BLOCK A

Harley Lewis vs. Angelo Carter

The first match in Block A featured Dynasty stars Harley Lewis and Angelo Carter. Angelo and Harley came out of the gate strong, but Harley used his speed early on and tried to take out the legs of the more powerful Carter. Harley had control of the match early on, but halfway through the match, Angelo hits a release Tiger Bomb that almost got him the win. After that, it was Angelo Carter displaying an amazing variety of offense and keeping Harley Lewis grounded. At one point, Harley tried to steal the victory by pulling the tights on a rollup, but he was caught. Risk disqualification, Harley let the pin go, but received a boot in the face for his troubles from Carter. Then the Prolific one tried to win the match with his “Flatline” brainbuster, but The Heartthrob managed to slip out, grab the leg, and counter into the “Woman Stealer” Calf-Slicer submission. Angelo fought hard and clawed his way desperately to the ropes. But the pain was too much for Angelo to handle, forcing him to tap out, giving Harley the submission victory and 3 POINTS.

McCall Everett vs. Cassius Durant

Match 2 of Block A featured Voltage crowd favorite McCall Everett and Voltage newcomer Cassius Durant. McCall took quick advantage of the match as soon as the bell rang, almost overwhelming Cassius with her flying and innovative offense. One of the biggest moves of the match was McCall hitting a sunset flip powerbomb on the outside of the ring, sending the head of Durant crashing against the floor. McCall kept the advantage by having her opponent flying all over the place. But in a quick second momentum changer, Durant managed to hit a huge superkick out of nowhere changing the tide of the match in his favor. The “Head Banger” DDT gave Durant a huge near fall and dangerously close to spelling doom for Everett. Durant tried to keep his luck going as he went for it all with his “Dreadfall” STO, but McCall countered into a creative Tornado DDT. After that, it was all “Skater Gurl”. The Shining Wizard spelled doom, but it was the 450 Splash that sealed the fate of Cassius Durant. McCall Everett got the pinfall, picked up a huge victory, and gave herself 2 POINTS in the process.

Roberto De La Rosa vs. Oliver Taylor

The final match of Block A featured Showdown stars Roberto De La Rosa and Oliver Taylor. As soon as the bell rang, Oliver looked to get a victory in record time with a quick schoolboy rollup that almost caught Roberto. All it seemed to do was set Roberto off as Oliver could not keep momentum going long as Roberto quickly nailed Oliver with a big boot sending Oliver right out of the ring! Robert was looking to bring back the momentum he had at Dia Del Diablo as he completely brutalized Oliver all around ringside as the beautiful Esmeralda watched on. The Border Crasher from De La Rosa was only able to get a two count. In a moment of over confidence, De La Rosa showed off to the crowd before a moonsault attempt backfired and Oliver got back into the match with a huge Chokeslam. Oliver looked for a huge victory as he caught Roberto in a cross legged STF. Oliver almost had the victory, but Roberto managed to make it to the ropes. In a last ditch effort to win the match, Roberto went for the “Talon De Aguila” spear. But in a very creative counter, Oliver jumps up and catches the head of Roberto and executes the “English Masked Destroyer” Piledriver before hooking the legs and getting the huge upset victory. The pinfall gives Oliver Taylor 2 POINTS.

BLOCK B

Jay Jerry Johnson vs Corbin Hyde

At the start of the Match, it was red hot from the beginning with Corbin Hyde trying to immediately overwhelm Jay Jerry Johnson. However, Corbin, making sure to stay on offense would attempt a high risk move from the Top Rope, which would miss its target, the offense shifting into the favor of Triple J. After this, the pace would slow down in the favor of Jay Jerry Johnson, as no matter how much Corbin Hyde would try to fight out of it, he was seemingly knocked right back down. In the end, Corbin Hyde would try to mount a comeback, attempting to hit Jay with “Destination Fucked”, the Dicus Lariat, but Jay would move and connect with the “Pretty Visitor”, the standing Cutter to pick up an easy pinfall victory over Corbin Hyde in a one sided, 5 Minute Match to gain 2 POINTS in the Tournament.

Ethan Alexander vs Leon Dieter

From beginning to end, this Match was nothing more than a murder for Ethan Alexander. Lion Dieter tried his hardest on a few occasions to get some offense in, but no matter what, he was always cut off by the taller opponent in Ethan. Ethan basically toyed with Lion throughout the whole Match, and whenever you thought that Lion could be getting a comeback, Ethan Alexander immediately rejected it. The Match would end in quick fashion when Lion Dieter once again tried to get some offense, nailing some punches to the stomach, but all that did was piss Ethan off as he took Lion by the throat and connected with a “Cataclysm”, the Discus Clothesline to get a quick and easy 3 Minute pinfall victory to gain 2 POINTS in the Tournament.

Caroline vs Ruler

From the get go, this Match had the intensity and fast pacing that was expected. Throughout this Match, Caroline would try to continuously overwhelm Ruler, yet in the end Ruler would always stop her right in her tracks. When Caroline started to mount a comeback, she was able to hit the “Cupcake Splash”, but Ruler was able to barely manage a kick out. There were multiple times in this Match where you thought that it could’ve been over, and that Ruler or Caroline would’ve won, but in the end the Match would continue from a kick out. They would then begin to fight onto the outside, where the brawl seemingly lost all control. Caroline trying to hold her own against Ruler, and actually doing pretty well. In the end however, they would continue fighting on the outside, unweary of the Referee’s counting, and by the time that the Referee got to ten, neither Ruler nor Caroline could make it into the ring, thus ending this 15 Minute Match in a Double Countout, meaning that both Caroline and Ruler have earned 1 POINT in the Tournament.

BLOCK C

Aurora Monroe vs Kirk Redwood

Aurora Monroe vs. Kirk Redwood was a very stiff Match, both of them showcasing their striking skills, but Kirk Redwood would make it his mission to quicken the pace. He would continuously catch Aurora off guard, getting in multiple pin attempts where he would almost win the Match, but Aurora, no matter what would get a kick out. When Kirk would attempt the “.50 Cal”, Aurora would catch Kirk Redwood in midair with a nasty punch of her own right to the jaw, causing the momentum to completely shift in her favor. And from there, she would be in complete control. Kirk Redwood would have some openings where he would fight back, but no matter what he did, Aurora Monroe would completely stop him in his tracks. In the end, Kirk Redwood would mount a comeback one last time, and he would attempt a second try for the .50 Cal, but Aurora would once again catch him right in his tracks with a huge Northern Lights Suplex. At that point, Kirk was completely out of it, and Aurora practically had this Match won. Aurora would lock in an Armbar, and no matter how much Kirk would try to get to the ropes, in the end, he would have no choice but to tap, ending this 10 Minute Match with a Submission victory for Aurora Monroe, giving her 3 POINTS in this Tournament.

Rokuro Nakano vs. Ayu Megumi

As both wrestlers are introduced it is a classic clash between two Elitists from the Land of the Rising Sun putting on a display of their physical abilities and attributes. Ayu Megumi starts quick as one third of the Ice Aces uses her speed to really confuse Rokuro for a moment but as she continues to use those high risk and high reward moves, Nakano is able to catch her in a sit-down slingshot powerbomb that turns the tide of the match. Nakano is able to work down Ayu for a portion of the match, trying their best to ground the speedster, but as Nakano is looking to put this match away, Ayu is able to use her unique technique and skills of martial arts and hybrid wrestling which puts her back on track and in control of the match, but after hitting a huge Hurricanrana off the top rope she is only able to get a two count. As she tries one more time with a “Leap”, her patented Moonsault but Rokuro is able to get the knees up and Ayu is winded, hurt and Nakano hits the Tiger Suplex 85’ but Ayu is able to get the shoulder up which shocks Nakano while the fans rejoice. He then tries to hit the Emerald Fusion for the win, but Ayu is able to escape, comes from behind with a Katahajame and forces Nakano to TAP OUT! Ending the match in 8 and a half minutes via submission, granting Ayu 3 POINTS!

Liana DeLions vs Cloud Stryfe

This match was an incredible clash of styles, the unorthodox and striking ability of Cloud Stryfe and the technical wizardry of Liana De Lions. The feeling out process didn’t take very long, Liana at the get go tried to over power Cloud, using her technical wrestling and family pedigree to real control the match from the outset with suplexes, neckbreakers, wear down holds like headlocks really keeping Cloud off balance but he was able to hit a high angle back drop and followed it up with variety of shoot kicks and starts to really wear down Liana. Cloud then took control of the match using the Death Hallows to turn the tide, though Liana was hurt, she kept coming and Cloud while scoring a near pinfall, she was able to escape, only for her to turn it around and hit Cloud with a Codebreaker and almost score a pinfall. Distraught at only the two count, the DeLions progeny then tried to finish it off with the Lion’s Den, but Cloud Stryfe was able to get an elbow right in her eye that really jarred her and he was able to hit the Zero Dawn Driver for the pinfall victory! Awarding Cloud 2 POINTS in the tournament for pinfall in 10 and a half minutes!

BLOCK D

ARIA vs Danny Tanner

Showdown and Voltage natives in ARIA, and Danny Tanner start things off with a good sign of respect, shaking hands in the center of the ring as Tanner tries to snap out of his depressive state after coming up short against Jon Kelton at Shock Value, attempting to focus on the major task ahead when dealing with ARIA. The two lock up, utilizing various chain wrestling counters and transitions, the last one being an arm wringer that ARIA arm drags her way out of. From there, the pace begins to quicken a bit as ARIA tries to stand Tanner up, only to get a jawbreaker for her troubles, and after running off the ropes for a sunset flip, ARIA rolls through to her feet, and catches the seated Tanner flush with a dropkick. Going to find some breathing room, Danny rolls to the outside, and ARIA sees an opportunity for a suicide dive. But Tanner slides back in the ring, stopping her from doing so with a big boot. Tanner maintains control after this for a while with ARIA hitting offense in between, but Danny almost puts her away with moves such as the Tiger suplex. However, his opponent remains perserverant, soon fighting back with a catching Spanish fly, and following that up with a suicide dive onto Tanner. Danny comes outta nowhere with Meido Zangetsuha on his charging opponent, and tries to go for Killswitch BITCH!!! But ARIA leapfrogs over Tanner, and he walks right into a Ziricon Cutter! And a spiral tap in the form of 2TF (To the Future) puts things away for ARIA, who scores herself 2 POINTS in the New Era Classic.

Abel Itami vs Joso

The match begins with Joso and Abel Itami rolling up, but we see some brief chain wrestling between the two of them as Abel manages to get Joso down into a front headlock takedown! But, we’re able to see Joso eventually get the upper hand. Soon after, we’re followed by some flash offense with him, where we find him connecting with an ‘Incoming Silence’ (A Blue Thunder Bomb, btw), but before Joso can capitalize, Abel is able to roll himself out of the ring. Joso finds an opening to get on the top turnbuckle and connects with a moonsault as that’s enough to take Abel down. With the two Elitists down, it’s a race to see who gets to their feet first. Joso gets to his feet, but somehow, Abel manages to turn the tides of the match around by throwing Joso spine first against the ring post. Then, we see some aggression by Abel as he throws around Joso, trying to weaken him before rolling him back into the ring. Abel tries to go for his finisher, ‘Pentagram’s Wraith’ (a Gotch style piledriver), but Joso is able to turn the tides of the match around before locking in the ‘For Honor’ (chickening over-the-shoulder crossface) in the middle of the ring, leaving Abel with no other choice, but to submit, handing Joso the victory via submission in 9 and a half minutes for 3 POINTS!

RIP vs Pandora Paisley

RIP tries to look for the early advantage of the match, but Pandora Paisley manages to find herself getting the upper hand. She is able to back RIP into a corner with some punches before delivering a series of stomps to the ribs. She is able to pick him up by his braids but gets a mean-looking punch thrown in her direction, which causes her to stagger back, but RIP takes her down with a wicked clothesline and follows that up with a snap DDT and goes for the cover, but Pandora manages to kick out. We see a bit of offense from RIP, who tries to keep her down with a chin lock, but Pandora is able to find herself up to her feet and throws elbow shots to the ribs of RIP, but RIP has her by the back of her hair and slams her back! Then, he grabs the woman before throwing her out to ringside. RIP looks to make things worse for Pandora by throwing her into the barricade but looks to go for a knee as Pandora moves the hell out of the way. With the opening, Pandora chops the back of RIP’s knee before stomping on it. She grabs the chin of RIP before getting him up and connecting with a ‘WTH’ (a stiff right hook) before throwing him into the edge of the apron. She rolls herself back in the ring and looks to connect with ‘CATastrophe’ (a headlock driver), but RIP is able to get himself out of the way before taking her down with an ‘Insano’ (a single underhook lift DDT), but as he goes for the cover, Pandora kicks out at two! Then, he wears down Pandora before trying to go for his finisher, ‘Plus One’ (fisherman’s driver), but Pandora slides behind RIP, getting him in position for the ‘CATastrophe’ and pinning him for the victory in 10 minutes for 2 POINTS!
