(Fight Grid intro plays.)
(The camera opens up, and as always it begins to pan around EAW Headquarters, which is located in Newark, New Jersey. The camera fades into the building, and as always Molly Waters can be seen sitting behind her Fight Grid desk. Molly doesn’t have the same smile she’d usually have on her face though, and quickly she begins to speak.)
Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Fight Grid, your source for news all throughout the Land of Elite. As always I’m Molly Waters, and today we have some breaking news!
(Molly takes a second before continuing.)
Molly Waters: In recent weeks Voltage has been gearing up for their upcoming supershow Rise of the Resistance as well as the tri-branded event Territorial Invasion in September, but it looks like the yellow brand has taken a huge hit just weeks away from the show, as unfortunately it looks like Monkeypox has made its way to Voltage. Monkeypox has become a very major issue in recent times, and now here in EAW we’re dealing with its effects, as It turns out that very recently the Voltage Commissioner has been exposed to the virus, and will now have to take time away from Voltage, both to recover and to make sure that it doesn’t spread to anyone else. Here in EAW our staff takes viruses such as Monkeypox very seriously, and Captain Charisma will be taking all the time he needs so that he can have a safe and healthy return to Voltage.
Molly Waters: Yes, unfortunately this does mean that for the foreseeable future, Captain Charisma won’t be around for Voltage. I’m not so sure what this means for Voltage or for Eden Sinclair, who intended to assist Captain Charisma during the season. One thing that I can confirm with you all until then is that nobody on the Voltage roster is at risk, which is very great news considering the circumstances. Details are scarce at the moment, but soon we’ll have more news on the situation and we’ll be sure to announce it to you all as soon as we get the chance. That’s all we have for today, thank you all for watching Fight Grid. As always I’m Molly Waters, signing out.
(Molly waves to the camera, and the camera begins to fade out, transitioning to one more shot of EAW Headquarters. From there, the camera finally begins to fade to black.)
(Fight Grid logo buzzes.)
