(Showdown opens up with a recap of Pain for Pride talking about Showdown’s side of things. Kirk Redwood defeats Scott Diamond and Terry Chambers. Auburn Ware defeats Madison Kaline and Madison is forced to retire. SOSA Henderson wins the 24/7 Battle Royale. Veena Adams defeats Miku Sakai and Raven Roberts to retain the National Elite Championship. Jon Kelton defeats Daryl Kinkade. Adam Lucas is unsuccessful at defeating Dr. Bethany Blue. Caroline defeats Solomon Stane in the Buried Alive Match. Donovan Duke wins the Cash in the Vault Match. KASAI retained the Specialists Championship against Usagi Senshi and Mia Santoro. And finally, TLA defeats Ms. Extreme to become the Answers World Champion.)
(The recap ends, and it is replaced with the song “Brick Wall” by a Day to Remember, as the camera pans around the inside of The Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fireworks are shooting out of the stage and the whole crowd can be seen cheering and being excited for the start of a new season. The camera ends up panning over to the commentary table with Deadprez, Eve and Gavin Kirkland as the commentators looked incredibly excited and ready.)
Eve: WELCOME EVERYONE… TO SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN! WELCOME TO SEASON 18!!!
Deadprez: NEW MATCHES, NEW CHAMPIONS, NEW ROSTER, NEW EXCITING FEUDS TO LOOK FORWARD TO EVERY SINGLE WEEK, ONCE AGAIN, WE WRESTLE HERE IN SHOWDOWN!
Eve: We have a lot to look forward to as well starting off tonight, we got La Familia going up against Hardcore Luna, Nikki Kimura and Raeangel Guzmán, Ryan Wilson against Miku Sakai, and the notorious Harper Lee facing Ruler!
Deadprez: We also got none other than Jon Kelton facing the 24/7 Contract Holder SOSA Henderson and finally, in the main event, Milli Banks and Bronson Daniels face the Answers World Champion TLA and Mr. Cash in the Vault Donovan Duke!
Gavin Kirkland: AND WITH THE NEW SEASON, WE START OFF WITH THE INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL GENERAL MANAGER, KENNEDY STREET! LET’S GET THE SHOW STARTED, WOOOO!
(“Her” by Megan Thee Stallion plays throughout the arena as Kennedy Street slowly walks out, she looks around and smiles as the crowd breaks out boos, some cheers. Kennedy smirks as she makes it to the ring.)
Gina Romano: PLEASE WELCOME AT THIS TIME…. THE SHOWDOWN GENERAL MANAGER…. KENNEDY STREET!
(The crowd continues to boo; some cheer as the gorgeous General Manager steps into the ring to cat calls with a mic in hand. She has a huge smile on her face as the music slowly dies down.)
Kennedy Street: EAW Universe…. IT IS SEASON 18…. AND THIS IS SHOWDOWN!
(The crowd erupts again this time in cheers and start to chant.)
Crowd: THIS IS SHOWDOWN!!! THIS IS SHOWDOWN!!! THIS IS SHOWDOWN!!!
(Kennedy Street brushes her long blonde hair back, before turning to the crowd again to speak.)
Kennedy Street: It is a very exciting time to be an EAW fan. Dynasty, Voltage, and Showdown, the rosters and the company were turned upside down, the landscape has changed and both Alana Starr and me, Kennie feel like we had an incredible draft with some of the absolute best Elitists in the world.
(She paces for a second.)
Kennedy Street: We have Milli Banks, the Universal Women’s Champion! Veena Adams the National Elite Champion. The Unified Tag team Champions, The Jaded Hearts. Names like Bronson Daniels, Charlie Marr, SOSA Henderson, Donovan Duke, Harper Lee, Miku Sakai, Aria Lestrade, Cody Maverick, Jon Kelton, and so much more.
(The crowd cheers at the sound of those names.)
Kennedy Street: La Familia! Ruler! Ryan Joseph Wilson! Auburn Ware! Hardcore Luna! Nikki Kimura! And more! But you see honey, even with that deep roster and Midsummer Massacre only three weeks away to kick off the first of many Marquee Events for the EAW in Season 18, this is a pivotal one for the Blue Brand, here is why. This is technically my third season as General Manager, even though I have only been on the job less than two years. Showdown has not won a Territorial Invasion and this year…. WE WILL!
(Another huge pop comes from the Charlotte, North Carolina crowd as Kennedy is eating it all up. She though takes a second before she points to the back.)
Kennedy Street: But there is ONE person that I have not mentioned, and I would like to introduce them at this time…. THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION….. “LA PANTERA SEXUAL” TLA!
(Ambitionz az a Ridah’ by Tupac starts to play throughout the arena as TLA slowly walks out. The crowd explodes in cheers as the pyro goes off, TLA hoists up the Answers World Championship before making his way to the ring.)
Deadprez: We are joined by the Answers World Champion, TLA! And the competition here is going to be stiff! We are talking about a roaster that has some of the most talented in the company and there is one thing TLA has and that is a bullseye!
Eve: Cash in the Vault and 24/7 Contract winners now on the Blue Brand and that alone is going to be pretty awesome on its own to see TLA who is one of the best at everything he does, fend off these challenges!
Gavin Kirkland: He can do it, doesn’t matter who it is and where it is, TLA has proven without a shadow of a doubt that he can fend anyone off, and with the competition the way it is now, he needs to be one tough hombre!
(TLA heads to the ring, he high fives some fans, he then gets to the ring, steps in with the Answers World Championship over his shoulder, Kennedy shakes his hand and gives TLA the mic as he holds the ropes open for his General Manager as she steps out and heads to the back, his theme slowly fades.)
TLA: SHOWDOWN! YOUR BOI ESTA AQUI!!!
(Huge cheers ring out for TLA.)
Crowd: TLA!!!! TLA!!!! TLA!!!! TLA!!!! TLA!!!!
TLA: Gracias. You know that we are reppin’ Season 18 now with the Answers World Championship and TLA is gonna have to be on that quickness since we have a bunch of vatos that hold on to them contracts and briefcase, know what I’m sayin’? Your boi needs to have a swivel en sus cabeza since we gotta a lot of vatos with a chance to have a cash in.
(TLA pauses for a moment, before he then looks out at the crowd, and at the backstage area directing everything on the new roster members and the returning ones in the back.)
TLA: See, I’m a reasonable chingon, the mero mero of the Showdown Brand who holds the Answers World Championship Y no tiene miedo a no one! But I gotta shout out Ms. Extreme, that loca came for this title and she almost had it, the fierceness, she was all up on my business. But this is Showdown, and Season 18. That is what’s most important that no one wants to address, that TLA is still the hombre to beat, homie. See, your boi was at the draft, vato. I saw a bunch of great Elitists with that fuego coming to MY Brand, Showdown is TLA’s casa now!
(The fans continue to cheer.)
Crowd: TLA!!! TLA!!! TLA!!!! TLA!!!! TLA!!!! TLA!!!!
(TLA nods at the warm reception, he then points at the crowd and pumps his chest, though he looks right into the camera to speak.)
TLA: So, I’m going to leave you with this, vatos. See, TLA is the Rey of the Blue Brand, he is the one that holds the Answers World Championship. Midsummer Massacre is THREE weeks away, we ain’t got no time to play, no mas juegos. Your boi is making a challenge now. ANYONE back there, you want a title match? By the end of the Showdown, buey? I better see someone steppin’ up with the quickness. Come and get it. Orale!

Deadprez: He has laid down the challenge! Showdown is starting off hot and he said by the end of the show, someone better step up! I cannot wait to see who has the guts to face TLA and go after the Answers World Championship!
Eve: And he addressed the cash in, even told them to step up, TLA is dealing with it now and that is very smart but also dangerous!
Gavin Kirkland: I told you he was ready! That is my hombre!
(TLA continues to pose with the Answers World Championship as the scene fades into a commercial break.)
(As Showdown fades back in from commercial break, the camera focuses on Gina Romano ready to announce the participants of the first match.)
Gina Romano: The following is the OPENING contest on Showdown SEASON 18 and it is scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
( ‘Vroom’ by Hoodie Allen & Connor Price begins playing as Nikki Kimura emerges from the back, tagging multiple fans on her way to the ring. She has a focused expression on her face, ready to get back on track. “‘Ich Tu Dir Weh” by Rammstein plays soon after, introducing Hardcore Luna! Flaming firing off the background as she rides down in her Harley Davidson motorcycle! Then finally, her music fades and “The War is Over” by TRUSTcompany as Raeangel Guzman comes down to the ring for the first time. She was still as confident as ever.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first, the team of “THE ANCHOR” NIIKKKKIIII KIIMMMUURRRAAAAA, HARDCORE LUNA, AND RAEANGEL GUZMAN!
(‘Peligro’ by Peso Pluma plays and each member of La Familia steps up. Brianna Hill, Luis Del La Rosa and finally…Roberto Del La Rosa! Looking from on top of the stage, like they were observing what was there. Luis taps the chest of Roberto and points down to the ring. They both chuckle and begin to walk down to the ring.)
Gina Romano: AND THEIR OPPONENT, the team of ROBERTO DEL LA ROSA, LUIS DEL LA ROSA, AND BRIANNA HILL! LA FAMILIA!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Gavin Kirkland: This match is underway and is the first time we see La Familia on Showdown! After getting drafted, they want to take their talent to the blue brand and make their impact here. Only time will tell how well that will go for them, but they have the tools to succeed! Especially under the leadership of former EAW Hardcore Champion Roberto Del La Rosa! Brianna Hill is starting this match for her team, with Raeangel Guzman starting for her team. A massive night, the first episode of the Season — these six individuals will show if they are a worthwhile investment.
Eve: No more factual statement could be made. This match is less random and more about what each individual can bring to Showdown. They have to be competing at the top of their game. Raeangel locks hands with Brianna Hill, making soft touches as Raeangel slowly gets Brianna to the mat! Guzman isn’t waiting any longer to do some damage here, pulling up on Hill’s nostrils! Trying to rearrange the face, throwing hard hooks, sending her into the corner. Raeangel is taking an early advantage in this match. Having early offense in a game like this from the start is a must!
Deadprez: Yeah, especially in a match like this, you want to make sure that any partners that could be tagged in aren’t able to compete and shuffle out with better conditions. La Familia, despite their struggles, knows this very well! Raeangel whipping Brianna into the corner- BUT HILL HOPPING UP AND OVER GUZMAN AS SHE CHARGES IN! Brianna tries to catch Raeangel with a clothesline, but Guzman steps out! Hill goes crashing into the corner! Raeangel is again going on the attack- BUT BRIANNA CATCHES HER WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE! She climbs to the middle rope and leaps off, catching Guzman with an arm drag! Raeangel rolls back to her feet- BUT GETS CAUGHT IN A PACKAGE PIN!
Gavin Kirkland: Not even getting one count, Raeangel kicks out sitting upright, which is perfect for a kick to the back! Brianna runs to the ropes and comes charging back with a low dropkick to the back of Guzman’s head! A gnarly kick and now-

Gavin Kirkland: Brianna is making the tag to Luis De La Rosa! Luis is getting into the ring, Brianna cupping her hands together. What are they planning? It looks like a double-team move, Luis using Brianna’s hands as leverage- MOONSAULT ONTO RAEANGEL! What great chemistry by La Familia, showing their skills in trio matches! Luis is hooking the leg, looking for an early victory!

Eve: To Hardcore Luna! Luna gets straight into the ring and kicks Luis in the rib cage! Luna is getting in there, looking for a German Suplex- However, Luis still has some fight in him, fighting out of her grip and throwing her across the ring with an arm drag!
Deadprez: Luna, getting back up, Luis ran towards it, but it caught with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker- BUT ONCE AGAIN, LUIS COUNTERS WITH AN ARMDRAG! Luna stands up, still confused, looking around to stumble into another arm drag! Luis is keeping a lock on Luna’s arm! La Familia has completely controlled this match since the opening bell! Luis takes Luna and walks her to his corner-

Deadprez: The pack’s leader, former EAW Hardcore Champion Roberto De La Rosa, comes in! Luis is holding out Luna’s arm, and Roberto slams down on it with a hammer fist! Now, he is getting some of his offense in, hitting her with a right hook and quickly taking possession of that arm!
Gavin Kirkland: La Familia is showing off how good they are, even after dropping a member — they are showing without a shadow of a doubt that they are as tight-knit as they come. Nobody is going to tear them apart, and no team is going to contest them. Luna is trying to get Roberto in the corner, but Roberto is quick to switch positions, throwing out right jabs to the face! Luna uses an opening to grab Roberto’s arm and whips him into the other corner! Yet again, Roberto showed his agility, leaping over Luna! Luna turns around- ROBERTO HOOKING THE UNDERARM AND TOSSING HER TO THE MAT!
Eve: Luna is getting back up JUST TO GET SENT BACK DOWN WITH A DEEP ARMDRAG! Roberto is now controlling that arm, Luna slowly getting back to her feet- STOMPING ON THE TOES OF ROBERTO! Giving herself an open to make the

Eve: Nikki Kimura is now in this match for the first time; let’s see if she can get some offense over on her team’s side! Going for a high kick- BUT ROBERTO DUCKS IT! Slipping behind Nikki and hitting an atomic drop! Sending her stumbling forward into a forearm strike by Brianna Hill on the apron! She tumbles back to Roberto, who sends another strike to the temple! She goes bumbling back the other way- JUST TO GET HIT AGAIN THIS TIME BY LUIS ON THE APRON!
Deadprez: It looks like Nikki is getting caught in a cycle: back to Roberto with a strike and to Brianna with another strike! Nikki, trying to find some footing back, ends up in the arms of Roberto, who hits a perfect North North SUPLEX! Right into the pin, the referee started the count!

Deadprez: Nikki managed to kick out at two! It’s not a problem for Roberto, who picks Nikki up by the arm and drags her to his corner. Making another-

Deadprez: To Luis! He gets into the ring and immediately attacks the arm that Roberto holds in his hand! Things are not looking good for Nikki Kimura and her team!
Gavin Kirkland: Luis continues attacking Nikki, throwing out ses and getting her back against the corner. He immediately follows up with an Irish whip! Kimura’s back is slamming into the opposite corner! Luis is charging at her- LUCKILY NIKKI MANAGES TO LIFT LUIS UP AND OVER! Luis lands on his feet on the apron! Kimura is going for a strike, but Luis manages to catch it, throwing one of his own before locking hands with Nikki! Luis is climbing to the top turnbuckle and looking to walk the ropes for a maneuver- NO! Raeangel is shaking the ropes, making Luis lose balance! Tricky landing between the legs. That is something you feel for weeks afterward!
Eve: La Familia is not about to stand by and let Raeangel get involved! Especially when Raeangel is yelling obscenities at them! Brianna and Roberto are getting into the ring! Luna is getting in to help Nikki stop them! The ring is in complete chaos; both teams are arguing and fighting while the referee tries to break them apart! Why isn’t Raeangel not helping her team, though? She is standing behind, watching Luis…WAIT! LOWBLOW! KICK BELOW THE BELT BY RAEANGEL WHILE THE REFEREE WAS DISTRACTED WITH THE CHAOS! Sending Luis back down to the mat, this time for even longer! You have to start making theories. Did Raeangel spark a flame just to give her team the advantage?
Deadprez: It’s possible, but her teammates don’t seem to appreciate it as much as she thought they would. Starting an all-out war like that could get them disqualified. I don’t even think they noticed what she did while they were distracted by each other! What’s done is done, and they have a match to win. Raeangel-

Deadprez: Tags herself in and wants to take advantage of Luis! Walking up to his arm, she spreads it and steps on his hand. Leaping up and then STOMPING ON IT! The more hurt the hand, the less he is inclined to do punches!

Gavin Kirkland: Luna is getting tagged in and immediately getting into action! Hooking Luis’s arms, picking him up, and dropping him with a butterfly DDT! I quickly went for a pin but could not even get a one-count! She stays on Luis, grabs onto Luis’s head, and picks him going for a–

Gavin Kirkland: Getting Nikki Kimura back into the match! They are now getting a flow, stopping La Familia’s momentum! Luna delivers a chop to Luis’s chest before exiting! Nikki is getting on, Luis! Whipping Luis to the ropes- coming back towards her, and running into a kick to the midsection! Kimura runs to the ropes, springboarding off the ropes into a DDT!
Eve: Luis is trying to recover quickly, but Nikki is already in his space, grabbing him from behind, lifting him up and dropping him hard with a back-body drop. Nikki immediately goes for a pin!

Eve: KICK OUT BY LUIS; however, now isn’t the time to give up. Nikki picked Luis up and placed him on the ropes, dripping him over and delivering hard kicks to the chest! Over and over, making him feel each strike! The referee had to step in and separate Nikki. She got too carried away and needed to maintain some level of headedness. BUT LOOK- Guzman grabbing Luz by the tights and pulling him to the floor! Crashing hard! No matter how much padding is on the floor, that still hurts like hell!
Deadprez: La Familia is arguing at ringside. Still not a fan of Guzman’s underhanded tactics! It doesn’t seem to be Nikki and Luna’s style, but Raeangel appears to be taking full advantage of any chance they can attack! Like right now! As they are again arguing, Raeangel throws down punches at Luis before throwing him back into the ring! Pretending like nothing happened! This is Guzman’s first match in EAW, and she is already willing to do anything to win. That might not be the case for everyone, but if your team wins the match, what can you do? Complain about it? I don’t think so.
Gavin Kirkland: Nikki Kimura, using the opportunity to try get the pin attempt!

Gavin Kirkland: Not enough to get the victory, however she isn’t willing to give him any space. Locking in his head and pulling him up to his feet! Leaning against their corner, he allows Luna to tag herself in! Nikki grabbing him by the legs, dropping him on his back! Kimura drops down, popping him up into a dropkick by Luna! Finally looking like a team here! As La Familia looks disgruntled at ringside- WOAH! Raeangel pulling out Brianna Hill’s foot! Her jaw collided with the apron! Roberto quickly gets off the apron and confronts Raeangel but Nikki comes over!
Nikki Kimura: (off mic) What are you doing? This isn’t how I want this match to play out! I don’t care what you do on your own but I want things to be clean!
Raeangel Guzman: (off mic) It’s attitude like that keeps you from winning matches! Maybe if you stop standing on a soap box you’d be somebody!
(Nikki Kimura shoves Raeangel!)
Nikki Kimura: (off mic) I don’t care if you’re on my team or not, if you keep talking to me that way then I promise you. I’ll kick your teeth down your throat!
Eve: This isn’t what they need right now! A tear in an already loosely held together team. They seemed to be pissed off at each other, getting ready to face off against each other- RAEANGEL DUCKS OUT OF THE WAY! BRIANNA HITTING KIMURA IN THE FACE! Raeangel is trying now to get away from Brianna Hill as she chases her down! In the ring, Luna is continuing to keep Luis on the ropes! Getting him leaned against the corner; she delivered hard kicks to the chest until he fell to the mat! Luna, bending down grabbing his legs looking to lift him up and slam him down on his back- BUT LUIS WITH A FLIP! He lands on his feet and kicks Luna away!
Deadprez: Luis running towards Luna! Spinning around her with a tilt-a-whirl…DDT SPIKE BY LUIS! Finally opening up some space for him to make the tag! Luis began crawling to his corner, while Luna began to make it to her own. It seems like whoever gets that tag first is going to be the one to take control of this match! Luis within arm reach, Luna just about in her corner! The crowd is on their feet, waiting to see who tags who first…

Deadprez: They both do it at the same time! Raeangel is in the ring and so is Brianna Hill! Raeangel goes for the clothesline but Brianna ducks it! Guzman turns around right into a hurricanrana! Sending her to the mat hard!
Gavin Kirkland: Raeangel is dazed, looking for Brianna only to get caught with a “BREAKTHROUGH” , a running Enziguri taking down Guzman! Hill was quick to the cover!

Gavin Kirkland: NIKKI AND LUNA MANAGING TO GET IN ON TIME TO BREAK THE PIN! But La Familia wasn’t going to take that from the apron! Roberto and Luis enter the ring and take the fight to the two! ROBERTO PUSHING NIKKI INTO THE REFEREE! KNOCKING HIM OUT OF THE RING! THAT MAY PROVE FATAL! Roberto taking his eyes off of Nikki, turning around into a SUPERKICK! Knocking him out of the ring!
Eve: Got to keep your eyes peeled when you’re in the ring- LIKE NOW! NIKKI GETTING CAUGHT WITH A SUPERKICK TO THE FACE BY LUIS! She drops to her knees and gets hit with a second one to the back of the head! Sending her out of the ring along with Roberto! Luis looking to make an exit to get the referee- BUT HERE COMES LUNA! A KNEE TO THE FACE! SENDING LUIS OUT OF THE RING! Hardcore Luna able to clear the ring of La Familia members! This might be the way to an upset victory-
Deadprez: BRIANNA HILL GRABBING LUNA! LIFTING HER UP WITH A ROLLING CUTTER! THE “CRUSH CULTURE” TAKING OUT LUNA! SENDING LUNA ON HER WAY OUT! NOW BOTH TEAMS ARE OUT! IT’S DOWN TO RAEANGEL AND BRIANNA HILL TO TAKE IT HOME! The question is where is Raeangel? We have been focusing on the chaos that we haven’t spotted Guzman- WAIT! LOOK! GUZMAN SLIDING INTO THE RING WITH A CHAIR! SHE SWINGS IT AT BRIANNA- BUT SHE MISSED! THE CHAIR BOUNCED OFF THE ROPES AND BACK INTO THE FACE OF RAEANGEL! A major backfire! Stumbling backwards into the arms of Brianna Hill!
Gavin Kirkland: “FALL RIGHT INTO ANOTHER “CRUSH CULTURE” LIFTING ROLLING CUTTER! BRIANNA COVERING GUZMAN! The official got back into the ring and counted the pin attempt!

Gina Romano: HERE IS YOUR WINNER…BRIANNA HILL, ROBERTO AND LUIS DEL LA ROSA…LA FAMILIA!!!
Eve: La Familia managed to pick up a massive victory for their team in their Showdown debut! Nikki, Luna, and Raeanhel fought hard and even had them on the ropes in the second half. But in the end, there is nothing more powerful than family.
Deadprez: Kinda like a certain movie franchise. Congratulations to La Familia and amazing effort by their opponents! The season is still young, and I am sure we’ll see big things from each one of them.
(As La Familia began to exit the ring, Raeangel sat in the ring looking distraught. Nikki and Luna come into the ring, angrily looking at Guzman.)
Nikki Kimura: (off mic) If you played things by the book, this wouldn’t have happened!
Hardcore Luna: (off mic) I can’t believe you cost us this match, we almost had it!
(Nikki and Luna began to leave, the harsh words turning Raeangel’s disappointment into anger. Taking the chair, she had and SWINGING IT INTO THE BACK OF LUNA!)
Gavin Kirkland: NO WAY! RAEANGEL TAKING OUT LUNA WITH THE CHAIR! NIKKI KIMURA- GETTING HIT IN THE MIDSECTION WITH THE CHAIR! NOW SLAMMING IT DOWN ON HER BACK AS WELL!
Eve: RAEANGEL IS ASSAULTING HER TEAMMATES WITH THAT CHAIR! The loss combined with those words must have sparked something in her!
(When Raeangel finished the assault, she looked down at the two with disgust. Tossing the chair away and exiting the ring, looking at La Familia who stood to the side and watched. She scoffed, walking back up the ramp.)
(Despite her actions in the match, Roberto and the others in La Familia saw something… in Raeangel Guzman. As the scene fades to black.)
(The camera shifts backstage where Kyra Phillips is standing by. )
Kyra Phillips: Hello fans! Welcome to Season 18 of the EAW and Showdown! I am Kyra Phillips, and we are so excited to be entering a brand new year for the EAW and what a draft! There was so much movement, some familiar faces are gone, others are still here, and one of them is none other than Auburn Ware!
(Auburn Ware skips in wearing a baseball cap backwards and a contentious smile on her face.)
Auburn Ware: Hi, Kyra!
Kyra Phillips: Hey, Auburn! It was a huge night for you at Pain For Pride: Kingdom, the opportunity to face Madison Kaline on Night one of the huge events, not even a year in the EAW and you were able to get a marquee match at the biggest event of the year, your thoughts.
Auburn Ware: It was amazing, I cannot even explain the feeling. To be a part of Pain For Pride was a dream come true, but even after that, to face Madison Kaline was an even bigger deal. She created this tournament, and I won it fair and square, but let’s be real, her arrogance definitely got in the way.
Kyra Phillips: Which leads to my next question. Madison Kaline put her career on the line, she walked into Pain For Pride confident that she was going to defeat you, and instead she came out the loser. Some call it an upset, but you are now responsible for ending the career of a Hall of Famer like Maddie.
(Auburn realizes that and takes a second with a deep breath, before she turns back to the camera and continues speaking.)
Auburn Ware: Actually Kyra, Madison is responsible. She is the one that chose the stipulation. I was alright just defeating her, but instead she wanted to make an example out of me. It was an honor just wrestling her, Kyra, win or lose, because the experience itself was what counted, but not even a year into my stay here in the EAW, and suddenly I find myself retiring a Hall of Famer? It is pretty wild.
Kyra Phillips: As we saw, Madison Kaline is gone, but this is a new season, and you were drafted by Showdown again! What does that mean to you?
Auburn Ware: It means everything to me, Kyra. Pain For Pride was my moment and no one can say that their first PFP they retired a legend, right? I did, btu that isn’t going to get to my head, I know the work I need to put in, the time and effort, the chances that will come when I bust my butt to get there I am ready for everything that comes my way and while I retired a legend, I am just getting started.
Kyra Phillips: Thank you so much for the time, Auburn, I know that you are going to do great.
Auburn Ware: Thank you so much for this time, Kyra, and I look forward to this season –
(Before she can finish her sentence though, she turns around to find Miku Sakai standing behind her.)
Auburn Ware: Can I help you?
Miku Sakai: No… not really.
Auburn Ware: Then why are you standing there?
Miku Sakai: Well, I couldn’t help but notice you bragging out here about retiring Madison Kaline, that’s great and all but that bitch had one foot in the grave and another on the banana peel, you did nothing special.
Auburn Ware: Right…. At least I won my Pain For Pride match.
(Miku Sakai tries to hold herself and smiles.)
Miku Sakai: Any of us could have beaten that old broad. Talk your shit, I can respect that, but one thing you are not is the bright new shiny toy on Showdown and –
(But before Miku Sakai could finish, she turns to see Aria Lestrade there smiling.)
Aria Lestrade: Ladies, I don’t mean to interrupt, but –
Miku Sakai: Then don’t.
Aria Lestrade: Yeah whatever. I see you two talking about the new season and let’s be honest here, this is a new season, new me! And while I appreciate your efforts, Auburn, Miku is right, you did beat a fossil. Oh, and as for you Miku, I don’t see the National Elite Championship around your waist. I came here for a little bit of clarity, if you do not mind and…
Auburn Ware: Oh, we do mind. I do not appreciate you two interrupting my interview time, I really don’t, so if you excuse me.
(As Auburn is about to walk off, she runs right into Brianna Hill who is still sweaty from her match just a few moments before this segment.)
Brianna Hill: Hola. I heard all of the ruckus and decided to come over here and see what was going on. Then I realized it was some Chiquita and two has-beens. Never mind, I’ll go hang out with the cool people.
Aria Lestrade: Cool people? Oh, I think you found the coolest person in this company, me.
(The other three women pause, turn to look at Aria and break out in laughter.)
Aria Lestrade: What is so funny?
Miku Sakai: You bitch, that is what’s funny. I mean why are you even here? Or you Brianna, the random girl from Voltage. Or even you, Auburn?
Auburn Ware: Uh… I was here first.
Miku Sakai: No one likes a smart ass, anyway, you are nothing, you are nothing and you are nothing. There is only one woman worth a damn here on Showdown and you are looking at her. Now, if you have a problem with that…. Well, we can fix it.
Auburn Ware: Guess then we do have a problem.
???: I think we have a huge problem.
(All the ladies turn to see Hardcore Luna who was just in the same match with Brianna Hill, her hair hanging down, looking a little worse for wear after the chair attack by Raeangel Guzman.)
Aria Lestrade: No offense Luna, but like important wrestlers are here right now talking, why don’t you be a doll and go back to the locker room and get me a bottle of water, please? Thank you.
Hardcore Luna: Really? That really doesn’t surprise me Aria, or anyone, but we have some unfinished business, Brianna.
Brianna Hill: We do? I’m done with you, pendeja.
Miku Sakai: OMG! Will you all shut the fuck up!?
Auburn Ware: You first.
(But before the women come to blows, Alana Starr comes out and she puts a stop to it quickly.)
Alana Starr: We are NOT going to do this on the first Showdown of Season 18. You five want at each other? Fine, Kennie just told me that she has given me free reign to find a resolution. So, at the Midsummer Massacre in just three weeks, it will be Auburn Ware versus Miku Sakai versus Aria Lestrade versus Brianna Hill versus Hardcore Luna and the winner? Gets a guaranteed future title opportunity.
(Alana doesn’t say another word and walks off leaving the five women impressed and ready to tear each other down for a future Championship match. The footage fades into a commercial break.)
[SCREEN BAR – Recorded Earlier]
(Showdown instead of it going into the arena where everyone else was, it instead focused over on the titantron, suddenly, it started up and a new completely changed up scenery was there, for everyone that was used to seeing this detective girl’s videos, it was clear that the sight was the office of one woman named Aria Lestrade. It slowly panned around before it quickly turned over towards one woman sitting right behind the desk, the main woman of that office. Aria. She wore a completely black face mask as she stared right at the lens of the camera, tilting her head.)
Aria Lestrade: This is not what you were expecting at all, is it? Sitting here in this office, looking straight through you and directly at the whole world watching, I will say it once and I will say it again no matter how many times my voice gives out, I am a Sacred Detective who never gives up and who will never stop fighting for a better world despite nobody wanting the same for me. That will never change at all from who ARIA or Aria Lestrade is supposed to be, but you all should probably end up getting a difference between the two, right?
(Aria slowly moved over down and went to grab something from under the desk, before finally, she moved her head up and then she placed the box down right in front of her. She looked straight at the camera once more before she opened the box and then she let everything pour out, it was various instantaneous pictures that were taken from Aria’s camera, most of them memories from all of her career in EAW as she slowly started to show them in front of the screen.)
Aria Lestrade: This, right here, is the woman that you would like to call ARIA. Such a strong and incredibly valiant woman, someone who went up against the danger that was around her, someone who did not let the horrible people around her tell her what to do, tell her how to live and enjoy her own life, she wanted to do so much more, she wanted to achieve every single dream that she genuinely believed in, she wanted to help so many people in her wake, I was so proud of her and what she ended up accomplishing for everyone, and everybody, she deserves to have her legacy carved in this company, she DESERVES to have all of the love and support of the people, and everyone decided to turn on her for no reason, and all just so you did not have any more chances of her staying and help everyone for the good of this company, nay, for the good of humanity…
(She slowly grabbed more pictures and started showing them off, her first match at EAW, the time that she spent together with both Usagi and Ayu, it was a big wave of nostalgia for her and for fans of her, or well, the fans that still stayed as she slowly put them down and spoke up.)
Aria Lestrade: Now, you are all probably very confused as to why I am talking in this kind of way, it is almost like everything that I said before in my years here sounds like… a lie, right? That I have been lying to all of you about who I really am? Well, not exactly. It was more like acting in a way, after all. Building up the perfect woman in every way and playing her to that perfection that she needs, what I showed was simply a part of me that got humbled in every way by the destruction around her, by the suffering that she was forced to endure for so many years, now… and you might think that was wrong of me to do in the first place, but come on, do you really think I am the only one? Other people around me do it too. It all starts with the fact that they use fake names for their own personas, almost nobody here uses their own real name. If you are truly real, if you are genuinely truthful, why do you start things off by using another name that is not yours? That is why I am using my real name right now to show you that I am not going to hide behind another person anymore, especially another woman that all of you unjustifiably, and undeservingly broke down.
(She moved over now to show more pictures, that of her winning the Specialists Championship, a photo together with Alex Myers, before she let out a small sigh.)
Aria Lestrade: I talked about my life completely alone, being an incredibly shy girl and being scared of the world but ever since I felt that I could have my first thought, I did not feel like I needed to be the one to step a foot forward first, I wanted them to come to me, I feel an air of arrogance because I felt more special than everyone else, you might say I was simply a dumb little kid but considering the superior and high intellect compared to everyone else and how the rest of my class would either end up in financial debt due to dumb decisions, it seems that I was the one with the most stable head there, but of course, due to that decision, I decided to let two girls who I thought could be trusted let my first friends, gigantic mistake that humbled me. When I first got my job as a detective, I felt power above everyone else simply because everyone else who came towards me had no other choice but to simply seek for my help, it fed my ego in every single way possible, it made me feel like, in other words, a God giving mercy to simple humans and striking those others who did not deserve it, only when I saw a man who did terrible things for a good reason, I was humbled. And then finally, the whole reason as to why I am wrestling here in the first place, you truly think I was JUST fascinated by winning championship gold, I wanted to get cheered! I wanted to be supported all around the world by people who understood me, who loved me with all of their hearts, I wanted the money, I wanted the fame, I wanted to be the only thing that was left in the simplistic minds of those who watched those shows, I craved for it in every single way and then, after so many losses, I got humbled… I believed that being Aria Lestrade was not really the way at life, and so I showed this towards you, this ARIA girl, someone who learned from all of her mistakes, someone who had no mistakes, no flaws, no nothing, the perfect hero that everyone could larp up and cheer in every single moment possible…
(And then, she took out a few last photos, and then dumped them all in the desk, showing it was almost every single important ARIA loss from her career.)
Aria Lestrade: And then you broke her. So many horrible people decided to completely tear her apart despite her best attempts at trying to help you all, at trying to SAVE THE WORLD, and now, she is completely gone, there is no way at all to get her back…
(She slowly pulled back on her face mask and her disfigured mouth covered in stitches as her eyes became full of genuine hatred and anger.)
Aria Lestrade: This is what you ended up revealing from your own little mistakes. You ended up revealing someone that is going to completely destroy everything you love and tear you apart if it is for the good of humanity. Do not get it wrong, I am not a completely different person, I based ARIA off of myself after all, I just prettied her up, I still have the same personality, I still have the same morals, I still have the same objectives of saving you all from yourselves, I still want what is best for the world, I am just not going to be as merciful, and I am going to be a little less nice about it, you know? It is what’s right for humanity.
(She slowly grabbed all of the photos and then dumped them back into the box, quickly putting the lid on it and then closing it down with force as she put her hands away and once again looked towards the screen with a sharp gaze.)
Aria Lestrade: I am the only one that can tell you the truth about everything, the truth about the twisted and sick world that all of you live in. You are born. Life sucks, and then you die. But… I am here to make life a little bit more fun before you all meet your inevitable death. Let me love you… before the fairy tale ends.
(A sick and twisted smile slowly forms on Aria’s face, before it abruptly cuts to the middle of nowhere in the night, the only thing lighting up the night aside from the moon… was the box full of photos surrounded in fire. And on that note, Showdown faded away from that segment.)
(the camera fades to ringside for the next match.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen… The following Singles Match is scheduled for ONE FALL!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!
( Olé by The Bouncing Souls plays over the sound system of the arena and the fans erupt in cheers as Ryan Joseph Wilson appears on stage looking pumped and ready for a fight! He high-fives fans as he moves closer to ringside, takes the occasional selfie with members of the crowd before moving past one of the cameramen and saying to the camera ‘Let’s Fucking GO!’ and walks on the ring apron. Respectfully wipes his boots and goes through the ropes before moving to a corner, climbing on the turnbuckle, and rousing the crowd up yell ”OLÉÉÉÉÉ OLÉ OLÉ OLÉÉÉÉÉ!!!” along with the song as the fans chant as well. )
Gina Romano: Introducing first… From Montréal, Québec, Canada… Weighing in at 225 pounds… RYAN… JOSEEEEEEEEEPH WILSOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!
Deadprez: The kids got heart and while not being able to win the 24/7 Battle Royale at Pain For Pride… That ain’t gonna stop “The Workhorse” because he’s dedicated to make his dreams come true!
Eve: Couldn’t agree with you more Prezzy, but we also can’t forget that last time Ryan Wilson was on Showdown things ended up going sour for him… Hopefully this time around he can turn things around because the fans would sure love to see that happen.
(As Ryan Wilson settles himself inside the ring his theme song slowly fades out as it is quickly replaced by ‘STFU!’ by Rina Sawayama as Miku Sakai comes out from the back with loud boos heard from the crowd as Miku makes her way down the ramp to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing his opponent… From Fukui, Japan… Weighing in at 110 pounds… MIKUUUUUUUUUU SAKAIIIIIIIIII!!!
Eve: Someone else looking to redeem themselves after the events of Pain For Pride, but unlike Ryan Wilson, Miku Sakai is VERY angry, and she’s going to definitely show that inside the ring here tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: Rightfully so because let’s face it peoole, Miku Sakai can do no wrong, and hey maybe this season is her season because we all need more Miku on our screens for sure!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Deadprez: That’s the bell as Ryan Wilson and Miku Sakai are looking to start the season on a high note with a massive dubya on their records as Ryan Wilson tries to go for a handshake, but Miku Sakai ain’t wasting anytime as she turns the handshake into an Irish Whip that sends Ryan towards the rope as he bounces back toward Miku who’s prepared to hit him with a good ole’ Monkey Flip!
Eve: Not so fast as Ryan Wilson is able to land on his feet! Now that right there is VERY impressive sending a loud message to start the season off that he’s ready to make his dreams come true even if he failed at Pain For Pride Kingdom to win the 24/7 Contract, of course won by none other than SOSA Henderson.
Gavin Kirkland: Only dream I want to see come true is the one where I get to see Miku next to me… Only in a perfect word I suppose which means that Ryan Wilson is going to have to do more than just an impressive counter to a Monkey Flip to make miracles come tr- Oh! Miku Sakai tries running up on Ryan Wilson as he quickly takes her down with an impressive Headlock Takedown! He’s not done just yet as he mounts her and starts wailing punches nonstop with a Ground and Pound! Punch after punch as Ryan Wilson is looking more motivated than ever!
Deadprez: Motivation can be hell of a key to get the job done as Ryan goes for another punch, but Miku Sakai was waiting for it as she’s able to squeeze her leg between Ryan Wilson and herself quickly kicking him away from her before dragging herself on the outside of the apron. Slowly getting back onto her feet, Ryan Wilson tries to approach Miku Sakai to bring her back in the ring, but Miku Sakai is able to hit “The Workhorse” with a stiff ass Elbow to the face! Awwww baby it looks like she was playin’ possum as she uses the ropes to hit Ryan with a beautiful Springboard Forearm!
Eve: As it connects, Miku is not wasting any time of course to try to get the cover on Ryan Wilson! The referee goes to check for the count, but Ryan Wilson kicks out before a one count showcasing how resilient the Québécois truly has become since chasing his dreams of holding championship gold once again! Still, he’s facing a very angry Miku as she mounts on top of Ryan now giving him a taste of his own medicine throwing punch after punch.
Gavin Kirkland: Harder! Harder! Harder! OH YEAH! That’s what I’m talking about baby! That right there is what the fans love about our Miku Sakai… Ruthless aggression that would make any man scared and a little tur-
Deadprez: C’mon man have some damn shame! Miku though shamelessly continues her beat down on Ryan Wilson, but Ryan is able to grab onto her arm as he quickly drags her to the side freeing himself from her grasp! Ryan Wilson ain’t done though baby as he’s looking to keep the advantage on his side as he quickly runs to ropes showing that Miku ain’t the only one who can cook with them ropes! Ryan Wilson is looking for a Springboard Legdrop as he’s able to connect it effortlessly while continuing to target Miku’s head with a Knee Drop on her head!
Eve: Miku Sakai is able to move out of the way at the last minute as she pulls herself out of the ring and makes her way to our announce table using it as support for herself to slowly get up…
Gavin Kirkland: Looks like someone needs some help and I know the perfect man to help out someone as beautiful as Miku… Hold my headset Prezzy a gentleman is clearly in ne-
(Eve quickly pulls Gavin Kirkland back to his seat before smacking him with some rolled up papers as Miku Sakai slowly makes it up on her feet while Ryan Wilson runs the ropes inside the ring.)
Eve: Watch the match Gavin! Miku Sakai finally has gotten back on her two as she slowly turns around, but she wasn’t ready for Ryan Wilson as he goes through the middle ropes and connects with a beautiful Suicide Dive! It’s as clear as say that Ryan is pulling out everything he’s got here today in his efforts of not only proving anyone that doubts him that he is ready to make his championship dreams come true, but also looking to impress everyone here on Showdown to make up for how things turned out last time he was here!
Gavin Kirkland: He can try to impress people all he wants, but he should try to do that inside the ring as the referee has given them their final warning before he starts the count. Ryan Wilson quickly picks up Miku Sakai however as he’s looking to Irish Whip Miku Sakai back into ring as he wants to do things right, but the always perfect Miku Sakai is able to reverse the Irish Whip into one of her own as she throws Ryan Wilson directly onto the apron!
Referee: ONE!

Deadprez: That’s gotta hurt the back. Miku Sakai ain’t done just yet though as she picks up that brotha real quick as she throws him back first onto OUR TABLE! C’mon man watch out we got a job to do here as well! Ah, it ain’t like any of you listen anyways as Miku just throws that boy back inside the ring as she takes her sweet time to get inside that ring.
Eve: Ryan Wilson slowly gets back up though as he currently kneels with one knee, Miku however notices this as she runs the ropes and connects with a Running Knee right to the hea- NO! Ryan Wilson grabs onto Miku’s leg as he quickly uses his strength and power to pick her up and position her for a Sidewalk Slam right in the middle of the ring! He’s not done just yet though as he drags Miku a bit closer to the left turnbuckle as he quickly gets to the top rope as he looks to connect with a devastating ELBOW DROP!
Gavin Kirkland: Connect he does as Ryan lands that beautifully before covering Miku Sakai for a quick pin cover… C’mon my sweet princess kick out for everyone’s favorite commentary legend himself, Gavin Kirkland!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Deadprez: We ain’t done just as Miku gets that shoulder up before the two count as things clearly have just started for both elitists in this match. Ryan ain’t done with those mighty elbows as he’s looking to hit poor Miku with a couple of Repeated Flashing Elbow Drops as he goes for the first one… Miku gets out of the way with cat-like reflexes as Ryan tries to get back up quickly, but Miku Sakai quickly rolls up Ryan Wilson from behind hoping this distraction can help her pick up the dubya here tonight!

Eve: Not just yet as Ryan Wilson kicks out of the quick roll up as Miku slowly tries to roll out of the ring, yet Ryan isn’t letting her leave the ring as he goes to grab her and- PULLS RYAN WILSON RIGHT INTO THE ROPES AS RYAN’S THROAT CONNECTS FIRST WITH THE ROPES! Miku Sakai did not come to just play as clearly she’s displaying her anger at the results ar Pain For Pride Kingdom, but what a way to get back on track by picking up the first win of the new season against the likes of someone as motivated as Ryan Wilson something both these elitists kind of share as they want to right the wrongs they deem fit to right.
Gavin Kirkland: Miku Sakai left Ryan Wilson feeling groggy after that one as she sees an opportunity to take advantage of quickly running the ropes before connecting with a killer Running Knee to a kneeling Ryan Wilson! Ryan Wilson falls down to the mat giving Miku an opportunity to drag him towards the corner… Oh boy this is my favorite part guys!!! God, I wish that were me instead of Ryan right now…
Deadprez: Awwwww man she takes a bit of distance before connecting with a SWEET CHEEK MUSIC STINK FACE ALL OVER RYAN’S FACE! GAVIN IS ALL RILED UP NOW BUT WE ARE HERE FOR THE GRAPS FOLKS AS MIKU QUICKLY COVERS RYAN WILSON AS THE REFEREE STARTS THE COUNT!!!

Deadprez: NOT JUST YET SON AS RYAN KICKS OUT JUST IN TIME! Miku ain’t wasting no time though as she tries her best to quickly pick up Ryan Wilson who’s clearly still groggy after Miku did what she did a couple minutes ago as Miku goes for the Double Knee Breaker…
Gavin Kirkland: CUCK KILL- NO! RYAN WILSON ABLE TO GRAB MIKU BEFORE THE KNEES CONNECTED AS RYAN REPOSITIONS HER FROM A POWERBOMB POSITION TO A POWERSLAM POSITION AS HE PUTS HER DOWN ON THE MAT WITH A RUNNING POWERSLAM!!! C’mon Miku… Get up… Do it for all your loyal simps out in the crowd!!!
Eve: It’s not looking so good for Miku as Ryan Wilson is staying on the offensive slowly climbing up to the top rope looking for a high-risk maneuver. Ryan takes a leap off the top rope as he looks to connect with a… FROG SPLASH! Looks like we aren’t getting a cover as Ryan tries his best to pick up Miku Sakai as quickly as he can…
Deadprez: This right here is real hunger, I’m talking starvation levels of hunger! Ryan Wilson wants to make his return here on Showdown be his best season yet while Miku Sakai still trying to leave the grasp of Ryan wants to show that Pain For Pride was just a fluke and is still as hungry as Ryan Wilson for championship gold… Ryan now setting up Miku Sakai for a Turnbuckle Snap Supl-
Gavin Kirkland: Miku Sakai able to stop it midway as she pushes Ryan right into the turnbuckle! Ryan bounces back as Miku uses the momentum to assist her in executing a beautiful Tornado DDT as Miku tries to go for a cover as she puts her feet on the rope! YES GET THAT WIN FOR US MIKU!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEE!!!

Referee: FEET ON THE ROPE!
Eve: The referee catches Miku’s feet on the rope forcing her to break the cover as she starts to pick up Ryan Wilson back to his feet before she starts to run the ropes and connects with a beautifully executed Running Blockbuster! It seems like neither elitists want to end up taking their first loss of the season in their first match but as we all know there can only be one true winner and right now it seems Ryan Wilson has bigger things to worry about as Miku Sakai starts to yell at him to get back up as he slowly does.
Deadprez: Miku is real angry as you can see all that aggression he’s held onto since Pain For Pride is coming out slowly picking up Ryan, but Ryan was simply playing possum as he’s able to Irish Whip Miku Sakai into the bottom left corner quickly running right after her as he connects with a Helluva Kick immediately after Miku hit the turnbuckle! The fans are EXCITED as they are cheering loudly for “The Workhorse” here tonight!
Gavin Kirkland: GET UUUUUUP MIKU! GET UPPP!!! This is clearly all part of her plan that’s what it is as she’s taking a nice little rest sitting in the corner after that kick- WOAH, Ryan Wilson is filled with adrenaline as he goes up to the top rope from the other side as quickly as he can… No way he’s thinking of pulling this off guys…
Eve: HE IS AS RYAN WILSON GOES FROM ONE SIDE OF THE RING TO THE OTHER WITH A COAST TO COAST!!! RYAN WILSON IS BRINGING OUT NEW MOVES INTO HIS REPERTOIRE THIS SEASON SHOWCASING HOW DEDICATED HE TRULY IS AS RYAN NOW GOES FOR THE COVER!

Gavin Kirkland: MIRACLES DO HAPPEN AS MIKU IS STILL IN THIS MATCH! Eve: I don’t know about it being a dominant win, but Miku Sakai was able to pick up a victory against Ryan Wilson through a dishonest and dishonorable manner here tonight as she walks out here tonight with the first win of the season here in Showdown.
Deadprez: Love it or hate it; Miku Sakai picked up the win by working smarter not harder and that is what cost Ryan Wilson here tonight. It’s an ugly sight but you gotta respect that type of strategy because at the end of the day history ain’t written by the losers, it’s written by the winners, and right now Miku Sakai is the winner in this story.

Deadprez: Here comes Cody Maverick. He was very impressive at Pain for Pride even if he didn’t ultimately win the 24/7 Battle Royal he was impressive as he always is! Many people thought he was going to win that match. And he almost did!
Eve: Most definitely. Cody Maverick was drafted to Showdown during the draft, and you could tell for sure that he had made an impression with the Showdown officials with his performance. And how can we forget what happened at the draft? The Sin City Superstar started off this season with the biggest win of his entire career!
Gavin Kirkland: I definitely enjoy my time in Sin City. I wish I was there right now. Did you know that there are legal brothels in Nevada?
Deadprez: Why do we need to be made aware of that? And why are you? !
Gavin Kirkland: My good friend Cody Maverick told me all about it!
Eve: I’m sure that’s why.
(The crowd eventually quiets down as Cody Maverick enters the ring to a loud ovation from the crowd who chants for him. Many fans in the crowd are shown wearing his merch as he is one of EAW’s top merch sellers outselling many of the main eventers in the company such is his popularity.)
Cody Maverick: I’M THAT GUY SHOWDOWN! You know it! I know it! It all started last year. Back on Dynasty. But that was just the beginning. My meteoric rise on Dynasty happened all of last season. But that is the thing about a rise. You eventually get to the top! That’s where Cody Maverick is looking to be! I bet on myself and it paid off. While others are content to just take what they are given I put in the work! I fought my way up the ladder! Now look at me! I was one of the hottest free agents during the recent draft. And you can all see exactly why. You all saw exactly why at Pain for Pride. I was a second away from winning that 24/7 contract. I didn’t win it… I admit that… But it doesn’t matter! It doesn’t matter at all because I don’t let nothing get me down! I don’t let a loss drive me out. I fight through it and make the best of what has been given to me. People called it an upset but everyone knows that the Sin City Superstar is just that… a Superstar! I am the Headliner! I am the Main Event Mogul! And that means that I take a backseat to NOBODY! That means that I don’t need a 24/7 contract because when you are this good… It’s 24/7 even without a contract! (Ruler makes his way out to the stage standing on the stage as he is holding a microphone and slowly begins to make his way down to the ring. The elaborate lighting effects for Ruler’s entrance slowly fades away as does his music as he begins to speak.)
Ruler: The rise is always nice. It is very pleasant indeed. To rise up to the very top of the world. It is a pleasant feeling. Everyone should try it at least once. But that isn’t what is important right now. That’s not what matters, Cody. What defines an Elitist… is the fall! You see we had Pain for Pride… and as we all know pride precedes the fall… I know what it is like to fall. I know what it is like to rise. I have risen before. I have held the Unified Tag team Championships. I have held the New Breed Championships. I have risen. I have fallen. I shall rise again!
(The North Carolina crowd cheers loudly.)
Ruler: Wait no not like that. What I mean is that I am going to be a champion sooner rather than later. Not necessarily you, Cody unless you win a different title than the one I am going for. Maybe our paths won’t even cross. But I suspect that they will. And it will not be for you to rise. It will be for you to fall. I am going to show the entire world why I am not just a tag team guy but I can go in the ring whether it is the New Breed title, the Interwire Title, even the World Title I can hang in any division that I am inserted into. I am not sure if you can say the same Cody. But honestly… I would like to find out personally!
(Cody Maverick is shown smiling in the ring as he allows Ruler to continue speaking. Ruler slowly gets into the ring walking up the ring steps and then across the apron to stare directly at Cody Maverick in the ring.)

Or how he scored the biggest upset victory of his career over SOSA Henderson at the draft show. No one is talking about Ruler. And do you know why that is? Alex is gone. It is so over. Now I have absolutely nobody. I have nothing. I have to go it all alone. All by myself. But you know what Cody? That is what I have always done. I have always been alone. Forever alone. That is what I do best, and I think that you need to realize that you are completely alone too Cody. And just like me you should take the advice that you have a long long way to go. You think you are the “main event” or something like that, but you are nowhere near that. So why don’t you get the hell out of my ring because I have a match. I am going to prove myself and show why it is I… Ruler… who is the next top star here on Showdown!
(Ruler is shown entering the ring as he gestures with his hand for Cody Maverick to leave the ring. However, Cody does not leave and instead smiles getting up into the face of Ruler confronting him directly.)
Cody Maverick: Don’t worry buddy. I’ll leave the ring and let you have your little match. But let’s not waste any time here. I could walk away now. But you know that won’t be the last time you see me. So, let’s make this official. Let’s throw down, Ruler. You and me. Let’s settle this. How about I see you in the ring… at the Midsummer Massacre!!!
(The crowd pops extremely loudly as Ruler smirks at Cody Maverick and then nods.)
Eve: Wow! Is this match going to be made official? Cody Maverick vs. Ruler! That is a huge announcement and a massive match!
Deadprez: That was fast. We are really setting the tone for Showdown this season… Nobody is messing around here!
(Cody Maverick is shown leaving as Ruler remains in the ring for his upcoming match. The camera fades into a commercial.)

(The camera cuts to Gina Romano in the ring alongside Ruler who is already in the ring from his showdown with Cody Maverick just moments ago.)

(The crowd cheers for Ruler but it turns to boos when “Sweet Dreams” by Eurythmics hits!!!)
Gina Romano: And his opponent from Charlotte, North Carolina she is “The Star Player” HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPER LEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
(Harper Lee makes her way down to the ring as she gets into a fight with a fan at ringside insulting their appearance before entering the ring.)
Deadprez: Awwww man Harper is definitely not a fan favorite here tonight! These people want to see Ruler lay the smackdown on her in that ring! But Ruler is untested as a singles competitor after losing his partner. Can he adapt??!?
Eve: Well Ruler has had plenty of singles matches before but-
Gavin Kirkland: Can we not use the word single? It is very triggering to me.
Deadprez: Why is that?
Gavin Kirkland: I don’t want to talk about it.
Eve: :mjlol: Well, both of these competitors are very dangerous and as we just saw from Ruler’s confrontation with Cody Maverick just moments ago he is ready to prove himself. But Harper Lee is no joke up in that ring you know that she means business!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Deadprez: We are underway now as Harper Lee and Ruler are facing off and this should be a good one people. I am all kinds of hyped out here. Let’s go!!! Both competitors look ready to go as they burst out of their corners with intensity. Barely able to wait for the bell before they collide! They enter the ring squaring off as both competitors throw strikes. Ruler counters a kick from Harper Lee with one of his own. Ruler then kicks the side of Harper’s leg hard, but she doesn’t appear to have been knocked off balance by it. Harper rushes Ruler with a hard forearm but Ruler ducks it. Ruler then goes in as he gets Harper in position for a collar-and-elbow tie-up, but Ruler is immediately thrown into the ropes by Harper as the referee forces the clean break. Such technical! Much wrestling!
Eve: The referee successfully separates both competitors as Harper Lee and Ruler square off once more. They lock up again in the middle of the ring with Harper quickly grabbing the arm of Ruler and yanking him around into a Side Headlock. Ruler grabs onto the nose and eyes of Harper trying to claw and scratch his way out of the hold. Ruler shoves Harper up against the ropes and throws her off him. Harper comes off the ropes and collides into Ruler with a Running Forearm! Ruler doesn’t even go down however as Harper backs up and strikes him again! But Ruler takes Harper down with an Arm Toss sending her flying across the ring. Harper back up and immediately hits Ruler with an Uppercut but a big kick to the side from Ruler who then bashes Harper backwards into the corner. Harper’s leg is thrown across the middle ropes as Ruler begins to stomp away at it clearly having found a target to assault early on in this match. Smart strategy by Ruler if Harper can’t walk there’s not much she is going to be able to do here tonight!
Deadprez: Ruler continuing his attack on the leg of Harper Lee until the referee forces the break, but Harper has been knocked off her feet and the damage has been done. Harper manages to get her leg out of the ropes, but she is on the mat now at the mercy of Ruler. Ruler drags Harper back up to her feet before taking her down with a quick Snapmare. Ruler into a Side Headlock trapping Harper on the ground. This has the added advantage of forcing Harper to use all of her weight on that leg to get back up to her feet. It looks painful but she manages to do it… No wait! I spoke too soon! Harper’s leg gave out! But Harper smartly manages to use the falling momentum to break free of the grasp of Ruler. But as soon as Harper gets back up to her feet a leg sweep by Ruler knocks her right back down! Ruler is methodically controlling the pace of this contest!
Eve: Harper Lee slowly pulls herself back up to her feet, but Ruler grabs her by the legs and flips her over! Harper collapses onto her back and now Ruler hits repeated knee strikes bashing into the leg of Harper. Harper tries to punch at Ruler to get him away, but she can’t force him away. Ruler is unable to be contained as he continues stomping at the leg of Harper who yells out in pain. Harper back up slowly but Ruler steps alongside her and takes her down with a Side Russian Leg Sweep! Ruler to the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Only a one count! Does anyone think that Harper kind of seems like a damsel in distress who needs saving right now?
Deadprez: No.
Eve: No.
Gavin Kirkland: I miss the Disney era already…
Deadprez: Ruler pulls Harper Lee back up, but she immediately breaks free of his grasp and starts hammering him with forearms and uppercuts to the head. Harper fighting for her life here to turn this contest around as she beats back and batters Ruler across the ring. Ruler staggering now but can Harper take him down? Ruler falls backwards into the corner as Harper kicks at his legs and now at his gut in the corner. Ruler is taking some damage here as he holds onto the ropes trying to stay up. Harper wrenches the arm and whips Ruler across the ring. But Ruler reverses it! Harper into the corner but she dodges Ruler as he comes charging at her! Harper off the ropes but Ruler catches her in midair as she leaps towards him! Ruler tosses Harper high into the air! Harper tries to hit a Cutter in midair on Ruler, but he shoves her away! Harper back up but Ruler immediately kicks the leg out from under Harper knocking her back down to the mat and she ends up right back where she started! Harper’s comeback was short lived, but she is going to have to mount another one if she wants a chance at winning this match!
Eve: Harper Lee came into this match very cocky and arrogant. But so far in this match it has been clear that Ruler is the one establishing himself as a dominant singles star. Harper back up but Ruler with an overhead throw sending her onto her back as Ruler keeps control of the arm to keep Harper grounded. Harper battles her way back up and yanks Ruler into a Front Headlock before tossing him, but Ruler rolls through holding the arm and keeping Harper grounded once more. Surprising technical mat work on display from Ruler as Harper flips out of it and kicks Ruler in the face before getting back up to her feet. Ruler stalks in on Harper as they lock up with Ruler wrenching the neck and then going low dragging Harper down into an Ankle Lock! But Harper quickly gets to the ropes knowing that she doesn’t want Ruler to target her leg any more than he already has. That could be a death sentence for her at this point. Harper slowly manages to free herself after getting to the ropes and the referee orders that Ruler release the hold which he does after waiting for the entire five count to elapse.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Gavin Kirkland: Ruler releases the hold but then immediately grabs Harper Lee by the arm and yanks her in and puts his leg over the head of Harper. Harper manages to fall backwards into a pinning situation, but Ruler immediately releases the hold and gets back up to his feet. Harper grabs Ruler and ducks under a Clothesline and then kicks Ruler hard away from her off the ropes. Ruler comes off the ropes and rushes in at Harper who slaps the shit out of him! Ruler is taken aback by the sudden disrespect and Harper takes full advantage of it! Harper yanks the arm of Ruler taking him down with an Arm drag. But Ruler is immediately back up to his feet and grabs the arm of Harper yanking her in towards him. Harper falls backwards into the corner as Ruler rushes in, but Harper moves out of the way! Ruler crashes and burns, and Harper grabs him and throws him out of the corner with a Slingshot sending him flying back first into the middle of the ring. Harper now going up to the top rope and she comes crashing down onto her opponent with a Flying Knee Drop! Harper with the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Referee: TWO-
Deadprez: A kickout right before two from Ruler there. But Harper Lee has managed to somehow turn this match around and that might be just as important as the two count. Harper quickly grabs the arm of Ruler and twists him around into an Armbar sitting on his back for extra pressure. But Ruler showing the power! Ruler powering back up to his feet knocking Harper off as Ruler reaches out for the ropes hoping to break the hold. But Harper holds on tightly! Harper keeping control of the hold until Ruler manages to knock her away! Hard elbow smash connects from Harper sending Ruler into the ropes. Harper with repeated strikes into the ropes but then Ruler comes rushing off the ropes with a Running Tackle! Ruler uses the full size of his body to throw himself as hard as he can at Harper! But Harper manages to roll through it and traps Ruler on the ground once more with an Armbar and drives her knee down hard into the elbow socket.
Eve: Harper Lee throws Ruler into the corner before charging in and catching him with a Running Clothesline! Ruler collapses out of the corner as Harper gets on top of him and begins unloading with straight right hands! Harper pummeling Ruler but he eventually counters a blow and headbutts her hard in the skull! This thing has descended into a brawl and these fans are here for it! Ruler gets back up as Harper catches him by the arm and yanks him down into an Arm drag but Ruler rolls through and Harper dropkicks him into the ropes. Ruler off the ropes now as Harper grabs him and twists him around into a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! Harper got all of it as she falls on top of Ruler for another cover!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Deadprez: Only two there as Ruler kicks out! Ruler back up but Harper Lee yanks him hard by the arm causing him to flip over and collapse down to the mat. Harper runs the ropes doing a cartwheel into an elbow drop. That was strangely fancy and flamboyant from Harper. I guess it was effective as well though so who am I to question it? Another elbow drop from Harper! This time without the theatrics but it was equally effective. Harper then grabs Ruler by the tights and hurls him out of the ring! Ruler crashes to the outside of the ring landing hard on the unforgiving floor. The referee is telling Harper not to leave the ring and she appears to be obeying his command as the referee begins the ten count!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE! TE-
Eve: But Ruler throws himself under the bottom rope and back into the ring and beats the ten count! The match continues on! But will Ruler continue to rule? Or will that be Harper’s fate? Let’s find out!
Gavin Kirkland: I also want to find out what would happen if I gave Harper my number.
Deadprez: Not gonna lie I kind of want to see what would happen as well. Mostly because it would prolly shut yo ass up for a while while you recover in the hospital. But this match might end up with one of these competitors in the hospital as well before all is said and done. You never know with how intensely they are fighting! That would be a real trash way to start the season for either of them. These two want to start their year on Showdown off with a massive win!
Eve: The match rolls on as Harper Lee picks Ruler back up but suddenly Ruler smacks her upside the head! Ruler hits Harper repeatedly with a variety of palm strikes and he is really laying into her and fighting back! Harper tries to duck it but Ruler charges her and sends Harper flying over the top rope! Harper crashes back first onto the apron but manages to hold onto the bottom rope as she tries to get herself back up and into the ring to continue this matchup. Ruler grabs Harper by the hair and yanks her back up over the top rope into the ring through the middle rope… RULER WITH A HANGING DDT! HE GETS ALL OF IT AND GOES IN FOR THE COVER!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Deadprez: Harper Lee kicks out! The match continues! Ruler picks Harper back up to her feet… Ruler goes to lock Harper into a Sleeper Hold, but she slips out of it! Harper with a thumb to the eye of Ruler! Harper then rakes the eyes of Ruler right in front of the referee who warns her about it. But Harper just shoves past the referee and grabs Ruler’s head, bashing him face first into the turnbuckle padding. Harper now talks smack which we can’t even repeat on our family friendly television even without Disney. Actually, I’m pretty sure she just called him a bitch ass loser. We can say that right?
Eve: We sure can Dead and Harper is indeed saying it and trying to get inside the head of Ruler. Ruler takes a beating in the corner from Harper and falls down to the mat. Knee strikes to the head now from Harper who has a look of anger on her face getting all kinds of aggressive. Ruler manages to grab the legs of Harper and flip her upside down. Ruler attempting to apply a Figure 4 Leglock! But Harper kicks hard, sending Ruler into the ropes! Harper then grabs Ruler and rolls her up! Harper for the win!!!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Ruler now jumps on Harper and lifts her up connecting with a Snap Suplex in the ring! Ruler picks Harper up and tosses her to the outside! Ruler shoves past the referee to go outside the ring as well! Ruler slams Harper back first into the barricade and then drives her head first into the steel ring steps! Ruler with repeated knee strikes to the skull of Harper against the ring steps! And now Ruler grabbing a cable from under the ring and begins to choke Harper out with it! Our production crew does their best to hide that stuff, but Ruler is exposing it and using it as a weapon and Harper is being choked out!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE!
Deadprez: Harper Lee’s body has gone limp, but Ruler realizes he will be counted out soon if he doesn’t release. So, he tosses Harper back into the ring and Harper is not moving at all. She is completely unconscious!
Eve: Ruler looking to put Harper Lee away now! Ruler picks Harper’s limp body back up…

Gavin Kirkland: Well, we all do things we are ashamed of sometimes. But sometimes it is so worth it! Me personally just the other day I ran out of lube, so I had to us-

(The camera cuts to a commercial featuring your neighbors blasting fireworks next to your bedroom window while you try to sleep.)
(Showdown came back from commercials and it quickly tuned in towards the ring, as before long, “7 Rings” by Ariana Grande started playing on the speakers and the crowd simply went bananas in every way, the reaction being very mixed but more cheers being heard as the National Elite Champion slowly came out with a gigantic smile on her face, a silver skirt and some high silver boots as well as a cute pink crop top, grabbing the championship and then raising it high up in the air for everyone to admire and to see.)
Deadprez: Veena is in an incredibly great mood, it seems.
Eve: Well, that is going to be pretty obvious considering that at Pain for Pride, she was able to outlast and beat Raven Roberts and Miku Sakai to be able to retain the National Elite Championship in front of so many thousands of people, she has been in an absolute roll ever since she was able to get her championship back from Jon Kelton and now everyone is sitting there with baited breath on what she is going to end up doing next.
Gavin Kirkland: …sigh.
Deadprez: I am not going to ask what is wrong with him.
Eve: Me neither, anyway-
Gavin Kirkland: SIIIIGHHHHHHHHH!

Gavin Kirkland: I should honestly be the most happiest in the world after seeing that my cutie patootie Veena was able to defeat those two bums and retain the National Elite Championship, but as soon as I saw HIM get drafted to this brand, I knew that my little heart would not be able to take it in any way.
Eve: Who is him?
(But before Eve could get any answer, Veena was practically already by the ring, flaunting towards the crowd and relishing in most of the cheers as she went up the steel steps and entered inside through the ropes before raising up the championship high up in the air and once again celebrating. Her music slowly died down and then she was in the ring all smiles, before clearing her throat and then speaking with conviction.)
Veena Adams: Now, I would not like to be the kind of person to tell you that I told you so, buuuuutttt… I TOLD YOU SOOOOOO! HAH!
(The mixed reaction once again breaks out and Veena does not pay any attention to it before she continues speaking on the microphone.)
Veena Adams: I hope all of you were able to process everything that just happened and made sure it fit on all of the little brains that doubted me heading into Pain for Pride, you really think I was going to end up going into a match like that with the championship on my shoulder and lose AGAIN? Nuh-uh! It is your own fault for expecting someone else to take this away from me and truly believe I was going to lose knowing damn well I was dead set on getting out of there with that championship after the unjustified loss that I suffered last year, you really believed I was going to let that happen to me? You genuinely and truly believed I was going to lose once more? Because all of you were wrong! I had too many skeletons in the closet when it came to last year and then I threw them all out when I was able to retain my championship successfully this time. I was able to exorcize whatever demon is left in whatever corner of that closet, and be praised as the woman to move forward for the championship in my hands.
Veena Adams: Sorry if it sounds like I am sucking my own dick, but I will never stop talking about the fact that I really did all of that, huh? Got about the whole world to hate me and then simply by getting better, actually fighting and showing I can be a wrestler, I was able to become a two time National Elite Champion and rise up to prominence, it genuinely says a lot that despite me having so many differences with Kennedy after last season, she knew that I was a gamechanger and she ended up drafting me with a top pick, because once again, do not deny me in any of this, I am a MAIN EVENT star.
Veena Adams: If we really want to, I can run down everyone, Ashlynn? Thought she was too much, tried to end up pushing the line in places when being a “bestie” and then I beat her and put her up in her place, Kirk? Yuck, easy win. Madison? Retired. Candice? Wish she retired so she can stop getting embarrassed by me. Daniella? Probably put on some steroids now so she could match with everyone else. Aria? Completely delulu and out of her mind. Miku? Literal flop and actual choker yet again. And Raven? A big part of my past when I was just a weak little rich girl, and what do you know? I ended up beating her and sending her packing to another brand and showing that I could be so much more than she could ever be. (“It Ain’t Safe” by Skepta starts playing on the speakers and the crowd goes from mixed to very hateful as everyone starts raining down boos hearing this man’s theme song, Charlie Marr slowly came out with a serious expression on his face, looking around and being pretty much used to this reaction now, putting his hands on his pockets and simply smirking a bit as he concentrated solely on getting to the ring and meeting up with Veena.)

Eve: Well, ignoring the cries of Gavin, after two seasons, we see Charlie Marr once more back to the blue brand, and in that time he was able to be inserted into the Hall of Fame and win yet another world championship to his name, in a very interesting few months when he ended up fighting Jake Smith leading to Pain for Pride-
Deadprez: In something straight out of a novela I might add-
Eve: Charlie was unsuccessful at retaining the EAW Championship against Jake, but now he has a chance to start anew when it comes to being here in Showdown, and it seems he will have a great start being with Veena already.
(Charlie walked down the ramp, quickly jumping over onto the ring apron and entering the ropes before finally, Veena rushed over and the two of them gave each other a loving kiss right in the middle of the ring with some people gagging. As Veena handed the microphone to Charlie and he spoke with a serious tone.)
Charlie Marr: Do not focus on me, focus on the beautiful woman right next to me, she just went out there at Pain for Pride to retain that championship and then she will go on to break the longest record all by herself.
Veena Adams: (off-mic) Oh my gosh, you did not have to 🥺
Charlie Marr: Anyway, that is the only good thing you are going to see me do, everyone else sitting right now has crooked postures from being in the computer all day without getting any actual action on the bed.
(The crowd once again boos loudly because of the comment, especially Gavin on the commentary table as Veena laughs to herself over in the corner. Charlie continues speaking.)
Charlie Marr: If you think I am already done just because a random scrub with the name of Jake Smith got lucky against me and took the championship I earned with blood, sweat and tears, then you are truly more stupider than I thought, it is a shame to see that the brand I put a lot of my time and my career in Voltage will die being led by someone who does not fit in my shoes, figuratively and literally but oh well, all good things do not last, so you just gotta have to create more, right Veena?
Veena Adams: (off-mic) Duh!
Charlie Marr: And that is what the two us are going to do, because Kennedy ended up making the right decision of bringing me here to Showdown, because there is a lot of unfinished business between this brand and me, me and Veena were separated when he had a plan of taking over the brand and run it by ourselves, and now… that we are together, we are going to pick up that plan again, we are going to work it out and perfect it, and what do you know? We are going to do it all over again because separately we might be great, but together, we are the best thing you have ever laid your eyes upon. Deadprez: Here comes Jon Kelton as he heads to the ring and he has got to be feeling pretty good as he managed to overcome the rivalry he had with Daryl Kinkade and the British Invasion with a victory in Daryl’s specialty, the British Strong Style Rules match.
Eve: A huge victory for Kelton, but unfortunately the momentum stopped there as he represented Showdown at the Draft show last week for the right to have first pick in the draft as he fell to then-Dynasty member Michael Machina.
Gavin Kirkland: Jon is looking to be even more successful this season than he was last season and a victory in the season premiere of Showdown could get things going in the right direction.
(Kelton enters the ring and takes his corner as his music quickly fades off and is then replaced with “Faneto” by Chief Keef. The song plays for a few seconds before SOSA Henderson enters the arena to a less than positive reaction from the crowd. He has the 24/7 contract in his hand as he is wearing his black sunglasses and his traditional SOSA Chain as he heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing his opponent! From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Weighing 191 pounds! Here is MR. 24/7! “BULLETPROOF” SOSA HENDERSON!!
Gavin Kirkland: MR. 24/7 IS HERE AND HE IS ON SHOWDOWN!! WOOOOOOOOOOO! What a Pain for Pride for SOSA!
Eve: He certainly did and he was able to overcome a very tough field in order to win the battle royal and claim that 24/7 Contract, which gets him a title match at any time he pleases. Unfortunately, SOSA got caught trying to take a shortcut before he was defeated by Cody Maverick.
Deadprez: SOSA better be careful with those tactics against a fellow veteran in Jon Kelton. Two men who have both held the New Breed Title as well as the 24/7 Contract are about to do battle. Who will win? We are about to find out.
(SOSA enters the ring and takes his corner as he takes off his glasses and chain and he hands those and his contract to the referee and his music fades off. The referee checks both competitors before calling for the bell.)

Eve: Here we go! This match is underway and I think this is going to be a good one right here.
Deadprez: You better believe it. These two competitors are going to be looking to impress Kennedy Street to hopefully get themselves the first Answers World Championship match of the season.
Gavin Kirkland: Which should be SOSA because SOSA is awesome and Kelton…well Kelton is Kelton. Now these two meet up in the center of the ring to lock up–
Deadprez: SOSA WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND TO THE JAW! SOSA ISN’T PLAYING AROUND IN THIS MATCH! Don’t expect Kelton to sit back and not retaliate.
Eve: KELTON COMES BACK WITH A PUNCH OF HIS OWN! SOSA ALSO GOT CAUGHT IN THE JAW! Neither man looks amused with the other’s antics AND NOW WE HAVE A FIST FIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!
Gavin Kirkland: Of course things break down early in this match and it’s all Kelton’s fault. But the referee is already having a hard time breaking these two apart, but they finally manage to get it done.
Eve: Last week, both Kelton and SOSA were in Kennedy’s office trying to make their case heard about being the Number One Contender for the Answers World Championship. This match could go a long way in helping determine that.
Deadprez: Right now, they need to worry about not getting themselves disqualified by ignoring the referee. Now the two meet back in the center of the ring with glares on their faces as they finally choose to lock up.
Gavin Kirkland: Locking up after watching a fist fight. I’ll allow it because we are Showdown and WE WRESTLE on Showdown. Both Jon and SOSA are of similar size, so it will be interesting to see which one gets the advantage.
Eve: Kelton is looking to start overpowering SOSA, BUT SOSA STOMPS ON KELTON’S FOOT! That throws Kelton off long enough for SOSA to get free and counter with a snap suplex!
Deadprez: SOSA with a float over AND HE STARTS PUNCHING KELTON IN THE FACE ONCE AGAIN! KELTON IS TRYING TO BLOCK ALL THE PUNCHES WHILE HE CAN! NOW THE REFEREE IS RIGHT THERE TELLING SOSA TO OPEN THE PUNCHES BEFORE STARTING A COUNT!
Gavin Kirkland: Why is the referee counting so fast? I don’t think SOSA heard the referee say all those things, but he does stop with the punches on four. See. SOSA is an upstanding competitor.
Deadprez: With a devious side that likes to stretch the rules like we saw right there. Regardless, SOSA is in control as he brings Kelton back to his feet. SOSA with an Irish Whip to send Kelton into the ropes–
Eve: BUT KELTON REVERSES THE WHIP BEFORE GRABBING SOSA BY THE BACK OF THE TIGHTS AND JUST TOSSING HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR!
Gavin Kirkland: I am not even sure what to say about that right now. How disrespectful can Jon Kelton be? He is just treating a former World Champion like trash.
Eve: If things go Kelton’s way, he could be on his way to becoming a World Champion himself this season. SOSA is recovering on the floor as we see Kelton climb his way up to the top rope.
Deadprez: Kelton is looking to go big early in this match as SOSA is getting back to his feet AND KELTON COMES OFF THE TOP ROPE AND HE TAKES SOSA DOWN WITH A CROSSBODY TO THE FLOOR!
Gavin Kirkland: Shouldn’t that be illegal or something? I mean poor SOSA’s head cracked the floor hard after that crossbody and SOSA could have a concussion! Look how proud Kelton is of himself.
Eve: Kelton is back on his feet as he picks SOSA up and has him back on his feet, but not for long. Kelton lifts SOSA in the air AND PLANTS HIM WITH A SLAM ON THE FLOOR! Kelton is not leaving anything to chance right now.
Deadprez: Kelton has done a nice job in keeping the former World Champion neutralized for the time being, but that isn’t gonna stop him from causing even more damage to SOSA as he brings SOSA back to his feet.
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton shouldn’t get so cocky right now. One wrong move and he could screw the match up for himself. Especially against someone like SOSA.
Deadprez: Kelton picks up SOSA and has him on his shoulder as he looks to send him down crashing with a powerslam—
Eve: SOSA SLID OFF KELTON’S SHOULDER AND SHOVES KELTON AWAY AND KELTON JUST WENT FACE FIRST INTO THE RINGPOST!!
Gavin Kirkland: SEE! I TOLD YOU SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND IT DID! You all should listen to me more.
Eve: Will you shut the hell up and stop acting like you are some kind of damn know it all? You’re so lucky I haven’t punched you yet!
Deadprez: Calm down, Eve. It isn’t worth it right now. But after Jon went face first into the ringpost, he was able to hold onto the bottom rope and stop himself from hitting the floor. Smart ring awareness by the former National Elite Champion.
Gavin Kirkland: But it’s not enough to stop the onslaught to be brought by SOSA. Because SOSA is right there as he lifts Kelton up in the air AND DROPS HIM DOWN ON THE RING APRON WITH A BACK SUPLEX!
Eve: GOOD GRIEF! KELTON JUST WENT SPINE FIRST INTO THE HARDEST PART OF THE RING! HE IS HOLDING HIS BACK IN PAIN AS HE ROLLED HIMSELF BACK INTO THE RING!
Deadprez: SOSA quickly followed suit when he heard the referee’s count. SOSA hits the ropes and heads right toward Kelton AND LEAVES HIS FEET–
Gavin Kirkland: SOSA WITH A DOUBLE FOOT STOMP TO KELTON’S SPINE! THAT’S RIGHT! HE JUST CAUSED EVEN MORE DAMAGE TO KELTON’S BACK! At this rate, SOSA is going to take away most of Kelton’s arsenal and I am completely fine with that.
Deadprez: Of course you would, but right now, SOSA manages to roll Kelton over and he quickly hooks the leg for the cover!

Eve: KELTON IS ABLE TO POWER OUT AT TWO! It’s going to take more than that to put Kelton down. We have a lot more of this match to go.
Gavin Kirkland: That’s what you think. SOSA could end this match at any time he wants. It’s only a matter of time.
Eve: Before what? The time when I finally knock your lights out? It’s coming sooner than you think. But right now SOSA is in complete control of the match as he brings Kelton back to his feet AND FIRES OFF A ROUNDHOUSE KICK–
Deadprez: KELTON DUCKED THE KICK AND SHOVES SOSA INTO THE ROPES! SOSA comes back off the ropes AND HE MANAGES TO PICK UP SOSA ENOUGH BEFORE DROPPING HIM BACK DOWN WITH A MODIFIED SIDEWALK SLAM!
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton is such a bully! He almost dropped SOSA on his head after that slam. I hope that SOSA makes him pay! There’s karma right there for Kelton as Kelton was not able to capitalize after the slam.
Eve: Gotta love your biased officiating as always, Gavin. But Kelton’s back must have tightened up or something at the worst possible moment after that slam. It looked like Kelton was going to go for a cover after the slam, but his plans have changed.
Deadprez: Kelton realized that there was too much time that had passed so he decides to get back on his feet and bring SOSA up as well, BUT SOSA DROPS DOWN AND COUNTERS WITH A JAWBREAKER!
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton goes stumbling back towards the ropes, but he comes back and SOSA IS READY FOR HIM AS HE FIRES OFF A BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE-
Deadprez: KELTON GETS OUT OF THE WAY AND SOSA LOSES HIS BALANCE! But Kelton is right there with a waistlock AND HE LIFTS SOSA IN THE AIR AND PLANTS HIM WITH A RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX!
Eve: SOSA went head over heels after being planted with the suplex. SOSA gets back to his feet, but Kelton beats him to the punch by grabbing him by the head AND DROPS HIM WITH A TWIST OF FATE!
Gavin Kirkland: SOSA goes face first into the canvas and Kelton rolls SOSA over and drags him over to the center of the ring! SOSA is in position and KELTON RUNS TO THE ROPES! COME ON SOSA!
Eve: Kelton jumps onto the second rope AND HE FLIPS BACK AS HE ATTEMPTS THE LIONSAULT, BUT SOSA GOT THE KNEES UP AND HE DRIVES HIM RIGHT INTO THE BREADBASKET OF KELTON!
Deadprez: Direct hit with the counter by SOSA and SOSA rolls himself over to the ropes. SOSA uses the ropes to get back to his feet as Kelton is trying to get his wind back after the knees.
Gavin Kirkland: He got what he deserved. But Kelton is trying to get back to his feet and I am happy to say that he has no idea what is about to come to him with SOSA crouched by the ropes. Get him SOSA!
Eve: Kelton is back on his feet as he turns around AND HERE COMES SOSA HEADING FULL SPEED FOR KELTON WITH THE SPEAR–
Deadprez: KELTON GOT OUT OF THE WAY OF THE SPEAR AT THE VERY LAST MOMENT! SOSA comes off the ropes on the other side and SOSA runs into the boot from Kelton.
Gavin Kirkland: SOSA was doubled over after the boot and Kelton wastes no time hooking both of SOSA’s arms AND SNAPS SOSA BACK WITH THE DDT! OH COME ON!
Deadprez: “CHANGE THE FUTURE” BY JON KELTON! WHAT A FUTURE SHOCK DDT! SOSA WAS SPIKED RIGHT ON THE TOP OF HIS HEAD! SOSA is not moving at the moment as Kelton rolls him over and hooks the leg for the cover!

Eve: SOSA KICKS OUT AT TWO! HOLY MOLY THAT WAS A VERY CLOSE NEAR FALL! KELTON ALMOST HAD THE MATCH RIGHT THERE! KELTON DOES NOT LOOK PLEASED AT THE MOMENT!
Gavin Kirkland: Now Kelton decides to mount SOSA AND HE JUST STARTS THROWING THOSE LEFT AND RIGHT PUNCHES INTO SOSA’S SKULL! SOSA IS TRYING TO BLOCK AS MANY PUNCHES AS HE CAN!
Eve: But the referee is right there and they are telling Kelton to open up the fists, but Kelton is not listening to the referee and they are left with no choice but to start a count.
Deadprez: Kelton opens up the fists on four. Now Kelton is getting back to his feet and he brings SOSA back to his feet as well. SOSA was whipped to the ropes, BUT SOSA REVERSES IT!
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton was sent for the ride as he comes back from off the ropes AND SOSA JUMPS UP AND GRABS KELTON BY THE HEAD LOOKING FOR A DDT OF HIS OWN–
Eve: KELTON SHOVES HIM OFF AND SOSA GOES CHEST FIRST ONTO THE CANVAS! SOSA quickly gets back to his feet and he heads FULL SPEED TO KELTON–
Deadprez: WHO PICKS HIM UP AND DRIVES HIM DOWN WITH A DANGEROUS LOOKING SPINEBUSTER! DID YOU SEE SOSA’S HEAD AND NECK SNAP BACK?
Gavin Kirkland: That was a very ugly landing for poor SOSA, but why isn’t Kelton being smart to capitalize on this? Instead, he is dragging SOSA over to the corner and he is climbing his way to the top rope.
Deadprez: Kelton doesn’t climb that often to the top rope, but he is looking to make a big statement here. He usually goes for the Shooting Star Press in this position—
Eve: SOSA SOMEHOW GOT BACK TO HIS FEET AND HE BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES! KELTON LOSES HIS BALANCE AND LANDS CROTCH FIRST ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!
Gavin Kirkland: HAHAHAHA! THAT WAS GREAT! Right now, Kelton is trying to recover off the ugly landing AND HERE COMES SOSA WITH THE HANDSTAND INTO THE HEADSCISSOR POSITION ON KELTON–
Eve: BUT LOOK AT KELTON! KELTON HAS MANAGED TO BLOCK IT AND HE IS TURNING THE HEADSCISSORS INTO A SLINGSHOT STYLE POSITION!

(The bell has rung and the referee quickly runs over to Gina Romano to inform her of the final decision of the match. SOSA is standing in the ring with a smirk on his face as Gina Romano announces the final decision of the match.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this match as a result of a COUNTOUT… SOSA HENDERSON!
(The crowd starts to boo as “Faneto” starts playing again. One because of the way the match ended and also because of the crowd’s disdain of SOSA.)
Deadprez: Well this was certainly not the ending that I was expecting, but it is shocking to say the least.
Eve: I agree, Prezzy. These two were beating the hell out of each other the entire match, but this match came down to the use of underhanded tactics.
(SOSA has his arm raised in victory by the referee before SOSA snatches it away. SOSA starts to leave the ring as he looks over at Kelton on the floor still recovering before he heads up the entrance ramp.)
Gavin Kirkland: What are you talking about? What was underhanded in what SOSA did? He won the match fair and square so why are you complaining about it?
(As SOSA is heading up the entrance ramp, Kelton is starting to come to. Kelton catches a glance of SOSA walking up the entrance and now he fully realizes what happened and he is PISSED!)
Eve: You are so delusional sometimes. Are you being serious right now? The only way that SOSA got the countout victory is because of the cheap shots he took to keep Kelton out of the ring. I feel for Jon Kelton. He pulled out all the stops and it seemed like nothing worked during this match. But it’s just the first match of Showdown for Kelton. He’ll come back.
Deadprez: Kelton tried everything he could to win the match, but nothing was able to get the job done tonight as SOSA Henderson had to reach deep into his bag of tricks to get the countout victory. Congratulations to SOSA on the win.
(The final shot has SOSA standing at the top of the entrance ramp soaking in the crowd’s jeers as he leaves Showdown victorious before cutting down to Jon Kelton. Kelton is still angry with the countout loss as he pounds his fists into the ringside floor in major frustration as he tries to control his temper on the defeat as the camera cuts to a commercial break.)
(As the commercial break ends, the camera shot returns to the area before focusing on the ring and we see Mikaela Street standing in the center of the ring with a microphone in hand as she begins to speak.)
Mikaela Street: Ladies and gentlemen! Allow me to welcome my special guests at this time. They are one of the most dominant tag team combinations in all of EAW history. Now? Now they have been drafted to Showdown. Allow me to introduce to you… KASSIDY HEART! SIENNA JADE! THEY ARE THE EAW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS… THE JADED HEARTS!
(‘True Love’ by CFO$ starts to play as the Unified Tag Team Champions enter the arena to loud boos from the crowd. Sienna and Kassidy could really care less what the crowd thinks as they hold their championships in the air as the head to the ring.)
Deadprez: Here come the Unified Tag Team Champions as they head to the ring and what a Pain for Pride they had. Besides that very elaborate entrance, they were able to successfully defend their Tag Team Titles.
Gavin Kirkland: OHHH BABY! KASSIDY AND SIENNA ARE ON SHOWDOWN! SHOWDOWN WON THE DRAFT WITH THIS PICK ALONE! They are two of the most beautiful competitors in all of EAW and now I get to watch them every week. I love Showdown!
Eve: Of course you do. Kassidy and Sienna are three time Unified Tag Team Champions and they have ruled the tag team division with an iron fist going into this season. Now that they are on Showdown, I wonder what will be next for the Champs. I guess we’re about to find out.
(Sienna and Kassidy enter the ring and walk over to Mikaela. They rest their titles on their shoulders as their entrance music dies down. Mikaela hands both Kassidy and Sienna microphones before she starts to speak.)
Mikaela Street: Sienna. Kassidy. Allow me to welcome you both to Showdown. Actually, Kassidy, welcome BACK to Showdown. Kassidy, you certainly have had your fair share of history making moments on the blue brand considering you are the longest reigning Answers World Champion while you were on Showdown.
(Kassidy gives Mikaela an almost self righteous nod because she knows how good she is and she has no issue hearing it from others.)
Kassidy Heart: Well, Mikaela. You are welcome and the pleasure is all yours. But that’s right! Your longest and the greatest Answers World Champion in history is back on Showdown.
(Kassidy soaks in the jeers of the crowd because like her or hate her, she is the longest reigning Answers World Champion in history and their petty boos won’t change that.)
Kassidy Heart: Of course I didn’t come back alone. I came back with Sienna Jade. That’s right. Sienna Jade, the greatest women’s wrestler on the entire PLANET is now on Showdown as well.
Mikaela Street: Speaking of Sienna Jade. Sienna. We are glad to have you on Showdown as well for what I believe is the first time in your career.
Sienna Jade: That’s right. But while being on Showdown is completely new territory for me. But
Mikaela Street: What a formidable duo to have on the blue brand, but first allow me to congratulate you two for successfully defending the Unified Tag Team Championships at Pain for Pride in a very hellacious triple threat match.
Sienna Jade: Hellacious? Hellacious for who? Us?!?!? You have to be joking.
Kassidy Heart: That’s cute, Mikaela. Thinking that the match at Pain for Pride was any sort of challenge for us. That was almost amusing.
Sienna Jade: Come on, Kass. It was more than amusing. It was flat out hilarious.
Mikaela Street: Can you tell us about the Pain for Pride match? I mean what was going through your minds?
Kassidy Heart: What was going through our minds was how beautiful our entrance was. That entrance was worthy of an Oscar.
Sienna Jade: Two Oscars for the two of us. Award winning entrance for award winning competitors like us.
Mikaela Street: The entrance was something that will be remembered for a long time, but I was talking about the match.
Sienna Jade: Oh yeah. The match.
Kassidy Heart: What is there to say about that match? We won and destroyed two more teams that tried to come after our gold.
Sienna Jade: They tried and they FAILED! Look at it, Mikaela. We beat them both so badly that we DROVE NICHOLISM out of Elite Answers Wrestling and we sent the British Invasion all the way to Voltage.
Kassidy Heart: But being the generous Champions that we are, we are more than happy to give The British Invasion another chance at the titles… hell… we’d give NICHOLISM another shot if they want to reunite and try to become Tag Team Champions again.
Sienna Jade: They can try again if they think they can take these titles away from us, but I’ll tell you that it isn’t going to work. You’ll just end up failing again!

Kassidy Heart: Oh, Sienna. I don’t think this crowd is ready or has enough brain power to hear and truly comprehend what we are going to do, but let’s go ahead and tell them.
(Kass and Sienna look at each other with smirks on their faces as the crowd boos louder after being insulted before they continue to speak.)
Sienna Jade: You see, our goals for the season are very wide. You see, we have been dominating the tag team division, but we are not going to take over just the tag team division. Right, Kass.
Kassidy Heart: Much more than just the tag team division, Sienna. NOBODY is going to be safe because the Jaded Hearts are going to take over EVERY! SINGLE! SCENE! on this roster.
Mikaela Street: Now what exactly are you meaning by every single scene on Showdown?
Kassidy Heart: Try and keep up, Mikaela, because we aren’t coming back for you. As you have seen, The Jaded Hearts have dominated the Tag Team Division for a pretty long time right now. We have destroyed any team that has had the nerve to step up to us.
Sienna Jade: And we just knock them down and humble each and every one of their asses. Not only are we a dominating tag team, me and Kassidy are both EAW Hall of Famers.
Kassidy Heart: As Hall of Famers, we deserve more! We deserve MUCH more than what we already have and that’s what we are going to get. There is not a damn thing that is going to stop the Jaded Hearts from getting exactly what we want.

Deadprez: Of course you would only think about that. The rest of us are thinking about the chaos or whatever else that The Jaded Hearts are going to cause on Showdown this season. Only thing I have to say is that Showdown better watch out. These two are on a mission.

Bronson gives her a quick smirk before refocusing on the match while Milli prepares herself. ‘I Rise’ by Cory Marks plays as Bronson and Milli exchange a few words in the ring. The camera pans from the ring to the stage, zooming in on the minitron as Donovan Duke strides out, carrying the Cash In The Vault briefcase in his right hand. Donovan raises it high, letting out a victorious roar that echoes past the camera, thrilling the crowd with his achievement. He sets his sights firmly on the ring as he makes his way down. )

Deadprez: TLA is just that guy, I’m telling you. He’s been in the game the longest among these competitors, and this isn’t his first rodeo as a prime target. ( TLA enters the ring and removes his championship belt, eyeing Milli and Bronson, who are already prepared for his entrance. However, his main concern is Donovan Duke. Eve: As soon as it’s been from Prez, mentioned, while TLA is circling with Milli Banks, he takes a moment to glance back at Donovan Duke who’s standing tall and watching the match. You can tell he’s aware of who Donovan Duke is at the moment very well.
Gavin Kirkland: TLA now shakes his head and gets back in the game. TLA is still showing that despite being a partner, he has to keep his eyes peeled for anything that could topple his reign just like what happened to his previous championships.
Gavin Kirkland: Now look, it’s the golden opportunity. Things can change in the blink of an eye, but knowing TLA, he’s been around the block enough to learn from the past. Remember how Roberto De La Rosa won the championship? I’m sure TLA won’t let lightning get caught in their bottle twice.
