Most Valuable Elitist #130

FOR GRAND RAMPAGE WEEK

Rising Star of the Week

Maddox Ayres

In order to start of this Most Valuable Elitist (that is like more than two weeks late), lets talk about Maddox Ayres who managed to find himself in the final seven of the Grand Rampage. Honestly, the fact that he made it that far is an accomplishment in itself. Someone who is basically a rising star in EAW and to have come as far as he did was something that I did not believe was possible. I thought Maddox was amazing throughout the match and minus Theron Nikolas, he was one of the young talents who had showed up into EAW within the last year to have made an impact in the match. Sure, he didn’t go on to win the event, but I felt like he needed this to help get his momentum going which I felt wasn’t the same since the start of January. Hopefully, this places him in the right back and that he can have some steam going for him.

Show of the Week

Grand Rampage
Holy shit! This entire event was amazing from tip-to-toe! The new champions gained from this match were nothing less, but amazing. Congrats to Ahren, Rex, Cody, Stephanie and others I will congratulate down in this list! I felt like this was a night where I felt people who were WAY more than deserving of being champion finally got the gold around their wastes. I thought some of the people mentioned were some of the most hardworking people in the roster. People like Rex, Ahren and Stephanie, who constantly put in the hard work to earn magical moments like this. People like Cody, who are very underrated and underestimated in their own parts. With the new wave of champions, I feel very optimistic about what this road of Pain for Pride is going to be about. Hopefully, smooth sailing from here.

Match of the Week

Grand Rampage Match

Honestly, I have to give this to the Match of the Night, the Grand Rampage Match. The returns from this match happened to be some of the best returns we have seen in years. CM Banks, Tyler Parker, Prince of Phenomenal, Hurricane Hawk, etc. There was some returns that I did not expect like Johnny Ventura and TLA. There was a part of me that thought we would never see Banks around again in EAW, but behold, he managed to be part of the final four. I thought the biggest story revolving the match was if Theron was going to pull the big win and become Answers World Championship. The thought of him costing Banks his elimination seemed like it was setting up a potential Pain for Pride match? CM Banks vs. Theron Nikolas? Would be a hell of a match. From trying to think back on the match, I loved how we got old rivalries such as Jamie O’Hara vs. TLA reignited and this, along with more things, was just a trip to memory lane for me. It was also nice to see Terry Chambers break his record from the last Grand Rampage he participated in. :eyes: Seriously, this was one of the more memorable Grand Rampages to be a part of and like I said, it has made me excited for what Pain for Pride season has to bring.

Promoer of the Week

See MVE.

First of all, congratulations, Chelsea. You did an amazing job, but I expect nothing less from you. Secondly, I thought Chelsea’s promos were some of the best from the entire week, Specialist Rampage, Grand Rampage or outside of it. It was obvious in the Specialists Rampage that she as miles ahead of her competition. We had some good promoers and the final two was the correct final two, but I wouldn’t have changed the result and I would have made Chelsea win if I had that type of power. But, this girl (IC), has proven to be on point since she debuted and it wasn’t if, but when she was going to get her title. I cannot wait to see this reign go. I think she is worthy of having some time with the title. Maybe, even a Pain for Pride title retain, but the future is bright with her.

Champion of the Week

Chris Elite

Minus our GOAT Goddess, Chris Elite was the other man to have retained his championship at Grand Rampage. I mean, has you seen the amount of title matches out of the nine matches we had? Like six title changes out of the eight title matches we had (EAWC, AWC, Interwire, Specialists, Women’s, Hardcore.) This was like what other wrestling company have you seen have title matches happening in every other match? :eyes: Not sure if there was any doubt that he would drop the title, but if there was, you were wrong and you should feel bad for yourself. By the looks of things, I have no clue what Chris’ Pain for Pride Match is going to be. Maybe, I’ll get a better idea of when I read the shows from next week, but constantly, I am amazed with how he pushes through and proves his haters (is there even any?) wrong. Honestly, be one of the only World Champions to successfully retain their titles gives him an automatic spot on this list. Like :wow:

Most Valuable Elitist

Carlos Rosso and Chelsea Crowe

To the winner of our 2018 Grand Rampage, Carlos Rosso! Finally! Does this make him a Triple Crown Champion? (AWC, Tag, Interwire)? What are the qualifications for a Triple Crown and Grand Slam? These are questions I demand answers for, but I was worrying for a second because no shade to Carlos, there was times where I did not think he was going to get the job done. In the match, Keelan got eliminated WAY sooner than expected and having Carlos handle things on his own was something I did not expect to happen. I was probably one of the few people who doubted Carlos on even getting the job done. There was some disgusting feeling in my stomach that thought that Carlos would make it to the final four and that would be the farthest he would go. Happily, he was able to eliminate Mr. DEDEDE to win, but the final four he was in was no joking matter. Theron, Banks and DDD are no jokes whatsoever.

First of all, congratulations, Chelsea. You did an amazing job, but I expect nothing less from you. The fact of outlasting nineteen other women is surreal. Obviously, you knew you had this match in the bag because you always seem so confident in yourself.

Note: As for Cloud and Carlos, I am so sorry that you weren’t able to see your wins live. You two were not deserving of that and it sucks when controversy outshines deserving moments like that. You two are some of the most deserving of your wins out of the entire weekend. It sucks that we all didn’t get to spam and “WOOOOOOOO” the two of you. You two are awesome and some of the most deserving winners of the weekend. Shout out to Cloud, Carlos, Chelsea, Chris and all of our winners at Grand Rampage
