The month of February saw the first marquee event of 2026, that being King of Elite. This event as always hosts the finals of the prestigious Empress of Elite and King of Elite tournaments as well as a series of competitive, high level matches. This year, the show would close with a King of Elite finals match between three rising stars who’ve all established themselves as some of the best of the current generation. The winner of that match would be none other than February’s Elitist of the Month, Cody Maverick! Cody Maverick had a very difficult road to the King of Elite finals, and his road didn’t get any easier as he was up against both Akari Kiyoko and the Interwire Champion, BRAE. This didn’t stop the former National Elite Champion though, as Cody Maverick was able to give it his all and ultimately find himself with the crown, and the opportunity to gain a World Championship match on any date of his choosing. This is a huge opportunity and a major step forward for Cody Maverick, and it is undeniable that he has earned it with everything he has experienced to get to this point. Congratulations to Cody Maverick, the 2026 King of Elite who may very well be on the verge of becoming World Champion!
