[SCREENBAR: BILOXI BEACH IN BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI – 05/21/2023]
(Fight Grid opens up with a shot of Biloxi Beach on Sunday, where the Beach Brawl 2023 special of Sunday Night Voltage was airing from. The action is just beginning to come to a close with the sun setting on the shore in the distance, the camera panning over to a nearby medical tent that has been set up for the show. Inside, Voltage Commissioner Captain Charisma is seen, arms crossed as he watches a number of medical personnel check on Universal Women’s Champion Dr. Bethany Blue, concerned after the attack that happened earlier in the night by Saturday Night Showdown’s Kassidy Heart, who invaded and beat Bethany to a bloody pulp.)
Captain Charisma: Bethany, I’m so sorry this happened-
(Bethany holds up her hand, scrunching her face in pain as she sits up and looks over at Captain Charisma with an annoyed expression on her face.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: Sa- save it…
(For the next couple of hours after that, Bethany was out cold. But when she came to her senses, it’s safe to say that she was absolutely fuming. She is sat up on one of the beds, reluctantly allowing the staff to clean off the blood and tend to her wounds. Even with all the work, she’s still a mess, the table of bloody glass shards at her bedside emphasizing that.)
Dr. Bethany Blue: I… I don’t care what you can or couldn’t do. It doesn’t take away from the fact that what Kassidy Heart did out there was inhumane and absolutely unacceptable…. This isn’t just a one-time occurrence that we can just sweep under the rug and pre- pretend never happened… this type of behavior from her should’ve been condemned a long time ago, but we allow this to happen and this… this is what comes of it. People for weeks have questioned why I’ve done… what I’ve done, even my husband can’t wrap his mind around it. But now do you see what myself and the rest of the Elitists in this company have ha- had to go through with this c- cancer amongst us?
(Bethany is breathing heavily, trying to get her thoughts together, definitely feeling the effects of the attack still.)
Captain Charisma: I’m not obliged to give my personal opinion on the matter, but what I can say is that Kassidy Heart-
Dr. Bethany Blue: I’m… I’m not done. This is just as much of a problem for… you… as it is for me, and I’m not going to allow myself to go through this type of treatment anymore. The person that needs to undergo some sort of treatment is Ka- Kassidy, and I DEMAND that she is to undergo a psychiatric evaluation or she can ki- kiss that Pain For Pride match goodbye… because I’m not even going to step foot near her… until then.
(There’s a moment of silence after Bethany is done speaking. Captain Charisma nods his head before looking back at her.)
Captain Charisma: I’ll see what I can do.
(Bethany doesn’t say anything back, prompting Captain Charisma to turn around and leave the medical tent, leaving a displeased Bethany to continue to be checked on by the personnel surrounding her. It’s the last shot seen before Fight Grid from there begins to fade out.)
