(EAW intro plays.)
(A recap video airs showcasing last week’s exciting episode. Things heated up between the two world champions and their respective challengers for Tempest. Harper got the better of Bethany in a heated exchange, while Myles asserted his dominance and made sure Samael and his personalities knew exactly what they were getting into. Candice Blair and Daryl Kinkade found themselves victorious in the triple threat tag team match, but of course it wasn’t without controversy. Things reached a boiling point with all six competitors and when all was said and done, it appeared as if Candice, Halsey, and Sierra Everett were tighter than ever. Miku Sakai, Ayu Megumi, Sheridan, and TLA all picked up victories despite all the drama they’re involved in heading towards Super Voltage II and Tempest. To cap things off, Drake King won the first ever ‘Lobster Death Match’ over Showdown’s Alex Myers, and he made sure to get his licks in on Yhwach O’Hara as well.)
(As the recap ends, the camera fades to the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The fans in the arena are all cheering as ’33rd Blakk Glass’ by ZillaKami & SosMula plays, and gold pyro explodes. The camera would fade to the commentary table where James Peters, Rich Russillo and Persephone are seated, but they don’t have the smiles on their faces that they usually would.)
James Peters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Sunday night Voltage. Before we continue there’s something important that we have to address. It looks like there may have been some sort of altercation not too long ago.
Rich Russillo: From what we heard, it sounds like something happened between TLA and Sheridan Müller! We all know that they got themselves into a big brawl last week, and it sounds like they haven’t been able to settle their differences even after having the week to think it over!
Persephone: :wow: How awful! I sure hope everyone involved is okay and in good enough shape to compete!
James Peters: We have some footage to share with you all right now, and I have to admit that even I’m a bit curious of what went down between them.
(After a few seconds, the titantron lights up before showing the parking lot of the T-Mobile Center, the location of tonight’s Voltage.)
[SCREENBAR – T-Mobile Center’s parking lot]
(The camera pans down towards a bunch of cars that are parked, but there’s also a ton of security guards in the area as there seems to be a lot of commotion. They’re all yelling, and they seem to be trying to restrain somebody.)
(The person being restrained turns out to be TLA, who doesn’t seem to be happy at all, likely because of the brawl last week which ended with Sheridan Müller putting him through a table before shoving Taco Bell food in his mouth. TLA is arguing with the security guards, who are dragging him away from the area. TLA is trying to free himself from their grasp and continues to argue back to the security guards, but there are too many of them, leaving him with no choice but to be taken away as the camera begins to follow a few of the other guards who are walking away from him. After a few seconds they approach the person who TLA seems to have attacked, and that person turns out to be Sheridan.)
(The security guards check on Sheridan Müller, but she doesn’t seem to be in good condition as she isn’t moving at all. She is down on the ground holding her ribs, and there’s blood coming from her head and her mouth. Sheridan looks semi-conscious, and the guards that went to check on her begin speaking to each other before trying to help her up. During all of this the rest of the security guards continue to drag TLA away from the area, and finally TLA can be heard yelling.)
TLA: [BLEEP] TACO BELL!
(The security guards continue to pull TLA away from the area, before finally the footage comes to an end and the camera returns to the commentary table as the titantron screen turns off.)
James Peters: I’m not too sure what kind of brawl took place between Sheridan and TLA, but it looks like things really went south as Sheridan wasn’t very responsive. We know that these two have had issues for the past few weeks, and I don’t think things are going to turn out any better now after what TLA has done!
Rich Russillo: I’m not sure what happened tonight, but whatever it was clearly wasn’t pretty. Sheridan was bleeding pretty badly and she was unconscious. Things have definitely taken a turn with these two.
Persephone: Gee, I sure hate that!
James Peters: Right. With all that being said, I am told that we’re going to go ahead and take a commercial break, but when we return, we’re going to take a look at some more footage from earlier today. We’ll be right back.
(Voltage fades away from ringside and into a commercial break.)
(Promotional ad for Tempest, where Myles defends the EAW World Championship against Samael.)
(Voltage returns from break and fades into a screen bar.)
[SCREEN BAR – Earlier Today]
(The camera opens up to the T-Mobile Center earlier today, and the first thing shown after this is a small group of people walking into the arena. None of them look very happy, and they all seem to be headed to the same place. The group of people are all executives and representatives of PETA, a company that has already had some bad history with Voltage in the past. Needless to say, recent events haven’t made them any happier with EAW. The PETA executives all head towards HRDO’s office, knocking on his door as they patiently wait for a response. After a few seconds, the door would open.)
HRDO: Please, come in.
(HRDO allows the executives to walk in, as HRDO and the Voltage commissioner Captain Charisma are already in the office.)
HRDO: Now, I believe this is about a match that took place last week between Drake King and Alex Myers. Is that correct?
PETA Executive: Of course it is! Last week we had to see Lobsters used as tools for an overly violent fight between members of your company! We’re advocates for animal life and you know this because we’ve already had conversations in the past…
(The executive then turns to Captain Charisma.)
PETA Executive: But *you* continue to put these animals in danger! Lobsters are not weapons, they have lives of their own and I’m sure they’d prefer not to be put in the same unnecessary danger you put them through last week!
Captain Charisma: Look, I’m aware that we’ve had these conversations in the past, but as the commissioner of Voltage it’s my responsibility to help make every show the best it could possibly be. Here in EAW we’d never go out of our way to put animal life in danger. We did use them for the main event match last week, but that’s all.
PETA Executive #2: That’s not true! One of the members of your roster tried to drown someone in that Lobster tank!
PETA Executive #3: Yeah, what if the Lobsters got hurt because you couldn’t get your own wrestlers under control!?
Captain Charisma: That was not supposed to happen. We weren’t aware that things would spiral out of control like that but the situation has already been handled.
PETA Executive: Really? I don’t think it has, because there’s nothing stopping you from making another one of those cruel matches!
PETA Executive #3: How do we know last week wasn’t just the beginning, and that things won’t get any worse going forward? Every time we try to have a conversation with you we’re met with nothing but lies.
HRDO: I’m sure we can all find some way to settle this and put this situation behind us. I-
PETA Executive #2: We need more than that! You need to take action. You need to get your company under control!
(HRDO and Captain Charisma turn to one another, both with a similar exhausted look on their faces as they continue to listen to the complaints of the PETA Executives. After this, the scene fades to black.)
(Voltage reopens and returns to ringside, and ‘SUN//EATER’ by Lorna Shore hits as the Voltage crowd gives a loud mixed reaction. After a little while, Yhwach O’Hara begins to slowly walk out onto the stage. He has a calm look on his face despite everything that happened last week in his brawl against Drake King, but he can be seen holding a microphone in his hand, showing that he has something to say. Yhwach doesn’t spend any time standing on the stage, instead just walking down the ramp and towards the ring as the loud mix of cheers and boos continue.)
James Peters: Yhwach O’Hara attacked Drake King after his match against Alex Myers last week, but I wouldn’t say things went to plan for him seeing how that brawl came to an end.
Rich Russillo: Yeah. It ended with Drake trying to drown Yhwach in the same Lobster tank that was used in the match against Alex! It was a rough night, though I have to say Yhwach doesn’t seem to be taking things too badly. In fact, he looks just as he usually would.
James Peters: Yeah, and that makes me wonder if he has something up his sleeve. After all, he’s here to speak. It must be something big.
Persephone: Like what?
James Peters: I guess we’ll just have to see for ourselves.
(Yhwach walks up the steel steps before entering the ring. After a few seconds, he begins to speak.)
Yhwach O’Hara: I’m sure Drake King has the wrong idea right now. I’m sure in his mind, him being “next” means that he’ll have to watch his back just to avoid meeting a fate that ultimately won’t even matter. I’m sure he believes that this is all just some game and that last week, he truly got the better of me. He couldn’t be further from the truth. I shouldn’t have to say that this isn’t over. In fact, we’ve barely gotten started, because I didn’t attack him weeks ago for the sole purpose of sending a message. I didn’t attack him just to start a competition between us. When I attacked him it was a warning, a warning that he’d be suffering what Myles did back at Road to Redemption. A warning that he’d be suffering what Theron Nikolas did back at King of Elite. Every time I attacked Drake King it was to make one thing clear. He can’t run away from me. He can’t escape what I’ve already decided will happen. I made my decision after King of Elite. I decided that my next target would be the child that’s spent far too long playing God. Once that decision was made Drake, you had never had any choice but to accept it.
Yhwach O’Hara: This is all happening for a reason, and that reason is the event that will be happening only two weeks from now. There was always an endgame to this and you’d be a fool to think otherwise. The day was always going to come where I put Drake King out of his misery, and that day wasn’t last week. It wasn’t the week before. It wasn’t even the week where I decided to set my sights on him in the first place. That day has yet to come but it’s quickly approaching, and that’s the reason I’m out here right now. Not to waste everyone’s time with grandiose promises that were never going to be fulfilled by someone like Drake, but to let you all know that this will be ending soon. In two weeks all of this will end, and there’ll never be any doubts whether or not the “Messiah” is anything but a joke. In two weeks I am going to put down Drake King, because as I’ve already said, this is a fight he can’t run away from. What happens in two weeks will be what I decided would happen from the very start. You’re going to face me at Tempest, Drake.
(There’s suddenly really loud cheers from the crowd, as the fans seem to love the idea of a match between the two. Yhwach O’Hara turns to the stage, waiting for Drake King to give an answer.)
Yhwach O’Hara: I’m sure you understand, now. In the end, things were always going to turn out like this. We were always going to meet inside of the ring, and when it happens, I shouldn’t even need to explain exactly what I will do to you. Now I can wait for a response, but I hope for your sake that you make the right decision. Either you face me at Tempest, or you make things far more difficult for yourself than they ever had to be. The choice is yours, as long as you understand that no matter the choice, the end result will be the same. You fall at my hands. There’s no point in hiding, or continuing to waste my time. You’d be far better off just walking out here and accepting your fate. Accept the challenge and face me at Tempest. Accept that this is where you meet your demise.
(Yhwach O’Hara continues to wait, and after a little while the fans start to boo as there seems to be no sign of Drake King. This changes though, as the titantron would light up, before showing the Dead Sea, Israel. What’s shown is a familiar sight, as Drake King is seen in his Compound. Seeing that he’s not even at the arena the boos only grow louder, but Yhwach just stares at the screen to see what decision Drake is going to make.)
Drake King: I hope you weren’t actually expecting me to be at the arena this week. How many weeks in a row have I been attacked now? I’m not stupid, I could see how this would have gone from a mile away. I’m not going to keep entertaining you, Yhwach. I have far better things to do and far better ways to spend my time than thinking about whether or not you’re about to strike. For some reason everyone here seems to be okay with these unnecessary brawls, but unlike our commissioner I can see that there’s no reason my health should be put at risk even outside of the ring.
Yhwach O’Hara: Whether you’re at the arena or not is none of my concern. Whether it’s here or at your home, all you have to do is give me an answer. You heard what I said, correct?
Drake King: :francis: I did, unfortunately. For some reason you seem to believe that being the hundredth person to try to expose me as a fraud is the right way to spend your night at Tempest, and I seriously don’t understand it. How many times do we have to go through this before you all just accept that I am exactly who I say I am? There’s so many people on the roster whose time you could waste and for some reason you picked me. You decided to attack me for weeks just to stand there and expect me to “accept my fate”. You don’t get to decide how this ends, Yhwach. The Messiah is not just a name, and there’s no ulterior motives or beliefs hidden behind my actions. Nothing will stop me from doing the world a favor and killing this industry, especially not you. You know exactly what I’m here for and I’m not going to let you get in the way of that, so you know what? If I really have no other choice, and if facing you at Tempest is the only way I’ll get rid of you, so be it. I’ll face you at Tempest, but I hope you know what you’re really getting yourself into. You said that I’d meet the same fate Myles and Theron Nikolas did, but they’re nothing like me. You haven’t and you never will face someone like me.
(The look on Yhwach’s face doesn’t change, but there’s cheers from the crowd after the confirmation of the Tempest match between Yhwach O’Hara and Drake King.)
Drake King: Oh, right.. I almost forgot.
(Drake can be seen taking a bite of something, and as the camera pans out a plate of food can be seen, containing steak and lobster.)
Drake King: As for PETA… Mind your business. I don’t have time to deal with you all getting in my way because of a match that I was in no way responsible for. I didn’t ask to participate in a Lobster Deathmatch. I didn’t ask for Yhwach O’Hara to attack me. I was forced into that position and I did what I had to do. If you have an issue, keep it between yourselves and Captain Charisma, because I don’t want anything to do with you or your company. Leave me alone.
(Drake eats his food as the titantron screen turns off. There’s loud boos from the crowd as Yhwach O’Hara is left standing inside of the ring. After a few seconds, ‘SUN//EATER’ would begin playing once again.)
James Peters: Well… Drake King had a little message for PETA, but I don’t think that’s the big thing to take away from that. We’re about to see Drake versus Yhwach O’Hara at Tempest!
Rich Russillo: This is a first time ever match, and I have to say this could steal the show! Things have obviously become heated between the two for weeks, and now they’ll actually be facing off!
Persephone: I can’t wait. It’ll definitely be a match of all time! 😃
(The camera fades backstage, showing the PETA Executives watching the back and forth between Drake King and Yhwach O’Hara. They turn to Captain Charisma, not happy at all about what they just saw.)
PETA Executive: What happened to caring about the safety of animal life?
PETA Executive #2: Do you think this is funny?
Captain Charisma: No, I don’t.
PETA Executive #2: Then fix this! This Drake King is clearly an issue, and if he’s going to keep putting animal life in danger then he has no place anywhere on live television!
PETA Executive #3: Right. It’s time to cancel Drake King!
PETA Executive: Get him away from EAW as soon as possible so nobody has to worry about lives being put in danger for your amusement anymore!
(Captain Charisma just shakes his head as the complaining continues.)
Captain Charisma: If only it were that easy. It’s been three seasons and I still can’t get rid of him.
(The conversation continues between the PETA Executives, Captain Charisma and HRDO. Meanwhile, Voltage begins to fade away from the area and into a commercial break.)
(Promotional ad for Tempest, where ARIA defends her Specialists Championship against Sierra Everett.)
(Sunday Night Voltage comes back from a brief commercial break, the camera going back to the arena with the crowd being met by the sounds of ‘Run’ by ZEAL & ARDOR beginning to blast through the speakers. They respond negatively with the shot going over to Mercer McKay beginning to make his way out to the stage out of the billowing smoke. He’s in his ring gear, despite not having a match tonight, while he scans the Kansas City crowd here tonight who show their displeasure toward him. He looks past them, eyeing the ring directly and beginning to make his way down the ramp from there.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… ‘THE MASTODON’… MERCER MCKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Well it was a very interesting week for Mercer on the last episode of Voltage I’ll say, even looking past the loss to Sheridan Müller he sustained. He came out to the ring to confront Ayu Megumi after she called him out for his actions the previous week, and that, of course, ended with Mercer beating her down to a bloody pulp, but not before a match at Super Voltage II was made.
James Peters: It’s certainly going to be an uphill climb for Ayu given the type of person that Mercer is and what he’s capable of, but knowing her she’s going to do everything she can to overcome that. But right now Mercer is heading down to the ring, and while I’m not going to dig into his mind, it seems like he’s unhappy more so about the number of losses that he’s sustained, and looks to take it out on his next target and make an example out of Ayu which is an opportunity he’ll take especially before the event.
Persephone: Mercer McKay should be ashamed of himself for his despicable actions these past couple of months. First what happened at King of Elite, now last week, was the slap on the wrist that Captain Charisma gave him not enough??? We as EAW employers have an obligation to follow Walt Disney guidelines, and I’ll tell you right now, he’s really pushing that!
Rich Russillo & James Peters: :skip:!!!
(Mercer makes his way around the ringside area, heading up the steel steps and onto the apron before immediately slipping through the ropes. He snatched a microphone from the ringside area before then making his way over to the center of the ring, with ‘Run’ coming to a close from there and Mercer looking to speak to the crowd.)
Mercer McKay: I don’t expect a lot of you to agree with what I did last week to Ayu Megumi, and frankly I don’t care. I tried my best these past couple of weeks to be on my best behavior for the sake of Captain Charisma and whatever boss he’s trying to cater to, but it’s been made apparent that some people in this company aren’t the easiest ones to cooperate with. They are not souls to be saved, and I’m not going to stand idle and let them think they can get away with pressing my buttons and telling me what to do. Let me establish one thing if it hasn’t been made clear already, NOBODY controls me, NOBODY tells me what to do, and if Ayu thought that she was going to be the outlier of that… then she learned otherwise very quickly when I pummeled and painted the canvas a beautiful crimson.
(Mercer can’t help but chuckle at all of this while the crowd continues to boo.)
Mercer McKay: I find it quite pathetic that she wanted an apology out of me, she got what she deserved as I said, and maybe if her and her little friend just watched where they were going they wouldn’t be in a situation like this. But they escalated, and now that small little girl finds herself in a match against me at Super Voltage II… how fun. If she thinks that this is going to be the fairytale ending that she aspires for, where the hero avenges everything that this evildoer has done, then she’ll be deeply surprised when nothing of the sort comes to fruition. I will make it my mission to make what happened on Voltage last week look tame compared to what I do to you in our match, and I see no better way than to show you in a match situation, make sense?
(The crowd murmurs in confusion of what Mercer is saying right now, while he turns over to the stage.)
Mercer McKay: Now that we’re through with that, how about we bring our lucky opponent out to the ring and give them the opportunity of a lifetime.
(The crowd cheers, having the opportunity to see a match and even the chance to shut Mercer up for Ayu’s and everyone’s sake. He drops his microphone down to the ground and kicks it to the side, taking off his entrance vest while the camera goes to the stage. A scrawny enhancement talent is seen energetically making his way out to the stage, exactly as Mercer said, excited for this opportunity of a lifetime that he’s getting. The crowd cheers in support for him as he makes his way down the ramp.)
Persephone: Look at this fella! Ready to defend not just Voltage, but the entirety of EAW from the evil Mercer McKay! Go get em pal!
James Peters: Well if he really wants to make a name for himself, I doubt this is the way to do it. :lupe: Mercer is about three times his height and weight and could probably snap him like a twig metaphorically and dare I say physically. He’s going to have to really have a lot in the tank if he wants to even come close to winning this match I’ll say this.
(The enhancement talent is seen quickly sliding into the ring, raising his hand high in the air, confident despite the looming presence of Mercer McKay still standing inside the ring. He makes his way over to his corner, ready for this match to officially get underway. The referee gingerly enters into the ring, unsure of whether or not he is going to go through with this match or not. Regardless, he rings the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: Well, uh, this match is officially underway. This debuting talent looks ready to go, and right out the gate he charges toward Mercer and sends a barrage of forearm strikes toward the face! This is certainly a next level amount of bravery being shown by this guy right now, but it doesn’t even seem like Mercer is affected by it at all! Mercer simply gives him a shove and sends him stumbling backward, but his opponent runs to the ropes and back… LEAPING UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS AND ATTEMPTING TO TAKE HIM DOWN WITH A HURRICANRANA ATTEMPT!
James Peters: BRAVE… but not enough! Mercer is too big and stays on his feet, keeping his opponent on his shoulders!
(The enhancement talent practically dangles in his arms, swaying his arms around and trying to find a way to execute his move. He sends punches toward his face, but Mercer isn’t all that hurt by it as he aims toward the ropes…)
Rich Russillo: MERCER LAUNCHES HIM OUT OF THE RING!
Persephone: Ouch… no worries man, you’ll shake it off! Do it for Disney!
James Peters: Mercer is rolling out of the ring, grabbing the legs of his opponent and dragging him around the ringside area… BEFORE SWINGING HIS BODY RIGHT INTO THE RINGPOST! Mercer isn’t done as he keeps a hold of him, SWINGING HIM BACK AROUND INTO THE BARRICADE THIS TIME!
(Mercer releases his grip on his opponent and drops him down to the ground. He’s already unconscious and bleeding from the side of the head, yet despite the damage already being done less than a minute into the match, Mercer looks far from done.)
Rich Russillo: Mercer snatches his head, heaving him back up to his feet, BEFORE SLAMMING HIS HEAD AGAINST THE RINGPOST! AND AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN! The ringpost is painted red and his opponent looks like a scene out of a horror film, and even though the referee could very well call this match off I don’t think he has any sort of clue what to do right now!
James Peters: Mercer grabs him and rolls him into the ring, jumping onto the apron and slipping through the ropes himself. Mercer grabs him… LIFTING HIM UP OFF THE GROUND INTO A STANDING TIGER DRIVER ‘91! HIS OPPONENT IS SPIKED ONTO HIS HEAD AND MERCER ISN’T DONE, STARTING WITH A GIANT SWING…
Rich Russillo: BEFORE FINISHING WITH AN ELBOW DROP TO THE CHEST! CAVING IT RIGHT IN! ‘HALL OF ATONEMENT’ CONNECTS AND MERCER PRESSES HIS HANDS DOWN ONTO HIS CHEST FOR THE PIN!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘Run’ begins to blast through the speakers, with Mercer McKay immediately pushing himself off the enhancement talent and pulling himself up to a kneeling position. He doesn’t even break a sweat, and immediately gets back up to his feet and has his hand reluctantly raised by the referee. Mercer doesn’t have any sort of reaction to it, staring intently down the hard camera, presumably sending a message to Ayu Megumi wherever she may be.)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… MERCER MCKAY-
Persephone: OH MY GOD! HAVEN’T YOU DONE ENOUGH!
James Peters: MERCER DROPS BACK DOWN AND BEGIN TO SLAM ELBOWS DOWN ONTO HIS FACE! HE CLEARLY ISN’T SATISFIED AT ALL WITH WHAT HE’S DONE IN THIS MATCH AND LOOKS TO INFLICT SOME MORE ON THIS POOR MAN! HIS OPPONENT IS COMPLETELY LIFELESS, AND CLEARLY THE DAMAGE IS ALREADY DONE BUT MERCER DOESN’T CARE! HE LOOKS TO REPEAT KING OF ELITE!
Rich Russillo: MERCER BRINGS HIM BACK UP TO HIS FEET, CONNECTING WITH A GUTWRENCH SUPLEX! MERCER THEN BRINGS HIM UP, UNWINDINGING HIM INTO A RIPCORD HEADBUTT! HE LOOKS TO FINISH THIS OFF WITH THE SPINNING GONZO BOMB TO COMPLETE THE ‘VISIONS OF HELL’!
(‘LIKE IT! LOVE IT!’ by Setsuna Yuki is heard playing through the speakers with the crowd absolutely erupting into applause. Mercer drops the opponent down and quickly looks toward the stage, with Ayu Megumi being seen rushing out from the backstage area with a steel chair in hand, looking to come in for the save.)
James Peters: HERE COMES THE CALVARY, AYU MEGUMI HAS SEEN ENOUGH! AYU SLIDES INTO THE RING AND IMMEDIATELY RAMS THE CHAIR INTO MERCER’S ABDOMEN! MERCER DOUBLES OVER BUT QUICKLY TRIES TO STRAIGHTEN UP, ONLY FOR AYU TO TAKE THE CHAIR AND SLAMMING IT AGAINST HER FACE!
Persephone: WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING, DOES SHE KNOW THAT WE DON’T ALLOW ILLEGAL CHAIR SHOTS TO THE HEAD?!
Rich Russillo: THIS DROPS MERCER DOWN TO THE GROUND, AND NOW AYU BEGIN TO CONTINUOUSLY SLAM THE CHAIR DOWN ON MERCER! ABSOLUTELY MERCILESS ATTACK BUT WHO CAN BLAME HER, MERCER HAD THIS COMING! MERCER IS STILL CONSCIOUS AND IS TRYING HIS BEST TO GET UP, BUT AYU SEEMS TO HAVE UNLIMITED STAMINA AND CONTINUES TO CONNECT WITH THE CHAIR TO MERCER’S BODY! MERCER IS STILL PUSHING, BUT IT’S HOPELESS! HE’S DOWN ON THE MAT AND COMPLETELY LIFELESS|! AYU GOT THE FINAL BLOW TONIGHT!
(An official quickly slides into the ring and holds Ayu back, who ultimately relents and drops the chair down to the ground. Mercer is lifeless right now while Ayu yells at him, vowing that she’ll see an end to this. She rolls out of the ring and makes her way up the ramp, as it’s the last shot seen before Sunday Night Voltage begins to fades to commercial.)
(Promotional ad for Operation: Doomsday, Dynasty’s marquee event where Limmy Monaghan defends his World Heavyweight Championship in a Dome of Death match.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR… ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
(‘Seek and Destroy’ by Metallica plays to a negative reaction from fans, and Halsey Neel enters through the curtain, taking a brief look around before marching down to the ring, blocking out the negative reactions, and focusing solely on her match.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! Hailing out of Birmingham, England, weighing in at 149 pounds…SHE IS THE RIPPER…HALSEY NEEL!
James Peters: “The Ripper” Halsey Neel has arrived, and is looking towards a match with Ronan Malosi next week. But first, she must make it through Daryl Kinkade.
Rich Russillo: Candice’s opponent for next week, and since their friends, I imagine Halsey’s looking to do some serious damage to Daryl, so he’s easy pickings for Candice next week.
Persephone: I hope not, but that does seem likely.
(‘Primrose’ by Dream State plays to a mixed reaction from fans, mostly leaning towards positive as Daryl Kinkade walks onto the stage, and stares down Halsey from inside the ring before marching down to the ring himself, high fiving fans every now and again along the way.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent! Hailing out of Norwich, England, weighing in at 225 pounds…HE IS THE KINK OF ELITE…DARYL KINKADE!!
Rich Russillo: While Halsey may be out to injure this man, that doesn’t mean he’s gonna let it happen, however.
James Peters: That is true. Stepping in the ring with Daryl Kinkade, Halsey better prepare for one thing, and that is a fight.
Rich Russillo: Daryl isn’t just looking to send a message to Candice either, he’s looking to enact a bit of revenge after the actions of Candice, Halsey, and Sierra.
Persephone: Will he is the question.
(Daryl takes off his jacket, and hands it off to a stagehand before focusing on Neel in the opposite corner.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: We are underway! Halsey Neel versus Daryl Kinkade, you have to imagine Ronan Malosi is backstage watching this closely, along with Candice Blair, both competitors scouting the competition ahead of next week, seeing what they’re up against.
Rich Russillo: Well, both Daryl and Halsey look to see what they’re up against as they circle one another for a collar and elbow tie-up in the center of the ring. Halsey Neel slips behind Daryl Kinkade, and delivers a rear waistlock takedown, transitioning into a grounded facelock on Kinkade, who’s up on all fours.
James Peters: Halsey does a great job at maintaining control, but Daryl powers back to his feet, bringing Halsey along with him, and escapes the front facelock with arm wringer, removing that arm from across his throat. Daryl transitions into a standing side headlock, soon turning it to a takedown, and Halsey uses those legs of hers to wrap around the neck of Kinkade to escape with a grounded headscissors.
Rich Russillo: Daryl moves into a front neck bridge, and shows off his core strength through a headstand, popping back to his feet afterward, simultaneously escaping the headscissors. Daryl stares down at Halsey Neel, who scoots back to create minor separation before standing herself up.
Persephone: 👏
James Peters: Both competitors circle one another for a second time before a collar and elbow tie-up! Halsey gets the advantage first with an arm wringer, this time not being on the receiving end of it. Daryl forward rolls to his feet before following that up with a back roll to his feet, and wrings the arm of Halsey Neel, BUT QUICKLY SWATS SAID ARM AWAY WITH ONE HAND, LEAPING IN THE AIR TO DELIVER A DROPKICK!
Rich Russillo: Halsey goes down, and rolls out underneath the bottom rope, creating space between herself and Kinkade. Daryl taunts to the audience, feeling good about himself right now, having gotten one over on Neel.
James Peters: Why wouldn’t Daryl feel good about himself? Next week, he has an opportunity to become number one contender to the World Championship.
Rich Russillo: That is true. Neel gets up to a knee on the outside, and clutches at her jaw, which absorbed most of that dropkick. Daryl exits the ring, wanting to pursue Halsey further, and not give her any extra time to recuperate. BUT HALSEY MUST’VE BEEN PLAYING POSSUM AS SHE POPS BACK TO HER FEET, AND CRACKS DARYL ACROSS HIS JAW WITH A STIFF FOREARM SMASH AS HE EXITED THE RING!
James Peters: Daryl spins around, trying to shake the cobwebs out of his head as he leans forward on the apron, possibly only hearing ringing at the moment. Halsey grabs him by the back of his neck, not allowing her opponent any time to recover, and directs Daryl towards the steel steps, BOUNCING HIM OFF FACE FIRST!
Rich Russillo: Daryl goes down to a knee with his head still resting on that top step, and gears start to turn in Halsey’s head as she goes up the steps.
Persephone: Halsey looks around to the audience before raising her boot above Daryl’s head. She’s gonna crush his head in between her boot and the steel steps! Hopefully, she is allowed to get away with that!
James Peters: Is?
Persephone: Slip of the tongue! I meant isn’t! :lupe:
James Peters: WELL, YOU GET YOUR WISH AS DARYL GETS HIS HEAD OFF THE STEPS IN TIME TO AVOID A STOMP BY NEEL! DARYL GRABS HALSEY’S ANKLE, AND YANKS HER LEG OUT FROM UNDER HER, CAUSING HALSEY TO HIT FACE FIRST ON THE STEEL STEPS AS WELL!
Rich Russillo: Neel gets to all fours, and tries crawling away from Daryl, who gives her the separation she wants as he rounds the steel steps, stalking Halsey as she slowly gets to her feet.
James Peters: DARYL BUILDS A FULL HEAD OF STEAM, AND KICKS OFF THE STEEL STEPS, SOARING THROUGH THE AIR WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT ON HALSEY RINGSIDE! But there is only so much time you have to fool around ringside, something Daryl realizes, and rolls Halsey back into the ring, looking to inflict further damage, not having to worry about a count out.
Rich Russillo: But Halsey Neels rolls out on the hard cam side of our ring, simultaneously breaking the count and creating space between herself and Daryl. Neel appears as she’s staggering toward the southeast corner of the barricade. But Daryl Kinkade goes after her, not having entered the ring yet, and rounds the ringpost in hot pursuit.
James Peters: BUT ONCE AGAIN, HALSEY NEEL BAITS HIM IN AS SHE CHARGES KINKADE WITH A RUNNING FOREARM STRIKE! DARYL GOES DOWN TO A KNEE, FAVORING HIS JAW, BUT HALSEY NEEL QUICKLY PULLS HIM BACK UP, AND SCORES WITH A URANAGE SLAM ON THE APRON!
Rich Russillo: Neel slides back into the ring, getting to a knee, and checking to make sure any teeth aren’t missing from any of Daryl Kinkade’s attacks. Speaking of, Daryl writhes in pain on the apron before rolling back inside the ring, getting to all fours in front of Halsey, who stands herself back up, staring down at her opponent.
Persephone: Halsey has Daryl right where she wants him.
James Peters: And she’s toying with him almost, grabbing Daryl’s hair with one hand, pulling him up to both knees, AND SLAPPING HIM WITH THE OTHER! Daryl goes down to all fours, and appears have gotten the taste slapped out of his mouth by Neel, who spreads her arms, taunting the crowd with a smirk on her face before refocusing on the task, pulling Daryl back to his feet, and wringing his arm.
Rich Russillo: Snap suplex by Halsey, who floats over into a cover!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOO-
Rich Russillo: Daryl gets the shoulder up! But Halsey is gonna make him pay as she mounts Kinkade with forearms! Halsey is starting to show that vicious side, which we’ve seen within her countless times in EAW, especially at King of Elite against Hikari Kanno, being sadistic and vicious towards her opponent.
James Peters: Daryl is doing his best to cover up, but Halsey grabs his wrist, and STARTS TO REIGN DOWN WITH WRISTLOCK STOMPS TO THE FACE! AGAIN, DARYL IS DOING HIS BEST TO COVER UP, BUT HE ONLY HAS ONE HAND AVAILABLE TO DO SO! HALSEY HAS FIRE IN HER EYES, APPEARING TO BE ALMOST RELENTLESS, AND I WONDER IF SHES IMAGINING THAT FACE TO BE RONAN MALOSI’S!
Rich Russillo: FINALLY, HALSEY NEEL RELENTS! BUT GOES BACK IN, GRABBING THE WRIST OF DARYL KINKADE! DARYL MOVES UP TO ALL FOURS, ALMOST OF OUT INSTINCT AS HE STILLS LOOKS TO BE GLAZED OVER! HALSEY SCORES WITH A BOOT TO THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD! THEN ANOTHER!
Persephone: Daryl might be getting his brain scrambled with this offense by Neel!
Rich Russillo: HALSEY DELIVERS ANOTHER STOMP! AND ANOTHER! AND ANOTHER!
James Peters: BUT LOOK AT THIS! DARYL KINKADE IS SHRUGGING EM OFF, POWERING BACK TO HIS FEET, AND EATING THE KICKS HALSEY HITS TO STOP HIM FROM DOING SO! KINKADE IS STARING DAGGERS INTO NEEL, AND SHORTS ARMS HER INTO AN EXPLODER SUPLEX!
Rich Russillo: Daryl Kinkade sits up slightly, showing that onslaught from Halsey Neel has taken effect, and what we saw there was possibly just a shot of adrenaline.
James Peters: Neel favors her back while crawling towards the corner, and pulling herself up to her feet with assistance from the ropes.
Rich Russillo: Perhaps Daryl Kinkade is getting a second wind as he gets back to his feet, eyeing Neel in the corner, and charging in! RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT, JACKING THE JAW OF HALSEY! BUT DARYL ISNT DONE YET, RUNNING OFF THE OPPOSITE CORNER TO BUILD MOMENTUM FOR A SECOND EUROPEAN UPPERCUT IN THE CORNER!
James Peters: DARYL GOES TO THE WELL FOR A SECOND TIME, CHARGING TO THE OPPOSITE CORNER AGAIN! BUT HALSEY NEEL FLANKS RIGHT BEHIND HIM, AND DELIVERS A FLYING KNEE STRIKE IN THE CORNER AS DARYL TURNED AROUND! KINKADE GETS LIFTED IN A FIREMAN’S CARRY, AND BROUGHT TO THE CENTER OF THE RING!
Rich Russillo: BLOOD ON THE LEAVES! FIREMAN’S CARRY ROUNDHOUSE KICK- GETS DUCKED UNDERNEATH! AND DARYL’S BOOT TAGS NEEL BEHIND THE EAR WITH A STEP-UP ENZIGURI! NEEL IS PLACED ON SPAGHETTI LEGS AS SHE SPINS AROUND, AND GETS DUMPED ON THE BACK OF HER HEAD WITH A SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX BY KINKADE! BEAUTIFUL BRIDGE FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRR-
Persephone: KICKOUT! 😒
James Peters: Daryl is shocked, believing he had it there with how close the referee’s hand came to three, but powers back to his feet, and backpedals in the corner, stalking a downed Neel.
Rich Russillo: Halsey has shown feint signs of life, still glossed over after the dragon suplex, and no wonder, that isn’t something you’re gonna easily shake off like nothing.
James Peters: Daryl takes a deep breath, almost focusing himself before building momentum for a RUNNING SHOOTING STAR PRESS!
Rich Russillo: CAUGHT! DARYL KINKADE GOT CAUGHT IN A TRIANGLE CHOKE BY A GROUNDED HALSEY AS HE CAME DOWN FOR THAT SHOOTING STAR PRESS!
Persephone: WOW! WHAT A COUNTER! 🤯
James Peters: HALSEY IS ATTEMPTING TO SQUEEZE THE LIFE OUT OF DARYL KINKADE AS HE SQUIRMS IN THE HOLD, REACHING OUT FOR THE ROPES, BUT ITS NO USE AS HALSEY HAS HIM TRAPPED IN THE CENTER OF THE RING!
Rich Russillo: NOWHERE TO GO FOR DARYL, WHO MAY BE BETWEEN TWO OPTIONS! TAP OR NAP AS HALSEY NEEL CONTINUES TO TIGHTEN THE HOLD AS MUCH AS SHE CAN!
James Peters: INTENSITY IS ETCHED ACROSS THE FACE OF NEEL, BUT DARYL’S FACE SHOWS THAT HE IS FADING IN THE SUBMISSION HOLD! LOOKS LIKE HE’S TAKING THE ROUTE OF NAP, RICH!
Rich Russillo: DARYL’S EYES ARE FLUTTERING ON AND OFF! BUT DARYL GETS THAT BURST OF ENERGY NEEDED TO PUT HIM BACK INTO THE FIGHT, POWERING UP TO HIS FEET, AND STARTING TO LIFT HALSEY UP FOR A POWERBOMB, FORCING A BREAK!
James Peters; GRIT! DETERMINATION! AND STRENGTH! ALL TRAITS JUST SHOWN HERE BY DARYL KINKADE, WHO GESTURES THE BEGINNING OF THE END AS HE PULLS HALSEY BACKUP FOR A PUMPHANDLE PILEDRIVER, SPIKING NEEL ON HER HEAD! HAIL TO THE VICTOR COULD DO IT AS DARYL KINKADE HOOKS THE LEG!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRREEEEEEE-
Rich Russillo: KICKOUT! HALSEY SHOWING THAT DARYL ISNT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS RESILIENT! Daryl pounds the mat in frustration at the kickout by Halsey, but is the first back to his feet, giving him a major advantage over the opposition. Halsey gets to all fours, and is reaching out for the ropes. But Daryl comes from behind, hooking her arms in a full nelson, and pulling Halsey up to a vertical base!
James Peters: DRAGON SUP- HALSEY BACKFLIPS TO HER FEET! AND DARYL RUSHES BACK TO HIS, CHARGING AT HALSEY, BUT DUCKING UNDERNEATH HER CLOTHESLINE! DARYL SPRINGS OFF THE MIDDLE ROPE IN THE CORNER AS HALSEY SPINS AROUND, AND SOARS ONTO HALSEY’S SHOULDERS AS SHE CATCHES HIM IN A FIREMAN’S CARRY!
Rich Russillo: NEEL BRINGS DARYL TO THE CENTER OF THE RING AS HE STRUGGLES ON HER SHOULDERS, AND DROPS HIM WITH BLOOD ON THE LEAVES! THE ROUNDHOUSE KICK CAUSES DARYL TO CRUMPLE TO THE CANVAS, AND HALSEY SHOOTS THE HALF FOR A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE-
James Peters: SHOULDER UP AT THE LAST MINUTE! FRUSTRATION IS ETCHED ACROSS THE FACE OF HALSEY, BUT SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE HAS TO DO, PULLING DARYL BACK UP FOR THE FALL! ADJUSTMENT PILEDRI-
Rich Russillo: DARYL FIGHTS OUT OF IT WITH A BACK BODY DROP, AND HALSEY ROLLS OUT OF THE RING, FAVORING HER BACK! DARYL WAITS AS HALSEY GETS TO HER FEET, AND RUNS OFF THE ROPES FOR A SASUKE SPECI- OOH! HALSEY MOVED OUT THE WAY AT THE LAST MINUTE!
James Peters; BUT DARYL LANDED ON HIS FEET, AVOIDING SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE, AND GETS CAUGHT WITH A SUPERKICK BY NEEL! DARYL IS OUT ON HIS FEET, AND HALSEY ROLLS HIM BACK INTO THE RING WHERE HE GETS TO ALL FOURS! HALSEY NEEDS TO HURRY IN QUICK, SO SHE CAN CAPITALIZE ON A STILL STUNNED KINKADE!
Rich Russillo: OOH! MALOSI! RONAN MALOSI JUST RAN IN WITH A FOREARM THAT TOOK HALSEY DOWN TO ALL FOURS ON THE OUTSIDE! REFEREE HASNT SEEN IT, BECAUSE HES BUSY CHECKING ON DARYL! MALOSI ROLLS HALSEY BACK INTO THE RING!
James Peters: HALSEY QUICKLY GETS TO HER FEET, STILL REELING FROM THAT FOREARM, AND SPINS AROUND INTO A BEAUTIFUL LIE BY DARYL! CROSS-LEGGED FISHERMAN BUSTER, AND KINKADE MAKES THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: HERES YOUR WINNER… DARYL KINKADE!
(Kamikaze by RedHook plays to a positive reaction from fans, and Ronan Malosi can be seen smiling at the ringside area before taking off through the crowd, realizing that Sierra and Candice can’t be far, and doesn’t want them getting wind of this while he’s out there. Daryl rises off of Neel, and gets his hand raised in victory.)
Persephone: Congratulations to Daryl Kinkade, who’s walking into next week with momentum!
James Peters: He owes some of that to Ronan Malosi, who cost Halsey yet another match!
Rich Russillo: I imagine when she wakes up, Neel won’t be very happy about his intrusion.
James Peters: Neither will Candice or Sierra.
(Daryl taunts on the middle rope as the camera fades elsewhere.)
(Promotional ad for Super Voltage II, where Candice Blair and Daryl Kikade face off for the opportunity to compete for a World Championship.)
(Voltage returns from commercial and cuts backstage to a positive reaction from fans at seeing Captain Charisma in his office, typing away on his computer, appearing focused on what he’s doing. Perhaps he is typing an email to PETA and telling them to stop bothering Voltage, but you just never know. Either way, said focus is broken when a voice can be heard off screen, causing Captain Charisma to close his eyes, and take a deep breath, growing annoyed by the intrusion.)
???: Matt! Just the man I was looking for!
(Ronan, despite being out of breath from literally running away from the ring after costing Halsey her match to Daryl, enters the frame with a smug expression on his face as usual. He is smiling down at Captain Charisma as he stands over him in front of his desk having come to a stop. At the very least, Ronan at least has the decency to look over his shoulder because his former teammates surely won’t be happy about what just transpired. Captain Charisma visibly isn’t thrilled by Malosi’s arrival, not that Ronan picks up on it, and begrudgingly looks up from his computer, forcing a smile as well.)
Captain Charisma: Ronan Malosi… I see you’ve entered without knocking.
Ronan Malosi: Cmon, man. You know me, I know you, I think we’re past the point of knocking.
Captain Charisma: Right… well, what brings you to my office?
Ronan Malosi: I’m glad you asked, because I come bearing gifts.
(Ronan Malosi pulls out a Liars Club t-shirt from his waistband, which is a clothing brand he announced on social media, and proceeds to unfold it, holding it up for Captain Charisma’s view and the camera’s.)
Ronan Malosi: Available March 30th.
(Ronan tosses the shirt in Captain Charisma’s lap, causing Captain Charisma to pick it up, and inspect it unimpressed.)
Captain Charisma: Uhh… thanks?
Ronan Malosi: You’re welcome!
Captain Charisma: Say, Ronan, I appreciate the gift, but I’m in the middle of some important work here, and you’ve got a match coming up, so if you don’t mind…
(Captain Charisma places the shirt down on his desk, and goes back to working on his computer, causing Ronan to stiffen, his mood going from smug to more serious.)
Ronan Malosi: Alright, I hear you. I’ll get down to why I’m really here then. So, if you don’t mind, I’ll be closing that…
(Ronan politely closes Captain Charisma’s laptop, giving Captain Charisma no other choice but to pay attention to him, albeit with annoyance.)
Ronan Malosi: Look. I am a world class athlete, a better athlete than everyone else you have on this roster, which isn’t saying much, considering they all look like future truck drivers and construction workers. Making me your hottest commodity on Voltage, and I feel as if you’re not protecting to the level you should.
(Captain Charisma’s annoyance grows.)
Captain Charisma: How so?
Ronan Malosi: I’ve got a match with Halsey Neel coming up next week, and so far, neither Candice or Sierra have been banned from ringside. So, my question is; what are you gonna do about that? We don’t need a repeat of last time I faced Halsey Neel where she skated by, because Korey Gaines interfered in my business. Speaking of, you haven’t properly punished him for that either. Instead, you gave him an opportunity to be New Breed Champion. I left Showdown for a fresh start, to be away from conspiracy, and to be away from that inept general manager, Hurricane Hawk. Lately, you’re coming off just like him, so I’m asking you to please prove me wrong, and please ban Sierra Everett and Candice Blair from ringside next week, so I can have a fair shake at defeating Halsey Neel.
(Captain Charisma ponders for a moment before answering.)
Captain Charisma: Ronan, my answer to that… is no.
Ronan Malosi: :comeagain:
(The crowd cheers at this statement made from Captain Charisma, who stands his ground with a flustered Ronan Malosi.)
Ronan Malosi: No?! What do you mean no?!
Captain Charisma: I mean, no, I’m not going to ban either Sierra Everett or Candice Blair from ringside next week. After all you’ve done throughout this season, including costing Halsey her match at King of Elite AND tonight :francis: because don’t think I didn’t watch, you’ve brought this all upon yourself, and I’m not gonna be the one who bails you out. Besides, you’re a “world class athlete,” right? Two women shouldn’t be much for you to handle.
Ronan Malosi: Matt-
Captain Charisma: Please, call me Captain.
(Ronan’s growing irritated with Captain Charisma’s refusal to give him what he wants, especially as he hears the crowd pop for Captain Charisma’s owning of him, but tries to remain calm, and keep his composure in the face of it all.)
Ronan Malosi: …Captain, I’m asking you to please reconsider. I don’t deserve this. Remember, they turned on me for absolutely no reason. If anything, I’m the good guy in this scenario, and as of right now, I’m being wronged by someone who I considered a friend, because you’re not giving me a fair match.
Captain Charisma: Ya know, Ronan, you didn’t have this much of an issue with people being ringside when it was YOU ringside for Sierra and Candice matches. Matter of fact, you mentioned Korey Gaines interfering in your business earlier, but you were the first person to interfere in his, being the non legal man, who jumped up on the apron, and punched him in the face.
Ronan Malosi: I- I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Captain Charisma: So, you’re just gonna lie to my face as if there is no evidence of you doing so?
Ronan Malosi: Believe me, Captain, out of all things, I am not a liar. I have kids, two daughters, who I am a role model to, and they’re actually big fans of yours. They admire how you’re… how you’re…
Captain Charisma: You seem to be struggling to find the words here, Ronan.
Ronan Malosi: No, uhm, they… they admire how sharp dressed and intelligent you are. Do you want to possibly tarnish your image in their eyes by wronging their father?
Captain Charisma: No, which is why I hope that they can forgive me, because I’m still not gonna ban either woman from ringside.
(Ronan sighs, and proceeds to swallow his pride before going down to a knee in front of Captain Charisma’s desk, prompting boos from the audience, who are disgusted with Ronan’s desperation.)
Ronan Malosi: I’m on my knees here, man to man, asking you to PLEASE reconsider for next week.
Captain Charisma: Ronan, just stop it, okay? There is no amount of begging, and there is amount of pleading that can change my mind about next week. So, I recommend you get up off my floor, dust yourself off, and head to the ring for your match while you’ve at least got some dignity intact.
(Ronan grits his teeth while standing back up, and stares down Captain Charisma briefly before shaking his head as he walks out the office, shocked and annoyed that nothing seemed to work. The camera follows Malosi as he turns the corner-)
James Peters: HALSEY, SIERRA, AND CANDICE HAVE SWARMED MALOSI LIKE A PACK OF WOLVES, PINNING MALOSI UP AGAINST TWO PRODUCTION CRATES STACKED ON ONE ANOTHER!
Rich Russillo: THIS IS SMART BY THOSE THREE WOMEN, LEAVING HIM NOWHERE ELSE TO GO AS HES SWARMED WITH PUNCHES! MALOSI IS DOING HIS BEST TO COVER UP, BUT THE BIGGER AND STRONGER IS CLEARLY BEING OVERWHELMED BY THESE THREE!
Persephone: I CAN’T HELP BUT FEEL A LITTLE BIT BAD FOR MALOSI! DO YOU THINK CAPTAIN CHARISMA SHOULD HAVE BANNED THOSE THREE WOMEN FROM RINGSIDE?!
James Peters: AS CAPTAIN CHARISMA SAID, RONAN HAS BROUGHT THIS ALL UPON HIMSELF, AND I CAN’T HELP BUT AGREE IN A WAY!
Rich Russillo: SPEAKING OF, RONAN IS SHOWING SOME SIGNS OF LIFE, PUSHING BOTH SIERRA AND CANDICE BACK, AND DELIVERING A RIGHT HAND SHOT TO THE FACE OF HALSEY THAT STAGGERS HER!
James Peters: MAYBE CAPTAIN CHARISMA WAS RIGHT, MAYBE RONAN CAN HANDLE THESE THREE WOMAN! OF COURSE, BEING BIGGER AND BEING STRONGER, WHICH IS PAYING DIVIDENDS RIGHT NOW!
Rich Russillo: RONAN GRABS HALSEY BY THE THROAT, AND MIGHT BE LOOKING FOR A CHOKESLAM! BUT MALOSI DID NOT NEUTRALIZE THE THREAT THAT WAS CANDICE AND SIERRA COMPLETELY, CAUSING HIM TO GET A SPINNING WHEEL KICK TO THE BACK OF HIS HEAD BY CANDICE!
Persephone: MY GOODNESS! :roman:
James Peters: RONAN GOES DOWN TO A KNEE, AND RELINQUISHES HIS GRIP FROM AROUND HALSEY’S THROAT, WHO CATCHES HER BREATH BEFORE DELIVERING A ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE KNEELING MALOSI!
Rich Russillo: RONAN GOES DOWN TO ALL FOURS, AND SIERRA EVERETT GETS HER SHOT IN ON RONAN AS WELL, DELIVERING A RUNNING BIG BOOT TO THE SIDE OF HIS SKULL, PINNING HIS HEAD IN BETWEEN HER BOOT AND A PRODUCTION CRATE!
James Peters: RONAN’S LIGHTS APPEAR TO BE KNOCKED OUT, AND ALL THREE WOMEN AREN’T DONE YET, STOMPING HIM WHILE HE’S DOWN!
Persephone: I thought his match was next! Are we gonna have one, or… :lupe:
Rich Russillo: It appears as these three are dragging Malosi to the ring! He’s unconscious, this isn’t fair!
James Peters: In case you haven’t guessed, these women don’t care about fairness.
(Halsey and Candice grab hold of an unconscious Ronan’s arms each, and start dragging him towards the ring while Sierra Everett trails them, smirking as she’s confident of her chances heading into the match.)
(Voltage cuts to a teaser for the upcoming Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi game with Harper Lee.)
(Sunday Night Voltage fades back into the arena, the crowd murmuring after the chaotic scene that they’ve just witnessed on the titantron backstage. It’s clearly a confusing situation, especially considering Ronan and Sierra are supposed to have a match up next, but they don’t have to wait very long for a follow-up…)
Rich Russillo: Well if the damage hasn’t already been done, it seems like the Anti-Ronan crew have found themselves dragging his carcass toward the ring!
(Ronan Malosi is seen stumbling out from the backstage curtain, falling down to the ground and being met with a loud negative reaction despite all the pain that he’s going through now. He’s disheveled and out of breath, desperately trying to crawl toward the ring and away from the three women that are following suit. The camera quickly goes over to Sierra Everett, Candice Blair, and of course Halsey Neel making their entrance and trailing close behind him. Ronan is wheezing trying to gather himself, but it’s clear if he could say anything right now, he’d be begging the three of them to stop.)
Persephone: Certainly not the warm reception he was hoping to get, huh? :mjlol:
(Sierra, in the middle of the trio, looks to both Candice and Halsey. She gestures to the back, signaling that she’s got this handled from here. Candice has a smirk on her face as she nods before turning around, and Halsey, with a sneer, reluctantly does the same, always hoping to inflict some more damage when she gets the chance. Sierra cracks her knuckles and pops her neck, taking off her entrance gear and beginning to make her way down the ramp, with Ronan somehow already clutching at the ring apron.)
James Peters: Sierra is merciless right now and Ronan has nowhere to go, I think this match might be over before it starts the way that it’s going!
Rich Russillo: I wouldn’t count Ronan out just yet, knowing him he might have a trick or two up his sleeve that he’s been waiting to use. Sierra has to be confident beyond comprehension right now and if he’s smart he knows that he’s going to have to use that against her and catch her off guard. How he’s going to do that is up to him…
(Ronan pulls himself into the ring, trying to drag himself further away, but Sierra isn’t looking to let up, rolling into the ring as well and approaching. The referee officiating this match is right there though, trying to separate the two so he can ring the bell to get this match going. Sierra is barking at Ronan trying to get her hands on him, but knowing the type of satisfaction that she can get out of a win against him is too much, and she ultimately complies…)
James Peters: I GUESS YOU WERE RIGHT, RICH! RONAN WITH A CHEAP SHOT TO THE FACE OF SIERRA SENDING HER BACK! HE WAS PLAYING POSSUM!
Persephone: That scoundrel! That Disney backstabber! I’m telling you, he’ll pay for this tomfoolery! He’ll pay for all of this monstrosity!
(Ronan gets back up to his feet and shoves the referee away with ease, Sierra stumbling back into the corner and falling prey to Ronan who begins to stomp down repeatedly on her gut! ‘The International Treasure’ is absolutely relentless right now, trying to get as much damage as he can in compensation for what happened backstage. The referee isn’t just going to stand around and let that happen though, once again splitting both of them up with Ronan complying, satisfied with the sneak attack. He makes his way over to his corner, ripping off his entrance jacket and getting ready while the referee checks on Sierra, who is slowly rising in her corner and nodding her head. Ronan is yelling to ring the bell and after sometime…)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: This match is underway, AND AS EXPECTED RONAN IS RIGHT BACK ON THE ATTACK! He sends rapid-fire blows to the face of a temporarily weakened Sierra, and takes the opportunity while he can to really lay it in! Ronan relishes in this moment just a bit longer, before grabbing her by the head and dragging her toward the center of the ring, and there’s no way he has this in mind already! He has her in the Inverted Headlock, and we know what follows…
James Peters: RONAN RUNS TO THE ROPES AND LEAPS INTO THE AIR FOR THE RUNNING NORTHERN LARIAT! ‘DEATH BLOW’ ATTEMPT RIGHT OFF THE BAT!
Persephone: BUT SIERRA THANKFULLY SEES IT COMING AND DUCKS UNDER THAT! Phew, close call.
Rich Russillo: Ronan tumbles down to the ground but manages to skid dawn to a knee, he’s definitely taken aback by that, AND FURTHERMORE BY SIERRA RUNNING TOWARD HIM AND TAKING HIS HEAD CLEAN OFF WITH A SHINING WIZARD! This is not what Ronan wanted to happen, and now Sierra drops down and grabs him by the head before beginning to land some punches of her own in return! THe hatred that these two have for one another is immense, and they’re making it known right now especially this early! Sierra takes a step back away from Ronan, and that gives him a moment of reprieve and gives him the opportunity to get back up to his feet, ONLY FOR SIERRA TO RUSH FORWARD AND ATTEMPT TO CONNECT WITH A KNEE STRIKE TO THE FACE!
James Peters: BUT RONAN MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! Sierra falls against the ropes trying to keep herself upright, BUT RONAN IS ONE STEP AHEAD, RUNNING FORWARD AND SENDING HER OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CLOTHESLINE! Sierra skims the ropes and lands on the outside, dipping down to a knee but falling backward into the barricade to help her get up faster. Ronan isn’t going to let his foot off the gas pedal, rolling out of the ring and making his way over, BEFORE GRABBING SIERRA BY THE HEAD AND SLAMMING HER AGAINST THE EDGE OF THE BARRICADE! He then grabs a hold of her and inches closer to the ring… LIFTING HER OFF OF THE GROUND BEFORE DROPPING HER WITH A RELEASE BACK SUPLEX ONTO THE APRON!
Rich Russillo: You can hear the cry of pain from here, and it’s clear that Sierra got more than what she bargained for out of the ringside area seeing her quickly roll back into the ring and away from Ronan. Ronan though, isn’t going to let her go so easily, rolling back into the ring himself and quickly pinning her shoulders to the mat!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO-
James Peters: SIERRA KICKS OUT! Ronan is going to have to do a lot more than that and he knows it. He’s winding up that right arm of his, looming over Sierra and just waiting for her to get back up to her feet. It’s something that she does in due time, though she finds an immense struggle with that considering the damage she’s already taken so far. She gets back up to her feet, turning around to face Ronan… ONLY TO BE TAKEN BACK DOWN BY HIS PATENTED ‘DREAM CRUSHER’! RIGHT HOOK TO THE SIDE OF THE FACE!
Rich Russillo: SIERRA DUCKS UNDER! She saw it coming just as she saw the ‘Death Blow’, and you can see the frustration beginning to build on the face of Ronan Malosi. Ronan attempts another swing to the head! But Sierra ducks under that again, BEFORE LEAPING INTO THE AIR AND CONNECTING WITH A HIGH KNEE TO THE FACE OF RONAN! Ronan is hurt by that and it gives Sierra the opportunity to turn around and run to the ropes… ONLY FOR RONAN TO GRAB HER INTO ‘VERTIGO’! DEEP SIX ATTEMPT TO DRIVE SIERRA INTO THE GROUND AND TAKE HER OUT-
James Peters: BUT SIERRA WITH A KNEE TO THE FACE MANAGES TO GET OUT OF THERE! She stumbles forward and dips down to a knee while Ronan stumbles backward, grabbing at his face. He’s practically seething right now and looks to get his hands on her, grabbing her by the head, but before that can happen Sierra sends a sharp elbow to his abdomen! That forces Ronan back while she has an opportunity to get back up to her feet, RUSHING FORWARD AND LEAPING INTO THE AIR BEFORE SPIKING HIS HEAD DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS WITH A HUGE TORNADO DDT! Ronan clutches at his head while Sierra stumbles backward and catches herself in a corner, eyeing him for something big right now. Ronan has no clue where he is, and it’s clear right now that he’s against the ropes and is going to have to work toward a way to get himself out of this tricky situation. Sierra isn’t going to give him anymore time to breathe… GOING FOR ‘APHRODITE’S KISS’! ROLLING CUTTER TO RONAN!
Persephone: BUT RONAN CATCHES HER WITH THAT WEAK RIGHT HOOK!
Rich Russillo: ‘DREAM CRUSHER’ TAKES SIERRA OUT AND RONAN CRUMBLES DOWN ON TOP OF HER FOR A PIN ATTEMPT, COULD THIS BE IT?!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTHHHHHRRRRRRR-
James Peters: BUT SIERRA WITH A GASP OF AIR MANAGES TO SHOOT HER SHOULDER UP!
(Ronan sits up and slams his fist to the ground, glaring at the referee before getting back up to his feet. It’s clear he did everything in his power to make sure that this match ended quickly, especially with the sneak attack, but Sierra has proven that not to be the easiest task right now. She looks to put a stop to his plans and it’s really getting to him.)
Rich Russillo: Ronan approaches Sierra and grabs him by the head, pulling him up to his feet and looking to inflict some more damage. He drags her over to a corner before tossing her in, beginning to slam repeated body shots toward her gut! He’s possibly looking to conserve some energy while continuing his assault, and once he’s done his fist attack, HE SEIZES HER BY THE NECK AND SENDS HER FLYING ACROSS THE RING! Sierra takes a hard tumble and you can tell that it’s getting harder and harder for her to come back from all of this, but she continues to do so and that does not at all make Ronan a very happy camper. Sierra is once again back to her feet, BUT RONAN HAS HER BY THE THROAT AND ATTEMPTS TO TAKE HER DOWN TO THE GROUND WITH A CHOKEHOLD STO!
Persephone: But Sierra says begone with that kinky stuff and begins to send elbows to the side of his head!
James Peters: Sierra is fighting back, trying to force the grip of Ronan to somehow loosen, even if that doesn’t happen it stops him and allows her to send a stiff boot to his abdomen! He ultimately let’s go of the hold as the better option, BUT RUNS FORWARD AND GOES FOR A LARIAT TO THE HEAD! ONLY FOR SIERRA TO DUCK UNDER! Ronan grits his teeth and rushes toward Sierra again, only for her to get out of the way and send him to the ropes instead… HAVING HIM FALL RIGHT INTO ‘CASH IN, CASH OUT’! RUNNING SPRINGBOARD COMPLETE SHOT TAKES HIM OUT AND SIERRA QUICKLY GOES TO HOOK THE LEG FOR A THREE COUNT!
OOONNNEEE!!!
TTTTWWWWOOOO!!!!
TTTTTTHHHHHRRRRRRRRRREEE-
Persephone: But surprisingly, by the grace of God, Ronan manages to kick out!
Rich Russillo: Sierra does not at all look happy about that, but gets back up to her feet regardless and keeps her foot on the gas pedal in this match.
(Ronan stumbles up to his feet, while Sierra, scrunching her face momentarily, begins to approach him.)
Sierra Everett: (Off-Mic) You just don’t know when to quit, do you?
Persephone: EW! RONAN JUST SPIT IN HER FACE, DISGUSTING? DOESN’T HE KNOW THAT WE’RE STILL IN A PANDEMIC???
(Sierra stumbles back, wiping her face with her eyes closed shut, Ronan only laughing in response to this.)
James Peters: Sierra is taken aback by this, and it’s apparent that she’s more pissed off than ever after the sign of disrespect that Ronan just gave her. She shakes it off though and continues, BUT THAT GAVE RONAN THE OPPORTUNITY TO GO UNDER AND POP SIERRA UP FOR A BACK BODY DROP WHICH SENDS HER FLYING IN THE AIR! Sierra is taken down to the ground but quickly grabs a hold of the ropes to get back up to her feet, ONLY FOR RONAN TO GRAB HER AROUND THE WAIST AND SPIN HER AROUND INTO A SPINEBUSTER! Sierra grabs her back but is still pushing, getting back up, but Ronan just popped her up into a Fireman’s Carry position… LIFTING HER INTO A ‘MALOSI MAELSTROM’ F10!
Rich Russillo: Not the position that Sierra wants to be in at all now, barely even able to get up thanks to the comeback that Ronan is slowly beginning to build up. Sierra is beginning to pull herself toward the corner, using all the strength that she can in her body right now to get back up. She knows that Ronan isn’t just going to stop, he’s going to make sure that she hurts, and she’s going to have to get out of this position fast if she wants to even be in consideration for winning this match tonight on Voltage. She brings herself up, but Ronan already has her by the arm, sending her into an Irish whip toward the corner to get a running start… BEFORE LEAPING INTO THE AIR AND CRUSHING HER WITH A HUGE BODY SPLASH!
James Peters: RONAN THEN REELS HIS ARM BACK AND GOES FOR A CLOTHESLINE TO THE HEAD- But Sierra manages to duck under it and make her way toward the center of the ring! Ronan quickly slides out of the ring though, rounding the ringpost and sliding back in through the other side, TAKING HER HEAD OFF WITH A HUGE CLOTHESLINE!
(Ronan nurses his wounds before looking after the crowd here tonight, a smirk growing on his face while he spreads his arms out and lets the negative reaction that he’s getting right now soak in.)
Ronan Malosi: (Off-Mic) I told you! Sierra Everett is only half the performer that I am and she’s proving it the way she’s flopping around like a fish! This match is mine! Now get over here so I can finish this…
Rich Russillo: RONAN GOT TOO DISTRACTED AND LET SIERRA RECOVER, TACKLING HIM DOWN TO THE GROUND AND BEGINNING TO TEE OFF WITH REPEATED FOREARM STRIKES TO THE FACE! Sierra took advantage and now is beginning to pick apart Ronan right here! He’s trying his best to get out of here right now but Sierra is throwing everything that she can right now in hopes of weakening him and shifting the offense in her favor! Sierra pushes herself back up to her feet while Ronan tries to get back up to her feet, ONLY FOR HER TO CONNECT WITH A KNEE STRIKE TO THE FACE! She takes him down to the ground while Sierra runs to the ropes and back… BEFORE FLATTENING HIM WITH A LEG DROP!
James Peters: Ronan tries to get back up to his feet, BUT WHILE HE’S IN A KNEELING POSITION IT’S SIERRA THAT LEAPS UP INTO THE AIR AND GRABS HIM BY THE HEAD AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A JUMPING DDT! And now Sierra is just beginning to stomp down repeatedly on him, just trying to make sure that there is zero opportunity for him to come back! Ronan though is trying to make sure that he can somehow get some offense rolling by getting himself out of this, wasting absolutely no time rolling under the ropes and out of the ring. Sierra is back up to her feet, with a shot of adrenaline as she runs to the ropes and back… LAUNCHING HERSELF THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE AND TAKING RONAN DOWN TO THE GROUND WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! Ronan is slowly beginning to get back up to his feet, but Sierra slid into the ring and is already full speed ahead… DROPPING HIM WITH A SECOND SUICIDE DIVE!
Rich Russillo: Sierra then grabs Ronan and rolls him back into the ring, getting back inside herself and bringing him back up to his feet. Sierra grabs Ronan by the arm and sends him to the ropes with an Irish whip… GOING FOR A CLOTHESLINE TO THE HEAD! BUT RONAN DUCKS UNDER! He continues his sprint, rushing to the opposite side of the ring and back…
James Peters: RONAN GOES FOR THE NORTHERN LARIAT AGAIN! ‘DEATH BLOW’ TO THE BACK OF SIERRA’S HEAD!
Rich Russillo: BUT SIERRA MANAGES TO DUCK UNDER! Ronan falls forward but quickly turns around, catching Sierra running toward him just in the nick of time…
James Peters: BRINGING HIM INTO A ‘DEATH-RO’! END OF DAYS!
Rich Russillo: BUT SIERRA USES THE MOMENTUM TO CONTINUE TO FLIP OVER AND OUT OF THE FINISHING MOVE! RONAN GOES FOR A SWING TO THE HEAD- BUT SIERRA DUCKS UNDER THAT… BEFORE LEAPING INTO THE AIR AND DROPPING RONAN WITH A DOUBLE KNEE BACKBREAKER…
James Peters: AND LOCKING IN THE CROSSFACE! ‘PENDULUM SHIFT’ IS LOCKED IN, AND RONAN IS JUST SCREAMING FOR MERCY RIGHT NOW!
Rich Russillo: HE’S GOT NOWHERE TO GO, DEAD CENTER OF THE RING WITH NOBODY TO RUN TO, AND SIERRA IS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THAT BY PULLING THAT HEAD BACK AS MUCH AS SHE CAN! SHE’S TRYING TO GET HIM TO TAP OUT RIGHT NOW AND RONAN IS DOING EVERYTHING THAT HE CAN IN HOPE TO PREVENT THAT! BUT THERE DOESN’T SEEM TO BE MUCH ESCAPE IN SIGHT, AND IF RONAN DOESN’T GET OUT OF THIS RIGHT NOW HE MIGHT NOT HAVE A CHOICE BUT TO END THIS MATCH WITH A LOSS!
James Peters: RONAN IS FLAILING AROUND, BUT RIGHT NOW I DON’T THINK IT SEEMS TO BE MUCH USE EITHER! HE’S SLOWING, IF HE DOESN’T TAP OUT OF THIS HOLD RIGHT NOW, THEN HE’S GOING TO END UP PASSING OUT AND LOSING THIS MATCH! THE FATE OF THIS MATCH LIES IN THIS ONE MOMENT AND RONAN KNOWS IT, DESPERATELY TRYING TO GET OUT OF THIS! BUT HIS ATTEMPTS PROVE USELESS AS HE SEEMS TO BE SLOWLY FADING AWAY FROM ALL THE DAMAGE THAT HE’S TAKING RIGHT NOW…
Persephone: HE’S OUT! HE’S OUT! OH THANK THE LORD!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… SIERRA EVERETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rich Russillo: Well this is certainly nothing to be calling home about if I were Ronan Malosi. Even after the valiant effort it was Sierra who managed to get her hand raised in victory when it was all said and done. This is certainly something that Halsey Neel has over him heading into their long awaited match against one another.
James Peters: Ronan has to be fuming right now but for the time being Sierra finds herself with the victory heading into her Specialists Championship match at Tempest. What a match, what an ending, and of course, congratulations to Sierra.
(‘Spaceship II’ by Alex Wiley & Chance The Rapper is heard playing through the speakers while Sierra Everett quickly gets back up to her feet after releasing the submission hold, a sinister grin on her face while the referee raises her hand in the air. She can’t help but laugh at what happened here tonight, still nursing her wounds as she boasts her victory for everyone to see.)
(Commercial for Scream 6, with Ronan Malosi explaining how much scarier Ghostface is this time. He’s almost as much of a threat as Ronan!)
(Sunday Night Voltage comes back from commercials, and instead of going directly to the arena, it showed a completely different set. After the few times that this set has been shown on air, it was clear where the show was at now, as the camera panned around and showed the Fight Grid set in all of its glory located at EAW Headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. As usual, the person standing behind the desk was Fight Grid Host Molly Waters, with her usual bright and joyous smile that she always had.)
Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Fight Grid! Your source for all news throughout the Land of Elite with yours truly, Molly Waters. I think by this point I don’t need to explain why I am here, I have appeared enough times to let you all know that I am here for a very special occasion, and you are all probably wondering who or what I am going to talk about. Last time I talked about the special rivalry that Drake King and TLA had over the years and tonight will be nothing different, but instead of a rivalry stemming from sheer hatred and facing your opposite, it will be all about friendship in chaos. About two women who didn’t care about what the world thought about them and stood beside each other, because in a sense, they were all that they had at the end, and when it came to it, one of them didn’t believe in that friendship anymore and decided to cut it. Yes, we are talking about the Hardcore Championship match at Tempest between Hikari Kanno and Miku Sakai!
Molly Waters: Having to talk about the journey these two women had to take won’t be done justice by simply doing a recap of what’s happened. So I think it’s fair that we be able to sit down with them and get their own side of the story and what happened after all of the time that they have been apart, so without wasting anymore time, let’s get right to it!
(Molly grabbed the remote control off her desk and turned on the television right next to her, as the camera slowly closed in on the television and started to show footage. Instead of the usual way Molly’s interviews were recorded, the camera was directly placed right in front of the interviewee, as there was only silence for a few seconds before footsteps could be heard. The footage cut around the two interviews, as the first interview showed Hikari sitting down with a normal and calm expression on her face, the Hardcore Championship in her hand, and the second interview having Miku sit down as well, in a very annoyed and bad mood having to come here and conduct this interview, as she obviously had some bottled up emotions that one way or another would have to be let out.)
Molly Waters: Let me start this off with two simple questions. What is your name?
(The interviews cut around as the responses of the women were each shown back to back.)
Hikari Kanno: Hikari Kanno.
Miku Sakai: Miku Sakai.
Molly Waters: What does that name mean to you?
Miku Sakai: Intangible.
Hikari Kanno: …Penitent.
Molly Waters: Alright, let’s get down to it, after everything that has happened, what are your thoughts on IDOL-GUN as a whole?
Hikari Kanno: Destiny turned into tragedy.
Miku Sakai: … Something special that actually meant something, at least to me.
(It then started to show footage of when IDOL-GUN first debuted, catching everybody’s attention from the get-go due to their loud mouthed attitude and their incredibly controversial actions and words, going up against established stars from the start like Ms. Extreme, Terry Chambers, SOSA Henderson, Myles, Minerva and using those special moments to make the people remember who they were. Either through the sheer talent they had as singles or a tag team, or simply doing the sick thing that came up to their heads that day, it didn’t take them long to reach gold, going up against three other teams at King of Elite and coming out the other side being Unified Tag Team Championships.)
Hikari Kanno: I am not going to drown all of you with lies and change what the past meant to me, I am going to be truthful in saying that I enjoyed being in IDOL-GUN with Miku. There was not a single moment that I regret simply going out there and having fun with someone who didn’t care about what other people thought about her, having an army of pathetic people who only wanted to do whatever they wanted for you. Pulling pranks and acting like those cliche bully girls from those 2000’s movies ramped up to 100, it was fun to just go out there and cause chaos with another person who wanted to do the same, and casually, we ended up picking up tag championships along the way and things went good for us. If you combine talent with talent, you will get more talent, that was me and Miku together.
Miku Sakai: I do not give a single [BLEEP] about what Hikari says about IDOL-GUN, and I do not give a second [BLEEP] either about Disney owning us now. I am talking like I usually talk for this interview, IDOL-GUN was one of the best times of my life, because me and Hikari promised to each other that we would be famous and filthy rich after we failed as idols and we believed our dreams there wouldn’t be able to be accomplished, so we came here and absolutely wrecked this place down to the ground. It was IDOL-GUN or nothing, it was us against the world and nobody could stand against us together, because we were two bad [BLEEP] with nothing to lose and everything to gain. We wanted to take the world for ourselves and make everybody know it was entirely ours forever! They always say it is lonely up at the top so I just decided it was better to accomplish that together with someone who wanted the same and we just didn’t look back since we promised that.
(Even though there were a few times where they faced defeat and split apart, when they eventually lost the Unified Tag Team Championships against Harlow and Xavier, and Hikari had to deal with an injury while Miku went for the Specialists Championship, the two came back together despite that and tried to continue their so called domination against the entirety of EAW. Maybe after all of what happened, maybe after their losses or Hikari’s injury, something changed between them, because after their match and eventual loss against Ms. Extreme and Dr. Bethany Blue, that looming worry that was in the background finally revealed itself and it all exploded into Hikari attacking Miku and breaking up IDOL-GUN.)
Molly Waters: What are your thoughts on IDOL-GUN’s break up?
Hikari Kanno: …It hurt. It hurt doing that to someone who I have known for a long time and I considered a friend, I know I was the one who ended up putting the knife through Miku’s back, but I explained myself why I did it, it wasn’t out of malice, it wasn’t from a disdain towards Miku, it was simply because I didn’t want to keep doing the same thing over and over and get nothing out of it. It was fun being able to have those moments with Miku together, but after the matches that I had against Ms. Extreme and Mr. DEDEDE, I showed I could be something more than being an insulting mean girl duo with Miku that already reached its peak in the first month of life. I said it before already, having that injury gave me time to reflect on everything that happened, and even though despite everything, I still love Miku as a friend, and I guess my frustration from not being able to reach anywhere at all and see Miku succeed all by herself, ended up exploding into me attacking her. But as you can see here in my hands, that decision did end up meaning something.
(It then showed footage of Hikari’s long and arduous journey to grab Championship gold, all of it culminating with her finally winning the Hardcore Championship.)
Miku Sakai: What are my thoughts? Backstabbing [BLEEP]. Hikari Kanno is a [BLEEP]. That is all I can say about it because I knew that woman since we were kids. I said already how much that friendship meant to me, she was the only person I showed compassion to because she wanted to be alongside me. But after looking back at everything that she did when we wanted to be idols together, her actions and her attitude behind my back, how she actually acted after all of this time? Maybe those rumors were true, maybe that friendship I had with her was fake all along. But despite that, it was real to me. So it boils my blood like anything else hearing that interview she had with you and your dumbass smile Molly on the Voltage after Grand Rampage, you know why it took me so long to come back? Having to deal with that injury I had and my own mind holding me back on watching that interview, wanting to hear Hikari’s words and why she actually did it. So when I finally watched that I just exploded into rage. Did she really think that I would still love her? That I would understand her attacking me and leaving me on the ground all alone? You can hate me all you want for what you want and how I do things, but the woman I am facing is nothing more than a gaslighting and lying [BLEEP] who wants to paint herself as the good person in this tale, but I am still here despite her!
(And just then, the footage of Hikari celebrating her Championship win would be cut off with footage of Miku making her return and attacking Hikari after her match against Samael.)
Molly Waters: Miku, I asked Hikari the same question at the start and she said she considered herself penitent, do you agree with that?
Miku Sakai: Of course she wants to take the high road now and say she actually regrets doing all of those things, stabbing me in the back. She simply wants to take advantage of my own nature and seem like she is the good person in this story, but she is simply trying to gaslight all of you, because why would you consider someone a friend after they attacked you and laid you out and tried to still say they loved you. You said you grew jealous of me while you were injured and when I grabbed success by its balls, but when you came back I didn’t throw you away, I didn’t think you were worthless, I stuck with you, even in the most horrible mood I was when I lost the Specialists Championship, I knew I could rely on you because you were my friend, but now? Everything that will come to you is going to be deserved.
Molly Waters: Hikari, I asked Miku the same question at the start and she said she considered herself intangible, do you agree with that?
Hikari Kanno: Heh, despite all of that time, I am not surprised she said that kind of answer, that is the one of the main driving forces for me taking that decision, because Miku is the kind of person to bite off more than she can chew. That dream of us wanting to take over the world, of only IDOL-GUN? It was some stupid and impossible objective for us to reach considering that we reached the peak of what a tag team can do here in EAW so quickly and we lost it just like that. That was always the one thing that irritated me because she set for herself impossible objectives that she could not reach and thinking we could still be together after everything was one of them. I just did what was necessary for my career, and I am not going to let Miku ruin things for her now after all of the hard work I put in and all of the time I spent.
Molly Waters: And then, my final question, what do you plan to do at Tempest?
(It was then that the screen split into two and it showed both Miku and Hikari side-to-side as they gave their answer at the same time.)
Miku Sakai & Hikari Kanno: I plan to leave the match as Hardcore Champion.
(And just as that line was said, the video package ended and Voltage slowly faded away from the Fight Grid set and into a commercial break.)
(Promotional ad for Super Voltage II.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: The following non-title match is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!
(‘Rhapsody in Pink’ by Stela Cole (Clean Version) hits to boos from the crowd.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first from Anaheim, California weighing in at 130 pounds she is “The Face of Disney” CANDICEEEEEEEEEEEE BLAIRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
(Candice Blair makes her way out to the ring wearing Mickey Mouse ears. She has several that she passes out to the fans at ringside. One fan is shown refusing to wear them and throws them back at her. Candice looks at the fan in disgust before gesturing to a security guard to have them thrown out of the arena before making her way into the ring.)
Persephone: What a queen! This woman represents everything that EAW and Disney is about! Everything that it can be! We must stan her!
Rich Russillo: Well some people think she is a bit conceited and don’t really embrace what she is all about. That doesn’t include me of course. I’m totally on board with EAW’s current direction! One hundred percent!
James Peters: We all are of course. We aren’t even being coerced into saying so! Candice has a tough opponent here tonight. It might not even be a title match but this is going to be one hell of a contest to be sure!
(‘DESTINY’ by Saori Yoshida hits to cheers from the crowd.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent, from Chandler, Arizona.. Weighing in at 110 pounds, she is the EAW Specialists Champion… ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIAAAAAAA!!!!!
(ARIA makes her way to the ring to cheers from the crowd. She stops by the fan who Candice Blair was harassing earlier and gives them an Ice Aces t-shirt which they accept graciously. Candice is shown complaining in the ring they haven’t even been thrown out yet as ARIA enters the ring prepared for tonight’s match.)
Rich Russillo: Here comes the Specialists Champ! And she is looking to have a very special match here tonight!
James Peters: Candice Blair better watch herself. ARIA has proven she is one not to be underestimated!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Rich Russillo: Lets gooooo! The crowd is super hyped for this match. They circle around the ring as they are both ready and raring to go. The lock up! In the middle! No! Candice Blair backs away from ARIA with a smirk on her face. ARIA throws a phantom punch but Candice doesn’t even flinch and just laughs it off. Candice not allowing ARIA to punk her out! Quick footwork by ARIA staying on Candice not allowing her to catch her off guard as suddenly Candice gets serious backing off not going to let ARIA play on her terms. The crowd is clearly behind ARIA here as Candice is getting all kinds of hatred from the crowd. Candice has had enough waiting about as she charges in! The lockup between these two women officially kicks this match off!
James Peters: ARIA quickly transitions Candice Blair into a Side Headlock! ARIA got her! But Candice falls back into the ropes using her power and the momentum to shove ARIA off her across the ring. ARIA runs across and comes running back right into a Running Clothesline from Candice knocking the wind out of ARIA and taking her down to the mat! ARIA back up scattering backwards into the corner as Candice raises a fist in the air victorious. Candice is shown smiling and humming a Disney-sounding tune as she smiles at ARIA who is not having it and is visibly annoyed. ARIA not going to let Candice get in her head either as she is right back into the hustle looking to lock up with Candice once again. They lock up as Candice quickly applies the headlock on ARIA! No ARIA slips out of it! ARIA grabs the arm of Candice and jumps up pulling her backwards into a Crucifix Pin! ARIA stealing one in the opening minutes of this contest!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
Rich Russillo: Kickout by Candice Blair! That was close! Too close! ARIA now mocking the confidence that Candice has clearly just lost with that maneuver there as they continue to one up on each other here tonight! Candice looks outraged before she calms herself down and gives ARIA a mocking clap. Candice extends her hand out to ARIA to show her respect and sportsmanship for her success with that maneuver. But there is no way ARIA is going to accept that! ARIA instead grabs the hand and tosses Candice across the ring with an arm drag! Candice back up as they go to lock up in the ring but ARIA immediately pulls Candice into a Small Package!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
James Peters: Another close call there by ARIA! And Candice Blair is absolutely seething! She has had enough of these games from ARIA as she charges in wildly pummeling at ARIA with repeated strikes battering her backwards into the corner! But ARIA uses this to grab Candice and tosses her into the corner instead! ARIA kicking and punching on Candice until the referee forces her to intervene.
Persephone: Tis a shame the referee will have to disqualify her. I was enjoying this match so very much.
Rich Russillo: Well luckily that isn’t going to happen then. You’re ridiculous. Another lockup in the middle of the ring! No! Candice Blair instead goes low kicking ARIA hard in the gut causing her to keel over. Candice with a hard right hand right to the face of ARIA knocking her down on her back. The crowd booing loudly as Candice taunts them clearly not impressed by what the people have to think of her. ARIA claws her way back up her leg but Candice just punches her hard in the face yet again. Candice enjoying her moment of dominance in the match as ARIA gets back up. But this time she ducks under the punch from Candice! ARIA off the ropes with a Running Double Axe Handle to the face of Candice! But Candice ducks it! Candice from behind on ARIA with a School Girl rollup!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Referee: THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-
James Peters: This time it was Candice Blair just a millisecond away from stealing the match from ARIA! If one of these women lets their guard down it could be over just like that! Both competitors back up as Candice grabs on ARIA and shoves her down to the mat. Candice stomping away at ARIA preventing her from getting back up as Candice seems to be controlling this match so far. ARIA back up with Candice holding onto her arm which she then uses to whip ARIA across the ring into the corner. But ARIA hits the corner with such force she bounces off landing face first in the middle of the ring. Candice continuing to stomp away on ARIA with a smile on her face as she regains her poise and smiles to the audience with a dramatic wave which only results in further boos.
Persephone: What a precious princess! Everyone show some respect!
Rich Russillo: ARIA back up as Candice Blair kicks her in the gut… but ARIA counters the Suplex hitting one of her own in the ring before sliding onto Candice for the cover!!! No! Candice was playing possum! Candice quickly grabs ARIA and wrestles into position behind her applying in a surprise Sleeper Hold! Candice looking to put ARIA out cold! But ARIA not going to allow herself to be trapped! She is fighting out of it! Fighting back up to her feet! Hard punches to the gut and ARIA eventually frees herself! But she just eats a Pump Kick to the face from Candice dropping ARIA once more! Candice is rolling!
James Peters: ARIA back up as Candice Blair immediately drops her with a snap Suplex! But Candice does not go to the cover! She goes for another Suplex! But ARIA fights out of it, shoving Candice up against the ropes! But Candice swings ARIA around, managing to toss her out of the ring to the floor! Candice wipes her hands clean as ARIA has been removed from the ring entirely!
Persephone: It’s sad that she was counted out. I was hoping for a more definitive finish.
Rich Russillo: The referee hasn’t even started to count yet! And Candice Blair is leaving the ring to attack ARIA on the floor so she might get counted out too! Candice helps ARIA up but ARIA fighting back with repeated strikes! ARIA grabs the arm of Candice and whips her hard into the steel steps! Candice is laid out on the outside and the crowd is getting hyped up! The referee is beginning to count but ARIA doesn’t care as she slams Candice’s face into the steel ring post! ARIA going for a back drop from that position but Candice manages to fight out of it with repeated elbows to the head! Candice falls behind ARIA and hooks the neck… REVERSE DDT connects from Candice and ARIA could be out for good! Candice slides into the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-
Rich Russillo: Kickout from ARIA! Candice Blair thought she had it won right then and there! Candice glaring at the referee with moody eyes as if to suggest blame on his part. But Candice has to abide by the referee’s judgment and turns back to her opponent. Candice yelling something arrogant that we can’t quite understand at her opponent. Candice is becoming enraged as ARIA gets back up again and suddenly ARIA counters her punch! ARIA fighting back! No! Clothesline from Candice! No! ARIA ducks beneath and runs off the ropes! ARIA comes flying back across the ring with a Running Crossbody! No! Candice counters in midair with a hard Dropkick to the core of ARIA! Perfect form! ARIA is taken down!

Persephone: Wow it’s all over for sure-
Rich Russillo: But ARIA immediately slips through the legs of Candice Blair rolling her up with a Sunset Flip!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-
Rich Russillo: The kickout by Candice Blair! She almost had destroyed ARIA there but ARIA with the awareness! You love to see it! But Candice clearly does not love to see it! Both women back up as Candice charges in wildly but ARIA moves out of the way causing Candice to run head first into the corner! Candice staggers backwards and ARIA captures her in a Sleeper Hold! James Peters: Candice Blair releases the Crossface in order to kick out and avoid taking the L here tonight! ARIA back up now but Candice rushes in… Candice with a Rushing Forearm Smash!!! She just crushed the skull of ARIA who has been completely laid out here tonight!
Persephone: Oh no! What if she can’t get up? That’s not a happy ending at all!
Rich Russillo: Candice Blair mockingly playing to the crowd acting like her arm hurts after that Rushing Forearm to the skull of ARIA. ARIA slowly back up as Candice looks to do it all over again! Candice rushes in with the Rushing Forearm to the skull of ARIA! It’s lights out for good this time! No! ARIA manages to get a boot up kicking Candice hard in the face sending her backwards! Referee: THRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(Just as the bell rang, before ARIA could do anything, the camera went over to two women quickly rushing down the ramp…)
Rich Russillo: OH! SIERRA EVERETT! HALSEY NEEL! THEY’RE HERE! THEY JUST RUSHED DOWN TO THE RING AND NOW THEY’RE ATTACKING THE SPECIALISTS CHAMPION!
(They quickly attacked ARIA and took her down with punches and kicks thrown her way, meanwhile Candice Blair sat herself against the bottom rope furthest away, taking the time to recover back up to her feet.)
James Peters: Another disgusting tactic here from these three women. It was last week when they all ganged up against their partners, and now they’re beating down ARIA here after the hardfought match that she had to endure against Candice!
Persephone: Hey, after all that ARIA and the Ice Aces has done to Eden and her team, they do deserve these kinds of things happening to them-
Rich Russillo: Persephone, you know since Eden isn’t here anymore, and technically this trio isn’t Team Eden anymore, you aren’t forced to do this bit any longer?
Persephone: …Oh my gawd, you are right, YES, I AM FREE! :blessed: Oh yeah, then nevermind, it is definitely an incredibly messed up thing attacking a woman three on one after she had a match, but I am all in support of seeing chaos happen so I can be less bored watching this show.
James Peters: :francis:
Rich Russillo: Now that is the Persephone I know and love. :salute:
(Candice eventually joined the two of them, leaving this as a full on assault with them beating down ARIA. Finally, as she could barely even move from the assault, Candice and Halsey held her down to the ground while Sierra rolled out of the ring while calmly grabbing the Specialists Championship and a microphone for herself from the timekeeper’s table. She entered back into the ring, simply letting out a sick laugh that drew loud boos from the crowd as she began talking.)
Sierra Everett: I mean, look at you now! Here you are, completely weak and defenseless, and this is exactly what I told you before, work smarter, not harder. Why would I simply go up to you, say that I have all the respect in the world for you, shake your hand and act like I don’t want to rip your throat out leading up to our match? It’s better I do this, weakening you physically and mentally and showing out in every single way possible heading into our match at Tempest. Come on, you really think you would get to live out your fairytale-esque life without any problems and believe it wouldn’t end abruptly by someone better than you? Because as it stands, ARIA, I am that woman who will cut you down and ruin everything that you have built up. You have your dEterMinAtIon, but you won’t be able to stop my undeniable greatness along with being the best **BLEEP** wrestler, and I don’t even need to lift my pinky to do that, I just need to show up and do what I always do. Be better doing less, be better not by doing what you do, but by just being Sierra Everett!
(The crowd boos even louder since obviously, nobody really likes Sierra being the kind of person she is, and she simply accepted all of the boos with delight as she began talking again.)
Sierra Everett: I mean, that is what you always say right? You just need to be yourself to succeed, no? Well, I will unapologetically be myself and do things my own way, go through my own path to reach the so-called top of the mountain, and my first step to that will be none other than ending your little reign. Your time? It is completely done when we fight at Tempest, and you can go ahead and kiss that title goodbye, because in just a few weeks, you will be losing that title to the ACTUAL Crown Jewel of EAW, and it will be the first title that I ever win here in EAW. I would rather like it to be a World Championship first, but I am not a picky eater, and it was your own fault that you wanted to get involved with me again after I beat you in our match like that. Oh well, might as well you just accept that it belongs to me now. At Tempest, I am taking that Specialists Championship!
(Sierra raises the Specialists Championship that was in her hand up in the air and poses with it as loud boos rang across the arena. She dropped the Championship and the microphone to the ground with Candice and Halsey getting off ARIA’s back and walking away. The three women got out of the ring and began walking up the ramp.
Rich Russillo: Well I don’t think the Specialists Champion is really going to take this lying down…
(ARIA clutches her gut, wheezing air while an official is seen sliding into the ring, beginning to check on her to see if she’s okay. She doesn’t look for any sympathy at the moment though, shooing him away before looking at the microphone that Sierra dropped in the ring. She coughs in pain before seizing the microphone, continuing to breathe heavily while she speaks into the microphone.)
ARIA: Hey…Sierra.
(Sierra, Halsey and Candice quickly stopped when ARIA began talking into the microphone. ARIA clearly was not in the best of shape, but right now looked like she would go for a round two between all three of them given the opportunity.)
ARIA: And what… What happens if I vowed to… destroy you and your two friends?
(The crowd cheered in response to what ARIA said as the three on the ramp were caught off guard by that, as they quickly turned around back toward ARIA. ARIA was unwavering though, falling backward against the ropes and taking a moment to breathe before pushing herself back up to her feet.)
ARIA: You know… you misunderstood everything that I said before, about what I believed in and thought was the truth. You know why I say that being myself is enough to succeed? It is because being MYSELF is what pushed me forward, being Aria Lestrade, with all of my strengths, my weaknesses, with my friends, my family, all of the people who have believed in me, everything that I was able to accomplish and learn from, that is why I was able to succeed. That is why I was able to become Specialists Champion in the first place, because I was just a simple detective girl who, no matter what, wanted to change the world, and with that dream? That objective in mind? That is what pushed me to give it my all and overcome everything in my path no matter how hard it was or how much it broke my heart. But the kind of person that you are? This pompous, arrogant, good for nothing **BLEEP** who wants to take over the world all by herself without even lifting a finger? You will never be able to reach anywhere with that kind of mindset and it is a truth that you will never be able to deny.
(The crowd cheered in support of ARIA as Sierra simply stood on the ramp, staying silent and staring down at ARIA in the ring. ARIA spoke with her chest and it’s clear that the pain and fatigue was continuing to take its effect, but she slowly trudged over and crouched down, taking her Specialists Championship and gingerly placing it onto her shoulder. She looked at it and leaned forward so Sierra could see it as she followed up on her statement.)
ARIA: You even said various times that you didn’t want to win this in the first place, you just wanted to shoot right to the top of the card going for the World Championship without any actual credibility to back yourself up or any knowledge on how much you would actually need to do to even get a title match of that caliber. It is already obvious by the fact that you disrespected this Championship even before our match took place, and just now you put your interest in it because I rightfully called you out on some bullcrap you pulled against me. We aren’t the same because your heart and soul isn’t the same as mine, you just want to reach the end without any idea to go through the journey, and that is what holds you back. I am indeed better just by the simple fact I simply go out there and give it my all, no matter the situation, no matter the match placement, no matter the stakes, I push through either way because nobody else can compare to what I can do! No matter what you or your friends have done to me tonight, I am never going to give someone like you the satisfaction of taking away my title. It will take a lot more than that to keep me down and at Tempest… you will just end up being the one leaving empty handed.
(Just as Halsey and Candice were ready to head back to the ring to finish ARIA off, Sierra put her arms by their side and stopped them for a moment.)
Sierra Everett: (Off-Mic) No, it isn’t worth it, I want to be the one finishing the job at Tempest.
(Sierra walked forward herself, taking away the microphone from the announcer this time so she could speak through it as she responded to ARIA.)
Sierra Everett: Is that how you want to do it, huh? Are you so confident about that, ARIA? Then if that is the hill you want to die on, I am going to put you on it and beat you in a Falls Count Anywhere match!
(ARIA eyes Sierra at ringside, dipping down to a knee and clutching her abdomen still. With the remaining energy that she has left, she looks up at Sierra with microphone in hand…)
ARIA: You…are…on.
(The crowd cheered once again at the stipulation being put in place as Sierra dropped the microphone to the ground and began walking away once again.)
Rich Russillo: What an exciting stipulation being put for the Specialists Championship match! These two women clearly won’t have any love lost after the comments they have thrown at each other.
James Peters: One woman who has relied on her talents and another who has worked as hard as she could everytime, two completely opposite people willing to prove their way of living life is better, and the prize for who is right will be that Championship right there.
(As Sierra, Candice and Halsey left, ARIA would drop her microphone and plop down to a seated position. Officials would come into the ring to check on her and help her out, but despite everything, her attention lied in her future Tempest opponent who was taking her leave. It was the last shot seen before Sunday Night Voltage from there begins to fade to commercial.)
(Commercial for Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. In theaters now!)
(Voltage returns from break and shows the crowd, who are hyped up from tonight’s show. Then the camera pans to the ring with Bella Braxton.)
Bella Braxton: Please welcome at this time….. “THE BLACK ROSE” MINERVA!
(“Blood, Milk & Sky” by White Zombie starts to play throughout the arena as the crowd stands up and cheers. There is a huge ovation as Minerva slowly walks out in a skirt, long sleeve cut off halter top, fishnet stockings and knee high boots. Her orange hair in pigtails, holding a black rose in her hand. She stops for a second looking out at the crowd and a small smile comes across her face due to the warm reaction. Slowly, she makes her way toward the ring.)
James Peters: The former EAW World Champion is gracing us with her presence and we saw her return last week when she stepped into Captain Charisma’s office while Usagi Senshi was talking to the commissioner about having a match at Tempest and it was made. Minerva will be facing the very hungry Usagi Senshi and what will her state of mind be.
Rich Russillo: That is the big question, we really haven’t seen much of Minerva since King of Elite, this is technically her first public appearance since losing the championship to her fiancé still I believe, at this point I don’t even know what is going on between those two but maybe we will know from her, but it must sting that Myles is the World Champion and the way it came about.
Persephone: Men totally suck, girl power.
(Minerva gets to the ring, she again looks around for a moment before nodding, she gets to the apron and slowly crawls into the ring, she then takes the mic from Bella and paces around the ring for a moment soaking up the cheers from the crowd as she is very appreciative of it.)
Minerva: Thank you…. Thank you so much but I do not deserve this.
(The crowd boos at hearing that before they start chanting….)
Crowd: MINERVA! MINERVA! MINERVA!
(Minerva smiles at hearing the cheers, she takes a second to soak it all in before she starts to speak….)
Minerva: I know that I have let you all down, my fans, the EAW Universe, the Yellow Brand. After Road to Redemption and walking out of the Chamber still the EAW World champion, I made a promise to myself, Voltage and all of you that I would make 2023 even better and I would go on to be the EAW World Champion for a very long time. I broke that promise and I do not deserve your love and adulation for that, I deserve spite and disappointment.
(The crowd continues to boo before it once again turns into a loud chant…)
Crowd: WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU! WE LOVE YOU!
(Minerva for a moment gets a bit teary eyed at the response of the crowd, her feelings have been hurt, she is somewhat damaged from what happened the weeks leading into King of Elite and the results. She has since then taken some time off and this is the first time she has been in front of so many fans.)
Minerva: Thank you…. I love you too. But I need to pour my heart out here, I’m a woman that wears it on her sleeve and there really is nothing else that I would rather do than to speak about it, thinking the only way that I can even progress and move forward is by laying it all out now. See, I have been in this position before, when I lost the Universal Women’s Championship back in the fall of 2020. I tried to convince myself that as one door would close, another would open, but the truth is I struggled for half that season which led to me joining New Eden. I lost matches to opponents that if I faced now, I would wipe the floor with, that is not hyperbole or some narcissistic take, those are facts.
(The crowd cheers loudly hearing those statements.)
Minerva: But in a way, there is a feeling of déjà vu. Like I am back there again and I need to start at the bottom and make my way back to the very top if I am going to hold a World Championship again, but this time I am a lot more mature and ready to handle the situation than I was back then. Losing the EAW World Championship hurt, and I will admit firsthand, I made a mistake in adding TLA into the match, it cost me in the end and whille I can look at it backfiring in my face, I still have no regrets and would do it all again. When Myles won the EAW World Championship, it was the look on his face as he held that title, his reflection beaming off the faceplate. For those moments, in his world? I didn’t exist.
(She pauses for a moment, thinking back to that night and the hurt on her face is plastered all over. Minerva though collects herself and continues to speak.)
Minerva: I saw what he really wanted more than anything. It wasn’t fame or glory. It wasn’t me. It was to become the EAW World Champion no matter the cost. So I fulfilled my promise and I handed Myles the EAW World Championship saying goodbye in the process. I raised his hand in victory because he earned it. Then when Myles tried to hug me I stopped him, I wasn’t the reward…. I was the sacrifice.
(Lowering her head, she looks down at the ring Minerva still wears.)
Minerva: But then I look down at this ring. I think about one thing, how hard he fought for the EAW World Championship, and I start to wonder. Will he fight that hard or harder for this. I will promise you one thing, to each and every single one of you sitting in this arena and in the EAW, hell the entire world. I WILL BE A WORLD CHAMPION AGAIN!
(The crowd explodes and roars in cheers.)
Minerva: I have way too much to do right now, I have so much more to accomplish. There are things I have never done or ever completed and if you think this is the end of Minerva or if I am going to struggle like I did the last time I lost a World Title, you have another thing coming. And it starts at Tempest. Usagi Senshi is one of the bright stars in this company and someone who wants it badly, those are the type of Elitists I must face to continue proving my point that I have reached a level that no one is going to knock me off it. Usagi Senshi will bring her best and that is all I can ask but it simply won’t be enough. This is a new chapter for Minerva, and she is going to help me write it.
(Just as Minerva lowers the mic and seems to be done, ‘A Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ by Yoko Takahashi begins to play throughout the arena. There is a mixture of cheers and boos as Minerva turns to the entranceway, her icy blue eyes narrowing some.)
James Peters: And here is the challenger for Minerva at Tempest, Usagi Senshi! She must’ve heard enough and now she is walking out here to talk to the former EAW World Champion.
Rich Russillo: She looks quite intense right now and not taking her eyes off Minerva who is also staring a hole right in her.
Persephone: That wasn’t very nice of Usagi to drag this one. Minerva said her peace and was ready to leave the ring but now we have to hear her…. How fun I mean!
(Usagi grabs a mic and slides into the ring. She walks up to Minerva and nods.)
Usagi Senshi: I wanted to give you the platform tonight Minerva so that you can tell everyone how you have been feeling for the last month since losing the EAW World Championship. I appreciate that you are focusing on Tempest and moving forward, but what I have a problem with is that you think what I bring is not going to be enough. I was bothered by the exchange we had last week, almost as if you were blowing me off, that I wasn’t worth your time.
(Minerva continues to glare at Usagi.)
Usagi Senshi: I needed to come out here and let you know that this is one of the biggest opportunities in my career and to even think that I am some bother or an inconvenience is why you will walk out of that match as the loser. I know that I can and will be a major player in the EAW, I have proven that in the tag team scene and now I will do it in the singles. I do not ever spit in the face of having an opportunity to face one of if not the best female competitor in this company. After all those awards, you were truly a cut above everyone else and a win over Minerva? Is massive.
(As Usagi continues, Minerva just continues to stand there and glare at her.)
Usagi Senshi: You are coming across someone that is looking to climb the ranks and become a champion one day and I truly believe that I can take down one of the greatest World Champions of all time at Tempest. I’m going to make sure that you know and everyone else knows that I am not here to [BLEEP] around.
(The crowd continues to give a mixed reaction. Minerva tilts her head and takes a moment of silence before she responds.)
Minerva: With all due respect, Usagi? I have plenty of things I still want to do and frankly, that doesn’t involve you trying to prove yourself at my expense. However, I’ll give you the match and the beating you are so clearly looking for, and then I’ll move on to bigger and better things.
(Usagi isn’t exactly thrilled over that attitude, but she keeps her cool and once again warns Minerva.)
Usagi Senshi: Let me remind you Minerva, if you go into this match overconfident, you may just end up surprised. I have had a lot of ups and even more downs, but at the end of the day, I want to grow into an elite athlete and become a champion sooner rather than later.
(Minerva nods and smiles before clapping almost sarcastically.)
Minerva: You have your Tempest match, and it would serve you well right now to just be happy for the opportunity and go prepare for Myles.
(Minerva goes to walk past her but Usagi says…..)
Usagi Senshi: Right, the guy who chose that title over you and I agreed with what he did because I would have done the same thing.
(The crowd sits in silence as Minerva stops, lowering her head and then shaking it before turning back to Usagi and smiling.)
Minerva: I’m glad you said that.
Usagi Senshi: Why?
(Minerva quickly turns and…..)
James Peters: MINERVA JUST HIT THE DEVIL’S TOUCH ON USAGI SENSHI! SENSHI IS DOWN HOLDING HER JAW AS SHE MINERVA TILTS HER HEAD LOOKING DOWN ON HER!
(Minerva then mutters….)
Minerva: Because now I have an excuse.
(She drops the mic as “Blood, Milk & Sky” play throughout the arena, Minerva starts to walk off as the crowd cheers loudly, Usagi Senshi is holding her face, stirring, and slowly trying to look up at the Gypsy walking away.)
Rich Russillo: Statement made and Mienrva was not about to take that disrespect! She put Usagi down and now has her thinking, what and who did she just unleash because we know that for weeks Minerva has been silent, but this is a different Gypsy and one that is taking no prisoners!
Persephone: Hit her again!
(Usagi is trying to sit up to no avail as Minerva doesn’t turn around and continues to head toward the back where the scene fades into a commercial break.)
(A commercial is shown for Pizza Rolls featuring the Answers World Champion Jake Smith.)
(The camera returns to ringside and settles at the commentary table before continuing on with the next match.)
James Peters: Welcome back to Voltage and before we start the introductions for our next match, allow me to welcome our special guest commentator for this match. She is the reigning EAW Universal Women’s Champion. She is the one and only Dr. Bethany Blue.
(The camera shot widens to show Dr. Bethany Blue sitting at the end of the table with a headset on and her championship belt sitting on the table.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: Thank you for having me. I’m glad to be calling the action for this next match.
Persephone: I mean it’s such a joy to have you here at the table with us. My heart almost can’t take it.
Dr. Bethany Blue: It’s a pleasure to see you too, Persephone.
Rich Russillo: Regardless, you have a little bit of an investment in this match because of one of the participants and we’ll get to that in just a moment, but let’s take it to ring with Bella Braxton for the introductions of our next match.
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton where she has a microphone in hand ready to start the introductions for the next match.)
Bella Braxton: This next contest is scheduled for… ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(“Show Me Your God” by The Amity Affliction starts playing as Theron Nikolas enters the arena to a mixed, but leaning towards a small positive reaction. He has a look of determination on his face as he heads to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first and making his way to the ring. He is from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Weighing in at 224 pounds! Here is “THE REAPER” THERON NIKOLAS!!
James Peters: Here comes Theron Nikolas as he makes his way to the ring for singles action. He is also looking towards Tempest where he has a huge match against Methuselah.
Dr. Bethany Blue: This is going to be an interesting match to say the least. I’m interested on how this is going to play out.
Persephone: I don’t know. Young creepy man faces an old creepy man. We don’t need a match. We need an exorcism and Rexy.
Rich Russillo: Of course we do. Last week, Theron dropped Methuselah in the ring and that no doubt only escalated things between them, but that will be at Tempest. Tonight, Theron is looking to get some momentum, but his opponent is going to be a challenge.
(Theron enters the ring and tosses his jacket to the side and takes his corner as his entrance music fades off. Seconds later, ‘Sweet Dreams’ by Eurythmics, Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart starts to play as Harper Lee enters the arena to a mixed reaction, but more negative, from the crowd. Harper has a smirk on her face as she heads to the ring.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing her opponent! From Charlotte, North Carolina! Weighing 118 pounds. Here is “CAPTAIN” HARPER LEE!
Rich Russillo: Here comes your number one contender for your Universal Women’s Championship, Bethany. There’s no doubt that you are still angry about being attacked by her last week.
Dr. Bethany Blue: I hope she enjoys the satisfaction from laying me out last week because it won’t happen again. Tempest will be a different story.
Persephone: It will probably be a long and drawn out story that nobody really cares about. I mean, it’s going to be an amazing match that everybody should get excited to watch!
James Peters: You two will be facing off at Tempest with your title on the line, but tonight Harper Lee has to survive Theron Nikolas. She certainly could get the job done. Will she? We’re about to find out.
(Harper enters the ring after motioning to Dr. Bethany Blue that she’s coming for the title. She then takes her corner as her entrance music dies off. The referee checks both competitors before they call for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: Here we go! This match is underway. Harper and Theron lock up in the center of the ring and Theron takes advantage with a side headlock on the smaller Harper Lee. Harper trying to find a way to get free of the headlock.
Rich Russillo: Harper is throwing a few shots to Theron’s side, but that doesn’t stop Theron. Theron whips Harper to the ropes. Harper comes back AND THERON TAKES HER DOWN WITH A SHOULDER TACKLE.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Well, when Theron is almost twice her weight, it isn’t the best strategy to go head on against someone like Theron.
Persephone: Well she isn’t that smart to begin with so this is just obvious. I wouldn’t mind seeing this happen again and again until the match ends since we can’t end the match now.
Rich Russillo: The match has just begun, Persephone. Harper is back to her feet and she tries to throw a forearm that does connect, but she tries to throw another forearm, BUT THERON BLOCKS IT! Theron throws a forearm of his own and that sends Harper back.
James Peters: Theron throws a few more forearms sending Harper to the ropes. Theron grabs Harper AND HARPER TRIES TO COUNTER WITH A HEADSCISSORS, BUT THERON BLOCKS IT AND COUNTERS WITH A SIDEWALK SLAM!
Dr. Bethany Blue: Harper needs to watch out for Theron. She needs to watch out for Theron’s leg strikes. His kicks will send anybody into next week.
Persephone: Yeah, like you would be offended if Harper got knocked into next week.
Dr. Bethany Blue: That’s not the point. If anybody gets the chance to beat up Harper Lee, I want it to be me.
Rich Russillo: You’ll get that chance at Tempest, but right now, it’s Theron’s turn. Theron is starting with those dangerous feet as he starts delivering boots to Harper’s back. Harper rolls over to the ropes to get free.
Persephone: What a chicken! Get back into the ring and fight. I mean, smart strategy to avoid taking any more damage for the time being. Give it to Harper for using her head.
James Peters: Harper stands up on the apron, BUT THERON GRABS HARPER BY THE BACK OF THE NECK AND BRINGS HARPER BACK INTO THE RING THE HARD WAY! Harper gets back to her feet and she is DROPKICKED INTO THE CORNER BY THERON NIKOLAS!
Dr. Bethany Blue: I can admit that it’s nice to see Harper kissing the turnbuckle. Theron is good and I mean he is crazy good. Harper can’t use any underhanded tactics against someone like Theron.
Rich Russillo: Harper hasn’t been able to get out of the gates in this match AND THERON IS RIGHT THERE WITH THOSE MARTIAL ARTS KICKS TO THE CHEST! ONE AFTER THE OTHER AS THE REFEREE IS MAKING THE COUNT TO LET HER OUT OF THE CORNER!
James Peters: THAT LAST KICK HIT HARPER RIGHT IN THE FACE! WHAT A SHOT! Theron snapmares Harper out of the corner BEFORE HITTING A DROPKICK RIGHT TO THE SPINE! HARPER FALLS BACK AS THERON GOES FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWW–
Rich Russillo: HARPER POWERS OUT AT ONE! I don’t think that cover was for the win, it was to have Harper expend some extra energy. Theron is still in strong control of this match as he brings Harper back to her feet and whips her to the ropes.
Persephone: This match is going to be such a masterpiece that all of us are going to enjoy. This is not going too long at all. But Harper does rebound as Theron had his head down–
Rich Russillo: HARPER ROLLS OFF THERON’S BACK AND ENDS UP BEHIND HIM AND DROPKICKS HIM RIGHT IN THE BACK OF THE KNEES! THERON STUMBLES FORWARD AND HARPER DROPKICKS HIM AGAIN IN THE BACK AND HE FALLS INTO THE MIDDLE ROPE!
Dr. Bethany Blue: I guess Harper finally found a way to counteract the disadvantages she has against Theron. She needs to keep him off kilter or else she will suffer the same fate she will at Tempest against me.
James Peters: Harper Lee takes advantage of the opportunity by hitting the far ropes and he is going at full speed AND SHE CATCHES THERON IN THE FACE WITH THAT TIGER FEINT KICK!
Rich Russillo: Theron sent back and Harper is on the apron BEFORE SHE JUMPS TO THE TOP ROPE! WHAT BALANCE BY HARPER LEE AS SHE CHANGES POSITION SO SHE NOW HAS HER BACK TO THERON!
Persephone: Unfortunately, she doesn’t lose her balance as she jumps off the top rope and hits a modified springboard moonsault!
James Peters: Very nice move by Harper Lee as she hit Theron right on the money. Theron is still down as Harper scrambles into the cover and hooks the leg!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!
TTWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOO!
THHHHHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEE—
Rich Russillo: THERON KICKS OUT AT TWO! VERY NICE MOONSAULT BY HARPER AND IT ALMOST GOT HER THE MATCH! This has been a very even and competitive match between these two.
Dr. Bethany Blue: Personal matters aside, this has been pretty competitive. Not that I thought this was going to be a one sided fight. These two are former World Champions so they know what needs to be done to be victorious.
James Peters: Harper now thinks it’s time to go up to the high rent district as she climbs up all the way to the top rope. Theron is still down as Harper gets her balance on the top turnbuckle. Theron is getting back to his feet and Harper is just waiting for him so she can strike.
Rich Russillo: Theron is back to his feet AND HARPER JUMPS FROM THE TOP ROPE! HARPER GOES FOR A CROSSBODY, BUT THERON CATCHES HER! THERON HAS HOLD OF HARPER AND HARPER IS IN TROUBLE!
Persephone: BAHAHAHA! THIS IS GREAT! Like I have said before, why do they keep climbing to the top rope to fly? It almost never works. But they try it anyway.
Rich Russillo: Theron now has Harper on his shoulders in the Fireman’s Carry position before he walks her to the center of the ring AND TAKES HER OFF HIS SHOULDERS AND HITS HER WITH THE USHIGOROSHI!
Dr. Bethany Blue: That knee strike to the base of the neck is not a friendly move. I have taken that move many times in my career. Believe me, it’s not going to make you feel any better.
James Peters: Harper is down on the mat holding the back of her head in pain and Theron kicks her over onto her stomach. He grabs her wrists and bends her arms back almost in a surfboard position.
Rich Russillo: THERON JUST DROVE HIS BOOT INTO HARPER’S HEAD! NOT JUST ONCE BUT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN! HARPER IS IN PRONE POSITION AND ALL SHE CAN DO IS KISS THE APRON!
Persephone: Something pleasing about seeing Harper’s face hit the floor over and over again. I mean this is very dangerous. The referee should call off this match and end it to protect her safety.
James Peters: The referee does start a count and Theron lets Harper go at four so he doesn’t have to risk disqualification. You have to believe that Harper has to be on dream street right now after being kicked in the head so many times.
Dr. Bethany Blue: She was already a little loopy, but who knows how many screws that Theron knocked loose in her head. Unfortunately for Harper, she is getting a first hand taste of the dangerous legs of Theron Nikolas.
Rich Russillo: Harper isn’t moving right now and Theron locks his arms around Harper’s waist AND THERON JUST LIFTED HARPER UP FROM THE MAT! WHAT POWER BY THERON NIKOLAS AS HE DEADLIFTS HER RIGHT INTO A GERMAN SUPLEX!
James Peters: THE BACK OF HARPER’S HEAD SMACKS HARD AGAINST THE CANVAS AS THERON BRIDGES UP AND GETS HIS SHOULDERS OFF THE MAT FOR THE COVER! HARPER’S SHOULDERS ARE DOWN!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHRRRRREEEEE!
Rich Russillo: HARPER POWERS HER SHOULDER UP RIGHT BEFORE THE THREE COUNT! WHAT AN AMAZING MATCH THIS HAS BEEN! Harper has got to be feeling the effects of those boots at the moment.
Dr. Bethany Blue: She better get taken to the trainer’s room after this match because she could easily have a concussion right now with all the impact her head has taken.
Persephone: I just think that she’s naturally that messed up. But that’s just my opinion.
Rich Russillo: You have no issue expressing your opinion over and over again! But be that as it may, Theron still has control of this match and he brings Harper back to her feet and once again whips her to the turnbuckle.
James Peters: Theron comes into the corner, BUT HE IS MET WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE FROM HARPER AND THAT STAGGERS THERON BACK FOR A SECOND! Harper takes a quick second to scramble up to the second rope.
Rich Russillo: HARPER LEE JUMPS FROM THE SECOND ROPE AND GRABS THERON’S NECK AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A TORNADO DDT! THERON SPIKED ON HIS HEAD! GREAT COUNTER BY HARPER!
Dr. Bethany Blue: That’s what Harper needs to do. I don’t like her, but she might need to stay taking it to the air if she wants to win this match because if given too much time, Theron will take her down.
Persephone: They can both go down at this rate because words can’t describe what I am feeling about this match right now. I can think of them, but they really can’t be said at this moment in time.
James Peters: We are all thankful for that right now, Persephone. Right now Harper is climbing back up to the top rope as Theron is still down and Harper doesn’t waste a second AS HARPER JUMPS FROM THE TOP ROPE ONCE AGAIN–
Rich Russillo: HARPER WENT FOR HER DIVING SENTON, BUT THERON MOVED OUT OF THE WAY AND HARPER FOUND NOTHING BUT THE MAT! HARPER CRASHED AND BURNED!
James Peters: SHE LANDED HARD ON HER BACK AND SHE IS HOLDING HER LOWER BACK AS SHE GETS BACK TO HER FEET! Unfortunately for her, Theron is waiting for her. Theron grabs her head and locks her up.
Dr. Bethany Blue: This might be the end of poor Harper. Theron is going to cut Harper off at the pass and cut off her momentum right now and end this match.
Rich Russillo: You might be right. Theron has Harper in a mess of trouble AS HE SPINS OUT AND PLANTS HARPER WITH “GHOST’S REQUIEM”! WHAT A SWINGING REVERSE STO BY THERON NIKOLAS AS HE HOOKS THE LEGS FOR THE COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOO!
THHHHHHHRRRRRRREEEEE!
Persephone: NO! HARPER KICKED OUT! I mean YAY! Harper kicked out! This match continues on. The excitement is just indescribable.
Rich Russillo: Will you stop that? This has been an amazing matchup between two high level competitors who are in two high profile matches at Tempest. Tremendous action here tonight as Theron brings Harper back to her feet and whips her to the ropes.
James Peters: Harper comes back AND SHE TRIES A CLOTHESLINE, BUT THERON AVOIDS IT! THERON WITH A FULL NELSON AND HARPER IS PLANTED HARD WITH A SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX. THERON CALLS THAT DRAGON RUSH AND HARPER CERTAINLY FELT THE RUSH!
Dr. Bethany Blue: Not going to lie, that was holy fast. I almost didn’t see Theron execute the move. I just saw Harper flying in the air and crashing against the mat.
Rich Russillo: Now Theron is going to take a gamble as he climbs up to the second rope and he is waiting for Harper to get back to her feet in the hopes of finishing Harper off… hopefully for good.
Persephone: Honestly, I think we all at some point have had those thoughts about Harper. She isn’t exactly the most pleasant person to listen to or see… or acknowledge.
James Peters: She’s not the only person who isn’t exactly the most pleasant around here, but be that as it may, Harper is back to her feet AND THERON JUMPS FROM THE SECOND ROPE LOOKING FOR THE DIVING METEORA–
Rich Russillo: WHAT THE HECK? HARPER AVOIDED THE METEORA! ULTRA INSTINCT BY HARPER LEE! MATRIX EVASION HELPS HER AVOID THE MOVE! THERON JUST SAILED RIGHT OVER HARPER AND CRASHES AGAINST THE MAT!
Dr. Bethany Blue: Even I didn’t see that one coming. I give credit to Harper as a competitor. It’s just that her attitude really sucks and drives a person absolutely crazy.
Persephone: Someone being driven crazy by somebody else just by being an annoying pest? I could never believe that. Everyone is just so peaceful and awesome around here. Not as much as Rexy, but it’s so exciting.
James Peters: Be careful. I think we might see Persephone explode in just a few seconds after saying that :mjlol:. But Theron is just starting to recover from that meteora landing as Harper is ready to strike.
Rich Russillo: Theron is back to his feet and he turns right around to Harper Lee AND HARPER CATCHES THERON RIGHT IN THE JAW WITH THE DRAGON FIST! WHAT A RIGHT HOOK BY HARPER LEE! BUT THERON IS STILL STANDING!
Persephone: I wonder if she knocked any teeth out. That would be horrible if she did. We have children watching.
Rich Russillo: HARPER TRIES TO FIRE OFF ANOTHER DRAGON FISH PUNCH, BUT THERON DUCKS THE PUNCH AND GRABS HARPER LEE BY THE WRIST AND THROWS HER OUT BEFORE PULLING HER RIGHT BACK IN—
James Peters: THERON COUNTERS WITH A TOUCH OF HEROINE! WHAT A RAINMAKER LARIAT BY THERON! HARPER TURNED INSIDE OUT, BUT THERON ISN’T GOING FOR THE COVER! Instead, Theron goes to the corner and crouches down. IS HE GOING FOR A SPEAR?
Dr. Bethany Blue: Rubbing a little bit of salt into the wound, isn’t he. Then again, Theron wants to continue making a statement to the dangerous Methuselah. Unfortunately, it has to be at Harper’s expense. It doesn’t hurt my feelings that much. Just leave some for me.
Rich Russillo: I THINK HE IS LOOKING TO SEND A MESSAGE TO METHUSELAH BECAUSE THE SPEAR IS ONE OF METHUSELAH’S MAIN MOVES! Theron is crouched down and ready to strike and I don’t think Harper has a clue as she gets back to her feet–
James Peters: THERON WENT FOR THE SPEAR AND HARPER LEE AVOIDED IT AT THE LAST SECOND! THERON JUST KEEPS GOING AND HE GOES THROUGH THE ROPES AND GOES RIGHT OUT OF THE RING!
Rich Russillo: Theron is out on the floor in front of us., but he has no idea that Harper Lee has hit the ropes once more AND IS RUNNING AT FULL SPEED BEFORE SHE DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES AND TAKES THERON DOWN WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!
Persephone: How in the world did he get caught by that move? I thought he was smarter than that. I mean… give credit to Harper Lee for catching someone the level of Theron Nikolas off guard.
Rich Russillo: WHAT A MOVE BY HARPER LEE AS THERON CRASHES HARD AGAINST THE FLOOR! HARPER HAS PULLED THERON BACK TO HIS FEET BY THE HAIR BEFORE SMASHING HIS FACE AGAINST THE EDGE OF THE RING! Now she rolls Theron back into the ring AND WHAT IS HARPER DOING NOW?
Dr. Bethany Blue: I know what she is doing right now and she better step off and get back in the ring unless she wants to end up in a mess of trouble.
(Harper Lee walks over to the commentary table after tossing Theron back in the ring and starts talking to Bethany.)
Harper Lee: (off-mic) You see that, Doc? That’s going to be you in a few weeks. That title is going to be MINE! Two-time champion right here! Get used to that fact! Maybe your little manthing can console you when you lose.
Rich Russillo: OH COME ON! Harper, that was unnecessary! Get back to the match.
(Bethany did not appreciate Harper Lee running her mouth, so Bethany gets out of her chair.)
James Peters: Come on, Bethany. Sit back down. It’s not worth it. You two will meet up soon enough. Calm down Bethany.
Dr. Bethany Blue: You have something to say now. I’m right in front you. Nothing between us but air and opportunity, Harper. Come on!
(Harper leans over the announce table with a smile on her face. Dr. Bethany Blue is still glaring at Harper as Harper brings her hand back.)
Rich Russillo: HARPER LEE LOOKED TO TAKE A SWING AT BETHANY, BUT FAKED HER OUT! HARPER IS LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY AS HE HEADS BACK TO THE RING! DR. BETHANY BLUE LOOKS ANGRY!
(THUNK!)
Persephone: Here we go! Harper rolls back into the ring and we are about to have another fight. I think all these people are secretly jealous. They should know that they can’t be as successful as my amazing Rexy!
James Peters: THIS ISN’T GOING TO BE GOOD! BETHANY TOSSED HER HEADSET DOWN AND SHE GRABS HER TITLE BELT AND SHE WALKING OVER TO RINGSIDE, JUST AS THERON WAS ABLE TO CATCH HARPER OFF GUARD WITH AN UPPERCUT DUE TO THE TIME SHE WASTED!
Rich Russillo: THERON WITH THE IRISH WHIP AND BETHANY IS READY TO STRIKE HARPER LEE WITH THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT! THE DOCTOR DID NOT APPRECIATE HARPER’S MOUTH!
(CRACK!)
James Peters: OH NO! HARPER COUNTERED THE IRISH WHIP AND THERON WENT FOR THE RIDE! BETHANY DIDN’T REALIZE IT AND SHE CLOCKED THERON THINKING SHE CLOCKED HARPER! THE REFEREE BARELY MISSED IT, DR. BETHANY BLUE WAS OFF TO THE SIDE AND THE REF DIDN’T SEE HER BEHIND THERON AND HARPER!!
Persephone: BAHAHAHAHAHA! THE DOCTOR MESSED UP! OH, THAT WAS GREAT! I AM GLAD TO WITNESS WHAT JUST HAPPENED RIGHT NOW!
Rich Russillo: I DON’T THINK IT’S FUNNY! HARPER RAN HER MOUTH AND BETHANY WAS JUST TRYING TO GIVE A RECEIPT, BUT SHE MISCUED AND ACCIDENTALLY HIT THERON WITH THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT! THERON STUMBLES AFTER GETTING HIT AND HE GOES RIGHT INTO HARPER–
James Peters: AND HE GOES RIGHT INTO THE HOUSE OF BALLOONS! BACKSTABBER BY HARPER LEE AND THERON JUST HAD HIS SPINE REALIGNED AS HARPER QUICKLY CRAWLS TO THERON AND GOES FOR THE COVER! IS HARPER GOING TO STEAL IT HERE?
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!
TWWWWWWWWWOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHRRRRREEEEEEE!
(DING! DING! DING!)
(‘Sweet Dreams’ starts playing again as Harper Lee rolls off of Theron and gets back to her feet to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Bethany is standing outside the ring beside herself that she accidently hit the wrong person.)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner… HARPER LEE!
James Peters: There you have it! What an amazing match between these two very tough competitors. It was just unfortunate the way the match ended. A small miscue from the Doctor cost Theron the match.
(The referee raises Harper’s arm in victory as Theron rolls out of the ring.)
Persephone: Yes yes. This was an amazing match that the rest of us will remember for a very long time even though it didn’t involve Rexy. Warms my heart.
Rich Russillo: Tell us more, but you gotta give it up for Theron. He fought hard in this match and almost had it on a few occasions, but tonight belongs to Harper Lee.
James Peters: That’s right. Harper Lee has some momentum heading to Tempest and we offer our… WAIT A SECOND!
(Dr. Bethany Blue heads into the ring and tries to attack Harper. But Harper saw it coming and was ready for her.)
Rich Russillo: LOOK AT WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE RING! WE HAVE A BRAWL BETWEEN CHAMPION AND CHALLENGER! BETHANY WANTED PAYBACK AND SHE IS ABOUT TO GET IT!
Persephone: Maybe they can just brawl so much that neither of them can make Tempest. I mean this is such a fight. These two obviously have so much boiling up between each other.
James Peters: These two are just throwing haymakers at each other in the hopes of getting the advantage over the other! It won’t change the result of the match, though! Harper Lee is victorious, and it’s because of the title shot that the referee was just barely unable to see! From his perspective Theron just bounced off of the ropes!
Rich Russillo: Now Harper wants to get a little more momentum by taking out the Universal Women’s Champion two weeks in a row! Harper is starting to get the advantage and she caught the Doctor with a nice right hand!
Persephone: Oh no. The doctor has her back turned to Harper. She better watch out because here comes Harper with the House of Balloons again–
James Peters: BETHANY HANGS ONTO THE ROPES AND HARPER CRASHES TO THE MAT! HARPER GETS BACK TO HER FEET AND BETHANY WAS READY FOR HER AND DR. BETHANY BLUE WITH “CODE BLUE”! HEART PUNCH BY THE DOCTOR AND HARPER LEE IS OUT COLD! WHAT A SHOT! Now what is the Doctor doing?
(Dr. Bethany Blue walks over to the edge of the apron and picks up her Universal Women’s Championship belt before walking back over to Harper. Bethany is standing over her before she leans down to Harper’s face.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: (off-mic) YOU SEE THIS, HARPER! THIS IS MINE! As long as I am the one who reigns as Universal Women’s Champion, you will never and I mean NEVER see a second reign with this Championship!
James Peters: Statement made by the Universal Women’s Champion here tonight. Bethany isn’t going to let her first World Championship go so easily and Harper better be ready for a fight. This match is going to be amazing at Tempest. Harper Lee. Dr. Bethany Blue. Universal Women’s Championship on the line. Things are heating up.
(The final shot still has Dr. Bethany Blue standing tall over a still knocked out Harper as she holds her Universal Women’s Championship high in the air as the camera cuts elsewhere.)
(Promotional ad for Tempest, where Dr. Bethany Blue defends the Universal Women’s Championship against Harper Lee.)
(The camera cuts to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
Bella Braxton: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR… ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
(‘A Cruel Angel’s Thesis’ – Yoko Takahashi blares throughout the arena, garnering positive feedback from the audience, who continue to cheer on Usagi as she saunters down to the ring, focused upon the task at hand, which is defeating Myles tonight.)
Bella Braxton: Introducing first! Hailing out of Fukuoka, Japan, weighing in at 115 pounds…SHE IS THE MASTER OF EXCELLENCE…USAGI SENSHI!!
James Peters: As Tempest approaches, Usagi prepares for one of the biggest matches in her career, which will be against Minerva, someone her opponent tonight has plenty of history with.
Rich Russillo: And we aren’t talking about Drake King, but rather Myles, who dethroned Minerva for her Championship.
Persephone: If Usagi can beat him, that’d mean Usagi stands quite the chance at Tempest.
(‘Enemy Strike’ by Yuki Hayashi blares throughout the arena next to a mostly reaction as Myles is the first one out, staring down at the World Championship, which is wrapped around his waist, and taunting on the stage area before marching down to the ring, staring directly at Usagi.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent! Hailing out of Melbourne, Australia, weighing in at 215 pounds, accompanied to the ring by Minerva…HE IS THE EAW WORLD CHAMPION…THE PEAK…MYLES!!
Rich Russillo: Myles doesn’t have Minerva to look forward to at Tempest, but he does have an entirely different beast, which is Samael.
James Peters: Samael has laid waste to Myles before, but Myles made him pay for it last week, turning Samael back into Michael.
Rich Russillo: The champion tends to be aggressive, and I feel his style will clash well with Usagi, who’s aggressive in her own right once that bell rings.
(Myles hands his title off to the referee, who hands it off himself, and signals for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
James Peters: The fans are roaring in anticipation as both competitors circle one another. Not even having to lock up, and these fans are already electric.
Rich Russillo: I’ll tell you why that is, because you’re looking at Myles versus Usagi Senshi, two names who are almost always guaranteed to give you are a great performance, and these fans expect nothing else.
James Peters: I think Usagi wants more than a great performance. She wants to topple the World Champion, which could elevate her stock just that much higher, and possibly put her in contention.
Rich Russillo: Well, beating the World Champion is easier said than done, especially when it comes to Myles, who has the strength advantage, and who has the weight advantage over Usagi.
Persephone: While strength and weight are very important when it comes to a fight, they haven’t stopped the smaller opponent from preserving before.
James Peters: True, so let’s not count Usagi out of the fight just yet as both competitors lock up in the center of the ring, jockeying for position briefly. But as expected, Myles overpowers Usagi, backing her up against the ropes, and keeping her pinned there as the referee interjects with a five count. Usagi could score a win over the champion through disqualification, that is if he doesn’t relent. But I’m sure that’s not the way she wants it.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FO-
Rich Russillo: There’s a clean break between these two, BUT USAGI SHOWS SOME FIRE, SHOVING MYLES BACK A BIT! Usagi wants Myles to know that she will not be pushed around, despite being at a disadvantage. I wonder if Myles heard the message as both competitors circle one another for a second time, and initiate another collar and elbow tie-up in the center of the ring.
James Peters: As opposed to earlier, Usagi gets the early advantage by wringing the arm of Myles, but the champion reverses with an arm wringer of his own, continuing to wrench on the hold, and brings Usagi down to a knee as he has firm control over the wrist.
Rich Russillo: Usagi powers back to her feet, and performs a forward roll, getting to her feet, and slips underneath the arm of Myles, going behind him as she hooks his right arm, and spins him around for a side headlock takedown! Usagi keeps Myles grounded while tightening the hold, but it doesn’t take the champion long to power back to his feet.
James Peters: Myles goes to bounce Usagi off the ropes to escape, a common counter we see to the headlock. But Usagi has it well scouted, skidding down to a knee, and bringing Myles along with her, showing just how tight she has the side headlock cinched in, giving the champion some struggle when it comes to shaking her off.
Rich Russillo: Myles gets back to his feet, and lifts Usagi off the mat for a back suplex, utilizing that strength advantage we talked about earlier, BUT USAGI COUNTERS WITH A SIDE HEADLOCK TAKEDOWN! MYLES ROLLS USAGI ONTO BOTH SHOULDERS IN THE GROUNDED SIDE HEADLOCK, BRIDGING OFF THE CANVAS!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
James Peters: Only a one count before Usagi manages to kick out, and regains control with the grounded side headlock. Myles quickly powers back to a vertical base, and goes to rebound Usagi off the ropes… this time is successful! BUT MYLES CHARGES SENSHI, WHO SIDESTEPS WHATEVER HE HAD PLANNED, CAUSING HIM TO BOUNCE OFF THE ROPES, RUNNING RIGHT INTO AN ARM DRAG! MYLES RUSHES BACK TO HIS FEET, AS DOES USAGI, AND THE CHAMP RUNS RIGHT INTO ANOTHER ARM DRAG!
Rich Russillo: USAGI GETS TO HER FEET, AND IS PREPARED TO TAKE MYLES DOWN AGAIN, BUT HE GETS TO A KNEE, AND STARES DOWN USAGI INSTEAD, NEEDING TO RETHINK HIS GAMEPLAN! Usagi raises her hand high in the air, and is she- :comeagain: is she signaling for a test of strength?
Persephone: I didn’t know Usagi could be this idi- brave.
James Peters: Myles seems almost taken aback by it, but stands himself up, and starts closing the gap between himself and Usagi, looking to lock hands for the test of strength.
Rich Russillo: BUT USAGI HAD A GREATER PLAN IN MIND, BAITING THE CHAMP IN FOR A KICK TO THE INNER THIGH, DOUBLING THE CHAMP OVER FOR A KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION! USAGI GRABS MYLES BY THE CHIN, AND STANDS HIM UPRIGHT FOR A SHOOT KICK TO THE CHEST! USAGI SNAPMARES MYLES DOWN TO THE CANVAS, AND DELIVERS A JUMPING KNEE DROP RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!
James Peters: Myles jolts up to a seated position, clutching at his face, but gets laid back down by Usagi for a cover, hooking the leg!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
James Peters: Kickout! Myles is back to a seated position, still reeling from that knee strike, and gets brought back to his feet by Usagi. Senshi hooks him up for a suplex, BUT MYLES FLOATS OVER, SLIPPING BEHIND HIS OPPONENT, AND WRAPPING HIS ARMS AROUND HER WAIST, POSSIBLY FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX!
Rich Russillo: There’s a go behind by Usagi, but another go behind by Myles, having her trapped in the rear waistlock for a second time. Usagi isolates an arm of Myles, managing to pry his fingers apart, and wring the arm of Myles. Quickly, Senshi transitions into a hammerlock, BUT MYLES TAGS HER WITH AN ELBOW, JACKING THE JAW OF USAGI, WHO REMAINS GROGGY IN THE CENTER OF THE RING AS MYLES RUNS OFF THE ROPES IN FRONT OF HER!
James Peters: USAGI GOES FOR A KICK TO THE GUT, ATTEMPTING TO HALT MYLES’ MOMENTUM! BUT HE CATCHES THE BOOT, AND USAGI USES HER FREE LEG TO DELIVER AN ENZIGURI, CATCHING MYLES OFF GUARD, ALONG WITH FLUSH!
Persephone: Myles staggers back into the corner, being placed on wobbly legs by Usagi’s riveting offense!
Rich Russillo: Usagi starts to deliver a flurry of stomps that sinks Myles down to a seated position in the corner! Usagi goes for another stomp, but Myles catches the boot, and holds on to it as he stands himself back up. Usagi is on one leg as Myles directs her to the center of the ring, and spins her around! BUT USAGI COMPLETES THE 180 WITH A GAMENGIRI! MYLES GOES DOWN, AND USAGI RUSHES INTO A COVER, WASTING LITTLE TIME TO ALLOW THE CHAMPION TO BREATHE!
ONNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
James Peters: Despite that, only a one count as Myles manages to kickout! Usagi seems annoyed that Myles kicked out of her offense at one, having caught him good with a kick, but brings him back to his feet, and pulls Myles into a standing Guillotine choke, which puts tons of pressure on Myles’ carotid arteries.
Rich Russillo: Myles goes down to a knee, still reeling from that gamengiri, and now being placed in a chokehold. Usagi has managed to keep the pressure on, not allowing Myles a moment of peace, and could possibly make him tap out with this guillotine.
James Peters: I’m not confident that Myles will tap, but if this hold stays on longer, I’m confident that Myles will nap, because it’s only so long someone can endure this.
Rich Russillo: Myles is gritting through the pain, however, and powers back to his feet. Usagi continues tightening the hold, BUT MYLES POPS HER IN THE AIR FOR A FREE FALL DROP! USAGI ROLLS OVER IN PAIN, CLUTCHING AT HER MIDSECTION! MYLES TAKES A MOMENT TO SHAKE THE COBWEBS OUT OF HIS HEAD, AND REGAIN FOOTING THAT ISNT WOBBLY, BUT GOES INTO A COVER, HOOKING THE LEG!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
James Peters: Kickout at two!
Persephone: Which means this match continues on! 🥲
James Peters: Myles pulls Usagi back to her feet, and looks to up the aggression with a STRONG forearm strike, showing how hard he can hit as well! Usagi doubles over, and is on wobbly legs herself now, but Myles stands her back upright, AND BACKS HER INTO THE CORNER WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP THAT ECHOES THROUGHOUT THE ARENA!
Rich Russillo: Usagi can be seen wincing in pain off that chop, showing how much of an effect it had over her.
James Peters: You didn’t need to see Usagi’s reaction to know that hurt, you just needed to hear the noise. Because there was no exaggeration when I said it echoed.
Rich Russillo: Myles grabs the back of Usagi’s neck, and brings her to the corner at the opposite end of the ropes, SLAMMING HER FACE FIRST OFF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Myles pins Usagi up against the corner, AND POPS HER WITH ANOTHER FOREARM SMASH, BONE MEETING JAW!
James Peters: I mentioned that Myles was looking to up the aggression, and up the aggression he did, putting Usagi Senshi on dream street right now. Myles grabs hold of Usagi, and leans her up against the ropes for an irish whip! USAGI REBOUNDS, AND RUNS RIGHT INTO A CALF KICK FROM MYLES, WHO GOES IN TO HOOK THE LEG!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
Rich Russillo: KICKOUT! Myles starts rising off the canvas, not frustrated by Usagi kicking, but seemingly maintaining his focus, his composure, because Myles realizes what that means. He needs to put more of a beatdown on Usagi, who knows that’s she’s in trouble right now, knows that she vulnerable, and rolls away from Myles to build seperation, possibly get her wits about her, and come up with a game plan as she pulls herself back to a vertical base in the corner.
James Peters: Myles is in hot pursuit of Usagi in the corner, tagging her with a FOREARM SMASH ACROSS THE JAW! But he isn’t done, and delivers ANOTHER! BUT USAGI RETALIATES WITH STIFF FOREARM OF HER OWN, STAGGERING MYLES BACK! THAT MIGHT HAVE FIRED HIM UP AS HE MARCHES TOWARDS USAGI IN THE CORNER, BUT WANDERS INTO ANOTHER FOREARM STRIKE THAT SENDS HIM DOWN TO A KNEE!
Rich Russillo: Usagi hops up to the middle rope, seating herself on the top turnbuckle. BUT GOES TUMBLING OVER THE TOP ROPE, AND TO THE RINGSIDE AREA AS MYLES POPPED BACK TO HIS FEET WITH A FOREARM! USAGI HIT THE APRON ON HER WAY DOWN, AND IS COMPLETELY OUT OF IT RINGSIDE!
James Peters: Myles wants to go out there, but the referee holds back, allowing Usagi to pull herself back to a vertical base with help from the apron.
Rich Russillo: Usagi finds her way on the apron, and Myles marches over, grabbing her by the hair, BUT USAGI EXPLODES WITH A ROPE-ASSISTED ENZIGURI THAT STUNS MYLES!
James Peters: USAGI TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THIS, PULLING MYLES HEAD THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE, AND SPIKING HIM ON THE APRON WITH A ROPE HUNG DDT! Myles finds himself rinside, and tries sitting up, attempting to shake the cobwebs out of his head. I can almost guarantee you, ninety-nine perfect of what Myles is hearing at this moment is ringing after that DDT.
Rich Russillo: Usagi slides off the apron, and rolls Myles back into the ring where he rolls into the corner, seating himself there as he tries to get his wits about himself. Ussgi re-enters the ring, and heads to the opposite corner, watching as Myles slowly pulls himself up in his, running off pure instinct, because judging off the look in his eyes, Myles is glossed over, barely having an iota of where he is.
Persephone: If so, the referee should stop the match. Gotta look out for the champion’s health, amirite? 😅
James Peters: I agree with you there, Persephone, but Myles has suffered worse, he’ll be alright.
Persephone: I think we need a medical professional’s opinion on th-
James Peters: USAGI CHARGES IN! BUT MYLES SIDESTEPS WHATEVER SHE HAD PLANNED, AND SENSHI STOPS HERSELF SHORT FROM COLLIDING STERNUM FIRST WITH THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! MYLES RUSHES TOWARD HER, BUT WALKS RIGHT INTO A BACK KICK, DOUBLING HIM OVER!
Rich Russillo: Usagi grabs Myles in a front facelock, AND KICKS OFF THE TOP TURNBUCKLE FOR A TORNADO DDT! MYLES JUST GOT SPIKED FOR A SECOND TIME BY USAGI, AND IF A FIGHTER GETS HIS BELL RUNG JUST RIGHT, IT CAN BE ALL OVER AS USAGI HOOKS THE LEG FOR A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRR-
James Peters: SHOULDER UP! But credit goes where credit is due, Usagi almost had him there. Myles gets to all fours, and starts reaching out for the ropes, managing to get hold of the middle one. Usagi gets to her feet, and grabs Myles by the waist for a rear waistlock, pulling him back to his feet as well. USAGI WANTS A GERMAN SUPLEX, AND MYLES TRIES HOLDING ON TO THE MIDDLE ROPE, BUT GETS DRAGGED AWAY BY USAGI, LEAVING HIM IN FINGERTIPS LENGTH!
Rich Russillo: USAGI WANTS THE GERMAN SUPLEX, BUT MYLES BACKFLIPS TO HIS FEET! USAGI HURRIES TO HERS, AND CHARGES AT MYLES, WHO BACKPEDALS, USING USAGI’S MOMENTUM AGAINST HER AS HE SIDESTEPS, AND SENDS HER TUMBLING THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE IN THE PROCESS!
James Peters: Usagi is on all fours, and slowly starting to stir on the outside. The crowd reaction starts to grow, because Myles is getting that dangerous look in his eyes, that look where the wheels are beginning to turn.
Persephone: Myles is about to visit the high rent district!
James Peters: MYLES RUNS OFF THE ROPES, AND BUILDS STEAM FOR A TOPE CON GIRO ONTO USAGI, WIPING HIS OPPONENT OUT RINGSIDE! MYLES CAME IN WITH SO MUCH MOMENTUM, HE ALMOST OVERSHOT IT, WHICH JUST GOES TO SHOW THE FREAKY ATHLETICISM OF MYLES, WHO QUICKLY ROLLS USAGI BACK INTO THE RING!
Rich Russillo: USAGI IS UP TO ALL FOURS, AND MYLES SCALES TO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE, WATCHING AS SHE GETS TO HER FEET SOON AFTERWARDS! MYLES DIVES DOWN WITH A METEORA, ROLLING THROUGH TO HIS FEET, AND RUSHING INTO A COVER!
ONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEE-
James Peters: AND ANOTHER KICKOUT BY USAGI, WHO MANAGES TO STAY IN THIS FIGHT! …Myles slowly gets back to his feet, and Usagi gets to all fours. Myles pulls her to a vertical base, and hooks her up in position for as suplex, or we’ve seen Myles like to hit the brainbuster. USAGI GETS HOISTED UP- BUT REIGNS DOWN WITH A KNEE TO THE TEMPLE OF MYLES, CAUSING HIM TO DOUBLE OVER, AND PUT HER DOWN IN THE PROCESS!
Rich Russillo: USAGI CATCHES HER BREATH BEFORE RUNNING OFF THE ROPES IN FRONT OF MYLES- VICTORIA! POP UP KNEE STRIKE CONNECTS, BUT MYLES CANT CAPITALIZE AS HE COLLAPSES DOWN TO THE CANVAS, SPRAWLED OUT!
James Peters: Both competitors are laid out, and if neither can beat the referee’s count of ten, then this match will be called off!
Persephone: :mjlit:
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
James Peters: The referee can only get to five as Myles struggles back to his feet first, but Usagi isn’t far behind getting to a knee. Myles stumbles over, and stands her up to deliver a FOREARM SMASH! BUT USAGI RETURNS FIRE WITH ONE OF HER OWN, STAGGERING MYLES MOMENTARILY BEFORE HE ANSWERS WITH ANOTHER FOREARM SMASH!
Rich Russillo: FOREARM BY USAGI! FOREARM BY MYLES! FOREARM BY USAGI! MYLES! AND THAT FOREARM MIGHTVE GIVEN HIM THE UPPER HAND AS USAGI STAGGERS BACK BY THE ROPES, BUT MYLES WALKS INTO ANOTHER FOREARM SMASH! MYLES! USAGI! MYLES! USAGI! MYLES! USAGI! MYLES! USAGI! MYLES! USAGI! MYLES! USAGI! MYLES! USAGI! MYLES! USAGI! I’M GETTING OUT OF BREATH!
James Peters: SO ARE MYLES AND USAGI AS SENSHI’S LAST FOREARM DIDNT HAVE MUCH UMPH BEHIND IT! MYLES SCORES WITH A FOREARM! BUT A STRONG FOREARM BY USAGI CAUSES HIM TO STUMBLE BACK, AND REBOUND OFF THE ROPES, RUNNING INTO ANOTHER FOREARM! A GROGGY MYLES REBOUNDS OFF THE ROPES AGAIN, AND RUNS INTO A FOREARM FOR A SECOND TIME… THEN A THIRD!
Rich Russillo: BUT SHE STRINGS TOGETHER A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT, SPINNING BACKFIST, AND ROUNDHOUSE KICK THAT BRINGS MYLES DOWN TO A KNEE! USAGI RUNS OFF THE ROPES IN FRONT OF HIM, BUT MYLES GETS A SECOND WIND, TURNING USAGI INSIDE OUT WITH A CLOTHESLINE! MYLES COLLAPSES DOWN TO BOTH KNEES, FEELING THE EFFECTS OF THAT ELITE COMBO HE SUFFERED!
James Peters; However, Myles is starting to fire up, and grits through the pain as he gets back to his feet, pulling Usagi to her’s, and irish whips her towards the ropes! Myles ducks down, perhaps signaling a back body drop early. BUT USAGI CATCHES HIM WITH A PENALTY KICK TO THE NOSE, JOLTING MYLES BACK UP, AND PLACING HIM ON WOBBLY LEGS!
Rich Russillo: MYLES TRIES FOR A CLOTHESLINE, BUT USAGI CATCHES HIM IN A FLYING ARMBAR! FLYING ARMBAR! MYLES IS TRYING TO KEEP HIS HANDS CLASPED, WHICH SENSHI IS TRYING TO PRY APART! BUT ISNT MAKING MUCH PROGRESS IN DOING SO, CAUSING HER TO SWITCH GAMEPLANS, TRANSITIONING INTO A TRIANGLE CHOKE INSTEAD!
James Peters: MYLES KNOWS HOW DANGEROUS THIS HOLD CAN BE, AND QUICKLY FINDS HIS FOOTING, LIFTING USAGI OFF THE CANVAS, AND PLANTING HER WITH A POWERBOMB TO BREAK THE HOLD!
Rich Russillo: Myles staggers back up against the ropes, trying to regain his breath, and Usagi slowly gets back to her feet. Myles marches towards her, leaning Usagi up against the ropes with right hands, forcing her to cover up. USAGI EXPLODES WITH A RIGHT HAND OF HER OWN, AND TRIES WITH A CLOTHESLINE, BUT GETS CAUGHT WITH A FLATLINER! But can’t capitalize as both competitors are down, exhausted from partaking in such a grueling match.
Persephone: Who’s gonna get to their feet first?
James Peters: Usagi is to her’s first, albeit barely before Myles, who gets to a knee. Usagi hoists him on her shoulders in a fireman’s carry, and wants Critical Darling! BUT MYLES FIGHT OUT OF THE SAMOAN DRIVER WITH ELBOWS TO THE JAW BEFORE SLIPPING OFF USAGI’S SHOULDERS, LANDING BEHIND HIS OPPONENT! BUT A PELE KICK SENDS MYLES STAGGERING BACK INTO THE CORNER!
Rich Russillo: Usagi performs a knife edge chop to the chest, and runs toward the opposite corner to build momentum! BUT MYLES CHASES AFTER HER, AND GOES FOR A BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE IN THE CORNER AS USAGI TURNS AROUND! BUT SHE MANAGES TO SIDESTEP, GETTING OUT THE WAY JUST IN TIME, CAUSING MYLES KNEE TO COLLIDE WITH THE TOP TURNBUCKLE, AND A HIGH ANGLE RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX SENDS MYLES TO THE CENTER OF THE RING!
James Peters: USAGI SIGNALS FOR THE BEGINNING OF THE END, AND STALKS MYLES AS HE SLOWLY GETS BACK TO HIS FEET FROM THE CORNER! FATALI- NO! MYLES SIDESTEPS A BICYCLE KNEE STRIKE! USAGI SPINS AROUND TO DELIVER A CLOTHESLINE, BUT HER ARM GETS CAUGHT BY MYLES FOR DE FACTO! DE FACTO CONNECTS, AND NOW THE COVER IS MADE BY MYLES!!!!
ONNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
TWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Bella Braxton: HERES YOUR WINNER… MYLES!!!
(‘Enemy Strike’ plays to a loud reaction from fans, who are proud to witness such a hard fought match. Myles sits up off the body of Usagi Senshi, and the World Championship is placed in his lap by the referee.)
James Peters: What a match between these two competitors!
Rich Russillo: Both left it all on the table, especially Usagi, who realized what a big win this could be for her. But in the end, Myles walks out of this with his hand raised.
James Peters: And the rides the wave of momentum into Tempest.
(Suddenly, the lights in the arena go out, and laughing can be heard. But once the lights come on, an annoyed Myles notices that Caine is standing right beside him. Myles turns around to face him, and the duo stare daggers into one another before-)
James Peters: MANDIBLE CLAW! CAINE HAS MYLES IN THE DEATH ROW!
Persephone: SO MUCH FOR MYLES WALKING OUT OF THIS!
James Peters: SAMAEL BACKS MYLES INTO THE CORNER, GIVING HIM NOWHERE TO GO! MYLES IS STRUGGLING IN THAT MANEUVER, BUT CANT OVERPOWER CAINE, ESPECIALLY AFTER HE’S BEEN THROUGH A MATCH!
Rich Russillo: MYLES SINKS DOWN IN THE CORNER, GETTING SUBDUED BY THAT MANDIBLE CLAW!
Persephone: THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO AT THIS VERY MOMENT THAT’LL BE ENOUGH TO DEFEND HIMSELF! MYLES IS IN TROUBLE!
Rich Russillo: WITH HIS WAY OPPONENT MADE ALMOST UNCONSCIOUS, CAINE BRINGS MYLES TO THE CENTER OF THE RING FOR A CHOKESLAM! BUT CAINE GRIPS MYLES BY THE THROAT, PULLING HIM BACK TO HIS FEET FOR ANOTHER CHOKESLAM!
James Peters: WAIT! HE ISNT DONE, GRABBING MYLES BY THE THROAT, AND PULLING HIM BACK TO HIS FEET FOR ANOTHER CHOKESLAM!
Persephone: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Rich Russillo: NOT UNTIL CAINE SAYS IT IS AS HE PULLS MYLES BACK TO HIS FEET, AND PLANTS HIM WITH R.I.P! MYLES GETS SPIKED WITH R.I.P, AND CAINE KNEELS OVER AN UNCONSCIOUS MYLES!
James Peters: CAINE CAUGHT MYLES OFF GUARD TONIGHT, BUT IT MAY JUST TAKE A LOT MORE THAN THIS AT TEMPEST! CAINE, SAMAEL, OR MICHAEL IS IN FOR THE FIGHT OF THEIR LIVES AT TEMPEST!
(Caine continues staring down at Myles to a raucous reaction from fans as the camera fades elsewhere.)
(Promotional ad for Tempest, where Methuselah takes on Theron Nikolas.)
(Voltage returns from its final commercial and the camera fades to Bella Braxton in the ring.)
James Peters: Time for the match we all came to see here tonight! Should be a real classic!
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen it is now time for our main event of the eveni-
Rich Russillo: Wait what the-
(However, before Bella Braxton can complete her statement suddenly a figure jumps into the ring out of the crowd wearing a hoodie. The figure is shown swinging a blood stained lead pipe around in their hand causing Bella to back out of the ring leaving the microphone on the ground. EAW security is shown pursuing the figure through the crowd and surrounds the ring.)
Persephone: Oh no! Does this mean the main event is cancelled? Whatever will we do!
(The hooded figure picks up the microphone and begins to speak to the crowd as security begins to climb up to the apron.)
???: Orale y’all best be gettin’ yo tranquilo on real quick. I ain’t playin’ around tonight! Y’all wanna get to tossin’ me out the arena. You gonna get that chance. But first off a vato got somethin’ to say!
(The crowd begins to cheer as the hooded figure unmasks to reveal TLA who swings at the guards with the lead pipe causing them to back off. Several of the guards are shown climbing into the ring. TLA appears to slip something into the hand of the head of security who nods and holds up five fingers before stepping out of the ring to wait.)
Rich Russillo: Looks like TLA has some amigos in EAW security. They are going to be allowing him five minutes to say what he has to say. But then we have a main event to get to.
Persephone: Did he just bribe an EAW security guard?
James Peters: We really should just start the main event right now anyway. I am sure Sheridan and Methuselah are waiting right back behind the curtain.
Persephone: :whoa: ! I mean it couldn’t hurt to wait a bit I guess.
TLA: Yo Kansas City we doin’ big vato thangs up in this tonight! They be gettin’ a little salty with yo boi for gettin’ mah lucha on. But ain’t no thang ain’t got no shame about it. Cuz this is KC home of them campeones and you know I done came here to fight!
(The crowd cheers loudly as various fans are shown repping their Kansas City Chiefs merchandise still celebrating their Super Bowl victory last month.)
TLA: Last week Sheridan made it real clear that she was looking for a fight. She ain’t accepting no apologies. Ain’t willing to move past the beef. Nah she wanna get to beefin’ so I came here this week looking for a fight. She done spent all week making her little videos spreading lies about me claiming I ain’t apologize talking all kinds of smack about the food I be eating. Yo imma deal with y’all but you done crossed that line bringing all that Taco Bell type mierda up into it frfr!
Crowd: [BLEEP] TACO BELL! [BLEEP] TACO BELL! [BLEEP] TACO BELL!
TLA: All facts. No lies. Pero y’all know who I be. She done messed with the wrong one! This is TLA you dealin’ with chica and I ain’t going to be bullied by the likes of you. Ain’t going to be bullied by the likes of anyone. You want some? I ain’t hard to find. Gonna make it real easy for y’all.
(TLA points to a billboard in the arena featuring a purple Methuselah with glowing eyes hyping the upcoming event on March 19th.)
TLA: Sheridan Müller! You and me! At Tempest! I ain’t even going to leave this ring until you get out here and accept that match. Unless you too much of a pu-
( ‘Amerika’ by Rammstein hits to a mixed reaction from the crowd as Sheridan Müller steps out onto stage in her ring gear. She is visibly battered and bruised and not in good shape as she carries a microphone out to the stage. She walks down the ramp at a much slower pace than she usually would due to her injuries, but on her way to the ring she begins to speak.)
Sheridan Müller: Don’t even waste your breath. I accept your challenge. I will face you at Tempest.
(There’s loud cheers from the crowd hearing that Sheridan accepted the challenge, and Sheridan slowly walks up the steel steps, entering the ring before continuing to speak.)
Sheridan Müller: I don’t know who you think I am TLA, but you clearly had the wrong idea if you thought an attack like that would keep me down. I don’t back down from fights, especially not fights from people who try to humiliate me for weeks. There’s nobody in this company that I’m afraid of facing. If somebody wants a fight then I’ve always been happy to give them one and you’re no exception to that. I thought that with our history I could trust you to make the right choices and at least admit you were wrong after what your former associates did to me, but clearly that was a mistake. Instead of admitting to your wrongdoings you tried to make me look like a fool. You tried to pretend that I was simply being irrational, and that you had it worse because of some deal that fell through. That’s not even addressing what you did earlier, so if you thought for one second that I wouldn’t accept your challenge and face you at Tempest, you may not even know the first thing about me.
TLA: Good good we gonna throw down then. Gonna get our lucha on. You know I ain’t expect nothing less. You want to fight and I know you want to fight so I am giving you exactly what you want. You ain’t going to accept my apology but you can accept these manos instead. Accept the beatdown imma deliver to you at Tempest cuz I just be wildin’ out here. You thought you had it bad that you getting all up involved in my business had some bad repercussions for you. But that was all an accident. At Tempest it’s going to be all intentional and I guarantee that imma mess you up a whole lot worse than some fat perv who wasn’t even able to lay his hands on you before you done laid him out. You thought that you looked like a fool before imma make you look like a fool on the grandest stage in something that you actually care about. Going to humiliate you in that ring and show you that maybe y’all would have been just better off walking away instead of continuing to harass me over a mistake.
Sheridan Müller: You should be ashamed of yourself. It was a lot more than a “mistake” and you know that. The fact that you’re still reducing what happened that night to something as trivial as a “mistake” is shameful. A mistake is a small problem that could easily be fixed. What you did, or more accurately what you allowed the same people you were hoping to work with to do was far worse than just some small mistake. I’m not about to apologize or pretend that I did anything wrong when you continue to make excuses for a problem that ultimately started because of your own lack of responsibility. You allowed those people to come to Voltage. You allowed them to do what they wanted, and because of all the freedom that you gave them, one of them thought it’d be okay to try and touch me.I let you off easy back when I punched you in the face, and I learned very quickly that I made a mistake doing so. At Tempest I won’t make that mistake again, I’m going to make sure you realize that I’m not the type of person you want to try and humiliate.
TLA: Ayyy ahora te entiendo. I see what this is all about. You just wanting to shame me. You just want me to feel ashamed about myself. To get down on my knees and beg for forgiveness and grovel and humiliate myself for your pleasure. That’s what this is all about chica? Well I ain’t about to give you none of that satisfaction. I ain’t just some cuck that y’all can push around. You want that you can head all up into the Poon Palace and pay for it. I am sure there be some hombres who are into that kind of thing. But I ain’t just going to lie down and take it. You be so angry and so humiliated cuz some other dude tryna do something to do tryna touch you. But then y’all done went and actually did lay hands on me. You punched me out and I can chalk that up to the heat of the confusion. But even now weeks later you still ain’t letting it go so now like I said before we got a problem and I plan on settling it. You done came at me and chose violence. So now you gots to live with yo choice.
Sheridan Müller: That’s fine with me. I know what I did, and I’m not going to pretend that I regret any part of it. As far as I’m concerned I just gave you what you deserved, and like I said, I am not afraid of a fight. You walked out here and decided that you wanted to take this to Tempest and the first thing that I did was accept your challenge. At Tempest we will settle our differences and the better competitor will be the last one standing. That will be me.
(As Sheridan finishes speaking, a referee heads down the ramp and to the ring, telling Sheridan that it’s time for her match. Sheridan and TLA look at each other once more, and TLA begins to speak.)
TLA: Good luck in yo match tonight chica. Looks like you gonna need it. You ain’t looking so well. Should prolly work on yo diet. Maybe after the match you best skip out on that catering. Taco Bell will do that to you. Head on down the calle to get some real Mexican food. Have you feelin’ back to one hundred percent in no time! Would be a real shame if y’all was anything less the next time you cross paths with a real one.
(TLA and Sheridan have a small staredown, before finally TLA begins to walk out of the ring. ‘Ambitionz az a Ridah’ begins to play as TLA starts to head up the ramp.)
James Peters: Well there you have it! That’s another match confirmed for Tempest as TLA will be taking on Sheridan Müller! Things between them have gotten far more violent than I could’ve expected them to.
Rich Russillo: You’re right about that, and unfortunately that might just have an effect on tonight’s main event, as an injured Sheridan Müller is about to go one on one with Methuselah! This was some awful timing for her.
Persephone: You’re right, but she doesn’t look too scared despite the fact that she’s about to face Methuselah while hurt.
James Peters: That’s a good point. It seems like Sheridan is ready, both for her match at Tempest and her match up next.
(As TLA heads up the ramp, Sheridan Müller remains in the ring as she prepares for her match. There’s a loud mixed reaction from the crowd, and as Sheridan waits in her corner. She has a calm look on her face, trying to ignore her injuries and prepare herself mentally for the upcoming match.)
Bella Braxton: Ladies and gentlemen… The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL!!!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!!!
Bella Braxton: Already in the ring… Residing in Atlanta, Georgia… Weighing in at 135 pounds…. SSSHHHEEEERRRIIIIDDDANNNN MMMMMMÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜÜLLLEERRRRR!!!!!!!
James Peters: Guys, I’m still not sure about this. Even if she’s had most of the night to recover, it clearly wasn’t some normal brawl she was in. For her to have been bleeding that badly and completely unconscious, there’s just no way she’s actually in wrestling shape right now.
Rich Russillo: I think we all feel the same way, but it looks like Sheridan is just going to roll with it. For what it’s worth, a competitor as smart as her has to have some kind of plan. She wouldn’t walk into a match with such a clear disadvantage without something up her sleeve.
Persephone: Yeah, but what could that be? Let’s not forget, just because TLA left doesn’t mean he won’t come back. He’ll probably just try to hurt her even more or something.
(Smoke rises from the stage as ‘Blackstar’ by David Bowie hits, and before long a blue spotlight shines on the man this music belongs to. Methuselah is seen standing on the stage as Sheridan Müller waits inside of the ring. Slowly, Methuselah walks out of the fog, not paying any attention to the loud boos from the fans and only focusing on the ring. He walks down the ramp with a calm look on his face, seemingly prepared for this match as he makes his way towards the ring.)
Bella Braxton: And her opponent… From the Solitary Candle in the Villa of Ormen… Weighing in at 220 pounds…. MMMEEETTHHUUUUUUSSEEELLLAAAHHHHH!!!!!
James Peters: Sheridan’s not the only one who’s been in a heated feud as of late. Theron Nikolas had a bad night earlier, though I’d still watch my back if I was Methuselah.
Rich Russillo: That’s the thing, though. You’re not Methuselah. None of us are, and even after all this time I’m struggling to understand him even slightly. That’s what’s going to really make this match challenging for Sheridan.
Persephone: Well, it will definitely be a great match, that’s for sure!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
James Peters: Here we go! Sheridan Müller is up against Methuselah, though I have to admit I’m not too sure if Sheridan should be competing knowing that she’s injured! We saw what happened to Ronan Malosi and Kassidy Heart when both of them tried to wrestle while hurt. Things didn’t go their way. Sure, everyone is different, but let’s also not forget who Sheridan is up against tonight. If this was just any other match, sure, but she’s facing Methuselah. Even so Sheridan somehow looks ready for this, and I guess it just ties back to what she said about always being ready for a fight.
Rich Russillo: Both Elitists slowly approach each other as Sheridan seems to be very cautious in her approach, knowing that the second Methuselah gains control things could go very badly for her. Both Elitists slowly start to circle the ring- UNTIL FINALLY SHERIDAN LOOKS FOR A DROPKICK TO THE LEG- NO! METHUSELAH MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AND TRIES TO HIT SHERIDAN WITH A BOOT TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD, BUT SHERIDAN PULLS HERSELF OUT OF HARMS WAY BEFORE IT COULD CONNECT! SHERIDAN NOW GRABBING METHUSELAH FROM BEHIND! ENDLESS FANTASIES-
Persephone: NO! JUST AS SHERIDAN TURNED METHUSELAH AROUND FOR THE RIPCORD, METHUSELAH PULLED SHERIDAN IN AND LIFTED HER UP FOR A SCOOP SLAM- WHICH SHERIDAN IS BARELY ABLE TO ESCAPE BEFORE TURNING METHUSELAH AROUND AN HITTING HIM WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! Sheridan now kicks Methuselah’s leg out from under him as he drops to a knee, AND NOW SHE GOES FOR A ROUNDHOUSE KICK- BUT METHUSELAH DUCKS UNDER IT- JUST FOR SHERIDAN TO STOP HERSELF AND DELIVER A BACK ELBOW! Methuselah backpedals into the ropes, AND NOW SHERIDAN RUNS IN- BUT METHUSELAH IS ABLE TO GET A BOOT UP, AND THAT ALONE CAUSED HER TO DROP TO A KNEE! That was only the first hit she’s taken, she clearly shouldn’t be out here right now! Let’s call for the bell!
James Peters: It doesn’t look like Sheridan wants that. She’s pushing herself back up, BUT METHUSELAH RUNS IN AND DELIVERS A KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION, CAUSING SHERIDAN TO DROP DOWN TO ALL FOURS! Remember she was holding her ribs earlier in the night! I don’t know if that was a targeted attack from Methuselah but it was clearly effective! Sheridan is fighting an uphill battle here, an injury like this is NOT what you want when your opponent is Methuselah of all people! Of all the nights TLA could have done what he did, he picked the one that could potentially cost Sheridan a huge victory!
Rich Russillo: Sheridan uses the ropes to get back up, BUT THERE’S ANOTHER KNEE TO THE MIDSECTION BY METHUSELAH! If this wasn’t targeted by Methuselah before, it certainly is after seeing her reaction to the first one! Methuselah now grabs Sheridan before sending her into the ropes, but Sheridan is able to hold onto the opposite pair, stopping herself from falling into Methuselah’s grasp! Methuselah is smart though, and doesn’t even chase after her, bringing these two back to square one as Sheridan has to think of a new game plan!
Persephone: Sheridan once again approaches Methuselah, knowing that he’s just waiting for her to strike, ONLY THIS TIME SHE SLIPS BEHIND HIM, LOOKING TO CATCH HIM OFF GUARD WITH THE SHERPLEX! Methuselah lands a back elbow though, and that causes Sheridan to let go before having to hold onto the ropes to remain on her feet! Methuselah charges in this time- BUT SHERIDAN DROPS DOWN WHILE PULLING THE TOP ROPE WITH HER, CAUSING METHUSELAH TO SPILL OUT OF THE RING AND TO RINGSIDE!
James Peters: Methuselah was caught off guard but he’s still on his feet! He turns towards the ring- JUST TO BE MET WITH A BASEBALL SLIDE DROPKICK BY SHERIDAN!! Sheridan out on the ring apron now as Methuselah stumbles back, AND SHE DIVES AT METHUSELAH, TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A DIVING KNEE STRIKE!!! That was a great combination of moves, but it clearly took a bit out of her judging by how slow she was to get back up! Sheridan isn’t the type of wrestler to lose energy very quickly, but she wasn’t exactly walking into this match at her one hundred percent.
Rich Russillo: Sheridan Müller sends Methuselah back into the ring before sliding in herself- BUT AS SHE WAS GETTING IN THE RING METHUSELAH MANAGED TO QUICKLY GET BACK TO HER FEET, CAUSING SHERIDAN TO RUN RIGHT INTO A HUGE CLOTHESLINE!!! METHUSELAH NEARLY TOOK SHERIDAN’S HEAD OFF WITH THAT!!! Sheridan slid back into the ring quickly to try and make sure Methuselah couldn’t recover in time, but her attempt to capitalize ended up being her own undoing as Methuselah is just too resilient! Seeing how good he did against Myles, resilient might even be an understatement.
Persephone: Sheridan is slowly trying to push herself back up to her feet, AND METHUSELAH JUST GRABS HER BEFORE TOSSING HER INTO THE CORNER OF THE RING! METHUSELAH NOW RUNNING IN, AND HE CONNECTS WITH A CLOTHESLINE IN THE CORNER BEFORE SCOOPING SHERIDAN UP, AND PLANTING HER IN THE CENTER OF THE RING WITH THE SCOOP SLAM!! Methuselah now running the ropes, AND HE GOES FOR THE TWISTING ELBOW DROP- BUT SHERIDAN JUST BARELY MANAGES TO ROLL OUT OF THE WAY, CAUSING METHUSELAH’S ELBOW TO CRASH RIGHT ONTO THE MAT! That was a good save by Sheridan, but it’s not like she can capitalize!
James Peters: Sheridan uses the ropes to get back up as Methuselah holds his elbow on his way back to the ring, AND NOW BOTH ELITISTS CHARGE AT EACH OTHER- BUT SHERIDAN GOES AFTER THE ARM, PULLING METHUSELAH INTO A HAMMERLOCK BEFORE QUICKLY DRIVING THAT ARM INTO THE TURNBUCKLES! SHERIDAN NOW WITH A SNAPMARE- BEFORE PULLING METHUSELAH INTO A TRIANGLE CHOKE, USING METHUSELAH’S HURT ARM! It looks like Sheridan is trying to create a weak spot for Methuselah here by going after that arm! After all, missing that elbow drop had to hurt a bit, and she clearly sees that as an opportunity to make things a lot worse for him!
Rich Russillo: Methuselah doesn’t seem like he’s looking to tap out, though! Instead he’s pushing himself up to a foot before making it back to both feet, AND HE POWERS SHERIDAN MÜLLER UP BEFORE PLANTING HER WITH A POWERBOMB!!!! METHUSELAH NOW WITH THE FIRST COVER OF THE MATCH!
ONE!
TWO!!
THR-
Rich Russillo: SHERIDAN GETS THE SHOULDER UP!!! This match is still on, but that was very close to a three count, especially for the very first cover of the match! Sheridan is clearly not supposed to be wrestling tonight, but she somehow must believe that she actually stands a chance even in this condition. Otherwise, why would you even agree to competing while hurt?
James Peters: Sheridan pulled herself to the ropes as Methuselah shakes off the pain in his arm, and now he pulls Sheridan up, BEFORE DELIVERING A PUNCH TO THE MIDSECTION, AND THAT’S NOT THE ONLY ONE HE DELIVERS EITHER! METHUSELAH STARTS DELIVERING SWIFT BODY PUNCHES AS SHERIDAN IS FORCED TO TRY AND BLOCK THE STRIKES- AND SUDDENLY METHUSELAH CATCHES OFF GUARD WITH A SPINNING BACK FIST, CAUSING SHERIDAN TO STUMBLE TOWARDS THE CORNER! Methuselah now lifting Sheridan up to the top rope, and it looks like he has something planned here!
Rich Russillo: Methuselah climbs up the middle rope before grabbing Sheridan and pulling her into a front face lock… And wait a minute, METHUSELAH PULLS SHERIDAN INTO A DOUBLE UNDER HOOK!!! METHUSELAH IS SETTING UP FOR THE SUPER BUTTERFLY EFFECT- BUT NO! SHERIDAN SOMEHOW MANAGES TO SLIP OFF THE TOP ROPE RIGHT UNDER METHUSELAH!!! SHERIDAN BARELY AVOIDS A MOVE THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO END THE MATCH ENTIRELY, AND NOW SHE PULLS METHUSELAH’S LEGS OUT FROM UNDER HIM, CAUSING METHUSELAH’S FACE TO HIT THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!!
Persephone: SHERIDAN QUICKLY RUNS IN AND HITS METHUSELAH WITH A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT AS SOON AS HE TURNED AROUND, CAUSING HIM TO STUMBLE INTO A SEATED POSITION IN THE CORNER! SHERIDAN MÜLLER NOW RUNNING TO THE OPPOSITE CORNER BEFORE CHARGING IN, AND SHE HITS METHUSELAH WITH A RUNNING CANNONBALL!!! SHE RUNS TO THE OPPOSITE CORNER ONCE AGAIN BEFORE CHARGING BACK IN, AND THERE’S A SECOND CANNONBALL!!! SHERIDAN PULLS METHUSELAH OUT OF THE CORNER, AND THERE’S THE COVER TO PUT THIS MATCH AWAY!
ONE!
T-
Persephone: Methuselah just kicked out… 🙃
James Peters: As great as that combination from Sheridan Müller was, we can’t forget that Methuselah is unlike… Well literally anybody in this industry. He’s been able to take some of the most devastating moves EAW has seen and not just kick out, but kick out at one! Sheridan slowly rolls off of Methuselah, and somehow she’s going to have to find a way to keep up the offense without the risk of doing any more damage to herself! She’s walking into this match hurt really badly, and from the look of things, it’ll take a lot more for these two to be on equal footing.
Rich Russillo: Sheridan seems to know that herself too, AS SHE QUICKLY TURNS AND HITS METHUSELAH WITH A HARD HITTING ELBOW STRIKE!! THAT HAD TO HURT, AND AS SOON AS METHUSELAH TURNS HIS FACE AWAY, SHERIDAN QUICKLY PUSHES HIM ONTO HIS STOMACH BEFORE GRABBING HIS ARM AND LOCKING IN A FUJIWARA ARMBAR!! THAT’S THE SAME ARM THAT SHERIDAN TARGETED EARLIER, ONLY THIS TIME SHE’S USING A MOVE THAT COMPLETELY FOCUSED ON ARM DAMAGE AS SHE’S SERIOUSLY TRYING TO WEAKEN METHUSELAH HERE!! HE DIDN’T TAP OUT TO THE TRIANGLE CHOKE, WILL THIS WORK ANY BETTER!?
Persephone: Should she even be trying to make him tap out at this point? If all those moves only got a one count, why would she think that an arm bar would make him tap out?
James Peters: I think it’s about more than just whether or not he’ll tap out! If she can do the damage and Methuselah only has one good arm to work with, it’ll be one step closer to not just evening the odds, but swinging the odds in her favor entirely!
Persephone: That makes sense. I wonder if that will end up doing her any good, though.
James Peters: I guess we’ll have to see. As of right now though, I’m not too sure!
Rich Russillo: Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, BUT METHUSELAH IS STIRRING, AND HE JUST MANAGED TO TURN HIS BODY AROUND AND PUSH SHERIDAN OVER HIM, CAUSING HER TO HAVE TO LET GO OF THE FUJIWARA ARMBAR- BUT WAIT! SHERIDAN MÜLLER MUST HAVE ACCOUNTED FOR THAT AS SHE JUST RAN THE ROPES, AND AS SOON AS METHUSELAH GETS UP SHE JUMPS AT HIM, TAKING HIM DOWN AS SHE TRANSITIONS INTO THE CROSS ARMBAR!!!
James Peters: SHERIDAN WITH THE CROSS ARMBAR, AND THIS TIME METHUSELAH MIGHT REALLY BE IN TROUBLE AS THIS IS ONE OF SHERIDAN’S MAIN SUBMISSIONS! THIS TIME WE MIGHT JUST BE PAST THE POINT OF DOING DAMAGE! IF SHERIDAN IS ABLE TO KEEP THIS SUBMISSION IN, SHE MIGHT ACTUALLY HAVE A CHANCE OF MAKING METHUSELAH TAP OUT! She’s doing everything in her power to make this hold as painful as possible for Methuselah, could this be it!? If Sheridan does this it’d undoubtedly be the biggest win she’s picked up since her return, especially considering her current condition! Methuselah is struggling right now!
Rich Russillo: Oh no! He was struggling like you said, but he’s finally managing to turn the tables as he slowly powers Sheridan up, exactly like he did before with the triangle choke! Wait a second- IT LOOKS LIKE SHERIDAN ISN’T MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE THOUGH, AS SHE SENDS METHUSELAH INTO THE CORNER WITH A HURRICANRANA! You really don’t see Sheridan do that often at all, but it was a very effective counter! Sheridan now back to her feet as she charges at Methuselah- BUT METHUSELAH POPS HER UP, CAUSING HER TO SUFFER THE SAME FATE METHUSELAH DID EARLIER AS HER FACE HITS THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!
Persephone: Methuselah showing some very surprising speed as he runs into the opposite corner before charging in, AND NOW HE KICKS SHERIDAN IN THE FACE WITH “RAPTURE”!!!! RAPTURE CONNECTS AS SHERIDAN FALLS ONTO THE MAT, AND NOW METHUSELAH HOOKS THE LEGS!!! YOU COULD COUNT TO A THOUSAND, THIS MATCH IS OVER!!!!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE-
Persephone: Nevermind! You can’t even count to three! 😀
James Peters: WHAT A KICKOUT BY SHERIDAN MÜLLER, SAVING THE MATCH FOR HERSELF JUST BEFORE THE THREE COUNT!! That wasn’t just any move, either! That was Rapture, one of the main moves Methuselah uses!
Rich Russillo: Methuselah now, DROPPING A KNEE ONTO SHERIDAN’S MIDSECTION, AND ONCE AGAIN THAT HAD TO BE TARGETED KNOWING HOW BADLY SHE’S HURT TONIGHT! Methuselah showing just how ruthless he can really be, and now that he knows Sheridan’s plan I doubt he’ll be slowing down whatsoever! Methuselah drags Sheridan up before kneeing her in the midsection, AND NOW HE PULLS HER INTO A FRONT FACELOCK BEFORE SETTING UP FOR POSSIBLY THE EGO DEATH DRIVER- WAIT NO! It looks like we’ll never know if that’s what he had in mind, as Sheridan lands a punch to the midsection before Methuselah could get her up! Usually he’d be able to lift her up much faster, but all those targeted attacks clearly paid off as Methuselah is having to fight through the pain!
Persephone: Methuselah lets go of Sheridan, AND NOW SHERIDAN CONNECTS WITH A STEP-UP ENZUIGIRI, CAUSING METHUSELAH TO BACKPEDAL INTO THE ROPES! Sheridan gets back up- BUT IS IMMEDIATELY TAKEN DOWN BY A RUNNING FOREARM SMASH BY A REBOUNDING METHUSELAH!!! Sheridan uses the ropes to get back up, AND METHUSELAH RUNS IN BEFORE SENDING HER OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!! Sheridan is down and out! Methuselah could probably win this match by countout if he really wanted to!
James Peters: Yeah, but it doesn’t look like that’s what’s going to happen! Methuselah just rolled out of the ring before grabbing Sheridan, AND HE JUST SENDS HER CRASHING INTO THE BARRICADE! At this point I’m not even sure if Sheridan should even try to get up or just take the loss so she doesn’t make things worse for herself, but it doesn’t look like Methuselah is giving her a choice! Methuselah just lifted Sheridan up in a back suplex lift, before just dropping her onto the ring apron! They call it the hardest part of the ring for a reason, that couldn’t have felt nice!
Rich Russillo: Sheridan slowly rolls off of the ring apron, AND NOW METHUSELAH GRABS HER BEFORE AIMING TOWARDS THE RING POS- NO! SHERIDAN TURNS IT AROUND, AND METHUSELAH’S THE ONE SENT INTO THE POST INSTEAD!!!! Sheridan rolls back into the ring before rolling back out to restart the count as Methuselah slowly gets back up, AND NOW SHERIDAN RUNS IN BEFORE DELIVERING A HUGE SHOTGUN DROPKICK, SENDING METHUSELAH CRASHING INTO THE BARRICADE!!! Now it’s Sheridan with the upper hand!
Persephone: Sheridan uses the barricade to pull herself back to her feet before grabbing Methuselah, AND NOW SHE SENDS HIM- WAIT WAIT WAIT! OH NO, METHUSELAH JUST TURNED IT AROUND, AND HE JUST SEND SHERIDAN TUMBLING OVER OUR TABLE!!! That was way too close! Sheridan? Can you hear me? I think you should just stay down!
James Peters: You know very well that she’s not going to do that, especially not when this match is slowly becoming more and more even!
Persephone: If you say so. I’m just saying, Methuselah is on his way over here right now.
(Methuselah approaches Sheridan Müller, slowly pulling her up as he attempts to send her back into the ring. Sheridan manages to catch Methuselah by the hurt arm though, pulling him right into the barricade! Sheridan uses the opportunity to transition into a hammerlock hold, sending Methuselah crashing into the ring post as the hurt arm is crushed between the post and Methuselah’s back!)
James Peters: Sheridan now has the upper hand as he grabs Methuselah by the head and attempts to slam it onto the ring apron- BUT HE STOPS HIMSELF WITH HIS GOOD ARM BEFORE HITTING SHERIDAN WITH A BACK ELBOW! That was enough to get her off of him, and now Methuselah sends Sheridan back into the ring!
Rich Russillo: Methuselah gets up onto the ring apron as Sheridan gets back to her feet, AND SHE CHARGES AT METHUSELAH- BUT METHUSELAH MOVES OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE HITTING SHERIDAN WITH A KNEE TO HER MIDSECTION! Sheridan stumbles backwards as Methuselah gets back in the ring, AND SHERIDAN QUICKLY KICKS HIM IN THE SIDE OF THE LEG, DROPPING HIM TO A KNEE! SHERIDAN NOW NOT WASTING ANY TIME, RUNNING IN WITH A HUGE KNEE STRIKE THAT TAKES METHUSELAH DOWN!
Persephone: Sheridan now running the ropes as Methuselah is getting back up, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THAT MAY HAVE BEEN A MISTAKE AS METHUSELAH JUST CAUGHT HER, DROPPING HER ONTO THE MAT WITH A SNAP POWERSLAM!!!! Methuselah rolls away from Sheridan as he holds his arm, and I think that you guys may have been right earlier. That arm is clearly bothering Methuselah, and it’s probably not gonna be easy to close this match out if he can only use one of his arms! Sheridan is using the ropes to get back up, AND NOW METHUSELAH LOOKS FOR RAPTURE ONCE MORE, THIS TIME WITH SHERIDAN AT THE ROPES!
James Peters: SHERIDAN BARELY AVOIDS IT, BUT SHE CAN’T CAPITALIZE AS EASY AS SHE THOUGHT SHE’D BE ABLE TO AS METHUSELAH LANDS A SIDE ELBOW JUST AS SHE RAN IN! METHUSELAH PULLS HIS LEG OFF THE TOP ROPE BEFORE HITTING SHERIDAN WITH A RIGHT HAND!!! That’s Methuselah’s good arm and it seems like he’s going to have to stick with that for now, AS SHERIDAN HITS METHUSELAH WITH A PALM UPPERCUT! Methuselah stumbles back, BEFORE USING THE RIGHT ARM TO LAND A FOREARM! Usually Sheridan would be able to counter such a predictable attack, but she’s too worn out and hurt to do so and Methuselah himself knows that!
Rich Russillo: That’s true, but it doesn’t look like he can avoid all these strikes either right now! SHERIDAN CONNECTS WITH A RIGHT HAND, AND NOW A LEFT!!! SHERIDAN FOLLOWS IT UP WITH AN ELBOW, BUT METHUSELAH RESPONDS WITH A KICK TO THE MIDSECTION! That kick might have done just as much, if not even more damage than all of Sheridan’s strikes just now! Methuselah now grabbing Sheridan- BUT SHERIDAN SHOVES METHUSELAH INTO THE ROPES- JUST FOR METHUSELAH TO REBOUND OFF OF THEM WITH A HUGE SPEAAARRR!!!!!!
Persephone: WAIT A SECOND!!!! NO, HE DIDN’T GET IT!!!! SHERIDAN CAUGHT THE LEFT ARM BEFORE HE COULD PROPERLY DELIVER THE SPEAR, AND NOW SHE HAS METHUSELAH DOWN ON THE MAT, TRAPPED IN GEHENNA!!!!! GEHENNA IS LOCKED IN, AND THERE’S NOWHERE FOR METHUSELAH TO GO RIGHT NOW!!!! THIS MIGHT JUST BE WHAT SHERIDAN NEEDED, THERE’S JUST NO WAY HE’S GONNA BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF HER MAIN SUBMISSION MOVE!!! Sure Methuselah is resilient and unstoppable and all, but this has been like her main focus throughout the match! She saw this as her best bet and it clearly looks like it’s gonna pay off!
James Peters: Persephone may actually be right this time around! Methuselah has the size and strength advantage and has shown this throughout the match, but Sheridan has also made it a habit to kick at his leg! If that isn’t enough, he also has to be feeling SOME type of fatigue after all the punishment he’s taken! Sheridan has slowly been picking Methuselah apart to turn what looked like an unwinnable situation into an actual victory, and it might just work! How is Methuselah going to escape in the condition that he’s in right now!?
Rich Russillo: EVEN IF YOU’RE RIGHT ABOUT ALL THIS, IT CERTAINLY ISN’T STOPPING HIM FROM TRYING! METHUSELAH SLOWLY GETS TO HIS KNEES AS HE’S STILL TRAPPED IN THIS HOLD, AND WITH HIS GOOD ARM HE STARTS PUSHING HIMSELF BACK UP! METHUSELAH SOMEHOW FIGHTING THROUGH THE PAIN AS HE PLANTS ONE FOOT ONTO THE MAT, BEFORE FINALLY GETTING BACK TO BOTH FEET AND CHARGING DIRECTLY INTO THE CORNER, CAUSING SHERIDAN TO GO BACK FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!!!!
James Peters: METHUSELAH ISN’T THE ONLY ONE FIGHTING THROUGH THE PAIN THOUGH, AS SHERIDAN STILL HAS THE SUBMISSION LOCKED IN!!
Rich Russillo: YOU’RE RIGHT, AND NOW METHUSELAH USES HIS GOOD ARM TO PICK SHERIDAN UP, BEFORE CHARGING INTO THE OPPOSITE CORNER AND ONCE AGAIN SENDING HER BACK FIRST INTO THE TURNBUCKLES!!! SHERIDAN HAS ALREADY TAKEN TOO MUCH DAMAGE IN THAT AREA EVEN BEFORE THE MATCH STARTED, SHE CAN’T TAKE MUCH MORE OF THIS!
Persephone: METHUSELAH HOLDS ONTO SHERIDAN BEFORE RUSHING INTO THE OPPOSITE CORNER, AND FOR THE THIRD TIME HE SENDS HER INTO THE TURNBUCKLES, AND FINALLY SHE LETS GO OF THE SUBMISSION!!!
James Peters: Sheridan slowly stumbles out of the corner, BUT METHUSELAH IS RUNNING THE ROPES ALL WHILE SHE HAS NO IDEA WHERE SHE IS!! SPEEEAAAARRRRR!!!!!! METHUSELAH DELIVERS THE SPEAR, AND NOW HE IS JUST BARELY ABLE TO HOOK THE LEG!!!!!
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Bella Braxton: Here is your winner…. MMMEEEEETTTHHHHUUUUUSSSEEEELLLAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
James Peters: Wow. That is all I can say! I knew this would be an exciting match when it was first announced, but after TLA’s attack on Sheridan I wasn’t even sure that she’d last five minutes! I clearly was wrong to doubt her, and I’m so glad that I was because this was an amazing main event!
Rich Russillo: Methuselah’s first match was just an exchange of huge moves between opponents. Sheridan took a different approach knowing that she’s injured and likely wouldn’t be able to take all those moves! Honestly.. Who knows what would have happened if TLA never attacked? We might have seen a different result entirely!
Persephone: Yeah, I really thought Methuselah was going to tap out there, but this is Methuselah after all. Are we really sure he’s human?
James Peters: Both Elitists showed a lot of heart tonight, but in the end Methuselah manages to leave Voltage with the victory. Theron Nikolas has a real tough night ahead of him at Tempest, I’ll say that much.
Rich Russillo: Congratulations to Methuselah!
(‘Blackstar’ hits to really loud boos, and Methuselah slowly gets back to his feet. He takes a second to catch his breath, before the referee slowly approaches him and cautiously raises his hand. Sheridan slowly rolls out of the ring, but that’s all she can do as she’s barely in any condition to get up after what she went through tonight. Methuselah shakes off the pain in his arm, and without even looking at his opponent, he walks out of the ring. As Methuselah slowly begins to walk up the ramp the camera begins fading to black, and Voltage comes to a close.)
