In the second month of 2022, EAW held their first free-per-view of the year with King of Elite! This was a huge event as it featured the conclusions of both the Empress of Elite and King of Elite tournaments, as well as tons of Championship defenses all across the board. In the end King of Elite would be a fantastic event, but one Elitist’s performance stood out. After such a huge month, February’s Elitist of the Month is Andre Walker! Very recently Andre Walker announced that he’d be challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship at Pain for Pride, but there’s a reason he got the opportunity to do so in the first place. At King of Elite, Andre would face Adam Lucas and Chris Elite, some of Voltage and Showdown’s best talents, in a triple threat in the King of Elite finals. As always the winner of this match would be crowned King and get a World Championship match at any time they choose, and in the end, Andre Walker managed to leave King of Elite with that major opportunity after picking up the victory, winning the King of Elite finals while already holding the Interwire Championship! This is such a unique accomplishment that you don’t see very often, with the last person to do so being Malcolm Jones three years ago. Congratulations Andre Walker!
