(EAW intro plays…)
(Friday Night Dynasty intro plays. After a brief recap of last week’s show, the shot transitions to a live look of the sold-out arena. Pyro goes off, then the shot switches over to the commentary team who are on standby, excited as can be.)
Stew-O: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another edition of Friday Night Dynasty! I am Stew-O, and as always I am joined by none other than Jake Mercer and Flannery McCoy!
(Friday Night Dynasty then transitions over, as the sounds of ‘Equus’ by Ne Obliviscaris are heard playing through the speakers of the arena. The crowd erupts into cheers as pyro erupts on the stage, revealing none other than King Sulyvahn IV as he makes his way out. He has a smile on his face, hyping up everyone in the arena, before he then begins to make his march down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome… KING SULYYYVAHNNNNN IVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stew-O: Last week we beared witness to a bombshell of a reveal, as it was King Sulyvahn IV who confronted Drake King inside of the ring to kick off the show and challenged him to a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity.
Flannery McCoy: And that was the last thing that Drake King expected to come about; needless to say, it is something that he, along with everyone else here, has no idea what is in store! We know about the legacy of the Sulyvahn lineage in professional wrestling, but when it comes to the fourth specifically, there’s no telling. We may very well see a new World Heavyweight Champion at Reckless Wiring!
Jake Mercer: He’s wearing a salmon-colored suit right now! That’s swag! That’s aura! I can’t lie, I felt it from the moment he entered the building; this is a man that means business.
(Sulyvahn makes his way up the steps as he climbs up to the top rope, spreading his arms out as even more pyro is seen erupting out. As he jumps down, he makes his way over and takes a microphone from the ringside area, all while ‘Equus’ begins to come to a close. As he heads toward the center of the ring, he takes a moment before beginning to speak.)
King Sulyvahn IV: So! What do you all wish to inquire about?
(The crowd cheers loudly as Sulyvahn nods his head, smiling as he continues.)
King Sulyvahn IV: Personally, I know what I wish to inquire about, and that is Reckless Wiring. The very first Dynasty-exclusive Marquee Event of the season, an event that is not one that you are going to want to miss. The field has been shaken up! Season 20 has proven that change is inevitable. And it seems, in a way, I’ve become the face of such change here on Dynasty. I mean, why wouldn’t I? My first appearance in this company was confronting the World Heavyweight Champion, staking my claim for the title, and making a match official immediately! There are not a lot of people out there who can say that they’ve done the same thing… but that doesn’t make me any different from the likes of yourself.
(Sulyvahn glances around, a contemplative look while he does.)
King Sulyvahn IV: I have watched, just like all of you, and seen what Drake King has done to that title in the short time that he has held it, and needless to say, I am filled to the brim with nothing but disgust. The World Heavyweight Championship represents the PINNACLE of professional wrestling; it is the very precipice of the business, and what everyone in this company fights for. But it is clear to me, as ironic of a statement as this is, that it has fallen into *Hell* in the hands of Drake King. That he has done nothing but sully the great name of this title for as much as he humanly can, and while so many people have called for an end to this tyranny, only one man has stepped up, and that person is me. So I am looking to nip this in the bud in a hurry; trust me when I say that.
(Sulyvahn begins to pace around, looking down at the ground.)
King Sulyvahn IV: I know words don’t hold as much value as actions do in this business, but all I can ask of you is to trust me when I say this: When all the cards are down, when the deck is stacked against me, and when my back is against the wall, that is where I thrive. I told Drake King that the biggest enemy that he has to worry about is the one that he does not know, and while I am sure that he will get an introduction tonight when I face Michael Machina in the main event, I know without a shadow of a doubt that he will still have no idea the ace that I have up my sleeve given the right opportunity.
(Sulyvahn smirks, as the crowd continues to show their support.)
King Sulyvahn IV: With that being said, Drake King, I don’t know if you wish to make your presence felt in this moment, but I damn sure hope that you are listening. All your questions will be answered come Reckless Wiring, and when the smoke clears, only one of us is going to be standing tall, and trust that I am going to do everything in my power to make sure that it is me as your NEW World Heavyweight Champion-
(Sulyvahn is interrupted as the sounds of ‘When Darkness Falls’ by Killswitch Engage begin to play up. The crowd immediately begins to erupt into thunderous boos as the camera goes over to the stage, revealing Drake King as he’s seen making his way out from the backstage area. He has the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist, glaring at the ring with visible unhappiness, as he begins to make his way down the ramp and toward the ring.)
Stew-O: Here comes the Champion, and needless to say, he is very frustrated by someone who has only been here for two weeks coming in and challenging him for the World Title. It’s not something that he takes very kindly to.
Flannery McCoy: But he expected this much heading into it, that there were going to be people who did everything in their power to try and take him out. It’s something that he’s prepared himself for. Regardless of the competition and regardless of what they have in store, he knows that the climb starts now, and it just so happens to start with the man inside of that ring.
Jake Mercer: I’m thinking of joining his church. Do you think that I’m going to get scammed?
Stew-O: Yes.
(Drake makes his way up the steps and onto the apron as he enters through the ropes and into the ring. He makes his way over and takes a microphone from the ringside area as ‘When Darkness Falls’ begins to come to a close. He turns around and approaches Sulyvahn, taking a moment before exhaling as he speaks.)
Drake King: I will truly never understand the inner machinations of this business.
(The crowd boos loudly as Drake shakes his head, continuing to look at Sulyvahn.)
Drake King: How we will be so quick to roll the red carpet out for someone who just got here, under the guise of their legacy and pedigree, while at the same time… allowing for everyone else around them, more specifically, the ones who have been here and continued to break their back for this business, to burn. This is what we are doing right now, and you know what the most frustrating thing about all of this is? It’s the fact that there are some people out there who think in their right mind that you are going to be the one who ends this before it even starts. They think that you are going to be the one to beat me for the World Heavyweight Championship. Well, they are WRONG.
(Sulyvahn has a serious expression on his face as he continues to listen intently to what Drake King has to say.)
Drake King: They have no idea what they believe because they do not have the capabilities to think for themselves. I gave them a chance to open their eyes and join my ranks, and look at the culture that you have cultivated on this brand in the short time that you have been here. You should be disappointed in yourself, Sulyvahn. I do not imagine that you fully understand it yet; perhaps your twisted perception stems from your lineage and their dated way of thinking, but if I have to beat it into you to make sure that you are never going to pull a stunt like this again, then it is something that I am more than ready to do.
King Sulyvahn IV: Firstly, you will take my family’s name out of your mouth. I have understood from the very beginning that there is no low that you will stoop to prove your point, and I am not going to entertain any of it if that means that you are going to try and run my name through the mud, something that you know is fruitless because I am the LAST person that you want to try and do that with. If this is the game that you want to play, Drake, so be it, but I’m not just going to allow you to make me your punching bag for your own selfish needs. I am not going to give you a MOMENT to breathe…
Drake King: Is that what you truly believe? Is that the ship that you want to go down with, Sulyvahn? Fine. But I truly do not think that you understand any of what you’re getting yourself into, and it’s not wrong for me to assume that you are way out of your depth. This is a whole other animal compared to wherever you came from, and you’re going to realize real quick that this company does not reward people who come in here and think that they can just take what they want. Tyrone Montgomery and his corrupt management may have opened the door for you to take this opportunity, but I’M going to be the one to end it.
King Sulyvahn IV: My time does not DESERVE to be wasted by someone who deems me to be lower than what I truly am by his own absurd standards, so I beg of you, Drake… look at this at face value. Not for my sake, but for *yours.* There is a reason this company didn’t slam the door shut on me when I went out here and challenged you for the World Heavyweight Championship; there is a reason why I am still out here, proclaiming that this title is my BIRTHRIGHT. Why…?
(Sulyvahn approaches Drake, who is scowling at him.)
King Sulyvahn IV: Because for as good a Champion as you are, Dynasty and EAW both know… that there is nobody out there that would represent this company better than *me.*
(The crowd oohs as Drake’s expression sinks, a look of frustration continuing to wash over him, more prolific than before.)
King Sulyvahn IV: So in my eyes, Drake… *We’re done here.*
(Sulyvahn drops his microphone down to the ground as he turns around, beginning to make his way out of the ring. But as Drake continues to glare at him…)
Stew-O: AND DRAKE COMES FROM BEHIND AND GOES FOR A MICROPHONE SHOT TO THE BACK OF SULYVAHN’S HEAD WHILE HE’S NOT LOOKING!
Flannery McCoy: BUT SULYVAHN DUCKS UNDER THAT! HE GRABS A HOLD OF DRAKE FROM BEHIND AND SETS HIM UP!
Jake Mercer: GOING FOR SATURATE-
Stew-O: BUT DRAKE MANAGES TO SHOVE HIM AWAY AND RETREAT OUT OF THE RING! HIS ATTACK FAILED, AND NOW HE HAS TO PAY THE PRICE WITH KING SULYVAHN IV BREATHING DOWN HIS NECK!
(Drake stumbles backward, clutching his World Heavyweight Championship close to his chest, while Sulyvahn is seen rolling up his sleeves and unbuttoning his shirt, yelling at him to get in the ring and finish this. But the Champion wants nothing to do with that, as he starts to backpedal up the ramp.)
Flannery McCoy: And could this be a preview of what we see at Reckless Wiring in a couple of weeks time?
Jake Mercer: Don’t even joke, lad. If Sulyvahn wins the World Heavyweight Championship on his very first Marquee Event, then the roof on the building would quite literally explode! But at the same time, he’s facing Drake King! All I know for sure…
Stew-O: This will be a battle.
Jake Mercer: Yep.
(‘Equus’ begins to blast through the speakers once more as Sulyvahn climbs up to the top rope, hyping up the crowd while pointing at Drake, who looks furious at the top of the ramp, practically shaking with anger at this point after all that has gone down. The very last shot seen is Sulyvahn getting down onto his knees at the center of the ring, kissing the mat, as Friday Night Dynasty begins to fade to elsewhere.)
(A commercial plays for Reckless Wiring.)
Stephie Love: The following is scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘Human Graduation’ by mercuro hits the speakers and Haruka Kashimashi makes her way out from the back, immediately to boos from the crowd. She doesn’t waste time dwelling on their reactions, instead focusing on the match ahead of her.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first, weighing in at 120 pounds, residing in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, she is “THE MAIDEN OF MADNESS” … HARUUKKKA KASSSHHIIIMAAAASSSHHHIIIII!!!!
(‘Human Nature’ by Michael Jackson hits the speakers afterwards and Hanako Nanami makes herw ay out to the ring, in contrast, to cheers. She tags the fans on her way down, sliding into the ring and climbing the middle rope, pointing out to everyone cheering her on.)
Stephie Love: Her opponent, weighing in at 110 pounds, from Kyoto, Japan, she is “PINK VENOM” … HAANNNAAAKKKOOO! NNAANNAAAMMMMIIII!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stew-O: The bell sounds and IMMEDIATELY, Kashimashi and Nanami go at it! Haruka swings a boot to the chest of Hanako, but she sidesteps it and sweeps her onto her back! Hanako leaps into a double foot stomp, but Haruka rolls out of the way! Both women pop to their feet and Hanako nails her with a forearm, and then a spinning thrust kick to the ribs.
Jake Mercer: Hanako comes off the ropes, and Haruka drops down, tripping her! She transitions into a grounded side headlock, but Nanami is already fighting up to her feet. Haruka does her best to hold Hanako back, but Hanako brings her to the ropes and sends her off.
Flannery McCoy: Nanami dropkicks Haruka in the chest, and she kips up. Haruka rolls over, holding at her chest. Hanako drags her up and leans her on the ropes, sending her across the ring, only for Haruka to counter! Hanako bounces off the ropes, sending an elbow her way, but Haruka sidesteps it and takes the wrist, twirling around into an armdrag!
Stew-O: Hanako bounces off and Haruka responds with a kick to that same arm. Hanako grimaces in pain, and then Haruka responds with an arm wringer. She pulls on the wrist of Hanako, and slams her shoulder into hers. She then trips Hanako onto her back, kneeling on her bicep and twisting the wrist. Hanako is in a bad way right now!
Jake Mercer: Hanako extends her leg, trying to get the ropes, but now it’s Haruka who begins to bend her wrist back. She stands, trying to stomp on it, but Hanako twirls her body in time, and forces Haruka to apply a wrist lock instead. Hanako frontrolls, and then side rolls, kipping up and arm dragging Haruka off of her!
Flannery McCoy: Hanako is up and she forearms Haruka. She grabs Haruka by the head and then rolls around her, looking for a Russian legsweep. Haruka blocks it, elbowing Hanako in the abdomen. She takes the arm and turns her around, wanting a backslide pinfall, but Hanako stalls it. Nanami leaps onto the middle rope, backrolling off of Haruka and instead bringing her down for an inside cradle!
OOOONNNNEEEEE!!!
Stew-O: Kick out from Haruka! Both women rise and Hanako boots her across the jaw! Haruka turns on impact, and Hanako leaps onto the shoulders, trying a poison—no! Haruka with ani inverted alabama slam instead, knocking Hanako hard on the face! Haruka backpedals, holding her jaw. She felt every bit of that boot, and now she’s going to do her best to shrug it off and keep pushing!
Jake Mercer: Hanako is up and Haruka runs off the ropes, bypassing her. Hanako looks up, and here comes Haruka with a ROLLING WHEEL KICK! Nanami is out of it, and Kashimashi quickly rises up to her feet. She drags Hanako up and lifts her up for an URANAGE BACKBREAKER! Hanako cries out in pain, and Kashimashi hooks the legs!
OOOONNNNNEEEEE!!
T—
Flannery McCoy: Kick out by Nanami! Haruka shakes her head, pulling her up. She throws her into the turnbuckles and runs into a shoulder thrust! Hanako grimaces, and now Kashimashi follows through with repeated shoulder thrusts to the abdomen! Hanako is in pain, and Haruka takes the wrist, sending her across the ring with an irish whip. Kashimashi runs across, leaping onto the knees for a monkey flip–
Stew-O: Hanako turns her around and sits her up on the top rope! Hanako hangs onto that same top rope and uses it to propel herself into an enzuigiri! Haruka is unable to block it and she falls off the top rope, bouncing onto the apron and straight to the floor! Haruka lies there, holding her head in pain. Hanako takes a moment to recover, then she sees her opening!
Jake Mercer: Nanami exits to the apron and she begins to climb up to the top rope! Kashimashi slowly rises, holding at her head. She turns around and looks up to Hanako on the top rope… AND NANAMI WITH A DIVING MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP ROPE! GOODNESS! WHAT A WAY TO KICK THINGS OFF! KASHIMASHI IS OUT OF IT, AND HANAKO IS FEELING THE ENERGY RIGHT NOW!
Flannery McCoy: Hanako drags Haruka up and she throws her into the ring! Hanako hops onto the apron and she climbs up once again, aiming down at Haruka who isn’t moving! She leaps off the top rope! DIVING DOUBLE FOOT STOMP! THE COVER AFTERWARDS!
OOOONNNNNEEEEE!!
TTTTWWWWOOOOO!!!
Stew-O: KICK OUT FROM KASHIMASHI! She rolls over, clutching at the abdomen. Hanako drags her up and she begins to pummel her with palm strikes to the face! Kashimashi covers up to the best of her ability, but it’s no use! Hanako takes her by the head and leans her down, double underhooking the arms!
Jake Mercer: She heaves her up for a tiger—no! Haruka drops down! Back body drop! Nanami holds her back as she hits the canvas hard. Haruka runs the ropes quickly, and Hanako begins to rise… EUROPEAN UPPERCUT FROM KASHIMASHI, TURNING HARUKA! She steps in front of her, and levels her with a PELE KICK!
Flannery McCoy: Everything is coming together for Kashimashi right now, and she knows that! She lifts Hanako up to her feet and lifts her up onto her shoulder. Haruka marches to the center of the ring, forcing Nanami in position…
Stew-O: ‘PHILOSOPHY OF THE DAMNED!’ A MODIFIED AIR RAID CRASH RIGHT ON THE KNEE! SHE GOT HER! KASHIMASHI HOOKS THE LEGS, AND NANAMI ISN’T MOVING!
OOOONNNNNEEEEE!!
TTTTWWWWOOOOO!!!
Jake Mercer: But she finds it in her to get a shoulder up just in time! Haruka is seething! She mounts Hanako and immediately starts raining down forearms! Hanako’s head bounces off the canvas with every single forearm, and Haruka rises to her feet, pacing.
Stew-O: She exits to the apron, making her way up top. Hanako rolls over, still clutching at the neck. Haruka is clearly aiming to continue and hurt it, and she’s got her in prime position for exactly that!
Flannery McCoy: Kashimashi dives off the top rope, taking Nanami out with a DIVING BLOCKBUSTER! Hanako is down and out, and Kashimashi clearly takes delight in that! Hanako isn’t moving whatsoever, and Haruka has all the time in the world to follow through and keep this match in her favor!
Jake Mercer: Haruka rises to her feet and she grabs Hanako by the hair, pulling her away before she can go for the cover. Haruka sends repeated knees to the neck of Hanako, then pulls her up. She throws her to the ropes and runs in for another knee, but Hanako bounces off and blocks it!
Stew-O: Quickly, Haruka swings a slap, but Hanako captures her hand and slaps the chest! She transitions to a wrist lock and spins underneath Haruka, taking her out with a wrist-lock HOOK KICK! Haruka falls to her knees, but Hanako then transitions to a double chickenwing!
Flannery McCoy: Beautiful grappling and transitions from Nanami, who lifts Haruka up high in the air… ‘TIGER SUPLEX ‘03!’ IT CONNECTS! NANAMI WASTES NO TIME, BRIDGING THE PINFALL!
OOOONNNNNEEEEE!!
TTTTWWWWOOOOO!!!
TTTTHHHHH—
Jake Mercer: KICK OUT FROM KASHIMASHI! Hanako shakes her head, but she’s gotta keep it going! She rolls Haruka to her knees and quickly rises to her feet. Hanako quickly runs off the ropes, seeing a clear opening to follow through and get the win!
Stew-O: ‘NATURAL BORN KN–’ NO! HARUKA BLOCKS IT! Hanako hits the canvas hard, and she holds her knee! Haruka grabs the leg of Hanako and she rolls her over into a HALF CRAB! Haruka pulls back on the ankle of Hanako, doing all that she can to neutralize Pink Venom! Nanami grimaces, reaching for the ropes!
Flannery McCoy: Haruka keeps bending back on the leg, but will it be enough to win this match?! Hanako keeps pushing forward, doing all that she can in order to get to the ropes! Haruka sees this and she looks to pull her back, but Hanako rolls over, sending a kick to the side of Haruka’s ear! Another kick!
Jake Mercer: And then, she shoves Haruka away with all of her might! Kashimashi goes down, and Hanako rolls over, rising to her feet. Hanako is up, and she sees Haruka rising. She nails her with a BIG elbow to the jaw! Kashimashi bounces off the ropes…
Stew-O: Hanako winds back for another elbow, but Haruka dropkicks the knees out! Hanako falls flat onto her face, and Haruka rises up, rolling Hanako over! She crosses both legs, turning her over into ‘SCORCHED BY MADNESS!’ THE SCORPION CROSS LOCK IS IN, AND THIS ISN’T GOOD FOR HANAKO, WHO HAD TO DO EVERYTHING IN HER POWER TO JUST ESCAPE THE HALF CRAB!
Flannery McCoy: KASHIMASHI PULLS BACK ON THE ARMS OF NANAMI! She cries out in agony, but Haruka refuses to let go! She continues to keep that hold in, but Hanako shakes her head! She won’t give in so easily!
Jake Mercer: Nanami continues to resist! She shakes the arms of Haruka, and she continues to fight and fight it! Kashimashi is doing everything in her power to keep going, but Hanako’s resistance is beginning to tire her! Hanako fights it!
Stew-O: She’s pushing against the arms of Haruka! Hanako beginning to break free—she’s got one arm! She sends a back elbow to Haruka! And another one! AND HARUKA RELEASES THE HOLD! Both women collapse, gasping for air. Haruka reaches out, and Hanako grabs her, both women using each other to rise!
Flannery McCoy: Haruka with a back swing to Nanami, who ducks into a GERMAN SUPLEX! Kashimashi is down, and Nanami still needs time to rise! But these fans are getting behind Nanami, helping will her back to her feet and into this match! This is her chance to capitalize and go through with winning the whole damn thing!
Crowd: CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!
Jake Mercer: You hear these fans clapping! Nanami rolls to the ropes and she takes them, using them to rise up to her feet. Kashimashi is beginning to stand as well, but it’s debatable if she should! It doesn’t look to be very good for her right now!
Stew-O: Kashimashi is up, and she tries to get the ropes, but she stumbles backwards, missing her chance! She’s off balance, and Nanami quickly leaps to the middle rope, diving off with ‘LOVE DELUXE!’ THE SPRINGBOARD CUTTER CONNECTS! HARUKA IS OUT OF IT!
Flannery McCoy: Nanami is feeling it now! She doesn’t want to go for the cover, she wants to put a stamp on this match! Nanami pulls Kashimashi up to her feet, spinning underneath. Hanako sets up for ‘SAKURA SUNR–’NO! KASHIMASHI HANGS ONTO HER!
Jake Mercer: KASHIMASHI GRABS HANAKO AND THROWS HER FACE-FIRST INTO THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! NO! HANAKO CATCHES HERSELF IN TIME, AND SHE LANDS ON THE MIDDLE ROPE! Kashimashi charges in, but Nanami gets her with a mule kick straight to the jaw!
Stew-O: Haruka falls back, and Hanako then leaps to the top rope, swiveling in mid-air! She dives off the top…! ‘CARNATION STOORRMMM!’ IT CONNECTS! NANAMI HOOKS THE LEGS!
OOOONNNNNEEEEE!!
TTTTWWWWOOOOO!!!
TTTTHHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner of this match, HHAANNNAAKKKOO! NNAANNAAMMMIII!
(Nanami rolls off of Haruka, feeling an adrenaline spike after picking up the win. She rises to her feet, throwing her arms out in elation. The referee takes her arm and raises it up, and she nods to the fans cheering.)
Flannery McCoy: What a match! And Hanako Nanami gets herself on the board with an impressive victory over Haruka Kashimashi!
Stew-O: Both women had a great performance here, and you can tell that they *really* wanted the win, but it was Hanako who pulled out all of the stops to get the win!
Jake Mercer: Absolutely! I’m looking forward to what they both bring to the table from here on out, congratulations to Nanami again!
(A commercial plays for Wingstop.)
(The Friday Night Dynasty video feed shifts to a view of the backstage where Hanako Nanami can be seen taking a breather in the halls following her match against Haruka. Her brief reverie is interrupted when none other than Wonder Woman herself, Winona Hendrickson, approaches her, prompting Hanako to turn and face her.)
Winona Hendrickson: Nice match out there.
Hanako Nanami: I appreciate that. I also appreciate the match that we had together… regardless of what the result turned out to be.
(Winona tilts her head, but Hanako continues speaking.)
Hanako Nanami: You have my congratulations on the victory; I don’t have any shame for the loss, because I experienced first-hand in the ring what a capable competitor that you are.
Winona Hendrickson: Thank you; I made it clear in advance that I intend to break any ceilings over my head and become the standard, but that doesn’t become reality until I make it so through effort. You made me put in quite the effort to put you down, so rest assured that the feeling is mutual.
Hanako Nanami: If it’s all the same with you, I don’t want last week’s match to be the only one. I’ve reviewed the tapes and reflected on the match in my own mind… I could have done better, and I think going at it with you yet again is only going to push me to be a better version of myself. That’s what you’d want too, right? Being the standard bearer that pushes your peers forward and makes them push you forward in return?
Winona Hendrickson: Of course! If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m never the one to turn down a fight, especially with an honorable fighter such as yourself. If you think you could give me a better fight in that ring by fighting me again, then consider this to be an open invitation to make that fight happen. Anytime, anywhere; I’m sure that the experience will make me a better fighter too.
(A bit of a sly grin graces Winona’s face.)
Winona Hendrickson: With that being said… I don’t plan on losing, even if it is your second shot.
Hanako Nanami: Hah! I wouldn’t want it any other way. If you went into the match expecting to lose, that wouldn’t be your best, now, would it?
Winona Hendrickson: You’ve got that right.
(The two elitists seemed to be enjoying the company and the mutual competitive fervor brimming between them, but the aura of friendly competition got pierced the moment Rei Oboro showed up, an unsettlingly wide smile on her face.)
Rei Oboro: Ahaha! What fun! Are you two enjoying yourselves, being each other’s cheerleaders in a sport designed to push people to their mental brink?
Hanako Nanami: Rei, what do you want?
Rei Oboro: Me? I don’t want anything back here. All the fun to be had…
(She points to a screen with a video feed of the squared circle.)
Rei Oboro: Is over there. Not patting each other on the backs with whatever this is supposed to be, but the HUNT itself. Peeling away the layers of these ‘honorable fighters’ through tension and overwhelming force until they’re turned into their true, raw selves, the people they can only be when they’re pushed to their breaking points.
Rei Oboro: That won’t happen with all this cheery camaraderie, you know. All you’re doing for yourselves is digging each other’s graves so you can jump on in together. Cute, but ineffective.
Hanako Nanami: Awfully haughty talk for someone that hasn’t done much of anything since they’ve shown up. Are you really in a position to be lecturing us on the proper way to approach this business? You with what credibility? You with what legacy?
Rei Oboro: Legacy? Credibility? Please. The major misunderstanding you seem to have is that I’m here to chase the limelight, to sycophantically pander to the crowd and the other wrestlers, to punch my way into the Hall of Fame, or something equally meaningless. That couldn’t be further from the case for me.
Hanako Nanami: What ARE you here for, then?
Rei Oboro: It’s quite simple, really. Didn’t you hear me before? I’m here for the hunt. I’m here to bring about as much misery as possible, to melt through the shields that people like you two bring up. Dealing with all this patting each other on the back is obscenely boring to me. The better question in my mind is…
(Hanako theatrically measures up both Winona and Hanako.)
Rei Oboro: What is BENEATH the facade? What do you two become when the friendliness has been torn away and you’re faced with such overwhelming pressure that you either snap or die? THAT… is what I am more interested in. Don’t worry; you’ll get a taste of that soon enough. It’s only a matter of time, if you’re on the same brand as me.
(Rei Oboro smiles at the two of them, a truly unsettling smile, before she walks past them down the hallway. Hanako and Winona both stare at her as she walks away, bewildered, before turning back towards each other and shaking their heads in disbelief. The video feed lingers…)
(But instead of fading away, it turns to reveal another figure that watched the entire scene take place. None other than the Sovereign, the Archdragon, David Gideon Smith himself, who appears lost in thought, intrigued at the conflicting ideologies on display from Rei’s interaction with the other two elitists. The video feed fades to black as David’s eyes narrow, observing his peers with great interest.)
(Backstage, Anna Wautier can be seen making her way down the corridor. The New Breed Championship is held on her shoulder. She’s walking a bit slower, pain continuing to course through her after the events of last week. However, the champion is steadfast—until, her attention lands on someone leaning against the wall.)
Anna Wautier: Hmph.
(She steps up to them, moving a bit faster. When the camera pans, the person is revealed to be AKIZA. She glances over, noticing the sudden presence, and a cruel smirk crosses her face.)
AKIZA: Oh? And what has gotten your face all sour.
Anna Wautier: I believe you know the answer to that already.
AKIZA: Do I?
(AKIZA rolls her neck, nonchalant as ever. However, she soon presses herself from the wall and eyes her down more intently, slanting her head.)
AKIZA: Lemme guess: you’re still feeling raw that I was able to come up from behind and stole your thunder. Figures. But is it my fault you felt yourself so vulnerable when you’re supposed to not only being a champion but more experienced than me here? Tsk. What did you think was going to happen?
Anna Wautier: I don’t know—but considering you and I have never even crossed paths before, I feel as though your attempt to seek a moment at my expense was ill-advised.
AKIZA: Ha! And what difference does that make? You said you wanted to handle me, TFK and Yanni; you decided to put the three of us on your radar thanks to me, and now, I’m on the cusp of getting to become a champion at *your* expense. A shame, because that moment you had a month ago was a sweet one, but all good things must come to an end, and I have no issues with showing to someone how stupid they are to make rash decisions.
Anna Wautier: Stupid? No. I think that would be better suited for you. I am not easy pickings. I am someone who cares about this championship, and I certainly care about being able to defend myself. Still, even if I didn’t have this title… there was no way I was ever going to allow you to get away with what you did to me. Actions have consequences, AKIZA, and you will learn soon enough what that entails.
AKIZA: Yeah? As if I need to be taught anything. Such a naive thing you are, but it cannot be helped. I do not need a lecture, least of all from the likes of you, dearest Anna.
(AKIZA takes a step forward, but another person comes in.)
???: Having fun?
(Yanni Killbrew comes up, having heard the commotion from a distance. He looks unimpressed at both Anna and AKIZA.)
Yanni Killbrew: This whole prey and predator thing is becoming a bit pathetic, especially when I’m just as involved. I see nothing more than two weaklings who desire to be stronger than the other, but in the end, there will be little difference that separates you. Anna is naive, but you, AKIZA, are a snake whose venom doesn’t sting as much as you like to think it does.
AKIZA: Heh. You’re one to talk, Yanni. You think this poetic horsecrap makes you a meaningful threat? Please. You’re just a temporary issue; one that I won’t have any issue handling myself.
Yanni Killbrew: And more worthless words being spewed at me. Hardly anything convincing. You have little stake here in this promotion or this sport for that matter, so what you have to say has little value to me.
(He glances toward Anna.)
Yanni Killbrew: Especially when I am the one who will become the new New Breed Champion.
(Anna meets his gaze, face remaining unfazed.)
Anna Wautier: Won’t be happening. It’s just like what I told AKIZA–yet, she and I are the same? Funny. I can say the same thing about you two.
Yanni Killbrew: Perhaps, on the surface you can. We are after all both challengers in this instance. However, that is the only similarity we share. I intend on making sure to get across why that is the case.
(Anna scoffs, shaking her head. However, AKIZA’s eyes drift, sensing someone else arriving.)
AKIZA: Oh, and would you look at that? It’s the guy who wishes to cosplay as some meandering hero.
(TFK steps in, and he immediately brushes away her words.)
TFK: Says someone who thinks she can be some sort of antithesis to that. But nothing about me screams cosplay and I am not pretending to be a hero. You two thought you could get the better of Anna, and while I am just as competitive, there is a right and wrong way of handling things.
(A smirk cracks through.)
TFK: I think I showed why that is the case.
AKIZA: With a chair? How brave of you…
TFK: Well, it made you two scurry like rats, so I’d say it was pretty effective.
Yanni Killbrew: Don’t get ahead of yourself. I simply wasn’t going to be foolish enough to face you without a weapon.
TFK: Yeah? I wonder why? Perhaps you realized your own cowardice wasn’t going to amount to luck after all?
Yanni Killbrew: Hung up on that match, I see. However, I simply did what I had to do to win. That’s not cowardice—that is strategy. You may not have to like it, and there is a reason why I seldom resort to such tactics, but in a match like that, I decided to be smart. It paid off.
AKIZA: Pfft. Won’t pay off for much longer.
(AKIZA turns to Anna.)
AKIZA: And that goes for you, too. I mean, are you sure you’re ready for all of this? Could be getting more than you bargained for.
Anna Wautier: I am not the one who should be getting asked if I am getting more than I bargained for–it’s the three of you, because I have shown I am willing to do whatever it takes to win and I do not give up easily. This may be a test just for the fact I have more than one set of eyes trained on me… but I am not backing down. And you need to understand that.
(Anna looks over at all three of them before she walks off, and from there, the shot fades elsewhere…)
Stephie Love: The following contest is scheduled for…
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(“Memory” by Mercy Drive began to play through the speakers of the arena as Delaney Rhodes made her way out onto the stage with a grin on her face, as she looked around at the sea of fans, taking it all in, before she finally made her way down to the ring.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first! Hailing from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, weighing in at 118lbs pounds.. THE SHARPSHOOTER!! DELANEY RHODES!!!
(Delaney entered the ring, before finally “Ballad of The Prodigal Son” by Lincoln Durham had started to blast throughout the arena! The Unkillable, Kirk Redwood making his way out to the ring, with a laser focused smug on his face..)
Stephie Love: And her opponent! Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts!! Weighing in at 210lbs!! He is.. THE UNKILLABLE!! KIRRK REDWOOOD!!!
(DING!! DING!!! DING!!)
Flannery McCoy: Here we go, Delaney Rhodes had a great showing last week! But she was not able to get the win.. Will she be able to do it here tonight against Kirk Redwood??
Stew-O: Well it will most certainly be a hard task! The bell rang and now both competitors began to circle the ring.
Jake Mercer: Delaney shoots towards Kirk’s legs for a double leg takedown to the canvas! AND SHE GETS IT! PUSHING KIRK’S LEGS BACK INTO A PIN!! THE REF DROPS DOWN TO COUNT!
(ONEEEE!!)
Flannery McCoy: KIRK KICKS OUT BEFORE THE COUNT CAN CONTINUE AND BOTH KIRK REDWOOD AND DELANEY GET BACK TO THEIR FEET… Kirk Redwood rushes at Delaney..
Stew-O: BUT DELANEY LEVELS KIRK REDWOOD WITH A HUGE SUPERKICK THAT SENDS HIM REELING BACK!! HE’S STUNNED!! And Delaney slips around Kirk Redwood and she grabs hold of Kirk Redwood around the waist…she’s looking for a German Suplex here!
Jake Mercer: BACK ELBOW SENDS DELANEY STUMBLING BACK AND INTO THE CORNER!! Kirk Redwood turns around and he RUSHES AT DELANEY FOR A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT INTO THE CORNER!!
Flannery McCoy: Kirk Redwood is charging towards the opposite corner, I don’t Believe that he’s done with Delaney Rhodes! He rebounds out of the corner… running back towards Delaney!! BUT DELANEY CATCHES HIM OFF GUARD WITH A HUGE DIVING CROSSBODY!! SHE HOOKS THE LEG!!
(ONEEE!!)
(TW—)
Stew-O: KIRK REDWOOD KICKS OUT WITH SOME AUTHORITY!!
Jake Mercer: Delaney climbs up onto her feet. She’s going to take a high risk here! Climbing up to the top turnbuckle and balancing herself, before she leaps off!! FOR A MOONSAULT!! LOOKING TO CONNECT WITH “SKYWAY!!”
Flannery McCoy: BUT KIRK REDWOOD ROLLS TOWARDS THE CORNER!! CAUSING DELANEY TO CRASH AND BURN!
Stew-O: Kirk Redwood rises to his feet as Delaney is already starting to get to a vertical base, instinctively grabbing her abdomen. But Kirk is giving her no remorse!! DRILLING HER WITH A RUNNING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!! He just blasted her!! And Delaney Rhodes is down!
Jake Mercer: Kirk Redwood is not looking to allow Delaney to get an upset win over him tonight. And he’s not even close to being done. He grabs Delaney by the hair, pulling her to her feet and he’s JUST STRUCK HER WITH AN OPEN PALM STRIKE TO THE JAW!! FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER ONE!! AND ANOTHER ONE!!!
Flannery McCoy: Kirk Redwood grabs hold of Delaney, sending her towards the ropes with an Irish whip! Delaney rebounds off of the ropes! She ducks under a Lariat attempt from Kirk Redwood!! And runs the ropes again! And she charges in at Kirk Redwood.. CONNECTING WITH A LEAPING LARIAT!!
Stew-O: BUT KIRK REDWOOD CAUGHT HER IN MID AIR!! PLANTING HER WITH A SUPLEX!! Delaney holds her back in agony as she crashes onto the canvas!
Jake Mercer: Kirk Redwood wastes no time! He rolls over onto Delaney once again hooking the leg for the pin!
(ONEEEE!!!)
(TWWWOOO!!)
Flannery McCoy: Delaney Rhodes kicks out once again!
Stew-O: Kirk Redwood doesn’t look all too pleased with the way that Delaney’s fighting spirit has been put on display here! Delaney began to sit up.. BUT KIRK REDWOOD PULLED HER BACK DOWN INTO A SLEEPER HOLD!!
Jake Mercer: He’s trying to put an abrupt end to this match already! Looking to tap out Delaney or put her to sleep!! Kirk Redwood is looking to make a huge statement here!!
Flannery McCoy: But look at the poise from Delaney here! She isn’t panicking, she isn’t flailing around.. she’s got just the right patience, prying at the arm of Kirk Redwood’s arm.. before using her lower body strength to push her legs up and flip herself over Kirk.. PUSHING HIS SHOULDERS DOWN FOR THE SUDDEN PIN!!
(ONNNNEE!!)
(TWWWWOOO!!)
Stew-O: Kirk Redwood kicks out!! And he’s shocked! Delaney just almost got away with a slick win over Kirk!
Jake Mercer: Delaney rolls through! Grabbing the leg of Kirk’s, before rolling through with Kirk on her shoulders!! As she rises to her feet! And.. DRIVES KIRK DOWN TO THE CANVAS WITH A PIPER’S PIT!!
Flannery McCoy: WHAT A FEAT OF STRENGTH FROM DELANEY RHODES!! Delaney wasn’t finished at all!! She rolled over Kirk.. grabbing his arm and applying a FUIJIWARA ARMBAR!! SHE HAS GOT IT LOCKED IN TIGHT!! AND KIRK IS GROANING OUT IN PAIN!!
Stew-O: Delaney is continuing to wrench back on the arm! Looking to make Kirk tap! A few more seconds in this hold and he just might do exactly that! Delaney is looking to pull off an impressive win here tonight!!
Jake Mercer: But Kirk rolls over, rolling Delaney over and off of him! He climbs to his feet as well as Delaney does! Kirk Redwood rushes in at Delaney going to swing for a Lariat! But Delaney ducks under and slips behind Kirk!! SHE HOISTS HIM UP AND PLANTS HIM WITH A GERMAN SUPLEX!! KEEPING IT BRIDGED FOR A PIN!!
(ONNNNEEEE!!!)
(TWWWOOOO!!!)
(THRE—-)
Flannery McCoy: KIRK REDWOOD KICKS OUT AGAIN!!
Stew-O: Delaney rises to her feet, looking towards Kirk Redwood as she’s waiting for him to climb to his feet..
Jake Mercer: She’s zoned in on Kirk Redwood! And as soon as he gets up to his feet! Delaney rushes in at Kirk Red.. looking to connect with a SPINNING BACK ELBOW!! “DETOU—”
Flannery McCoy: DOESN’T CONNECT!! KIRK CATCHES HER MID SPIN AND SENDS UP AND OVER THE ROPES WITH A EXPLODER SUPLEX!! SENDING HER TUMBLING TO THE FLOOR AT RINGSIDE!!
Stew-O: Kirk Redwood is looking to regain his bearings now as he’s shaking his head. But I think he realizes now exactly where he has Delaney! He exits the ring as Delaney is getting to her feet and he runs at Delaney.. TURNING HER INSIDE OUT WITH A HUGE RUNNING CLOTHESLINE!!
Jake Mercer: Kirk Redwood grabs Delaney up onto her feet, before SENDING HER CRASHING TO THE HARD FLOOR WITH A SNAP SUPLEX!! That.. did not look like it felt good at all!
Flannery McCoy: Kirk sits up, a wicked smile on his face.. he’s enjoying this.
Stew-O: Of course the sick bastard is! He’s back to his feet now, grabbing Delaney to her feet and rolling her back into the ring. Delaney is chatting to get to her feet now as Kirk is stalking her.. it is not looking good at all for Delaney Rhodes!
Jake Mercer: And Kirk Redwood knows he has Delaney exactly where he wants her! He rushes in!! “BLITZKRIEG BOP!!” THE RUNNING KNEE TO THE BACK OF DELANEY’S HEAD!! CONNECTS!! KIRK FALLS INTO THE COVER!’
(ONEEEE!!!)
(TWWWOOO!!!)
(THREEEEE—)
(…)
(…)
(…)
Flannery McCoy: DELANEY GETS THE SHOULDER UP!! SHE IS STILL ALIVE IN THIS MATCH!!
Stew-O: Kirk Redwood gets to his feet, a bit frustrated.. grabbing Delaney up to her knees, before.. HITTING HER WITH A STIFF SLAP TO THE FACE!!
Kirk Redwood(off-mic): Stay the fuck down!
(SLAP!!)
(SLAP!!)
(SLAP!!)
Jake Mercer: Slap after slap! But they look like they’re only starting to fire Delaney up! She’s starting to push herself up and onto her feet! And KIRK GOES TO SWING AGAIN!! BUT DELANEY CATCHES HIM!! WITH A SUPERKICK!! AND HE IS DROPPED!!
Flannery McCoy: KIRK CRASHES TO THE CANVAS AND.. DELANEY KIPS UP TO HER FEET!! FIRED UP… THE STRAPS ARE COMING DOWN AS SHE CALLS KIRK TO HIS FEET!!
Stew-O: Kirk Redwood gets to his feet.. stumbling into Delaney’s grasp!! SHE GRABS HIM UP!! PLANTING HIM DOWN WITH A T-BONE SUPLEX!! He gets to his feet again.. stumbling back towards Delaney Rhodes..
Jake Mercer: BUT SHE DROPS HIM WITH ANOTHER T-BONE SUPLEX!!
Flannery McCoy: Delaney is starting to feel it! Kirk gets to his feet!! Again!! Delaney hoists him up AGAIN!! PLANTING HIM WITH A CROSS ARMED OLYMPIC SLAM THIS TIME!! And now she’s looking to end it.. calling Kirk to his feet again!
(…)
(…)
Stew-O: Wait.. hold on! WHAT THE HELL IS KASSIDY HEART DOING OUT HERE!?
Jake Mercer: We all saw that Kassidy Heart didn’t take too kindly to her first meeting with Delaney Rhodes! But now she’s out here and she’s pointing and shouting towards Delaney Rhodes!
Kassidy: (off-mic) Who do you think you are huh!? You thought that I was just going to let your smart ass slide!?
Delaney: (off-mic) Get out of here! Can’t you see that I am in the middle of a match right now!? This couldn’t have waited until after!?
Kassidy: (off-mic) Nope. You should’ve stayed in your place! Now I am going to be YOUR problem!
Delaney: (off-mic) You’ve gotta be kidding me…I don’t have time for this..
Flannery McCoy: KIRK IS UP!! HE’S GOT DELANEY IN HIS GRASP AND HE TURNS HER AROUND OUT OF HIS GRASP!! “GOD GUNNN!!” HE DROPPED HER WITH THE RIPCORD RIGHT HOOK!! AND INTO THE PIN!!
(ONNNNEEE!!!)
(TWWWOOO!!!)
(THREEEEEEEEEE!!!)
(DING!! DING!!! DING!!)
Stew-O: Delaney gave it everything that she had! In the end, it was off of a distraction from Kassidy Heart that threw Delaney off of her game..
(“The Weight” by Amigo The Devil, played throughout the speakers as the camera had caught Kassidy Heart now shaking her head as she smugly walked off. This leaving Delaney to look on, an upset expression on her face as she was just cost her match as the show faded elsewhere..)
(A commercial plays for the WNBA.)
(The scene opens up backstage to Harper Lee standing with Michael Belfort—and with the Cash in the Vault holder in view, the fans immediately boo.)
Michael Belfort: Ladies and gentlemen, I am Michael Belfort, and with me is none other than—
Harper Lee: Uh, no offense, Michael, but I’m sure everyone knows who I am already.
Michael Belfort: Uh, perhaps, but you never know who may be watching.
Harper Lee: Yeah? Well, they can see for themselves who I am.
(She raises the briefcase, smirking.)
Harper Lee: But go ahead and do your repetitive job. It’s all you’re good for anyways.
(Michael has to bite back a sigh, but he maintains his air of professionalism.)
Michael Belfort: Joining me is none other than the current Cash in the Vault holder, Harper Lee. Harper, thank you for agreeing to do this interview with me.
Harper Lee: Mhm.
Michael Belfort: Last week, you and KASAI teamed together in the main event against Chris Elite and Daryl Kinkade, but then, you turned your back on KASAI, who is also the Empress of Elite. Many were shocked as it appeared you two were close to winning, and even she made it known that despite your differences she did hold some measure of respect for you. Why, then, did you essentially throw out the match?
(Harper groans, rolling her eyes.)
Harper Lee: Seriously? Already, what, the second week of me being on Dynasty and I’m having to deal with “Why Harper, Why?!” talks again? Why not? Are people really that stupid or forgetful that they thought I was ever going to play nice? I mean, yeah, I love to win, and I’m willing to work alongside whoever my partner may be for that week. However, the answer is right there: KASAI grew too comfortable with the fact that because she and I both hold contracts essentially for world titles that we were on the same level, and when it comes to me, that was never going to be the case. I’m the best wrestler in the world, and just because someone MAYBE can be a world champion does not mean they’re close to me. Like, I’m the one who actually made due on their tournament win! KASAI has yet to not only do that, but she thought I would acknowledge her in any way, and that is pathetic.
Harper Lee: Besides, it wasn’t like she and I always had the most cordial relationship. We were both on Showdown together a couple of seasons ago and she certainly had a lot of stuff to say about me. It just makes me wonder how sincere that respect even was in the first place. Granted, it gets annoying how there are some people who downplay that I am a future first-ballot hall of famer and, well, better than them in any regard, but at least I want for my just dues to be extended by someone who actually means it, not from someone who wanted to smile and laugh because we happen to have the same circumstances going for ourselves. In fact…
(And that’s when Harper’s attention lands squarely on the camera as she continues to speak, addressing KASAI directly.)
Harper Lee: Why would you even trust me, KASAI? Did you think that because I got what I wanted that I was suddenly going to transform and not be the person I always have been? That’s stupid even for the likes of you. And sure, maybe you can run around with the idea that I felt threatened by you and the Empress of Elite crown, but wouldn’t that mean that I can always come around and take the keys to the kingdom myself? I mean, you’re gonna want to have to act fast soon, because we’re already almost six months in since you won the crown and the caveat that comes with it. Still, what unfortunate timing for you competition wise. Minerva is likely going to kill whatever ending you’re hoping to get but even if you manage you beat her? I could always come around and take the Universal Women’s title for myself.
(She shrugs, smirking.
Harper Lee: And if I decide not to, then consider it mercy, because—
(Suddenly, she feels a tap on her shoulder. Harper whirls around—and one of KASAI’s side is before her with a folded red note.)
Harper Lee: Huh. I recognize you. You’re with her whenever she wants to pretend she’s some scary crime boss or whatever.
(Harper looks around.)
Harper Lee: … as a matter of fact, where is she?
(The aide simply backs away; gesturing toward the note before disappearing. Harper scoffs and looks down at it. When she unfolds it, the words written on—harshly with dark ink—come into view:
/ You messed up.)
Harper Lee: Scare tactics. Great. God, this is pathetic.
(Harper rips up the paper and walks off. The final shot shows the pieces fluttering down to the floor behind her before Dynasty fades back to ringside for the next match.)
Stephie Love: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(As the shot panned to reveal the ring, both Saori Aizen and Kendall Von are already situated at ringside, the Specialists Championship around the former’s waist. Despite both being given the closest possible seats to the action, the two stayed out of each other’s way.)
(‘TEFLON DON’ by Future began to play to a negative reaction, the familiar tune met with general unease and steady boos as Jamie Valdez emerged from the back. She posed at the top of the ramp, soaking in the boos before walking down the ramp and making her way to the ring. Her gaze met Saori’s for a moment, but quickly looked away as the champion scoffed.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first…’The Prodigy’…Jamie Valdez!
Stew O: Jamie found herself unlucky last time out, losing a close bout with Brianna Hill and far from impressing Saori Aizen.
Flannery McCoy: Despite it ending up as a losing effort, Jamie more than proved herself capable of hanging with the best, and will look even more determined to return to winning ways this week.
(Jamie settled in the center of the ring to pose again, before turning and heading to the corner to make her final preparations. ‘TEFLON DON’ began to fade and would soon be replaced by ‘The Reckoning’ by Within Temptation to a more positive reaction. It didn’t take long for Effy McAvoy to make an appearance at the top of the ramp, the Interwire Championship over her shoulder as she began to make her way down to the ring.)
Stephie Love: And her opponent…she is the Interwire Champion…’The Harbinger,’ Effy McAvoy!
Stew-O: Early on in the season, the challengers are already queuing up for the Interwire Champion, but it seems that Effy is more than ready to keep this incredible reign running no matter how many challengers seek to knock her off the top.
Jake Mercer: A successful defense at Pain For Pride will do that, but with someone as fresh, new, and talented as Kendall Von keeping an eye on her championship, she’s gotta keep her head on a swivel.
(Effy eyed Kendall as she entered the ring, though the latter merely rolled her eyes in response, turning her back to the ring as Effy moved to her corner and handed her championship to the referee, awaiting the bell.)
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: And we’re off! Jamie and Saori immediately begin to circle, just prodding the other’s defenses before rushing into any major exchanges. For now, these two are gonna remain in the feeling out stage!
Flannery McCoy: Effy will want control of the center, but Jamie is content with continuing to circle, just keeping her guard up high and outstretched to keep the Interwire Champion at an arm’s reach! Still, Effy pushes for a lock-up, trying to close the distance between the two early so she can get some momentum going.
Jake Mercer: But Jamie is unwilling to let Effy have her way, just dancing around the exterior, keeping that guard up and even slapping away an attempt at a mutual collar-and-elbow tie-up! But with each parry, she gets closer and closer to the ropes, running out of room to evade with!
Stew-O: And that room just ran out, finally being cornered by Effy, but Jamie rushes right in and takes the initiative to create that tie-up, taking the momentum for herself from Effy! Definitely a scrappier approach but nonetheless effective as the two begin to jockey back and forth for control of the center!
Flannery McCoy: Rather, Jamie doesn’t really want a tie-up, but a test of strength, readjusting her grip to make this a proper back and forth tug of war! And Jamie seems best prepared of the two, pressing Effy back and down, brute forcing her shoulders to the mat!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE-!
Jake Mercer: But it doesn’t take long for Effy to power a shoulder up, even as Jamie retains control of her hands.
Stew-O: And Jamie, ever the pragmatist, just goes back to working down the arm of Effy that kicked out, forcefully pressing it against the mat for another pinfall attempt!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEE-!!
Flannery McCoy: And again Effy forces her other arm up, gritting her teeth as Jamie continues to work away at her arms, trying to turn this match into a grind of stamina and fortitude!
Jake Mercer: Jamie, with both sets of hands still interlocked, pressing them both down again, applying her body weight to both to try and keep Effy down!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO-!!
Stew-O: Beautiful neck bridge by Effy allows her to kick out, even as Jamie kept both her arms against the mat! Defeated in the short term, Jamie releases her grip on Effy’s hands and backs up…
Flannery McCoy: BUT LEAPS FORWARD WITH AN ATTEMPTED STOMP TO THE THROAT OF EFFY-!!
Jake Mercer: Fortunately, Effy is able to avoid it, rolling to the side as the stomp lands against the canvas! And the tempo is beginning to pick up as Effy rolls to her feet, catching Jamie as she charges forward, slipping under an attempted clothesline!
Stew-O: And she brings Jamie down to the mat with a quick backslide!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-!!
Flannery McCoy: But Jamie still has more than enough fight to burst out of that attempt, immediately rolling to her feet-!
Jake Mercer: Where she is met with a stiff forearm by Effy, dropping her to one knee as the champion takes control of this match! Jamie clutches her jaw as Effy pulls her to her feet, laying her against the ropes as she runs the length of the ring!
Stew-O: And as she hits the ropes she-…slips?
Flannery McCoy: I think Kendall Von just took a swipe at the heel of Effy, making her miss a step and stumble! The champion is not happy about it, spinning around on a dime to face Kendall who has already turned away from the ring, holding her phone up to her ear and allegedly speaking to someone over it.
Jake Mercer: Welp, that’s the nature of a match like this with intervention almost bound to happen. Kendall’s too close to the action to stay complacent, but Effy’s gotta focus on what’s happening inside the ring as-
Stew-O: Jamie takes advantage with a clubbing blow to the back, knocking her into the ropes! Effy rebounds off them, into the waistlock by Jamie who reels back, pulling Effy by the neck down with a vicious backstabber! The knees of Jamie drive right into her spine, leaving Effy writhing around on the mat!
Flannery McCoy: Jamie wastes absolutely no time capitalizing on the opening Kendall created, and whether she appreciates the assist or not is another matter entirely! What matters is that the Interwire Champion is down, clutching at her back after that backstabber.
Jake Mercer: And look at Jamie immediately changing gears! She isn’t interested in admiring her handiwork, she’s interested in making sure that lower back never gets a chance to recover! Effy tries to crawl toward the ropes, but Jamie is already on top of her, driving a knee between the shoulder blades before wrenching both arms backward!
Stew-O: Effy grits her teeth, refusing to give Jamie the satisfaction of hearing her cry out, but the pain is obvious! Jamie plants another knee square into the base of her back before yanking back even farther on both arms, bending Effy further and further! She’s practically trying to peel Effy’s shoulders out of their sockets while forcing all that pressure into the spine!
Flannery McCoy: On the outside, Kendall finally lowers the phone from her ear… and she’s smiling.
Stew-O: I don’t think she was talking to anyone.
Jake Mercer: You don’t say?
Flannery McCoy: Saori certainly noticed what happened, but she’s remaining completely detached from it.
Stew-O: Back inside the ring, Jamie is still working on that stretch, trying to press the back of her boot into Effy’s back instead of the knee, looking to turn this into almost a modified surfboard stretch! But as she adjusts, Effy begins to scuff her boots against the ground, trying to push herself up as Jamie is forced to follow up to a vertical base!
Jake Mercer: And as the two of them make it to their feet, Effy immediately tries to spin out of it and break Jamie’s grip on her wrists, but Jamie spins along with her, refusing to bend!
Flannery McCoy: Back and forth they go, struggling to keep control and build momentum, as Effy now begins to back up! Jamie is forced to adjust, and that allows Effy to grab at Jamie’s own wrists, finally breaking her grip! She maintains wrist control of one of them, and ripcords her around-!
Stew-O: THE CLIMAX! THE KNEE CONNECTS AND LANDS RIGHT AGAINST THE NOSE OF JAMIE! EFFY IMMEDIATELY ROLLS INTO THE COVER!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Jake Mercer: NO! KICK OUT BY JAMIE! She immediately grasps her nose, but she’s kept herself alive as a disappointed Effy clicks her tongue in annoyance. She knows that was as good an opportunity as any to put this match to bed, but Jamie is able to keep this match going despite losing the advantage.
Flannery McCoy: An admirable effort indeed, but she’s still gotta keep a proactive mindset, as Effy is far from done with her attack. Fresh from pulling herself up to her feet, she’s already calling for it. Jamie’s starting to stir, and Effy is warming up that arm!
Stew-O: She rushes out of the corner, AND RAISES HER ARM FOR ‘PROTECT YA NECK!!’
Jake Mercer: DUCKED BY A DESPERATE JAMIE VALDEZ! SHE STUMBLES, BUT SLIDES UNDER THE CLOTHESLINE, AND EFFY RUNS RIGHT INTO THE ROPES!
Flannery McCoy: SHE SPINS AROUND ON A DIME, LOOKING TO KEEP UP THE PRESSURE, BUT IS SIDE STEPPED AGAIN, KNOCKING RIGHT INTO THE REFEREE! BOTH ARE DISORIENTED, AND JAMIE IS LOOKING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE!
Stew-O: JAMIE RUNS TOWARDS EFFY, LEAPING UP AND LOOKING FOR THAT FIERCE KICK-! BUT, EFFY STILL HAS IT SCOUTED, PUSHING HER TO THE GROUND AND RUSHING FORWARD FOR THE STORYBOOK ENDING!
Jake Mercer: SCOUTED BY JAMIE, SHE PULLS BACK AND SHOVES EFFY BLINDLY INTO THE ROPES WHERE- OH LOOK WHO’S UP ON THE APRON!
(Meeting Effy by the ropes is the cocky grin of Kendall Von, leaning over the top and immediately getting the attention of the champion who marches over, fully intending to swing and knock her off!)
Flannery McCoy: KENDALL DROPS OFF ON HER OWN ACCORD, AND EFFY TURNS AROUND, RIGHT INTO JAMIE WHO REACHES UP AND RAKES HER NAILS RIGHT ACROSS THE EYES OF EFFY MCAVOY!
Stew-O: EFFY IS STUMBLING, RIGHT INTO A ROLL UP BY JAMIE WHO HOLDS ONTO THE TIGHTS AS THE DAZED REFEREE SLIDES INTO THE COUNT!!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
…
(DING! DING! DING!)
(As soon as the bell rang, the pin released, and an irate Effy exploded out of the cover, reaching first for the referee and then for Kendall Von who has already begun to retreat up the ramp, that cocky grin imprinted on her expression as she sarcastically gave a round of applause.)
Jake Mercer: WOW! JAMIE VALDEZ JUST BEAT THE INTERWIRE CHAMPION!
Flannery McCoy: That’s a huge upset, and a massively important victory for Jamie who elated at the result, even if it took a bit of rule bending to accomplish it. This is still a massive feat!
(Effy had left the ring, still frustrated by the interference by Kendall, leaving the ring to Jamie to celebrate. Visibly pleased by the result, she rose to her feet, ready to bask in her victory as ‘TEFLON DON’ resumed–)
(CRASH!!)
(The music cut immediately as Jamie was laid out in the ring, Saori Aizen standing over her with an almost chillingly cold demeanor, the Specialists Championship over her shoulder and a microphone in hand, slowly raising it up to her lips as she looked down at Jamie.)
Saori Aizen: Was that supposed to be impressive?
Saori Aizen: If that is your attempt at some sort of statement, as if you are capable of taking this away from me? You have utterly disappointed me. You are wholly outclassed and that did little to change my perception of you. Victory or not, you are a fool for thinking you could step up to me.
(Boos pour in as she steps around the ring, removing her gaze from Jamie as she walks.)
Saori Aizen: As foolish as it might be, don’t let that stop you. It matters not to me.
(Saori let the microphone roll out of her hand, right on top of Jamie’s torso. ‘Let Me Hear’ by Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas soon followed, accompanying the champion as she walked past Jamie and out of the ring, bringing the match to a close as Dynasty pans elsewhere.)
(A commercial plays for The Odyssey, featuring Kai Rabeaux.)
Stephie Love: The following is scheduled for ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘New Devil’ by Asking Alexandria begins playing and Daryl Kinkade races out from the back to a mostly positive reaction from the crowd. He shuffles down the ramp, already feeling confident as he makes his way down to the ring. Kinkade runs up the steps and swings in, climbing the middle rope and pointing out.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first, weighing in at 225 pounds, from Norwich, England, he is the ‘KINK OF ELITE’ … DDDAAARRRRYYYLLLL! KKKIIIINNNNKKKKAAAAADDDDEEEEEEEEE!!!
(‘P.O.V.’ by Clipse & Tyler, The Creator hits the speakers next and Cy Henderson walks out from the back, his facial expression all business. He marches down to the ring, looking up at Daryl inside. Cy rolls in and steps to the center of the ring, raising his arms up. He lets it hang for a moment, before dropping back and swinging his shirt off, sending it over to the floor.)
Stephie Love: His opponent, weighing in at 240 pounds, from New York City, New York, he is “THE FORCE OF NATURE” … CCCCCCCCYYYYYYYYYY!!! HHHHHHEEEEEENNNDDDEEEERRRRSSSOOOONNNNN!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stew-O: Both men enter this match with a lot to gain with a win, and you can tell just by the demeanor that they’re carrying here. Henderson and Kinkade engage in a collar & elbow tie-up, and it’s Cy who transitions into a waistlock. He bullies Daryl, heaving him off of the canvas and slamming him hard on the mat. Henderson grinds in that waistlock, forcing Daryl to wait for an opening to explode out and escape.
Jake Mercer: Kinkade slowly rolls to a seated position, fighting the grip of Henderson. Cy slowly rises with Daryl in his grasp, and Daryl tries to explode out, but Cy responds with an elbow to the center of the back! Another elbow, and he heaves Kinkade up for another mat return! Stew-O: HE DIVES OFF FOR ‘DKO’ — ONLY FOR HENDERSON TO CATCH HIM ONTO HIS SHOULDERS! Kinkade went to the well one too many times and now he’s going to pay for it! ‘RISING TIDE!’ NO! KINKADE LANDS ONTO HIS FEET AT THE LAST SECOND! Cy is laying on his side, and Kinkade runs into the STANDING SHOOTING STAR PRESS!

TTTTHHHHRRRRRRREEEEE—
Flannery McCoy: SHOULDER UP! Cy rolls off of Daryl, and this match grows more and more intense by the second! Daryl lies there, gasping for air. Cy crawls towards the ropes, making his way over. He rolls underneath the apron, taking his sweet time, as he uses all that he’s got to get up to his feet.
Stew-O: While he does that, Kinkade is still trying to recover as well! He holds his neck, meanwhile, Cy is beginning to climb up top! He steadies himself atop the ropes, watching Daryl slowly … but surely … pick his body up off of the canvas. Cy nods, it’s now or never, as he jumps into the DIVING LEGDROP BULLDOG! RIGHT ONTO THAT HURT NECK! AND CY MAKES ANOTHER COVER!
OOOONNNNNEEEEE!!!
TTTWWWWWWWWOOOOOO!!!
TTTTHHHHRRRRRR—
Jake Mercer: Kinkade shoots his shoulder up just in time! Cy is on his fours, glaring at the referee. Kinkade is still feeling that one, though! Cy drags Kinkade up to his feet, and he grabs him up into an argentine rack again! He wants ‘RISING TIDE’, but Kinkade grabs the top rope just in time!
Stew-O: The referee is trying to get Cy to release the hold, but Cy is trying to power through and carry him into the ring anyways! Cy swings for Kinkade, who ducks underneath and sends him back with a hotshot! Cy falls back, down to his knees.
Flannery McCoy: Now, Daryl grabs the top rope and he goes to launch himself up to the top rope—but SOMEONE grabs him by the ankle! What the hell?!
Stew-O: OH YOU’VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! IT’S STERLING LUXE! CHRIS ELITE’S MANAGER IS HERE TO DISTRACT KINKADE!
Daryl Kinkade: (off-mic) OFF ME!
Stew-O: Daryl kicks Sterling away, sending him stumbling backwards! Daryl then turns back to the ring and springboards up for a diving elbow—but HE’S CAUGHT IN MID-AIR! ‘CALAMITY!’ HENDERSON JUST RAN RIGHT THROUGH HIM! KINKADE GETS SENT RIGHT DOWN ONTO THAT BAD BACK! AND HENDERSON HOOKS THE LEGS!
OOOONNNNNEEEEE!!!
TTTWWWWWWWWOOOOOO!!!
TTTTHHHHRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE!!!
(DING DING DING!)
Stephie Love: Here is your winner of this match, CCCYYYYY! HEENNDDDERRRSSOOONNN!!
(Henderson sits up and looks at Kinkade, then Luxe, mildly irritated at how the match ended. He rises to his feet and the referee tries to raise his arm, but he waves the ref off. Henderson exits the ring and makes his way up the ramp, as Sterling climbs onto the apron and smirks.)
Jake Mercer: That was a great match between Cy Henderson and Daryl Kinkade, completely ruined because of the games of Chris Elite and Sterling Luxe, but you’ve gotta be kidding me… we can’t even dwell on it for long!
Stew-O: I’m sure Cy wanted to send a direct message to Kirk Redwood, but that’s going to be delayed thanks to their antics! Nonetheless, this is just ridiculous!
Sterling Luxe: (off-mic) Oh c’mon! Did you really think you were gonna beat Cy? You gotta be smarter than that Daryl, you never stood a cha–
(Despite the pain that he’s in, Kinkade finds it in himself to get to his feet and grab Sterling by his shirt and force him against the turnbuckles!)
Daryl Kinkade: (off-mic) WHERE THE HELL IS HE?! WHERE’S CHRIS, HUH?
(Daryl grits his teeth through the pain, pressuring Luxe further against the turnbuckle, as he howls out.)
Sterling Luxe: (off-mic) Heh! Right behind you!
(*WHACK!*)
Flannery McCoy: GOODNESS! CHRIS ELITE JUST DROVE A STEEL CHAIR DIRECTLY INTO THE BACK OF KINKADE! HE COLLAPSES TO THE GROUND, HOLDING AT HIS BACK!
Stew-O: AND NOW CHRIS JUST SLAMS THAT CHAIR OVER HIS BODY, OVER AND OVER! SOMEBODY GET SOME DAMN HELP OUT HERE!
(Daryl rolls over, yelling out. Chris continues to beat him down with the chair, then backs up, motioning to Sterling.)
Chris Elite: (off-mic) GET HIM UP! GET HIM UP!
(Sterling happily obliges and drags Daryl up, holding him by the arms. Kinkade is too weak to fight back, and Chris winds back the chair with all of his might, SLAMMING it over the top of Daryl’s head! Kinkade collapses, and blood starts gushing out of his head on impact. The crowd boos as Chris mounts him, grabbing him by the hair and punching him, digging into that cut until more blood spews out.)
Jake Mercer: Chris Elite has reduced Daryl Kinkade to a bloody mess, and this is just too much! We still have a full program to go for you here on Dynasty—but damn it, it would be nice to go to a commercial break!
Flannery McCoy: Sterling Luxe is just parading around the ring like a clown while Chris just beats the life out of Kinkade! Daryl is unconscious, and Chris rises to his feet, picking up that chair with a Daryl Kinkade-sized dent in it.
(Chris raises the chair up to even more boos from the crowd, as medics enter the ring to tend to a bloodied Kinkade, while Dynasty finally cuts away.)
(Fading away from the ringside, the shot travels backstage. Michael Belfort has a microphone in hand and is on standby.)
Michael Belfort: Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for tuning in. I am Michael Belfort, and after the harrowing attack that was unleashed on NICK last week, many were left concerned about his physical well-being. He was blindsided before his match against Michael Machina and his condition was further exacerbated due to the contest.
(A replay begins, highlighting the tail end of the bout. Eventually, Michael gets the win, and medical personnel immediately swarm in as they see for themselves how badly wounded NICK was.)
(The recap ends. Michael nods, but a more serious look dons his face.)
Michael Belfort: I spoke with Tyrone Montgomery moments prior to get an official update, and the general manager has stated that due to the significance of his injuries, NICK will be out for an undetermined time; thus, he will be unable to be present for the upcoming Reckless Wiring MLE.
(The fans react with a mixture of shock, anger and disappointment.)
Stew-O: Goodness. What horrible luck. We know that NICK was looking forward to making up for the loss at Pain for Pride and getting himself settled with the new competition here on Dynasty, but the unknown assailant has effectively ruined that for him.
Jake Mercer: :lupe: !! Definitely alarming. I mean, what if the person responsible for this isn’t only targeting him? The safety of our talent could be in jeopardy!
Michael Belfort: Tyrone has assured that he is currently launching an investigation to figure out who the perpetrator is. In the meantime, he asks for everyone to send their well wishes to NICK, who we can only hope will recover quickly. That is all we have available at the moment. Thank you, and please, enjoy the rest of the show.
(The transmission ends, but the fans remain largely unhappy given the somber news.)
Flannery McCoy: Hopefully the investigation can end quickly so that we can be provided with more clearcut information, especially as it pertains to who did it. But for now, we will have to wait—and I hope that NICK is doing okay despite these frustrating circumstances.
(From there, the shot transitions back to ringside.)
(The camera cuts to Stephie Love in the ring.)
Stephie Love: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
(‘In Control’ by Youngboy Never Broke Again can be heard throughout the speakers as the audience responds with immense reactions. Chris Elite emerges from the back with a confident & focused expression on his face, nodding to the reactions as he walks down the ramp looking forward to the match tonight as he sets his eyes onto the ring ahead.)
Stephie Love: Introducing first! From Brooklyn, New York! Weighing in at 210 pounds… CHRISSSSSSSS, ELITE!!!
Stew-O: Chris Elite is vying for a momentum bringer tonight that could allow him to set the most prominent pace possible for himself! He has been looking for the most emphatic way possible to bring himself as much of the advantage necessary, and this can absolutely do it.
Flannery McCoy: Absolutely, this is exactly what Chris Elite needs to come out of with a win in order to put himself on the best path possible. Although that will be easier said than done, as he’s got quite the test ahead of himself with his opponent tonight, who will be a colossal task for him to take on!
(‘Partition [Smearcase Trap Remix]’ by Beyoncé can be heard throughout the speakers as the audience responds loudly for the arrival of Kassidy Heart. Kassidy makes her way from the back & to the stage, with the camera emphasizing hyper focused attention upon her every step, panning upward to the EAW Hall of Famer herself, who grins lowly as she looks toward the ring.)
Stephie Love: And introducing her opponent! From Sydney, Australia, weighing in at 141 pounds… ‘THE MAULER’, KASSIDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY HEART!!!!
Stew-O: And here she is, looking to venture into the same waters that she has always been able to step into without a second thought. To go against Chris, another competitor who looks to thrive under such pressure, will prove to be very enticing for Kassidy to partake in.
Jake Mercer: Now Chris will have to compete against HER of all people, and that’s gonna be as tall of a damn task as anybody could possibly face, as Kassidy Heart is looking to make as much of an example out of Chris Elite as she can!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stew-O: AND HERE WE GO! Chris Elite & Kassidy Heart will go taking on each other in this match up tonight—AS THEY IMMEDIATELY RUSH TO THE CENTER! CHRIS IS LOOKING TO FIRE BACK AS KASSIDY WON’T ENTERTAIN STARTING OFF SLOW! Each forearm is sounding off but Kassidy is able to garner the edge here in the early makings of this match, Chris will have to watch himself very closely against Kassidy Heart of all people!
Flannery McCoy: As Kassidy is mounting up all of the forearms now!! Chris is being knocked back considerably as the EAW Hall of Famer is letting every single forearm ring off without a second thought, making Chris cover up against the ropes as the referee is looking to count down—BUT ONE GLANCE from the Mauler makes the official think twice before doing so! Now Kassidy gets to return right back to the pressure being applied in accordance with the match—
Jake Mercer: BUT CHRIS SENDS A ‘SNOOZE’ AROSS HER JAW! RIGHT HOOK!!! And now Chris is sending the pain forward as elbow after elbow is being pressured into the jaw of Kassidy Heart! There’s no stopping him as we’ve been made real aware of how there won’t be any need for a disqualification between these two tonight! Chris has Kassidy backed into the corner, and he’s sending every elbow that he can against her temple here! This is already moving crazy!
Stew-O: BUT KASS SHOVES CHRIS—AND NAILS A SWIFT ENZIGURI THAT KNOCKS ELITE OFF GUARD! Chris drops to a knee, trying to shake off the rattling that is going on in his head here WHILE KASS IS ABLE TO NAIL A ‘HEART STOPPER’ THIS TIME!!! The punch across his chest causes Chris to back himself away for the moment, trying to shake off all of the damage inflicted thus far while Kassidy is rising back to her feet all the same!
Flannery McCoy: As Kassidy is now rushing the ropes, and rushing further along—BEFORE SHE BEAMS RIGHT TOWARD CHRIS ELITE WITH AN IMMENSE ‘GO TO GAWD’!!! A spear with ALL of the emphasis placed behind it as Chris has been dropped down, with Kassidy Heart now quickly rushing to hook the leg as the referee counts away!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THREE—
Jake Mercer: NO! CHRIS KICKS OUT—BUT KASSIDY IMMEDIATELY APPLIES THE FUJIWARA ARMBAR AS HE RAISES HIS ARM TO KICK OUT! The arm bar has been applied and now Chris will have to immediately worry about not getting his arm snapped off here if he wants to get himself out of this position! Chris will have to figure out his own way out of this spot that he’s trapped in, but he’s very much conscious enough to do so!
Stew-O: As Chris is now rising to his feet!!! Kassidy is trying to hold on, while Chris is doing all that he can to muster up all of the strength needed to get himself out of this submission! The former World Champion doesn’t let another moment go to waste, now HOISTING KASSIDY FROM THE CANVAS & LOOKING TO SPIKE HER DOWN ONTO THE MAT IN RETURN—BUT IT APPEARS TO NOT BE ENOUGH!
Flannery McCoy: ‘CAUSE KASS’ CATCHES CHRIS OFF GUARD WITH ‘THE SHINING’!!! Chris has been forced into another difficult situation as this may be an even more demanding submission to find himself trapped within! Kassidy is holding on, shaking her own head as she sees that Chris hasn’t had an answer for the submission game she provides right now! Chris has nowhere to go after initiating the slam!
Jake Mercer: BUT ELITE IS ABLE TO POWER HIMSELF UPWARD BY HOISTING KASSIDY HEART—AND SLAMMING HER AGAINST THE TURNBUCKLE THIS TIME!!! Kassidy is forced to let go as now Chris is recovering, shaking off the arm here while the multi time World Champion has her eyes steady on Chris once more, RUSHING AHEAD & LOOKING FOR THE SHOTGUN DROPKICK—
Stew-O: BUT CHRIS CATCHES KASSIDY’S FOOT AFTER SIDESTEPPING—AND ALLOWS FOR A SWIFT BACKSLIDE DRIVER TO TAKE HER DOWN!!! Kassidy is left in the trouble to come here as Chris is looking to get the better of her much more extensively! Kassidy keeps herself situated in a conscious state, not allowing herself to be prone on the canvas or else Chris will make the most out of any opportunity that can be given—
Flannery McCoy: ‘TILL CHRIS PULLS KASSIDY OVER—AND ALLOWS FOR A SIT-OUT POWERBOMB TO GO THROUGH FROM HERE!!! Kassidy is rolling backward after the impact as Chris has taken control now! The EAW Hall of Famer is bringing himself upward, nodding to himself as he takes hold of her wrist, BEFORE PULLING HER FORWARD AND RIGHT INTO A DISCUS LARIAT!!!! Chris soon hooks the leg for the cover as the referee is counting away!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THR—
Jake Mercer: KICK OUT—AS CHRIS IS QUICKLY DRAGGING KASSIDY UPWARD! Kassidy is being left in the whirlwind here as now Chris is looking to mount even more of the pressure from here, with Kassidy being propped over his shoulder, this could only mean one thing from here! Chris raises the hold as he’s LOOKING FOR THE ‘44 BULLDOG’ LAWN DART THROW FROM HERE’!
Stew-O: BUT KASS CAUGHT THE ARM—AND SHE YANKS CHRIS’S SHOULDER INTO THE TURNBUCKLE!! Chris is immediately clutching onto his shoulder as he’s trying to shake it off all that he can, turning himself back toward where Kassidy is located—AS A SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK CAUSES ELITE TO ROLL BACKWARD UPON IMPACT!! Kassidy Heart is presenting all of the heart stopping ability in full display as Chris has been rocked beyond belief here!
Flannery McCoy: As Kassidy is able to bring herself back up to her own two feet, looking toward Chris with a grin on her own face while Chris is trying to get herself back into motion, but this is surely becoming all the more of an issue for him the longer that this match will continue to play in her favor, AS KASSIDY ALLOWS FOR A DRAGON SUPLEX TO SPIKE CHRIS ELITE DOWNWARD ONTO HIS OWN NECK AS WELL!!! Chris finds himself in the continuous struggle as Kassidy is now hooking the leg once more from here!
ONEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THR—
Jake Mercer: NOT ENOUGH! Chris is able to kick out as this match continues further! Kassidy is grimacing as she knows much more will need to be done in order to beat the fellow Hall of Famer! Kassidy finds herself situated over the champion, now trying to rock the hell out of him with repeated elbows across his temple here! Blood is being spilt! She doesn’t want to let up as long as she can keep on putting Chris down, not looking to slow down with the pace this match has set!
Stew-O: As she finds herself backing away, with Chris steadily rising up to a knee while Kassidy is looking to make the absolute most out of what she can possibly do from here, looking for a ROUNDHOUSE—BUT CHRIS CATCHES THE LEG!! Kassidy is left hopping on a leg while Chris shakes his head as he glares toward the multi-time World Champion, having no interest in being placed in the ringer AS KASSIDY LAUNCHES FOR AN ANOTHER ENZIGURI—
Flannery McCoy: BUT ELITE DUCKS UNDER—AND SENDS KASSIDY SPIRALLING DOWNWARD ‘FUSION DANCE’ FOR AS MUCH IMPACT AS POSSIBLE!!!! An immense counter from the former World Champion as Kassidy is sent crashing onto the back of her own neck there, with Heart now in for the struggle as Chris maintains the bridging time in order to maintain the pin! The referee slides himself over to the immediate count!
ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THR—
Jake Mercer: KICK OUT!! Kassidy shoots the arm upward yet Chris is maintaining the grasp that he has around Kassidy’s waist!! Kassidy is trying to bring herself upward, able to rise to a knee while Chris is following suit by keeping his hands clasped together & refusing to let go of the Hall of Famer as well! Heart is looking to bring herself upward, able to do so in enough of a quickened manner as she gets his hands onto Chris’s grasp, trying to pry him off from herself—
Stew-O: BUT CHRIS DELIVERS A NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX TO DRIVE KASSIDY DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS ONCE AGAIN!! Kassidy is growing visibly frustrated through the pressure that she’s being placed through as Chris is now refusing to let up! Heart finds herself struggling all the more as Chris is refusing to slow down even more, a moment where Kassidy is looking to return back to some semblance of form as she’s sending back elbows! She’s trying to pry herself free once again despite the grip that Chris has BEFORE BEING LAUNCHED AGAIN!!
Flannery McCoy: AS A DEADLIFT VERTICAL SUPLEX FOLLOWS UP FROM THERE!!! Kassidy’s looking more pissed off by the second as this is taking its toll on her, that is the pressure that has brought her down & crashing onto the canvas! Chris is rising upward and essentially forcing Kassidy to bolster herself upward in the process, shaking his own head vigorously while Kassidy’s gritting her teeth, as Chris pulls Kassidy directly into position for the ‘FACE VALUE’ RIGHT FROM HERE NOW—
Jake Mercer: KASSIDY SHIFTS HER WEIGHT INWARD & BEHIND ELITE WITH ‘STARGAZING’!!! Chris is now clutching onto his own head here as he’s caught up at the moment! This was not panning out the best for Kass but she’s able to make the turnaround with Chris being spiked onto the canvas, enough of the pressure that’s keeping him from employing as much of the offense that he’s been able to dish out against his opponent tonight!
Stew-O: BEFORE KASSIDY POUNCES ONTO CHRIS WITH ‘THE SHINING’ AGAIN!!! LEAPING TRIANGLE CHOKE CATCHES CHRIS OFF GUARD HERE!! More of the submission advantage taking place from the Hall of Famer in order to wear down Chris further and potentially put him to sleep in order to put the former World Champion down!!! Kassidy is clutching on & refusing to let up while Chris is able to maintain himself accordingly, refusing to drop down yet Kassidy’s wrapping her legs around his waist to coil the pressure further!
Flannery McCoy: As Chris is now dropping down to a knee, with all of the problems that Kassidy has been able to provide against Chris now catapulting into what can be the end of this match! Chris is finding himself in deep trouble the longer that the sleeper hold is able to maintain itself, as he’s trying to keep himself from going completely dormant as the referee is keeping a strong eye on him! Chris is slipping a bit here as Kassidy feels that victory is inching closer and closer as long as she can keep this submission applied—
Jake Mercer: CHRIS SHIFTS INWARD WITH AN EMPHATIC ELBOW RIGHT ACROSS THE SKULL OF KASS!!! AND AGAIN! AND AGAIN! BLOOD DRAWN FOR BOTH NOW! Kassidy has to let go of the hold as she’s struggling again after Chris just took one hell of an alley oop to get Kassidy to stop too! Now he’s rising back up and collecting his bearings again as Heart is doing the same, refusing to be kept at bay as Chris may be looking to ensure there’s another route of putting his opponent down! But Kassidy is refusing to stay down!!! Kass rushes ahead & looks to take him down—
Stew-O: WITH A DISCUS LARIAT—BUT KASS DUCKS UNDER AS CHRIS RUSHES THE ROPES!! Chris misses with the lariat as he finds himself unable to stop the momentum, rebounding from the ropes in order to rush back toward Kassidy and make momentum return to his side again YET HE’S CAUGHT BY ANOTHER ‘GO TO GAWD’ SPEAR THAT STOPS HIM IN HIS TRACKS!!! The spear puts Chris back down, now looking to make the most out of this time by hooking the leg as she can win right here!
ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THREE—
Flannery McCoy: NOT ENOUGH!!! ELITE IS STILL IN THIS! Kassidy is feeling the wherewithal set in here as she wants to win this match sooner than later! Kass now finds herself backing off, as Chris is languishing around & trying to settle into a proper position here while on the crawl! Kassidy’s eyes are widened as she has all of her focus emphasized on Chris, looking to put this match behind her & end it with what can bring her this victory AS SHE’S RUSHING AHEAD FOR THE ‘PAINFULLY EVER AFTER’—
Jake Mercer: THE STIFF LARIAT FROM ELITE TURNS KASSIDY INSIDE OUT!!!! Kassidy is rocked as she’s just as wide eyed in delirium, rolling herself over to the ropes as she’s got to recollect herself here, this may not end up going too well for her here if she can’t find a way out of this predicament! Chris is looking to bring himself right on over, as there’s no other way that this can possibly go as he’s now seeing that Kassidy in a highly compromised spot here, leading him to rush those ropes before RUNNING BACK—
Stew-O: WITH ‘OPEN YA MATA’!!! V-TRIGGER STAGGERS KASSIDY!!! Chris drags Kassidy over the ropes and doesn’t let up as he’s now got her vulnerable from here, and he makes the run to the ropes & back as he NAILS HER WITH ‘OPP SPOTTER’!!! Chris hooks the leg as the referee now rushes himself to the cover, the former World Champion looking to garner victory!
ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
THREE—
Flannery McCoy: NOT ENOUGH!!! STILL NOT OVER! Kassidy is able to remain in this match as Chris is wide-eyed, understanding that far more will need to be done in order to see to it that he retains before House of Glass! Chris backs himself away from Kassidy, with his hands clutched onto his own head as he’s feeling the frustration! He can declare the end of this match to come right here if he plays his cards right! Chris has the match ready for the closure AS HE’S RUSHING AHEAD & LEAPING OFF FOR THE ‘BOX OFFICE SMASH’—
Jake Mercer: KASSIDY CATCHES ELITE WITH A SUDDEN HEADBUTT THAT STOPS HIM IN HIS TRACKS!!! Chris is wide eyed as he’s now left on a knee, with Kassidy rising up to her feet as the blood is made all the more apparent from both of their faces! And Kass can only grin from ear to ear as she’s SENDING A STIFF ELBOW ACROSS HIS JAW!!! AS CHRIS IS TRYING TO PUT UP THE FIGHT THAT KASSIDY WELCOMES IN MOMENTS LIKE THIS!!!
Stew-O: AND THEY BOTH HAVE THEIR HEADS SET AGAINST ONE ANOTHER! THIS IS SURELY THE BLOODFEST THAT PAINTS THE CANVAS! KASSIDY WITH A FOREARM! ELITE WITH A FOREARM! THEY ARE REFUSING TO GIVE WAY HERE AS THIS IS PANNING OUT ALL THE MORE INTENSELY AS CHRIS SENDS A BOOT INTO KASSIDY TO KNOCK HER BACK—
Flannery McCoy: WHILE KASSIDY RETURNS WITH ‘THE RAPTURE’!!! CHRIS IS DAZED AS THE KICK BLASTS ELITE ACROSS THE JAW! AND NOW KASSIDY GRITS HER TEETH AS SHE GETS BEHIND CHRIS, AND SOON BEFORE LONG—SHE’S GOT THE ‘NECROMAULER’ APPLIED!! CHRIS HAS NO MEANS OF ESCAPE HERE AS KASSIDY IS TRYING TO PUT HIM DOWN FOR GOOD! BUT, CHRIS—
Flannery McCoy: PUSHES OFF THE ROPES WITH HIS FOOT!!! HE’S ABLE TO ROLL BACK & MAKE KASSIDY FALTER BACK AS WELL TO ROLL OVER—ONLY FOR KASS’ TO SHOOT BACK UP & NAIL ‘PAINFULLY EVER AFTER’!!!! SHE DROPS OVER CHRIS WITH THE COVER FROM THERE!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
(DING! DING! DING!)
Stephie Love: HERE IS YOUR WINNER…. KASSIDYYYYYYY HEART!!!!
Stew-O: And that spells a guaranteed victory for Kassidy tonight—THAT IS IMMEDIATELY INTRUDED ON AS DELANEY IS OUT HERE & TACKLING KASS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT!!! MAKING SURE TO DO SO AS KASSIDY’S BACK WAS TURNED!!! Kassidy turns over and she’s firing back from under as Delaney is absolutely irate from what happened earlier on in this very event!
Flannery McCoy: And while that’s going on—DARYL YANKS CHRIS AWAY FROM THE APRON & ONTO RINGSIDE TO RAIN STRIKES UPON ELITE! CHRIS MAY HAVE LOST, BUT HE’S RETURNING THE FIRE AS MUCH AS HE CAN DESPITE THAT AS THERE’S CHAOS PANNING OUT RIGHT NOW!
Jake Mercer: DELANEY IS TRYING TO FIRE BACK AS KASSIDY IS TURNING HER OVER & TAKING MOUNT! KASSIDY RETURNS WITH ELBOWS OF HER OWN AS THE SECURITY IS ALL PILING INTO THE SETTING, LOOKING TO SEPARATE THESE TWO TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY! ABSOLUTELY ALL OF THE CHAOS BETWEEN THESE TWO DISTINCT TANDEM THROWDOWNS!
(The chaos continues as security are separating Kassidy
& Delaney in mass, with both elitists rather intent on focusing on one another & continuing to dish out the punishment, as well as Daryl & Chris being separated off from one another at ringside as they’re all spouting toward one another, leaving off with a rather chaotic end after the closing of the match.)
(A commercial plays for Bloodsport.)
(Friday Night Dynasty returns as the camera focuses on Michael Belfort, as the Dynasty Backstage Correspondent is seen standing by with a microphone in his hand and a smile on his face as he begins to speak.)
Michael Belfort: Welcome! We are just moments away from our main event of the evening in what has been a jam-packed show. Right now, though, please welcome my guest at this time… Brianna Hill!
(The crowd cheers loudly as Brianna Hill is seen making her way into the scene, bearing a smile on her face as she glances over at Michael.)
Michael Belfort: Thank you for joining us, Brianna.
Brianna Hill: Of course.
Michael Belfort: First, I’d like to ask… there’s no doubt that you’re going to be watching this match closely, right?
Brianna Hill: I mean, do I really have a choice? Michael Machina is one of two people I just so happened to start issues with on my first week here on Friday Night Dynasty; there’s no doubt that he’s got his eyes on me. But at the same time, I want him to know that I’m not just anyone who is going to back down from anything. I’m going to stand my ground, and if he thinks that he can just humiliate me for his own benefit, try and get himself closer to the World Heavyweight Championship at my expense, then he’s really going to have to think twice about it.
Michael Belfort: :wow: Bold statement. Do you believe that a match against yourself, BRAE, and Michael Machina is inevitable?
Brianna Hill: I wouldn’t be surprised. I know a lot of people think that I’m biting off more than I can chew, but for the past couple of years I have done nothing but hold my ground in the face of adversity, adversity that has been tougher and stronger than me, and I have beaten them. It may be asking for too much to come out on top, but at the same time, I feel as though people seem to forget the type of impact that Brianna Hill can have on a roster given the right opportunity, and I’m going to show that against two of Dynasty’s best if it comes down to it.
(Brianna beams as the crowd inside of the arena cheers loudly.)
Brianna Hill: But…
(Brianna trails off as she’s speaking, her eyes wandering to someone who is watching in the distance.)
BRAE: Don’t mind me; I was just observing what you had to say. Quite interesting how you choose to position yourself; in a way, I guess we all have something to prove on this brand regardless of how long we’ve been here for. But I feel as though you started an issue that you can’t just back out of on your own volition.
Brianna Hill: Trust me, I know.
(BRAE chuckles as he approaches, the two of them coming face-to-face.)
BRAE: I don’t expect you to understand; it took me a little bit to understand it myself. But the one thing that I will say is that I do hope that you’re able to back up what you say. I’ve met so many people during my time here whose words meant nothing when that bell rang, and they didn’t have the capabilities that they claimed, which ended up being very disappointing. All I want is some good competition to sink my teeth into; it’s not too wrong to ask.
Brianna Hill: Well, I’ll tell you right now that you’re not going to be disappointed. Neither you nor Machina if he thinks of bringing himself back into our business.
BRAE: I am more than welcoming of whatever he has to bring to the table. It is clear to me that he’s emotional right now after losing the World Title, and that’s okay. I just want to clear one misconception with him, and that’s that if there is anyone who is fit to represent Friday Night Dynasty, it’s me. And if I have to beat him *again* in order to prove it… then that’s a fight that I’m ready for, trust me.
Brianna Hill: Well, just know it’s not just him that you have to go through; I’m here as well. And I’m not going to allow you to make a fool out of me for your benefit.
BRAE: I’m counting on it.
???: Imma give you some time to take back those words before I come over there and kick your ass.
(BRAE turns around as Michael Machina is seen making his way into the scene. He’s fitted in his ring gear, preparing for his match coming up next, as he glances over at both of them.)
Michael Machina: I’m tired of the talking, the rambling, all the back and forth. When are we gonna get to the action? When are the two of you gonna back up a single iota of what you’ve said inside of that ring? Because I have, I *know* I have. BRAE is over here talking about being the heart of Friday Night Dynasty, but there’s just one problem with that, and that’s the fact that there’s a huge Machine-shaped elephant in the room that he refuses to address.
BRAE: You want to talk about proof? Well, I feel as though I’ve proved myself more than you’d like to give me credit for, Machina, and that’s to your detriment. I’ve beaten you in the past, and even though a whole lot has changed since then, with two World Titles under your belt, it by no means shows that I have gone stagnant in that period. I have grown stronger to the point where I believe I can be the next World Heavyweight Champion, and if you want to try and chalk it up to stubbornness or some form of foolishness, then you can; that’s your choice. But at the same time, don’t think that I’m scared of proving otherwise.
Brianna Hill: Alright, look, this is cute and all. You’ve spent the past couple of weeks rehashing the same narratives and reopening old wounds, but when are you going to realize that your biggest threat of getting anywhere on this brand is standing right in front of you? I am tired of the disrespect that I am being given by two people who I know that I can beat! So let’s not get all of this started when you KNOW that I am not just going to be the type of person who lays down for the likes of you.
Michael Machina: THAT’S cute… but frankly, I couldn’t give less of a damn. You might be new to this brand, but you got yourself into this situation, and it’s clear that you lack some common sense, so I’m going to be the one to beat it into you along with BRAE. Hopefully that will be enough to put to bed this very unnecessary competition between us.
BRAE: If you want, then we are more than welcome to settle this RIGHT HERE-
???: Everyone! Everyone! Calm down, please!
(The three of them stop, as they turn to see Tyrone Montgomery, who has rushed out of his office, seeing the commotion that they’re causing backstage.)
Tyrone Montgomery: You couldn’t have done this out in the ring? You *had* to do it right in front of my office?
Brianna Hill: Sorry…?
Tyrone Montgomery: Whatever. Anyway, it’s been made apparent to me that the three of you have some issues that need to be settled heading into the new season, so let’s finally take the time to put this to bed. At Reckless Wiring, it is going to be Michael Machina versus Brianna Hill versus BRAE in a triple threat match!
(The crowd inside of the arena is heard cheering loudly as all three of them have an expression that they almost knew this was going to be inevitable. Machina crosses his arms, not looking impressed just yet.)
Michael Machina: What’s the catch?
Tyrone Montgomery: Well, I’m getting there if you’d let me finish…
(Tyrone composes himself, as he goes on.)
Tyrone Montgomery: Not only that, but the winner of this match will go on to Territorial Invasion to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship!
(A loud reaction is heard once more for the announcement, as all three Elitists look more than happy about this.)
Brianna Hill: Fine by me.
BRAE: I have been waiting a very… very long time for this.
Michael Machina: I haven’t been deprived as you two have of a World Title; let’s call a spade a spade. But people seem to have underestimated recently just how far I’ll go to get it back. I understand that the two of you have your dreams and ambitions that you’ve been working on, but I’m gonna put it to bed right now, ‘cause there’s only one person who deserves to fight for that title at Territorial Invasion and it’s me.
(Machina glares at both of them.)
Michael Machina: One year ago at that exact event, I beat Cy Henderson to win my second World Title, kickstarting a reign that has become undeniable in the ethos of this company. I could be content with that, but I’m not, and if I have to work my ass off around here to get to where I need to be, meanwhile my opponent in the ring just has to ask and get a title shot, then so be it; I’ll work my ass off like I’ve done for three years and counting without fail. But I’ll leave the two of you with a warning, one that you should take heed of before it comes back around and bites you in the ass.
(Machina leans forward, continuing to stare a hole into them.)
Michael Machina: You’re one goddamn fool if you think I’m gonna let the World Heavyweight Title slip from me again.
(The crowd inside the arena cheers loudly as both BRAE and Brianna glare at Michael Machina. After a moment, he focuses back in, beginning to jump in place.)
Michael Machina: Now if you don’t mind… I got a Bullet From Hell waiting for the King inside the ring. I’d recommend that neither of you get involved.
(Machina continues his walk as he begins to head to Gorilla Position. BRAE and Brianna glance at one another; even though it’s clear that there is a level of animosity between the three of them, they were never going to consider doing that in the first place.)
BRAE: Here is me telling you personally that I will not be stopped solely because of you or him. I hope you know what you signed up for.
(Brianna chuckles, nodding her head.)
Brianna Hill: I hope for your sake that’s true, BRAE.
(Brianna turns around and makes her way out of the scene, as BRAE watches her leave with a smirk on his face, heading toward the opposite direction. It’s the very last shot seen before Friday Night Dynasty fades to elsewhere.)
(A commercial plays for Midsummer Massacre.)
Stephie Love: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE FOLLOWING MATCH IS SCHEDULED FOR ONE FALL!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Stephie Love: AND IT IS YOUR MAIN EVENT OF THE EVENING!
(“Equus” by Ne Obliviscaris began blaring through the speakers to loud cheers as King Sulvahn IV proudly emerged from behind the stage curtains, hyping up the audience as he does. He begins making his way down the ramp, handing off his customized weight belt to a fan in the front row as he does.)
Stephie Love: INTRODUCING FIRST! Hailing from London, England, weighing in at 222 pounds… he is THE GREATER WILL, KING SULYVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN IV!
Stew-O: King Sulyvahn IV made QUITE the entrance to Elite Answers Wrestling as he immediately went to target Drake King, the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion!
Flannery McCoy: And not only that, he’s having his debut match here going up against none other than the FORMER World Heavyweight Champion, Michael Machina!
Jake Mercer: There’s a ton of hype beyond Sulyvahn, but now it’s time to see if he can live up to it!
(“Apostle’s Warning” by Mobb Deep started playing loudly to huge cheers as Michael Machina burst out from behind the stage curtains, striking a pose before issuing a hardened stare towards his opponent standing in the ring. He began marching down the ramp towards the squared circle.)
Stephie Love: AND HIS OPPONENT! Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, weighing in at 250 pounds… THE NEW LEGEND, MICHAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL! MAAAAAAAAACHINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Stew-O: The New Legend will be looking to give Sulyvahn a ROUGH entry into the company in his debut match!
Flannery McCoy: We already saw what he did to NICK last week after that mysterious assault backstage!
Jake Mercer: Tonight, though, Sulyvahn will be entering at full health, and with Machina wanting to fight his way back to the world title with the likes of BRAE and Brianna wanting the same, this match will be just as important for Machina!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Stew-O: And the match is underway! Two elite competitors, Sulyvahn and Machina, going head to head in the main event of the evening!
Flannery McCoy: For the uninitiated, Sulyvahn is a pure wrestling traditionalist, so we can expect some mastery over technical grappling from the king!
Jake Mercer: Machina can go tit for tat when it comes to grappling, but while Machina is adept in his own right, we know that his main specialty is the POWER game!
Stew-O: Both elitists make their way out from their respective corners as they begin circling the ring, keeping their eyes locked on each other!
Flannery McCoy: Ultimately, Machina is the first to act, aggressively lurching out to test Sulyvahn’s technical expertise live in person for the first time!
Jake Mercer: A collar and elbow tie up is established right in the center of the ring as the two wrestlers struggle against each other, jockeying for position!
Stew-O: Michael Machina is getting the initial power advantage as he starts pushing Sulyvahn back towards the very corner that the greater will emerged from in the first place!
Flannery McCoy: But Sulyvahn rejects that fate, managing to slip underneath the arm of Machina before yanking the Machine back with a rear waist lock, bringing him back towards the center of the ring!
Jake Mercer: Machina attempts a back elbow to free himself, but Sulyvahn had it scouted as he ducks the attempt before hoisting Machina up and dropping him with a rear waist lock take down!
Stew-O: And before Machina can scramble back to his feet, Sulyvahn locks in a side headlock, compressing the head of the New Legend as he drags him back up to a standing position!
Flannery McCoy: A quick strike to the roof of Machina’s head is executed by the greater will before he doubles down on it with a bionic elbow to stun the New Legend!
Jake Mercer: Machina staggers back, which Sulyvahn looks to capitalize on as he pushes the New Legend back against the ropes before making him rebound and run across the length of the ring!
Stew-O: Machina then rebounds off the ropes on the opposite side of the ring before rushing back towards Sulyvahn, who prepares to intercept– LOOKING TO EXECUTE A SCOOP POWERSLAM!
Flannery McCoy: But Machina connects with an elbow smash before Sulyvahn could rotate himself to drop Machina with that scoop powerslam!
Jake Mercer: Sulyvahn staggers back, clutching at his jaw in pain before Machina follows up, lurching forward and dropping Sulyvahn with a HEAVY shoulder tackle that causes the greater will to crash down onto the canvas!
Stew-O: Sulyvahn doesn’t stay down for long, though, as he immediately starts scrambling up, not wanting the Machine to be able to build up the momentum that he has shown throughout his career to be a death knell!
Flannery McCoy: But it’s all for naught, as Michael Machina connects with a big boot the moment Sulyvahn gets back up to a standing position! That boot would normally flatten someone, but with Sulyvahn being so close to the corner, it just causes him to crash back-first into the turnbuckles!
Jake Mercer: King Sulyvahn IV is cornered, now, and Machina is taking FULL advantage of it as he begins firing off with strike after strike!
Stew-O: After peppering Sulyvahn with some vicious closed-fist punches, Machina pulls Sulyvahn out of the corner– ONLY TO YANK HIM BACK AND FLATTEN HIM WITH A SHORT ARM CLOTHESLINE!
Flannery McCoy: Machina is putting Sulyvahn through the ringer, and he looks to make things go from bad to worse as he positions himself before LEAPING high up into the air!
Jake Mercer: A perfect back rotation later and Machina crashes down on King Sulyvahn IV with a standing moonsault– OR NOT!
Stew-O: Sulyvahn manages to counter the maneuver by getting his knees up! One hell of a bad landing for Michael Machina against Sulyvahn, who had Machina’s great agility scouted out in advance!
Flannery McCoy: Machina is clutching at his midsection as he staggers off of Sulyvahn; that reversal must’ve done some big damage to the Machine’s rib cage, with his own weight advantage being used against him!
Jake Mercer: As Machina is reeling, Sulyvahn scouts this out as a rare moment of vulnerability in the New Legend’s armor that he fully intends to capitalize on!
Stew-O: Sulyvahn himself scrambles back up to a standing position as quickly as he can before Machina has the chance to recover… AND CONNECTS WITH A CLOTHESLINE!
Flannery McCoy: Machina endures and scrambles back up with swiftness, only to get hit with another clothesline!
Jake Mercer: Up goes the Machine once again, not quite as fast as the first time, but as he brings his arms up to block a third clothesline, he gets hit with a surprise change in the sequence as Sulyvahn fires off a dropkick that knocks Machina down once more!
Stew-O: And now Sulyvahn looks to end things as he hooks both of Machina’s legs as tightly as he can, looking for the surprise pinfall out of nowhere!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWO-
Flannery McCoy: But Machina kicks out of it with gusto! Sulyvahn seems to have expected Machina wouldn’t be taken down quite that easily, because he smoothly transitions from Machina’s kickout right into a CROSSFACE SUBMISSION HOLD!
Jake Mercer: He’s got it locked in, wrenching back as hard as he can against the face of Machina, leaving the New Legend to scratch and claw at the canvas, trying his best to get out of it!
Stew-O: Sulyvahn is an expert grappler, though, and he isn’t making it easy at all to be able to get out of this maneuver! The longer that the crossface stays locked in, the more damage is done to the face and head of Machina, and that’s exactly what Sulyvahn is counting on when you consider that much of his best offense targets the head in one form or another!
Flannery McCoy: Slowly but surely, though, Machina starts to inch his way to salvation, as he starts using his free arm to push the side of his body up for some leverage, getting his knee against the canvas and bringing his body up as much as he can to destabilize the submission hold!
Jake Mercer: Sulyvahn does his best to restabilize the hold, but it’s too late as Machina manages to forcefully free the arm that Sulyvahn had trapped, and with both arms free now, Machina manages to wrap his arms around the waist of Sulyvahn and slowly powers himself up while hoisting the greater will!
Stew-O: Sulyvahn leaves the canvas as he gets lifted up into the air before Machina DROPS Sulyvahn with a tremendous back suplex! Showing the newcomer why he managed to reign so long as the World Heavyweight Champion last season!
Flannery McCoy: And he didn’t let that earlier reversal of the standing moonsault go unanswered either! Right after he drops Sulyvahn down onto the canvas with that back suplex, Machina jumps right back to a standing position before leaping into the air with a backflip and dropping onto the greater will with a moonsault!
Jake Mercer: He stays on top of Sulyvahn after connecting with that moonsault as he hooks the legs! Does he have the newcomer pinned right here and now?!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOO-
Stew-O: But no, Sulyvahn managed to kick out of it! Machina doesn’t hesitate for even a single second, though, because right as Sulyvahn kicked out, he hoisted Sulyvahn right back up off the canvas with a classic bodyslam hold!
Flannery McCoy: I think we know what the Machine is going for here… he turns away from the ropes before backflipping once again! THE TRADEMARK MOONSAULT FALLAWAY SLAM OF THE NEW LEGEND CONNECTS AS HE CRASHES DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS USING THE BODY OF KING SULYVAHN IV AS A CUSHION!
Jake Mercer: And AGAIN he hooks the legs, testing Sulyvahn to see if that was enough to knock him out!
ONEEEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Stew-O: But once again, it’s not enough, Sulyvahn is showing some incredible resilience against the monstrous Michael Machina by kicking out again and again after everything the Machine throws at him!
Flannery McCoy: Michael Machina is no stranger to resilient opponents; not a hard thing to grasp when you have an opponent that keeps persevering, you just need to hit them even harder than you already were! The New Legend has some DEVASTATING maneuvers in his arsenal that he has yet to unleash!
Jake Mercer: From that look in his eyes, though, it looks like he is going to be looking to unleash those maneuvers onto Sulyvahn! He has no intention of being a sacrifice to King Sulyvahn IV, especially in his debut match!
Stew-O: EAW debut or not, he has a ton of wrestling experience from before joining Elite Answers Wrestling, and we’re seeing on display right here why Sulyvahn has become a force to be reckoned with in the industry as a whole!
Flannery McCoy: Machina glares down at his opponent as he grabs him by the head and drags him back up to a standing position before kicking him in the midsection to force him to double over!
Jake Mercer: He applies a front facelock and throws the arm over his head before lifting him up with a vertical suplex lift… just to drop him with an X PLEX! Sulyvahn crashes down unceremoniously onto the canvas!
Stew-O: Machina uses that move to set Sulyvahn up before measuring him up, rotating his arm in preparation for what I can only imagine is the MONEY SHOT!
Flannery McCoy: Sulyvahn is dazed as he staggers back up to a standing position, and that’s all Machina needed to see as he lurches out from the corner at a breakneck speed before LAUNCHING his arm at Sulyvan with the money shot!!
Jake Mercer: BUT SULYVAHN DUCKED UNDERNEATH IT! MONEY SHOT DID NOT CONNECT, AND MACHINA STUMBLES FORWARD, NOT EXPECTING SULYVAHN TO HAVE ENOUGH LEFT IN HIM TO EVADE IT!
Stew-O: SULYVAHN DOESN’T LET MACHINA’S UNDERESTIMATION TO GO TO WASTE AS HE RUSHES PAST THE NEW LEGEND TOWARDS THE ROPES BEFORE SPRINGBOARDING OFF OF THEM!
Flannery McCoy: MAGDELENE! MAGDELENE! THE SIGNATURE SPRINGBOARD CUTTER FROM SULYVAHN CONNECTS AS MACHINA’S FACE CRASHES RIGHT DOWN ONTO THE CANVAS WITH IMPUNITY!
Jake Mercer: THE CROWD COMES OFF THEIR FEET AS SULYVAHN SIGNALS FOR MACHINA’S DEMISE, BUT WILL HE BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THROUGH?!
Stew-O: HE APPLIES AN INVERTED FACELOCK AND USES IT TO FORCE MACHINA BACK UP TO A STANDING POSITION, LEANING ON SULYVAHN’S ARMS, BEFORE…
Flannery McCoy: SATURATE! THE FINISHING CROSSRHODES CONNECTS– WAIT, WHAT?!
Jake Mercer: SULYVAHN ISN’T LETTING IT GO! THIS IS THE RECENT WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION HE’S GOING UP AGAINST AND HE ISN’T PUTTING ANYTHING TO CHANCE AS HE FORCES MACHINA RIGHT BACK UP…
Stew-O: ONLY TO HIT A SECOND SATURATE! I’VE HEARD STORIES ABOUT WHAT SULYVAHN IS DOING HERE… BECAUSE HE’S GOING FOR IT ONE! MORE! TIME!
Flannery McCoy: FOR HIS DEBUT MATCH, MACHINA IS LIFTED UP A THIRD TIME… BEFORE IT CONNECTS ONCE MORE! THE FORGET NOT! THE ULTIMATE TRIFECTA IN SULYVAN’S REPERTOIRE CONNECTS ON THE FORMER WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BEFORE HE HOOKS THE LEG!
Jake Mercer: HE MIGHT HAVE IT! HE MIGHT HAVE IT! THE REFEREE SLIDES IN FOR THE COUNT!
ONEEEEEEEEEE!
TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
(Ding! Ding! Ding!)
Stephie Love: HERE IS YOUR WINNER… THE GREATER WILL, KING! SULYVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN IV!
(“Equus” by Ne Obliviscaris began blaring through the speakers once more to a raucous reaction as Sulyvahn stuns the EAW Universe by pinning Michael Machina in his debut match. Sulyvahn slowly staggers off of Machina’s body as he gets his arm raised in triumph by the referee.)
Stew-O: WHAT A PERFORMANCE BY KING SULYVAHN IV! IN THE MAIN EVENT OF DYNASTY, HE SPENDS HIS DEBUT MATCH PERSEVERING OVER THE MAN WHO REIGNED FOR NEARLY THREE HUNDRED DAYS AS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
Flannery McCoy: You have to imagine Drake King is watching this with some consternation, especially after his earlier attempt at an assault at the start of the show, as Sulyvahn perseveres over the man that Drake himself just beat at Pain for Pride XIX!
Jake Mercer: If there was any doubt about what Sulyvahn brings to the table, that doubt is extinguished with this match as he comes out on top in this tremendous result– WAIT, WHAT?!
Stew-O: IT’S DRAKE KING! HIS EARLIER ATTEMPT WASN’T ENOUGH, NOW HE CAPITALIZES ON SULYVAHN’S EXHAUSTION WITH THIS POST-MATCH ATTACK AS HE DROPS SULYVAN WITH IMPUNITY!
Flannery McCoy: AND AS IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH… JUDGEMENT DAY! JUDGEMENT DAY! HE STOMPS THE HEAD OF SULYVAHN INTO THE CANVAS WITH JUDGEMENT DAY!
Jake Mercer: WITH THE BODIES OF MACHINA AND SULYVAHN LITTERED AROUND HIM, THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION STANDS TALL AND BASKS IN HIS OWN GREATNESS!
(The video feed lingers as Drake King glares down at Sulyvahn before the show fades to black.)
(EAW logo buzzes…)
