Block A

Harley Lewis vs McCall Everett

The first match in Block A is between Harley Lewis and McCall Everett. Harley tried to start the match by sweet talking McCall, but she wanted nothing to do with Harley and brought the fight to him early on. She once again overwhelmed her opponent with her high flying skills. The use of headscissors and many springboard moves kept Harley completely off kilter early on. Unfortunately, one ill-timed crossbody led to McCall landing awkwardly on her knee and Harley went to work. The Heartthrob did everything in his power to eliminate McCall’s flying arsenal and weaken the leg of Everett. After Everett reached the ropes after a Boston Crab attempt, Harley tried to hit the Slide in the DMs footstomp combo, but McCall managed to get the momentum back in her favor with a rolling facebuster that got her a 2 count. McCall went for it all with the 450 Splash, but Harley moved and McCall landed on the injured knee. The Woman-Stealer submission looked to be Harley’s weapon of choice once again as he applied to hold onto the injured leg and McCall struggled to get out of the calf-slicer. She fought and clawed as much as she could to get to the ropes, but it was not enough. McCall ultimately gives up the match at the 10 minute mark, giving Harley another 3 POINTS bringing his total to 6 and keeping McCall at 2 points.

Angelo Carter vs Oliver Taylor

Match 2 of Block A featured the “Prolific” Angelo Carter against Oliver Taylor. Carter tried to replicate his strategy from last week by using his strength to overpower Oliver. That strategy quickly backfired with Oliver having a 60 pound weight advantage over Angelo. Oliver kept Angelo grounded for most of the match with a combination of submission attempts and power moves of his own. Oliver was close to winning the match with a sitout chokebomb at the halfway mark, but Oliver was caught with a roll up out of nowhere that almost ended it for him. Angelo kept the masked star grounded as long as he could, but after missing the Falsified knee strike, the end was near for Carter. It was the English Masked Destroyer that paid dividends for Oliver as Angelo got spiked on his head and Oliver got the pinfall victory at the 5 minute mark and his second win of the Classic, earning 2 POINTS. Oliver goes into Week 3 with 4 points while Angelo has yet to score.

Roberto De La Rosa vs Cassius Durant

The final match of Block A’s Week 2 is Roberto De La Rosa against Cassius Durant. Roberto was still not happy after last week’s upset loss and everybody could tell. Roberto came out of the gates and he left nothing to chance as he completely dominated the young Durant. Roberto used his size and his power to keep Durant at bay throughout the majority of the match. Roberto left his ground attack and went for a moonsault, but he missed and was rolled up by Durant for a 2 count. Durant thought he had the match won with a Head Banger DDT, but De La Rosa got his foot on the ropes to break the count. Durant made one last ditch effort to win with the Dreadfall drop, but Roberto reversed it in midair to the Cartel Execution. The rear naked choke was in deep and Durant fought hard to get free. Durant unfortunately had to tap out at the 4 minute mark, giving Roberto his first victory of the Classic. Roberto earned 3 POINTS for the submission going into Week 3 as Durant is still scoreless.

Block B

Jay Jerry Johnson vs Leon Dieter

From the opening bell of this Match, Leon Dieter would try to overwhelm Triple J to absolutely zero prevail. No matter how much he tried, Jay always took offense and shifted it right back into his favor almost immediately. When Leon would try to mount a comeback, and hit one of his big moments, he got shot down. When it looked like there was hope that he was going to escape this Match with the win, Jay shot it down. And in the end, Leon Dieter took too much punishment, and Jay Jerry Johnson would take him out with the “Alt + F4”, to pick up the quick and easy 5 Minute pinfall victory, thus earning 2 POINTS in this Tournament.

Ethan Alexander vs Ruler

In this Match, Ruler was basically able to match Ethan Alexander in the strength department, and multiple times where he was actually able to take Ethan down. However, this Match was extremely competitive; where you didn’t know who could win at any given moment. There were a lot of possible moments in this Match where either one of these two could walk out with the win. Ethan Alexander hit one of his biggest and most devastating offensive moves during the Match with a very impactful Spear, but Ruler managed to be able to kick out of it barely at a two count, shocking Ethan. But as the Match continued to go on, and the longer it got, the weaker that Ethan Alexander had become. Ethan started getting overconfident in the end when he thought he had the win, and without noticing a single thing, he unknowingly left himself open for Ruler to capitalize, hitting a Will Of Nicholas DDT, and then one Made In Heaven Piledriver later, Ruler would be the one walking out of this Match with the well deserved, well earned and hard fought pinfall victory in this 15 Minute Match to get 2 POINTS in this Tournament.

Caroline vs Corbin Hyde

Caroline and Corbin Hyde started this Match off at a fast pace, but once Caroline started to overwhelm Corbin, the pace stayed just as fast, but also the offense was all Caroline. Corbin would try to mount a comeback early on in the Match, but it seemed to be a constant occurrence in this Match where Caroline would stop him dead in his tracks. But there was one opening moment where Corbin would be able to take Caroline down, as he started to slow down the pace. From there, Corbin was able to get some offense in, as Caroline was being kept at bay, but it ultimately didn’t last long, as near the end of this Match, Caroline would catch Corbin off guard when he was on a top rope, and hit him with a Tootsie Pop Drop! By this point, Corbin Hyde was out of it, but Caroline, looking to score big, locked in ‘V-I-C-T-O-R-Y’, the Bridging Inverted Deathlock to force to Corbin to quickly tap, ending this 7 Minute Match in a Submission Victory for Caroline to get 3 POINTS in this Tournament.

Block C

Aurora Monroe vs Ayu Megumi

Aurora Monroe would dominate this Match from the opening bell, and as Ayu Megumi would try to fight back, Aurora would cut her right off. Aurora would go for multiple pin attempts, but Ayu simply wouldn’t give up. Aurora continued to hit some powerful moves, but no matter how many moves she hit, Ayu would not give up. In a sudden shift in the Match, Ayu would catch Aurora off guard, and suddenly the offense completely shifted. Ayu Megumi would be able to finally get on offense, and Aurora was overwhelmed. Ayu hit one of her big signatures ‘Phantom Strike’, the Canadian Destroyer but it only got a two count against Aurora. Aurora would once again take control of the Match after the kickout, but Ayu would once again mount another comeback, as Aurora would continue to pin Ayu countless times, but Ayu would continue to kick out to prove that she won’t give up. Ayu would then hit the Superkick ‘Ryo no Ikari’, which took Aurora down to her knees. Ayu then hit another Ryo no Ikari to Aurora that was still on her knees, and when Ayu Megumi would go for the ‘Ethereal Blade’, Aurora had got back up to her feet, catching Ayu with a Northern Lights Suplex. As Ayu would slowly get back up to her feet, Aurora would hit Ayu with ‘The Tempest’, the pumphandle face slam, and three seconds later, Aurora would end this 17 Minute Match with a pinfall victory to get 2 POINTS in the Tournament.

Rokuro Nakano vs Cloud Stryfe

Continuing on with Block C, Rokuro wasted no time attacking Cloud and nailing him with vicious stomps in his corner, hoping to make up for his previous efforts last week. Cloud was clearly having a hard time, but it was when the referee split the two of them up that he could strike, popping up before connecting with a discus elbow strike. Rokuro tried to fight back, but it was then that Cloud really began to manhandle him, throwing him across the ring before nailing him with some pretty brutal aerial attacks. Cloud tries to go for an early ‘Phantom Pain’ attempt, but Rokuro drops out of the ring before that can happen. When everything seems to be turning around, it was Cloud that connected with a Baseball Slide to the outside before rolling him back in. Cloud would then go for a signature in the form of ‘Easy Street’, but Rokuro continued to be persistent, looking to nail him with a forearm, but Cloud connected back, connecting with ‘Easy Street’ on his second attempt. It was then that he locked in ‘Laughing Octopus’, causing Rokuro to tap out after a grueling fight, ending the match in 7:36 and getting him 3 POINTS in the tournament for the submission win!

Liana DeLion vs Kirk Redwood

Liana DeLion and Kirk Redwood started off in the feeling out process but quickly became a classic bout between a technical wrestler and a brawler. Liana was able to keep Kirk Redwood off balance for the first few minutes of the match even showing off her strength which caught Kirk Redwood by surprise. Liana used a powerslam to turn the tide, but Kirk Redwood was able to find an opening hitting the Blitzkrieg Pop to take the advantage which really shook Liana, but then Kirk Redwood started working on head of Liana, targeting it with vicious blows including putting a lot of strain to her neck. Liana stayed vigilant though, she was able to fight off the attacks of Redwood, but he was able to break free when she tried to ground him again and control the match, but Redwood was able to use his brawling skills and without warning struck Liana with he .50 Cal smack in her face knocking her unconscious but instead of going for the pin he locked her in the Fortune Killer, and she barely was able to tap out and get the submission victory in 8:36 and 3 POINTS.

Block D

Danny Tanner vs Abel Atami

Both Abel Atami and Danny Tanner start this match off with a collar-and-elbow, but before they can go any further it’s Abel that goes low and uses that to his advantage. He proceeds to beat down Abel, using his ego to mock and belittle him as he does so. It’s when he attempts a German Suplex that Danny manages to slip out and go under before taking him down to the mat. It’s then Danny that begins to accumulate a burst of adrenaline, using that to take Abel down multiple times before going for an Ushigoroshi. But it’s Abel that slips out of it before nailing Danny with a Sleeper Slam, transitioning that into a Fisherman’s Driver. After a two count, Abel once again gets the odds in his favor. He lays once again attacks Danny with a variety of throws and rest holds, trying to keep the Voltage Elitist grounded while he can. It’s then when he goes up to the top rope, that Danny throws him off and sends him crashing down to the canvas. Abel tries to rebound, but Danny then takes him down with ‘Killswitch BITCH!!!’ to get the pinfall victory in 9:53 for 2 POINTS.

RIP vs ARIA

RIP tried his hardest to brawl with the more versatile ARIA who has a knack of mixing styles and her quickness seemed to be too much for RIP in the early goings as he tried everything to break the momentum and flow of the match by slowing it down. RIP was able to brawl her out at times and overpower ARIA, even taking a good portion in the middle parts of the match where he used a lot of wear down holds and nothing fancy including a vicious piledriver, Russian Leg Sweep, Swinging Neck Breaker and a thunderous superplex that almost got him a three count, but ARIA was able to escape at the last second. ARIA after taking quite a beating was able to turn things around when RIP went for a frog splash and she was able to get her knees up knocking the wind out of him, that turned into ARIA able to hit a devastating Zircon Cutter that took it all out of RIP before ARIA locked in “Aria” of Expertise” where RIP had no other choice but to quickly tap out earning ARIA the submission victory in 7:22 and 3 POINTS.

Joso vs Pandora Paisley

With both of these competitors getting a win last week, there is no doubt that they are more determined than ever to ride that wave of momentum as they start this match off quickly. Pandora kicks this match off, nailing Joso with a cheapshot before using that to shift the momentum in her favor from the early going. She stomped down on him repeatedly before eviscerating him with multiple Suplex variations, giving the Dynasty Elitist zero room to breathe. But it was allowing Joso to retreat into the corner that was Pandora’s undoing, as it gave him the chance to nail him with a quick kick before connecting with a beautiful Crossbody! It was there that Joso began to mount a comeback, attacking Pandora with repeated forearms before a quick DDT attempt to nail her to the mat. It was when he went for the ‘Crimson Peak’ that Pandora got the chance to turn it around, taking him down with a Hurricanrana counter before connecting with ‘Love Tap’. Joso continued to fight though, kicking out of every pin attempt that Pandora went for. Joso once again mounted a comeback, but only found himself meeting a ‘WTH’ to the face. Pandora then decided against going for a pin, and instead going for a finisher, ‘Catnip’. But Joso managed to turn that around, connecting with ‘Incoming Silence’ into ‘For Honor’. Pandora tried to fight out, but it was only when Joso rolled himself back towards the center of the ring that she was forced to tap out. With the match ending in Joso getting a submission victory in 17:46 granting him 3 POINTS.
