Rising Star of the Week
Jay Jerry Johnson
This week’s Rising Star of the Week is Jay Jerry Johnson! At Wicked Games Jay competed in a fatal five way consisting of himself, Lucas Johnson, Kirk Redwood, the Woogieman and Kelin! Not only was this a competitive match, but the New Breed Champion Amir Yusuf was watching the match as his future challenger in Lucas Johnson was in the match. In the end Jay Jerry Johnson was the one to pick up the win though, surely drawing attention towards him in the eyes of the New Breed Champion on top of the momentum that’s now on Jay’s side. Congratulations to Jay Jerry Johnson!
Beef of the Week
Ms. Extreme & Drake King vs Jake Smith & Chris Elite
This week’s Beef of the Week goes to the tag team tournament finale between the teams of Jake Smith and Chris Elite, and Ms. Extreme and Drake King! This was a very good week of promos from both teams, and knowing that this was the end of such an interesting tournament, there was never any doubt that this finale would deliver. All four competitors have been amazing this season, and their promos this week only showed that nobody in this match wanted to leave Wickes Games without a victory. In a way they all did get their win even if only one of them was permanent, but nothing can take away from the week all four competitors had.
Show of the Week
Wicked Games
This week’s Show of the Week was without a doubt Wicked Games! This show was amazing from top to bottom, without a single match on the card that didn’t deliver. Not only was every match fantastic with things like Chris Elite’s Gawd Contract usage and Ms. Extreme’s actions in the main event to shock everyone, but this show also brought in very unique match types such as the Haunted House match between Holly Arrow and Shane Gates, a match that ended up being so good despite nobody knowing what to expect heading into it. From start to finish, this was such a great show!
Match of the Week
Myles & Minerva vs Justin Windgate & Donovan Duke
The Match of the Week for this week was Wicked Games’ main event, the Barbed Wire Massacre match between New Eden and the team of Justin Windgate and Donovan Duke! This was an amazing match that was bound to be good from the start, not just because of the Barbed Wire Massacre stipulation, but because of the hatred both teams had for each other. Both teams did great and put on a really good match, and the ending of the match left everyone in the arena shocked as Ms. Extreme interfered with a match that had Voltage on the line. This was a super important match for the yellow brand, and it definitely delivered.
Promoer of the Week
See Champion of the Week
Champion of the Week
Miku Sakai
This week’s Promoer of the Week is also the Champion of the Week, the Specialists Champion Miku Sakai! This week Miku Sakai went up against Mary S. Atlas as she had her Specialists title on the line after already successfully defending against Rebecca Blackwell, and after not only a great week of promos from her but a great match, Miku Sakai managed to retain her Championship once again, extending her second Championship reign in just one year. Miku Sakai has had a great year, and at this rate it won’t be easy for anyone to turn that around. Congratulations to Miku Sakai for yet another successful Championship defense!
Most Valuable Elitist
Myles & Minerva
The Most Valuable Elitists for this week are Myles and Minerva, two members of the group that now have control of Voltage! At Wicked Games the two New Eden members faced Justin Windgate and Donovan Duke in Barbed Wire Massacre, but above the opportunity to settle their differences was the chance for New Eden to take over Voltage. If they lost they had to disband permanently, but a win would grant them control of the show for a whole month. In the end New Eden managed to win after Ms. Extreme put Justin Windgate through an explosive barbed wire table, meaning that now Myles and Minerva are not only winners of the main event of Wicked Games, but they’re in charge of the entire Voltage roster.
