January kicked off the new year, officially starting the second half of this season as the build to King of Elite began. With this came the beginning of both the Empress of Elite and King of Elite tournaments, which both found finalists by the end of the month. The tournaments this year were very unique, with the King of Elite quarterfinals and semifinals taking place on the same night, giving those participants an additional challenge. The Elitist of the Month for January is one of the participants in that tournament, BRAE! BRAE has had a very impressive run in the King of Elite tournament, advancing all the way to the finals of the tournament. BRAE has been on a great run, but what makes this even more special is knowing that he has achieved all of this while holding the Interwire Championship! BRAE has had a fantastic run, and thanks to that he now has the chance to do something very rare by winning the King of Elite tournament while already holding a Championship. It just goes to show how far BRAE has come as a competitor, and how dedicated he is towards making it through this tournament, even after being forced to go through two matches in one night.
