In the month of June, EAW saw the final month of season 17. This month saw the biggest show of the year in Pain for Pride, and Pain for Pride this year, and to say that it delivered would be a severe understatement. This may have been one of the biggest Pain for Prides of all time, and with this came moments that will never be forgotten. With that being said, June’s Elitist of the Month was the man who retained the World Heavyweight Championship at Pain for Pride in one of the biggest matches ever, Myles! At Pain for Pride Myles defended his Championship against an all-time great in Jamie O’Hara, but that’s not all. In this match Jamie’s career was on the line, meaning a loss would result in his retirement. Thanks to this and Jamie’s own actions, this match would be an incredibly personal end to Pain for Pride, and in the end, Myles would end the amazing career of Jamie O’Hara. This is a historic accomplishment that could only be done once, and it was Myles that did it to keep his World Heavyweight Championship. This has absolutely established Myles as one of EAW’s very best, and allowed him to head into the next season as World Champion. Congratulations to Myles for a Pain for Pride moment that will never be forgotten!
