Rising Star of the Week
Shinzo Sasaki
This week’s Rising Star of the Week is Shinzo Sasaki! The KAI-ZEN member had a major match on Dynasty as he went up against Hall of Famer Chris Elite in a singles match. This is a very tough challenge for a rising star like Shinzo, but in the end he was able to overcome the challenge in front of him and pick up a major victory, defeating Chris. This match would end with a bit of controversy thanks to Ricky’s interference, but it is still very impressive picking up a victory like this so early on in your career. Congratulations to Shinzo Sasaki for defeating an EAW Hall of Famer!
Beef of the Week
Jon Kelton vs Madison Kaline
The Beef of the Week for this week was the match between Jon Kelton and Madison Kaline! This was a National Elite Championship match, and that alone should say everything about how much this meant to both the Devolution member Jon Kelton and Hall of Famer Madison Kaline. Both Elitists wanted this win and made that clear throughout this week, and this made for a really good week of promos between both Elitists. With only weeks to go before The Last Stand, this was without a doubt an important match for both Kelton and Madison!
Show of the Week
Voltage
This week’s Show of the Week was Voltage! Voltage this week had another great show, featuring some major matches with the Iconic Cup semi-finals, along with other great matches such as the tag team match with Drake King and Bea Valentine facing Mia Santoro and Donovan Duke. This show also saw a new alliance formed between Valerie Hellstorm and La Familia, as well as a new stipulation created with Drake King announcing God’s Rules. This show continued to build towards Wicked Games, and in the end this resulted in a fantastic show filled with both excellent matches and excellent moments.
Match of the Week
Minerva vs Caroline
This week’s Match of the Week was the match between Minerva and Caroline! This match was the main event of Voltage, but that’s not all. This match was also one of the two Iconic Cup semi-finals matches, and it turned out to be fantastic. Minerva and Caroline are two great competitors who are both very unique, which in turn has created a very interesting matchup between them. With a spot in the Iconic Cup finals on the line, both women brought their best to this match and made this Voltage main event an amaIng way to close out the show. Minerva was able to move on to the finals, but it took a very tough fight for her to get there.
Promoer of the Week
Dr. Bethany Blue
This week’s Promoer of the Week was Dr. Bethany Blue! On Voltage, Dr. Bethany Blue had her first match since Territorial Invasion as she went up against Juggalo Sally. This meant that Dr. Bethany Blue went into this match still frustrated over recent events, and this showed throughout the week with her promos towards Sally. Dr. Bethany Blue has always been one of the best but this year has seen a far more aggressive side of her, and that was once again made apparent with Bethany’s promos for this match, which showed Sally just what kind of threat she was put up against this week.
Champion of the Week
Jon Kelton
This week’s Champion of the Week was Jon Kelton! Jon Kelton had a match on Showdown this week, but this wasn’t any ordinary match. On Showdown, Kelton would go up against Madison Kaline in a match with his National Elite Championship on the line. Jon Kelton has had a good run as Champion so far, but on Showdown he was put up against a great challenge with a Hall of Famer looking to become Champion at his expense. In the end however, Kelton would retain his title heading into The Last Stand. Congratulations to Jon Kelton for retaining his National Elite Championship!
Most Valuable Elitist
Miku Sakai & Minerva
The Most Valuable Elitists for this week are Miku Sakai and Minerva! Throughout the last few weeks, the Iconic Cup tournament has taken place. This week on Voltage the Iconic Cup finals match was finally confirmed, as both Minerva and Miku would defeat their opponents to advance to the Wicked Games match. They both went up against tough competition in Caroline and ARIA respectively, but in the end Minerva and Miku were able to defeat everyone in their way. Congratulations to Miku Sakai and Minerva, who will face each other at Wicked Games in what is sure to be an incredible match to determine 2023’s Iconic Cup holder!
