(The scene opens up inside EAW Headquarters, and to the proverbial newsroom. Molly Waters is seen sitting behind her desk and she has a professional, yet somber expression on her face.)

Molly Waters: Last night in Houston, Voltage put on their annual Shock Value event, which is their final brand exclusive event of the season. As always, it was an exciting, albeit violent event. One of the most highly anticipated matches of the evening involved Dr. Bethany Blue defending her Hardcore Championship against her husband, Adam Lucas. The build-up to the event was rather controversial, and we saw cracks in their solid marriage beginning to form. Needless to say, the members of the EAW Universe weren’t exactly sure what they were going to get last night, and I highly doubt any of them could have predicted what was to come.

Molly Waters: When the dust settled, neither Adam nor Bethany would emerge with the Hardcore Championship. It would be Kai Rabeaux, victorious earlier in the night against Hans Grayson, who would walk away with the championship and orchestrated a single minute in time that would change the course of Adam and Bethany’s lives.

(Molly takes a deep breath.)

Molly Waters: I am here this afternoon to bring you an update on Dr. Bethany Blue’s and Adam Lucas’ conditions. It was a harrowing scene as Kai snatched the Hardcore Championship from the referee and celebrated, as two people who put their professional and personal lives on the line were stretchered out of the arena. Bethany’s screams of anguish reverberated throughout the stadium last night and unfortunately, I don’t have good news.

Molly Waters: Unbeknownst to Bethany, as well as Adam, Bethany was at or around eight weeks pregnant with their first child. A representative for them stated that Dr. Blue has been an advocate of the IUD form of birth control, something she has recommended for her own patients, but unfortunately she fell into the 1% of patients that can actually get pregnant while on it.

Molly Waters: The fetus did not survive due to the severity of the injuries Bethany suffered. Bethany’s rep said she would not be commenting on the situation at this time and would like privacy. Adam Lucas’ injuries involved severe facial lacerations and bruises, as well as a severe concussion. Upon finding out what happened, he destroyed his hospital room, was refused to be seen by Bethany, and ultimately caused a big enough disturbance that a ‘Code Gray’ was called at the hospital and he was escorted off the premises in handcuffs. He also declined to comment.

Molly Waters: What was already a sad situation in terms of their marriage, has now been marred by something unthinkable. At this time, all of us at EAW send our well wishes to both Bethany and Adam. Thank you so much and have a good afternoon.

In the month of March, the road to Pain for Pride continued with EAW’s brand exclusive marquee events. These were fantastic shows, but one of these shows featured a legendary moment as a history making Championship reign came to an end. At Shock Value Milli Banks would lose her Universal Women’s Championship after a reign that broke the record for the longest reign with the title, and the new Champion would be none other than the Elitist of the Month for March, Bea Valentine! At King of Elite Bea Valentine won the Empress of Elite tournament, and she wasted no time cashing in as she set up this match against Milli for Shock Value, believing that she was ready to win her first World Championship. Ultimately Bea was able to prove that she really was ready after all, as she defeated Milli Banks in an incredible match to become the new Universal Women’s Champion! This was an incredible victory for Bea Valentine who now will be heading into Grand Rampage with her first World Championship, and a successful cash in with the Empress of Elite crown. This was a well deserved victory for Bea who was able to turn her season around in an amazing way, so congratulations to the new Universal Women’s Champion!

The month of February saw one of the biggest, as well as the first event of the year with King of Elite! As always this was a huge show that brought the very best out of the EAW roster, knowing that the road for Pain for Pride is starting and that this is the time for them to get where they want to be. This was a fantastic show, and the main event of the entire show would be the finals of the King of Elite tournament. This was a stacked match filled with talent, and the winner would be none other than February’s Elitist of the Month, Drake Armstrong! Drake Armstrong has never been a fan favorite in EAW, but despite how the fans may feel about him, what can’t be denied is his talent. Drake Armstrong was in a match against a Hall of Famer in TLA and the current Hardcore Champion Solomon Stane, and despite the amazing competitors in the ring with him, Drake was able to come out of this match with the victory, becoming 2025’s King of Elite! This was a monumental victory for Drake Armstrong, who is now on track to becoming a World Champion for the first time in his career. Congratulations to Drake Armstrong for winning the King of Elite tournament!

In the month of January we started the new year as well as the second half of season 18. As always the year started off with a bang as both the King of Elite and Empress of Elite tournaments were held, with both tournaments finding their finalists as we approach the King of Elite marquee event. Both of these tournaments featured many talented Elitists across all three brands as Elitists all across EAW look to find their way to either their first or another World Championship reign, but January’s Elitist of the Month is someone with the opportunity to become a double Champion, and that is the Hardcore Champion Solomon Stane! Solomon Stane has had a fantastic month, as his Hardcore Championship reign would kick off with some major victories in the King of Elite tournament. He’d start the tournament with a victory over former World Champion Limmy Monaghan, before defeating Daryl Kinkade to advance to the semi-finals! Ultimately Solomon would also win against a man who could potentially become Unified Tag Team Champion at King of Elite in Akari Kiyoko, securing a spot in the finals with a fantastic run all throughout this tournament. Solomon has had a great month and his reign as Hardcore Champion is off to an amazing start, so congratulations to the Hardcore Champion and potential King of Elite!

With the month of December, the year 2024 has come to an end. 2024 was an amazing year for EAW, but the year ended on a very high note with the final marquee event of the year, Road to Redemption. This was an incredible show filled with surprises, making this the perfect way to close out the year. With such a show, many Elitists would have amazing moments for themselves, and one of those Elitists had a standout night. The Elitist of the Month for the month of December is none other than the NEW EAW World Champion, Michael Machina! Michael Machina was one of the participants in Voltage’s Extreme Elimination Chamber, and in this match he had an extremely memorable performance. Michael Machina was not only the Elitist to eliminate Methuselah from the match, which is a very admirable feat in itself, but he’d go on to win the entire Chamber, winning his first World Championship just a few months after losing the New Breed Championship! Michael Machina has had an amazing year, and this was the best way he could’ve possibly closed it out. Michael Machina is heading into the new year as World Champion, and with how he’s been performing this could be one amazing reign. Congratulations to the new EAW World Champion!

(The camera opens up to a shot of EAW Headquarters, which is located in Newark, New Jersey. The camera pans around the building as always, before fading inside for a shot of the office of Molly Waters. Molly as always is seen in front of the camera with a smile on her face, and after a few seconds she begins to speak.)

Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen welcome back to Fight Grid, the source for news throughout the Land of Elite! Today we have some breaking news, as I am joined here today by none other than the Commissioner of Sunday Night Voltage, Captain Charisma!

(After this, Captain Charisma can be seen walking into the camera’s view. Molly continues.)

Molly Waters: Captain Charisma, thank you for joining me today as I’ve been told you actually have an announcement for us.

Captain Charisma: That’s right! Voltage has been an exciting show throughout this season and if there’s anything I always want to do it’s make sure that excitement lasts throughout the entire season. With that being said, while Wicked Games may be Voltage’s final Marquee Live Event of the year, we don’t plan to slow down here on Sunday nights. I’m here right now to announce that on November 17th, Sunday Night Voltage will be bringing back Super Voltage! The Super Voltage shows have always delivered, and I’m sure that will once again be the case this time around knowing that we’re quickly approaching the halfway point of this season.

Molly Waters: That is definitely a big announcement, and I’m sure the Elitists on the Voltage roster will be looking forward to competing on a show like this!

Captain Charisma: That’s right, and I’m glad you say that, because I can actually confirm one of the matches that will be happening at this event.

Molly Waters: Really?

Captain Charisma: Yeah, and it’s a good one. See, I’m sure we can all agree that things have become heated between Selina Reyes and Effy McAvoy, who will be facing each other at Wicked Games to finally settle the score. Well, I’ve raised the stakes for their match, and the winner will be receiving a shot at BRAE’s New Breed Championship. The reason I’m announcing this event is because Super Voltage is where BRAE’s Championship will be defended against either Selina or Effy.

Molly Waters: Wow! So at Super Voltage, we will see either Selina Reyes or Effy McAvoy take on BRAE for the New Breed Championship? That’s definitely a match to be on the lookout for, and I’m sure everyone is even more excited for this Wicked Games match than they already were knowing that this Super Voltage match is on the line.

Captain Charisma: Of course. Both Effy and Selina have tons of potential, and I think this may just give them one more push to bring everything they’ve got to their match at Wicked Games.

Molly Waters: Well Captain Charisma, thank you again for joining us tonight. This was a very big announcement, and I think we’re all looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

Captain Charisma: Anytime.

(Captain Charisma begins to take his leave, and Molly turns towards the camera before beginning to speak once more.)

Molly Waters: Well, not only do we have confirmation of Super Voltage, but we now know the first match for the show! That’s all I have for you guys today, but as always, you’ll be the first to hear any further information.

(Molly Waters waves towards the camera, and the camera begins to fade away from her office. The camera fades back to a shot of EAW Headquarters, and pans around the building one last time. After this, the camera fades to black.)

During the month of September, EAW saw one of its biggest events of the year in Territorial Invasion! This is the event where the three brands go head to head in various matches to see who will come out on top. One of the matches in question was the main event of the entire show, the War Games match! This highly competitive match has seen many different moments and victories over the years, but this year it saw history being made. This was all thanks to the three members of team Showdown, Bronson Daniels, the Universal Women’s Champion Milli Banks, and the team Captain and National Elite Champion Veena Adams! This was a history-making victory because for years, Showdown has been unable to win at this event. That would change this year though, and these three would contribute to what was a great night for Showdown by winning a highly competitive War Games match filled with fantastic talent. This definitely wasn’t an easy victory, but this was a highly capable team that proved to be able to get the job done. Veena, Milli, and Bronson had a great performance at Territorial Invasion and showcased how good of a team they had heading into it. This was a well deserved victory, so congratulations to Team Showdown for winning the War Games match!

Molly Waters is seen seated in front of the camera, and she has a smile on her face as she begins to speak.)

Molly Waters: Ladies and gentlemen welcome back to Fight Grid, your source for news all throughout the Land of Elite! As always I’m Molly Waters, and I have some breaking news for you all today regarding the Tag Team Turmoil tournament and its status, as last night saw a very significant change following Sunday Night Voltage.

Molly Waters: As we all know, Pandora Paisley and Daryl Kinkade of the British Invasion were able to advance in the tournament after Bea Valentine walked out on the match, leaving Cameron Ella Ava on her own to take the fall. This brought the British Invasion one step closer to potentially winning the Unified Tag Team Championships, though not with the duo they expected. However, after Voltage went off the air, there was an incident between Pandora and the newly returned Xander Payne.

(The camera shows a picture taken of what appears to be an altercation between Pandora Paisley and Xander Payne. Many security guards are seen as Pandora Paisley is holding her hand in pain. Meanwhile, Xander Payne appears to be holding a baseball bat. The image remains on the screen for a few more seconds, before Molly Waters begins to explain.)

Molly Waters: Following Voltage Pandora Paisley was having her right wrist checked out by the trainers. However, Xander Payne would storm in, smashing the hurt limb with a baseball bat. Daryl Kinkade and Halsey Neel were not around at the moment, which gave Xander the opportunity to strike when Pandora wasn’t in any condition to fight. Fortunately security guards were able to intervene before Xander could do any further damage, but from what I was told, he had a message for Pandora as well. He was overheard saying that this is only the beginning of the end for the British Invasion, and he told Pandora to make sure Halsey and Daryl understand not to ever mess with his family.

Molly Waters: Due to this unfortunate incident, Pandora has not been cleared to compete next week in the Tag Team Turmoil tournament finals. However, as a result of this attack by Xander, Captain Charisma and Eden Sinclair will be allowing Halsey Neel to replace Pandora. This means that the finals of this tournament will see Halsey Neel and Daryl Kinkade of the British Invasion work together in their attempt to win a shot at the Unified Tag Team Championships.

Molly Waters: That is all for now, but I will let you all know if I receive any further updates on the matter. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining me tonight. As always I am Molly Waters, signing off.

(After these words from Molly Waters, the camera begins to pan out, before fading to one more shot of EAW Headquarters. The camera pans around the building one more time, before beginning to fade to black.)

[SCREENBAR: POST-SUNDAY NIGHT VOLTAGE – 9/29/2024]

(For what it’s worth, Sunday Night Voltage went very well for one Michael Machina this week. As he walked backstage, he relished the memory of giving EAW World Champion Jake Smith a ‘Bullet From Hell’ into the steel steps, costing him his match against Methuselah. Fresh on his mind, he considered it breaking even after the stunt the former Captain tried to pull on him and his lover-in-denial Bea Valentine. Machina, personally, didn’t take very kindly to the words spoken out of the mouth of the Hall of Famer toward Bea and was quick to go to bat for her at the moment, but keen on continuing to try and cooperate with him despite that. But when the idea was pitched to finally turn their back on him when they needed him the most, they considered it a moment of poetic justice coming toward Jake Smith that weekend. It’s safe to say even in defeat, he was still quite happy with himself. But right now, beyond his ambitions, he had his focus on something else. That was to check in on his precious Phoebe who, judging by the events that occurred tonight, was not in the best shape.)

(As he approached the door to the locker room which he found himself entering and leaving one too many times this Season, the imposing figure who struck fear throughout the Voltage roster gave a gentle knock. After some time, the door creaked open, and he was greeted by the usual congregation of people that Phoebe had by her side.)

Michael Machina: Cornelius, Ashlynn, good to see you. Everything alright in here?

(There’s a momentary pause, with Cornelius tugging at his collar and Ashlynn whistling as she looked around the area. As he raised his eyebrow, Machina waved his hand at both of them.)

Michael Machina: Hello…?

Cornelius: Oh! My apologies, Mr. Machina. It’s just that we’re in the middle of a very… tense… situation right now involving Miss Valentine, I do hope you understand.

Michael Machina: I assumed so, that’s why I’m here. You gonna let me in?

(Ashlynn and Cornelius gave a look of uneasiness to each other, but they both knew that if one person was going to fix this, it would be him. After some time, Cornelius sighed.)

Cornelius: Of course. Though I will warn you, what you’re going to see is not for the faint of heart.

Michael Machina: That’s what I signed up for.

(Cornelius and Ashlynn stepped to the side and allowed Machina to let himself in. There, as he stepped foot inside, the feed would transition to a monochromatic black and white. He started coughing as he waved away large fumes of smoke, with the culprit having her back pressed firmly against a corner in the locker room, slumped down looking near unconscious. Bea Valentine was completely bent out of shape, disheveled with frizzled hair, it looked like she hadn’t washed herself in ages. In her hands was a cigarette she took a hit of it, and along with that, she would exchanged it for a gallon of milk, which she would then take a big gulp of right after. Machina takes a moment to digest the situation at the moment, before shaking his head as he clears his throat, hoping to get her attention.)

Bea Valentine: Oh… m- mon… D- Dieu…

Michael Machina: Phoebe, seriously?

Bea Valentine: Can you blame me, Mikey???

(Bea slammed the milk jug to the ground next to her, with it splashing everywhere before she tossed her cigarette away. She banged the back of her head against the wall behind her which made even Machina wince in fear before she continued on.)

Bea Valentine: I’ve hit rock bottom! Once a star, but my moment has come and gone. In theatre, success doesn’t happen overnight. It comes after continuously stealing the show every single time that you’re on stage. But you can only do that for so long, the sustainability in my field of work is very slim, and only comes to the elite. Alas, I am afraid I am not the elite. My life, my CAREER, IT’S OVER! I’ve peaked. I’m done. I can’t even beat Solomon Stane now.

(Bea sighed as she took another hit of the cigarette which she quickly scooped off the ground.)

Bea Valentine: There is no hope.

Michael Machina: Yes there is.

(Machina made his way over to her, as he crouched down to get on her level. Even as she was broken, in the worst shape of her career, he was still by her side. It’s like he said, it’s what he signed up for. Even after everything that happened, there was one constant, and that was that he was never going to leave her, especially not in this state.)

Michael Machina: There is… but you have to get your shit together. Look, I’ll help you. I’ll pull you off your feet, we can work together, train together, whatever. But this shit has to stop.

(Machina reached out and put his hand on her shoulder, and that comforting feeling immediately lowered her guard as her body relaxed. Her breathing slowed as Machina continued to have a stern expression as he continued.)

Michael Machina: Stop wallowing. Make the fucking changes.

Bea Valentine: Oh what’s the point, Mikey! It’s the same song and dance as always! You’re having the time of your life while I’m here, it’s clear that no matter how much you try and console me, you’ll always be the star. You’ve taken my spotlight!

Michael Machina: That is in no way true, and you’re going to have to get off your ass and accept that you’re so much more than what you make yourself out to be. Especially considering you have to team with Cam next week-

(Immediately, Bea gave a pained cry as she heard that. She buried her hands in her face as she continued to bang her head against the wall.)

Bea Valentine: What’s the point in that either?! I bring NOTHING to the table! I’m deadweight compared to the likes of her! We’re going to get eaten alive, and it’s all my FAULT!

Michael Machina: Look, this place is full of opportunity, and you’ll do great with her against British Invasion. I’ve got my own thing with Methuselah going on, but I’m sure we can find something we can do together.

Bea Valentine: Really?

Michael Machina: Really.

(Machina took both her hands and pulled her up to her feet, with Bea having no sort of pushback at the gesture at all. He rubbed his thumb against her hand as he continued.)

Michael Machina: I got you, but you have to trust me and let go of these… theatrics. Trust your talent. You’re capable of great things…

(Machina would then lean his head forward, with Bea looking up at him while he did.)

Michael Machina: And I’m going to make sure they happen for you.

(Then, in a gesture that not even Bea expected, Machina would kiss her on the forehead. He then squeezed her hand before he let go.)

Michael Machina: I’ll call you later.

(He would then turn around as he made his way out of the scene, and standing at the center of the room alone was a despondent Bea Valentine, who didn’t know what to make of the situation as she tried to gather her feelings, emotionally affected with how things went. It’s the last shot seen as, from there, the camera would fade out.)

(Fight Grid logo buzzes.)

(SCREENBAR – AFTER VOLTAGE EXCLUSIVE)

(The scene opens with Diamond Dixon and Tyrone Montgomery, wheeling their suitcases as they leave the arena after Voltage has concluded, side-by-side with another, and chatting.)

Cameraman: Excuse me. Diamond Dixon, Tyrone Montgomery, a word?

(The duo are brought to a stop as the cameraman calls out to them. Tyrone looks to Diamond Dixon, believing its her call, and she shrugs before addressing the camera.)

Diamond Dixon: Sure, why not? Granted, I thought to have made myself pretty clear out there in the ring. If I weren’t, then I apologize, and that’s on me. So, let me make this perfectly clear for anyone that may be watching. That way, there is no way to misconstrue it. Essentially, after both my performances at Bloodsport and Territorial Invasion, I want all the smoke. I’m not letting the momentum cool down, and if anything, Imma continue riding it until I’m a Champion.

Tyrone Montgomery: Which… won’t take long. Diamond Dixon has already defeated TWO former Specialists Champions like the generational talent she is. After years spent away from full-time action, Diamond Dixon is back, and hasn’t missed a beat.

Diamond Dixon: Tyrone mentioned two, but I’m not opposed to making it three either. Like I said, I’m open to smoke from any and everyone, whether they be from Voltage or anywhere else.

Tyrone Montgomery: All I ask is that Dynasty or Showdown send better than Holly Arrow and Aria Lestrade.

Diamond Dixon: Ain’t that the truth?

Tyrone Montgomery: Don’t get me wrong, they’re both talented…

Diamond Dixon: But they’re not a Minerva, who I’d love to step in the ring with, and add pinning a multiple World Champion to my resume as well. Of course, there’s other women on Dynasty as well. Women like Raven Roberts, who is a former world champ in her own right! I wouldn’t mind showing her that someone newer, faster, and stronger has arrived onto the scene too.

Tyrone Montgomery: Not to neglect Showdown either, they have quite the roster, some faces that we worked with during my run as Dynasty GM.

Diamond Dixon: Of course. Kassidy Heart, Sienna Jade, Milli Banks, who I plan to cross paths with in the very near future. But right now, if there is anyone on Showdown roster, who I am dying to face, and feel deserves an ass kicking the most…

(Diamond thinks to herself briefly.)

Diamond Dixon: It’s gotta be Harper Lee. No, not because of anything she’s said or done to me personally, but because I simply can’t stand her fake ass. She’s made a career out of backstabbing people, and last season, did it again. Managed to get away with it too at Pain for Pride. But after sharing a ring with Holly at Territorial Invasion, I can see why. Let’s be honest, the girl isn’t allat. But Harper, yo ass ain’t either, and I’d LOVE the opportunity to prove it whenever you think you can handle the smoke. Either way, I’m looking for someone worth my time to step up for Wicked Games.

Tyrone Montgomery: But speaking of Wicked Games…

Diamond Dixon: Out there, I promised that Wicked Games would be ANOTHER huge win for me, and I meant it. If I’m going to face anybody, they BETTER be worthwhile. But for anybody that has a problem with what I’m saying, then you can take it up with me. Face-to-face. After all, I’m not a hard woman to find. Next week. Hopefully, one of these hoes shows up.

(Diamond Dixon gives an intense stare into the camera before marching off, leaving Tyrone, who watches proudly with a grin on his face, knowing he’s got a star in Diamond Dixon.)

Tyrone Montgomery: So, any other questions? …didn’t think so.

(Tyrone Montgomery walks off as well, leaving the frame, and presumably catching up with Diamond as the camera fades to black on this Voltage exclusive.)
