( RECAP – After the usual Showdown recap video, Showdown is opened with ARIA defeating Senator Casper via roll-up. After commercial break, it goes to Hurricane Hawk conversing with the Ice Aces. Hurricane Hawk grants Ayu Megumi a spot in the Universal Women’s Championship Extreme Elimination Chamber, while also giving an opportunity for Usagi Senshi to prove herself against the champion herself, Ms. Extreme. Next up, Pandora Paisley assumes guest commentator over Roberto De La Rosa versus Abel Atami. Just as the match was getting going, Paisley gave Rosa the disqualification victory by kicking him in the groin. At backstage, Ronan Malosi introduces Mr. Alimony, Weston Scott, and Ashton Hale to Hurricane Hawk. Malosi gives him his demands, but Hawk rips his papers right in front of his face. This aggravates Ronan, and it offends him even more to learn that Donovan Duke will be joining Showdown. Duke makes a proposition; drop the lawsuit against Hawk and he’ll put his 24/7 Contract up for grabs at Road To Redemption. Malosi agrees, making another Road To Redemption match official. Impact and Amir Yusuf square off with Impact using the Liontamer to get a victory over the New Breed Champion. Limmy Monaghan joins the commentary booth to have the best seat in the house to Lethal Consequences vs. TLA. A Pain For Pride feud is renewed, with TLA able to put him away in quicker fashion. Monaghan is obviously disappointed by LC’s lackadaisical efforts tonight, but he is interrupted on commentary with a crowbar to the back of the head by an unknown entity. It is revealed to be by Dynasty’s Sierra, which implies that Monaghan has yet another person on his tail. After the shocking attack, Kyra Phillips interviews Harper Lee a week after Miku Sakai attacked her. Harper Lee intends to leave Road To Redemption as the champion. Another Showdown-Voltage match goes down between Rebecca Blackwell and Kassidy Heart. Blackwell is able to give the world champion a great performance, but her abilities is not enough as she taps out to her cross armbreaker. Kassidy Heart gets a dominant victory tonight and it transitions to Hurricane Hawk backstage. Hawk has forced all of the Answers World Championship Extreme Elimination Chamber participants to watch the main event in a room together. Everyone argues with each other for a couple of minutes before the last entrant is settled in the main event. Jonny Airhart, Charlie Marr, and Jon Kelton compete for this spot. Charlie Marr is able to be in the right place, right time and gets his entrant into the Extreme Elimination Chamber to end the show.)
( The recap video fades to black, and it opens up to an extremely hyped atmosphere in the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. “Brick Wall” by A Day To Remember mixes with the loud cheers that is further amplified by the blue-tinted pyrotechnics shooting up and down on the stage. “WE WRESTLE” chants reverberate throughout the arena after the fireworks cease. The camera continues to fade between various sections of the venue before it transitions to the commentators.)

Eve: WE ARE TWO WEEKS REMOVED FROM ROAD TO REDEMPTION AND AS WE INCH TOWARDS THE ANNUAL SUPERSHOW, TENSIONS CONTINUE TO RISE AMONGST THE SHOWDOWN ELITISTS!! WE NOW KNOW THAT DONOVAN DUKE WILL PUT HIS 24/7 CONTRACT UP ON THE LINE AGAINST RONAN MALOSI, AYU MEGUMI WILL BE IN THE UNIVERSAL WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP EXTREME ELIMINATION CHAMBER, AND CHARLIE MARR WILL BE IN THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ONE ASWELL!!

Deadprez: We have a blockbuster six-man tag team match, Malosi squares off against the green Oliver Taylor, Ms. Extreme faces one-half of the Ice Aces through Ayu Megumi, Insurgency reunites with Monaghan versus Duke, and the New Breed Championship is on the line with Amir Yusuf squaring off against Jon Kelton! We have a preview, as always, of our world championship chamber with the unlikely duos of Nikolas and Lucas, facing off against Charlie Marr and Impact with TLA and Kassidy Heart at ringside. SO, LET’S GET THIS SHOW STARTED! WAIT! WE HAVE SOME COMMOTION IN THE BACK!
(The scene backstage opens with Abel Atami in the face of Pandora Paisley, both of in an obviously heated discussion. Both are making their thoughts clear after what has transpired over the last few weeks.)
Abel Atami: I was merely preaching the message, the message that only I can!
Pandora Paisley: Yeah, well I got a message for you. Stop being such a tosser!
Abel Atami: It would help immensely if you spoke English, perhaps then we wouldn’t have this misunderstanding.
(Pandora jabs Abel in the chest with her finger.)
Pandora Paisley: You don’t get me? OK, I’ll give it to you differently, stop being such a wanker. Better?
(Both hear laughing from an out of camera shot, which pans backwards to reveal Roberto De La Rosa.)
Pandora Paisley: Well, if it isn’t another prick, come to flap your gums as well?
Roberto De La Rosa: I think I have shown over the past couple of weeks that I don’t just ‘flap my gums’. Hablar con la boca sin sentiment! My victories over you both have shown my superiority.
Abel Atami: You won solely because of HER sticking her nose in my business.
Pandora Paisley: Do you always speak Spanglish, Bobby?
Roberto De La Rosa: MI NOMBRE IS ROBERTO!
Pandora Paisley: Right… and Abe? Err, you started it mate, I had this idiot beat.
(Abel scornfully shakes his head, motioning with his hand for her to go away.)
Roberto De La Rosa: You both must realize that regardless of this ‘thing’ you two have going, I would still have emerged with the victory, la Victoria is mio. Nothing you two did changed that.
Pandora Paisley: Mate, Gavin Kirkland knows I had you finished if it wasn’t for this lard arse. And Gavin is the best announcer in this place.
Abel Atami: Ah, again she results in childish insults as she is unable to engage in an adult conversation. The only person hard done by this past few weeks is the Samoan Mamba…
(Pandora puts a hand over her mouth to stop her from laughing, Roberto just grins.)
Abel Atami: What?
Pandora Paisley: Samoan Mamba? You realize how much of a plonker that makes you sound right? Even if you did have a ‘message’ that learn from, you expect people to listen with a name like that.
Roberto De la Rosa: Cannot argue with that carnal.
Pandora Paisley: See, even Bobby the vato loco here gets it. You’re just a big fat wanker with an ego complex that needs bringing down to size. I hear Keto works; you should try it mate.
Roberto De La Rosa: Bobby, min nombre is…?
Pandora Paisley: Yeah, yeah RO-BER-TO. I prefer Bobby Taco, that’s you.
(The three then start squabbling some more as they try to make themselves heard, none of them aware of Senator Casper and his entourage working down the corridor towards them. Casper stops, and listens for a while, shaking his head in disgust.)
Senator Casper: You see my friends, this is present day America!
(The three-stop arguing and turn to face him.)
Abel Atami: Carry on walking, this doesn’t concern you.
Pandora Paisley: That’s just about the most sensible thing you’ve said mate.
Roberto De la Rosa: I may not like these two, but for once we are in agreement. You should keep going, this is none of your business, MAGA pendejo.
Senator Casper: What, three individuals squabbling like children over matters of very little concern? When we are talking about the future of the Institution, then this becomes my business. America is on the brink of civil war…
(Pandora brings her hand up to her mouth covering up a mock yawn.)
Senator Casper: Oh, and you can scoff, but it is people just like the three of you that is poisoning that which I hold dear. I can do something about that, and if the three of you don’t desist, then I shall.
Pandora Paisley: And you think your pecker headed army stood with you will stop us?
Senator Casper: I’m sorry, I don’t understand
Abel Atami: I have that problem too.
Roberto De la Rosa: I think what she is saying is that if we have our problems, they are OUR problems and not yours, cabron.
Pandora Paisley: Yep, Bobby’s on the ball again.
Senator Casper: I disagree wholeheartedly
Abel Atami: Then, it seems that you are yet another who needs to witness my message.
Pandora Paisley: Only message you send sunshine is to eat healthy or end up like you.
Abel Atami: Be careful little girl, I’d hate to snap you in half.
Pandora Paisley: Promises, Promises.
(ARIA walks into the picture, having heard the commotion.)
ARIA: Will you all keep the noise down? It’s hard to concentrate.
(Senator Casper looks her up and down.)
Senator Casper: Ah, another example of the problems that have beset the United States. The Detective.
Pandora Paisley: Hey love, bet you can detect this dickhead’s bullshit, can’t you?
(ARIA laughs)
ARIA: I know it would be better for everyone if he disappeared like the previous administration.
Senator Casper: I think you will find I would be more than difficult to depose.
ARIA: Thanks for the warning, but I reckon I can give it a go.
(Usagi Senshi then appears, nodding her head having heard Aria’s comments.)
Usagi Senshi: You talking of ‘saving’ America and world domination only brings one thing to my mind. Dominating your forehead with the sole of my boot. This is a wrestling company, not something to be used as a ‘tool’.
ARIA: She isn’t lying.
Pandora Paisley: Anyone know where Beth Blue is, I need to get checked out. I’m agreeing with too many people this evening.
Roberto De la Rosa: Indeed, get yourself checked out. Does the Good Doctor have an STD clinic as well?
Pandora Paisley: Whoa, that’s going too far mate. I thought I liked you Bob.
Abel Atami: Roberto has just realized whose team he is on.
ARIA: That right, well how about we sort this here and now.
Usagi Senshi: No issues here.
Pandora Paisley: Preach Sisters…
Senator Casper: Yes, how civilized you all are.
Voice: Stop it! Just Stop It! This WILL be settled in Australia, damn it!
(Hurricane Hawk storms into shot, right in the middle of the argument.)
Hurricane Hawk: I don’t know what the problem is here, and I’m getting tired of saying it, but this is a WRESTLING show. You all have a match to open the show, and you WILL ALL be civil and ONLY take care of business in the ring.
Pandora Paisley: Alright mate, keep your knickers on.
Roberto De La Rosa: I bet they are lace… muy bonito y rosado.
Hurricane Hawk: You do this, and this can all be settled in Australia… and for doing as you are told tonight, you will all be in a match with a Unique Opportunity on the line. Go into business for yourself, step out of line again, and you will be taking out of the match at An Aussie Summer Christmas Spectacular. Am I clear?
(They all nod)
Hurricane Hawk: Good, now get out there and compete, and no more crap… please.
(Hurricane Hawk marches off, and no sooner is he out of shot, they start to bicker again, but we hear him shout over his shoulder.)
Hurricane Hawk: ERRR???
(They stop and disperse, as we fade to the ring….)
(The camera cuts to Gina Romano in the ring.)
Gina Romano: THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS SCHEDULED FOR…ONE FALL!!
(The crowd reaction turns to cheers as the newcomer in Usagi Senshi comes out first with “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis” by Yoko Takahashi blaring in the background, but once making it to the stage, it’s soon cut off with ‘DESTINY’ by Saori Yoshida, playing out ARIA, who high-fives Usagi, “Downfall” by TRUSTcompany plays out Pandora Paisley next, who ignores a high-five from ARIA, opting to make her way down to the ring focused.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first! At a combined weight of 393 pounds…THE TEAM OF ARIA, PANDORA PAISLEY, AND USAGI SENSHI!!
Gavin Kirkland: EVE! DEADPREZ!! GET THE JERKINS!!!
Eve + Deadprez: :francis:
Gavin Kirkland: LOOK AT THESE FINE WOMEN!
Eve: While being beautiful, they’re equally great athletes, atleast I’m told in the case of Usagi Senshi, who makes her in ring debut tonight.
Deadprez: And hopefully a successful one as nobody wants to lose their first night in.
(‘Madness” by KSI plays down Abel Atami, who gestures having his eyes on Pandora, but out comes Roberto De La Rosa with ‘Ser Real’ by Oscar Cortez Ft. T3R Elemento in the background, reluctantly shaking hands with Atami before ‘Hail to the Chief plays out the obnoxious Senator Casper, who shakes hands with both of his partners before the trio head down to the ring together.)
Gina Romano: And their opponent! Weighing in at a combined weight of 797 pounds…THE TEAM OF ROBERTO DE LA ROSA, ABEL ATAMI, AND SENATOR CASPER!!!
Eve: You can see Roberto and Abel shaking hands, albeit reluctantly, perhaps they’re gonna put their feelings aside for just one night.
Deadprez: I highly doubt it, these two are ticking time bombs waiting to burst, one wrong move, and I imagine things won’t be swimmingly for them.
Eve: Only time will tell, but they have all the tools to work as a unit for the victory, I mean, you heard the weight difference between these two teams, this one clearly having a size, and power advantage.
(The referee signals to the bell as Roberto, after slight bickering with Abel, is gonna start things off for his team. Meanwhile, ARIA will start things off for hers.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Eve: The bell has rung, and this six-person tag is underway with ARIA, and Roberto De La Rosa starting things off here as the two lockup in the center of the ring, Roberto quickly gaining the advantage with a standing side headlock, however, that doesn’t last for long as ARIA rebounds Roberto off the ropes to escape! BUT ROBERTO COMES BACK WITH A SHOULDER TACKLE, taking ARIA down, that shoulder tackle having so much force, she managed to roll through to one knee, rubbing the back of her neck.
Deadprez: Roberto seems quite proud of himself following that as ARIA stands herself back up, and the two lock up once more, again, Roberto gaining the advantage with a standing side headlock, ARIA’s gonna do what did her well last time in terms of escaping, bouncing the bigger opponent off the ropes, but this time, Roberto doesn’t get to pop off that shoulder tackle as ARIA drops down, forcing him to leapfrog over, and run off the ropes a second time! RIGHT INTO A DROPKICK! That one caught Roberto flush, which you can see as he clutches at his nose.
Eve: ARIA takes full advantage of this, grabbing Roberto in a front facelock to bring him over to her corner where she makes the tag over to Usagi!

Eve: Usagi now the legal woman as ARIA snapmares De La Rosa to a seated position, leaving him over to a SUPERKICK TO THE SIDE OF THE FACE FROM SENSHI! ROBERTO FALLS FLAT TO THE MAT AS USAGI MOVES IN FOR THE COVER!

Eve: Oh, kickout by Roberto, who gets stood up by Usagi, who slams him face first into the top turnbuckle, AND NOW IS GONNA HAMMER HIM WITH RAPID FIRE HEADBUTTS AS HE REMAINS TRAPPED BETWEEN HER AND THE CORNER! However, eventually manages to shove Usagi back for some slight separation, BUT THAT DOESNT LAST LONG AS SENSHI’S IMMEDIATELY FIRING BACK WITH A RUNNING JUMPING FOREARM SMASH IN THAT CORNER, STUNNING ROBERTO LONG ENOUGH TO BE IRISH WHIPPED INTO THE OPPOSITE CORNER! SENSHI CHARGES IN- OH! ROBERTO GETS THE BOOT UP, SPINNING USAGI AROUND AS SHE REMAINS DOUBLED OVER IN THE CENTER OF THE RING!
Deadprez: Roberto sees this as the perfect time to make a tag out over to Casper!

Deadprez: The Senator’s in, but he might be regretting that fact as Usagi caught him with a stiff elbow smash while he was winding up for a punch it looked like! USAGI BARRELS TOWARDS CASPER, WHO THROWS A CLOTHESLINE ATTEMPT, ONLY FOR IT TO BE DUCKED UNDERNEATH AS THE MOMENTUM OF SENSHI KEEPS ROLLING WHEN SHE REBOUNDS OFF THE ROPES! CASPER TURNS AROUND TO GET TAKEN OFF HIS FEET WITH A FLYING FOREARM SMASH! That looks to have knocked Casper a bit loopy as he pulls himself up in the opposite teams corner, and he’s no man’s land right about now as Senshi makes the tag out to ARIA.

Gavin Kirkland: The fine piece of ass that is ARIA comes back into this match, and we see another double team maneuver from Usagi and ARIA as Senshi whipped her partner into the same corner Casper’s in, ARIA CATCHING HIM WITH A JUMPING BACK ELBOW! Forget about the ring, I wish these two would double team me in the bedroom. :mjlit:
Eve: :francis: Anyways…ARIA quickly tags out to Pandora Paisley, who has yet to get in on the action. ARIA holds Casper in a Suplex position, perhaps wanting a double team Suplex with Pandora…who shows to have no interest, pulling Casper away, and beginning to nail him with kicks and punches, one punch which winds up knocking Casper back into his corner, and seated Senator tags out to Abel!

Deadprez: Abel Atami’s in this match for the first time tonight, and we know both him and Paisley don’t like each other in the slightest as they meet in the middle of the ring. HUGE CLOTHESLINE ATTEMPT FROM ABEL- PAISLEY DUCKS UNDERNEATH IT, CATCHING ATAMI WITH A KNIFE EDGE CHOP AS HE SPINS AROUND! ALTHOUGH, ABEL SHRUGS IT OFF TO BIEL PANDORA IN THE CORNER! ALTHOUGH, PAISLEY QUICKLY COMES BACK OUT WITH A STEP-UP ENZIGURI! ABEL REMAINS ON HIS FEET THOUGH, ALBEIT BARELY AS HES ON WOBBLY LEGS!
Eve: OR IS HE AS ABEL CATCHES PANDORA OFF GUARD WITH A BOOT TO THE JAW, AND NOW SHES THE ONE ON WOBBLY LEGS AS ABEL RUNS OFF THE ROPES! BUT RUNS RIGHT INTO A HURRICANRANA FROM PAISLEY, PANDORA HOOKING THE LEG OF ATAMI FOLLOWING THAT!

Eve: Almost had him as Paisley tags out to Usagi while Abel looks to recover on the mat!

Deadprez: Paisley may not be the most eager to work with these two, but she’s smart, and knows she needs the others to help her in winning this match, which might be why she’s working off some sort of plan here, the trio continuously tagging out to one another. This may be something unspoken, or planned behind the scenes, but regardless, they seem to be finding their groove quicker than the opposite team as Usagi climbs to the top rope, lining Abel up for a- guess we’ll never find out as Abel rushed towards Senshi on that top turnbuckle, forcing her to leap over, and roll through to her feet. Abel turns around, RUNNING FULL STEAM AHEAD TOWARDS SENSHI, LOOKING PROPERLY FRUSTRATED RIGHT ABOUT NOW, BUT IT’LL ONLY GROW AS USAGI SIDESTEPPED WHATEVER HE HAD PLANNED, SENDING HIM OUT THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE!
Eve: ABEL MANAGES TO LAND ON HIS FEET, BUT IS KNOCKED RIGHT OFF OF THEM WITH A SUICIDE DIVE FROM SENSHI! USAGI ROLLS ABEL BACK INTO THE RING, BUT BEFORE SHE CAN GET IN THERE HERSELF, CASPER LOOKS TO PROVIDE SOME INTERFERENCE, RUSHING HER ON THE OUTSIDE, ONLY TO EAT A KICK TO THE MIDSECTION FOR HIS TROUBLES, USAGI BOUNCING HIM FACE FIRST OFF THE APRON AFTERWARDS! CASPER HEADS TO HIGHER GROUND NOW, ALLOWING USAGI TO CLIMB UP ON THE APRON!
Deadprez: BUT ROBERTO LOOKS AS IF HE WANTS TO TRY SOMETHING HIMSELF, CAUSING TO SENSHI TO TURN HER ATTENTION TOWARDS HIM ON THAT APRON, STOPPING ANY ATTEMPT AT FOUL PLAY DEAD IN ITS TRACKS! BUT ABEL ATAMI WITH A RUNNING FOREARM SMASH TO THE SIDE OF USAGI’S HEAD, KNOCKING HER OFF THE APRON AND FACE FIRST INTO THE BARRICADE AS SHE TUMBLES OVER ON THE OUTSIDE!
Gavin Kirkland: That’s why you don’t take your eyes off ANY of these men for just one second.
Eve: You got that right, Gavin, AS NOW BOTH CASPER AND ROBERTO PUT THE BOOTS TO SENSHI ON THE OUTSIDE WHILE THE REF ATTEMPTS TO HOLD BACK ATAMI INSIDE THE RING, NOT REALIZING WHATS GOING ON BEHIND HIS BACK! But it’s too late once he does finally around as both Roberto and Casper go back onto their apron’s like nothing even happened, allowing Abel to pick the bones on the outside, hoisting Usagi up onto his shoulder, and dropping her throat-first across the top half of the barricade! Senshi is gasping for air as Atami rolls her back into the ring, and the prone Usagi is seen reaching out to her corner, which remains far away as she’s the opposite, AND JUST GOT SQUISHED UNDERNEATH ELBOW ABEL ATAMI, THAT ELBOW DROP LANDING RIGHT ON THE BACK OF HER HEAD!
Deadprez: Abel lifts the groggy Usagi up with a front facelock, holding her in it as he tags out to Casper.
**TAG!!**
Deadprez: The Senator is once again in as he lands a kick to the rib cage of Usagi while Abel was still holding her up. Usagi drops down to both knees, but Casper stands her up to drive her back first into the corner, LANDING PUNCHES, ALONG WITH KICKS TO THE GUT! USAGI SINKS DOWN TO A SEATED POSITION IN THAT CORNER, LEAVING ROOM FOR THE DISRESPECTFUL CASPER TO PRESS HER BOOT UP AGAINST HER FACE! The referee having to intervene with a five count!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FI-
Eve: Casper using all of the time he could, pulling Usagi out of that corner now for a snap Suplex in the center of the ring, floating over into the cover.

Eve: Kickout, but Casper continues on, standing Usagi back up, and tossing her through the middle rope, to the outside before going into enemy‘s territory, AND PIE FACING ARIA ON THE APRON! ARIA isn’t gonna look to stand for this disrespect, and tries to enter the ring, almost forgetting that she’s not the legal woman, which the referee has to remind her off. BUT ONCE AGAIN, WHILE HIS BACK IS TURNED, ROBERTO AND ABEL ARE STOMPING A MUDHOLE INTO SENSHI ON THE OUTSIDE! The smug smile crossing on the face of Casper, who heads to the outside, standing the currently worn and torn Usagi up for a straight right hand to the face before rolling her back into the ring.
Deadprez: Casper follows himself, and tags out to Roberto once he’s in it.

Deadprez: Tag is made, but Casper hasn’t left just yet, propping Senshi up for a KICK TO THE ABDOMEN! Usagi falls to one knees, BUT ROBERTO CRACKS HER IN THE HEAD WITH A BIG BOOT, SENDING HER DOWN TO THE MAT! De La Rosa’s gonna try to pull her up to inflict some more punishment now, BUT ONCE DOING SO, USAGI BREAKS FREE FROM HIS CLUTCHES WITH EUROPEAN UPPERCUTS! BUT ROBERTO IS QUICK TO CUT THIS RALLY OFF WITH A KNEE TO THE GUT! AND SMART MOVE FROM ROBERTO, WHO CHARGES INTO USAGI’S CORNER TO KNOCK OFF BOTH PAISLEY AND ARIA!
Gavin Kirkland: BOO! I’m glad said plan isn’t so smart now as he turned around to land a kick to the abdomen, only for Usagi to catch, and turn it into a HEEL HOOK!
Eve: Abel goes in to break it up, but the official cuts him off the corner, BUT THIS WORKS OUT MASTERFULLY FOR THEM ONCE MORE, THE OFFICIAL HAVING HIS BACK TURNED TO CASPER, WHO SLID UNDERNEATH THE BOTTOM ROPE TO RAKE THE EYES OF USAGI, FREEING ROBERTO OF THAT SUBMISSION HOLD! De La Rosa breathes a sigh of relief before grabbing onto the head of a blinded Usagi, and slamming her face first into the top turnbuckle in his corner, tagging out to Abel Atami!

Eve: What a match this was for everybody involved, each having their moments when it looked like this thing could’ve been put away right then and there.

(The camera fades elsewhere with a shot of ARIA, and Usagi heading up the ramp.)
(We cut to the back where Kyra Phillips is stood, microphone in hand)
Kyra Phillips: Ladies and Gentlemen, my guest at this time… and challenger for the New Breed Championship this evening, Jon Kelton.
(Jon steps into shot, all business.)
Kyra Phillips: Thank you for your time Jon.
Jon Kelton: It’s my pleasure Kyra.
Kyra Phillips: Jon, tonight you face one of EAW’s most promising young stars Amir Yusef, with the New bred Championship on the line. Might be a predictable question but how are you feeling?
Jon Kelton: Predictable maybe, but a fair question none the less.
(He pauses for a moment, taking his eyes from Kyra and then to the floor, before bringing his gaze back.)
Jon Kelton: To answer Kyra, I’m tired. Yeah, that’s right, I’m tired of being the guy who gets so damn close and ends up failing. I no longer want to be the nearly man of EAW. Let’s look at the recent evidence, facing Adam Lucas when he was the Hardcore Champion and coming up short, when I matched him shot for shot. The triple threat to claim a place in the Extreme Elimination Chamber, a match that I somehow managed to lose from the brink of victory. I could count tens, upon tens… opportunities that I have squandered to prove that I am everything I am I am, a true Elitist in every sense of the word. Yeah, that about sums it up Kyra… tired. Tired of failure.
Kyra Phillips: And why is putting that right so important to you?
Jon Kelton: That’s an easy question to answer Kyra. Ever since I was a young man making my first steps in this industry the only thing, I have ever dreamt about is being a champion, someone seen as the best in their field. For months now, perhaps even years, I have known that I am ready to step up. To represent this company and become a champion in the EAW and take on the legacy that goes with being one. You’ve heard them Kyra, as I have. In the locker room claiming that I’m not good enough and that I don’t have what it takes. And you know the worst bit about all of that?
(Kyra shakes her head.)
Jon Kelton: I’m the one that is responsible. I’ve given them no reason but to say anything otherwise. Well Kyra, that all stops. And it stops tonight. When I become the New Breed Champion.
Kyra Phillips: Going back to last week, and the match to decide the sixth entrant in the Chamber, why do YOU believe you came up short?
Jon Kelton: It’s like I said during this week Kyra. Week after week, after week I show that I am better than every opponent that I face.
(He taps his temple.)
Jon Kelton: The problem isn’t with my ability, it’s up here where I seem to self-implode before I can get myself over the line.
Kyra Phillips: How do you mean?
Jon Kelton: Well, Charlie Marr didn’t beat me last week no matter how much he may claim he did. I beat myself. I constantly beat myself whenever there is glory on the line. Tonight, I face Amir Yusef who I accept is an extremely talented guy, and one with a real future in this company. He’s part of a, pardon the pun, new breed of wrestler we have seen over the last year or so, who will continue to build the fine reputation of our company. But is Amir Yusef better than me?
(Kyra shrugs, remaining impartial as she should.)
Jon Kelton: No, he isn’t. And although I am upset about last week, and although in the fallout of that match I felt the same humility I did in the Chamber and every other time I’ve come up short, I can’t let myself worry about it anymore. I must take a leaf out of those that do succeed off the back of adversity and put it behind me and look forward.
Kyra Phillips: And is it that positivity that is different this time around?
Jon Kelton: That’s right. Brass tacks Kyra, I can’t keep losing to people that I should be defeating. I’ve GOT to look forwards and not backwards, whilst starting to pay back those fans out there that have stuck by me over the course of this decade. Believe me Kyra, I know what it’s like to be a Jon Kelton fan. To get so close, and then feel that familiar despair. It’s about time I put a smile on their faces. It’s about time I put a smile on my face.
Kyra Phillips: And winning the New Breed Championship will do that?
(Kelton smiles, nodding his head.)
Jon Kelton: Well, it can’t hurt can it?
Kyra Phillips: I guess not and I’ve no doubt it would be a huge weight off your shoulders
Jon Kelton: Of course. Look at it this way Kyra, I know full well that people are going to be watching this match and expecting me to fall flat on my face.
Kyra Phillips: Not everyone
Jon Kelton: Perhaps, but I’m aware of what Amir Yusef has done in such a short space of time and that all the momentum sits in his corner, and that he is an extremely talented guy.
Kyra Phillips: Sounds like there is a lot of respect there
Jon Kelton: There is, but you see, that’s what makes all this so special for me. I know that even with nearly a decade more experience I’m expected to lose, so imagine the impact when I don’t. Imagine that buzz when I stand in the ring with the New Breed title held aloft. Imagine the surprise, the shock on people’s faces when I become champion. They will be shocked, heck even Amir may be shocked after the last time we faced each other. But you know one guy who won’t be surprised?
Kyra Phillips: Who?
Jon Kelton: That will be the guy standing in front of you right now, that knew all along that this time would come. I’ve been the ‘Chosen One’ since I first stepped foot in EAW, and yet since I came back to this company after winning the 24/7 contract, success has been a slippery, elusive animal that I’ve not been able to grasp. But that ends, it ends tonight Kyra. When FINALLY, I wrap a shiny belt around my waist, and make good on that heartache that my fans have endured.”
(A roar comes from the arena, and Jon pauses, listening to that noise as a smile forms on his face.)
Jon Kelton: I’m sorry Amir, I have to do this. I have no issue with you, nor should there be an issue, you just have something I want. Console yourself knowing that there are still great things in your future. Be happy that your very first title reign will stand you in good stead for the rest of this season. You’re a good kid Amir, make sure you stay that way.
(Again, another roar comes from the arena and this brings about a show of emotion, a look of pure passion etched on Jon’s face.)
Jon Kelton: But know, that this IS happening. I can’t mess this up again. I won’t.
Kyra Phillips: Jon, thank you for your time, and good luck.
Jon Kelton: Thank you Kyra.
(Jon walks off as she nods, fading into a commercial break of Road To Redemption.)
(The camera fades back in from commercial and pans to Gina Romano as she has the mic in hand to call the next match.)

(As Oliver Taylor gets in the ring and poses, his theme dies down and is replaced by ‘Mo Money’ by Ben McLusky as the crowd starts to boo. Ronan Malosi comes out accompanied by The Dogs of War, Westin Scott, and Ashton Hale…)
Gina Romano: His opponent, residing in Palm Springs, FL.! Weighing in at 285 pounds! Accompanied to the ring by the Dogs of War! “THE MILLION DOLLAR MEGASTAR…. RONAN MALOSI!!!!!
(Ronan with a huge smile on his face walks down to the ring, flanked by his muscle who stay outside, and they look on as Ronan gets in and he poses, then turns to Taylor and actually laugh while standing across from him.)
Deadprez: And there is Ronan Malosi, ready to take on Taylor, cocky as ever. He has a huge match coming up at Road to Redemption, and it will be for the 24/7 Championship!
Eve: Ronan has been making a lot of waves recently with Hurricane Hawk too, he has defied him at every turn even trying to sue him Now he gets his chance, but he better not sleep on Taylor.
Gavin Kirkland: He’s rich, he can do whatever he wants.
(The referee checks on both men before calling for the bell and the start of the match.)

OLIVER TAYLOR ALL OVER RONAN BACKING HIM UP TO THE ROPES, WHIPPING HIM ACROSS, AND RUNNING AT HIM WITH A SLING BLADE! RONAN IS DOWN AND HE IS TRYING TO ROLL OUT OF THE RING BUT NO! The Dogs of War slide into the ring, they stand next to Ronan as he asks for a dollar, they hand it to him, and he throws it on the chest of Oliver Taylor in disgust as the referee helps Taylor roll out of the ring and puts the dollar in his pocket.)
Deadprez: BIG Win for Ronan Malosi and Oliver Taylor put up a tremendous fight but Ronan at times dominant was too much. He heads into Road to Redemption and that is massive.
Eve: Ronan has been looking at his best lately, I must admit, since Reasonable Doubt, Ronan has been on fire and this week was no different. Imagine him as 24/7 Champion?

The crowd in the Mohegan Sun Arena is heard cheering loudly at the sight of the Universal Women’s Champion, who is already in her ring gear looking at herself in the mirror. She is strapping the beautiful Universal Women’s Championship around her waist, getting ready for her ‘Extreme Elimination Chamber Preview’ match against Ayu Megumi. Inside the room, Ms. Extreme is focused on straightening her championship, she fails to notice that her older sister, Cameron Ella Ava appears behind her in the reflection as Showdown crowd is unglued for the woman who they haven’t seen since Reasonable Doubt, staring at her younger sister and the championship wrapped around her waist.)
Cameron Ella Ava: Ready for your match, little sister?
(This catches Ms. Extreme off guard, who looks back to Cameron Ella Ava staring at her. Her arms are folded across her chest while Ms. Extreme stares at her sister in a calm demeanor, knowing that she doesn’t have to worry about her.)
Ms. Extreme: I’m always ready.
Cameron Ella Ava: Good to hear.
(It’s just small talk between the two sisters, but Ms. Extreme knows that Cameron Ella Ava is holding back and she was going to get to the bottom of it.)

Ms. Extreme: You don’t want to lose that. At the same time, Cam, I don’t want to lose you. The last time that you intervened in one of Jamie’s battles, it left you so completely broken. Backstage after the match, when Jamie went to embrace you and you just left him standing there, that’s when I knew that the months of fighting for him, tore you apart to the point where you needed to seek therapy and it made my blood completely boil to see him just go on with his career and pursue for the Answers World Championship rather than be there for his wife. I understand that life goes on and some battles aren’t meant to drag on, but whenever I think about that, it pisses me off and the hell that you went through because of him.
(The thought lingers as Ms. Extreme chooses carefully her next words. It’s clear that her and Jamie had always had a complex relationship and with Cameron Ella Ava’s battles with Mr. DEDEDE, it made the dynamic between those two a lot worse than necessary. Even if these two are trying to remain as civil as possible, Ms. Extreme is not at the point, where she would drop everything to defend her brother-in-law, that’s not the relationship that they have. While she maybe loyal to him, she wouldn’t dodge a bullet for him — if that makes sense.)
Cameron Ella Ava: I would rather take the punishment than seeing him get hurt again. That’s love, Camille, something that you won’t be able to experience yourself, if you go down this path.

Ms. Extreme: I wouldn’t be surprised, but it did resonate with me and how awful this business could be. We were all amazed at the spectacle that is wrestling as children and we didn’t expect that spectacle to fall to pieces once we signed to this company and began to see how things worked around here and what went down. This business isn’t for everyone. It’s treated you the worst out of everyone and I just don’t want to see you going down a horrible path again. Since Hathaway was born, you’ve been such a wonderful mother to him and really rebuild yourself to be an unstoppable force. I mean, you ran out Ahren Fournier from the company. You defeated Lethal Consequences from the overrated hack he was and there’s no doubt that you’ll do great against Myles.
Cameron Ella Ava: That’s also something that I am here to talk about — I know how much Myles means to Minerva and how much you and Minerva have been working on having a friendship, but that’s your stuff. I don’t have any strange friendships or allegiances. Just like you argued that the issues with New Eden and what they did to Jamie were my issues, I couldn’t care less about how New Eden feels when I defeat Myles at Road to Redemption. I mean, it’s not like New Eden is going to be anything by the end of this season, anyway.

(Cameron Ella Ava smiles and chuckles on the play on words by Ms. Extreme, who decided to call her ‘big sister,’ much to Cameron calling her ‘little sister’ two weeks ago on Voltage and earlier in this exchange. The environment in the locker room goes a bit calmer.)
Cameron Ella Ava: It’s crossed my mind, so never say never, but as much as you don’t want to see me get hurt, I don’t want to see you get hurt either. I’ve had people walk in and out of my life on so many occasions. A lot of them, who I thought were my friends. Maybe, that’s why I’m hesitant to have friends in this business because I’ve always had an awful judge of character when it comes to them.
Ms. Extreme: Well, it was Sheridan Muller. What did you expect?

Eve: She is one of those Elitists that is always on the cusp, close to some huge victories but hasn’t gotten there yet, she is waiting for that career defining moment, this could be it tonight or at Road to Redemption!

(As Ayu continues to wave toward the fans, her music dies down and it is replaced with “Zpmbie” by Bad Wolves. The crowd starts to boo as Ms. Extreme slowly walks out with the Universal Women’s Championship, looking around with a cool and calm smirk on her face….)
Gina Romano: HER OPPONENT! HAILS FROM CALABASAS, CA.! WEIGHING IN AT 135 POUNDS! THE UNIVERSAL WOMEN’S CHAMPION…. “THE RED QUEEN” MS. EXTREME!!!!
(The boos continue as she walks down the ring slowly, taking her time. She doesn’t pay attention to the fans, instead focusing on the ring before getting in, waiting for the referee to open the ropes for her as she walks to the center of the ring and holds the title in the air while Ayu watches.)
Deadprez: Here is the champion gracing us with her presence here tonight on Showdown! She looks ready and confident to walk into the Chamber and defend her title, which would make history.
Eve: It would and now she faces one of the athletes who will vie to take this from her, in Ayu Megumi!

Eve: Dirty tactics already displayed by the World Champion, and she is not taking any prisoners at all here. A pull of the hair to start the match and we already know where this is going. Camille has had a real attitude change since Voltage’s Wicked Games where she helped New Eden become the General Managers for one month though that is a very strange relationship.
(Ms. Extreme paces with a smile on her face as Ayu gets back up to her feet, tying up again but this time, Ayu tries to get behind Camille, elbow to the face, Ayu let’s go and Camille gets right behind her, and another hair pull this time more vicious. She squats with a smirk on her face glaring at Ayu who backs up to the ropes holding the back of her head.)
Deadprez: She is showing us right now that toying with Ayu is going to take her off the game and you know what? I can’t fault that strategy. Ayu came here to wrestle, Camille is here to showcase why she is the Universal Women’s Champion and right now Ayu can’t figure her out.
Gavin Kirkland: She is back to her feet, circling around and you would think my little Joshi would know by now that you cannot go toe to toe with Camille! As she wants to tie up again and… NO! Ayu gets behind Camille, Elbow, no Ayu ducks and spins Camille around, Northern Lights Suplex on the Champ! She doesn’t go for the pin! The Queen is up, Arm drag by Ayu, and the Queen is back up again and another arm drag by the Ayu and Camille slides under the ring ropes!
(Camille is outside the ring pacing around, she looks at Ayu and waves her finger no, walking over and taking the Universal Women’s Championship as the referee starts the count, Ayu is yelling at the Champ to get back in the ring.)
Eve: The referee has started the count, but Camille is once again playing her games, taking the title, and threatening to leave!

Eve: Camille puts the title back and slides back into the ring, Ayu is right there to greet the champ and Dropkick by Ayu! The quickness of the young Japanese star and Camille is thrown into the turnbuckle! Ayu runs at her, Monkey Flip!…. NO! Camille hangs on to the ropes and Ayu falls hard to the mat! The Champ climbs to the second rope, Elbow to the chest of Ayu but she doesn’t go for a cover, grabbing Ayu hair and slamming the back of her head into the mat repeatedly!
Deadprez: Camille is showing a very vicious side of her right now! The referee though is administering the count right now!

(Camille is against the ropes, Ayu runs at her with a Bronco Buster and hops repeatedly on the Champ. The crowd cheers as Ayu holds her arm but smiles waiting as Camille gets back to her feet, Ayu charges in, she goes for a clothesline, Ms. Extreme ducks….)
Eve: Camille ducks, Ayu turns into a belly-to-belly su… no! Ayu floats over, Camille turns right into Ryo no Ikari! That superkick hit Camille flush in the jaw and the champion staggers, Ayu catches her with a Northern Lights Suplex and this time she holds her down for the cover!

She is repeatedly kicking her down as Ayu can’t even cover up, Camille picks her up, whipping her into the ropes, Clothesline that almost takes her head off!
Deadprez: Now we are seeing the dangerous side of Ms. Extreme! She grabs the arm of Ayu, the one she started working on earlier, holding it down, dropping a knee on her arm! Over and over, before locking in the arm bar! Camille now has Ayu tied down, knee on the side of her head, this is what Camille does best, pick a part of the body and work on it, it is the reason she has become one of the longest reigning Universal Women’s Champion of all time!
(Ms. Extreme wrenches back on the arm, as Ayu screams. Holding the arm bar, driving her knee into the side of Ayu’s head, the relentless champion holds back nothing. The referee tries to check on Ayu and see if she wants to call it quits but Ayu refuses, shaking her head while Camille pulls back even more.)

As we saw last week, Dynasty’s own, Sierra came out of nowhere after the match between Lethal Consequences and TLA that saw La Patera Sexual win in tremendous fashion, but after the match the heinous attack occurred and Sierra not only attacked Lethal Consequences, but she also attacked Limmy Monaghan and Walter Bivens. As we saw yesterday on Dynasty, Sierra was reprimanded by StarrStan and do I have a huge announcement! But before I do, first an update on Lethal Consequences. It seems like he suffered a knee injury, a PCL sprain and MCL tear, the average time for an injury like this is anywhere from 6-8 weeks, so we look forward to seeing Lethal Consequences back really soon!

Deadprez: Limmy Monaghan makes his first in-ring appearance ever since winning the EAW Hardcore Championship at Reasonable Doubt. We all have seen what his match with Adam Lucas incorporated and he has surely given an ample enough amount of time to recover from the minor injuries. However, his first match as the EAW Hardcore Champion will be no walk in the park as he is reunited with his former Insurgency partner through Donovan Duke. Another Voltage-Showdown match tonight and I am excited to see these two fight!
Eve: These two spent a majority of last season as brothers-in-arms, so this is going to be a match between two individuals who know each other inside out. They trained together, so they are going to go pound for pound, move for move, and counter for counter. This is as evenly matched as you can get here on Saturday nights.
Gavin Kirkland: Give me a break! Limmy Monaghan is heads and shoulders better than Donovan Duke! The bell is going to ring and Monaghan is going to whop his ass all over the ring and end it within seconds! That is how good he is!

Deadprez: This match is underway as both former Insurgency stable mates walk around the ring before engaging in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. As we said before, this is going to be an interesting bout as both of these competitors know each other so well. They travelled the road and trained nights with each other, so this is as evenly matched as it can be. Monaghan backs him up in the corner, Duke quickly turns it around and presses him up against the ropes. Duke grabs onto his wrist and Irish whip him towards the other side of the ring. Monaghan uses his power to hold on, retract him and smash his knee into the midsection. Duke grabs his knee, extends it and pulls him in! AN OVERHEAD LEG CAPTURE SUPLEX! Monaghan fights out of it with elbows and pushes him against the ropes. Duke rebounds and walks right into a headlock. As usual, they are not interested in retaliating as they retreat backstage.)

Deadprez: Ronan Malosi’s goons may have not succeeded with their mission, but they surely delivered the message. Donovan Duke and Limmy Monaghan came here to fight, but they show solidarity that we once saw in Insurgency! Ronan Malosi should’ve known what type of property he was encroaching on and he learned that Duke and Monaghan are not to be messed with!
(The final shot is Donovan Duke and Limmy Monaghan shaking hands before going to commercial break.)
(Slowly, the Showdown broadcast fades back in to view after the commercial break, and almost instantly we get a glimpse of the EAW Hardcore Champion, Limmy Monaghan, alongside Walter Bivens. Sweat is pouring down his face, his hair is also flopping into his eyes, and he has a disheveled look to his gear. A knee pad sliding down his leg, and his wrist tape almost completely undone, hanging on by threads. Quite clearly having been through a contest, and even more clearly hurting because of it. Donovan gave him a run for his money. As he lifts the EAW Hardcore Championship over his shoulder, the camera pans back a few steps, to show Kyra Phillips catching up to him.)
Kyra Phillips: Wait, wait up! Limmy! Just a moment of your time?
(Kyra pats him on his shoulder. Walter looks to speak up, however, Limmy keeps him at bay.)
Limmy Monaghan: A moment. Sure.
Kyra Phillips: Well, we’ve heard what Sierra had to say on Dynasty, and I’m sure you have too. As it all started, you had set yourself up to face Lethal Consequences. You prepared yourself for Lethal Consequences, but it has all flipped on its head. Sierra stepped in, with a crowbar, and attacked you from behind after running in through the crowd. I’d like to get your full comments on the matter, not just about the attack, but the fact that this whole situation has changed?
(Limmy Monaghan sighs. It’s very obvious he was looking forward to facing Lethal Consequences, and he was very obviously looking to succeed in that match, yet he didn’t get the chance. He blows the hair out of his face, before completely running his hand through his hair, as he begins to speak up whilst still recovering his breath.)
Limmy Monaghan: As I said not too long ago, I’m fucking disappointed. I am disappointed in Lethal Consequence’s performance, and I am disappointed I didn’t get that huge match at Road To Redemption, which was guaranteed to solidify that my goals were going to happen. More importantly, I’m disappointed that he promised me that I WASN’T hardcore, yet he was. He PROMISED me that he would show me what it really is, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt in my mind, Lethal Consequences has desired to become Champion, but now, he’s left with despair. And not even by me. Because of this, I’m pissed off. I’m upset. I didn’t get my golden opportunity just because someone else wants to go the hardcore route. I don’t get what I crave, because someone wants to brutalize their competition. And that’s all fine, that’s dandy. I can live with that. As a man, as an Elitist, and as a Champion, I can see where she’s coming from, and I respect the desire she has, just as Lethal Consequences had. But as a man with EXPECTATIONS? Those expectations that *fell flat*? I’m beyond disappointed. Just think about it, Kyra. Why wouldn’t I be?
(Limmy Monaghan takes a large sigh, a deep breath, as Kyra Phillips pulls the microphone back towards herself for just a split moment.)
Kyra Phillips: I mean, I get where you’re coming from. It must be a surprise to you that all of this grew into chaos for you, personally, right?
Limmy Monaghan: I’m not surprised at the chaos, I’m surprised that this was the time and place it had occurred. I knew from day one I would have a plethora of Elitists gunning for my back – that’s something you have to accept as a Champion – and I was certainly aware that numerous Elitists wanted what I possess. Ronan Malosi, Oliver Taylor, and now Sierra is just another name thrown into that pile. However, be that as it may, yeah. I’m surprised. I’m surprised I took a crowbar to my back. I’m surprised that, despite looking onward to face Lethal Consequences, I got struck low, and struck from a blind angle, by someone who’s not even on this brand. I’m surprised that everyone wanted what I held two weeks after I won it. But surprise, and unexpectancy, does not equal being unready. Sierra will only have to learn that the hard way.
(Limmy Monaghan says this with a cold tone, however, it’s abundantly clear that he’s not calm about it. It’s clear that he’s closer to actually snapping if anything, given that Sierra had been here not too long ago. This isn’t what he wanted, but it’s necessary for his role as Champion.)
Limmy Monaghan: Not to mention, for Sierra herself, she’s yet to realize she is biting off more than she can chew, and she will certainly fail to see that until the cold, hard feeling of reality dawns on her. I am sure that she thinks she knows what she’s doing, and I must say, she gives off an impressive performance. So much so that she’s even convinced herself. But as we’ve already established, expectancy does not always turn out quite as you’d have hoped. For that reason, she will eventually learn what it does mean. What the difference between expectations and reality is, perhaps, she’ll be reminded of it. Because, Sierra? You should have never done that… not one bit. It won’t be long before you become acutely aware of the mistake you, and only you, have goaded yourself into. You are not ready for this whatsoever, as much as you may be convinced otherwise.
(Shuffling his body, and taking the microphone out of Kyra Phillips’ hand, the Hardcore Champion Limmy Monaghan turns his head for just a moment, to face the camera. With absolute sincerity in his voice, and passion in his eyes, he delivers one last message, perhaps even a warning, to Sierra – to the woman that had entered his territory, and attacked him.)
Limmy Monaghan: Whatever happens… happens.
(Limmy then walks away, and shortly, Walter Bivens follows suit. Kyra Phillips looks on as the Hardcore Champion walks away, before eventually, the camera shot fades elsewhere to ringside.)
(“Last Strike” by Polo G begins to play through the speakers as the crowd has a mixed ovation for Jon Kelton, who walks out with London Zelaya, hyping him up and giving him some advice. Clearly, Jon is listening to the advice, but he is laser-focused for this championship match.)

Gavin Kirkland: There’s a part about Jon Kelton that feels like he’s aware of what exactly what he is doing as he approaches this match. Normally, he wasn’t his cocky self this week or did a great job with creating a balance between that and being a little aware of how much he’s underestimated Amir Yusuf in the past.
Eve: I did notice a bit of that, but it seemed like Amir Yusuf didn’t think anything of it and instead, it seemed like Amir is looking at this as another title defense. Is that a bit of the confidence coming into the play for the champion? Do you think it’s appropriate for him to be the one overlooking Jon Kelton and not the other way around?
Deadprez: It’s an ironic situation to think of, but Amir Yusuf needs to put all of that to the side if he wants to be the one that faces Jay Jerry Johnson next. By the way, welcome to the Showdown commentary booth, Triple J?

Gavin Kirkland: Now, Amir Yusuf is walking into this title defense with little to no momentum on his side as he fell short against Impact last week, but I think that Amir is not letting that get the best of him as he’s focused on being the better wrestler than Jon Kelton tonight. Not only that, but there’s the added pressure of Jay Jerry Johnson on commentary, scouting this match and the man he’ll be facing in the future.
Eve: Amir Yusuf won the title back at Clash of Kingdoms in September. He’s been such a wonderful champion, stepping up to the plate and representing the belt in the best way possible. Each time he steps into the ring, he gives it his entire heart and soul. I mean, it’s difficult to hate this guy.
Deadprez: Amir Yusuf has been able to win the fans over and it’s amazing to see him grow in these past couple of months. I expect amazing things from that kid in 2022, but the question is if he’ll begin that year with that New Breed Championship?

It’s always a treat to get these title defenses on Showdown as we have Amir Yusuf defending his title against Jon Kelton! ‘The Chosen One’ versus ‘The Heart of EAW.’ Now, these two had quite a few things to say to each other this week, but I’m just wondering how that all translates inside the ring.
Gavin Kirkland: The two Elitists are looking for the opening to lock up with each other, but both are being quite careful! We have Amir Yusuf and his speed and agility while we have the technical side of Jon Kelton! AND…THESE TWO LOCK UP, BUT IT’S JON WHO APPLIES THE WAIST LOCK ON THE CHAMPION, WHO GETS JON’S HEAD FROM BEHIND AND APPLIES A HEADLOCK ON HIS CHALLENGER, BUT JON IS TRYING TO LIFT AMIR OFF HIS FEET, BUT AMIR DROPS THEM DOWN BEFORE GETTING ‘THE CHOSEN ONE’ AND TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A HEADLOCK TAKEDOWN! Eve: Jon Kelton is trying to press his knee against the mat as he wraps his arms around the waist of the New Breed Champion! It seems like Jon is attempting to lift Amir off his feet once again! He hoists Amir off his feet and drops him behind him, but Amir lands on his feet as Jon turns around! Amir bolts towards his challenger, but Jon with a hip toss, but Amir is able to land on his feet, before getting a good grasp of Jon Kelton’s arm and connecting with an arm drag! Jon manages to rise back to his feet quickly, but Amir Yusuf charges towards Jon with a dropkick! Jon is sent to the corner as Amir rolls back to his feet, taking a step back before rushing towards ‘The Chosen One’ with a running uppercut! This sends Jon stumbling forward as Amir connects with a snapmare! Jon finds himself in a seated position as Amir rushes towards Jon, hitting him with a penalty kick to the spine!
Deadprez: Amir Yusuf gets Jon Kelton by his arms, stretching them back before pressing his knee against the spine of the challenger! Jon is trying to turn his body to the left, hoping to break free out of this troubling situation, but Amir is pulling back Jon, giving him a bit of a struggle when it comes to doing that! Deadprez: Amir Yusuf backs away to release the hold that he had on Jon Kelton! Jon straightens himself out before going in to lock up with Amir again! Now, it seems like the two men are fighting for control as they are rolling all over the horizontal set of ropes! It seems like Jon won that as he manages to pin Amir back against the ropes! He uses one hand to hold him back against the ropes and as for the other one?

Eve: I think the whole arena heard that, Triple J! Amir Yusuf doesn’t have the opportunity to react to the pain as Jon Kelton gets Amir by his wrist and whips him towards the other set of ropes! Midway, Amir is able to counter the whip, so that it’s Jon that gets sent towards the ropes! Jon is able to stop himself from rebounding off the ropes! The New Breed Champion rushes towards Jon, but Jon lifts him over his head and out of the ring!
Deadprez: Nope! Amir Yusuf manages to land on the apron as he manages to get Jon Kelton by his neck and slingshots him away from those ropes! Jon falls forward as Amir rolls himself back inside the ring! Gavin Kirkland: Amir Yusuf with the kick out as Jon Kelton connects with a leg scissors on the waist of the New Breed Champion! He now begins to apply a sleeper hold, so this is a sleeper hold with a leg scissors on Amir! You can see a bit of struggle on Amir’s face as he knows how troubling of a situation that this is! This move, if gotten out of soon enough, could knock you out. But, I do like the strategy that Jon has been doing in this match which grounding the risktaker and high flyer of the champion! Maybe, this could be a winning formula there?
Jay Jerry Johnson: How many times has someone like Jon Kelton been in this position? I feel like it’s been a couple of times. He’s been someone who has been in multiple championship pictures and it’s probably because he doesn’t know what he truly wants for himself. Me? I want that New Breed Championship. I just arrived on the scene a few months ago and I already have a clear vision and that’s something that separates me from Jon Kelton.
Eve: This year alone, Jon Kelton has been in this position before. He’s gotten championship opportunities, but come shorthanded. Now, there’s no denying his talents, but this competition on Showdown is nothing that we’ve ever seen before! It’s made Jon work a billion times harder to not fly under the radar with some of the new stars that we’ve seen this week alone! At the same time, Amir Yusuf is a man who has been able to win the hearts of the Showdown faithful this season. He came in as a newcomer, but he’s been able to find the success he has faster than a lot of the Elitists from his class. He has raised the standard for himself and the last thing that he can do is lower it.
Jay Jerry Johnson: Amir has put on some wonderful bangers. He’s stepped up to the plate as the New Breed Champion, but I am going to have a blast with stomping on a rising star like him and bringing him down to Earth.

Deadprez: Look at the face of the Triple J over here, I think that we’re all curious to see what happens next. The EAW Universe is on its feet, cheering for Amir Yusuf to get back into this match-up! Meanwhile, you have Jon Kelton, who is doing everything in his damn power to make sure that Amir stays down! But, Amir is trying to roll himself into a crawling position, but Jon is making that quite difficult for him to accomplish! He sees that Amir still has the fighting spirit that has won over the EAW Universe and there’s no way that he stays down! Jon is now trying to drag Amir’s body from the set of ropes! To see Jon just trying to drag Amir by using his legs is quite amazing, but Amir is keeping it up!

Eve: With Jon Kelton’s eyes away from Amir Yusuf for the moment, Amir notices that Jon’s grasp on his waist starts to weaken as he’s able to escape the leg scissors from the challenger! Amir rebounds off those ropes as Jon drops him down with a clothesline, BUT AMIR DUCKS THE CLOTHESLINE BEFORE REBOUNDING OFF THE OTHER SET OF ROPES! Jon hoists Amir up before slamming Amir’s ribs first against the mat! We see that Jon is applying a front headlock on the champion as he’s slowly working his way up to his feet! Amir Yusuf is beginning to punch his way out of the move, but Jon stops him from doing that by connecting with a knee to his ribs, which causes the champion to drop down to one knee! He lifts Amir up to his feet before throwing Amir behind him and closer to the ropes!
Deadprez: Amir Yusuf manages to back away towards the ropes as Jon Kelton charges towards Amir at the corner with a body splash, which almost flattens Amir like a pancake, causing him to stumble forward —
Deadprez: BUT, JON KELTON TRIPS AMIR YUSUF BY HIS ANKLES AND IT SEEMS LIKE HE’S LOOKING TO WRAP THIS MATCHUP AS HE’S LOOKING TO APPLY A CROSSFACE ON THE CHAMPION! THE ‘ETHER’ ON AMIR, WHO QUICKLY GETS ONE OF HIS FEET ON THE BOTTOM ROPE! JON RELEASES THE HOLD THERE AS THE REFEREE SEPARATES JON FROM AMIR! HE GETS A BRIEF SCOWLING FROM THE REFEREE BEFORE HE GOES TO PICK UP AMIR FROM THE GROUND! AMIR DELIVERS A KICK TO THE SIDE OF JON’S LEGS! The punches and kicks are as rapid as hell! Jon is having quite a difficult time with keeping track of all of them, but Amir follows that up with punches to the face of his challenger, which takes him back!

The referee is handing Jon the New Breed Championship as Jon snatches the title before touching his forehead on the cold plate of the title. This a moment between him, the title and the roads and setbacks that he’s had since his return to the company.)
Gina Romano: THE WINNER AND….NEW EAW NEW BREED CHAMPION… ‘THE CHOSEN ONE’…JON KELTON!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: I’m an quite speechless at this moment. There’s no denying how great of a competitor that Jon Kelton is, but I wasn’t ready to see Amir Yusuf’s reign end. :mjcry:
Eve: I am quite speechless because Jon Kelton has been working his ass off since returning back in the company. After having his 24/7 contract taken from him, the highs, lows and multiple opportunities at trying to claim championship gold, he finally did it and made history at the same time by becoming a TWO-TIME New Breed Champion! Jay, how are you doing, right now?
(Jay Jerry Johnson is quite speechless at the title change. He had his sights on facing Amir Yusuf for the title, but to have Jon Kelton take the title from him on Showdown was something that he didn’t expect.)
Jay Jerry Johnson: This is an interesting change of events, right here, but I can dig it. These two Elitists brought everything to the table, but it seems like me and Jon have an important date for the New Breed Championship.
Deadprez: Shoutout to Amir Yusuf, who defended that New Breed Championship with all of his heart. He really held that title to the most honor and respect that anyone could imagine, but Jon Kelton brought it tonight. Whatever clicked tonight was enough to help him win his first championship in about eleven years. Honestly, Amir has barely scratched the surface with his potential. He is going to come back stronger and hopefully, with another championship.
(Amir Yusuf is being helped up to his feet by the referee as Jon Kelton is helped up to his feet by London Zelaya. Amir is still holding onto his ribs, clearly in pain as Jon extends a fist bump toward Amir. Despite the words said to each other, there’s no doubt that these two know that the other is talented and it was truly going to be a battle of who’s the better Elitist. Gavin Kirkland: I understand that Amir Yusuf wasn’t the biggest fan of Jon Kelton, but that was a classy response from the former champion to the new champion. It’s something that you’d expect from him.
(Golf-clapping is heard from Jay Jerry Johnson as he stands up from his chair and makes his way towards the ring. Jon Kelton shifts his attention to Triple J, who stares back at the newly crowned champion, who raises the title up high, more than ready for the fight that will be his first title defense.)

(As the broadcast fades back from commercial break, the camera pans around the arena, showcasing all of the fans in attendance, standing on their feet. However, it doesn’t remain at that angle. The camera fades away, to show TLA – sitting on a chair at ringside, and the fans immediately cheer at the sight of him. TLA grins, before it then fades elsewhere, showing Kassidy Heart. She stands, with the EAW Answers World Championship over her shoulder, as the crowd begins to boo, contrasting to their reaction to TLA. Finally, the camera fades to Gina Romano, standing in the center of the ring, holding an EAW-branded microphone.)

The former Hardcore Champion remains stood at the top of the stage, before slowly making his way down the ramp. He high fives some fans, before climbing onto the apron. His theme, and the camera, fades elsewhere, only to be replaced by ‘Stigmata’ by Grandson. The crowd then respond with a mixed reaction, though given he’s on the proverbial “good team”, the cheers are a lot louder than usual. Theron Nikolas walks through the curtains, as he unzips his jacket, before he poses on the very top of the stage. He too begins to walk down, following his partner.)
Gina Romano: Introducing first… the team of Theron Nikolas, and Adaaaaaam Luuuucaaaaas!!!!
Eve: Both of these men came up short at Reasonable Doubt. Both of these men were defeated in Championship matches. Both of these men are looking to move on with their careers, and compete for the Answers World Championship at Road To Redemption, against the woman not too far away from us. In Adam Lucas’ case, this is a step up in his career. Going from Hardcore Champion to Answers World Champion, that’s what he intends to do. He intends to win that Chamber, and hold the top prize like a true Champion. Whereas, for Theron, he wants to completely rip that opportunity away from everyone else. His record is guaranteed to be broken. And following Reasonable Doubt, there’s no stopping that. All he can do is make sure it ends in vain…
(Adam Lucas and Theron Nikolas meet in the center of the ring, just after Theron Nikolas enters through the ropes, and stare at each other for a moment. They talk for a split second, before Theron decides to wait on the apron. Suddenly, ‘Survivor’s Guilty’ by Dave begins to blare, as the crowd then immediately begin to boo. Charlie Marr and Veena Adams walk through the curtains, embracing that hatred, as Charlie poses on the top of the ramp. He walks down it, not even paying a single shrivel of attention toward the crowd, focused on his opponents. He enters the ring, before ‘M3tamorphosis’ by Playboi Carti hits the speakers. The lights begin to methodically flicker, as Impact walks out through the curtains, eyes closed as per, looking away from the audience. He wastes no time walking down the ramp, not paying anyone any bit of attention.)
Gina Romano: And their opponents… the team of Charlie Marr and IIIIImpact!!!!!!
Eve: And, just like their opponents, these two men came up short too. However, Impact is the only man here not to suffer the fall. Impact was in the same boat as Theron. He was in the same match, as he looked for his #10reignz, but it wasn’t to be. Kassidy Heart overcame the odds that, in many people’s opinions, shouldn’t have been considered odds against her, and she was able to walk out with the title. As for Charlie? He was competing in a spot to BE HERE, in this match, but in good fortune, he was able to get that second chance, and now he could make the most out of it. By winning here, and going on to win Road To Redemption, he could become a 2 time World Champion, with many more accomplishments to follow.
(Impact walks up the steel steps, entering the ring, and as he does so, he places his hand in front of Charlie Marr. He tells Charlie to exit out onto the apron, as his theme fades out, before he walks forward and goes face-to-face with Adam Lucas. He seems calm, collected, taking a deep breath, before he then steps back into his corner…)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Eve: And we are underway! Adam Lucas and Impact starting off this match, and they waste no time getting into action, as they both circle the ring, postured ready for a lock up! Adam swipes his hand, looking to grab Impact, but Impact slaps it away… they move in, and enter a collar-and-elbow tie up! After a short struggle, it’s Adam Lucas who is able to gain control- but not for long, as Impact slides out of a headlock and enters an arm wringer, wearing Adam down!
Deadprez: I assume the second Adam swung his arm, Impact decided to pick a target, as he’s not working on the forearm and elbow as he bends it at a rather bad angle! Adam appears to be in a struggle, especially since Impact stomps on the back of his knee to make him fall down into a kneeling position, allowing him to apply more pressure!
Gavin Kirkland: That pressure doesn’t last for long however, as Adam Lucas begins to stand back up onto his feet, fighting through that pressure with ease! Adam rolls forward, before pushing himself backward onto his shoulder! He kips up to his feet, before inverting the hold and reversing the pressure!
Eve: Adam Lucas now begins to work on Impact’s arm, wearing him down early on, however, Impact appears to be one step ahead every single time! He’s able to slip underneath, before applying pressure once again! Adam instantly holds onto his shoulder, and now Impact strikes, sweeping the leg, and falling down into a headlock!
Deadprez: Wait a second, before he can lock it in, Adam sits up, before transitioning into his very own side headlock! He was able to bait and switch, allowing himself to be the one who remains in control! Not for long, however, as Impact then places his right leg over Adam and locks in a headscissors!
Gavin Kirkland: These two have been back and forth in the mat wrestling game, as neither of them have been able to stay in control for too long, and it will continue for even longer! Adam Lucas is able to kick his way out of the headscissors, before sliding himself up to his feet! He runs at Impact, only for Impact to sweep the leg, and transition into the cover!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Eve: But Adam kicks out pretty quickly! The two roll back up to their feet, this time it’s Impact who runs towards Adam, and Adam sweeps the leg! Adam does exactly what Impact did, and drops into the cover!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Deadprez: But it’s another kick out! Impact starts to recover back up to his feet, only until Adam does as well, and throws a lariat at his head! He almost knocked him clean out, however Impact ducks, before throwing a huge knife edge chop to the bridge in between Adam’s shoulders! That one sounded bad! Adam flinches, before he’s completely spun around! Impact hits another one, and another one, eventually pushing him into the ropes!
Eve: Impact begins to punch Adam Lucas in the head, before he grabs him by the wrist, and irish whips him! He throws a lariat of his own, but this time Adam ducks, and turns around into a huge chop! He lit up Impact’s chest with that one! Adam throws Adam into the corner, before Theron allows himself inside, reaching in!

Gavin Kirkland: With slight hesitance, Theron and Adam switch, as Theron slips through the ropes! He presses his hand over Impact’s chin, before lighting him up with a chop across the chest! Theron then connects with a huge punch that stuns Impact, before he steps away… AND HITS A RUNNING FOREARM! Theron turns and rolls forward, before sprinting back to his opponent… BAM! RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! Theron Nikolas doesn’t stop there, however, as he starts to hit repeated uppercuts, over and over again, perhaps built up rage from their last encounter in a match together, Reasonable Doubt!
(For just a second, the camera flashes to Kassidy Heart, clutching her title, watching this match unfold with a focused face. The camera pans, as Kass remains in the foreground, however TLA is seen in the background.)
Eve: Theron Nikolas finishes his last uppercut, before grabbing Impact’s wrists! He pulls him away from the corner and attempts the ‘Divine Sunderer’ Kamigoye… BUT IMPACT CATCHES THE KNEE! He throws Theron face-first into the middle turnbuckle, before rolling to his feet! Impact connects with a huge running double knees to the back of Theron’s head, effectively stunning him in the corner!
Deadprez: Therein grabs onto the back of his head, not yet unconscious, as Impact grabs him by the belt on his tights, pulling him back up to his feet! Impact connects with a huge back suplex, dropping him right onto his shoulder bridge! The cover!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Gavin Kirkland: But Theron lifts the shoulder up, and pushes Impact away – granted, Imp didn’t hook the leg! Either way, Theron was able to get out of it, and the match continued! Impact gets right back up to his feet, slowly backing up to the corner-

Eve: But Charlie now tags himself in! Charlie Marr slips through the ropes, and he wastes no time going straight after Theron Nikolas at top speed! He runs straight through him and connects with a big boot to the jaw, before kneeling down and hitting a multitude of forearms to the head!
Deadprez: After the fourth, Charlie Marr rolls Theron onto his stomach, before grabbing his tights and pulling him up to his feet! He throws him back into the turnbuckles, now an empty one, before sprinting over to connect with a HUGE running knee lift! Theron appears to be stunned, only for Charlie to make that UNCONSCIOUS, as he grabs him by the wrist and connects with a pull-through Lariat! He covers!

Deadprez: BUT AGAIN! Theron kicks out! Popping the shoulder up, he escapes the cover, and again continues forward! Charlie doesn’t give up, though, going for the Rear Naked Choke-
Eve: Yet Theron is quickly able to stop it! He grabs the back of Charlie’s head and connects with a snapmare, rolling Charlie forward, before he jumps back to his feet! Charlie throws a punch at Theron but he is able to trap it, and spins him straight into a DDT! He gets back up to his feet, and heads to the corner!

Eve: And here comes Adam Lucas! He hops over the top rope, before moving back towards Charlie! He waits for him to get to his knees, before connecting with multiple jabs to the head!
Gavin Kirkland: Charlie, however, doesn’t allow it to keep him down! After every punch he slowly starts to move up onto his feet, before he’s able to catch one of the fists! He returns his punches, before the two begin to trade! Adam! Charlie! Adam! Charlie! Adam! Adam! Adam! Charlie! The two stumble back… BEFORE ADAM GOES FOR A DISCUS PUNCH-
Deadprez: BUT CHARLIE LIFTS HIM UP FOR A SPINEBUSTER-
Eve: ADAM HITS A DDT AT THE SAME TIME! BOTH MEN PLANT INTO THE MAT, HOLDING ONTO WHERE THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED! THAT’S GOTTA HURT FOR THE BOTH OF THEM!
Gavin Kirkland: AND NOW THEIR PARTNERS BEGIN TO REACH OUT FOR THEM, LOOKING TO TAG IN! THERON AND IMPACT APPEAR TO BE READY, AND IT SEEMS CHARLIE IS THE FIRST TO GET MOVING, AFTER ALL, HE WAS ABLE TO HIT A SIGNATURE! CHARLIE REACHES FOR THE TAG-
Eve: BUT ADAM GRABS HIM BY THE ANKLE! CHARLIE ATTEMPTS TO KICK HIM OFF, HOWEVER, IT DOESN’T WORK AND ADAM IS QUICK TO LOCK IN A SHARPSHOOTER! A SIGNATURE MOVE OF HIS OWN, DEALING DAMAGE TO CHARLIE’S BACK! THAT HAS GOT TO HURT, AND IT’LL TAKE A WHOLE LOT FOR CHARLIE TO ESCAPE!
Deadprez: BUT HE’S GOING TO TRY NEVERTHELESS, AS HE STARTS TO CRAWL TOWARDS THE ROPES! ONE BY ONE, HE USES HIS FOREARMS TO PULL HIS OWN *AND* ADAM LUCAS’ BODY MASS IN ORDER TO GRAB THE BOTTOM ROPE, HOWEVER, IT’S NOT THAT SIMPLE! IT’S NOT THAT EASY! ADAM LUCAS ISN’T GOING TO ALLOW THIS! HE STANDS BACK UP, AND BEGINS TO DRAG HIM AWAY FROM THE ROPES, BACK TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING!

Eve: Huh??? Theron Nikolas reaches over the top rope, and tags himself in, which completely confuses Adam Lucas a second time! He’s no longer legal, as Theron Nikolas slips into the ring!
(TLA begins to chuckle on the outside, whereas Kassidy Heart seems confused, even if her cold stare doesn’t show too much emotion. Theron Nikolas approaches Adam.)
Adam Lucas: (off-mic) The hell was that for?
Theron Nikolas: (off-mic) Doesn’t matter. Get him up.
(Adam Lucas stares at Theron Nikolas for a few more seconds, before shrugging, doing as he asked – grabbing Charlie by the beard, and placing him under his arm.)
Eve: Adam Lucas and Theron Nikolas now looking to both connect with a double brain buster, I assume, as the two lift Charlie Marr right off the mat- yet, he starts to kick his feet back down to the ground! He doesn’t allow either of them to connect with that move, and the second he hits the mat, he’s able to spin out and connect with a double arm drag! They both roll to their feet afterward, as Adam throws a lariat- however Charlie ducks! Adam stumbles into the corner! Charlie hits a big boot to Theron, before irish whipping him into the corner-
Deadprez: WAIT, HUH??? THERON NIKOLAS WAS ABLE TO SLIDE UNDERNEATH THE BOTTOM ROPE, AND AS HE DID, HE PLACED IMPACT INTO A POWERBOMB POSITION! HE LANDS ON THE OUTSIDE WITH IMPACT READY FOR A POWERBOMB – BUT WHAT’S THIS??
Gavin Kirkland: INSIDE THE RING, ADAM LUCAS BOUNCES OUT OF THE CORNER, AND DODGES THE ‘CHARING CROSS’ DISCUS LARIAT! HE SPRINTS TO THE ROPES, BEFORE SOARING THROUGH THE SKY… HITTING A SUICIDE DIVE ONTO IMPACT, AT THE SAME TIME AS THERON POWERBOMB HIM RIGHT INTO THE BARRICADE! IMPACT HAS JUST BEEN TAKEN OUT OF THE MATCH, PERHAPS EVEN SENDING CHARLIE INTO A FIGHT FOR HIMSELF!

Eve: Theron Nikolas slides back into the ring, before hitting a boot onto the arm of Charlie’s to counter a punch, before Theron starts to connect with huge forearms to the head! He knocks Charlie to his knees, before bending down, and grabbing the wrist… Oh jeez, Theron now begins to hit huge stomps and kicks to Charlie’s head, wearing him down in the most brutal fashion he can think of right now! WAIT A SECOND!
(Veena Adams hops onto the apron. Kassidy Heart rolls her eyes.)
Deadprez: IT’S VEENA! SHE’S TRYING TO UNBUCKLE THE TOP TURNBUCKLE, AND THE REFEREE CATCHES IT IN THE CORNER OF HIS EYE! HE TURNS AROUND, AND TRIES TO STOP HER, YELLING AT HER AND FORCING HER AWAY! BUT LOOK AT CHARLIE AND THERON! AT CHARLIE! HE QUICKLY POPS BACK UP, BEFORE USING HIS FREE ARM TO CONNECT WITH A HUGE LOW BLOW! THERON NIKOLAS’ GRIP IMMEDIATELY DROPS, AS HE HOLDS ONTO HIS LOW HANGING FRUIT, BEFORE HE THEN DROPS DOWN TO HIS KNEES! THAT WAS A CHEAP SHOT, THERON DIDN’T EXPECT IT!

Deadprez: Adam Lucas is going to fight his way through whatever doubts may exist, as he pushes himself off the mat, alongside Impact! He knows that this is going to be tough, he knows that this is going to be hard to deal with, but he knows he’s not going to give up! He gives Impact a stare before he pushes himself off the mat, a stare that tells a thousand words, a stare that tells him it’s over.
Eve: And that may just be the case! He grabs Impact by the wrist, before he starts to connect with punches to the back of his head! Palm strikes along side it! His hands bouncing off the skull, brutalizing Impact, as he pulls him INTO the damage by lifting him off his feet!
Gavin Kirkland: That is definitely a brutal tactic here, but an effective one! Impact is getting damaged by the second, and that’s only the prelude to something that’s even MORE brutal, something that could very much take him out of the game!
Eve: That’s exactly the truth! Impact is forced up to his feet, before Adam pushes him by the chest… AND HIS WRIST-CLUTCH PULLS HIM INTO AN ELBOW, RIGHT INTO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD! (‘Stigmata’ by Grandson hits the speakers, as Theron slowly begins to roll out of the cover. Kassidy Heart is seen clutching her title, before the camera pans back to the ring – Theron getting to his feet, as Adam Lucas stares at him. The referee raises both of their hands, but neither one of them seems too elated over victory. They don’t have a look of hatred, but there’s nothing pleasant. After all, they are opponents. The second that bell rang, they were no longer team mates. They don’t attack, but it’s quite clear neither of them want their hands raised alongside each other.)
Eve: Does that… does that count as overkill? Adam came SUPER close to beating Impact himself, and the fact he hit a second finishing move? I feel like he could have been the winner right there. But at the very last second, at the very last moment, Theron Nikolas and Adam Lucas combined their efforts, as Theron got the tag, became the legal man, and was able to pin Impact after his own move. The both of them using their best shots to take him out… that’s interesting.
Gavin Kirkland: You’re absolutely right it is. As much as I’m an Adam Lucas connoisseur, they’re going to be opponents in two weeks time, and they won’t have any moment to worry about teaming up, or people sneaking up behind, or whatever. It’ll be every Elitist for themselves, and Adam Lucas probably knows this. Whereas, right now? They were able to put that aside, and use their combined efforts to get the victory. That… that’s pretty good!
Deadprez: That’s pretty well said, Gavin, he’s not here to let other people have their moments, and I’m sure the same goes for Adam. I’m sure Adam too wants that moment for himself, yet still, they were able to dish it all out, and come out on top. They were able to give it their all, and get that victory. Using what Eve said as overkill, combining BOTH of their finishers back to back, after earlier not entirely getting along.
(Theron Nikolas and Adam Lucas go face-to-face in the center of the ring. Not a word is spoken, not a strike is thrown, however, they stare at each other with their intentions being more than obvious with just their expressions. However, this doesn’t last for long. The both of them turn their attention to Kassidy Heart, who is standing on the announce table, looking at all of her challengers. Impact rolls out of the ring, however, Adam, Theron, and TLA all face back at her, and even Charlie is paying attention. Kassidy raises her title up high, standing her own ground, showing she won’t back away, before the Showdown broadcast then fades out to darkness.)
