BLOCK A

Ximena Velasquez vs. Lisa Wren

Two women that were no strangers to each other as they started off in Block A action. :isa was quick with her unorthodox style trying to keep Ximena off-balance and trying to avoid her power but Ximena was able to catch Lisa by seeing an opening and dropping some very devastating power moves in her arsenal to wear Lisa down but Ximena took much of the match for granted and was rather a little overconfident which Lisa exposed hitting the Springboard from the bottom rope double foot stomp to the kidneys really putting the hurtin on Ximena, from there Lisa took over and used her wrestling ability to wear the bigger Ximena down, preventing her from using her strength and really able to put Lisa away, but Wren was fighting a smart match, and as she continued to wear down Ximena, La Diosa was able to reverse Lisa’s attempt at the Double Knee FaceBreaker with a massive powerbomb which opened up the opportunity for Ximena to deliver a massive boot to Lisa as she tried to mount a comeback and finish her off with the “XV” and covering Lisa for the 1-2-3. Winner by Pinfall: in 8:12 XIMENA VELAZQUEZ, who picks up 2 POINTS.

Harper Lee vs. Lila Vandran

As the match started, Lila Vandran came out extremely aggressive almost smothering the surprised Harper Lee, but the Specialist Champion was able to escape and run out of the ring, breaking Lila’s rhythm until the Specialists Champion used her cunning experience to change the course of the match and temper Lila down, Harper had to stay on her feet though as Lila was able to counter quite a few holds and the newcomer even found a way to fight and brawl her way out of the predicament, Lila was able to hit the Mind Spike which turned the tide of the match that had quite a few near falls which surprised both Harper and the fans as they were smelling an upset, but Harper was able to find a few holes in Lila’s offense and surprise her with the Dragon Fist followed by the Ragnarok and not giving Lila any time to recover before executing the House of Balloons and scoring the pinfall. Winner by Pinfall in 9:24 is HARPER LEE, picking up 2 POINTS.

Sierra vs. Miku Sakai

Another Block A match features Dynasty’s Sierra against Voltage’s Miku Sakai. The battle of former Tag Team Champions was very hard hitting due to no love lost between each other. Neither woman was letting up but it was a cheap thumb to the eye that gave Sakai the advantage. Sakai did everything within her power to browbeat and put Sierra down in this match. Sakai went for a Mustache Ride in the corner, but Sierra was able to avoid it and counter into a guillotine leg drop for a near fall. Both women clocked heads which put them both down for a referee’s count of nine then Sierra got a turn in control of the match. The Serotonin elbow almost got Sierra the victory, but Sakai got her feet on the ropes. Sierra was then looking to put the exclamation point on this match and gain a victory with the Prima Donna. Sierra was running up the turnbuckles, but Sakai managed to throw her off and behind her. It was Sakai who quickly grabbed Sierra’s head and used the same path and hit her with the Death Note Asai DDT to end the match and get the pinfall victory in almost 12 minutes. The victory gives Sakai 2 POINTS going into Week 2 of the Iconic Cup.

Becca Black vs. Mary S. Atlas

The next match in Block A features a battle of the Electric Savages and Voltage stars Becca Black and Mary S. Atlas. The match was even in the beginning due to the tag team partners being able to counter each other’s moves. A slip up from Mary gives Becca the advantage. Becca spends the match overpowering Mary and keeping her grounded. Becca left her ground attack and went for her Feelin Froggy frog splash, but it was countered into a Cutter Culture out of nowhere for a close nearfall. Mary kept Becca off kilter with her use of springboard maneuvers to get herself back into the match. Mary tried to finish the match with her Welcome to Maryland facebreaker, but Becca used the move as a catapult to get to the top turnbuckle. In the end, it was Becca Black using the momentum to catch Mary with the Blackout corkscrew stunner and ultimately put Mary S. Atlas down for the pinfall at the 9 minute mark to pick up 2 POINTS in the Iconic Cup. After the match, Becca helps Mary back up to her feet and embrace in the center of the ring before raising each other’s hands to the cheers of the crowd.

BLOCK B

Serenity Valdez vs. Kristen Myers

The first match of Block B was between Serenity Valdez and Kristen Myers, and this match received a very quick start as Serenity Valdez gained the upper hand. Serenity Valdez would show no mercy to Kristen as she even begins to belittle her opponent while in control, but Kristen Myers would fight her way back into the match, utilizing her high flying maneuvers to catch Serenity off guard and make it difficult for her to fight back. Despite this Serenity would constantly find ways to ground Kristen and cut off her offense, making this an uphill battle for Kristen. While on the ring apron Kristen would manage to catch Serenity with her signature springboard missile dropkick, but Serenity would manage to get her shoulder up at two. This would leave Kristen with even more work to do as she looked for ways to put Serenity away, but after Serenity manages to get the knees up to counter a 450 Splash from Kristen, Serenity would lock in the “Poker Face” figure four neck lock, leaving Kristen with no other choice but to tap out as Serenity leaves the 5 minute match with 3 POINTS.

Hikari Kanno vs. Veena Adams

In the second match of Block B, Veena Adams and Hikari Kanno would both look for a very strong start, looking to hit some of their major finishing moves early on, but to no avail. Veena Adams would look for the upper hand as she utilizes many different types of strikes, but Hikari Kanno would manage to find ways to combat this, using submission holds to try and take Veena out of the match. While this wouldn’t work and Veena would manage to fight out of the submission, this wouldn’t take Hikari out of the match, as Hikari would continue to retaliate with her own unique repertoire. Hikari would make an attempt to connect with the “BRIGHTSTAR” Uranage slam, but Veena Adams would counter this before hitting Hikari with a jumping knee strike. Veena Adams would gain the upper hand, and because of this she’d try to take Hikari out with the “Skull Fracture”, but as Hikari Kanno is able to find a counter and avoid the punt kick, she’d quickly grab Veena and plant her with “Alleluia”. This would mark the end of the nine minute match between the two, as Hikari Kanno pins Veena and scores 2 POINTS.

Usagi Senshi vs. Haruka Kashimashi

This match would start off with both competitors locking up and looking for control, but it would not take long for both Elitists to get going, quickly beginning to utilize the hard hitting moves in their arsenal. This match would spill out to ringside early on as Haruka manages to gain control and take Usagi out with a suicide dive, but Haruka’s control over the match would not last, as when the two re-enter the ring, Usagi would surprise Haruka with a pele kick. The two Elitists would continue to go back and forth, hitting suplexes, using submission moves and coming close to putting the match away time and time again. Haruka Kashimashi would try to deliver the “Sunkissed Rhodonite” penalty kick to a seated Usagi Senshi, but when Usagi ducks under it, Usagi would pull Haruka down into a pin, but  before the referee could even start a count Usagi picks Haruka up, and delivers the “Lost in the Fire” Powerbomb double knee backbreaker. As Haruka slowly makes it to a knee Usagi would run in and finish the match off with “Fatality”, pinning Haruka and winning the 7 minute match as Usagi picks up 2 POINTS.

Candice Blair Ava vs. Lexi

The match between Candice Blair Ava and Lexi starts off hot and Lexi slaps the face of Candice who in her rage grabs her by the hair and tackles her to the ground. Eventually Candice ends up on top and manages to apply a rest hold onto Lexi nearly choking her out early on. Candice uses a variety of arm drag variations which deorients Lexi further and almost puts her away with a quick rollup but Lexi manages to avoid having the match stolen from her. Candice eventually goes high risk with a Flying Crossbody but Lexi moves out of the way and she crashes and burns. Lexi then descends on her opponent as she begins to attack. Lexi targets the leg of Candice with an ankle lock but Candice proves too resilient to give up and makes it to the ropes as Lexi throws a tantrum in distress. Lexi retaliates by going for a Flying Stomp off the top ropes but just like with Candice’s attempt to go high risk earlier Lexi fails and falls right into a Bicycle Knee Strike from Candice right to the jaw. However, this only results in a 2 count and Candice immediately transitions into the Diamond Bridge to try to force her opponent to tap out. Lexi screams in pain but manages to break free by using her teeth and clawing at Candice’s eyes to boos from the crowd. She tries to use a steel chair but the referee takes it away and Lexi goes for the FOH on Candice. But Candice manages to avoid it! Candice then connects with the Candy Destroyer which gets the three count and Candice wins the match by pinfall, scoring her 2 POINTS to cheers from a happy crowd. Lexi tries to attack Candice after the match from behind but Candice clotheslines her over the top rope and she runs backstage.
