(EAW intro plays)
(Showdown opens up with a recap of Showdown last week. Milli Banks comes out with Elysium, they run down what has happened to them and what they are planning to do next, with Harper and Donovan coming out later to insult them and belittling them, but that a war has clearly been declared between them all. Cody Maverick defeats Jon Kelton by countout to advance in the King of Elite, thanks to Harper Lee. Kennedy is trying to deal with the problem of roster numbers before Silas arrives, willing to help and Kennedy sadly obliges. Johann Black defeats TJ Alexander. Ruler talks with his fellow druids and Zariah, trying to plan what is his next step. Miku Sakai defeats Skyler Swain, with SOSA running to chase her after the match. Donovan and Harper actually have a heart to heart between each other, willing to actually help each other out if necessary. Donovan Duke then later defeats Ryan Wilson. Alana announces a Fatal Four Way for a N1C at the National Elite Championship. And finally, in the main event, TLA defeats Bronson Daniels after some interferance from Harper and Donovan to advance in the King of Elite.)
(The recap ends, and it is replaced with the song “Brick Wall” by a Day to Remember, as the camera pans around the inside of the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. Fireworks are shooting out of the stage and the whole crowd can be seen cheering and being excited for the show. The camera ends up panning over to the commentary table with Deadprez, Eve and Gavin Kirkland as the commentators start talking.)
Eve: WELCOME EVERYONE… TO SATURDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN!
Gavin Kirkland: WE ARE ONE WEEK AWAY FROM KING OF ELITE! ONE WEEK AWAY FROM CROWNING A KING AND EMPRESS OF ELITE AND FOR CHAOS TO CONTINUE TO HAPPEN IN THIS BRAND! Hopefully it does not, but I do not trust Elitists for that!
Deadprez: Well, we have some matches that will be chaotic in nature either way! We will see SORN go against Skyler Swain, as well as Roberto de la Rosa go up against Johann Black!
Eve: We will also see the Specialists Champion Nikki Kimura face TJ Alexander, as well as the main event! King of Elite Semifinals! TLA versus Cody Maverick!
Gavin Kirkland: LET’S NOT WASTE ANYMORE TIME, LET’S START THE SHOW!!!
(Alana Starr is already in the ring with Gina Romano when “Enemy” by From Ashes to New starts to play throughout the arena. As the crowd stands up and boos. The Answers World Champion slowly walks out with title in hand as he raises his arms in the air.)
Gina Romano: Showdown! Please welcome at this time…. THE ANSWERS WORLD CHAMPION…. DONOVAN DUKE!
(As Donovan makes his way to the ring, the fans continue to boo, he gets to the ring and poses with the title.)
Deadprez: The Devious Debonair is here and he has a huge first title defense against Bronson Daniels in just one week at King of Elite. He knows that Bronson Daniels is ready to take back the gold!
Eve: He is, and Donovan Duke knows that there are so many variables to this match, but we can expect the very best from him, that is for sure, but we will find out how Donovan responds to an already angry and determined, Bronson Daniels.
Gavin Kirkland: He has already proved to be the World Champion on Showdown, at King of Elite Donovan Duke will walk out as champion and silence all doubters.
(Donovan Duke gets into the ring, where he holds up the Championship before sitting at the table and waiting for his opponent to arrive. The music dies down.)
Gina Romano: And his opponent at The King of Elite….. BRONSON DANIELS!
(“My War” by Shinsei Kamattechan starts to play throughout the arena as the crowd pops and cheers, Bronson Daniels wastes no time walking out and high fiving the fans while keeping his eyes right on Donovan Duke.)
Deadprez: Here is the man that will challenge Donovan Duke for the Answers World Championship at The King of Elite and after what happened at Road to Redemption, Bronson’s moment was ruined, and he is looking to get that Championship back!
Gavin Kirkland: You guys keep saying ruined, like Donovan Duke did something wrong, he cashed in like he should have done. Donovan Duke did exactly what that CiTV was made for and all of you are mad because he used it on someone you like, it’s pathetic.
Eve: It’s how it was done Gavin, no one is saying that Donovan didn’t deserve the right to cash in but how it happened is what really has jaded so many people!
(Bronson Daniels gets to the ring and stands on the second rope as the crowd continues to cheer, but he drops down and then stares Donovan down who is not impressed. Alana now takes control.)
Alana Starr: Please Bronson, sit down. We have a contract to sign.
(Bronson sits down, but keeps his eyes solely on Donovan Duke who doesn’t give a care to the world. There are mics by both men as they sit across from one another and Alana is in the center.)
Alana Starr: Gentlemen, this is the contract signing for the Answers World Championship match at King of Elite. The contract is all set, and after what happened at Road to Redemption, this is a match that is anticipated by so many fans in the EAW. Bronson and Donovan, you two have already read the contract, please sign so we can make it official.
(Donovan takes out a pen and throws it at Bronson. The fans boo.)
Donovan Duke: I’m going to let you sign first for one reason, you wanted this when all you had to do was accept that I had a CiTV Briefcase in possession and I was going to eventually use it, but since it seems like you believe this was some personal attack against you which is rather a troubling case if I am to be honest, as we were friends and had an understanding, then the second I decide to become a World Champion, you take issue with it. I was within my right! But now you want to take things to another level, and I get it, you were the champion for a few minute4s and want to restore the feeling, and I feel like this needs to be handled and now.
(Bronson looks on while Donovan pauses for a second before he continues to speak.)
Donovan Duke: I earned and deserve this Championship, and the second I do what I was supposed to when I won the CITV at Pain For Pride, these lemmings turn on me, and it is all because you had a feel good moment that no matter who won, I was going to go out there and challenge them.
Bronson Daniels: Challenge them? Is that what you call it? Walking into the Chamber after I won the Answers World Championship, and then you have the audacity to pretend being my friend and hitting me with he briefcase, only to turn around and act like this!? You stole that moment away from me, Donovan, you could have cashed in any time after that, but you didn’t, and instead you made sure…. MADE SURE that I couldn’t enjoy that moment in becoming the World Champion! But that is alright, because what I am going to do to you, Donovan is take the Answers World Championship away and continue that celebration that you robbed me of!
(The crowd cheers as Bronson grabs the pen and signs the contract.)
Bronson: And then Donovan, once you sign this and make it official, all you have been doing is holding that title warm for me to take back and that is exactly what I will do!
Donovan Duke: I remember at the King of Elite, what? Four years ago? When you tried to win this Championship and failed? Well, it looks like history is going to repeat itself.
(Donovan Duke now signs the contract. Alana takes it.)
Alana Starr: It is official! We have our match signed and at King of Elite it will be Donovan Duke defending the title against Bronson Daniels for the Answers World Championship!
Bronson Daniels: I forgot one thing Donovan.
Donovan Duke: What is that?
(Suddenly Bronson leaps off his chair over the table and starts attacking Donovan Duke.)
Deadprez: ALL HELL IS BREAKING LOOSE! BRONSON DANIELS JUST JUMPED DONOVAN DUKE AND HE IS LAYING THE FISTS ON HIM!
Eve: ALANA STARR GOT OUT OF THE RING AND SHE IS CALLING FOR SECURITY AND OFFICIALS AS THEY RUN OUT TOI HELP! DONOVAN DUKE IS TRYING TO SLIP AWAY BUT BRONSON GRABS HIM AND HE GOES FOR –
Gavin Kirkland: SECURITY IS THERE IN TIME TO PULL DUKE OUT OF THE RING BUT THE TITLE IS LEFT IN THE RING AND BRONSON DANIELS TRIED TO GRAB HIM, BUT HE GOT AWAY! HE HAS THE TITLE IN HAND AS HE PICKS IT UP OFF THE MAT AND HOLDS IT UP AS THE FANS ERUPT IN CHEERS! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!
(Bronson Daniels holds the Championship up as the fans erupt, Donovan Duke tries to get back in the ring, but he is being held back while Bronson stands tall, the final scene is Daniels holding the title as it cuts to a commercial break.)
(The camera cuts to Gina Romano in the ring.)
Gina Romano: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(“Rain” by VKL hits to cheers from the crowd.)

(The crowd cheers as Sorn comes out to the ring.)
Eve: I really think this guy could be both the Future and the Ace of EAW.
Deadprez: Don’t we already have a Future and an Ace here?
Eve: Yes Deadprez. But we don’t have both. And it’s always changing. Someone might be the Ace today… but this man could be the Ace tomorrow.

Gina Romano: And his opponent… from Casper, Wyoming she is “Your Well-Resolved Woman” SKYLER SWAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!
(Skyler Swain comes down to the ring looking very professional as she chats with various fans at ringside telling them how she is a very normal and stable woman who they can all respect. They seem weirded out though and don’t look like they are buying it.)
Eve: I still have no idea what to even think about this. I mean we all remember Sally right?
Gavin Kirkland: Who? I only know Skyler a strong independent career woman. She is sexy but also respectable.
Deadprez: Come on man. She’s crazy as all hell.
Gavin Kirkland: That’s unfortunate of you Deadprez. You are really showing your insecurity out here tonight. I could never.
(DING! DING! DING!)
Eve: The match begins as Sorn and Skyler Swain are fighting it out in the ring and Sorn doesn’t seem to know exactly what to do with the unorthodox and focused competitor he is dealing with. Skyler goes in for a lock up but as soon as Sorn responds in kind she claws him across the face with her fingernails! I think we might have seen a bit of the old Skyler coming out there! She lunges onto him and begins shaking his head violently but Sorn makes it to the ropes and manages to shove Skyler off him. Sorn gets back up as Skyler smiles and gestures for him to come on and attack him calmly like she just executed a normal technical wrestling move. Sorn is realizing now what he is up against as he gets back into it. Sorn goes for the lock up again but Skyler lunges in at him!-
Deadprez: This time Sorn had it scouted and moves around behind Skyler and grabs her by the arm into a Hammerlock to avoid her attack. But Skyler with a reverse headbutt slamming the back of her head into Sorn to get free! Sorn releases the arm as Skyler whirls around and charges in with a Dropkick sending Sorn into the corner. Skyler rushes in as Sorn leaps up into the air lunging up and over her with a Sunset Flip! Sorn with the steal!
Referee: ON———
Eve: But Sally immediately kicks out!
Deadprez: I think you mean Skyler Eve.
Eve: My bad that is gonna be hard to get used to. My apologies if I use the wrong name at some point in this match.
Gavin Kirkland: I mean they look a lot alike… It’s almost as if…
Eve: Skyler and Sorn are now going to lock up in the ring but Sorn grabs her quickly by the arm preventing anymore scratching and wrestles her down to the mat. Sorn is trying to control the pace of this match with his technical wrestling ability but Skyler is not making it easy. She thrashes around on the ground eventually getting her legs in the ropes and the referee orders the break.
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Deadprez: Sorn lets go as he is not looking to get disqualified as Skyler immediately takes advantage and shoves Sorn’s head into the ropes! Skyler begins putting her knee to the back of Sorn’s neck choking him out aggressively on the ropes! And now Skyler is the one at risk of being disqualified!
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE!
Eve: Sally releases the hold. Sorn has the opportunity to get back up as he regains his breath and Skyler backs off slowly to the otherside of the ring letting him recover. It seems that she is trying to control the tempo here as unorthodox as her methods might be. It seems to be working. As soon as Sorn gets up in the corner Skyler steps out into the ring and Sorn rushes in. She tries to punch him in the face but Sorn ducks beneath! Sorn goes around behind Skyler and grabs her by the waist! He tosses her backwards with a powerful German Suplex! He gets all of it! Sorn now looking to capitalize!!!
Deadprez: Sorn grabs Skyler and pulls her into a Headlock on the mat… Sorn is trying to slow the pace down. Skyler tries to bite into the arm of Sorn but the referee puts a stop to that quickly warning her of the implications. It seems that stopped her from biting and she is going to have to outwrestle her way out of this the old fashioned way. Skyler slowly gets back up to her feet trying to use the momentum and pressure to get out of the Headlock. Eventually she falls into the ropes and sends Sorn across the ring. Sorn bounces off the ropes and takes Skyler down with a Shoulder Black. Skyler rolls across the ring towards the ropes as Sorn goes after her and begins hitting chops to the chest into the ropes as Skyler is thrown into the corner. Sorn keeps the pressure on with a forearm to the face but the referee counts him off.
Gavin Kirkland: Sorn backs up as Skyler lunges out of the corner with a Running Spear! But Sorn moves out of the way! Sorn moves around Skyler who whips around as she gets back up but Sorn grabs her by the ankle and wrestles her down to the mat. Skyler is on the ground kicking at Sorn who is trying to turn her over using her ankle and put her into an Ankle Lock! But Skyler rolls forward flipping Sorn up and over and throwing him across the ring. Sorn gets back up and cautiously faces down with Skyler once more. They go to lock up in the rin-
Eve: But Skyler with a thumb to the eye! Skyler got that in as the referee warns her but the damage is done. Skyler grabs Sorn and takes him down with a Snapmare throwing him down to the mat as she locks in a Sleeper Lock. Skyler is looking to put her opponent down for the count right here and right now and has taken him into the maneuver but Sorn quickly throws his legs around catching Skyler around the head with a leg scissors! Skyler realizes that’s not a great place to be in and quickly releases the hold as Sorn gets free and back up to his feet. Skyler is now walking around the ring as she rallies the crowd up and begins aura farming. But it doesn’t look like the crowd is interested and she gets a reaction she was not hoping for. Skyler looks upset by this as she suddenly turns on Sorn looking to take her frustrations out on him!
Deadprez: A flurry of punches from Skyler as she unloads on Sorn like a toddler throwing a tantrum just beating away on him. Sorn goes into defense mode trying to keep his arms up to protect his body from the blows of Skyler as she pummels him into the ropes. Sorn ducks between the ropes smartly as the referee literally has to pull Skyler off Sorn. Skyler almost punches the referee but manages to restrain herself. Damn this bitch crazy!
Eve: She sure seems like she is missing a few screws in her head as Sorn leaves the ropes and she immediately goes after him again. But with the distance between them Sorn is able to go around behind Skyler and rolls her up into a School Boy pinning combination!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Deadprez: Kickout! Skyler Swain is raging as it looks like she lost the match! No wait! Not quite a three count! Skyler shoves Sorn backwards into the ropes again but Sorn holds onto the ropes and throws Skyler backwards. Skyler back up as she rushes in but Sorn catches her in midair! Sorn picks her up with impressive strength and throws her backwards dropping her face first in the ring with a Flapjack! Skyler rolls to the outside of the ring smartly to regroup. But Sorn charges in! Sorn flies to the outside of the ring with a Suicide Dive!-
Gavin Kirkland: But Skyler sidestepped it! Skyler moves out of the way and she is laughing now! She is laughing at the suffering of her opponent here and she moves in and stomps down hard on the shoulder. I think that Sorn must have landed hard on his shoulder when he missed that Suicide Dive! Skyler picks Sorn up and tosses him shoulder first into the steel ring steps! Sorn is yelling out in pain as he holds his shoulder. Sorn falls backwards into the LED barricade as Skyler rushes in with a Double Knee Strike pancaking his skull between the barrier and the barricade! Damn Sorn is out! Skyler now bringing him back to the apron and shoves Sorn back into the ring! This could be it! Skyler into the ring now and goes for the cover!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Referee: TH-
Eve: No! Kickout by Sorn! Sorn almost put away there and Skyler is raging and slapping the mat in anger! Skyler is resisting going off on the referee but instead turns around and begins laying into Sorn with repeated stomps to the shoulder instead. Skyler needs to calm down but honestly she is too unpredictable and I don’t think even she understands whatever the hell is going on in that sick mind of her’s! She is deranged and now she is yanking on the arm of Sorn and putting her foot on his shoulder! Skyler is trying to dislocate the shoulder of Sorn right here and this is hard to watch!
Deadprez: Oh god I hope that I don’t hear that disgusting popping noise. I’ve seen it happen in other matches but hopefully we don’t see that tonight. Some sick shit for real! Luckily it looks like Sorn is smartly getting his foot on the ropes and Skyler is going to have no choice but to let go of his arm. Sorn looks pleased that he just avoided a painful injury right there but he has to be getting frustrated with the tactics being employed by his opponent.
Eve: Skyler definitely has a dark side but can Sorn overcome this with his technical skill? He backs away from the ropes as Skyler moves in! But Sorn catches her quickly out of nowhere and pulls her into a Small Package!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Referee: TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Deadprez: Skyler kicks out! She almost lost there out of nowhere! Back up and she goes in for a Big Boot to the skull of Sorn! She got all of it! She just kicked his head off and that might be the end of the line for Sorn. Skyler lifts Sorn up as she is not done yet. Then she lifts him up over her head before dropping him… BRAINBUSTER CONNECTS!!! Damn the CTE! The cover by Skyler and that is it!
Referee: ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Gavin Kirkland: No! Sorn stays in it! And Sorn immediately yanks Skyler into a Triangle Choke! Sorn out of nowhere! Oh shit was he playing possum this whole time? There ain’t no way! Ain’t no way!
Eve: But Skyler quickly manages to swing her legs around and get into the ropes! The referee forces the break but Sorn doesn’t let go! Skyler yanks him in sending him throat first into the ropes and forces the break herself! And now Skyler is climbing on top of Sorn and she is going insane!
Deadprez: Skyler is shrieking insanely and she is pounding at the head of Sorn! She is tearing into him and Sally has emerged! Skyler has lost it and we are seeing shades of her old self here tonight! But a thumb to the eye from Sorn!
Eve: Sorn taking some tips out of Skyler’s playbook! If she wants to go that way then he is going to respond in kind! Sorn with a headbutt to Skyler who looks like she was taken aback by the maneuvers Sorn is using. She falls backwards into the corner but Sorn runs in…
Deadprez: Stinger Splash connects!
Gavin Kirkland: Sorn got all of it crushing Skyler into the corner before pulling her out and tossing her backwards with a Belly to Belly Suplex!
Eve: But Sorn is not going for the cover just yet! He has other plans here. What could he be thinking?!?!
Deadprez: Sorn pulls Skyler up and drops her again with a Belly to Belly Suplex before stancing up and it looks like he has an idea to put her away!
Eve: Sorn pulls Sally in! But Sally is biting on him! I mean Skyler… Skyler is biting and clawing at him! The referee is calling for the DQ!
Deadprez: No! The referee relented at the last moment as Sorn connected with a Running High Knee! Skyler falls to a knee as he runs off the ropes…
Eve: SPRINGBOARD CUTTER OFF THE ROPES!!! SORN GOT ALL OF IT! THE COVER!!!

Eve: Damn what a hard fought win for Sorn! He managed to overcome his deranged opponent with his great wrestling skills!
Gavin Kirkland: SHOWDOWN! SHOWDOWN! WE WRESTLE!
Deadprez: There is definitely something wrong with Skyler Swain. Does she have a smile on her face even after losing? What the hell is wrong with her?
Eve: We may never know or understand. But what I can understand is that Sorn just got a huge W! Congrats!
(The camera cuts to a commercial speculating on which EAW Elitists in a relationship are most likely currently cheating on each other.)
(The camera fades backstage to Mikaela Street who is smiling and holding a microphone.)
Mikaela Street: Showdown has been hype so far! I can’t wait for King of Elite! But right now I would like you all to turn your attention away from the ring and give a warm welcome to my guest at this time… MIKU SAKAI!!!
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
(Miku Sakai enters looking visibly annoyed by the negative crowd reaction. She shakes her head in disappointment.)
Miku Sakai: Classic Nebraska! Classic Midwest! Mid as always!
Crowd: YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!
Mikaela Street: I am glad that you have joined me Miku. Did you notice that our names are very similar? Miku and Mika! We could be sisters!
Miku Sakai: Eeew. What the hell is wrong with you?
(Miku Sakai grabs the microphone and shoves Mikaela away from her in disgust.)
Miku Sakai: This was the wrong week to mess with the wrong one. I am sick and tired of everything. You know what? Come back over here Mikaela. Don’t ever compare yourself to me though. But if you really want to glaze me then you can hold this microphone for a minute while I tell you all about what a bad fucking time I’ve been having lately.
(A despondent Mikaela makes her way back into the scene and takes the microphone and holds it up for Miku to speak.)
Miku Sakai: Maybe try to smile more too. Just a thought. You are a TV personality after all. Anyway… I am sick and tired of this disrespect. I mean you are only part of it Mikaela. These people… These people make me absolutely sick. The garbage masses in the crowd and the other wrestlers backstage. Ever since I last held a title it is clear this place has changed a lot. People used to actually recognize who the hell I was. But now? It’s like they don’t remember. It’s like they don’t get the level of respect they should be showing an absolute EAW legend like myself. I am sick and tired of it and I am going to show all of you. I am going to show all of you that you have made a mistake and you are going to learn to take me seriously once again. You are all going to recognize that Miku Sakai is a true champion.
Mikaela Street: I think we might get to see that at King of Elite. Miku Sakai has a big title match for the National Elite Championship against SOSA Henderson. Do you predict victory for yourself at King of Elite?
Miku Sakai: You see… this is the disrespect I was talking about. In the past everyone would have just assumed I was going to win the title at King of Elite. Because I am motherfucking Miku Sakai. Instead it’s an actual question? What the fuck? SOSA Henderson? REALLY? I mean SOSA stole the championship away from me after my generational victory over Veena Adams. I am the real National Elite Champion and am going to prove that at King of Elite and you will all remember just why Miku is a champion then, now and forever!
(SOSA Henderson enters the picture with a look on his face that suggests he is skeptical of everything that she just said. The crowd begins cheering loudly as Miku Sakai looks absolutely outraged and throws her hands up in disgust.)
Miku Sakai: Really? You cheer for this bum? This poser champion?
SOSA Henderson: Poser champion huh? Come on now Miku. I’m the National Elite Champion! You should show me a lil more love. You a bitch. And as we all know. Bitches love SOSA!
(The crowd begins a loud “Bitches Love SOSA” chant which luckily does not have to be censored due to EAW’s streaming deal.)
Miku Sakai: Shut up! No they don’t! I sure as hell don’t! I’m going to beat his ass and win that title!
SOSA Henderson: Hmm? Very unlikely Miku! I mean when is the last time you even held a championship? I don’t see why I should be afraid of someone who’s glory days were like ten years ago or something by this point. Maybe you should go on to live in a retirement home. But you can’t because you can’t accept that times change. Me personally? I think it is hilarious that the person you beat for a belt went on to become a top star while you? You are just kind of… here I guess? Existing? You are a member of the EAW roster right?
Miku Sakai: Very funny. You know that I am a part of-
(Suddenly something snaps in Miku and she grabs the microphone from Mikaela and lunges at SOSA slamming the microphone into his head! They both fall to the ground and begin throwing shots. Mikaela runs screaming out of view as the fight is on.)
Eve: Oh shit! All hell has broken loose backstage! We need some help back there!
(SOSA Henderson is shown grabbing the microphone from Miku and hitting her in the head with it before slamming his championship hard into her shoulder. She retaliates by kicking the title out of his hand and then throwing a garbage can at his head.)
Deadprez: They are destroying the backstage area! This commotion is dangerous!
Gavin Kirkland: Don’t hurt her pretty face!
(Suddenly EAW officials are seen swarming the scene and dragging both away. They continue spitting at each other and briefly break away to throw hands again before officials eventually regain control.)

Miku Sakai: (off-mic) YES I AM! SHOW ME SOME RESPECT!!
(Both are dragged away until their taunts and insults can no longer be heard.)
Eve: It is clear this thing has become very personal. Who is going to win the championship at King of Elite? These two can’t be contained much longer!!!
(The camera cuts to a commercial focusing on Miku Sakai’s history in EAW catching viewers up on her former title reign and leading into her challenging for the title at King of Elite.)
(Showdown comes back from commercials, as ‘Death Rattle’ by Miguel Angeles plays on the speakers and the crowd responds in a negative manner, Johann Black walks out with a confident aura to himself, turning over and then taking in the reaction of the crowd, a small grin slipping out on his face as he adjusts his jacket and then walks down the ramp.)
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING FIRST, FROM KOWLOON, HONG KONG, WEIGHING IN AT 230 POUNDS, HE IS THE “TOP TIER ALPHA”, JOHAAANNNNNNN BLACK!
Eve: I am already getting a bad feeling from him.
Gavin Kirkland: …I like him!
Deadprez: Well, Johann Black coming out of a succesful debut last week, the difficulty is being stepped up for him as he is facing a former champion here on his second match on Showdown, for anyone this would be a rough endeavor, but the question is if Johann is anyone or a different breed that will be able to succeed, we will have to see.
(Johann enters inside the ring and then takes his corner, as then “PUT EM IN THE FRIDGE” by Peso Pluma and Cardi B plays on the speakers and the crowd is mixed with mostly boos, Roberto de la Rosa comes out, adjusting his entrance jacket and then looking around at the people, instead of showing a confident smile, he has a focused expression on his face, he takes a deep breath in and out before then moving forward, focused on winning this match.)
Gina Romano: AND HIS OPPONENT, FROM HIDALGO, MEXICO, WEIGHING IN AT 225 POUNDS, HE IS “EL PADRINO” ROBERTOOOOOOO DE LA ROOOSAAA!
Eve: Roberto having a lot to think through and deal with when heading into this match, he knows that destiny has dealt him a bad card for the past few months and now with this match, he has the chance to be able to turn things around and truly make them count. Even though he kinda deserved the bad luck.
Deadprez: A lot of doubt has been put on him for the past few weeks too, but now, it is his time to be able to shut them up and prove that he can still hang with the other wrestlers in the roster!
(Roberto arrives to the ring as well and takes his own corner, taking off his entrance jacket and waiting patiently before finally…)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Gavin Kirkland: AND THE MATCH IS UNDERWAY!
Eve: Now, I know I am supposed to be un-bias when it comes to matches like these, but uh… I don’t really want any of these two to exactly win this match?
Gavin Kirkland: Eh?! How dare you say that kind of thing, Eve! Right now, there are two incredibly confident men inside of the ring, willing to fight tooth and nail for the chance of getting a win to further their career here! Because one of them is our great Padrino who definitely is not lying to the masses in any single way possible and Johann Black, which, in a way, I do see myself a lot in him.
Deadprez: Now I know damn well it is not the body or the hair that you see yourself in him, so I am confident to say it is the horrible personality.
Gavin Kirkland: Maaaannnn…
Eve: Well, in all seriousness, it is an important match for Johann Black to be able to prove himself by beating a former Hardcore Champion in Roberto de la Rosa, and Roberto has had a bad run of luck for the past few weeks and now he has the chance to bounce back by getting a deserved victory here!
Deadprez: Aaaand… uh… Johann is taking a step forward to try and shake Roberto’s hand? Now that is something you don’t see usually here in the ring, especially from someone like Johann.
Eve: The two do seem to have a few things in common so maybe Johann can find some respect in Roberto. Hell, Roberto has a smile on his face seeing that and he goes to grab Johann’s hand-
Gavin Kirkland: BUT JOHANN ENDS UP PULLING HIM IN AND TRIES TO HIT HIM DOWN WITH A CLOTHESLINE!
Eve: ROBERTO IS ABLE TO DUCK DOWN UNDER THE CLOTHESLINE JUST IN TIME AND THE TWO OPPONENTS QUICKLY BACK AWAY FROM EACH OTHER! Roberto knew that was a trap and he was actually prepared for it!
Deadprez: Man, the two are actually laughing to themselves after that one and pointing at each other, this match is going to be very annoying and I am not looking forward to it in a way.
Gavin Kirkland: I am!
Eve: Well, the job is the job! Either way, Roberto is showing that he is not letting a trick like that get to him, he ends up raising his arms and is willing to lock up, and Johann casually follows along. The two men lock up and they quickly start going for a strength test, Johann trying his best to push Roberto towards the ropes and then get him cornered.
Deadprez: Roberto lowers his arms in time and then wraps them around Johann’s head, quickly locking in a headlock and then trying to wrench some pressure in his neck, although Johann does not let that happen and almost immediately starts sending punches towards Roberto’s sides, trying to make him let go.
Eve: Roberto obliges but that ends up giving Roberto the chance to deliver a back elbow towards Johann instead! Johann ends up grabbing onto his face while Roberto has a quick plan here, running towards the ropes to bounce off them and then trying to go on and hit Johann-
Deadprez: BUT ROBERTO ENDS UP GETTING DROPPED DOWN WITH A SUDDEN JUMPING DDT! Roberto is forced to roll over and then grab onto his head from that one while Johann gets up to his feet and then flexes his muscles for a moment, the crowd reacting negatively to him and making sure to let out their thoughts on him.
Gavin Kirkland: They are clearly jealous of his beautiful golden locks… I am a bit as well, but that is not the point, really!
Eve: There is always hair transplant if you really need it
Gavin Kirkland: Alright Eve, I can be hopeless sometimes but I am truly not desperate like that!
Eve: Happy to hear that at least. Either way, with Roberto now on the ground and Johann being able to shift the balance of the match towards him, Johann is just taking advantage of Roberto while he is on the ground and he is just starting to kick the crap out of him! Stomping a mudhole on him and not letting him take a breath, making sure to weaken him to try and deliver the final blow for later!
Deadprez: Johann grabs onto Roberto and then pushes him towards the corner, yet again stomping him over and over on the gut and making Roberto try to protect himself here from the assault! Johann quickly raises a fist and then throws it, with Roberto moving his arms to protect his face and block that punch!
Eve: But that ended up just being a faint, as Johann grabs onto Roberto’s head due to Roberto putting up his arms and then pulls him off the corner! Johann lifting him up in the air… BEFORE DROPPING HIM DOWN WITH AN URANAGE! Johann moves quickly and then decides to cover Roberto for the first pinfall of the match!

Deadprez: And it just ends up being a two count for the… sigh, ‘Top Tier Alpha’. Johann is looking slightly frustrated at that one but not to the point of getting annoyed, as he moves quickly to grab onto Roberto’s head and then once again lifts him up, trying to get something working here as Johann raises a fist up and then hits him right on the head! Once! Twice! Three times here by Johann! Roberto is left loopy as Johann-
Eve: BUT ROBERTO PULLS HIS OWN FAKE-OUT HERE! AS HE ENDS UP LOWERING JOHANN’S GUARD DOWN AND ENDS UP SLAPPING HIM RIGHT ON THE FACE FOR HIS TROUBLES! ROBERTO PUSHES JOHANN AWAY AND GETS SOME DISTANCE HERE, ROBERTO RUNNING FORWARD AND THEN HITTING JOHANN DOWN WITH A BIG BOOT RIGHT TO THE FACE!
Deadprez: Johann gets dropped down to the ground from it with Roberto quickly grabbing onto him and then lifting him up in a swift motion, moving fast and then hitting him down with a Saito Suplex! Roberto being able to get some offense here against Johann and finally trying to get the flow of the match going here! Roberto quickly gets up to his feet and then runs again towards the ropes, moving quickly to jump onto them… AND THEN JUMP OFF FOR A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!
Eve: Roberto is able to land it like it is nothing on Johann and then Roberto goes for the cover!

Gavin Kirkland: But the Top Tier Alpha Johann Black himself is able to kick out and still continue to stay in the match! That right there, ladies and gentlemen, is determination to not let another opponent that you are facing take the win away from you so easily!
Deadprez: And that, right there ladies and gentlemen, is an example of actual dickeating.
Eve: :mjlol: Right, Roberto finally trying to get something going here now that he has Johann right where he wants him! Roberto moves quickly to grab onto Johann and then lifts him up high in the air! Lifting him up almost like he is going for a Chokeslam maneuver but Roberto lifts his knee and there he tries to hit him down onto a backbreaker!
Gavin Kirkland: No! Johann is fighting back with vigor and yet again with newfound energy here! He is elbowing down onto Roberto’s head, not letting Roberto try to hit him down and hurt him further! Before finally, one more elbow does the trick and Roberto is forced to let go! Johann drops down and then grabs onto Roberto’s head… BEFORE HOOKING HIS HEAD AND NECK AND THEN HITTING HIM DOWN WITH A FISHERMAN’S NECKBREAKER! LOOK AT THE MOVES! LOOK AT THE INTENSITY THAT HE IS HITTING THEM WITH! We might have a young goat on our hands here
Deadprez: And you were wondering why I said annoying at the start of this match? Anyway, after that one, Johann moves quickly to pin Roberto!

Eve: But it is not enough! Roberto kicks out of the move in time before the three count! Johann groans annoyingly in response and then has to back away yet again, trying to quickly plan things out and then find somehow, someway, to take down Roberto de la Rosa! I will admit though that he is indeed having a good performance so far even though I am not really a fan of what he likes to say.
Gavin Kirkland: Aha! I knew you would eventually fall trap towards the charms of Johann Black himself-
Eve: Alright, now you are just getting ahead of yourself, Gavin, just concentrate on calling the match.
Gavin Kirkland: Man, can’t have fun anymore around here, huh? Well, whatever, I will have my own fun! The Top Tier Alpha himself is sizing up Roberto here and here he is readying for it! You know what this is entailling! HE RUNS FORWARD AND THEN SPINS AROUND ONCE, AND THEN TWICE… AND THEN HE TRIES TO GO FOR THE “PODCAST MICROPHONE BASH!” HERE TO FLOOR ROBERTO!

Deadprez: Well, I know damn well Roberto is not appreciating that kick-out! He quickly gets up and then starts stomping the hell out of Johann! Bringing back at him the pain that he delivered to him at the start of the match with those stomps! He is definitely trying to weaken him here to be able to hit a move here, and seeing the position, it is definitely going to be one that is about to stump people!
Eve: And it will stump in the most literal sense! As Roberto lifts Johann and then pushes him down, raising his arms to the side and then showing off to the crowd, with some boos being thrown at him, sadly, we know this one! Roberto lifts up!
Deadprez: AND ROBERTO TRIES TO GO HERE FOR THE MEXICAN DESTROYER!
Gavin Kirkland: NO! JOHANN BLACK IS NOT LETTING HIM FLIP OVER! AS HE IS ABLE TO HOLD ONTO ROBERTO’S LEGS AND THEN LIFT HIM UP IN THE AIR HIMSELF! LOOK AT THE STRENGTH OF JOHANN BLACK HIMSELF AS HE IS LIFTING 225 POUNDS OF PURE MUSCLE!
Eve: Uh- Roberto is like fairly fit but I would not say he is like pure muscle, I am going to be honest-
Gavin Kirkland: AND THEN HE ENDS UP HITTING HIM DOWN WITH A BIG CHOKESLAM! NOW THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!
Eve: Yeah, I don’t think I feel as bad now about being biased.
Deadprez: Either way, Johann ended up turning things around in his favor with that Chokeslam! And now that Roberto is down on the mat and he has the chance to finish it off! He is going to take it and then use it to his advantage! He points towards the top of one of the corners with a big grin on his face and then starts heading towards it!
Gavin Kirkland: He is climbing it like he is climbing Mount Everest himself! And gosh darn it, he is getting to the damn top! He is now sizing Roberto up once more and then starts getting prepared to jump off, and I am sure if he had wings, he would end up flying like a beautiful bird!
Eve: That doesn’t even make sense.
Gavin Kirkland: It makes sense to me! Johann rises up towards his feet and he is getting ready now! He points down… BEFORE JUMPING OFF! HE GOES FOR A BIG SPLASH FROM THE TOP ROPE!
Deadprez: BUT ROBERTO IS ABLE TO PUT HIS LEGS UP IN TIME BEFORE JOHANN IS ABLE TO LAND THE SPLASH!
Gavin Kirkland: DAMN IT!
Eve: Roberto is able to roll through and grab onto the damaged Johann, and suddenly he mounts on top of him and then just starts unleashing a lot of rage on him! He is hitting him down with strikes, elbows, punches, directly onto his face and Roberto is not holding back at all! He is not letting his chance of bouncing back from all of his previous losses slip from his hands yet again!
Deadprez: Roberto finally lands a good punch right across Johann’s jaw and then Roberto takes a few seconds to get his breath back. He shakes his head in silence and then gets off of Johann, grabbing tightly onto his hair and then forcing him up to his feet, Roberto is not letting another slip-up happen to him, and now that he has Johann right where he wants him, he is going to go through with his promise!
Eve: Yet again, Roberto takes a few steps back, rushing quickly towards the ropes to bounce off them and get some momentum, before running towards Johann-
Gavin Kirkland: STRAIGHT INTO THE “IRON DRAGON!” BAAAAAAAAAAAANGGGGG! ROBERTO GETS HIT RIGHT ON THE JAW WITH THAT HAMMER ELBOW AND JOHANN DROPS DOWN TO COVER HIM! FOR THE WIN! FOR ALL OF THE JOHANNIANS THAT HAVE BEEN BELIEVING SINCE DAY ONE!

Eve: IT DOES NOT CONNECT! ROBERTO ENDS UP LIFTING JOHANN INSTEAD AND THROWS HIM WITH A BACK BODY DROP! JOHANN TRIES TO RUSH QUICKLY TO HIS FEET, BUT JUST AS HE DOES-
Deadprez: “BORDER CRASHER!” A SPRINGBOARD KNEE STRAIGHT TO THE FACE THAT COMPLETELY TURNS JOHANN INSIDE OUT!

(“PUT EM IN THE FRIDGE” plays on the speakers, a very mixed reaction breaking out as Roberto slowly sits up to his feet with a gigantic grin on his face, cracking his neck slightly, satisfied by his win.)
Gina Romano: AND HERE IS YOUR WINNER, ROBERTOOOOO DE LA ROSAAAAAAAAAAA!
Gavin Kirkland: I am a sad man, write whatever you want about me.
Eve: What a hard fought win by Roberto de la Rosa, after a few weeks of facing bad luck his way, he finally found his chance to come out on top against Johann Black!
Deadprez: Despite his very punchable face, Johann Black showed out against a former Hardcore Champion in Roberto de la Rosa, and he seems to have a bright future here in EAW if he keeps that performance up.
Eve: But tonight, it was Roberto that came out on top!
(Roberto lets the referee raise his hand in victory, he stretches his arms to the outside, taking in the reaction of the people while Johann is laying on the ground, trying to recover from the pain, Roberto celebrates once more on one of the corners as Showdown fades away from there.)
(Backstage….
After the win by Roberto De La Rosa, he makes his way to the back, and is unwrapping the tape from his wrist, he looks determined and at the same time ready for anything, but what Roberto has been is quiet and rather lost after Road to redemption. The win was much needed. He walks down the backstage area and passes a particular individual in a black suit and red tie.)
???: Very impressive out there, amigo.
(Roberto stops, just at the fact that he said anything to him.)
Roberto De La Rosa: What did you say to me guero?
(The person was Silas Mason, the manager of Nikki Kimura, the Specialist Champion. He responds in his Texas accent.)
Silas Mason: Hold on amigo, I am a man from Texas, I deal with your kind all the time.
Roberto De La Rosa: My kind? Oh I get it, Trump becomes President and all you gringos think you can disrespect Mexican’s right?
(Silas just chuckles.)
Silas Mason: Your kind didn’t mean Mexican, it meant loud and proud of your heritage and it’s so bad to the point that you don’t even see how it is hindering your career. Think about it for a second, Roberto. You had La Familia, there was NO excuse not to win Championship gold, even having the numbers game and what happened?
(Roberto doesn’t say anything, instead just staring Silas down.)
Silas Mason: I will tell you what happened, amigo. Brianna Hill is at The King of Elite, and you are not. You gotta understand Roberto, I am a manager of Champions, I even led Kennedy Street, the General Manager to a World Championship, I grabbed someone like Nikki Kimura who let’s face it, wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire and I look at her now. Then I look at you, a man that a few years ago everyone was talking about being a World Champion, and yet 24/7 Battle Royal and a Hardcore Champion, okay sure, but after losing that title what have you done since.
Roberto De La Rosa: Look pendejo, I’m not stupid, okay? I followed your career outside of EAW, I saw the wrestlers you made World Champions, even Alana Starr, I get it, you can take anyone and make them a champ, but I don’t need anyone, I can do it all on my own, buey.
(After nodding, Silas Mason starts to walk off, but he stops for a moment.)
Silas Mason: Before I go, Roberto, I want you to think about something for me and that is where do you see yourself by the end of the season. You’re not at King of Elite, you are not challenging for anything, matter of fact, you have become an afterthought. What are you going to do to change that perception? Think about it for a moment, because at the end of the day things change with you. But just remember one thing.
(Silas leans in.)
Silas Mason: I can help you…. Get there. See you around, amigo.
(Without another word Silas walks off, leaving Roberto standing there for a moment thinking about what Silas had said and has him thinking as the camera shifts to ringside.)
(We have returned from commercial break and we see that the ringside area is empty for a brief moment before the arena is filled with the sounds of “Changed It” by Nicki Minaj ft. Lil Wayne. Seconds later, the crowd starts going absolutely crazy with cheers as the Universal Women’s Champion Milli Banks enters the arena. Milli is wearing her standard Milli shades and has her title on her shoulder as she heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen! Please welcome to the ring at this time… THE EAW UNIVERSAL WOMEN’S CHAMPION! “THE SUPERNOVA” MILLI BANKS!
Eve: Here comes the Champ! Milli Banks is still dressed in style, but she’s not wasting any time as she heads to the ring. No bouncing around to the music tonight as Milli no doubt has something on her mind and it’s safe to say it’s King of Elite.
Gavin Kirkland: Milli has a title defense at King of Elite and I am only cheering for her because she is on Showdown. She’s beautiful, but she’s dating that choke artist Bronson Daniels and that sucks.
Deadprez: As we get back to the arena, Milli Banks has some pretty high stakes within her Universal Women’s Title defense against Raven Roberts next week. She’s walking a fine line for making history, but will it happen at King of Elite? We are about to hear what’s on the mind of Milli Banks, so let’s send it to her.
(Milli grabs a microphone from Gina Romano before she enters the ring. Her entrance music slowly fades off as the crowd is chanting her name. That goes on for a moment before the crowd calms down and Milli begins to speak.)
Milli Banks: While I can come out here and talk about King of Elite being just another day at the office, I won’t. Because it’s different. This match has a different feel to it maybe because of what is behind this match for me.
Milli Banks: Besides the defense I had in the Extreme Elimination Chamber, this is perhaps the toughest title defense I have had to date because I am going to be facing off against a woman who has found major success in her career.
Milli Banks: A woman who will no doubt be a future member of the Elite Answers Wrestling Hall of Fame. A woman who has held the Universal Women’s Championship in the past and would no doubt love to hold this title again. I am talking about the one and only Raven Roberts.
(The crowd cheers at the mention of Raven’s name. Milli responds with a nod as she continues to speak.)
Milli Banks: Look. I get it. I completely understand what Raven wants and I completely empathize with her, but she is unfortunately being a little bit of a roadblock for me. Between me and me making history as the longest reigning Universal Women’s Champion ever is her.
Milli Banks: While I understand where she is coming from and her desire to win this title, I am not going to allow her to ruin everything just a handful of days before I make history.
Milli Banks: It’s nothing personal, Raven, but I am going to anything and everything that I can to make sure I retain my title at King of Elite and become the longest reigning Universal Women’s Champion of all time. I am not gonna let you stop me this close to the finish line.
(After Milli finishes her statement, we hear the sounds of ‘Ghost Myself’ by DIAMANTE playing throughout the arena as Raven Roberts enters the arena to a reaction from the crowd. She has a look of determination on her face as she heads to the ring.)
Gavin Kirkland: We should have seen this coming as here comes Milli’s challenger at King of Elite. Another taken woman coming to the ring. Can we get the single ladies out here to talk because I am ready to mingle.
Deadprez: That wasn’t creepy at all. But Raven Roberts is a woman on a mission to win back the title that she once held years ago. But will the talented Raven Roberts be the spoiler on a reign that Milli Banks has made almost historic? She certainly could.
Eve: Raven is the final step before Milli reaches history, but how much of a roadblock will Raven be? She’s a former Champion in her own right and she is going to be ready for next weekend. Let’s see what the Challenger has to say.
(Raven also grabs a microphone for Gina before she also enters the ring. She walks up to Milli and looks at her with no emotion showing as her entrance music fades off and Raven begins to speak.)
Raven Roberts: While we might be opponents next week, I can admit that I really admire your fire, your spirit, and your very strong confidence. Raven Roberts: Because come King of Elite, this is NOT going to be a triple threat match. This is NOT going to be anything like the Extreme Elimination Chamber. This match is you against me. One on one. Mano a mano.
Raven Roberts: You won’t have multiple people in the match causing damage as well. There will be no weapons either. If you want to defend that title of yours and make history, you are going to have to straight up beat the ever loving crap out of me to do it. You have no other choice. But believe me, I’m not planning to fall easily… or at all, Milli.
(Milli nods in understanding as she again gets where Raven is coming from. She looks at Raven before she replies.)
Milli Banks: Raven, with all due respect, it doesn’t matter to me how many people I have to defend my title against in a given match because I am always looking for the same result of victory. One, two, six. Hell, you can throw the whole damn women’s roster at me and you will get the same performance and result from me.
Raven Roberts: I am very well aware of the talent you have. You have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time and I respect that. But you haven’t stepped into the ring with someone like me. You get Raven and you will feel the power of the talons.
Milli Banks: You can certainly be a dangerous competitor in the ring and being married to Rex has certainly broadened your arsenal. I’m ready for what you are going to bring at King of Elite, but just be ready to leave feeling bankrupt.
Raven Roberts: It will be a hell of a fight, no doubt about it. But I’ll be ready for what you bring as well, but I won’t be leaving bankrupt. I’ll be leaving King of Elite as the new Universal Women’s Champion. The Raven will fly to the top of the mountain to reign again.
Milli Banks: As much as I would love to see you successful, it won’t be happening at my expense. Not even a powerful Raven will ruin my chances of making history.
Raven Roberts: That remains to be seen, but at King of Elite, history will be made one way or another… and you can bank on that.
(Raven finishes speaking and both women stare each other down in the middle of the ring. Neither one is backing down from the other as they don’t say another word to each other.)

Deadprez: We will see next weekend as Milli Banks will be challenged by Raven Roberts. This will be history in the making, but in which way? Will Milli break the longevity record for the title or will Raven become only the fourth woman in EAW history to be a two-time Universal Women’s Champion? What a match this is going to be.

Gavin Kirkland: The match has started and Nikki charges forward immediately! Swinging a clothesline at TJ— he ducks under, rebounds off the ropes, and nails Nikki with a dropkick to the chest! Nikki takes a step back, but she isn’t going down.
Eve: TJ keeps moving, hitting the ropes again and attempting an arm drag. Nikki catches him midair- using her surprising strength to power him into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! TJ writhes in pain, clutching his lower back!
Deadprez: Nikki grabs TJ by the arm, yanking him to his feet before delivering a stiff forearm smash to the jaw! She whips him into the corner, following up with a European uppercut in the corner!
Gavin Kirkland: As TJ stumbles forward, Nikki grabs him around the waist and delivers a gutwrench suplex, sending him crashing onto the canvas! She immediately looks toward Saori at ringside, points at the downed TJ. Looks like she is using this as a way to send a message.
Eve: Nikki lifts TJ off the mat, setting him up for a powerbomb— but TJ begins hammering away at Nikki’s head with quick punches forcing her to stagger! Before she can stabilize, TJ counters with a hurricanrana, sending Nikki into the ropes!
Deadprez: I think he is sensing an opening, TJ gets on the spring keeping his eyes on Nikki! TJ jumps from the top rope, landing a slingshot DDT! Spiking her into the mat! He hooks the leg for the pin!

Eve: That would be pinfall worthy but she isn’t going for the pin! Nikki rolls through, hoisting TJ onto her shoulders and delivering a Death Valley Driver! She kneels beside him, turning her gaze to Saori again before dragging TJ back up. I hope that she keeps her focus on TJ, Saori could end up costing her this match if she isn’t focused.
Deadprez: Nikki sets up for the “Kamigoye” knee strike— but TJ moves out the way! Nikki goes running into the ropes. Nikki rebounds, TJ surprises her with a sudden spinning heel kick, catching her in the head! Nikki stumbles but doesn’t fall, and TJ quickly capitalizes jumping off the second rope and hitting a tornado DDT!
Gavin Kirkland: TJ once again climbs to the top rope, looking for a 450 Splash! He leaps, twisting through the air— but Nikki rolls out of the way at the last second! TJ crashes into the mat, and Nikki wastes no time, seeing him get to his feet and hitting him with a SUPERKICK! Sending him down!
Eve: Nikki once again, not going for the pin. She goes over to climb the top rope locking eyes with Saori as she executes a DOUBLE FOOT STOMP! Now she goes for the pin, looking to finish the match.

Eve: Saori steps closer to the ring, her expression cold as she watches Nikki! Silas Mason stands between Saori and the ring, keeping a close eye on her. I don’t think she was planning on doing anything but Silas wanted to make sure. Nikki keeping the hold locked in— BUT ALEXANDER MANAGING TO GET HIS FOOT ON THE ROPE! Nikki lets go of the hold and stands over TJ.
Deadprez: TJ is barely hanging on and Nikki poised to deliver a victory for herself —but the tension at ringside might be a disadvantage for her.
Eve: TJ Alexander just barely saved himself with that rope break, but he’s in serious trouble now. Nikki Kimura is laser-focused, and she looks like she’s ready to end this match.
Deadprez: Nikki yanks TJ off the mat by his hair, dragging him to the center of the ring. She wraps her arms around his waist and effortlessly lifts him into the air, slamming him down with a deadlift German suplex! She bridges into the pin!

Nikki picks TJ up again, locking him in a dragon sleeper! She wrenches back on his neck, bending him in half as TJ flails desperately, trying to find a way out. The crowd begins to rally behind him as he kicks his legs and twists his body, finally managing to swing himself over and roll Nikki into a pin!

TJ lands hard on the back of his neck, and Nikki takes a moment to recover before stalking him.
Deadprez: Nikki is back on her feet, and she’s fired up now! She stalks TJ as he struggles to stand, grabbing him by the wrist and yanking him into a ripcord lariat! TJ flips inside out from the impact, crashing hard to the mat!

Eve: Saori seems to realize this but it doesn’t seem like she is intimidated, clapping for her opponent at King of Elite. These two will meet in the ring and one will walk out with the Specialist Championship.
( Nikki Kimura holds the Specialist Championship in the air, pointing to Saori who just smirks mouthing off about how she should “enjoy the moment”. The scene fades on Saori glaring at the Champion. )
(The camera cuts backstage to Kyra Phillips, who is standing in front of a Showdown banner with a smile on her face and a microphone in her hand as she begins to speak.)
Kyra Phillips: Ladies and gentlemen, this has been a great edition of Showdown so far, especially after a great match between TJ Alexander and the Specialists Champion Nikki Kimura. Especially as we get closer to the two night extravaganza of King of Elite.
Kyra Phillips: Speaking of King of Elite, there is so much action that is going to be packed into those two nights. One of those matches on the card has some pretty high stakes and I am talking about the Fatal Four Way Elimination Match to become the Number One Contender for the National Elite Championship.
Kyra Phillips: Now with me at this time are three of the competitors that will be vying to be the next challenger for either Miku Sakai or SOSA Henderson and the National Elite Championship. Please welcome at this time… first! Ryan Joseph Wilson.
(The Camera shot widens to show Ryan Joseph Wilson standing next to Kyra as the crowd starts cheering wildly for the Showdown star.)
Kyra Phillips: Next to Ryan, we have Brianna Hill.
(Brianna is shown standing next to Ryan as the crowd boos loudly for her.)
Kyra Phillips: Finally, we have Ruler.
(Standing on the other side of Kyra, we see Ruler flanked by a few of his loyal druids as the crowd continues to boo.)
Kyra Phillips: Thank you all for joining me. As you know, this Contender’s match will be a Fatal Four Way Elimination match with the final participant in this match being decided later tonight as the man who loses in the King of Elite Semifinal match will get the final spot, that being Cody Maverick or TLA.
Kyra Phillips: My question to you all right now is how do you feel about this opportunity that is being presented to you at King of Elite to put yourself back in contention for a championship? Also, how do you feel about your chances going into this match considering it’s a Fatal Four Way Elimination style match? Ryan, I’ll start with you.
(Kyra hands Ryan the microphone as he gives a nod to Kyra. He grabs the microphone and begins to speak.)
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Thank you, Kyra. How do I feel about this opportunity? I feel the same way as I do with any other opportunity granted towards me. I am grateful for the chance to show the EAW faithful why exactly I am the “Workhorse” of Showdown. Each opportunity I get just shows that all the scratching and clawing I have been doing to show the world that I have been improving is paying off.
Ryan Joseph Wilson: Plus, I would absolutely love to get another shot at the National Elite Championship, whether it be a match against Miku or another chance against SOSA considering how close I was to defeating SOSA not too long ago. When I win next week, I will be more than ready for whoever the champion will be because I want to continue showing the world that I am not somebody that is going to be ignored or pushed aside. I am going to keep pushing through until I become champion again and this time, I will not settle for close. I am going to win it all next time.
(In the background, we can hear the crowd cheering for Ryan and the intensity he has been showing in recent months. Brianna is standing next to him looking bored and mock clapping. Ryan doesn’t see it… or he doesn’t care as he continues speaking.)
Ryan Joseph Wilson: As for my chances in this match, yeah they aren’t that high considering the fact that this is elimination style as opposed to a sudden death match, but it really doesn’t matter to me because I am very confident that I have exactly what it takes to win the match and become the Number One Contender again regardless of the odds.
(Ryan gives a polite smile as he hands the microphone back to Kyra, who gives him a just as polite nod before she continues.)
Kyra Phillips: Thank you, Ryan. Brianna. Your thoughts?
(Kyra brings the microphone to Brianna, who just snatches it out of Kyra’s hand and glares at her before she begins to speak.)
Brianna Hill: It’s about time you finally got to me. Considering the fact that I am the one who has the most important things to say. Before I answer this question that probably took you all of ten seconds to think up… great journalism there, sweetheart. Let me say that I am glad that Ryan Wilson is done talking because I don’t think that I could take another second of his mindless jabber.
(Ryan turns to Brianna and glares at her. Brianna just rolls her eyes before she continues speaking.)
Brianna Hill: Yeah, that’s right! I said it. Ryan, do you ever hear yourself talk? If your words were any more sickingly sweet, we’d all hit the ground because of a sugar coma. No wonder why so many people wanna punch your lights out.
Brianna Hill: Now do you really wanna know what I think about this opportunity? I think it’s about time because I deserve it. Did you see the performance I had in the Empress of Elite tournament? I made it a hell of a lot farther than those two dumb bastards did in the King of Elite and this time, I am not settling for second or third place. I am going straight for the top.
Brianna Hill: So it’s only natural that I be rewarded for my efforts with another chance at a title match. Ruler and Ryan Wilson? Please. They’ve choked so much recently that I am surprised that they can still breathe. It’s kind of sad. It’s time for someone new to step into the spotlight that they just can’t handle.
Brianna Hill: I really don’t need to go into much detail about what I think my chances are in this match because it’s almost a rhetorical question. My chances are great and there is no doubt in my mind that I am going to be the next person to challenge for the National Elite Championship. Simple as that. The other three losers can just start getting used to it now.
(Brianna shoves the microphone back in Kyra’s face as she has a smug look of major confidence. Kyra just shakes her head and continues on with the interview.)
Kyra Phillips: A lot of confidence from Brianna Hill. Thank you, Brianna. Now, Ruler. We are to you.
(Kyra presents Ruler with the microphone and the look on his face hasn’t changed, nor has he even attempted to grab the microphone. Kyra is a little confused with Ruler as she brings the microphone back to herself.)
Kyra Phillips: I apologize about that, Ruler. You might not have heard my question. I was wondering how you feel about this opportunity to become the Number One Contender for the National Elite Championship? I was also wondering how you feel your chances are going into the match at King of Elite?
(Ruler’s expression once again does not change as he turns his head to look at Kyra. Seconds later, his expression shockingly changes as Ruler gets this big… and almost deranged… smile on his face as he looks at Kyra and then looking at most of his competition before he and his Druids just walk away leaving everybody else with confused looks on their faces.)
Kyra Phillips: O… Okay then. I guess that look from Ruler was an answer enough. Thank you
(Ryan and Brianna still have confused looks on their faces as they look the way Ruler went and wonder what in the actual fuck just happened here.)
Ryan Joseph Wilson: That man gets weirder by the second. Doesn’t matter because I am winning that Contender’s Match. Thank you, Kyra.
(Ryan shakes his head and Kyra nods her head in return before walks away in the opposite direction of Ruler as Brianna scoffs and once again rolls her eyes.)
Brianna Hill: That damn psycho bastard isn’t going to take this contendership away from me. Neither is that sickeningly sweet optimist. That match at King of Elite is MINE! Nobody is taking that victory away from me and nobody deserves a chance at a championship more than me. They’ll all soon realize that.
(Brianna looks at Kyra and rolls her eyes in annoyance as she also walks away leaving Kyra by herself backstage. She looks at the camera and all she can do is shrug her shoulders at what just went down.)
Kyra Phillips: Another day at the office here on Showdown. As you can see, we have three very determined and very hungry competitors along with the fourth and final competitor being decided later tonight. (The camera returns to ringside as we have a brief moment of silence between matches, but the silence is quickly gone as the sounds of “Lost In The World” by Kanye West fill the arena. Seconds later, the arena is also filled with loud cheers as Jon Kelton enters the arena. Jon has serious business on his face as he heads to the ring.)
Gina Romano: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the ring at this time… “THE LAST HOPE” JON KELTON!
Deadprez: Thank you, Kyra, and as you can see Jon Kelton is heading to the ring with something on his mind. No doubt at all that it will involve the stylings of one Harper Lee.
Gavin Kirkland: Yeah, she sped up the process of Kelton of screwing up another big match and just put his ass down as he got eliminated from the King of Elite tournament with a countout loss to Cody Maverick.
Eve: You are such an asshole, Gavin. But Kelton gets a chance at some payback against Harper Lee as it will be Kelton and Harper competing in a Number One Contender’s match and the winner of that match will go on to challenge the Answers World Champion, whoever he may be.
Deadprez: Like many matches on the card next weekend, this one will also be a fight between two people who hate each other. Right now, let’s hear what Jon Kelton has to say.
(Kelton passes by Gina Romano, who hands him a microphone before he slides into the ring. His entrance music has faded off and he is letting the crowd continue to cheer for a moment longer before he quiets them down and begins to speak.)
Jon Kelton: You know, before I go into detail about what people want to hear about regarding last week, I feel Iike I should provide a little explanation as to why I did what I did in the Chamber at Road to Redemption.
Jon Kelton: You see, at that moment, I really thought that what I did was the right thing to do. I am not the type of person who would EVER put other people in harm’s way, but what Harper Lee has been doing is absolutely insane.
Jon Kelton: Not only that, she has decided to ride on the dick of another crazy bastard in our “Answers World Champion” Donovan Duke all for the sake of getting a World Title shot like you deserve it. You know what? If Harper is crazy enough to pull that shit and Donovan is crazy enough to let it happen, then those two nutcases deserve to be locked up and they deserve each other.
(The crowd cheers at Kelton’s insults of perhaps the two most hated people on Showdown.)
Jon Kelton: Since we are on the subject of Harper Lee. I have a few things to say to her too. Stupid bitch stuck her nose where it didn’t belong when she cost me my King of Elite Tournament match last week. No doubt she was scared of an Elysium Sweep.
Jon Kelton: No time to be scared now, Harper, because I want you to get your ass out to this ring. Right here and right NOW! Because you see, whoever wins this match will get to challenge for the Answers World Championship and you better believe that it’s not gonna be Harper Le–
(Kelton gets cut off by the sounds of ‘Sweet Dreams’ by Eurythmics playing throughout the arena. The cheers for Kelton have quickly changed to loud and resounding boos as Harper Lee has entered the arena. She doesn’t look mad, but she looks very amused as she heads to the ring.)
Gavin Kirkland: Ask and you shall receive as here comes Harper Lee as she heads to the ring and there is no doubt that Harper is proud of what she did to Jon Kelton last week. That Elysium Sweep got swept right off a cliff.
Eve: Because Harper can’t keep her nose out of other people’s business. She wants a World Championship badly and that isn’t good for Jon Kelton because we all know how dangerous Harper can be. But we also know how dangerous Kelton can be in the ring as well.
Deadprez: Harper better not get too arrogant or else Kelton will have no issue knocking the smile off her face. Then again, Harper isn’t the type of person to let anybody get away with talking trash on her. Let’s see what Harper Lee has to say.
(Harper walks past Gina and snatches a microphone from her while giving her a glare before she enters the ring. She still looks amused as she gets face to face with Kelton as her entrance music slowly fades off and she begins to speak.)
Harper Lee: Well well well. Look at you being all confident and stuff. Good for you. So what’s the matter? Do you not like it when reality hits you in the face? Because it did last week and it will no doubt hit you again.
Harper Lee: Do you know why I deserve the World Title Match? It’s because I absolutely DESERVE IT! I have earned every single bit of it and it isn’t because of what you said I supposedly do to Donovan. You need to watch your mouth when you talk to a lady.
Jon Kelton: I will when I see one.
Harper Lee: OHHHHHHHH. Look who has jokes. The jokes suck, but they are your sad attempt at jokes. I think you are just jealous. You are jealous of the fact that I have earned every bit of a World Championship match and you are the loser who is playing the role of Bronson’s little puppy dog. How cute.
Jon Kelton: Puppy dog? You have no idea what the hell you are talking about.
Harper Lee: Oh I think you know exactly what I am talking about, Jon. So answer me this? How does it feel being the third wheel in your three person crusade against me and Donovan?
Jon Kelton: You are so full of it, Harper. I am not a third wheel.
Harper Lee: Oh but you are, Kelton. Do you even see what’s in front of you? Or are you just that stupid, Kelton? You are a third wheel and you are just putting blinders on to make yourself feel better.
(Harper still has a devilish smirk on her face and Kelton is doing everything he can to control his temper and not give into Harper’s obvious taunting.)
Harper Lee: Seriously? How does it feel watching Bronson and Milli be all over each other like the disgusting and jealous pieces of trash that they are. But where does that leave you? I mean it’s an answer so obvious that it shouldn’t strain any of the few brain cells you have in that head of yours.
Harper Lee: It means that you have NOTHING! That’s a feeling that you should just start accepting now. You are a loser who has NOTHING going for him right now and that is the path that you are going to be sticking to for a very long time. That’s because—
(Kelton has had enough and he just punches Harper right in the face! Harper drops her microphone and holds her face in shock.)
Eve: AND THERE WE GO! I am surprised that Kelton held out this long before popping her in the mouth. Kelton is tired of listening to Harper AS HARPER GOES FOR A CLOTHESLINE–
Gavin Kirkland: AND KELTON WITH A DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN AND THE FIGHT IS ON! KELTON HAS CONTROL AND HE IS JUST TRYING TO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF HARPER! DON’T GET MAD AT HER FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH!
Deadprez: Not the time, Gavin, as Harper has gained control of this fight and the crowd is loving it. They are just beating the hell out of each other.
(Kelton and Harper are still fighting in the middle of the ring as security has come out to the ring and is trying to break apart these two competitors, which gets the crowd booing!)
Gavin Kirkland: It’s about time security got out here. What the hell are they doing? Taking a damn coffee break? Now they are out there, the crowd doesn’t like it at all.
Crowd: LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!
Eve: They wanna see Harper and Kelton continue to beat the hell out of each other. They don’t wanna wait until King of Elite. These two are trying to get away from security to continue fighting.
Deadprez: As true as that is, they might have to wait to see these two fight some more until King of Elite… and what a fight it will be. Harper Lee. Jon Kelton. Winner gets a shot at the Answers World Championship. What a match that is going to be!

Most bought tickets to see this match as the screen flashes the main event graphic and the crowd’s roar and standing ovation can be heard loud and clear. Gina Romano is also here smiling like always as it’s time.)

(‘Kostas’ by Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, and Benny the Butcher hits the PA system, met with loud cheers from the crowd as Cody Maverick slowly walks out through the curtain and stops at the stage. Maverick lowers his eyes and takes a moment for a quick meditation before setting his mind right for this match and raising his eyes to the entrance ramp. Maverick walks down it, heading straight to the ring with determination wearing all over his body and soul.)

Gavin Kirkland: Closing out his last marquee match in 2024 by beating Donovan Duke who later that night went on to become the Answers World Champion. Shockingly defeated Charlie Marr to kick off his run in this tournament. Wiped Jon Kelton out of the tournament despite the controversial ending. Now, he’s a semi-finalist, looking to face yet another huge opponent in his career as Cody Maverick aims to defeat TLA and solidify himself as the true star player of Showdown!
Deadprez: This man hasn’t been playing around since the beginning of this year, and he’s been on a roll so far. He’s been dominating the league and heading straight to the finals, despite still being a hot rookie. Maverick has faced a lot of ups and downs in his career, but now that he’s made it this far, he’s not looking to let the opportunity slip through his fingers.
Eve: The Sin City Superstar is coming to the ring tonight, and he’s looking to move into the finals, take the King of Elite crown, and get even closer to the world championship!
(Maverick enters the ring and looks down at the mat he’s standing on. He slowly takes off his vest, and by the time he finishes, ‘Ambitionz Az a Ridah’ by 2Pac replaces his theme. Maverick slowly turns around to watch the stage as TLA walks out, greeted by a positive reaction that’s slightly louder than what Maverick received tonight per usual. TLA steps down the ramp, marching to the ring with the stylish entrance he always makes fully LOCKED IN for this match.)
Gina Romano: INTRODUCING HIS OPPONENT!… FROM TLAXCALA, MEXICO!… WEIGHING IN AT 210 POUNDS!… THE EAW HALL OF FAMER!… LA PANTERA SEXUAL!… HE IS!… T!… L!… AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gavin Kirkland: The last time we saw TLA getting close to the finals, he was on the verge of becoming the winner before everything was taken away by King Kass. TLA has entered this tournament for many years and continues to do so, but this year has been different.
Eve: TLA has made it to this point, and there’s no stopping him now as he’s looking to finally snatch that crown and add it to his prestigious list of accomplishments. He’s here to be the king!
Deadprez: He ain’t stopping here, and he ain’t stop anytime soon. We know the big guy has a lot to feast on, and he’s not stopping the feast now. He’s looking to take the whole plate, having given the confident Cody that ass whooping, and now heading into the finals to deliver more ass whoopings to the other two finalists!

Gavin Kirkland: It’s the semifinals of Showdown’s King of Elite tournament, and here we go! Bell sounds, and the match is officially underway! We have the hottest rising star on Showdown right now taking on a highly respected veteran who has come close to winning the King of Elite in the past.
Deadprez: Will this finally be TLA’s year, or is it time for Cody Maverick to prove he’s truly “NEXT UP”? We’re about to find out as both men face off in the center of the ring!
Eve: Maverick moves out of the corner, slowly approaching TLA, who watches his steps carefully. Maverick raises his left hand high in the air, signaling for a test of strength. TLA responds by raising his hand as well, locking it with Maverick’s.
Gavin Kirkland: The other hand follows, and the two competitors connect their hands, locking up in a classic test of strength as Both men begin to push against each other using every ounce of their body strength to gain the upper hand!
Deadprez: Maverick starts gaining the advantage over TLA, forcing him back toward the ropes as the referee steps in to break it up. The referee counts, one, two, three, four, and Maverick slowly places his hands on TLA’s chest, taking a step back from the EAW Hall of Famer he just pushed against the ropes…
Eve: JUST FOR TLA TO IMMEDIATELY GRABS MAVERICK AND SWITCHING POSITIONS, PINNING HIM AGAINST THE ROPES INSTEAD! A clever move here, could TLA already be looking to show some tricks he has up his sleeve?
Referee: ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Eve: And TLA slowly removes his hands from Maverick’s chest as both men lock eyes, carefully studying each other as they step back. Seems like TLA isn’t planning to make a move just yet… or is he?
Gavin Kirkland: OUCH! TLA steps forward and DELIVERS A THUNDEROUS CHEST SLAP TO MAVERICK as the sound echoing throughout the arena! But instead of taking it as a serious offense, Maverick takes it as an insult, like being spat in the face!
Deadprez: A sly smile spreads across his face as if the slap has ignited something inside him. Without hesitation, Maverick quickly turns TLA around and delivers a stinging Knife Edge chop of his own across La Pantera Sexual’s chest in retaliation!
Eve: Another chop lands hard across TLA’s chest, followed by a sharp Knife-Edge Chop that pushes him further back against the ropes. TLA is clearly reeling from Maverick’s relentless striking offense. Maverick grabs TLA and attempts to whip him into the ropes!
Gavin Kirkland: TLA reverses it, sending Maverick to the opposite side of the ring instead. Maverick rebounds off the ropes and charges back, colliding with TLA in the center of the ring with a powerful Shoulder Tackle, taking him down!
Deadprez: Maverick takes off running again, bouncing off the ropes. TLA quickly slides underneath him, causing Maverick to leap over and continue to the opposite side of the ring. Maverick rebounds off the ropes once more with TLA avoiding him using a leapfrog, soaring into the air! Maverick turns around just as Maverick charges back AND TLA CATCHES HIM PERFECTLY WITH A HURRICANRANA!!!!!
Eve: The Sin City Superstar struggles to get back to his feet after being caught off guard by TLA’s quick offense.TLA shoots back to his feet as he’s keeping up the momentum with a Dropkick that sends Maverick crashing back down to the mat. Maverick, trying to recover, rolls to the outside of the ring to create some distance!
Gavin Kirkland: That leaves the perfect opening for the former Answers World Champion to strike against the hot rookie who just had his momentum stalled! TLA gets back to his feet, eyes locked on Maverick, who’s still on the outside, just starting to rise. TLA runs toward the ropes, building up speed, and as Maverick gets to his feet, TLA pulls himself over the top rope… TLA FLIES THROUGH THE AIR WITH A SPRINGBOARD SPLASH TO THE OUTSIDE TAKING CODY MAVERICK DOWN!!!!!!

Deadprez: COUNTER! TLA lifts his right boot, catching Maverick’s arm mid-strike! TLA’s boot leaves both men in a precarious position teetering dangerously close to falling off the apron! Eve: Maverick turns around, leaning back against the post to catch his breath. TLA is seen recovering from those back elbows AND HIS FEET MOVING QUICKLY AS HE BUILDS MOMENTUM, CHARGING STRAIGHT AT HIS OPPONENT WHILE STILL ON THE APRON!!!!!

Eve: What a fight indeed. This was the perfect match for a tournament like King of Elite, and both men gave it their all!
Deadprez: TLA has finally claimed his spot in the finals and is preparing to become the king as he promised, but huge props go to Cody Maverick for the hell of an effort he put in tonight as well!
(TLA is being aided back to his feet as the entire crowd in the stands rises to their feet, giving both men a huge ovation. All 3 commentators at the table also stand and offer both men a round of applause.)
(TLA manages to stand on his own, with the referee raising his hand in victory. TLA notices Maverick who is being helped by the referee and seated against the ropes. Maverick looks up with a disappointed expression as he’s clearly regretting the outcome. He palms his face, then rubs it as he looks up at TLA…. as he offers a handshake to Cody Maverick.)
TLA: (Off-Mic) Fair play, amigo. Let’s settle this straight up again one day.
(Maverick looks down for a moment, contemplating whether or not to accept the gesture…. but in the end, he decides to go for it. Maverick accepts the handshake!)
Cody Maverick: (Off-Mic) Sure.
(TLA helps him to his feet, raising Maverick’s hand in the air as the applause from the arena continues to grow.)
