(Fight Grid intro plays.)
(The camera opens up to a panaround shot of EAW Headquarters located in Newark, New Jersey. The shot then fades inside the building, where it pans in to show Fight Grid Host Molly Waters. She’s standing by with a microphone in her hand and a smile on her face, and after a few seconds she begins to speak.)
Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Fight Grid, your source for all the news throughout the Land of Elite! I am your host, Molly Waters. We’re coming at you tonight with some breaking news on the Sunday Night Voltage side of things, specifically regarding Fighting Spirit and a challenge that we put out for the event. As we saw on the last Voltage, former Specialists Champion ARIA would have the opportunity to talk about her reign and more importantly, shed some light on what was next for her. Now there were a lot of options that she could’ve chosen, but she had her mind set on challenging for Dr. Bethany Blue’s Universal Women’s Championship! Fight Grid has footage for you tonight straight from the Champion herself, coming from her hometown in Miami, Florida, also where Fighting Spirit is going to be! Take a look!
[SCREENBAR: THE OFFICE OF DR. BETHANY BLUE M.D – MIAMI, FLORIDA]
(The camera then transitions over to show the outside of Dr. Bethany Blue’s office in Miami, where of course she was while Voltage was being held over the weekend. The building is of course in a lot better shape than the last time that we saw it, with it being vandalized and trashed by Sienna Jade last year, but that’s not the main point. The front door opens and a pair of boots are seen stepping out, the shot panning up to reveal that it is the Universal Women’s Champion herself. Taking a break from work she takes off the mask that she has on along with her gloves and disposes it into the trash can, adjusting her title which she brought out with her as well. She looks out into the distance and takes a deep breath before beginning to speak.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: I could waste time talking about the events that have occurred these past couple of weeks, but you already know what happened, you don’t need to hear it from me again. All you need to know is that Dr. Bethany Blue is still your Universal Women’s Champion and I am coming off of the second of many more successful title defenses in the near future. What happened at Grand Rampage has no doubt solidified me as one of the most dominant Women’s Champion that this company has seen in a long time, so it comes as no surprise to me, keeping that in mind, that there would be some people gunning for me any chance they got given the target on my back. That leads me to ARIA, the sweet little girl that issued me a challenge for next week at Fighting Spirit. Now, I wish I could give it some form of regard right now, but not only am I currently busy but I will have more than enough time to address it when I make an appearance on Voltage, yes I am making an appearance on Voltage. Let’s just say for right now that I’ve seen this film before, ARIA honey. I’ve witnessed happy-go-lucky Elitists like yourself walk straight to their demise because they came into bouts like these unarmed and unprepared. I can understand how gratifying that Specialists Championship reign must’ve been for you, but at the end of the day that by no means justifies that you are going to win a title of this caliber this soon.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Regardless, saying all of this is just me beating around the bush, it’s a simple yes or no answer that you want, right? Well, ARIA, it would be foolish of me to choose the latter because if I did I would be neglecting my responsibilities as a fighting Champion. I promised that anyone can get a shot, all they have to do is step up, and you did exactly that. So you want a match at Fighting Spirit? Then you got it. But I will tell you one thing right now, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is going to stop me from reaching my ultimate goal and that is main eventing Pain For Pride XVI. That means I cannot lose to you, so I won’t. Be careful what you wish for, ARIA.
(Bethany turns around and opens the door back into the building, with that being the last shot seen before Fight Grid from there begins to completely fade out.)
(Fight Grid logo buzzes.)
