(RECAP–Last week, Saturday Night Showdown took place from the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, West Virginia. The show kicks off with Pandora Paisley, Amir Yusuf, Jon Kelton, and Londyn Zelaya, now known as Devolution, coming to the ring and talking about everything that’s going to change before Ms. Extreme and Dominion come out and are more than ready to fight before Kennedy Street comes on the titantron and announces Devolution taking on Dominion and Ms. Extreme in Trios No Disqualification Match at Grand Rampage. The opening match has Ryan Joseph Wilson defeating Drake Armstrong by disqualification after Drake wouldn’t answer the five count. Backstage, numerous Showdown Elitists are backstage proclaiming they should be next in line and GM Kennedy Street announces them all for the Grand Rampage match, but then tells Major Scotty that he would be receiving a shot at the New Breed Championship at a time of her choosing. The next match has Pandora Paisley defeating Komatsu Ogawa in singles action. )
(The recap plays on as Jack Ripley interrupts GM Kennedy as she talks to the newest Showdown Elitist, Nyx. Kennedy tells Jack to take care of Donovan Duke and take him completely out of the picture, to which Jack more than happily agrees to do. Which leads to the Pure Rules match where Donovan Duke defeats Jack Ripley with an inside cradle to win. After the match, Jack takes out his frustration on the referee. Then we go backstage to see Adam Lucas talking with Kassidy Heart and wondering who she thinks attacks her attacker is before Impact comes in and tries to end the conversation and Adam asks if Impact could have done it before leaving, but leaves Kassidy truly thinking about if Impact really could have attacked her. The next match has Ashlynn Quinn and Veena Adams defeating Lexi and Hans Grayson in tag team action, but after the match, Chris Elite –who was on commentary– tries to kick Veena with the Box Office Smash, but once again kicks Ashlynn in the face. )
(The recap continues as Richard Tracie P.I. continues his investigation as to who attacked Kassidy Heart including the interrogations of Roberto De La Rosa and La Familia along with POTARA! The next match has Xander Payne and Jon Kelton fighting to a no contest as the two competitors were brawling after interference by Londyn. Eventually, Amir Yusuf, Pandora Paisley, and Ms. Extreme come out to make this a six person brawl leading to security and extra referees come out to break up the fight. The final event of the evening is the Contract signing between Jake Smith and Alex Myers for the Answers World Championship at Grand Rampage. Both competitors make their statements and sign the contract before everything breaks down which ends with Alex putting Jake through the table before holding up the Answers World Championship in the air as recap ends…)
(“Brick Wall” by A Day to Remember starts playing throughout the arena and the crowd immediately starts cheering wildly as they know that another exciting edition of Saturday Night Showdown. This week, Showdown is taking place from the Prudential Center in the home of Elite Answers Wrestling: Newark, New Jersey! The camera scans across the raucous crowd who are holding all of their colorful, creative, and clever signs either supporting their favorites or making fun of the ones they hate. After a few moments of scanning throughout the entire arena, the camera settles at the commentary table where Deadprez, Eve, and Gavin Kirkland are sitting and more than ready to call all of tonight’s Showdown action.)
Deadprez: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another amazing edition of SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN! I am the one and only Deadprez and alongside Eve and Gavin Kirkland, we will be calling all the Showdown. We are only two weeks away from Grand Rampage and things are only building up.
Eve: That’s right, Prezzy. Not only that, we are in the home base of Elite Answers Wrestling. We are in Newark, New Jersey and what a show we have. Tonight, Mikaela Street has a sit down interview with Ryan Joseph Wilson and Xander Payne, DOMINION!
Gavin Kirkland: WOOOOOOOO! I am ready for tonight. We also have Kassidy Heart here tonight as she addresses her fellow Grand Rampage opponents.
Eve: Speaking of Kassidy, Richard Tracie, P.I. is once again here to continue his investigation and interrogations into who attacked Kassidy Heart.
Deadprez: We also have a great set of matches for you tonight. We have tag team action as Donovan Duke and Adam Lucas team up to take on Devolution’s Amir Yusuf and Jon Kelton. Will Pandora and Londyn at ringside lead to Devolution picking up the win or will Duke and Adam overcome the numbers game
Gavin Kirkland: Oh Prezzy! You know how much I love this part because WE WRESTLE!! Also tonight, we have A DEBUT!! Tonight is the highly anticipated debut of Nyx as she takes on Lucas Johnson.
Eve: We also have a special Grand Rampage treat for everybody. We have Hans Grayson, Drake Armstrong, Harley Lewis, and Major Scotty Connor in an Over the Top Rope Challenge. The only way to win is to be the last man standing. Who will win?
Gavin Kirkland: We also have Chris Elite taking on Ashlynn Quinn with the National Elite Champion Veena Adams at ringside. Ashlynn has been hit with the Box Office Smash two weeks in a row. Will Ashlynn get revenge or will Elite make it three in a row?
Eve: We also have ladies action on the horizon as the fired up Ms. Extreme takes on Lexi. Will Camille get some momentum heading into Grand Rampage or will Lexi put all of that to a screeching halt?
Deadprez: Finally, in our main event we have more tag team action as the Answers World Champion Jake Smith teams up with his challenger Alex Myers to take on POTARA! Will Alex and Jake be able to coexist or will the tag team continuity bring Holly and Harper victory? That’s tonight, but right now, let’s take it to the ring where the lovely Gina Romano is ready to start the introductions for our opening contest of SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN!

( Saturday Night Showdown returns from a commercial break with ‘Paint it Black’ by Rolling Stones playing throughout the arena, eliciting a huge boo from the crowd. Jon Kelton and Amir Yusuf walk out together, full of focus, with Pandora Paisley and a big smile on her face, and Londyn Zelaya following behind. Both Kelton and Amir walk toward the ring with determination to win against Adam and Donovan tonight. )

Gavin Kirkland: Oh speaking of someone, hey Imp, how it’s going?
( The scene cuts to Impact, who is sitting next to the commentary table, putting on his headphones. He doesn’t seem to have much reaction to the match or anything else, as he’s just there for one thing. )
Impact: As fine as old wine.
Gavin Kirkland: right, right.
( Kelton and Amir enter the ring together, as ‘You Know My Name’ by Chris Cornell plays throughout the arena, eliciting a big cheer from the crowd. Adam Lucas comes out, with Donovan Duke following him from behind. Adam and Donovan walk down to the ring together, with Donovan entering the ring and pointing at Amir, who is trying to tease him with an early attack in this match. Meanwhile, Adam pauses at ringside and takes a look at Impact for a second, with Impact looking back at him. Adam shakes his head, then goes into the ring. )

Eve: Adam takes a quick look at Impact, knowing that soon these two will clash against each other at Grand Rampage. If Impact wins, he will earn the right to be part of the Pain For Pride main event against Adam and Jake for the Answers World Championship title.

Eve: JON KELTON AND ADAM LUCAS START OFF THIS MATCH AS THE LEGAL MEN AND HERE THEY GO AGAIN, EXCHANGING PUNCHES RIGHT OFF THE BAT. IT DOESN’T SEEM LIKE EITHER MAN IS GOING TO STOP ANYTIME SOON! KELTON THROWS A RIGHT HAND, AND ADAM RESPONDS WITH A RIGHT HOOK, AND THEY CONTINUE TO GO AT IT, CREATING A GREAT START TO THE MATCH! BOTH MEN HAVE BEEN WAITING TO BATTLE EACH OTHER FOR A LONG TIME SINCE THE SEMIFINAL ROUND OF KING OF ELITE EARLIER THIS YEAR! ADAM AND KELTON ARE STILL GOING RIGHT AT EACH OTHER UNTIL NOW!
Deadprez: Adam’s right hand is becoming much stronger, and he is now sending Kelton back to the ropes behind him with more and more of the right hook, trying to slow his opponent down. Adam forces Kelton to lean against the ropes with a right hand and quickly grabs him before sending him towards the ropes behind him…. LOOKING FOR A SPINEBUSTER!
Gavin Kirkland: KELTON WITH A ELBOW TO THE TOP OF ADAM’S HEAD! Adam is forced back by Kelton this time, just as he’s about to put Kelton down with a Spinebuster, but Kelton quickly regains his composure, lifting Adam off the ground and executing a Spinebuster of his own but Adam also counters with an elbow to the top of his head…. BOTH MEN’S FEET ARE NOW BACK ON THE GROUND, AND THEY MOVE TOWARDS EACH OTHER, CRASHING INTO EACH OTHER WITH A CLOTHESLINE, CAUSING A STALEMATE BETWEEN THE TWO MEN!
Eve: Both men aren’t done yet. Adam recovers quickly from the clothesline and grabs Kelton, throwing him across the ropes and down to the outside. Kelton lands on both feet before tripping and crashing down to the ground, but he quickly returns to his feet as soon as possible. Adam Lucas then meets him with A BASEMENT DROPKICK underneath the bottom rope right into his face! Adam follows Kelton down to the outside, grabs him again, and throws the confused Kelton back inside the ring.
Deadprez: Kelton tries to get back to his feet as soon as possible, holding himself down and stumbling into the corner with Donovan standing next to him behind the ropes. Adam drags Kelton out of the corner and drops him in the middle of the ring with a snapmare. Adam steps in and seizes Kelton with a side headlock while Kelton is on both knees.
Gavin Kirkland: Adam decides to slow down the match a bit after the short chaos he just experienced with Kelton. He keeps the headlock tightly locked while Kelton tries to get out of it and stands back up. Kelton drives a back elbow into Adam’s gut to try and break free, but Adam quickly responds with a RIGHT KNEE to Kelton’s gut. Adam then grabs Kelton’s wrist and starts twisting it.
Eve: Kelton fails to escape and his wrist starts to hurt due to Adam’s force. Adam twists it once more, causing even more pain for Kelton but Kelton manages to use his right hand, clenching his fist and connecting with A RIGHT HAND across Adam’s face. Adam lets go of Kelton and falls into the ropes. Kelton shakes his wrist to ease the pain and steps in to grab Adam, pushing him against the ropes and sending him toward the opposite side of the ring….. A RUNNING SINGLE LEG KNEE STRIKE TO ADAM LUCAS!
Deadprez: Adam runs towards Kelton instead and rolls underneath his leg like he knows Kelton is coming for it before pulling Kelton by his left leg, jumping in, and trying to lock him up with A CROSSFACE but Kelton pulls Adam’s head under his shoulder, goes behind him, and tries to drop Adam down to the ground with A GERMAN SUPLEX!
Gavin Kirkland: Adam doesn’t even slow down a bit this time as he lets Kelton lift him for a German Suplex before throwing himself down to the ground and letting Kelton release him and send himself down to the front. Adam sends Kelton down to the front before Kelton rolls back to his feet and quickly charges at his opponent. Adam sidesteps as Kelton runs into the ropes, hits the ropes by the front, and automatically bounces off….
Gavin Kirkland: ADAM IMMEDIATELY PLANTS KELTON WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX OF HIS OWN! THIS MATCH IS GOING TOO FAST AND NOW I AM GETTING CONFUSED RIGHT NOW ABOUT HOW THINGS ARE HAPPENING!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT, IMP????
Impact: If I have to be realistic here, even I don’t like any of them, I can’t disagree that their in-ring celerity is top notch compared to the majority of elitists present on the Showdown roster. I have faced Adam and Kelton several times in the past, but one thing that I can confidently declare is that neither of them surpasses me because I am Karl Impact and my greatness is a universally acknowledged truth. Don’t throw me a barrage of questions today, by the way, I have a laser-like focus on something and you know exactly what that is.
Eve: A German suplex sends Kelton flying across the ring, and down to the ground, showing that Adam has a lot of power to throw Kelton around like a ragdoll. Kelton rolls back to his feet with his back leaning against the ropes in pain while Adam pops back to his feet and starts controlling Kelton like a puppet show.
Eve: Adam steps in with a Knife Edge chop going right across Kelton’s chest and gives him another one on the same spot before grabbing Kelton by his head and slamming it into the top corner. Donovan’s reaction to the impact of the slam that Adam just pulled out is quite surprising before Adam gives Donovan a curious look and signals him in question if he wants to make a tag or not….

Deadprez: Donovan has made a decision and becomes the legal man of this match. He goes into the ring and pulls Kelton off the corner. He instantly puts Kelton on his shoulder, running forward and dropping Kelton down to the ground with a Running Powerslam!
Gavin Kirkland: The former National Elite champion and his former challenger that he faced at Dead Man Tells No Tales last year are going at each other right now, but Kelton is the one being dominated by the opposite right now while Amir keeps trying to get Kelton into his corner and make a tag with him. Donovan doesn’t go for a pin right there; he picks Kelton off the ground and sends him down to the ropes, looking to jump and connect Kelton with a Dropkick!
Eve: KELTON RUNS IN AND DASHES TO THE SIDE BEFORE EXPERTLY CATCHING DONOVAN WHILE STANDING BESIDE HIM AT THE MOMENT HE JUMPS UP INTO THE AIR INTO AN INVERTED DDT POSITION!… A ROLLING CUTTER SPIKES DONOVAN TO THE CANVAS!
Deadprez: Kelton barely gets back to his feet because of what he has just been through, but he uses the moment to crawl down to Amir and make a tag with him. Amir reaches his hand out, trying to get Kelton down to his corner to make a tag!
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton is in a terrible state there, and this makes it hard for him to make a tag with Amir and takes him a lot of time to crawl down over to his corner. Kelton is just about to jump in, BUT HERE COMES ADAM LUCAS RUNNING ACROSS THE RING AND TAKING AMIR DOWN OFF THE APRON TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE RING!
Impact: Not too soon, you moron.
Eve: WHOA! WHAT IS THAT??? AMIR BACKFLIPS OFF THE APRON AND LANDS ON THE OUTSIDE TO AVOID A PUNCH FROM ADAM!
Amir Yusuf: (Off-Mic) :mjlol2: not happening allat.
Deadprez: Wise words from the wise man himself, but Adam doesn’t seem to care about any of that. He charges towards Amir to punch him for real this time, but Amir ducks under and superkicks Adam by his leg! Adam goes down to one knee before Amir drops the 2023 King of Elite winner to the ground with a Superkick to his jaw!
Gavin Kirkland: Amir has taken out Adam and now he is heading up to the apron. Kelton is already positioned in the corner, searching for Amir, and without wasting any time, Amir taps on Kelton’s chest to make a tag with him!
( TAG! )
Eve: Amir enters the ring as the legal member of his team, and Donovan gets back on his feet, attempting to take him down with a massive lariat but Amir rolls underneath and swiftly gets back up with a kip up. He redirects his focus to Donovan, delivering a gut-wrenching kick, seizing his head, AND BRINGING HIM DOWN WITH A NECKBREAKER! Adam is recovering from the two superkicks he received from Amir, BUT AMIR DOESN’T WASTE ANY TIME AND KEEPS HIM DOWN WITH A SPRINGBOARD 450 SPLASH TO THE OUTSIDE, LANDING DIRECTLY ON ADAM LUCAS!
Deadprez: Amir pushes himself off the concrete floor and now goes back into the ring. Donovan is still lying down on the ground, but Amir wastes no time snatching him back to his feet, putting him under his shoulder, and RUNNING TOWARDS THE MIDDLE ROPE BEFORE BOUNCING OFF AND SPIKING DONOVAN WITH A TORNADO DDT!
Gavin Kirkland: Donovan is still down as Amir rolls over to his corner, where Kelton is already standing by for a tag….

Gavin Kirkland: Kelton makes the tag and heads up to the top, with Amir clearing the path for him….. KELTON FLIES OFF THE TOP WITH A FROG SPLASH, PERFECTLY LANDING ON DONOVAN! Kelton rolls out of his way… AND AMIR CONNECTS WITH A SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT ON DONOVAN THIS TIME!

Deadprez: Kelton is just about to go for a cover, but Adam gets back inside the ring and knocks him away from his tag partner with a Discus Punch! Kelton falls right back away from Donovan, and Amir tries to attack his friend, but Adam doesn’t let that slide easily as HE CATCHES RUNNING AMIR, LIFTS HIM UP HIGH, AND DRIVES AMIR’S BACK TO THE GROUND WITH A SPINEBUSTER!
Gavin Kirkland: LET’S GO, ADAM!
Impact: What is she doing there?
Eve: Londyn creates a distraction to get Adam’s attention! Adam is just about to walk down to Kelton and take him down, but Londyn tries to get back into the ring to prevent Adam from attacking him. She is trying to get into the ring!
( Adam stands there and gives her a confused look before shrugging and then putting his focus back into the match…. )
Gavin Kirkland: KELTON RETURNS TO HIS FEET AND DELIVERS A LOW BLOW KICK TO ADAM, CAUSING HIM TO FALL IMMEDIATELY, WHILE THE REFEREE IS BUSY DEALING WITH LONDYN! KELTON USES THIS MOMENT TO GAIN A BIG ADVANTAGE IN THE MATCH AND QUICKLY PICKS ADAM OFF THE GROUND, AND BACK TO HIS FEET!…. ‘END OF STORY’ HEADLOCK DRIVER PLANTS!!!!!!!!!!
Deadprez: Kelton pushes Adam away, sending him rolling underneath the bottom rope and down to the outside while Donovan starts coming back to his feet and waits right behind Kelton, who is busy dealing with Adam. Kelton slowly turns back around to face Donovan…. AND HE DROPS KELTON TO THE GROUND WITH A RUNNING KNEE LIFT!
Eve: Amir heads back into the ring and tries to turn Donovan inside out with a running clothesline, but Donovan ducks under and goes for a clothesline of his own, sending Amir down to the ground! Amir immediately gets back to his feet, but Donovan takes him down again with another clothesline! Amir pops back up again, but this time… DONOVAN CAPTURES HIM AND TURNS HIM INTO A TIGER SUPLEX, TAKING DOWN A FORMER INTERWIRE CHAMPION!
Gavin Kirkland: Kelton takes his time to slowly recover from behind while Donovan is excited for the battle. Kelton sneaks in and jumps Donovan from behind, getting him into a headlock position and LOOKING TO GO FOR ‘END OF STORY’ ON DONOVAN TOO! Donovan notices it just in time before pulling his head from under Kelton’s arm, seizing him from behind, and rolling backward down to the ground… EXECUTING A HIGH-ANGLE GERMAN SUPLEX ON KELTON! DONOVAN JUST TOOK OUT HIS OPPONENT WITH A ROLLING CHAOS THEORY! DONOVAN HANGS IT ON AND NOW HE GOES FOR A COVER ON KELTON!

Deadprez: AMIR BARELY JUMPS IN TO BREAK A PIN! WHAT A SAVE BY AMIR!
Gavin Kirkland: Amir manages to save his partner just in time, with both Kelton and Donovan now lying on the ground and looking absolutely exhausted from what they’ve been through so far in the match. Meanwhile, Adam is still hurt but is trying to reach the apron to get back to his feet. Amir kicks Donovan away and then drags Kelton down to his corner before quickly jumping over the ropes and landing both feet on the apron…..
( TAG! )
Eve: Amir is now the legal man this time and he wastes no time picking Donovan up off the ground and putting him in a suplex position. Amir lifts him off the ground and drops Donovan back-first onto the canvas with a Brainbuster! Amir isn’t going for a pin yet as he starts using his right hand and goes right after Donovan’s neck, trying to choke him out right there while the referee is trying to stop Amir from making his opponent breathless or being disqualified in this match!
Gavin Kirkland: AND HEY LOOK! PANDORA STEPS IN FROM BEHIND ADAM, WHILE THE REFEREE TRIES TO STOP AMIR, AND DRIVES HIS FACE CRASHING INTO THE RING POST IMMEDIATELY, DRAWING A HUGE BOO FROM THE CROWD RIGHT AWAY!
Eve: Amir frees Donovan and quickly runs to the corner, then swiftly climbs up to the top while Donovan coughs and lays down in pain after escaping Amir’s chokehold. Amir gains his balance on the top and looks down at Donovan once more…. AMIR FLIES OFF THE TOP AND LANDS ON DONOVAN WITH A FROG SPLASH!
Deadprez: Donovan moves out of the way just in time, causing Amir to roll back to his feet just in time and ADAM ENTERS THE RING AND DELIVERS A STANDING DROPKICK, TAKING DOWN AMIR RIGHT THERE! KELTON FINALLY FULLY RECOVERS AND COMES BACK TO HIS FEET. HE RUNS STRAIGHT AT ADAM AND CHARGES AT HIM, BUT ADAM QUICKLY TURNS HIS BACK, SEIZES KELTON, AND PAYS HIM BACK FOR THE DIRTY TRICK HE PULLED EARLIER WITH THE ‘HONOR BOMB’! ADAM EXECUTES A HIP TOSS INTO A CRADLE PILEDRIVER, TAKING OUT KELTON!
Gavin Kirkland: Down goes Kelton for good this time, but Amir is still up after coming back from the dropkick he took earlier! Adam uses the moment to get Donovan off the ground and leans him against the corner. Adam then goes through the ropes and down to the apron….
( TAG! )
Eve: A tag is made, and Adam quickly enters the ring by going through the ropes. Amir tries to charge at him, but Adam ducks under and goes for a Discus punch. Amir also manages to duck, jumping up from behind and QUICKLY DRIVING ADAM’S HEAD TO THE GROUND WITH A REVERSE HURRICANRANA! That’s not looking good for the 2023 King of Elite winner at all. Now Amir is heading towards Adam, who is holding his head and getting back to his feet, although he’s not in a right state. Amir picks up Adam for a Brainbuster once again, but he doesn’t go for a Brainbuster this time…. he looks for the kneecap variation of it!…. AND AMIR LANDS IT! KNEECAP BRAINBUSTER PUTTING ADAM TO SLEEP RIGHT THERE!

Gavin Kirkland: What an ending to the match, folks! Dominion and Ms. Extreme retreat from the ring, leaving Kelton standing alone and getting mad about what happened to Londyn and the rest of Devolution! This sets up an interesting matchup between these two teams at Grand Rampage! Now back in the ring, Adam celebrates his victory with Donovan while glancing over at Impact…. oh Imp.
( ‘You Know My Name’ by Chris Cornell starts playing as Adam and Impact have a staredown in the ring. Impact doesn’t seem to have any intention of entering the ring and instead smiles at Adam before jumping over the crowd barricade and leaving through the crowd area. Adam scowls at him as he leaves. On the outside, Kelton kicks the barricade and throws a tantrum while Ms. Extreme and Dominion look at him and laugh at Devolution before heading to the back together. The final shot shows Adam looking determinedly at Impact as he leaves, with the intention of defeating him at Grand Rampage. The scene fades backstage.)
(The camera transitions backstage to Kyra Phillips as she stands there with a smile on her face holding a microphone.)
Kyra Phillips: EAW Universe. May I introduce at this time, the former Answers World Champion and King of Elite, Kassidy Heart.
(Kassidy slowly walks into the view in her street attire. She brushes her long brunette hair back, glaring at Kyra Phillips.)
Kyra Phillips: It is a pleasure having you here tonight, Kassidy. With everything that is going on over on Dynasty with Sienna Jade and the reformation of The Jaded Hearts and your issues with The Queen Bees, here on Showdown…..
(Kassidy quickly cuts her off.)
Kassidy Heart: Kyra, yes the Jaded Hearts have come together and the Queen Bees will be put in their places, but first we need to talk about a few things. First and foremost, lets address Reasonable Doubt. Everyone saw me get attacked and laid out unconscious while I was putting my gear on in the locker room from behind. I had multiple injuries and couldn’t finish my match, lost because the referee chose to stop the fight. I think about that night every single waking moment of my life and still I continue to try and figure out who had the balls to do this to me. They are either very smart or very stupid, but I will go with the latter since I’m not dead.
Kyra Phillips: Any update on your prognosis and when can we expect you back?
(Kassidy chuckles a little at the question.)
Kassidy Heart: Bless your heart…. The Grand Rampage, when else, so go ahead and ask me how I shocked the entire EAW by placing myself in the actual Grand Rampage match.
Kyra Phillips: Okay…. Kassidy, you did shock the EAW when claiming your spot in the Grand Rampage. You have never wrestled in this match before, why this year?
Kassidy Heart: Why not? Do you know what happens when I win it, Kyra? I will get a match at Pain for Pride for the World Championship and what does that say? That I can go into a match with 29 other Elitists and not only survive but outlast them all and prove time and time again that I am truly the best in the EAW, not just Showdown. I know what is ahead of me and there are doubts, that the injuries I suffered a month ago are still lingering and don’t know if I will be able to compete or even last long enough to do anything in the Grand Rampage, as head injuries are always unpredictable, they always find a way to prop up and could be a detriment, but have I ever allowed injuries to get in my way?
Kyra Phillips: No, of course not, but that doesn’t mean you will allow that to stop you like we saw against Adam Lucas, which brings me to my next question, Adam Lucas tried to apologize, Impact decided to intervene, do you think that any of this will lead to who did this? I mean anyone could have, right? Even Impact?
(Kassidy’s facial emotions change, tilting her head.)
Kassidy Heart: Are you serious? Impact would never do that, I’m the tag team partner of his woman for crying out loud. Look, I know some Private Dick is investigating who did this to me, sure whatever. I cannot stand idly by while he interrogates the entire roster and then some to see who did this. I need to concentrate at the Grand Rampage, but I know that there is a big possibility who did this is in that match, so I need to be careful, but at the same time, I know that NO ONE in this match will be able to match up with me. There is only one road for me to get at Pain for Pride, by winning the whole thing.
(Kyra Phillips nods.)
Kyra Phillips: So then the last question is, what do you have to say to the other participants in the Grand Rampage?
Kassidy Heart: My message is not really a very hard one to comprehend, Kyra. I look at the other 29,, Elitists like Chris Elite, Donovan Duke, Jack Ripley, TLA, Joso, Ruler, Madison Kaline and the list goes on and on doesn’t matter, I plan to enter that match whether early or late and win the one match that on my first try I will walk away the winner and then what? I will be undeniable and there isn’t a single person that can stand and walk in my shoes. I don’t care who it is, what number they are, when I enter, for I will leave the winner and Main Event Pain for Pride. That is a promise.
(Kassidy says nothing more and walks off. Kyra looks on and nods.)
Kyra Phillips: You heard it from Kassidy Heart, she is determined to win Grand Rampage. Back to Gina Romano and the introductions to the next match.
(The camera fades to ringside and Gina Romano.)
(‘Ready to Die’ by the Notorious B.I.G. plays as Lucas Johnson comes out to mixed reactions. He has quite a serious look on his face, remaining stoic as he enters the ring. Lucas doesn’t bother to pose, but gets warmed up.)
Gina Romano: THIS MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL WITH A TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT! INTRODUCING FIRST, FROM LONG ISLAND NEW YORK— THE WRESTLING MACHINE, LUCAS JOHNSON!
(‘Ready to Die’ fades as ‘Mount Sinai’ by the $uicideboy$ plays through the arena. The crowd is slightly confused as to who she is, considering she’s fairly new to the crowd. However, those that do know her left out some boos, as she has a smirk on her face as she walks down the ring.)
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT, FROM FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA— THE HONOURABLE ONE, NYX!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Gavin Kirkland: And we are off! Nyx making her wrestling debut here, and after talking quite a big game last week, we finally get to see her in action against one of Showdown’s finest in Lucas Johnson! This will be a match that will test her technical ability and her talent overall! Nyx and Lucas are very different in styles, but we will see which one of them will come out superior here! Nyx and Lucas decide to lock up, but Nyx is crafty, slips and manages to throw Lucas and flip him! Lucas is shocked, and Nyx is posing!
Eve: Did he not expect that? I mean, we didn’t either. Lucas stands up, but Nyx is once again extremely crafty and throws him overhead for a Hip Toss! So far, Nyx is taking control of this match and it doesn’t seem to be something that Lucas legitimately wants! Lucas’ arm is getting wrenched back hard, and it does seem like Nyx is out wrestling him tonight! But, Lucas is more than just a technical talent. He can strike, but the question is— will Nyx let him?
Deadprez: And Nyx is pushing in, hard. Doesn’t seem like she intends to let Lucas go, and he sees that! His only option right now is to free himself, no matter how hard it looks right now! He’s still fresh in this match, so we could see something change here. Lucas stands up, and he turns himself around as he switches the hold and applies it on Nyx this time around! Nyx rolls forward, backward and she’s causing Lucas to move a lot! She then turns as she sweeps him off his feet!
Gavin Kirkland: This girl is absolutely talented. It’s showing that she doesn’t just talk a big game, she also backs it up and this is prevalent in her showing right now. She picks Lucas up, and she reels back a devastating uppercut as she sends it into his jaw, literally causing him to stagger backwards! Lucas is at a loss for words and moves here, and Nyx uses this opportunity to send him to the outside with a devastating clothesline! Lucas got sent flying, but he landed fairly handily! Nyx walks around the ring, and she’s taunting Lucas right now! Oh man, Lucas is getting humiliated this early on. Not looking good for the Wrestling Machine in the least bit.
Eve: Lucas heads back inside the ring, and he cracks his neck! Nyx is egging him on to try something, and all I’m saying, Nyx– he just might try something different. Lucas is coming with effortless kickboxing combos, sending a right hook followed with a side kick to her face! She’s not used to the range and she’s getting caught off guard as he comes with a feint kick to the head followed by a shot to the body! Gosh golly, he’s entering his Leon Edwards mode right now, and it’s not looking good for Nyx! Now Lucas is unloading kickboxing shots, sending straight shots against her high guard!
Deadprez: And Nyx has no answer for this! She decides to roll out of the ring and regroup, but now it’s Lucas egging her on! She got a taste of her own medicine so far, and Lucas is just pouncing around! He’s waiting to get another shot in, and Nyx comes back inside! No! Lucas comes at the ropes but Nyx hits him with an elbow strike! She tries to go for a springboard dropkick, but Lucas manages to hit her with a jumping side kick as she flies in the air!
Gavin Kirkland: Nyx goes down! Lucas was a bit shaken early on, but it seems like he’s found his rhythm and if he wants to keep this, he has to stick to what he is good at, which is outstriking and outboxing his opponents with ease! Both Nyx and Lucas are pretty good at grappling, and it seems like Lucas did not have too much material to study off of, as shown here! Nyx uses the ropes to pull herself up, but Lucas is too quick! He immediately shoves his boot in her face and proceeds to try his next plan, which is to knock her out!
Eve: To be fair to Lucas, that can be done in order to win matches. We have rarely, if not have not seen that in EAW so far, so it’ll be interesting to see if Lucas can pull that off! Nyx tries to use the turnbuckle, but Lucas is kicking her core! Nyx manages to sidestep a kick and forces Lucas to kick turnbuckle, but he doesn’t bother! He comes again with the right hook but she picks him up and throws him down for a Spinebuster! Lucas rolls around, and he ducks a clothesline from Nyx as he sends a back elbow into her nose!
Deadprez: He’s going for those devastating leg kicks, UFC style! Clearly, Nyx is fast, and his best bet is to neutralize that with ease here! He wants to keep this a striking match and avoid grappling her, but I don’t know if he can ever stop that! Nyx comes closer and she’s trying to grapple with him, but Lucas clinches her and proceeds to throw her against the ropes! She rebounds off and she’s met with a right hook which causes her to stumble against the adjacent rope! Lucas then lifts her up and throws her overhead for a Belly to Back Suplex!
Gavin Kirkland: So far, Lucas has had the advantage! She did some damage early on, but that was not enough to take Lucas out of the fight! He’s looking to finish it right here, and he might just do so if he sends another one of those closed fist punches! Lucas goes for a left hook, but Nyx ducks it and trips him! She turns him around and lifts him up for a Deadlift German Suplex! Nyx manages to hit the move, and it takes Lucas out and makes him dizzy! This was not something he expected, especially from someone her size! Lucas shakes his head, but Nyx comes in with a Lou Thesz Press!
Eve: All I’m saying is, if I’m Lucas Johnson, I’d try to keep my distance ASAP. It seems like if it’s an infight, it’s not exactly in his favor! So far, he’s trying to do so, but Nyx is relentless and comes in with several body shots until Lucas has enough and goes down to a knee! He’s gasping for air, but Nyx hits him in the ear with another boot! Now she’s mouthing off to him! Clearly, she did not appreciate what Lucas tried earlier in this match, and I don’t blame her! I’d be pissed if it was me too!
Deadprez: And he picks him up! She grabs ahold of his wrist as she pulls him in for a devastating Ripcord Knee! The Ripcord Knee takes him out and Nyx goes for the first cover of this match! Is this going to be it? Can she put Lucas Johnson out of this match and secure her first victory in EAW?

Gavin Kirkland: NO! Lucas kicks out and Nyx is baffled! She knows she has to do more, but Lucas is clearly durable and he’s not backing down that easy! She stands up and she’s trying to put him in a Sharpshooter, but Lucas is not having it as he rolls himself forward and proceeds to go for a Double Leg Takedown! Nyx couldn’t stuff it at all, and Lucas has mount control so far! Nyx is getting absolutely destroyed in the battle of submissions, and he applies an armbar! She’s trying to create space, but it does not seem to be working!
Eve: Whatever leverage Lucas is putting, it’s causing her difficulty and that’s what he MUST be going for. If he wants to win this, he must stick to his guns rather than try to play into her game, but Nyx grabs hold! She turns over, but Lucas transitions into a Triangle Hold! She slips through with her smaller frame and sends an elbow into Lucas’ eye! It’s clear that she isn’t going to be a slouch in that department either, and at this point, she wants to send a message to the locker room that she has zero weakness. Zero weak points at all. Nyx lifts him up as she sends him into the ground with a Brainbuster!
Deadprez: How the hell did she do that? She really is playing zero games here, despite her size! Lucas is stunned and she wants to make him tap out, but he rolls out and he rolls again dodging her attacks! She rushes in and he catches off guard with THE BLUEPRINT! Diamond Cutter connects as she’s stunned by it and absolutely caught off guard! Now it’s Lucas going for the pin! He has the cover, and can he put her away for good?

Gavin Kirkland: NO! Nyx kicks out! Looking at Lucas’ expression it doesn’t seem like he’s all that surprised! He knows how tough Nyx is and he’s getting a visual representation of that right here! Now he rolls her over and he applies a rear naked choke! He wants to block her only airway, and whether this strategy will work or not remains to be seen! Nyx turns around and she’s running backwards at full force as Lucas is sent into the turnbuckle! She turns around and socks him with a right hook! Clearly, she doesn’t want to get into that mix either!
Eve: And Nyx decides to keep bringing the fight to him! She’s going blow for blow and trying to take him out in his own game! At this point, it may be possible that it’s her who could get a knockout victory here! Nyx kicks him in the gut, and she runs and sends another European Uppercut into his face! Dude, she is crazy fast and strong, and this is something that could put the rest of the women’s division on notice here! Lucas is off balance and Nyx decides that it might be time to end the match and put this damn thing to rest here! She’s done playing with this man and she wants to continue Lucas’ rather unlucky streak in this brand so far!
Deadprez: And she tries to go for a Spear, but Lucas is able to roll out of the ring! Lucas rolls back in and he goes for a rollup, but it isn’t counted! Nyx kicked out before he could do so, and now it’s her going for the rollup, Lucas kicks out as well and they’re at a standstill! He’s somewhat taken the momentum away from her, and it seems like he’s having some fun! Now it’s his turn to try to put her lights out, as he rests on the turnbuckle waiting for the perfect moment to pounce! Maybe this could be it! Could he put her out right here with the Claymore Kick? Lucas rushes into her, but Nyx dodges it and Lucas is sent rolling! He turns around but waits, NIRVANA! THE SPEAR CONNECTS AND LUCAS COULD BE VERY WELL OUT OF IT! NIGHT NIGHT, LUCAS JOHNSON!

(As Showdown comes back from commercial break, there is some ruckus in the back, a camera person runs to the backstage area as we see Jack Ripley attacking Donovan Duke.)
Deadprez: WE WERE CAUGHT OFF GUARD! JACK RIPLEY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND ATTACKED DONOVAN DUKE AFTE RTHE OPENING MATCH TONIGHT ON SHOWDOWN AS HE WAS HEADING INTO THE LOCKER ROOM! JACK IS KICKING DUKE WHILE HE IS DOWN! JACK RIPLEY CAME OUT OF NOWHERE DURING THE COMMERCIAL BREAK AND ATTACKED DUKE FROM BEHIND! HE PICKS UP DUKE… THROWING HIM OVER ALL THOSE CRATES!
(Donovan Duke tumbles on the floor, he looks really hurt as Donovan tries to cover up but Jack continues the assault and picks up Duke again only to throw him against a bunch of PVC pipes that fall to the floor along with Duke.)
Eve: DONOVAN DUKE IS BEING ASSAULTED RIGHT NOW! MAULED EVEN AND LOOK AT JACK! HE HAS COMPLETELY LOST IT! PICKING UP SOME OF THOSE PVC PIPES AND THROWING THEM RIGHT AT THE FALLEN DONOVAN DUKE BUT HE IS NOT DONE! HOISTING UP DONOVAN AGAIN AND ….. WAIT….
Gavin Kirkland: YOU’LL FLOAT TOO! HE KICKED DONOVAN’S HEAD OFF AND HE COLLAPSES TO THE GROUND! WAIT…. HERE COMES HELP!
(Officials quickly run in, they try to separate Jack who quickly turns around and hits one of them, they fall, and others come in, they finally are able to separate Jack Ripley from the fallen Donovan Duke. Suddenly Adam Lucas comes out from the dressing room and tends to Donovan Duke.)
Adam Lucas: GET HIM OUT OF HERE!
(Security and officials are able to pull Jack Ripley down the hall as medical staff rushes in to check on Donovan Duke. The scene is chaotic, everyone is scrambling but Jack is beside himself. He is escorted away.)
Deadprez: ADAM LUCAS AND SECURITY JUST ARRIVED ON TIME TO HELP DONOVAN DUKE! THE MEDICAL STAFF IS THERE AND JACK RIPLEY IS SHOWING ABSOLUTELY NO REMORSE! THEY ARE TRYING TO GET HIM AWAY FROM EVERYTHING AND LOOK….
(Jack gets away from the officials and he walks right to the General Manager’s office, pushing the door open. Kennedy turns and Drake Armstrong quickly gets in the way, but he pushes Drake to the side, getting right in Kennedy’s face…)
Jack Ripley: WAS THAT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU, KENNEDY!?!?! I HAVE BEEN GETTING DISRESPECTED BY YOU AND EVERYONE WHEN I’M A FORMER ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION! I AM SOMEONE THAT SHOULD BE THE FACE OF THIS COMPANY BUT TIME AND TIMA AGAIN ALL I HAVE DONE IS TAKE YOUR SNIDE REMARKS! I AM THE REASON HURRICANE HAWK IS GONE! I HELPED PUT YOU IN THAT POSITION TO BEGIN WITH!
(Drake tries to get in front of him to create distance between the two but Kennedy gestures to him not too, shaking her head.)
Jack Ripley: THAT’S RIGHT, KEEP YOUR LAP DOG AT BAY! I AM NOT GOING TO PLAY THESE GAMES ANYMORE! I AM THE BEST DAMN WRESTLER ON THIS BRAND AND THERE ISN’T A PERSON HERE THAT CAN TELL ME DIFFERENT! I WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT THIS DISRESPECT, KENNEDY! I DON’T CARE WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE! I’M GOING TO WIN THAT GRAND RAMPAGE AND TO HELL WHO GETS IN MY WAY AND THEN, I WILL BE IN THE MAIN EVENT AT PAIN FOR PRIDE FOR THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP! TELL ME I’M WRONG!

Kennedy Street: You’re not wrong. Now, where was this fire before, Jack because Kennie always knew that you were one of the best in the ring, but all of this pandering was beneath you. I am glad that you feel this way, but could you please stop yelling at me, honey? I have a headache.
(Jack pauses for a second, before he then calms down a little….)
Kennedy Street: Now, you hit an official and that is a fine….
Jack Ripley: WHAT!?!
(He hulks up.)
Kennedy Street: …. Uh… April Fools?
Jack Ripley: You just remember what was promised!
Kennedy Street: Oh… I remember.
(He doesn’t say another word and walks out, but stops at the doorway, turning back to Kennedy when he hears her calling for him.)
Kennedy Street: Jack?
(He looks over at her.)
Jack Ripley: What?
Kennedy Street: Nice job out there honey.
(He turns and walks out, Kennedy takes a deep breath and turns to Drake Armstrong.)
Kennedy Street: Don’t you have a match next?
Drake Armstrong: Yes, I do.
Kennedy Street: Then what are you waiting for? Go and Drake, win this please. Show them all that you are as talented and unforgiving as I know you can be, honey.
(Drake nods, he walks out of Kennedy’s office who this time sits back and slowly cracks a smile as the camera pans to a quick ad before heading back to ringside with Gina Romano.)

(Drake gets in the ring and poses arrogantly for the fans. The crowd boos and once his music fades out, Drake takes his corner. Seconds later, “Superhero (Heroes and Villains)” by Metro Boomin, Future and Chris Brown begins to play.)
Gina Romano: AND THEIR OPPONENT… FROM MANCHESTER, ENGLAND… WEIGHING IN AT 196 POUNDS… HE IS ‘THE CROWN PRINCE OF CRIME’ HARLEY LEWIS!!!!
(The crowd boos as Harley steps out and begins to make his way down to the ring.)
Gavin Kirkland: The only crime Harley’s committed as of late is stealing our time and wasting it. BAM!
Eve: Well damn. That’s kind of rude. Anyways, to say Harley hasn’t had the season he thought would be an understatement. After making it to the finals of the New Era Classic back at last year’s Pain for Pride, many people thought Harley would be able to carry that momentum into this season.
Deadprez: A win tonight could give him a much needed confidence boost as he heads into the most important part of the season. Grand Rampage could turn his career around real quick!
(Once Harley is in the ring and settled, his theme music fades out. “The Leaving Song Pt. II” by AFI begins to play and the crowd lets out a barrage of cheers.)
Gina Romano: AND THEIR OPPONENT… FROM VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA… WEIGHING IN AT 216 POUNDS… HE IS ‘FIREHEART’ HANS GRAYSON!!!
Deadprez: Now this is an Elitist who has been making waves since his debut. Hans Grayson has the ‘it’ factor, and no one can deny that.
Gavin Kirkland: A lot of people are expecting big things from him come Grand Rampage, and I’m curious to see if he can live up to the hype.
Eve: He can, and he will. Hans has been impressive since day one and he continues to improve. I can’t wait to see what he brings to a match as big as Grand Rampage!
(With all the competitors in the ring, the referee calls for the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Deadprez: Here we go- AND RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE ALL FOUR ELITISTS GO AT EACH OTHER! DRAKE TRYING FOR AN EARLY ELIMINATION ON SCOTTY, WHILE HARLEY AND HANS ARE TRADING FISTS WITH ONE ANOTHER! Drake goes under and tries to lift Scotty over the top rope while he approaches him, but Scotty isn’t having it, instantly connecting with a downward elbow to his head to force him to release and send him backward! Drake tries to approach him again, BUT SCOTTY SPINS AROUND AND TAKES HIS HEAD OFF WITH A LARIAT BEFORE MOUNTING ON TOP OF HIM AND BEGINNING TO DELIVER PUNCHES!
Eve: On the other hand, Harley has Hans in one of the corners and begins to unload with body shots toward his gut to soften him up! Hans knows that being backed up against the edge of the ring is not going to do him any favors in a match like this, and manages to break free from Harley by shoving him away and creating some distance. Harley stumbles backward, but tries to rush forward again, only for Hans to side step and throw him into the corner, BEFORE STEPPING UP AND CONNECTING WITH A KNEE STRIKE TO THE JAW! Hans then grabs him by the head and throws him down toward the center of the ring, beginning to scale up the top turnbuckle… BEFORE LEAPING OFF AND TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A TOP ROPE BLOCKBUSTER!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley is taken down while Hans gets back up to his feet, immediately being met with some shots to the head by Major Michael who directs his attention away from a recovering Drake Armstrong and begins to focus on the rest of the opposition in this match! He pushes Hans against the ropes before sending him toward the opposite side of the ring with an Irish whip… GRABBING HIM AND LIFTING HIM INTO AN ATOMIC DROP WHICH DIPS HIM DOWN TO A KNEE! Scotty then takes a step back, BEFORE LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE- BUT DRAKE ENTERS THE EQUATION AND CLOCKS HIM WITH A STIFF FOREARM! Scotty is sent crumbling down to the mat while ‘The Future’ turns himself around and grabs a hold of the head of a kneeling Hans, LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH A SNAP DDT!
Deadprez: But that doesn’t happen, with Hans beginning to connect with shots to the abdomen to force him to release the hold that he has on him! Drake is taken aback while this gives Hans the opportunity to get back up to his feet and make his way over, only for Drake to connect with an uppercut to the jaw to leave him stunned! From there he lifts him up into a Fireman’s Carry position, heaving him onto his shoulders and beginning to make his way over to the center of the ring…
Eve: BUT HARLEY ON THE TOP ROPE LAUNCHES OFF AND TAKES DRAKE DOWN WITH HANS ON HIS SHOULDERS WITH A HUGE CROSSBODY!
Gavin Kirkland: Some good offense being shown in the high rent district, but if I were them I wouldn’t be so comfortable up there considering there’s more of a chance than on the ground to be eliminated from this match!
Deadprez: Harley gets back up to his feet, looking awfully proud of his work seeing that he’s taken out two birds with one stone, BUT HE DOESN’T NOTICE SCOTTY GRAB HIM AROUND THE WAIST AND LAUNCH HIM INTO A BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX- NO! Harley manages to get his bearings back and connect with shots to the face of the Major! He forces him to release the hold before attempting to slip out, ONLY FOR SCOTTY TO GRAB HIM THIS TIME FROM BEHIND AROUND THE WAIST AND SEND HIM FLYING WITH A RELEASE GERMAN!
Eve: Hard tumble down to the canvas by Harley and he immediately rolls himself away from the trouble in order to catch a breather. Right now though Hans and Drake have one another by the hair, beginning to trade blows with one another. Hans connects with a gut kick to the abdomen before then proceeding to turn around and run to the ropes, ONLY FOR DRAKE TO GRAB HIM AROUND THE WAIST AND LIFT HIM INTO A SPINEBUSTER- BUT HANS GRABS HIM BY THE HEAD AND ATTEMPTS TO TURN IT INTO A TORNADO DDT- BUT DRAKE KEEPS HIM UP AND SENDS HIM FLYING ACROSS THE RING AND CRASHING DOWN TO THE FLOOR! Drake then sets him up… BEFORE CONNECTING WITH ‘NATURAL TALENT’! HALF NELSON HALF CHICKEN WING SUPLEX DROPS HANS DOWN TO THE FLOOR!
Gavin Kirkland: Drake grabs Hans by the head and begins to bring him back up to his feet, BEFORE LOOKING TO SEND HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE AND OUT OF THE RING TO ELIMINATE HIM FROM THIS MATCH- BUT HANS MANAGES TO GO OVER THE TOP ROPE AND LAND ON THE APRON! Hans manages to hold on just in the nick of time, BUT DRAKE ATTEMPTS TO RUN FORWARD AND SEND HIM OFF OF THE APRON- BUT HANS GOES UNDER AND MANAGES TO CONNECT WITH A SHOULDER THRUST! He then proceeds to set Drake up, BEFORE LEAPING OVER THE TOP ROPE AND CONNECTING WITH A SUNSET FLIP BOMB TO DROP HANS!
Deadprez: Scotty looks to center his attention on him, but before he can it’s Harley from behind who turns him around and clocks him with a hard right to the face! This sends Scotty back but he starts to approach again, ONLY FOR HARLEY TO TAKE HIM DOWN WITH AN ARM DRAG! Meanwhile Drake is down and Hans grabs him by the head, looking to send him over instead and get him out of this match, but Drake simply refuses to do so! He sends punches to the face of Hans before then proceeding to turn around and run to the ropes and back… BEFORE LEAPING OFF OF THE GROUND AND CONNECTING WITH A HIGH KNEE!
Eve: BUT WAIT! HANS JUST WENT UNDER THAT! HE HAS DRAKE ON HIS SHOULDERS IN A POWERBOMB POSITION BEFORE TURNING HIM AROUND AND SENDING HIM FLYING OUT OF THE RING! DRAKE COLLIDES WITH THE BARRICADE AND HE’S OUT OF THIS MATCH!
Gina Romano: DRAKE ARMSTRONG HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!!!
Deadprez: DRAKE ARMSTRONG IS OUT OF THIS ONE, BUT IT ISN’T OVER YET! HARLEY LEWIS RUSHES IN ATTACKING HANS FROM BEHIND, AND NOW HARLEY IS TRYING TO LIFT HANS OVER THE TOP ROPE, BUT HANS IS HANGING ONTO THE ROPES, ALLOWING HIM TO DROP AN ELBOW ON HARLEY’S HEAD! Harley stumbles back before going back after Hans with a forearm, but Hans responds with a forearm of his own! Now it’s Harley connecting with a forearm! Now Hans! Now Harley-
Gavin Kirkland: MICHAEL S. CONNOR RUNS IN WITH A DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE, TAKING OUT BOTH HANS AND HARLEY!!! BOTH HANS AND HARLEY STUMBLE BACK TO THEIR FEET, AND MICHAEL GOES AFTER HARLEY AS HE TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A SECOND CLOTHESLINE, CAUSING HARLEY TO STUMBLE INTO THE CORNER! MICHAEL RUNS IN, BUT HARLEY IS ABLE TO FIND THE COUNTER AS HE GETS THE BOOT UP! Harley grabs Scotty from behind, BUT MICHAEL GETS THE BACK ELBOW BEFORE SLIPPING BEHIND, AND THERE’S A GERMAN SUPLEX TO SEND HARLEY OVER THE TOP ROPE!
Eve: NO! HARLEY MANAGES TO HANG ON! Michael notices this- BUT HE SHOULD’VE KEPT IN MIND THAT HARLEY ISN’T THE ONLY COMPETITOR LEFT, AS HANS JUST RAN IN AND DELIVERED A JUMPING KNEE STRIKE! Michael is down, AND NOW IT’S HANS LOOKING TO ELIMINATE MICHAEL AS HE GRABS HIM AND SENDS HIM INTO THE ROPES! MICHAEL WAS ABLE TO FIND A SMART WAY TO AVOID THIS HOWEVER, GOING THROUGH THE MIDDLE AND TOP ROPE TO LAND ON THE APRON JUST TO MAKE SURE HE CAN’T GET ELIMINATED!

HARLEY LOOKS TO STRIKE FIRST WITH A FLYING KNEE, BUT HANS MOVES OUT OF THE WAY!!! HARLEY NOW RUSHES BACK UP, BUT HE’S RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE ROPES! HARLEY SCOOPS HANS UP INTO A FIREMAN’S CARRY, AND NOW HE QUICKLY DUMPS HANS OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH THE JUKEBOX BREAKER- BUT HANS DOESN’T COMPLETELY FALL!!! HANS IS STILL HOLDING ONTO THE ROPES, BARELY HANGING ON AS IF HIS FEET TOUCH THE GROUND HE WILL LOSE!!! HARLEY LEWIS NOW RUNNING THE ROPES- BUT AS HARLEY GOES FOR THE DROPKICK HANS IS ABLE TO PULL HIMSELF OUT OF THE WAY, CAUSING HARLEY TO SLIDE UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE! WHAT A COUNTER!
Gavin Kirkland: Yeah but this one isn’t over and both men know that! Hans quickly gets back up on the apron, AND HARLEY TRIES TO PULL ON HIS LEG FROM RINGSIDE, BUT HANS IS ABLE TO KICK HARLEY OFF OF HIM! Harley stumbles back as Hans backpedals to the edge of the apron, AND NOW HANS RUNS IN BEFORE DELIVERING A PENALTY KICK!! Hans gets back into the ring from the apron to avoid taking any more risks that could get him eliminated, and now he just waits as Harley slowly grabs onto the apron and rolls himself back into the ring!
Eve: WAIT A MINUTE, LOOK AT HANS! HE PULLED HIMSELF TO THE APRON ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING AS HARLEY WAS ROLLING BACK IN, AND NOW HANS FLIPS OVER THE TOP ROPE FOR THE BURNING LARIAT- WHICH HARLEY IS JUST BARELY ABLE TO AVOID!!!! HARLEY TRAPPED THE ARM AND SPUN HANS AROUND, ALLOWING HARLEY TO CATCH HIM OFF GUARD WITH A SNAP DDT!! The Grand Rampage match may have far more competitors than this battle royale, but this is a great way to prepare the Showdown roster for what’s to come in just a few weeks! So far, these two seem to be evenly matched!
Deadprez: Yeah, but that’s eventually going to have to change! Only one man can win tonight, just like only one person can win the Grand Rampage match! Right now Harley is looking to make sure that’s him, AS HE BEGINS TO VICIOUSLY DROP FOREARMS DOWN ON HANS GRAYSON, NOT GIVING HANS ANY CHANCE TO BREATHE! This isn’t good for Hans, Harley is looking to make sure he can’t fight back once it’s time for him to be thrown over the top rope, and after that DDT I’m not so sure how much Hans will be able to fight back! We could be looking at our winner right now!
Gavin Kirkland: Harley drags Hans Grayson up before sending him into the ropes- BUT HANS STOPS HIMSELF BY GRABBING ONTO THEM! HARLEY CHARGES IN LOOKING TO TURN THINGS AROUND AGAIN BY SENDING HANS OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A CLOTHESLINE- BUT HANS IS ABLE TO FIND THE COUNTER, DUCKING DOWN AND LIFTING HARLEY OVER HIM!!!! Eve: Hans goes to try and knock Harley off the apron- but Harley is able to get Hans away from him by knocking him back with an elbow! Hans now running the ropes- AND IT LOOKS LIKE HANS WAS TRYING A SIMILAR STRATEGY TO WHAT HARLEY USED TO ELIMINATE MICHAEL, BUT HARLEY WASN’T HAVING IT AS HE PUT HIS KNEE THROUGH THE ROPES, HITTING HANS IN THE MIDSECTION WITH IT! This causes Hans to stumble backwards and drop to a knee, and you can tell that this match is starting to take its toll! HARLEY NOW LOOKING TO GO HIGH RISK, AS HE GOES FOR A SPRINGBOARD LARIAT!!!

Deadprez: He did it! Hans Grayson just pulled off the win in this Grand Rampage preview and there’s no doubt that he has some bragging rights heading into the big one! That was a great match, and now Hans just got a taste of what the real deal is like as he’ll have to do this again with twenty-nine opponents!
Gavin Kirkland: It sure won’t be easy, but if he pulled this off that means that the chance does exist! This was an impressive win by Hand Grayson, especially since everyone else put up a fight, especially Harley who made it to the final two and possibly would’ve had it if he didn’t go for the springboard maneuver!
Eve: Well this match served not only as a preview, but as a good chance for everyone involved to work on their gameplan heading into Grand Rampage. There’s no doubt that everyone here will be even better off in a few weeks now that they got to test themselves.
Deadprez: Congratulations Hans Grayson, who just pulled off a big victory!
(‘The Leaving Song Pt. II’ hits, and there’s primarily cheers coming from the crowd as Hans slowly backs away from the ropes, forming a grin on his face after that hard fought match. Harley Lewis is seen at ringside, down and out after the moves he just received, and Hans climbs onto the middle turnbuckle before raising his arms, celebrating his victory as Showdown fades away from ringside to a commercial break.)
( Returning from a commercial break, cameras are situated in Veena Adams’ dressing room. The lights are dimmed low, with bulbs from Veena’s Hollywood-style vanity mirror illuminating what’d otherwise be quite a dark scene. It’s a feminine aesthetic, with shades of purple and pink across the furniture, accessories as well as the walls. Veena has her head bowed, eyes glued to her phone as a nail technician is seen soaking her feet with water. Abruptly, her head shoots up as the door to her dressing room opens. The camera pans over… It’s Ashlynn Quinn! )
Ashlynn Quinn: Hello! Sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt but—
Veena Adams: Shh, shh. Come, come. Come and sit, just please lower your voice.
( Veena Adams motions for Ashlynn to enter the dressing room and to shut the door behind her. Last week, we saw these two beautiful women team up in a winning effort. But their match had hardly finished when Chris Elite, who returned at King of Elite, tried to lay a sneak attack on the reigning National Elite champion! Lots of Elite’s there, very confusing but nevertheless— Ashlynn Quinn in a moment of heroics, leapt in between the two and ended up eating a nasty shot on Veena’s behalf! We can see some bruising on Ashlynn as she enters and sits. Veena picks up a remote, lowering the music and emitting a contented sigh. )
Veena Adams: I suppose I owe you some thanks, Ashlynn. Last week, that weasel Chris Elite tried to put a damper on our excellence. But, straight out of an action-movie (not the stupid Marvel kind, though) you dived in front of me and protected me. It was sweet, albeit dumb. Nevertheless, I’m excited to accompany you to the ring for your match tonight. You’re talented, I saw that last week, and if anybody has an eye for talent? It’s an Adams. So hopefully, you manage to shock the world and beat Chris. I don’t know what his problem is, between the two of us, I think maybe he has a little crush on moi.
( Veena is referring to Ashlynn’s match against Chris Elite, scheduled for tonight’s show. It’s a tough test for Ashlynn— let’s not forget, Chris Elite at one point was an integral piece in the Elite Answers Wrestling puzzle and World champion! However, it seems that he has his eyes on a different championship of late. The one currently situated at Veena’s side. Ashlynn, a little nervous to be in the presence of wrestling royalty, manages to speak up after a couple of seconds pass and Veena converses with the nail technician giving her a pedicure. )
Ashlynn Quinn: It was nothing, Veena. I totally hate bullies, in this sport you’re bound to take a couple of knocks here-and-there. We had a great performance last week, I finally feel like I’m building something here on Showdown… If given the chance? I’d have jumped between the two of you all over again without hesitation! Speaking honestly, I idolize you. The grind you’ve put into professional wrestling. Everybody wrote you off, but you managed to prove them wrong! You have revolutionized what it means to be an Elite Answers Wrestling superstar.
Veena Adams: That’s sweet, Ashlynn. I appreciate it. Yes, people like to joke about me. They assume that because of the blood running in my veins, I’m handed opportunities not based on how good I am, but who I am related to. It’s a lose-lose situation. But I’m beginning to shift that perspective of me and show how valuable I can be. Take a look at Reasonable Doubt as an example of this, my championship defence against two tough competitors in Roberto da la Rosa and Hans Grayson. I have a target on my back, I realize this. But it’s nothing I haven’t gone through a million times by now. That’s the curse of being an Adams, I’m afraid. People are always desperate and stoop to low levels for a little bit of attention.
Ashlynn Quinn: You don’t deserve any of the criticism that you get, Veena. I think the world of you and that’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about— I figured considering that we did so well last week, maybe we could team up more often. There’s a lot I could learn from you, and I think it could be a mutually beneficial partnership.
( Veena brings her finger to her chin, pondering Ashlynn’s proposition. She looks down at the nail technician working over her feet, in the midst of giving her a pedicure. A lightbulb moment flickers in Veena’s mind with a smile forming on her lips. A little enthusiasm hits her response as she looks over to Ashlynn, putting her phone to the side of her for now. )
Veena Adams: That’s not a half bad idea actually, Ashlynn. You /could/ learn a lot from me. I didn’t win this National Elite Championship— defeating an all-time great in Donovan Duke without knowing a thing or two. Yes, yes. We could team up, BUT. I don’t just let any poor thing coming in from the cold team-up with me, you know? I’m an Adams, after all. People have been trying to leech off of my name for eons, now. What you did for me last week? It was a good start. But I am so much more than a wrestler, I’m an icon! So if you’re going to be my sidekick, my partner in crime, then I need to know that you know what’s going on in the world.
Ashlynn Quinn: I understand, Veena. I’d like to think I have a good understanding of the world and its current events— let’s not forget, I have over six million followers on TikTok! If you feel like you need to “quiz” me or whatever, that’s fine. I’ll ace whatever question you have, and we can bring the hottest tag team of all time to Saturday Night Showdown!
Veena Adams: Well, I want to see if our palettes would work well together. I only eat the most exquisite of foods. My personal chef, Lawrence, is paid a pretty penny to ensure that the most delicious and health-conscious of meals enters this temple of a body. If we were to team, he would have to cook for the two of us! So I can’t partner-up with someone say— who eats at places like… McDonald’s. This isn’t no Ronan Malosi business. So rattle off some of the foods you eat, or would like to eat and let’s see if we match, Ashlynn.
( It’s Ashlynn’s turn to put her finger to her chin, deep in thought. She is treating this as life-or-death as she takes the time to contemplate her answer. Veena’s eyes narrow down on her like a hawk. )
Ashlynn Quinn: I usually start off my day with avocado on toast or a bowl of fruit. Then, depending on if I’m working out, I’ll have a protein bar. I’ll probably have a black coffee sometime during the mid-day, to keep me energized. After that, it’d probably be a chicken wrap or chicken with rice or something. I’m not really sure! But I keep up with all the food trends. Did you know butter boards are big this year? Salted butter, chili flake butter—
Veena Adams: I can honestly say, hand-on-heart, I don’t think I’ve ever had butter in my life. So fatty and rancid-tasting. But the rest of it sounds good, Ashlynn. I’m partial to the occasional cheat day. But I mean look at me, this face, these abs… It takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to keep looking like this! I did have a kimchi grilled cheese this morning, but if I were competing? I’d have woken up doing cardio on the treadmill. No rest for the wicked! Let’s talk about fashion. You seem like a fashionable girl, but I can’t ever have your standards dropping. If I wanted to walk around with a dog at my side, I’d bring in my pomeranian! How about… Oh! How often would you be doing something like this?
( Veena gestured towards her feet, which are being tended to by a nail technician. )
Ashlynn Quinn: Uhm… Well once a month, for both a manicure and a pedicure—
Veena Adams: Not awful, not awful Ashlynn. I have my nails done once every other week. It’s important to look the part and look after ourselves, after all. This is the big business, the big leagues! If you and I are going to team up, you have to look ethereal. Make people want to tune in to see you and drive those ratings up. Lastly, but this is the most important… Who are the three wisemen?
Ashlynn Quinn: Wisemen… Like, from the bible?
( Abruptly, the room falls silent. Even the nail technician stops their work. Veena looks incensed! She takes a deep breath, calming herself down, clearly working through some breathing exercises as to not get offended by Ashlynn’s answer— Ashlynn meanwhile looks horrified as if she had just ran over Veena’s pet pomeranian, or something of that nature. )
Veena Adams: Oh my God, baby, no… The three wisemen are Gucci, Louboutin and Prada!
Veena Adams: We have a lot to work on if we’re going to team together. Where you’re at now is fine. But by the time that I’m done with you? They won’t be able to look away. I believe this could be the start of a special, blossoming relationship, Ashlynn! But as I said, there’s many improvements we could make, starting with your knowledge on fashion… But, let’s not worry about that tonight. After all, you have a match against Chris Elite coming up. I wouldn’t want my tag team partner, my protege, worrying about things outside of beating Chris black-and-blue and taking him off the trail of getting a shot at my National Elite Championship!
( Veena signals to the nail technician, who has finished exfoliating and shaping Veena’s toenails, to pause. As the blonde’s feet are dried, she picks up her phone and flickers over the screen momentarily. It’s a good job that the technician didn’t begin applying fresh polish to Veena’s toes! The scene slowly fades as Veena begins to ready herself, with Ashlynn getting to her feet seemingly excited about this potential new partnership! )
( Saturday Night Showdown returns from a commercial break with Gina Romano standing in the middle of the ring and preparing to announce the upcoming match. )

Eve: Chris Elite and Ashlynn Quinn with Veena Adams at ringside are underway. Ashlynn and Chris both step out of their corners. If Ashlynn wins tonight, this is going to be her moment right here. Chris and Ashlynn meet each other in the middle of the ring and both elitists step in and lock each other with a basic collar and elbow tie-up. Chris doesn’t waste any time before scooping Ashlynn down to the ground with a headlock takedown, asserting his control in this match. Ashlynn has lost the upper hand so far and is now attempting to escape the headlock.

Deadprez: Well, Ashlynn tries to avoid Chris, but he doesn’t seem to care and quickly picks her up off the ground, sending her toward the ropes. Ashlynn screams in fear as Chris looks to catch her with a right hand, but she manages to pull the middle rope and get herself down to the outside. This doesn’t make the crowd feel very good about her, and Veena gives a round of applause for Ashlynn’s strategy.
Eve: Chris is starting to get annoyed here, and now he’s going down to the outside of the ring to get Ashlynn back inside but, Ashlynn quickly rolls back inside while Chris is on the floor. Chris looks back and is just about to follow, but Veena comes in and is just about to attack him….
Gavin Kirkland: OH LOOK, ASHLYNN MAKES A DISTRACTION WITH THE REFEREE AND VEENA DELIVERS A HARD RIGHT HOOK TO CHRIS ELITE! Veena quickly throws Chris back into the ring immediately, and the referee doesn’t notice it at all! Veena just punched Chris, opening the way for Ashlynn to make her move. A cheeky smile comes across her face as she picks Chris up off the ground, throws him to the ropes, and lands A RUNNING PUMP KICK that rocks Chris’s jaw! The hall of famer is taken down by a rookie, and now Ashlynn steps in and goes for a cover on Chris Elite!

Chris manages to roll underneath her legs instead, which causes Ashlynn to follow her eyes to where Chris goes… CHRIS COMES UP WITH ‘THE DICKEATERY STOPPER’ TO ASHLYNN! A HUGE UPPERCUT STUNS ASHLYNN!
Deadprez: Chris successfully connects and now seizes his opponent in a position before dropping Ashlynn to the mat with an Exploder Suplex! Ashlynn gets taken down to the ground by Chris, and now he comes back to his feet, running towards the ropes…. HE SPRINGBOARDS BACK AND A MOONSAULT PERFECTLY EXECUTES BY CHRIS ELITE!
Gavin Kirkland: Chris shoots back at Ashlynn with fire, and more fuel is being added to the fire inside Chris’ heart and soul right now. Chris pops back to his feet and now goes to the top while Ashlynn is still down! Chris makes his way to the top with Veena yelling at him, which causes him to be distracted once again.
Chris Elite: (Off-Mic) (BEEP), the hell do you want????
Veena Adams: (Off-Mic) I’m going to KILL YOU! AND KILL YOU!… AND KILL YOU!

Eve: Chris shakes his head slightly, and now puts his focus back on the match…. ‘AIMIN FOR THE MOON’ !!!!!!! A SPIRAL TRAP ON ASHLYNN-
Deadprez: ASHLYNN ROLLS OUT OF HER WAY AND CAUSES CHRIS CRASHING DOWN TO THE GROUND! Chris holds down his face and is now in trouble, giving Ashlynn a chance to make a move! Chris is in a terrible spot and turns back around to Ashlynn, who has gotten back to her feet….. A RUNNING JUMPING DDT SPIKES CHRIS TO THE GROUND! CHRIS’ HEAD DRIVES THE GROUND BY A DDT AND HE BOUNCES OFF THE MAT LIKE A RAGDOLL!
Gavin Kirkland: I told you guys that Ashlynn is the generational talent and she isn’t missing at all, just like in this match where she has been impressing Veena and me so far! Ashlynn looks pretty much happy once again and now picks Chris off the mat back to both feet with her, and Chris is still yet to be fully recovered…. ASHLYNN PULLS CHRIS IN AND LOOKS FOR A NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX, TAKING HIM DOWN IN PROGRESS!
Eve: Chris says no to it and delivers a few punches to Ashlynn’s gut, trying to slow her down and get out from under her wing. Ashlynn tries to resist it before Chris hits her with a huge knee right into her gut this time, causing her to stumble and back away from him. Chris starts regaining some composure before approaching Ashlynn and looking for a Vertical Suplex to take her down.
Deadprez: Oh hold on, Ashlynn drops herself down to the ground at the moment Chris is just about to grab her arm. Now she goes for a roll-up on Chris, but she isn’t going for a pin and lets Chris drop himself to both knees…. SHE PULLS HERSELF TO BOTH FEET AND LOOKS TO CONNECT WITH CHRIS WITH ANOTHER DDT, BUT THIS TIME IT’S ‘PASADENA NIGHTS,’ WHICH IS ONE OF HER SIGNATURES!
Gavin Kirkland: POP-UP RIGHT HAND! Chris pops her up into the air at the moment she’s stepping in for another DDT, and connects with a right hand right across her jaw! Chris gets back to both feet with both fists going right across her jaw…. follows it up with a shoot kick, a backfist connecting to the side, and A HUGE LARIAT THAT TURNS ASHLYNN INSIDE OUT! ‘5 BOROUGH COMBO’ TAKES DOWN THE BOUJEE PRINCESS!
Eve: What a quick combo by Chris right there, leaving Ashlynn flabbergasted by his move, and now Chris has his upper hand back once again this time. Chris snatches Ashlynn back to both feet again before throwing her down towards the rope, spinning around and… BOOM! ‘HEADSHOT’ !!! A PELE KICK TAKES OUT ASHLYNN COMPLETELY! CHRIS DROPS INTO A COVER ON HER AND THE REFEREE STARTS THE COUNT!

Deadprez: Chris is still surprised that he survived the close count of three there and starts recollecting things while Ashlynn tries to come back to her feet as soon as possible. Chris wins the race of who will be back to their feet first and steps in, seizes Ashlynn, and LOOKS FOR ‘MOOD SWINGS’ FRONT FLIP SNAPMARE DRIVER ON ASHLYNN TO PLANT HER!
Eve: Ashlynn hangs on, forcing Chris to hesitate the move before driving a hard right knee to the back of Chris’ knee, causing him to fall down to one knee. She then picks him up and tosses Chris down to the ropes, sidesteps, AND DROPS CHRIS BY THE BACK OF HIS HEAD WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX!
Gavin Kirkland: CHRIS COUNTERS THE GERMAN SUPLEX AND LANDS ON BOTH FEET! Ashlynn turns her attention all around before looking back to Chris and running towards him- ‘BROOKLYN HIGH’ CONNECTS! A SPANISH FLY CATCHES HER OFF GUARD!
Deadprez: Chris Elite is currently in the middle of a match against Ashlynn, and it appears that Chris is getting closer to securing a victory over the up-and-coming rookie. Ashlynn is completely down but Chris isn’t going to let her off the hook just yet. Chris starts to push himself off the mat, while Ashlynn rolls down underneath the bottom rope to take a moment of rest. Chris begins to regain his footing and then walks over to retrieve Ashlynn and bring her back inside the ring… but Ashlynn’s slow descent to the ground causes Chris to lean against the ropes in disappointment as he looks down upon her.
Eve: Well, Chris is the kind of person who easily becomes unhappy when his opponent does not do him any favors. Now, Chris has gone down to the outside of the ring and is helping Ashlynn up off the ground before sending her back into the ring by tossing…. HEY LOOK! CHRIS WAS JUST ABOUT TO FOLLOW ASHLYNN BACK INTO THE RING WHILE THE REFEREE WAS CHECKING ON HER, BUT VEENA ADAMS GRABBED CHRIS BY THE FOOT IN AN ATTEMPT TO PREVENT HIM FROM GETTING BACK INTO THE RING!

Eve: A TOP ROPE HURRICANRANA SENDS CHRIS FLYING FROM THE APRON, CRASHING DOWN TO THE HARD CONCRETE GROUND ON THE OUTSIDE! ASHLYNN IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE FOR THAT!

( Both women step away from Chris’ lifeless body as Veena raises his title up high into the air, with Ashlynn standing beside her, while ‘7 Rings’ by Ariana Grande plays throughout the arena. The crowd rains down a huge boo on both women, who are just smiling with satisfaction. The final shot displays Veena and Ashlynn standing over Chris as the scene fades to a commercial break. )

Mikaela Street: Hi! I am here once again with some very special guests and am so excited to talk to them today, they are Xander Payne and Ryan Joseph Wilson, better known as DOMINION!
(Ryan and Xander are shown sitting there as the camera pans out some to show the whole setting.)
Mikaela Street: Hello Gentlemen, it is so awesome to have you here today! So, tell me…. How did this tag team come about?
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Hello Mikaela! So good to be back in EAW’s home RIGHT HERE in Newark, New Jersey!
( The crowd is heard cheering for a moment. )
Ryan Joseph Wilson: I’m getting used to that, the cheers of the crowd as they are finally supporting me and seeing Ryan Joseph Wilson for who he truly is. I thank them for that, now, how did this tag team come about? It came out of a desire and a need. It wouldn’t have been possible had Xander not offered his counsel to me when I was needing it the most and he saw in me the potential that I almost threw out the window by nearly leaving the company during the worst time of my career. From there, as I emerged from the abyss this team became an obvious thing to happen when you factor in the need for Showdown to go back to what it’s all about and that is wrestling. Because Xander always has that vision of a brand once again back on top as the Flagship show of EAW and for that we make it happen through wrestling. From there emerged this team, and thus Dominion was created.
Xander Payne: For anyone who needs any more clarity on what DOMINION was built off. DOMINION is a brotherhood forged from battle; it is as simple as that. While Ryan Wilson has benefited profusely from an allegiance that many didn’t expect, including me, DOMINION was formed because we both have one thing in mind; making sure that people around here can chant “WE WRESTLE” with confidence. We strive to keep the roots of professional wrestling alive and prosperous.. and we figured that it doesn’t hurt to have someone by your side or owe you a favor. It doesn’t hurt if you are in an environment where the more numbers, the merrier… and this is just the beginning of DOMINION.
Mikaela Street: Ryan and Xander, what many fans saw was that both of you almost became the Unified Tag Team Champions, it was so close, how do you feel about that and where do you see Dominion now in the tag team division?
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Can I?
Xander Payne: Sure thing.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Heading into Operation Doomsday we felt like we’ve done everything right. A pristine tag team record, excellent work ethics, quality promotional material, and the knowledge that we could get it done while facing one of the best tag teams in the industry.
Xander Payne: Except we weren’t ready.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: We are man enough to admit that we weren’t, see we could’ve come up with all the excuses in the world but that ain’t what Dominion is about. We lost against Soul Food Sunday, they were the better team and may still be for quite some time despite Potara going at them strong heading into Grand Rampage. The point is our team still had some work to do to deserve the Unified Tag Team Championships, and while losing during the final test sucks balls en masse it didn’t deter us. See, they expected us to implode remember that? They thought Xander would leave or that I’d stab him or whatever yet here we are not only still a team but growing stronger by the day. Dominion is one of the best teams in EAW’s tag team division, there’s no doubt about it but the titles are currently taking a back seat in our priorities as we now focus taking on Devolution with the future of wrestling on Showdown hanging on the balance.
Mikaela Street: Ryan, what does Xander mean to you as a tag team partner I will ask the same question to Xander.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: To me, Xander is more than a tag team partner Mikaela. You see, first, he took on a mentor’s role but things grew from there. He is more than a friend or an associate I see him as my brother. And while brothers don’t always get along we are there for each other when it matters most and we work to better each other because that’s what brothers do.
Xander Payne: You heard me say that DOMINION was forged from a brotherhood, so what does that make Ryan Wilson? That makes him a brother and I truly mean it with all my heart. I spent so many years in this business, even this company, that I could succeed by being by myself. Don’t get it twisted: I spent many years in the tag team division with my brother way before I got to EAW.. but outside of that one run with Myles. It was by myself. I walked alone in my journey to the Hall of Fame.. and that is because it is difficult to trust people. It is difficult to trust people to be loyal, and it is also difficult to trust people to hold their end of the bargain.. So, it was fair that I was skeptical of Ryan at first. I never liked Ryan Wilson in the past, but he has taken the necessary steps in gaining my trust and showing me that he deserves to be by my side.. and now I call him a brother and I wouldn’t have it any different.
Mikaela Street: Okay…. So, you two made some huge waves a few weeks ago siding with Ms. Extreme, why? Everyone wants to know why you made the choice and the reasoning behind it.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: As far as I’m concerned this is not my first foray against Management or a group that claims power or some semblance of authority. I faced a team known as The One Percent, I also faced a group known as New Eden so I am not unfamiliar with standing against those who think they know better and want to do ‘’What is best’’. The difference is, Devolution is backed by the General Manager while the factions I just mentioned didn’t need to do it. The One Percent grew on its own, dominated on its own they didn’t need Management to rise to prominence and the same can be said of New Eden. Perhaps Devolution needs Kennedy Street because they can’t rise to prominence on their own, or maybe they do it save for Pandora because they feel it’s the best way to fast-track their position to the top of the charts so they prefer to use backstage politics rather than put some actual effort in so that they can get what they want. That isn’t the marking of someone irreplaceable, and it doesn’t isn’t Chosen One-esque to stoop to that level especially when he is closer to the top than he might think. They haven’t sold out, nah, they are showing us they need the push because they can’t do it on their own. So they are taking the easy way up, and Dominion along with Ms. Extreme is here to remind them that the way to success isn’t through string-pulling and alliances with management it’s through WRESTLING! Camille doesn’t care about Management or Disney, she has made that clear for a long time now. What she wants is simple: She wants to wrestle and we recognize that and thus that is why we decided to support her.
Mikaela Street: What are your feelings heading into Grand Rampage and your opponents?
Xander Payne: I am quite excited about what is going to go down in the city of Boston. We took our side and drew the line in the battlefield because we not only see them as a threat to what DOMINION is aiming to accomplish here on Showdown, but personally, I don’t like those three nincompoops. I don’t like Jon Kelton. I don’t like Amir Yusuf. I most certainly don’t like Pandora Paisley. My reasons behind that all differ, but they are toxic and condescending pieces of garbage who don’t deserve to be in that sacred squared circle.. and they truly believe they are the future of this business… like they are what the future of this industry needs… When all they are doing is making it go backward. They are making this brand take steps back into what it shouldn’t be.. and DOMINION doesn’t want. DOMINION wants to change for the good. DOMINION wants this place to prosper. DOMINION wants this place to be a beacon of opportunity where you can earn respect and opportunities. Does DEVOLUTION want that? No.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: I don’t have any hard feelings towards Pandora Paisley, I might at one point have had some towards Amir when he stabbed me in the back after we won as a tag team on my first and only match on Dynasty before being traded but I don’t anymore. And while I used to have hard feelings for what happened as a result of being defeated by Jon Kelton I don’t have any bad feelings regarding the man himself. Because he didn’t purposefully send me spiraling into the bottom of the barrel last season, he just happened to be the one loss that sent me there. I know Pandora is doing this out of loyalty to Kennedy and the Street family. Amir found love in Pandora I guess that’s good for him but deep down the man wants to be up there and so following the General Manager’s desires works for him. For now at least. Jon is drinking the Street Kool-Aid only because he knows this is a way that could cement him as a Main Eventer and perhaps even a World Champion so he is doing this solely for himself. Pandora never succeeded as part of Serotonin or The Rogues Gallery, and history proves the same goes for Jon and Amir so what makes them think they will succeed against a trio who proved they could be team players in the past? Who proved they can be great tag team partners be it here or elsewhere? They will realize that we are more than they can handle, and at the end of the day, Wrestling is what will be on top of things. And Xander, myself, and Camille have one thing in common: WE WRESTLE!
Mikaela Street: What is next for Dominion?
Xander Payne: It is as simple as taking down Devolution as we gear up on the journey to Payne For Pride 5.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Up next is Grand Rampage and perhaps a win against a team that will put us to the test regardless of what they think or will say about us. After? Who knows? Maybe I will help Xander obtain a World Championship match, maybe I will work to earn a shot at the National Elite Championship and challenge Veena Adams. Maybe a different challenge will emerge. Maybe I’ll set my sight on another Championship or maybe we will focus on something else entirely but one thing is for sure, no matter what is next for Dominion we do it for the sake of Showdown, we do it to bring this brand back at the best brand in all of wrestling not just EAW.
Mikaela Street: Finally…. Any last words?

Deadprez: Camille’s last match happened during Reasonable Doubt against Jack Ripley, a match where we saw the return of Pandora Paisley, since then the two have been at each other’s throats like two savage beasts!
Gavin Kirkland: The Hellcat struck first during the match against Jack Ripley but hostilities continued last week on Showdown! What can we expect this week? We’ll have to see but until then Camille has a match!
Eve: Both she and Lexi exchanged words through promos this week and this match as a result should be quite interesting! Who will win between Camille’s experience and Lexi’s quickness and agility?
( “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers plays over the speakers of the place while the rebellious one makes her way to the ring with a look of confidence though not happy. )
Gina Romano: AAAAAAAND HIS OPPONENT!! From Detroit, Michigan! Weighing in at 117 pounds. She is The Motor City Machine Gun: LEXIIIIIII!!!
Deadprez: No matter how things end up in the ring, one thing you can be sure of with Lexi is that she’s not going to go at it halfway and she will give it her all inside the squared circle. She knows she is on the cusp of greatness and she just needs to take that one big step to launch herself into the stratosphere!
Gavin Kirkland: This week I heard her say she sees this as her last chance to break out, this is a whole lot of pressure to put on her shoulders, especially against an opponent the quality of Camille Ella Ava. Did Lexi doom herself before she ever stepped foot in the ring, or is she going to shine and give us an upset?
( Ding! Ding! Ding! )
Deadprez: AND HERE WE GO! This match is officially underway! This is going to be quite the fascinating match-up between the Championship-proven Ms. Extreme and Lexi who is still looking for her first EAW career title! Both opponents are looking at each other from their respective corners as the official sum them up to get this party started and they begin by circling one another. Lexi stares daggers toward the more experienced Ms. Extreme who doesn’t seem impressed.
Gavin Kirkland: Lexi tries to go for a takedown but Camille quickly slips past, denying the young Chambers. Ms. Extreme then tries to grab at a leg but Lexi hops over as well. Both opponents are studying each other now although Ms. Extreme looks more amused than anything at the moment. Both engage in a clinch and Camille powers Lexi against the ropes!
Eve: The referee orders separation and Ms. Extreme does as told quickly looking at Lexi while moving to the center of the ring. Clinch once again and Camille is repeating the same thing the official is going through the options BUT LEXI TURNS CAMILLE AROUND AND INTO THE ROPES AND BEGINS TO THROW STRIKES AT HER! Camille seems surprised before SHE GETS DROPKICKED OUTSIDE OF THE RING!!
Deadprez: Camille tumbles down on the outside floor while Lexi is in quick pursuit shortly behind her after having looked on for a short moment. LEXI BOUNCES CAMILLE’S HEAD ON OUR ANNOUNCE TABLE AND REPEATS IT A FEW TIMES!!! She then rolls Camille inside of the ring but the Ava rolls to the apron on the opposite side. Lexi to the ropes and charges towards her BUT CAMILLE RAISES A KNEE CATCHING LEXI’S FACE WITH IT!
Gavin Kirkland: An eager Lexi got caught in her own momentum with this veteran move from Camille who shakes her head from kissing our table a few moments ago. Lexi looks stunned as she crawls to the center of the ring with a cautious Camille moving through the ropes now. She moves to Lexi forcing her to her feet, and she hoists her up for a side slam BUT LEXI CONVERT IT INTO AN ARM DRAG TAKEDOWN!!
Eve: Camile backs herself into a corner as Lexi goes to the opposite one trying to capitalize! Camille suddenly charges forward trying to strike first but Lexi moves out of the corner. She lunges at Camille SLAMMING HER BACK AGAINST HER! Lexi parkour rolls to the center of the ring before running to Camille USING THE MIDDLE ROPE TO GET A HIGH KNEE TO CAMILLE’S FACE!!
Deadprez: The former Pure Champion tumbles to the second rope hanging on to it AND LEXI FROM BEHIND DROPKICKS HER AGAINST IT! To the floor lands Camille who then makes her way to a nearby corner holding to the ropes as Lexi stalks her AND THEN GOES TO GRAB THE TOP ROPES HOISTING HERSELF ON AND PLANTING BOTH FEET TO CAMILLES SPINE WITH A STOMP!
Gavin Kirkland: And Lexi keeps on stomping using the ropes to jump as she stomps again and again! She drags Camille to the center of the ring, she’s trying to go for a sharpshooter but Camille kicks her away and into the ropes! That could’ve meant trouble for Ella Ava who is clutching to the ropes to help herself up. Lexi charges forward with a knee strike BUT CAMILLE DUCKS AND CATCHES LEXI WHO WAS NOW SITTING ON THE SECOND ROPE! SHE GETS HER OVER HER HEAD INTO A CRUCIFIX POSITION AND DROPS HER DOWN INTO A POWERBOMB!!
Deadprez: Camille looks to gain control over the match as Lexi was trying to do the same during the initial stage of this match, she holds Lexi by the hair AND PULLS HER INTO A GORY SPECIAL!! THE QUICKNESS WITH WHICH SHE EXECUTED THE MOVE! WOW!
Gavin Kirkland: Ms. Extreme is looking to establish her dominance now as she brings Lexi up to her feet and goes for a crisp snap suplex but she doesn’t let go of Lexi as she maneuvers herself to throw her opponent overhead with a release German suplex that projects the smaller opponent dead in the center of the ring. Lexi is holding the back of her head as she is moving up to a vertical base AND GETS SWUNG INTO A DRAGON SUPLEX SOON AFTER!!
Eve: Camille doesn’t appear to be done as she sets up Lexi with a belly-to-belly suplex slamming down the smaller Lexi hard on the floor! She moves her up by the hair pulling her up. She turns her so Lexi’s back is facing her, hooks an arm under hers and around her neck, AND SWINGS HER INTO AN EXPLODER SUPLEX!!! Camille goes for a cover!!

Eve: Lexi kicked out after three various suplexes!!! Camile throws in a few punches to her opponent while she’s on the floor before quickly making her way topside on the nearest turnbuckle. She looks down at Lexi BEFORE GOING AIRBORNE WITH A SHOOTING STAR SENTON THAT LANDS ON TARGET!!! Some damage was done to Camille as well as she clutches her stomach a moment but she goes to Lexi to attempt a cover BUT LEXI SHOVES HER OFF!!
Deadprez: Lexi shows her resiliency early on, a mark of her determination to achieve success despite her shortcomings and part of what makes her a beloved figure by the crowd as she tries to move to her feet of her own power but Camille meets with her soon after. Headlock from Camille who then turns it onto a wrist lock before making her way to the ropes AND PERFORMS A SPRINGBOARD ARMDRAG!! Down goes Lexi who is moving quickly to the feel BUT GOES BACK DOWN AS CAMILLE CLIPS HER WITH A DROPKICK!!!
Gavin Kirkland: Lexi then rolls to the outside of the ring trying to create separation and gather herself BUT CAMILLE HAS OTHER INTENTIONS AS SHE BOUNCES TO THE ROPES AND RUNS TO LEXI LEAPING OVER THE TOP ROPES WITH A TOPE CON HILO LANDING ON HER OPPONENT!!! The crowd loves the daring move and Lexi is now down on the floor with Camille getting off of her under the cheers of the capacity crowd!
Eve: The referee is ordering Camille to bring Lexi and the action back inside the ring but the Queen doesn’t listen for now as she moves to Irish whip Lexi against the barricade BUT LEXI COUNTERS AND SENDS HER AGAINST IT INSTEAD!! Lexi shakes her head a little bit, gathering herself she acted on instinct with this one but the next move won’t be as she charges Camille WHO FLIPS HER OVER THE GUARD RAIL AND INTO THE CROWD!!!
Deadprez: Camille goes to reach and grab hold of Lexi’s hair forcing her up SLAMMING HER FACE ON THE TOP OF THE RAILING BEFORE THEN FLIPPING HER BACK OVER AND INSIDE THE RINGSIDE AREA!! The official began to count, now at two but Camille doesn’t allow him to go to three as she brings Lexi inside the ring to continue the battle. Lexi gets scoop slammed before Camille goes to the nearest corner and stands on it waiting for her opponent. What will she do?

Whip to the ropes Camille goes for a clothesline but Lexi ducks now, quickly spins, and LIGHTS OUT!!! LEXI JUST TOOK DOWN CAMILLE WITH HER PATENTED SUPERKICK!!! CAMILLE RAN RIGHT INTO THAT ONE AND LEXI HAS AN OPPORTUNITY!! COVER!!

If you just tuned in we are in the middle of a fight between Ms. Extreme and Lexi who moves to a half-guard position throwing fists down at Camille before moving her up. She keeps her dazed, a few elbows to the face before whipping the former Pure Champion into a corner and she follows and hops on the second rope! She holds a handful of Camille’s hard and starts to throw punches down!!
Crowd: ONE! TWO!! THREE!!! FOUR!!!! FIVE!!!!! SIX!!!!!! SEVEN!!!!!!! EIGHT!!!!!!!! NINE!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: She kisses her knuckles BEFORE THROWING ONE MORE PUNCH!!!

Gavin Kirkland: Lexi moves away from Camille who looks stunned in the corner. Lexi heads to the opposite corner before dashing forward and going for a splash throwing her entire body at Camille! SHE SUDDENLY FOLLOWS WITH A BACKSPIN KICK INTO THE CORNER! Camille bends forward and is quickly grabbed into a headlock THAT LEXT CONVERTS INTO A RUNNING BULLDOG!!
Eve: Camille goes to the outside rolling away from Lexi who has fire in her eyes, mounting an offensive assault on her opponent who up until the signature superkick had the upper hand in the match. LEXI WITH A SUICIDE DIVE FROM INSIDE THE RING TURNING IT INTO A HURRICANRANA TAKING DOWN MS. EXTREME!! The fans cheer as Lexi seems riled up but some boo as they are supporting Camille!
Deadprez: Ms. Extreme is holding her back as she is then picked up, and forced to her feet by the Detroit-born Lexi who grabs her by the belt and swings her up in a quick snap suplex! Camille lands on her back, arching herself wincing in pain as Lexi then begins to throw kicks and knees at her while the official orders the action to resume back inside the ring.
Gavin Kirkland: Camille moves to her knees trying to recover once she is grabbed by the hair and shoved inside the ring by Lexi who is two steps behind her and now both competitors are once more inside the squared circle. Lexi goes to the ropes just as Camille is moving to her feet looking for her opponent WHO USED THE ROPES FOR A SPRINGBOARD HIGH KNEE STRIKE!! DOWN GOES MS. EXTREME AND LEXI GOES FOR A COVER!!

Eve: The fans cheer for Camille for allowing this match to continue but also appear to cheer for Lexi who is putting forth a very good performance right now! The crowd is the true winner of this match thus far and Lexi doesn’t appear to be bothered much by Camille kicking out. This was a message sent that she is coming here to wrestle just like Camille asked her to!
Deadprez: Lexi is asking Camille to get back to her feet but actually she doesn’t give her the time to fully get up as she goes to the ropes and goes behind Camille WITH A BACKSTABBER THAT TAKES MS. EXTREME DOWN JUST AFTER SHE TRIED TO STRIKE AT LEXI WITH A HARD ELBOW!!
Gavin Kirkland: Down goes Camille ending on her stomach, holding her back, AND LOOK AT LEXI WHO JUMPS ON HER BACK AND MOVES HER HANDS OVER CAMILLE’S HEAD!!! CROSSFACE WAS APPLIED ON MS. EXTREME WHOSE ARMS ARE FLAILING ABOUT TRYING NOT TO HIT ON THE FLOOR TO TAP OUT!!! THE OFFICIAL ASKS HER IF SHE WANTS TO GIVE UP AND CAMILLE SCREAMS NO AS SHE STRUGGLES TO MOVE TO THE ROPES!!!!
Eve: CAMILLE MANAGES LUCKILY FOR HER TO REACH FOR THE BOTTOM ROPE AND KEEP HER CHANCES AT VICTORY ALIVE AND THE FANS LOVE HER COMBATIVE SPIRIT BY CHEERING HER ON! The referee orders Lexi to get go of the hold and she does so after a few short seconds, complying and moving to her feet as she looks down on Camille.
Deadprez: Lexi is heading to the ropes as Camille is moving to her feet, she passes by her opponent once, and a second time by the other side, AND THEN POUNCES ON HER WITH A LOU THESZ PRESS!!! Camille is getting a series of hard-hitting fists to the face before Lexi quickly moves off of her, goes to the ropes, and drops an elbow to her chest before foul mouthing her a bit under the delight of our home crowd!

Deadprez: What a great match we just witnessed here tonight between two gifted athletes! Lexi gave a great fight, one that should catch the eyes of management especially against one of the greats in Camille despite what Kennedy Street thinks of her.
Gavin Kirkland: It just wasn’t her day, but I admit she fought hard however Camille fought harder. Lexi had a few chances but in the end it was the experience of Ella Ava who got the upper-

Deadprez: PANDORA PAISLEY JUST GOT INSIDE THE RING AND IS ATTACKING CAMILLE AS SHE WAS GETTING UP THE RAMP!!!! SHE JUST LAID HER OUT WITH A BRUTAL CHAIRSHOT AND SHE’S UNLOADING ON HER NOW!!!
( The final shot is of Camille, on the floor, unconscious and standing above her with a chair and the most malicious smirk ever is Pandora Paisley as the crowd boos massively. )
(Backstage….
The night was dark and foreboding… you know the drill. The screen is filled with a sepia tint, so you know exactly what is coming next. The latest installment of Dick Tracie, oh yes, we went there, trying his absolute hardest to find out who assaulted Kassidy Heart on that fateful night. His current suspects need no introduction, and Dick was looking forwards to this interrogation, believe that he was onto something. His cool and calm demeanor giving the impression that on this night, he was going to solve the case. Ashlynn Quinn and Veena Adams, predictably, are just as eager to get this over.)
Richard Tracie P.I: So, Ms. Adams…
Ashlynn Quinn: That’s Ms. Adams, the best champion on EAW television to you.
Richard Tracie P.I: I shall stick with Ms. Adams if you don’t mind
Ashlynn Quinn: You do you, boo.
Richard Tracie P.I: It’s fair to say isn’t it, that if anyone had a motive it would, be you?
Ashlynn Quinn: Objection!
Richard Tracie P.I: This is not a court of law, you can object, but you’re not a lawyer.
Ashlynn Quinn: Oh, you poor little man, in the court of boujee, we do what we like.
Richard Tracie P.I: Ms. Adams, are you incapable of speaking for yourself?
(Veena simply holds a single hand up, declining to answer.)
Ashlynn Quinn: Veena has no reason to answer your questions. Anything you have to say can be directed at me.
Richard Tracie P.I: OK, then where were you at the time of the assault?
(Ashlynn’s eyes widen, and then her face fills with disgust.)
Ashlynn Quinn: You think that I would dirty my perfectly manicured and sparkly fingers on that tramp, uggo?
Richard Tracie P.I: I mean, maybe. After all, it seems like you would do anything for Ms. Adams, so why not take out her greatest personal enemy?
Ashlynn Quinn: Oh please. And AS IF I would use a brick, my skin is wayyyyy too precious for that. Diamond encrusted scepter perhaps. A glittery mirror maybe. THAT would be the boujee way of doing it. Not something as callous as a brick.
Richard Tracie P.I: So, Ms. Adams…
(Ashlynn lifts her forefinger, and then points it at her face.)
Richard Tracie P.I: This is ridiculous, how can I investigate if you won’t answer my questions?
(He directs that solely at Veena, who is by now filing her nails to perfection.)
Richard Tracie P.I: If you do not comply, then I will have to inform Ms. Street of such and advise that she should act accordingly. You want to be taken off the list of suspects, don’t you?
Ashlynn Quinn: Listen Dickie… everyone knows that Veena hates Kassidy, we don’t need some jumped up investigator trying to figure that out. By the way, that outfit… is so 1940’s.
Richard Tracie P.I: That’s kind of the idea
Ashlynn Quinn: Well, just be more… glamorous. As I was saying, I am doing the speaking while Veena here pleads the fifth, because she shouldn’t have to waste her time defending herself.
Richard Tracie P.I: Why?
Ashlynn Quinn: Because, if she were going to do this, she would have done it a long time ago, and only hasn’t out of respect for her Uncle Ryan. There is nothing more boujee to us than family, and Kassidy should think herself lucky that she is a part of that family. Or else, what happened, would have been far worse.
(Veena gets to her feet, Ashlynn doing the same, a confused look forming on Richard Tracie P. I’s face.)
Richard Tracie P.I: Where are you going, I’m not finished.
Veena Adams: Maybe not, but we are. Anything else you have to say, you say it to my lawyer.
(Ashlynn blows the Private Investigator a kiss, and both she and Veena leave, Richard left shaking his head.)
Richard Tracie P.I: Dammit, I really thought it was going to be her. But she’s right, she could have done it ages ago.
(The scene cuts, to a dressing room, Xander Payne and Ryan Wilson looking around the scene wondering what has happened to the coloring.)
Xander Payne: Damn, I look good in Sepia.
Ryan Wilson: It really brings out your eyes.
Xander Payne: Too much broski.
(Richard Tracie P.I coughs to get their attention back.)
Richard Tracie P.I: If you could please answer my question Mr. Wilson?
Ryan Wilson: Well yeah. Sure. We don’t like each other, but I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone that does like her. Anyone on this roster could be a suspect really, everyone would have some motive for it.
Richard Tracie P.I: So, why shouldn’t it be you?
Ryan Wilson: Because let’s face it, I’m above using a brick.
Richard Tracie P.I: Hmmm, it seems a lot of my suspects say that.
Ryan Wilson: Because it’s true. I like to think I have a bit more class.
Richard Tracie P.I: Is that so?
Ryan Wilson: Absolutely!
Richard Tracie P.I: So, are you saying that you weren’t the individual I watched on footage during my preparations for this case. Almost killing Lexi with a pipe.
(Ryan has a shocked look on his face.)
Ryan Wilson: Uhhhhh…
(Xander jumps in, seeing his Dominion colleague floundering and speechless.)
Xander Payne: Look, all of this is irrelevant.
(Ryan sighs, thankful for the interruption.)
Richard Tracie P.I: I don’t think so Mr. Payne, I think the fact that Mr. Wilson is capable of such atrocities is more than relevant.
Xander Payne: You’re wrong. It’s irrelevant because this is wrestling. What happened to Kassidy, happens on most shows, but you don’t see an investigation into that do you? No, this is all because it’s Princess Kassidy Heart. What if we hit her with a brick? So what? There isn’t a single person on this roster that wouldn’t try and take her out if they had the chance. We are just more open and realistic about it. It happens Dick, and this company needs to get over it.
Ryan Wilson: Preach.
Richard Tracie P.I: So, is this a confession? Are you saying that you did it?
Xander Payne: Hell no.
Ryan Wilson: Nope, wasn’t us.
Xander Payne: We are Canadian, and we don’t believe in violence.
(The P.I looks on for a few moments, and then nods his head.)
Richard Tracie P.I: That’s good enough for me Gentlemen, you may leave.
(The Dominion get to their feet and leave the office, the scene cutting again, this time to Kennedy’s office.)
Richard Tracie P.I: Well, apparently all this is too ‘boujee’ for Ashlynn and Veena.
Kennedy Street: I could have told you that Honey. Ryan Adams is the common denominator there and Veena wouldn’t upset him, not ever.
Richard Tracie P.I: And I don’t think it’s Dominion either.
Kennedy Street: You sure… they have been a right royal pain in Kennie’s perfectly formed…
Richard Tracie P.I: They are Canadian.
(Kennedy puts on a ‘of course’ face, catching on to the situation.)
Kennedy Street: That’s right, couldn’t possibly be them. So, who’s next?
Richard Tracie P.I: I’m not sure, but the list is dwindling. It won’t be long now.
Kennedy Street: Good, because I cannot wait to hand out some punishment.
(Richard nods his head agreeably, also hoping that this was all over soon. He needed that paycheck, the first of the year. Which had nothing to do with his abilities as a Private Investigator. It cuts to the last commercial break.)
(The camera cuts back to the ring for the final time as Gina Romano is standing front and center with a microphone in hand, ready to start the introductions for tonight’s main event.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen! Our main event contest is a TAG TEAM MATCH set for TV TIME REMAINING and is scheduled for ONE FALL!!
Crowd: ONE FALL!!
(“Pressure” by Paramore starts to play as Alex Myers enters the arena to loud and boisterous cheers from the crowd. Regardless of the semantics of this match, Alex is more than ready to compete as they head to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first and making their way to the ring! They are from Auckland, New Zealand! Weighing in at 180 pounds! Here is “THE GUARDIAN ANGEL” ALEX MYERS.
Deadprez: Here comes the young competitor who has been taking the world by storm in recent memory. Alex Myers is geared up and ready to go for this tag team main event. Especially after what happened last week with their tag team partner.
Gavin Kirkland: It’s a contract signing in EAW, we always expect a disaster and that’s exactly what we got. Alex put Jake through a table and held the Answers World Championship showing that they want that title badly.
Eve: Alex has been on a roll as of late and Grand Rampage could be their crowning glory. Tonight, they have to make it through this match and do whatever they can to work with their partner.
(Alex enters the ring and takes their respective corner as their entrance music fades off. Seconds later,’WAR’ by grandson starts to play as the Answers World Champion Jake Smith enters the arena to cheers from the crowd. He has his championship belt proudly on his shoulder as he heads to the ring. )
Gina Romano: Introducing their tag team partner! He is from Atherton, California! Weighing in at 210 pounds! Here is YOUR EAW ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION! “THE PROCESS” JAKE SMITH!
Eve: Here comes the Answers World Champion! He isn’t exactly in the best of moods since his tag team partner put him through a table last week. Jake is probably not in the best of moods tonight.
Deadprez: We have the standard “can they coexist scenario” coming into play in this match. On one team we have the champion and his challenger on the same side. Hopefully they can work together tonight.
Gavin Kirkland: With EAW, anything can happen, but I am expecting a blowup and a disaster tonight with the Jake/Alex team. Last week, they signed the contract for the title match at Grand Rampage. They need to at least be in the same book if they want to survive their opponents.
(Jake enters the ring and hands his Answers World Championship to the referee as Alex and Jake glare at each other as his music fades off. After another moment of silence,’Tot Musica‘ by Ado starts to play as Harper Lee and Holly Arrow enter the ring to a mixed and slightly positive reaction from the crowd. They want to get down to business as they immediately head to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Introducing their opponents and making their way to the ring! At a total combined weight of 267 pounds! Here are HOLLY ARROW AND HARPER LEE… POTARA!
Gavin Kirkland: Here comes the opposition and when it comes to tag team chemistry, these two are the exact OPPOSITE of their opponents. They work so well together in comparison to Jake and Alex.
Eve: A team that started out as a hate filled rivalry has turned into a very successful tag team duo. In a very short time, they have worked their ways quickly up the rankings of the tag team division.
Deadprez: Grand Rampage will be their biggest test to date as Harper and Holly take on Vizual Prophet and SOSA Henderson for the Unified Tag Team Championships. POTARA vs. Soul Food Sunday. That is going to be a great match. The challenging team wants to build momentum towards that match. Will they get the win or will Jake and Alex put aside their differences long enough to come out victorious. We are about to find out.
(Harper and Holly enter the ring and take their corner as their entrance music fades off. The referee checks all four competitors before calling for the bell.)

Deadprez: Here we go! Tag team main event underway. Harper has elected to start off for her team while the Answers World Champion Jake Smith is starting off for his team. Both competitors meet in the center of the ring and lock up!
Eve: Jake with the size advantage powers over Harper with a side headlock before she manages to get free. Hammerlock by Harper and JAKE THROWS A BACK ELBOW CATCHING HARPER IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD!
Gavin Kirkland: Harper staggered back for a second before Jake doubles her over and hooks her arms before PLANTING HARPER WITH A DOUBLE ARMED SUPLEX! Nice move by the Answers World Champion.
Eve: Jake is staying on the attack as he brings Harper back to her feet and whips her to the ropes. Harper comes back AS JAKE GOES FOR A SIDEWALK SLAM, BUT HARPER GETS HER LEGS AROUND JAKE’S NECK AND COUNTERS WITH A HEADSCISSORS!
Deadprez: Jake sent for the ride as he quickly gets back to his feet, BUT HARPER IS RIGHT THERE WITH A DROPKICK TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD AND JAKES GOES DOWN!
Gavin Kirkland: Jake is now on the ropes, literally and figuratively, as Harper brings Jake back to his feet AND USES HIS L’OREAL SPONSORED HAIR TO SNAPMARE HIM OVER! Jake is seated AND HARPER DELIVERS A STRAIGHT KICK TO THE BACK!
Deadprez: That had to send a not good sensation up his spine, but right now it’s Harper in control as she goes and tags in Holly Arrow!
(TAG!)
Eve: Holly Arrow is in the ring and Jake gets back to his feet and.. OHHHHHH! Look at what we’ve got here. We have a standoff between boyfriend and girlfriend right now in the center of the ring.
Deadprez: We failed to mention this during the introductions, but yes. Holly and Jake are a couple and are on opposing sides in this match. Will these two keep their personal lives by the wayside while trying to win this match?
Eve: We’ll find out eventually as neither one has made a move and are just circling each other like the Showdown at the OK Corral or something. One of these two need to make a move because this is ridicu–
(TAG!)
Gavin Kirkland: It looks like you got your move as Alex Myers was just tagged in. Alex is confused as to what in the world just went on but they get in the ring and Jake takes his place on the apron with a smirk on his face.
Eve: During the festivities before Reasonable Doubt, Holly talked about what would happen if it ended up being her and Jake facing off for the Answers World Championship at Grand Rampage and we almost got a taste of it.
Deadprez: But it was not meant to be as Alex is now in the ring AND HOLLY WITH A PALM STRIKE TO THE BACK OF ALEX’S HEAD! Alex was saying something to Jake and Holly took complete advantage of the situation.
Gavin Kirkland: No contact made between the couple in the ring, but there is contact now as Holly is just throwing forearm after forearm in Alex’s face before whipping them to the ropes. Alex comes back AND IS CLOBBERED WITH A RUNNING LARIAT!
Deadprez: Alex is immediately in trouble as Holly is just putting the boots to the Guardian Angel. Alex is rolling and rolling, but they eventually make it to the ropes. The referee forces a break and Holly backs off.
Eve: Holly comes running full speed LOOKING FOR A BASEBALL SLIDE DROPKICK, BUT ALEX PULLS THEMSELF UP USING THE ROPES TO AVOID THE MOVE AND HOLLY OUTSIDE THE RING AND TO THE FLOOR!
Deadprez: Holly lands on the floor in front of us and Alex takes the opportunity to spring onto the middle rope. ALEX FALLS BACK AND TAKES HOLLY DOWN WITH THE COFFIN DROP AND HOLLY CRASHES ONTO THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF US! WHAT A MOVE!
Eve: That’s what POTARA needs to watch out for with Alex Myers. Their high flying arsenal is second to none when it comes to the EAW roster as a whole. They are probably the biggest risk taker in all of EAW, so POTARA needs to be careful.
Gavin Kirkland: Risks can sometimes equal reward and Alex got a reward with that Coffin Drop. Alex brings Holly back to her feet and rolls her back into the ring and Alex quickly follows suit, but eventually finds themself in their favorite place in the ring: the top rope!
Eve: Alex is perched there ready for Holly to get back to her feet. She is up AND ALEX FLIES! ALEX CONNECTS ONCE AGAIN WITH THE DOUBLE KNEES! METEORA STYLE! Holly is back down and Alex quickly hooks the legs for the cover!

Deadprez: HOLLY GETS THE SHOULDER UP AT TWO! Alex stays on Holly to keep control of the match. They grab Holly’s ankle and drag Holly to their team’s corner. Alex is reaching out for the tag–
Gavin Kirkland: BUT JAKE ISN’T GOING FOR THE TAG! HE IS JUST STANDING ON THE APRON! He is acting like nothing is going on in front of him and Alex doesn’t like it.
Alex Myers: (off-mic) Tag in.
Jake Smith: (off-mic) Nah. I’m good right now. Thanks.
Deadprez: Jake isn’t even going to attempt to tag back into the match and that gives Holly way too much time to recover AND SHE KICKS ALEX OFF HER ANKLE!
Eve: ALEX FLUNG BACK AND THEY CRASH INTO JAKE AND JAKE GOES OFF THE APRON TO THE FLOOR! Alex caught their head on Jake’s chin and they are holding their head in pain. Holly is back up to her feet AND SHE DROPKICKS ALEX IN THE BACK!
Deadprez: Alex sent into the turnbuckle and falls back to Holly, WHO TAKES THEM DOWN WITH A BACK SUPLEX! ALEX GOES CRASHING HARD AND HOLLY QUICKLY BRIDGES UP INTO A COVER!

Eve: ALEX ROLLS THE SHOULDER UP! Alex almost got caught there thanks to his tag team partner not wanting to cooperate, so this might be a very long night for Alex Myers if they and Jake can’t get on the same page.
Gavin Kirkland: Right now it’s POTARA in control as Holly brings Alex to their feet and whips them to the corner and tags Harper Lee back into the match.

Eve: Harper back into the match and Harper kicks Alex in the gut and doubles them over. Both ladies have a facelock AND TAKE ALEX OVER AND DOWN WITH A NICE DOUBLE SUPLEX! Alex is down again and Harper now has control.
Deadprez: Harper drives boot after boot to Alex and Alex is trying to roll over to the ropes again. They are back in the ropes and the referee forces a break.
Gavin Kirkland: Harper knows what happened last time with Holly and Harper isn’t going to let Alex get away with the same trick twice AND HARPER LEE WITH A BOOT RIGHT TO ALEX’S FACE AND ALEX FALLS OFF THE APRON AND FALLS TO THE FLOOR!
Deadprez: Harper Lee hits the far side ropes as Alex gets back to his feet AND HARPER DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES AND HITS A BEAUTIFUL SUICIDE DIVE! THAT TAKES ALEX BACK DOWN AND SENDING THEM CRASHING TO THE FLOOR!
Eve: Harper is back to her feet and brings Alex up with her. Harper has a handful of hair and SMASHES ALEX’S FACE AGAINST THE RING APRON BEFORE ROLLING THEM INTO THE RING! Harper quickly follows and gets onto the middle turnbuckle.
Deadprez: Harper is getting comfortable on the second turnbuckle as Alex gets back to their feet. HARPER JUMPS OFF THE SECOND ROPE AND CATCHES ALEX WITH A SLINGBLADE CLOTHESLINE RIGHT UNDER THE CHIN!
Eve: ALEX GOES CRASHING BACK DOWN TO THE MAT! Harper now quickly scrambles over to Alex and hooks the leg for the cover!

Gavin Kirkland: ALEX KICKS OUT AT TWO! Harper and Holly and just systematically decimating Alex. Unfortunately for Alex, they are up the creek without a paddle since Jake is not really willing to tag back into the match.
Eve: Harper goes to whip Alex to the ropes as they come back, HARPER WITH A DROP TOE HOLD AND ALEX GOES CHEST FIRST INTO THE MIDDLE ROPE! Alex is just dangling there as Harper tags Holly.

Eve: Holly brings Alex back to their feet, AND ALEX WITH A JAWBREAKER OUT OF NOWHERE CATCHES HOLLY BY SURPRISE AS SHE STAGGERS BACK! Alex slowly gets back to their feet AND HOLLY ATTEMPTS TO THROW A CLOTHESLINE–
Deadprez: BUT ALEX AVOIDS IT AND HITS THE ROPES ON THE FAR SIDE AND JUMPS UP WHEN THEY COME BACK AND DROPS HOLLY RIGHT ON HER HEAD WITH A JUMPING DDT!
Eve: BOTH COMPETITORS ARE DOWN AND ALEX IS CRAWLING INTO THEIR CORNER! The question is will Jake be willing to take a tag right now and give Alex a chance to catch a breather.
Gavin Kirkland: Alex is almost into their corner and Jake is still standing in the corner. ALEX LEAPS OUT FOR THE TAG, BUT JAKE JUST HOPS OFF THE APRON AND ALEX IS IN DISBELIEF!
Eve: Jake once again avoids the tag. No contact and Alex looks angry. They are cheesed off and if looks could kill, Jake would not make it to Grand Rampage.

Deadprez: Potara has been DOMINATING this match since almost the very beginning of this match because their opponents are not able to even get on the same shelf, much less the same book. It’s Harper right now in the ring and she brings Alex back up to their feet and whips them to the ropes.
Eve: Alex comes back with the rebound AND HARPER LEE WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK THAT COULD HAVE TAKEN ALEX’S HEAD OFF! ALEX CRASHES HARD AGAINST THE MAT! I am honestly very shocked if Alex isn’t feeling concussed at the moment with all the head damage they are taking this match.
Deadprez: Harper brings Alex up once again and has a headlock on Alex AS SHE RUNS FULL SPEED TO THE CORNER AND SHE DRIVES ALEX FACE FIRST INTO THE MIDDLE TURNBUCKLE WITH THAT BULLDOG!
Eve: Harper slid through the ropes and landed on the apron with that bulldog and she is once again climbing up to the top rope. Alex falls back and is in prime position for another attack from Harper Lee.
Gavin Kirkland: Harper gets her balance on the top turnbuckle AND SHE JUMPS WITH THE DOUBLE FOOT STOMP FROM THE TOP ROPE AND ALEX SOMEHOW MANAGED TO ROLL OUT OF THE WAY AT THE VERY LAST SECOND AND THE STOMP COMES UP EMPTY FOR HARPER!
Eve: She might have landed awkwardly on her ankle with that landing, but Alex has made it back to their feet and turns Harper around. Alex with the facelock before lifting Harper up AND DROPPING HER ON THE TOP OF HER HEAD WITH THE 1916 STYLE DDT!

Eve: WHAT A NEAR FALL! HARPER BARELY GETS HER SHOULDER UP BEFORE THREE! ALEX ALMOST HAD THE MATCH HERE! Regardless of everything going on for their team, Alex is still putting their best foot forward in the hopes of winning this match.
Deadprez: Alex brings Harper back to her feet and muscles her up onto their shoulders. Alex is trying to run Harper to the corner for “A Forbidden Paradise”! ALEX RUNS TOWARDS THE CORNER–
Eve: HARPER SLIDES OFF ALEX’S SHOULDER AND FIRES OFF A FOREARM IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD! Alex turns around and fires off a few forearms of their own and they are just brawling right now.
Gavin Kirkland: It certainly took a long time to get to this point, so I applaud them for their restraint, but this match is far from over. Alex with a right hand staggers Harper and Alex locks Harper’s head and leg AND PLANTS HARPER WITH THE FISHERMAN’S SUPLEX. ALMOST A FISHERMAN’S BUSTER!
Eve: Now Alex is slowly staggering back into their corner. Is Alex going to try and tag out again? Why not? Who knows what will happen right now. Alex is back in the corner and Jake has an amused look on his face.
Alex Myers: (off-mic) Come on! Tag in!
Jake Smith: (off-mic) I told you that you have this. You wanna be World Champion? Go back and finish the job.

Gavin Kirkland: HARPER’S LEGS AROUND JAKE’S NECK AND HARPER SENDS JAKE FOR THE RIDE WITH A HEADSCISSOR TAKEOVER! Jake was sent head over heels with that headscissors.

Eve: Jake is back to his feet as he grabs hold of Harper as he drags Harper into his corner and he goes to tag in Alex Myers to hopefully win the match right here–
(When Jake goes for the tag, Alex jumps off the apron and hits the ringside floor.)
Deadprez: WHAT IN THE WORLD DID WE JUST SEE! JAKE WENT FOR THE TAG AND ALEX WAS HAVING NONE OF IT! ALEX HOPPED OFF THE APRON AND NOW THEY ARE HEADING UP THE RING APRON!
Gavin Kirkland: THAT UNGRATEFUL PUNK! Jake has given everything he could in this match and Alex is being nothing but an ungrateful partner. Jake doesn’t deserve this sort of treatment.
Eve: Are we watching the same match? I don’t know what is brewing between Alex and Jake, but Jake has been shutting out Alex this entire match by avoiding to ever tag in no matter how many times Alex tried.
Deadprez: Alex has had enough of the treatment and they are just leaving. They are fed up with this entire match and now Alex is giving Jake a taste of his own medicine.

Gina Romano: Ladies and Gentlemen, here are your winners… POTARA!
Deadprez: This was an amazing match and an amazing main event to wrap up another amazing episode of Showdown, but I can’t say that I am surprised about what happened.
Eve: No matter how much hope we held out that Alex and Jake would be able to work together during this match and possibly be a team, it wasn’t meant to be. Can they coexist? Unfortunately, the answer is no.
(The referee raises Holly and Harper’s arms in victory as the crowd gives a mixed but sort of positive reaction from the crowd. The referee drops their arms and POTARA leaves the ring. Meanwhile, Alex is standing at the top of the entrance ramp, watching everything unfold.)
Deadprez: Most of the match, Jake was completely unwilling to help out Alex, but as soon as he needed Alex’s help, Jake got a taste of his own medicine. Turnabout is fair play in this situation.
Eve: Even though they couldn’t get on the same page very often in this match, there were a few times that they were very close to pulling out the victory, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be for Jake and Alex.
Gavin Kirkland: After all was said and done, it was the ability to work together, be a cohesive team, and take slight advantage of the opposition’s inability to work together that brought POTARA the victory tonight.
Eve: With tonight’s victory, Holly and Harper have some much desired momentum going into Grand Rampage when they take on Soul Food Sunday for the Unified Tag Team Championships. Once again we offer our congratulations to POTARA on the victory.
(Jake is finally sitting up in the ring and he is looking straight up the entrance ramp at Alex Myers and you can easily see the fire shooting from Jake’s eyes.)
Deadprez: Look at Jake’s eyes. He is not happy at all. He is almost to the point of rage. What a match this is going to be at Grand Rampage. Alex Myers and Jake Smith are not going to hold back. They are going to unleash anger and rage against each other all for the EAW Answers World Championship. Unfortunately, we are out of time for tonight.
