BREAKING: Sunday Night Voltage Match Changed!

BREAKING: Sunday Night Voltage Match Changed!

(Fight Grid intro plays.)

[SCREENBAR – The Wells Fargo Center, after Sunday Night Voltage.]

(Rather than fading into EAW Headquarters, the camera opens up to The Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the location of the most recent Sunday Night Voltage show. Captain Charisma is seen in his office working, but before long he receives a knock on his door.)

Captain Charisma: You can come in.

(The door opens, and it’s none other than one of Voltage’s “newest signees”, Gary Daniels. Immediately after seeing him, Captain Charisma just shakes his head. He can already tell that he doesn’t like what he’s about to hear, as Gary approaches him with a bit of concerned look on his face.)

Captain Charisma: Can I help you?

Gary Daniels: Yes, actually. I noticed that the card for next week’s Voltage show was posted, but there seems to be some kind of mistake. Charlie Marr allowed me to face Rex McAllister in that Pick Your Poison match, so how come that Drake King guy is scheduled to face him? I don’t even think he works here anymore, so shouldn’t I be the one facing Rex next week?

(Captain Charisma just stares at Gary for a moment, not even saying a word before he eventually just sighs. Only then he begins to respond.)

Captain Charisma: What exactly is the problem?

Gary Daniels: I don’t mean any disrespect, but I don’t really like that this keeps happening to me. I’ve only been a member of the EAW roster for a few weeks, but for some reason I keep being mistaken for this Drake King, and he hasn’t been around! I’m not sure exactly where he’s been, but for as long as I’ve been here that Drake guy has been completely missing. I haven’t seen him since I joined Voltage, so maybe he got injured or decided to quit before I signed my contract. Either way, I don’t really like that I keep being compared to someone that I’ve never even met before. I want to be viewed as my own competitor. I’m really not Drake King, and I’m honestly not sure if he’ll ever come back. I may not be Drake, but I am Gary Daniels, and if it’s okay I’d love to have a match next week!

(Captain Charisma once again just looks at Gary Daniels, still having a bit of trouble processing the whole situation with Drake King and “Gary Daniels”. As much as Captain Charisma would like to just tell Gary to get out of his office, he instead decides to answer him.)

Captain Charisma: You know what? Fine, if you say so. Since Drake King is nowhere to be seen and Rex McAllister still needs an opponent for next week’s Voltage, would you like to face Rex instead?

(This brings a big smile to the face of Gary Daniels, who is clearly excited over the idea of facing a Hall of Famer and EAW legend like Rex McAllister in only his second ever match.)

Gary Daniels: Of course! I’d love to face Rex next week!

Captain Charisma: Great, then it’s official. Instead of Drake King, Gary Daniels versus Rex McAllister will now be taking place. Are we done here?

Gary Daniels: :blessed: Yep! Thanks a lot Captain Charisma, this means a lot to me!

Captain Charisma: Right. :francis:

(Gary Daniels walks out of the office with a smile on his face, clearly happy with how things turned out. Captain Charisma is just stunned by what just took place, and he just shakes his head before turning his attention back to his work. From there, the camera begins to fade out.)
