Rising Star of the Week

Mary S. Atlas

The Rising Star of this week was Mary S. Atlas! At Dead Men Tell No Tales, Mary competed in a Unique Opportunity ladder match against three other Elitists, but there was a catch to this. Mary was joined by Harley Lewis, Lucas Johnson and Komatsu Ogawa, three Elitists who had been working together after joining forces. In the end, a little help from Hunnid Honcho allowed Mary to defy the odds and win the unique opportunity for herself, which is a very huge win seeing how outnumbered she was in this match. Congratulations to Mary S. Atlas!

Show of the Week

Dead Men Tell No Tales

The Show of the Week for this week was the final of the three brand supershows, Showdown’s Dead Men Tell No Tales! This event featured great matches, with Alex Myers, Donovan Duke, and even the Prescription and Charlie Marr defending Championships at this event! That’s not all that happened though, as the show was headlined by a huge Davy Jones Locker match, typically known as Wargames! This show would also see the Brand Warfare team try to get along as well as Hunnid Honcho being granted a Territorial Invasion opportunity! In the end this was a fantastic show for the blue brand and a great way to get closer to Territorial Invasion.

Match of the Week

The Haircare Kings, Holly Arrow & Xander Payne vs Impact, Kassidy Heart, Harper Lee & Jack Ripley

The Match of the Week for this week was the headlining match for Dead Men Tell No Tales, the Davy Jones Locker match! It has been a very long time since a Wargames match of any sort has happened in EAW, and this one did not disappoint whatsoever! All eight competitors in the match did a great job in this match despite the fact that most of them have not been in this type of match, and this proved to be a perfect way to close out Dead Men Tell No Tales, as everyone looked great and proved just how essential they are to the Showdown roster. Everyone in this match had an excellent performance, and thanks to that this match didn’t disappoint whatsoever!

Promoer of the Week

Impact

This week’s Promoer of the Week was the Answers World Champion, Impact! Impact was one of the eight Elitists competing in the Davy Jones Locker match at Dead Men Tell No Tales, and his promos this week really stood out. Facing off against his former challenger, the Cash in the Vault holder, as well as both Holly Arrow and an Elitist he knows very well in Xander Payne, Impact’s promos this week really delivered as he once again shows exactly why he believes that he is at his best even this far into his career. This was a fantastic week for Impact, who has been an amazing Answers World Champion!

Champion of the Week

Donovan Duke

The Champion of the Week for this week was the National Elite Champion, whose Dead Men Tell No Tales match was extremely competitive, Donovan Duke! In the end Donovan had a big challenge on his hands thanks to Jon Kelton, who really put everything he had into their National Elite Championship match this week! Despite the amazing efforts of Jon Kelton Donovan was able to retain his title once more, and this proved to be a huge victory for Donovan, just showcasing once again how good of a Champion he is. Donovan Duke doesn’t plan to lose the National Elite Championship anytime soon, and at this rate he might get exactly what he wants!

Most Valuable Elitist

Impact, Kassidy Heart, Harper Lee & Jack Ripley

This week has multiple Most Valuable Elitists, those Elitists being the winners of the Dead Men Tell No Tales main event, the Davy Jones Locker match! Impact, Kassidy Heart, Harper Lee and Jack Ripley had a tough task ahead of them as they somehow had to find a way to work together against four amazing competitors such as Jake Smith, Chris Elite, Holly Arrow and Xander Payne in a very chaotic stipulation. In the end they actually managed to do exactly that, picking up the victory to close out the show! This is a very talented team full of very accomplished Elitists, and in the end they proved once more what they’re capable of. Congratulations to these four Elitists!
