(EAW intro plays…)
(Friday Night Dynasty intro plays. After a montage covering Pain for Pride and the Draft Show plays, showing off how the landscape of Dynasty has changed, a shot of the Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington, is shown off. It’s a sold-out affair for the new season, and after pyrotechnics go off inside, the camera cuts to the commentary team. Stew-O, Jake Mercer and Flannery McCoy are on standby.)
Stew-O: Ladies and gentlemen, happy fourth of July, and WELCOME to the FIRST FRIDAY NIGHT DYNASTY OF SEASON 19!
(All three take out streamers and kazoos—patriotic in colors, of course—and blow into them.)
Jake Mercer: Yessir! We are HERE! So much to look forward to! New faces, familiar Elitists, including my GREAT LIMMY MONAGHAN!! I could… I could share a tear right about now… 🥹
Flannery McCoy: Oh, right, I forgot you went crazy for him. While it is nice to have him back on Dynasty after he spent season 18 with Voltage, it is definitely not going to be nice having you act like a rabid dog again.
Jake Mercer: Hey, I’ll be on my best behavior! Promise! Besides, he isn’t the only Dynasty star that is coming back. Milli Banks was also picked up in the draft, and while she is currently out of action due to a nasty foot injury, having the Supernova back for her third season with us is going to be great. Rest up, Big Millz!
Stew-O: And that’s not even going into Michael Machina, whose explosive start in EAW took place right here. That’s three names who spent a season away from us back on home soil, along with others such as BRAE, Drake King, Cy Henderson, Kirk Redwood, Mia Santoro, and Fire & Ice—with Mia, BRAE and the dynamic duo of Rex McAllister and Raven Roberts striking big with some gold as they’d win the Specialists, Interwire and Unified Tag Championships, respectively.
Jake Mercer: Yeah. Unfortunately, we don’t have people like Hans Grayson, Joso or Kai Rabeaux anymore, but we wish them well! Especially Joso. Bud seemed torn up on social stream about the move since he has spent all three years with us, but he’s a star regardless, and I know that he’s gonna do some big things on top of the incredible resume he’s had.
Stew-O: He will. But speaking of the draft… Methuselah was picked up for Dynasty, and right now, we will here from him himself as he kicks things off for us!
Stephie Love: Please welcome at this time… METHUSELAH!
(The crowd erupted with a tremendous mixed reaction, mostly leaning on boos, as “Vent (Original Version)” by Baby Keem featuring Kendrick Lamar began blaring loudly through the speakers. Methuselah emerged from the billowing smoke with flame pyrotechnics pulsing across the length of the stage; he made his way down the ramp with an eerie expression on his face before entering the ring with a microphone in his hand.)
Stew-O: Needless to say, having the chairman of the board open up the first episode of Friday Night Dynasty is an appropriate choice after everything that has gone down; we already saw the tremendous showdown he had at Pain for Pride against Minerva, who was ultimately able to beat him by forcing him to pass out via submission! But just saying the result can’t fully depict the intense, brutal, and bloody war that both Minerva and Methuselah went through… all for the sake of pride!
Flannery McCoy: Even after the loss at Pain for Pride, though, things have become even more complicated with the EAW Draft, where Minerva and Methuselah actually ended up trading brands with Minerva heading back to Sunday Night Voltage while Methuselah ended up coming over here to Friday Night Dynasty! It’s a shake up for the ages to say the least, and Methuselah wasted no time in making a massive statement at the very end of the EAW Draft show at the main event itself!
Jake Mercer: That’s right, he interfered in the battle of the legends between Karl Impact and my goat, the World Heavyweight Champion Cy Henderson! Methuselah’s interference was enough to help secure his Liquid Swordz partner the victory, giving Impact quite the bounce-back win over Dynasty’s world champion after his loss at Pain for Pride to Drake Armstrong! But that interference and the staredown afterwards tells me one thing, and that’s that Methuselah is going to target the World Heavyweight Champion :lupe: I want to support my goat, but I also love my job, so…
(Methuselah brought the microphone up to his mouth and began to speak.)
Methuselah: ARISE. AWAKEN. AWAKEN. ARISE. ARISE. AWAKEN. AWAKEN. ARISE. METHUSELAH ELEVATION.
Methuselah: I find myself overcome with power; salchya, I know, power in my hands is as ubiquitous as oxygen in the air, performing its obligation by sustaining life as valuable as mine and even as worthless as the rest of yours. However, there is something particularly special about this moment in time, nestled comfortably betwixt the two halves of 2025 anno Domini Methuselah Elevation. The EAW draft is akin to an annual seismic shift; nay, more than that, the tectonic plates that divide the Land of Elite, Extreme, Merchants, Beasts get hurled around like a juggler’s instruments before dropping back with completely reformed identities, down to the very gladiators that fight tooth and nail for every inch they can scrape up.
Methuselah: Your Ascended Mahatma spent nearly the entirety of the week leading up to the draft peering into my crystalline orbs that I had latched against the inside of my cryogenic recovery chamber; as my mortal vessel rested, my eternal mind was given a resource that, in the right hands, ought to be feared by all who defy the visions of Methuselah Elevation. That resource was TIME, and I used every second of it, such that even a scintilla of an idea would not escape my mind’s grasp. Every possible outcome, every possible path forward, each and every one of them were considered after what had transpired.
Methuselah: Nothing was the same. Both Machine and Mona_han, after having sacrificed years of their life to double as brick walls upon my path, were duly punished as their own ambitions withered and died; given that my visions for both of their failures ultimately came to life, the future depicted within my orbs has slowly been constructed. Of course, the most important part of that is the Overman bearing the gold of the world championship; aht, aht, good disciples do not rush the words of their master. There is yet more to cover with the power sparking from one of my fingers to another.
Methuselah: Even as I spent my time, recovering and pontificating, I received notification after notification; the vibrations in my pocket were consistent enough to single handedly power a generator, and I knew what was being said without tearing my eyes away from the orbs. The trance that left me enraptured by the Bardo could not be stirred, for the vastness of my mind cannot be shaken from what I already anticipated. My private, professional, and associated mailboxes were all being bombarded with the same insipid messages, as it turned out, all echoing the same tales.
Methuselah: All barking about the great Methuselah Elevation being ‘felled’ by the gypsy whore at Pain for Pride. Pray tell, would we be having this discussion if I had been ‘felled’? The very fact that I was the subject of the goddess of heresy’s lust for victory; after the season she had, only victory over one such as myself could even begin to repair the damage done to her soul. Despite it all, here I stand; all the hatred in her feeble little soul could not kill what I represent. What I represent will continue ever onwards; what I represent is POWER, and I will grace you all with a demonstration of that power right now. In the midst of yesteryear, my power altered the very fabric of this brand’s culture; Kensingten, Richard, join me.
(The crowd started booing as Kensingten Calhoun-Astor and Richard Grant both walked out with arrogant smiles on their faces; oddly, their theme song did not play, but it did not seem to sully their mood as they made their way down the ramp to join Methuselah in the ring.)
Kensingten: That’s right, sir, we got into this position because of you! And I’m sure you can see how well we’ve done with the place since we got our hands on it.
Richard: The scum that held the World Heavyweight Championship finally dropped it, and now we have one of history’s greatest legends holding the gold! Not only that, but the culture of Dynasty has finally started getting better after the era where hooligans and thugs were able to run rampant! Not on our watch!
Methuselah: A very well-put together, concise summary of your time as this brand’s general managers. Do you have anything else to say for yourself?
Kensingten: Er… well, we’re glad to have you on our brand, that’s for sure! That’s why we drafted you! Our roster is amazing this year, and there’s no doubt that this will be a season to remember for Friday Night Dynasty.
Methuselah: A season to remember, yes. Your last words have been duly noted.
Richard: Huh? Last words?
Methuselah: Salachya, did I forget to mention? You are both fired.
(The crowd suddenly roared with cheers as the smiles on Kensingten and Richard’s faces dropped in an instant.)
Kensingten: F-fired?! Why? What did we do?
Methuselah: ‘Why’? You question the wise judgement of Methuselah Elevation?
Richard: W-we don’t think you’re wrong or anything, sir, but I think you ought to reconsider–
Methuselah: Asking me to reconsider implies your distrust in the veracity of my instincts. Awfully cocky of you two. Did you think that your coronation as this brand’s general managers was permanent? Prithee, tell me, did you think that I owed you my allegiance for having done so by my hand? I said it before and I will say it again; power exists in MY hands, and I shall use it as I see fit. SECURITY!
(Kensingten and Richard were suddenly swarmed by security officers who violently dragged them off-screen as the crowd began chanting jeers and facetious goodbyes at the pair. Methuselah cut off the sound of their screaming as he continued speaking.)
Methuselah: This new epoch of EAW shall be symbolized by the notion of change; lo, I can snap my fingers and undo all that ser Bronson risked his spine to prevent one year prior. In the spirit of change, I will address my actions at the show of the draft. As I peered into the future throughout my brief week of respite, it was the face of one Cy Henderson that appeared more than most. The well-known ‘redemption story’ to some, whilst a fall from moral grace to others, has been the controversial tale of Cyclone in his umpteenth return to the land of Elite, Extreme, Merchants, Beasts. Like a windstorm, he drifts in and out at the drop of a hat; always causing havoc, but always subject to inevitable eradication with the same level of certainty.
Methuselah: Verily, my thesis has not changed. At some point throughout Cyclone’s journeys, we will all be disappointed. I have seen this story before, and I lack the patience to allow the disappointment to come about even without divine intervention; this time, I will see to it with my own power-imbued hands and prevent him from forcing us to feel second-hand humiliation. The World Heavyweight Championship requires a steady, reliable home, and there exists no elitist whose name and identity are more synonymous with longevity than Methuselah Elevation.
Methuselah: I give unto you this simple message, Cyclone: your time with the World Heavyweight Championship was always limited, but with my drafting to Dynasty, I will see to it that it ends as abruptly as it started. We will see how long your oft-broken loyalty to my company can last upon the conclusion of your reign. OVER FOR THOU.
(“Vent (Original Version)” by Baby Keem featuring Kendrick Lamar began blaring through the speakers once more as Methuselah slowly lowered his microphone, staring at the hard cam with nothing but a smirk plastered across his face as he let his words hang.)
Stew-O: I can’t believe what I just saw, but with one speech, Methuselah changed EVERYTHING heading into the new season of Dynasty! Kensingten Calhoun-Astor and Richard Grant have both been fired, and Methuselah hasn’t even announced a new general manager to take their place yet!
Flannery McCoy: That didn’t even seem to be a priority for him as he instead chose to solidify what everyone else was already thinking… Methuselah is going to go head to head with Cy Henderson to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship! This is a match up that we haven’t seen in AGES since the last time they both competed for a world championship against each other!
Jake Mercer: Both wrestlers are COMPLETELY different people at this point, but what can’t be denied is that both of them are as fearsome as ever; this is like two unstoppable forces going head to head, and I can only imagine that the outcome will be explosive!
(The video feed lingered on Methuselah’s smirking face before fading to black.)
(A commercial plays for Metal Gear Solid Δ: SNAKE EATER.)
Stephie Love: The following is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Rain’ by VKL hits the speakers and Sorn makes his way out from the back. He tags the fans on his way down the ramp, ready to go and focused on winning his match tonight.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first, weighing in at 167 pounds, from Osaka, Japan, he is “THE FUTURE ACE” … SOORRRNNNN!!!
(After that, Sorn’s theme cues out in favor of ‘Ballad of a Prodigal Son’ by Lincoln Durham. As always, Kirk Redwood is followed to the ring by his girlfriend and manager, Amanda Miller. She follows closely as the fired up Kirk slaps himself a couple of times, stomping down the ramp. He slides in the ring and throws his fist up, before turning and getting face to face with Sorn.)
Stephie Love: His opponent, accompanied by Amanda Miller, weighing in at 210 pounds, from Boston, Massachusetts, he is “UNKILLABLE” KIIRRRKKK! REDDWOOODDDDD!!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Flannery McCoy: Both Kirk Redwood and Sorn circle around the ring and it’s clear they want to make a strong impression here in the new season for Dynasty! They snap into a tight collar & elbow tie-up with one another, but Kirk throws Sorn back! Sorn shakes his head, charging in—FOREARM FROM KIRK! Now Sorn fires back! And both of these men are going tit for tat! Sorn with a knee to the ribs, and then spins into a legsweep that gets Kirk to fall down to his face! He kneels up and Sorn swings a roundhouse, but Kirk ducks down and he captures the leg! He trips Sorn down onto his face right after!
Jake Mercer: Kirk rises and leaps into a headlock! He wrenches it in, and it is very tight! Sorn grits his teeth, slowly building up to his feet. He brings Kirk to the ropes and sends him off! But Kirk comes off at high speed! Shoulder tackle! Down goes Sorn! Kirk hits off the ropes immediately after but Sorn rolls over, trying to trip him. Kirk leaps over and both men are up to their feet. Sorn with a leapfrog—no! Sorn catches him in mid-air and spins into a powerslam! Sorn holds his back in pain! Kirk follows up with a chinlock. He wrenches it in tight and Sorn reaches around, wheezing. He tries his hardest to get back up…
Stew-O: Elbow to the ribs! Sorn with another elbow! And another one! He drops down, flipping Kirk over his shoulder! Kirk rises and Sorn with a dropkick! Kirk rolls through, rising as Sorn wants a second one! But Kirk catches the legs! He rolls him over into a BOSTON CRAB ! The Boston Crab is really in deep, and he just locked it in on Sorn! Kirk sits back, really straining the back of Sorn! Sorn cries out in pain, reaching for the ropes! He pushes his hands on the canvas, beginning to crawl to the bottom rope! Kirk continues to hold it in tight, but Sorn refuses to tap out! This is a real battle right now!
Flannery McCoy: Sorn keeps crawling, desperately trying to make it to the bottom rope. He’s very close… but no! Redwood drags him back to the center of the ring! And once again, he is sitting on the back of Sorn! Sorn wheezes out, and tears may be welling up in his eyes. A boston crab is no joke, especially with the pressure that it can do to your lungs. It’ll knock the air out of you! But Sorn keeps fighting, and he flips Redwood off of him! That was tough, but he got it! Sorn slowly pushes himself up from the canvas…
Jake Mercer: Lariat from Redwood, no! Sorn ducks underneath! Redwood turns back and swings another! NO! Sorn catches the arm and traps him, bringing him down into a Fujiwara armbar! The tables have turned dramatically! Now Sorn is the one who’s got a tight submission in, and this isn’t going to bode well for Redwood! At all! He reaches for the ropes, but Sorn continues to hold a tight grip on his arm! He squeezes on the wrist, clamping down as tight as he possibly can. Redwood bangs the canvas with his free arm, struggling.
Stew-O: He reaches for the ropes, but it’s going to be a challenge just to drag his whole body along when Sorn is already pressing down on his back in addition to the strong armbar. Redwood starts to shift to his side, but Sorn is privy to that and moves with him. Still trying to press down so he can’t get much movement, but Redwood rolls to the side and both men are up! Sorn is holding tight to the arm of Redwood, but Kirk slams a massive elbow into his mouth! He may have chipped a tooth there! Redwood runs forward, slamming Sorn into the turnbuckles!
Flannery McCoy: With pure brute strength, Redwood RIPS himself of the free and a MASSIVE CORNER LARIAT! He was seeking that lariat and he’s finally got it! Sorn leans against the turnbuckles, completely shellshocked by the power of Redwood. Kirk powers Sorn up onto his shoulder and he runs forward to the center of the ring! DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN BRINGS SORN RIGHT DOWN ON THE CANVAS! The back of Sorn’s head bounces off, and Kirk rolls over, hooking his legs! That was a nasty landing!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWW—
Jake Mercer: But Sorn kicks out before we even get to two! At least there’s a sign there is still tons of life in him! Kirk pulls Sorn up from the canvas. He lifts him up onto his shoulder, but Sorn throws down an elbow to the side of his head! He throws another elbow! Sorn drops down, and he dropkicks Kirk’s legs out and he falls flat onto his face! Kirk tries to get back up, but Sorn rises to his feet. He traps the arm of Kirk and he rolls forward into a LA MAGISTRAL CRADLE!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWW—
Stew-O: Can’t get a two count on Redwood either! Both men rise and throw a boot at the same exact time! Sorn got the worse of that, though! Redwood bounces off the ropes and ANOTHER BOOT! This time it turns Sorn inside out! Redwood rises to his feet, pulling Sorn up. He’s not done from there at all. He holds him up and peppers him with a combination of slaps and palm strikes! Sorn desperately tries to cover up, but Kirk won’t give him any reprieve!
Flannery McCoy: ONE MORE SLAP FROM REDWOOD! And Sorn buckles down, holding the side of his face. He wheezes, reaching up for Redwood’s kneepad. Kirk slaps his hand away and he pulls Sorn up from the canvas. He turns him around and traps that arm he slammed away! This isn’t good! Sorn may have just set himself up for failure!
Jake Mercer: BASTARD-PLEX! THE ARM-TRAPPED BACK SUPLEX CONNECTS, AND IT PLOPS SORN RIGHT ON THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! Sorn isn’t even moving, and Kirk is bridged up into the cover! Now this could be the end of the match! The referee slides down to the count!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Stew-O: But Sorn proves to have endurance on his side! He finds a way to kick up! Redwood sits up, shaking his head. He definitely would’ve gained a lot of momentum if he was able to end the match so quickly, but Sorn won’t stay down so easily! Kirk rises to his feet, looking down at Sorn who’s laid out. He hunches over and he SLAPS him! Kirk roars in Sorn’s face, daring him to get up and keep fighting! Sorn reaches up for him—ANOTHER SLAP FROM KIRK!
Kirk Redwood: (off-mic) COME ON! SHOW ME WHAT YOU’RE MADE OF!
Jake Mercer: Sorn desperately tries to rise to his feet, but Kirk nails him with ANOTHER slap! Sorn staggers, and Kirk winds back one more! Sorn ducks! A slap from Sorn! Another one! And then a spinning thrust kick from Sorn! He hits off the ropes and FLIES INTO A KNEE! Redwood bounces off the ropes! Sorn is turned from all of the energy he expended in that knee! GIVING REDWOOD THE OPENING TO FLY INTO ‘BLITZKRIEG BOP!’ RUNNING KNEE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!!!
Stew-O: NO! SORN HEARD SOMETHING AND MOVED JUST IN TIME! Redwood falls onto his back, which gives Sorn the opening to leap into a STANDING MOONSAULT! Redwood holds his ribs, rolling away. He scrambles under the bottom rope, trying to recover. But Sorn rushes over to the ropes, wasting no time! He wants Redwood to feel every bit of his momentum!
Flannery McCoy: CORKSCREW PESCADO! Sorn soars over the top rope and he brings Kirk down! Kirk topples to the floor and Sorn rises, slapping his chest! He’s feeling the energy now! He drags Kirk up and throws him into the ring. Sorn hops onto the apron, running his hands along the top rope. He waits for Kirk to rise to his feet… He springboards up to his feet! AND HE FLIES INTO A FOREARM SMASH! The forearm brings Kirk down and he kips up to his feet right after! Now this match has turned in complete favor of Sorn!
Stew-O: Redwood slowly rolls over and Sorn backs up, calling him to his feet. He runs forward with a CORNER ENZUIGIRI! Kirk stumbles out of the turnbuckles, holding his head. And Sorn grabs him by the head… Kirk has no clue of where he’s at! ‘GUN STUN!’ THE CUTTER BRINGS REDWOOD RIGHT DOWN TO THE CANVAS! HE ROLLS HIM OVER AND HE HOOKS THE LEGS! WILL THIS BE IT?!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Jake Mercer: NOOOPEEEE! Kirk kicks out! How close that was, though! Sorn sits up, running his hands through his hair. He really hoped to be done with it there, but Redwood won’t stay down so easily! He rolls away, laid out under the bottom rope. Sorn rises to his feet and claps his hands. He looks around, hearing the roar of the crowd. Redwood tries to get back up to his feet, but he topples down to the ground. Sorn takes him by the head and slowly brings him to the center of the ring.
Flannery McCoy: Sorn grabs the head of Redwood and nails him with a palm strike that stuns him! Redwood is stunned on his feed and Sorn turns around! HE LEAPS TO THE MIDDLE ROPE! HIS FINISHING ‘SPRINGBOARD CUTTER’ — NO! REDWOOD WITH THE ‘BLITZKRIEG BOP!!!’ THE FLYING KNEE TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD! SORN GOES DOWN, AND REDWOOD CRUMPLES DOWN WITH HIM! WHAT A COUNTER!
Stew-O: And that leaves Sorn completely out of it! Redwood rises to his feet and he drags Sorn up, wasting no time! He scoops him upside down and runs to the center of the ring! ‘DOWN TO HELL!’ THE LEAPING TOMBSTONE FLOORS SORN! HE’S NOT MOVING! AND REDWOOD ROLLS OVER, HOOKING THE LEGS FOR THE COVER!
OOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner of this match, KIRK REDWOOD!
(Kirk rolls off of Sorn, his statement made. He rises to his feet, fired up. The referee takes his wrist and raises his arm up. Kirk slaps his chest, pacing around the ring. The referee tends to Sorn, who is still trying to figure out where he’s at.)
Jake Mercer: Statement made by Kirk Redwood tonight! Sorn fought hard, but it wasn’t hard enough as the veteran saw an opening and masterfully took it.
Stew-O: Redwood isn’t a tough opponent, for anyone. He’s taken on many newer Elitists and they’ve always struggled against him. Tonight was no different, as you can see.
Flannery McCoy: We can only imagine what’s next for Kirk. This may very well be his season to shine, you never know!
(A commercial plays for Chipotle.)
( “Judas” by Lady Gaga echoes throughout the Spokane Arena to a resounding pop as Holly Arrow jerks the curtain and steps onto the stage. She wears a Liverpool FC Jersey, turning around and pointing her thumb at the name and kit number of the late Diogo Jota before making her way down to the ring. )
Stephie Love: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN… Please welcome, HOLLY ARROW!!
Jake Mercer: It has been two weeks since Pain for Pride 18 wrapped up and one of the biggest conversations of that weekend included Holly Arrow, but not in the way she was planning to.
Stew-O: Holly Arrow was looking to secure a victory on the grandest stage of them all, instilling trust with Xander Payne in the process, but that would turn out to be a fatal mistake. She fell victim to what we all thought would never happen. A lot of the EAW Universe believed that Xander Payne was a changed man, that he wouldn’t turn his back on Holly, and he shocked the entire world when he turned on Holly and, in turn, aligned with Caroline and Jake Smith.
Flannery McCoy: Therefore, Holly Arrow was embarrassed and stood up at Pain for Pride, leaving the other three to walk away in success, and now we’re wondering where her head is after the outcome.
(Holly Arrow waves towards the crowd before being handed a microphone and beginning to speak.)
Holly Arrow: Let’s skip all of the formalities and get straight to the facts; Pain for Pride did not go my way. It didn’t in the season prior, and it didn’t once again. It was the second consecutive season that saw me reap the consequences of putting my trust in the wrong crowd of people.
Holly Arrow: It’s no longer a headline, it’s no longer a special day, it’s become default to see me sustain another terrible loss. There wasn’t a lot from last season where I could say went my way, and after making the same mistake twice, it feels easier to give up. As I was wiping the black mist out of my eyes, just barely holding them open to see those three in tandem, that was when it started to become simple. After that, it felt natural for my feet to flee in the other direction and to step away from the eyes of this industry. The inability to produce a smile, for the sake of being optimistic and pushing forward, was starting to seem normal, but there is this stubbornness about me… It’s the reason why I still come back after every loss, it’s the reason why I made it to Pain for Pride, and it is the reason why I am standing in the middle of this ring.
Holly Arrow: It’s the stubbornness within me that reminds me that Holly Arrow is no quitter. It keeps me connected with my dignity because I know that if I tuck my tail in between my legs and abandon my hopes and dreams simply because it didn’t go my way, it would not only do no good for it, but it would also eat me inside. I wouldn’t be able to function properly; I wouldn’t be able to live with that decision. I have never been the type of person to give up, and I am not going to change who I am now, especially for those praying for my downfall.
( The crowd in Spokane begins to rally behind Holly Arrow, giving her a boost of confidence despite her low optimism.)
Holly Arrow: I have put countless amounts of days and hours into this industry, and if I just turn my back on it, then that would put it all to waste. The times when I sacrificed my heart and spirit; it was because I believed, and I still do truly believe, that I have what it takes to not only hold a championship here in Elite Answers Wrestling, but to be the very best. And I know that if I just keep doing it, if I keep digging into the dirt and working my ass off, then something will come of it. Surely.
Holly Arrow: Granted, this will be no easy task, and I understand that this isn’t the first time that I’ve come out here, particularly after suffering a disappointing loss, and claiming that I am going to work even harder than I was before. But I can promise you that I am going to do whatever it takes to ensure that this is the last time I ever do that. I have made false promises in the past year. I’ve said that I am going to win this and that and become this and that, and they all have yet to come to fruition. But that changes from this point on because I refuse, with every inch of my body, with every part of my heart and soul, for this season to go exactly like the last.
Holly Arrow: This season will not be full of those losses, and those what-ifs, and those missed opportunities and chances. This season will not succumb to the same mistakes and failures. It will not be a repeat of anything, but it will be a renewal. A renewal of Holly Arrow.
( Holly Arrow lowers the microphone and it appears like she has more to say. But she holds back and stops talking as “Judas” by Lady Gaga begins to play once again. The crowd cheers to her speech as she looks around, smiling before making her back to the locker room. )
Flannery McCoy: Well, there you have it. Holly Arrow is back to spend another season on Dynasty, but it seems like she’s got something in mind to make sure that it will not be a repeat of history.
Jake Mercer: What could this renewal possibly mean?
Stew-O: Who knows! But what we do know is that Holly Arrow has a huge opportunity here on Dynasty to steer her career in the right direction.
(A commercial plays for Voltage’s Bloodsport.)
(‘Phenomenal’ by Eminem begins to play through the speakers. The crowd begins to give a negative reception to Shio Corin, who comes out from the back, full of cockiness as he surveys the crowd in front of him.)
Stephie Love: THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS A TAG TEAM MATCH AND IT’S SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL–
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!!!!
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING FIRST…FROM PHILADELPHA, PENNSYLVANIA…WEIGHING IN AT 225 POUNDS…SHIO CORIN!!!!!!!
Stew-O: Shio Corin was one of the participants in the 24/7 Battle Royal at Pain for Pride; however, he would leave the event empty handed. He put in all the effort he possibly could, but it wasn’t good enough to win the match.
Flannery McCoy: That was last season. It’s a new season, Stew! He goes from Saturday Night Showdown to Friday Night Dynasty and perhaps, this new scenery is what he needs to help build himself up and break out. We’ve seen it happen to the likes of Michael Machina, who had one of the best rises in recent memory, so what’s stopping him from doing the same thing?
Jake Mercer: Good point there, Flann. He’s got a tough task to begin this season off. He’s not going against any team, but the Unified Tag Team Champions. If there is a way to step up and set the standard for himself, it’s tonight.
(‘Razorface’ by Celdweller begins to play through the speakers. David Gideon Smith comes out from the back with the clock covering his face for the moment, before revealing it. The Black Blade gesture is done as he looks next to him, where Shio Corin looks at him. He nods at David before the two men make their way down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING HIS PARTNER…FROM OMAHA, NEBRASKA…WEIGHING IN AT 245 POUNDS…HE IS ‘THE SOVEREIGN’…DAVID GIDEON SMITH!!!!!!
Stew-O: Now, if there is someone who had great showing at Pain for Pride, it’s David Gideon Smith. While he did not walk away with the 24/7 contract, his elimination did not come easy. You can ask any Elitist that was in the ring with him.
Flannery McCoy: He made it to the final three before being eliminated by Akari Kiyoko. But, it was an impressive performance. It did not matter if it was two, three or four men, but he powered through the best of his abilities. This guy is going to be a powerhouse for sure this season. I can assure you that.
Jake Mercer: Like with Shio Corin, he’ll be stepping into the ring with the Unified Tag Team Champions. Not only that, but they’re former World Champions. Rex McAllister is in the Hall of Fame. Raven is one of the most decorated women in the company. It won’t be easy to knock them down, but I’d like to see them try.
(‘I2I’ by Magnolia Park begins to play through the speakers. Fire & Ice – Raven Roberts and Rex McAllister, the newly crowned Unified Tag Team Champions, come out from the back. Confidence oozes out of them as they embrace the ovation from the crowd.)
Stephie Love: AND…INTRODUCING THEIR OPPONENTS…THEY ARE THE EAW UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS… ‘THE LIONHEART’ REX MCALLISTER AND ‘THE BIRD OF PREY’ RAVEN ROBERTS…FIRE & ICE!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: At Pain for Pride, Fire & Ice two impressive tag teams to capture the Unified Tag Team Champions for a second time ever. This time around, they hope to make the most out of this reign.
Flannery McCoy: Both of them had their own string of bad luck last season. It seemed like things weren’t so clear, but they were able to end their season on a positive note. Now, they walk into Season 19 on top of the tag team division.
Jake Mercer: They want to be the champions that take on any competition. They want to face the best of the best. They want to face teams that have something to prove. Rex McAllister and Raven Roberts are two amazing Elitists and they’re up against two rising stars, who would love to use them as stepping stones to the next level. Is that going to happen? We’ll have to wait and see!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: Rex McAllister and Shio Corin begin this match off for their respective teams!
Flannery McCoy: Shio Corin is standing tall with one-half of the newly crowned EAW Unified Tag Team Champions!
Jake Mercer: Shio Corin is jumping in place, hyping himself up before he goes for a lock up with Rex McAllister –
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: Shio Corin just rolled out of the ring before Rex McAllister could get his hands on him! If you look at David Gideon Smith, you see that he doesn’t look amused by the theatrics by his tag team partner tonight! David is demanding for Shio to get back inside the ring, but Shio is pacing back-and-forth! He’s brewing a plan for sure!
Flannery McCoy: I think that Rex McAllister is allowing Shio Corin to get to the ring! Starting off this season on the right foot! Shio enters back inside the ring! The referee steps aside to finally let this match take place, but Rex rushes towards Shio! Shio ducks his head through the middle rope and out of the ring! He is demanding for the referee to hold back Rex! Like, Rex wants to do something about it! Instead, Rex shakes his head! I can tell that he’s not into this whole set of mind games from his opponent tonight!
Jake Mercer: Rex McAllister can be serious at times. He’s really focused on putting on the best performance possible. That also means having an opponent that is willing to do the same thing. Rex makes sure to stay as far away as possible. I mean, you can’t really blame Shio Corin.
Stew-O: Shio Corin is insisting that Rex McAllister tag in Raven Roberts into the match instead? :mjlol:
Flannery McCoy: That may not be the smartest decision there, but Rex McAllister tells Shio to “suit himself” before tagging in the other half of the Unified Tag Team Champions!
Referee: (off-mic) TAG!
Jake Mercer: Raven Roberts, now a blonde, enters the ring! Now, you can see a boost of confidence beginning to show around the face of Shio Corin! Raven finds herself in a mid range boxing stance! Shio has his hands in a close range! The two Elitists begin to lock up as Shio wraps his arms around the waist of Raven! He stands behind the champion! But, Raven manages to break free of the waist lock! She runs to the ropes, rebounds off of them as Shio gets himself in a plank position! She runs to the other ropes, rebounds off of them as Shio leap frogs above her! She runs and rebounds off the set of ropes as she slides underneath the legs of Shio! She slaps Shio across the face as that sends him stumbling to the side! There, Raven manages to get to her feet before pushing Shio into the horizontal set of ropes before grabbing him by the waist and taking him back with a German suplex!
Stew-O: Shio Corin goes down as he tries to get back to his feet! Raven Roberts beats him to the punch as she connects with a shotgun dropkick as she sends Shio back into the corner! Raven begins to connect with a series of stumps to the ribs of Shio! She grabs him by the arm before whipping him to the corner diagonally from them! THERE, RAVEN CHARGES TOWARDS SHIO AT THE CORNER, CONNECTING WITH A CLOTHESLINE! SHE GETS POSSESSION OF HIS WRIST BEFORE SENDING HIM FORWARD WITH AN O GOSHI JUDO THROW! BUT, SHE DOESN’T LET GO OF THE ARM! SHE CONNECTS WITH A SECOND O GOSHI JUDO THROW! AND, A THIRD! AND, A FOURTH! AND, A FIFTH! SHIO IS FEELING MASSIVE PAIN IN HIS ARM AT THE MOMENT AS HE FINDS REFUGE AT HIS CORNER WITH DAVID GIDEON SMITH!
Flannery McCoy: Shio Corin looks at David Gideon Smith, extending his hand! David doesn’t look amused! Almost like he knew that Shio’s mind games wouldn’t end well for him!
Referee: (off-mic) TAG!
Jake Mercer: David Gideon Smith tags into the match! Now, we’ve mentioned on an occasion or two that we ought to keep our eyes on David Gideon Smith as we begin Season 19. Raven Roberts seems to be pumped up and ready for a fight! David rushes towards her, but David manages to get a knee to the abdomen of David! Raven begins to connect with a series of fists to the spine of David! Slowly, David drops down to one knee! Raven looks to carry up David for a t-bone suplex! BUT, DAVID DROPS DOWN! HE LANDS ON HIS FEET AS HE THROWS A FOREARM TO THE UNIFIED TAG TEAM CHAMPION! RAVEN GOES BACK! DAVID GOES FOR ANOTHER FOREARM TO RAVEN’S FACE! BUT, RAVEN DUCKS! SHE GRABS DAVID BY THE ARM BEFORE DROPPING HIM DOWN WITH A FLATLINER AS SHE GOES FOR THE FIRST PIN FALL ATTEMPT OF THE MATCH!
OOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTTTTTWWWWWWW–
Stew-O: David Gideon Smith with a kick out! Raven Roberts gets David up and applies a front headlock! But, David manages to battery ram Raven to the corner! He begins to deliver some rapid fists to her forehead! Raven begins to slide down to a seated position! Instead, David manages to place her on the top turnbuckle! Now, I’m curious to see what he has in mind right here! He tries to get himself up on the apron with Raven! But, you can see that Rex McAllister is trying to get the attention of David! For a slight second, David takes his eyes off Raven, so that he can go after Rex! But, Rex takes a step back! David glares at Rex before looking to shift his focus back on Raven! But, Raven from the top rope!
Flannery McCoy: CROSSBODY – NO! DAVID GIDEON SMITH MANAGES TO CATCH HER ON THE SHOULDER! NOW, HE GOES FOR THE RUNNING POWERSLAM TO EACH OF THE CORNERS! EACH ONE SEEMS JUST AS PAINFUL AS THE OTHER ONE! IN THE LAST CORNER, HE GETS RAVEN ROBERTS IN A TREE OF WOE POSITION! OKAY, THIS DOESN’T LOOK GOOD FOR RAVEN! HE BEGINS TO STOMP ON THE FACE OF RAVEN! THE CROWD DOESN’T SEEM TO LIKE THAT WHATSOEVER! HE PRESSES HIS BOOT ON THE FACE OF THE CHAMPION! NOW, HE LOOKS AT REX MCALLISTER AS THE REFEREE IS FORCED TO COUNT!
Referee: (off-mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Jake Mercer: David Gideon Smith does not want to risk disqualification! He would love nothing more than to add another victory in the books for him! David is staring down with the other half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Rex McAllister! MEANWHILE, YOU CAN SEE THAT SHIO CORIN HAS OTHER THINGS IN HIS MIND! HE GETS INSIDE THE RING AND QUICKLY CONNECTS WITH STOMPS OF HIS OWN! Rex is trying to get the attention of the referee, but Shio manages to roll himself out of the ring before the referee could catch him in the dirty act! The crowd does not like this whatsoever! David Gideon Smith is staring back at Shio Corin, almost like he’s quite suspicious of what he did! But, Shio has his hands up in defense!
Stew-O: David Gideon Smith would love nothing more than to win this match on his miert! He wants to prove that he’s more than capable of getting the job done by himself! Well, it may be tough since it’s a tag team match, but he knows that Shio Corin can be a bit sneaky and resort to these dirty tricks to win, so there might be a bit of conflict there.
Flannery McCoy: It’s a valid conflict, honestly. David Gideon Smith manages to sit Raven Roberts back up on the turnbuckle! Now, he manages to climb up the turnbuckle himself and I’m not sure what he’s cooking, but it seems like Raven might crash and burn here!
Jake Mercer: HALF-NELSON SUPLEX FROM THE TOP ROPE! :damn: :damn: :damn:
Stew-O: DAVID GIDEON SMITH MANAGES TO TAKE DOWN RAVEN ROBERTS! IN THE PROCESS, HE MAY HAVE TAKEN DOWN HIMSELF! BUT, HE CRAWLS TO COVER RAVEN!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTTWWWWWWW–
Flannery McCoy: Raven Roberts with a kick out! David Gideon Smith looks back towards his corner where Shio Corin is looking for a tag! Of course, he wants back into the match after seeing Raven down! David begins to crawl for a tag –
Referee: (off-mic) TAG!
Jake Mercer: Shio Corin enters the match once more! It seems like Raven Roberts is looking to tag in Rex McAllister for the match! But, Shio manages to grab Raven by her foot! He pulls her away from the corner with Rex! Shio begins to stomp on the spine of Raven! He stands on top of the champion as he has his hands out in the open! He is oozing confidence at the moment! This seems to upset Rex, but Shio resumes the beating on Raven that David Gideon Smith was working on!
Stew-O: Shio Corin picks up Raven Roberts by the back of her head before throwing her head first to the turnbuckle at the corner! There, Shio begins to stomp on the Unified Tag Team Champion! He grabs her arm before irish whipping her to the corner diagonally from them! Raven’s spine crashes to the corner there! Shio charges right after her, connecting with a monkey flip as that sends her in front of him! He runs to the vertical set of ropes in front of him, rebounds off of them and connects with a dropkick to Raven’s face! Raven is sent back! Now, it seems like Shio is looking to wrap up this match for his team! He knows that he needs to keep someone as established as Raven down as soon as possible! The longer this match goes for, the more it will end in her favor!
Flannery McCoy: SHIO CORIN SITUATES HIMSELF ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A HIGH-ANGLE SENTON BOMB! HE LANDS RIGHT ON THE RIBS OF RAVEN ROBERTS! SHIO IS IN PERFECT POSITION FOR A PIN FALL ATTEMPT!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TTTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Jake Mercer: RAVEN ROBERTS WITH A KICK OUT! SHIO CORIN PICKS UP RAVEN AND I THINK THAT HE’S GOING FOR THE ‘MIC CHECK’ – HIS VARIATION OF THE LEG HOOK REVERSE STO!
Stew-O: No! Rex McAllister races back inside the ring! This causes Shio Corin to throw Raven to the side and go after Rex! The two men are exchanging blows at each other! Shio gets knocked back thanks to Rex! BUT, DAVID GIDEON SMITH GIVES REX THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE BY CONNECTING WITH A ‘EDGE LOGIC: I’ – HIS VARIATION OF THE ROUNDHOUSE KICK AS THAT TAKES REX DOWN! THE REFEREE IS TRYING TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THIS MATCH UP! SHIO GETS RAVEN AND THROWS HER THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND TO THE OUTSIDE!
Flannery McCoy: Shio Corin rolls himself out of the ring and proceeds to battery ram Raven Roberts to the front of our table! Raven Roberts clutches her lower back in pain! Shio gets Raven and throws her ribs first to the edge of the apron! This causes Raven to collapse to the ground instantly! Shio finds himself on the apron! HE WAITS FOR RAVEN TO FIND HIMSELF BACK UP TO HER FEET BEFORE HE JUMPS OFF THE APRON AND CONNECTS WITH A CANNONBALL SENTON AS HE LANDS RIGHT ON THE CHAMPION! HE GOES OVER TO THE CORNER AND PROCEEDS TO TAG IN DAVID GIDEON SMITH! OH BOY!
Referee: (off-mic) TAG!
Jake Mercer: DAVID GIDEON SMITH JUMPS FROM THE APRON AND LOOKS TO PICK UP RAVEN ROBERTS FROM GROUND! HE HAS HER BY THE HAIR AS HE CONNECTS WITH A BIEL AS HE SENDS HER ACROSS THE RINGSIDE! RAVEN CRASHES ONTO ONE OF THE BARRICADES! Yikes! That did not look good whatsoever! It’s rare to see Raven being handled like that! But, still, she finds a way back to her feet! Rex McAllister is looking at Raven with concern on his face! David goes right after Raven, looking to resume the punishment, but Rex can’t stand to see his wife not get the upper hand! He runs across the apron and connects with a front flip dive to take down David at ringside!
Stew-O: Then, Shio Corin looks to get the upper hand on the Unified Tag Team Champion by connecting with a crossbody, but Rex McAllister manages to catch Shio before connecting with a backbreaker and follow that with a powerslam! He gets Raven Roberts and rolls her back inside the ring! He is trying to get a tag to get into this match! Raven begins to crawl to Rex –
Flannery McCoy: BUT, DAVID GIDEON SMITH MANAGES TO GRAB THE FOOT OF RAVEN ROBERTS, PULLING HER AWAY IN THE PROCESS! DAVID STILL HAS POSSESSION OF RAVEN’S FOOT AND HE LOOKS TO APPLY THE CROSS HEEL LOCK THAT HE LIKES TO CALL ‘THE LOW ROAD!’ IS HE GOING TO MAKE RAVEN SUBMIT HERE? CAN YOU IMAGINE IF DAVID MANAGES TO GET THE VICTORY HERE? THIS COULD DEFINITELY BE BENEFICIAL TO HIM!
Jake Mercer: Most definitely, Flannery! But, Raven Roberts is refusing for the submission hold to be locked in! She has her hand on the bottom rope! That’s some wonderful ring awareness by the former World Champion! DAVID GIDEON SMITH BEGINS TO CONNECT WITH A SERIES OF ELBOWS TO THE RIBS OF RAVEN! RAVEN IS DOING HER BEST TO COVER HERSELF, BUT DAVID’S ELBOWS ARE TOO RAPID! IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP IT!
Stew-O: NOW, IT SEEMS LIKE DAVID GIDEON SMITH IS LOOKING TO APPLY A CROSS ARMBREAKER ON RAVEN ROBERTS! BUT, RAVEN MANAGES TO USE HER LONG LIMBS TO GET HER FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE! YOU CAN SEE A BIT OF FRUSTRATION GROW ON DAVID’S FACE! HE REALIZES THAT HE NEEDS TO THINK OF SOMETHING BETTER!
Flannery MCCOY: IT SEEMS LIKE HE’S GOING TO OCCUPY HER LEGS BY GOING FOR ‘THE LOW ROAD’ AGAIN! THIS TIME, HE MANAGES TO LOCK IN THE MOVE! RAVEN ROBERTS BEGINS TO CRY OUT IN PAIN! David Gideon Smith manages to pull her away from the ropes! He made sure that he did that this time around! Still, we see that Raven is trying to power through! She is trying to reach for those ropes! But, they seem so far away!
Jake Mercer: REX MCALLISTER GETS BACK INSIDE THE RING AND KICKS DAVID GIDEON SMITH IN THE STOMACH! That releases the hold that he had on Raven! Then, Shio Corin gets back in the ring and connects with a dropkick as that takes Rex back! Shio gets back in his corner as we see that David is trying to reach for a tag! Meanwhile, we see that Raven Roberts is looking for a tag to Rex McAllister! Both David and Raven are dragging their bodies to their respective corners!
Referee: (off-mic) TAG! TAG!
Stew-O: THIS CROWD IS ON THEIR FEET AS SHIO CORIN STEPS INTO THE RING! REX MCALLISTER HOPES OVER THE TOP ROPE! BOTH ELITISTS RUN TOWARDS EACH OTHER, BUT IT’S REX THAT CONNECTS WITH A JUMPING HIGH KNEE THAT TAKES SHIO DOWN! Rex grabs Shio and follows that up with a pendulum backbreaker! You can see the look of pain on Shio’s face! Rex gets Shio on his shoulders with a reverse fireman’s carry! He connects with an Argentine bucklebomb to the corner! Rex begins to back away as he charges with a yakuza kick to the face of Shio as that causes him to stumble forward! Rex connects with a hip toss that sends Shio in front of him! Rex runs the ropes, rebounding off of them and connects with a basement dropkick as that sends Shio down! Rex goes for the cover!
OOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Flannery McCoy: Shio Corin with a kick out! Rex McAllister seems like he’s more than willing to wrap up this match and secure the win for his team! He picks up Shio Corin as he looks for the ‘Rex Effect’ – the floatover tornado/jumping evenflow DDT combination that he had used to put down opponents time after time again!
Jake Mercer: BUT, DAVID GIDEON SMITH, FROM THE TOP ROPE, CONNECTS WITH A MISSILE DROPKICK TO THE FACE OF REX MCALLISTER! THAT SEEMS TO TAKE HIM DOWN! RAVEN ROBERTS QUICKLY COMES TO THE AID OF HER HUSBAND BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A BIG BOOT AS THAT SENDS DAVID TO HIS BACK! RAVEN CONNECTS WITH A SERIES OF PUNCHES AND ELBOWS TO THE FACE OF DAVID! SHE GETS DAVID AND THROWS HIM THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE! IT SEEMS LIKE ‘THE BIRD OF PREY’ IS GOING TO FLY! SHE GOES OVER THE TOP ROPE AND CONNECTS WITH A CROSSBODY THAT TAKES HIM DOWN!
Stew-O: SHIO CORIN TRIES TO CATCH RAVEN ROBERTS BY SURPRISE BY CONNECTING WITH A WRECKING BALL DROPKICK! BUT, RAVEN ROBERTS MANAGES TO CATCH HIM BY HIS LEGS AND CONNECT WITH A DECAPITATOR! Shio’s face totally felt that! She then reshifts her focus on David Gideon Smith! She picks him up as she connects with a knee to the gut of David! She connects with a series of cravate knee strikes to the gut! Then, she grabs him by the arm and whips him to the edge of the apron! Raven goes after him, but David manages to leg a foot up to stop Raven! BUT, RAVEN CONNECTS WITH A KNEE JAMMER! THEN, SHE GETS DAVID BY HIS HEAD BEFORE THROWING HIM TO THE STEEL STEPS!
Flannery McCoy: Meanwhile, Rex McAllister turns his attention to Shio Corin back inside the ring! Raven Roberts joins him back in the ring! It seems like Fire & Ice are in unison with what they want to do next! SHIO BEGINS TO RISE TO HIS FEET AS HE FINDS HIMSELF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! ‘KICKING IT TO HIGH GEAR!’ IN STEREO YAKUZA KICKS! REX TO THE FRONT OF SHIO! RAVEN TO THE BACK OF SHIO’S HEAD! THIS MANAGES TO TAKE HIM DOWN! RAVEN HEADS BACK TO HER CORNER AND REX IS TAGGING HER BACK INTO THE MATCH!
Referee: (off-mic) TAG!
Jake Mercer: RAVEN ROBERTS IS THE LEGAL ELITIST IN THE MATCH! IT SEEMS LIKE REX MCALISTER LIFTS UP SHIO CORIN FOR A FLAPJACK AS RAVEN CONNECTS WITH A CUTTER! ‘MELTDOWN’ CONNECTS! RAVEN GOES FOR THE COVER! IS THIS GOING TO BE IT HERE?!?!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
TTTTWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
TTTTHHHHHRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘I2I’ plays once more as Raven Roberts rolls off of Shio Corin. Rex McAllister joins her back inside the ring. He picks Raven up, swinging her around and embracing her. The two of them get on each side of the referee, who raises their hands, solidifying them as the winners of this match.)
Stephie Love: THE WINNERS OF THIS MATCH…FIRE & ICE!!!!!!!
Stew-O: The first tag team match of Season 19 and it belongs to Fire & Ice! A truly competitive tag team match to set the bar for the rest of the season!
Flannery McCoy: Things looked tough for Raven Roberts, who found herself being beaten on by Shio Corin and David Gideon Smith for a good chunk of the match! But, it was her fighting spirit and determination that made her come back and rise above all of that! Rex McAllister being no slouch either as he allowed for his wife to shine in the ending part of this match up! So noble of him!
(The camera pans to David Gideon Smith, who is clutching to his right shoulder, clearly frustrated at himself. Then, it pays to Shio Corin, who is regaining consciousness as he processes what just happened, not amused by the situation at all. Meanwhile, it pans back to Fire & Ice, who are celebrating inside the ring.)
Jake Mercer: David Gideon Smith looked impressive going against a former World Champion in Raven Roberts! But, there was no matching the unison and chemistry of Fire & Ice in the end. With Shio Corin, it seemed unclear of what he was going to do when up against the challenge, but he stepped up when he eliminated the mind games! No doubt that these are two men that we want to see more of in Season 19.
Stew-O: As of right now, congratulations to Fire & Ice on the victory!
(A commercial plays for Showdown’s Midsummer Massacre.)
(Friday Night Dynasty returns to show a shot of the Spokane Arena as the crowd murmers in anticipation for what is to come, and it’s not long before the sounds of ‘Clash of the Gods [EPIC VERSION]’ by Carameii begin to play through the speakers of the arena, with the crowd roaring. The camera goes over to the stage as it shows the Interwire Champion, as BRAE begins to make his way out from the backstage area in an exuberant mood. He hypes up the crowd as he wears the title around his waist, taking a moment to embrace the atmosphere and feed off the energy of this crowd, before then beginning to make his way down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… the EAW INTERWIRE CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!! ‘THE IMPERIAL SYMPHONY’… BRAE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: For the first time this season, the NEW Interwire Champion has touched down on Friday Night Dynasty! BRAE has made his presence felt, and this is coming off a major win against Chris Elite at Pain For Pride to win the title. It’s been a long ride to get to this point, and he certainly feels as though he’s been rewarded as he wins his second Championship in his career at his second consecutive Pain For Pride.
Flannery McCoy: BRAE has had a rise unlike anyone else, and he’s certainly looking to keep that momentum going heading into the new season. If I could predict what his mind is focused on at the moment, it’s his first Championship defense, which more than likely could come at Reckless Wiring, the very first Dynasty exclusive Marquee Event, but I guess that we’re just going to have to see.
Jake Mercer: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! BRAE is here! Love that guy. Well-deserved Interwire Championship reign, we all know that he has a lot to prove, so let’s see how much of his talk tonight is going to be backed up going forward.
(BRAE makes his way up the steps and onto the apron as he enters through the ropes and into the ring. He makes his way over and takes a microphone from the ringside area while ‘Clash of the Gods [EPIC VERSION]’ begins to come to a close. Then, making his way toward the center of the ring, he takes a moment before beginning to speak.)
BRAE: Finally, I stand before you today as a man who is satisfied with his body of work. Even though it is fleeting, even for a moment, holding this Interwire Championship allows me to say with the utmost certainty that all the blood, sweat, and tears that I have put into making last season what it was have paid off. It was not easy, it was never easy. Previously, I wore the New Breed Championship, and I saw the level of competition that stood in my way and, better yet, I beat them. After I lost it to Effy McAvoy at King of Elite, I knew for certain that it was only going to be the beginning for me. That I was going to have to work twice as hard, not just as a challenger, but as a future Champion, and to make sure that I not only held this title with pride, but that I elevated it to the very top, exactly where it belonged.
(The crowd cheers loudly as BRAE unhooks his title, bringing it into his hands as he has a prideful expression on his face, taking a moment before continuing.)
BRAE: Chris Elite was an excellent Interwire Champion; he defied odds and showed the world just how valuable he was in this current climate. It is something that I can commend him on, no matter how snide and cruel he was during the build-up to our title match. He is someone who I believe will make a great impact in the future now that he’s a member of the Voltage brand, and what he has done for my career is something that I don’t take for granted. But at Pain For Pride, I had to show that I was better than him, I had to show that I could surpass the very best, and I believe, right now, that I have done just that. I have fought tooth and nail in order to get here, and that is something that I am going to continue to do, and that brings me to the challengers. That brings me to whoever decides it is in their best interest to come out and meet me face-to-face inside of this ring, because we all know how this is going to go.
(BRAE turns toward the stage, looking at it for a brief moment before focusing back in on the crowd.)
BRAE: Someone comes out, and they make their presence felt. They plan on ending my title reign before it even begins, and that is the gist of the story. I will say one thing, and it is the fact that my thirst will never be quenched. Right now, I am not the best, so I am going to make sure that changes. I don’t need to be caught by surprise by whoever makes their way out here, no, I am going to welcome them. Whoever thinks that they are worthy of being the first challenger for my Interwire Championship, then I am not going to stop you.
(BRAE turns his complete attention toward the stage as he lowers his microphone down, and it’s not long before he gets exactly what he wants… as ‘Ballad of a Prodigal Son’ by Lincoln Durham begins to play through the speakers of the arena. The camera goes over to the stage, as Kirk Redwood is seen making his way out, eliciting a loud reaction from the crowd while he does. He has his eyes completely focused on the ring, as he takes a moment before then beginning to make his way down the ramp and toward the Interwire Champion.)
Stew-O: Well, BRAE got exactly what he wanted in the form of the Unkillable Kirk Redwood. We know that Kirk has been someone who has worked extremely hard to earn his share around here, and now that he’s made his return to the Friday Night Dynasty brand, it seems the goal stays very much the same.
Flannery McCoy: He’s begun to hit his stride this year, but he knows that the job is not over. He knows that there’s so much that he can do, and winning the Interwire Championship might very well be one of them. He’s coming out to confront BRAE and perhaps mark his territory. Let’s see what comes out of this.
Jake Mercer: Why is he bald??? This man had a beautiful set of hair, and now he’s BALD! He looks even more homeless than he used to be. This is outrageous.
(Kirk makes his way up the steps and onto the apron as he enters through the ropes and into the ring. He makes his way over and takes a microphone from the ringside area as ‘Ballad of a Prodigal Son’ then begins to come to a close. He turns around and approaches BRAE, a serious expression on his face as he begins to speak.)
Kirk Redwood: Being back on the Friday Night Dynasty brand should give me glee, it should make me happy to return to my stomping grounds and pick up where I left off, but the only thing that comes to mind is the opportunities that eluded me over the past year. The chances that I’ve had to become something more, only for it to amount to nothing in the process. People have credited what I have done this season to be the turning point, but I don’t see it as that. I’m looking for something more to sink my teeth into, and the only thing I can see myself doing at the moment is playing spoiler to your title reign.
(The crowd reacts loudly as both men have serious expressions on their faces. Kirk then continues to speak.)
Kirk Redwood: I have respect for you, BRAE. It’s something that I find hard to do, but our battles in the past have shown that you are more than just any other Elitist. I don’t want to take this away from you, because I know how hard you fought, but at the same time, it appears that I don’t have much of a choice in the matter. This is what I need to do in order to survive, and if you know me, you know that I’m willing to fight like a dog in order to make that happen. I challenge you, I want to be the first in line, and if things go my way, I’m going to make sure that I’m the last in line as well, because it’s going to be over before you know it.
(Kirk eyes down at the Interwire Championship, as BRAE adjusts it over his shoulder, he takes a moment to think of himself before then beginning to respond.)
BRAE: I know the type of worker that you are, Kirk, contrary to belief, you are not someone to be underestimated. I give you a lot of credit, but at the same time, I don’t think that you’re ready to take this title away from me, and this might just be the unfortunate reality that you’re going to have to accept. Despite all of that, everyone knows that I am not one to back down from a challenge. If you want to be the first, then so be it, but you’re not going to be the last, no, you’re just going to be the beginning.
(BRAE raises his title in the air as the crowd cheers loudly for the challenge being accepted. Kirk has a smirk on his face as he raises his microphone.)
Kirk Redwood: Be careful what you wish for, pretty boy. Lord knows where that gets people around here. You’re confident, you’re leveled, but that doesn’t mean that you’re not in over your head, because you’re playing with fire trying to say that I’m not ready. But no worries, in due time… I’ll make sure that you regret ever saying that to me, that’s my promise.
(Kirk drops his microphone down to the ground as ‘Ballad of a Prodigal Son’ begins to play through the speakers of the arena once more. BRAE nods his head in agreement as his future challenger turns around and begins to make his way out of the ring. The Champion chuckles, the smallest grin on his face as he throws his title over his shoulder, which is the very last shot seen before Friday Night Dynasty begins to fade to elsewhere.)
(The camera fades backstage. Another shot shows off a door, along with the name ‘Drake King’ on it. The fans boo. However, the shot switches to Michael Belfort, who is on standby.)
Michael Belfort: UNW Universe, thank you for tuning in, and we hope you have been enjoying this explosive first Dynasty of the new season! I am Michael Belfort, and right now, I am looking to get a brief word from Drake King. It’s been a tumultuous few months, to say the least, starting with Drake claiming his second Grand Rampage win of his career and escalating through his issues with Joso, who forced what would’ve been a singles match against King and Cy Henderson for the EAW World Heavyweight Championship into a triple threat. In the end, Cy retained, and it seemed like Drake was… well, in disbelief over everything.
(Michael gives a nervous chuckle.)
Michael Belfort: Now, ahead of his main event match against Limmy Monaghan, we’re looking to see if Drake can give us his direct thoughts and what he hopes to accomplish now that he has been given a new slate.
(A few knocks are given.)
(…)
(No one responds.)
Michael Belfort: :lupe: I don’t think I knock that softly, do I?
(So, he does it again—firmer. Same result.)
Michael Belfort: I suppose he isn’t here? But… that’s strange. The stagehand said they saw him walk into the locker room.
(Knock knock kn—)
Michael Belfort: :roman: !!!
(The door is open. Michael’s fist stops just an inch away from Drake King’s face. He almost squeals, and puts the hand down.)
Michael Belfort: H-hello, Drake! Can you spare us just a brief moment of your time? It won’t take long, I promise.
Drake King: ………………………………………
(…)
Drake King: Fine. What is it?
Michael Befort: Thank you. First off—Pain for Pride. Obviously, it didn’t go your way, but some are curious, because during the final stretches of it, it seemed like you decided that taking out Joso was a bigger priority than winning.
(Drake blinks. His eyes widen.)
Drake King: Excuse me?
(Michael gulps.)
Michael Belfort: W-well, it felt like things became more about mutual destruction, and given your issues with Joso, it led many to assume—
(Drake brings his hand up, shutting Michael up.)
Drake King: Why on Earth would anyone think I’d willingly sabotage my own chances of winning a world championship just to keep some overrated, delusional fool in check…?
(Drake sighs. His brows furrow.)
Drake King: … I was looking to hurt Joso, yes, but that was to secure the win. I didn’t know Cy would sneak the chair onto the table and get out of harm’s way. It was unfortunate, a miscalculation on my part, if you will, but if any of you think for one second I’d try and ruin my chances of winning a match just to get back at someone I despise, then you guys haven’t been paying attention to the past six years I have been an EAW Elitist. I’m not an idiot. Had things gone accordingly, I would be standing here as the World Heavyweight Champion and be glad I had Joso get shipped off elsewhere for the first time in his career.
(However, there’s no genuineness to his voice. It’s almost bitter, knowing that now, he wasn’t going to be able to get those issues resolved.)
Drake King: … Joso got lucky. Cy got lucky. That’s all there is to it. However, speaking of Cy—things are far from done between us. We haven’t had the chance to have that singles match in no small part thanks to that nuisance. At least him being traded away means I won’t have to worry about him forcing his way into any match of mine ever again. I can focus on the title again, and this time? No one, and I mean no one, is going to get in the way of that.
(Drake smirks. But it’s a rather cruel, almost uncanny one.)
Drake King: And that means that none of these stupid Elitists who think they can treat this as some grand homecoming for themselves are going to get ahead of me, like Limmy Monaghan. He failed at being a Jamie O’Hara clone on Voltage and now wants to act as if he has a newfound edge to him, as if he’s going to make Dynasty his domain again, but the only reason he got to be someone of note on this brand is because I wasn’t around. He had his cute words to say to me, but I don’t care. I am the one constant here in EAW that will never change. I am the best in the world. I am the rightful leader of this promotion, and the fact I even got to have a fifth Pain for Pride main event, even with all of these new stars blossoming, should be indicative of the level I’m operating on still.
(Drake laughs, sharp and breathless. Michael muffles, but Drake’s hand tightens against his face.)
Drake King: And guess. What?
(He grabs Michael by the collar now, snapping him closer.)
Drake King: There’s still one more level I have yet to reach…
(By now, Michael looks like he was going to shit in his pants. However, the hardened grip Drake has on him goes away. Drake gives him a light shut, then—)
(SLAM!!)
(The locker room door closes.)
(Michael stands, unsure of how to process everything. He just gives a slow, stunned and scared turn toward the camera, and from there, we fade back to ringside.)
Stew-O: Wow. That was… intense. I think Drake King is on the cusp of snapping!
Jake Mercer: Ya think? He damn near already is!
Flannery McCoy: I definitely don’t like the feeling of this. He’s already a dangerous competitor, but with his composure being chipped away, that might spell doom for some of the talent here. I guess we’ll just have to keep a close eye on things and how Drake King will fare depending on how things go tonight in our main event!
Jake Mercer: My Limothy is home! :blessed:
(When the focus returns back to ringside, the middle half of ‘Cult Leader’ by KiNG MALA is playing. The Specialists Champion Mia Santoro is already at ringside and she’s standing on the barricade, raising up her championship. The fans are booing Mia, but she continues to act like it’s the opposite.)
Mia Santoro: (off-mic) Oh, I know you all love me! It’s okay! Another time, I’ll embrace you all, I promise!
(Mia grins as she drops off the barricade and takes a seat near the commentary table, setting her sights on the ring. The camera cuts to Stephie Love standing in the center with a mic as well.)
Stephie Love: The following is scheduled for one fall and it is a fatal four way to determine the number one contender to the Specialists Championship!
(‘Vroom’ by Hoodie Allen & Connor Price hits the speakers and Nikki Kimura storms out from the back, ready to go to work. She tags many fans on her way down to the ring, sliding in and posing against the middle rope, calling for their energy!)
Stephie Love: Introducing first, weighing in at 120 pounds, from West Portland, Oregon, she is “THE ANCHOR” NIKKKI! KIMMURRAAA!!!
(‘Genie In A Bottle’ by Christina Aguilera is next to play and the cheers quickly turn into boos as Grace De Luca emerges from the back with a confused expression on her face. She mimics Nikki, trying to tag the fans—but everyone pulls their hand away from her! She gasps at their disrespect, but nonetheless enters the ring and focuses on bringing the attention back to her.)
Stephie Love: Her opponent, weighing in at 121 pounds, from Los Angeles, California, “THE PARADIGM OF PERFECTION”… GRAAACCEEE! DEEEE! LUUUCCCAAAAAA!!!
(While Grace is posing, she suddenly shrieks in shock as ‘Psycho’ by That’s Outrageous! hits the speakers and Effy McAvoy hops over the barricade, sliding in the ring and immediately charging her. Grace rolls out of the ring, raising her hands in the air, trying to negotiate. Ahren Fournier walks down the ramp with a big smirk on his face. He enters the ring and relaxes Effy, who now takes the ring for herself.)
Stephie Love: Next, accompanied by Ahren Fournier, weighing in at 125 pounds, Watch Hill, Rhode Island, she is “THE OMEN”, EFFFYYY! MCCAVVOOOYYYYY!!!
(And as everyone gets back in the ring and order is restored, “The End” by Lil Uzi Vert (feat. BABYMETAL) hits the speakers and KASAI makes her way from the back. She slowly creeps down the ramp, observing all of her opponents. KASAI nods her head, aware of the stakes. She hops onto the apron, slowly emerging up the middle rope and then the top rope, extending her arms out. KASAI drops down, backing into the corner.)
Stephie Love: Lastly, weighing in at 145 pounds, Amani, Kagoshima, Japan, she is “THE IMMORTAL SLAYER”, KAAAASSSSAAAAIIIIIIII!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stew-O: High stakes here, the winner gets the next shot at the Specialists Championship, and so all four women seem cautious so far, not succumbing to the chaos and making a mistake-
Jake Mercer: EFFY MCAVOY DOESN’T CARE ABOUT THAT AT ALL! She immediately pounces on Grace De Luca, bringing her down with a lou thesz press! Effy starts raining down punches to the head of Grace, and Grace shrieks!
Grace De Luca: (off-mic) AAAAHHHHH! GET HER OFF OF ME!!!
Flannery McCoy: No one’s coming to help her, because Nikki Kimura and KASAI are now trading blows! Back and forth forearms from both women! KASAI with a thrust kick to the ribs of Nikki, and then a roundhouse kick! Nikki ducks under and shoves KASAI to the ropes! She follows up with a dropkick! KASAI bounces into the ropes, and flies back with one of her own! And it blasts Kimura across the ring! KASAI kips up, fired up, now!
Stew-O: Effy gets off of Grace and she turns to KASAI. Both women have a staredown, they had strong seasons on Voltage last year, and now they’re in each other’s crosshair—nope! Grace with a forearm and Effy goes flying right into KASAI! Both women crash into each other and Grace drags Effy up! She turns her around and lifts her up! Suplex, right on the back of KASAI! She’s not gonna be able to get up now! Grace rises to her feet, dusting her hands off with a big grin on her face.
Jake Mercer: I don’t know if I’d be celebrating this early, though… Nikki rises up against the turnbuckles. Grace charges in, but Kimura raises her boots! De Luca staggers, and Nikki pushes up to the middle rope. Grace wobbles, looking up to her—flying blockbuster from Kimura! Grace holds the back of her head in pain! Nikki rolls through and rises, and she sees KASAI still holding at her back! She quickly snags her up and takes her by the head. She lifts her up! Another suplex—
Stew-O: KASAI lands behind her! BACKSTABBER! And Nikki gets planted, but KASAI’s back is feeling the pain as well! She shakes her head, slowly rising to her feet… Effy emerges behind KASAI and grabs the waist! GERMAN SUP—NO! KASAI spins around and grabs Effy by the waist! One of her own! No! Effy holds her ground and spins out! She charges forward for an O’Connor Roll, but KASAI holds onto the ropes and Effy flies backwards!
Flannery McCoy: McAvoy rises and charges at KASAI, who pulls the ropes down! Effy falls to the floor! KASAI hits off the ropes, wasting no time! WRECKING BALL DROPKICK! McAvoy goes down! KASAI slides back into the ring and here comes Grace De Luca, immediately bringing her down with a bulldog! Grace rises to her feet and now Nikki Kimura is running forward! She tilt-a-whirl spins around Grace’s body, spiking her with a DDT in the center of the ring! Nikki kips up and she rises to her feet, pointing at Mia Santoro. Is Nikki about to get her shot to win that championship back?!
Jake Mercer: She’s gotta take advantage, first. Nikki pulls Grace up by the head and snags ahold of the leg. Grace desperately tries to fight it off, but Nikki nails her with a FISHERMAN’S SUPLEX! Nikki plants her feet, bridging up for the cover! But before the referee can even get down and make the count, KASAI is already back up to her feet and she leaps into a double foot stomp to the abdomen of both women! That’s how you take out both and break a pin! Nikki holds her ribs, wheezing. KASAI drags her up and brings her to the ropes, snaps into an irish whip!
Stew-O: Nikki builds some steam though! She tries that tilt-a-whirl again, but this time, KASAI sees it coming unlike Grace, and she brings Nikki down onto her knee with a brutal gutbuster instead! That had to have hurt! KASAI follows up with a chest kick, and then she spins into a legsweep that brings Nikki crashing down to her back! Effy McAvoy slides back into the ring and she goes after KASAI, furious at the dropkick from earlier! But KASAI catches her by the waist! NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX! RIGHT ON THE RIBS OF KIMURA! AND KASAI HAS TAKEN COMPLETE CONTROL OF THIS MATCH—
Jake Mercer: GRACE DE LUCA FROM BEHIND! SHE BRINGS NIKKI DOWN WITH A SCHOOLBOY ROLLUP!
OOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO—
Flannery McCoy: KASAI quickly kicks out! Both women rise and KASAI flies into a boot, but Grace barely evades it! Grace stumbles back, in shock! She raises her hands up, pleading with KASAI to take it easy on her, but why would she wanna do that?!
Grace De Luca: (off-mic) WAIT! I DIDN’T MEAN IT LIKE THAT! I’M SORR–
Jake Mercer: NOPE! KASAI GRABS THE HAND OF GRACE! Grace screams out, and KASAI grabs her fingers! I think she’s about to snap them—NO! Grace with the free hand eye pokes KASAI! She staggers back, trying to clear her vision! But it’s too late as Grace flies into a neckbreaker! Down goes KASAI and once again, Grace De Luca to the cover! Desperate to win this match!
OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW–
Stew-O: Effy pulls Grace off of KASAI! Grace looks up in horror as Effy flies into an elbow to the side of the head! Effy mounts Grace and she grabs her by the hair, slamming her head into the canvas over and over like a basketball! It’s just bouncing up and down, returning to the hands of McAvoy! Grace has completely nowhere to go and I don’t know what to say for her! This is pretty dire right now! Effy yanks her up from the canvas and scoops her up!
Flannery McCoy: She tosses Grace into the turnbuckles! Is Effy always this strong?! I guess we won’t get that answer, because Grace pops her with a boot to the jaw! Effy staggers, and Grace climbs the middle rope. But I’m not sure. Is she trying to get to the top rope, or is she trying to leave the ring??? Either way, Effy grabs a hold of Grace and she traps her into an electric chair! Grace screams out, trying to get free! She’s throwing punches to the head of Effy, but Effy won’t release her! Effy just stumbles away from the turnbuckles…
Jake Mercer: But on the other side, KASAI is looking for revenge! And she rolls to the apron, running to the top rope! Grace’s eyes widen when she now begins to realize what’s taking place now! KASAI FLIES OFF THE TOP ROPE! DIVING CLOTHESLINE TO GRACE! SHE GETS FLIPPED OFF OF EFFY’S SHOULDERS, CRASHING RIGHT ONTO HER FACE! There goes De Luca! And while KASAI is recovering following that leap off the top rope…
Stew-O: EFFY’S ALREADY GOTTEN A HOLD OF KASAI! SHE RIPCORDS HER OUT! ‘THE CLIMAX!’ THE KNEE STRIKE PUTS KASAI DOWN! SHE’S OUT OF IT! AND MCAVOY HOOKS THE LEGS! DO WE HAVE OUR NUMBER ONE CONTENDER HERE?!
OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH—
Flannery McCoy: KIMURA DIVES IN TO BREAK IT! That was a close one, but it’s not over just yet! Effy rolls away, likely agitated that Nikki took the win from her! She slowly rises to her feet, but here comes Nikki who runs forward and LEAPS INTO A CROSSBODY THAT TAKES BOTH WOMEN OVER THE TOP ROPE AND RIGHT TO THE FLOOR! They fall down on the ground and scramble up to their feet! Now they’re brawling outside the ring!
Jake Mercer: Nikki and McAvoy trade shots back and forth! McAvoy tries a boot, but Nikki ducks and drives her leg into the ring post! Effy stumbles, holding at her knee! But while she’s doing that, Nikki hooks the arms up! DRAGON SUPLEX! ON THE FLOOR! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I don’t think the ringside padding was nearly enough to protect her from that! She made contact with a bit of the concrete either way, and Nikki must be feeling good now! She uses the apron skirt to rise to her feet, and then climbs the apron! Nikki makes her way up to the top rope, turning herself!
Stew-O: But while Nikki is getting adjusted at the top rope, Effy is still trying to rise! I have zero idea how, but she’s rubbing the back of her head and using the ring post to help herself get up! However, Nikki isn’t focused on Effy, because she sees KASAI laid out still! AND NIKKI SETS HERSELF UP FOR HER SIGNATURE MOONSAULT! DIVING RIGHT OFF THE TOP—WAIT!!!
Jake Mercer: SOMEHOW GRACE DE LUCA IS BACK IN THIS! Grace holds her head as well! But she fights through the pain, planting her hands on Nikki and shoving her right off the top rope, LEADING HER TO GO FLYING ON TOP OF EFFY ON THE FLOOR! DIVING CROSSBODY! MCAVOY GOES DOWN YET AGAIN! BUT THIS TIME, NIKKI IS OUT OF IT WITH HER! GRACE DE LUCA! WHO COULD’VE EXPECTED THIS FROM HER?!
Flannery McCoy: Grace picks KASAI up from the canvas! With Nikki out of the equation as well as Effy, all she’s gotta do is pick the pieces! Grace grabs her by the head and lifts her up for ‘PERFEC—’ NO! THERE’S NO PIECES TO PICK UP BECAUSE SHE GAVE KASAI TIME TO RECOVER! SHE FLOATS OVER GRACE AND KICKS THE KNEE OUT! KASAI wastes no time, hitting off the ropes at the quickest speed she can possibly go!
Stew-O: HERE IT COMES! ‘SILVER BULLET!’ THE ELEVATED KNEE LANDS FLUSH ACROSS THE JAW OF DE LUCA! She gets put right on her back and Grace is not moving whatsoever! KASAI drops down, hooking the legs of Grace tightly! This may very well be it! Mia Santoro can sense it!
OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR—
Jake Mercer: GRACE KICKS OUT! SURPRISINGLY, IT’S GRACE WHO MUSTERS UP ENOUGH RESILIENCE TO KICK OUT! KASAI was so sure that’d be the end of the match and it’s far from the case! She slaps the mat, upset that this one is still going.
Flannery McCoy: However, Grace isn’t moving! The smart move for KASAI here is to simply follow up with an even stronger move! Especially with Nikki and Effy out of the equation right now, she’s gotta strike now! She reaches down to Grace, dragging her up by the hair. Grace falls to a knee against KASAI, barely even conscious after that knee. KASAI slowly brings Grace up to her feet, forcing her to face her!
Stew-O: And then she releases Grace! ‘URAI’S CURSE!’ KASAI SPINS INTO THAT BACK ROUNDHOU—GRACE DUCKS UNDERNEATH JUST IN TIME! KASAI staggers, losing her balance! She turns back to Grace who’s still waiting for her! ‘GRACE-FUL CLOTHESLINE!’ THAT DISCUS CLOTHESLINE CRACKS HER! De Luca has planted KASAI in the canvas, but wait a minute!
Jake Mercer: NIKKI KIMURA SLIDES IN, THROWING GRACE OUT OF THE RING! She runs back to KASAI, hooking the legs for the cover!
OOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR—
Stew-O: KASAI KICKS OUT THIS TIME! Nikki shakes her head, slowly rising to her feet. She’s ready to follow up and put KASAI down as well! But I’m not sure if it’ll work out for her! It certainly didn’t work for KASAI! Nikki reaches over, grabbing at KASAI—but EFFY MCAVOY FROM OUT OF NOWHERE! She grabs Nikki from out of nowhere and scoops her up into a belly to back suplex! The back of Nikki’s head bounces off the canvas!
Jake Mercer: Effy may have gotten her down, but she’s not done there at all! McAvoy slowly rises to her feet, looking around at the fans. She then … adjusts her hands as if she has hooves and she’s a goat standing on its legs! Are you kidding me??? Nikki slowly rises up to her feet, holding the back of her head in pain. AND THEN EFFY BOUNCES OFF THE ROPES RIGHT AFTER! ‘GOAT TROT!’ NO! Nikki spins out of the neckbreaker just in time! She shoves Effy to the ropes!
Stew-O: And after doing that, Nikki turns around—SHE DOESN’T GET TO IN TIME! KASAI is back up and she scoops Nikki up into an argentine rack! She spins around with Nikki on her shoulders, meaning that Nikki’s feet go spinning right into Effy’s face like a helicopter, and KASAI slams Nikki down with the ‘MEGATSUNAMI!’ THE ARGENTINE RACK BECOMES A SIT-OUT POWERBOMB! And KASAI quickly makes it back up to get to the cover!
Flannery McCoy: But before she can do so, Effy comes right back off the ropes with the ‘GOAT TROT!’ THAT SWINGING NECKBREAKER CONNECTS THIS TIME! Effy rolls over, and she’s got two options to pin! Will she go for KASAI or will she go for Kimura?! Effy has more faith in her move, so she scrambles over to pin KASAI instead, but I don’t know … that powerbomb looked pretty gnarly!
OOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE—
Jake Mercer: GRACE SLIDES IN, LEAPING INTO THE PIN! AND IT’S BROKEN! That was a very close call, but this one is still going! Effy thought she had the match won, but Grace De Luca will do whatever it takes to call herself number one contender to the Specialists Championship! All of these women are vying for the spot to fight Mia Santoro, meaning there is so much desperation and intensity from every single move that they exhaust themselves at this point!
Stew-O: Grace slowly scrambles up to her feet, and Effy is up as well. She glares angrily at Grace, she has been targeting her the entire match and it turned out to backfire on her! Effy runs forward at Grace! SHE SPEARS HER INTO THE TURNBUCKLES—
(CLANG!)
Flannery McCoy: NO! GRACE MOVES OUT OF THE WAY, AND SHE DRIVES EFFY SHOULDER-FIRST INTO THE RING POST! Effy collapses to her knees, holding at her shoulder in agony! Effy cries out! And that was the opening De Luca needed! She now takes the arms of Effy and pulls them back towards her, which only intensifies the pain soaring through Effy’s arms right now! And Grace winds her back! ‘BOTCHED INJECTION!’ THE ARM-STRAPPED STOMP RIGHT INTO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE! Effy is out of it!
Jake Mercer: And Grace knows that! As a result, she scoops Effy right out of the turnbuckles and she hooks the arms fully! Grace spins around to the center of the ring, allowing for everyone to see this! ‘I’M-PRETTIEST!’ SHE SENDS HER DOWN INTO THE MAT FACE FIR–
Stew-O: EFFY BARELY SHOVES GRACE OFF OF HER! AND NIKKI KIMURA WITH A MASSIVE SUPERKICK RIGHT AFTER! GRACE GOES DOWN! AND EFFY FALLS OVER, STILL HURTING FROM THE BOTCHED INJECTION! THAT MEANS NIKKI HAS THE ADVANTAGE ALL TO HERSELF! Nikki slaps the mat, building herself back up! Grace isn’t moving at all after that superkick! Nikki slowly rises to her feet, nodding profusely!
Flannery McCoy: Nikki takes the wrists of Grace! She sits her up, winding her leg back! HERE IT COMES! THE ‘KAMIGOYE!’ KNEE STRIKE RIGHT TO THE JAW! DE LUCA ISN’T MOVING WHATSOEVER! NIKKI SPINS AROUND, HOOKING THE LEGS OF DE LUCA!
OOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
…
…
…
Jake Mercer: ‘KITSUNE’S BLESSING V2!!!’ KASAI FROM OUT OF NOWHERE WITH THE MOONSAULT STOMP! IN THE MIDST OF THE CHAOS, NO ONE SAW HER CLIMBING THE TOP ROPE! AND SHE JUST BROKE THE PIN IN THE DEADLIEST WAY! HER FEET WENT DIGGING RIGHT INTO THE SPINE OF NIKKI KIMURA! AND SHE FALLS LIMP, ROLLING OFF OF DE LUCA!
Stew-O: KASAI rolls Nikki over, crawling to the cover—WAIT! EFFY WAS JUST PLAYING POSSUM?! SHE SCOOPS KASAI UP AND THROWS HER OUT OF THE RING! Effy quickly hits off the ropes! WRECKING BALL DROPKICK TO KASAI! THAT’S REVENGE FOR EARLIER! And Effy slides back into the ring! Nikki is still hurting, but part of her is trying to get up—
Flannery McCoy: NO USE! Effy bounces off the ropes for more momentum again! ‘STORYBOOK ENDING!’ THE CURB STOMP DRIVES KIMURA HEAD FIRST INTO THE CANVAS! Effy drags her away from the ropes for added measure and she hooks the legs!
Jake Mercer: I THINK MIA SANTORO HAS HER OPPONENT!
OOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
…
…
…
(DING DING DING!)
Stew-O: YOU WOULD BE CORRECT!
Stephie Love: Here is your winner of this match, and your number one contender to the Specialists Championship… EFFFY MCCAVVOOOYYYYY!!
(Effy rolls off of Nikki, ecstatic to have picked up the win. Ahren Fournier slides in, helping Effy to her feet. He takes her arm and raises it up. Mia Santoro nods her head, aware of who her first challenger will be. She slowly approaches the steel steps, standing on the apron.)
Flannery McCoy: From New Breed Champion to number one contender to the Specialists Championship! The future is already extremely bright for Effy McAvoy! She may have counted herself out after losing at Pain For Pride…
Stew-O: But clearly those feelings are going to change now! Mia Santoro is going to have to be at her A-game if she wants to hold on to the championship she fought like hell to win!
Jake Mercer: Mia enters the ring and she raises that championship high in Effy’s face! Man, that is going to be a MATCH, no doubt about it!
(The last shot before Dynasty cuts away is Mia Santoro and Effy McAvoy staring down, both looking up at the Specialists Championship.)
(A commercial plays for Pizza Hut.)
Stephie Love: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘It Ain’t Safe’ by Skepta began blaring through the speakers to a huge, mixed reaction as Charlie Marr emerged from behind the stage curtains; Charlie sauntered out to the center of the stage with his arms outspread and a cocky smirk on his face before he began making his way down the ramp, marching towards the squared circle.)
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING FIRST! Hailing from Tower Hamlets, London, United Kingdom, weighing in at 240 pounds… he is COLOSSUS, CHARLIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARR!
Stew-O: Here comes the man that seems to have completely taken Ronan Malosi out of EAW! Charlie Marr reemerged after having been brutally attacked by Ronan Malosi during the King of Elite tournament which led to him being left off of EAW television for most of the remaining season, but Charlie made a dramatic return near the end as he joined his wife in the attack on Silas World!
Flannery McCoy: Ultimately, that attack ended up being a success as Silas World ended up facing many losses at the grandest event of the year, including Charlie Marr’s victory over Ronan Malosi! With a successful Pain for Pride, Charlie Marr looks to move on to greener pastures and show the world that Colossus is still on top!
Jake Mercer: With his drafting to Dynasty, he has the opportunity to fight on a new stage after having fought for Voltage and Showdown in more recent times; he’ll have a tough fight tonight, though, because he’s going to be going up against none other than the EAW Interwire Champion himself!
(ULTRA INSTINCT THEME by Carameii began blaring through the speakers to tremendous cheers as the Interwire Champion, BRAE, stormed out from behind the stage curtains and to the center of the stage. With all eyes on him, BRAE unhooked the Interwire Championship from around his waist and raised it up proudly with one arm. He then began his march down the ramp, adorning his shoulder with the gold.)
Stephie Love: AND HIS OPPONENT! Hailing from Novosibirsk, Russia, weighing in at 215 pounds… he is the EAW INTERWIRE CHAMPION, SON! BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Stew-O: For as good of a Pain for Pride that Charlie had, it’s hard to argue that BRAE didn’t have one of the best Pain for Prides out of any of the competitors on the roster! Scoring his second consecutive Pain for Pride victory and his second consecutive championship win at the event, BRAE was able to put down a legendary former world champion and then-Interwire Champion in the form of Chris Elite, who has been experiencing a career resurgence and is currently vying for the EAW World Championship over on Voltage!
Flannery McCoy: It’s been an incredibly successful career for BRAE so far, and I can’t wait to see how far he’s going to go now that he’s achieved the Interwire Championship on top of everything else that he has managed to do! After taking defeats following the loss of his New Breed title, he was able to recover remarkably fast and now once again stands tall as a champion in EAW!
Jake Mercer: And he gets to test out his strength against a bonafide legend here in Charlie Marr! Only one of these two can start off the season with a victory, who is it going to be? It’s time to find out!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Stew-O: And the match is underway! The Interwire Champion, BRAE, facing off against the former world champion, Charlie Marr! Both of these wrestlers use a brutal style of offense and I think that’s exactly what we’re going to be seeing here tonight as they get this show underway! Both elitists make their way out of their respective corners as they begin circling the ring, looking to find an opening!
Flannery McCoy: The ever-intense BRAE is the first to lunge forward, though, catching Charlie Marr a bit off guard with the abruptness of the change of pace as BRAE immediately forces him into a collar and elbow tie up! That lock up only lasts for a second before BRAE launches forward a knee smash that connects with the midsection of Charlie Marr, immediately causing him to double over in pain!
Jake Mercer: BRAE doesn’t give him a second to think, though, because he immediately latches on with a front waist lock before hurling Charlie Marr overhead with a belly to belly suplex, causing the Colossus to land back-first on the canvas! Charlie arches his back in pain, but he’s been through a hell of a lot worse and that’s shown as he scrambles back to his feet just as quickly with a glare on his face as he eyes the Interwire Champion!
Stew-O: And a beckoning hand gesture by Charlie Marr baits BRAE to unleash some more offense; the Interwire Champion is more than happy to oblige as he charges forward and looks to apply some more damage to the former world champion as he goes for a discus clothesline, spinning to gain some velocity before firing off that arm of his towards the head of Charlie!
Flannery McCoy: Charlie Marr is able to duck underneath the attack, though, and launches a massive shoot kick to the leg of the Interwire Champion the moment he missed the discus clothesline! That well-placed kick was enough to topple BRAE to a kneeling position near the corner, and Charlie Marr immediately takes advantage of that positioning!
Jake Mercer: The Colossus grabs BRAE by the head as he’s kneeling and forces him to fall back-first against the bottom turnbuckle! Charlie Marr grabs a hold of the top rope with both hands as he begins to stomp a mudhole into the Interwire Champion here! The referee is scolding him for holding on to the ropes, but Charlie has never really cared too much about following the rules; he does let go before the referee gets to the count of five, but by this point the damage has already been done with the body of BRAE having been ruthlessly stomped in!
Stew-O: Charlie looks to continue the onslaught as he pushes BRAE out of the ring from underneath the bottom rope before rolling out of the ring himself to join the Interwire Champion at ringside! We’ve got a much closer look at the two of them as they’re right here in front of our commentator’s table, and WOW! Charlie Marr just grabbed the head of BRAE and bounced it right off the table in front of me!
Flannery McCoy: He then looks to follow up on the damage as he executes an Irish whip to send BRAE running towards the steel ring post at the corner of the ring, but BRAE is able to reverse the whip and send CHARLIE running! BAM! Charlie’s head bounces off the ring post as well, and he’s leaning up against it in pain as he rubs his head, trying to recuperate from the damage!
Jake Mercer: But BRAE has had enough of all the damage that Charlie has been sending his way, too, and immediately capitalizes on the moment of vulnerability that Charlie is experiencing as he sprints over to Charlie and once again goes for that discus clothesline! This time, he’s able to connect as he hits the clothesline to the back of Charlie’s head, causing his head to bounce off the steel post even HARDER that time! The tremendous impact causes Charlie Marr to collapse to a kneeling position, and BRAE looks down at him with violent thoughts stirring in his mind!
Stew-O: The Interwire Champion takes a few steps back as he takes aim at Charlie Marr, before rushing forward and connecting with the side of Charlie’s kneeling head with an angled bicycle knee smash! That causes Charlie to fall to his hands and knees before collapsing with his face down against the thinly padded ringside floor! BRAE doesn’t seem gassed in the slightest, though, as he immediately follows up on that bicycle knee smash by leaning down and latching on a rear waist lock on Charlie Marr’s fallen body! What’s he going for here, with Charlie laid out like that?!
Flannery McCoy: A SHOWING OF STRENGTH, THAT’S WHAT! BRAE is deceptively strong for his size, and he’s showing off right now with what he’s capable of as he deadlifts Charlie Marr off the ground and, in one fluid motion, launches him overhead with a deadlift German suplex! WOW! Now THAT is our Interwire Champion, pound for pound one of the strongest wrestlers we have in the business!
Jake Mercer: Things aren’t looking too well for the former world champion right now as BRAE grabs a hold of him and rolls him back into the ring; the Interwire Champion knows as well as anybody that he won’t be able to win the match outside, and just as we expected he slides in to hook Charlie’s leg! The referee quickly begins to count!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOO-
Stew-O: But Charlie Marr is showing his resilience with that emphatic kick out! BRAE doesn’t seem too surprised; as a matter of fact, there seems to be a grin spreading across the face of our Interwire Champion as we can see the thrill of combat beginning to fill him! BRAE rises to his feet before leaning down and grabbing the legs of Charlie Marr; what is he going for here?!
Flannery McCoy: Something we rarely see from him, but it is indeed one of BRAE’s signature moves! He’s going for the Brigid End, that signature inverted cloverleaf submission hold of his! Charlie Marr is doing everything he can to prevent BRAE from locking it in, though; even with all of the damage Charlie has taken to his head, he’s still lucid enough to sense the danger he’s in and he lashes out with his legs as hard as he can!
Jake Mercer: He’s able to flail his legs hard enough to get freed from BRAE’s grip! One of those wild thrashings ended up connecting with BRAE’s jaw, causing the Interwire Champion to stagger back with a hand on his chin! That gives Charlie Marr the opportunity to scramble over to the corner! BRAE is quick to recuperate, though, and he rushes forward looking to prevent Charlie from being able to recover!
Stew-O: Charlie has risen up in the corner using the leverage of the ropes, and BRAE quickly closes in with malicious intent! HE GOES FOR THE BICYCLE KNEE SMASH, LOOKING TO DO SOME BRUTAL DAMAGE TO CHARLIE ONCE AGAIN, BUT CHARLIE IS ABLE TO SIDESTEP IT AT THE LAST MOMENT! That bicycle knee smash connected with the padded turnbuckle, a much more painful landing spot than Charlie’s head! BRAE has his leg clutched in pain as Charlie turns this situation around by shoving BRAE into the corner! BAM! A HEADBUTT BY CHARLIE MARR CONNECTS TO THE HEAD OF BRAE, CAUSING THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION TO FLOP BACK AGAINST THE CORNER IN A DAZE!
Flannery McCoy: That headbutt was enough to keep BRAE dazed for more than a couple seconds, and that’s all the time that Charlie Marr needed to completely capitalize as he took a few steps back, getting away from the corner before sprinting right back to the Interwire Champion and knocking him silly with a running knee lift! That’s not enough for Charlie Marr, though, because he grabs the wrist of the Interwire Champion before launching out from the corner towards the ropes with an Irish whip!
Jake Mercer: BRAE wasn’t able to reverse THAT Irish whip, and instead follows through as he ends up rebounding from the ropes and running right back towards the former world champion! Colossus was ready and waiting for him, though, and intercepted the running Interwire Champion with a tremendous big boot! He doesn’t go for the pin off of that, though, as he suddenly steps out onto the apron and leers at BRAE from there! He seems to take aim before grabbing a hold of the top rope with both hands, and– WOAH!
Stew-O: HE SLINGSHOTS OVER THE TOP ROPE! HE USED THE ROPE TO LAUNCH HIMSELF HIGH UP BEFORE DROPPING DOWN WITH A SLINGSHOT ELBOW DROP! NOW Charlie hooks the leg after connecting with that huge elbow drop, looking for the pin on the Interwire Champion!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOO-
Flannery McCoy: But BRAE kicks out of the pin attempt as hard as he can! Charlie Marr looks annoyed by BRAE continuing to stay in the match, but he doesn’t look deterred by the resilience! Instead, he begins brutalizing the Interwire Champion, getting into a mounted position and raining down on him with a barrage of strikes! BRAE is able to block a portion of them, but Charlie’s offense and energy is hard to withstand with the level that he operates at! BRAE’s blocking is rendered moot, though, as Charlie suddenly grabs a hold of both of BRAE’s wrists and drags him up to a standing position, albeit still in a dazed state!
Jake Mercer: A stiff kick to the midsection by the former world champion causes BRAE to double over, and Charlie takes that opportunity to tuck BRAE’s head between his quads! Charlie wastes no time in forcing BRAE up onto his shoulders– woah, Charlie staggers back as soon as he has the Interwire Champion up there, seemingly dealing with the effects of the damage that BRAE has already unleashed on him!
Stew-O: That isn’t enough to stop Charlie Marr, though, as he falls forward and attempts to plant BRAE with a falling powerbomb on the Interwire Champion! AND HE IS ABLE TO CONNECT WITH IT! BRAE PLUMMETED DOWN TO THE CANVAS OFF OF THE SIX FOOT THREE FRAME OF CHARLIE MARR, AND CHARLIE DOESN’T HESITATE TO GO FOR YET ANOTHER PIN, THIS TIME LEVERAGING HIMSELF OVER BOTH OF THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION’S LEGS! DOES HE HAVE IT?! A WIN OVER THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION WILL BE A GREAT WAY TO START THE YEAR!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Flannery McCoy: BUT BRAE IS ABLE TO KICK OUT OF THAT MANEUVER AS WELL! Charlie Marr slaps the mat as he’s getting even more frustrated here! He’s been dominating BRAE in this portion of the match, but the Interwire Champion refuses to be put down! A malicious look can be seen in Charlie’s eyes as he glowers down at BRAE before grabbing him by the hair and dragging both of them up to a standing position after some difficulty!
Jake Mercer: AND CHARLIE SUDDENLY HOISTS BRAE INTO THE AIR! THE HEADMASTER RITUAL CONNECTS! CHARLIE UNLEASHES HIS SIGNATURE SPINEBUSTER OUT OF NOWHERE, PLANTING BRAE DOWN WITH A HUGE THUD NEAR THE CORNER! CHARLIE LOOKS UP TO THE CORNER BEFORE LOOKING BACK AT BRAE! I THINK HE’S GOT MURDER ON THE MIND AS HE SLOWLY STAGGERS TO THE CORNER AND STARTS SCALING THE ROPES!
Stew-O: HE’S ABLE TO MAKE IT UP THERE AS HE LOOKS DOWN AT BRAE! THIS MAY BE THE END! CHARLIE MARR LAUNCHES HIMSELF OFF OF THE TOP ROPE AS HE FLIES DOWN TOWARDS BRAE WITH SIN SALIDA! CHARLIE’S FINISHING DIVING DOUBLE FOOT STOMP MANEUVER, HEADED STRAIGHT FOR BRAE LIKE A NUCLEAR MISSILE!
Flannery McCoy: OH MY GOD! BRAE WAS ABLE TO ROLL OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT! CHARLIE’S STOMP LANDS ON NOTHING, AND THE IMPACT CAUSES CHARLIE TO FALL FORWARD AS THOUGH HE ACTUALLY DID CONNECT WITH BRAE! THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION SEES THE OPPORTUNITY AND PULLS HIMSELF BACK TO HIS FEET AS QUICKLY AS HE CAN BY USING THE ROPES! CHARLIE IS FACE-DOWN AS HE STARTS CRAWLING FORWARD TO GET UP, BUT–
Jake Mercer: RED DEATH! RED DEATH! RED DEATH CONNECTS! BRAE JUST LAUNCHED HIS FINISHING H-BOMB MANEUVER AT THE BACK OF CHARLIE’S HEAD, AND THAT MAY HAVE KNOCKED HIM OUT RIGHT THERE! BUT BRAE TURNS CHARLIE ONTO HIS BACK BEFORE REELING BACK AND– ANOTHER RED DEATH! THIS TIME TO THE JAW OF CHARLIE MARR! THAT’S GOT TO BE A STRAIGHT UP KNOCK OUT! THE REFEREE GOES TO CHECK ON CHARLIE, BUT BRAE HOOKS THE LEG, CAUSING THE REFEREE TO COUNT!
ONEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
((ULTRA INSTINCT THEME by Carameii began blaring through the speakers once again to a massive ovation as BRAE rolls off of Charlie Marr with a smile on his face, hearing the familiar tune. He staggers to his feet with his own power, refusing the referee’s help, before taking the Interwire Championship in his hand and raising it above the body of Charlie Marr.)
Stew-O: What a hard-fought battle by these two elitists! I really thought Charlie Marr had BRAE’s number at the end, there, but the Interwire Champion was able to turn things around in a BIG way by evading Charlie’s finishing maneuver and landing two of his own!
Flannery McCoy: This is undeniably a huge win for BRAE to start off the season, raising the Interwire Championship over a former world champion that just dominated Voltage not too long ago!
Jake Mercer: This is just the beginning of BRAE’s reign as Interwire Champion, without a doubt, and we can only guess what he is going to be able to accomplish throughout the rest of the reign if he’s starting things off like this! Congratulations to the Interwire Champion, Son BRAE!
(The video feed lingered as BRAE continued to celebrate his victory by hoisting up his Interwire Championship before the feed faded to black.)
(A commercial plays for Reckless Wiring.)
(‘Dragonborn’ by Jeremy Soule hit the arena speakers. The crowd cheers as Brian Daniels heads out, dressed casually for the night since he isn’t competing. However, there’s much he wants to say, and with a microphone already in his grasp, he makes his way toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time, EAW Hall of Famer… BRIIIAAAAAN DAAAAAANIIEEEEEELS!!
Stew-O: It’s been an up-and-down past couple of weeks for Brian Daniels. Back at Pain for Pride, his season would end with a loss to a very game Jay Jerry Johnson, who has been drafted to Voltage and is looking to use the momentum he got from one of his biggest wins to date to help further bolster an already impressive resume. It was a technical masterpiece between these two highly skilled Elitists, and Brian sought to rebound last week at the Draft Show against Chris Elite, only for the match to be declared a draw. So far, things haven’t gone his way, but looking at his expression as he gets into the ring, he doesn’t seem deterred. Not one bit.
Jake Mercer: Ebbs and flows happen all the time; the past couple of weeks and their hiccups don’t erase the consistent string he has been on since he returned with us. Spending another season on Dynasty also means that there’s a chance for Brian to be a champion again after years without a title to his name.
Flannery McCoy: And of course, with Cy Henderson being the current EAW World Heavyweight Champion, one has to wonder if Brian—
Jake Mercer: Shhh!! Perish the thought! He can have fun with the Interwire title, but NOT when it comes to the Big Gold for Big Match Cy!
Flannery McCoy: Riiiiiight…
Stew-O: And that’s even taking into consideration Cy is still the champion by the time Brian works his ambitions towards that particular title. However, it’s one thing at a time, and now, Daniels speaks!
(‘Dragonborn’ fades off, and Brian looks around for a bit before he gets straight to it.)
Brian Daniels: Well, I know some people here will see my return as a mixed bag. I came in wanting to redeem myself and, of course, be a champion, but it seems I have only been able to achieve one of those goals. And you know what?
(A beat.)
Brian Daniels: That’s fine!
(The fans cheer.)
Brian Daniels: You see, it’s easy to get caught up in what you have and haven’t done; what you have been able to win and what you’ve lost, but me? That’s not my concern. Would it have been nice to stand here as a champion? Yes. Would it have been great if I got to walk out of Pain for Pride with a season-ending win, putting a stamp on what’s to come for me? Yes! Would it have been even better if I had been able to beat Chris Elite last weekend, setting the tone for myself? Absolutely. However, just because things have kind of tapered off for me toward the end does not mean this new beginning can’t be fruitful. I’m not here to kick myself in the rear. I’m here to be better than I ever was, and I’m not going to be that if I’m comparing myself to others or myself and thinking about all I used to do. It’s counterproductive, don’t you think?
(Some cheers and shouts ring out, with the audience fully agreeing with Brian. Their reaffirmation makes him smile.)
Brian Daniels: I mean, in a way, yeah, it’s good to look back and see which aspects of yourself you can still harness, but if I want to get better? If I want my future to be successful? Then I have to focus on what’s ahead and not what has already been done. It’s easy to compare how things went before, but I’m only worried about what I can do now… and trust me, I’m not slowing down for a single second.
Brian Daniels: Things got a little shoddy, but that’s fine. All I know is I’m looking to get things back into the win column, and then? I want my hard work to be worth it by being able to hold championship gold once more. I’m not picky, either. All I want is for people to see me as someone who can come back and not—
(‘It Ain’t Safe’ by Skepta suddenly muffles his words. Brian’s head whips to the stage, and the fans boo. Charlie Marr comes out, bearing a smirk, and has a microphone of his own in hand. Brian raises a brow.)
Stew-O: Well, this is a surprise! What could Charlie Marr want with Brian Daniels?!
(The world was going to find out.)
Charlie Marr: Aww. Someone is all perked up again, huh? Well, congratulations, Brian—nobody gives a FUCK!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
(Brian blinks. He walks over to the ropes, forearms leaning into the top one as he eyes Charlie down.)
Charlie Marr: Let’s just cut to the chase, yeah? This whole big reunion run has been a giant bluff. Nothing memorable has happened. Not a single win sticks out. Hell, you just lost at Pain for Pride whereas I actually was able to end my season standing tall, so if we want to get into the crux of who deserves to be a champion again? That would be me. Had to stay out of action for months, but I came back to form, and here I am, more dangerous than ever.
Brian Daniels: Back to form, huh? Didn’t we just see BRAE beat your sorry ass, though?
(The fans cheer, liking that sharpness. Charlie, however, doesn’t, evident by the huff he gives.)
Charlie Marr: Ignore that! All of the GOATs have an off night. Besides, that Tesco version of you is gonna drop the Interwire title next show in, so I don’t give a rat’s arse about him getting a win he’ll never be able to replicate. The fact of the matter is this, Brian: you won’t be winning anything while I’m here, and with this new landscape? It means a new era for yours truly.
Brian Daniels: Is that what you truly believe, Charlie? Because you want to know what I think? I think you got too much pomp and ego for someone who needs to work his way back up towards the top of the pecking order. At least I have enough self-awareness to acknowledge that I have to start over. You? You wouldn’t know what awareness is, even if the definition of it were slapped right on top of that bald head of yours.
Charlie Marr: Oh, hardy haur haur. Funny one, Brian. Nice to see you have a personality; at least you’ve managed to develop one sooner than Rex McMidistier did. You can see me as having no awareness, but trust me: I am very aware of what it is I want…
(He smirks.)
Charlie Marr: And I think I’ll go ahead and beat the crap out of you to get it.
Brian Daniels: Yeah? Well then, what are you waiting for, Charlie? You want a go at it? Then let’s GO!
(Brian slams the microphone down, causing the fans to erupt firmly behind him. Charlie sneers. Down goes his own mic, and he storms down the ramp, ready to face Brian!)
Stew-O: And here we go! The back-and-forth is over with! Charlie races in—
(…)
(…)
(…but he stops just short of sliding into the ring. He laughs and slowly shakes his head. Brian glares at him.)
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Flannery McCoy: So much for all that tough talk!
(Charlie laughs.)
Charlie Marr: (off-mic) No, Brian… we’re gonna be doing things on MY terms. Don’t be so reckless.
(Charlie Marr backs away, which only further frustrates Brian. He’s yelling at him to not be a coward, but he’s already up to the stage.)
Stew-O: Things are definitely not going to smooth over between those two—especially with Charlie wanting to call the shots here. Brian will need to be prepared and careful for anything that can happen!
(The final shot shows Brian standing with disgust as Friday Night Dynasty fades elsewhere…)
(Friday Night Dynasty returns to show the parking area of the Spokane Arena, where the show is taking place. A late arrival just before the main event, a black SUV is seen pulling up to the entrance. The door to the driver’s seat quickly pushes open, as a person is seen making his way out… World Heavyweight Championship in tow.)
Stew-O: Well, it was only a matter of time before he made his presence felt. Cy Henderson is here, and he’s certainly not happy about what happened last week at the EAW Draft in his main event match against Impact.
(The camera pans upward as Cy Henderson is seen, with the World Champion having a scowl on his face as he throws his title over his shoulder. He makes his way around the car as he wastes zero time storming toward the arena.)
Flannery McCoy: We saw one of the newest draftees to the Dynasty roster, EAW Chairman and Hall of Famer Methuselah, make his presence felt as he attacked him and cost him the match. It’s not something that rests easily on Cy’s mind, and I can only imagine how he feels starting his season that way, especially with the standard he has to uphold as World Champion. If anything, he’s looking for some answers.
Jake Mercer: I don’t know if he’s gonna get that. But if he is, then the Unction is gonna be popping off! Woo!
(Cy makes his way toward the door as he swings it open.)
Cy Henderson: …
(Standing in front of him are a line of masked, cloaked men. They’re faceless and stoic, showing no signs of emotion or movement. We’re led to assume that these are hired hands of Methuselah, and they’re certainly not letting him get by.)
Stew-O: CY TAKES THE WORLD TITLE AND STRIKES IT ACROSS THE FACE OF ONE OF THE CLOAKED MEN! THE OTHER THREE BEGIN TO SWARM AROUND CY AND TRY AND ATTACK HIM, BUT HE’S QUICK TO SHOVE ONE OF THEM AWAY AS HE CREATES A PASSAGEWAY FOR HIM TO ESCAPE BACK OUT TO THE PARKING LOT AREA!
Flannery McCoy: ONE OF THEM RUSHES TOWARD CY, BUT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY THE CHAMPION RUSHES FORWARD AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A CLOTHESLINE! HE THEN KICKS THE OTHER IN THE GUT AND GRABS HIM BEFORE SENDING HIM INTO THE OTHER, CLOAKED FIGURE! CY IS MANAGING TO FIGHT THEM OFF! HE WANTS TO GET TO METHUSELAH AND HE KNOWS THAT HE DOESN’T HAVE TIME TO WASTE!
Jake Mercer: ANOTHER ONE RUSHES TOWARD CY, BUT HE MANAGES TO DUCK UNDER HIS STRIKE BEFORE GRABBING HIM AND SENDING HIM DIRECLTY INTO THE CONCRETE WALL! AND NOW ALL OF THEM ARE COMPLETELY OUT! CY IS TURNING HIS ATTENTION BACK TOWARD THE ARENA AND HE’S MARCHING WITH A PURPOSE!
(Cy has a pissed off expression on his face as he picks up his title off the ground and begins to drag it toward the arena, as he makes his way back inside…)
(CRACK!)
Stew-O: WHAT THE HELL?! SOMEONE JUST CAME FROM BEHIND AND CONNECTED WITH A STEEL PIPE TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD!
(Cy drops down to the ground as he crumbles in pain, clutching the back of his head as he groans. The camera pans upward… as it’s revealed to be none other than Methuselah, who has a smirk on his face as he looks at the Champion.)
Flannery McCoy: It seems he’s found the whereabouts of the Hall of Famer, but it’s not in the way that he expected. Methuselah had a distraction, and it was enough to take him out! Certainly not the way the World Heavyweight Champion wanted to make his first appearance on Friday Night Dynasty this season!
Jake Mercer: We heard what Methuselah said to kick off the show, that it was time to kill the nostalgia act and bring the World Title into his hands, and this very well might be his way of doing it in due time!
(Methuselah brings himself down to a knee, as he looks down at Cy Henderson, shaking his head in disappointment. As he dusts himself off, he makes his way up to his feet, not saying anything as he turns around and makes his way out of the scene, leaving Cy in his lonesome, still trying to recover from the surprise attack. It’s the very last shot seen before Friday Night Dynasty, then, begins to fade to elsewhere.)
(The camera cuts to Stephie Love in the ring.)
Stephie Love: The following main event contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘When Darkness Falls’ by Killswitch Engage is still heard blaring throughout the speakers, with Drake King making his way out from the back & standing at the entrance ramp with a surefire expression on his face. The two-time Grand Rampage Winner looks outward with his focus intact, the crowd continuing to let their reactions be heard as he proceeds to walk down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first! From Heaven’s Gate, weighing in at 220 pounds… HE IS ‘GOD’, DRAAAAAAKE, KINGGGGGG!!!
Stew-O: Following a main event loss at Pain for Pride, Drake King will be venturing into yet another battle against an accomplished man who he has been acquainted with further this week, as this match tonight will be embroiled with all of the momentum to begin between two men who are bound to exchange in a fight tonight!
Flannery McCoy: There’s no doubt that with the beginning of the season looming ahead, the two elitists tonight will be looking to establish any prominent base of momentum possible, and having that victory over the other so close to the show can do just that!
(‘Number One’ by Shirō Sagisu & Hazel Fernandez can be heard throughout the speakers as the audience responds loudly for the arrival of Limmy Monaghan. The former World Champion looks ahead to the ring, focused on his match tonight as he proceeds to step himself down the ramp, prepared for his main event outing with Drake King.)
Stephie Love: And his opponent! Residing from Golden Beach, Florida, weighing in at 227 pounds… LIMMYYYYYYYYYY MONAGHAN!!!
Stew-O: Limmy Monaghan will be stepping back into the fray just weeks after a hellacious battle for the Hardcore Championship, which resulted in a setback that no one would like to be given. But now is the time to usher in newfound momentum for himself with this match!
Jake Mercer: Surely goes without saying that this will be a crucial match for both men, as the main event of Pain for Pride was an unsuccessful venture for Drake King as well, which leaves these elitists with a lot more to prove themselves by beginning this season properly!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: And here we go!!! The main event of Dynasty is finally upon us as we have Drake King & Limmy Monaghan set to collide right here before our very eyes! Both men are tremendously accomplished competitors, as we now see the two elitists facing off in what could truthfully be a marquee main event on any given event that we are witnessing right here! This will be a proper testament to what both of these men bring to the table, and that will be shown as they go one-on-one to see who can have momentum back on their side as we head into an entire season to come!
Flannery McCoy: Which is always much easier said than done, as these two will each have to put up a very surmountable amount of effort in order to defeat one another tonight! They each begin to pace around the ring now, ensuring that they are closing the gap as they begin to step toward one another & soon initiate in the collar & elbow tie-up from there! Drake King & Limmy Monaghan are now trying to push one another accordingly, as they seem to be fairly even in regards to their strength here as well!
Jake Mercer: As Limmy’s pushing Drake into the ropes, not looking to hold back and keep this standstill as he’s exerting all of his weight against Drake to soon shove him into the ropes! The referee proceeds to count away as now Limmy is keeping Drake pressed against the ropes while Drake doesn’t have much room to do anything else for himself here! Eventually, Limmy does begin to back himself away, as Drake raises his own hands and nods with the referee’s count coming to a halt as well. Limmy’s backing off as Drake sports a small smirk, nodding to him as Limmy can’t help but muster a grin too!
Stew-O: Certainly enough between both elitists here to acknowledge, as they proceed to pace around the ring once more, beginning to motion forward—BUT DRAKE POUNCES! With his arm wrapped around Limmy’s head as he’s now able to employ a headlock! Monaghan is shaking his own head as he’s refusing to be brought down by any chance of a headlock takedown, now looking to move backward & into the ropes once more! Limmy is able shove Drake off of himself as Drake along is sent toward the ropes, having to return back as Limmy now stands upright—
Flannery McCoy: INTO A SUDDEN FOREARM FROM DRAKE KING!!! Limmy is staggered considerably as he’s knocked directly into the ropes, clutching his own jaw as Drake King sees a newfound opening here with how he has decided not to start this match off at a slower pace! Drake treks toward Monaghan and he’s looking to maintain this advantage, taking hold of Limmy & looking to hoist him upward to send him crashing down onto the ROPES THROAT FIRST AS WELL!
Jake Mercer: LIMMY SQUIRMS FREE & BEHIND DRAKE KING! Drake quickly turns himself around in quite the hurry—INTO A KNIFE EDGE CHOP FROM LIMMY! Drake felt every bit of that chop as he’s shaking his own head, feeling every ounce of pressure as Limmy doesn’t seem too interested in slowing himself down from here.. AS ANOTHER CHOP FOLLOWS ACROSS THE CHEST OF DRAKE KING! Drake is staggering himself over to the corner as he’s being placed through the frenzy from Limmy while his opponent still can!
Stew-O: As Limmy is sending repeated rights & lefts, with the referee counting down as he doesn’t seem all too inclined on allowing leeway either for what’s still a regular exhibition! Monaghan stops himself before the five count as he backs away, with Drake King remaining dormant against the corner—AS LIMMY SOON RUSHES HIMSELF TOWARD DRAKE KING IN A HURRY WITH A RUNNING FOREARM SMASH—
Flannery McCoy: BUT DRAKE HOISTS LIMMY OVER TO TOSS HIM OUT OF THE RING! Drake King uses Limmy’s own momentum against him at the nick of time, but it’s to the detriment of himself as Limmy is able to hold onto the rope & land onto the apron! Drake turns himself around to see that Monaghan is refusing to be brought down, as he’s now rushing toward him & looking for a forearm of his own to take him down to the ringside floor!
Jake Mercer: BUT LIMMY WITH A BACK ELBOW AGAINST THE TEMPLE OF DRAKE KING! Monaghan is able to buy himself plenty of time as Drake is staggered while leaning against the ropes, as Limmy proceeds to pull Drake King through the ropes while he’s dazed and out for the moment! Limmy is grasping his arms around Drake King from behind, around his waist as he’s thinking about doing something unthinkable to truly kick this match into an electric gear!!! LIMMY IS LOOKING TO GERMAN SUPLEX DRAKE KING ONTO THE COLD APRON!!
Stew-O: BUT DRAKE CLUTCHES ONTO THE TOP ROPE BEFORE LIMMY COULD COMMIT! Monaghan is trying to pull Drake downward but he’s unable to do so as Drake is able to utilize the ropes to his advantage—AS DRAKE SENDS AN ELBOW OF HIS OWN AGAINST THE JAW OF LIMMY!! Monaghan is back to clutching onto his jaw as Drake has been freed, with enough leeway to be given to himself as Drake King looks to recuperate while Monaghan is left to his own devices here, albeit very vulnerable—
Flannery McCoy: AS DRAKE FLIPS OVER ONTO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR WITH LIMMY HOISTED OVER HIS SHOULDERS—AND LEADS HIM AWAY FROM THE APRON WITH A POWERBOMB INTO THE BARRICADE!!! MY GOODNESS!!! The athleticism of Drake King that soon follows up with a powerbomb that has surely given him sizable momentum in this match! The EAW Hall of Famer has his advantage made loud & clear as Monaghan is now gonna be struggling a great deal for the rest of the match to come!
Jake Mercer: This doesn’t look good for Limmy at all, as Drake has his own time to recuperate while Monaghan is clutching onto the back of his own neck in response! The referee is looking to count down, but Drake King sees that there’s greater results to be made with the state that the former World Heavyweight Champion is in. Drake takes his time, taking hold of Limmy Monaghan as he’s tossing him back into the ring!
Stew-O: As Limmy is looking to motion himself howard, shaking his own head in defiance as he refuses to stay down for long—DRAKE RUSHES FORWARD WITH A SPINNING BACK ELBOW AGAINST THE BACK OF LIMMY’S NECK! Monaghan is dropped as Drake King soon hooks the leg, with the referee counting away from there!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
T—
Flannery McCoy: NOT ENOUGH! THE KICK OUT!! Drake sits himself upward, exhaling sharply as he understands Limmy certainly has more than enough left to give in the tank! Drake moves himself upward, as he’s now pulling Limmy away from the middle of the ring & toward the ropes! Drake is looking to make all of the good occur with the time that he has, placing Monaghan in position before HOISTING HIM UPWARD FOR A GOURDBUSTER ONTO THE TOP ROPE!
Jake Mercer: BUT MONAGHAN RETALIATES WITH A SUDDEN KNEE ACROSS THE SKULL OF DRAKE KING! Drake has to let go as Limmy stumbles backward & into the corner, with Drake King clutching onto his own skull before having to emphasize his focus back on Limmy! Drake rushes forward as he’s now looking to maintain his control over his opponent BY MOTIONING FOR—
Stew-O: NOTHING! LIMMY WITH A ELECTRIC BOOT ACROSS DRAKE’S JAW THAT CAUSES HIM TO STAGGER BACKWARD! Drake is dropping to a knee as Limmy now sees that he has his own opportunity to put down the two-time Grand Rampage Winner through his own accord! Monaghan has Drake lined up in his sights before RUSHING TOWARD HIM—BUT DRAKE SWINGS!!!!
Flannery McCoy: AS LIMMY DUCKS UNDER—AND CATCHES HIM WITH A SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX FOR GOOD MEASURE!!! Monaghan rises himself upward, with a hand over his own neck as he’s looking to get himself behind Drake King while he’s still slumped!! Drake is trying to keep himself from remaining down on the canvas.. but Limmy’s wrapping his arms around Drake’s waist!! And now—HE HOISTS DRAKE KING OFF OF THE MAT IN A SHOW OF STRENGTH BEFORE SENDING HIM DOWN WITH A DEADLIFT GERMAN SUPLEX!!! PIN MAINTAINED!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
T—
Jake Mercer: NO! NOT ENOUGH FOR DRAKE TO STAY DOWN! Drake King is able to kick himself out as Limmy is now sitting upward with a hand around the back of his own neck! Monaghan is struggling to keep himself together here as he sees that this is becoming quite the battle to go through! Now Limmy is dragging Drake King upward, refusing to keep him down for long as he may be sizing up for what can bring a closer end to this match—IN THE FORM OF ‘ASCALON’!!
Stew-O: BUT DRAKE SQUIRMS FREE AND SENDS A SUDDEN KICK TO THE KNEE OF LIMMY! Monaghan drops to a knee as Drake soon sends a sudden SUPERKICK across the jaw of Limmy to keep him at bay!!! Monaghan is staggered as Drake King is left in deepened waters where he can continue to surmount much of his control back toward himself! Drake motions for further here—
Flannery McCoy: BUT LIMMY WITH A SUDDEN PELE KICK THAT CATCHES DRAKE KING ACROSS HIS SKULL!!! Where did he find the wherewithal for that so quickly?!?? Drake King is dazed while Limmy isn’t exactly returning to his feet any quicker than he would truthfully like to be! Drake drops to a knee as Monaghan is still able to return to his feet first, targeting back on Drake King as he soon rushes back toward him with a BIG BOOT—
Jake Mercer: ‘TILL HE’S CAUGHT WITH A SUREFIRE ENZIGURI BY DRAKE KING THAT KNOCKS HIM DOWN TO HIS KNEES!! Limmy is stunned by the enziguri as Drake was still given enough time to recover as he sends enough to garner that control! Drake motions himself back over to Limmy, hooking his arms together as he’s now got Monaghan with nowhere else to go before DROPPING HIM!
Stew-O: AS AN EMPHATIC ‘ASCENSION’ PEDIGREE SENDS LIMMY CRASHING ONTO THE CANVAS FACE FIRST!!! Drake King does enough to ensure that there is no leeway to be had with Limmy, as he now turns him over and hooks the leg from here to maintain the count as well!!! The referee slides to the count!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREE—
Flannery McCoy: NO! LIMMY IS ABLE TO KICK OUT!! Drake King is sitting himself upward as he’s feeling the wherewithal of this whole match soon getting to him! Drake is shaking his head as he’s now rising to his feet, and he drags Limmy over & closer to the corner! Drake proceeds to motion himself toward the top turnbuckle, bringing himself upward as he’s looking to ensure that he can make the most out of this Monaghan is still struggling to even lift a finger right now! AS DRAKE KING TAKES FLIGHT—
Jake Mercer: WITH THE PHOENIX SPLASH—BUT LIMMY MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! Drake King lands on his own two feet in time, rising upward and wide eyed as he’s now turning himself around & toward Limmy in a hurry—AS LIMMY RUSHES TOWARD HIM & NAILS A JUMPING TORNADO DDT TO SPIKE DRAKE KING INTO THE CANVAS!! Drake King is absolutely staggered by the sudden DDT from his opponent!
Stew-O: As Limmy Monaghan is able to find room for himself to recover while this is all turning into quite the evened matchup here with Limmy retaking control! Drake is shaking his own head vigorously while Monaghan returns to his feet, dragging Drake over and looking to make the most out of this advantage he has while he can still take it! Limmy takes hold of his opponent and aims for a SECOND ATTEMPT—AS ‘ASCALON’ CONNECTS THIS TIME! HE SPIKES DRAKE KING’S SKULL INTO THE MAT ONCE MORE AS HE HOOKS THE LEG!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEE—
Flannery McCoy: NO!!! KICK-OUT!!! DRAKE IS ABLE TO KEEP HIMSELF IN THIS MATCH!! Limmy is breathing heavily as he’s looking to ensure that this can end in the most emphatic manner possible! Monaghan is crawling himself toward the corner, as Drake is trying to rise himself upward despite the pressure that he is being faced with as this match continues—which may not last for much longer, as Monaghan is bringing himself up to the own two feet & marching toward Drake King—AND SEEKS OUT ‘OUTER HEAVEN’—
