On the road to Pain for Pride, the month of May saw the final marquee event before the biggest show of the entire year. Fighting Spirit was one of the final marquee events of the season, and it undoubtedly delivered. There were amazing matches all across the board, and on top of this there were tons of incredibly shocking moments. One of those moments contributed to a certain Elitist’s month being so special. That Elitist is none other than the new EAW World Champion, Drake King! At Fighting Spirit, Drake went up against Myles in a match that was given to him by Methuselah, but things would take a shocking turn as in the match itself, Methuselah would spear Myles, opening the door for Drake to pick up the victory and become Champion! This is far from the only event that took place that night either, as following his decision to stand against Methuselah and reject his offer regarding the Gawd Contract, Methuselah would set up a Pain for Pride match between the two. Drake King is now a three time World Champion following Fighting Spirit and will be walking into Pain for Pride for what may just be the biggest match of his entire career. Congratulations to the new EAW World Champion, Drake King!
