Rising Star of the Week
Limmy Monaghan
Rising Star of the Week for this week is the new PURE Champion, Limmy Monaghan. For weeks Limmy has vowed to become the new “PURE King” and at Road to Redemption he fulfilled his promise by dethroning Dray Fontana, who’s been on an amazing run this season, to win his second Championship and first singles Championship in EAW. This was a big win for Limmy and an amazing way to close out his 2020. Congratulations!
Beef of the Week
EAW Championship Extreme Elimination Chamber (SOSA Henderson vs Azrael vs TLA vs Terry Chambers vs Ahren Fournier vs Rex McAllister)
Beef of the Week for Road to Redemption was the Extreme Elimination Chamber for the EAW Championship. This match featured six extremely talented individuals and in the end all of the promos they put out were nothing short of amazing. As difficult as it was to choose, this may have been the most competitive match at Road to Redemption which is definitely saying something seeing just how much everyone put into their matches. This was a great showing by everyone involved.
Show of the Week
Road to Redemption
There was no other choice, but even if there were there’d be no doubt that Road to Redemption was Show of the Week. This was a fantastic show that featured surprising title changes, amazing matches, and so much more. The anticipation was high and in the end all expectations were shattered. With each match being as good as it could possibly be, Road to Redemption may go down as one of if not the best show of the entire year. Not everyone was able to leave with a victory, but everyone should feel proud of what they put into this show.
Match of the Week
Answers World Championship Extreme Elimination Chamber (Jamie O’Hara vs Jack Ripley vs Lucas Johnson vs Jon Kelton vs Bronson Daniels vs Andea Valentine)
This was a super difficult choice, but Match of the Week for Road to Redemption goes to the Extreme Elimination Chamber for the Answers World Championship. This match featured surprising moments such as Harlow’s revenge on Andrea Valentine, an outstanding performance from Bronson Daniels, and the match ended with a new Champion being crowned in Jack Ripley. This was such a great match and all six competitors were clearly at their best here. What an amazing match.
Promoer of the Week
Rex McAllister & Bronson Daniels
This was too difficult to give to just one competitor, so instead both Rex McAllister and Bronson Daniels are the Promoers of the Week for this week. Bronson Daniels had something to prove as this was his biggest match yet, as did Rex McAllister as this was his first match since Territorial Invasion. In the end both men had such a good performance, one that they should be proud of even if they didn’t walk out of Road to Redemption with the victory. Amazing work by both men.
Champion of the Week
SOSA Henderson
Champion of the Week for Road to Redemption was the winner of the EAW Championship Extreme Elimination Chamber, the ONLY World Championship Chamber to not feature a title change, SOSA Henderson. While the match may not have ended in the cleanest fashion SOSA managed to do exactly what he’s said he would for a long time, and that’s leave Road to Redemption the same way he walked in. At this point it might be a very long time until this man is taken down. Congratulations!
Most Valuable Elitist
Lethal Consequences & Jack Ripley
Again, there was no way this could only go to one person, so this week’s Most Valuable Elitists are Lethal Consequences and Jack Ripley, TWO new World Champions. This was Lethal Consequences’ first World Championship win in ten years, and this was Jack’s first time ever holding one in his career. Both men walked out of their respective Chambers with huge wins, pinning Mr. DEDEDE and Jamie O’Hara respectively to do so. Those are far from easy feats but these two managed to do it, finally capturing World Championship gold in the process. Congratulations to both men, these were without a doubt well deserved victories.
