The month of June was an eventful one, and it was for the same reason that it always is. The month of June is where Pain for Pride, the biggest event of the entire year, would take place. Pain for Pride lived up to the hype as always, and at this show, so many different moments were created. With this came many different Championship changes, but this would not be the case for everyone. Very few Elitists would be able to leave Pain for Pride the same way they walked in, and one of those Elitists is none other than June’s Elitist of the Month, Cy Henderson! At Pain for Pride, Cy turned out to be one of only two Elitists to retain their Championships, and also the only World Champion to retain, as he was able to successfully defend the World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat against Joso and Drake King in night three’s main event. This was a very impressive victory for Cy Henderson, especially knowing both just how many Champions were unable to do the same, and how competitive his Championship match was, with both of his opponents being former World Champions. Congratulations to the World Heavyweight Champion, who is able to head into the new season still with the gold around his waist.
