone’s time. While you were EAW World Champion I was holding the Unified Tag Team Championships with Constance Blevins, on my way to having the longest tag title reign this company has ever seen. While you were reaching the peak of your career I was only just getting started, and even at that peak you had Veena Adams by your side to constantly bail you out. That’s why you became EAW Champion, and history will not be repeating itself at Wicked Games. I’m not Malcolm Jones, and this isn’t 2019. The sooner you realize that, the less embarrassment you’ll face once I’ve defeated you. I’m not the EAW Champion because of a lack of competition or because I was given an undeserved opportunity, I’m the EAW Champion because nobody was good enough to stop me. There’s a lot of people on this brand that’s found tons of success elsewhere, including you. You’ve done nearly everything there is to do, including an induction to the Hall of Fame, and when the bell rings I’m still going to do to you exactly what I’ve done to the rest of my opponents.
(The crowd explodes with cheers as Charlie Marr remains silent for a few seconds, not saying anything until he suddenly starts to laugh.)
Charlie Marr: You’re funny, Minerva. Really funny. I didn’t peak with my EAW Championship reign. Hell I’m a far better competitor now than I was back in 2019, and I’ve been proving that with this Hardcore Championship reign. You know that. You know exactly what I’m capable of. You know that I can do it all, whether it’s playing by the rules or getting my hands dirty and turning my match into a bloodbath, so you must have some serious issues if you still think that there’s ever been a point that you’ve been better than me. There’s not a single day since this season started that you’ve been the best Elitist on the Voltage roster, and if you REALLY think that a few cheap losses against Elitists we both know don’t even belong in the ring with me are supposed to prove me wrong, you’re either lying to yourself or you haven’t been paying enough attention to your superior-
Minerva: Or I’m just not blind. I’m not too sure who you’re attempting to fool here, because by this point you should know that I can see right through you. You’re not the man that’ll end my title reign. Who knows, when it’s all said and done you might not even be the biggest threat I’ve faced, because believe it or not I enjoy facing Elitists who actually belong at the top. You’re not one of them, Charlie. You’re exactly where you belong right now. Facing the likes of Lexi and Roberto De La Rosa in hardcore matches month after month while you fail once it’s time to raise the level of competition.
Charlie Marr: You might want to rethink the blind part because you clearly have no idea what you’re getting into if that’s what you think of me. You do know why I’m a Hall of Famer, right? Or why I won the Hardcore Championship in the first place? Or why I’ve been winning titles before your name even meant anything in EAW? I held the Unified Tag Team Championships before you. I held the EAW Championship before you. You can name anything you’ve done in this company and I can guarantee that I’ve already done it better and that alone SHOULD tell you what kind of competitor you’re going up against, but you just don’t get it. This is MY show. This is MY ring, and you’re holding MY title. I didn’t use my favor for this match just because I thought I could beat you. I used my favor for this match because I knew you didn’t stand a chance against me. It was only a matter of time until I became World Champion again, and I wasn’t going to let anybody stop me from taking back what’s mine. You just happen to be the one in my way.
Minerva: I see. Well in that case..
(Minerva signs the contract, causing loud cheers to come from the crowd. Minerva places the contract on the table, and stares directly at Charlie Marr as she continues to speak.)
Minerva: I’m sure you’d love to know that you now have the opportunity to take “your” title back, because I’m not backing out of this match. I’m not scared of you. I’m not too sure why anybody would be. If you want the EAW World Championship, all you have to do is sign that contract and beat me. It sounds simple enough, yet I’ve given this entire roster the chance to do exactly that and here I am, completely unscathed. I’ve held multiple open challenges, there’s already been a contendership match for my title, and I’ve competed constantly even without my title on the line, and nobody has been able to do what you seem to think will be easy. How many times should I have to do this until you realize that the problem isn’t the Voltage roster being full of untalented wrestlers, but me simply being too good at what I do to be taken down by any of you? Sign the contract, Charlie. Just get this over with, because it’s pretty clear to me that you intend to enter Wicked Games as delusional as ever. If you think I should fear you, give me a reason to. If you think I don’t deserve to be EAW Champion, take this title from me.
(The staredown continues, until finally Charlie picks up the contract.)
Charlie Marr: I will.
(Charlie signs the contract, causing even louder cheers.)
Charlie Marr: I just hope you’re not expecting to easily find your way back to another title reign after Wicked Games. If you thought my last reign with the EAW Championship was great just wait until Wicked Games is over. The Hardcore Championship and the EAW Championship will be staying by my side for a very long time. It may not be 2019 anymore, but if you want to be Champion again once this pathetic reign is over your best bet would be digging Constance Blevins up and chasing and heading back to the tag division, because no matter how many times you face me, you will lose. When this is over I’m going to be double Champion. Just watch,
(The crowd boos loudly, but this changes as Minerva slowly rises out of her seat, raising the EAW World Championship. The fans cheer loudly as the EAW Champion and Hardcore Champion stare at each other with nothing but hatred on their faces.)
James Peters: And that title is what this is all for, the EAW World Championship! This Hardcore match is going to be amazing, and while I can’t say for sure who’ll win, I can say that both Elitists look extremely confident in their chances of winning this match!
Rich Russillo: This match has the potential to be incredible, and completely steal the show at Wicked Games! These two are some of the best Voltage has to offer, and I don’t know, guys. We may see a new EAW World Champion!
Persephone: I don’t know! I am just so invested in this match that I’d be happy with anybody winning! I’m definitely looking forward to this just because they’re both so great. I don’t even care about the hardcore rules.
James Peters: :usure: Right. Well, that’s all the time we have for tonight. These two are looking to have an amazing match, and I can’t wait to see it. As always I’m James Peters and with me are Rich Russillo and Persephone Tsitsipas. Goodnight everyone, and we’ll see you next week for Wicked Games!
(By this point, Charlie Marr has gotten out of his seat already, and is now holding up his Hardcore Championship. Both Champions are now holding their titles up, staring each other down. This is the final image shown as Voltage comes to a close, and the camera fades to black for the final time before Wicked Games.)
(EAW logo buzzes.)
