(Fight Grid intro plays.)
(The camera opens, panning around EAW Headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. The camera fades inside of the building to show Molly Waters behind her usual news desk. She has a smile on her face as the camera pans towards her, but unlike usual, she’s not on her own.)
Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Fight Grid, the place that brings you all the news surrounding the Land of Elite! I’m Molly Waters, and usually I’d be the one bringing the breaking news, but today we have a special guest, Voltage’s commissioner himself, Captain Charisma!
(The camera slightly pans over to the side, focusing on Captain Charisma as he gives a bit of a wave.)
Captain Charisma: As I’m sure you all know by now, there’s been an unfortunate legal situation going on here on Voltage between Minerva and Drake King. Drake King filed a restraining order on Minerva, and as of right now, these two can’t actually be in the same building at the same time. Right now there’s an ongoing legal battle between Drake’s legal team and our own as we continue working to get something settled so Minerva is able to compete by Shock Value. This is more important than ever right now, and that’s because there’s a good chance Minerva might already have someone lined up for her. While Minerva was unfortunately not allowed to enter the building on Sunday, after the show a challenger stepped forward, and I have to say, I was really interested in the idea they had to offer. This person is no stranger to Voltage, and in fact, he faced Minerva in his last match on the brand before leaving and going to Dynasty last season. That person..
Captain Charisma: .. Is none other than Showdown’s own, Adam Lucas!
Molly Waters: :oh:
Captain Charisma: Adam Lucas had contacted Hurricane Hawk, asking him to reach out to me because if there’s anything Adam believes in and embodies it’s the spirit of competition, and someone like Minerva who’s one of the very best should get the chance to showcase her talent just like everyone else. Adam said that he wanted nothing more than to continue facing the best and proving himself, and while his match at Dia Del Diablo against Impact will undoubtedly be huge for him, so would this match against Minerva.
(Molly Waters is clearly surprised hearing the announcement of Showdown’s Adam Lucas stepping up to challenge Minerva, and she has a smile on her face as she begins to speak.)
Molly Waters: Wow! Minerva versus Adam Lucas, that’s great! Should all the legalities get worked out, what kind of stipulation do you have planned for that?
(A grin appears on Captain Charisma’s face.)
Captain Charisma: Actually, I was kind of hoping you’d ask. There’s definitely a few more stipulations that need announcing, and this is the perfect match to start with. Should everything get worked out, Minerva versus Adam Lucas will take place in an “ELECTRIC SCAFFOLD MATCH”!
(This just leaves Molly Waters even more surprised than before.)
Captain Charisma: That’s not all. Things have been heating up in the tag team division, and with the team of Kirk Redwood and Shane Gates going up against Dynasty’s Johnny Andrews and Solomon Stane, they’ll be competing in an “ELECTRIC FLOORS MATCH”!
Captain Charisma: Next on the list we have the former Specialists Champion Miku Sakai taking on Becca Black in Becca’s first free-per-view match since her injury suffered at the hands of IDOL-GUN! Their match at Shock Value will be the return of the “ELECTRIC CHAIR MATCH”!
Captain Charisma: Mary S. Atlas calling out Madison Kaline was an unexpected, and welcome development recently. Madison’s preparing to challenge for the Universal Women’s Championship, but before she does that, she’ll be competing in a match called “PRODS AND TASERS OH MY”!
Molly Waters: :oh: What exactly is that, Captain Charisma?
Captain Charisma:  It’s a very extreme take on a lumberjack match, Molly. I’ve invited our Peformance Center recruits to stand at ringside armed with cattle prods and tasers and it’s their job to just zap the shit out of the competitors until they get back into the ring.
Molly Waters: Damn. What else?
Captain Charisma: Even with #EAW15 trending I can’t say I expected a match like Cleopatra versus Kendra Shamez, but I’m not against it in the slightest. At Shock Value we’re going to see two legends and some of the biggest names in women’s wrestling history go at it, and it’ll be in an “ELECTRIC SPACE HEATER DEATHMATCH”! I’m sure they never thought they would compete in such a thing but that’s Voltage for you and knowing both of them as well as I do, I know they’ll be able to handle it :wow:
Captain Charisma: And last but certainly not least, I’ve come up with a fantastic stipulation for this one. It’s the first ever match of its kind in EAW, and I just can’t think of two better Elitists than Drake King and Xander Payne to compete in it. With Drake having to join whatever Xander Payne’s group is called if he loses, these two will go at it in an “ELECTRIC POOL MATCH”!!
Molly Waters: An Electric Pool match?? :krabs:
Captain Charisma: Yep!
Molly Waters: Seriously? This is actually happening?
Captain Charisma: One hundred percent happening.
Molly Waters: :lupe: That sounds dangerous, even for Voltage’s standards! This might be the second year in a row Voltage experiences a loss of life at Shock Value.
Captain Charisma: #RIPMyBigHomieAzrael
Molly Waters: #RIPMyBigHomieAzrael
(Molly Waters turns back at the camera.)
Molly Waters: That’s all we have for you today everyone, but you can see all of these exciting matches take place at Shock Value! As always I’m Molly Waters, signing out!
(With a smile on Molly’s face, the camera begins to pan out and away from her and Captain Charisma, before completely fading to black.)
(Fight Grid logo buzzes.)
