(Friday Night Dynasty intro plays. Once that’s done, a shot of the South of France Arena in Montpelier, France is showcased live to everyone watching! The fans are packing every seat imaginable, excited as can be for another night of Friday action. Pyrotechnics go off, and the camera pans over to the commentary team who are ready to kick the show off!)
Stew-O: EAW universe, welcome to another edition of Friday Night Dynasty! I am Stew-O, and I am joined by my team members, Jake Mercer and Flannery McCoy!
Jake Mercer: WOOOOOOOO!! Three more weeks to go, guys! I can hardly wait!
Flannery McCoy: Neither can anyone else! There’s a lot of excitement in the air and for good reason!
( The three commentators smile at the camera, before it moves away and pans towards the stage. “Pride and Arrogance” by Takeru Kanazaki echoes throughout the erena, prompting the French crowd to get swept up in a monsoon of boos. The camera sees Drake Armstrong, marching onto the stage with the same holier-than-thou demeanor. However, he seems to be a bit disgusted and disgruntled, potentially because he was knocked out the last time he was on television. He poses on the stage, almost cancelling out the negative reaction and taking it as a hero’s welcome before making his way down to the ring. )
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… THE 2025 KING OF ELITE… DRAKE! ARMSTRONG!
Jake Mercer: The world was shocked to see last week, when EAW Hall of Famer Impact, one of the greatest of all time, made a return that we never saw coming. It was a huge surprise to all of us, and many in the EAW Universe was divided, but a lot were happy seeing the legend back in the squared circle. It is always a pleasure seeing Impact, especially when it comes to Pain for Pride, but with that all being said, there is one person that wasn’t happy at all with his return, and that’s the King of Elite, Drake Armstrong.
Flannery McCoy: Drake Armstrong did Drake Armstrong things, by inserting himself into the match between Brian Daniels and Jay Jerry Johnson, and throwing it to take the spotlight all for himself in spite of those two. But, little did he know, karma would come back right at him, but not at the speed that it did in Monaco. Just when Armstrong was basking in his handiwork, Impact comes from out of nowhere and drops him with the Fist of Fury. This left Drake Armstrong in a pile of embarrassment, a complete opposite of what he had originally set out for, and you know that hasn’t sat well in the mind of the King of Elite.
( Drake Armstrong is handed a microphone and begins to speak. He ignores all of the ill will generated from the front row, and immediately looks towards the camera. )
Drake Armstrong: Who… do.. you.. think.. you.. are?
( Armstrong pauses, intentionally letting the question sink in the viewer’s mind. )
Drake Armstrong: Who do you think you are, Impact? Who do you think you are, to hobble off your couch and embarrass your King of Elite in front of millions? That night in Monaco, was supposed to address what these subjects are starting to forget–a moment to remind these subjects that we are still under the Armstrong Dynasty empire. It was appropriate that it was at the expense of Jay Jerry Johnson and Brian Daniels. Those two robbed me of my opportunity to spread my good word. Therefore, like the benevolent King I am, returned the favour, and robbed them of an outcome of their little competition. A story of reciprocation, but it’s not about that, because that interview wasn’t the first time that night where I was disrespected because it happened twice. It happened a second time when Impact came back at a time where a vintage and antique, outdated tart like him is not needed. He came back, and rather than giving me the proper respect, he balled up that fist and struck me right in my picturesque frame. And for what?
Drake Armstrong: That old dog and I–we have history, dating back to Operation: Doomsday, and I was the one who emerged as the sole victor. I beat him, and afterwards he did what he does best, and that is not show his face, and that was the wisest decision he’s made, quite arguably, in his long and tenured career. It almost rivals the irresponsible ones he’s made, which included him ever entertaining the possibility where Impact is perceived as superior to yours truly. He was for once, intelligent in tucking his tail in between his legs and deserting this company. No one even noticed it and no one wanted you back. And now, after all this time, where you squirmed around, quiet as a mouse when pressure was applied, you have the audacity to sneak back in? Oddly enough, at a time where everything about Dynasty, from this ring, to the stage, to the commentary team, to even this arena, is my domain?
Drake Armstrong: This has got to be a joke! Everyone has long developed these negative connotations towards me, especially targeted towards how “entitled” I am, but where is that same energy directed towards Impact? It is evident to me that all that retirement money is starting to run paper thin, and considering that he has never missed a Pain for Pride event, he assumes that this is the perfect time for him to strike while the iron is piping hot. He genuinely believes that he can simply barge back into my empire with open arms. That nonsensical rubbish might pass over on the other days of the week, but not here. Not on my watch.
Drake Armstrong: I was hoping that the humiliation served to him back in March would have sufficed to permanently kill his ego, but it wasn’t enough seeing how Impact is back at it. Another year, another Impact return. He is doing the same thing, expecting to get different results, all while refusing to accept that the landscape has changed. In the past, he was able to thrive with his hundredth million return to the ring because Drake Armstrong wasn’t around, but now that I am around? That isn’t going to happen as easily as he thinks, and if you beckon a reason? You’re looking at the reason why he was absent in the first place, and it appears that I have been burdened with the responsibility of doing it yet again. There is a threat in my kingdom. Albeit, there are a myriad of enemies aiming for the king’s head. There’s Brian Daniels.. There’s Jay Jerry Johnson… There are so many.. and I should take them out, one by one, instead of letting all these eggs in the basket fester, but I digress. While it would bring me nothing but peace and happiness to dispel them, Brian and Jay will be a bridge I will cross yet again, at another time.
Drake Armstrong: It is time I dispel a threat that has been laying dormant this entire time. I am tired of all these antique legends attempting to haze and intimidate me, thinking this is a decade ago when they actually held influence in Elite Answers Wrestling. It is a new era! It is a new time! It is a new dynasty! AND JUST LIKE I TOLD YOU MANY MONTHS AGO… THERE IS NO PLACE FOR YOU HERE.. IMPACT! AND THIS TIME! I PROMISE.. I WILL SEND YOU STRAIGHT DOWN INTO THE PITS OF HELL PERMANENTLY FOR YOUR TRANSGRESSIONS!
( A storm of boos immediately gets thrown at Drake. Drake Armstrong festered so much passion in that statement, that his face was right up against the camera. He calms himself, backing up and picking up the microphone yet again. )
Drake Armstrong: It is time… that you do what everyone else has come to do in your absence….
And that is..
Learn….
Your….
Pl-
( “Still D.R.E” by Ray Mak (piano cover) blasts through the speakers and interrupts Drake Armstrong mid-promo, leaving him in a trance as the familiar theme song brings life to the South of France Arena. Impact comes out to the stage, wearing a humongous smirk on his face to the appraisal of the French crowd. Impact intentionally lets his theme song have more runtime, obviously taunting Drake as he is yet again, raining down on his parade and most importantly, interrupting his time. His theme song eventually dies down and he begins to speak. )
Impact: Can you shut the fuck up?
( Drake Armstrong’s veins almost pop out of his neck, with his eyes bulging out of his socket to Impact’s statement. Meanwhile, the crowd is cheering him up. )
Impact: Seriously. I don’t even think it matters if I was gone for four months, eight months, up to a year, or even a decade, because what I’ve learned is that a constant with you Drake… is that you both resemble.. and talk like a little BITCH!
( Drake Armstrong stomps the canvas in anger, turning around, trying to shake off what he’s said. Meanwhile, the crowd begins to repeat him. He continues to look down, slowly progressing into a death stare towards the stage where Impact is standing. Meanwhile, Impact continues to move down to the ring. )
Crowd: Little b! Little b! Little b****!
Impact: Does the quote, unquote King require evidence? Look around you, open your ears, take a gander around, especially in the mirror, and as you hear the words coming out of your mouth. This is supposedly the Armstrong Dynasty empire? Come again? I blew the door off the hinges. Figured you would have better defences, but despite what you’ve said, and what has happened between us, no one can truly silence me. And in my absence, I have immensely enriched myself with wisdom, all while invigorating myself. Meanwhile, you have managed to grow somehow even more spineless.. and insecure.. and I just couldn’t. Nobody wants to hear you speak. Funny enough, I am not alone in my thoughts, because I wasn’t the only person who wanted to shut you up.. but I just had to take matters into my own hands.. and I just had to come out there and punch you right in the face.. and I loved every second of it.
( Drake Armstrong is reminded of the punch, holding his jaw. Impact walks up the steel steps and stands on the apron. )
Impact: There is some truth to what you’ve said. I’m not going to dance around it, there have been plenty of periods in my career where I’ve been on hiatuses–short and long–and come back. So has every other person on this planet, but carrying a quantitative study on my leaves and returns seems petty, especially when the amount of times that I’ve gone and went isn’t what’s made me special. As a matter of fact, you’re focused on the wrong subject matter. What quantity you should be focused on is the fact that I am the only ten time world champion in this company, but you wouldn’t know anything about that. It helps to do a study on these types of things out of personal experience, so this is a bit too advanced for someone like you, so I am going to break into layman’s terms for you, “King.”
Impact: You’re a gutless and brittle PUSSY!
Drake Armstrong (off-mic): WHAT! THAT DOESN’T EVEN CORRELATE TO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING!!
( The crowd cheers while Armstrong shakes his head in confusion. Impact cautiously steps into the ring while Drake looks like he is about to burst from the seams. )
Impact: People, including you, can gossip whatever you want about me. I’ve come to understand that it’s a new trend to talk about how many times I’ve left and come back to this company, but may I remind everyone that there is a great reason why I have held world championships through multiple points and eras in my career… and there is also a reason why I never needed to pump fake a King of Elite victory, and use all of that momentum, by stepping to the side and allowing three other elitists to main event Pain for Pride ahead of hi-
POW!!
Flannery McCoy: OH!! DRAKE ARMSTRONG HAS HAD ENOUGH OF HEARING THE EAW HALL OF FAMER AND FLOORS HIM WITH A DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN! IMPACT IS FIGHTING OUT! HOWEVER, IMPACT’S WORD ENRAGED DRAKE SO MUCH, THAT IT SEEMS LIKE HE IS WEAPONIZING IT! THE KING OF ELITE IS OVERWHELMING HIM WITH A RAINFALL OF LEFTS AND RIGHTS!
Stew-O: Impact tries to retreat away to the ropes, but Armstrong continues to apply pressure and chips away at him with stomps! AND ARMSTRONG NOW LANDS A BIG KICK TO THE SIDE OF IMPACT’S FACE!! AND IMPACT FALLS ENTIRELY INTO THE BOTTOM TURNBUCKLE!
Jake Mercer: Armstrong lays off the attack, using the momentary break to peel off his blazer and dress shirt. Impact is still trying to shake the cobwebs, seeing how this is the first time he’s gotten a physical since March. Meanwhile, Armstrong is stanced behind him, ready to strike whenever he gets back to a vertical base.
( Drake Armstrong is ready to attack, but he keeps a close distance and begins to raise his fist. The camera pans in and focuses on the ornate ring encrusted with the Armstrong Family’s symbol. )
Drake Armstrong (off-mic): YOU WANT TO KNOCK ME OUT!! HUH!!! TIME TO LEARN YOUR PLACE!!
Stew-O: OH NO!! ARMSTRONG HAS THAT RING!! HE HAS USED THAT JEWEL MULTIPLE TIMES TO LAY OUT HIS OPPONENTS IN THE PAST!
Jake Mercer: AND ARMSTRONG SWINGS FOR THE FENCES–
Stew-O: SWING AND A MISS!! ARMSTRONG DOESN’T LAND THE PUNCH AS IMPACT DODGED IT!! AND ARMSTRONG PUT SO MUCH STRENGTH INTO HIS ARM, THAT HE LOST BALANCE AND STUMBLED TOWARDS THE ROPES!
Flannery McCoy: And now, the EAW Hall of Famer takes advantage of the moment, and SENDS ARMSTRONG OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!! DRAKE ARMSTRONG SPILLS OUT ONTO THE RINGSIDE FLOOR AND IT SEEMS LIKE IMPACT HAS GOTTEN A COMEUPPANCE OVER THE KING OF ELITE YET AGAIN!
Stew-O: NO! DRAKE ARMSTRONG REFUSES TO LET HISTORY REPEAT! AS HE STORMS BACK INTO THE RIN–
( Drake Armstrong’s return to the ring is denied as security rushes in from different directions to keep them away from each other. The security ushers Armstrong up the ramp, holding him up as he screams and rages, desperately wanting to get his hands on him. Whereas Impact stands tall in the middle of the ring, taunting him and spending another week humiliating the King of Elite. )
Drake Armstrong (off-mic) : LET ME GO! I AM NOT FINISHED WITH HIM!!
Jake Mercer: Impact makes his impact known yet again, at the expense of the King of Elite! And it is another week where he has embarrassed him! First, he knocked him out, and now he’s standing tall over him while security escorts him out! This is definitely not going to end well!
Flannery McCoy: Drake Armstrong had all the opportunities and time in the world to lay Impact out, but it seems like he was obsessed with getting payback and making the EAW Hall of Famer feel what he felt last week in Monaco, and that was to use the Armstrong family ring to knock him out. He could’ve used a simple wrestling move to lay him out, but he just couldn’t. And Impact had that scouted, and was able to get the last laugh on Armstrong yet again, for the second week in a row.
Stew-O: I don’t know, guys. Armstrong looked like he was about to explode from the inside out, stemming from what happened last week. Now that this has happened, there’s no knowing the mental state of the King of Elite as we get closer to Pain for Pride. Things could get even more heated from here, as if we thought it wasn’t escalated enough.
( The last shot is an over-the-shoulder Impact shot of Drake Armstrong pointing and screaming at him as he disappears into the gorilla position. )
(The scene pans as the events of the opening to the show occur, we pan to the backstage area, showing Jay Jerry Johnson and Brian Daniels. The two of them witnessing everything in fray of what unfolds.)
Jay Jerry Johnson: Hm, real interesting that is. Kind of funny how it all works out, I see everything that shapes up throughout these weeks & this is what occurs. Wouldn’t you agree?
Brian Daniels: Yep. That would be the case now. wouldn’t it…?
(There was a slight sense of awkwardness between the two, Jay held the back of his neck as he glared at them. Tension was rather perplexing as they each had their own respective beliefs, but the two of them are able to give one another the glance & speak away, with Jay beginning.)
Jay Jerry Johnson: So, with that being said—looks like Jay Jerry Johnson vs Brian Daniels is the big one happening now. Quite the match ahead, if you were to ask me of how I truly felt on the endeavor to come.
(Brian Daniels nodded his head, as he crossed his arms and looked onward.)
Brian Daniels: Then I guess it’s just the two of us…
(Jay Jerry Johnson nodded at that, as he stood there and looked on.)
Jay Jerry Johnson: Pretty much so, and even with Drake eliminated from the picture, it’s still me doing whatever I possibly can to win.. I have had this same song and dance for a while now, but I am just ready to transcend up that card anyway that I possibly know how. Layers of respect may be there, and they may come with similar mentalities, I have a chip I wanna get off my shoulder, and I’ll stop at nothing to get back at that. I know how people view me, and I know that some might view me differently from how I view myself. But I view myself personally, as someone who can grasp the brass ring and run with it. I view it as someone who can really culminate all his hard work and dedication, as long as I have a place to practice. And Brian, I know that you’re an EAW legend, but this is just me adding into the book of what can be my EAW legend. No hard feelings, but Pain For Pride is going to be full throttle.
Brian Daniels: I agree with you, I want you to personally give that slight push to yourself. It can be a fun game as long as we go at it, so yeah. Keep that mindset, Jay. But if you want me to be honest, we might share the same sentiment, and we may even have that underlying respect for one another, you still have some way to go, Jay. Your luck as you climb the ladder, diving into more treacherous waters and getting higher scaled opponents hasn’t always exactly… gone too fantastic for you. Whereas for me? since comic back to the ring it has been a constant level of playing in the same ballpark. Remaining consistent and not allowing myself to drop any balls that may fly into my hands. But look, the both of us came back around to the dance this season. You didn’t even take a second, Jay. Immediately shooting into contention, you picked up that IW championship as if it were purely nothing with ease. But look..
(Brian raised an eye, as he looked at Jay. He scanned him up and down, before stroking his chin.)
Brian Daniels: I think that you have started to get into some slump here in EAW. I don’t know, but it feels as if over the years you’ve called your shot, but things just haven’t worked when getting over that hump. Look, I saw the title reign that you had, it was a tremendous amount of hard work, a major dedication of your craft, an honest truth to your own vices, but I feel like you could have also exhausted too much. I think you used all your good material then, and now you’re going to struggle a bit because of that. Pain For Pride will be an indication of what is to come in the future for you, Jay. I promise.
(Jay kept his arms crossed as he sat there and listened to what Brian had to say, as he finished his words, Jay more or less scoffed. He shook his head in refusal as he got closer to Brian.)
Jay Jerry Johnson: Can you do me a favor first and foremost? I have been in EAW for years now, almost as long as your last break was. I don’t need the veteran guidance, because I didn’t get to where I was without the trust in myself, I know what I am doing. It’s coming across as nothing more than you flaunting your career over my head. Do you really want to do that, Brian? My personal belief is you can toss all of that out the window whenever I beat you at Pain For Pride. I never lack self confidence in myself, even when I am at my worst, I know when things can go right for me, and I know when I am at my best, there will become a point where everything resets, and I am left having need to start over once more. I have confidence in myself, more than you could even anticipate or imagine, Brian. I know that I can beat you, and you saying that I have been unable to get to that next level, only boosts me more. I will get to that next level, and when I beat you, it’ll be a perfect realization of that.
Brian Daniels: You truly are confident in that assessment, and I’ll even tell you that’s a good thing. Phenomenal actually, you have been able to work hard enough to be noticed. I have been able to watch you since arriving back to EAW, and you have worked diligently enough to be considered a mainstay, but you will understand exactly why I have been respected to a great degree. I will make sure of that.
Jay Jerry Johnson: Respect which can be acknowledged for exactly how it is, yet I am still resolute in the way that I feel. To defeat you, and to ensure that I do not fall to any slopes into the new season to come. Pain for Pride, everything remains on the uphill. This is all that I have been working toward, you won’t halt my progress, Daniels.
(Jay spoke with fire and intensity but Brian stood there, arms crossed as he smirked. This is exactly what he wants from Jay..)
Brian Daniels: We will see.
(Brian would walk off, leaving Jay there.)
Stew-O: Jay Jerry Johnson is more focused now than ever! Being in the presence of Brian Daniels is really bringing something out of him!
Flannery McCoy: The two of them are very much alike, there is just something interesting about this match, that I don’t think any other match on the show can emulate!
Jake Mercer; I have high hopes for that match, I just hope they don’t let me down!
(Jay exhales sharply, looking toward Brian walking off as the scene soon fades out and back to ringside for the opening contest to begin.)
(‘Razorface’ by Celldweller begins to play through the speakers as David Gideon Smith comes out from the total darkness and intermittent lightning elements. He does his whole entrance before heading down to the ring. He is more than focused on adding another win to the column.)
Stephie Love: THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!!!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!!!
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING FIRST…FROM BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS…WEIGHING IN AT 245 POUNDS…HE IS ‘THE SOVEREIGN’…DAVID GIDEON SMITH!!!!!
Stew-O: So far, David Gideon Smith has one victory in Elite Answers Wrestling and that was at the expense of Mia Santoro. He is more than determined to add another win at the expense of a former New Breed Champion and current number one contender for the Interwire Championship, BRAE!
Flannery McCoy: David Gideon Smith has been having a tough time with getting himself in track, but I felt like getting that victory over Mia Santoro was the confidence that he needed to get to that next level. He can win a match, but he wants to win more. He is hungry for more.
Jake Mercer: He has a ton of potential, I’m not going to lie. He has a huge task with going up against BRAE tonight. While he may feel confident about his chances of winning this match, he can’t overlook someone like BRAE. Despite all the accomplishments in the world, anyone can defeat anyone at any given time or place.
(‘ULTRA INSTINCT THEME’ by Carameii begins to play as BRAE comes out from the back. The crowd begins to stand up for their feet as BRAE has an intense look on his face as he surveys the crowd before looking towards David Gideon Smith inside the ring.)
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING HIS OPPONENT…FROM BRAY COUNTY, WICKLOW, IRELAND…WEIGHING IN AT 215 POUNDS… HE IS ‘SON’…BRAE!!!!!!
Stew-O: 7-0, ladies and gentlemen! BRAE has one his past seven matches and that’s an impressive feat. Especially, as we approach Pain for Pride in just a couple of weeks! It’s what landed him in this amazing opportunity to challenge for the Interwire Championship! Speaking of the Interwire Championship…
(Chris Elite is seen at ringside with the Interwire Championship on his shoulder. He stands on the bottom of the ramp as BRAE and Chris exchange a look at each other. BRAE looks at Chris, then the Interwire Championship and back to Chris before looking to get inside the ring.)
Flannery McCoy: BRAE is aware that he’ll be facing a different version of Chris Elite. A champion in Chris Elite that refuses to let go of the title so soon. But, we all know what BRAE managed to do last year, so what’s going to stop him from trying to do the same thing again?
Jake Mercer: You mentioned that it might be a different Chris Elite at Pain for Pride, but it’s a different BRAE as well. A better version of BRAE. Something that Chris will need to consider. Pain for Pride is a true test on whether BRAE can win when it truly matters or he has just been lucky and Pain for Pride is when it runs out.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: It seems like David Gideon Smith is inviting BRAE into a ‘test of strength!’
Flannery McCoy: And, BRAE seems to accept it! Slowly, BRAE intertwines his hands with David Gideon Smith’s! The two men are pushing towards each other, looking to knock the other one back! But, David releases the hold! Maybe, he felt his grasp slipping from him! Maybe, he needed to think of a different approach! The referee stands in between David as he paces briefly, looking for his next approach!
Jake Mercer: Once the referee steps aside, David Gideon Smith and BRAE go for a lock up! He quickly goes for a waist lock on the former New Breed Champion! But, BRAE manages to reach his hand from behind and apply a headlock on David! David goes to lift up BRAE and connect with an atomic drop as David’s knee nails in between BRAE in the legs! This causes him to go down! Now, David manages to get BRAE in a front headlock before lifting him up for a front suplex, but BRAE lands on his stomach! He finds himself dangling on the top rope! His body looked like a seesaw on that top rope! David charges right after BRAE and lookss to nail him with a sharp knee to the side of his skull –
Stew-O: NO! BRAE MANAGES TO GET HIMSELF OUT OF POSITION! HIS FEET LAND ON THE APRON AS DAVID GIDEON SMITH LOOKS FOR A FOREARM TO BRAE, BUT BRAE MANAGES TO DUCK AND CONNECT WITH A SHOULDER THRUST THROUGH THE ROPES AND INTO THE RIBS OF DAVID AS THAT CAUSES HIM TO STUMBLE BACK! BRAE gets back inside the ring, but David manages to connect with a powerful lariat as that sends BRAE down! Now, we see David getting on top of BRAE! He begins to connect with a series of punches to the face! Then, he proceeds to elbow BRAE in the face! This is all rapid from the newcomer!
Flannery McCoy: The referee forces David Gideon Smith to step away from BRAE! David does what he is told! After all, I don’t think that he wants to risk disqualification! Especially, since he would love to add another victory to his win column! BRAE slowly, but surely, gets himself back to a vertical base! But, he picks up BRAE in a bear hug position before running with him to one of the corners! There, he connects with a series of turnbuckle thrusts to the ribs of the former New Breed Champion! HE BEGINS TO CONNECT WITH A SERIES OF MUDHOLE STOMPS TO THE GUT! BRAE COLLAPSES TO A SEATED POSITION! DAVID BEGINS TO PRESS HIS BOOT AGAINST BRAE’S FACE! HE HOLDS IT THERE FOR A GOOD MOMENT AND FORCES THE REFEREE TO BEGIN HIS COUNT!
Referee: (off mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! STEP AWAY, DAVID!
Jake Mercer: David Gideon Smith does exactly that! But, he seems to be stalking BRAE up to his feet before charging towards him at the corner and connects with a big boot to BRAE at the corner! That sends BRAE forward as David manages to catch BRAE and connect with a scoop slam! David has the cover!
OOOOOOONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTTWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Stew-O: BRAE powers out! David Gideon Smith gets BRAE in a front headlock before connecting with some fists to the back of BRAE’s neck! He gets a good grasp of BRAE’s head before connecting with some kawada kicks to the skull! Some of these kicks become more rapid than the last one before one final kick manages to stagger BRAE back! BUT, BRAE RUSHES FORWARD AND CONNECTS WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP TO THE CHEST! THAT MANAGES TO STAGGER DAVID A BIT, BUT DAVID RETURNS THE FAVOR BY CONNECTING WITH ANOTHER KNIFE EDGE CHOP! THIS STAGGERS BRAE! BRAE CONNECTS WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP! AND THEN, DAVID CONNECTS WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP! THE TWO ELITISTS ARE TRADING KNIFE EDGE CHOPS TO EACH OTHER! THEY ARE NAILING EACH OTHER AS HARD AS POSSIBLE! THEY WANT TO KNOCK BACK THE OTHER –
Flannery McCoy: BRAE connects with a nasty discus chop to the back of David Gideon Smith’s neck! This knocks him to his side! But, BRAE follows that up with a jumping enziguri kick as that knocks David to the ground! BRAE sees that David is still looking to get himself up, but he gets David for a headlock takedown before transitioning that to a grounded headlock! David seems to be in a bit of trouble for the time being, but his bigger build provides him with an opportunity to get himself out of this grounded headlock! He manages to get to his knees! But, BRAE manages to find himself to a knee as well, still maintaining that headlock! But, David begins to shove BRAE from the side! He is still looking for a way to get himself out of the headlock! But, David manages to lift BRAE off his feet and connect with a biel! BRAE is thrown to the horizontal set of ropes!
Jake Mercer: This is just some of the strength and force that BRAE needs to consider when facing someone like David Gideon Smith! While he’ll be facing the total opposite in Chris Eltie at Pain for Pride, BRAE is going to need to be prepared for anything that gets thrown in his direction! BRAE gets himself up, but David manages to pick up BRAE and connect with a twisting belly-to-belly suplex! David is gesturing for BRAE to get himself to his feet as he connects with a shoulder block as BRAE goes down! David gets BRAE into position for a front suplex, BUT BRAE FINDS HIMSELF ON THE TOP ROPE ONCE MORE! JUST LIKE AROUND THE BEGINNING STAGES OF THIS MATCH, BRAE’S BODY IS SEESAWING ON THAT TOP ROPE! DAVID RUNS RIGHT AFTER HIM AND NAILS A KNEE STRIKE TO THE SKULL! THIS KNOCKS BRAE OUT OF THE RING!
Stew-O: Chris Elite has been quite focused on this match! He seems to be letting David Gideon Smith do the work for the time being! BRAE falls down to the floor as David rolls himself out of the ring! He picks up BRAE and connects with a spinebuster! BRAE’s lower spine lands on the edge of the apron as that makes him collapse to the ground! David begins to batter the number one contender for the Interwire Championship with left and right punches! HE GETS BRAE IN A POWERBOMB POSITION AND BRAE LANDS RIGHT ON THE APRON! BRAE IS JUST BEING DISMANTLED FOR THE TIME BEING! THERE IS A PART OF CHRIS ELITE THAT SEEMS TO BE ENJOYING THIS! HE HAS A SHIT EATING GRIN ON HIS FACE! HE RAISES A FINGER UP IN THE AIR!
Flannery McCoy: CHRIS ELITE IS TELLING DAVID GIDEON SMITH TO POWERBOMB BRAE ONE MORE TIME!
Jake Mercer: David Gideon Smith looks like he’s going to listen to the suggestion as he gets BRAE up in a powerbomb position once more! But, BRAE begins to connect with punches to the top of David’s skull! David can feel his grasp slipping away from him as BRAE lands on the apron! David looks to retrieve BRAE, BUT BRAE CONNECTS WITH AN APRON KICK AS THAT SENDS DAVID BACK! BRAE KNOCKS DAVID TO OUR TABLE WITH A FLYING KNEE STRIKE TO THE FACE! BRAE GOES TO GET DAVID! HE LOOKS AT CHRIS ELITE BEFORE GETTING DAVID! BRAE UNDERHOOKS HIM BY THE ARMS AND LIFTS HIM UP! HE DRIVES DAVID ON THE TOP OF HIS SKULL WITH A BUTTERFLY DDT! THAT DID NOT LOOK GOOD AT ALL!
(BRAE turns his attention towards Chris Elite with the Interwire Championship on his shoulder. Nothing is said between the two men as BRAE turns his attention back to David Gideon Smith and gets him on top of the apron.)
Stew-O: BRAE begins to connect with a series of fists to the chest of David Gideon Smith! He is not letting David go as he continues on with his punches! BRAE slides himself back inside the ring! Look at this, Flannery and Jake! It seems like BRAE is looking to set up David for ‘The Ten Beats of BRAE!’ The EAW Universe knows what’s coming next and they are going to count along with BRAE! BRAE is looking at Chris Elite at ringside!
Crowd: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! EIGHT! NINE!…TEN!!!!!!
Flannery McCoy: David Gideon Smith collapses to the floor at ringside! He is clutching his chest! It doesn’t matter if you’re a big or small Elitist, male or female, those fists to the chest are not a pleasant move to take! Chris Elite almost looks like he could feel the pain of those fists that David is feeling at the moment! BRAE rolls himself out of the ring to retrieve David from ringside! David is looking to crawl away from the mess! BRAE manages to get a hold of David, but David manages to goad BRAE into a false sense of security! He manages to connect with a drop toe hold as BRAE falls face first to the top of our table before falling back!
Jake Mercer: Then, David Gideon Smith manages to grab BRAE from the back of his head and throw him to the steel steps! NOW, DAVID MANAGES TO CHARGE TOWARDS BRAE AND NAIL HIM WITH A NASTY BOOT TO THE FACE! DAVID MANAGES TO GET BRAE INTO A POWERBOMB POSITION BEFORE SLAMMING HIM DOWN ON TOP OF THE BARRICADE! BRAE IS BENDING BACK LIKE AN ACCORDION! David rolls BRAE back inside the ring! David is heading towards the top turnbuckle! What in the world is he looking to do now! He is facing towards BRAE on the top turnbuckle! David flies from the top rope –
Stew-O: A missile dropkick from the top rope to the back of BRAE’s skull as he was looking to make it back to his feet! This knocks him forward and back to the mat! David Gideon Smith begins to back away! This must mean that he is looking to go for ‘The Black Blade’ – his variation of the lariat! One of the stiffest in the game! IT TAKES A MOMENT FOR BRAE TO GET HIMSELF BACK TO HIS FEET! BRAE IS STUMBLING BACK TO HIS FEET AS HE TURNS HIMSELF AROUND – ‘THE BLACK BLADE’ FROM DAVID!
Flannery McCoy: NO! BRAE WITH A RUNNING KNEE STRIKE AS THAT STOPS DAVID GIDEON SMITH IN HIS TRACKS! HE LIFTS HIM UP AND CONNECTS WITH A SNAP DDT! BUT, BRAE IS NOT DONE HERE! HE MANAGES TO GET DAVID AND IT SEEMS LIKE HE’S GOING TO APPLY A REAR NAKED CHOKE ON DAVID! BUT, DAVID MANAGES TO FLIP BRAE FORWARD! BRAE TRIES TO GET HIMSELF TO HIS FEET, BUT DAVID MANAGES TO DELIVER A KNEE TO THE GUT OF BRAE BEFORE APPLYING A CROSS ARM BREAKER ON BRAE! BRAE FINDS HIMSELF IN A BIT OF TROUBLE AT THE MOMENT! HE USES HIS LEFT HAND AND GETS HIMSELF TO THE BOTTOM ROPE!
Referee: (off mic) ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! LET GO OF THE ARM, DAVID!
(The camera pans to Chris Elite, who has zero emotion written on his face. It seems like he’s really focused on the match in front of him, looking at every single detail and trying to think of an approach for Pain for Pride.)
Jake Mercer: BRAE tries to use the small window of time to get himself up! He uses the ropes to help himself up as David Gideon Smith rushes towards him! David is not looking to waste any more time here! BRAE manages to back him away with an elbow shot to the face! Then, BRAE goes right after him with a crossbody! But, David rolls through with BRAE in tow! He manages to lift up BRAE and take him back with an exploder suplex! BRAE collides with the corner! David rushes towards him and connects with a running cannonball senton as he collides with BRAE at the corner! David rolls himself back and onto his feet before getting BRAE and connecting with twelve elbows to the back of BRAE’s neck and spine! David is looking to use all of his force to make sure that BRAE stays down completely!
Stew-O: David Gideon Smith begins to back away! I think that he’s looking for ‘The Black Blade’ once more! He’s more than waiting for BRAE to get to the right level before charging towards him! But, BRAE nails a dropkick to the face of David! Then, BRAE gets David into a camel clutch kind of move! BUT, HE BEGINS TO BATTER DAVID WITH ELBOWS TO THE SKULL! DAVID IS COMPLETELY POWERLESS AT THE MOMENT AS BRAE IS SHOWING A TON OF AGGRESSION! HE CONTINUES TO NAIL ELBOWS TO THE SKULL OF THE NEWCOMER! BRAE HAS AN INTENSE LOOK AT CHRIS ELITE AS HE CONTINUES TO THROW THESE ELBOWS! ALMOST LIKE BRAE IS A MAN POSSESSED! OH SHIT –
Flannery McCoy: I BELIEVE THAT LAST ONE JUST KNOCKED OUT DAVID GIDEON SMITH! NOW, IT SEEMS LIKE HE’S GOING FOR THAT HIGH FOREARM DROP! BUT, WE SEE THAT DAVID IS SLOWLY TRYING TO REGAIN CONSCIOUSNESS AS – ‘RED DEATH!’ THAT KNOCKED THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF DAVID AS BRAE GOES FOR THE COVER! BRAE WITH THE COVER AS HE LOOKS DIRECTLY AT CHRIS ELITE AND THE INTERWIRE CHAMPIONSHIP!
OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
TTTTTTWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
TTTTTHHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘ULTRA INSTICT THEME’ plays once more as BRAE rolls off of David Gideon Smith. Slowly, the medical team helps David out of the ring and safely to the back as BRAE gets his hand raised by the referee.)
Stephie Love: THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH…BRAE!!!!!!!
Jake Mercer: That makes it 8-0, right? BRAE remains undefeated as we head towards Pain for Pride! Chris Elite was able to get a close look at the man that he’ll be facing at Pain for Pride and it’s unclear how he’s feeling about BRAE at the moment!
Stew-O: BRAE brought the fight to David Gideon Smith! Both men did everything in their power to hit the other as hard as possible! It was just a matter of who was going to hit the other the hardest and knock them out in the process! BRAE happened to do that first! Something that could happen to Chris Elite at Pain for Pride!
(The camera pans to David Gideon Smith who is slowly regaining some consciousness, but hasn’t really processed the loss yet. Then, it pans to BRAE, who is staring down at Chris Elite, who remains at ringside. Chris raises the Interwire Championship above his head. Both men are bantering at each other, but it remains unclear of what’s being said. BRAE is trying to goad Chris into the ring, but it seems like Chris is going to make his way up the ramp and into the back.)
Flannery McCoy: Tough luck for David Gideon Smith. He looked impressive against someone like BRAE, but like you said, Stew. This match was going to be a matter of who got knocked out first. BRAE saw his opening and took advantage, like any Elitist would have done. As for BRAE, could this be something that we’ll see at Pain for Pride?
(A commercial plays for Subway, featuring Ronan Malosi promoting the new gentrified-ass footlong “nachos” they’re selling. Let’s fucking hope these are for a limited time…)
(As Dynasty came back on the air, a very cinematic link up featuring Daniella Atlas and Saori Aizen would feature. The two of them approached one another, tension was always at a maximum whenever they were in the same room together, but this only continued.)
Daniella Atlas: Saori, I don’t know how many times I really need to tell you this cherie, I don’t know how often we can do the same song and dance.. I have knowledge for when things overstay and outweigh their welcome and well…
(Daniella paused for a second as she sat there tongue in cheek, as she looked at Saori.)
Daniella Atlas: It has much overstayed its welcome. I feel like when it comes down to it, I think there are better things that either of us could be doing, than this Pain For Pride expose. But for some reason, you just have a vicious case of Stockholm syndrome. You still wanna lose, you still wanna be beaten by me. If you wish to continue these losing ways, then I guess, be my guest huh? But at the end of the day, you’re the only person to blame. Point the finger at yourself if you’re going to be directing it, Saori. You did this to yourself, as you tried to play manipulation and create the perfect tricks for your game. It didn’t work out for you at all, and I always had sneaking suspicion that this was your plan externally, and it never felt more the nice to be vindicated in that feat. I beat you to the punch and gave you what you deserved, long before you could do that for me.
(Saori listened to what Daniella had to say, as she shook her head in disgust. Was it because of her words or just Daniella in general? Who knows.)
Saori Aizen; I am sorry, but you’re a fool Daniella! As I sit here and allow the garbage out of your mouth to continue piling up, I am not going to allow such a big, pathetic oaf to continue to treat me like an idiot. You have no idea who you are dealing with! You treat this as some stupid game, going off circumstances that just aren’t true anymore. You can be my judge, but you cannot judge me when you’re looking at old concrete evidence. The cracks that were in my armor have been broken out as much as I possibly could break them, you are the only reason for those dents! I could be so much further. You are the sole reason for so much being wrong. Just with one simple chance to end you, In would hop at the opportunity. To be content with everything, to be happy in that little space in my head, it all comes at your disregard, seriously.
(Saori Aizen just speaking about Daniella gave off a stressed demeanor, as she just wanted to be done with her. Daniella just listened and laughed.)
Saori Aizen: I want to be done with you, finished with you completely. You have no idea who you’re dealing with this time around, I have changed for the better, I know my potential.
Daniella Atlas: Really dear? Mon dieu, mighty rich coming from you. But you know something, I have tried to warn you over and over again, it gets old at some point. I can’t continue to warn you over and over, this is your own vice now. You did this to yourself, dear. Anything that happens from this point forward, it’s all your fault. There is only one way to settle this.. you and me both can put grievances aside for a second to notice that as well, Saori.
(Saori nodded her head, they both were in agreement of one thing here..)
Saori Aizen: You are exactly right, there is only one way to solve this problem between myself and you, and it comes at one event.. Pain For Pride..
Daniella Atlas: Exactly.. that is exactly what it has come down to..
Saori Aizen: Yes…
Daniella Atlas: ….
Saori Aizen: …..
(SUDDENLY A BRAW WOULD BREAK OUT BETWEEN THE TWO OF THEM, AS SAORI AIZEN AND DANIELLA ATLAS WERE THROWING ONE ANOTHER AROUND THE ROOM! Daniella was backed into a way, but she pushed Saori forward, and booted her in the face! Saori fell back on a production crate..)
Daniella Atlas: I’ll see you at Pain For Pride then.
(Daniella turned around— CRASH! SAORI TOSSED A CHAIR INTO DANIELLA’S BACK! Daniella groaned in pain as she went down, Saori was back up to her feet now!)
Saori Aizen: This will not end by the way of your hand.
(Saori made her way over towards Daniella, WHO QUICKLY GOT UP! DANIELLA PICKED SAORI UP AND SLAMMED HER AGAINST THE WALL! Daniella was angry, as she took a step back, Saori still trying to fight at her— BUT DANIELLA THREW A TRASH CAN AT SAORI AIZEN! Saori tumbled down, as Daniella once again was standing tall..)
Daniella Atlas: Still alive?
(Daniella kicked her with her foot… Saori Aizen did not move, Daniella nodded with a smirk.)
Daniella Atlas: Such a fool for trying to fight me.
(Daniella clapped her hands together as she turned around, feeling vindicated. She made her way off.. BUT NO! SAORI HAD BEEN FAKING IT! SHE SPRUNG FORTH FROM BEHIND AS SHE HIT A DROPICK TO THE KNEE OF DANIELLA! DANIELLA WENT DOWN.)
Saori Aizen: Such a fool..
(Saori Aizen grabbed a chair, as she put it on the chest of Daniella Atlas.. Saori looked at a production crate near them, taking a deep breath.. BEFORE HITTING DANIELLA WITH A CHAIR ASSISTED HORIZION OF THE CAPTIVATING SKANDHA!! DANIELLA GOES DOWN AND SAORI SACRIFICED HERSELF FOR THE UP AGAINST HER OPPONENT!)
Stew-O: Saori Aizen and Daniella Atlas just RIPPED into one another from our backstage feed, as neither woman is standing tall to show for it!
Flannery McCoy: That was an all out war if I have ever seen one! Daniella and Saori are destroying one another.
Jake Mercer: But look, Saori is climbing back to her feet! Somehow she is mustering some extra energy!
(Saori climbed to her feet with the assistance of a crate near her, looking at Daniella on the ground, she breathed heavily and nodded to herself.)
Saori Aizen: You needed this warning Daniella, this will come true at Pain For Pride.
(Saori outsmarted and took down Daniella, and the final shot was her looking in, very vindicated as Dynasty went elsewhere.)
(Friday Night Dynasty returns as ‘Clash of the Gods [EPIC VERSION]’ by Carameii plays through the speakers as BRAE makes his way around the ringside area, adjusting the suit that he has on with a smirk on his face as Stephie Love is seen standing by.)
Stephie Love: The following non-title singles match is scheduled for…
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘RUNITUP’ by Tyler, The Creator ft. Teezo Touchdown begins to play through the speakers of the arena as Cosmo Goldworthy is seen making his way out from the backstage area with a determined look on his face. He takes a moment to embrace the atmosphere before then beginning to make his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first… from The Golden State… weighing in at 220 pounds… ‘THE GOLD STANDARD OF EAW’… COSMO GOLDWORTHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(‘Invincible’ by Pop Smoke begins to play through the speakers of the arena as the Interwire Champion Chris Elite begins to make his way out to the stage. He takes his title and raises it into the air before then beginning to make his way down toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: And his opponent… from Brooklyn, New York… weighing in at 210 pounds… he is the EAW INTERWIRE CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!! ‘GAWD GIVEN GREATNESS’… CHRIS ELITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: The bell has rung, and here we go! Cosmo Goldworthy gets one of the biggest opportunities that he can get on the road to Pain For Pride as he goes up against the Interwire Champion! Chris Elite is in action with his future title defense, BRAE, watching from the ringside area.
Flannery McCoy: AND IMMEDIATELY COSMO RUSHES OUT OF HIS CORNER AND GOES FOR A RUNNING BOOT TO THE FACE- But Chris manages to move out of the way of that as Cosmo falls backward into the corner instead! He tries to recover, ONLY FOR CHRIS TO STEP FORWARD AND CONNECT WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP STRAIGHT TO THE CHEST, WHICH LIGHTS HIM UP! He then follows that up with a Snapmare, which sends him down to a seated position, FOLLOWING THAT UP WITH A KICK STRAIGHT TO THE SPINE!
Jake Mercer: Cosmo immediately rolls himself under the bottom rope and out of the ring, trying to get himself out of trouble before it’s too late. But Chris has other plans as he turns around and runs the ropes and back, BEFORE LAUNCHING THROUGH AND GOING FOR A SUICIDE DIVE TO TAKE HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND!
Stew-O: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO STEP UP AND CONNECT WITH A FIST RIGHT TO THE FACE AS CHRIS IS HALTED MID-MOVE! He’s draped over the middle rope as Cosmo quickly shoves him back into the ring, he then climbs up onto the apron and sets him up, BEFORE LEAPING UP AND CONNECTING WITH A SLINGSHOT FRONT FLIP SENTON! COSMO THEN QUICKLY HOOKS THE LEG AND GOES FOR THE EARLY PIN ATTEMPT!
OOONNNEEE!!!
Flannery McCoy: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO KICK OUT JUST IN TIME! Cosmo gets back up to his feet and goes to continue his attack, BUT CHRIS GETS UP TO HIS KNEES AND MANAGES TO SWIPE THE LEG, DROPPING HIM DOWN ONTO HIS BACK AND PINNING HIM INSTEAD!
OOONNNEEE-
Jake Mercer: BUT AN EASY KICKOUT BY COSMO GOLDWORTHY AS HE PUSHES AWAY AND RISES BACK UP TO HIS FEET! Cosmo manages to recover as Chris gets back up at the same time, AND HE RUSHES TOWARD HIM AND GOES FOR A CLOTHESLINE- But Chris manages to duck under that! Cosmo then rushes toward the ropes, BEFORE USING THE MOMENTUM AS HE SPRINGS OFF OF THEM-
Stew-O: BUT CHRIS RUSHES FORWARD AND SHOVES HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE AS HE LEAPS ONTO THEM! Cosmo tumbles but manages to grab on as he lands on the apron. He quickly rises as Chris takes a moment to catch his breath, before he turns himself around and looks to knock him off! BUT COSMO MANAGES TO CONNECT WITH A ROPE-ASSISTED ENZUIGIRI STRAIGHT TO THE FACE, WHICH SENDS HIM BACKWARD! The Interwire Champion is bringing the fight, but Cosmo is doing a good job fighting off the storm as best as he can right now in the opening minutes!
Flannery McCoy: Cosmo then turns around and begins to make his way up to the top rope! He positions himself, AS HE TRIES TO LEAP OFF AND GO FOR A CROSSBODY TO TAKE CHRIS ELITE DOWN TO THE GROUND!
Jake Mercer: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO STOP THAT JUST IN TIME! HE RISES TO HIS FEET AND LEAPS UP ONTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE, GRABBING HIM AS HE FLIPS HIM OVER AND DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS WITH A AVALANCHE SPANISH FLY! BOTH OF THEM ARE DOWN, BUT IT’S CHRIS WHO MANAGES TO THROW HIS ARM OVER HIM AND TRY FOR ANOTHER PIN ATTEMPT!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTTWWWWOOOO-
Stew-O: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO KICK OUT OF THAT! Both of them are laying it on the line right now; it’s clear that they both want to win this match, especially the Champion, as his challenger is watching on.
(BRAE has his arms crossed as he watches the early part of the action begin to unfold, he’s nodding his head, quite impressed with the showing that he gets a front row ticket to.)
Flannery McCoy: Chris is slowly beginning to make his way back up to his feet, knowing that he’s going to have to do more if he wants to put down Cosmo Goldworthy for good. He can look down at him for his inexperience and his naivety, but one thing is certain: the fact that he has a lot of heart, and he’s going to show it. Chris turns around and runs to the ropes and back-
Jake Mercer: But before he can completely rebound, COSMO MANAGES TO GET BACK UP TO HIS FEET AND LEAP INTO THE AIR, CONNECTING WITH A HIGH KNEE STRAIGHT TO THE FACE, WHICH LEAVES HIM COMPLETELY ROCKED AGAINST THE ROPES! Chris is stunned and pauses right in his place, which gives Cosmo the chance to run to the opposite side of the ring and back, trying to gain momentum- BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO RUSH TOWARD HIM INSTEAD AND LEAP INTO THE AIR, CONNECTING WITH A KNEE RIGHT TO HIS FACE, WHICH LEAVES HIM ROCKED!
Stew-O: Cosmo is stunned now, and this gives Chris the chance to take advantage as he grabs hold of his wrist and sends him toward the ropes- No! Cosmo manages to turn it around as he sends him into an Irish whip of his own! Chris rebounds, BUT MANAGES TO LEAP INTO THE AIR AS HE TAKES HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND WITH A HURRICANRANA!
Flannery McCoy: Cosmo rolls up to a kneeling position, and this allows Chris to make his way up to his feet and strike, AS HE RUSHES TOWARD HIM AND GOES FOR A RUNNING KNEE STRIKE DIRECTLY TO HIS FACE- But Cosmo manages to push that out of the way! Chris spins around, AS COSMO LEAPS UP AND CONNECTS WITH A HIGH KNEE! Chris staggers back as he tries his best to recover, but Cosmo is already approaching him as he rushes him!
Jake Mercer: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO GRAB HIM JUST IN TIME AS HE GOES FOR THE SISTER ABIGAIL! ‘DEAD ROSES’ TO COSMO GOLDWORTHY TO TAKE HIM DOWN AND POTENTIALLY WIN HIM THIS MATCH!
Stew-O: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO SPIN OUT OF IT BEFORE SPINNING AROUND AND CONNECTING RIGHT ACROSS THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK! Chris is hurt, and he tries his best to recover, but it looks like Cosmo is going to do what he can to stop that from happening!
Flannery McCoy: AS HE SPINS AROUND AND ATTEMPTS ‘READY TO DIE’! THE TORNADO KICK RIGHT TO THE FACE OF THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION TO TAKE HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND AND HOPEFULLY GAIN SOME MOMENTUM IN THIS MATCH!
Jake Mercer: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO DUCK UNDER THAT AND MOVE OUT OF THE WAY! HE THEN GRABS HIM AND ROLLS HIM UP INTO A SCHOOLBOY PIN! THE REFEREE SLIDES DOWN AND STARTS THE COUNT!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!!
Stew-O: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO KICK OUT OF THAT JUST IN TIME! Both of them make their way up to their feet, BUT IT’S CHRIS WHO MANAGES TO RUSH FORWARD AND CONNECT WITH A RUNNING BIG BOOT RIGHT TO THE FACE! Cosmo falls against the corner, and this gives Chris the chance to recover before getting back on the chase, AS HE RUSHES FORWARD AND GOES FOR A RUNNING CLOTHESLINE RIGHT TO HIS FACE- BUT THAT DOESN’T HAPPEN, AS COSMO MANAGES TO STEP BACK AND CONNECT WITH A BACK ELBOW!
Flannery McCoy: Chris falls toward the center of the ring, and this gives Cosmo the chance to make something happen here, AS HE GRABS A HOLD OF THE ROPES AND LEAPS OFF OF THEM, GOING FOR AN ASAI DDT TO DROP CHRIS ELITE DOWN TO THE GROUND!
Jake Mercer: But before he can completely execute it, Chris manages to bring his leg up and connect with a knee to the head, which forces Cosmo to let go of him! Chris then turns himself around, AS HE LEAPS INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTS WITH A BICYCLE KICK STRAIGHT TO THE FACE! This lands flush against Cosmo as he staggers backward and falls against the ropes, and now Chris is going for something here, AS HE RUSHES FORWARD AND CONNECTS WITH A CLOTHESLINE WHICH SENDS HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE-
Stew-O: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO PULL THE TOP ROPE DOWN AND SEND HIM OVER AND DOWN TO THE RINGSIDE AREA! Chris takes a hard tumble on the floor as Cosmo makes his way to his feet, the Interwire Champion begins to make his way back up, and now Cosmo is gaining momentum as he turns around and runs to the ropes and back, LEAPING OVER AND TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A TOPE CON HILO!
Flannery McCoy: Cosmo manages to make his way back up to his feet, as he grabs hold of Chris and begins to set him up, AS HE THROWS HIM RIGHT INTO THE BARRICADE! Chris gives a cry of pain, and this gives Cosmo a chance to grab him, AND SLAMMING HIM AGAINST THE EDGE OF THE RING APRON-
Jake Mercer: But Chris manages to hold his hands out and block him! He manages to rear his arm back and connect with a hard elbow straight to the face, which forces him backward! Chris then turns around and grabs a hold of him, BEFORE RUNNING HIM FORWARD AND CONNECTING WITH A RAM RIGHT INTO THE BARRICADE!
Stew-O: Cosmo is hurt and Chris rolls him under the bottom rope and into the ring, he turns around and it seems like he’s face-to-face with his challenger at Pain For Pride, and this is a heated moment between the two of them.
(BRAE is calm and collected as he gets into the face of Chris, and it’s clear that he’s not very interested in starting drama with him. Chris is talking trash with a smirk on his face, before shaking him off and turning around, rolling himself back into the ring.)
Flannery McCoy: BRAE makes his way into the ring, and it looks like he’s about to follow that up!
Jake Mercer: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO GRAB A HOLD OF HIM AS HE GETS UP AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH ‘MONEY TALKS’! THE UNPRETTIER CONNECTS AS CHRIS GETS FACEPLANTED RIGHT DOWN TO THE GROUND! AND NOW COSMO IS ROLLING HIM OVER AND HOOKING THE LEG AS HE GOES RIGHT FOR THE PIN!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHRRRR-
Stew-O: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO KICK OUT! The Interwire Champion manages to live another day and Cosmo clearly doesn’t look happy about that. He was taking advantage of the unintentional distraction by the challenger but it seems like it wasn’t enough, and now Cosmo is making his way up to his feet and beginning to climb up to the top rope. He knows that he’s close, and he’s going to take advantage of the situation while he has the opportunity, with Chris having not moved since the kick out!
Flannery McCoy: Cosmo is on the top rope and it’s time! AS HE LEAPS OFF!
Jake Mercer: GOING FOR ‘COSMOLOGY’! THE SHOOTING STAR PRESS!
Stew-O: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY JUST IN TIME! Cosmo manages to land on his front as he rises back up to his feet, AND CHRIS TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THAT AS HE GRABS A HOLD OF HIM AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH ‘DEAD ROSES’! THE SISTER ABIGAIL CONNECTS AS HE ROLLS HIM OVER AND HOOKS THE LEG! AND HE’S TRYING TO TAKE IT!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRREE-
Flannery McCoy: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO KICK OUT! And now Chris is taking advantage of the situation as he grabs a hold of him and brings him up to his feet, and now he’s looking to put the exclamation point on this!
Jake Mercer: AS HE GOES FOR ‘HOURS IN SILENCE’! THE REVERSE GTS!
Stew-O: BUT COSMO MANAGES TO FLIP OVER AND LAND ON HIS FEET! HE LEAPS INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTS WITH A SUPERKICK TO THE FACE BEFORE TURNING AROUND AND RUNNING TO THE ROPES!
Flannery McCoy: AS HE LEAPS OFF AND GOES FOR ‘DANCE MACABRE’! THE SPRINGBOARD DDT TO SPIKE HIM DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS!
Jake Mercer: BUT CHRIS MANAGES TO CONNECT WITH ‘OPEN YA MATA’! OUT OF MID AIR! THE BICYCLE KNEE CONNECTS RIGHT ACROSS HIS FACE WHICH SENDS COSMO DOWN TO A KNEELING POSITION, AND NOW CHRIS IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THIS AS HE ROLLS UP TO HIS FEET AND RUSHES FORWARD!
Stew-O: AS HE LEAPS INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTS WITH THE ‘BOX OFFICE SMASH’! THE HOUSE CALL RIGHT TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD TAKES HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND AND NOW COSMO ROLLS HIM OVER AND HOOKS THE LEG! GOING FOR THE PIN!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘Invincible’ begins to play through the speakers as Chris Elite makes his way to his feet. The referee takes the Interwire Championship as he hands it over to him, before raising his hand into the air as the crowd cheers loudly for him. He turns over and looks at BRAE who is applauding him, but Chris starts trash talking him as he continues to raise his title in the air.)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner… the EAW INTERWIRE CHAMPION!!!!! CHRIS ELITE!!!!!!!!!!
Flannery McCoy: Big win by Chris Elite against a tough opponent in Cosmo Goldworthy. Cosmo gave it his all, but when it came down to it, it was Chris who managed to come out on top with his hand raised in the air.
Stew-O: And it looks like Chris is thoroughly amused by the prospect of himself getting a big win in front of his Pain For Pride opponent, trying to indicate to him that this is a preview of what is to come. Congratulations to Chris Elite!
(Chris drops down and rolls out of the ring, getting into the face of BRAE and continuing to raise his title. BRAE looks intense as he looks ready to go right now, both of them showing their passion as it’s the very last shot seen before Friday Night Dynasty begins to fade to elsewhere.)
(A commercial plays for Pain for Pride 18.)
Stephie Love: The following is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Daisy’ by Ashnikko hits the PA speakers, and the camera pans over to Mia Santoro entering through the crowd. She tries to tag a plethora of fans, but many are uninterested and entirely booing her. Santoro smirks, climbing over the barricade and entering the ring to pose.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first, from Key West, Florida, weighing in at 115 pounds, she is “THE OBSESSION” MIA! SANTORO!
Stew-O: After failing to qualify for the Cash In The Vault match, Mia Santoro has got some work cut out for her as it pertains to showing where she stands so close to Pain For Pride.
Jake Mercer: Without a doubt. We all know how capable Mia is, but she’s gotta step up and prove that. What better way to do so than a win tonight?
(Mia’s theme is drowned out by the sound of ‘Let Me Hear’ by Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Saori Aizen emerges from the back, her movements frantic as ever. She doesn’t bother entertaining the reactions of the crowd, but instead has her eyes locked on her opponent, as she slides in and poses at the middle rope.)
Stephie Love: Her opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing in at 130 pounds, “THE REAPER” SAAOOORRRRRIIIIIIII!! AIIIIIIZZZZZZZEEEEENNNNNNNN!!!
Flannery McCoy: Meanwhile, a loss is the last thing Saori Aizen needs with Daniella on her back. Last week she saw Daniella pick up the win against Cosmo Goldworthy, and it would be good for her to do the same against Santoro.
Stew-O: As long as she’s focused on the match. It’s a cliche, by this point, but if you’re not worried about your opponent you can pay for it. Santoro doesn’t have nearly as much to lose as Aizen does. Saori needs to keep that in mind.
(DING DING DING!)
Jake Mercer: Saori and Mia both circle around the ring as this match gets off to a start. Saori swings a collar & elbow tie-up, but Mia ducks underneath and grabs her by the waist. She scoops her up high in the air, but Saori swings into an armdrag! Nice transition from Aizen, who now holds Santoro into a kneeling armbar. Mia’s got nowhere to go as Saori puts in a lot of torque on that armbar, doing everything that she can to try and hurt her arm and perhaps set her up for the rest of this match.
Stew-O: Santoro slowly makes her way up, gritting her teeth. Aizen transitions to a wrist lock, but that doesn’t deter Mia. Instead she runs forward, leaping to the top rope and backflipping off the ropes, landing beautifully onto her feet and transitioning into an armdrag of her own! She scrambles for Saori’s arm, but Saori quickly rolls to her knees and then up to her feet—doing all that she can to escape the tight grip of Aizen. Santoro swings underneath, grabbing Saori into a tight waist lock. She reaches for the ropes, struggling to get free.
Flannery McCoy: Saori drops down and now grabs Mia into a waist lock of her own. The two run to the ropes, but Mia hangs on and Saori’s attempts of an O’Connor Roll are thwarted. Saori is back up to her feet and turns into a nice dropkick from Mia! Saori is back up and Mia with another one, nope! This time Saori saw it coming and she catches the legs, double legging Mia. She floats over into a boston crab, sitting down on the back of Santoro! Mia grits her teeth, yelling out. We’re still early into this bout though, Santoro has plenty of energy to push up and start twisting herself—
Jake Mercer: Aizen tries to sit back on the hold, but Santoro uses pure lower body strength to flip Saori overhead onto her back! Saori wheezes, slowly rising. Santoro is up, clutching at her back. She swings a side kick to the body, which stuns Aizen. Mia hits off the ropes, but here comes Saori with a drop toe hold! Santoro falls onto her face and Mia once again off the ropes, looking for a sliding dropkick! Saori evades it and Mia skids up to her feet, Saori leaps onto her shoulders and takes her down with a beautiful frankensteiner! Legs hooked for the cover!
ONNNNEEEEEEEEE!!
Stew-O: Only a one count, but Santoro’s kick out pushes Saori back up to her feet. A mistake for Mia, who rises to her feet but as she does, Saori is already leaping to the middle rope for a springboard crossbody! She’s rolling right now, as she calls Mia up. Mia swings for Saori, who ducks under and hooks the arm. She grabs the other one and lifts her up for a dragon suplex, right on the back of her head! Mia rolls over, clutching at the back of her head. She kicks her legs on the canvas, wincing out in pain. Saori rises to her feet, raising a fist up in the air.
Flannery McCoy: Mia slowly rises and here comes Saori off the ropes for a clothesline to the outside—no! Mia ducks under and clotheslines Saori over the top rope to the apron! Aizen barely lands onto her feet and Mia hits off the ropes just in time, NO! Enzuigiri from Saori stuns her! She staggers to the turnbuckles and begins to climb up. Saori waits for Mia, flying into a missile dropkick! NO! Mia backsteps it and catches the legs in a double leg takedown, just like Aizen did to Santoro earlier! Both women learning from each other, as Mia floats over into a jackknife pinfall!
OONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!
TWWWWWWWWWW—
Jake Mercer: Saori barely kicks out! Mia kneels up, shaking her head. She’s contemplating complaining to the referee about that count, but decides against it. Saori rises and pulls Mia up by the hair. She kicks her in the gut and tucks her head into her thighs, hooking the waist and lifting her up in powerbomb position. No! Mia starts throwing punches to the head of Aizen, and she takes her down with a hurricanrana! Aizen holds her back, rolling to her knees. Mia is already up to her feet, wasting no time.
Stew-O: Mia charges forward, blowing Saori off guard with a shotgun dropkick to the chest! It indeed sends Aizen flying across the ring, sprawled out on the canvas. Mia slaps the mat, feeling fired up now! Aizen rolls to the apron, holding at her chest. Mia is now hitting off the ropes, trying to knock Saori off again! But Saori pulls the middle rope down and Santoro flies to the floor! Not a nice landing at all, and Aizen is already preparing herself for attack! Mia slowly rises, groaning out in pain.
Flannery McCoy: Here we go! Saori springboards up—no! Mia captures the legs just in time! She tries to pull Saori down to the canvas, but Saori kicks her away! Mia is still after her like a pest, and Saori cracks her across the jaw with a superkick from the apron! That stuns Mia, sending her staggering away from Saori, who now takes the ropes and springboards up for a PICTURE PERFECT MOONSAULT PLANCHA ONTO SANTORO, the ‘HORIZON OF A CAPTIVATING SKANDHA!’
Jake Mercer: Typically that ends Saori’s matches in the ring, but that outside variant is just as effective! Both women are laid out on the ground, taking their time to recover. Saori definitely took a lot of energy to put Santoro down and she’s trying to get that back on the floor—though only so much time can be spent laying out here with Santoro in a compromised position!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!
FOUR!
FIVE!
Stew-O: Finally, Saori is up to her feet and she pulls Santoro up, throwing her into the ring before the count of six. Aizen climbs up onto the apron, making her way over to the turnbuckles. She begins to climb up the ropes and transition herself to the top rope, her back facing Santoro. She nods her head, wasting no time! ‘HORIZON OF A CAPTIVATING SKANDHA!’ AGAIN, THIS TIME IN THE RING!!
Flannery McCoy: NO! Santoro raises her knees up just in time! Aizen rolls away, holding at her ribs! She took too long and paid for it! Mia rolls over, groaning. She uses the ropes to slowly rise, but she’s staggering and falling all over the place, still rocked from the springboard attack on the floor! Aizen is hurting but she finds a way back up to her feet… She staggers towards Santoro, who scoops her up into tilt-a-whirl position and DROPS her with a gutbuster!
Jake Mercer: Mia isn’t done just yet though, she hooks the body of Aizen, hooking her into wheelbarrow position and spinning to the center of the ring, planting her with a wheelbarrow facebuster! Beautifully executed, that targets both the face of Aizen and her body! Santoro rolls her over, pulling the legs overhead for the cover, with the shoulders pressed to the canvas! The referee slides to the count!
OOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Stew-O: Only for Saori to kick out! How close was that?! Mia slaps the mat, looking at the referee in anger. These two women are willing to do whatever it takes for the win, but Santoro needs to calm herself. Saori rolls over, wheezing out in pain. Mia approaches her, pulling her back up to her feet. She wraps her arm around her leg and places her hand around the neck of Aizen, looking to hoist her up for an exploder suplex! But Saori stalls it just in time!
Flannery McCoy: She drives an elbow to the side of Santoro’s head! Aizen with another elbow! And then she spins out, hooking the arms in a full nelson! She wants a dragon suplex—but Mia runs backwards and slams Saori into the turnbuckles! Saori stumbles out, falling to her knees. She leans against the ropes, and now it’s Mia coming off the ropes at high speed! But Saori bounces back up to her feet with a ROUNDHOUSE KICK! Mia falls to a knee, and Saori bounces off the ropes now, feeling the energy running through her!
Jake Mercer: ‘RAIMEI HAKKE!’ THE BICYCLE KNEE TO THE—NO! Mia rolls out of the way! She pulls Saori down with a schoolboy rollup, but Saori rolls through to her feet! Mia rises quicker than Saori though! She jams her head into her thighs and quickly hoists Saori up in powerbomb position! Saori wags her head, trying to fight it! She’s throwing punches at Mia’s head, and tries to bring her down with a hurricanrana!
Stew-O: It only results in Saori dangling upside down, though! Mia refuses to release Saori! She instead scoops her back up and PLANTS her in the center of the ring with a damning powerbomb! AND THEN SHE FOLLOWS UP WITH A DOUBLE FOOT STOMP TO THE FACE! ‘FORGET ME NOT!’ THE COMBINATION CONNECTS, AND SAORI IS NEAR UNCONSCIOUS! Mia falls on top of her, hooking the legs for the cover! That may very well be it!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR—
Jake Mercer: Close call, but AIZEN KICKS OUT! Santoro sits up, running her hands through her hair. I mean, she’s well within her rights to feel exasperated right now. Saori refuses to stay down and I’m not sure what more Mia can do about that. She rises to her feet, seeing Saori still laid out on the canvas. She looks to the top rope and now those thoughts are running through her brain, Mia’s gonna have to act quick though…
Stew-O: She steps out to the apron and places a boot on the middle rope, and then ascends to the top rope. Santoro adjusts herself, looking down at Saori on the floor. She nods her head, perched up top! Aizen is still down on the canvas, and SANTORO SETS UP FOR ‘CHASE THE FEELING!’ DIVING LEGDROP OFF THE TOP ROPE!
Flannery McCoy: BUT SAORI JOLTS UP TO HER FEET AT THE LAST SECOND! She throws her body at the ropes and Mia loses her balance, falling and getting crouched up on the top rope! That absolutely had to have hurt! Mia cries out in agony, and Saori throws a powerful palm strike to the jaw that sends spit flying into the front row! I don’t know about that one either! Saori climbs to the middle rope and grabs Mia by the head, throwing repeated forearms to the jaw. Mia covers up to the best of her ability, but Saori is just battering her with these shots to the jaw.
Jake Mercer: Now Saori is beginning to climb onto the top rope, but Santoro throws a punch to the body! She throws another one, and then headbutts Aizen right in the gut! Aizen staggers, and Santoro takes her by the head and starts throwing all types of punches to the head! Saori covers up, and now Santoro is beginning to rise out of her seated position and now standing on the top rope along with Saori….
Stew-O: Aizen won’t stay down though! She’s throwing all types of forearms to the jaw of Santoro! Both of these women are trading blows at the top rope, and this isn’t looking good at all! Santoro winds back a big forearm, but Saori moves her head just in time and it gets caught over her shoulder! Saori looks back and takes a deep breath, preparing for the worst, meanwhile Santoro is trying everything in her power to try and get out of this!
Flannery McCoy: SHE CAN’T, THOUGH! AND SAORI LEAPS OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH MIA IN HER POSSESSION! AVALANCHE SPANISH FLY!!! BOTH WOMEN GO CRASHING RIGHT TO THE CANVAS! WHAT A MOVE FROM AIZEN! THAT HAD TO HAVE KNOCKED ALL OF THE WINDOW OUT OF SANTORO! She’s not moving at all, but Aizen isn’t done just yet!
Jake Mercer: She slowly staggers up to her feet, and scoops Mia up from the canvas! She grabs the waist of Santoro and she flips her upside down! Santoro weakly flails her legs, but there’s hardly any power left in them after being launched off the top rope in that fashion… ‘CLOSING FRANTICA!’ THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER, RIGHT ON THE TOP OF SANTORO’S HEAD! And she’s left her in the drop zone—in perfect position for you know what!
Stew-O: We all know what comes next! Aizen was looking for it earlier but here’s her perfect position now! Saori takes the middle rope and slowly climbs up, perching herself atop the ropes! Santoro is not moving, and all Saori needs to do now is make the big leap off the top… ‘HORIZON OF THE CAPTIVATING SKANDHA!!!’ DIVING MOONSAULT RIGHT ONTO THE RIBS OF SANTORO! AND SHE MAKES THE COVER!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner of this match, SSAAOOORRRIIII!! AIIIZZZEEEENNNN!!!
(Saori rises off of Mia, holding at her abdomen for a moment. The referee takes her arm and raises it up high. Saori chuckles, elated to have picked up the win.)
Jake Mercer: Mark that as another victory for Saori Aizen! Mia Santoro showed some strong effort but with Pain For Pride on the horizon, it’s going to be very hard to put her down!
Stew-O: Saori is always looking to make a statement and tonight she did just that. Back to the drawing board for Santoro…
Flannery McCoy: Meanwhile we know who Saori has her eyes set on, Daniella Atlas, who I’m sure was watching tonight’s match.
(A commercial plays for the Persona 4 Remake.)
(Blood, Milk & Sky by White Zombie hits on the PA system. The fans cheer, although a few are quiet; not out of hatred, but rather, out of anxiety as Minerva stalks out, still maintaining that hardened edge that has come to the surface in recent weeks. She makes her way down to the ring.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time, EAW Hall of Famer… “The Black Rose”, MIIIINEEEEERVAAAAAA!
Stew-O: Well, last week did not go in the way Minerva hoped for. She wanted Methuselah to accept her match directly, but he appeared on our titantron and turned her down. Still, there may be hope as this past Voltage, Captain Charisma confronted his longtime friend and laid down the law saying that he was not going to insert himself into the EAW World Championship match. He’s putting the pressure on him, and who knows? Perhaps this will lead to the two of them being able to have a match.
Jake Mercer: Yeah, and if it isn’t the commission of Voltage himself pushing Methuselah in that direction, it would be Minerva herself. No doubt she did not appreciate him looking down on her, regardless of what happened. The last thing Minerva is going to accept is being treated lesser than anyone, especially with the volatile season she’s had. Cracks are surfacing.
Flannery McCoy: I wouldn’t go as far as to say they’re cracks. I don’t think it’s a matter of insecurity. For Minerva, she has dominated many title matches and any bouts where huge stakes are to claim, so going through this season without a title has been jarring for her. She wants to leave a big impression at the least so she can end the season on top and vindicate herself of everything she’s gone through… and it’s been frustrating to deal with when the person she has been eyeing has been ignoring her advances.
Jake Mercer: Okay, but she’s a legend, Flann! She has nothing left to prove to other people!
Flannery McCoy: But that’s the thing—it’s not about proving anything to anyone. It’s about only proving she can still be the best to herself and afford grace to her mind with that sort of peace.
Stew-O: I have to agree. Minerva has done many things, with seldom few things left to check off. This match with Methuselah isn’t about validation from the fans, the company, or even her peers. It’s about testing herself against the one man in this company who has constantly cast his shadow over every era—including hers.
Jake Mercer: I guess I can see it that way. Legacy versus Legacy. Myth versus venom. All about proving who the bigger, dominant icon is in today’s EAW. And who knows? If Minerva does get Methuselah to officially agree to the match himself, this could bring about a seismic shift in the history of our promotion.
(The commentary fades as the camera pans to the ring, where Minerva stands by with a microphone in her grasp. Her theme fades, and she speaks.)
Minerva: I shall cut to the chase. The one thing I do not tolerate is being treated like a fool, and Methuselah thinks that he can do that to me all because of his grandstanding name and presence. However, that isn’t even the most insulting part about this whole thing. For a man who prides himself on power, he has sought to run like a coward. I asked for a war. I asked for a reckoning. And all I got… was a shadow behind a screen telling me no.
(The fans boo, seeing the whole thing the same way. Minerva slowly shakes her head, and her lips press into a thin scowl as she carries on.)
Minerva: He couldn’t even muster the courage to tell that to my face. He thought he could treat me like the gum that gets stuck underneath his overpriced shoes and disrespect me. Yet, I am not a commoner. I am not someone you can overlook. I am Minerva, and I am simply the best here in Elite Answers Wrestling, so for someone like him to not even afford me the courtesy to face me directly, it did enrage me. I feel as though he has gotten far too comfortable getting everything he could ask for and more, settling into his role as chairman, that he has forgotten what it is like bleed for this. Forgotten what it’s like to feel the pressure of the mat against your spine, the burn in your lungs after twenty minutes of survival, the sensation of your legacy being on the line with every heartbeat. Yes, he still wrestles. Yet, he does not earn his way into this grand matches anymore. Just a quick snap—
(SNAP!)
Minerva: —And there it is. Whatever he says, goes. No questions asked.
(She scoffs in disgust.)
Minerva: He has grown soft in that ivory tower. He surrounds himself with reverence and yes-men, convinced that his name alone keeps him untouchable. That chair he sits on? That throne? It’s not made of gold. It’s made of dust, clinging to him like a parasite that feeds off the myth of what he once was. Meanwhile, I have never been afforded that sort of comfort. I haven’t been handed an opportunity. I’ve had to take it, scrape for it, and claw through hell and betrayal and doubt just to breathe in this ring, even with my namesake and even with the legendary career I have been able to amass for myself. I was never propped up ahead of anyone. Yet, despite all of it, I’ve remained. Not out of luck. Not out of nostalgia, but out of hard work and merit: two things that clearly aren’t of any interest to him anymore.
Minerva: It… is a shame. How much he has diluted himself. His petty pursuit of Michael Machina and the EAW World Championship has lulled him down to pure stupidity and arrogance. A man who once claimed to transcend championships is now groveling for one—like it’s a lifeline, like it’s the only thing left that can remind the world he still matters, and in that desperation… he overlooked me. He made the mistake of believing that because I haven’t held gold this season, I’ve been weakened. Forgotten. He tried to treat me like a phase… a footnote… a nuisance… and it not only insulted me but also insulted everything that I have built.
Minerva: I am beneath no one. Not even a man who is heralded as the greatest of all time… yet I don’t even know if it is apropos to refer to him as such anymore. No. See, he is no longer a god. He’s not even a man anymore. He’s a monument: cracked, hollow, and terrified of erosion. He wants to be remembered forever, but not challenged, not touched, and definitely not dismantled by someone like me.
(She smirks.)
Minerva: Yet, all of that hiding and refusal hasn’t been working, has it..? Because even your mate is tired of your games. He isn’t letting you get what you want so easily. Your power here is finite, Methuselah, whether you wish to believe it is or not. That means you can carry on for so long before someone who can very well match up to you or even surpass you comes along…
(She points to herself.)
Minerva: …and then, there is nowhere else for you to go.
(The crowd roars in anticipation as Minerva lowers her hand, her expression ice-cold and defiant. Then—suddenly—the arena lights flicker. The crowd begins to buzz as the titantron sparks to life, cutting Minerva off mid-sentence.)
???: Yet again I am beckoned as my name rings multiple times from the lips of desperation in its flesh.
(Sure enough, it was him again: Methuselah. Unflinching with his gaze and palpable annoyance, the chairman is seated within his office. Minerva’s eyes light up with an enraged fire roaring behind them. He was addressing her, but yet again, he isn’t there in person.)
Minerva: You fool! You dare carry on with this charade again!?
Methuselah: Yes, for my time is precious. Only so much can be given levity here in 2025 A.D., as I am as I am burdened with far greater tasks than indulging a woman scorned by her own reflection.
(The crowd instantly erupts into loud boos as Minerva steps forward in the ring, her jaw clenched, seething.)
Methuselah: You say I fear you. You believe I hide behind screens and status. But the truth, Minerva, is that you mistake relevance for righteousness. You confuse noise with necessity. I don’t respond because I fear you: I respond because your fixation has become… exhausting. Tiresome. Beneath me.
(He folds his hands, his eyes sharp, calculating. Yet, even with the detached expression, there is a smugness to his words—one that Minerva picks up on, judging by the frown she wears.)
Methuselah: What you fail to understand is that I do not owe you anything. Not a match, nor moment. Not even a breath of acknowledgment. You think that by screaming loud enough, pushing hard enough, barking into microphones every week, that I’ll yield and step into your world… but you forget that this is very much still my world. This entire place still operates because of me, and you aren’t going to dictate how I should do things.
(The boos swell again, the audience furious as Minerva shakes her head, almost laughing bitterly.)
Minerva: Then why do you keep showing up? Why are you here, speaking to me again if you’re “above” me? If I’m such an afterthought?
Methuselah: Because when a gnat buzzes long enough in the lion’s ear, it must eventually be swatted… but that is all this is. An irritation. Still, make no mistake about it: I will not step into that ring at Pain for Pride to amuse the likes of you.
(Minerva’s expression darkens to something unreadable—her chest rises and falls rapidly, her hands trembling with rage.)
Methuselah: So scream all you want. Break your fists against the walls of this institution. Bleed for it. Burn for it.
(He leans in, offering one final cold stare into the lens.)
Methuselah: But I will not give you your war.
(And with that, the screen cuts to black. Just gone, abrupt and cold.)
(The arena is stunned. Minerva slowly turns back to the center of the ring, eyes wide, her mouth slightly open, as if even she can’t believe the audacity. Her head tilts… and her teeth clinch together as she shuts her eyes.)
Jake Mercer: :lupe: So much for that, huh…?
Stew-O: Once again, Methuselah makes his presence known, but it wasn’t to give Minerva the answer she was seeking for.
(Minerva shakes her head. Slowly, at first, then it picks up. Erratic.)
Minerva: (off-mic) No. No. No. No. No, no, no, nonononono….!!
(She takes off, storming out of the ring and muttering to herself.)
Flannery McCoy: Oh, dear. This has got to be the most pissed off she’s been in a good while! You just have to wonder if she’s going to take matters into her own hands soon!
Stew-O: That could very well be the case! But we’ll have to wait and see if this leads to anywhere! But don’t go anywhere, folks–Friday Night Dynasty continues after commercial break!
(A commercial plays for Raising Cane’s.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, the following match is a tag team match scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(The Leaving Song Pt. II by AFI began blaring through the speakers, causing loud cheers to emanate throughout the audience; Hans Grayson, full of fire and energy, burst out from the stage curtains with an intensely determined expression on his face. He made his way down the ramp, tagging the fans as he did so.)
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING FIRST! Hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, weighing in at 219 pounds… he is THE FIRE BREATHING DRAGON, HAAAAAAAAAAAANS! GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAYSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Stew-O: We’ve got a star-studded match set for us tonight! Two members of the Cash in the Vault match headed for a collision with a legendary tag team looking for a resurgence with the tag team championships in the near future!
Flannery McCoy: Here we have Hans Grayson, one of the two Cash in the Vault match competitors, and he’s certainly got his work cut out for him in a match like this; while the opposing team is fully in sync with each other through years of tag team competition and their own respective legendary careers, Hans is going to be teaming up with one of his soon to be enemies in a classic ‘can they coexist’ match!
Jake Mercer: We’ve seen Hans Grayson in a ton of these matches before, but it’s always been a coin flip as to whether or not he would be able to overcome a barrier like that; however, with Pain for Pride so close, we can bet that he’ll be doing everything he can to get every bit of momentum possible on the road to the biggest show of the year!
(Sinister Purpose by Creedence Clearwater Revival began blaring through the speakers to a loud mixed reaction as Kirk Redwood sauntered out from behind the stage curtains, doing some shadow boxing as he made his way onto the stage. He gave himself two strikes to the chin, stoking the fires within, as he began storming his way down the ramp towards the ring.)
Stephie Love: AND HIS PARTNER! Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 210 pounds… he is UNKILLABLE, KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRK! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!
Stew-O: And there’s the partner and future adversary in question, Kirk Redwood! Kirk has been through a lot throughout his career but we’ve recently seen him reignited with something not seen often in the world of wrestling; love, not hate!
Flannery McCoy: He rose above the rage and the demons that used to plague his mind, and now he’s become very clear about doing everything he does for the love of his family, especially his daughter! No matter the differences he has with Hans, he’s not going to be looking to take a loss here with his family watching from home!
Jake Mercer: Will he be able to get along with Hans long enough to withstand the pressure that will be coming their way from the opposing team? More importantly, will that temporary alliance be strong enough to actually beat a team as storied as the one that they’ll be facing? He’ll do everything in his power to make it so!
(‘I2I’ by Magnolia Park began blaring through the speakers to huge cheers as Fire and Ice, Raven Roberts and Rex McAllister made their way out from behind the stage curtains onto the stage. They struck their joint pose before smiling at each other and making their way down the ramp, with an intense aura emanating from them.)
Stephie Love: AND THEIR OPPONENTS! Weighing in at a combined weight of 360 pounds… they are RAVEN ROBERTS AND REX MCALLISTER… FIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE! AAAAAAAAAAAAAND! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!
Stew-O: To say that Fire and Ice were pissed off at what happened at Fighting Spirit would be an understatement; after they came inches away from winning the EAW United Tag Team Championships, their match was muddied when Jon Kelton of Elysium swooped in to actually WIN them the match by disqualification… leaving the championship belts themselves with British Invasion!
Flannery McCoy: No matter the justification about his girlfriend, Pandora Paisley, and how he did it all for her, you can’t really say that the anger of Raven Roberts and Rex McAllister is unfounded. We rarely even see Rex lose his cool, but you could tell he was seething with rage when he spoke about what happened last week!
Jake Mercer: They aren’t taking their eyes off the prize, though, and they’re going to be looking to get some momentum tonight as a team as they continue their path to the titles which they are still fully intent on getting! Fire and Ice against Hans Grayson and Kirk Redwood, with nobody willing to budge! Only one team can win, and it’s time to find out which one it’ll be!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Stew-O: And the match is underway! It looks like Raven Roberts and Hans Grayson are going to be the ones starting us off, and I guess that’s pretty appropriate; the “Fire” in Fire and Ice against the Fire Heart of the opposing team, we’ve seen them go head to head before and now they’re going to be running it back!
Flannery McCoy: We’ve got the two fiery wrestlers of the teams making their way out from their respective corners and circling the ring at a brisk and aggressive pace! Not much for feeling each other out here, clearly, as they’re rearing to get this show underway without much delay on either side!
Jake Mercer: It barely takes a few moments for them to suddenly meet up in the middle of the ring, locking up with a collar and elbow tie up that’s a lot more aggressive than some of the ones we see from other competitors; both wrestlers are pushing against each other in a fiery struggle to establish grappling dominance here!
Stew-O: They both look to force each other down onto the canvas, but it just ends up with both of them being forced to a crouched down position as they look to gain leverage against the other! Hans Grayson suddenly slips out of the hold and rises up before reaching back down, catching Raven Roberts by the waist from the side and hoisting her up with a gut wrench lift!
Flannery McCoy: He uses that gut wrench lift to drop her to the canvas with a gut wrench takedown before flipping himself over her body and latching on with a side headlock, but Raven Roberts already plants one of her feet on the canvas as he flipped himself over, not looking to lose favor too quickly!
Jake Mercer: Hans is barely able to apply the side headlock before Raven uses that planted foot to force herself back up to a standing position, getting onto both feet before planting her palm against Hans Grayson’s back and pushing him forward! Before he’s able to be sent running, though, Raven quickly grabs Grayson’s wrist and uses it to yank him right back to her!
Stew-O: That sends Hans right back into the clutches of Raven Roberts, who suddenly bends over and launches the Fire Breathing Dragon overhead with a perfectly executed judo throw! Expertly done by Raven Roberts, who immediately leaps up into the air and lands right on top of Hans Grayson with a front mount ala Lou Thesz before peppering him with a flurry of closed fist punches and forearm smashes!
Flannery McCoy: An intense match so far without a doubt, and Hans Grayson is getting hit by those educated hands of Raven Roberts, but he only withstands it for so long before he slips his legs underneath the frame of Raven Roberts and launches her overhead with a monkey flip! That causes Raven to land on her back with a thud, making her arch her back in pain as Hans Grayson quickly scrambles to his feet, clutching his face in pain as he does after all of those successfully landed strikes from the Bird of Prey!
Jake Mercer: Raven Roberts gets back to her feet almost just as quick, though, and with her fighting spirit ignited, she rushes at Hans Grayson looking to take him down with a clothesline– but Hans Grayson had it scouted, bending over in the nick of time and instead launching her overhead with a back body drop!
Stew-O: Raven Roberts once again gets planted on her back before once again staggering back to her feet, but this time Hans Grayson was ready for her, rushing at her and spinning around her to send her running right into a neutral corner with an Irish whip! She lands with her back against the turnbuckles just for Hans Grayson to meet her with a sudden barrage of lariats to the cornered opponent! He’s even getting in some knife-edge chops to the chest of the Bird of Prey as soon as she tries covering up her head, giving an immense amount of offense to the cornered opponent right here!
Flannery McCoy: That seems to daze her well enough for Hans Grayson to take aim before rushing across the ring and bouncing off the opposite corner with his back before sprinting back at Raven Roberts with increased velocity! The moment he’s within range, he leaps up and launches a running high knee right towards the head of the Huntress– but SHE had him scouted, ducking away before it could connect, leading to Hans Grayson connecting with his knee against the top turnbuckle at maximum velocity!
Jake Mercer: That definitely left a mark, as Hans Grayson staggers away from the corner, hopping on one leg as he holds the other leg’s knee up in pain, clutching it against his chest in an attempt to recuperate! The Huntress isn’t feeling particularly merciful tonight, though, as she gives him no respite before rushing over and grabbing both his head and that hurt leg of his! With incredible smoothness, she launches him overhead with a classic T-Bone Suplex, dropping him on his back like a bag of potatoes!
Stew-O: And just as she does that, she doesn’t even turn around as she begins scaling the corner that she just launched Grayson out of! With the speed of a literal bird, she makes her way all the way to the top rope where she’s perched and measuring up the Fire Breathing Dragon; as soon as Grayson staggered back up to his feet, Raven launched herself off the top, connecting right to the head of the Fire Heart with a top rope missile dropkick!
Flannery McCoy: That was a MASSIVE attack by the Bird of Prey who immediately slides over to where Grayson has fallen and hooks his leg, looking for a pinfall right here!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOO-
Jake Mercer: But Hans Grayson was able to kick out at the two count, refusing to be taken down like that! Raven Roberts is like a woman possessed right now, though, as she doesn’t even waste a second before springing back to her feet and rushing to the ropes before leaping up and landing with both feet on the middle rope to bounce off!
Stew-O: With a springboard off the middle rope, she launches herself right back to the Fire Breathing Dragon and connects with a lionsault on top of all the other offense she’s already levied his way! And AGAIN she hooks the leg, this time hooking both of them, and looks to get the pinfall off of that! The referee slides in for the count!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEE-
Flannery McCoy: Another kick out, but this time it was closer to the three count! We know that Raven Roberts operates off of the fire within her, and there’s no doubt that after what happened at Fighting Spirit, she is ABLAZE and looking to take anybody down! Last time she fought against Hans, the Fire Heart was able to get the better of her, but it looks like she’s about to take him down as she crouches down, measuring him up from the distance for her finishing maneuver, the TALON!
Jake Mercer: Hans Grayson rolls over, perhaps unaware of the danger that he’s in… this may be it! Wait, no, he just barely managed to catch a glimpse of Raven Roberts as she began rushing at him and managed to tag out to Kirk Redwood just in time to avoid the Talon of the Bird of Prey! The unexpected tag out caused Raven to stumble as she tried regaining her footing after having stopped herself from executing Talon, and that gave Kirk Redwood the advantage as he burst out from his corner and capitalized on the confusion by ambushing her with a barrage of strikes!
Stew-O: Punches, elbow smashes, kicks, Kirk Redwood is really laying it into her with vicious intent! Raven suddenly fights back, catching one of Kirk’s strikes before pulling him into a Muay Thai clutch and hitting him with some vicious knee lifts, but that only lasts for a brief moment before Kirk gives her a stiff knee smash to the midsection and then follows up by grabbing her waist and launching her overhead with a Northern Lights suplex!
Flannery McCoy: Raven arches her back in pain as she rolls over, trying to stagger up and get away from Kirk for long enough to regain her footing, but Kirk gives her no leeway as he rushes over and catches her both both legs, forcing her down with a double leg takedown and landing two heavy-handed punches straight to the jaw! That’s all he does before he quickly scrambles back to his feet and drops the knee right to the head of the Bird of Prey!
Jake Mercer: Kirk is showing Hans that he has that fire in him too, and he may be able to take Raven Roberts out right here! He measures up the Huntress before launching himself… at the ROPES! He springboards off of them and looks to take Raven’s HEAD OFF WITH A .50 CAL, THE SPRINGBOARD SUPERMAN PUNCH! BUT RAVEN BARELY MANAGES TO EVADE THE MANEUVER, LEAPING TO REX MCALLISTER AND TAGGING HERSELF OUT! NOW REX IS IN THE FRAY!
Stew-O: Rex McAllister rushes into the ring just as Kirk Redwood turns around to see that the tag has been made, but it’s too late as Rex tackles the Dog of War with the force of a train before using that tackle to hoist Kirk up into the air and plant him down HARD with a spinebuster! We’ve got the technical mastermind in the match now, and Kirk is feeling the pressure!
Flannery McCoy: Rex sends some elbow smashes down to the grounded head of Kirk Redwood, landing two of them… but upon trying the third, Kirk moves out of the way, forcing Rex to elbow smash the canvas! That’s GOT to hurt! Kirk rolls himself over and sends a chop to the FACE of Rex McAllister, certainly an unorthodox maneuver but it does the damage it needed to as Rex scrambles to his feet, feeling the pain from that!
Jake Mercer: Kirk rushes to Rex, before suddenly getting behind him and applying a rear waist lock and hoisting him over to connect with a German suplex! He keeps it bridged, looking to pin Rex McAllister!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Stew-O: But Rex McAllister is able to quickly kick out, though that doesn’t force Kirk to release the hold; instead, he keeps it locked in before dragging Rex back to a standing position and transitioning to a full nelson hold! Kirk goes for a dragon suplex instead, but Rex suddenly frees one of his arms and gives a HEAVY elbow smash to the side of Kirk’s jaw!
Flannery McCoy: That causes Kirk to release the hold, and Rex takes immediate advantage as he performs an overhead belly to belly suplex, once again causing Kirk to drop to the canvas on his back in pain! The Dog of War is barely able to stagger back to his feet before Rex quickly rushes in from behind and hoists him up yet again, this time executing a BACK suplex and dropping him on his upper back and his neck!
Jake Mercer: This isn’t looking good for Kirk Redwood, who’s now using the ropes to try to leverage himself back to a standing position, but Rex McAllister is absolutely ruthless as he connects with a lariat to send Kirk over the top rope! It looks like Rex is about to make chase… but he’s just standing there watching what’s happening at ringside! What’s going on? It looks to have perked Grayson and Raven’s interest too! Is that…
Stew-O: It’s KASAI! SHE’S IN THE CROWD! Kasai seems to be moving closer and closer to the front row seats from the seat she was watching in! Kirk shakes his head in pain before he almost heads back into the ring… but Kasai’s presence was suddenly noticed by the Dog of War! He sees her moving closer and closer towards the front row seats and the barricades, and suddenly turns his attention towards her!
Kirk Redwood: What, you want some?! If you’re here for a fight, I’ll give you a damn fight!
Flannery McCoy: Kasai does indeed get up to the front row and an argument breaks out between Kirk and Kasai! Hans Grayson drops from his corner and runs over to where Kasai and Kirk are arguing, looking to sort it out; suddenly, though, Kasai shoves Kirk as hard as she can, causing him to fall back and bump against Grayson, knocking the Fire Heart over! It’s chaos at ringside here!
Jake Mercer: OH MY GOD! TALON! TALON BY RAVEN ROBERTS WHO JUST JUMPS DOWN FROM THE CORNER HERSELF AND JUST OBLITERATED KIRK REDWOOD WHILE HE WAS DISTRACTED! SHE DRAGS HIM UP AND SENDS HIM INTO THE RING BEFORE DROPPING DOWN AND LATCHING ON A GUILLOTINE CHOKEHOLD ON HANS GRAYSON BEFORE HE COULD MOVE AWAY, NEUTRALIZING HIM IN PLACE WHILE REX MCALLISTER DRAGS KIRK AWAY FROM THE ROPES AND HOOKS THE LEG OFF OF RAVEN’S TALON!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
(‘I2I’ by Magnolia Park began blaring through the speakers once again to loud cheers as Rex McAllister got off of Kirk, raising his arms in victory as he got back to his feet; Raven released her hold and rolled into the ring to join Rex with the victory celebration.)
Stephie Love: Here are your winners… FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND! IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!
Stew-O: It was a fast-paced and chaotic match between the two teams, but the sudden appearance of Kasai cost Kirk and Hans the match!
Flannery McCoy: It was a disadvantageous position to begin with, going up against a tag team with as much synergy as Rex and Raven, who are literally husband and wife and can’t get any closer than they already are!
Jake Mercer: Whatever the set up may have been, Fire and Ice proved that they aren’t going to be backing down as a tag team and get yet another win after their controversial win at Fighting Spirit as they continue to look to acquire the tag team titles! Meanwhile, the Cash in the Vault field is heating up as we just saw here, and we know Hans and Kirk aren’t going to be happy about how that went down!
(The video feed lingered on the celebration of Fire and Ice as Hans and Kirk looked on in disappointment and anger, with Kasai mocking them from the crowd; tension continued to rise between the three of them as the feed faded to black on the image of Rex and Raven holding each other’s hands, raised in victory.)
(A commercial plays for Ulta.)
(‘Saint Pablo’ by Kanye West blares out through the PA system, eliciting a steady choir of boos as Cy Henderson steps out. The EAW World Heavyweight Championship is firmly on his shoulder.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, introducing at this time, EAW Hall of Famer and the current EAW World Heavyweight Champion… CYYYYY HEEEENDEEERRSOOOOOON!!!
Stew-O: Here comes the World Heavyweight Champion, and you can tell just by the look on his face that he is not in a good mood tonight. Cy was caught off guard last week when Joso cleared both him and Drake King from the ring after those two engaged in a clash of words. Joso stood tall, and Cy wasn’t having it.
Flannery McCoy: Cy definitely fell victim last week, but at least by the looks s of things, he’s here to rectify that.
Jake Mercer: Good! He is the champ! He deserves his time. You can’t just come out and disrespect Cy Henderson like that and expect no response! This is his show, damn it! Respect Big Match Cy!
Flannery McCoy: Okay, man.
(Cy climbs into the ring, his music fades out, and the crowd showers him with boos. He raises the title once, then slings it over his shoulder, expression stern as he brings the mic up.)
Cy Henderson: Last week… I mean, what can I even say? To put it plainly, it was pathetic. Not because I got knocked down. No. I’ve been knocked down before, and every time, I rise higher than I ever was. What made it pathetic was the two little children who thought they could steal my spotlight and make my title story about them.
Cy Henderson: Joso, where do I even begin with you? You are beyond arrogant, once again a product of the naivety this new generation of Elitists breeds, and because of the impressive success you have been able to amass, it got to your head. You have done well for yourself. Even with us not seeing eye to eye on things, I have always given you your props. However, you let that praise inflate your ego to the point where now, you walk around like you’re untouchable. You position yourself as some kind of generational miracle when, in reality, you’re a kid who got hot for a season and now thinks the whole company should revolve around him.
(The crowd boos.)
Cy Henderson: But you know what’s funny? Is that how you loved to talk about how I changed, or “switched up” in your words. Yet I watched you go from hungry to entitled in real-time, Joso. I saw the shift. I saw how every “W” turned into another excuse to dismiss those who came before you, those who built this place like me, and the simple fact of that matter is that you don’t respect legacy… You don’t respect what it means to be champion. You just crave the spotlight because, without it, you feel empty. That’s why you had to be desperate and throw in the caveat of you being included in this match because you couldn’t stomach not being a Pain for Pride headliner. Instead of just accepting your loss and moving on, you had to be stubborn and annoying, and now you get to be here when you shouldn’t. At least that’s something Drake and I can agree on… but speaking of whom…
(Cy shakes his head.)
Cy Henderson: Drake King? You have become nothing more than a drama king. Every time I hear you speak, it’s like I’m watching a stage play written by someone who’s convinced their personal crisis is everyone else’s problem. Then again, perhaps I shouldn’t be too surprised you’re this delusional right until the bitter end. At least when I knew things weren’t working, I changed for the better, while you had to go through a whole different identity just to try and make things work, and when that didn’t work, that’s when you decided to try and fool every Elitist here. It is a good thing your talent never disappeared with your sanity, because if you had done all of that only to lose at Grand Rampage? You wouldn’t have even been in this sort of match either.
(The fans react to that dig loudly. Cy’s lip corner tugs up into a smirk.)
Cy Henderson: Both of you have your own faults. Both of you are capable men but are so misguided by your petty and nonsensical ways. However, at this point, I’m not going to waste my time trying to argue with you two anymore. NEITHER of you are walking out of Pain for Pride with the World Heavyweight Championship, and that’s a bitter pill for both of you to swallow—
(Cutting in, ‘When Darkness Falls’ by Killswitch Engage blares out. Cy scowls as he is met with the interruption—and Drake King’s physical presence. One-third of the main event shows up, and with his own microphone, he gets inside of the ring, not at all happy with what he’s had to hear.)
Drake King: Alright, Cy. You can zip it now. Don’t try and paint me out to be the irrational one here when you went out of your way to get involved in that match. Your involvement wasn’t needed. In fact, YOU’RE the one who caused this mess to begin with! If you had minded your business, I could’ve done my job, and Joso wouldn’t have been in this match. However, you messed everything up, and here we are with you having the audacity to stand here and act like you’re the innocent party in all of this. You escalated this. You acted out of ego, not necessity, and now you’re trying to gaslight everyone into thinking you’re just the seasoned vet trying to keep things under control when you’re still a mess and always have been one. It truly is a wonder how this company even allowed you to return, given your penchant to muck things up, but hey, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised things spiraled to this.
Cy Henderson: Whoa now, Drake, you can calm that down. I’m not acting like a martyr or anything. I am concerned about myself and my goals now. I don’t care about redemption or righting any wrongs, so don’t come at me with the faux psychoanalysis and say I’m some kind of a mess. I just care about being a world champion and placating this emptiness that has been gnawing at me for years. That’s all it is.
Drake King: Oh, yeah? Well, Cy, the problem isn’t that you’ve spent your time chasing the championship for the wrong reasons. You admit there’s a void eating away at you, and instead of fixing what’s broken inside, you cling to that title like it’s a band-aid over a bullet wound. You haven’t really changed at all! Yeah, you’re a bit more selfish and don’t care to be the good guy, but that’s not enough. It’s not going to cure your failures. It doesn’t rewrite history. It doesn’t make you whole.
Cy Henderson: I know you aren’t talking…
Drake King: I am, because I have dealt with many Elitists who are just like you, deluding themselves into thinking they’re the new and improved version of themselves when they are nothing more than conceited sycophants who let their own arrogance cloud their judgment—hence why you did what you did back at Fighting Spirit.
Cy Henderson: You’re still on that? Drake, you are such a—
(And right there, ‘LIKE WEEZY’ by Playboi Carti plays.)
Drake King: Oh, are you KIDDING me!? GO AWAY!! YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO SHOW UP WHEN YOU AREN’T WA—
(The crowd’s cheers alone are enough to deafen Drake’s ranting. Joso steps out, laughing at this, but he becomes more serious as he gets closer to the ring. Cy scowls. Eventually, Joso’s theme fades and takes a microphone from ringside before entering the ring.)
Joso: Wow. Woooooooow. Nothin’ but two uncs bickering like they’re playing a heated game of Uno, but I guess in this case? Both of you are playing a game of ‘No U’, because this is SAD! Don’t nobody wanna hear this mess!
Cy Henderson: And no one wants to hear what an arrogant brat has to say.
Joso: 🥱 I don’t know, man—the fans sure as hell do.
Crowd: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Cy Henderson: :cmon:
Drake King: That’s because they’re idiots, and cocky, attention-feeding morons like you enable them to be this way!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Joso: Word? Well then, I’ll be the biggest moron possible, cause I like that—along with becoming a two-time EAW World Heavyweight Champion…
(Joso smirks.)
Joso: And it’ll be before you get that feat for yourself, Mr. King.
(The crowd gags and laughs at that. Drake’s arm swings down, taking the microphone away from his mouth. He is NOT at all appreciative of that quip. However, Cy, rubbing his forehead, breathes out a heavy sigh, cutting in between the quarreling.)
Cy Henderson: No. This is not happening. I don’t have time for this.
(Cy shakes his head, and turns to leave, but Joso—)
Stew-O: JOSO! HE GRABS HIM BY THE WRIST AND SPINS HIM AROUND, DECKING HIM IN THE FACE! CY GOES DOWN, AND THIS IS A REPEAT OF LAST WEEK!
Jake Mercer: Oh, boy! No more words to be shared! Drake gets in and grabs Joso, looking to toss him out of the ring to reciprocate what happened! But Joso counters—and he’s gonna toss him out instead!
Flannery McCoy: Drake lands on the apron! Joso runs in and gets NAILED with a forearm! Drake slingshots in and HITS A KNEE—
Stew-O: ONTO CY HENDERSON!
Jake Mercer: :damn: !! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOT MY SHAAAAAAAAAAAAYLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Stew-O: Drake caught him clean with that, and Joso is on the mat, having evaded that move! He shoots up and grabs Drake! HE’S PULLING HIM IN FOR ‘HEAVEN’S GATE’!!
Flannery McCoy: DRAKE SPINS OUT OF IT! KICK TO THE GUT! HE HOOKS THE LEGS AND SENDS HIM DOWN WITH THE PEDIGREE HE CALLS ‘ASCENSION’!! JOSO IS DOWN!!
(Officials quickly race into the scene, looking to break up the chaos! However, Drake stands tall while Cy and Joso are down! They are helped out of the ring. Drake paces back and forth. Adrenaline continues to course within him from everything before his scheduled match in the main event.)
Stew-O: Well, officials are tending to Cy and Joso, who roll out of the ring, holding their heads! Don’t go anywhere, folks! Dynasty comes back LIVE as Drake King takes on Drake Armstrong in tonight’s main event, coming up NEXT!
(With that, Dynasty fades to the final set of commercials for the evening.)
(A commercial plays for the NBA finals.)
(The camera cuts to Stephie Love in the ring.)
Stephie Love: The following main event contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Pride & Arrogance’ by Takeru Kanazaki can be heard across the speakers as the most polarizing reception can be heard throughout the arena tonight. Drake Armstrong emerges from the back with a cocky expression plastered on his face, amused by the negative energy revolving around his presence due in part to the crowd as he proceeds to step down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first! From Scarsdale, New York, weighing in at 245 pounds…. THE KING OF ELITE… DRAAAAKE, ARMSTRONG!!!
Stew-O: Drake Armstrong has been on quite the season as he’s garnering much of the momentum he expects to bring to the following one to come. A victory tonight can properly accelerate him to higher good, as his opponent tonight is not someone that looks to simply gift wrap a win to Armstrong.
Flannery McCoy: Of course he will need to focus on the victory firsthand rather than believing it’s guaranteed. This is a main event against a very game multi-time Pain for Pride main eventer that truly doesn’t need much introduction, it would be best for Drake Armstrong to be well prepared.
(‘When Darkness Falls’ by Killswitch Engage is heard blaring throughout the speakers, with Drake King making his way out from the back & standing at the entrance ramp with a sly grin on his face. Drake looks outward with his focus intact, the crowd continuing to let their reactions be heard as he would proceed to walk down the ramp.)
Stephie Love: Introducing his opponent! From Heaven’s Gate, weighing in at 220 pounds… 2025 GRAND RAMPAGE WINNER… DRAAAAAAKE, KINGGGGGG!!!
Stew-O: And here we have another elitist who was able to make some more history, as Drake King has his own momentum to look forward to continuously mounting as the accomplished two-time Grand Rampage winner, looking to secure this victory over Drake Armstrong.
Jake Mercer: Drake King can look forward to the future to come where he will have his date with destiny against Cy Henderson & Joso, as victories in bouts like these can only reinforce that much! This will also be a test for the King of Elite to score a big win & some momentum of his own for Pain for Pride!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: And we’re off! The main event of Dynasty has officially begun as we have the battle of the Drakes tonight, with former Interwire Champion Drake Armstrong taking on the two-time Grand Rampage Winner, Drake King! Both men emerge from their respective corners as they each seem to have quite the interesting grins growing across their own faces, this seems to be an outing where we have two elitists that may be in far greater understanding of their respective strengths than we are led to believe. Both men begin to circle around the ring from there, as the pacing remains consistent for each elitist as they look to reach forward and initiate in a collar and elbow tie-ep!
Flannery McCoy: Which is exactly what they each aim for! Armstrong and King are locked in on this tie-up as they do not seem to have any true interest in keeping this on a more methodical basis, as that could certainly benefit either man here! Armstrong is able to abide by the strength advantage as he soon pushes Drake King against the ropes from there! The referee proceeds to count down, as Armstrong maintains this control for as long as he can by exhausting each second to the fullest. Before long, Armstrong has no choice but to separate himself from his opponent as he slowly lifts his own arms upward. He raises his own arms as Drake does the same, with Armstrong sporting a sly grin on his face as he shoves Drake against the ropes for increased vitriol!
Jake Mercer: Drake Armstrong certainly not shying away from trying to get into the head of Drake King in his own regard, as King sports a smirk of his own as he nods along while soon pacing around the ring once more! With the two men keeping this as a fairly traditional state to this match, and Armstrong is now looking to focus back onto Drake King as the two men move forward once more. Armstrong raises his own arms upward as he looks for the collar and elbow tie-up once more–
Stew-O: But Drake King gets his arm around Armstrong’s neck with swiftness! Armstrong is trapped in this headlock as King shakes his own head, maintaining this headlock while Drake has to drop onto a knee, with the referee keeping a watchful eye on Armstrong while he maintains his own stance for as much as he is able to! Drake King continues to reinforce this headlock all the more, with Armstrong’s patience running rather thin as he soon brings himself upward to a finite stance–TO HOIST DRAKE KING UPWARD AND LAND A BACK SUPLEX!
Flannery McCoy: BUT DRAKE HOLDS ON! Drake King maintains himself through this headlock takedown as Drake now finds himself prone against the mat! Armstrong is shaking his own head repeatedly as he refuses to be kept in this state for long, warding off the suppression to the best of his ability as Drake King has managed to maintain this much control in this match despite Armstrong’s attempt to goad him further!
Jake Mercer: Although Drake Armstrong does find himself in a peculiar spot here, he does not refrain from looking to adjust his own body accordingly, as he takes a hold of Drake King’s waISt with an arm–BEFORE SHIFTING DRAKE KING’S WASIT INTO A PIN ATTEMPT WITH HIS SHOULDERS DOWN!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOO!!!!
Stew-O: DRAKE KING KICKS OUT WITH NOT TOO MUCH TROUBLE!! Armstrong is wide eyed as he is now looking to reroute and move back up to his own two feet, rushing toward Drake King with a swift direction as he was able to find a stance for himself first, now rushing toward Drake King is he aims for this BIG BOOT–
Flannery McCoy: BUT DRAKE SWIFTLY MANEUVERS DOWNWARD TO ROLL DRAKE ARMSTRONG UP INTO A PIN OF HIS OWN!! ARMSTRONG IS SCRAMBLING IS HE IS NOW TRYING TO SQUIRM FREE, BUT HIS SHOULDERS ARE STILL DOWN!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOO!!!!
Jake Mercer: NOPE! DRAKE KICKS OUT WITH URGENCY! Armstrong rolls himself backward and upward to his own two feet–BEFORE BEING ROCKED WITH A SUDDEN FOREARM FROM DRAKE KING! Armstrong is sent for a whirlwind as he is now being taken aback by a second forearm that lands directly across his temple, which causes Armstrong to remain staggered! Drake King doesn’t slow down for a second here, as a third forearm follows suit with Armstrong being knocked back into the corner!
Stew-O: There is no slowing down for Drake King by any means, as he continues to apply all of the pressure that he possibly can by continuing to send continuous forearms toward Drake Armstrong, who is trying to block all of the pressure that is being sent his way with every forearm! The referee is counting away as Drake King is refusing to let up just before the count of five, as he backs himself away and rushes toward the opposite corner, before running back toward Armstrong as HE SENDS A RUNNING SINGLE LEG DROPKICK INTO THE CORNER THAT ROCKS ARMSTRONG!
Flannery McCoy: An immense dropkick from Drake King that causes Armstrong to be rocked considerably, as he is now left in quite the daze after stumbling away from the corner where he was being suppressed! Drake King is bringing himself upward, focusing on Armstrong and refusing to let up as he now keeps a hold of Drake, before HOISTING HIM UPWARD AND BEING ABLE TO LAND AN EMPHATIC BUTTERFLY SUPLEX THAT LANDS ARMSTRONG ONTO THE CANVAS!
Jake Mercer: The butterfly suplex from Drake King has absolutely continued to allow him all of the control that he can maintain, as Armstrong is reeling following the suplex! However, Armstrong is still able to roll himself away from Drake King and toward the apron, with Drake having to bring his focus toward Armstrong while he looks to recover from the apron! King walks himself over, taking a firm grasp of Armstrong’s head as he is lifting him upward despite the referee trying to direct him otherwise–
Stew-O: WHICH ALLOWS ARMSTRONG TO PLACE HIS HANDS OVER DRAKE’S HEAD AND PULL HIM DOWNWARD INTO THE TOP ROPE!! Drake is immediately clutching his own throat afterward as he can be seen coughing up quite the sizable storm here! Armstrong is now rushing his way back into the ring while seeing King is in a much more vulnerable state within this match! Armstrong rushes toward Drake King as he has every inkling to take the Grand Rampage Winner DOWN–
Flannery McCoy: AS THE LARIAT FROM ARMSTRONG CAUSES DRAKE KING TO TURN INSIDE OUT!!! An immense display of strength from Armstrong to take Drake King down with authority as he is now quickly rushing toward Drake, hooking the leg for the referee to soon slide himself over to the count!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
T–
Jake Mercer: NOT ENOUGH! Drake King is able to kick out as Armstrong will have to do much more than that! Armstrong shakes his own head as he has a glare toward the referee that will certainly get him scolded for doing so, ‘till returning his gaze back toward Drake King. Armstrong takes a grasp of the head of Drake King, as he proceeds to send repeated punches across the head of King with his opponent remaining largely vulnerable to the attack!
Stew-O: Which seems to show no signs of slowing down here, as Armstrong grins to himself before pulling Drake King forward to yank him directly into a GUILLOTINE CHOKEHOLD! Armstrong has this submission applied as he keeps his own arm wrenching around the neck of Drake King, as Drake struggles to keep himself mobile in this scenario with how Armstrong is maintaining all of his own control from here! Thus can go terribly wrong for Drake King if he does not find his own way out of here!
Flannery McCoy: This choke is being applied with all of the strength that Armstrong has vested within him, as Drake King is refusing to give in to the submission with all of his energy that he has kept in the reserves! Armstrong is repeatedly demanding the referee to ask him, as he does so, yet Drake King is refusing to submit as he soon situates his feet against the mat to remain in a slightly elevated position! Armstrong is wide eyed as Drake King is looking to perform a feat of his own–AS HE IS NOW LIFTING ARMSTRONG FROM OFF THE MAT IN ORDER TO DROP HIM DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS FACE FIRST!
Jake Mercer: AS ARMSTRONG IS SENT ONTO THE MAT! Armstrong immediately clutches onto his own chest as he now looks to bring himself back upward, with Drake King on the move as he sees his opponent has now brought himself up to a stance! Drake king motions toward Armstrong as the former Interwire Champion aims for a swing–WHICH DRAKE KING DUCKS UNDER TO RUSH THE ROPES, WITH ARMSTRONG TURNING HIMSELF TOWARD KING–
Stew-O: INTO A SWIFT SLINGBLADE FROM DRAKE KING!!! ARMSTRONG IS TAKEN DOWN BY THE SLINGBLADE! Drake King rushes himself over toward Armstrong as he soon hooks the leg for the victory!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THR–
Flannery McCoy: STILL NOT ENOUGH! Armstrong is more than capable of kicking out as this match stays alive! Drake King nods to himself, a slight grin as he sees this match will take an ample amount of further efforts to put an end to! Drake King is now bringing himself upward, as he takes hold of Armstrong’s wrist, dragging him closely toward the corner of the ring as he sets him against the bottom turnbuckle!
Jake Mercer: As it looks like Drake King is far more interested in applying as much pressure against Drake Armstrong as possible, now clutching onto the ropes to keep himself situated before sending an emphatic STOMP into the chest of Armstrong! The former Interwire Champion is struggling here as Drake King continues to stomp away, as each meticulous stomp is causing Armstrong to be placed through the pressure!
Stew-O: Although, the referee is counting away on Drake King as well, as disqualification would not be ideal with Pain for Pride looming over the elitist who has main evented the event on multiple occasions. Drake King eventually backs himself from Armstrong, as he gives the referee a brief glance before rushing back toward Drake Armsrong as the multi-time World Champion looks for a swift BOOT–
Flannery McCoy: ARMSTRONG WITH A BOOT TO DRAKE’S KNEE AS HIS OPPONENT FALLS FORWARD INTO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE! Drake King collides with the turnbuckle head first as he is sent for an emphatic daze, shaking his own head vigorously as he looks to keep himself standing in this match! Armstrong is keen on taking advantage however, as he takes hold of Drake King and seeks out another BACK SUPLEX–but Drake lands onto his feet behind Armstrong, with a roundhouse kick across the back of Armstrong’s head that causes him to slump into the corner!
Jake Mercer: Which gives Drake King more than enough certainty to maintain focus over him, looking to continue on all of the offense that he can possibly muster against Drake Armstrong as he soon rushes himself forward and aims for the next manuveur–WHICH ARMSTRONG HALTS WITH A SUDDEN URANAGE THAT SENDS DRAKE KING ONTO THE CANVAS!!! Drake is laid out as Armstrong is now dropping himself onto Drake King and hooking the leg, the referee counts away!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREE–
Stew-O: NO! STILL NOT ENOUGH AS DRAKE KING KICKS OUT!! Armstrong is beginning to feel much of his own frustration set itself in, as he shakes his own head with the doubts beginning to linger within him with how this match has only continued to reinstate much of the desperation that can settle through! The referee is watching on, as Armstrong is now grasping onto Drake King by his hair, tugging him upward and into proper position as he’s looking to place the exclamation mark on this match!
Flannery McCoy: AS THE ‘BOURGEOIS BITE’ IS APPLIED FROM HERE!!! THE ABDOMINAL STRETCH IS LOCKED IN AS DRAKE KING IS IN FOR THE STRUGGLE!! Drake Armstrong is maintaining this patented submission for as long as he possibly can as his opponent is continuously shaking his own head in refusal to this submission! The referee is keeping a sharp watch of Drake King, but the longer that this submission can go the longer it will take for Drake King to recover should he try to escape! Armstrong has all of the bases covered through this submission, refusing to let this go!
Jake Mercer: WITH ARMSTRONG PROCEEDING TO APPLY THE ABDOMINAL CLAW ONTO THE ABDOMEN OF DRAKE KING AS WELL! Armstrong is making the most out of this submission for as long as he can, the strife can be seen etched across the face of the two-time Grand Rampage Winner who is visibly struggling to get himself back into this match! This may have implications for Armstrong coming away from this match with a win over Drake King should this continue–
Stew-O: AS DRAKE STOMPS ONTO THE FOOT OF ARMSTRONG TO CAUSE HIM TO BRIEFLY LET GO–FOLLOWED BY A SUDDEN ENZIGURI THAT STAGGERS DRAKE ARMSTRONG!! Drake King able to make the most out of his own quick thinking as he has Armstrong left in this immense daze for himself! Drake quickly takes hold of Armstrong while he remains immobile, hooking his arms together–TO NAIL ‘ASCENSION’ AS THE PEDIGREE SENDS DRAKE ARMSTRONG DOWNWARD! Drake quickly turns Armstrong over and hooks the leg!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREEEEEEE–
Flannery McCoy: NOPE! ARMSTRONG IS ABLE TO KICK OUT!!! This match continues as Drake King is now sitting himself upward rather quickly, feeling the effects of this match as they roll on! He clutches onto his own abdomen now, moving upwards and toward the ropes in order to pull himself back into a proper stance! With Armstrong beginning to make this crawl, Drake sees his moment… AS HE RUSHES FORWARD FOR ‘JUDGMENT DAY’ HERE–
Jake Mercer: SUDDEN BIG BOOT FROM ARMSTRONG BEFORE DRAKE CAN SIZABLY LIFT HIS OWN FOOT UPWARD FOR A CURB STOMP! Now Drake king is truly dazed from the boot as he’s sent into the ropes, rebounding forward in an immense stumble as Armstrong soon uplifts DRAKE KING–
Stew-O: ‘NATURAL TALENT’ SENDS DRAKE KING BACK DOWN!!! ARMSTRONG HAS DRAKE KING LAID OUT ON THE CANVAS AS HE QUICKLY HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE COVER!!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREEEEEEE–
Flannery McCoy: NO! Drake again with the kick out! Armstrong is growing increasingly desperate, as he now finds himself retreating to the corner, bringing himself upward as he keeps his focus on Drake King! He looks to prepare for the end, as Drake is staggering up with the ‘HALBERD FROM HELL’ ON THE WAY—
Jake Mercer: IMPACT!!! IMPACT WITH SALT TO THE EYES!! ARMSTRONG IS BLINDED BY THE SALT AS THE REFEREE WAS FIXATED ON DRAKE KING CLUTCHING ONTO HIM FOR LEVERAGE! ARMSTRONG IS TRYING TO RUB HIS EYES AS—
Stew-O: ‘GUILLOTINE’ KNOCKS DRAKE ARMSTRONG DOWN!! SICK KICK!!! DRAKE KING RUSHES TO THE COVER!!!
ONEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stephie Love: HERE IS YOUR WINNER…. DRAAAAAKE KING!!!
Jake Mercer: Wow! That’s one way of getting ahead and into the head of your enemies! Impact just took advantage in the best way possible to cost Drake Armstrong this match tonight!
Flannery McCoy: Armstrong was truly preparing to potentially end this match on his own terms, and that much is tarnished by Impact as Drake King picks up the victory.
Stew-O: Certainly an immense twist of events in our main event. Congratulations to the two-time Grand Rampage Winner. Thank you for joining us tonight, and see you next week for another edition of Dynasty!
(‘When Darkness Falls’ can be heard across the speakers as Drake King rises to his feet, clutching his abdomen as the referee raises his arm in victory. Armstrong is clutching his own jaw in anger as he darts his eyes to Impact, who maintains a smirk on his own face at ringside as the scene soon fades from there.)
(EAW logo buzzes.)
