Rising Star of the Week

Nariko

The Rising Star of the Week for this week is one of EAW’s newest signings, Nariko! On Dynasty Nariko made her in-ring debut in EAW, and she did so in the first round of the Empress of Elite tournament, going up against Ayu Megumi! This was a fantastic performance for Nariko’s first match, and she managed to end her night on a positive note as she defeated Ayu, advancing to the second round of the Empress of Elite tournament! Congratulations to Nariko for such an impressive first match!

Beef of the Week

Candice Blair vs Ximena Velasquez

This week’s Beef of the Week goes to Dynasty’s main event, the match between Candice Blair and Ximena Velasquez! This match was already more personal than expected after the events of An Aussie Summer Christmas Spectacular, and in the end these two managed to really deliver with their promos throughout the week! This was a great week for both Candice and Ximena, and both Elitists proved that they’re extremely talented and worthy of being in this tournament. Only one woman was able to win this match, but both released amazing promos throughout the week.

Show of the Week

Showdown

The Show of the Week for this week was the first show of 2022, Showdown! This week kicked off the Empress of Elite and King of Elite tournament on the three shows, and Showdown was no exception as we saw matches such as Holly Arrow versus Usagi Senshi, Dr. Bethany Blue versus Lisa Wren, and Adam Lucas versus Jonny Airhart. That’s not all this show had to offer though, as we got confirmation for a huge match at King of Elite, as TLA was able to sign the contract to get a match against the Answers World Champion, Kassidy Heart. All in all, this was a great way to kick off the new year.

Match of the Week

Donovan Duke vs Jake Smith

The Match of the Week for this week goes to the main event of Voltage, the first round King of Elite tournament match between Donovan Duke and Jake Smith! These two have a lot of history with each other and were bound to have a great match, and in the end they delivered exactly that. The match these two put on was fantastic, and while it ended in surprising fashion as Jake was caught by surprise with a pin, these two proved that throughout time they’ve both just become even better competitors than before, and while it is Donovan moving on in the tournament, Jake has nothing to be ashamed of.

Promoer of the Week

Chris Elite

The Promoer of the Week for this week was one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Chris Elite! This was a fantastic week for Chris, who went up against Jay Jerry Johnson in a first round match for the King of Elite tournament. Chris already had a great week to end his 2021, and now to open up 2022 was a fantastic week of promos, showing everyone that even now Chris is still at the top of his game, and he has no intentions of going anywhere in this King of Elite tournament but to the very end of it.

Champion of the Week

Andre Walker

This week’s Champion of the Week is the Interwire Champion, Dynasty’s Andre Walker! On Dynasty, Andre took part in the King of Elite tournament as he faced Cloud Stryfe in the first round of the tournament. In the end Andre was able to defeat Cloud, advancing to the next round in the tournament. Andre Walker’s quickly found his way back on track following his loss to Ronn Banks, and knowing the type of competitor he is, it won’t be easy for anyone to take Andre out of this tournament. Congratulations to the Interwire Champion for advancing to the second round of the King of Elite tournament!

Most Valuable Elitist

Donovan Duke

This week’s Most Valuable Elitist is Donovan Duke! In the main event of Voltage, Donovan went up against one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Jake Smith. Not only did he face one of his former Insurgency partners, but this match happened as part of the first round of the King of Elite tournament! This was a very close match, but in the end Donovan was able to take the victory and move onto the next round, defeating one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions in the process. Congratulations Donovan Duke, who definitely has momentum on his side after these past weeks.
