In the month of May, season 18 prepares to come to a close as we see the final marquee event before Pain for Pride, Fighting Spirit! Fighting Spirit is a show where anything can happen, as many matches at this event tend to affect Pain for Pride itself. This year was no different as multiple matches had World Championship stakes, and one of the winners at Fighting Spirit would gain this opportunity after closing a season-long chapter of his career. That Elitist is none other than May’s Elitist of the Month, Adam Lucas! Adam Lucas spent Fighting Spirit in Barbed Wire Massacre, going up against Jake Smith in a match that’d determine the challenger to the EAW World Championship at Pain for Pride. Jake is someone Adam has been trying to get his hands on for a long time now, but despite all the setbacks he was forced to face beforehand, at Fighting Spirit he was able to get the closure he wanted as he finally put an end to things, defeating Jake. Adam Lucas now will be going on to fight for the EAW World Championship at Pain for Pride, and that’s an incredible opportunity as he walks into his second Pain for Pride main event.
